Great app; one possible improvement. Love this app for tracking my car maintenance. One change I’d like is to how it tracks mileage. The gas fill feature is buried and so inconvenient to access; plus it will not save a refill record unless you’re connected to WiFi or data, so I have to record each fill up manually and then enter it when I get home. Finally, the mileage recorded for a fill-up does not update the mileage for the car elsewhere in the app, so what’s up with that? If the refuel feature was better integrated with the rest of the app, this would be a perfect app. As it is, very useful; definitely recommended.

Great app!. I found a lot of history on my truck through this CARFAX Car Care app, including finding out the prior owner replaced the timing belt at 95,000 miles. I was buying it from a dealership at 115,000 miles. I was excited I did not have to make that large financial decision. I would not have known otherwise. I can enter in some of my own mechanical work, which is the same quality or better than taking it to a shop. Great CARFAX app for shopping for a vehicle and great Care Care app!

Great reminder to get my car serviced on time. I love it! The app helps me to get my car serviced done on time, reminds me and tells me how many more miles until my next service and the price range for each service needed. It also finds qualified shops near me; As well as keeping track of my average mileage every time I fill up my gas tank. -Right now I’m servicing my car and my Carfax app is already showing me that the car service is done... as I’m waiting for the technician to let me know that my car is done.

App logging out. I love this app! I love having a means to digitally log my fuel ups and car maintenance schedules. And then, something happened. It’s just been recent that after every time I use it and then close the app, the next time I go to open it, it logs my out citing some error message. When I attempt to login, it gives me another error message saying “failed to verify account” even though I’ve used this app since it’s inception. I’ve gone through the hoops to reset my password via a web browser only to find the same failed response from the app. I have found however that I can login normally on a browser with the same usual login info. The only way I have found to deal with this to delete the app and redownload it. I’ve done this 3 times now. Can we please get some attention to this. I’m really not interested in deleting/downloading an app after each use!

Email verification update broke app. UPDATE A FEW DAYS LATER ON 5/9/23: Developers responded to my review to sign out and sign back in and that did in fact fix the issue. I had even deleted the app and reinstalled a few days ago and even that didn’t work. I changed my review from 2 stars back to 5 now that the app is fully functioning again. This app used to be a good way to keep track of your cars and to see the service history but the latest update that added email verification rendered the app unusable. When I try to view or update my vehicle service history it requires to verify email address. I’ve done this multiple times over the past 4 days since the app was updated and the verification doesn’t do anything. The email verification link opens up in the browser and says “thanks for confirming” but the app still says I need to verify my email.

Great app! Has some bugs tho. Love being able to keep track of all of my DIY maintenance and non reported shop services! But the fuel economy tracker is a bit buggy. If you forget to add a fill up, then go back and add it after adding your most recent, the numbers for the most recent won’t update. So all of a sudden I got 50mpg this week. If you delete it and re enter it, it works fine but it’s a bit annoying. Overall I still love it and will continue to use it :)

Love this app, but.... This app is great for keeping track of services on our 7 Toyota’s. I love how it’s intuitive enough to load a vehicle by plate number, automatically receives updated registration and/or inspection info, and does a great job of keeping up with mileage. However my two small gripes with it are: 1- I don’t like the new “confirm mileage” that seems to want confirmation weekly. 3 of our vehicles are driven very rarely and digging out keys every week to check mileage and confirm is kind of a nuisance. 2- I don’t like the maintenance schedules preloaded mileage choice. For example, tires... the choices go from 5,000 to 7,500 miles between rotations. I buy all my tires at Costco, they set a 6,000 mile rotation schedule. So I either have to choose 5,000 in the app and go “over” on mileage for rotations or choose 7,500 and risk going over Costco’s 6,000 schedule because I won’t get a reminder on my app for 1,500 more miles. On a side note, what happened to the ability to change the order that my vehicles are in in my garage? I try to order mine based on how often they’re driven so the vehicles that see more use are at the top. Tonight I added a brand new vehicle and was unable to change it out of the bottom (latest) entry.

Good app that could be better. Posting this mostly for wanted enhancements. Like that I can see when next oil change, tire rotation are due but would like this also for the following: engine air filter, coolant flush, transmission flush, cabin air filter. And be able to set the mileage increment for those things. Make it optional to do for those of us that like that. I don’t always change those things exactly according to maintenance schedule so using your schedule really doesn’t help me very much. Having this capability would. Also, give option to set own increments instead of only being able to choose from a set list.

