Pedometer++ App Description & Overview

What is pedometer++ app? Your iPhone is always with you and makes a great step counter.

Available on the iPhone and Apple Watch, Pedometer++ is the best way to review your step count, walking distance, active calories and heart rate data.

Set a custom step count goal, and track your progress over time. The built-in graphs make reviewing your data easy and fun. Everyone loves awards, and Pedometer++ includes a range of Badges to motivate and reward your hard work! The app also totals how far you’ve walked each day, and even counts the flights of stairs you encounter each day.

With full-featured widget support, Pedometer++ can display your step count or update you on your daily progress right from the lock screen or home screen of your iPhone.

The Apple Watch app puts all this data on your wrist. With a wide range of Complications, it’s easy to check your progress with just a glance. Add a single Complication to your daily watch face, or add several to build a comprehensive fitness-focused look!

DETAILS:
For best results, keep your iPhone on you as you move throughout the day, ideally in a pocket close to your hips. If you have an Apple Watch, you can set Pedometer++ to sync step data across your devices for the most accurate data possible.

The Apple Watch app can also be used to start and track both indoor and outdoor walking and running workouts and can serve as your guide while hiking.

ROUTES & MAPPING:
Pedometer++ is your ultimate companion for exploring the great outdoors. You can import GPX files for waypoints and routes set by others.

You can also use the app to create your own routes. Simply tap on your desired start and end points, and Pedometer++ will find the shortest route between them. You can then tweak the route based on terrain, trail popularity or personal preference.

In addition to the distance of a route, Pedometer++ shows the elevation changes you will encounter and the estimated time it will take you to reach your destination. You can also monitor the weather that is expected along your route.

The best part is that custom routing is available on the iPhone and Apple Watch. And of course, being out in nature often means losing cell service, so Pedometer++ allows you to download offline map data for large areas, not just data for your specific route. Offline map data is available on the iPhone and Apple Watch, as long as your Watch is within range of your phone.

NOTES:
Pedometer++ integrates with the Apple Health app to collect and display step data collected by your Apple Watch.

Pedometer++ includes an optional premium subscription. This is offered on a monthly or annual basis. If you choose to purchase a subscription your payment will be charged to your iTunes account. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled within 24 hours before the end of the current period. After purchase, you can turn off auto-renewal anytime by going to your Account Settings on the App Store.

Access to iPhone-based workout tracking is only available to Pedometer++ Premium subscribers.

Would be great if it worked properly.. This app gives you achievements for things like meeting your step goal a certain number of times, or taking a certain number of steps in a day. That’s great, and it really encourages me to walk, moreso than just checking the number of steps on the Apple Health app. The problem is that it simply doesn’t work properly. Today I climbed a steep hill, and it granted me 0 flights of stairs. I climbed the same hill five minutes later, and this time it gave me four flights. I would have hit an achievement if it had registered the first trek up the hill, but it didn’t. And then sometimes it just randomly deducts steps I’ve taken. It credits them to me initally (and matches up with the Health app, so it seems to be an accurate number), then suddenly jumps to a much lower number. When I just checked my step count on the lock screen widget, it showed me 7900 steps, which is over my personal goal, thus giving me a 9-day streak. When I entered the app proper, it cut me down to 6449 steps, significantly below my goal and decimating my streak (and the April achievement). This is the third time I’ve seen this happen, and quite frankly, it’s the last. This app does me no good if it doesn’t accurately (or at the very least, consistently) track my activity. I’ll be deleting it and looking into alternatives.

Out of sync. Pedometer ++ remains a wonderful tool. I’m surprised I hadn’t previously reviewed and rated. I’ve had a 5-star opinion of it up until the recent 3.4.5 update. Currently, toward the end of each day, I’ve observed that the count on my watch is always lower than the count on my phone. Yes, I’ve given plenty of time (and some app restarts) for the two to sync up. In reality it’s probably only a minor inconvenience since the phone app is where the long term log is kept and I believe it holds the accurate number of steps. But it is annoying when the watch is telling you there are still a few hundred steps left to go to reach your goal, but you have already met your goal as reported by the phone app. While I’m here, I will also lament the fact that the series 4 infograph modular face complication is inferior to the complication for the old modular face. It only has a progress ring where as the old complication also included the actual step count and distance displayed inside the ring. I would really like that back.

Great app when it works but frustrating when it doesn’t. This is a great app if only because it lets you add steps as a complication. It does a great job of showing you your steps as you are walking or working out. But for some reason in the main section of the iPhone app it skips some days showing completely inaccurate data. Yesterday I logged 6956 steps according to Pedometer (6826 according to the Apple health app) but the day before according to Pedometer I only did 1110 steps. This was completely wrong and Apple shows me doing 5952 steps that day. I know that this seems silly but it’s a great way of motivating me to do work outs by giving me the awards for achievement of goals but you can’t get them if the app drops whole days from the data used for awarding them. So that is the reason why I am not going to give this app 5 stars. When and if they fix it I will definitely update my review and reassess the rating.

Simply Effective—It Works!. I’ve been using Pedimeter++ for close to 8 years now and love it! Very simple and easy to use. I love the bar graph layout and how it shows you met your set goal with a change of color. Very easy to see what days you were successful. I wouldn’t want to complicate such a beautifully simple app, but there is one thing I would add. I’d add a note feature allowing me to add a note to any given day to tell what I was doing to make those steps. It wouldn’t be in the main page. Rather when you tap the give day’s bar, it would open a notation page the automatically starts an entry with the date, the number of steps and then a space for the notation. For me, that would add a lot of utility to an already great app!

I Don’t Know Why. What are floors? So far after using them for well over a year I have no idea what they mean or how they are at all useful. I can go on a hike with a 4000 foot elevation gain and collect no more than 30 floors. Then I can go on a local hike near the house with relatively no elevation gain and get 60 floors. Maybe it’s just me, maybe I’m just slow, maybe I need two years to figure it out. I also have some special awards that I have absolutely no idea where they came from or how to achieve them. One appears to be for something that occurred two years ago on a weekend humm... no idea. That leaves daily steps, accumulated steps, weekend awards, and monthly challenges bundled around a daily confetti graphics for a job well done. I get a ton more useful information from the Health app that came with my iPhone but it doesn’t seem quite as personalized as Pedometer++ so I’m still using both for two alternative purposes. BTW, we are soon going to be in to the second week of 2021 and there is no new monthly challenge for January. Maybe it’ll pop up with the next update.

Awesome!!. Love love love this wonderful app simple so I don't have to DO anything at all--- just get it on your laptop and it does ALL the work for you ! Cannot tell you enough how much this has helped me! Thank you so much , nameless & terrific programmer. 9/9/17 Am still singing praises for this terrific app!! Must be made to fit everybody -- because at first I was an ordinary old person, lazy & not too swift with electronics plus really, really lazy- didn't want to learn anything new - well, my smart physics- teacher daughter told me to go to the App Store and get pedometer plus-plus and the rest is history !!!oh my I must be your biggest backer. Now I am on a walker unfortunately but still counting steps and your app keeps me up and hopeful. Please keep your app as simple to use as in the Past - please, please. It is wonderful ! Thanks so much , again.

Simple & Helpful!. I’m not a fan of over intrusive apps… especially when physical health is involved. Every app I’ve tried has felt like an abusive relationship telling me that I wasn’t doing enough with small bursts of love bombing in between… those apps took the enjoyment of simply moving my body and trying to be more active simply because I knew I’d feel better if that was just a part of my life… Pedometer++ is really the perfect activity app if you simply want to keep your body moving. It doesn’t constantly nag me to add other aspects of the app into my daily life, it doesn’t tell me how I didn’t reach my goal the day I wasn’t feeling well, it doesn’t push me… it simply informs. Yes there’s badges and reward systems available because people do respond to that but those aren’t in the forefront… tracking when you are active is what they focus on… and that’s exactly what I needed. Btw… this is my first EVER app review. And I apologize if it seems like I am not real because of how I wrote it… I am an Art Director with copywriting experience and it’s hard to turn that off… but I promise… I am a very real person who has been loving this app. ❤️

Useful app. I’ve started walking every morning and this app on my phone has helped me get a general sense of my distance each day. My only complaint is that though the steps seem to reflect what I do each morning, the mileage is not accurate. I am less concerned with whether the miles are literal miles, but would at least like the miles to reflect the comparative distances from day to day. For instance I did the same route on Friday as I did on Monday - except Monday I added a few more blocks. Yet Friday shows 4.5 miles, and Monday shows 3.8 miles (even though I went farther on Monday), and yet the step count does show the greater distance on Monday. All I can figure is a snafu in the GPS. So I’ve learned to rely on the step count more than on the mileage. In the big picture though it is a useful app and it was free. So it’s really hard to complain too much. It is simple to use and tells me how far I go each day (in steps). It has lots of other bells and whistles that I have not taken the time to figure out. But perhaps one of these days.

Disabled Veteran says “Very good motivator “. I’m a U S Navy veteran of the cold war era, I suffer from sever arthritis pain and Fibromyalgia along with a healthy dose of PTSD just for good measure. Many days I wake up and the pain is so bad that I just don’t feel I can get through the day. That’s when I get on my phone and go to the Pedometer app and it helps give me the motivation I need to get moving. Once I get past the initial pain, I find that I can continue through the day. When I look at the progress I made at the end of the day, I just feel so proud of myself! It gives me strength to look foreword to the next day to see if I can get more steps than I did the day before. It’s a wonderful app especially for those that don’t have any one around to give them a pat on the back or encouraging words for a job well done! Thanks

Used to be a great app but….. Simple, reasonably accurate, a good and intuitive user interface and a nice set of displays on the Apple Watch. However, starting late yesterday the watch displays became totally non functional. On some watch faces the “complication “ says 0 steps and 0 miles regardless of reality. But if you tap on the complication you are brought to a page with accurate information. On other watch faces the complication is totally blank or greyed out and you may or may not be able to tap into the pedometer app data. The phone app works fine. I have no clue if the watch is even recording steps anymore if I’m not carrying the phone. And the inability to read progress on the watch face itself ruins the user experience. I don’t know if this is the result of a recent update to the Apple operating system (watch or iPhone) or to the app itself. Regardless, it is very disappointing. If not fixed soon I will need to search for a different app, although I certainly do not want to do so.

How does this work?. The Pedometer program works with Apple Health and offers an amazing amount of information. I was first drawn to setting the number of steps I traveled each day. Sure and soon enough, I adjusted my daily goal upwards. I have set my steps goal to a level where most days I meet my planned number of steps BUT NOT EVERY day. If one wants to improve, that involves setting goals that are challenging but not unrealistic. The Pedometer program makes good use of well styled and colorful graphic displays. In addition the authors add useful features that increase the usefulness of the program providing you can figure them out. My suggestion is that the company spend time walking users through the functionality of the program. I have spent time to decipher how to use a feature, sometimes never figuring it out. That is frustrating and with some effort is a problem that can be fixed. One way to solve this problem is to provide an electronic “pamphlet” with the program that shows how to use it to its full advantage. Adding new features, well explained, is a positive. I expect the marketing folks would see the value in this or putting up a well explained web site. If indeed you have something like this already I haven’t seen it. I hope this is something you address as I believe your product has a lot to offer and would attract more customers and profit if there is some help available for users.

