Needs Work. This app is a nice concept in theory but execution is poor and intrusive. You won’t hear the cues from the coach to run/Walk etc. if your lock screen is up. I’m not sure if that’s Bc my phone is set to silent or what but other apps don’t struggle w this. So good luck keeping the app open while you run. It didn’t properly track distance- wasn’t trying to get totally accurate but it was pretty off. Also, the ads and prompts to subscribe for the “premium” service are just too much. You can barely tap a few things on the app without getting a prompt or ad each time. This is a workout app! You are likely in the zone each time a giant ad appears. And I would be fine paying for a helpful app but the $10 a month subscription model just yields 0 value IMO. What am I paying for that’s on par with Netflix or my streaming music service pricing? There just aren’t enough features to justify $10 a month! I have my own playlists and there are other apps that provide what you’re offering without a subscription. Developers: some of us would actually like to pay for your app but your payment models need work...

Froze my entire phone if I wanted to play music. Great app, too many technical issues. During my trial period, anytime I tried to play music, it froze the app and then shut down my phone. I contacted support, they said to uninstall the app and re download. I did it a few times and each time it didn't work. I tried it again with the update, I was probably about 25% through the workout (with the music finally working) when someone called me. The workout didn't pause even though the pause during calls was TURNED ON, then when I skipped back to where I was, and tried to press play for the music, it froze, shut down, then wouldn't come back on. I tried to delete and redownload it, but it wasn't loading. I had to turn off my phone, do a soft reset, and turn it back on. Basically every time the app stops working, I have to reboot my phone. And when I do that, it deletes my workout data. For the amount of money paid, you'd think there'd be a cloud associated with your account so that when there are technical difficulties, it doesn't delete all your progress. The work out programs are great, I prefer them to the couch potato to 5k, but it doesn't reliably work and I have never had the app work throughout the entire work out. I would love to buy the full version, but I am afraid it would be a huge waste of money since I can't get it to work for a full 40 minutes.

Can’t do anything unless I pay. I first got the app with no desire to pay for any of the subscriptions; the basic free plan was enough for me as I just wanted something to get into better shape. I wasn’t too serious about my fitness. I did the first week, where when an ad popped up, I accidentally bought the free trial plan. I cancelled it and then, today when I went to get on the app, an ad popped up telling me to ‘keep running with my plan’. It gave me the options to buy the different plans but there was no way to get out of the screen. No X in the corner or anything. I’m not willing to pay for the premium, and it seems the app is forcing you to even though it didn’t do that before when I used it. Very frustrating, I really liked the program, but if it’s going to randomly force me to pay for a plan I don’t want then I’m not going to continue

App with issues. I enjoy this app, however it does have its issues. I only gave the basic plan and it’s not the constant ad pop ups for their paid plans that annoys me. It’s the connectivity issues I am having with the app not being able to sync up with my fitbit. It’s the fact that when I accidentally pressed restart running plan, all of my previous gains/trophies were erased, even though I have created an account and was signed in. It’s the fact that I contacted technical support about it and nothing was done. It’s that I had to run the time again, just to get all my hard worked for achievements back. It’s also that it doesn’t keep track of your mileage or accurate calorie burn if you run indoors, which running outdoors is not for everyone. That’s what annoys me about this app. I do appreciate the app in that it keeps me motivated to run and the water reminders. If they fixed all the issues this app has, then it’d be just about perfect.

Highly Favored. It’s hard for me to stay motivated when running but this app makes it so easy. You get fat by day and mile by mile stats while running, they break down calories burned and much more. Recently I discovered that they also even have recipes and meal plans that are optional for you to follow. However, the premium is the version I have and you can do monthly or every 6months. If your not committed to changing over to a healthy lifestyle, this may not be an app for you. It requires discipline and also the premium features are not available with the 7 day free trial. I imagine that the regular version has less to offer. Moral of the story EXCELLENT APP.

The App that Keeps on Giving!. This app for runners has been my saving grace! For the last few years, my workout regimen has taken a major hit! Treadmill workouts used to be a mainstay. However, after a few years of “starting and stopping,” and no “consistent” routine...my ability to stay on a treadmill to stay committed to a run/ walk of any sort became difficult and frankly annoying. I simply lost motivation and interest. After deciding to give the treadmill a try once more...I was encouraged to seek out apps that assist in getting “wanna be” runners started! Well...nearly 3 months later, I’m actually enjoying my runs, have gained sustenance, more energy and weight loss on top of it all! I have never enjoyed a run on a treadmill more than I do now! The ability to select various genres of music only adds to the fun! I was a skeptic at first...but, investing time and a few dollars a month on this app has been one of the best things I’ve done for myself in quite awhile!

I’ve Always Hated Running. I have never ever in my life been a fan of running or cardio, period. I recently got into spinning and that opened up an appreciation for cardio because I was able to lose a lot of fat. It wasn’t until I saw how expensive memberships for various classes were that I thought “it looks like I’ll just have to get my cardio in on my own”. I found this app and downloaded it and explored through the work outs and such and was pretty impressed. I took it to the gym with me and ran on the track with it and it was awesome! You can customize just about every aspect and I love that you can do indoor vs outdoor work outs with it. I’m now in week 3 of running with this app and I’m considering the “premium membership”. I also like that this app notifies me when to drink water throughout the day because I’m TERRIBLE at drinking water. I’d rather have wine, milk or beer. Since using this app, I’ve lost roughly 9lbs and can’t wait to continue losing more. I’m super happy that I found this app!

Great app but Apple Watch don’t work. I love this app. I’ve never enjoyed running but I’ve been doing the beginners weight loss program and I’ve learned to enjoy running. Each time it gets harder but also not so hard that you can’t do it and get discouraged. My only issue is that the Apple Watch app doesn’t work. When I click on it on the Apple Watch it says “To make use of all functions run the app on your phone”. Then I open the app on my phone and nothing happens. If it’s supposed to just say that then better off deleting the Apple Watch app. It’s confusing. Also it won’t read my heart rate unless I turn on the fitness app on the Apple Watch, but then it comes up that I ran twice, which is annoying.

Love it so much!. I love this app. Let me tell you why: 1. Interval training-you burn more calories with interval training. This app has you doing it for 30+ minutes & you almost always burn 500 calories or more. 2. It increases intensity of the workouts each day at a comfortable pace. Each day it gets a little bit harder, but it seems like I always find the energy to push through. 3. The different levels of fitness offers beginners, intermediate, & advanced runners different training plans. This is super important considering there ARE different types of runners. 4. The little parts where the trainer tells you "good job" & reminds you that you're halfway there helps. It makes you feel that you've accomplished a lot so it encourages you to keep going. 5. Aesthetically appealing. Who would I recommend this app to: anyone. I believe this would suit anyone's fitness goals because it is so versatile. Overall, great app. Combine this with a well-balanced diet and you should see significant results in 1 week! I know I have. Great job to the developers! Update: I only have 2 issues with this app. There have been a few times the announcements to run, walk, or sprint. didn’t work. It kind of throws off your workout to have to look at the screen and see when it’s time to do either of those. Also, the lady announces your miles ran/calories burned back to back which is pointless. It’s really distracting. Other than that, awesome app.

Love the concept. The concept of this app is great. I love that you get a plan according to your skill level and it pushes you harder as the days go. You can start the app as a beginner or start at advanced and get a proper running plan. I like that there’s a coach helping you along and cheering you on! The music is also really nice to run to! There are some great playlists on here for motivation. The only downfall I found so far was compatibility with AirPods. Which sadly I can’t get over.. anytime the phone does anything else outside of the running app the AirPod drops Bluetooth. So my music starts playing from the phone speakers and I have to unpair the AirPods and pair them again. This happens if I get a notification, call, text, activity alert from my watch or if the AirPods sense my hands in the vicinity of my ears... like to wipe sweat off my brow. Also today the alerts stopped working in the last 10 minutes of my run. So it didn’t tell me when to speed up, walk or start running again. Hopefully this gets fixed at some point and I can use this app again.

Great workouts. I have never enjoyed running all that much, but this app allows me to push myself and I actually look forward to my run days. I enjoy doing these runs outdoors instead of on a treadmill because I can go as fast or as slow as I possibly can. I feel like I get a great workout in under 40 minutes. I don’t particularly pay attention to the distance or calories burned, I just push myself as much as I can. I also enjoy the playlist they have! I feel if you were to do 75 hard this would be a great outdoor workout you could incorporate in! Highly recommend

Great at first. This could be a great app with 5 stars but I keep getting sent back to week 2. It keeps resetting. I’ve sent multiple requests for help but no response. I do love the app except for that. I may look elsewhere for a new app if I can’t get a response. But all that be said I do like the runs. It makes it easy to run and build up speed. I find myself going for a run even if I don’t feel like it. I just hate getting up to week 4, after 3 months because the app keeps resetting itself, and then I’m back on week 2 day 1 and I’m not able to change it. Oh well, off to find a new run app. Too bad! If you can get the weeks to progress without resetting then you would love this app!

Glad I didn’t buy it. If this app worked correctly it would be great! Unfortunately, it does not and in the most annoying way. Unless the app is open on your phone, the voice will not tell you when to change with “let’s walk!”, “let’s run!”, etc. If your phone goes to the lock screen, you are on your own. If you have time to keep opening your phone back up to check if it’s been 2 minutes, 1.5 minutes....you get the picture. I gave it two stars because it is great, if you have the time to keep reopening your phone while running. Update: Even when you use the lock screen on the app (as the developer suggested), if you minimize the app so that your phone lock screen comes on, the audio feedback will not alert you about when it is time to run, walk, etc. through music. I do not want to run my phone battery down keeping this app on the lock screen the entire time nor do I want to have to keep looking at my phone every couple of minutes. Changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 for this reason.

Completely awesome for me!. This is by far the best that I have found to motivate me & at just the right pace! I love the extras like the meal plan & water reminders. I’m just getting back to running after starting work again full time (huge change in my life) and I thought I could never fit running in anymore due to my schedule. But with this app I have found it to be attainable! Definitely sticking with the premium membership... so worth it and a lot less cost than so many others I have looked into. Thanks so much, Verv! I ❤️ your apps! I’m just a regular back-to-work mom, btw, the fact that I took the time to right this review should say a lot!!

