Great brain exercise!. I’ve noticed over the years my brain isn’t as quick as it used to be and in looking for games to work my brain I came across Lumosity. I only played the free version a few times before deciding to buy an annual subscription. I play through most of the sets they have and then play some more just for fun. I’ve recently started listening to the mindfulness sessions as well and find them to be calming and helpful as well. I try not to spend a lot of time playing silly games on my phone but I don’t find this one silly at all! Thank you to everyone that makes Lumosity and I look forward to playing new games as they come out! Yes some of the games aren’t as challenging as others and some seem like they could use a tweak or two but I’m sure someone is working on that and I will continue to leave my reviews and suggestions when prompted to do my part! I hope come renewal time I will find another deal because I’m not the type to spend money on a game like this but this was really a Christmas present from my husband who kept telling me to get the full game! Thanks again Lumosity creators!

Good games. I like this app a lot. I t hink it’s very good for the brain. However, due to a variety of life circumstances, I might go 4 or 5 months at a time without having the opportunity to play this game. Therefore, I don’t want to pay a monthly fee or an annual fee that’s going to automatically renew, when I barely had time to play. So here is my suggestion: if you have a total of 50 games, have a set price that people could buy maybe 10 or 15 games for a one time fee. if they want additional games they can sign up for the yearly or monthly subscription. I wish there was some kind of option between three free games a day or the full subscription. ❤️

Top game to improve your mind @ any age. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose in using their excellent games over any other brand of brain trainers. Try it, you will be glad you did when you see for yourself the difference it makes in remembering and doing everyday tasks. Like remembering names... yes it helps. Give it three weeks and you will see a change whatever your age. I usually play the FREE games rather than purchasing it. The following is my only reason. The serious problem I have with the game is how you have to buy it through a second party, not directly from Lumosity. If your email is stolen that is linked to the your game, then your game is gone too. It’s happened to me. This is what happens when you use iTunes and I’ve NEVER gotten my money back from iTunes, never. If you could you could get the refund you’d be able to apply it to a new email that is yours. That is something they could change in iTunes by linking your game to two emails and a phone number that are each able to be changed. This happens when you must change your Apple ID as I’ve had to more than once. Presently iTunes can link your library of iBooks to two emails and I believe you may edit your linked emails by adding in a new second email, if one is stolen. Why not do that same safety with your games you buy with iTunes? I’d buy more games, if they did this so I had more security for my purchase.

iPad use. There are so many things I love about training with Lumosity. However, I have been a member for at least four years and we could really use a break with our iPads. There are many many many games available but just a fraction of those can be used on an iPad. Think about it. The computer is not very functional when it comes to playing Lumosity games. Most Of us will grab our iPads and play a few games during our lunch hour… You would get many more members by making more of these games accessible via iPad or iPhone. I pay a significant amount of money annually for Lumosity and I use it on my iPad only. I give you four stars because of the limited amount of games I can play. I would definitely give you five stars and recommend you to all of my friends if there were more games accessible via iPads and iPhones.

I can feel my brain working. I gave Lumosity a try because I was having some memory issues. I play games like solitaire frequently, but don’t really feel like I’m exercising my brain. I could almost feel the cogs turning when I started up Lumosity. I’m in the middle of the premium upgrade trial right now, and although I love having the unlimited workouts, I probably won’t subscribe due to the fact that my only device is my iPhone 6. It’s difficult sometimes to hit the correct answers/letters on time on such a small device, and I feel like I would score higher if I had a bigger screen. If you have an iPad, go for the premium! The only complaint I have is that, when it gives you your scores at the end of each game, it doesn’t take the higher levels achieved into consideration. In other words, it appears I did a lot better when just starting out because of course it was easier to fill more coffee cups, solve more math problems, etc, at the lower level. It’s kind of discouraging in that way. But that being said, I love Lumosity. I feel it really helps. Just don’t let the scores get you down!

Recovery from Brain Injury. My doctor recommended brain games after I was diagnosed with a brain stem injury after getting hit by an 18 wheeler. I have lost 11 points off my IQ (I explained it felt like 10), and then when he should me my current IQ, I was like wow, it wasn’t 10 it was 11! Can’t make that up. He suggested Sudoku, crossword puzzles, etc., and the battery of exercises in his office. However I also see sustained injuries which required two surgeries and make writing very difficult. I feel so blessed to have found this app for reinforcement, redevelopment and further development. I am new here but, I have realized positive results in two weeks. The diagnostic tool that measures improvement, or lack there of, is a great motivator as well. Thank you guys, this is exactly what I needed, and more cost-effective than seeing the neuropsychologist twice a week... the savings in gas, aggravation in traffic, etc. So it paid for itself in a week! So, keep those games coming! My favorites are the Road Race and the math problems!

I DOUBLE🐶DARE YOU. Click download and just try it once... If it doesn’t strike a chord with you, then remove it and go on about your business. I promise you that Lumosity will leave your mind feeling sharper than it was before. I don’t play games on my phone, honestly I really don’t play games at all, and I never leave reviews for apps... I am a college student and psychology fascinates me. This app is concise, visually appealing, and easy to use! I literally JUST finished my own personal “Fit Test” and felt the urge to give feedback with hopes of helping others. I don't get straight A’s, I have ADHD, and I struggle with self-doubt and a hunger for mental stimulation. This is such a refreshing app that actually made me feel good and proud of myself! Give it a shot if you are even the slightest bit curious. If you think about it, what do you really have to lose from trying?

Memory and speed. I have started using Lumosity 3 years. Sometimes I train regularly and sometimes I leave it for a while. I found that lumosity charges me up to score and beat the next level. But more importantly it has taught me how to organize my thoughts and plan better. So it has not been about scoring but about understanding the logical way about scoring. I find some games more interesting than others. There are games that I enjoy playing (math, language, train track, leave direction and remembering the items on the beach) but some games I simply don’t understand (eg coffee machine). My grand children (aged 7&11) play as well and they enjoy it immensely. They too started playing 3 years ago. Best regards Mariam

The Train Game Haunts Me. When I first opened the app, I was prompted to play the train game. It was slightly challenging the first several levels, but I rather enjoyed the test of my attention span. After the first two days, I got stuck on a levels 10-11 and out of frustration I deleted the app knowing I wouldn’t pay for the subscription. I settled for leaving the game at that level. However, the next day I found myself bored and wondered if perhaps I could surpass to the next level. My trial was not over so I redownloaded the app and was able to get to level 12. Then suddenly I was back where I started, but just one level higher. I convinced myself to just be rid of the taunting app as I began to believe I would need to be engineered like a computer to beat level 12. When I was bored once more the next day, I did it all over again: redownloaded, moved up a level, could not beat the newest level, the. deleted the app. Today was the third time I did this obsessive dance within the last week. I have been stuck on level 13 out of 14 for the last two days and my trial is up. I refuse to pay for the subscription as I wholly believe I am addicted to this dreadful train game. I must walk away, or else it will consume my every waking moment. Good bye train game. Oh, how I wish I made it to the very end but alas I am only a human and cannot operate like a computer. *weeps loudly

NOTHING IS FREE. Ok, so overall this is a really good game way better than elevate because the games here are ACTUALLY FUN. The only thing is that the only three first games are free, then everything else is premium. Which is a bummer because it’s a really nice app. I would defyrecomendd getting this app if you are willing to pay for the premium or if you just wanna play the same three games over and over again. If not elevate is a woderful app is mostly FREE. To the developers, please make more games free because i personally think it’s not worth paying for so me games that another app has that are free. Just some feedback. Hope you take it in a good way and try to fix this other than that the app is AMAZING!! Love it❤️❤️ Ps. I am giving this app four stars because it’s excellent except for the in app purchases.

Attrition vs Quality - which should inspire a purchase?. The free version only allows you to play 3 recommended games per day. While these games are fun and slightly challenging at first, they start to repeat very quickly, and I found myself groaning, “oh no, not this again!” Unlike other brain games out there, I didn’t get a sense of progress. There were no achievements or rewards. Moreover, I was unable to train in any specific categories. This likely isn’t true if I were using the paid version, but how do I know for sure?! You gotta give me a taste, man! Nearly every feature and a plethora of over 50 games are locked behind a pay wall. A wall which I was never inspired to climb. I’ve always been one to pay/support apps I enjoy, but sadly, this one seemed more nettlesome than fun or scientific or educational. It left me asking, “why is this so popular?” and thinking, “there are way more rewarding apps of this caliber which warrant my money because they made me say ‘give me more’ without giving me almost nothing.”

A fun and effective way to boost your brain power!. Lumosity is a fantastic app for anyone looking to improve their cognitive skills and brain health. It offers a wide range of fun and engaging brain games that focus on areas such as memory, attention, and problem-solving. One of the things I really like about Lumosity is the personalized daily workout feature. The app creates a customized plan based on your performance and goals, ensuring that you are always challenging yourself and making progress. The user interface is easy to navigate and the graphics are colorful and engaging. It's a great app for all ages and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to boost their brain power.

Good brain training. I bought a one year subscription with the hopes this would help my brain after getting a concussion Aug. 2017. After finally getting in to see a neurologist, it turns out my brain fog was from Serotonin Syndrome (taking 3 similar functioning meds for 3 different reasons). I'm off all 3 and have my brain back. I'm still using Lumosity because I enjoy most of the challenges. Oddly, while I love math, those games stress me out the most. One thing that REALLY stresses me is the final message indicating how many days in a row I've trained. I'd like to be able to turn it off. It's crazy how devastated I was when I broke the first streak of 40+ days. Technically I had started the training before midnight. (I know, there are bigger problems in the world...)

Mindfulness. I really enjoy the brain-training games. They are challenging and fun. I especially like the mindfulness series. I am at a time in my life where it has been brought to my attention that for my whole adult life, I have been negligent of others and their feelings. Not quite aware of my own other than hurt that someone may cause me, whether the hurt was truly intended or not. These exercises are helping my become more aware with what I’m feeling, both positive and negative and how those feelings can effect how I react towards others. I’m hoping that this will especially benefit my marriage. I am married to a beautiful and kind woman who I have all but completely shut out. I know that It’s because of a perceived “attack” by her on my character (which is largely flawed). She did not attack me, she was merely pointing out how what I was feeling towards her allowed me to mistreat her. I denied it and continued to do so. Six years later I have not changed and she has continued to suffer. My hopes is these exercises will assist me in finding that balanced place between caring for me and also her and our marriage. Thank you.

Paid for premium, still no access. I just paid for a 1-year subscription but am still locked out of all the premium content. They obviously have a data synchronization problem between the Apple App Store and their subscription management system. They should really remove the app from the Apple Store until they get this fixed. Stealing customers money without providing them access to your app is a reputation risk. Based on other reviews it’s an issue you haven’t cared enough to fix for over 3 years. I’ve learned my lesson to always read the reviews first. Thought this was a reputable app, but I guess not… you need to make it easier for people to either get access to the subscription they’ve already paid for, or get a refund directly through you. Forget customer service, you have a whole end-to-end customer experience problem.

