#curiousapp. Very fun! Easy to navigate, & understand. I read 'curios' while I'm laying n bed, & listen 2 them while I do routine things(making coffee, walking the dog, etc.). Perfect 4 any1 who has found themselves n a learning rut! #learnsomethingneweveryday Definitely recommend Curious!! 👍👍

Bait & Switch. If you are going to charge for your service, then you need to tell people up front. If I would have known that there was a fee for your services I would have never downloaded the app, nor filled out the questions. To the makers/developers of this app. I here by resend any and all permissions to my personal data & information that was provided, as a breach of contract. Love this app!. I really like this app! It limits how many items you can do each day without have my to pay but 8 stars is usually enough to do a few good things. I like a lot of the puzzles and the fact that I come across learning things I normally wouldn’t have looked for myself.

A little bit of wisdom. I have the free version and find it works well for the about of time I have to spend on it. It's based on your input and has enough options to keep you interested. If you enjoy learning something new everyday, this is for you.

Best app ever!. I really love this app! In the short time I’ve had it I feel like I have grown so much! My curiosity is back and I’m really learning again. As a 40 year old SAHM Mom (with a PT business), I’ve tried many apps to give me the intellectual simulation that I really miss from my former career, but I’ve found most of them lead back to politics/negativity/pop culture that is making my IQ decrease by the second. Haha It is great to see and be exposed to so many topics of interest in short amounts of time because that is all you have to spare when small kids are involved.

Don’t sign up for a not-free 7 day trial. I wanted to try it to see if I liked it so I signed up for the “free 7 day trial” and was charged $70 immediately. What the hell kind of free trial is THAT?! Applied for a refund through Apple so I’ll see how THIS goes. Why are there so many reviews like this? It’s a cool app and I’ve used it up to the 8credits every day for a long time. Thought I’d check out what the full subscription offered me. Now I’m pretty upset. I don’t have that $70 I can spare until next week when the app would renew. Terribly misleading to say the least. *update* I WAS charged and I contacted Apple. They immediately (it showed as a refund the next business day) refunded me the full amount. Whatever issue Curious has with Apple on this matter really should be rectified because it’s not just me that it happened to and now this issue overshadows any review for the actual app content and that’s a shame. So besides THAT crappy glitch I enjoyed Curious. Sure, some people could find all the individual offerings of this app in other places perhaps but, will they? It IS a cool app with interesting diverse content based on your interests. Like a compiled news app, it’s nice to have what I didn’t know I was looking for yet presented to me in this format.

This app offers so much!. I have been using Curious for several years. I have puzzles I use absolutely every day. Now my daughter also plays the puzzles. In addition, Curious offers so much in courses to learn. I find myself learning about all kinds of things in addition to what I initially thought I might be interested in. I gave Curious this rating because I have used the program without problem for so long, and have been able to satisfy myself that I have grown in ways that help my brain functions by participating in courses and puzzles.

Never wanted the app in the first place. My girlfriend downloaded the game for the free trial and didn’t quit or tell me about the 70 dollar charge that was on the way. Okay I got screwed and paid the 70. I didn’t log in once to play all year and couldn’t find a way to quit it so now you guys are charging my card another year and I don’t have 70 on the card so I can’t update any apps until this issue is taken care of. I don’t want another year as I didn’t want the first year. You have emailed me for three months to pay or risk chance of losing the service. Please cancel my service

Interesting bite sized lessons. Who knew that Boston had a massive molasses flood 100 or so years ago?!? I do now, thanks to Curious. :) As an insatiably curious (hehe) person with a short attention span, this app is perfect for me. I even read the articles which seem boring just going by the title. I still always come away with some small bit of information I hadn’t had before. Another particularly fun aspect to the app (for me, at least) is that most articles require that I pop over to a dictionary app, which always takes me down rabbit trails; the same is true with googling something especially interesting. This is one of the few apps not pre-loaded on my phone that I truly enjoy and use almost daily.

Great daily learning exercise. I’ve been using the free version for over a year. The articles are great and I really enjoy the KENKEN puzzles. Really keeps you curious to keep coming back daily, even if it’s for only 10-15 minutes. My only issue is the text on the articles. Curious uses a black background with white text, which is very uncomfortable on my eyes, and if I see it’s a longer article I’ll just pass because of that. Not sure if anybody else finds the white text on black background to be an issue.

Don’t get this. It defaults to a full year. I tried the initial trial and liked it. Once trial ended, I had to hunt down why $29 was taken from my bank account. I found out this app automatically defaults to the year plan but doesn’t let you know that your trial is up and that it is going to take your money. I’m so mad, I now tried to cancel. When I did I was informed I have to keep the subscription for the year. No refund! What a rip off!

Fun games, bad info. I paid for this app for a year because it seemed really exciting. The games are fun. But you can easily find the same games for free other places. The topical lessons are much poorer quality than many other sources like Lynda (free with library card) Udemy, Masterclass, and a dozen other professional lesson platforms. As for the articles and info, that content isn’t based on fact. Their content appears to be news-style reporting on real information. That’s actually really dangerous for those who use this app as a way to inform their world outlook. The data are irresponsibly used for the sake of sparking interest, the content is slanted with bias, and some of the information is just wrong. Opinions stated as fact are not great when they come from a source that people often view as an authority on information. Either review, regulate, and edit your content for accuracy, journalistic integrity, and bias filtering, or get out of the news/current events/info world and stick to puzzles and number games.