Great running app, a few suggestions though. So I paid for the 1-year premium subscription so I could get back into running after having a baby. Before baby I was running about 15 miles a week, sometimes 5 mile days so pretty decent runner. The program started out super slow for me but ramped up really fast, so fast that I couldn’t keep up especially when I was running outside. A few suggestions to make: 1) Don’t ramp up the intensity so quickly. In the running for weight loss program, there’s only one day where you walk after sprinting, then it’s all running. Give us a week or more of walking after sprinting to adjust. 2) Allow users to adjust how long they can run. Usually I only get 30-40 min to run in the mornings, so when the time increases to 48 mins long, I basically never get to finish a workout. 3) Allow users to customize their own workout. I would like to create my own workout with 5 min running, 30 seconds sprint, 30 seconds walk, then repeat for example.

I love this ap. I have downloaded all... quite literally all... of the running aps that take you from couch to 5k, or some variant of that. This one is by far the best. There are SO many options as far as type of programming, for example, the running for weight loss program. That one not only increases your running from minimal to a 5k of all running, but includes sprints to increase weight loss, endurance, and speed. If you're not to the point where you are comfortable running, there is a walking program that will build you up to that. I paid for the full ap and I do not regret it one bit. Definitely worth the money and makes running enjoyable. I'm also able to play my own music in the background, but the music that comes with it is really awesome and pumps you up with tons of options and genres.

I cant workout without it!. I love this app so much! I have been using it since February, I have lost 8lbs so far and its just from using the exercise portion of this app, I haven’t tried the meal plans yet i would probably lose more weight if I did. So yes you can still see results even with out the meal plan. I had not worked out in 2 years so when a friend told me about this app I was a beginner. I am now running 4 miles a day all because of this awesome app, it eases you into running and i used to hate running. The music is awesome! I listen to rap and they have the newest songs on there, adding new playlists often, thats when I was sold the playlists are so good there is something for everybody and there’s no cussing in the music which is great bc my 6 year old son likes to work out with me and I dont have to worry about bad words. This app should really be at #1. I never write reviews either but this one deserves it! I paid for the year and I will continue to! Bravó Weight Loss Running keep up the good work!

Ups and downs. This app has its ups and downs. Was I a running before? No! Can I now run a 5k without stopping? Yes! This app does take steps to get you from running 1 minute to 4 minutes, etc. there are a lot of adds, and I do mean a lot. You can’t click anything without getting an add for their premium membership. An add here and there are fine, but this is every click. I have had the app for a while now and the verbal feedback was working fine. 2 updates ago, they screwed up big time. Now when the voice comes on saying your distance and time, it’s no longer freebee Lisa, instead it’s the 80s male robotic voice. I’ve submitted 2 times telling them this needs to be fixed and still nothing. Just what I want to hear when I’m 2 miles in. No thank you. I do like knowing my pace and such, which is why I’ve left that feature on, but looks like I’ll have to switch it off.

Solid App. Pros: mapping, intervals, coaching, great for beginners Cons: cost (for premium), calorie accuracy, variation of levels I started this app when I wanted to pick up running again. I love having the structure when going for a run. Having the different intervals makes it go by faster. I loved the first stage. Building up from walking to running was exactly what I needed. I felt very accomplished. It also seems to be accurate in tracking distance and pacing. The advice in the app is also good. I appreciate the different tips. Sometimes I haven’t understood the harder stages. It seems like there’s not much else to do once you finish the 8 week program. The way the ads opened forced me to get premium or I couldn’t access the program at all. I had to get premium and I don’t think it’s worth it. Also, I’ve noticed it’s pretty generous with counting calories. One time I had it on to count walking and it said I burned over 700 calories walking 3.5 miles in an hour. That seems high to me for walking. But for running, it usually matches the treadmill closely when I run indoors. Just keep in mind it seems to count at a constant rate regardless of your speed.

PUSHES ME!. Honestly, this app pushes me. If it wasn’t for this app I’m not sure I’d run as much or as hard. I’d give quicker without this app. Originally I signed up for the free trial and was hoping I’d forget to cancel .. AND I DID. It was 61$ for 6months which I wouldn’t have knowingly paid but I’m glad I forgot. I mainly use it just for the interval running and can I just give a shout out to them bc THEY INCLUDED CHRISTIAN MUSIC as one of the music genres. In world that tries to push out Jesus I’m glad they didn’t! Only thing I would ask is that you add different types of Christian music Bc the rock stuff gets annoying sometimes. Maybe do DJ mixes of gospels/Christian tracks like the other ones. If that makes sense.

Premium or lots of ads. Downloaded this a while back and it was pretty cool Can’t give too much of a recent update as I’m going to try using it again. Just from reopening it, it keeps popping up the subscription options hence the lower stars. I’m trying to get the thing set up to use and the subscription box pops up with the x too high in the right corner to click and have to exit out and start over again (using an iPhone 12 Pro Max) Maybe I’ll update this review if I’m ever able to get it to work to try it out. The last time I used it, I had premium and you could play your music while running but it was muffled. It wasn’t worth the additional cost for me. Now that I’m going to get back into running again I figured I’d give it a try, but we’ll see considering I’m not able to get the run started

Perfect for Outdoor Run, One Glitch for Indoor Run. I really like the App, reliable with GPS and connection with iPhone. it records items and has several running settings for different levels and different length race preparations. The main glitch I would like them to fix is when you run on treadmill it doesn’t let you fully edit your run, gives you one thing to edit & then locks in everything, frustrating. At the very least I wish it linked with my Fitbit. Otherwise I like the playlists, they can speed up as you run, and have good trainer voices and meal prep ideas. Again really love this app for outdoors but small treadmill run glitch in record keeping. Better than all the other apps based on affordability and features.

Very challenging and fun interval app. I initially was a runner who preferred distance runs around 5-8 miles each go. I started to notice that despite my enjoyment, I had no visible muscle definition nor was my body fat decreasing. This observation caused me to look for other alternatives that involved running, since I love it. Insert this app and intervals. My speed has increased, I’ve lost body fat %, have gained muscle mass and my body shows it. The difficulty increases, which is great since each session can be pretty challenging. My only complaint is the show details portion of each run, has a color coated run icon legend with no description. I can’t figure what each figure means, and while a few, I have a good guess, I don’t want to guess. I want to know what each set is showing me so I can improve.

Worked well until it didn’t. I really liked this app. I used the free version two years ago to get into shape and tried using it again recently. My problem was that there were so many ads for Premium that I accidentally tapped one and my Touch ID purchased it. Luckily, I was able to end the free trial but once I tried to get back on it would send me an ad with no way to cancel it. I can’t access the running program and it it’s super annoying. I tried deleting the app a few times which didn’t work and always had the inescapable ad. I also contacted customer service but they never got back to me. So... I switched to a different app that’s not quite as good when it comes to the program but it does let me run so it’s an improvement.

Nothing is free, not even for 30 days. Do not download unless you want to pay for the plan ($9.99 per month)... I decided to give this app a "test" run. I decided after a few days that it wasn't for me. I was busy with work and didn't delete automatically. I downloaded the app on March 25th, and today April 2nd, I go to delete it. I noticed that as of yesterday, April 1st, it has charged me $9.99. I am having to go through my Apple account to get my money back! Such a hassle for something that was suppose to be "free" for 30 days. Especially since only have downloaded it for a total of eight days. The app did state that I would be charged after the 3rd week of using it. But how was I suppose to know that it literally meant the actual day of the month, not the 3rd week of you downloading it. The app needs to state that you may want to download on the 1st of the month, so you can possibly get a few weeks free out of it...

Overall a great app. I’ve been using the app for a few weeks now and Im so far very pleased with it. I use to be an avid runner but life gets busy and its a lot harder to stay in shape in my 30’s now. So I wanted an app just to help keep me motivated to get in shape again, workout just isn’t as fun as it use to be. I enjoy the coaches that you can select from (Bobs my favorite), the music play lists are actually pretty good, and i enjoy the various walk, run, sprint intervals. It even tells me when Im half way so I know when to turn around and head back to were I started. My only complaint is the estimated burnt calories is totally bizarre sometimes. I have a Garmin watch with a chest heart rate monitor that I use simultaneously to record and the distance recordings between that and this app are usually the same, however this app will have almost double the estimated burnt calories (on my last run, my watch said I burnt 390 calories while this app said 609 calories). I trust my Garmin more since it has a more accurate reading of my pace along with my heart rate. Other wise Im happy with the app and feel its worth the money so far.

Inspired to keep going. This app has continued to motivate me, I started with the weight loss program, and now I’m training for my first half marathon. It’s amazing how it tracks your route, gives you an average time per mile, calories burned, and even suggested meal plan. I’ve been using the app for almost 3 months, have recommended to friends, and will continue to use it. There are a couple very slight suggestions I would offer to improve it. It would be nice to have an option to switch from miles to kilometers. In the marathon training if the coach could let you know in a supportive or funny matter to pick up the pace of you’re falling behind your goal or designated pace. If you need another voice over gal I’d be happy as pie to help ;)

Helped me get started. I actually love this app. I hate running. Scared of it (injury, asthma, etc). But this app helped to break it down in easy steps. And with a slow but sure progression. Each one makes me more assured that I can do it. The ads are really annoying in the free app- they are EVERYWHERE all the time. But after my first run I bought the paid app anyway. Developers: I would like a way to review the program while I'm running, to be able to see what's next. Like the info button you have in the day screens. Thanks! Addendum: thanks for adding what's coming next! Can you also add how long that next segment is? And please can you make the GPS "only when using" rather than "always"? Thanks! Second addendum: things get really glitchy if you pause it. Also if ai am looking at my phone sometimes the voice cue won’t happen, just a little buzz. Is it possible to fix that? Thanks!