Could be better. Yes, it does help keep it track of our five vehicles. But entries take forever to register with Carfax and warnings about entered service continue showing. Constant reminders to visit App Store to 'upgrade' this app are frustrating - no upgrades show as available. Easy to use, helpful, but the frustration isn't worth the effort, as today's oil change entries won't clear the warnings for a week or more, and checking to see if they've cleared only produces popups warning me to visit the App Store to upgrade my app for better service. Might visit to see what else is available!

Good app but…. I love this app. But with every good there’s a bad my dashboard for the info on my vehicles are saying things are not fun for example one of my vehicles had a inspection but never updated I deleted the app and tried again but never found out why the app stop updating any of my vehicles my parents rely on me to keep there vehicles up to date I normally relay on what normal vehicles maintenance are and go by the app should recommend but overall good way to help keep your car running forever

Very bad book keeping. So from what I see tire rotation I put in last week because that’s when it was don’t as far as oil change that was done last month also Nh with front brakes . You people are telling me that I’m late on oil change and tire rotation but all that was put in just on Sunday my car was worth almost 7,000 now you telling me like 2400 , no thanks you people really don’t know what your doing so I give up bye bye Does anyone from carfax read anything are you people that stupied I think your app carfax maintaine needs to come off because it does hold anything true we have to keep putting the information in ourself WHY stupied so if someone is read this from carfax fix things or take the app down useless

My well maintenance badge. I had my oil and filter changed and the shop I used was in and out oil change on Broadway in Garland and Carfax is not recognizing this and they are threatening to take my well maintained badge away if I don’t get my oil and filter changed. I am not going to do it twice Also if you do it yourself it does not get counted because Carfax works with companies that are Carfax registered and if you use a shop or your neighbor next-door like me, who is a master mechanic does my work, I have the receipts and I still am being threatened to lose my badge because I did not go to a shop. I am a senior citizen on low income and there is a lot of work I can do myself. But Carfax will not recognize it even though I have receipts. So they can take their app and they can keep it because I am not gonna feel the pockets of some greedy dealer or whatever when I can do The work myself I am removing this application because they force you to go to shops that they approve of otherwise your work on your car does not count. This is a rip off and I would not ever use car fax. I am removing it. I take very good care of my car but because I use my own skills and the skills of very good mechanics that are not on their so-called list, they are taking my badge away because according to them I am not cooperating. Don’t use this application because they will threaten you with badge removal if you don’t take your car all the time to their shops

Makes car maintenance a breeze!. don’t review a ton of apps, when when an app legitimately improves my quality of life, I gotta do it. I’m terrible at remembering when I had my last oil change, when the inspection is due or even when the registration is due. Fahgettabout remembering when to rotate the tires! I would only think of checking a few times a year by checking various stickers on my or my wife’s car, and inevitably scramble to fix something a month or two out of date. If a garage didn’t have the stickers to shiw when an oil change is due, I wouldn’t go there. No garage would put a sticker for tire rotations, so they had no chance of being tracked. If I remembered to check one thing or another and was not near my car to see the stickers, I would forget it by the time I was near the car again. This app puts everything at your fingertips, and even alerts you when something is due, including manufacturer recalls!

Good App, but not fair it doesn’t allow mechanic service to appear on history reports. I’m a certified tech, so I work on my own vehicles. This app is good in that it lets you document your service work, except there doesn’t appear to be an option to allow these services to appear on Carfax History reports unless your a dealer. Really? Why not a paid for option for customers that take their cars to ASE certified shops to be able to record service work? The problem is Carfax history reports miss a lot of important information and are not reporting all relevant service work, which could easily be rectified by allowing car owners to upload receipts which would then put those services on history reports....C’mon Carfax, don’t just cater to “dealers” your preventing accurate information from being recorded, end users would be willing to have a paid option that would allow your data to be a lot more accurate overall...

No ability to correct an error. I’ve used the app for a while and it is handy for keeping track of basic maintenance. However, it is supposed to allow you to enter the current odometer reading on your car. The app estimates I have 42k miles on the car when it’s really some 1,000 miles less. I tried to change one of my cars mileage and get an error saying I can’t change the mileage to something less than a previous entry of 305,000 miles. Well, maybe I fat fingered the huge number, but now there’s no way to correct it. The developer should edit app to allow owner to enter the current mileage.

