Advertisements on this free version are appallingly irritating - do not install. I do not recall this app being this bad when I first installed it but over time, it seems to have grown much worse. The developers not only permit ads on the free version but allow ads that totally hijack the application that one cannot close or can only close with difficulty. You spend more time trying to figure out how to close the ads than actually using the calculator. I therefore consider this free version to be a scam and I will not install their paid version with no ads for that reason. Had they provided a free lite version and a more functional paid version, I would have been ready to upgrade this app to a version without ads., had the advertising on the free version been less intrusive and more easily closeable. However, I do not like being bent over in this manner to get me to to pay up for an upgrade, even though the paid version is cheap enough. Either the developers are not monitoring the ads, unlikely, or are actively collaborating to make the advertising to be this annoying in order to sell their paid version I am surprised that Apple has even allowed the developers to get away with this and am considering a complaint to Apple about this! Would have given 0 stars had I had the ability to do so.

Tired of it.... It’s still a problem. As soon as I click the home button for the app a full screen ad for Solitaire takes over the screen, and rather than make the simple and quick division or multiplication I want, I have to wait with smoking ears for the ad to stop. I’m going back to the App Store and see what other calculators are available. A calculator should be part of the Apple apps included with an iPad or other hardware, rather than some of the other included ones that many of us never use. Update: As to the developer’s response to my complaint, certainly most of us realize that “free” apps wouldn’t be available if they couldn’t glean ad income. It’s common sense. The ads shouldn’t present themselves in a manner that can aggravate their potential customers, however. There’s no profit for anyone in that. Other apps put banner ads at the bottom of the screen where I can respond if one attracts me, yet it in no way stops my calculator endeavor like this app does. I’ve deleted it and installed another, less frustrating one.

Not worth the ads.... Just keep shopping because this app will drive you mad. Seriously, there are absolutely free calculators that don’t have ads in the store. I was willing to play along with the pop up ads for years until they became videos and took up the whole screen. Devs: please don’t respond with, “consider buying the app to avoid the ads,” because you just went too far. It is insulting to offer a worthless free version (that you are still making ad dollars off of) all in an effort to frustrate the user into purchasing your paid app. I just jumped ship to an actual free app and love it.

Calculator With Ads. LOTS of ads.. Yeah, it’s a calculator and has scientific modes and the ability to convert currencies. You have all kinds of nifty backgrounds to choose from. So that’s cool and I would give it a higher rating if I could just leave it at that. But it’s the ads. Yeah, I get it’s a free tool and you gotta pay your developers somehow. Why can’t there just be a perpetual banner at the top or at the bottom? I don’t have issue with the ads themselves, but I DO have issue with each ad taking up the entire screen. I happily use lots of free apps that have some sort of ad banner. But see, I can still *use* the app! Ya’ll are missing the point. I think it’s safe to say all the other users that have complained about the ads aren’t necessarily complaining that the ads exist. It’s how they’re presented and how it hinders the usability and, consequently, users’ satisfaction with the app.

Review. This calculator is amazing but I think it needs more in the trig and calculus side of math for the more advanced people I. The world[unlike 95% of the rest of the world if you know what mean]and in case you don't most people don't know what 1-6 is and when you give them a calculator they just spam random numbers and equations and in case you think I am one of those idiots I am 12 and know trig. Arcos 1=0 so haha people of the world who think thy are the new Einstein . Sincerely anonymous pseudonymous black.

Monetizing ruins it. I started with the free version of this app and thought it was a good humble app, then I paid for the pro version a while back and have it installed on several devices. Now they want me to pay again for a “new” pro version to get rid of the ads which have been added back in, and have pushed out a lot of monetizing crap (watch an advert to get a skin). I paid once, where is product loyalty to me?? Where is the restore purchases option? I would rather get another calculator app knowing it has ads, than be treated this way by some corp-rat hijacking a decent app.

ADS ADS ADS!!!!!!!!!. I know the creators who made this need money or something but TOO MUCH ADS!!!it has gotten to the point where this app is unusable I get an ad every five seconds it’s that bad and it can’t even do division it just comes up with a random number sometimes half of the time I solve the equations better than the calculator on this this is suppose to be a CALCULATOR it is supposed to be something you go to when you need to answer an equation not this one it spams you with monetization every five seconds another ad and another ad I spent 1 dollar on my gift card I got from my birthday but no the ads but it didn’t even go away just this is useless for heavily reliance on calculators just buy a real one this app is useless I’m deleting this app.

We love this app. My whole family uses this app so much so in the beginning that we went ahead and paid the small fee for the pro version. we use this app almost on a daily basis and wouldn’t dream of using another one thank you for such a basic and easy to use functioning app that is suitable for classwork when needed. A++

Been using a long time. I like the recent "refacing" of the screen .. since an app doesn't 'break' ...hopefully ...{:-)}... [ and I KNOW I am stretching the word 'break' around right there ] a 'facelift' like this is welcome every once in a while. It's not like the " olden" days ...when your Texas instrument style calculator "broke" and you chose a newer model .. there was a little something different about it -- and you could 'feel' in your hands that it was new...

Broken Ads and Condescending Developers. I was considering paying for the full version, but the developers’ responses to all of the (entirely correct) reviews here have convinced me otherwise. The reviews point out that, while everyone understands ads support free apps, the ads here make the app absolutely unusable. The developer’s response is solely and repetitively to say that the ads support the app because it’s free. “But we understand ads!” say the users. “These ads are a problem because they are ruining the app that they are supposedly supporting our free use of!” “Ads support the app that you’re lucky not to pay for,” sneer the developers who apparently lack reading comprehension as well as customer service skills. “If you want an app you can USE,” the developers mean, “pay us actual money. Otherwise we’ll take the disproportionately large per-use ad revenue you generate and YOU’LL take whatever you can get.” As for me, I am happy to pay for an ad-free app - someone else’s. To the developers: In case it’s not clear, the problem isn’t ads. It’s YOUR ads. And your attitude. If you respond to this review, do not tell me you’ll take my feedback into account for your future work. I don’t care, and also, you won’t.