Made running “easy”. I’ve been a fluctuating runner my whole life. Meaning sometimes I do it diligently or I don’t run for years at a time. I wanted to start living healthier again and picked running. When I was running on my own I would convince myself I couldn’t do it and just walk. Most of running is learning how to ignore those kind of thoughts. This app helped me to do it. I have been doing the run/walk program and after 4 weeks I am running six minutes straight at a time without feeling the urge to stop. This app tricked me into being able to run. I used the free version for a while and it was good although on occasion the advertisement would make the app crash. I just upgraded to premium this week and couldn’t be happier

In app push. Hey there. I think you have a really great concept here. I’d like to piggy back onto what a few other people have mentioned. The premium full screen take over is a bit much. I couldn’t even test this app out once without accidentally pushing it. This is going to get you a high abandonment rate. Not enough value for all the hassle. Let the app speak for itself. There are more subtle ways to show value and upgrade options. Remind them once in a while in a unique and fun way. Like helpful hints from a trainer or a new recipe once and a whole teaser content - for mvp make it random. Long term tailor this kind of value to the account holder. Place the up-sell within these examples. You’ve put a lot of work into this product and the design is beautiful. Work on the marketing and make it more thoughtful.

Data no longer accurate. I’ve used this app for months and enjoyed the run training and now doing free runs and walks since recovery. But the distance is not accurate. I was trying to do a 10k this weekend and stopped the run at 6.2 miles. I was doing this with my boyfriend who’s tracker said we had done .25 miles more than Verv did. So I kept going to get to 6.2. Now when I look at the run log is says I did 7.02. This is totally useless data to me if I can’t rely on it. This has happened for a few weeks and I’ve reported it but nothing but “you can go in and edit it” which defeats the purpose and I don’t KNOW how far I am going. I will give it a few more weeks but if it doesn’t stop will cancel before monthly payment. I’m not paying $15 a month for inaccurate data.

Challenges you just right! Love it. I love this app, love how easy and simple it is to use. The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because the app on my iWatch doesn’t seem to integrate with my AirPods. If I’m playing music through my AirPods on my phone and start my run on the iWatch app, it won’t play the coaches notifications through my AirPods; it’ll only tell me when to run/walk/sprint on my iWatch (which I can’t hear with my AirPods). However, if I don’t play any music then the coach’s voice will play on my AirPods. Seems like a big miss to me because I enjoy listening to music or podcast while I run, but am constantly feeling anxious that I’ll miss the coach’s cue. Am I the only one experiencing it?

This app has truly changed my life!. I’ve been using this app for YEARS! Always looking to challenge myself but never could complete the workouts. We’ll back in 2021, I said “enough is enough” and really focused on completing the beginner and intermediate levels. I’m down 53lbs (coupled with keto) and I must say, I LIVE FOR THIS APP! It’s helped with my running! I can run 10min/mile, which is UNBELIEVABLE for me. I’m really proud of myself. You can change the voice of your trainer, there’s music, and just so many ways to personalize this app! It also allows you to take pictures after your runs which helped me to see my progress and document how I was feeling! Running app is the BEST running app out there. Hands down! I’ve tried a few of the others, but I always come back to this one.

Faster and stronger. I originally bought the app a couple of years ago. I fiddled with it but fell of the bandwagon. I started using the app recently since i began a new diet and because of quarantine, had no gym. I started app at beginner level week 4. I could barely run 1/2 a mile. And slow. I am now on my last workout, week 8, and can run 40 minutes non stop. A total of 4.5 miles! And ive also lost 10 lbs!!! I will continue to train on this app and see where it takes me. I use to think I could never run a marathon. But not anymore. Pluses: love the music, they have diff styles. The voices that direct you are great too. You dont have to even think of what to do next. Keeping track of workouts is great Neg: kinda confused on whaT workout to do after you finish your week 8.

I Guess I’m stuck with it. I had accidentally purchased the YEAR subscription a few days ago by accidently clicking on the add that popped up, it took me straight to purchase the year subscription and as I was trying to click out of the whole app on my home button, my finger I.D. had submitted it. I love the interval running and the coaching but I’m dissatisfied with how the Apple Watch doesn’t mirror the app on the phone like other fitness apps do. I have to look at my watch and figure out an estimated time remaining of every interval. I tried to start the workout on my phone and watch at the same time so I could keep track that way but it ended up screwing up and crashing mid run. It also double records my runs to which I have to delete manually. Just a lot of manual work for a $50 app. So far I accident paid $50 to get the benefits of different coach voices and meal plan recipes... kinda a huge ripoff especially since the app doesn’t work well with the Apple Watch.

Don’t Pay for the Subscription. App Review When I first started using this app I loved it. It helped me get back into the routine of running. I noticed I was losing weight and getting stronger. I decided to sign up for the subscription and that’s where my trouble began. The app freezes in the middle of workouts and sometimes right when it ends. It no longer tracks your workouts instead it will delete after one or two days of activity. It has the option for gps for running outside but it only tracked my path twice and the other times I would receive an error message saying it did not know where I was. I reached out to tech support and they were not helpful. I’m just one person who used this app without success but there are others who may have had a better experience. I’m sharing my experience to my FB community just in case someone was considering this app to help them with their New Year’s resolution. I recommend the free version or not at all.

UGH!. I used this app when it was still pretty new, and then let my running and fitness go to the wayside. I decided to finally pick it back up and was SO happy to see this app still available....and in a lot of ways, better! That being said, for the little content the premium provides I do not feel that it’s worth the cost for my uses. So I decided to keep the app after the trial just to use the basic functions....except now every time I open the app it’s tell me to subscribe to the premium content, and will not allow me to exit from their sale ad. Kinda cheesy....and extremely frustrating. Now I cannot even use the app for its basic functions. A serious bummer :(, it really was getting me back into the swing of things.

Great app w/ responsive support!. After a 2-year hiatus from all training, I used this app to get me back into a running routine. I LOVE having a “coach” with me on my runs! I don’t have to think about my workouts—I get to just do them. I began with the Start Running plan, which would be great for anyone just starting. It’s a walk-jog program that just gets you moving. After that, I wasn’t sure which plan to try and sought advice from the Support page. I expected a generic response but instead received thoughtful, detailed guidance specific to my own experience. WOW! I also love that there are 3 workouts per week, which is consistent but not overwhelming—and it’s interval training without having to plan it. I just start my workout and follow the verbal cues. It offers variety while building my speed. I can’t say enough good about this app. I do the premium (not pro), and there are meal suggestions and a water log water and health tips. You also earn badges along the way, which is just kinda fun.

This App Has Truly Improved My Life. I started using this app in September of 2018. I weighed 222 pounds and was very discouraged about my fitness and appearance. I had tried other running apps with little success after burning out. As of today, I now weigh 185.2 pounds and my physical and mental health have both dramatically improved. The app has a variety of plans, but I highly recommend following their beginner weight loss stage 1 religiously. It was tough at first, but slowly my cardiovascular strength increased. I can now run over 3 miles without stopping. I never knew I had this in me. I can now confidently say I am a “runner.” Thank you VERV team for changing my life.

Finally a great running app!. I like running, but get bored easily! So after a week or so, I’m done. This is the 3rd running app I’ve downloaded and I love it!! The others I’ve deleted after a few days because they couldn’t keep my interest. And I just noticed that after my first 8 weeks are done, I can go back and select intermediate and then advanced to get even more running options. The time flies by when interval training with this app too. And I’ve only been using this app for 2 weeks and I’ve gained more stamina. I’m also using the free version and it works great! The pop ups to go premium are a bit annoying, but I get it, that’s how you make money. It doesn’t interrupt the running so it’s all good. I’m excited to update my review after I’m done with my first 8 weeks.

Changed my life. I am 36, it’s the first time that I’ve tried running in my life, always felt scared that would really hurt my knees, and was just too much for me to try, but now: after a month of using this app, I’m staying strong with it, I look forward to the run and to the challenge since it gradually increases intensity of the run. I feel stronger, I feel happier; I haven’t lost much weight: but I can see my actual weight shifting places, I can see more defined leg muscles and pants actually fit better, since my waist is slimming down! Looking forward to finish the 8 week program and start the 5 k program to do one as soon as I can! Very motivated!

Not what I thought it would be. Wishing I would have tried it before buying the premium. This isn’t going to work for me because I don’t run for more than 20-30 minutes due to joint issues. I wanted something that would mimic the coaching at Orangetheory but the only “classes” that are 30 minutes are in either the 5K training or the “start running” programs. There’s way too much walking in the beginner classes and not enough interval running in the 5K classes. The intervals in the longer (intermediate and advanced) classes aren’t great either. I like to keep my jogging at one-two minute intervals and longer (2-3 minute) intervals at “80%”, with the only walking recovery being done after running at “100%”. If you’re looking for something to mimic OTF like I was, this isn’t the app for you. I guess I will just be using it for only the music feature, during a “free run” so I can set my own timeframe and intervals. :-/

Needs some work. Hello so I’m a subscriber to this app… and for the most part I really enjoy your playlist and overall it’s an ok app, but if I might suggest some ideas to help improve it. For example i don’t know if it’s the area or my phone or what but the gps is terrible on it … it keeps saying gps found then like 2 minutes later gps not found or whatever it says and it’s really distracting and if it’s off (which I made sure everything was on and connected) it won’t track my heart rate or any of my stats. Also the whole thing is not very user friendly it’s a bit confusing for someone like me that isn’t to tech savvy. The positives are the music playlists I really enjoy them, and the meal plans are great and not to hard to make. I wish there was an easier way to be able to track my water intake I feel it’s tough to get into that screen all to log a bit of water… but over all I feel these are just some pointers. I really enjoy this app over all and will continue to suscribe I just hope those issues get fixed or worked on a bit. Thank you!