Thanks. Thank you for your app it motivates me to get out and walk. At the end of the day I will look at my score and won’t have reached my goal it makes me get out and make one more lap around the truckstop I don’t know if I’m losing any weight but I do have more energy I really like the monthly challenge I just discovered it this month so I have been reaching that challenge. I will pay more attention and be looking to see what the next months challenge will be hope it’s not too hard I am an old guy. I am an over the road truck driver and I think more drivers should do this. I’m from The northern tier of the country so in the winter months it’s hard to make your goals but now that the weather is warmer I am walking more. Thanks again keep up the good work.

Loving it and hating it. Love this app when it works, which seems utterly random. Sometimes it counts my steps, other times I can take hundreds of steps and the count stays the same. I have been up and down my 13-stair flight of steps at least 9 times today; it counts 1. Yesterday it was counting my flights just fine. I’ve been using this for less than a week. I love the overall interface and on the days it decides to work I love the motivation to be more active. It is just so frustrating that my phone - always hooked to my waistband in the same way - randomly withdraws that motivation and makes me want to just chuck the whole idea. On the plus side, I am getting tons of step exercising done today, as I deliberately go up and down and up and down, trying to get the stupid thing to acknowledge my effort. I was delighted at first, but will probably hunt for a different app. 🙁

Worked until it didn’t. I’ve been using this app for two years, since I replaced my Fitbit with an Apple Watch. Why the Apple Watch didn’t have this built in I will never know. For the most part this worked great. But late last year I started noticing weird bugs. It wouldn’t update unless I closed out of the app on both devices, then they wouldn’t sync properly. Then it would say I got my steps, but the next day it would say I didn’t. Breaking streaks. It was sporadic and seemed to fix itself for a while. Then in August this bug reappeared and broke a 280+ day streak. Considering I had my own reasons for this goal every day, it was extremely frustrating. I reached out to support and got basically an “Oh well, start again. Must have been something you did.” Now the app freezes up all the time and I’m done. I moved on to a different app - that also has a cheaper subscription per year if I decide to go that route.

My Apple app stepper.. I really like the application is very nice however I want to tell you right from the start the advertising in the bottom is enough to make me go crazy I cannot stand all of this advertising and it’s things that I will never use never I like the application as it is to do what I need to do for my health for my health benefit outside of that I don’t want advertising on it I wish there was someway to remove it the application itself is wonderful and I will continue to use it. In addition, a lot of the devices on the application, do not operate properly they do not give you the proper diagnosis as far as your steps are concerned, and it actually makes you do things again and again, because it is not keeping a proper balance for as often as it is updated, it should not but it does it should be fixed and I don’t know how to get it fixed. If you have any ideas, please notify me.

Awesome, but would love one more option. UPDATE as of 4/4. I have gone 45 days without missing my goal. No rest days with that 45 days and another 25 ( with one rest day) and bc this my kids are in spring break, broke streak bc I didn’t didn’t hit goal 2 out three days.) I am a stay at home and I run 5-8 miles a day. I try to keep my phone in pocket at all times. I don’t, but if I did was easily put in at least 20,000 steps per day. I like the rest day option, but if I take two days off after being consistent for 20+ days my streak is broken. Would also love to have a sick day button. I’ll have an amazing streak and if I get sick, I obviously don’t get all my steps in. One time I tried to get at least 10,000 steps in with the flu and that was a big mistake. My bad decision though. A sick button would be great and also, if the app could identify a very active person and if that person misses two days in a row after making daily goal and then some for at least 20 days, the streak would not be broken. I’d pay $10 a month ( maybe more) for this app if had more options as mentioned.

great app!. i love that i can transfer my data from here to other fitness activities tracker devices or apps- i love that i don’t have to ask it to track my movements once activated- with this app & my amazing service dog/ i was able to walk over 1,000 miles & lose 40 pounds during covid 19 lockdowns - it’s the best app of its kind i have ever used- including a couple that were not even close to free- i will joyfully tip the apps creators & those who maintain/update/upgrade it and also tell people about it every chance i get because i never want to be without it. thank you for this great (truly) FREE app! i believe it will prolong my life as it helped me get & stay healthy while a lot of my friends were getting sicker- (and it wasn’t from the virus!!! )- awesome app!

Awesome motivator!. I love several things about this app. First of all, unlike some of these apps here, THIS one is actually a reasonable cost. 2 bucks to remove ads, and you can tip further if you’d like. The apps that want to charge you 30-60 bucks PER YEAR is insane in my opinion. I’d rather support these devs because they are not asking for an outrageous amount! Secondly, it does what it says and does it well. I can track any number of exercise options, listen to music, be awarded for my efforts, keep track of routes taken, look at my history, AND export to another phone or computer. And it does all that without blocking any part of it for not going with “premium” like a lot of these other devs. I will keep tipping these guys for a good app that is polite and not usurious and ignore all the “premium” thieves on the AppStore. My advice is to support excellence in development and character by downloading and tipping these people!

OMG THIS IS THE BEST, MOST MOTIVATING, MOST HELPFUL APP!. I absolutely love this app. I have been using it for years and years, and I have never once experienced any problems or dissatisfaction. I am super busy all the time, and I generally can’t waste my time reviewing apps and such, but this app really sends me. I have lost over 72 pounds in one year, thanks largely to this app. I should tell you that I also have apple watches, and I wear one of them Every. Single. Day. Which really helps me get the most out of this app! It’s always clocking my steps and has superb graphs and info about your step goals and steps achieved, flights climbed (as in stairs), and also logs your distance (every day!) There are multiple options for which units of measurement you’d like to use, and you set your own step goals (or distance etc). Really love this app, great work to its creator(s)!!!

Works but needs improvement. I have had this app for a while. It works fine, let’s get that out of the way because I am not saying it doesn’t. I found it wasn’t very accurate, especially if my phone was in a jacket pocket or in my hand. I guess it is reasonable because in for example the back pocket of your jeans, the motion sensors would sense every time you moved your leg, rather than it being in your hand or jacket pocket. I like how customizable it is, and the fact that it has achievements, but I think the achievement requirements are a bit too high, and I get it, they are meant to be but they seem a bit too ambitious, for myself at least. Other than those two *minor* issues, great app! Would recommend to any friends or family! Also love all the features and how it is free and you have the option to donate. Great idea, great app!

Disappearing Steps. Where do they go? Heavens knows! It’s clear that the developer has a keen artistic eye as Pedometer++ has the most aesthetically pleasing and easy to use UI than any other Pedometer App out there and I love and constantly use the widget functionality for quick measuring glances. I’ve had this app for nearly 3 years now and as a person who routinely reaches 10k+ steps from morning gym sessions alone, there is one glitch/flaw that has never ceased to plaque the apps flawless functionality from the get go: steps go missing out of no where or are flat out, not counted. Just in the passed 2 weeks, there are 4 days where the app has seemingly caused a significant number of my steps to vanish into thin air EVEN AFTER THEY WERE COUNTED IN THE APP; even verified by cross referencing to Apple’s Health app that will often show a higher number. Nearly 10k steps have seemingly bestowed upon me the absolute pleasure of ghosting my counter and this has been a consistent problem for the app since day 1. The only reason I don’t flat out delete the app out of frustration some days is simply because the UI is absolutely gorgeous and I don’t think any other apps on the market measure up to the beautifully simplistic design. Please do something about the consistent step counter glitch; it proves to be a demoralizing frustration more days than you would think

Watch gets frozen on 0 after midnight about 50% of the time.. Seriously loved this app for my watch at first. After transitioning from a Garmin with the step counter, it was just what I needed to complement the ActivityTracker. However, I keep weird hours, and I am also a run streaker, who often has to do my daily run right at midnight. It’s incredibly frustrating when my watch is frozen at zero day in and day out, and I have to reset it to her three times, and put it on the charger 2 or 3 times before it will finally start counting steps. The steps DO count on the app phone, even if my phone is still, so obviously the app on the watch is tracking the steps, but it will not show up on the watch, where I need it to show up. Currently, my watch shows me to be at less than 500 steps, but my phone shows that I’m closer to 3000. I was wearing the watch while I ran on my treadmill at midnight, but the phone was sitting still on the treadmill. That means that I’m still dependent on my phone to know how many steps I’ve taken, which is pointless. That’s a discrepancy that will not work for somebody who manages statistics the way I do. The entire reason that I have the watch is so that I don’t need to carry my phone. If this can be fixed, I will change my rating to 5- stars.

Missing steps/ mysterious floors added. The app started out great. It wasn’t until my daughter got it also that I realized that it was not counting steps properly. It keeps saying that I have less steps than her yet I’m up hours before and hours after she goes to bed and I do all kinds of work and walking compared to her. That makes no sense. Then a few days ago I had 6400 some odd steps, I went to Walmart and walked around there for an hour because of the heat, when I came out it told me I had 6102 steps. There’s no way it should’ve been well over 7000 steps. It also tells my daughter that she’s went up however many flights of stairs each day, when she is with me all day and has not went up a single flight of stairs. I don’t know what is going on with the app. I understand it’s free and I appreciate that, but in order to get the correct amount of what’s going on I would hate to have to use a different app and I’m not able to use a different app in order to pay. I don’t know if this has come to your attention before. Like to thank your app designers and workers for doing a great job, and hopefully they will be able to fix this issue. Thank you.

I Owe a lot to this App!!. I did not think this was possible. I had a stroke a few years back at a very young age and was too embarrassed for people to know I was physically challenged. It took me three years to learn to walk again in a way that didn’t look like I had a disability, but I was very slow. (I realize that the way I looked was the least of my problems but as a single mom with two teenaged children, they were more sensitive than I was). But, this App motivated me to walk whether I felt like it or not. Even though I hated walking for the first four months I did it. It was painful. At the fifth month mark, it started to feel good and even now some days I only take 200 steps and other days I take 3,000 steps. Point is, I am walking and I know I wouldn’t be without this App. Thank you. Sincerely , Lyn Legge.

Useful, Simple, and easy to use.. I use this App on my iPhone. I take my phone with me everywhere, except for in the house. This app calculates steps and distance as long as you have your phone on you. Setup: First, you measure your stride. Which makes sense for accuracy. Easy set up as to how tall you are, distance of your stride, your goal per day, male or female. After your walk or at the end of day, you can see how many steps you walked, the conversion to miles, and a colorful bar graph that shows each day's data present and past. Colors indicate achievement of goal. There is no need to go into the app at the beginning of your walk and start it. I find this to be useful. As I said, simple and easy to use as well as being very useful.

Very good step counter. I was pretty excited to see a good app and not just some app that you have to pay 10$ for and not even get all the stuff and it’s not like there’s huge ads in fount of you. They only allow little tiny ads at the top or the bottom screen which is not blocking nothing most times it’s the bottom and the settings are well too. You can change the app logo colors and change between miles and kilometers also you can change your daily step goal which mine is 8,500 but I think you can go up to 15,000 if you can even make it there LOL but give it a try you might just like I liked it so much I took the time out of my day. To Write this whole paragraph hopefully you find it useful in your daily life but if you really don’t want to download this app then use your health app on your Home Screen it comes with just about every iPhone 10/10 recommend this app to y’all.