Bad experience every time...read below before you download!. 🚨 I bought PREMIUM VERSION. There is NO difference as the ads are still crippling. Developers still give you the static response that it’s only “a minor inconvenience” and suggest upgrading. They have no other answer ✅ Layout is okay. Like the memory feature. 1. ⛔️Constant ad interruption. Wondering if it possible to finish one calculation without being interrupted. Not recommended to use when toggling between other apps either. Minimizing calculator has a similar result to opening app for first time...que new ad interruption... 2. ⛔️ FULL SCREEN ADS. Forced to constantly stop what you are doing and wait. Hopefully you didn’t just click on the ad accidentally as you just happened to be in the middle of a calculation when the full screen ad opened suddenly. 3. ⛔️ADS TOO LONG and often REQUIRE SOME FORM OF INTERACTION BEFORE BEING ABLE TO SKIP. After 5 seconds you can skip, but you have to press the skip button AND then x button to close? 😡 When you want a quick calculation but the percentage of time having to watch ads is significantly GREATER than the time spent actually calculating one number set, you’ve got a problem. 4. ⛔️ Ads come in sets, 8-15 seconds apart. 5. ⛔️ PRO VERSION IS NOT AD FREE. 6. ⛔️ Super slow. I want a calculator. I don’t care if it has skins.

Too many ads now!. I like the app, and have had it for awhile now. But suddenly there are so many ads! Way too many. You're always having to wait for an ad before you can do anything. I'm tempted to give it only one or two stars because of all the ads! I know ads are how they make money, but really? They've suddenly gone way overboard. I settled for three stars simply because the calculator is a good one. But, frankly, I'm tempted to go looking for a different app to replace this one, so I can delete it, because of all the ads.

Wow. Pretty much unusable because of ads.. Holy cow, I don’t think I have ever seen an app that throws up so many ads. I would say it’s a ridiculous amount of ads, but this is so far past ridiculous that you can’t even see the ridiculous point that you passed far behind you. I hope this company rethinks how they are going about making income. Full page ad popups right in the middle of a calculation? That doesn’t say “We care about our customers”. I would buy the no-ad version of the app from them, but not after the experience with the horrendous ad supported version. It’s too bad. I wish Apple would just allow the iPhone calculator app to be used on the iPad. Suggestion for this company: give your customers a good experience with the ad supported version so they want to buy the non-ad supported version. But I suspect you make far more money on the ad supported version since it relentlessly hits you with ads...forever. And get rid of the full page ads. They really aren’t appropriate for a simple calculator app.

Ad locked in. And now the hijack is complete. Unity Ads pops up, takes over screen and no way to proceed without answering their question. I refuse. Needs be a way to close screen. Used to be a great app. Having ads for “free to use” is not a problem until so pervasive the app isn’t useable. It does guarantee I will NEVER buy the product - NEVER To have a persistent, non dismissible ad even worse. I don’t buy games. My age is totally NOT relevant to my using a calculator and I will NEVER answer, just close the app andgrab my iphone. Sorry but this is not justifiable, just totally annoying. Thanks for ruining a formerly great app. Zero stars if I could. But thank you for your canned response. I was hoping maybe you didn’t know someone was ruining your app, apparently you don’t care as long as making money. Update: response from developer makes it very clear, as long as it is free they can inflict any amount of annoyance - SAD. Makes me want want to trust the paid app.

POP UP. Hello? What genius believes we would purchase merchandise, by having my use, of a “ really convenient calculator”, immediately blocked not once, but constantly, and interrupting important work we are doing, with a pop up that covers the screen! I for one do not gamble! I do not nor have I played video games, since PAC MAN! I grew up! 99%, of these pop ups are nothing I need? Lastly: repetition is extremely annoying, and I will likely never purchase something I am shown more often than once, in say a week! I hope this helps! I realize you are not happy. I understand it is free, and I can look elsewhere! I am not sure why the above statement now, in quote, is anything less than a genuine appraisal! My advice is as follows. I am questioning why any, of your advertisers, would not see how my complaint is legitimate. What makes you think blocking my screen is a reasonable manner, to attract, additional business? Why not focus your algorithm, in the background, to collect information showing how fast your users opt out! I doubt your clients are aware the ads are not being well received. Unusable Due to Ads. When I first downloaded this app in 2017 I believe, it wasn’t so ad crazy. Now, you can barely do one calculation without it ads popping up. Not only does it have full page ads that stop you from using the app, but they have sounds that accompany them. It’s definitely unusable if you’re trying to use it in a class or work type setting. I understand that they have a paid version of this app, and that’s fine. However, they should get rid of the free version because it’s impossible to use.

Calculations the worst. Every time I open the app and start entering my figures I have to wait for the ad to finish. When I enter whole numbers it won’t calculate until I either enter the .00 or tap the = sign twice. I have considered getting the full version but I don’t know if it will have the calculations of whole numbers or if I will have the same problem. I use the free version on both of my iPads and it is the same problem on both. I need to know if it’s worth paying for the full version if the free version doesn’t calculate correctly.

Just deleted it :(. After using this app for years, I just deleted it because of all the ads. This was one of the first apps I downloaded when I first got my iPad, years ago (why a basic calculator is not included with iOS, I'll never know...). The app was fine: a basic calculator, no fuss, no muss. I only use it maybe twice a month. But, about 8-12 months ago, they added an ad program. Not small ads, but big, full screen pop-up ads, and constant pop-ups telling me to upgrade. In a calculator app. That is just ridiculous. So, I'm over it. Found another free app in minutes. It has ads, but they are tiny and easily ignored. See ya.

Find another option. I had this app installed for all of five minutes. The constantly rotating ads in a bright banner against a dark background were the most distracting and user-experience unfriendly thing I have seen in a long time. I don't know who designed this app but they could not have made it clearer that they were more interested in monetizing the service than they were in making it usable, because as far as I was concerned they might as well have been screaming in my ear the whole time I used it. Avoid; there are better apps out there.

I use this apps for most of my calculations and it truly has been and awesome app and I will continue to use it for a very long time to come and my whole family use this app and they are very satisfied also. If they had more star I would choose every one of them. This app In my opinion is one of the very best app that I have and I hope they continue to be top rate. They truly have put together one of the very best . I give the folks that put this app together a 100% as the best of the best!!!!!!!!