Can’t remove bad record from merchant. This app keeps warning me that I require an oil change when it’s not required for my car for five more months. Problem is that my car’s history accuracy is at the mercy of service centers that control my history. I just purchased new tires at 28,235 miles but the Tire company erroneously entered a record that my car has 48,235 miles. Consequently my registered mileage with this app is always 20,000 miles more than I have driven my car. Therefore I get all kinds of warning messages on both the app and via emails, that my car requires service for nearly any item that requires service. Unfortunately the user can not delete or edit the record created in error by the Tire company. Update: I have filled out twice their forms to create a trouble ticket. It’s been over three weeks and now I’m asked to fill out the same form, a third time.

Good but Chatty. It’s good, but it falls short and shouldn’t be relied upon entirely for your vehicle maintenance. The options err on the side of doing too much maintenance for your dollar. Spark plugs every 45K? Please, the reliability is so much better than it used to be. It also often misses aspects of the service, such as having my brakes inspected as part of a multi point inspection, leading to irrelevant recommendations. I really like the most useful feature of predicting when I’ll need my next oil change, but take the app with a grain of salt and use it as a general suggestion service rather than a guide.

Great app for staying on top of maintenance. I recently discovered this app after purchasing new tires and wanting to do a better job of staying on top of rotating them more frequently. My last tires did not last as long as they should have and I know I didn’t keep up with alignments and rotations like I should have. Once I created my profile and entered my VIN number, I was shocked to see my entire car maintenance downloaded for a complete history! Now I can refer back to the last time I did each service and get notification when the next service and annual inspection is due. I have been telling others about this app and I don’t do that for very many apps. Get it!

Almost there. First of all, it’s free so not much to complain about there. I love the fact that it keeps up with information on the car based upon the vin. At a glance, you can see the estimated car value and any recalls that may come out on your specific vehicle. I’ve only got two things I feel would improve the app. 1. Scheduled service mileage at a glance. They give an approximate date at a glance but you have to enter a new screen to get the mileage for the next service. Small issue but a glance would be nice when I have so many vehicles in my garage. 2. A place to put part numbers for servicing of each vehicle would be great. Maybe in the “glovebox” there could be a place for oil filter number, air filter number, etc. in order to grab this, you’ll need to go to your maintenance history and find the last service done - IF you even recorded it there.

Good app so far, but annoying notifications won’t go away. I like the app so far. It’s exactly what I needed in terms of staying on top of my vehicle maintenance and having the history in one place. My only issue is I keep getting the same notification reminders over and over again asking if I want to leave a review for the places I just had service done at. When I click no, they go away in that instance but then reappear very soon after. It’s extremely annoying because you’re expecting it to be a new notification and it’s end up being the same one over and over again.

Happy CAR!!!!!. I absolutely love Carfax. I know exactly what services I need and when, and also according to the age of my car and mileage, important things that need to get done before Carfax I didn’t know when I should get certain stuff done, and it made me very nervous.!!! And I bought myself a new car it was so important to me to take very good care of it and with Carfax I can absolutely do that now 100% in my car always runs great thank you Please don’t ever get rid of Carfax I would be so lost, Carfax you’re my best friend!!!

Nice, but very limited. If you want to manage your personal cars, and only want updates on oil changes, plate registration, and tire rotation, your search is over; this is a good app for that. You can also browse through your reported service history, and with a VIN or license plate #, you can get a mini-Carfax report (but no crash/salvage data). However, this app can only handle 8 cars, so if you have a small fleet, it won’t work. You also can’t manage other things like air filters, cabin air filters, and other fluid checks, but you can add receipts for them. I wanted to like this app, but the artificial limits on number of cars and inability to add other maintenance means I have to find a different app to manage those things.

A waste of time and loss of records.. I installed this app a long time ago to keep all of my cars maintenance records in one place and clean up some paper clutter. It worked good for a long time until last week when I tried to open the app and could not log into to my account. I received a message saying that Carfax had detected commercial activity on my account and blocked me from accessing my account. I know for sure that my account was not used commercially as it’s only signed in on my phone and no where else. I emailed customer support and received a reply telling me that the mycarfax app is not for commercial use and that I would need to purchase a commercial account. My work is in aviation and we don’t use/need carfax for anything with airplanes so there’s no reason to tell me that nonsense. So I kept very detailed logs of our 4 cars and now ALL of that information is gone unless I pay $$$. I learned long ago that nothing is for free and have learned that’s true with Carfax! Do yourself a favor and keep your maintenance records listed somewhere else. I’m out 3 years of maintenance history now, all thanks to Carfax.