Not great for plant based or vegan diets or people with allergies. I love the idea of the app. I love the way it’s set up. I got the trail and wish it would have worked for me. But the meals didn’t work for me. I wish when you first input your information, eg. are you a beginner runner and how much do you weigh, they asked what kind of diet are you on or if you had any food allergies. And then the meals could be customized to meet your diet needs. Another thing I didn’t like was you couldn’t change the suggested meal. Or maybe I just couldn’t figure out how to do that. I wish it would give you a meal but also there could be a button to view other options Incase you don’t want to eat the suggested meal. I love the running part of the app. If this is ever fixed I would love to be informed because I would get the app.

App is a good tool/ needs some updating. This app has been helpful for getting back into running with (weight loss). Cons- I am 10 weeks in and really haven’t lost but a few pounds (my clothes do fit better). The meals are not realistic and do not have a calorie goal target, so it is just completely useless. The GPS signal loses tracking every minute (literally) where I live, so running music and coaching is interrupted constantly. The water tracking won’t let me hit 128 ounces (1 gallon) which is a standard tracking amount, so I stopped using it as well. Pros- seeing my run first helps me prepare for it and the cues are on point. The music options are pretty good and the sprint have definitely improved my pace. The watch app is great for treadmill runs (it just needs to add a link for water 💧 protection. You can’t have both turned on and be able to see your run). The team is responsive and helpful with questions. Overall, I’m still using it until someone does it better or they iron out the kinks.

Great app with iPhone but terrible with Apple Watch- paid subscription for the year. I love this app and paid for the full year subscription but at first it wouldn’t even open on my Apple Watch. Then that was fixed and the app would function without my phone until about 28 minutes into the run when the coach indicating when to sprint, run, or walk would lag and then the app just crapped out totally and stopped working. All of my history for that workout was gone never to be found again. Also, if you are just using the watch, the music function does not work (not even offered) and so it doesn’t speed up and slow down when appropriate. I’d love to have the app work with my watch before asking for a refund because it has the greatest features

Could be better. The meal plans do not include nutritional facts. I found a music mix that I love but have not had luck finding others that I also really like so I have music variety. It would be awesome if it prompted you for “others who liked this mix, also listen to this one”. The music mixes are longer than the workout time so I never get to hear the second half. Would be cool if it was broken up into segment so I can switch between the first half of mix and second half on alternating days. The app does not recognize that I haven’t worked out for a few days or a week i.e. vacation, so it throws you right into an intense workout instead of scale back/ ease you back into the program. The Premium Club tab never had any content which is annoying because I pay for the app. I will probably cancel after my 6 months and start looking for other options.

Great motivational running app, but no plant-based meal options. This app has been amazing at helping me get back on track with running. It’s been over two years since I last ran and with the advent of my kidneys nearly failing on me and my knees and ankles becoming severely injured from extreme water retention. My doctors thought I was delusional for wanting to run again, but I remember how much running helped me with my joint pain and keep my depression under control so I wanted to do it again! Bought the premium package because I’m at week 3 and never made this much progress over the last 4 months since I’ve started trying to run. I wished the meal plans had vegan options. I went on plant-based diet because it is gentle on my kidneys and heart.

Kinda works?. I am half way through week 4 now- few issues with the app- why do I want to sign up for a year long program that is designed for 8 weeks? I just cannot justify $10 a month for music, meal plans and other trainer voices. There are wayyy too many adds. It asks me 10x a day to pay for the app- which again- I don’t see worth it. Another issue- when you read into the program it says to allow days in between workouts for rest and to prevent injuries- but the program is 3 times a week- so if you start Sunday, (rest 2) Wednesday, (rest 2) Saturday... then you have to start back again Sunday in order to get 3 workouts in again the following week- which isn’t a rest between Saturday and Sunday. If you did as directed, week 2 would only have 2 workouts (Tuesday and Friday), and then week 3 (Monday, Thursday) and then start the cycle back over again week 4. The app does not recognize rest days as intended. Also have issues with the app not recognizing miles on inside workouts.

Great app!. I really love this app. I definitely see myself improving in my runs! I honestly hate running by this app definitely pushes me to accomplish my goals. I’m not necessarily using the app to lose weight, but to mainly get my endurance up. I know a lot of ppl complain about the fact that’s it’s only three times a week. I really don’t follow it lol I take a day break in between and go to the gym on the off days. I honestly wouldn’t get the membership because it just doesn’t make sense to. Only thing I wish is that there would be better ways to track indoor runs. I run on an indoor track sometimes and it doesn’t track my mileage’s or speed correctly like it does for outdoor run. Overall!!! Amazing app

Huge Thumbs Down - App won’t even load!. Terrible!! App won’t even load - crashes within less than a second. Unable to cancel the free trial which leads into monthly payment plan! I’ve had to resort to contacting Apple to rid this thing from my phone - Do not waste your time!

Disappointing. Music is great but stops / pauses every time a notification comes through on my phone. When you finish your workout, loads of things pop up wanting you to share your workout When you have finished your workout, it’s difficult to find a way to stop the music The meal plan is very low calorie and unrealistic. The motivational cues are cheesy. I selected an intermediate run programme but it is still aimed at beginners with easy ratios of run/walk. Don’t waste your money like I did! I use it just for the music mixes and to keep my brain busy with the run/walk cues!

Good app but not worth paying each week for it. I’m going to cancel this subscription just before the first week ends. It’s always disappointing when you download a free app and then there’s a cost after 7 days. It’s more expensive than a gym membership at its minimum charge.

What do I need to pay?. Really love the app and starting to get real value out of using it, but I’m a little annoyed by the subscription and what it covers. I’m really confused as I thought I subscribed/paid to the premium plan after my trial period, only to be asked to subscribe and pay again for the music also?? Would like to understand what is included in the premium plan.

Disappointing. This not a cheap App, however I have purchased it on and off believing it may improve. Sadly this is not the case, after not being able to connect to the music again (5 runs in a row now), I will not continue my subscription. This was why I stopped using it before. I have found their tech support next to useless.

Good but with faults. Love the times it gives you and the Intervalls - so easy to get back into running and actually challenging but fun. Insanely annoying is that it keeps loosing GPS and keeps repeating “gps lost” “gps found” etc And I run syndey cbd so no real reason for no GPS. Other than that quite happy

$$$ for nothing. $67 a year (or $25 a month) for an app that tells you to run in order to lose weight. Just run... If you’re new to running, start slow and build up to slowly. You don’t need an overpriced app to tell you this.

Doesn’t work on iWatch. When on iWatch using cellular without phone does not record distance accurately Each run though on the same route was recorded as a different length and was off by a factor of several kilometres I raised a ticket with support and after several weeks of no contact I got a generic email saying ‘we’re on it’ My ticket was then closed and the watch app still doesn’t work. My verdict... use Strava. It works.

Great!. Finally an app that is free and allows you to do training courses! Only thing is that 1 workout used half of my phone battery. If this could be fixed it’ll be perfect. I’ll be downloading the fitness app as well as the mind app. Thanks RedRock!

Be careful with the fees!. Downloaded this app a few days ago and now, checking my bank account, just found that they took 80+$! I didn’t allow to pay that when I downloaded, this is so disrespectful with the costumer! You guys should advise properly before that.

Love this app!. I’ve been using this app on and off for years and the results are amazing! If you follow this training it works!! I am currently struggling to get the programs coming up on my iwatch though.

They only care about money. They make the subscription section as complicated as possible so that even when you try to set it up so you don’t automatically pay the $60, you get charged anyway. I’ve contacted them multiple times to get this fixed and they act like it’s not their problem. They don’t care about customer care, they just want your money. They are hoping you don’t figure out how to change your settings so you get charged. It’s basically a scam.

Running was a joy. Used for the first time back today. Best app out there

Running app!. It's great I absolutely love and recommend it it's made me so much fitter these past weeks ❤️❤️❤️

Do not buy. I bought this app years ago when it used to be a one time subscription. Then a few years later they charged me again. A Lot. Now I’ve changed phones and reinstalled app and it won’t let me reinstate my subscription and is asking me to pay for premium membership again. Can’t believe it. How many people have the ripped off?

Get rid of the constant pop ups and it’s a good app.. I really think this app is well designed and has a good premise, but man, every time I click on something, it’s a pop up to upgrade, a pop up to download another of their apps, a pop up to upgrade, and a pop up to upgrade. Is annoying me enough to go premium? Almost, but not enough to make me give it a good review. Edit based on response from app owner: after receiving what appears to be a generic response (I’ve read some of the other reviews and the response is almost word-for-word) from the app owner about ‘enjoying the app for free’, that is the problem. How can you ‘enjoy’ a free app that bombards you with pop ups every time you click on a different option? It’s a terrible user experience.

Paid for the app and it doesn’t work. I downloaded and paid for this app today, filled in all my details and was eager to start but the app is frozen and won’t let me hit ‘start’ on day one. I tried exiting the app and turning my phone off but can’t get it to work. I’ve used this app before and loved it, I’m so disappointed.

Not worth the download NOT FREE. This app states there is a free version of the app. What complete rubbish. I can’t even get past the start up page as it requests either a 7 day free trial or to pay up front. People like to use “free/lite” versions of an app for more than 7 days to work out if they will like/use it or not and not have to worry about when a free trial will expire so they don’t purchase an app that they may not use! If there is such a thing of free version please state the steps to access this!

Wish it was still free!. I used to love this app but I can no longer use it because it requires a payment now. I used to be able to use it as a free version with ads..

Some issues. I really like this app and the training however my issue is when you click begin if you lock your screen prior to the countdown finishing to commence the app won’t continue, therefor it won’t register that you have started and you won’t find out until you finish and you realise you haven’t logged anything in the app. I input the workout into my Garmin so I don’t have to listen to the audio queue, but I still would like the app to register that I have done the workout. I now have about 4 half completed workouts in the app itself due to this issue.

Love this app. I been a runner for years I often find myself bored and looking for new fun ways to improve my running! I don’t have to think about it the trainer tells me when to run ect. Only thing I would critique is the play lists. They need new ones to be added almost fortnightly for us that use the app every day. I think it was months before they updated them and that sucked.

