Stopped working after update... I recently tried to upload a destination from my phone into the device but the device stopped communicating with my iPhone 6S+.. It used to work before I dunno if an iOS update broke it but now I have no traffic updates either, seems that the problem is widespread seeing the recent review this hasnt been fixed yet. I tried updating my GO 600, re-install the app but nothing.. I will update my review when the problem is fixed.

MyDrive. Not a big fan of MyDrive it’s not accurate when I search instead of giving me the close by option it give me far away and something else. Like for example I search for United States postal service it show me ups I don’t have no business in ups. Please fix this issues or I have to return tomtom gps and get garmin. CAN YOU PLEASE UPDATE THE MAPS MORE ACCURATE AND FASTER. Most of the address don’t exist on tomtom. I know it’s new bla bla. Apple already have google have it but tomtom a year later will have it.

What the Hell. How many more months do folks need to wait for you to fix the connection to your gps units. I have a model 400 motorcycle that was great as I could connect to my phone to download a route save to internet account (mydrive). Now I have to download to gps from computer 😡 which I do not carry when traveling. GPS will not connect to internet like it used to. I have tried resetting, logout, login, but no joy. Also, will not find a address if traveling beyond “near me”. GPS says paired but no internet connection?

What happened?. I used this app for years with my IPhone 6s Plus, and it worked great. Never had any issues. I since upgraded my phone to the IPhone X and now my phone (with the app and Bluetooth on) won’t connect to the GPS at all. This is either the GPS software or the app software. Either way can you please fix this issue? People depend on your product to work as advertised. Update: So I really never rate apps or do reviews but I was a little unfair when I rated this’s app a 1 star. Since writing the previous review, I uninstalled the app, and removed it from Bluetooth on my IPhone X. I then removed the software from my GPS on the MyDrive website. I reinstalled both and reconnected the GPS to my phone via Bluetooth and everything is working great now. If you’re having issues try this, it worked for me.

Used to work...but now???. I just upgraded to an IPhone XR and I can’t get my TOM TOM 600 Trucker GPS to connect to my phone. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. Deleted my phone from the Unit and re-connected it. Nothing. This is mighty frustrating, because I LOVED THE TRAFFIC UPDATES, and I knew where the slow downs were going to happen and I was prepared, instead catching a traffic situation unprepared. PLEASE FIX!!! Or I will have to abandon TOM TOM😭

Never connects to the device. I have both a device and the nevigation app. I am confused why the don’t use the navigation app to communicate to the device. I have to have this that is well never communicates. On top of that i was told to use my phone as a hotspot. But I don’t nor want to use an unlimited data stream while I am driving. No where can I see any mention of data usage. I expect more from a Dutch company

All the Bad Reviews are True. Won’t connect to iPhone X running iOS 13. Features claimed by developer and TomTom are irrelevant since app won’t pair with phone. Similar reviews have been piling up for months. Obviously, TomTom has no plans whatsoever to maintain app or support people unfortunate enough to have purchased its product. Windows version of their software for communicating with Go 620 doesn’t work either. If you’re reading this before you bought a TomTom GPS or if you can still return the device for a refund, lucky you.

Do not buy!!. After using a TomTom 550 XXL for almost 8 years, I was excited to try the Trucker 620. Unfortunately, it seems as though TomTom went out of their way to make this unit super complicated and frustrating to use. Why would you force people to use an app in conjunction with your gps? I could have just used the phone and saved $300. I am, apparently going to have to hook the 620 up to my computer to import a list of poi’s as I haven’t been able to find any trucking poi’s on my new trucker gps. These gps’s should be able to be used “out of the box” as most will be purchased on the road at truck stops. How sad. TomTom really missed the mark with this gps and app combo. How about a stand alone gps so that I don’t get a ticket Messing with my phone trying to get it to hook up to the gps. As a gps, the Trucker 620 makes a spectacular paper weight.

Does not connect properly. I can connect my telephone to my GOS device. When I get calls, texts the device will play them. However, when I try to get the device to use the data on my telephone, it does not work. I’ve tried to find solitons on your help page. Nothing was helpful. I bought this new device for the traffic, and the have never been able to use it. I’m am very displeased with this app.

TomTom uses wrong Bluetooth Channel. For some reason, TomTom’s data interface with iPhone is on the Bluetooth channel for audio content. If you connect your TomTom to your phone by Bluetooth for traffic updates, every time the TomTom checks in with the phone, it interrupts any audio content streaming from the phone to the head unit on the vehicle or headphones. It’s really annoying — getting silences when TomTom checks in. Needs to be fixed.

Worthless. This app never works correctly. Constantly won’t connect to the phone that is a foot away. You spend $300 on a GPS for traffic that doesn’t work. It’s a joke and bad business. False promises Update-no instructions that Tom Tom gives you works. Everything was reset, forgotten, reinstalled. It DOES NOT STAY CONNECTED TO BLUETOOTH. What’s the point in advertising traffic updates when you do not provide a means to utilize them. Maybe focus on creating an update for your app that works rather than give instructions that do not address the issue or resolve anything. Good luck with US customer service - I.e a call center in India. This will be my last Tom Tom purchase ever.

