Excellent, fun app. Easy to use, good sound, helpful in learning some piano.

Updates??. I don’t understand why the developer refuses to update this app. This is a fantastic app and it sounds marvelous. Many different pianos to choose from. This app is obviously severely out of date.. 6 years??? Really people??

Popup ads.. Be ready for in your face popup ads every time you open the app. You CANNOT proceed until you "No Thanks" the offering. Last count, three at startup. I bought your "stuff", please let it go.

Avoid this App. Pop-up ads on both free and paid versions. Unprofessional.. Do not download or buy this app if you plan to use it in a performance or studio environment. App has pop up ads even on paid $20 version that interfere with playing. Completely unprofessional.

No Longer Audiobus Compatible!!!. What's wrong with IKmultimedia? iGrand used to be the top Piano app, but since IOS 8 it won't work on Audiobus! And it's been that way for months! As of December 2014, about the only apps that used to be Audiobus compatible but still don't work are all from IK: iGrand, iLectric, and Vocalive! I can't recommend anybody buy this app since it has such bad support to keep it up to date. I'm going to delete iGrand, iLectric, Sampletank, and Vocalive and replace them with Korg Module. It might actually get me better sounds, taking less space, than those outdated apps from IK.

Even the free version is great. Good stuff.

Very Good Piano. I reviewed this piano app a few weeks ago ... Sounded great but it crashed. The bug is now fixed!!! Thanks guys! The fix too a few days and now this is one of my go - to apps for straight piano sounds. As with all iRig equipment I have used, I have suddenly found iGrand piano necessary for teaching,at home experiments and now, possibly gigging. Thanks again for the app ...

Great app, awesome stage tool.. I no longer worry about taking my keyboard around or worrying about the quality of the keyboard i am going to play on at a venue, I just bring this, ipad connection kit and usb hub and cable. Great samples, big sound. And honestly, regardless of how much of a tone snob you are, in the mix of a band it sounds like the real pianos. One word of warning however, the audio will sound cleaner coming out of something like a focusrite itrack dock or the Alexis io dock than just out of the headphone jack. But that's to be expected as I'm sure the headphone output is compressed and eq'd for actual headphones So if your looking for a stage setup invest in a dock with dedicated outs. And only one small gripes out the actual app, I paid for the app and all the extra sounds bundle through the free app. Now my icon still says free version on it even though I paid for the whole thing. If you guys could fix that that would be awesome.

TERRIBLE. Holy crap this is the worst app EVER pop ups every 2 seconds readers the app unusual instead of a good piano practice you get a big waste of time.

No Audiobus 2.0 Support. I've paid for nearly every IK Multimedia app (Amplitube, SampleTank, iLectric Piano, iGrand Piano and VocalLive), including most of the in-app purchases for each. I've been a loyal customer and have been impressed by the potential these apps offer. That said, I'll never buy another app from this developer. On January 2, 2015, there STILL is no update for Audiobus 2.0 support for iGrand Piano or iLectric Piano, and the compatibility update for VocalLive was just released on 12/31/2014, 3-1/2 months after the released of iOS8. When you ask the developer when these critical updates will be released, the company reps give only non-committal responses, and chastise you for having updated to the latest iOS. The one time I was given an actual date by which the update for iGrand Piano would be released, that date came and went but the update never did. Without Audiobus 2.0 support, these apps are just toys, without much practical value. In addition to the lack of customer support, IK Multimedia continues its practice of gouging its loyal customers by making us buy the exact same apps for our iPads and iPods Touch devices, rather than allowing one purchase to work on both devices. Few other quality app developers do that. All in all, I'm very unimpressed by the value for the considerable money I've spend on apps by this developer.

Great but. 1-lack of Audio unit extension 2-Baby grand sound is very annoying, as if two pianos are playing at the same time 3-can not export saved songs as MIDI. If those features are present, I will instantly buy the full app

Amature Hour. This app is unacceptable. The sound quality is excellent when it is not popping, distorting, or generally causing problems. This was the first piano app I bought and upgraded to Pro. I now use a compatitor’s piano app so that I don’t have to have my ear drums damaged from the noise it produces when you switch pianos. Please fix this. It could be a great product.

Quality and Beyond. Look, do you want to take a whole bunch of pianos with you for the appropriate occasion? Just get this then and you'll be in piano heaven. Ipad + 88 keys hammer action and I'm off to my gigs. They sound better than most pianos I've heard and I'm a sucker for great sounding pianos. Steinways and Yamahas, can't go wrong at all. Happy playing.

Wish list item.... Current full version as of now is running beautifully with my MIDI keyboard. Top quality sounds... as I expected. Please, PLEASE give us the ability to export MIDI files too, not just audio. Very small thing but it does eat me up just a little that after paying $20 for the app AND $10 for the extra pianos... my icon still says "free", AND, I'm still bugged with an advertisement message when I start the app. Those that are complaining about "bad" sound, I totally disagree. Check your earphones, your cables, the MIDI device you're using... These really are very good sounding pianos, especially for the relatively small size of the app.