Trying to cancel. Much to my discussed. After spending $60 on an app I didn’t use. A year later they charged my card again. No where did I agree to an on going subscription and I couldn’t find it on my phone anywhere. It has taken me month to find it and now I can see any link to unsubscribe or request a refund on the amount taken for the second year. I would like a reply please and a refund.

Photos pause workout even if you don’t take one and just close that window to see your stats. Can w role add make it not do that if you just press the x. Thanks

It’s making me pay and not letting me use the free version. I used to love this app and have referred it to many many friends, but all out of sudden it got stuck. I have stoped running for a while and now I want to go back using the app on the free version and it’s simply showing a page with the monthly paid trial plus subscription and not letting me leave this option to go ahead to free version. The only thing I changed on my settings was to intermediate stage 1 (not pro version) and now its stuck into this stupid page! Can somebody reply on this please?

Good app. I mostly enjoy this app, it’s motivating and helped me get back into my running. However I feel the distance isn’t accurate and is inconsistent. The app tells me “half way” at a different part of the same track each time. Might take my Apple Watch to double check this. Also the meal plans aren’t adjustable which is concerning as not every eats all food groups.

Don’t pay!. This app is has some issues. If you use a smart watch to run the app, you cant hear the audio queue very well, and, if you use head phones for music, the watch app will not play audio queue over the music on your headphones, it will however if you play the on your phone. If you prefer treadmill running the app doesn’t calc running distance, surely easily done while running with a smart watch or a phone. While on treadmill running, it takes the app audio queue so long to spit out if you are to run walk or sprint, you can miss sprint because they may only be for 15 seconds, so by time you hear what you need to do, you have 10 seconds to change the speed of the treadmill and do so.. good luck. One more suggestion, show on the screen on the phone/ watch, what’s coming up next. I accidentally paid for this app, my wife uses the free version, it’s the same. I geeked ripped off.

Motivational Cues. I am enjoying the app I would like more talking from the trainer with a count down to keep you motivated to hang in there

5 star. This app is well designed for all level of runners, i started as a beginner worked my way to advance level,

Doesn’t work with Apple Watch. My iPhone 12 Pro Max is too heavy to carry while running so I only carry my Apple Watch series 6 with mobile data. This app doesn’t work with Apple Watch. Honestly for $24/month (AUD), it’s a complete disgrace that this function is not included.

Best running app yet. Great app, hasnt broken and I’ve been using it a long time. Basic app is good but there are some good features with a subscription

Violet. Used to love this app then about 2 years ago stopped working with Apple Watch - now have graded watch and phone, paid premium access and watch and phone don’t sync activity, can get past week 1 day1 on watch and music doesn’t allow for cue to be heard ... disappointing that the same complain as mine was made 2018 and still not resolved

Only works with expensive subscription.. App needs to be upfront about the expensive subscription. It’s not mentioned in the information in the App Store or until you have put all your details in. If you can’t use it without paying $60 upfront you should say so.

A. I really like this app because it’s very good when u go for a run the music changes and it’s very useful 5 out of 5 💕💕

Usually great however now forcing a purchase. I have reopened the app after a couple of weeks and now have an offer page to subscribe that I cannot get past. Unappreciated.

Looking for the free version I’ve used in the past?. I’ve used this app in the past for free and it’s great, some little annoying things but programme works. When downloading it from App Store to use again it looks like the free version has disappeared. As I don’t want to pay US dollars from Australia I won’t be going with this one. Is there still a free version?

Fantastic!. Best running app I have ever used. I’ve just come to the end of week 5 and I’m addicted! The app uses up a lot of battery even if you use it in the lock position but that is partly to do with my old iPhone 6 battery. Other than that, I can’t fault it - I’ve lost 4kg and my cardio fitness has improved SO MUCH! This app is legendary!

Very useful. This had made my cardio workouts really easy sometimes I don’t have time to do one up on my own so I use this practically all the time now for a quick cardio session outdoors 👍🏽

Not bad. I expected more motivational prompts through out the day like the drink water prompts. Things like if you miss a day or a week. I paid premium and I really can't see why. It's not any better.

Best running app. I have always wanted to run for long distances but always quit when things get to hard. This app motivates me and keeps me on track and makes it fun to reach goals it’s great for beginners and help you become an advanced runner love love love this app

100% total relateable & just a nice high quality. atheletic support reliably a very good quality recording device! For athetes & regûlar fit Australian (qualified) citizens! Useful even for any good summer festive season exercise!

No body type. It was advertised on twitter that it tailors to your body type, it doesn’t. I’d also like a workout overview, to be able to see progress and the finish line as I go. A timeline.

Fantastic motivation but GPS/calorie burn count questionable. I love this app for helping to build my fitness in a sustainable, gradual and safe way. It is motivating and the music option is excellent. Unfortunately the GPS distance settings/calorie counter appears to be inaccurate (over-stating calorie burn and distance by about 30% which isn't insignificant). I have used many running apps over the last 15 years and know my usual route distances and calories like the back of my hand. The app also struggled to connect to Runkeeper automatically and support told me to delete the app and redo load but I didn't want to lose my run history so haven't. Apart from that (I just use the runkeeper app in the background for more accurate tracking) I highly recommend this app.

Forest Gump. Great App. Very motivating. Makes me want to run even during the walk sections....unfortunately legs and lungs can’t keep up with brain (yet)!

Love it!. I’ve been using this app on and off for over a year now and I’ve had great success with it, it helped me lose more than 4 kilos at the start of my weight loss journey and has more recently increased my fitness exponentially as well as helping me shake a few kilos I gained back over my exam period. The only recent problem I’ve been having is the GPS. Since the last update it keeps not being able to find a signal for the first 1.5km of my run which makes the whole thing inaccurate and it’s really frustrating not having my major running milestones recorded.

Pay wall. Used to love this app, happy you guys have sale prices but it’s a real pain not being able to get past the pay wall to keep running. Is this a glitch? Or do you only offer a paid version?

Lots of playlists. This app has a lot of playlists to choose from, and music pace changes between running and walking. There is a good range of workouts to choose from too. You get periodic feedback on pace etc., which is great. You can also choose to have positive reassurance along the way by styles of different ‘trainers’. I would like an option to select my distance e.g. 5 km and for the playlist, with feedback, to go for this period and gradually increase walking to more running. The options for distance in the app as it is, are only what you build up to, e.g. 5km program starts with around 3kms and works up to 5km after 7 weeks.

Great motivation. Great to motivate you to keep pushing yourself and keep going, I don’t seem to push myself as much when not using the app

Stuck behind paywall. I used to love this app. I got a new phone and reinstalled it to use it again and I don’t have any option except to sign up for a paid training plan where there was a free ad version in the past. Worse yet; I get random different (more expensive) pricing each time I try to see if I can avoid it. Really disappointing as if I’d gotten back into the habit I would have probably bought a subscription but I’ll go use a different app now 👎

Good app. The app itself I’m happy with and I’ve nearly finished my first running program. The problem is the app support which is pretty terrible. The support team don’t appear to be able to speak English and therefore are unable to be able to provide support! There are 3 different prices listed for the monthly app subscription and I’m being charged the highest one. When I contacted support to ask why, they were unable to answer and did not seem to understand my question!

No injuries for me!. This is great for those who are injury prone. For me this program eased me into running and steadily built my muscle strength without any injuries. It was a great platform to get me start towards my half marathon goal.

Love this app. I don’t love running but I love running with this and I love everything that it has to offer.

Rejuvenating. Only a few days in and already I'm sleeping better, I wake up feeling invigorated and ready to attack the day

Subscription based. Used this app a while ago when it was free. Tried to download it to use it again since I’m trying to get fit again and it’s a subscription now. Disappointing since I actually loved using it. ☹️

Not a fan. The ad and details seemed so good, I like the “workouts” but there’s no goal setting nor does it actually tell you what your workout plan is.

Great running app. Awesome app for any level of runner!

NOT FREE. I was so excited to download the app just to find out to do anything within the app you have get a subscription. I did choose 7 free day trail to see how the app (just got ensure you delete the subscription after 7 days so it doesn’t go into auto renewal mode . Also shocked and disappointed that you can’t track your runs in km only miles, as a Canadian runner I find this annoying

Not worth it. Not really a plan, just some random run schedules

Lose the word “Quit”. I actually really do like this app. But one thing that really bothers me, is the fact that when I am finished my workout and press stop I am asked “are you sure you want to QUIT?“ I’m not quitting, my workout is just finished. I really don’t like your use of the word “quit”. I wish you would change that.

Good features when they work. I'm excited about the features there are available, but I have found that they only work half the time. Even after having reloaded the app I am still having trouble accessing some of the spots you should be able to choose options. I know you can choose them, because they worked at least once for me.

My app stopped working. My app didn’t work today when I got to the gym

What happened to the free version?. Took a break from running and when I decided to start again I was excited to use the app. I have always used the free version as I have no need for a plan. When I went to use the app I am now forced to pick a plan. That is disappointing because I really liked this app in the past.

Waste of Time. You lose all credibility when you say hey download app for free, then we go through all your questions and then before we ever get to use your app, you ask for money? These tactics don’t work anymore. Less trickery and more value will get you a larger user base. If your app is good, people will want to pay for more features.

Used to hate running mom. Always hated running as it’s boring but with that application adjusting the rhythm and coaching it’s not Boring and I don’t have to push myself that hard every day to go run . This app is motivating

It doesn’t provide anything that you can do for yourself. It doesn’t provide anything that you not do for yourself. It only tracks how much you run, which to me is a waste of money paying for something that just keeps a record of how long you run for.

Super application!. Seul bémol, il calcule en mile et non en km.

No mention of in- app purchase. Please indicate this on your app so we don’t waste our time thinking it’s free. Thank you!

Best Experience During a Run. I love the interval training and I will be using this to prepare for my first big race. Best resource for challenging yourself and staying engaged.

Great app!. Absolutely the best running app available. Super easy to use!!! I am loving it!! I just wish there was a way to have the distance in km instead of miles!