What do you want to learn?. I have discovered all sorts of topics through this app and have learned art history, music theory, presentation tips, home staging and more. The daily puzzles are fun and challenging. I go through periods where I don’t use the app every day, but the price is appropriate for my usage.

Great app. Thank you!!. After first using the app I immediately bought the year long subscription - which is really affordable considering how much content it includes. The content is curated so I’m not aimlessly wandering the internet. I am immensely grateful for Curious because it helps me start the day with some mental exercises and some interesting, inspired stories. I also enjoy the wide selection of topics. Thank you!!!

Panacea. The only problem with this app is you're only allowed to give it 5 stars. If you love info, self improvement, tutorials, then this app is for you. In addition to the amazing knowledge, it's extremely user friendly and offers intermittent questions on some formats to see if you're comprehending the video. In conclusion to underscore my opening statement, I would give this app 10 stars!

This app is great. I have the free version of this app and I think it is wonderful. The CQ Wheel keeps me learning in areas that I would otherwise ignore. The articles are short, sweet, very interesting, and usually lead me into further dabbling on that topic, which end up being wonderful little adventures. This app is a part of my daily life

Learn of the world. Like most of us I let life get in the way of learning. This so gets my mind awake and functioning back at the curious state that was mine when so much younger. The desire for knowledge and input is back. I now look at my days ready to see, learn and understand what and why things are around me and not just cruising the day away with a zombie brain.

Never stop learning!. I found Curious by mistake, but it is now a regular part of my day. What first got my attention was the chance to learn American Sign Language. I have always wanted to, but have been unable to fit formal classes into my schedule. Curious offers a chance to learn on my own time, and a year’s subscription for the whole site is much less than one course at a college! Now, I am always intrigued by the “curios” offered daily. And I *never* miss the Word of the Day from Merriam-Webster!

Quality content. Once you customize, you will be surprised at the quality of content waiting. I have looked online for some of these classes only to find they are paid subscriptions. The cost of this app is a bargain considering all the free content.

Horrible. This app is absolutely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with an IOS app. The app itself is sub par at best I’ve had a better experience with other apps that can triple the benefits that this app can deliver. Secondly the consumer support is absolutely terrible I’ve sent many emails to attempt and revoke a payment that they charged me for a “FREE TRIAL” they did not send an email asking if I wanted to continue but instead charged me 30$, and for that reason I am no longer able to download new apps, I can no longer update apps, and lastly I can no longer purchase songs or re-download any deleted content. Again do no download this app, there are better options out there.

Lots of subjects. I purchased that app a few days ago and from my point of view, curious seems to have a whole lot of topics in the subjects of my interest. Learning videos are entertaining and to the point. Not expensive for an encyclopedia, all things considered.

Don’t expect any help from customer service. I wish I could rate the two separately. I love the app, doing the puzzles daily is a challenge and a daily goal for me. But the customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. I can access unlimited puzzles with my subscription on my laptop. But my iPad usage is limited to 8 CQ points a day, basically 2 puzzles, which is the free trial level. No matter how I try logging on, it tells me on the one hand that I already have full membership, but refuses to allow me full access. And customer service has been of absolutely no help. All they keep replying is that either I have a different sign on name, or that I don’t have a subscription. Total crap from them.

Accidentally paid for a year... but I’m pretty ok with the mistake. So far it seems like a worthwhile investment. I’ve only just started to use it regularly after having it for a month and have just been figuring out its uses. The games are somewhat challenging. I enjoy the positive talks and find them inspiring while also showing me I could make my own. After two days I have learned how to sign the alphabet and that is something I have been talking about doing for 6 months. I will be diving deeper into this app while continuing to practice the features I have found already. I do find it expensive, but if you think about how ridiculously priced private college is this is a cheap way to learn skills that can pad your resume and make you stand out amongst other candidates.

DON’T DOWNLOAD. Save yourself the trouble of having to email and call to cancel your subscription! It starts off with asking for your name, email, and information about yourself to gather data and then oh so conveniently tells you that you need to basically pay for further service after a temporary and brief 7 day trial. It is completely deceiving! Please believe the other reviews when they say you have to agree to pay in order to use the app at a RIDICULOUS monthly or yearly subscription!!!

Fun but mostly inaccurate.. This app is fun. The cool little articles are interesting. The problem is very few of them are based on fact. They just go for sensationalism. It’s like going to the national inquirer for news. Most of their math problems have errors. The facts of their stories are certainly not checked. If there’s an internet meme they’ll publish it as fact. I saw one last week that talks about how wonderful woman is the oldest superhero comic besides Superman and Batman. Um, there are dozens superheroes older than that we still have around. Try captain America, the green lantern, all the avengers, aqua man, green arrow, all the fantastic 4 (though they weren’t a team yet, the list goes on too long for here. I see scientific “discoveries” that are decades old and disproven pretty much that long ago. They need to hire an actual editor for their stories before they go publishing random stuff. At least if they are claiming it’s non-fiction. I’m sorry if you are the “editor” of these things because they are full of misspellings, repeated paragraphs, missing parts of text, and general wrong information. The math is the worst. I’d say do t let your kids use this for learning math. Please. We need an informed generation to help out this ailing planet.