Couldn’t even sign up.. This app is super broken. I tried creating an account and it said that my email was already used when I’ve never owned a tomtom. Went to “forgot password” and it sends me to the website (also broken) and when I enter my email it says “attempt failed”. Then for some reason it went through once and it gave me the option to choose a new password but it still came up “attempt failed”. Don’t bother responding to this, I don’t want to contact anyone from support. I’m leaving this to dissuade others from downloading this app or buying TomToms. Just use your phone everyone.

Ok if you are using only this to navigate.. If you are only using this to navigate? It’s ok once you get past that you usiallhave to search twice to get to the route screen. Most of the time searching will get the destination on the drop down, but when tapping on the destination? It usually gets you back to a blank search again. Second time works flawlessly. My experience working in conjunction with my Go Supreme? Might as well just get the destination sent to it. Planning a route is worthless on the app when it only sends the destination. Being that they do not update this app too often; I will put connectivity issues on the phone updates. I will get a month of it staying connected only to find it a hassle at times to just get it connected. Otherwise a good research tool. Not the best, but which one is? 11 oct 22 update I assume the app is not ready for iOS 16? Or is it just getting worse. I now get the my new phone paired to the supreme but the app will not recognize it? Cannot even use it as a navigation tool now. Still wants me to pair the phone to my navigation device! It IS paired! I have owned 5-6 TomTom devices. They used to be good. No Mr/Mrs developer; I do not want a link to your support website. Tired of trying to find solutions on your site.

Embarrassing. I have a Tom Tom go600 that I wanted to use. Bought it 4 years ago and I remember why I chose to use my garmin instead. This app is out right embarrassing. It appears to pair with my iPhone 8plus but can’t fully connect to the app. I restarted the iPhone and the TomTom device also and still does not connect. What an embarrassing Product in this technology age. No wonder why Most people use garmin instead. I’m an Uber driver in nyc so I exclusively use Waze and google. But always like to have a backup to use so I use my Garmin for backup. I was considering buying the new tomtom 620, but now I’m having doubts. Might just stick with the Garmin since it’s a lot more reliable. But this issue is just outright Embarrassing. And I also remember that this device didn’t allow you to search for intersections. What a joke. I wish I didn’t give 1 star. That’s to much. I dont think I ever gave any product a 1 Star.

Great idea, very glitchy app. I want to love this app. It saves me the hassle of having to program everything manually into my TomTom, but it’s extremely glitchy. I have to log out and in to get it to properly upload my new map. The only way to upload my trip is through WiFi, Bluetooth connects but it won’t update. It will lock up if I leave the app, return and try to select another location. If I add too many locations to my trip the app will lock up and crash. It’s an extremely great idea, just loaded with issues from my experience.

Not working. I just purchased a Tom Tom rider 550. Tried connecting to my iPhone 14 and won’t connect. One of the reasons I purchased was to see incoming messages and Siri. App just seems to not be compatible. If you try and click on watch video or read the FAQ within the app the video is private and you can’t play and read the FAQ redirects you to a page that doesn’t load. Too much of a hassle. Will be deleting app and returning gps.

Unable to locate address. I bought this G0 Supreme for more detailed directions but a simple address within a 10-15 mile radius that we need to go to, it couldn’t find. I had to use Waze and right there in a split second popped the address. How good is that using my phone app vs this piece of useless expensive, hyped TomTom gps. It cannot even detect traffic ahead and or re- route you for faster route when there’s a jammed highway. Limited POI’s on the route, you can’t plan your stop for what you wanted but they do have poi of their own interests. There’s other GPS companies out there that I have not tried, give me your feedbacks and recommendation!

Constant lost connection, connected..... I’ve used Tom Tom nav for many years over 2 devices but this GO 60 is the most disappointing. Will not load any destination via Bluetooth because it is constantly cycling between lost connections and connecting. Losing my faith in the brand, there has to be something better out there. The GO 60 gets zero stars, the one I had to give was to post the review only. After having received a developer response, and seeing so many would be users with the SAME issue, the only answer they have is to call tech support. That is the first course of action and when those attempts failed, I was compelled to join the collective and share my discontent. Unlimited data pkg and Google Maps is the new way to go from here to anywhere!

Zero Stars, please!?!?. MyDrive — in all its forms, including this app — is an embarrassment. I do not believe the developers have actually used the app. Simple functional lift is not possible. Want to see the step-by-step directions or even basic details of an individual leg of a MyRoute? Not possible after the route has been saved inside MyDrive. The only way to see the details after a MyRoute has been saved in MyDrive is to hunt around on a TomTom GPS device itself. MyDrive is useless after one has saved a route. That’s just one simple example of how user-UNfriendly this app and the MyDrive system are

Enough w the login BS!!. I have to re-login nearly every other time I start my truck. It’s incredibly frustrating and generally not timely as the auto is usually in motion before you notice updated traffic hasn’t registered. It’s a map service, not a bank account. Why not even remember my user name?! It’s definitely enough frustration that I’m always thinking of buying another brand of device.

Room for improvement. Like everything there is room for improvement, but it works. The annoying “PLAN ROUTE” issue that occurred after an update resolved itself without having to uninstall and reinstall the app. I did, however, restart my phone, which is something I do every morning.