Streak of a year lost & support doesn’t care. At the beginning of me using this app I was fairly excited. It has rewards and gives me a Apple Watch app that motivates and keeps me on track. But after a while I noticed that some days didn’t quite have as many steps recorded as Apple Health shows. Sometimes it helped to have the app resynchronize with Apple Health but sometimes it didn’t. I learned to live with it, but not anymore. I set myself the goal of 7,500 steps every day and I almost managed to record a one year streak... and I kinda did, coz Apple Health shows that I did, but pedometer++ does not. According to the app, I lost my streak almost two months ago. But this is not true. And so I contacted the support. At first they gave me some basic instructions of resetting the Apple health sync. Which I did, but It didn’t help. Then they said they somehow misunderstood me and they can’t help me. I tried to explain my problem more in detail and asked if there is a work around, but I never got an answer anymore. I tried it again a week later. But crickets. Soo, the app is nice to have when it works. But it not always does and when it doesn’t, the support won’t help. Just be warned.

Fantastic app but?. I love this app, I personally think this is the best app of this type on the App Store. However, if the developers are reading this, I just purchased a new iPhone 11 pro max and a new Apple Watch. The app shows up properly on my iPhone along with all data up to the changeover date. The Apple Watch app is working properly on the watch. The watch is paired with the phone and every other app I have works properly, even my Apple activity app works properly with both, so I know the watch and phone are communicating. I don’t know what else to do, or if there is some other issue. I have a long walk streak going ( over 400 days) and I hate to have that lost. I had lost nearly 100 lbs during that time and that walk streak is what kept driving me. Sure hope you can help me get it going again.

Simple and intrinsically rewarding. I love this pedometer, I downloaded it after seeing it recommended on the Health app on my iPhone and immediately was loved the barebone layout–the app is exactly as advertised, no fancy (confusing) bells or whistles and the best part - no constant spam trying to get you to download or spend money on the app or anything else. I love that you set your daily goal and can earn badges for going above and beyond your goal, monthly challenges, special streak challenges and lifetime step and floor goals to work towards and it’s completely autonomous (!!!) so refreshing especially if your just getting active again or like myself devote your physical fitness and working out to making yourself feel good - not to share your weekly stats with friends/co-workers or family like so many other apps these days. Hitting my goals gives me a sense of satisfaction and this app have helped me reach them in a healthy way–the only thing I would love added is a breakdown by day to see how much you walked by hour but yeah download this app more than work it - thank you pedometer++ team!!! :) P.S. if you go into settings you can see how much you’ve walked since getting the app in terms of marathons, Ironman etc. which is also a cool thing worth checking out that i’m sure many people miss!

Not accurate-esp w/ longer distance. I’ve been using this app for about 85 days now. When I first started, I was walking short distances ( 1 to 1.5 miles at a time) and it seemed pretty accurate and matched up with my treadmill pretty well +/- .1 miles. Now that I’m up to longer distances, it’s wildly inaccurate. Yesterday, I did 6.5 miles on my treadmill alone, yet it gives my daily total as 6.2 miles. Already today, I did a 3 mile treadmill session yet it says I’ve done 2.8 miles total. And it’s not just the distance—it’s the steps. My standard, tested and counted mile is 2100 steps. Yesterday, after three miles on the treadmill, I expected to see approx 6300 steps, but it was at 4500. I get a more accurate reading if I pause the treadmill every mile and open the app, but that’s annoying. It also fails to clock some of my flights of stairs. I wear my phone in the same spot as I always have while walking around so I don’t understand why the sudden discrepancy. I suppose if you’re just using it to clock your daily steps at home / work / shopping, it’s pretty good, but it if you’re also running or walking for exercise, your step count will show up greatly under your actual total.

Simplified. This app is simple simpleton. Most apps are o elaborate. Colors, graphic art, music, link after links to other websites and features upon feature upon feature. This app is not over filled with more stuff then needed. And it free!! Thank you for not creating this app like al the others! Thank you for being different and making it easier to navigate especially for the computer cell phone laptop tablet smart watch smart tv illiterate older generations. And for those who refuse to watch life go by holding a digital screen to their face looking at posts about sunsets instead of looking up going outside to watc h the sunset 4 stars because the app needs one thing only to make it perfect a map of where we walked and how many steps counted from point A to point B. Ability to manually select which is point A and a point B, C, D , etc..

Thanks for the motivation!. I am now pretty active. That was not the case in the past. I’ve lost 55 pounds the last three years. I work out a few days a week and that is how I started losing the weight. I found this app a year ago and it has helped me to shed the last 20. It has helped me to stay accountable for my health and well being. Instead of sitting on the couch on my days off. I go for a walk, even if it’s for just a few blocks. I park farther from the store now. I do my shopping by my list from top to bottom instead of what is closer and I walk more at the store. At work instead of sitting for a break, I walk around the parking lot or building a few times. All this adds up through the day. If I’m close to my goal. I just take a few minutes to make sure I get there. Thank you for helping me get healthy!

GREAT!. I completely love this app! It syncs so very well with my phone and I love that you can add your settings for your height accordingly. My only issue it that the “stairs climbed” is absolutely never accurate. I run up and down my stairs all darn day long and sometimes at the end of the day my app tells me I’ve walked “0 flights”. I am hoping for a way to correct this being the I am continually going from my basement laundry room, to our wood shop, back up two flights to the kitchen, upstairs to the office, back downstairs to the printer, back upstairs to clean/get my son’s laundry/etc, back down two flights to my “satellite office… Not to mention all of the running around from after school activities such as karate, soccer, volleyball, basketball…and still being a wife, mom, and child of God. But I digress. This app IS awesome. I like the challenges and the goals (albeit some are unrealistic for working parents; or even stay-at-home parents) but I know with my kiddos I’ll never touch some of them. Keep working on this app ya’ll. Is IS super great. It just needs more! More to work for. Thank you!!

Works really well!. I share my Pedometer results with my friends and family, daily, and take delight in them rolling their eyes and groaning with disinterest. The application does an amazing job at counting my steps and translating them to floors and miles, which helps me drag-out the conversation long after they've repeatedly informed me they have no interest nor desire to hear about it. Frequently, I'll even stop strangers on the street corner to show them when I've met my 10,000 step daily goal and remark "the rest of my day is just bonus, really." What's even better is I've also recently learned that the bottom of the settings screen also translates my cumulative steps to triathlons, so I now have something else to proudly annoy others with. Take that, crossfitters!

VERY GOOD APP. This free app is so good, I left a $1.99 tip. (Tip jar feature for voluntary support) This is one of the few apps that accurately tracks your steps moment by moment, without the need of a fit bit, Apple Watch, or other external device. It links to your Apple Health data and keeps a record of steps over time and applies that to step goals you set for your fitness level. Positive feedback in “achievements” is given when step goals are hit and the streak feature makes it fun to push for consistency. Most people can achieve their desired fitness levels by a proper low sugar diet, spread out in much smaller portions, eating every two hours or so, along with 10,000 steps per day. Get in the habit of 4,000 steps before breakfast and change your life. This app is perfect to track it!

iPhone app is great, the ipad version, not so much. iPhone app is great, works well, the ipad version, not so much. I’ve opened up many privacy screens to accommodate as much access as possible to both devices as well as the health, pedometer, and maps apps. And synced each to the other… allegedly. But the ipad version is only showing half the distance of the iPhone version, that I was wearing in my pocket. Same with the health app. It shares virtually all info, until it glitches and the numbers are completely different. Since it’s easier to read/work with the ipad version, it would be awesome if they would sync to each other. Anything you can do to make that happen? TIA for any effort! Edit: The ipad app opens on the steps page, but won’t show steps. It says that the motion & fitness setting needs to be turned on, but the motion & fitness setting IS on in settings, and I’ve double checked the system settings, too. I’ve closed the pedometer app and turned off the ipad completely. When I turn it back on and open the pedometer app, the steps page still comes up, and says the motion & fitness app needs to be turned on.

Review of Pedometer oh yay. I should like a bit more time with the app before grading its veracity as I have only now discovered it. If it continues to do the job it has done for the last three weeks, I will conclude that it is a useful tool for my health and stability ... If I have a myocardial infarction, well, we will cross that bridge if it is inescapable! Cheers! I have no idea how long ago I wrote that; however, it has been quite a bit longer than three weeks… Perhaps over a year. I have a debilitating pain disease called CRPS Type II after multiple operations and God saving my life several times! This pedometer has helped keep me on my feet and chasing my goals. Though I had a stroke I still need to walk. I would like to get back to 1 mile per day but I would like to do that walking and not lying in the back of an ambulance! So I continue my trek … thank you very much as I believe this to be an accurate tool in my quest.

Great App with one flaw. …or I’m missing a setting…I’ve been using this pedometer app since the iPhone 6 and like it very much with Apple Health. I’ve put 4800 miles on it. The developer has added features. Works great paired with Apple Watch. Shows me my heart rate, elevation and mileage. But for some reason, it almost never tracks flights of stairs climbed. I live on a steep hill that leaves most people gasping, and there are two half-flights to the front door. Most days I go up and down those stairs several times, down to the street and back up. There’s a very steep incline on my regular walking route. Most days my results show 0 flights. Occasionally I get credit for one or two, but it’s never as many as I actually climb. That’s my one complaint. Otherwise, this is a terrific, motivating app. Recommended, and the Watch version is even better.

PEDOMETER ++ is EXCELLENT!!. I have used Pedometer ++ for over 4.5 million steps. Over the years I have used several pedometer apps but, this is the absolute best. I especially like the day off option. Pedometer ++ allows me to take a day off every week without breaking my streak. Since I am 71 years old and have a daily goal of 13,000 steps that day off means a lot. I also like the monthly goals. Every month brings a new challenge that keeps me engaged and motivated. The only change I would recommend is to be able to graph my steps by week and month. Other than that minor complaint, I could not be happier. I strongly encourage anyone looking for a pedometer app to look no further and to download Pedometer ++.

Diabetes control. I am an 84-year-old male, 50 years or so as a non-insulin dependent diabetic. I can’t walk very far u aided to back problems. I try and control my A1c with medication, food choices and exercise. I do exercises in my easy chair daily, in fact, hourly. I do kicks stiff legged leg waves from the hip and bicycle pedals. I try and do 5000 movements a day and sometimes do more. They have become Rote and sometimes I do them Without thinking. my A1c is 6.9 and my weight is less than it was when I entered the military in 1957. The rest of my blood work is excellent. There is no downside to these exercises. No equipment is necessary and you can do them when Playing games or watching TV or even reading. I wrap a tea towel around my leg above the knee. And slip my iPhone under it and it automatically records my movements. I hope this will help someone who is struggling.

I love this app!. I love this app so much! It links with my Apple Watch great, which then links with my StepBet app. It is super accurate and I love that it has a little wiget on my apple watch for it too so I can see my number of step in the corner of my display screen along side all my other stuff on my Apple Watch display like the time and date and activity log etc. I just have one request that would make it perfect. Can you guys make it so you can set the day of the week that you consider your beginning of a new week? Because like my new week with my other weight loss programs begins on Saturday but your guys app clocks the goal starting from Sunday so it doesn’t exactly line up like I would like it too. Other then that, it’s a great app and I highly recommend!!!

Things I would like to see. Great app, works all the time, and has never failed to keep accurate data. I like the idea that I can export the data and do some calculations on a spreadsheet by myself. Here are a few other things that I would like to see in the app, both running and walking. Personal best section that’s always visible in the stat section or perhaps even on the main page so it can be seen easily at a glance. Some of those that I would suggest would be. Personal best for day week month and year for number of steps, number of miles, Number of flights of stairs. In the section where you have total number of miles and relate that to number of trips from New York to Los Angeles you could also keep a running stat on progress around the world at the equator or some other goal that is not easy to achieve but would be interesting to try to perhaps circumvent the United States etc. I have more ideas but I’ll keep it short. My last suggestion would be in the tip section. Today I wanted to give a tip but it was limited to $1.99 and I wanted to give more but I did not see a way to change the entry. That should be fixed first.