Charged the full year without knowing it.. I have liked Lumosity and their 3 free games. I paid for a year one time so I could have unlimited usage. I used to work in the brain training field and would refer clients to this site all the time. I still do when people find out what I did and ask me for suggestions on how to help get over their learning disability. Recently they had a free two week trial that was fun but I realized that I’m in a different stage of life with 3 young kids and I never used it to its advantage. Then they automatically signed me up for another year. I understand that I needed to cancel, but it’s one thing to charge me month by month and another to charge me for the year! I’m really mad as I don’t have $60 to spend on this and I can’t get a refund! I need to pay bills, not play Lumosity for a year. 😡 I feel taken advantage of and do not trust the company anymore. There are other sites for brain training that I will now use and refer people too.

It’s not really science - it’s just another scam. Luminosity is the typical door opened to bring you into their scam to collect your personal information in an effort to get that money out of your pocket. There isn’t a product to help you recover from a brain injury like they advertise - if anything it’s a criminal scam. You can’t delete an account not fully created without logging in and giving more personal information. You can’t login to delete said account until you take multiple tests which allows them to collect personal data from you. There’s no phone number listed to contact them directly - another layer of scam. No physical address listed to send them a letter requesting they delete your information - all scam levels under the guise of “good natured care”. All that to sell your information to the mental health field and yes they will sell your personal, vulnerable information. It’s a scam.

Great to keep your elderly parent sharp. I have installed this app in my mother’s iPhone. A 76 year old woman with anxiety and cognitive loss. I wanted something to keep her brain sharp and exercise areas she does not exercise everyday. I also paid the subscription because I wanted a plan according to her needs. I have seen improvements in her cognitive skills after almost a month of work. The app anyway should have some improvements, should be more intuitive or detailed taking into consideration the use I am giving to it, menus and explanation of exercises should be visible for more time, sometimes she does not have enough time to read the explanations and does not have the opportunity to understand the instructions. It also should consider mental issues as anxiety to avoid exercises that increase this.

Buyers remorse, buyer beware. Bought this app, paid for a full year subscription. I had been running for a while on the free version and thought I should support it. The buyers remorse came very quickly. When I got the paid version I came to the realization almost immediately that it is far better off sticking with the unpaid version. Games can become ridiculously hard at higher levels. Some of the games are very nearly nonsensical. There is one called fuse clues which involves inserting numbers into a numerical sequence. When you get to a higher level you get, for example, two clues out of nine spaces and there is absolutely no possible way to determine the sequence. It becomes frustrating very quickly. There is very little sense of accomplishment and the frustration detracts from what should be a positive, learning experience. When you first get the app, it can be fun. But if you stick with it, and rise in levels on the various games, getting to the higher levels Will likely result in hitting a wall and not being able to progress any further. That is where I'm at. Hence the buyers remorse comment. Also, just an observation. This is at least the third time I've written a review. They keep getting taken down. At least that's what seems to be happening.

Very fun and definitely helps your brain. This app is very helpful, because not only does it remind me to come on the app, it also reminds me as soon as I open the app that I should exercise as well. This is very helpful because when I get on my phone I cannot just binge watch shows, because it notifies me and I see the app and think, “ There are more games to play I should do that instead!” Although I love this app, I think that there is one flaw. I just wish that you didn’t have to buy premium and it just come with the app initially. I think that the whole point is to see how you are doing and not just play the brain games, which you can only do with premium. Overall, I would definitely get this app on every device I have, in fact I may do that right now!!!😀

Stroke survivor Retraining brain. Overall I love Lumosity games. It has helped with my focus, processing speed, math calculations, memory, mental agility and flexibility. I gave it four stars instead of five because the vocabulary range of the word games is rather limited. Sometimes it won’t accept valid words and the words in the language activities get repetitive so it stops being as challenging. Also, I hate the bowling game as I either don’t understand it or I stink at it. You do not have to pay $60 a year. Wait until a holiday and the price will drop. I paid $38 a by purchasing it on Black Friday. The desktop version has more games that are not included in the mobile version. I like to play in both mediums. The desktop version also gives you more information about your progress.

PREMIUM. I don’t write reviews, ever, but I NEED this off my chest. I saw this app on some commercial on a game I play and thought it would be fun. It would help me rewind, make my brain work faster I guess, and, overall, rework my brain with its speed, attention and math, just like it was advertised. I downloaded, set up an account, went through the tests only to discover that Lumosity only worked well if you spent MONEY. You only get 3 games with the free version, can’t do the math portion and it won’t track you as a person. It’s horrible! Do not recommend! I’m only giving this two stars because if you’re not like me, and have money to spend on useless things like this, it might be worth your time. But it’s not worth mine and anyone who is just looking for a nice app to relax playing and learn a bit at the same time. My recommendations? Add a few more aspects to the FREE mode. Here’s one way: have half the games unlocked, the other locked for premium. Example: if you have 50 games, 25 of could be for free, and the 25 have to unlocked by paying. And don’t leave one option out, like you did with the math games. Have at least one. Also, add a tracking mechanism to the free one that is set up individually, and add a more highly functional one to the premium aspect. I don’t care honestly, just make it more than 3 games so I don’t get burnt out in 2 minutes and maybe this game would be worth it, because right now, it’s really not.

Unbelievably good. This program is light years above some of the brain games we have seen in the past. I find it’s challenges are perfectly “where I’m at”. It’s stimulating, as I want to play it much longer than necessary each day. The games are easy to figure out for someone on the spectrum. Or I found them to be🤓 there’s a lot of different things they challenge you on that I believe will really help me to get my mind in shape so I can return to a PhD program soon. My mind does feel “worked out” but not tired. The yearly fee is around 40$ and from what I can see it’s well worth it. I plan to purchase it. I’m about halfway through the free trial now. I would recommend it to anyone really.

A lot of hype. I purchased this. And I had some fun with it, some of the games are more fun than others. I imagine it’s largely a matter of personal preference. Though I did find some of the games enjoyable and I think that it is nice that you have many to pick from - I really doubt you are going to see big change in your performance after a certain point. And so you can get the same benefits of play any game that will allow you some challenges and fun. I think the luminosity PR for bettering yourself is just that, marketing. So if you like any of the games and want to purchase to play go for it. But IMHO that is the extent of the value. Also I was a bit bugged at how easy the purchase was, but the links and info to update subscription are all dead or decoys. Meaning their is the extra step of going into the Apple App Store to make the changes. In my case canceling the auto renewal that the app defaults to.

Disappointed that the outcomes are modulated. The underlying algorithms keep changing the outcomes based on your actions, without disclosure. That is disappointing and keeps you addicted to wanting to score better. So however well you perform you will get screwed at the highest levels, leaving you unfulfilled. Your actions will always leave you unsatisfied and wanting to try more. The magic of keeping one hooked. To this reviewer, modulating outcomes midway based on your actions is undesirable. Try out some of the games, let them run without inputs, and the scores are different every time, even though ones actions were a naught. Alternatively, take random fast actions, and you will score high. Knowingly playing hidden games with on my brain makes me squirm, unless I knowingly submit to it. My recommendation is a 60% value.

Verified my low IQ. I was hoping that this would improve my brain powers so that my life would get easier. I’ve recently learned about IQ. You can get better at certain games, but it will not get you on the same level as someone that has a higher IQ than you. In other words, someone with a higher IQ will master all new games faster than you. That is what employers are looking for in this age. They need people that are quick because times are changing so quickly right now. You need to be able to master new concepts quickly and you need to remember everything that you’ve already Learned even when you’re not using it on a regular basis. That being said, I think the app is great for a lot of people. Just not for me.

Love it.. This game is not so bad, and it’s free! You get three free games everyday. Well even though you can’t unlock all games for me it’s fine. The reason why is because the game is like choosing for me, what I should focus for today. You can buy premium if you want, but I don’t want to get it. Also I found this thing if you wanna play a previous game that you can’t play anymore, then go to your game progress. Next, go to the progress of there game you want to play, and there will be an option saying if you want to play it. Last, you can play the game. I also love it because it actually does help my brain, and it tells what the game does to help your brain. Overall this is the best game and is so fun to exercise your brain, while having fun.

Love the games but no technical support. Have tried to subscribe to this App twice. Each time it doesn’t let me log on. Checked help forums and info on Google, but nothing worked. This should be an easy fix, but there is no way to chat with support. One has to submit an email and wait AT LEAST two business days. So if you subscribe on a Saturday, the very earliest you will hear back from the help desk, assuming you do hear back, will be 4 days later. The second time I subscribed, I submitted a help email, received an automated confirmation of my email, and 10 days later I have still not received a response. First time I’ve had this happen with an App. I submitted a follow up, asking about the status 4 days ago but haven’t heard back from my follow-up request. I give up!! I will play the free games but had to cancel my subscription cause I can’t pay for an App I can’t access.

Cognitive Ability. Upon realizing that my cognitive learning has always been a culprit for my short-term memory, lack of focus, and low comprehension/retaining of information, I looked up ways to help slowly build my cognitive ability and this was one of the first few things I came across. These (what seem so simple) games are challenging different areas of my mind- thoughts, actions, time management, etc. Even after the first day of trying out Lumosity, I felt an instant energy boost after I was done. Slight, but noticeably more awake and alert than before I started. It takes 10minutes at most to do your daily challenge and is great way to get a jump start on your day. I highly recommend if any of my personal details stated above you feel a relation with. 5 stars!!

Absolutely recommend. I have to either strongly love or strongly dislike something to leave a review. Lumosity is one to strongly LOVE. I bought the lifetime version and every time I play I am so glad that I did. Lumosity is a very high quality game app- they invest in the right ways towards technology, performance, usability, aesthetics, and more on the app. I am a technology analyst and I cannot say this for many apps. In addition, I truly believe the more that you practice, the better you get and the sharper your mind stays. It's common sense, you don't need a clinical study and paper to come out to know that. I would have my nephews and kids play this over any other game as they grow. It is fun, engaging, as well as formulated very well. Hands down you have done an amazing job.

I love This game. I tried to give feedback through the button on the app, but the link is bad and it’s difficult to do so I came to the actual App Store- that’s how much I love this game! My cognitive functioning has been so low since I got Covid. A friend Who has been through multiple concussions recommended this game and, though it seemed like a really stupid kids game, it has challenged me in ways that both remind me how low I have fell and how much progress I’m making climbing out of the hole. I have a long way to go, and I’m only using the free version, but the days I use this app I definitely push myself to keep going. Thanks to the inventors for making it and for allowing a simple free version so people like me can still have a fighting chance. I have confidence in my ability to grow/learn/remember and get my brain back enough so that one day I’ll be able to work a FT job and purchase the full app to move on past that goal and crush the world!