App is terrible. The Tomtom Go Supreme I purchased is nice. The app, however, will not connect with my iPhone XsMax for real time traffic via Bluetooth. I tried to use the app to report a problem via the “talk to us” in the menu and got an error. Half the time the Bluetooth says it’s connected but in the Tomtom device menu it says “unable to connect”. What gives? The real time traffic is my main reason for upgrading from my old Via. I deleted the app. Useless. May return the $200 device as well. --Thanks for getting back to me, but nothing I try works for Bluetooth. The closest I get to real time traffic is to use my phone’s WiFi hotspot. I deleted the app. Let me know if you decide to fix it (seems like I am not the only one with this problem).

Stinks for iPhone.. I used to love this app and my TomTom but then I lost live traffic due to an update on my iPhone. This has never been fixed by TomTom which I think with all the iPhone users they would address this. I bought my TomTom with live traffic for life but that was a lie. Very disappointed because TomTom has the best navigation maps in the business. Just so sad.

I did a 1 star at first..... If you can update your device it’ll sync phone to it. I was having troubles until I got home and updated the gps.

No longer works with iPhone 7 or higher!. App used to work with my iPhone 6... Upgraded to Xr and no go!! GO 60 will start to pair with phone, but will not communicate!! Tried many suggestions all mentioned in reviews and from developers, and nothing works. And this has been a known issue for over 6 months and no resolution. Very disappointed in TomTom... especially when I read that Garmin doesn’t seem to have these problems...

Terrible. All the reviews are correct, maybe this app is dead and all those with TomTom devices are left with a useless device. My old original TomTom worked great for years and displayed real time traffic conditions all by itself! Now, With a newer TomTom, you have to download a cumbersome app and connect your phone to the device via Bluetooth just to get traffic. The Bluetooth connection never works! And the app suggests, in case of connectivity issues to use your cell phone hotspot!! The whole reason for me using a TomTom on long trips was to NOT use my phone/data/battery. So what’s the point of the TomTom when it requires an additional phone navigation app to work properly! (And then doesn’t!!) Definitely not an improvement and a waste of money.

TomTom go stoped working with iPhone 7plus. For some reason my TomTom and IPhone don’t like each other now after several years of no problems my gps won’t connect with the my drive app it says they are not compatible . Not a happy camper I need this feature as I do HVAC work and don’t need to be sitting in traffic looks like I might need a new gps , tried resetting everything with no progress , not sure about TomTom the last one I had the screen went out in 2 years, had this one about the same length of time now it’s just a fancy paper weight UPDATE After spending over 45 minutes with customer support trying to get this problem figured out there was absolutely no success, was told that they were working on it and maybe in about a month there was a new update that may fix the problem. To me this unit is junk , won’t buy another tomtom , my gps was bought in 2016. You would think they would last longer than that, he also told me that this was a on going problem. But with the billions of dollars this place makes you might think they would recall this unit and give you one that works or even sell you one at a discounted price. And that answer is NO. Headed out to buy another gps ( not tomtom )..! Last update Just bought a GARMIN gps and got rid of all my problems, have a nice life tomtom , never again will I buy any of your products

It's better than it was. Traffic works now, and it keeps connection. The only issue seems to be "send destination" or "send to device" it keeps saying sync failed. Garmin seems to be so far ahead of tomtom on everything but the maps. That's why I still use tomtom. But please fix the bugs

Not able to paired my new iPhone. I recently upgrade my iPhone and I’m now unable to paired my new phone with my Tomtom go 60. I current keep getting the error MyDrive is not on (It is), and Bluetooth is not on (it still is) on my Tomtom screen. It’s was working just fine with my old iPhone 7. Please help me to correct this problem. I’ve enjoyed this product until now. Thanks

Poor Performance since Oct 2019. Called Tomtom tech several times then gave up because they continued to blame Apple updates. They were never able to resolve the issue GO620 has. It never connect Hot Spot; you have to uncheck and then check them TomTom sees it. So basically as soon as Ignition off you have to do same exercise. Incoming text is never enabled and not working. No updates done to resolve the issue. I may be thinking to buy alternative GPS now. Using Tomtom since 2008. Bought and used several versions of GPS and recommended to my friends and relatives. Feel ashamed now. Thanks Tomtom for not fixing the issues.

IT WORKS NOW!!! Live traffic!. I have the GO 500 and the TomTom app never work with the iPhone bluetooth connection. It acted like a basic gps, no traffic. I have been using it without traffic because I love the navigation display and routes. I even purchased a new device because I wanted the live traffic, and still had the same problem. So I returned it. I have been waiting for this app to be worked on for the iPhone for a very long time. I noticed a new update with a new look on the icon app. I said to myself, this might be the one. And sure enough, IT WORKS NOW!!! I have live traffic!!! Great job TomTom with the update! I’m so glad I kept the old device. My confidence is back with this product. Thanks again! 👍🏼 Update!: App still needs work. Traffic still works. However... Try to send a location on the app to the device and it just buffers. When I arrived to my location, it finally sent it to the device causing it to reboot. I open the app and it was still buffering. Had to shut my phone off to reset app. Noticed on the app that some fonts are dark grey on black background. Very hard to read. Very bad on (My Places). You can’t see it at all. Update again: Updated to IOS 14.4. The dark grey on black background is fixed now to black font on white. Traffic is not working now. I keep getting (Unable to connect to TomTom My Drive). 😞

Pretty good. Pretty good and easy to use. I like that the iPhone app connects to my TomTom Comfort. I like that I’m able to set up my favourite places and routes on either the iPhone or website on my MacBook and sync to the TomTom Comfort device. The live traffic updates is a nice feature.