Ads and more ads. I installed this app years ago and recently it’s become utterly infested with ads. I opened it to do some quick math. Before I could use it I had to sit through a 30 second unskippable ad. I then entered 4 of the numbers and was prompted with another full screen ad before even 60 seconds passed. How is this usable? I understand ad revenue as a means to pay for things, but this is ads to the point that it’s an Ad application with an included calculator. I’m honestly considering reporting this to Apple as an abuse of their in-app ad system.

The Ads have rendered this useless. This used to be a good app, however the addition of random full screen ads in addition to a permanent banner on the bottom has made this app useless. More than once I have lost work I was doing when the app just flipped into a full screen ad for some random app and the only way to exit is a tiny x that is hidden in the background in the top right. Additionally, the banner at the bottom has been sped up so that is distracting and an irritant, As in it is a trigger for headaches if I use the app to long.

Way too many ads. Way too many adds that it keeps interrupting. So annoying that I had to delete the app. =update= To Apalon Apps, to reply to your response... I understand that you work hard to create something and you should get paid for it if a consumer believes your product deserves to be purchased. But also there are other calculator apps that are free and work just as well as your app does with a lot less ads. As a consumer, I naturally got one of those apps after deleting yours. I’m ok with getting ads because I’m trading it for not paying money. But as for your app, the amount of ads that I got (more like was bombarded) was unbelievable, so that made me want to write a review. That is all.

Recent changes in the advertisements make the app unusable. I had been using this app for a while now, and you expect a free app to have advertisements. It is a fair trade for a simple app to have a few ads. They were there and slightly annoying, but now recent changes in the app have made it so the ads actively interfere with getting work done. Pop-ups came first. Now even being forced to watch videos interrupting simple calculations, and the ads pop up while you are typing, which frequently creates unintended click-through. Unworkable and slimy. So you lose my ad revenue completely for being greedy. Already deleted and moved on.

Disclosure shows user data collection and tracking by Russian company. Used it for years, despite of the companies flooding you with ads even after you paid for the ad-free pro version. But now with apples new detailed disclosure of the apps user data collection, tracking and information sales practices, I was surprised to see the amount of user data collected by this company (in Minsk, Belarus) and that it is sold and shared freely with 3rd parties. No functioning opt out, I tried. Their privacy policies state that they ignore ‘no tracking’ requests. Considering the flood of hacking and ransom attacks originating from that country, I will delete the app and look for one that has more solid privacy protection.

Annoying Full Page Ads. Just deleted this app after using it for some time. When I first got the app a couple years ago, the small ribbon ads at the bottom of the screen were intrusive but did not compromise functionality. Now the app pops up full screen ads in Safari for sketchy offers in exchange for personal information. Even after going back to the calculator screen it continues to pop up new Safari screens. It looks like you have to wait until something times out in the calculator app before you can use it without new pop-ups. This app has now timed out with my patience!

Really? Prod Manager, think first!. I understand the need to make money on apps. I had one of the first 1000 apps back in the day. I have also been a software executive for large and start-up companies. Net, I understand the trade offs. But, to setup an ad delivery methodology that interferes with the basic workflow of your app is not only misdirected but bad business in the medium to long term. This was a GREAT app once upon a time. Then the ads started. At first they were non obtrusive. The they got a little more annoying. Now, they disrupt the basic workflow. Example: there is an ad at bottom of the app upon enter. Ok, non intrusive. Pays the bills. But, over time it got worse. Now if I want to add two numbers. It goes like this... tap 2, tap +, wait for full screen ad with audio to run, tap 2, tap = ... result 4. The app is now useless, embarrassing and promotes errors when running multi step computations. Net, it is now a deleted app. Look, I don’t mind paying with ads or a one time purchase fee if the functionality is there. But, because of your decisions, you have not only lost my eyeballs on your ads, and\or one time fee, but you have lost my trust. Now, I will go out of my way to avoid your apps...free or otherwise. I am shocked senior management or you investors condone this reckless approach to product management. Remember my millennial friends, the world is littered with 100’s of former #1 brands that no longer exist.

Uninstalled in under a minute of using it. Look, devs deserve some compensation for their work, so I don’t mind paying a few dollars for apps I need. But if the free version forces full screen ads, auto switches apps to open safari to open an ad in there, making it nearly impossible for me to use it for calculations, I’m not even going to consider buying the paid version. I would have happily paid for the full version if there was simply an unobtrusive ad on the calculator itself, but this app is more ad than it is calculator. I’m not a fan of devs basically annoying you into paying money to get rid of said annoyance. I don’t even know if the app was good or not, the ads literally prevented me from using it.

Just keep adding. Do you want a calculator that never completes a function? What’s 12 x 347? Get your answer? What’s 132% of 48? Did you remember to swipe left on the clear button like a real calculator? If not, this app just adds the next numbers you wish to calculate to the previous ones, which is annoying and terrible. The calculator on a windows computer is more intuitive. Deleted from iPad. Developer response to my review indicates they have never used a calculator before. Do not trust. 2+3 might equal 21😔. It’s all there in my original review: make a calculator that behaves like a real calculator or get off the App Store. Hey hey: this calculator and the App Store: two things that are wastes of time!

All The Beauty & Function You’ll Ever Need. I have acquired dozens of calculators over the years, some specializing in 1 specific type of calculation; however my work horse calculator is the pro version of this calculator. It is simple and straightforward features and functions, and allows customization & personalization to make the experience of using the app truly unique, and enjoyable. Short of having the app resolving your equations for you, without any user input, what more could you ask for? I Enthusiastically recommend this app for anyone who has regular daily need of a full function Simple/Scientific Calculator, and owns an iPad.