Still a bit buggy on step counts. This is generally good; I like the different levels and goals. My main issue is that there continue to be incorrect or inaccurate step counts from in between the iPhone widget to the app itself, even though we were told a few updates ago that this was corrected. For me this happens at least once per week and I don’t know why. According to my widget my step count will be, let’s say, 1000 steps, but if I open the app to look at my steps the app will revert my step count to being 873. I’ve had more than 150 steps removed from my count in one opening of the app. I’m disabled. I can’t walk very much or very far so every step I can get is crucial to me. Somehow, the three step counters I have on my device (including this one) are all synched together. I don’t know which is driving which, I just know I’d like an accurate accounting of my steps.

I mostly love this app. Hi. I would really probably say 4.5. I haven’t been using this for that long, at least not consistently. However, when I realized it was available and doing its thing behind the scenes, I got excited about it. I bought an Apple Watch because of it. I liked what it did on my phone and wanted it to work when I do things without my phone in my hand or pocket, like walk/run on the treadmill or take a dance class or whatever. I wish there was more of an indication of the pace or periods when activity was higher, and an estimation of the calories burned. If I do a walking route I wish I could start and stop it just as a marker not literally stop and start—kind of like a stop watch. That would be helpful. Thank you! This is definitely helping me to feel encouraged. My dog loves that I take him to a huge off leash park or hiking and we go for a long while. It’s great for both of us and this app helps. Thanks, again.

It’s nice, but needs a Mon-Sun weekly step count.. It’s a nice app, but it needs one feature to actually be useful to me(and many others I bet!). The following is why it needs a Monday through Sunday step count. It’s hard to hit 10,000 steps every day, but by Sunday I want to have 70,000 steps completed. I think a lot of people are like me and would really like this feature. Some apps will start the week on Sunday and end it on Saturday, I think this is nuts. Most people in America consider the weekend to actually be the end of the week(go figure, right?!). That is to say the week ends on Sunday. I think that a lot of walkers try to get 70,000 steps in by Sunday(they use the extra leisure time provided by the weekend to catch up on steps). So please give us a Monday through Sunday step count. I would say that most pedometer apps don’t do this, and you can set your app apart by doing it. Thanks for a nice app, and I hope you will consider adding this feature.

Mileage is very inaccurate. I’ve been using the app for over 2mos, helping to motivate me to walk 4+ miles and over 10,000 steps at least 6 days/wk. So that’s the good part and why I gave it a 2 stars. But I’m disappointed because it’s very inaccurate, at least when it comes to mileage. My husband and I were on a walk recently, I asked him how far we walked. His Apple Watch recorded just over 5mi (he started with 0mi) but on my iPhone with this app, I had just over 4mi (I started with .2 mi that day). We’re on the exact same walk. I didn’t understand how I could have 20% less mileage. I later mapped our route and it was 5 miles. Today is the same thing, except we’re on a 4 mile route. This app on my iPhone said I’ve done 3.3 (I started with .3) but my husband’s Apple Watch had 4mi. So this time, I’ve got 25% less mileage, even more inaccurate. Now, I’m questioning if the step counter or stairs on the app are accurate. At least it isn’t over counting but I don’t understand how can this app performs so poorly?

For everyone, especially seniors. I gave this app five stars because it and similar apps perform the critical function of keeping people aware of exercise to augment proper diet...both of which can and do contribute to good health and longer life! In other words, you either move or die. I am forever grateful for learning this as a young physician. My preferred form of exercise was once long distance running. But because I developed the bad habit of doing only right PLFs (parachute landing falls), I ended up needing a right hip replacement. And on one of my early jumps, I cracked the end of my left femur; so, I am now on the mend from a knee replacement. Now, a little over 2 months out, I am back up to walking 2-5 miles three or four times a week. There is still some minor pain, but every good PT or orthopedist will remind you “motion is lotion”! Even if walking isn’t your thing, get out there and just do something strenuous 3-4 x per week. Good Health to you all, Dr. Marshall Dressel, COL, USA (Retired)

Very Helpful. I usually climb 2-4 flights of steps and walk 2-4 miles a day since I got my knee replaced as part of my physical therapy. That is why I find this program so helpful. I wrote to you before when the program was having problems counting flights of wooden steps climbed. As it turned out, the program required 16 steps per flight and I had 14 per flight. I resolved this by walking two more steps per flight. We have since moved to a much newer building with reinforced concrete stairwells and 16 steel steps per flight. Now this app has problems counting flights - as if it cannot read the signals through all the concrete and steel. Any Ideas? Finally, can you provide me an address to which I can send a check rather than my Apple ID? Thank you, Roger Girard

New premium features. I’ve been using the app for years and was happy to see the redesigned interface. I also started the free trial today for the new premium features. My initial opinion is that the iPhone version is exceptional but the Apple Watch version needs some work. I take daily brisk walks which are exactly three miles from start to finish. The iPhone app showed I walked three miles at a speed of 3.5mph which is typical for me. When I started my walk, I also started Apple Watch version and ended up with very different results. It showed I walked a total of 2.4 miles at a speed of 2.4mph which is no doubt wrong. But the cost of the premium subscription is very reasonable so I intend to keep it and support the developer going forward.

THANK YOU!. Just want you to how grateful I am by using your app it has kept me on point moving in the right direction and I know for 2019 I’m going to be even more motivated I just want to thank you for the app it’s been a rough year in 2018 losing family members mostly from unhealthy lifestyles but I’m getting through it promising to make changes in my way of life to not leave an unhealthy legacy. keeping my mind active and motivated and exercising with help of your app is really helping me stay on track and to be committed I just want to thank you. I’ve already racked up over 950,000 steps, for 2018 did my first 33,000 in one day, and I’m in my 76 day of completing my 90 day challenge and this is just after having knee replacement surgery in June. Thank you and have a wonderful new year. I’m loving the addition of the monthly challenge. Sincerely, Baadja-Lyne Odums

New discoveries. Each day I go on my big walk I vary the direction. Then I begin to notice more with every step. The light, the sky, the birds, the signs and sights. The pedometer is not the main reason I walk, but it does give me a buzz when I surpass my target and the green line explodes.

Nice app, does what it says for steps. Really like the simplicity for step counting and tracking against a goal. One issue (and I’d have emailed devs except the email button is inactive) is that it seems to massively over-count or randomise counting of ‘floors’. I live in a pretty flat area and in the same walk across two days it will show 10 floors and on the next day 157 floors! I am not interested in the floors measurement anyway but it’s very strange. I have also noticed some counting of steps while I’m sitting.

Fantastic App. This app has been fantastic, a quick way to see my steps on my Apple Watch. Furthermore, the intelligent merging of steps is quite clever, and after reading an article on how it works, I can see it is a lot more accurate. I contacted support to ask for more info on the merging of steps (they passed on the article mentioned above), and they replied in less than 3 minutes!!

Massively Motivating. I’m 85 and sit around far to much. The goal of 10,000 steps per day is totally out of the question but discovering it’s possible to reduce the goal to just 1000 spurred me into action and I’ve plans to increase the level slowly and sensibly. I’ve invested in a reasonably priced treadmill but had to download 14 pages of instructions, which is daunting reading, so no joy there at present but someone will assist me with that - hopefully and then my daily goals will increase!!!

Perfectly simple. Love this app - have been using it for years. It’s simple, does what it says on the box, and is always updated. I’d just love a step count Lock Screen widget that’s within a circle too; all of my other Lock Screen widgets are within circles, and this one doesn’t quite fit in nicely :(

Doesn’t always sync with my watch.. Overall a good simple App. Would be nice if I had more colour options to choose from though. Sometimes if I don’t manually check app on my iWatch, it doesn’t update the day on the phone App. I had 2 days at the weekend when I was walking around most of the day but didn’t reach my goal step number because I didn’t manually check to update it. Disappointed because I lost my streak yet again.

Has always been excellent, but with watch OS10.... Was always perfect, but since the launch of watch OS10, my watch face complications for this app don't seem to work anymore. That's my only negative to say. Hopefully this issue is fixed soon. I've tried power-cycling my watch and also in-installing the app on my watch, then reinstalling it. No luck.

Great app-on track. Useful information regarding my fitness. I felt sluggish and low. Thought walking would help. With this app I try to do a minimum of 10k steps per day and now I challenge myself to do more. I feel so much better. Stronger and my mood is better. Positive. Yes.

Awesome app!. Coming from Fitbit where I love to track my 10k steps (I know apple prefers rings) to Apple Watch and this app is awesome! Is it possible to get a haptic feedback or push notification when I reach my 10k step goal? That would make this app perfect! Thank you!

Straightforward Information. I really like this app as it does the important things really well…it shows how me far I have walked, how today’s results compare to my daily goal and the overall trend. If i get these three right, the rest will take care of itself.

Love This App. Could not recommend this app more. I’ve found it to be incredibly accurate and super convenient. I never have to think about putting a watch on or clipping on a little pedometer, I’ve always naturally already got my phone with me and this works in the background even without the app being opened. Very easy to understand app, everything is clearly labelled and even colour coded. It has easily customised features to align with your own personal goal rather than a standardised one. What I love most is the little celebratory animation once you open it on a day that you’ve reached your step count.

Same step different distance.. My wife and I both have the Pedometer and we have been covering about the same distance over the last week as we are on holidays. For the same number of steps she is showing significantly more kilometers, more than 10%, yet we are doing pretty much the same distance. Our settings are the same. Please explain.

Great app. Straight forward and easy to use and motivates me to keep up the distance each day:week. Allows me to walk tracks and not worry about walking g any particular way to make up the kms as I can walk which ever way I enjoy most on a track and glance at my pedometer to measure than worry about completing a particular track as such.

Motivating. I'm aware that it's just a simple arbitrary thing based on little more than an algorithm, but I find the monthly challenges enormously motivating. I definitely walk more often and further than I otherwise would because of this app. The app has a great widget which makes it easy to use too. Highly recommended.

If 2 things are added it would get 5 stars. I really like the app however, what would improve it immensely would be the following: 1) Once the day is over it’s not possible to view the previous day’s stats such as kilometres or floors unlike Fitbit. 2) My active day ends at about 2 a.m. yet at midnight everything resorts to zero steps once more. Why can’t we have flexible hours? Lots of us are still walking about after midnight - very disappointing that it’s so inflexible.

Fantastic. This is such a great app and I love having the widget and the little badges. I really like having a streak but I wish there was a pause button if you’re out with an injury but want to keep your streak! It sounds a little silly but for me having it keeps me motivated!

Best app. Simplest way to stay fit Last 2 years I have been using the app and my weight has stayed consistent which otherwise would have gone up .. the special goals that are given each month are great to keep motivation up but this year in 2023 it has not been active .. how can we get those cheeky mouthy rewards based goals to get medals

Pedometer ++. App has been very useful for developing individual ‘s competitive strength. It supports to strengthen the mental ability to achieve the set goals and to intensify further. The various awards are very helpful to get you going for improvement on every aspects like streaks/ miles or Kilometres/ steps / flights and special achievements. Good help. Please keep me updated with further developments.