App is ok, but has some issues. My biggest frustration is that the reminders for upcoming services are way too early, and there is no way to snooze them or reset them for a later date/mileage. For example, the 90,000 mile service reminder popped up, telling me it was coming up soon. I am at 82,500. It will be a year before I get to 90,000. So I either mark it as completed, or I ignore the reminder for a year, and when it actually applies, I won’t remember. Same with vehicle registrations - they remind me 3 weeks before I can even do my registration. There is also no app support, and there are only 5 items in the Help menu, and that’s it. No way to get actual help.

Very nice app! There is even real people behind it!. I recently left a bad review about the app, and I received a developer response by email. They helped me fixing the issue (that at the end had been an error on my side). I was able to retrieve all the data I had been uploading to the app for years, and now the service history for my car is up to date. Even if the app is free, the developer took the extra step to make an user happy. Thank you very much! Keep up the good work!

Car care. This is not always true to each situation. It seems to be based on average driving and car care. It is always off due to the fact that my husband is an auto tech and does all the up keep and maintenance. Even when I enter the services done, I continue to get messages that there is service due. Frustrating and sad that the price of the car may be impacted y this type of information which is not always accurate

Good try but company is unresponsive. ****Update #3**** Should be ZERO stars. Customer service, what’s that? CARFAX has absolutely no idea. I email them, I contact them through the app, nothing. nada. I still can’t change or update bad data. This is simply a way to keep the name CARFAX on your mind so you may be tempted to use the service where they make their money. Through CARFAX reports. Save your time, there are MUCH better vehicle apps in the App Store. ****Update #2**** Still nothing from customer service. The recent update seems good but does not address the fundamental problem. A user CANNOT edit or change most of the info you enter. And if the preprogrammed values are wrong, forget about it. They will NEVER change. These facts reduce this app to a fun but useless game. **** UPDATE**** The app is actually good, but DO NOT expect any kind of support, they don't care! This is a way to keep the CARFAX name on your mind in hopes you will pay money to use their service. I was asked to be a beta tester for My CarFax and I thought I might be able to offer some suggestions so I gave it a try. I even had a FaceTime session with them. But, NOTHING has come if it or any of my suggestions. My suggestions may not have been earth shattering but at first they would respond to my emails, but No more! It's like CarFax is giving up on the app, recent updates notwithstanding.

App incredibly inflexible. Carfax takes anything input by a shop as truth. I had a service appointment where the lazy technician put in some crazy high mileage for the car (30,000 miles too high). Of course that was reported to Carfax and now all of my service reminders are 30,000 wrong. There is no way to change it unless you want to file an investigation request with Carfax and provide a ton of information. I understand Carfax is just using what they pull for their reports for this app but that approach where the incorrect service reports are essentially unchangable make the service tracking app useless. Nice idea for the app but the service reports should not be immutable.

Not responsive. The app works fine for two of my three vehicles, but will not work with my Ford F-150. In fact it is stuck on the opening page of the F150 and I cannot switch to my other vehicles, nor can I update or even see the data for my F150. I have tried reloading several times and it works fine for my other vehicles but gets stuck when I change to the F150. Frankly, it isn’t worth bothering with.

Great app is you get your car serviced at dealers. After first setting this up with my four vehicles, I was very pleasantly surprised by how much data myCARFAX is able to automatically pull in. Very cool!!! But when it comes to manual entry, the interface is clunky and cumbersome. For example the spinner for selecting day of month (for a service date) constantly readjusts itself - so picking a date took me a full minute. Why not just let someone type in the day? If the app team did some useabity testing on the manual entry screens and cleaned up that mess, I’d easily give this 5 stars.

So Many Issues. 1) Maintenence schedule stopped loading. Had to delete vehicle from Garage and en-enter to get schedule to display again. Lost all the service history data I had entered. 2) Cannot edit service records that I've entered. Tried to delete and re-enter service record to correct some information, and discovered that you cannot delete service records that you've created! 3) Login works perfectly on iPad where I created account but cannot login on iPhone. Tried to reset password, but Forgot Password doesn't recognize my email address even though I can see the exact address I signed up with in the MyCarFax app settings on my iPad. Disappointed. Wasted a lot of my time entering service history for nothing.