Very good, with a few glitches.. I'd definitely recommend this app for stronger cognitive ability! I've been using it for a few years now, and I do the brain training exercises daily. They're still working to this day! I'm always finding new ways to get higher scores on the puzzles and unlocking new levels, and I find myself able to use these skills to solve problems outside my training as well. The only reason I'm currently giving the app 4 stars and not 5 is because lately it's been having glitches in the speed related levels, where the visuals can't seem to keep up with the sped of the level. This slows down the reaction of the user, which leads to to a crash in the Highway Hazards game, for example. I still recommend the game to new and existing users when this bug gets fixed! Keep training!

Pretty cool but way too expensive for premium. I like it a lot but 60 dollars a year?!? Not gonna happen, to put that into perspective I can buy 12 little Cesar pizzas a year, and since there’s 8 slices per pizza that would be 96 slices per year and if I eat one slice of little Cesars pizza per meal (breakfast lunch and dinner) I could be fed for 32 days which is an entire month of pizza! So I could either buy a month worth of food or a year of premium for a brain training app. But wait I’m not done. If you work at little cesars pizza and buy the pizzas then you can be fed for 40 days instead of 32 and some bread on the side because I get free bread for every 4 hour shift I work. Still v cool tho I feel like I’m getting smarter every time I play and good job on no ads I like that part the most.

Fun, minor issues. I’ve only used the free version as the Premium version is too expensive. The games are still fun, you just get three a day you can access. Which, as a busy person, is completely fine. My only complaint other than the price for premium is that on the specific game “Word Snatchers” the word definitions offered as hints are not always accurate, or could be greatly improved. I have a very large vocabulary and the study of word meanings and the correct usage of words has always fascinated me, so that’s frustrating whenever I play that game. Otherwise the app is excellent, and I really appreciate that there aren’t ads on the free version. I presume the Premium version is excellent as well.

Excellently! Superb!!!. At first I had thought 2 things. 1. There's no way playing games will help my mind. And 2. I figured this would be something really difficult! But it really isn't at all the games are very quick and easy to catch on to. Not difficult at all. And it doesn't make you super smart/ but I personally feel like it helps your mind with how fast you react to problems and challenges! So luminosity I'm very pleased and I have to admit even though this is meant to be working your mind- and brain this is actually a lot of fun; and I really do enjoy playing it, as well as I enjoy seeing my scores keep getting higher! It makes you feel good about yourself❗️😃 So once more; I am 100% ++ Satisfied with, this app!!! 😃 😊 👍🏻

Too expensive for a game. I've loved Lumosity for a long time but as I study for the GRE, I wanted to test the premium version so I can use the specialized math + language training. I tried switching my subscription from annual to monthly before my trial finished, but they make it difficult to do through the app because you have to go through the iTunes Store app which I deleted long ago, so I figured I'd delete some space then download the app again just to cancel a subscription. But then when I was charged I went back and that's when I realized the trial was only 2 weeks, unlike a month like most subscription trials. That same day I tried emailing them, but it's been days and no response (they said I should hear back within 48 hours). I didn't even request a full refund because I still want to use it for the next month until I take the GRE, but they couldn't even do that much. So now I'm stuck with a $60+ subscription for a game that's been free to me for years.

Exactly what I was looking for!. I work in a warehouse where attention to detail and undistractability (real word?) are crucial. This is the first app I’ve ever seen where they test more than vocabulary. There is a little of that, as well as math skills but my focus was the focus, the quick thinking, and the memory games. I play other Apps like Elevate for their language and math skills. This App was so perfect for me they it made me cry. I’ve been so frustrated with searching ways to improve my attention to detail (without just doing matching pieces or item search games) and accuracy under pressure and at speed. Nothing I’ve searched for even comes close to this, whether it was an app or a website. Everything I found was all “for the group in the work place” like a team building exercise or boss-to-employee motivational speech. Sorry I really have to shout here: THIS GAME FINALLY ANSWERED THE QUESTION OF HOW TO FIX MY BRAIN! I don’t know if the free version will really do it for some people but for me the paid version is well worth the price. I’m not sure I’ll do more than a year but you never know.

Completely considered every aspects. I really like this app, because it has many interesting games to develop all the aspects of the brain ability, its evaluation is also pretty good and gives you insight about how you are progressing so it acts like a kind of incentive to go forward! Another aspect that I really like was the mindfulness training which is a great guid toward mindfulness! In addition, it gives you suggestions to improve your technique by presenting stronger players’ techniques! Finally, this app is improving very fast and every time it gets more and more compatible to boost the brain and offering cooler and more diverse games! There are lots of other cool things about this app that I love, But I believe that it is an expensive app!

Fun and A Trap. Lumosity games are certainly fun to play. You will spend endless minutes, or hours a day if you are like me, obsessing over a challenging game or beating your last score. But that’s the thing. It may help the brain some but it also can be a time waster. I can’t say whether it improved my cognitive functioning. Lumosity was sued for making unfounded claims. So there’s that. Cancelling is hard. Good luck finding the “Unsubscribe” link. I managed to cancel auto renew but have not yet received an email confirmation. It should be instant- so I’m worried that I’ll be charged again. Now Lumosity certainly has no problem emailing me about games and renewing. It shouldn’t be so hard to cancel. It’s like the goal is to frustrate you so you give up or forget. But little do they know I’ve been playing their memory games and I won’t forget 😉.

Good kick-start to brain in morning. I like Lumosity. I usually play it in the mornings to get my brain working. I’m 58 years old and trying to keep brain young.😊However, there are two games that I think could use tweaking. Word snatchers game uses words that I think are not used much today so it’s very hard to try to come up with them just by the description. And I would appreciate if there were another way to play the math game where it drops 💧 the equations and you have to solve them before they hit the bottom. Math is hard for me and I have a hard time trying to think up the answer fast enough. I do like it as I know it has improved my skills but would be nice to be able to slow it down and think it through.

Great Game, but something wrong.. My mom said that my memory was really bad and whenever I went on my iPad, I had to play a brain game. This was the second one I found that I really loved. I signed in but saw that I put the wrong year in for my birthday, when I tried to change that it didn’t work. So I ended up deleting the account to restart and fix the year, but that didn’t work. The app said that I was already a member. Then when I tried to sign in as a member to press “forgot password” the app said it sent me an email. The email didn’t send at all. What I’m asking for is that could you make the members able to sign back after they delete the account and that you can change you birthdate as a member. That would help me a lot, thanks.

Awesome app!. I was looking for a game to improve my memory, but this app is so much better than I had expected! Not only does it improve memory, but it also improves everything else. It allows you to check your scores so you can see what needs improvement. Even without premium, this app certainly helps with everything! Whether it’s your processing speed, memory, vocabulary ability, flexibility, problem solving, or math (pretty sure I named all of the categories), this app can help you. It even helps with focus and calming down with Mindfulness, which, to my dismay, only gives the first eight lessons for free. That is my one critique. Everything else is wonderful! If you need help with anything brain-wise, be sure to get this app!

Liars, horrible people and thieves.. Stay away. There are far better, more reliable, better games AND free. IF...(in 3 yrs, once I contacted them it was fixed that afternoon). Luminosity is usually a weekly if jit daily problem. Management are liars, company is thieves, no morals BUT very creative with their lies. Occasionally they do slip up and reoeT the sane ones, but usually different ones. 1-2 times a week to contact them. 3-8 days to get a reply, when they do, you’re the first person EVER to have that problem. It’ll take a soevuakust, if they can find ive ajd then some time to look for a repair. 2-3 months. If you stay in them, they’ll finally respond. It WILL HIWE ER he an additional lie, they’ll cancel your account . Then say you requested a refund. BUT if you just ask fir a refund they tell you Apple is the only one that can do tgat. If you write them back and tell them Apple said they didn’t do it, it was the app developer, they’ll agree, but then say they already refunded you. SUCH LIARS

Best accidental purchase of my life!. I came across this application on the App store. I originally was looking for an app that offered memory games, so I could improve my memory. I am going through a rough patch in life and it has made me realize how much I’ve neglected self-development. How much I used to love playing games that challenged my brain. I purchased this app by accident, (thought it said $3/month, not a one-time payment of $44!) so I was going to test it out and probably stop using it after a while, as I do with many other things in life : Never complete a task. But this has been by far the best accidental purchase of my life! It offers much more than any other application I’ve ever used, and since I’ve just begun meditation and mindfulness, I was amazed to find they have tutorials for that as well!

This would be a five star review if.... High IQ individual here. You don’t know me; so there’s really nothing in it for me to lie to you about it. Suffice to say: I have a health condition that involves attention from a neurologist and a neuropsychiatrist. I’ve taken actual iq tests (you can’t take them online, and no; the masses are not iq tested in their youth.) This game would’ve gotten five stars if its “rating” of you the user was more accurate...I live in an area of Texas that is saturated with morons...and the game rates me as below average for this region. Again...I have ZERO to gain from exercising bragging rights in this medium. The games are great, but don’t believe the ratings it assigns to you—the user—for a single solitary second; it seems fairly obvious that they keep you thinking that you’re a little dumber than you actually are so that you’ll treat the game as a must-have so as to keep your brain from withering down to the size of a cashew.

SCAM ALERT!. I have lost my job due to COVID-19 and Lumosity was a great escape for me and helped me expand my brain level and helped me be calm despite losing my job. It will also probably help me get a new job as my IQ has increased by A LOT and I got to say thank you to Lumosity for that. But here’s the thing, this app and the Premium is a CHEAT. I wanted to try Premium for two weeks so I bought the free trial and realized that I didn’t like it that much. It literally said cancel at any time as long as you cancel it 24 hours before and I literally cancelled it a day after I bought it. Even when I cancelled it, the subscription isn’t going away and I’m going to continue getting payed. Literally a day later, I got terminated from my job. I already have a lot to stress about right now and this is adding on to my stress. How am I supposed to pay for a mind training game when I can’t even pay for my bills on time? Now, I know this was super long, so let me summarize. The lesson learned is DON’T FALL FOR THE FREE TRIAL. These people have probably teamed up with Apple to earn money and make everyone who purchased the free trial broke.

An exercise for improving your cognitive skills. I have been using this app for the last 400+ days continuously and I have seen marked improvement in my cognitive index. I am running 71 and started forgetting things, probably an early sign of dementia, which is evident when I play working / short term memory games. Since I started plying the games, I have improved on my memory but it has not reached above 95 percentile so far of my age group. Deficiencies in various cognitive abilities can be noticed earlier through this game and they can be improved through continuous workout. Although I might have played for more than 3 years but Lumosity keeps track of continuous play only meaning if you did not play fir a day, it starts counting from 1 again. There could be situations when one is not able to do the full exercise one day due to illness or traveling which should not make the count to restart. Overall this is the only exercise I do as soon as I get up and before starting my day.