You took away everything that used. You took away everything that made this app great all the different conversions I used them and now I’m going to have to look for another stupid app unless you add them back. I went to add this to my new iPad 11 pro and everything I loved about it was gone So unless you add all the different conversations back I’m going to do a way with this app because my phone has a calculator Why in the world would you downgrade your calculator app I used to use it when I was measuring weight for food and Fahrenheit to Celsius and different measurements you really disappointed me 😡

What’s wrong. A very good app with a Great support from the company. I had a problem after an update and they helped to get it fixed. Can’t go wrong. I highly recommend this app because it’s so easy to use. Even us old folk with no tech skills can use this and if we have problems, contact support. They are there to help.....

Scam. Shoves ads in your face full page ones right when your typing in your numbers then it messes up your calculations or you have too start over.. devs don’t care the review S are all bought look at the negative ones there the truth and it will shove ads in your face after your done too let’s get this off the App Store she,e in you devs oh and the updates are. Lie it’s just to update the sponsors aka new ads. Let’s flag this get this off the store I’ve had enough sure small ads at the bottom not when I’m doing ,y bank numbers and you blatantly mess that up

Don’t bother to download. This formerly was a great calculator. Way back when I first got it, I got the “Pro” version because it “supposedly” was free of ads. Then little ads along the bottom started creeping in. I was still OK with it, but now, every time you go to use it, a FULL PAGE ad covers the whole calculator and you have to wait for the little video to play before the “X” appears allowing you to close the add. Totally frustrating! I’m deleting it and looking for a different calculator app. I’m not paying them AGAIN for a supposedly ad-free app, because that is what I did the first time I downloaded this app!

No Longer Usable. I have used this app for years, and it was one of the first apps I downloaded after getting my first iPad long ago (why Apple iPhones have a native built in Calculator App but the iPad does not makes no sense to me, and I Love all things Apple). The ads before were annoying but the app was still usable. However now there are full screen ads that you cannot immediately exit to use calculator, which is beyond infuriating. I understand when that happens if I choose to watch a video ad while playing a game app in exchange for an in game reward, but being forced to watch a full screen ad video which prevents me from doing some math on the calculator when I need a quick answer is so annoying I immediately looked for an option to upgrade to remove ads (which actually doesn't upgrade THIS app it downloads the paid version [different app, different app icon, same developer]), then I deleted this "free" version. Just do yourself a favor and buy the paid version (which I really like and I paid $0.99 for USD) and don't bother with this "free" version which is no longer useful when you need the calculator to work at that moment.

Works for me. I live with a mathematician and his graduate student recommended this app. Now I don't use it for high level stuff, it's clearly been designed to do that kind of calculations. But it's great for calculating conversions between temperature systems and such. I use it to calculate the weights of things in the kitchen, anytime I need to make aspect ratio calculations and for figuring out complex bills. It does great. I've used it for years and never experienced a bug. Recommended.

ADS!. It is a great calculator and goes beyond expectations but there is one problem, ads. You can’t do anything without an ad here or there. I tried to do 3 problems, that were 1 step, and I have 2 ads. While they are short, most last 5-10 seconds. Another problem about the ads is that EVERY time I log into the app, I have to watch and add. Like I mentioned earlier, you get adds doing simple problems a lot. Sometimes I would get an add in the middle of doing a problem. Great calculator, terrible app.

Remember when you could use a calculator to calculate?. I have used this app for quite some time. It was great! Need to do some quick math, load the calulator app. Now it is an ad fest. Ads pop up WHILE YOU ARE ENTERING NUMBERS! And then you can not close them. You get to play “find the close button” when the add finally finishes. I understand the desire for revenue. However, you have allowed your app to become unuseable. You told another reviewer that users have a choice. They can pay to use your calculator or accept the adds. You neglected their 3rd option. Delete this app and use a different free one that lets you do simple math. I think I will go with the 3rd option. Shame though, it used to be great. Thanks for the generic scripted response. As I said, the ads make the app unusable and the solution of “then pay for the ad-free version” would be great except the way you implemented the ads has completely turned me off of your app. There are FAR better calculators out there.

Great calculator app!!. This is one of the fews apps that still let you remove ads permanently for just $0.99. Some apps are charging you $5 a month indefinitely which is insane and a money grab that I will never pay. I would like some more calculator themes and functionality though as additional one time add on. However, hands down the best iPad calculator app as long as you pay to remove ads one time.

WORST UPDATE EVER. I, like many who paid for ad-free, have used and loved this calculator (scientific, especially) for years. However, like others here have mentioned, since the last update the scientific functions are no longer even viewable and the "base" calculator is BEYOND distorted. Perhaps you forgot to test on all but the very latest version of iOS? At any rate, it is utter garbage on iPad Pro (LANDSCAPE) running the last version of iOS 12 prior to 13 (many of us are NOT keen to jump on iOS 13 as we've heard it has many, many issues). I have NO other apps, paid or not, with this type of issue. FIX, AND TEST YOUR UPDATES IN THE FUTURE! Adding new features at the expense of stability is not smart.

Ads hijack RAM, useless for professionals. I work in homes of clients doing construction and general contracting as well as on industrial job sites bidding big $$ jobs. I installed this calculator on my new iPad mini because I needed something on it to do little bids on this machine when I’m not using my iPad Air. Wow... it is garbage. Locks up after every keystroke because it’s trying to connect to its ad server, plays video ads constantly when connected to WiFi... I get thr need for a banner ad at the bottom that’s static (you did create the app for income, after all), but locking up because it’s priority is fetching ads before functionality of the app itself, where a dev thinks missing inputs from the client is acceptable while loading more ad banners instead of doing this function in the background... the dev obviously isn’t serious about the app and only cares about cranking in as much ad revenue as possible. If I was advertising online and saw my ad on your calculator I’d give my ad agency one chance to remove ads from crap programs like this or I’d fire them because the people who would be relevant customers would never use an app as broken as this, and I’d be wasting my PPI ad dollars on school children and people who didn’t have enough sense to check the App Store for any of the other 50 results for the search term “calculator” and download any other calculator app. At all.