Fun Facts Fast. I really enjoy my daily visit to Curio. I don't complete every day's lesson sometimes because of other obligations sometimes because the lesson doesn't interest me so much. But, I always try my luck at the crossword and I do enjoy some of the "obscure" facts some day's lesson include.

Haven’t used the app. Didn’t know I would have to agree to pay for the app for a year just to try it for free. Get a 7 day trial and then you will be billed automatically which preys on people’s forgetfulness. Should be a different category for apps with a pay plan like this. Gave it two instead of one star because I couldn’t actually rate the app itself but this misleading tactic deserves a low rating in itself. Edit moved it to 3 because I was able to try the app in a very limited fashion a couple puzzles and was kind of enjoyable but gave a good idea of what the app was.

I Have Used Curious Everyday for a Number of Years. I love this site, and I use it to get my brain moving. While the factoids and lessons are interesting, I return to the site day after day for the puzzles. I am 70 and firmly believe it has helped slow down any cognitive decline.

Quantity and Quality Serious Lacking. I’ve used the app everyday for several years. I find it quite helpful for my memory, vocabulary and other things. However, this year, the app is generating less material in different categories. Sometimes, material is repeated. I know this because I never miss a day. Please fix/change this, if not, I must cancel my membership, as I am not getting what I pay for.

LOVE CURIOUS!!!. This app is absolutely wonderful!!! Not only is it the first one I've ever paid for, but this is also the first review I've left about anything. Ever. That should should That should tell you what a fangirl I have become in a little over a week. Do yourself a favor and get download Curious and start using it NOW!!!

Trickery. This is obviously a consumer information collection survey. They send you through all these questionnaires to, “set up the application “. It’s all very obvious that they are selling your information to companies that are going to market to you. You reach the end of the questions and just before the application starts they let you in on the fact that it’s going to charge you $30. I want my information expunged From your records, immediately and I want confirmation of you having done so at your earliest opportunity. Thank you.

4years, No Update!?!?. I’ve been paying for this app for years and there have been no updates in the last 4. All the videos are outdated. I meant to cancel this year, but got busy and it charged before I remembered. If they still haven’t had an update by the end of my subscription, canceling. This has so much potential for people like me who love to learn and learn about every facet of life. This is no longer helpful in satisfying my intrigue.

Great App and puzzles but don’t purchase unlimited subscription. It’s 3or 4 weeks since I purchased “Unlimited” and iOS/iPad Apps still have me limited to 8CQ points per day. I’ve emailed their support several times asking if there’s some way to reset the App (I’ve tried reloading/restore purchase etc. but nothing from them except “We’re dependent on Apple” I sent them my Apple Wallet receipt but no response

Variety, fun, interesting. I have truly enjoyed everything about this app. The games are challenging enough to keep me interested while not stumping me so often enough to take too long. The different these and interests are incredible. From job interview and relationship topics to art history and paint methods, the range of topics hits on each side of the brain.

Great, then okay, now terrible!. I’ve used this daily for years and the content has deteriorated and, now, the app will not load new days since last Monday, October 16, 2023. I have deleted, reloaded, checked for updates, confirmed my subscription with no effect. Worst of all, no response from the developer. My subscription is in effect until early 2024. So, beware. I will not subscribe again, but the money spent on the annual subscription is a sunk cost at this point. So very disappointed.

Start of my day. I begin each day with Curious, starting with the puzzles then the articles. I’m really good at the. Up & Down but my favorite Is Unilingo. Ken Ken is too simple and boring for me but I still do it and end with the crossword that usually takes about 45 minutes for me to finish.(I’m not real bright) The articles and videos are very enlightening and informative. After I used the free version for about 3 months I decided to buy the full version. I spend more than what I paid for the full version, on junk stuff that I don’t need. I have yet had a chance to use the learning videos but I know I will in time. Every day there is usually something interesting to share with my grandchildren that they may not learn in school. For me, Curious is a good entertainment investment and it gets two thumbs up.

Really Fun!. I really like it; a little expensive, but worth it. All the lessons are fun and I actually feel like I’m learning things and not just going through the motions. My only real complaint that you can go back and ‘make up’ days you miss. My job is very demanding and sometimes I work 13 hour shifts; it’s be nice if I could just go to a previous day and catch up on the lessons I missed.

Would be a 5 rating, but…. For some reason this week all the puzzle challenges have disappeared. When I click on “Challenges” at the bottom of the screen, I can see each of the challenges. So I click on Crosswords and nothing. Nada. Zilch. Why have they disappeared? I’ve emailed support twice. No response. Where is everyone? If the challenges don’t come back, I’m canceling my subscription. KA

Meh. I was so excited when I saw this app and what it offered. I like learning about everything and this app seemed perfect for me. However, I was sorely disappointed to find out I had to pay to get the full benefit of it and even more that the free version offers so little access. I’m still not decided if it’s worth the money to get info that I can easily find myself for free online. The free services should be expanded even if for a limited time so people can get a better feel for how great the app appears to be and actually be convinced to pay for more access, but the very limited info available in free version is just not convincing me to spend my money here. Too bad.

