Would have been zero.... Seems that the support model for the US Handicap app is, well, non existent. I paid for my initial subscription three years ago and allowed the annual payment to be auto-renewed through iTunes. In April 2019, my first subscription renew cycle, the app managers didn’t pick up on my payment through iTunes and my account reverted to the “free” version which does not calculate your handicap. I sent a support request to reinstate my handicap and it was fixed in less than 1 week. Fast forward to April 2020. Same thing happens. Except this time I have received zero response to three separate support requests over a 1 month time period. I also managed to find a phone number to call for support, and it always sends callers to voice mail. Again, zero response to messages over a 2-week period. Appears that’s $30 down the drain. Stay away from these jokers!! Instead, find a local golf course and buy a GHIN handicap through them. There is a great GHIN app to enter scores and track your handicap index.

App blows and no support. I’ve tried forever to log back into this app and all you get is security error messages and no support to be found . I’ll lose my hancdicsap data but who care.s. I’ll get 10 rounds in in a workable app!

Last Update Ruined a Great App. This used to be a great app with a simple interface and intuitive navigation. Selecting your course is now clunky and you cannot easily get rid of the pre-populated course. You can no longer see what scores are being used in your handicap. Calculating a course handicap requires hunting through menus. I’d like to go back to the old version of the app.

Horrible Design. This is easily one of the worst apps I’ve ever interacted with. There are numerous bugs, glitches, and flaws. It’s pretty clear they skimped on the QA process. I can enter my score, but using the app is cumbersome and a burden. Needs to be completely redesigned and rebuilt.

Changes. I do not like the app since the changes were made. Before, I could click on attest my score and my friends would show up and I could just click on a name. Now I have to type in a name and email address..not all change is good 😡

Terrible Customer Serivce. This app has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I continually have problems with the app shutting down mid round end no one returns any of the communications. Strongly recommend using a different app since this one is terrible

** DO NOT BUY - SCAM **. This company is a complete scam and not the handicap you are looking for. They take your money and will not refund it. I submitted a request to cancel my account before being billed again this year and they still charged me. Unethical and should not be in business I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

Big Disappointment. I paid the $69 for 3 years of service but am getting no support from the service. The course information is erroneous and I tried on multiple occasions to get it fixed by sending in trouble tickets and trying to call. The trouble tickets are ignored and the phone number posted on the web site doesn’t work. I made a mistake by not using GHIN. I feel like I’ve been scammed!

Terrible service. I’ve sent three or more account cancellation requests and so far they have done nothing…no response, nothing. Do not use this service. Get GHIN instead.

Do NOT use this handicap tracker!. I have issues even giving it one star… There is absolutely no customer service available at all! It is very difficult to find anything about how to cancel your membership. There is an email listed but after sending three emails to cancel my membership I never got a response indicating such. I had to cancel the credit card that was on file so I would not be charged. That is absolutely ridiculous! This is obviously a complete hoax and just a way for unsuspecting customers to be trapped in a membership they don’t want. Complete and total waste of money!

Zero Customer Support. I like many other people on this review board paid for the 3 year subscription ($30) as it seemed like a great deal. I had no problems the first 6 months using the app and then my handicap suddenly disappeared. I have reached out multiple times to their support center through the app and email with no response. It appears I’m out my $30 plus whatever I’ll have to pay to get a handicap with a reputable company. Disappointed is not a strong enough word to describe this app.

Disappointing. This app is underwhelming and has continued to get worse. They don’t allow you to go back and edit a manually entered score. Further customer service is non existent and they don’t reply to any emails. I’ll be cancelling and switching to another app.

Buyer beware. Don’t join this site!! I signed up for 3 years, 1st year was great, then boom!! I have made several dozen attempts to contact them and no one ever gets back to you!! My handicap has read NH for the entire 2022 season. Stay away from this scam site.