Terrible customer support. I’ve been automatically billed for a monthly Lumosity subscription for close to 9 months, but each time I’ve tried to use the app, I’m locked out of the premium content *that I have been paying for*, and shown a screen giving me the option of signing up for a premium membership. Absolutely frustrating. After several attempts, I was able to get in touch with a Lumosity customer service rep whom I sent screenshots of my billing statements. The rep said I hadn’t been a subscriber according to their system since May 2018, and that Apple, rather than Lumosity, was in charge of handling refunds. Alright, that doesn’t solve the problem of the app not working as it should, but if I can get a refund for the months I haven’t had access to the app (since May 2018), I could be ok with that. I contact apple, and the maximum refund they offer is for a single month’s charge. Oh also, according to Apple, I still had an active subscription, so then the rep James at Lumosity not only failed to fix my issue of the app not unlocking content I had paid for, he gave incorrect information about my subscription status, and furthermore, didn’t seem interested in actually helping me resolve my issue. So ~$12 x 8 down the drain, and neither Lumosity nor Apple will take responsibility, it seems.

Newbie. I don’t write many reviews but I was so annoyed that I thought I would. I downloaded the app recently after I saw a commercial. I didn’t mind using the free app as I was learning more about the program because I wasn’t ready to spend money on the Premium app if I didn’t think I would use the app. So tonight I was excited to see that Lumosity was offering a 25% discount because they were being featured in the App Store. It peaked my interest and I considered going ahead and paying the annual fee. Then I realized that they raised their prices by about 25% and then offered the discount. That’s just rude. I just downloaded this app last week and looked at the Premium price so I know how much it was before the “discount”. Now I’m just so annoyed at the Lumosity’s business practice that I’m not sure I even want to continue using the free service. It’s a shame that people are greedy, it seems like a fun and helpful app.

Struggles and lots of help. I like the app but the was a few problems with it!! With someone who has ADD (like me), I started struggling with my breath only because I have asthma! I had to constantly pause just to cough and get water! But on the other hand it is really fun. I can’t get all of the stuff I want to work on the most but I’m fine with it. I like that you can set up what days you want to practice the most on and what time you want to do it. I think my 6 year old brother would love this app because he has ADHD and he has the 3 kind witch he can’t help what he is doing. Now back to the app, I don’t get the whole test at the beginning I mean I know it is seeing what your plans are but it makes no sense!! 🤨 This app is very useful for me and everyone who is using the app.

The new version. I just don’t want to get off it’s the best brain working game out there for all ages and it’s also a great fun way for you too learn and learn new ways to do everything. The bad thing is that I can only play three games in one day so I would like it so I don’t have to pay for its awesome games ‼️💗💸👍

App Overall, along with pricing. Lumosity, it’s a great brain training app, even for the free version. The daily three exercises are very good, especially that they change and aren’t always the same. I do agree with another reviewer that $89 a year is a bit expensive and I would be very happy to buy premium for $89 if it was a lifetime subscription.

Eventually stops helping. The biggest problem with Lumiosity is that after a while it stops helping you train your brain and instead cause chaos and frustration making it detrimental. Once you reach your threshold to be able to complete a certain level mostly towards the end, you go from training your senses and just get frustrated you just keep failing at a particular level. Most would think just keep at it but it eventually just becomes harmful to your mental help your inability to complete the level no matter how many times you try. There needs to be some intelligence in understanding stopping a persons progression or just ability to play manageable levels daily would be the best way to continually train your brain.

Love it but. I really love this, even if you’re limited to three games a day, that’s fine, the games change all the time so you never get bored with it. It really works as a break trainer and it’s fun. The only problem though is I think premium is WAY too expensive. $18 a month is a bit much. I’m not super interested in the insights to how I’m doing, the commmunity thing or any of the other premium features, so all is really be paying $18 for is that unlimited games and that’s definitely not worth that money. Overall though the app is great, and the free version is more than enough.

Captivating. Very good game and I could be on it all day. The only bad thing is that you can only play today’s games, I recently got a free game for a week (train of thought) to promote premium which you pay for, if you were able to get more of those games more often it would make the game more enjoyable. Nevertheless this game is perfect for training the brain and for making you really think. This game would be for anyone from the age of 5-30.

My favourite brain training app. I've tried severL brain training g apps over the years - paying for premium in all of them at various stages - but Lumosity is the one I keep coming back to. My only bit of feedback is that my 6yo son has taken a liking to it too (after graduating from the kids versions) but he's only learning whereas in on the highest levels of just about everything. Consequently my LPI has taken an absolute hammering: it would be great if you could suspend scoring for this purpose

Stupidity. Playing this game is not “brain training”. It will only train your brain to get better at playing this game. Same is true for solitaire, scrabble, crossword puzzles... or learning an instrument for that matter! When you do something often you get better at it. That’s all there is to it. This game is not making you smarter. Try learning a language or an instrument or taking up a new hobby. There is some actual science behind those things leading to cognitive improvements.

Great way to strengthen mind. I really enjoy playing the games . they are challenging enough to keep me going to improve my performance. Only negative is you have to purchase premium to gain any insight on individual performance. If anyone was below average for age group would never know with free app. It would be good to get a free trial of premium for a few days .

Mindfulness is amazing. The introduction to mindfulness is the best app I have found for mediation. The narrator has a very calming voice and is very helpful when I’m trying to fall asleep. I have only used the introduction because the premium is too expensive which is why I did 4 stars instead of 5. The other games are very helpful as well.

Great app for the brain. Fantastic, use it almost everyday completing every game one by one. Extremely useful in warming up your brain for the day ahead such as school, stronger mind promotes confidence in yourself thus the ability to complete work at a higher standard. The only downfall is the expensive subscription

Only reason. This app is great and everything and I find myself loving it more and more, however the only reason I rated it down was because there is a premium. I dislike it immensely when apps offer you 'better options' etc. but you have to pay for them, but u have to make a living so, yea sure. Good job! :)

Lumosity. Lumosity is great fun for the brain, but the only way to see your stats is by getting Premium. You can see which games you’ve excelled at and which you haven’t without premium, but you can only play 3 games at a time as well. I still think it is good, but we need to have more for free.

Daily grey matter workout. I love Lumosity and give my brain a daily workout. So many game options so it doesn’t become boring. I also like the insights that rate me against my age group and I can keep my eye on them and look for areas that are changing for me.

Fantastic but too expensive. The games are great, I like to play them with my six year old, but recently my subscription lapsed and our situation has changed since my last payment 2 Year’s ago. I find it far too expensive today, for a set of games on the phone. Sorry Lumosity but I won’t pay that much for a few reflex and memory games.

Astonishing and brilliant science-backed app. I have been using the Lumosity app for over a year, and almost every day. I can tell you right now that this application has improved my understanding of the way my brain functions and has given me the tools to better my life tremendously. Thanks Lumosity team! I can’t wait to see what other additions you make to this already content rich app.

Excellent!. I would definitely recommend this app to absolutely everyone! The games a great, fun, rewarding, challenging, and so much variety. The whole program is very well thought out. And it is also constantly being worked on to keep it updated and interesting. It’s great to keep track of your progress, improvement or otherwise and it’s fun to see ones comparisons to people your age.

Brain nourishment. Lumosity gives me the daily dose of nourishment and muscle flexing that my brain needs. I love the new games and extra challenges that are on offer. Of particular interest is monitoring the Cognitive LPI and how this score can help improve the cognitive areas that need improving, literally 😀. I’ve been playing daily since 2013 and feel the difference in my alertness, speed and memory. Thank you Lumosity and I look forward to more great games and new challenges.

Great “Brain Wake Up”. A well constructed and effective set of exercises, to get my brain moving every morning, and combat sluggishness if I’ve got a down time during the day and I really need my brain to be working effectively. I can’t afford to pay for the premium version at the moment, but the taste that you are get in the freebie one is great. Although it is a pity that several of the categories – the word games for example – don’t get featured. I know those are the ones that would tease me into paying up, even on my teeny budget. :-)

Stop giving me the same games!. Stop giving me the same games two days in a row switch it up, I get train of thought 5 days in a row,I get let detective 3 days in s row, give me attention games and problem solving games that I can improve on so I can improve on other games.

Brain tested. Overall the gameplay is excellent and daily challenges “3 of” are testing and start my day and brain into action, but have limited games without premium and having to pay. Keep up the good work, as they say Use it or Lose it

Brain training. As a 70 plus year old, I like to keep my mind active and I like the mix of brain puzzles which Lumosity provides. It is great for memory and reflexes. I also like to better my score when a particular puzzle is repeated, so find it challenging.

Fantastic example of design and function. I wish all apps were designed and implemented as well as this one! It’s a pleasure to use and I believe it is actually improving my quality of life. I find many of the games challenging, but I am learning that the best results are achieved from a very particular sort of presence of mind and attention.

Great app. Great app. I feel like I am definitely sharper after playing for about a month . However during this same time I have made a lot of positive lifestyle changes so I can’t attribute it solely or definitely to this app . I can not compare it to other brain training apps as I have not tried others. I am thinking about getting premium but it’s a little expensive. If it was a slightly cheaper I’d get it. App has been given 4 stars as there is no landscape mode which makes it very ... very difficult to use games that require keyboard use. App is regularly updated and has interesting and fun games that keep you motivated.

Great app!. This game is really good, and I highly recommend it! The only bad thing about this app is that you are forced into a time limit to answer questions. I don't want to rush just to fit an answer in, and it doesn't give me more room to improve. Apart from that, AMAZING app, I highly recommend it!

Premium. Hi! I really think that Lumosity is a great game and it gets me, and my family hyped!! The only thing that bugs me is that you have to pay to unlock all of the features. I really wanted to play every category, but the you must buy premium to play at least two of the categories, for example, the word games. I also think that I would have bought premium, but it is simply too expensive. I love the thought of being able to, but it just won’t happen. All in all, I love this app, but would prefer if there were more things unlockable in the game for people who do not want to, or cannot, pay for premium. Sincerely, Kayla

Great and not totally money hungry. I would definitely recommend this to students such as myself....at first I shot this app down because I thought you had to buy everything but it wasn till later I saw my friend on it and I realised you got 3 free games a day for free. Premium would definitely be better. But I liked it free. If there was any changes I would want another free game a day. :)

Loving it!. A great brain trainer which has, as far as I’ve noticed so far, improved my speed, and offers a widely varied workout so you can work on ALL cognitive processes. Fantastic work, guys, it’s brilliant. My hat goes off and the compliments go to the developers. I’d definitely recommend this, and it’s the first game in my “Daily Brain Exercise” games folder. Keep up the good work, and your minds active!