Bit to pay for the ap-not thrilled with the purchase. Yep, bit to pay for the ap,was half price but still nearly $10. After paying for it and having to register to get the additional sounds-still didn't get all of them-had to pay for another additional ap. No thanks, I'll stick with these until I find another option.

From Beast to Beauty. IK has taken its sweet time, but in doing so has turned my original 1-star review, grousing about annoying ads and discounts that didn’t appear, to this 5-star, google-eyed encomium to my favorite iPad music app of all. Now with the most recent update, not only have they brought iGrand into the iOS8 world with IAA and Audiobus functionality, but have added a new IAP for piano/strings, harpsichords, layered piano sounds and more. Beautiful. I don’t think there’s another app of any kind that makes me as happy as when I sit down to play this thing. As a bonus, one of their booboos in the past was that the apps are not universal. Well, after (a) making the in-app purchase on my iPad and (b) registering my iRig MIDI on the iPhone, I discovered to my delight that ALL of the instruments are now included there. Yes, I still have the “Free” emblazoned on my full-price purchase (I upgraded from the Free to the Full Version, to use their uppercase. But to complain about that bit of housekeeping would be churlish and ungrateful. Bravo, IK Multimedia, for ascending to the throne of my iOS world.

good sound; little else to praise. I like the sounds of the various pianos but it seems as though the app is no longer supported. Audiobus never worked--still doesn't--and there hasn't been an update in over a year. The incessant pop-up ads make the app unusable.

Crappy service. Loved the app but when my iPad 4 sustained a crack I took it to apple and they replaced the iPad . I replaced the app but they wanted to charge me again for the upgrade to all the keyboards and my attempts to contact them to correct the problem I found no good way to access customer service. Good when it worked but poor if there is a problem.

Amazing and wishing for a Christmas discount for the full version. I used it with my iPad and the sound quality is fantastic, I just wished there would be a Christmas discount soon. Plus there are some audio issue when playing for a long time.

Don't waste your time or your money. Sound is mediocre. Touch responsiveness is abysmal. Pop up ads render the app useless.

No longer compatible with Auria & Audiobus. The app, while playable on its own, seems to no longer connect with Auria or Audiobus and thus can’t be recorded in a DAW. These piano sounds are some of the very best, especially the jazz upright and tack pianos. I’ve relied on this app for many years as a professional player and producer and would love to be able to continue to use these incredible instruments. I’m very grateful for everything this app has made possible- please, please show it the love it deserves update it. Thank you kindly.

Good when it works...which is rare.. Please fix the crash issues. I've been a big supporter of IK apps until now. I spent the $20 and now have an unusable app. FIX PLEASE!

Will not show up on ipad air. I downloaded and installed this app on ipad air. It does not show up on my screen. I hooked into itunes on my pc and it shows up in the apps as installed. I installed it again and it still does not show up on the ipad screen and it does not even show up in purchases on the app store app page. Strange indeed.Glad I tried this first and did not buy the paid version outright.

Was the first.... ...and was very good back in 2013. The new kids in town outshine it today with more dynamics. Still usable though, and sometimes fits just right in a dense mix.

Distortion hampers what is otherwise an excellent app.. Ever since iOS 9 there has been distortion when changing samples. I can no longer play any Ikmultimedia apps running in the background in unison, as program change causes notes to hang and popping noises. Since 2013 I have been using these apps, but the ability to live gig on an iPad Mini II/Air 1 has diminished with the advent of iOS9 update. Everything was fine before. Please fix!

Sound. I can't feel the at the same time that I touch. It has a delay. It's a problem when I play in stage.

For what I do.... I'll give this 5 stars. The intricacies of sampled piano sounds are enormous and not easily attained. I believe this is the best iOS true piano app out there. I use it live and have no complaints.

Inaccessible for Voiceover users. As much as I love my hardware keyboard from IK Multimedia I have to rate this app 1 star. I am a blind iPad user which requires me to use the Voiceover screenreader to read the application. Almost all of the controls in this app do not have accessible labels. With Voiceover running touching the buttons on the main screen of this app just speaks "button" instead of the name of the control.

No Audiobus, no Inter-app Audio. I guess it's fine for live performance but I think IK should spend more time implementing audiobus and/or inter-app audio into their apps and less time putting pop-up ads into everything they come out with.

Could you just fix the popping. It would be the best piano app if you did this one simple thing, people shouldn’t have to go through that, especially if they did in app purchases

Great app. Worth it!. I no longer have a physical piano or keyboard. However, with this app, I have lost nothing, but even gained more music practice at my own convenience. I am sure I’ll achieve my goal of sight reading with this app. I love it. 👍🏾

Amazing!. Hello, I’m a user of iGrand Piano! This game is amazing in so many ways! I was able to learn Beethoven and P!nk songs with this app, and it’s been a great experience! The only problem I have is that it hasn’t been updated in… 7 yrs?! That’s my only problem, it could use some refurbishment, but other then that, it’s a 10/10 for me!