Seriously my favorite out of all time!. This is the first review I’ve ever written, and only because I love this app so very much. I work out of my car and use the time between clients to listen to learning modules. I love the puzzles which are usually challenging, especially KENKEN. I am learning all kinds of random facts from the Curios! Best investment ever on an app.

Best way to use your time!!. I really enjoy using this app. It has made me create a studying and reading habit, which is really helpful for my classes. The only thing I would reccommend that the developers put in the app is the option of using it in different languages; besides that it is a really great app.

I’ve learned so much.... Awesome awesome app.. This app is something else. I’ve leaned how to be a better artist, writer, listener, speaker, etc. it’s like have a fine tuned teacher of everything , and world paper or magazine all wrapped in one. I can’t always do it daily but I look forward to staying in touch with this app a couple times a week. I absolutely love it. Worth every dime I spent to have it.

Very good! 9/10 would buy!. Your app is very beautiful. To an avid and passionate high school learner such as myself, I already love this app. Sadly, you center around the rich learners of the world, but by doing that you leave out kids like me. With this app you have entire libraries of knowledge at your fingertips, but for a price I cannot pay. A price Many cannot pay. I realize 7.99 a month is cheap. So is 30 bucks a year. I fell in love, but the price is too much, for those who cannot pay. Thanks.

Religious discrimination!!!. I respect people who equally treat other people. As I searched through the app, I was surprised that there was so much information on evolution (which I disagree with, but that’s not the point) there was nothing about creationism, most of the lessons I browsed were presented from a perspective that is against Christianity and the teachings of the Bible (that most were proven right long before everything science ever thought), At least there are good things written about Islam, but about Christianity everything is messed up. So sad,

Buggy, but enjoyable. I’ve had several issues where the “workout” for the day does not show the current day and it will not allow you to click on the correct date. I have been using this app for a little over a month and I find it a useful addition to my morning routine.

What happened to the puzzles?. I have loved this app for years. Doing Today’s Puzzles - Unolingo, Ken Ken, Up Down Words etc has become a treasured part of my morning routine. Until I decided to upgrade! Since then the daily puzzles have completely disappeared from my app. I sent an email to support and still haven’t heard back. I am so sad that once I decided to pay for the app, my favorite part of it was abruptly discontinued or just missing from my version. I welcome an reply from those in the know.

Learn a bit in a short time!. When you have a few minutes to spend, this is a great way to spend them! You can learn a quick tidbit about one of your interests, easily digest it, and go on with your day. Or get more in-depth if you want and have the time. I highly recommend!

Merges 20 other wellness/fun apps. Seriously cool. No issues and smartly entices one to consume more healthy content vs mindless rubbish. People who are sick of the news about corruption and gross human behavior should definitely shift to this. Puzzles, real courses with so many topics I couldn’t believe, poetry, news, inspiring stories, humor, quizzes...so glad the founders were able to make this app.

A fun app. This app is so much fun. It covers topics I would never hear about on the news or mainstream media. I love getting to pick my interests and expand my knowledge of the world around me. I'm finally learning two languages. The news topics are interesting and current. Thanks Curious!

Accesibility issues on Ios 12. I just got this app, and I've already found a few bugs using VoiceOver. I have found at least three problems with the puzzles already (one of them being I'm not getting any feedback at all if I'm getting an answer correct or not), and I had a difficult time when exercises came up in a curio because there was no way for me to navigate to a textbox where I could type my answer. Actually, no textbox showed up at all for me to type an answer. These are some of the more prominent issues with this app. Please fix this so I can continue striving towards a better education. Thank you.

Misinformation. Now deleting this.. Signed up to take a look at this app as one of the teachers was suggesting there was a free seven day trial. Now that I've signed up to check out her classes - apparently there is no free trial. It's all payable. Less than amused. So this is one app that will be deleted.

Great way to learn new things!. Love the wide range of topics and short bursts of concise information.

Nice App. Helpful easy and educational

Educational. It is amazing App, It's not only even children can benefit from it as well.

Please add a favourites button/section!. This app would be brilliant IF you could save lessons/curios for later. The history section just isn't enough when you're an avid user. Add an area for review and refreshing and I'll tell everyone how great this is!

Okay…. It’s fine and all but how do I delete my account?

Cost. It has potential but to use it you have to subscribe to at least $14 a month subscription that will kick in after a 30 trail. I wasn't sold enough to invest my payment details incase it's hard to unsubscribe.

Easy as. Great way to learn

Sometimes useful. The app is pretty buggy, and the UI isn't very user friendly (comments are a pain to read as the app gives you only a tiny space to read), and enrolling in lessons is often to slow and clunky to be worth going through. It can be very useful though. I've learnt a few different things, and the daily facts are always interesting. It's an ok app, but needs a more improved UI

Useless, not free at all and takes personal details. Signed in using Facebook then it's revealed that this required a paid subscription. Now I'm reviving useless junk emails I never wanted

Learning at its best!. Hello to all other curious creatures out there in the universe. This is a sensational app experience that caters to your individual educational intrigue. You can learn at your own pace, at convenient times and is well structured with a variety of filtered subject matter based on subjects deemed of interest through a survey/interview process upon account registration. I highly applaud the methods of learning implemented and thoroughly enjoy my experience using this app. Great work and thumbs up to the creators. Kudos.