Great challenging tasks. Had this app for quite awhile and never had a problem. I would love to get the premium version but it is really expensive. However, I still do the 3 games per day and find myself improving at the games but also in my general thinking ability. I have got my kids and my mum onto it too. Really recommend this for all ages.

Good. I have been playing these games for 8 years and these are very addictive. I don’t know if these have helped my brain in any way but I do like the games. But my issue is the monthly or yearly payment, I think this should be once off pay instead of monthly or yearly considering there are less than 50 games in total and there hasn’t been a new game for a while now. I honestly don’t understand the keep on paying thing. I had to stop paying earlier this year because $18 each month for less than 50 games is a lot. Even yearly subscription is too expensive. I know a lot of other people who want to play these games but don’t want to pay all this money but they said that if it’s once off payment then they’ll be happy to pay that. I think Lumosity should make it once off pay and that way they will get a lot more subscribers.

Definitely needed this during iso. Love this daily brain workout, I feel my thoughts flowing easily after only playing a few weeks. My only complaint is I have won so many prizes in Top That I am wondering when they will arrive in the post? Should I put my home address here so they know where to send them? Has anyone else not received their prizes? I am waiting especially for my unicycle but I don’t think it will fit in the letter box.

Great science to this game. With all that goes into making an app, is science in its self, so why should you have to spend or pay a monthly bill to train your brain? If I do not play the brain games with premium, does that mean I’m not going to improve my brain as someone that does pay and play the premium games?

Good app but crashes and doesn’t save your progress. This is a really good app with a lot of variety but I find the app crashes a lot in the sense it pauses after a challenge has been complete then you can go no further and it hasn’t saved your work out. I find this happens a fair bit (app is updated of course) and it’s extremely frustrating.

It’s great but possible bug. This app is awesome but they’ve restricted some games unless you get the full version. This is understandable though :] Also, cannot play space trace -there is a blank screen when the game starts and you can’t restart or quit the game , you have to quit Luminosity altogether to play other games.

Lumosity brain training. Lumosity saved me from madness during cancer therapy. I absolutely recommend it for improvement of physically and chemically damaged brain power. Clancette Using Lumosity has greatly improved my ability to focus. Especially after my average of 4-5 months annual periods of intense cancer surgery and/ or treatment. Clancette

Amazing😁 I highly request this game!. I play this every day! Each day you get 3 games (its free for 3 games, 5 games cost money) and there always different! It has helped me with my memory and ability focus more! My favourite game is trouble brewing, you are trying to brew/ make all the drinks requested in a certain amount of time (very addicting!) I highly request this game!!!😆😆😆😆

Enjoying the ride 🤠. Lumosity has helped myself to learn so much. Meaning ... Don’t overdo the plays. Vary games to improve many learnings, speeds and memory. Explore the life messages, and learn from those as well .. eg. Focus relaxed breathing approach to day. Truly advancing in a life special manner. Happy play member 👏🏻

Could do with some changes. It’s nice but could use some changes I think we should have access to most of the games plus I’d like to do maths but it costs some money I asked but they say it’s too expensive I love it but please let us have access to most of the game like the English and Maths and other thing but overall and ok but good game :)

A big upswing in the mental sharpening department. I’ve been playing Lumosity for the past month, and I have definitely noticed myself being mentally sharper. I have a better memory, better selective attention, and am able to filter out irrelevant information far more easily. I work in the finance department, and I have DEFINITELY noticed an improvement in how I work with clients!!! It’s working so well for me, I forewent the one month subscription, and went for a years’ subscription!

Fabulous With The Lot. Finally determined how to purchase a lifetime subscription (via the website not the App) and its marvellous! Heaps of new and challenging games. Insight into ones cognitive state and progression is great too. I have 2 other ‘brain apps’ and Lumosity has, by far, the best games/challenges. Highly recommend

Love it but can be frustrating. I saw a review from someone who said it eventually stops helping when you get stuck at a level for ages (I wonder if he/she’s stuck on Train of thought like me?) It does get frustrating but at the same time it gets my brain going in the morning and really helps with my memory, especially the trouble brewing game which is my current favourite.

Love this app but too pricey. I absolutely love this app and even the limited free version is worth having it. I love all the different games and in a way it's well worth the $89 a year but then again it is just more than I can justify on a game even tho it's not just a game and is mind training. I pay less for PlayStation games and own them for life. $89 a lifetime would be better. The free version is good enough for now. For me it has a calming effect and is great in helping fix my Chemo brain. Thank you for creating this beautiful mind food!

Brilliant brain training. This app is one of the best if not the best brain training app there is. It’s helped me in so many ways. Cannot fault the app except for the difficulty adding family members to the paid account. Please keep developing this app. The newly added games are great. I have fun competing against mates also. Thank you for this excellent app.

The games a really fun and well designed but.... it’s a scam. Although the games are challenging and often times frustrating in the best way as well as the smooth design. There’s is no evidence to suggest that it actually “trains your brain” anymore than playing candy crush or subway surfers do. I will still continue to use the app however I strongly advise not to get the paid version if you want to “train your brain”. But if you enjoy the challenges and want to see your progress then by all means do it.

It Works. I have watched my scores gradually improve and I know it is working. My memory has improved and I notice patterns in everyday objects. I am 65yrs old, I had noticed my memory slipping plus reaction times were not as they had been. I have at least 3 generations of Dementure ahead of me so wanted to see if this could help and I am proof that it does. I have also added one other similar app and do both everyday. I highly recommend this app.

Planning skills rating in Train of Thought. I love this game - and I’m at 98 on the rankings with a best score of 69 trains. My suggestion is for the rating algorithm. It seems to rely solely on percentage. I think it’s strange that others on Lvl 14 handling only 60 switches get 62% ranking while I get only 66% for correctly handling 90 switches. The missed and close call switches ratings are also based on that. While, from what it says, it seems others at Lvl 14 are being challenged with 97 switches while I am getting 137. There might be a better way to write the rating algorithm.

Refund. Great games but haven’t got it on my new iPad and I found that $100 has been charged to my credit card this month! Trying to find how I get a refund and cancel and it is turning out to be a nightmare! Also finding that every nickname I enter is supposedly taken, even our surname which only has three fa ily members in Australia. Not happy! You evidently don’t like negative reviews!

Great games for the brain!. Have been playing Lumosity for years and I love it! The games are fun yet challenging, and doesn’t take long to complete daily challenges! Definitely a great app for brain training and would highly recommend 👍🏼

Mindfulness. I have anger issues and doing this I thought “well this will be boring” but it really calmed me and made me think and realise things all around me and not be mad at everything. I hope you make more mindfulness activities and keep doing your magic to make others happy! :)

Love this app!!. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to sharpen up there memory and focus skills. It is also overall very fun and also challenging but it also feels like you are having fun. Love this app!!

Best customer service. Love Lumosity, my brain actually desires the feelings Lumosity gives it. Have been a part of full Lumosity for maybe three years, dabbled for another probably four before that. Have recently had an account issue and their customer service was great! Impatient me wanted it sorted immediately, apologies Lumosity, and they got it sorted in a reasonable time frame and I’m now back on board for at least another two years! Thankyou Lumosity, from my brain

Be very careful. I used to be a paid member. I cancelled auto renew last year and they still took money out of my account this year. I got it back, but what if I hadn’t noticed?

Junk. This is such a stupid app. Don’t listen to any of their deals or false advertising on these games sharpening your brain. Some games do but these r junk. We looked it up and these games actually don’t do anything to your brain or me worry. Don’t fall in to this trap. Such a waste of money and bad game. Do NOT buy

You have to pay. The games are cute and fun but you have to pay if you really want to benefit. They only prompt you to make positive reviews.

Great app, not-so-great-privacy. Overall, I love Lumosity. The games are fun, challenging, and appealing to the eye. However, through even a brief skim through the app’s overview on the App Store, the amount of data collected stood out as highly concerning to me. I just don’t understand why this app would need to collect things such as internet browsing history and personal media. It displays itself as a generally self-guided app with no logical need for most of the information collected. It was a major red flag to me, so I unfortunately had to uninstall. I was even considering buying a subscription until I truly dug into the privacy policy of the app. It really sucks that it came down to this.

Rubs off in the real world!. I started playing this to improve real world cognition and not just get good at the games. Been playing for two weeks and yesterday was planning how to do a small task when I suddenly was thinking of the train game as a metaphor for how to approach it. Brilliant!

1# Cognitive training app. I have a severe condition mental/physical. I’ve suffered for 6 years with this disability. After today of just trying it once. I felt like this software/game could actually help me improve my cognitive condition. So today like right now for my second attempt I am going to fully apply and commit! Try it out!

I love Lumosity. There’s always room for improvement. It’s the biggest room in the house!

Elevate is better. I have tried both Elevate and Lumosity for a few weeks now and I find Elevate more interesting. The daily free doze of Elevate is more enjoyable and enriching than that of Lumosity.

Pay for everything!. The app is ok, but it asks me to pay to play, pay to view, pay to unlock. It’s not for invest dozens of dollars, that I’ve installed that app. It’s for improving my concentration. If I can, I would give a 0. NOT RECOMMENDING.

Good free to play and pay to win lol :). The games have really nice scaling. free to play u get 3 games a day it’s nice activity for causal fun but it feels competitive with yourself. I think majority of the games actually feel like they test there category ex attention, memory flexibility speed problem solve and some of the other category is hit or miss some math games I found to hard. I tried the free trial after months of free too play, I liked seeing the result and picking whatever game but I’m personally a cheapskate and membership is too much for something I use for fun. because majority of there games are very well designed and u can play offline which is the best selling point for me I can just play and it doesn’t force me to play an add, I mainly use phone but the pc wedsite is just as good I usually let my friends play because I think it’s good enough to recommend, I haven’t found competition when it comes to free to play, I’m glad I saw a YouTuber advertises these a year ago because I like self competitive games.

This app is a SCAM!. Paid for the 1-year subscription and it unlocked nothing and is still trying to get me to pay for the “premium” features. Way better, less expensive apps out there.

First time premium member. I haven’t played these games for at least 8 years. It is still just as fun and has a good purpose. I am thrilled with it!

bad!. The video at the top makes u think it’s free, but all of it is premium! U only get games if you choose them in ur set up, and u only get one game! The next day, the games u like are locked. That is rlly a scam, Everyone delete this! Will result badly.

Paid Member. I’ve been a paid member for years, they say there is new games coming but I haven’t seen any? Years and years and nothing new? I won’t be renewing for another year. Why do I have to pay yearly when nothing new is added? Feel like it is a bit of a scam?

Good but wayyyy over priced. I enjoyed this game until I hit the almost immediate pay wall. If the premium was cheaper or there were another way to unlock levels that would greatly improve this app

Glitches. Overall very Very poor reps after exchanging emails. Dev team needs to address simple glitches and thus customer service is lacking.