Have used for years, now uninstalling. Have loved this app, but now it has become so ad-packed, it isn’t usable. Ads now take up to 30 seconds to allow you to get an X to click them off, making using this program a long and tedious process. Am uninstalling after years of use, it is so unusable. Three quick calculations took over 5 minutes because of the ad interruptions. In response to the developer comment: saying you are releasing a knowingly buggy version with ads does not instill confidence that if I buy the paid version it will be better. I don’t mind buying apps. But I tend to base purchases on whether the developers have decent apps I can try for free during a trial period. The fact this app has gotten worse tells me the programming is not improving, and suggests money on the paid version would be wasted money.

Almost impossible to evaluate the free version.. Seriously, it’s a nice calculator app but the free version, supported by ads, can’t even be evaluated because it throws up a full-screen ad literally every several seconds! It’s not only annoying, it actually hampers any kind of meaningful evaluation of the app before deciding to buy it. DO NOT consider using the free version of this app on a regular basis, unless you enjoy having your train of thought and your calculations interrupted FREQUENTLY. I really was interested in this app and was considering buying it, but there literally is no way I can evaluate it before buying. Pass.

App has Become Ad-Ridden Buggy Mess. I’ve used this calculator app for years and have always enjoyed its simple design and usability. It had ads but they were kept to a unobtrusive banner on the screen. A while back the app started running a full screen ad when you start-up. Annoying but workable. Then the app interrupted usage at random and frequent intervals to run full screen ads that you must wait 5-10 seconds until you can skip. Very annoying. Now certain ads cause the app to glitch out randomly and the only remedy is to restart and clear cache. I’m done with this app. A quick search of the App Store and I see plenty of other choices. Honestly, don’t waste your time on this one.

Not Worth Enough to Pay. If you're thinking about spending real money to remove the ads, do yourself a favor and read some reviews by other people who paid for ad-free on the paid version of the app. They explain how the paid version removes the ad box at the bottom of the screen when using the calculator but doesn't remove that "one" pop-up ad that pops up every time you open the app. It advertises "recommended" apps, meaning other apps by this developer. (To the developer(s): I guess $3 isn't good enough, is it?) Aside from that, it's an easy to use calculator (when not connected to the internet), and I love the paper skin, but there are many other calculator apps that have way more skins than this and that definitely give you your money's worth.

Ridiculous. I am completely appalled that Apple allows this App or better yet this company to tarnish Apples great reputation. Now before I delve into details, I have screen shots of this bait and switch practice. I previously purchased the pro version. I uninstalled because I no longer needed it. Today I reinstalled the app. In the App Store , the IPad Pro version is located adjacent to the $.99 app. The one I own is labeled “open.” I click on it and it brings me to the free version. I left the app open, verified the purchase (I have proof from my receipts that I am oh so willing to share) went back to the App Store and selected the $.99 version. I am returned to the un-closed App and then prompted to pay. It’s false advertising and a class action lawsuit should be filed. Before the devs come back with cookie cutter response, I am more then willing to post my screen shots on the Apple forums. Balls in your court, you decide your fate.

Full screen ads at the most annoying moment…. The app itself is great since Apple does not ship iPads with a calculator for an obscure reason but the ads are way too annoying! They pop at the most annoying moment, like in the middle of entering numbers and take the full screen and you must wait until the end of the ad to continue what you are doing…. Then you continue just to get another full screen ad 2 minutes later. As another user said, why don’t you block the ads to be only banners which do not impede the use of the app? I was ready to buy it and then I got 2 ads in less than a minutes right in the middle of a calculation… guys… seriously… that is a deal killer!

Review. For those who agree with “too many ads” THERE IS ANOTHER APP that does all functions, currency, scientific, etc. and isolates it’s adds to make the program usable. It is called THE CALCULATOR!!!!. Now Mr. Developer you have competition that has a program that is user friendly but still has adds. If I turn off their adds life is still better. Everyone should avoid this app and go to THE CALCULATOR. Too many commercials. Will be dropping for something else. Compiling a list of advertisers to let them know we are tired. Or I can pay to NOT see their adds. Update Apple requested. It is only free if I pay...that is not free. The businesses already pay to show their adds, they should know I can pay to turn their adds off...which means their ad dollars are wasted. The app developer gets paid twice...not fair! Again, I will find another program.

Deceptive Marketing. Shameful.. As noted by others here, but not frequently enough, is the fact that buying Calculator “Pro” does not give you an intrusive free app without pop ups. Allegedly, to get that one you must (then) pay for the in app Calculator Pro “+”. And then that, given the track record of this developer (see past reviews), does not convince this user that pop ups and other annoyances to buy other products will be completely gone with the “+” further investment. Is this active deception or just a(nother) language deficiency in understanding and using common English? This developer’s products are now deleted from my devices. Hopefully Apple will listen to its customers and put a decent basic calculator in its upscale iPad models.

Accessibility review/issue with Calculator Pro.. I am a current accessibility/voiceover user, and I have a current issue that involves a ad not going away, it is very annoying to see that this ad is not going to be going away at all. I hope that this issue will be fixed in another update as well, also, can you please provide me the email address in case if I ever had any issues just in case please? Simple to Use. All you need for basic calculations. Easy to use, numbers a good size.

Ads make this app useless. In 15 minutes I did 11 calculations and 9 (nine) ads played?! I understand if an app or 2 plays when it’s opened but 1 ad every 100 seconds is overkill and is the absolute worst when I’m halfway through writing the calculation and it plays mid type causing me to tap on one of the ridiculous ads and being sent to the App Store. Fix this cause it simply is unusable.

Stop bothering Me.. IIf there is one thing I hate more than ads, it is “block ups” - when the app interrupts whatever you are doing, fo something it wants. This is the third time in less than 3 mins... you get a one out of ten for that. Props on hiding the review text as well you nasty shocks.

Too many ads. I’d been tolerating the ads as I liked the interface, but this morning it put up a 30 second ad 10 seconds after I started using it, and then another one ten seconds after the first. I wouldn’t mind so much but I paid at some stage to have it ad free. So don’t bother with this one.

Update has added bugs. Guys, I use the app regularly on my iphone and iPad. After the last update on my app iPad Pro the app is stuck on the new “fantastic converter feature” introduction screen, the “OK I understand” button won’t work - I cannot get past it to access the app. I am also a bit annoyed that the Pro + version keeps interruption me with an “upgrade to pro version” pop-up message. I already paid for the upgrade to stop the intrusive adds and the popups... i know you are trying to improve, but sometimes updates are worse. Please fix.