Goodbye my friend. A really horrible app. Since tomtom decided to only support traffic through your phone on the go supreme, a reliable connection crucial. If you try four our five times and cross your fingers, you MIGHT get the two devices to connect. That connection however will never restore once you turn off the tomtom. The only way I’ve been able to connect them again is to delete this app and they again for upwards of 45 minutes to get them to talk to each other. I’m returning the tomtom and will but a Garmin. It 1) has a traffic cable but can also use the smart phone and 2) it doesn’t have connection issues. Time to leave my long time friend tomtom I’m afraid.

Is this app dead?. I try and use this app. I really do. But it does seem like there really is no support for Apple devices from the developer. I have two TomTom devices, both a TomTom Rider 550 and Go Supreme. Both work great, they just do not connect with my phone and that is a real bummer. There have not been any updates in over a year, even though there have been new devices from both Apple and TomTom. The developer support link also appears to be dead as well. Some feedback or assistance would be great.

Still badly outdated app!. First, and I’ve reported this to TomTom Support, is my GO50 always ask permission to connect. Super annoying! I want to place my phone in its cradle and just drive. Not sit there until TomTom finally prompts to allow the Bluetooth connection. This has been consistent through the latest iPhone X series. The app layout and the map UI are also dated. They need to be brought in to 2019. Hmm...my Garmin doesn’t prompt to allow the BT connection....

Great device, obnoxious app. I love my new go 40s device, and like the traffic feature through my iPhone, but each and every time I start my car, the app asks if it can connect. You get 2 choices. Ignore, but I presume I won't get traffic. The other selection is connect, which launches this app. I just want to connect, but no launching of the app. There's no setting that I see to do that. Oh, if you don't select either, and just drive, you get connected. Okay, I could just always never do anything, but I'm usually wanting to do something - one last SMS - before I start to drive. 2018 November update: I use my Tomtom all of the time, but have given up getting real traffic updates or sending my destination from my iPhone because it never works. It is still amazing to me that when I start my car, the app breaks into whatever I am doing to ask if I want to connect. I want it to **always** connect without fail, but there’s no setting anywhere that says always connect. My old radio-based-traffic Tomtom never asked, and somehow it figured out that there was traffic ahead. As for transferring my address from my iPhone, my Tomtom address entering interface is so slow and nonsensical (It should guess that I’m looking for an address at least in a 50 or 100 km radius instead of suggesting the first item in Colorado when I’m in Los Angeles) that it makes the lack of being able to send an address from my iPhone all the more painful.

Traffic simply doesn’t work. Connected to an iPhone 7. Traffic info does not work. Have all the latest software updates and while the phone shows paired ( two devices with TomTom name) the display on both phone and 620 show not connected. Followed help instructions with the same problem. Right now the iPhone maps works better than TomTom does. Very unhappy. UPDATE: After getting “workaround” instructions I followed everything as described and traffic still does not work. I continue to get “ device not in range” errors when the iPhone is sitting right next to the TomTom 620. It’s becoming expensive shelfware at this point.

Landscape Mode - The App Crashes when adding places. I really like TomTom’s products, but our sense of convenience is constricted through your lack of versatility in the MyDrive app. There’s no Landscape Mode for your application so it limits how I can use my IPad while your using your application, and sometimes the application shuts down completely when I add new places to my device through MyDrive or when I try to send addresses to my phone. Can you help us out TomTom?

Disappointed. The 620 is extremely slow when setting up my routes and with changing as I go to the next step as I progress through my routes. After setting up a route I’ll check the route it has set up. The directions will start off reading fine and then they will repeat themselves and I’ll get messages for unnamed road for a common street or route. Last night for instance, I setup a route. I’m on I-24S in KY and all of a sudden the screen starts flashing from the route screen to the screen when its searching. Not very happy with it.

Rip off. Bought a new tomtom go comfort and am very disappointed! Seems tomtom can’t get anything to work right! The app doesn’t work and I can’t sign in for days of deleting it and reinstalling it. Also the live traffic doesn’t work on the gps! Maybe worked twice! I know how to install programs ets on different devices so it isn’t something wrong I’m doing, it’s just bad software that doesn’t work! Sad, tomtom use to be a good product.

Non-Persistent, inconsistent connectivity. Application does not remain connected with Tom Tom 620 for traffic subscribers. Must uninstall my drive, forget all Tom Tom Bluetooth connections, delete phone from Tom Tom, and then reinstall My Drive, add phone, and reestablish Bluetooth connection every time the Tom Tom goes to sleep or shuts off. Hotspot with phone is equally good unreliable. WiFi at the house connects and shows traffic with no issues. Problem is strictly with My Drive application. I like Tom Tom products. I would never have purchased a 620 had I known this would be an issue. Very disappointed and frustrated. If an application update will fix the problem, I will certainly change my review.

Does not work for iPad (in landscape or horizontal mode). The GPS is used in Horizontal mode, why can’t the app be used in horizontal mode? We use the iPad with a keyboard and stand to plan our trips, but unfortunately this app does not rotate - you can only use in vertical mode. Being a GPS company, I would expect TomTom to have the best Navigation app - they should talk internally about putting resources into this division.