There is a world outside the U.S.A!. As another reviewer has stated, there are time zone issues. Currently, on my lunch break, I should be doing Monday’s work, but instead am rehashing yesterday’s. also, not really sure why the survey at the start asks how long can I commit each day: not one day has been close to my 5 minutes commitment, but always over. Kind of a big deal when it was a point of difference compared to other, similar apps. At the very least the developers must allow for users outside CONUS, or remove from other App Stores and refund subscriptions... If these points weren’t problems, I’d review 4/5.

This app is useless. There is a thing called YouTube. The interface is not easy to use what so ever plus the fact that you actually have to pay for most of it. Sorry developers of this app but it isn't good in my opinion

Not suitable for those outside the US Timezone. Great idea in concept however being in Australia means that ‘today’s workout’ is never available until ‘today’ starts in the US. You would think that some basic coding would allow the days content to be released on the current day regardless of Timezone.

Pointless. Don't bother. Have to pay subscription fee to get any use out of it.

Too Freemium. Good app for learning Too many restrictions in the free version. I can barely watch or read anything without it telling me to pay

Way to learn. Many times we want to learn something only to let it go because we don't have time or we can't get the right lessons. This app tries to solve that problem by providing you with short lessons which you can take anytime and anywhere. You learn easy things and complex things. I just love learning lots of new things from this app. Videos are available on YouTube as well but it doesn't have the curation of videos by topics/lessons/skills and this apps does that :)

Freemium subscription. I would be happy to try it for a month and then decide to subscribe, but the app forces you to choose a monthly or yearly subscription before giving you access. I'm not going to get tricked into forgetting to cancel a subscription service. Never tried the app, did waste time setting it up. A free trial shouldn't work this way.

Disappointing at best. Downloaded this "free" app, only to find that most of the content is only available via in-app purchase - most of which would be freely available via You Tube! A quick delete for me.

What am I paying for?. Good content but I used to be able to access all days past when I missed them but now I can’t access any past days??? So what have I paid for? Also the time difference is horrible if you’re not in USA

Great but needs tweaks. Interesting topics but I totally agree with other reviewers about the time zone and some content being American based. You cannot change the time zone to cater to where you live. Why not? If you want us to pay for this, you’ll need to improve.

Knowledge is power. I love it!!! I've been learning new things everyday. I'm always growing... This app is great.

Shonky. Be very careful with this app. It's just charged me a monthly fee when I tried to cancel my membership. I signed on for the free month trail but was not allowed to discontinue it.

Interesting site. I've expanded one of my interests so far. Looking for what else I can find.

Free trial only $40. Be very careful clicking the ‘free 1 week trial’, I was immediately charged $40 AUD even though I immediately cancelled the trial subscription straight away. Trying to get a refund from apple right now.

Amazing. I love this app I’ve learned so many things and improved in so many different genres If I’m interested in something I just have to go on curious !

Fabulous!. Absolutely live the puzzles and daily snippets of learning I get with this app!

Enjoyable. It is fun to browse all the interesting things you can learn about. I also enjoy the daily puzzles.

Very expensive. If you stumbled upon this like me and didn't read the full info, you may end up going through a lengthy setup process before it tells you just how pricey it is. Nearly $100 per year, more if you want to pay monthly. What a rip-off.

I'm enjoying Curious. Love this ap. At the end of the day I look forward to sitting down to figure out a puzzle or start my day listening to current news on today's issues. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to broaden their horizons. (Or just challenge their brains.)

Not free ... $100 per year. What a waste of time setting up the app only to be told at the very end that it's very a very expensive 'free app'

Amazing App. I've just started using this app but it did not take me long to realize the potential of it! From business information to learn how to play guitar, you've got everything covered in this marvellous app!

Love this App. I start every day with 'Curious'......Love it!!

Grow your Mind. Fantastic! Can't wait to see each day's email Grow your mind by learning about the world, instead of doing silly exercises.

Curious. I'm glad I happened to stumble upon it. It's the best work out program I've ever come across and I've learned so much so quickly in such a short period of time. I look forward to each day's exercises just to see what surprises are in store. And it's good for the brain and really makes you think as well as multiple choice answers. December 30,2016. Happy go lucky.☺️

All bark, no bite. I was looking forward to seeing something new and innovative but the app achieves nothing more than relocating inefficient learning modalities behind a paywall with some shiny packaging. Save your money and wait for something truly innovative that makes more and better use of modern technology and relevant research.

That's rude. There should be money back policy, if someone doesn't like it.

No way. Balahabalahabyall trah lifelong stupidity is u trashy outcomes no way

Way too dependent on audio and video. I want things I can read. I am hearing impaired. Almost everything is a video with Uncaptioned audio so this is mostly useless.

Life Lessons - What i think About Them. hmmm... how bout ¡¡holà, holà pepsi-cola™!! ¿¿qué pasà calabaza?? They are Stupendously GREAT! And more!

Great app!. I love the daily puzzles and random info offered on a daily basis. I find myself keen to check what’s new everyday and then spend my free time learning/exploring rather than random surfing on social media. My only suggestion would be to allow the user to arrange the order that the different categories appear so that my “must check” categories are at the top and my “would be nice to check” categories are towards the bottom.