Pathetic. The interference of the ads makes the app almost unworkable. Ads I can live with. But the algorithm works for money, not whether you need something that you have or don’t need!

Love it has some bugs. It’s really nice to use but sometimes when an add pops up the calculator will go from the horizontal view to a stretched out version of the vertical view and can be really infuriating but besides that I can’t really flaw it

Put off instantly after installing. Downloaded, entered 2 numbers and was stopped by a 15 second add! Persevered and tried to complete a sum and had the same ad again before I’d got the final answer! It didn’t even give me the chance to assess the app to see if it was worth paying for before alienating me. Having a small banner across the bottom is an acceptable compromise for a free calculator app but to cut away and have to watch full ads is ridiculous. Deleted!

Slow and the ads are annoying. I’m deleting this app. It’s slow to launch and every time I use it an ad pops up which is very annoying. In response to the developers email to me... There are other ways to display ads within your app without using annoying pop ups.

Very good but the ads make it worse.... This app is very useful on the go, but it really isn’t helpful when it comes to the ads. If I’m in class and I need to quickly pop in a calculation and then an AD completely cuts me off, that just ruins the whole app for me. Like, I know developers worked hard for this and need some support for their hard work, but it should be in another way such as support for donations via PayPal or anything else. Ads are just not the way to go for this style of app. I know you can pay to remove ads, and I may seem like a cheapskate of some sort, but it’s a calculator app! In contrast to other apps that come with devices and are also on the App Store like this one, you shouldn’t need to buy a digital calculator if there are multiple other apps that let you take this system and use it to your leisure. If you really need support, maybe have support through donations, or develop another app that does have a reason for ads. Just ads isn’t the way to go for a calculator...

Really Really Annoying Ads. Right in the middle of a calculation and up comes an ad! Get rid of it lose your train of thought, re-enter your calculation and ....... Another ad for some nebulous irrelevant twoddle takes over the screen! I have a fix though ..... Write a crappy review, delete the app and blow the dust off my old high school calculator. Disappointing & noticeably slow. For a calculator app, it isn't doing much, & so, a device that's 1000% faster than a electronic calculator from the 70's, it should be able to cope! To many ads. Since there is no official app for the iPad calculator I thought I should try this app. As soon as I downloaded it bombarded me with adds. NOW Too many ads. I have been using this app for over 10 years. It was good. NOW there are too many ads. After one calculation, an ad pops up. The ad lasts for more than 30 seconds. Then you do another calculation, another ad pops up. Sometimes there are 2 ads after one calculation. It is really annoying that there are so endless ads when you need to a bit calculation. I won’t recommend this app.

Pro version now with ads (sort of). I purchased the pro version a while back and it was great. Recently I have noticed I have the sound of ads playing when I use the calculator and the only way to disable this is to turn the sound off on my iPad. Not cool.

Ads now making unusable.. I used this for years and was super happy with it, but recently the volume of ads seems to have increased recently to where it's unusable. I just tried to do a very basic quick calculation(splitting a grocery bill into three!) and I got six ads during the short time it took, because the third one was so abrupt and unexpected that I had to start over. Once I pushed two buttons and another loud, full volume ad popped up. I used to get one, maybe two, which was fine and to be expected, but this is ridiculous.

Full screen ads hinder ability to quickly use.. I don’t mind ads, but upon opening this app huge ads take up the entire screen. If I am opening it to quickly calculate something by the time they are done playing I have forgotten what it is I need to calculate. If I am not in a hurry and just need a calculator the ad isn’t a big deal, but it’s the ads that take up the entire screen anytime I even hit a button that become annoying. I am currently looking for a new calculator so I can leave this one behind.

Horrible, just horrible.. Got this calculator because I needed one on my iPad for simple rl tasks. Gave it several days of use. Ads are constantly taking over the full page and interrupting my thought process. This isn’t just inconvenient, for me it’s a disaster as I have health issues that affect my ability to maintain focus. In my opinion, this application is more coercive malware than anything else. Horrible app. This app tends to put a fat advertisement in your face literally every sixty seconds of the time you are trying to count important numbers. For goodness sake, stop ruining the experience. I seriously will pay money to rid this annoyance. I have never had such a app in my life, it gets worse. The developers are scamming me and I know i. The recent addition of full page ads make this unusable. I’ve used this calculator app for years but am uninstalling it for something else now. The banner ads were ok, but the ads that take over the whole screen are a problem. This happens randomly when clicking on several of the calculator function buttons. And, they are the lame Chinese game ads with the timer before you can dismiss it.

Confusing Decimal Point. I've used hundreds of calculators my entire life. I've never seen a calculator with a decimal point that looks like a comma. It's extremely confusing. When others use this app they're also confused about the decimal point. A decimal point SHOULD BE round or squared, NOT shaped like a comma. Not very professional or logical at all. Very good. I use this frequently for quick basic calculations and for geometric calculations. The square and square root functions are major features for me that distinguish this app. Also like that you can see the entries you put in so that you can see if you made a fat finger error.

Good Learning Tool. This app is great because it tells you the answer for any problem you do. This app has helped get better at studies by checking with something like this. I totally recommend getting this app.

To Many adds. I know you can upgrade for a low fee to get rid of adds but that is beside the point. There are way to many adds. Adds pop up between calculations and totally distract from tasks. I am getting a different add free calculator rather than being forced to pay. After the developer reminded me I could pay to upgrade, it reinforced my decision to change to another. As I stated, I won’t be forced to pay.

Revised Review. Finally, they have returned function to the app. The ads have gone south for the winter. Good app. Works smoothly and fairly quickly. The only suggestion is to add an option to use RPN similar to the wonderful HP calculators. I am an engineer that has spent 40 years using HP calculators and RPN to the point that using "algebraic" notation really "harshes my mellow"..