Why pay?. First. What the ad videos showed, and what I got were very different. This was no better and if not worse then most the free running apps. Not happy. Should really report for false advertising

Wow! This app is Perfect.....almost!. Really fun to use, it worth the prenium price! Coach Bob and I are now best friend. It gave me the push I needed! But this app would be perfect if we could change the setting in km instead of miles and if we could download your awsome music mix in the Apple Watch

Love it!. I am new to running and I am loving this app! The design is very well done and very easy to use!

Great app. Challenges you at whatever level you’re at, music is motivating and is great to run to. My only complaint, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the music cuts out the second the workout is over, mid song and everything! Would be much nicer if the music continued to play until you closed the app.

Love it. Keeps me on track with my runs

Bait and Switch. Don’t bother. This App costs $15/month. It is not free as is implied because the only option once installed is to purchase the subscription. Delete!

Stay away. I downloaded this to try out the free 7 day trial then 5 minutes later after downloading the app my subscriptions on my iPhone showed I was signed up for a year. I want my money back. This is ridiculous.

Course. Très bon app pour courir et perdre du poids je suis motivée Merci

Lots of issues.. I had Premium- worked great 1st year, after renewal the music was gone, when I removed & reinstalled due to multiple problems, I have not been able to restore purchase as it can not connect to server. Have requested a refund. Disappointed as I liked it last year when I got the app.

Disappointed. App does not read data from iheath.

Amazing. It’s an amazing up. I’ve been using it for years. When you want to start running this is the perfect up for it. I love it. It reminds me to drink enough water true a day and give you a nice ideas for food.

Ok motivator. App glitches whether in wifi or data. Min/mi never calculates but bounces on and off during workout.

Perfect for training. I really enjoy this app and how it progresses

Focus and this App now 20 pounds lighter. Just finished 3 months of running the beginner program and now 20 pounds lighter. Moving on to intermediate. Great app to keep you motivated.

Free app?. I am not able to use the app for free....insisting I sign up for premium....??

sad there’s no free version anymore. I used to use this app and it’s the only one i ever saw results in but i came back after a few years to find out it’s mandatory to get premium, and they don’t tell you until you go through all the questions.

Miles to kilometres. I LOVE this app and all the different training plans. The only thing I would like to see different in this app is the ability to switch from miles to kilometres.

Running App. This App is great for training. I like how it is set up. However, I sometimes when my phone sleeps during the run the app forgets to voice command me the next level.

Music speed. Good app. But a bit confusing to change levels when you pick a level that is too hard Also music sync with your own playlist in premium features are not the best

J’adore!. Superbe app, facile et stimulante!

Glitchy. I find that this app had everything I needed but during my workout this morning it kept pausing and shutting down and I feel that that interrupts the flow of my workout because I kept having to pull the app out of my pocket to reset and start my workout. I was really excited about getting the subscription. Hopefully this is an issue that can be fixed.

Great for running, not so great for nutrition. Love the app when it comes to tracking progress and creating great workout programs catered to the user’s goals, but I was very unimpressed with the dietary suggestions that are not so customizable. As a longtime plant-based Vegan, I found the recipe/food suggestions portion made me question the qualifications of the creators of this app. I am sure plenty of the target audience refrains from consuming animal products as part of their healthy lifestyle, so I know I’m most likely among many users who agree with this call to action. Telling someone who is trying to take charge of their health that consuming animal products is counterproductive and providing them with misinformation. This is especially true when it comes to female users who gain weight due to hormonal imbalances such as PCOS. If I am going to pay for an app, and therefore fund the app’s success, I should at least be given the option of seeing more healthy, cruelty-free, and environment-conscious food suggestions, wouldn’t you agree? (Update/response to the app: this isn’t about anyone’s feelings being hurt... It’s about spreading misinformation. Your response didn’t solve the issue at hand.)

Entraîneur ordinaire. Hardly a “trainer”

App keeps stalling. Love this app, but it continues to keep freezing and won’t let me continue. I’ve had to delete and reinstall it twice, losing all previous data. Frustrating since iam paying for the premium membership

ongoing charges. Note: this is a subscription based app and you will be charged over again every month although this is not mentioned anywhere. There is a lot of pressure to upgrade but it's not worth it. The capabilitis of the app are pretty limited.

Payment. Where is the month to month payment option?

Family Sharing not available. This is a good app, but it’s a bit pricey to pay for twice. If they allowed you to share your purchase with your spouse it would make it worth it.

Great app. This app took me from a beginner runner, barely able to run 1 min to being able to run 4 miles with no stops in 6 months. I lost 30 lbs in this time (while also watching my diet of course) and I have never felt better. It has great guidance and increases the intensity and duration of each workout slowly. I paid $90 for a lifetime membership and it was worth every penny. The only two very small setbacks are that the meal plan is hard to follow if your a vegan or vegetarian as there are limited recipes and the other is that there is a glitch with getting achievement rewards when you finish a stage. Not a big deal it’s nice to be rewarded for your hard work though. I reached out for support and their tech support still hasn’t corrected the issue two months later. To make the app better it would be nice to have more recipes, create ‘running groups’ for members to connect and motivate each other, and a mile counter so that you can track mileage on your shoes and it reminds you when you should look at getting a new pair of shoes.

A little awkward. The app doesn’t let you move around with ease. Says it’s fit bit compatible but it not- it’s been documented as not working since 2018 no fix.

New subscription requirement. I got this app years ago and when I switched phones it does not honour my premium membership which I paid for. After updating now the app requires a subscription membership which is ongoing payments. Very upset.

Won’t cancel and refund my money. I downloaded the app about two days ago and accidentally hit the subscribe button. I sent them an email right away but after 24 hours no replies yet so I sent a follow up email. Still nothing.

App. Great app for interval training cannot get heart beat measured while wearing a chest strap

I love the free version!. I have been using this app for several years now. It has dropped my run down time every time I use it to train. When I go on a hiatus from Running I just turn my app back on and get back in the shape rather quickly. I have suggested it to several friends, and some of them love this app as well. The problem we face however is my friend now is not able to get the free version like myself. We are not able to purchase the subscription so it is disappointing that she is not able to at least have the free version. What’s that about!?

Great workouts, but app needs improvement. The app does not function well with the Apple Watch, there is no way for it to run on the watch and the phone simultaneously. It also does not function if your screen locks, has to be up in active the whole time in order to give you your prompts. However, I think the workouts are effective and challenging so I will continue to use this app, but now I know the optimal way that works for me is to leave the app up and running on my phone and then to track a separate workout on my Apple Watch to monitor my time and distance. I would recommend this app for a treadmill run but maybe not necessarily for an outdoor run where it is hard to be constantly monitoring your phone.

WASTE OF MONEY!! DO NOT BUY!!. Agent told me to download music to My Mixes for offline playback. I did that for all of my mixes, yet they do not stay downloaded. I have to download them every time I use the app. And they still don’t work all the time. I just downloaded a playlist for offline playback this morning, and the music still cut out. Only played music for half of my run. Although the app has a lot of mixes to choose from, it doesn’t help when the music keeps stopping during my workout. Has done this consistently.

Love this app!!. I have been running for 7 years and have been loyal to Runtastic but this is my new go to app! I have a knee injury and I’ve been using the running for weight loss which is a guided run/Walk series. It has helped tremendously at strengthening my knee and I’ve been running faster miles. Today I’ve started the marathon training and I’m super excited to continue using this app. I highly recommend it. The only bummer is with the warm up and cool down it’s super hard to figure out min/miles... or maybe I just can’t figure it out.

Calorie count a little off.. I love this app, I’ve ran to with about 6 times now and start both the app and Apple Watch Run Mode at the same time however, I did notice that the app was giving me about 100+ calories more than the Apple Watch. If you are really big into accurate calorie count I would string more to the Apple Watch. The app does have really good music mixes as well as nutrition plans. I’ve read some reviews with the coach being silenced during the screen off. I personally have not ran into this issue and my screen is off for the full run. Great app!

It helped me a lot. I would like to say that i really liked this app. I just used the basic free version. The beginners. I lost 15 pounds by sticking to doing one session per day. I would say in average five days per week and only maybe twice a month did i double up on the running sessions. I ran/walked daily for 45 minutes. I even finished the weeks faster. When i moved to the intermediate i liked it a lot as well. For people who dont hAve motivTion to run by themselves this app helps a lot. It builds one up and helps one progress in speed and agility.

Great when it works!. Let me say that I love this app. I use it 1-2 times a week to get some running in my workouts. I’ve probably used it for 2-3 months now and twice, it has stopped working mid workout. Usually it happens when the auto update person tries to alert you at the same time as the “trainer.” I’m not sure how to fix this. Again, it hasn’t happened much, but it definitely ruins my workout mood when I count on it and I have to keep looking at my phone to see when I’m supposed to run/sprint/etc. I won’t give up on it, just hope it stops glitching!

Love this. I love that this app keeps track of every detail of my running, provides playlists, meal options, reminds me to drink water, and prompt for feedback about the difficulty of my exercise. My one complain is that the meals are a little...lavish. I’d have to go to the grocery store every day to have the ingredients they call for because they’re not average household items. Some things I’ve never heard of, like coconut aminos, and I’m pretty adventurous with my food. To have three meals and two snacks everyday that I have to shop for gets difficult.

Freezes at random times. This app has always been hit or miss, but with recent updates it has become impossible to use. The last couple of times I’ve tried to use it it locks up at random points in the run. During a three minute run section yesterday I checked my watch and it had been close to five minutes. I pulled out the phone and the app had frozen at 1:40. Had to reboot phone. Restarted from the next segment, made it through a few segments and it froze again during another run. The only way to make sure it’s working is to hold the phone in my hand and check it every 10 seconds or do. Really, you can’t make a timer work? Also, the app now just absolutely eats my battery. If my phone isn’t at 100% when I start there is no way it will make it through a 35 minute run.

Nearly Perfect !. I absolutely love this app! The motivation and feedback for my runs is amazing. Not only do i have the support I need for my runs but the meal plan recipes are amazing, taste great, and there are so many I am never bored with my diet. I am actually learning to cook and the whole family is impressed and benefiting from it. My only complaint is that the app should ask if the user has allergies and adjust the meal plan accordingly. I have a shellfish allergy and it would be nice to have that customization. However you can save your favorite recipients and just substitute when you need to.