My beginning to restore my mind and my health. I found the app most helpful but I don’t understand how I had less steps than two days ago as I did the exact same walk. Just curios. I’m glad I have something that can record my steps but I’m sure there’s a lot more but I do not carry my phone everywhere however, it’s a beaut start!🌹

Better than disco dancing. This app is one of the reasons I have lost 43 kilos over the last 14 months. This and a healthy diet has helped. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to know how far and how often they walk and with assistance from a program like My Fitness Pal they can also measure the health benefits. And remember this is lower impact exercise which is better for you than disco dancing!!!

Works perfectly for me. As a young adult who doesn’t do any exercise this app is perfect for me. It counts steps more accurately than the health app as well as floors and the achievement system is perfect! Very easy to use as well. Just a few minor complaints to be aware of: - if you make your step goal higher you may lose a long streak if one of the days is lower than your new goal, as your old data is compared against the new goal rather than the original step goal. - wish I could have two rest days/ customisation on the rest days as well. Overall I am very happy with this app and will continue to use it. - A satisfied customer

Responsive support / useful export facility. I didn’t understand why my steps were at odds with those in other apps. I emailed and got a very fast and helpful response that not only gave me a simple fix, it provided an article explaining how the different sources are reconciled. I also find the capacity to export data to a spreadsheet, where I can edit and analyse it further, really useful.

Excellent Tool for Health Tracking. I’ve been using Pedometer for over almost 2 years and it’s gotten me more motivated to track my steps and overall health. I like the trophies and the progression stages that they come in. It’s definitely challenging but possible with hard work.

Cool pedometer. Steps counter is working really good, auto pause and auto resume pretty cool. The one thing I like about can edit counts is can adjust steps from Samsung watch steps into this pedometer as the same balance steps because some time I am not carrying the phone. Thank you developers of this software 👍🏻

So far - not impressed. 🤔🙄. I’ve been using other Apps (and Apple Watch) for months…. This App seems to have imported “some” of my history data, for instance, I’ve done about 320 kilometres so far for July but it has only imported 170 kilometres???? 🤔🙄 It also seems to sync DOME of the steps in Apple Health…. For instance, today is Wednesday, the App appears to have lost 10,000 (each) or so steps for Sunday and Monday…. Pacer Pedometer also lost this data but now appears to have “found” it okay!? August 31 and September 1 step counts do not agree with Apple Fitness 10K to 18K and 18K to 24K I just looked back at this and compared….

Easy pedometer. Wonderful for this 75+ yr old woman. Not complicated. Nice graphs showing my activity. The only thing I might like to add are short comments, like weather, how I am feeling today and notes to help me remember anything special. All of which I should be putting in my diary, and will, starting today. Also, I would love to know when I have walked the equivalent of any location in some interesting place, like Great Britain or Australia, or anywhere from town to town or city to city’

Motivation. I have used this App for over four years. It lives up to its designers purpose and has encouraged me to walk over 40 million steps. When I have had a question it has been answered promptly. Use it with confidence. Graham P.

stellar. App is simple to use and attractive. Compatibility with iPhone widget system is incredible. The use of colour changes when reaching or nearing goals is quite encouraging/motivating, with the confetti after reaching the goal adding a game like effect. This was perfect for me as someone with ADHD. On top of this, customer service (who I only needed to interact with to query if you could change your pedometer steps manually) was prompt and polite! This is not often/not ever seen with apps so I was impressed.

Was working great until app update 10.2. Please fix the display of the steps for software update 10.2. The steps are no longer displaying on any of the watch faces. It was working so well and I could see my steps. Now the space it was is showing blank. Please fix!

I understand subscriptions. With the latest 5.0 update there is now an updated workout mode locked behind a subscription. Subscriptions are fine, I totally get app developers wanting steady income, but there really should be a way to allow us to turn off the workout tab since without the subscription it makes the screen look messy.

Its ok. This is one of those apps that wouldve been like $5 to buy back in the days before subscriptions existed. I can’t stand that. Its a good app, and you can definitely get by with the free version, but for those who want a little more the cost is outrageous. And I might feel better wearing it if it at least gave us more options. Why am i not able to adjust the time periods? When I’m working a night shift (at the moment I’m working 4 on 4 off- two day shifts and two night shifts) which means i have to add and divide my last three readings into two to get my actual step count. Pure laziness on their part. Disappointing for what they want to charge for premium. Like changing the icon to some ghost-man is soooo cool (not) but jfc, give me some ACTUAL UTILITY!

Your app. I haven’t had s problem with it. Until I Tried updating it and that wouldn’t work so I uninstalled it. The only problem with that is I lost all my data considering I had over 8 million steps and about 5 thousand kilometres on it as I carry my phone with me. I work in s hospital and walk a lot on a shift, do you can understand my disappointment. But I suppose when you don’t pay for it then you can’t complain

Good update. Latest complications for Apple Watch are very useful. In general the whole app is excellent and offered at a very reasonable cost. Sometimes it picks up a few hundred steps for no apparent reason, but no other step-counting app comes without similar problems.

PLS READ YOU NEVER KNOW THIS COULD CHANGE UR LIFE. Heyyyy thanks for reading my comment I want you to know that you right now reading this u are Beautiful SO SO PRETTY and don’t let anyone say that ur not u have a great personality and ur face is beautiful someone out there loves pls take care of ur self u are a beautiful pretty great personality and have a good day ❤️❤️❤️

Useful app. I have been using Pedometer to be consistent with my walking. I can just start walking around town and then I can check if I’m on track to reach my goal. Easy to adjust the distance. Easy to read. Definitely motivational! An option to know how many calories I’ve burnt would be an ideal extra statistic.

Accurate+easy to use. Pedometer+ is very easy to use and super customisable, it’s the only app I’ve seen let you change the Home Screen icon. The app is also super accurate at your steps, and has awards for special things like daily step count streak and most steps in a day which encourages you to get out and be active, it’s helped me get my step count up so much and helps me a lot. Personally I think everyone with a mobile phone should download pedometer+ and use it every day. It has amazing results.

Flawed System.. I believe this is a flawed programme. I worked at home and according to to this I apparently did 7.9km and over 11,000 steps. Totally impossible when every other day I walk over a km to work and over a km back just getting to public transport?? That doesn’t include ALL the other walking in between. What ever you do do not wear your Apple watch whilst knitting. It counts the arm movement of working stitches as steps!

A Massive Let Down. [23-SEPT-2018] I downloaded this app yesterday and expected this app to match the description/story but it doesn’t, it’s quite disappointing. Although the app only looked basic and simple without much to do, I expected to get what was advertised. There’s no wheelchair option - which would help during the times when I’m using mine. While it counts steps, it cannot recognise the difference between floors - it hasn’t been able to tell from my house, and there’s quite a lot of split level houses that many consider to be floors/levels. I’m guessing that it only works on multilevelled buildings. I’ve given a 2 star rating because it apparently counted my steps but even then, I’m not sure how accurate it truly is. I downloaded this app because of it being featured and advertising features that many other apps don’t have. But without it, it’s just as bias as those apps - such as: taking advantage of the disabled with lies, not providing services for the disabled and so much more. The reason why I don’t use these types of apps or services is because they don’t think of people with disabilities and/or are willing to lie to them, to get them to use it. Shame on you Pedometer(++ appears for the title in the App Store only).

Love this app!. A very motivating app. It pushes me to do a bit more to achieve my fitness goal - I don’t like to leave it under my target for the day and have often gone for a quick top-up walk around the park in the evening just to see that green band! 😂 The graph is very quick to access and clear to read. Thank you!

I love this app!!!!. This is an amazing app! I love the simplicity of it, and how it tracks your steps and graphs them. The fact that I don’t have to pay is also a great feature. The widget for iPhone is great, as I can easily and quickly see how many steps i did that day! Would 100% recommend this app to anyone.

Good as a guide. I have found this a great guide however when you maintain your targeted steps in a different time zone (overseas) when you come back it can show you didn’t meet your target because it adjusts the steps to the current time zone you are in The app should once the day has finished should record the data as stand alone Trying to do the one year of meeting my target now I have lost 3 months of walking Hmmm :( Only beef I have though

Great App.. Being fairly overweight the Pedometer makes the user walk more to achieve better results each day. Since getting my IPhone and using this app. I have lost 25kg since last November and have not curtailed my diet in any way.

Hey guys !!!. I highly recommend this app as I had Sciatica in my left hip.. My doctor recommended using this app as he does . Well I have a new puppy 🐶 and we are doing well and my leg has pretty much been a lot better then b4 I started using this app.. It pushes me every day to beat my previous walks but atm me and my American bulldog x American staff are loving it .. Hope the developers can put some other things in to make us get out more like join with Facebook etc so friends and family can compete with each other... Thanks Luke.

Simple and perfect. This app simply does the thing. Easy interface, sensible variables. Very practical and no badgering with unnecessary gadgetry. I love it. If you really wanted to change something, interesting patterns to fill the columns would look cool, but it's great how it is, really. Well done and every success to your team 🙂

Training to hike. I recently discovered this app and I love it. It makes it easier for me to target a goal and to aim for that goal. If I am a good number of steps short, the app highlights this and so I can walk further to achieve my target; I love this little friendly app.

False-positives. Is it Apple’s Health app or this one that is making the occasional, but massive error on steps and distance? I’ve used this app for about a month, seeking better presentation of the data, especially for sharing on social media with my Bootcamp gang. Twice now, I’m certain, Pedometer reported passing my 10,000 step daily goal when all I could remember for that day was shuffling from the sofa to the fridge, and if I left the house it was munchies run to the shop.

Need more. I need to have more things to achieve. The reason I have the app are for challenges. Challenges that are achievable. Once I reach 1m steps the next tick of approval I get is at 5m. Too long and too hard. I need something to be reaching for on a regular basis. Competing against myself. Getting a congratulations sign. Patting myself on the back. Questioning why I have slowed down. I want to have more pies to fill. It is a Good start but has Much more it can achieve.

Just got it. This app has given me back my most used feature on a fitness watch, being able to set a step target. The app looks great, love the settings page. Paid the donation because it does what it says it does and was a breeze to get going. Thanks.

Adrienne. The Pedometer Ap is a visible depiction of exercise taken and m added advantage of mental encouragement to keep up or exceed the set target. Wholehearted agreement that it gives such an easy visual representation of one’s mobility - I recommend it to anybody who does not know it! And have continued to do so! I love the Pedometer and recommend it to anybody who does not know it. It would be good if one could leave a mark/ tick/icon so as to find a particular day when needed

Use every day. I have this app on my ph. As my ph goes everywhere with me, its a great record of my steps. I plan to check the app at 430 or 5 pm each day to see how much extra I have to do before nightfall. I like that i could change the goal down from 10k to my choice so that i can achieve what is for me a reasonable goal, working up towards 10k. I love the green confetti reward on achieving the daily goal. Catherine, Australia

Pedometer Review and suggestion. Relatively new user-would have given 31/2 stars. Finding it useful and prefer it to my previous wrist worn device except I would like the ability to add stair flights and counted steps when I have to recharge my device. Yes, I used to count steps with Astro counting clicker I still use

Where did the complication go?. Can’t see the distance and steps on my watch.. worked perfect before the upgrade.

Great app💕. Great app for motivation! Used on a daily basis to measure walks and helps you to do better every day

Inaccurate steps. I did 1.1km from walking back and forth to my kitchen a couple of times. Must think i have a big house... The steps are not accurate.

Parfaite pour connaître la distance quotidienne parcourue. J’aime beaucoup cette application toute simple qui me permet de voir rapidement la distance parcourue ou le nombre de pas faits chaque jour.