Cannot get any resolve from Tom Tom or Apple. I had the iPhone 7. I also have a work phone that is a iPhone 6. I have to use the MyDrive app to get traffic updates. On both phones was working fine. Until it stopped working on the iPhone 7 Plus. Figuratively it is a software compatibility. The iPhone 6 continues to operate with the GPS. But the problem is that the phone belongs to my job. I need the GPS to be working at full capacity because I use it for work. Because it is a trucker GPS. When I go on vacation I needed to work on my personal phone. I need a solution on why it will not work on a iPhone 7 or iPhone X which I upgraded to. I tried support can’t get a direct telephone number to figure this problem out. This problem has to be fixed. The GPS cost me almost $300 that’s a lot of money. Not to have it work at full capacity. I’ll be doing research on different GPS. I believe this will be my last tom-tom I won’t buy another one.

Mediocre app. It works but is lackluster. Would be nice if "feedback" section worked. I try to submit feature requests but they fail in error. Garmin user for 10 years. Tried tomtom. They excel in some areas, fall short in others. I'd give feedback to help improve the products if I could.

Always asks to “Allow” to connect constantly. After the new iOS came out this thing constantly asks to connect as other reviews are stating. I’ve done everything. Even let them check my logs and no fix. I had the 6plus when the new iOS came out and it started doing this. Then when I upgraded to the iPhone X it still does the same exact thing. It’s clearly a bug in their software and they refuse to fix it. Dangerous for drivers to keep on having to press that all day long. And we’re all telling you the same problem! Stop replying to call you as if it’s a one person incident! Update this thing already! Law suit waiting to happen UPDATE to developer response. I clearly said I let y’all check my logs so obviously I’ve contacted y’all. This is the type of responses to the ppl complaining, like y’all think it’s just gonna go away

Junk software development. I went against my better judgement and upgraded from an old Garmin to a TomTom Rider 550. Problems? Where do I begin? Web site link for app that is displayed on device doesn’t work in US. 99 percent of pre-built routes are outside the US. 99 percent of POIs are outside the US. Web site targets buyers and users outside North America. Had to factory reset the device to get it to pair successfully with Bluetooth through the app (the only way if you want traffic). No built in radio data, so you will not get various alerts unless your phone has a signal and keeps its connection to the device. Can’t download POIs because no one in the US seems to be making any, including TomTom. App says to go to device to setup Bluetooth connection and device says to go to phone to setup connection. It’s a train wreck of engineering, and a customer comedy. And, no, I’m not accessing a site outside the US, I’m using the US site. No, I’m not calling support. It’s working, but it’s cr@p. You should fire your developers.

Still an iPhone hassle. iPhone connects but no features are connected. Why research issues for hours the TomTom Rider main purpose was phone and navigation and it’s not very good at either. TomTom even when told to use a direct route prefers scenic but that might be a user issue but again why make it complicated I just want a direct route and my phone to connect. Been using the Garmin instead as the TT is heavier for a paperweight. Trying again today for another two hours. Don’t recommend. Just silicone your cheap Garmin and use that on the cycle instead. B

It is been too long. I do not know why TomTom does not listen to people and fix this app. I read hundred of posts from other people that have the same problem as me. Device does not connect to app!!!! Used to be good but for a year does not work. Fix it!!! Ps. Your suggestion to delete app, reset device, reinstall and pair does not work. Your software is simply incompatible with latest iPhones. After iPhone 6 Plus it does not work.

Back online. Maybe your servers were down when I had login issues! A version or two later and things in general appear more stable. It is still mildly annoying that it logs out randomly every now and then, but I can live with that. It does what it is supposed to when used with my tomtom. Those looking for a standalone app should consider the TomTom GO app instead.

Unable to connect - Resolved. Unable to connect to Tom Tom MyDrive. Bluetooth connects fine by can’t sync traffic Update: I was finally able to connect after two days of troubleshooting and contacting customer service. Found a post on the forum. If you have an older TomTom device, you have to click “TomTom device does not have Bluetooth in the Settings menu.” And then it magically connects. It’s working great now but still leaving a 4 start reviewing for the inaccurate support troubleshooting steps.

Tomtom Go. This is not an acceptable replacement for the expensive app I had originally purchased. I don't honestly can't even figure out this new app, but I assume it's only reason for existing is to make the developers or someone somewhere more money, since the original app was perfect and needed no corrections. So now rather than fighting with this mess I'm just going to find a new GPS app. I'm guessing most people will do the same. Sorry tomtom but I give this 👎🏻👎🏻.

App is garbage. I just downloaded this app and tried to create an account , it doesn’t allow me to create a password. As soon as I typed in my email address and try to set a password, I can’t even enter a password into the space provided because no keyboard comes up from my phone. I am using iPhone with IOS 14.3.

Great when it works, not so much when it doesn’t. When the Bluetooth connection is good, this app is great. Unfortunately, a lot of times when I turn my TomTom back on, it just won’t connect and I have to re-pair the TomTom with my phone. Everything else that I connect to with Bluetooth works fine, and the TomTom will connect to my phone’s wifi so it must be this app that’s the problem

The tomtom rider400 cannot communicate with this app. I reported this issue last year to the tech support tomtom and it was never fixed I am very disapointed to have bought a product that needs a phone app MyDrive to work with trafic info but cannot connect with this app...