Brain building app. Cool app to build your brain, keep it sharp or just acquire general culture you might be lacking. Just a few minutes a day will make a difference. I'll have my 15 year-old spend some time on it instead of video games to gain some knowledge of the world that surround us.

No subscription warnings on app launch.. As an app developer myself, I feel bad that after spending 15 minutes on setting up the preferences and areas of focus to find out that it's a subscription based service. It feels that the developer does not appreciate people's time. I can't trust a company like that.

Daily brain health. Love it. Part of my routine!

Look forward to this daily. Every morning I look forward to spending a few minutes with this eclectic mixture of things to learn or do.

Curious. Lots of fun. Highly recommend.

12$ per month!!!!! What???. They ask you a ton of questions and then you know after 10 minutes that it will cost you 12 bucks a month!!! Come on, be straight!!

Good Informative App. Lots to see and learn but being hearing impaired, I was left out of the majority of the site as there was no closed captioning Worth a look...

Great workout. This is much better than I thought it would be. Fascinating!

Really helpful.. I don't like being constantly reminded that I should be a lifelong learner via email, and I don't like the cute "rah rah" quips that I'm offered when I complete readings or view videos, but apart from that, Curious certainly makes finding the good stuff, that's out there, easier.

Curious. Love this app. Learning everyday something.

Frustrating. I can’t access the app any more and I don’t get an email to reset my password! What’s up?

Interesting. Great app. Lots more f topics to choose from and very informative!

App is not free!. This app seems more like a well laid out scam! You start by entering your personal info which "they could" use to sell to third parties! Once all the questions have been answered you a greeted by a pop up asking you to subscribe which is not cheap! If you close the window you get a basic plan with random links of videos and which you can easily find on YouTube. And everything you had entered earlier has very little to what options you have now. This app is fraudulent and needs to be removed!

Expensive. I'd love to try it but I'm not signing up for something that's $13 a month..

Cool learning! And a new daily habit.. So far, really good!

Love this app. This has introduced me to a wide range of inspiration from goal setting to world news to interesting tidbits. I tell everyone about the Curious app usually because something I just learned applied to the topic at hand. Bravo!

Worth every penny!!. Daily info and there are lessons on everything imaginable! I loved customizing my interests and it's been very high quality material. I joined a year ago and just renewed. Keeps me learning new things and stretching my brain regularly ! Love this app.

Necessary. I need this app every morning to kickstart the day. Without it I feel numb.

Makes learning fun, exciting, interesting.. Keeps me coming back for more. Great App!!!

Excellent. Really enjoy this. New puzzles every day!

They make you waste your time. They make you fill out a long questionnaire before announcing that you will have to pay to use the app. Don't waste your time.

You can't do much. With the free version you can't do much per day. On most apps the free version limits what you can do by you can't access it. This one it puts a CQ limit so you can do everything but not much per day. I wish it would be more than 8. I would get the paid subscription but my parents don't like me paying for apps, especially one that cost a lot. It would be great if you could make it so the free version has more CQ like maybe 20-25 would be good.

Great App!. I use it everyday. Love it.

Worth your time. Interesting!

You need to subscribe to try it. It's a "pay every month" subscription with a "7 days free" trying period. They tell you this and the price after you took the time to log in (with FB) or create an account AND fill à 5min questionnaire! I was anticipating a cost for that service, but I would have prefer to have this information before getting involved. I deleted the app because 1- I'm not happy with that 2- the 7 days period to try it is too short for what I expect to do with it 3- I find it too expensive to commit without knowing exactly what it has to offer.

Centres My Day. I adore my Curios app. It centres my day, everyday. A true workout for the mind and the soul. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ P.S. How would I go about submitting one of my own original poems for you to use in your ‘Poem Curio’ section ? Steele

Curious is great. Awesome app to keep your brain full of knowledge and interesting facts...gives you a positive boost to your day

Homeschool for grown ups!. Curious is a great way to expand your mind, browse and discover things you otherwise would not know about. There are short items and longer courses so it suits everyone's schedule.

Fantastic app!. I am a learner by nature and in my quest for learning I have tried dozens of programs. Mostly, after a short time, each program does not deliver and so i delete or shelf it. “Curious” has blown me away so far. Excellent quality free videos in a large array of subjects. Lessons are short, easy to understand and engaging. I wish high school, college and university classes were like this, if not in person. Pretty sure this app is now my absolute favourite. That said, I haven’t yet looked into mobile permissions for this app yet and I have yet to see ads and in game purchases. If all checks out…this will be the best app I’ve ever had in over 10 years,

Not Free !!!. It is only after you answering many questions that may or may not reveal personal details that you find you must commit to a paying for the game after a 'free' period. To play during that free period, you must sign into your account authorizing payment. If you are at all forgetful, or think deleting the app cancels any financial obligation, you might find yourself paying $99.

Fun learning, every day. I love all of the choices available each day, to take a few minutes to expand one horizon at a time!🤔🤓🌍

❤️. One of the apps I use the most.

My Favourite App. This is the most entertaining and informative app! The daily curios are usually super interesting, as are the art, photo, word and music curios. My favourite is the puzzle section though. I plan on doing some of the paid courses to support the app as I enjoy the other free content.

Doesn’t support Sign In with Apple. Cannot use the app unless registered with email address or Facebook. Hard pass.