Exceptionally Helpful. The app is a perfect route to daily exercise to maintain a healthy life. I can’t do without it

I. Ikik gug

Has stopped syncing properly. This app started out strong for me, BUT it eventually stopped syncing my steps from my Apple Watch to my IPhone 11 properly. After 130 straight days of achieving my goal this app has not synced a single day properly and ultimately shattered my goal tracking.

Was working now it’s not. Suddenly the app is not logging my steps properly. Don’t know what happened

Calories Expended. I really like this App and use it daily to see how much I have walked. But I would really like if calories expended were added to the record?

can’t see steps and distance. Since last ios upgrade, i can’t see steps and distance on apple watch faces. Just black box, and i have to click on it to see something. thanks

Not accurately tracking my steps. I downloaded this app so I could see my steps on my Apple Watch. It was working great but now it is not syncing with my phone and my steps are incorrect compared to what is showing on my watch.

Keyasauni. Really user friendly

Step count. The step count is not accurate. I walk 4 miles, over 20,000 feet and this doesn’t even register 10,000 steps!!!

Makes me walk. Great tool to motivate

App consitantlt has wrong step and km walked data. From my math, both step AND distance are off by 1.53 times the actual amount moved according to the Apple health app. It’s been like this for several weeks, ever since I got the app. I don’t know why it’s ALWAYS consistently higher than what I actually walked. The app says 22,869 steps and 15.9km walked, however the data from the Apple Watch activity app says 14,901 steps and 10.36 km walked.

Love this!. Yes great maps great tracking blah blah blah. The best part is when you reach your goal you get a confetti party! So satisfying! Don’t judge-try it you’ll like it!

App Complication Broken. I have been using this app for several years to track my steps on my Apple Watch Series 6 but after the last iOS and Watch OS 10 update, the steps are no longer automatically syncing and updating on my watch complication. The app needs a serious bug fix right away.

Don’t leave home without my phone. My pooch and I go for a couple of walks a day. Having this app, helps me keep track of my fitness level. I’m a 58 year young male and my dog is 6.

Pedometer. I have gone 876 days using my step app. I am 71 but feel like I am in my 50’s. I will keep using pedometer until I cannot do 10000 steps a day. Then I might cut down to 5000 per day. Without this app I do not think I would be in the shape I am in. Thank you Pedometer for such a great app. Don

Works for me!. Thank you to the developer(s) of this app. It is so easy to use, colourful and a little fun ( for a pedometer). I have never been interested in counting steps before, but when my brother showed me this one he is using, I was hooked. Thank you for being a part of my health improvement strategies.

Great pedometer!. I am very pleased with this app, although I miss the old steps badge, the widget is a close replacement.

Review. This App is my motivator ! I love and use every day I walk ! I have shared my experience / motivation with my friends and family ... they also use your app . I thank you . Louise McLean

Five stars. Five stars

Prof. I found the pedometer here extremely useful for me as it told me how much walking I did on a given day. For example I discovered I was not doing according to my goal. So I increased my walking distance to achieve my goal! Thus I feel good!!

Well worth the money. I’ve had this app for quite a few years and bought the upgrade when it came out. Great for keeping track of my progress. Lots of data that’s useful for tracking my continued health at 74 years.

It’s a motivating app. For some reason, you feel like you’re in competition with yourself every day you want to achieve as much or more than the previous day

Crap. Does not work

Simply great. Minimalistic efficiency.

Génial. Pratique et facile d'accès!

36 miles per pound walking or running. This is the app to measure the pounds needed to keep from disappearing!!!! Keep from fading away , support this app.

Good show. This is the best app that I have on my iPhone for counting my miles on my now regular daily walk. I have been using it at my past job, and I will definitely be using it on my next job as a gas bar attendant throughout the next years to come. One issue that I had with this app is when I go snowmobiling it won’t count the miles ( generally it shouldn’t) , but for some strange reason it will measure how many flights of stairs I’ve climbed; kind of odd when I wasn’t even walking. Thanks for the free app, William Stern Jr.

The best…. Amazing, is very good and precise

Mr.. Serves my purpose.

Cumulatif. J'appréciais le cumulatif dans la version précédente Puis-je faire mon suivi autrement en incluent mes anciens performances Merci!

Pedometer ++. Love this app! It really keeps you motivated to meet your daily goal as you check it throughout the day.

Updated. I updated the app and now I can't use it. It won't open please Fix.

Great step tracking app!. This app gets right to the point and tracks your steps easily and consistently. The corresponding distance calculations also align wirhbrealitybvetveffectively.

Pedometer. Still missing map for tracking

The best app. Love every bit of this app. Ever since the last update this app hasn’t been the same. Any bug fixes would be great

Pedometer. This pedometer is not accurate,I have increased the distance I am walking each day for the last 3 days pedometer still reads 1.9 miles each day even though I am walking more the 3 miles

Cool App...doesn’t sync steps on Apple Watch face. Thank you for a cool app that allows me to see steps right from the face of my Apple Watch. Only thing is, the steps are not syncing in real-time. Once I open the app on my iPhone only the. Are the steps syncing. Pls help

Lost 5+ years of date, history, achievements..... After a regular recent update I lost 5+ years of date, history, achievements.... no response from support.

Great app. Great app

steps objective. without pedometer i can’t measure my performance vs objective set for me. pedometer improve my quality of life

Frozen at 0 on Apple Watch after last update. PLEASE FIX! I’ve been using the free app for a couple years and love it (5 stars) but all of a sudden it’s stuck at zero on Apple Watch face. When I went to iPhone to check watch apps, it’s circling as if trying to install but won’t. I see there was a version update same day this stopped working for me.

Gilles herboriste. Très bonne application simple et précise

Pretty accurate. Pretty accurate easy to use

Jo. After the last update my steps no longer show accurately on my Apple Watch unless I go into the Apple Health app and manually add them.

Simple yet Effective. I started using Pedometer January 2, 2019. I wanted something on my phone that was simple yet effective to see where I was for my daily step goal, and to help push myself to do a few more steps to reach my daily goal. This app met those needs. I use it daily in place of buying an expensive wearable, because I always have my phone with me. If you want a simple way to monitor your daily steps this is the app for you. Each month you can increase your steps by 500, or simply leave it on your original setting and strive to increase them daily. It is totally up to you. I highly recommend this app!!

Great App. I tried quite a few apps until I found this one. It’s very easy and to the point. I set it up in less than 5 minutes. The app tells you steps, floors climbed, and miles. The only 2 things I’m having trouble with are the notifications and contacting the developer. There is a spot to choose email, but nothing happens when I try to open it. I also can’t find a place to have a notification when I’ve reached my step goal. I have to go into the app to check. If I’ve reached my goal my Apple Watch buzzes and throws confetti in the app. It doesn’t do it otherwise. All and all it’s a great app!!! I paid the $1.99. You don’t have to, but hey, sometimes it’s just a nice thing to do. :)

Adds steps when doing nothing.. annoying. Have connected to my Apple Watch. Adds steps too quickly from moving hand. I often have 2-6k just lying on couch watching tv depending on how much I use the remote. It’s annoying as it shows the pedometer is too sensitive. Happy it finally shows number of steps on lock screen of Apple Watch vs pedometer word and +++ on Lock Screen. Must have changed with update. So pro con to this app that can be added t Apple Watch. Hopefully an even better one or better updates will happen to fix this problem of gaining steps when I’m sitting doing nothing but maybe moving wrist to look at watch, use remote etc. PS I’m not a lazy person but when I am, I want my pedometer to tell me that!!

Easy to use but flawed. This app works pretty well on my Apple Watch but one of its major flaws is that you can’t use it to time yourself exactly. If you have set a mileage goal, the clock keeps running after you have hit your goal so you don’t really know how long it took you. I would like to know how long it took me to run a mile this morning. It told me Goal Achieved! But did not say how long it took me. Then I had to press a couple buttons to get to the information about by run but the clock was still going while I was screwing around with the app. Which is really frustrating. I don’t get why it doesn’t tell you how long it took to complete your goal. And also keep going if you want to keep running. Not that hard to retain both sets of information.

Algorithm not in good faith. It seems wrong, in principle and logic, to allow rest days and then not take the rest-day-unbroken streak into consideration in allocating badges. For example, I walked a thirty day streak for June, two legitimate rest days are in the mix. However for the monthly streak the app notates 30 days and yet I did not get the “Perfect Month” badge, which is what I was really aiming for. Why allow your users the option for rest days, indicate that it “will not break your streak” and then penalize your user for incorporating a rest day when allocating badges; that just seems contradictory and misleading. It’s the second time something like this has happened and the logic here is flawed - either you disallow rest days or you honor the fact that you said a break every six days will not affect your streak and stick to that across the app.

very helpful and fun!. I love using this app! I am even more active by trying to beat my step count everyday! I never thought it would be something I look forward to seeing at the end of every day, funny what becomes the little joys in life!! I do love having the rest day feature because everyone deserves a rest so the day I do take one, it doesn’t affect my high day streak and make me have to start all over!!! The app design is easy and to the point, not overly complicated or busy with a bunch of adds or mumbo jumbo! It tells you your steps and thats that! I do like the little monthly challenges/tasks! Makes it more fun then just working out/staying fit/healthy!!! 🙃 GREAT APP!

Best Pedometer App!!!. 2 months ago I had back surgery and I’m walking more as part of my recovery. I have to walk at least 1 to 1.5 miles daily and this app tells me how many steps and miles I’ve done in a day and I really like that you can set your own goals and adjust the step’s count according to how you like it. I’ve tested the accuracy and it is dead on with my treadmill when I hit the mile mark it tells me here I did the same. I’ve also counted my steps and compared to the app and it was as close as you can get. I’m really happy with this app and is helping me reach my goals of walking more and getting fit. Thank you to the creators of this wonderful app.

Upgrade issue. Before the watchOS 5 upgrade, Pedometer had a great feature: while walking I could toggle quickly between workout & today steps. With the upgrade, the setting options allow me to only select either workout steps or today steps to display on the screen. Because of health issues, I do multiple walks during the day, trying to reach my daily goal. It really helps to know while I’m walking what the count for that workout is, along with the total for the day. Please put back the ability to easily see both while exercising. Either a toggle, or just allow me to pick both counters to display at the same time. To switch the display during a work out is too cumbersome to do frequently. Prior to the upgrade, the app was a five star. Thank you.

I’m human, not a computer automated comment. I’m new to the Apple system just this past year in 2020. I always said I wouldn’t ever get an iPhone or never turn to the dark side from androids. My kind had changed, I also bought the Apple Watch. This app is amazing to have. It does the work for you pretty much. I couldn’t ask for a better summary of my day and steps. It also motivates me to do better when I see the days I was “slacking”, it drives me to want to stay steady and beat the previous days/weeks/months before. Thank you for this free app! Your efforts are appreciated and your work is to the max level of satisfaction with delivery! - lafaye

Total Motivator!!. It may sound silly, but knowing this app was on my phone totally motivated me to start moving. I recently gained a bunch of weight and VERY recently had abdominal surgery. Both the weight gain and the surgery, pretty much over night, severely limited my ability to function and feel normal. So I downloaded the app and got to walking. While at work I’m able to move or not move as much as I want. Having the app turned this into a game I could play with myself. Each day I try to beat the number of steps from the day before. I am feeling better and better every single day and plan to continue doing this even after I meet my weight loss goal. Thank you so much for this!!!!!

