Real conversation, not travel dialogue. This is a great great language program because it's focused on actual discussions and not travel phrases. The system also teaches you pronunciation and you can choose favorites.

Very good for what it is. I upgraded to the paid version. All the words that are available to learn are useful words. The voice that speaks the words is very clear and understandable. Overall a good start to getting a basic vocabulary

Great app!. It's as if the developers created this app specifically for me! I can have the app running and learn Hindi while driving or walking my dog! I'm one of those people who learn by doing as opposed to sitting in a class bored. So easy to use.

Just what I was looking for!. I've wanted to learn Hindi for a very long time, but it was hard to find a good resource like this one. There are so many different ways to personalize how to learn the language (and for free on top of that!) I hear the $10 is totally worth it.. so I think I'll upgrade to that. Shukriya!

Passing Urdu and Arabic origin words for Hindi. Wanted to teach Hindi to my young daughter and gave it a try. Was disappointed to see even basic translation was incorrect. For eg, the word for “thank you” in Hindi is “dhanyawaad” and not “shukriya” an Urdu word as given in the app. Likewise, the word for goodbye is not “alvida” in Hindi. It is a Urdu word of Arabic origin. While I don’t have anything against Urdu or Arabic origin words (they are commonly used in India thanks to pop culture) it is a separate language. If even the “learning” apps are going to teach people the wrong things it makes me really afraid for the future of this beautiful language.

I'mHappy-can you enhance reading and writing?. I'm very happy with this app-just started few days ago-my parents are Telugu speakers and I am predominantly an English speaker trying to learn more about Sanskrit, Hindi and Telugu...I've learned italian, Spanish, French and Latin and wanted to address my parents languages--I love the way it enhances my vocabulary. My one concern is teaching how to read and write Hindi.

AMAZING!!!. I love this app!! I work with an offshore team from India and I wanted to start learning Hindi in case I ever have to go there and this app has been amazing!!!! I’ve learned French, Latin, Korean and Japanese throughout my life and learning Hindi through this app has been easier than learning any other language. They provide a ton of apt and utilitarian phrases and individual words. They even had a nursery rhyme, which I thought was very clever. Do yourself a favor and try it.

Great App for memorizing words and phrases. I am learning Hindi as a native English speaker with no background in India. So learning the correct pronunciation is very helpful and the ability to slow down the words is great!

Don’t buy the full version. It’s a scam. All of the lessons it unlocks are only a few words each, most of which are already available in the free version. Also my native Hindi speaking partner says they got some things wrong. I give it two stars because I like the variety of ways it allows you to study. Too bad it doesn’t offer more vocabulary beyond the basics.

Swahili. One of the absolute best language app on the market, PLEASE consider making one for Swahili.

One of the best free apps I've found so far. I've downloaded (and, for the most part, subsequently deleted) at least a dozen free apps for learning Hindi. This one is my favorite so far. It's clear cut, accessible, not overly fancy or overly plain, and I love the way vocabulary is displayed. Great options for various levels of learners, too. For example, you can choose to display words in Devanagari as well as Roman script. All around, great app. Just wish I had credit card access in order to buy the full app!

Love the app. Lots of words in basic version to learn. Includes full functionality with basic words. I recommend this app. And I will upgrade as soon as I get through the basic words.

Really useful. The free version of this is great and really can help to learn Hindi vocabulary and phrases. But of course is limited as to the number of words you can learn. $10 is the cost to upgrade to the full version and that seems expensive but I am tempted because of how high-quality this app is.

i love it. it is my favorate app to learn languages , already have the full version of nemo turkish and spanish it is really usefull , containe all the most common words u need . but I have a problem with nemo hindi , about 2 years ago I had bought the full version , then after 2 or 3 months deleted the app but when i download it again i've lost the full version and i have to buy it again :(

It could be more interactive. This app is great , but I wish it had a writing and test for understanding mode like Duolingo and other languages apps do. I don’t have to buy the full version to learn more.

Nice app. This is a nice app, but it would be nicer if it had more structure with the teaching. So we know step by step, as students would learning this normally. Also the full version is too expensive. If there were more features i would consider it, but at this stage, its a no for me until i see improvements.

Started well then all mixed up. It started well and after 10 minutes it was speaking the wrong words with each new word, completely mixed up.

Best Hindi learning app in the store. This is probably the best app you'll find, ALTHOUGH, it is very expensive to buy the full version. It has served me well and I've definitely impressed all of my Hindi-speaking friends :)

doesn’t download and small vocabulary. I bought the extended version of this app for my phone, but the download was interrupted by inconsistent wifi and the app is stuck on the download page. I tried reinstalling but nothing works. I emailed the developers but had no response. I was able to download the app later to my ipad (not preferred), and now I’m disappointed with the limited range of the vocabulary. It contains too many English words. True, Hindi does contain these words, but should hello, hi, goodnight, and Hindi be considered new words for an English speaker? I was disappointed that the large vocab advertised is largely just English words with a Hindi accent. I found better vocab lists on youtube that were more useful. Overall, this app is overpriced and really not good.

Fun. Everyone is saying it is accurate when I show them. It is a fun simple way to learn while passing time. A future improvement might be lessons instead of just games/tiles.

Great. Have been looking for an app like this! Can switch between English / Hindi and shows both written formats along with the gender of nouns. Audio can be slowed down if needed. Haven’t had any issues yet with bugs and it is easy to use whenever I have a few minutes throughout the day. I will most likely get the full version after a few more days, this has really helped with my pronunciation and works with my short attention span.

Best so far Hindi app. Wao.... I've been searching fr an app like this fr some time and so far having getting into more of the language and practicing I love it! Instructions lacking. Yes there are words to learn. Yes there are native speaker recordings. Yes you can record yourself. But no you can't compare your recording with the native speaker. Not enough instructions given to use the app. And no way to practice using them phrases in sentences. So of limited value. Pity.

Works well. I can't find many problems with this app. It does exactly what it's meant to do and has really helped me expand my vocabulary. Although I wish I didn't have to pay $9.99 to unlock everything, I suppose it could be worth it. Sometimes I feel the romanization of words are a bit off, but pronunciation is spot on and very helpful. I would recommend downloading this app to anyone who wants to work on their Hindi vocabulary.

Well-Done. I have enjoyed working with this app. I like the flexibly of number of words per day to learn. The review portion fits in with the idea of integrated recall which appears to be the most effective method of language acquisition. The stats section is useful for keeping track of what you have learned and how much you have progressed. I would recommend this to a new Hindi learner as long as they have learned the sounds of the script/language first.

Disappointing. Very limited vocabulary available for free but I'm not confident that by paying nearly $10.00, I'll get much more. That's because many words are "translated" by saying them in English with an Indian accent. So "hi" is "hai" and "bye" is "bai".

Perfect for at work. I wanted a language app that I could listen to in the background at work, and this app has a program that repeats each phrase 8x :) repetitive, but that's what I need! It also allows me to play music on 8track at the same time!!