Recent problems. I really loved this app until the last week. I am about to start week 7 of the 8 week program and during my last two runs, the app shut down my phone on a full battery with about 10 minutes left in a 45 minute workout. I had been loving this program until now. It got me motivated to run again after pretty much giving up on being a runner. I loved the integrated playlists and basically everything about this app, but now I'm frustrated with it. Not only does it shut down my phone, but I also don't have accurate training info for my last two runs. I'm giving it one more try and if it happens again, I will sadly be canceling my subscription.

I can’t even get in the app without signing up for the free trial?. I downloaded this app the other day, but I can’t figure out how to get past the sign in stuff. I don’t want to hook up my debit card information to my apple account just to sign up for a free trial you are forcing me to do. I can’t do anything in the app unless I do that though. I don’t find that fair. I haven’t even tried it out nor seen how it works. I’m a 16 year old just trying to get ready for cheer. There’s plenty of running apps out there that won’t force me to do their free trial right off the bat and I hope others see that too. Using these tactics to force people into signing up and then making money off of it when people forget to unsubscribe is utterly unfair. Don’t force us into a free trial or premium in order to even sign up to use the app.

I was in love, now I’m in hate. I honestly really enjoy this app. It helps me with interval running even though it drains out my battery. The problem is that the moment it updated its terms, I was not able to open the app. I figured it was just a bug so I deleted and tried downloading again.... quick fix, right? Nope! Now I can’t even download it because the app size is too big and can only be downloaded with WiFi? What?! I need it now. Very conveniently, there is a smaller sized app that seems to be the exact same app but for $1.99. What’s the difference? I looked at the reviews and pictures... everything seems to be the same except the size of it. Can’t I just go back to being happy with this app?

This is a great app, but some major flaws. First, this is a great app that changes up your ruining routine and gets you in shape. However, I find it frustrating that there is no easy way to start a training plan over. While you can go back and run a same workout, there is no way to repeat the whole training program without resetting the whole entire program, losing your past data. Not ideal for progressive training. Also, the watch app is very far behind. Would be great if I could get the same coaching feedback info from my watch that I do if I still ran with my phone. It’s 2021, running with an iPhone is so 6 years ago especially with a heavy iPhone 12 Max Pro. The watch UI could also use an update, I much prefer to have all the stats, plus the HR on one screen so I don’t have to keep flipping screens during a run. You could get rid of the icons in the stats screen and have more screen Real estate. The main screen, would be ideal if I could see more clearly what’s up next. Lastly, what’s with the watch not recording elevation gain during my run.

Could be so much better. I like this app for running and the pace it sets with each program. You can listen to your own music with it, a major plus. But it can be so much better by including 2 simple things right off the bat. 1. When finished with a work out you should be able to maybe press and hold an ‘end workout’ button instead of having to press several different screens to end 2. You should be able to view ALL workout history/stats somewhere, instead of just that particular program I mean for a $9.99 monthly membership, let’s get it together. You haven’t made any changes or updates to your app worth mentioning in over two years.

Good for training, not just weight-loss. What I love about this app is the adaptable ways it may be used. I use it along with other apps to customize a running program. The run/walk/sprint ratios in the training programs available in the free version are smart! For a young beginner, this would be an excellent (improved) couch-to-5K. For older runners, the mix is great for involving different muscle groups and pushing to build cardio fitness. In my experience, the only point of improvement would be the recorded training prompts. I’d rather have feedback and tips from real trainers (in their voices) than canned announcers. Still, five stars from me!

Good app, lots of bugs. I like this app quite a bit and having been using it for a few months. Lately, it has stopped cuing the directions and it makes the whole process frustrating and negates the purpose for having an app. In certain weeks, the stats and cues interrupt each other and you miss the cue entirely. I like that the app gradually builds up duration and intensity. It’s pretty steady through week 4, but after that, it jumps up way more quickly each day...you go from running a max of 3 mins, one minute walk to the 2:45 run/sprint to 5:1:5. It’s fine, just a big departure from the first half of the program and was a little jarring. If they can fix the bugs I highly recommend.

Not flexible & pricey. I tried this app for 5.99 for a couple days however I don’t like that you can’t change runs or make new custom interval runs. You can only use the plain free run which isn’t set for intervals. You can only use their set intervals and if you jump ahead to more challenging days it wants you to go back to complete the easier days. So for the price I am highly disappointed. I was able to download runinterval for life for only 1.99 and you can customize your run interval and tracks the same things. There should have been a free trial for people to try this app out before buying but that is another downfall and reason for my low rating, that was available only a discount of 5.99 :(

Helpful app, few concerns. I used this app earlier, overall I like this app. However, this app has a few disappointing bugs; 1. when I try to pause the workout ( for example I am waiting to cross the road), it immediately resumes the workout. So the workout never pauses even for a minute. 2. When I complete the workout, it doesn’t show the summary of my run. Instead I have to explicitly stop the workout to see my workout summary. I used this app back in 2018, I never encountered such issues. Fix these annoying bugs; looking forward to using it with an updated patch release.

Not intuitive. I love the option to choose your coach and select the training plan that works for you. It is super awesome that they tell you exactly what to eat too! My biggest complaint is that it is super difficult to edit workouts. It doesn’t ask me before each one if it will be outdoors or on a treadmill- I did see that option once but now I can’t find it again to switch. I have also tried to add other workouts and meals I did/ate outside of the app but it’s not friendly in that way.

Apple Watch “app” has no interactive purpose, price spike. All the watch extension of this app does is remind you to drink water, if you set it to do so - but they also come from your phone, so it’s not that special. You can’t see the progress/stages of your run on the watch screen. I wear my phone on my arm band when I run, and I hate having to stop my run to look at my progress. You have this function on the full Verv app, so I know you can make this happen. Get it done! Update: the price for this app has spiked overnight, and there are features missing from the free trial. Don’t buy this app - the functions of this app are part of the larger VERV app, which costs exponentially less with more features than this one by itself. #deleted

Great App. I’ve been using this app for about a year now I really rely on it to give me A foundation for good running habits. I’m usually a summertime runner so I started using this in the winter on my treadmill and doors to keep me moving and not lose my stamina. I love that it syncs to my playlist I like the motivational cues and I like the interval training that gets incrementally more difficult with each run. I sometimes have glitches in the music or connectivity I’m not sure what the problem is but it doesn’t happen that frequently anymore.. overall grade up I will be using this for a very long time.

Great app, but expensive subscription. I've been using the app now for about two weeks. It's definitely helped me to get used to running again after not doing it for so long. The ads are really annoying! I wish there were a flat fee to open up certain portions of the app permanently, such as the second stages of the running for weight loss. I can't see myself spending three dollars every month for a year to buy them. Especially if I don't plan on using any other feature in the app. 10 dollars for all of the workouts and no ads seems fair. Otherwise I really enjoy it.

Love it!. I am loving this app so far! I never review apps, so this is saying a lot. I have always hated running but this app has helped me run and burn calories without feeling like i'm dying! Yes, I do find myself being challenged but I am not miserable while doing it. I am only on week 2, but my speed and endurance have increased significantly! I am using the free version, and keep in mind that you can still listen to music through your phone while using this app. Would recommend to anyone who would like to become a better runner, especially people who find themselves struggling a lot when running.

Excited for My Next Run!. I used to be a runner but over the past few years I lost all motivation. I was out of shape and couldn’t run the distance or pace I was used to. It was frustrating and I made every excuse not to do it. I like the interval training program because it makes the run feel more achievable mentally. Running for a few minutes at a time doesn’t seem so bad. I am only on week 1, second run and I hope I can keep up with the next few workouts and be stronger! It has been a few years since I could run 4 miles with relative ease. I’m excited to get to that point!

Just finished level 1! 10 pounds down!!. Love this app. In late March I decided to take on this app and complete the first level. I couldn’t run a mile. I’m athletic but I was very out of shape. 8 weeks later I’m in love with running I’ve dropped ten pounds and have ten more to go! But more than anything else I love running again. In 8 weeks I can run 3.5-4 miles straight and run five days a week! I want to run! This is such a great app! I love the stats and the ways you can track your progress. I feel so much pride from completing this and it didn’t feel like that much work. I suffer from anxiety and my anxiety is almost gone.

Great, but recent problems. I’ve used this app for years and have paid for a premium subscription. Has always been worth it to have training plans, music, and coaching cues. I have had issues in this past year. The music went away and I considered cancelling, but then music came back! Awesome. Currently, the coaching cues aren’t working. Accidentally deleted app from my phone and now can’t log back in because no password but now requires passcode sent to my email. Oh, there’s no easy avenue to get a passcode. Ugh! No problems for years using this app 3/wk and now they are pretty frequent. Please get it together!!!

Great app with room for improvement. It got me running and set running goals. I subscribed to the premium features and I have enjoyed the extra perks thoroughly. Unfortunately, the app is quite unstable. Music feature has stopped working. I reinstalled the app and music came back. But then my data from past runs were lost. I learned my lesson my lesson not to uninstall and reinstall as I am almost finished with the 10k program. However, music stopped running once again. When I reached out to the developer, I was told that they are aware of the issue, but proposed no solution. I hope they provide a new update soon to address that issue.

Great app for new runners !. I began using this app about 2.5 years ago. I am an active and fit female in my 50s. I didn’t want/need to lose weight, but I had always disliked running. I wanted to conquer that so I tried a few apps and finally found yours. I have gone from beginning level one through intermediate level two. When I began, I could barely run a block and now I’m doing 10ks. My mile time has dropped from 14mins to under 10mins so I’ve accomplished a great deal. Next up I want to try for a half-marathon in 2020 so we shall see what the future holds.