OCD?. After 368 consecutive days with 10K+ steps my wife and I attended her 60th college reunion. Our dog stayed home and my streak came to an end. What a burden this lifted from my shoulders. I had been saying for more than 6 months that I wanted to surpass a full year. Now, my dog seems to be pleased when we cut our walks short. I have grappled with shorter days and as I am getting older I find that walking on icy roads, trails, and paths really isn’t fun. Objective completed and I’m now looking back at a goal and a task that was completed prior to the worsening of an approaching northern New England winter. My only regret is that I couldn’t bank surplus steps in order to continue my streak.

Not bad at all. I have found this app to be really useful for me, especially as I am trying to gradually increase my activity level. This app is simple and easy to use and for someone who has a number of physical problems, I have found the app very helpful. It’s not perfect but it’s very easy to use. I use it to monitor some of my daily activity. Helping me to increase my level of activity. It’s not like I have to be an athlete to use it. I set my own levels and I still get badges. It’s improved since I got it, this is great especially as it is used along with my Apple Watch. Nothing’s perfect and it’s relatively easy to cheat intentionally or accidentally. But cheating deliberately, it’s only yourself you are cheating. All in all a handy energy output monitor.

Being Aware. I’m more aware of my mobility my heart rate and my breathing, because of this app my blood pressure is way better than before. I don’t have high blood pressure that I know of, however I could actually feel my blood pressure go up when I’m nervous or white coats. I have white coat syndrome.. it’s very real I will always be off the charts very high blood pressure if it’s taken around nurses, doctors , even a veterinarian if they have white coats on.. so thank for teaching me that breathing technique and my Apple Watch reminding me to sit and breathe for at least one minute every hour.... and I’m getting in almost 10,000 steps a day walking my baby granddaughter around and around...🥰

Love it but big problems. I love this app but i had major problems with it. i have the new generation of apple watch i wanted to use it on for walking every day, but the app did somwthing tomy battery. Every day after a walk, once activated, it would drain my battery even after the walk ended and i changed feom the app. within a couple hours I’d have to charge my battery. I started having to reset the watch after every walk and even then it would drain half my battery in an hours time. It was much easier to access the walk workout this way and track steps on my watch but I think the main problem was I was tracking steps in a complication and once I activated it the complication would somehow use all my battery.

Thank you. I have been walking for many years and have had many pedometers through the years. This one is the best one I have had. I have been using it since November 2018 and at the age of 87 I passed the 5 million step mark recently with the help of my trusty walker. Thank you for making the pedometer available It looks like I never sent this message. I am now 89 and have passed 11 million steps. I wonder if there’s anyway that you can program it so I couldn’t connect it with my iPad. When I try to do that I got a message I’m sorry but this will not work with any iPhone lower than iPhone 8. If I had a chance to tell that I have an iPhone 8My iPhone and iPad might work together.

Great app!. I really enjoy using the Pedometer app. I am very grateful that it is on my device and allows me to track my steps as long as I have my phone with me. I have been through three Fitbits that continue to get lost or broken. Fortunately, my phone has endured all of those times and has been able to let me track my exercise, despite not having a specialty device for the simple function. Now, if only it could track my other exercise activities so well, such as cycling and rowing! Unfortunately, the new fitness app by Apple does not allow me to track those activities either, so I am constantly being told by that app that I am not moving enough.

Good on its own, frustrating when used with other sources. Using this has been a generally good experience. I don’t quite understand the deliberate deviation from Apple UX, but it doesn’t really impact tracking functionality. Where this falls flat for me is communicating this data back to my through watchOS complications. There are a variety of them to choose from, which is really welcomed, but the data source does not update frequently enough when Apple Watch is not the only data source. It doesn’t seem to ever catch on to my step count when they are provided to Apple Health through another source, and this is problematic because it has eroded the trust in data displayed on the watch. Fixing that would inspire me to re-rate this as a 5.

This app has made a huge difference!. Since I began using this app, I have walked 3,774,140 steps. This equals 1,686.7 miles or 64 marathons. My cholesterol has gone from 225 to 137. My A1C has gone from 6.7 to 6.1. I’ve lost 25 pounds and resting heart rate was in the high 90s and into the 100s and is now in the low 80s. Pedometer ++ has kept me on track with no less than 10,000 steps in a day and several days with over 25,000 steps when my daughter and I take mountain hikes. I haven’t missed a day working out since January 3, 2020. Many thanks to the developers of this app. It has made a huge difference in my life!

Great way to track for an average person.. I do not regularly track my fitness but do try to get out and walk when I can. It’s tough to meet goals during the week as I sit a lot for work and work from home. This app since it uses both my phone and watch help me count what I can. I look forward to seeing green on the weekends and strive for less red more orange during the week. Recently took a trip and my stair count skyrocketed from 0 per day. I did not think I could do as many flights as I did. Love the app since it’s easy to read and gives me all my stats on one screen.

Over 80’s can use.. I really enjoy using this app. Being 80 and a first I phone it took me a good amount of time just to figure out how to get started. It took me time to figure out I needed an app. Boy, I am behind times. Maybe a little booklet to go at purchase of the phone added at the show and tell time in the store for people who learn better reading. I like the simple format. I was a professor of education and know that only 10 percent of our learners are hearing learners. You had added the seeing, but some of the population need to see and keep simple written instructions. The seniors are in this category because of memory recall problems.

Love this app BUT hate the update. I specifically downloaded this app because it allowed me to see my step count on the face of my Apple Watch. Quick glance and that’s all it took to know where I was at. But now they changed it so it only gives you increments of 1,000 steps (1k, 2k etc) I hate it. That’s now what I downloaded the app for. I even went into the settings to see if I could change it and nope. I’m so disappointed. I really hope they change it back or I will be looking for a new app soon. Please change it back, I’m a numbers person and want the raw data on my wrist. But I’ve loved the app since I downloaded it a year ago, that’s my only complaint.

This app makes me regret switching from Fitbit to Apple Watch. Aside from the harsh look of the design, the app doesn’t update well or always track accurately. For example, I’ll walk hundreds of steps with the app open and it’ll stay frozen on the number it showed when I opened the app. Sometimes it’ll catch up much later, sometimes not at all. It’ll show that I have a certain streak for weeks, only to change its mind and remove steps on certain days, messing up my streak. I recently had a 30+ day streak (where I saw that I hit my goal each day), only to log in the other day to a 10 day streak with other smaller streaks previous to that because a few of my days had steps randomly disappear. I love everything else about having an Apple Watch, but this is the worst app.

Me James Prescott. This is best thing I’ve ever used to walk with this makes me wanna get up and walk shoot wish I woulda had this in Military I woulda set records walking with this I had 20 mile runs 26 mile runs 30 mile runs up to 36 mile runs in Military made them all too. Never failed a run in Military ever even set some records since been beaten I’m sure but they were fun no doubt thanks so much for this absolutely love it. James Prescott. Well so far I’ve got 181 thousand steps with my Pedometer and NO steps missing but am getting fitter check mine with my HEALTH APP mines been step for steps exactly same steps as my PEDOMETER NO CHANGE WHAT SO EVER WE AS PEOPLE HAVE A TENDENSY TO BELIEVE WE ALWAYS DOING MORE THAN MACHINE SAYS WE ARE I BELIVE MACHINE DOING FANTASTIC J O B MYSELF IM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT MINE VERY SATISFIED!!!!

Potential to be good, but... It’s not accurate.. This app provides basic step count information. The today widget is a nice feature. This app has the potential to be a four star app, but it is inaccurate and the developer does not respond to requests for help. I downloaded the app 14 days ago and found that 3 days out of the 14 showed incorrect steps, missing large chunks of hourly step data. It did not agree with the Apple Health app nor with 4 other apps that I downloaded at the same time. After a week, (after not getting a response from my help request) I deleted the app and reloaded it. The problem continued and I lost several days of data that was older than 7 days. Potentially could be a good app but can’t recommend it in it’s current version. Update 4/1/19: App continues to be inaccurate. Monthly updates do not correct the basic problem. I’ve given up on this app. I can’t believe that there are so many 5 star reviews. I’m deleting it.

This is the best pedometer. I started out with a Misfit Shine well before the Apple Watch. The Shine had some great features, beautiful design but was very simple in results. Next I used an iphone tracker, but it was collecting far too much location data, so I deleted it. After getting Apple Watch, I’ve used several step trackers. Pedometer++ is more accurate and more rewarding. This has made my ADD work in my favor, as I’m no longer embarrassed by walking back and forth many times an hour because I get distracted. My only disappointment is that it does not give me credit for flights of stairs on stairs or anything steep hills. This may be an iPhone problem, though.

Great Step Counting App!!!. I found this app to track my steps on my daily walks and started with the free version which is nice because there were not too many adds to contend with and then upgraded to the very reasonable $1.99 paid version out of support to the makers of the app. You can rest assured you won't find too many annoying ads with the free version and no hard sell with the inexpensive paid version. You even have the option to leave any amount of a tip and that will also remove all of the adds. I enjoy supporting businesses that put the user experience first and money second. Thank you to the makers of this app for providing this useful app! Joy B.

I love this app. It’s an easy app to use, I also love how it syncs with my Apple Watch as I frequently leave my phone on my bedside table charging in the morning (and occasionally when I forget to take it when I leave the house, or when I misplace my place), and it counts all those otherwise missed steps I would have not counted, had I not had my watch on. My only suggestion is: I just wish it would allow you to compare cumulative steps with past weeks (total), months, quarter, or year, and even the same week, month or quarter with the previous year as a motivator to keep moving to beat my previous total steps. Be available in the premium app, but I didn’t see that in the premium description. Great app, thanks!

61 year old Male.. First I would like to start by saying thank you to Pedometer, for if not for your service I think my medical condition would of deteriorate. I have been using this app since 2016 and I am so thankful for this free app. Long story short, after I suddenly started to get my painful sciatica nerve attacks, I started walking on a daily bases and the pedometer was my go to guy and motivator for me to walk on a regular bases and able to track my daily activity’s. This app is so simple, accurate and efficient. That is way I really appreciate this service. Thanks again Pedometer. Edgar. P.S This is way I donate, it’s imperative to donate.

Wonderful and simple to use. I’ve used this app for years and have never been disappointed with its simplicity or with its effectiveness. Pedometer+++ integrates seamlessly with Apple Health, includes widgets, and an Apple Watch app with home screen complications. Some other pedometer apps have flashier graphics, but if what you want is a simple pedometer, this app is a great choice. My only gripes are 1) occasional lag time before watch and widgets refresh, which I suspect is an iOS issue, and 2) it would be nice if the app alerted users when they’ve crossed enough miles to replace their shoes. That would be an easy and a helpful feature addition since the app already tracks mileage.

Apple Watch issues. I have a 394 day streak going but the last couple weeks or so, the Apple Watch will just stop the workout every few hundred steps or so, is the app outdated and not getting updated anymore? I love this app and have used it for going on 2 years now. Do I need to find another app or will this issue be fixed in an upcoming update? The Apple Watch issue seems to have been fixed with the latest update, but my streak was broken because I flew from Ca to NC and when changing time zones retroactively lost steps on a few days. I’ve emailed hoping to get it fixed because I was able to hit my goal every day I was in Ca, only to see it disappear when I got home.