Pretty good but still needs work.. I downloaded this app to track service history on an almost 20-year old vehicle. What I love is that the service and registration history auto populated after adding the vehicle to my garage in the app. It shows them by date and shop, and even lets me edit and search for the shop if it doesn’t show. The auto populate feature isn’t 100% accurate. What I dislike is that I can’t delete services that did not happen, only add others that aren’t showing. I’ll use a bit longer and just make notes under each service when it says something happened that is not on the receipt I’m also uploading.

Great App, wish I could export my data.. This App is great and I use it to track the service and maintenance on all of my family vehicles, even the motorcycle. It is easy and convenient and much better than my old hand written pages in my garage. The notes field allows me to put things like filter numbers, oil type, tire sizes etc so when I shop for things I have a quick reference in my hand. The one feature I would love to have is the ability to export all the service data to a CSV file. This would allow for a backup reference of my service data for safe keeping and if I need to show it to my mechanic etc. I understand you aim to make money on your vehicle reports. However, this is my service tracking data that I am providing to you and your data base. I should at least have the ability to save it for myself and not have to pay for a report on my own vehicle. I’ve been using the App for years, but if this feature is not added, I may look to start using another vehicle service tracking App.

Almost 5 Stars. I love the Car Fox app except for maybe two things. First one when I’m doing a service search, I do not get the information I’m looking for and sometimes it’s when I perform a few maintenance items on the same record. It only pulls up the info for the 1st item I record on the Service Tab. A good example is Brakes. If I record that I did shocks first snd brakes second, when I search for brake service history it won’t always come up. The 2nd that annoys me is that it will mot allow me to put my Mechanics shop as the service shop. I’m only guessing its because his shop may not be in your system because it doesn’t come up on a search for my area. So I end up putting Self down and puting his information in the notes. I was able to put his Shops name in when I first installed the app, about 15 years ago???? Any way thanks for a great app that helps me track my family’s vehicle maintenance. I’m always recommending it my friend’s. Joe F

Best automotive service records app ever!. I discovered this app after I bought a newer Ford Expedition for myself. First, you can add any VIN to pull up service records of a vehicle, so if you're car or truck shopping, it's a handy tool to look at vehicle history. Second, you can add your own service records, upload copies of receipts for parts and labor, input odometer readings, oil changes, vehicle maintenance, etc. You can add multiple vehicles to your "garage" and the app even knows when your registration is due and sends you reminders. You can also pull up open recalls, maintenance intervals, and keep track of your tire tread lifemfor all of your cars and trucks. All of this is directly linked to the nationwide carfax database. Some mechanic shops and all dealerships automatically update service records into this app, but if they don't, you can add them yourself. Give it a try, and embrace technology to make your life easier.

Repair noted before my dealer sale. O2 sensor causing check engine light to be on. Dealership has tried 2 sensors and a catalytic converter and still no luck with it. Sadly, I love the car, but dealership has offered to buy it back. They have gone out of their way to help fix the problem, but, the low cost and high cost of repairs ( 8 days of loner car, 2 nd. O2 sensor, testing and new catalytic converter) the check engine light was out, I drove 1 mile to the gas station and it went on again. I may be returning the car to the dealer.

Not designed for DIY. The idea and layout of the app is good, but it really isn’t designed for the DIY person. It is more appropriate for the person who takes their car to the shop for everything. Prime example is: While you can log any type of maintenance in the history log, you can only TRACK four things (oil change, brake inspection, tire condition, and registration). That’s it! Nothing else. The dashboard is not customizable to track additional things. As a DIY person I do not rely only on the published schedule. I want to be able to track custom date and mileage intervals for all sorts of extra things (e.g. wiper blades, transmission fluid/filter, differential fluid, coolant change, brake flush, cabin filter, engine air filter, timing belt, etc). The app is not capable of this. It would also be nice to have a separate section/log for repairs (separate from routine service).

No Cost tracking. Just downloaded the app to track the maintenance on my car. Was pleasantly surprised with all the data already there. But I am disappointed there is no option to record the costs of all these services. There is an option to upload receipts, but that’s only for documentation. I wish there was a way to manually input the costs of services. For example, I just DIY oil and filter change and tire rotation. I would like to input the cost of the oil and filter, but there is no option for that. If there is an option for this added to the app, I will change my review to 5 star.