Beware !!!. This app appears completely unattended. It promised to calculate a handicap after at least three 18 hole rounds or combination of 18 and 9 hole rounds and does not do it. It assigned me to a non compliant club in Texas and I’m in Missouri. The club manager does not respond to messages. I have sent two tickets over the past two weeks for app support and received no reply. They promise reply in two days. I wish there was a way to get my money back. I have moved on to another app that is very highly rated. I should have paid better attention to the ratings. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

This App is a Scam. Wish I could do 0 stars. Don’t buy this app. They don’t cancel your subscription when you ask and it’s impossible to speak to anyone on the “customer support” team. I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription for over a month and haven’t heard a response from any of my multiple cancel requests.

Horrible experience. Used this for 1 year and was satisfied. Found it impossible to cancel as I was moving to a GHIN handicap. Let the buyer beware... they automatically renew and will NOT refund your money once they run the charge. Months later I still don’t know if they’ve canceled me going forward. Frustrating and unethical

Absolutely the Worst!. Stay away from this APP- it is not a GHIN and there is ZERO customer support- they never answer emails - only time they reached out to me was for renewal which is I will NEVER do! Save your money and stay away from this APP!!! Scammers!!!

Been using the app for a few years.. Paid 2020 annual fee in April and App has worked fine until couple of weeks ago when and all of a sudden I try to log in and it tells me my username/email didn’t exist. Sent several messages to support with no response. I am thinking I am out my fee and the app no longer works for me, very frustrating.

Subscription. Automatic renewal and very difficult to get support. Haven’t been able to find a phone number. Will see if the the support ticket I filled through the FAQ page gets answered. Awful app for the price, would not recommend.

Save your Money. This app survives by making it extremely difficult to cancel. Received no notice of charge and when I disputed they said I couldn’t get a refund because I didn’t cancel before renewal. Recommend the Grint, much cheaper and USGA certified handicap.

DO NOT USE. After purchasing the five year plan I realized that this app and the US Handicap would not work the same as GHIN. After realizing my mistake a day later I reached out to “Chip” to cancel my subscription and no response. No communication at all. This app is completely unprofessional and needs to be shutdown

Wasted money. I made the mistake of downloading this app and paying for 3 years. I was not happy with the app so I reached out to the developer. I can get no response! Also, there are no refunds. I only hope people will read the reviews before downloading this terrible app that has no service.

What’s wrong with app. Used this ap for over 8 years no issues, yesterday the handicaps disappeared, can’t log on still have a valid subscription. Can’t find a support email to request help. If they don’t fix this, will go somewhere else. Otherwise been a great ap first issue with it.

Not Ghin. I downloaded this and paid for the subscription thinking it was the ghin app (clearly not paying as much attention to details as I should). Am I the only person stupid enough to do that or are they purposely misleading people? After I’ve paid for a year subscription is it at least worth using? Anyone willing to explain to me the difference between this one and the ghin app?

App went from useable, to horrendous.. App was solid enough last year, worked OK. Made updates this year, now impossible to use. 1/2 the courses I play (well known) aren’t in the app. The Grint is free and 100x better. Will be canceling my annual renewal. Still wondering how they ever saw these updates as user friendly.

Golfers Beware!!. This app is a total scam and the customer service is nonexistent. I signed up last year and upon realizing this app does not provide a GHIN (which you must do through a club) I contacted support to cancel the same day. Fast forward 1 year, I get charged and have contacted support three times over the past 2 weeks with no response! There is no way for you to cancel membership on your own and when you send a support ticket in, you are not provided a ticket number or confirmation email to track the issue. I would never recommend this app to another golfer ever!!

DO NOT BUY. As mentioned by several other people on here, your subscription may work for a year or two, but then it auto renews and you’ll suddenly be considered “free” member. When you try to upgrade through the app, it tells you no memberships available in your area. Tried to contact customer support but no response. Save your money and purchase any other handicap app on here

Do NOT waste your money. I paid for the premium membership almost 4 weeks ago. They never set me up in the USGA Handicap System even after I submitted a request to fix the issue. Got no response from my request. Waste of Money!

It’s a scam. No refunds and make it very difficult to cancel subscription. They hope you forget and or don’t know how to cancel then get another autopayment from you. This is a scam not a service shouldn’t even be on the App Store.