Sounds good, but pop-ups have to go. Don't try playing this live. The incessant pop ups trying to sell you more IK software actually interrupt the sound on my version which is current. This makes the app unusable. Having said this, I admit to owning 4 major IK VSTs for my desktop based system and they are excellent. IK, please figure out another way to hype your products.

Don't see the in app purchase. The app doesn't show the additional instruments after purchase. It keeps saying purchase restored but I don't see any additional instruments. Please help.

bug. i noticed the bright piano c3 note is distorted and needs a fix ,otherwise cool app

Flash adds. The flash add pop ups ruin the quality of this and all their apps. Will not bother with this type of garbage on my iPad . I like sampletank but the same thing happens. I will not go beyond this major flaw with my review.

Can Run Midi Files through it!!. You can run midi files through it using an app such as Synthesia in the background!!! You have to know what you're doing though but it works!!!

M. I got the full vertion and my keyboard is 76 keys and only open 71 keys it open them all and it dosen't

Still shows FREE even after purchase. This app was initially downloaded as free. I decided to purchase and oddly enough it displays FREE still. I tried to get a refund but it never happened. I can't recommend a product from a source that ignores their customer base. I regret this purchase.

Very impressed. Must say after play the sample for a few hours tonight. Think it is to my ears is the best piano on IOS. You tube has a couple really nice clips of the diff sound sample. Myself em real happy with the sample right now till I decided.

Popups, even when upgraded. I bought an iRig Pro which comes with an upgrade code to get 3 full pianos. I got them but given that the app has a pop up to sell me something else around every 20 seconds, I can't even use the piano without being interrupted. Horrible user experience, loom elsewhere.

Great sound, no AudioBus still. I've been waiting for months for IK Media to fix the AudioBus problem. I'll give it 5 stars when that happens.

Good piano sound. Really like this piano. Don’t bother with the IRig Pro keyboard they are plugging though - it has a rubbish velocity response and isn’t playable with any feeling - a waste of time and not real cheap.

Error message to turn on mic in privacy setting.. I have owned this app for several years having purchased all in-app options & have had very few problems until now. I recently installed it on my 6th gen iPad and it gives me an error message upon opening that it does not have access to the audio input. It does not provide the usual message ‘allow access to microphone’ so there is no way I can fix the error. iGrand is not listed in Privacy->Microphone setting. This also occurs with the iLectric app. I can only assume that this is related to the newer iOS and the fact that this app hasn’t been updated in a very long time. Resetting all settings does not fix the problem. I have other older synth apps that installed fine. Please fix!

Where's the touch sensitivity?. Pretty disappointing, really. The sample quality is good - what you would expect from the creators of SampleTank. But for an app that touts itself as the premier piano instrument for iOS, and then not to incorporate even a basic touch sensitivity implementation, is pretty sad. Look to GarageBand, my friends. Now granted, that's an Apple product, but unless they're using some hidden API that only they have access to, the technology is right there, Eric, at your fingertips if you would but bother to implement it. Of course, if what you're trying to do is to sell you iPad MIDI keyboard and hardware peripherals, then I suppose I can see why you wouldn't want to push the envelop with the built in iPad hardware...

Not current, no audiobus or audiocopy support. Update: Audio bus support added. (App is getting better but still lots to go). Original review: Great samples but mostly a useless app. No touch support No audio bus support No keys resize support ( needed bad) No audiocopy/ paste support No chord support Good ideas, wrong execution. Useless for IOS recording at the moment. If updated to include all the above it would be amazing!

Very dissatisfied. I received an email telling me that the full version of this software and other apps from this developer were 50% off until Dec 1. But the price at the App Store has not changed. Worse, when I try to contact them I have to fill in a form which crashes every time I submit it. Not at all impressed. I have an irig pro keyboard but I might be looking elsewhere for apps as I am loosing faith I this company,

Why is there static?. I purchased iRig Keys (midi keyboard) and got this app included - a very good deal! Overall, I am impressed, but when first experimenting with this, I got a lot of static playing over a BlueTooth speaker (Jawbone Jambox - great quality sound). I *finally* solved this by discovering a setting - go to Menu, Settings, then scroll way down to "Dock Compatibility Mode." It was set to "A" so I switched it to "B" and, voila (!), no more static. How would I have known to go there? Just frustration and experimentation. I didn't believe IKM would put out a bad piece of software. Anyway, problem solved. So five stars now.

Really? $20?. I'm sorry,but the depth and sound are totally lacking.The GarageBand app,with more than just pianos to play,sounds WAY more professional than IKs attempt at a natural sounding piano.All in all,glad it was free...almost wasted $20 on this:(