The BEST!. I use this pedometer daily. As someone who is trying to be more active and improve my overall health, this app has helped me keep track of my progress. The graphics are pretty great too. I’ll admit to getting a cheap thrill every time I get the confetti celebration for reaching my daily step goal. It’s created a Pavlovian response. I want the confetti celebration. I NEED the confetti celebration 😛. The monthly challenges are fun too. The badges are great, and the total step count (for every day you’ve ever used the app) is fun. All of these things help create a motivational tool to keep your progress moving forward.

Good app but. I like the app, I like that it gives achievements to work towards and you can set your own step goals and change them at any time easily. I like being able to see everything for every day in one convenient bar graph. My only issue with it is the accuracy. I walked my staircase 15 times now and it’s only listing that I’ve done 9. I was happy to see it would help me keep count but the fact that it’s so far off the actual amount means I have to count them myself and that I won’t be able to hit my stair climbing achievements without doing so many extra to get them. It counts my steps but won’t count staircases properly. I keep my phone in my pocket since I use weights and leave the app running and phone unlocked so I can keep track. If there’s a way to correct this that would be wonderful because I mainly wanted it for that feature.

It’s Addictive. Been using the app for about two years. Set more ambitious daily step goals for 2022. All my walking is outdoors in any and all weather conditions. Really love the rest day option, especially with higher daily step goal - it helps allow for the occasional rest, bad weather, sick days, etc. haven’t missed a day and looking forward to reaching the goal of 365 days in a row. The app helps me compete with myself and provides inspiration to not miss a walk and to drive myself to more steps and floors. Also like the monthly achievement goals for extra motivation.

It does just what I want it to do. I wanted something that did a reasonable job of tracking my daily steps and nothing else. The setup is easy. Tracking is easy. The interface is clean. I didn’t have to create an account or choose a map or turn off all the other “features” that I don’t want. It seems accurate enough for tracking how active I am on a daily basis. After several days of use, I noticed a subtle ad strip running at the bottom of the screen with a link to remove ads. I clicked, I paid. That wasn’t even a difficult decision.

GREAT APP - VERY HELPFUL TO A RECUPERATING COVID-19 SURVIVOR WHOSE LYNGS ARE ON THE MEND. Very helpful. Very encouraging. Very easy to use. I recall the old(er) - ‘maybe’ they still have them; perhaps they are still being sold - mechanical pedometers that one fixed to one’s waist. You had to figure out your stride length, etc. I had one or two of them, used them once or twice - and that was that. This is MUCH easier to use - no fumbling around, no wizardry involved in making it work. PLUS…I am a COVID-19 survivor; contracted it just three days after my first Pfizer vaccine shot. NO, NO, NO… The vaccine HAD NOTHING to do with contracting the virus, which my pulmonologist said I clearly had been exposed at least days - a week+ earlier. And, YUP, not that you asked, but US astronauts HAVE INDEED been to the moon and back. This app is really helpful in encouraging me to continue my recuperation. Today is the first time I walked a small distance with my dog, aided and abetted by a bit of oxygen from a small tank in a backpack I just purchased just for this, for doing my recuperation walking. GREAT APP!!!

For those of us really damaged. I have had ten serious operations during the past seven years, and i cant count the plethora of actions requiring anesthesia. Every one was a discouragement against moving. But the Apple Watch demanded I stand every hour and move. The pedometer offered a shower of confetti when a goal was reached, and I was encouraged to set a new goal. For those like me who need to be watched, I recommend you give this app a try. Serious athletes may want more information but for those of us who want to stay motivated and have a record to show our GP’s, this is a very useful app. And it makes no difference if you use the tip jar as it appears constantly asking for more please.

Doesn’t work properly after new IOS update. After the new iOS 17 this app doesn’t work properly on my watch. It doesn’t show the current step count until the shortcut is selected. Both my phone and watch have the latest software installed. Please let me know when this issue will be resolved. Thank you UPDATE: the app worked properly but after the latest update of the app it’s broken again. I was walking around all day today and it only recorded about 200 steps, that’s what it was when I first got up and then checked the steps. The app seems to be counting in the background but doesn’t display it on the watch or sends information to the phone unless I check it manually. It is soooo frustrating!

Far more accurate than Apple health app. I know it doesn’t make any sense but for some reason this app does a much better job of counting steps and that the native health app. It works well on elliptical trainers which are normally a huge challenge for fitness trackers and the health app has never properly recorded my steps on an elliptical but this one does. I can’t explain it but the evidence is right there before my eyes — the health app has a totally different (much lower and definitely inaccurate) number of steps. I only wish there were a way to integrate the data so that pedometer’s step count is inserted in the health data app instead of the the badly counted steps that the health app produces.

Steps don’t sync to the app on my phone. My Apple Watch shows me reaching my 5,000 goal most days, but the app on my phone usually only shows a small percentage of the steps i take each day. It’s the same app reading different amounts on each device and I can’t figure out why it’s not syncing. It used to and to my knowledge, I haven’t changed any settings. I can’t find a setting that may point towards why this is happening. It’s not a huge deal bc I can at least see the steps syncing into the health app correctly but it’s bothersome that I can’t earn any awards bc the app never shows my steps accurately.

Changes. Since the update a few days ago my steps have been looking crazy! I looked at it one moment and it was at 5500 steps and about 15 minutes later it was almost up to 9000 steps. All this while I was standing in my kitchen which is not very big. A few days before this happened I noticed that my steps seem to be lagging. I would walk and look at the counter and walk some more and look at the counter. Sometimes the counter would change. Sometimes it would not. It seems very odd and this is something new that has just started in the last few days. Not sure what to think. Finally, I I went back to the activity app and the number of steps they show is very different from what this pedometer app is showing. What happened?

Mis-step. I Like this app. Everything is moving along fine. The only glitch I experience is my own— when I choose to record an Outdoor Walk, I turn it on and go. However, half the time I do not remember to Stop the program when I’m done du to distractions of getting back into my car and heading home. I think the app’s program stops the step counting just fine, but the gps movement continues and get reported. Example: I drove 10 miles to a favorite trail, started the app, but only remembered to shut it off as I turned into my driveway at home! I wish it would alert me when it detects no movement for 30 seconds — just to check in with me to ask to be paused or stopped. Is that available?

Terrible if you crochet or craft. I had surgery done and spend the next 4 days on the couch crocheting. Despite only walking to the bathroom and back, the app recorded over 10,000 steps a day due to my crocheting. I didn’t want to take off the Apple Watch as we were watching my heart rate and oxygen levels for any issues post surgery. There HAS to be a way to make a setting that allows you to tell the Apple Watch and subsequently the pedometer app that you are indeed NOT walking. Or at least a way to delete the steps if they calculate incorrectly in the app for the pedometer. It looks like I walked a TON in the days after my surgery which I most definitely did not do. I just crocheted to my hearts content. Please make a workable fix for this.

Great tracker for walking!. I enjoy having this app on my phone. Although I don’t keep my phone on me for every step I take, I prefer this to a fit bit or traditional pedometer. I’ve had a few pedometers go through the wash and I don’t like having another “smart” devise constantly tied to me. It felt too invasive. This pedometer app is user friendly, gives me the info I need and is easy to align to a person’s gender and height. I started searching for an app when I got serious about creating a healthy increase/change in my walking! I love the emails sent with health and exercise advise. They are helpful and informative! If I don’t feel like opening one up I don’t. No big deal.

Lost weight.. I have been logging my steps for almost a year now and have lost 35 pounds. Slow and steady. I find it holds me accountable and every day I try to walk more than the day before. I also try to aim to exceed my personal best which is just over 17,000. I’ve never had such success before as I have with actually calculating how many calories I’m burning and how much food I can eat. Such a simple concept. I started aiming for 10,000 steps a day and now I average at least 14,000. This app shows me that I have walked the equivalent of two trips from New York to Chicago. That’s pretty cool when they put it in terms like that. I highly recommend this.

Great app, missing one feature.. Maybe I am missing it in the options section 🤷‍♂️, but if there was a per trip counter is would be a great feature. For instance: I am about to start a walk / jog, and having the option to record how far you travel. Currently having to write down the amount of steps, and then convert to miles seems a little silly. I purchased the full version hoping that it may unlock more options ( also I use this app daily, and it’s only $1.99), but it’s still not a option (not that I was lead to believe otherwise, just hoping). Great app in every other way. Simple to use, and seems to be accurate. Thanks.

Why is this? PLEASE READ. so for some reason when I downloaded this app ( a few months ago) it was great until this glitch or something happened a few days ago. Where when I walk it’s like it only counts half like I walk to my friends house or something and it gives me less. Like really?? Is that how much steps I walked?? And I get up early in the morning sometimes and walk right and then when I walk about a few hundred steps GUESS WHAT there is only ZERO steps STILL like come on- it’s some glitch or something but I really hate it. And I know I am making a big deal but I want to know my steps so I don’t know if other people get this glitch but plz fix!!! Thx! 🫠

Thanks from John and Sue. Just trying to get myself on track. I have gained some weight and need to get it back down to fit back into my clothes. Have an app on my I phone but it is pretty basic. Wanted something that would challenge me a little. Looked through what this app had and was very impressed with being able to customize it to your own needs and because I am not very savvy with new technology, it was easy to use. Me and my wife over did it a little bit yesterday but are very exited about getting ourselves into better shape so we will also be pushing each to get there. Thanks for the free app. Will let you know how our journey to a healthier life style goes. John and Sue.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app!. This is the best pedometer app I have encountered. It is simple to use, synced easily with my iPhone and my Apple Watches 2 & 3. I think the refresh rate is decent, which motivates me to keep going. I dig when I reach my current goal of 10,000 steps and I get the confetti celebration. I also like that I get badges for accomplishments. I love that I can monitor my accomplishments, as well as my lackluster progress I have to reckon with myself. The stored data is easy to read, includes my dated and bar graphed color-coded steps, as well as the distance in miles. I have shared this app with my family and friends. Last, I am glad that by donating to the TIP JAR, I don’t have to deal with the ads. Thanks soooooooo much!

Pedometer +. I love this app, as it keeps me competing against myself and daily progress is so very obvious. I definitely has me in the ‘must get this done’ mode every single day. BUT... the floor count is totally off! It reads at least 20% low every time and sometimes even more I have been climbing hills using Gaia and also noting altimeter Settings on the bottoms and top, and Pedometer does not even come close to being accurate. When you are trying to get in shape to go back country skiing , it’s no fun to get cheated out of the altitude you have tried to climb every day What made me aware of this was that Pedometer showed that I had climbed 12 floors x 10’ , which is 120 feet when I knew I had climbed 400’. That was the most extreme ever but made me pay attention When I climbed a 1400’ hill it only showed 100 floors and the next time I did the exact same hill, it only showed 84! I don’t know if anything can be done about this??? Also, if you don’t hang out on top for a few minutes , the app never catches up to where you really are You might adjust the floor height to be 12 or 15 ‘? I can keep track of reality vs pedometer heights and You could extrapolate what the floor height should be... Today 18 floors for 638’ really?

My walk pedometer app. The pedometer app is always less steps than my watch reveals. I am hitting over 10,000 steps each day the pedometer doesn’t count all my steps only my exercise steps??? The same route I always take has been called 4.9 a couple of times and that is as close as it comes to the 5.1 miles I actually walk. It isn’t as motivating as wearing my watch but will do for when my watch is charging. I think several of my apps credit me with fewer calories burned. I am just happy it keeps my metabolism working well and can handle the calories I am taking in on my low carb high protein high fat and 12 hour fast a night. The app is alright and will do but not my favorite measure of my achievements.