Needs a dark mode then 5 star.. I like this app, but it seriously needs a dark mode..searing eyes in a dark room isn’t fun.

.. Love the challenge 🙂

3 Games Only - Brutal. Why even bother getting the free version you only get 3 games. Don't waste your time.

Like to take your money.. They are quite devious at taking your money and it’s hard to get the auto renewal to stop. My father hadn’t used his account in ages and forgot his password. All the links were conveniently not working to have it reset. I sent a unhappy email and the account was simply closed, no customer service, no we’ll try to fix the problem. Nothing. Don’t waste your money on a company that likes to take advantage on the auto renewal with non existent customer support when trying to stop it.

Please don’t waste your time!. This app kind of disappointed me. It’s basically asking you to buy the whole thing. You can only play 3 games each day, if you want to play more, you need to buy premium. Not everyone has extra money to be spending on a BRAIN game. We’re here to expand our learning! Not to pay for everything! If I could rate it 0, I absolutely would. A big DISAPPOINTMENT. Definitely would NOT recommend.

Expensive. The games are fun but it only gives you an option to play the same 10 games unless you pay $100 a year for “premium”. As if life isn’t expensive enough.. let’s fork out $100 for an iPhone app! Not worth the download unless you want to pay for premium.

Color selection is strange. I have premium version for about 4 months, and in general I feel good about it. The biggest complaint I have is about color selection in Pirate Passage and Masterpiece. In Pirate Passage they are using very limited colors, say two shades of very dark green, so that it is difficult to see the difference between them. Masterpiece is not so bad, but still when outside lights conditions are not favourable it is hard to see difference between two shades of dark blue. Please update your games by using more distinctive colors: use red, blue, green, yellow, rather than very dark green and slightly darker shade of the same dark green.

Good game,...but u have to pay for premium. I looooooove this game,But the first downside is you have to pay for premium. Also my favooooorite game in Lumosity is Trouble brewing, I'm on level 8 or 13. Here are some games you should NOT get on your device: first there's Slither.io, it may be fun but it is very, very addictive and you can rage a lot, and it lags sooooooo much. Second, ROBLOX, it is also very addicting and you shouldn't play it. I learned that, because I felt bad for secretly playing on my iPad because my parents didn't know when I was younger. Third gentian impact, its not bad or anything but my sister was addicted to the game and it wasn't good for her health. And that's all I know for now, bye.!

Cancel my membership. I want to quit my membership immediately. Why do you make it so difficult to do this?

Amazing product.. Unbelievable product. Love the all the games that keep me mentally fit. They are interesting, fun, and exciting.

Child like. Felt like a toddler playing these. Very childlike graphics

Requires an account. Requires an account = quick delete

Really works. Been at it for 2 weeks now and I’m starting to be more focus.

I’m beginning to worry.. I’m not sure if Lumosity Language are revealing the colonial indoctrination easily recalled from me, or is actively conditioning me to their religious views by specific words and arguable terminology. “Folklore. Superstition ” - instead of beliefs, practices or of another religion. “Impure” as another example. These are games I want to enjoy playing, instead of feeling uncomfortable playing.

Excellent. Definitely sharpens my skills: memory, language and math. Can be addictive!

READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING. This app has good games but you have to pay for almost all the games. This doesn’t even deserve one star. This deserves 0 stars. DONT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU WANNA WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

No further development it seems. I’m a paid member and have enjoyed the service for a little bit… but the longer I’ve had the service, the more disappointed I am in its development. It advertises as having new games being added and developed, yet I’ve not seen a single new game in a year. In fact, I’ve seen a poorly designed beat game listed as Early Access for about the whole time I’ve been subscribed. This leads me to believe that development on this app has completely stopped. Possibly so their team can develop their other apps, which I am not a fan of. This is your flagship product, and it appears to more or less be abandoned by the devs. I’ll definitely not be renewing my membership this year, as I’m paying a subscription for something that is no longer being serviced to a level that’s expected with a paid subscription. I would change my mind if I actually saw active development updates instead of just “bug fixes” updates.

Wish I could play. Unable to login to my account

Very good. Beyond solving excellent puzzles, it is teaching that you need to keep your „cool“. Breathe deep, relax, clear your mind and (try to) remember that it is only a game. Your college admission is not dependent on the outcome!

Seriously?. You won’t let me try a 2 week free trial without giving you my credit card information. This has a smell

It’s a good game BUT MAKE THE FREAKEN GAME FREE. This game is good but PLEASE PLEASE MAKE THIS GAME FREE!!!! For example... schools are free and there giving u real education..... this game isn’t even that educational and u have to pay?!?! This makes no sense at all!!!!! The only thing that could make this game better is to make it free so plz listen to me and all the other people out there who don’t want to pay

Ok. This game ok. You only get three games so yeah

Lumi. Love the challenges and the way it makes me feel !

Weirdo moron. I’ve said mean lies about people and people have said mean lies about me, I just want everyone to move on and be happy. If not that’s fine up to everyone . Sorry.

Great. I love it

Ok. Game is good but is monetized as heck

It's lit. I kinda love this app so yeah

better than competitor i suppose. idk

How are we suppose to connect our self. I can’t connect myself!

Too expensive. The games are good but it’s very limited without premium. I would consider buying it if it was a one time purchase or a reasonable monthly amount like $5 but it’s almost $20 a month which is crazy

Overpriced and aggressive sales. I don't know how people can afford these prices, I obviously cannot. I'm perfectly happy staying on the free limited version but this app is overly aggressive constantly pushing you to go premium. This is honestly a great app but I'm deleting it after writing this review because I'm tired of constantly saying no to going premium. I keep saying, only the rich can get good mental health care and this app is no different.

Great App. Affordable app with many great perks for improving your cognitive abilities and sharpening skills that may have eroded or new skills that keep the mind sharp.

Best Game Ever. I have been using these games for13 years or so and have become almost addicted to them. I believe they are what has helped me maintain my ability to function , and improve. My problem seems to be that you are cancelling my lifetime subscription as on my new iPad it is treating me as a new subscriber. Please explain.

Just 3 games. The games is really cool but we just have 3 games by day andif we want to have More games we have to pay, that’s sad.

It’s time to say goodbye. I’ve been subscribed to Lumosity for several years, using the daily training workout option most days. I’ve definitely seen benefits. But for me it’s time to move on. This company has the same content, the same games for years with nothing new. The games have become boring after playing them years on end. I’m wondering why they are failing to innovate and just seem to be keeping the lights on at their company. Seriously it’s been years since anything significant has changed. Years since they released a new game. So hopefully this company updates some stuff in the near future. Until then I’m canceling my subscription.

Best investment EVER!. I love this app. It’s my to go 15-min break, and even my relaxation go-to in the evening (love the mindfulness exercises). I wish I could set up family accounts. My child, 9-yrs old, LOVES to play these, which throws the scores off. I would love it if there was an option to set up sub-accounts. I bought the lifetime membership, and I prefer not to buy a separate one for my child. Other than this request, I truly love this app, the exercises are fun, and I am learning a lot while keeping my cognitive skills in check and properly exercised. LOVE IT!!

Don’t fall for it. First, I wasn’t really looking for this app, I was looking for a math app to help with tutoring in statistics and this was recommended. I gave it a try but couldn’t get access to anything to really see if the app was worth it. The subscription says $4/month and so I figured I’d try it. It charged me 50 bucks, not once but twice. I figured I’d try it for a minute see if it’s actually worth that. Not even close!! There a thousands of free games and apps that can help with memory and strategy games, why even bother with this? I had the “subscription” for about 3 hours when I asked for a refund. That’s when I found out they charged me twice. They refunded me once and now have blocked my access to login and will not respond to any correspondences about refunding me for BOTH charges. $100 for 3 hours of useless “games” I think not!!!!!

Enjoyed It, but it’s Pricey with No Updates. I enjoyed playing Lumosity for 8 years. I had a premium membership for most of that time, but after no updates for the games and no new ones in years, the $59 a year renewal was too much to justify. Yes, there were updates recently for bugs, but not like the beginning of my stint when we got new games or the existing ones got new content. I’ve put in feedback to no avail. Now it’s time to shut off auto-renew and find something else. My thanks to the company for refunding the 2-year auto-renewal that just occurred last month. I appreciate that it was hassle free.

Not maintained and statistics are bogus. I have been a long time paid subscriber but have been very disappointed in them. It has been many many months since the last update even though it has many bugs. I have reported that for my city the data shows I have been playing for over600 straight days but they list someone with several hundred fewer days as the top in my area. They claim they don’t know how to fix their statistics so don’t believe any of their ratings. It has been over 6 months since they have introduced any new games. They are basically just milking their profits and doing zero maintenance or updates. Try another brain gain instead

I NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. I try to utilize Lumosity everyday at the beginning of my day, unless interference of other business. The difference I have noticed is in my memory. I don’t notice as many lapses as before I started using Lumosity. I am a 56 year old female, with a mother who is 74 and now is beginning to experience dementia so I am trying to be proactive and do everything to either delay the possibility of dementia or maybe even prevent it. I like how it is set up to review your statistics and the improvements it has shown me since the beginning. I can’t afford to do the premium. So I think you should allow your customers to see how they have improved since the beginning of using Lumosity!

Lumosity is so cool!. Lumosity is so cool! I remember seeing commercials on tv about the app when it first came out. That has been a few years. However, my boyfriend bought the year subscription for me this past Christmas and I truly am grateful he did! I love the fun games and really feel my mind has improved thanks to the weekly math and vocabulary training. What I also find extremely beneficial are the meditation practices and rhythm games they recently introduced on the paid version. Honestly, I’m glad they did because I didn’t realize how much I was lacking in those areas of my life before trying them out. Lumosity has saved my brain!!

I LOVE THIS APP!!!. I’m not sure if it’s true that this could contribute to improving cognitive thinking but I do believe that it does something to my mind regarding understanding mechanics a little more, and I suppose that can lead into other areas of thinking. I guess the ONLY issue I have with this app is the fact that if you don’t purchase any of the packages, then you will experience the play of a new challenge every day instead of having the option of attempting to master certain ones. Other than that, so far the ones I’ve played have been challenging in their own unique way. I love this app and I’d especially recommend giving this to your kids.

Lumosity. Always liked these exercises. I used to play this every day on my lunch break when I worked. As I age I notice some things are slowing down. Sodoku wakes me up. I'm hoping Lumosity will sharpen me up. I agree with flash, the glitches still prevail. I've been on for a month now and the only thing that's an issue for me is that all these games want to go faster and faster, especially as you gain a new level. At my age, 75, faster's not happening. I tend to become frustrated as a result and close the iPad, but I keep trying. My one wish would be a way to slow down a little on some of the games. I still play every day and I do look forward to the challenge🙂

Love it but.... New* Since I stopped paying for it, lots of things have changed, I wish there was insight as to how to improve your skill in an area. For example, when doing a memory game how can you get better at remembering. Or a math game, how do you get better at quickly solving, etc. repetition doesn’t seem to be enough I love the games, especially the pinball game. But it seems there are only 5 or 6 games with the mobile version. There are a lot more games on the online version. Also, my mobile app doesn't seem to sync with the online version. I will literally be playing a game on the mobile version and get a training alert from the online version on my phone.