Ads-u-lator = see-u-later. App has gotten much worse with its ads. Just planning out some expenses over the next 6 months and had to pause three times for ads. I noticed the issue several months ago, but it hasn’t gotten better, and if anything the ads are worse. So I found another and have moved on. If you prefer a near ad-free experience, then stay away from this. But if you Ike the click bait, junk ads, mostly for games for kids, then this “calculator” is for you!

Calculator. I love this because the numbers are nice and big, but.....just as I’m getting to my total...boom..it skips to an add! So frustrating! I can't clear my cal-cu-la-ter. Too May Ads. You cannot complete a simple add, subtract, etc request on this calculator without an ad popping up and stopping you in your tracks! Every time you click on the erase button to start a new request, an ad pops up. You try again and start the process and see that you used a wrong number. You click the erase button to start over and an ad pops up. I hate this calculator being used on my iPad! The thing is, I have the same on on my iPhone and it does not do this. Why?? Grrrr!!

Too many ads time to deleat. This used to be a good app but the last time I used it, was constantly bombed with ads (couldn’t even get though one calculation)- good bye….. Update: just got an email from the developer whining that because it’s a free app, I should expect ads, well my reply is that you should just make it a free advertisement ad app with an occasional calculator…..

Good app for free. I've been using this app since I bought my iPad. It didn't cost me anything and it's handy to have. The only reason I didn't rate it five stars is the annoying pop up ads. They always seem to happen at the end of my calculations. Other then that it's a nice easy to use, easy to read calculator.

Useless due to intrusive ads. This is a horrible, horrible app. The ads are obnoxious and beyond intrusive, often coming up in the middle of a calculation which is infuriating. They can’t even be bothered to make sure the ads work, one particularly horrible one popped up in the middle of a calculation, covered the screen and provided no way to exit from. In fact the ad was blank except for a minuscule square in the upper left corner. I had to exit the app and lost the calculation I was in the middle of. This app is complete garbage.

WAY too many annoying pop-ups. Unusable now. I previously gave it 3 stars because of all the pop up ads. Now, I can’t even finish one simple calculation before it changes me to some terrorist active shooter looking game. Ridiculous. I’m not even going to pay for their ad-free version because of that active shooter trash. Going to find something new - paid for if necessary. But not this. Reply from developer: "We are sorry for the inconvenience. These functionality limitations in the app are compensated by the fact that it’s free. Please consider checking our portfolio for the applications with no ads that are available for download on different terms. " So by their reasoning, it’s ok to have an mostly unusable “free” app. If there was a way for me to give it 0 stars, I would. Deleted from my iPad this morning, and I installed a new app that works.

Don’t bother...Immediately deleted. I’ve had this on my iPad for years. Don’t use it very often but this latest time I tried to use it, the ads are so invasive, you can’t even do a simple calculation without an ad filling the whole screen or nag screen blocking with an upgrade offer. I get that nothing is really free, but the developers need to find the balance between keep it marginally useful and making enough ad impressions to turn a buck.

Decent Application. I enjoy all the features, but the ads are annoying and they take over the entire screen. If the ads were simple banners and did not take over the entire screen, this would be a better rating. Many times I have had to figure out what was the last number I entered and reorganize my calculations in my head. There has to be a better solution!

Functions as Designed. I do not use the calculator on my iPad often, but when I do it functioned as designed. I have not had the issue with ads as others have reported (a lower banner ad when I used it today). It is a bit slow/sluggish upon opening the app. Other than that, worked fine.

Zero stars!. This app has really gone downhill. It’s been a while since I’ve used it and was extremely disappointed to find that my work was constantly interrupted by advertisements. It got so bad I couldn’t even remember what I was trying to calculate. Definitely deleting this and installing a better one. I don’t care if it is “free“ and therefore needs advertisements to support it. When an app is not able to function as intended, then it ceases to be worthwhile. Deleting it and downloading a better, usable calculator.

More like Cheat. It’s more smart than I thought are used it all night and all days I was excited that it made me so happy that I can cheat and it’s so fun to use it as a real calculator so I use it every day also four months and I calculator when is going to be my birthday maybe not maybe yes

What a totally useless app.. I’m glad that there are paid options. (With other developers and apps)! I would rather do math problems by hand rather than use an app whose developers try to justify their poor app with very obvious paid reviewers. I realize that the app is “free” but I’ve never seen an app written to monetize the word free in such an obnoxious manner. Don’t just pay attention to me; read all of the other reviews and you’ll see that 90% of the people are fed up with this app and almost immediately remove it after trying it once! What a waste of time...

Last update made it unusable for me. I have not been able to use the app since the “fantastic converter feature” was introduced a couple months ago. The “I Understand” button does not work for me, so I can’t get past the introductory screen. (My IPad Pro is less than a year old, and system software is up to date.) hopefully this will be resolved soon - it was a 5-star app for me prior to this glitch.

Full screen ads every 30 seconds. Avoid this app. It was quite usable, even with the ads displayed. Now it’s showing full page ads that take about 5-10s to display because of the animation. I wanted to do one small calculation and I got the ad screen twice. It was only 30 seconds. I’m uninstalling as this really doesn’t do anything special. I’m not putting up with this for a calculator.

Does the paid version still have ads?. I like the free version except I have never seen so many intrusive pop ups. It’s pretty ridiculous. I was about to buy it to get rid of the ads, when I see comments that paying for this does not remove all the ads. Some pop ups still occur. Which ones....the full screen takeover ad? I’m not going to buy this if ads remain.

clean interface & great widget function. Love this simple app. Since calculator is not a built-in app on ipad as on iphone, i have to look for one that just works without too much distractions. This app serves the purpose seamlessly. The clean interface and widget function are welcoming bonus.

Not a bad app.. This app isn't bad, and I've been using it for a few years, however I've noticed the ads have slowly been creeping in. At this point there's an ad like every minute or two. I realize the person who made this wants some money for the hard work, but its just annoying, cause there used to be little to no ads when I first started using it.

Worst Abuse of Ads. This app has gotten worse over time. It used to be a great app, but the new version has so many obnoxious ads that you almost can’t use the thing!! It’s awful. Ads will jump up right in the middle of using the calculator, so just when you’re tapping on a number you end up tapping on a horrible ad and then you have to click out of Safari, then open the app again and literally start your calculation all over again. And of course, halfway through another ad pops up. OMG. Totally not worth the hassle. Use another app!