Wonderful Source of information. So far I like this app. I have used it every day for a week and I am enjoying it. It is quite interesting. KG

Love it!. You get a free week, then if you don’t cancel, you get charged $30 for the year. What I get out of the app, however, is worth far beyond the $30.

Disappointed with latest update. Prior to the last update I was able to get the crossword puzzle on the first page. Now with a little work, I can find the old ones which I’ve already done but no new puzzles showing up 🙁

Educational and Informative. The daily blogs keeps me up on what is going on in the world. They are also educational and informative. There are many ways for exploring various subjects and skills .

Not worth it. Why pay for an indoctrination that’s available for free online? Daily email trivia questions and free online crosswords are better than the garbage spewed by the activists running this app. After 12 years as a prisoner in a public school brainwashing camp, enjoy the liberating feeling by spending time and money on anything else but this crap. Proof of a growth mindset is declining the temptation to be misguided for a fee

Misleading costs. The app, which has been featured on several sites, seems free. It’s not. There is a free trial period but when you download you actually authorize a subscription. In a couple weeks, you’ll get a prompt to login to your account (I get these all the time with software updates), and you’ll be charged $30. I felt this was shady and got a refund.

Very Good app. The app is very good it teaches you a lot. I am glad that the price is lowered. I like the option of questions in the videos. They are very organized. I also like the point system. Definitely a 5/5.

Rating Curious. This is a great app! You can choose from many interesting articles and learn many new topics. You can even do puzzles. I highly recommend it.

Factual, fun, educational, practical and love the poetry. Great investment. Articles are factual, interesting and educational. Even made my own cleaning solutions which work better than store bought. Enjoy the games too.

Learn unexpected and interesting facts. Whether you use The free app or subscribe you’ll get daily tidbits of interesting information. With subscription there is a wide range of information. I subscribe now. For years I use the free app and enjoyed it immensely.

Can’t find customer service contact - THOUGHT THIS WAS FREE. Can’t find customer service contact - THOUGHT THIS WAS FREE, but now am charged $30 for an app I’ve not used. I don’t even remember using the trial, but maybe I did. I’d like a refund - this seems shady, like a trick, as I never would’ve signed up for something that automatically signed me up after a trial period. I always only select the OPT-IN versions as all others seem like a scam. Including this. Really mad about this.

Price seems worth it.. Was a bit turned off by the price at first but I am enjoying my time with app. I have already learned a lot of new things. I enjoy the puzzles(wish there were more) and instructional videos.

USE A UNIQUE EMAIL!. You have to sign up for an annual subscription of $30/year, with 7 days to cancel, to even try the app. But -first-, before telling you that, it slowly asks you a series of questions to see what subjects to ask you about. And before -that- you need an email address. So, even if you opt out at the last moment (since you don’t know you’re signing up for that up front, you have to read the reviews), you still freely gave an email address and loads of personal interests, ready to sell to marketers to link with other uses of that email address.

Fantastic app, great value and opportunity. I love this app. I learn a variety of new things daily. Amazing resources. Wonderful commentary from the editors of the daily curios. Works the mind from so manny angles. My best purchase this year, including compared with material items.

Amazing App!. I like the concept of this app, it opens your brain to many things it defiantly broaden your knowledge. I would recommend people to download it.

Been here four years. I find it worth my time. I think I’ve met my daily goals over 200 times !

Language Bite Mandarin. I love love love this app! Every night right before I fall asleep I do a few languages bite mandarin lessons and I can say that I am almost fluent in causal conversations in mandarin. I’ve only been using the app for about 2weeks!

Great Brain Training. This app is a lot of fun. I’m on it most days and almost always do the daily crossword. There are a plethora of interesting tips, tricks, factoids and tidbits to choose from everyday.

Needs more transparency. I was interested in this App, filled out a lot of info, figuring I could try it out, but then tells me I will be charged $30 after 7 days. Based on the way it was presented, I have no faith that the cancellation process would be easy, so until I get some more info, I'm just aggravated that I wasted 10 minutes. Might be a good product, but the marketing is pretty sleazy.

NOT free to play and very deceptive!. App Store says “In app purchases “ but you have to agree to pay for it after 14 day’s before you can even play. Of course they don’t tell you this until after you give them your email and spend 15 minutes setting it up! Either have a trial version or make this a paid app. Don’t try to trick us and waste our time! No class.

What happened?. I’ve loved using this app daily to play the games. It’s been part of my morning ritual for years. The games disappeared a few days ago and after a couple of queries to their help team, no response. Hoping the games return soon.

Perfect way to avoid politics!. I end my day with challenges, learning minutes, wonderful snippets of knowledge. Never stop learning, never stop being curious!!

Something new every day. I look forward to learning something new every day. Even though I'm tired when I come home from work, reading my Curio for the day lifts my mood and helps me forget about the day. Love!

Wow. This is a great app if you want to increase your overall knowledge in specific subjects. I've learned so much and been able to apply this knowledge on regular basis. 10/10 would recommend!

I used to love this app …. I used this app every morning for years. It was awesome. Unfortunately the app hasn’t been updated in years and many features are now broken. The content generation seems to be on auto pilot and frequently only amounts to one or two items. I am sadly deleting this app.