Good.. The games are interesting for the most part. It is fun; don't get me wrong, but there is a lot of room for improvement without having to add more games. Of course there are some I just can't get into but that's going to be the case for any set of mini games. I wish though that for the daily training it would give you a grade or something. Similar to how WiiFit gave you an age for each day. Just so you can see how you did compared to the day before with the 5 random ones. Not just score to score within the game overall. Edit; Also that the Word Bubbles would have more starting letter combos. I get the same ones a lot. The insight for that one also needs to give suggestions for words when it tells you to use a different author as inspiration. Edit 2: Seriously pisses me off that she you choose "Favorites" for your daily training it says the ones you play the most. THEN it gives you the ones you NEVER play unless it makes you. Why is there the option to heart them if not to make them your favorite?

Twinkling Fun!!. This game has room for improvement but for the most part it is amazing! I am an 12 year old girl who's father showed me this game. I feel that the best game is "Highway Hazards." It is fun to have the Adrenaline rush from that small part. My family has this app and it has been fun to learn all the games. It is has a very easy concept, you just have to play the game for a little bit of time to figure it out but I have realized this game has a trick to it that you can easily figure out! Unfortunately, you have to be a certain age to have this game and it decided I was not old enough but o wanted it so I decided to add a couple years. This game should be for all ages there is nothing wrong with training your brain at a young age so why not!

Challenging in a fun way!. It's great to challenge your brain and I love brain exercises. Just like the rest of our body, our brain needs to exercise too. While I recommend Lumosity to my clients to exercise their brain. UPDATE TO THE REVIEW I WROTE 7 YEARS AGO While Lumosity was fun, I now find it boring. I enjoyed it so much that I went a paid for a lifetime subscription. I think it was something like $250. But ... it has been years since they've added any games to the app! I have played the same games over and over into oblivion. I expected to be continually challenged. I'm disappointed & no longer recommend it to clients.

A must have game. Lumosity is an incredible app to have, if you have a desire for personal improvement, or just want to make your work life easier, it will improve your performance and make doing your job more comfortable. Lumosity can also be used to help deal with problems in your thinking process which could have developed from injuries or other circumstances. I believe it will help me personally in getting further in my job and doing better overall. It is definitely worth the cost, or just to be used with the free games it provides.

Description in App Store is misleading. I downloaded this app because I enjoy brain teasers and I found the interphase very user friendly, however, had I known that only 3 games would be available in the free version per day, and that you’d have to pay $12 a month to access really all of the other games, I would have never downloaded. 3 games only is not enough for a person to judge if they enjoy this app enough to consider purchasing... and the cost is probably higher than most people are willing to pay with so many other options out there. Description should give more on what is contained in the free version, or create a completely free version and a “pro version” that would disclose upfront the cost. I’ve deleted and looked for another.

Do NOT pay for this. Biggest mistake. I decided to pay the $40 dollars to get the premium account because I am studying for the LSAT and wanted to sharpen my skills. While you set up it sets payment to automatic renewal saying there’s an option to turn it off. Theoretically, there is. However, the program makes it impossible to access it. When you pay for it, it asks you to give an email, but NOT to make a password. When you try to log in to turn off the auto renewal it asks for a password and an email. Since you cannot provide a password. It won’t let you in. I’ve tried the “I forgot my password” option to try to get in. It then sends you a link, that takes you to a safari page with another link that automatically signs you in back in the app. No chance of switching auto renewal here. In the instructions on the app, it says you can change the automatic renewal in the iTunes Store. FALSE! First, the iTunes Store only sells music, not apps. Second, the App Store (which is probably what it means) allows no such option. I must now sit and wait for the day when the year mark comes so I can cancel my card and avoid the charge. THIS IS A SCAM!!! I CANNOT EMPHASIZE IT ENOUGH!!! DO NOT PAY FOR THIS!!!

Great App. I really enjoy using this app every morning when I wake up. It’s helps me get my brain started and gives me a better idea of what cognitive skills to work on. I’m only using the free version and have already noticed my memory has gotten stronger and problem solving has improved. It also has a section for mindfulness and meditation. So since I recently learned we have seven chakras, I’ve been using this app to fully complete my mental journey. Thank you for creating this app. I’ve recommended it to anyone who has issues with memory, math or just other different cognitive skills.

Great games, too bad they charge for favorites. I like playing most of the games, they’re really fun. But it’s so irritating that you can’t choose the ones you want to play unless you pay for premium. Not one time, but monthly! Today my favorite game was selected but in less than 5 minutes disappeared somehow, then substituted by another set of games. Very frustrating. I contacted customer/tech support and was told to wait patiently while the engineers were working resolve the problem, which apparently is “a normal occurrence with app users”. Why not let the games of the week or weekend be free? Or just charge a one time subscription fee like most apps? Very disappointed.

Love hate relationship. When I first found this game, I got the free trial. I played daily, on my down town and before bed sometimes in the mornings..finally time was up..and I paid it ..but as much as I love the game, it’s too expensive for me. I was out of work so income wasn’t much, I still have the app on my phone for one day I’ll sign up for it again, but I’ve been out of work for about 4 weeks now due to a broken arm and money is tight..until then yes this game was and is very much worth it, just if you can afford it …

Are you kidding me?. Greetings, developers. I’m here to say that this app is a complete and absolute scam, and the only thing I like about this app is the mindfulness program. Or, at least, the free one. The only way to make this app fully functional and fun is to pay. Another thing, when you first look at the app, it barely says anything about you having to pay money. When I got everything set up, I was really excited, in hopes of a relaxing yet challenging experience. But what did I find? “Unless you have premium, you only have three games to play a day! Oh, and to add on to that, you can’t see your scores either! Have a fun fricking time!” Are you kidding me? This app is absolute crap and unless this issue improves, I’m deleting it. For all who are thinking about downloading this app (and you don’t want to pay) I highly suggest that you don’t.

Karen Boyle. I feel like her on every game I play. I cannot go any farther than one game. I lose my motivation when I don’t “win.” I close Luminosity and I don’t look at it for a week as my mind, brain is getting weaker. I need help mentally as I’m frustrated at myself. Luminosity is the tool I need, but it makes me so frustrated that when I can’t win I shut down and cry and think of bad things I want to do to myself. Don’t worry as I have my husband by my side every time I try. He is the most important and loving husband. He is there for me when I get mentally ill just playing the easier games.

Pretty great but. It’s a great app to work your brain, it’s pretty awesome. I like playing the many different games it has, some are actually fun but the games I like are the ones u need to unlock with the premium. It randomly selects games for u that u can play for free but, I also want to play the games I find fun. And of COURSE U HAVE TO BUY THEM!!! It’s so ANNOYING how u have to buy things in apps I hate it and for all those who don’t want to pay the premium price can probably agree! It’s a game to train and help your brain let us play the games we want not the games u pick for us! Which are the only ones u can play for that day! It’s so annoying!!

Stats tool. I like the Lumosity application & I’ve purchased the premium subscription lately but I’ve been facing some difficulties in reading the stats & insight page and I really think it could use a redesign in form of graphs : - line graph for history tracking showing my index daily ,monthly , yearly , etc - compare page is not self explanatory and I have no clue what those numbers compares to others in my group which I would like to know (equals to them , higher , lower ?) - insight is helpful but the some subsection could be improved : 1. the occupational profile shows how I compare to similar groups but doesn’t really say anything about my profile or the group profile other than a sentence only 2. your lumosity community compares my community to other communities but where do I fall into that ? - it seems the application built on a particular science but can we get more insight on our strength. And weak areas and how to develop (maybe also a customized daily workout to reflect that)

Meh...Too expensive, not enough insight, doesn’t work right. I like the three free games a day. The problem is I play my three games and fifteen minutes later I go back to play one I enjoyed and it’s gone! Fifteen minutes! It’s super annoying. I guess it might work out for you if it’s replaced by another game you like but it never is. I should be able to play that game all day before it disappears, right? This has happened twice. I would buy a subscription but I think it’s too expensive especially since I can’t trust them to keep their three games a day straight. Plus, the free version offers you basically no insight into your brain. It looks just like a cute money maker to me. I may keep it awhile but it also takes up a lot of space on my phone for what little I get.

Inexpensive and fun. Unlike another reviewer I didn’t expect Lumosity to rework my brain, improve attention and math, for FREE. Oddly enough that reviewer thought those changes would be great if free but useless if not free. Lumosity is $5 or less a month depending on your plan. I go for months without playing and then play several workouts a day for months. Since it is inexpensive, I don’t have to use it all the time to get my money’s worth. And, because new games appear regularly, I can play the ones I love while trying out new ones. I don’t know whether my brain has reworked or not, or whether my attention has improved. I know that this is part of my routine most of the time and I enjoy it.

Useless. I downloaded this game thinking that it would give me a way to exercise my mind. However, by not paying for a membership I am only allowed three games per day. While this may be acceptable, considering the fact that I get a few games every day, these games are chosen from a group of around five games. For the past week I have been stuck playing the same “Pet Detective”, “Lost in Migration”, and “Ebb and Flow” every single day. I am exhausted playing the same exact things when there is a myriad of other games available to choose from. This app used to be a great exercise, but now it’s just a means to earn money. Definitely do not recommend this unless you want to play the same three most boring games from the whole app every single day.

Amazing App. I am addicted to this app! I think it surpasses all the other “brain training” apps by miles! I do have subscriptions to Luminosity as well as Elevate. But Peak is the only app that has kept my attention. It has a great assortment of games to train things like memory, mental agility, focus, problem solving, emotion, coordination, and my personal favorite language. Peak’s games are diversified and so much fun to play. I can spend hours training. I love playing the different challenges to raise my peak brain score! If iTunes would let me I'd give them 10 stars!! If you're looking into purchasing a brain training app this is definitely the one to get! Pro is worthy every penny!!!!