Don't believe a word tomtom claims!. All your marketing material claims that this app will use only 7mb a month for 1-2 hours use per day of traffic, is nothing but a lie! I've used over 40mb in 2 days just trying it out around town!!! What gives? This was supposed to be the killer app for me, but sadly the device, along with the bandwidth-hungry app is going back to Bestbuy tomorrow. Careful what you promise, Tomtom...somebody might believe it. Geeesh

Keeps disconnecting. My GPS keeps disconnecting with my phone. I keep emailing tom-tom they keep tell me somethings wrong with my phone. I give up! Wont be purchasing a tom-tom again.

Tomtom paid app. I paid 59.99 for the app not long ago and it's been replaced by this. Where is my money? Will never use anything that has to do with Tomtom again

Only missing one feature. First I would like to say we love the TomTom Rider 550 and the MyDrive app. However, there is one feature missing from the iOS app. The fifth star would be awarded if I could only import a .gpx file. I know I can do imports on the desktop browser version but I don’t bring a computer with me on road trips. This feature would be very useful on the mobile app as well. iOS has access to file storage like the iCloud or Dropbox which will facilitate importing route files.

Bluetooth ... what are you talking about?. Hi, The GPS by itself is ok, but the parting of the phone through the application is just completely wrong. It doesn’t work! I think they should take off any mention of Bluetooth in their gps description!

Lots of Technical Issues. Have been having lots of “server” issues with the TomTom MyDrive App. The biggest two were being constantly logged off the app, and two my GO60 would connect to my phone I’d get the “allow” pop up and it would then say “Cannot connect to MyDrive”. I’ve reset the device, reset my phone to no success! I downloaded the recent update and installed it. Seems to have helped but I’ll check it out tomorrow and see if it truly fixed the issue.

Worked for the first 6 months back in 2016 and will not connect on my iPhone at all.. It would be nice if they could fix it for iPhone I have 3 iPhones 6, X and 11.

What a rip off.. I originally bought the TomTom Us-Canada version for my iPhone. Then one day while upgrading it disappeared and I am left wit TomTom Go and My Drive both of which I now have to pay in order to be able to use their maps. What a rip off. I should get a refund for the amount I originally paid for the Us-Canada version which had also included free life time updates. Better off going with Navigon or Garmin.

Useless. Error connection

Unable to connect to MyDrive. Ever since version 2.2 was released my GO500 has not been able to connect to MyDrive. There has been 2 upgrades to this software since then and still no fix. I have been in contact with customer service only to be told that it is a known issue and a solution is in the works. TomTom please fix this issue, my patience is running thin.

It doesn’t work My device is connected to iPhone via Bluetooth, no problem, but I see No internet for Traffic and No internet for MyDrive. Abysmal. My 620 fails to connect to data since new, the app is a waste of time if the phone does not connect. I should have bought a gps without data! Had a response from TomTom suggesting ways around the problem but no of them work for me :( Also the contact us function in the app does not work - maybe as I am in Canada?

I was confused by the instructions. I'm using the app with the Go 520. Aside from navigation, traffic is very important. I couldn't get traffic to work until I, just by chance, turned on my phone's personal hotspot. It would have been nice if this was part of the instructions.

DOES NOT WORK WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION. Stay away! Piece of junk! Stranded on the side of the road because this app will not work without internet connection. TomTom support is pitiful. Got back to me 24 hrs later. Thank God for CoPilot! No internet? No problem. Got me to my destination safe and sound.

Connect. App will not connect to my Tom Tom 400. It use too until the update. The device and phone go through the process as they should, they show as paired, but the device will not jive with the app.

Does not sync with iPhone 8 Plus iOS 12.4.1. Have reset all devices as per TomTom guidance. iOS states: Connection Unsuccessful -“TomTom Go 600 not supported “. Now what? I’ve been attempting to sync these 2 devises for 8 months and have had no luck. Most frustrating as the GPS becomes unusable as a reliable source of current information.

Latest Update?? Ridiculous!!!. TomTom was my go-to app for traffic, etc BEFORE the latest update. Before when I launched the App, it would access where I was, and I saw all the traffic around me. I could plan my route from there! Now when I launch the App, I start from a view so far away there are no roads visible. I have to tap the little arrow icon EVERY TIME I launch the App. Then when it zooms in, wherever there is a red line indicating traffic, it disappears the closer it gets. Zoom out a little, traffic appears again. Frankly, I can no longer trust that this App is showing me correct information. Google Maps for me then!!

Terrible. Ever since updating I have to log in every time I turn my device on, not only do I have to log in I have to retype my username and password everytime, it's almost enough to get me to just use waze and get rid of my tomtom device. I'm beyond frustrated.

Unusable. Would give it zero stars if possible. The road names and numbers are so tiny they are impossible to read. Even when pinching to zoom in, they remain the same tiny size. Also, the planned route blue lines and traffic red/orange lines overlay the street names and highway numbers so even if you can read the tiny writing, it is impossible to see Totally useless!

I regret ever buying my TomTom Rider. This is impossible to use unless you just want to turn it on and follow where it wants to take you. Absolute garbage. Original version. Is there an app like the original TOMTOM app, where all the maps were loaded to my device and I didn’t need to connect to the net at all? I don’t have a lot of data, nor do I have access when I cross the border, so the original version was great at covering both my issues. Thanks.