Kept me running. I’ve been trying to get back into running. I got sidelined by pregnancy, c section, not having a baby jogger or sitter, a severely ill husband, and sudden single mommy hood. I finally got a baby jogger and went 2x. I have gained so much weight I’m miserable and nothing seems to change it. Well I’ve downloaded countless apps and this one asked for a lifelong subscription or free trial for days and then a 6 month subscription. I loved the run. I did more than I expected and I was happy! I just feel bit ripped off on price. If they said try it and buy in next 24 hours buy the lifetime I would have been much happier.

No more crashes. Ever since the update, this app runs as smooth as can be! I am actually losing weight for the first time and I feel great going it! I also like that you can now track mileage on indoor mode. But I don’t carry my phone when I run on the treadmill so I don’t really use that feature. I think a cool additional feature would be able to edit distance in real time of the workout for a more accurate pace reading OR treadmill mode that lets you input your walking/running/sprint speed for accurate distance, pace, and calories burned. All around a great app that really works!

Great so far!. I am a week into this app and am so happy I bit the bullet and got a 6month subscription. For future readers, we are currently in Coronavirus-lockdown mode in the US, and getting outside is my saving grace! This app is helping me run smarter and faster after only 5 sessions. It makes me feel so grateful to be out and about. The only feedback I’d give is for the developers to read through the materials and check for anything that could be more specific (for example, some of the cooking instructions on the recipes are a little vague!) dummies like me need all the specificity we can get! ;) Thanks for a great app!!!

Worth going premium!. I am now on week 6 of the Running for Weight loss for beginners and I absolutely love it. It's been very hard for me to stick to a consistent plan but this gets me excited to run. The mods are great as well, you have several languages to choose from so I set mine to my native language, Russian. Although there a few (I've only caught 3) grammatical errors in translations, it's pretty awesome to be coached by Michael (I call him Misha) in Russian! The music selection is great, the water consumption and weight tracker features are helpful, and the recipes are delicious! Do yourself a favor and buy the premium.

Love this app but could use a few adjustments. I really love this app. I have been running for four weeks in a row now the most I’ve ever done. I’m down 7 pounds between running with this app and healthy eating. However I give it four stars because I wish when you were running it would give you a warning like “30 seconds left until 80% sprint” and also let you know when you’re on your last running section before cool down that way when I feel like I’ve been running forever I don’t have to open my phone and check. Otherwise this is definitely worth the money!

Fun Running. Real Results. I am(was) no runner. I hadn’t run a mile since it was mandatory in gym class. But I recently decided I wanted to add some cardio to my life and hopefully shed a few pound. I decided to download this app. My first workout with this app was really really challenging. But 5 weeks later I’m actually looking forward to my runs. I’m loosing weight at a steady rate and my stamina is much improved. Awesome awesome program. Give it a try. You’ll be happy you did. (I’m using the free membership. The ads pop up quite a bit but never interfere with the workouts.)

Transition. I really love the workouts but even with the upgrades, the transitions are spotty. With the old platform, it would pause my workout for no reason, and never with the update, it stops saying when you’re supposed to go down running to walking, sprinting to walking, walking to running, etc. When you’re just starting those breaks are critical to keep up endurance and stamina. It psychs me out to have to hold and watch my phone while I’m trying to get in the groove. Overall, I like a lot of things but this is recent and a bit frustrating.

Bought premium and I’m still getting pestered to buy premium. The menu plan also has no options for vegan or vegetarian and being a cookbook author myself and a long-time runner, I was shocked to see cholesterol filled recipes including eggs and coconut oil. I don’t know any cardiologist who would sign off on those ingredients especially in the quantities that are used here to supposedly help with weight loss. Stick to a low-fat plant-based diet and with a little green tea and running three or four times a week, weight loss is generally magical. As a personal trainer and running coach, I’m always interested to see new apps. Interval running part of the app looks good.

Nearly unavoidable pop up spam for their premium version. I loaded this app this morning to go for a run and that much was fine. During my run I managed to navigate around the pop-up that blocks part of the screen trying to signed me up for a free week of premium. When checking my stats I made the mistake of trying to close out the pop up and it immediately routed me to the App Store so I tried to exit to my home screen but my fingerprint registered and signed me up for a free trial of premium. It’s not the end of the world, but I just really dislike this kind of tactic for auto signing me up for a premium service I don’t want—hoping I’ll forget to cancel (because why wouldn’t I?) and then be charged a month. Enjoy your money you get through scheme tactics in your app design and your zero rating. I’ve uninstalled, hopefully that works.

Unsatisfactory. This app is a great app, keeps you motivated with achievements and calories burnt and step by step guide for everything. Unfortunately even though it says I can use my Apple Watch with no iPhone that hasn’t worked for me. Most important today I was on week 9/10 there new privacy policy popped up and would not let me continue without hitting continue or accept. Multiple times I tried and it was stuck on this screen. Even though I purchased the app and I am a “premium user” it did not save any of my data. Everything erased from my training program. So I would not recommend this you’re better off using your Apple workout pre installed app. At least that backs up to iCloud and you can retrieve your information.

I want the old version back!!. I have had this app for about 18 mos. and I really do like it. But on this latest update they have changed the user interface too much. It was so much easier to use before. It seems like the emphasis was put on making it look pretty vs. making it functional. New "achievements" keep popping up on the screen when I am trying to look at something. The workout information isn't as clear as it was before. Overall I still like it and I still use it regularly, I just wish the developers wouldn't have tried to make it so cute this go-round. For me it turned a five star app into a three star app.

LOVE the music!. I don’t buy ANY apps, and tried this one out for a few weeks first. This app is totally worth the money to me! It motivates me to work out and keep going in a workout when normally I’d quit. The variety of music and how the pace changes makes it easy to use with my elliptical- I follow the beat of the music. I also look forward to using it to improve for distance running. I do wish it connected with other apps and devices easier. Doesn’t with my watch really- not MyFitnessPal. Otherwise definitely 5 Star.

Total Scam, Ending subscription is complicated. App seems cool, but it costs. Free to download, but then you have to either sign up for a monthly subscription or a free trial. If you do the free trial for 7 days, it will then automatically start charging you after. There is no easy way to manage your payments/subscriptions within the app and no easy way to confirm you won’t be charged. Have to manage subscriptions through Apple ID. Complicated to turn off. I hate apps like this, it’s fine if you’re willing to pay, but they mislead you into thinking it’s free and end up charging you. As soon as I downloaded it and realized what was going on, I immediately started investigating how to turn off the subscription and deleted it. That process was complicated.

Lost 30 pounds from January-March. I’m always skeptical of apps on the App Store, especially workout ones. BUT let me tell you, this app actually helped me lose 30 pounds when i thought I was never gonna be able to lose weight. For me, the weight loss came through a combination of this app, the treadmill and slight diet changes. I highly recommend this app! P.S. I did purchase the 9.99 month version but rarely used it as it was towards the end of my workout phase. I accomplished the weight loss using the FREE 8 weeks version.

THIS IS THE APP YOU NEED!!. I’m a big woman let’s face it. I haven’t ran in nearly a year. I use to ran Track in High School but it’s been a minute!! I found this app while looking for something to help push me! I started the free trial and told my self let’s give it a real shot. First day I’m at the gym my ear buds are in my ear and I’ve got this little dude Telling me to kick it into high gear for a minute so I did...then he tells me to WALK so I’m like okay let’s walk big guy! This repeats for a little while and before I know it I’ve ran 2 miles!!!! I can now run without dying thanks to this app! Also I’ve lost 4 inches around my stomach from running!! #byebyebabybelly💪🏻

GREAT FOR BEGINNERS. I got this app like 2 years ago trying to lose weight. Although the app did succeed and I lost some weight I then got into excuses again and then later deleted the app and gained the weight back... oof. However, that’s entirely my fault. Here I am back again this spring/summer of 2019 in order to really get into shape. Reason I’m writing the review is because I’ve gone through many years of searching and only one app has done it right. If you just go with it and put in the time you’ll get your results.

Good, but with minor glitches. It’s really nice to be told what to do on a run. I like that I don’t have to think. I just push myself until the app tells me to walk. Takes out a lot of the crazy dialogue I have in my head when I exercise. The music selection is good, but will sometimes stop and you have to restart it. The app also sometimes glitches and will skip an interval, so then you have to fiddle with it to return to the correct interval. Not a huge deal, but can be frustrating if you’re tired and towards the end of your run. All and all, this app is the only thing so far that has kept me running again consistently, so success so far!

Amazing! It works!. I LOVE this app! I used to run on my own but had issues with my knee hurting from the impact. I switched to this app after a friend recommended it and started the Beginner for Weight Loss running program. The knee pain went away with the intensive interval training, I think the waking breaks helped. I've been using it for 2.5 months and have lost 22 pounds! I'm very happy with the program; each day's workout is slightly harder than the previous, and it pushes you just enough without being too hard or impossible. If you want to lose weight and like to run this app will make it happen!

Love this app. Let me start by saying that I hate running. However, I found myself isolated at my cabin without my fitness equipment, so running was my only real option. I purchased this app and it has made me almost look forward to running. I am competitive, and the progressively more difficult daily goals keep me motivated. I go between training for 5K and running for weight loss workouts and also use the free run option. I love the music and the coaching too. The GPS is very good, even in remote areas and you can visually see your route and speeds. I am very pleased.

This App is giving me LIFE. I love this app! I used to be a cross country runner about 15 years ago and could run double digit runs with little effort. After many years, multiple injuries, and one child - I have just added running back into my life after a very long hiatus. I’ve been doing weight training for the past few years, but just needed to add some cardio into my routine. I was worried about getting back into it, but this app has made it so easy AND fun! It does a great job of tracking your runs and encouraging you. The music is very motivating as well! Thank you for this app!

Sad. I'm kind of disappointed they've turned this app into purchase only. I used to use this app religiously for years when it was free! During the lockdown it was my saving grace! It had purchase options then, but now you can't use it at all without buying month to month. I simply loved it for the cues while running so I didn't have to constantly look at my phone for the time I had been running. I don't use the nutrition aspect of the app, so I just wanted it for the running challenges. It had all of my past stats stored and once they changed to membership only everything was lost! So disappointed!