I already feel smarter!. Stimulating, interesting, diverse and challenging, this app is already retraining me to be more curious. As a fifty-something, this app is allowing me to remain mentally nimble and is introducing more thought paths to my everyday.

Disappointed. Disappointed. Have been using this app for some time and just recently the games have disappeared. Although the lessons are good it is not worth using without the games. Contacted them a couple of times but got no response.

Hard To Say. My rating of 1 star may be unfair but I cannot say if I like the app or not. I started with a “free introductory” version. It seems you can’t even try the app without providing them with your (a) email address. I may love the app, wish I had started sooner but I am resistant to giving out my email just to try an app. Let me have one day, one “session” then require me “sign in/up” if I want to continue. Make this change and I’ll give it a try.

Good but needs a bit more work. Very good but could use a few improvements. The “Daily Crossword” doesn’t appear every day. No crossword November 4 for example. Crossword clues sometimes exceed one line but the app truncates it and appends ellipses rather than show the whole clue. Very annoying.

Not well labeled. I’m a little annoyed at the limited version. Not because it’s limited but it seems to lie. I did one task that said it would count for one of my 8 cqs but halfway through was told I had earned 11 cqs. Not well communicated. Hard to tell if I like the app but it has potential for sure

Missing games. I really enjoyed everything about this app and have subscribed for two years. But now the games have been removed and the app has been greatly reduced. I’m disappointed and am getting a lot less for my money.

Brings structure to my learning. This app helps guide me into areas of interest and study that I wouldn't otherwise dive into. Highly recommend it.

Perfect!!!!!. I love this!!! I also couldn’t use the daily puzzles or exercises . Everything else works well. Do you have any blind teachers? Are there any courses for the blind?

A fun app with lots of information. I use this app every morning for at least the crossword but there is so much more! Would recommend as there is such great variety.

Best things in life are free. I use the free version of this app, and I love it! Sometimes, I wish I could grab an extra few points to see something else, but it’s OK. There’s more “stuff” coming tomorrow. This is the best free app I have ever used!

Please fix latest update!. After a game, I can’t go back to the main screen (upper left arrow). I have to restart the app. In the App Store, “help” or “app support” just opens the app. iPhone 7 with latest iOS. Otherwise, I love this app! I can play a few games & learn some trivia, but not get sucked into spending too much time doing it.

In General, Great. Can we please just quit with the “You gained x CQ” banner? It makes it annoying to try to close whatever you’re in when you’re done with it. Or just move it over past the “back” button? Thanks!

Love this app!. I start my morning with a puzzle and the other challenges. This app keeps my mind exercised and I gain a lot of knowledge about what has been, what is and what will be going on in the world. I highly recommend it!

ME. This app is AWESOME I love all the Articles When you are on The Curiosity App there is Always something New or Reminders of the Past . I Highly Recommend Everyone At Lease once a Day to checkout this app . You Never Know What’s Next 🤔

Waste of my time.... They make you go through a big long survey asking what you'd like to learn about and then tell you it costs $30/month but they'll give you a free 7 day trial. Waste of my time answering all those questions... Should tell people up front that it costs so they can decide beforehand...

Where are the games???. I’m now on my third year of using Curious, and I play the games against my dad every day. Why are the games gone??? The articles are interesting (if not overly politically biased, which is annoying), but I’m mostly in it for the games. If those are gone, I will cancel pretty soon. Please bring them back ASAP! (I will change my review and star rating as soon as this is corrected!)

Worth your time!. This is for people who seek self-development and want to be better than they were yesterday.

Best app for knowledge seekers. More information at your fingertips than imaginable. If you have to waste time on a device, there is NO better way.

Great App. This is not your average app - it’s great to have a few minutes a day to learn something new or to challenge your brain. I think we need more of that in today’s world. It’s fun too!

Curious. This app is dedicated to you and your interests in learning. You choose your areas of learning and jump right in. You go at your own pace. It is an exhilarating and fun experience.

Credit card charged before trial period ended. My credit card was charged before my one week free trial ended. I had until 1/9/18 to cancel so that I would not be charged. At 11:35 pm on 1/8/18 I cancelled my subscription only to find that my credit card had been charged at 10:55 pm that same evening. Not sure how to go about canceling and getting my money back.

Invasive. I played a game that I have been playing for a while and it showed me a list of contacts who it said I should ask to join me. Not only will I not ask them, but I no longer want this app even though I used to love it. I just paid for a year and when I unsubscribed, it did not refund the unused part. I am getting it off my phone anyway. ☹️

If you’re ever bedridden? Get this app!. There are so many different ways to inform and delight and puzzle. I even bought the entire app. After using my 8 q everyday, I wanted more!

Excited to try it, and then.... I couldn't wait to give this app a shot. I wasted my time going through the interview and defining my interests, my excitement growing the closer I got to being able to trying it out. And then came the pop-up: FREE trial! And then the price afterwards, completely unreasonable for an app subscription. Too bad. I felt like this would have been a great app, I just am entirely unwilling to pay that much for it.

Great idea - Garbage UI and performance. Seems like the developers tried too hard to include everything in their MVP and released this while it didn't function smoothly. Hopefully future releases will look and performance better. For now the amount of content is nice but you can't enjoy using the app regardless.