Junk. I paid for the traffic and phone pairing with the app. Will not connect have gone through the pairing process, reset Tomtom, deleted and reinstalled the app restarted my phone all done several times still doesn’t work. Other reviews say the same thing. Worked when I first purchased but has not worked in over 2 years. Please fix the app! I have purchased other Tomtom products but if the app is not corrected this will be my last.

Serious problem with app. Brand new iPhone SE 2020, cannot connect to unit. Tried solution you posted here, still not working. On the device it flashes “connected” “disconnected” back and forth. Tried deleting app, forgetting Bluetooth connection, rebooting iPhone and factory reset of unit. Suggest maybe hiring qualified programmers. Too bad, love the unit, but cannot use MyTrips it get traffic to synch on unit.

Latest IOS update. Seems the latest iOS update is unable to connect to the GPS... is this something you plan on looking into with another update? I’ve done everything suggested from TomTom discussions. No luck

Don’t use this app. This is the Worst app I’ve ever had period. Had a great Tom Tom app I used for years but Tom Tom no longer supports it so I tried this and paid for it. It has no voice, gets me lost, takes you on roads that are partially paved for no reason other than the app can’t do what it should.

No good. App never adapts to iOS updates. Only fully functional with androids. iPhone users you’re better off using your phone as a personal hotspot because I doubt TomTom developers will ever fix this problem.

New update has bugs. The new update on this app has too many bugs, the fonts are the the same color as the background and you are unable to see what you are typing. Also some of the screens are black when putting in a location to send to your gps.

What the heck.... Customer service is seriously lacking as well as the functionality of the app. Hardly exists at all. Constantly feeling and needing to be restarted but even that does nothing.

Signing in to the app to get the live traffic is a pain. Please fix your app.. This app requires a sign in almost every day to get the traffic It’s very unsafe once you start driving. I have contacted TomTom support 5 times. Each time they tell me to delete the app and reinstall. So frustrating.

Crap product. Just bought the tomtom trucker 600, because I drive semi and need to know where I am going!!!! Unfortunately this is not the product for that apparently. For whatever reason it won’t connect to my drive and has put me through intense aggravation will never buy another tomtom product!!

Simply does not work. Used to work. One of the updates broke the app. Been trying to fix on and off for a year, nothing the developer says will fix the issue, no connection from iPhone to devixe via Bluetooth. Have since changed to Waze and just tried Tom Tom again today and still does not work. Another great product is no more.

What is this supposed to do?. You can already plan your route using the Tom Tom Tom Go app. If it’s supposed to sync routes with the Go App, it doesn’t. It keeps giving me an error message that something went wrong.

Unable to connect to MyDrive. My iPhone XS has not been able to share a data connection through Bluetooth for months now. Bluetooth connection is successful but mydrive wont sync and no live traffic data. This makes my GO 60 useless. Thanks TomTom

Worthless (as of July 2020). Luckily the web browser version works. The app will not show any of my routes. There are several bugs and dead end links in the app. I can’t even give feedback or suggestions from within the app. Terrible.

Bluetooth Connectivity. Working on my second TomTom device. Liked it for the real time traffic. Unfortunately it has been a nightmare getting the device to pair with my iPhone. Instructions are easy enough to follow but it’s a hit or miss with connecting. On the off chance it does connect, it disconnects when i place it in the vehicle. FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!

It doesn’t have a reliable live traffic data. You cant trust its live traffic data, the app tells you 30min and where it takes you hour and half to get there.

Connection issues. After 3 years of using my go60 having very little issues connecting to my iPhone 6+s I recently upgraded to the iPhone 11 and now I can’t get my traffic update while using the maps

Useless.. This app is 100% useless. Tomtom says connected, iPad says connected. But every time try to use the app I get connection error. Tried 50 times, same thing. Do not waste time with this app. Why do you assume everyone is in USA ?. I am NOT in USA and cannot use the number you supplied. Not even close to my time zone in SE Asia. Hopeless.

Frustrating Performance. This app works very intermittently. Frustrating how it loses connection with my TomTom 620. Traffic is on then off on a whim. When the app is working it works just fine, just with it was more reliable. Maybe they need some skilled software programmers.

App broken after Apple iPhone update. Connection before iPhone update 4 days ago was working perfectly. Flawless performance of TomTom GPS Device with iPhone syncing. TomTom now will not respond to sync instructions from phone. Tried every known fix so it has to be Apple system update.

Poor connections. Traveling the app won’t connect to the device even though it shows connected. Deleted the app and Bluetooth connections to reset several times. WONT send routes to device.

Planned Obsolescence?. Not compatible on iOS 16+ ! Bluetooth pairing appears to complete but devices cannot communicate. Connection drops out. Tried with three different devices running iOS 16. - Issue repeats with all devices.

Horrible mapping. If you haul rural areas don’t buy this expensive tomtom. Get a gps with google maps. Ridiculous amount of money for extremely poor mapping. Use my google maps because tomtom doesn’t recognize the roads. No satellite view for finding locations.