Bettering my Psyche. I dumped my memory in Affy-Land in 2004 and am getting better each time I use sites like this one. I am on a quest to become more coherent and won’t accept the negativity associated with losing your memory it’s my desire and quest to become the best person I can be so that I can communicate with my fellow man and understand what someone else is going through before me thank you so much for this opportunity I look forward to getting better and seeing more and more posts such as this

Luminosity the train game. I know the brain should be able to process the motion of the trains coming out of the tunnel but if I've been having trouble with the amount of trains coming out the game should realize this and slow it down The memory game does it by backing up to a lower tile board but not the trains they seem to come out faster and I just can't keep up with switching the tracks in time for me to get the trains to the designated stations I enjoy the game but that one game frustrates me so bad. No I haven't purchased the premium package but it would be nice if you could chose which game you wanted to play cause I hate the trains Thank you for your time. Michael

Prepare For Paywalls. I’ve had this app on my phone for years and have used it on and off, have always loved it for sharpening the mind. Five stars for the content. However, as the years have gone on the devs have locked down more and more of the content to where they may as well just charge the $12 monthly premium price to download it in the first place if they’re going to lock everything down. Not to mention compared to other apps, $12 is quite a bit and rivals most streaming/entertainment subscriptions. It’s one thing to charge what your work is worth, but another altogether to charge what your customer base can afford. Market research is your friend.

Free version neglected. I’ve continued to use this for years simply because it’s sadly still the best choice, but users of the free version will always be 4th class citizens for this app. Game breaking bugs are never fixed (in the Disillusion game, the timer keeps counting down even when the board is locked due to an incorrect answer and this has been going on for literally years) and the game rotation in the free version is positively pathetic. I play the same games over and over while others I’ll get once every few months or even literally never. (There are some I’ve never played at all.) Why not pay for the full version if I play every day? On principle because it is so outrageously overpriced, that’s why. I would at the absolute most consider paying a one time fee of $9.99 for it, no more.

Better than an herb or an elixir. I’ve had an outstanding life. Got to thank my missus for that. She saved me. She found me wandering around at a rest stop in Delaware, high on drugs, talking ragtime. She got me cleaned up. Helped me land a job in the insurance game. She got me to try Lumosity. Keep the brain sharp. After about a week on it, all these memories came flooding back, Staten Island, Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, that Dilbert looking guy. That’s when I realized I was being tested. I’m off to see Nandor in hopes of finally becoming a vampire. Thank you Lumosity for giving me my life back!

Weird Questions. I saw this game in an ad and thought it would be fun to try. I absolutely love brain games and puzzles. However, when I downloaded it, it asked me to create an account. So I thought “ok sure, they don’t really seem like the type that steals your information”. Once I gave it my email, it asked for my birthdate. This seemed a little weird, but I thought I might just want to see if you’re old enough for some of the puzzles. So I put that in too. But then it kept asking. My gender? My education? Why does it even need that stuff? I don’t know if this app is actually stealing your personal information or not, but those questions seem a little sketchy. I deleted the app, but if you could tell me why you ask those questions and what you do with the info, I might be more inclined to redownload. (Is that a word?) Thank you for reading.

First review. I am excited for this app!! I downloaded this a month or so ago, forgot, rediscovered it again last night. Has been the story of my life, since sustaining a major concussion over a year ago. It took almost a year to rehabilitate my body, relearning simple tasks from brushing my teeth to walking. A concussion isn’t simple, & extremely frustrating. This app has kept my attention, the games are paced with me, leaving me feeling less frustrated & annoyed with myself. This app allows me to understand which areas I could focus on more. Looking forward to continuing use, then editing this review. Thank y’all!!

Great for Brain Sharpening!. I recommend Lumosity for those who are looking for an app to sharpen skills from fine motor skills to relaxation techniques. The games cover many subjects, from mathematics to counseling. Since it is an app, it’s available anytime, so one can train whenever it’s convenient. Of course, the more one trains, the better one becomes at the various games. My own weakest area is math, and I tend to avoid games in that group. But the app gently moves me back in that direction so I’m still getting math training—thank goodness! All in all, this is a great app, and I highly recommend it. I can’t make it through my day without it!

Excellent App. I highly recommend this game for everyone especially those of us getting a bit older. As we age, we need to keep our minds sharp and the variety of these games (even if just using the free version) is very good. At this point, my only improvement suggestion would be to fix the issue of not being able to control sound on an iPad while using this app. It also might be nice to have more than 3 games per day on the free version or lower the cost for the paid/premium version. I do understand the need for income but compared to many paid Apps, I find the cost a bit high.

Placebo Effect? Hmm.... So many people have commented that this game has helped with cognitive issues. Maybe that’s true OR maybe it’s just a placebo effect. You decide. I find it to be addictive rather than corrective. In my opinion, it’s a glorified version of Candy Crush. All I wanted to do was get to the next level! It’s worth a try but if you find yourself spending HOURS trying to reach the next level, you may want to revisit the reason you downloaded it in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, it’s FUN AND CHALLENGING! However, for the subscription fee, you may want to pick up a good book that will “challenge” as well as “educate”. And maybe by doing so, you’ll be able to add to your cash flow instead of deducting.

Real skeptical. Okay, so I’m jut playing the trial version and some of the games are fun and cute, but I want to know why this app thinks it’s any better for my brain than the hundreds of other puzzles game out there. Those other puzzle games don’t shame me by comparing me to other people and are free. Maybe luminosity is a bit more rounded in the type of games it has to offer, but the truth is I just want to keep playing the same game over and over which doesn’t make me improve as a person it just makes me a person who’s good at playing a handful of phone games, which I can accomplish by downloading literally any other free app. Sure the daily recommended games make me play outside my comfort zone, but also it makes me mad when I get a game I don’t like. So I will download a bunch of free apps and be just as smart and maybe a little less grumpy.

Long time user-now a senior citizen. Lumosity has helped me over several years to keep sharp. There is scoring on your 5year group for the range to give your comparative percentile. There are graphs which show accuracy in most games over time. All games are time based an the word games can help me rectify dips in speed and word finding acuity. Word Bubbles is best for this. Raindrops focus on simple arithmetic while Chalkboard Challenge helps with speedy estimations in two comparative equations. I credit Lumosity with slowing my overall age-related decline!

This Game Knows How To Make Me Pull Out My Wallet. This game was something I didn’t know I was missing in my life and I have deep regret for finding out about it today and not sooner. I tried it out after I googled some brain games and this came up. The trains alone was enough to make play more because let’s be real, they’re just that darn cute. This was the only app I could find that had math in it and actual fun games so I was like “Yup, this is for me.” So now I am a full-time subscriber from here on out. 👍

So helpful. Ever since I downloaded this app my life has been so relaxing, peaceful, and easy. I’ve been doing better with not getting distracted in school because of all the practicing I have been doing on this app, and it’s not boring sometimes when people download a brain app the think that uhhh this is going to be boring but this app is not like that. There is fun games to help to do whatever you need help with. I do want the premium version to not cost any money. Because I love this game so much that I don’t want the premium version to cost a lot. But so far nothing is wrong with the app there’s even meditation. So I hope you like the app as much as I do.😁😉

Best App for Children. If you have kids with a serious addiction to IPad games then this app is for you! What better way to learn than playing interactive game to boost and practice basic skills like attention and memory. It’s fun and it’s for all ages! It took me 5 years to realize that I had to buy the full version which now has mindfulness exercises included within the app. I work in a elementary school, and sometimes you see children having a hard time focusing or learning math. Lumosity it’s definitely the way to go!

Poor Keypad Layout. Been using it for several months The games are pretty decent but unless you have super nimble thumbs you will not be able to get an optimal reflection of your mental ability. For example with rain drops, you may know every solution to the math problems falling from the sky but the keyboard is very small and the heat sensors pick up the wrong characters. In memory matrix, they pick up the wrong squares. In word bubbles, constant misspelling for the same reason and time waste due to all the backspacing required to get the correct spelling. I emailed the developers but it looks like they don’t want to fix anything or make a larger keypad to make the games playable. I don’t think I will renew this subscription.

Challenges. I like playing the games, sometimes I play the same ones, I like the redirection or suggestions. I get advice which is helpful. It's challenging, fun, and strategic. Wish there were more different games to play more frequent then what is offered. Be nice to have more explanations of the compare chart which I don't always understand, more memory games, and any spatial type games? Keep up with creating new games, explanations so others may understand how to improve or what they may be doing wrong. Sometimes too repetitious but it's still good to play again.

Only game app I’ve ever paid for. I might be the longest user - on and off throughout the years. This app is the one game app I’ve paid a subscription for. It continues to entertain me and sharpen my mental skills. The games are fun and meaningful. I look forward to playing in the mornings and do feel more aware and grounded after my set of games. The training is completed in a few short minutes and does not require much time, but you’re free to continue playing if you wish. I love how it shows how you measure up to others in your age group. I do only wish that the price was a bit cheaper.

I wanted to love it. Rather than cultivating accomplishment of tasks… this product gets bogged down in convoluted and truly clumsy images and goals. The graphics are child like, the games redundant and so boring - and often inaccurate. In particular, word definitions or equivalencies - are not accurate (according to Webster) or just dissonant - as though non-English language persons had designed it. My biggest beef… was that the games never change. In one month I kept seeing the same little cartoony games that were uninspiring and didn’t test my logic or skills but my ability to tolerate repetitive, confusing or vague goals. Even though I paid the annual fee… I’ve deleted it. I suggest getting a trial and use daily. Then you can see for yourself.

Great but needs some work. Ok don't get me wrong this brain training app is awesome and I love it, it really exercises my brain and helps a lot but a lot of the things are not free. So for a casual player (like me) this game can get expensive if you bought the premium but if you didn't it really still doesn't offer that much per day! My point is you can keep the premium but either make it less expensive or just remove it all together. Another option is to make it so that casual players like me can do more then just 2 or 3 activities per day. Other then that this app is awesome it stretches your brain and makes it concentrate! Really enhances your memory and concentration ability, I would 98% recommend it

Keeping Brain Alert. I have been recently diagnosed with a degenerative brain disorder, and my doctor suggested I take up some brain games to help keep my brain alert. When I first started luminosity I struggled with some of the simplest tasks, which was quite frightening. I know my brain could do better and I stuck with it and I have been seeing great improvements every week. From simple cognitive tasks to daily math problems, I’m starting to feel the synapses in my brain reconnecting, and I think some of it is due to my work with Lumosity.

Brain Cancer. I’m a brain cancer survivor that was given 50 weeks to live in 1992 !! I have used Luminosity to help keep my brain active and increasing mental abilities. Playing Luminosity games is part of my daily activities. I am a brain cancer survivor and after 5 brain surgeries I still can play many of the games. Yes, the games are a great brain stimulator, even with 20 % of my brain being removed, I really enjoy playing the games!! Thank You!! I’m tired of going through all the junk to play a game. How can I get to the games now? It’s very frustrating. There are so many “pushes” to buy things it’s very frustrating !! I’m about ready to quit luminosity.

AMAZING!!. The one word I can use to describe this app is amazing. It’s such a great app. The mini games are challenging and show you how to improve and that’s the least of it. The app also compares your results with other people in your area and give you a little more motivation to play. The developers are very responsive to opinions you have about the mini games as well! I left a review on one mini game and within minutes I got a message saying that they fixed the problem. I 100% recommend paying for the PRO version. Keep up the great work!