ABSOLUTE SCAM. this is the first review I’ve ever written about anything because I usually just don’t feel like taking the time, but I feel like this it’s my duty to help others avoid this trap. I’ve requested to cancel my membership 3 times in the past month since my renewal is coming up and there is no response from customer support whatsoever. There’s no option to take your credit card off. It’s a complete trap and scam-this is downright illegal.

Support Does Not Respond. This is not what I thought it was. Is not affiliated with GHIN which is what I was looking for. They make it impossible to cancel your subscription. I have been reaching out to support for almost a year now with no feedback and cannot figure out how to cancel. It should not be that hard. I am at a point where I’m seriously considering just canceling the credit card it’s on and getting a new one.

Latest upgrades are not good. As a matter of fact I am unable to even open the newest updated app on my iPhone. I have use this app for almost 8 years and I am now disappointed with it. GHIN is much better and more stable.

Read before Purchase! DO NOT SPEND YOUR $$. I did a simple Google search looking for a GHIN handicap for a tournament I wanted to play in. This was the first site to pop up (clearly paying for that key word to show up on the list) signed up, payed the $30, entered scores and given a handicap #(very similar to a GHIN) Try to look myself up on the GHIN system and low and behold...not there. Digging thru the US handicap website I come to learn it’s not affiliated with the GHIN system however claim to be a USGA certified handicap. AVOID spending your money here. The Grint offers the same USGA certified handicap however the app is 1000x better. When I went to cancel my account 20 minutes after purchasing I was told I have to reach out to the support team. Finally got an email that said “Your account has been cancelled, but no refund can be processed in this situation” with no reason behind that policy, other than “because we said so” They clearly know that the customers they sign up are looking for something else, otherwise why wouldn’t they refund the $30 and avoid a negative review on a bad customer experience. One last warning: DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP

I Love this App. This is a great way to save your rounds and statistics. The only thing I wish is that it established a GHIN number but I realize now that has to be done through a club. As far as keeping my rounds and seeing my trends, this has a whole lot of capability. The other good thing about it is it will link other apps you may have (if I enter on GolfNet for instance) and will grab that score and put it in your Handicap tracker on here. I’m very happy being assured that all my scores are safe, especially because I am trying to practice and get back to a competitive level, so this helps me majorly in that aspect also. As far as a free app to store your scores, it can’t imagine it would ever get any better. I may even upgrade my service to their pay option considering I am so pleased with what they offer for free!

DON’T BUY. Signed up and paid the annual fee. Then realized that it was no good to get me into the tournament I was trying to play in. Went thru their process of cancellation (no refunds) so that I wouldn’t get charged again in a year. Buyer beware - lesson learned. Only to see 1 year later another non-refundable annual charge added to my cc. Went thru app again to see why they ignored my previous cancellation. Had to call AMEX and put a vendor block on this vendor so as not to get charged again. Terrible experience- read all reviews. I ordered too fast trying to get a handicap # for a last minute entry into a tournament - it has now cost me $60 to never use it. Wish I could rate a zero star.

Course searching improvements. What I would consider a key feature, being able to search golf courses to then enter a score, does not work on a mobile app.

Needs an update!. I like this app for my handicap, but like the review above, customer service seems to be non existent. I’m afraid that when I do cancel my membership, I will continue to be charged! It’s also in major need of an update. A lot of courses on here that don’t even exist anymore.

Garbage. Can’t even post a score not to mention my home course doesn’t even have any slope ratings or course ratings making unable to use that course. They tell you to submit a ticket but never get a response or any type of correction wasted money.

#1 GARBAGE. Do NOT… I repeat DO NOT purchase any sort of subscription to this app or from their website. I purchased it hoping to get a handicap set up and verified but NEVER received it for days.. weeks. I sent in multiple requests to their customer support and NO response whatsoever. The reason I wanted my handicap was for an upcoming tournament, so after the tournament was over I cancelled my subscription (still no handicap posted so what did it matter anyway?) I then filed a report with my card company because I never got the services I paid for , and they sent me back with a report saying my request was denied because there are no cancellation policies for GolfNet/ us handicap. Okay… but the reason I cancelled and asked for a refund is because I NEVER got the handicap or index in the first place. But, low and behold I got the handicap when the card company sent me a print out from GolfNet .. coincidence? I think not. No response from anyone at GolfNet until they got a chargeback notice from my card company and only then did they care and do something about it. Absolute scam, no customer support or results. Do NOT buy anything from this rubbish company. .