Not working. This app is not working with iOS 11.2.5. Device connect to iPhone but doesn’t allow network connection and app doesn’t recognize device. Got similar issue with app from competitor and they fix with an update. TomTom please fix it, my wife phone is not running 11.2.5 yet and device and app work fine.

Absolute garbage.. An otherwise nice gps unit, ruined by this useless, poorly designed app, which refuses to connect for traffic. On the rare occasion it does Bluetooth pair properly with my iPhone, the app invariably crashes soon after, taking the traffic updates with it. I may have just as well burned the $250 I spent on this unit. Disgraceful.

Won’t pair w my phone. The Tomtom won’t pair with my device. My phone says it’s connected but then makes me forget it cause the Tomtom it’s self wont connect and says not compatible. This is on an iPhone 8. Second iPhone 8 I have had and having the same issue!

Can not connect to MyDrive. The Go 50 will connect to BT, but not MyDrive. The complaints about this go back for a very long time. TomTom has had plenty of time to fix this. Customer service is pointless at this point. Fix your app. If your trying to use this as a method to get people to buy a new GPS, it’s working; but it won’t be a TomTom.

Terrible experience with a TomTom 620 in 2021. Updating again. App still won’t do traffic over Bluetooth w/IOS 14.x on a new iPhone. Started w/IOS 13. Hotspot doesn’t work well, device clearly doesn’t restart network conn. after going to sleep. Terrible product, doesn’t provide promised features.

Disconnects. Very difficult to get a Bluetooth connection between the phone and the TomTom. The app hasn’t been updated in a year. Tech support always seems to blame the issues on many different versions of iOS.

13.1.2 no longer working. Can not connect using Bluetooth any longer. Running iPhone 7plus and a Go 600. Traffic and my drive no longer work or connect. Tried resetting device, deleting app, restarting iPhone, reinstalling app (multiple times) and it still isn’t working.

Not thinking were we. Need to change the app so that you don’t have to constantly sign in when paired with gps. Not very safe to be having to do that while going down the road. Or maybe make it so it remembers like most sign ins

Can’t sync any more. It’s got to be this app. I can no longer sync traffic to my gps. I used to be able to but no matter what I try (reload app; reload software on my gps, and why should I spend hour trying this again and again???) so I use Google Map...

Update the app,. Update the app,fix it so it works with your device ,and then my drive won’t Keep conflicting with it .The device works until you turn on the sync with my drive .A fix could get better reviews, and sell a lot more devices !!!

Garbage App!. ON THE DAILY this app has Bluetooth connection issues with the 520! It’s almost guaranteed when you get in your car you WILL NOT have traffic data! You can figure out the steps to fix it, but you’ll waist 5-20 minutes & there’s no guarantee it’ll work. FIX YOUR S$&T!!

App crashes. Seems iOS 13 killed this app. It crashes every time I launch it and try to sign in now. I can’t even manage to re-pair it with my GPS or anything. Deleting and reinstalling doesn’t help either.

Not working. I cannot get real time traffic working. I reset to factory default settings, reloaded the app, connected to WiFi, connected to Bluetooth but get a message saying that the device is not close enough although they are next to each other. I have been a TomTom user for year but I am now ready to send my GO 620 to the recycling center.

Frustrating. The app doesn’t connect to my devices. I go to my iPhone settings and see 2 Bluetooth connections for both of my devices, but only one connection will connect. I go to the app on my phone and it says that it isn’t connected. I can’t get the messages or phone calls to work.

Mydrive app for traffic. Is the last thing i get. The app and the unit(Go60s) does nothing described as far as connecting to the iphone for traffic. What you get is two devices running a map. This app is useless as i have the gps unit. Majorly disappointed and is prime example of why i don't buy additional services.

Could not connect to rider 550. Always says there is a problem without any reason. Even though the device is connected to my phone.

Location data is OLD. Location data is over 5 years old. The place where I work is showing the name from 2016 and we are in late 2021. The name changed in January of 2017.

Useless. Absolutely the worst App on the AppStore. Exceptionally unreliable. Frequently won’t connect with the GPS. Requires frequent reinstallation. Will likely cause accidents as you wrestle with this. Bluetooth often says it is connected at both ends, but MyDrive says it is not connected because the device is too far away (2 feet). Huge let down. Makes me want to switch to Garmin.

Pairing issues with Go 600. No problems with my Go 620 but issues with my Go 600. Tried all recommendations from TomTom with no resolution. I do get a popup after pairing attempts although the 600 says it is paired (and sometimes shows paired on the iPhone) the iphone (6S iOS 12.4.1) says that TomTon Go 600 is not supported. Used to work just fine on the Go 600.

Stopped working. This app worked ok, except for having to use 2 apps. THEN the apps stopped syncing. 😡 I also couldn’t find a way to reach out to an actual person. I want my money back, we depended on this app for pulling our RV.

Developer must have died. By far this is the worst app I have,constantly having BT connection issues, love the Supreme 6 but will probably return because of this app and total lack of support. Really sad to have to switch to Garmin at least they still support there GPS and app. Simple question: Why is this company (TomTom) so LAZY?

Does not work. TomTom 1535M is successfully paired via Bluetooth to iPad. TomTom device shows successful connection, iPad shows successful connection. Start this app, get “Connection Error”, “Please try again.” Try again and just get message again. TomTom live services don’t work. Useless, broken app. Useless, broken live services.