It’s Suitable but Not Great. I like it. I appreciate being able to have extra skins. Great sizes for the buttons and the multiple modes. My biggest issue is it always stretches out in landscape mode. When I go to portrait, then back to landscape, it triggers an ad. The ad doesn't bother me, but when it comes back, it stretches out again. It’s a horrible cycle, I have to do it like three times, before it stops stretching out.

App has become increasingly unstable over time... When I installed this app a few years ago, it was great. It has a nice, intuitive interface and is easy to use. As time has gone on, the app began to freeze up on a regular basis, sometimes halfway thru a basic calculation... I'm getting tired of having to continually restart it... I am running the latest release of ios 15.4...

Pay for... ads??. Purchase this app a few years ago and was quite happy with it. Unfortunately recently they have taken to foisting adds onto the bottom of a paid version of the pro calculator software. This is not what I paid for. I paid for the ad free experience. There’s no option in the program that I can find that allows me to “recover the license “”as many do when you’re trying to reload an application. Far as I’m concerned the company has gone down the wrong road.

TI84?. I see no reason with the amounts of tech power available to us, why the common calculator can't yet take voice commands that go as far as integration, and even imaginary numbers. Siri is connected to the internet, why can't the calculator? Regardless, this is the mediocre type of app I expected, so I'm okay with it until I can learn who the heck is in charge of it all. Idiots.

The worst pop ups I’ve ever seen. I needed a calculator for iPad and this was the first item that popped up so I downloaded it. The app was basically unusable with the amount of advertisement pop ups. I deleted it right away. The unfortunate part is I would have happily paid for the app from the beginning if it were present that way from the App Store. But after my frustration with the free version, I’d rather not even bother or even financially support a developer who is putting such aggravating garbage out into the App Store.

Ads?. It’s literally a calculator. I know that devs need to make money but it’s a calculator. A CALCULATOR. Why should I buy the full version when I can use google. Just don’t get this piece of literal trash. It’s a fine calculator, I’ll give you credit for that, but it’s only a calculator. I honestly hope you get some sense and so something about the adds. I swear if you tell me to upgrade... let’s just say I’ll hope the company crashes and burns... this app makes math homework even worse

Good. Update: Excellent!!! I see that it already have this on the latest version... very good!!! I like this calculator... but the only thing I would change is to have % on the first page without having to turn around the iPad ... the phone app has this ... I don't know why the iPad app doesn't!

Adds. Although this app is a great calculator, it has way to many adds. I don’t mind that there is an add on the bottom of the screen, but it is getting ridiculous that pop up adds come up every minute, sometimes seconds. I only downloaded this for my homework, but it is getting out of hand. Please fix this. I know you need money, but it is just too much. I may just find a different calculator app since this is so crazy.

Ads. Wayyyy too many ads. Full page, can’t click off of, 30 second ads. There’s an ad even before it will give you 1 calculation. And every calculation after an ad pops up. Not worth it. I understand free apps get $ from ads, but banners at the bottom vs full screen unclickable ads would be better. If anyone’s looking for a better free calculator search THE CALCULATOR. There’s a bottom banner ad but none of the full screen ones.

Nice Calculator. I like this calculator very much. There are ads but hey it's free and I'm willing to put up with the ads so that I can continue to be free. If you don't like ads, purchase in app and calculate your hearts content with no ads. It really is an electronic slide rule. I specially like the trig functions.

Annoying ads!!!. I purchased this app over the free version because I wanted to get rid of the ads. Not to say there aren't others without ads. I am comfortable with the interface. However, it gets worse knowing that the ads keeps popping up as very annoying distractions while working with numbers or calculations. If the ads cannot be gotten rid off, I will gladly appreciate a refund and do away with the app.

Unusable with full screen ads. The full screen ads are completely obnoxious. I understand and appreciate the need to generate revenue in free products. The banner style ads at the bottom are reasonable and seem fair for the app on offer. The full screen ads go too far. Normally when I see banner ads with an option to remove them for a dollar or two I am happy to pay the fee to support the developer. But in this instance I find the full screen ads so distasteful that I simply deleted the app.

Full-page ads make it unusable. In one three minute session of using this calculator, I got three full page ads which completely blocked the calculator. There is no option to remove the ads, other than just locating and buying the paid version, then removing this one. But the whole point of this is to ad support it while either using it only lightly, or as a trial to see if you like it. But the ads prevent any of that from happening which destroys the product.

Was a great calculator now wrecked by ads. There is nothing more frustrating than being in the middle of a calculation and a random ad pops up and interrupts you in the middle. If you enjoy being in the middle of inputing data and then having annoying ads stop you during mid type then this app is for you. The ads at the bottom did not bother me at all, but as soon as they turned into pop up ads this went from a 5 star to a 1 star app. Dont bother find something else

The Worst App on the App Store. I would give this zero stars if I could. This app throws continuous ads and won’t let you close them. I would happily update to the paid version, but I can’t get out of one ad to do so. I have uninstalled it and tried to purchase to no avail. This developer just wants to make money by frustrating their customers. Uninstalling permanently and buying a different calculator with no advertisements.

The calculator doesn’t work correctly.. I have tried using the app and even though it puts an ad right in the middle of my calculations. It doesn’t work correctly. If I am calculating a whole number and hit the mode (-,+,/,x) it doesn’t give me a correct answer. For this reason I don’t see how the paid version will do a better job. I tried sending you an app support message but it takes me to the page to find more products. Help!

Ads….I hate them. I have the Pro version and I also get full page ads! I’m sure I paid for it to get away from the ads. Very maddening. I’m looking for a different app. Update: I promptly heard from the “developer” with instructions to update the app if I DID have a purchased version. The process I did not have the purchased version and they offered the version free from ads right there. I bought as I like the conversion functionality. I’ll update this again if I get junk!

I have used this ap for several years. But after years the adds kept popping up more frequently ...and that was okay at first because they’re just trying to make a buck. Bit now I can’t even sit down to pay my bills without 20-30 commercials.