0 stars. Don’t buy it. It will tell you no refunds. After you purchase, it will tell you that in order to get a “useable” handicap, you need to upgrade in the app. Still trying to figure out how to cancel. Nothing is easy on this app. I paid $70 just to cancel it with no choice for getting a refund.

Run away do not walk.. Similar to others I have attempted to cancel my subscription multiple times with zero response or effect. Moreover the system itself requires substantiation from a third party if not a club member. My next step if they do not respond is to alert our state AG to their scam. One star only because zero is not an option.

Scammed. I just recently had my premium membership renew and now all of a sudden there are premium clubs within 50 miles of my address. It also asks me to upgrade my account when my account just renewed. Support has been nonexistent. Don’t bother with this app.

Last year would have been 5 stars. ...Easily. The new HBH interface is really much more difficult to use than it was last year. I appreciate some of the changes, but the actual entry of HBH stats is really frustrating especially if you’re doing it mid round. I know this is a golf app and everything, but you really made this worse by changing it. Update: home page much better, but the HBH entry remains much more cumbersome than the previous version (which was really great.) Half of the HBH entry page is consumed by categories (score, drive direction, putts, etc) which leaves only the right half of the screen to scroll through selections on a single line. So if you hit one right, you have to scroll through the options to see it, but you’ll likely end up clicking another option that the scrolling menu then snaps to which undoes all of your scrolling efforts. To even get to this HBH entry you must first click a small box on a digital scorecard, adding another step to the process. Honestly, is there anyway to revert back to the old version? I’m serious. I just paid to continue my service, but this app is just too frustrating to use much longer. I know they can fix the issues, because it was really a great layout before.

Scam- DONT DO IT. I wish I read the other reviews because they are spot on. No customer service. No refund even after I contacted customer service less than 10 minutes after I signed up (I didn’t realize it wasn’t GHIN). Don’t be fooled that it pops up as the first add in google search. I submitted a support request immediately on 5/27 and only got a response today on 6/23 just saying “it has been cancelled”. No refund. No customer support. No other options. Total scam for people looking for a legit handicap.

Long Term Con. I purchased this initially in March 2021 and everything worked fine, handicap was generated and able to be referenced by others. With this success, I allowed the app to renew in 2022. Suddenly upon my renewal the app claims that there is no longer a club in my area that would allow my handicap to be calculated. Despite reverting to the free version, the app still charged me for the full year. I have sent 3 different support requests to the company that have all been ignored. I am now out the cash charged by this app, as well as the fees to register in the GHIN as a result of this apps incompetence. THIS COMPANY IS JUST CASHING THE RENEWAL MONEY WITHOUT PROVIDING THE ADVERTISED SERVICE! Pay the extra for the GHIN to avoid this con

Renewed subscription does not work.. Year one this was great. After renewal it. Ever kept the handicap features even though I paid. Even with multiple requests to Developer and Apple there is no resolution.

Scam. I wish I saw these reviews before signing up…they’re all true. This is a scam and you can’t get your money back or cancel (or remove/change) payment info on the app or website.

BBB in Houston Texas rates them an F. No customer support. I followed the instructions to have service stopped. They ignored it. No way to contact them. They just try to keep charging. Apple should remove them from the Apple Store.

Crooked. Apple needs to dump them immediately . The first year was fine but then I had a auto renewed subscription apple took my money but I’m only allowed the free portion of their site . The same thing happened to the last person that reviewed this site . Do not use this app. I’ve sent them numerous emails and they have not responded .

Worst handicap app. Missing my home course for starters. I’ve tried several and this is the worst by far. Crashes. Overly simplistic. I had it for a year and they automatically renewed my subscription. I noticed right away. Asked for a refund but denied. So I have a useless app for another year. Get the GRINT app!!!