Best sports luxury car. I recently traded my Infiniti G 35 for the Q60 LUXE and have been very pleased with the comfort and drivability not to mention how fast this car is. Since this is my first car with a turbo engine it took some getting use to the turbo lag but now not a problem. The car has beautiful exterior styling and interior is comfortable in driver compartment. I have no problem with the infotainment system even tho I have read many negative views. It has very good gas mileage I drove 320 miles in eco mode and use less than half of tank of gas and was not in conservative driving mode. This car drives well in all modes as I don’t have any plans on taking it to a track just wanted a car with power and comfort and the Q60 fits the bill.

Great tool. I love using Carfax car care it is a good tool to help maintain Your vehicles and keep up with the maintenance. And one nice Feature it will let you know when a maintenance is due also when you Trade out of your current vehicle for a new one the dealers look at the carfax to see if the vehicle was maintained . I recently traded my vehicle for a new one the dealer gave me the full trade value do to my carfax report highly recommend using carfax it pays off in the long run.

Feature Request. Love the app, would be five stars easily if: There was a missed fuel-up option, so that my mileage tracking doesn’t get skewed if I forget to track one or more fuel ups. With the option, it would just start tracking anew, I believe other fuel tracking apps have this feature. An option to track service intervals for maintenance items, like spark plugs or transmission fluid. For vehicles that don’t have a recommended service interval in the app, it would be nice to be allowed to manually input repair or maintenance items and set a mileage or time interval to keep track. Outside of just oil and tire rotations, and brake inspections, air filter, transmission fluid, coolant, belts, and other maintenance items would be fantastic if we could keep track of when those were last done and when they will need to be done.

Literally Useless. This app used to be great. You could track your car's maintenance and everything on it, and it would remind you when you needed an oil change or tire rotation, let you keep track of receipts for repairs, etc. But they updated it, and now you can only add maintenance for "Carfax official" places. And basically the only places that do that are dealerships, which are more expensive to do anything. This is extremely frustrating. I bought my tires from Discount Tire a few years ago, and was happily keeping track of rotations using the app. But then they updated the app, so when I got my tires rotated today, I can't add the record because it's not a "Carfax official" place or whatever. I will not be using the app any longer. You shouldn't bother to either unless you only get your maintenance at a dealership and don't want to keep track of DIY repairs.

Overall Great App With Some Bugs. A great app to track what repairs you get for your car and when. It’s super helpful for remembering when and where you’ve had your car serviced. You can even see service history for your used car that predates when you owned it supported by the breadth of CarFax’s auto service history database. There are a couple of weird bugs that prevent this from being a 5-star app. I’m getting an error whenever trying to upload a PDF receipt using the Upload Existing PDF option. Also, when I write a review for a garage, the apostrophes are removed from the review. A few quirky bugs that when fixed would improve the app.

Nice Overall but Missing Key Feature. The app has a clean and easy to use interface but it is missing a key feature. I need to be able to set more maintenance reminders than just oil and tire rotation. I want it to tell me when I need to replace coolant or an air filter and when those will be done so that I can make a to do list for myself and knock them out all at once. For example, I need the reminder to swap coolant every 3 years as recommended for my car without having to scroll through and figure out when I did it last. Add that in and this would jump up to 5 stars pretty quickly.

App update. I love the app it is set up very nice and convenient to remind you when your car needs service maintenance etc. The only thing that I have an issue with is whenever your phone does an update or the app doesn’t update on your phone like iOS it does not store your DIY information regarding the maintenance do you or have done on your vehicle and you lose your information and you have to go ahead and put it back in again it is so frustrating. It would be nice if they re-engineered the app that it will allow to save everything including your DIY maintenance that you do and not lose it every time you have an update.

False Repair info. I’ve had Geiko Insurance off and on for several years, but never was given the option to have a Carfax account in reference to my car, nor Realized that when I downloaded the Geiko Mobile app, that I was giving Geiko the permission to obtain any repairs or maintenance that I had done on my car until I recently had some repairs done to my BMW that someone, some how knew that I had recently had my car worked on, but the information that CARFAX obtained about my car and the work I had done on it, had NOTHING to do with the repairs, but they did claim that I had done a repair that the car shop told me that I needed to have a gasket replaced, but hadn’t done that yet. ? When I called and asked the repair shop about what info was given to Carfax, they knew nothing about it? That’s unsettling to know that, but more questions are left unanswered from Geiko and Carfax.

This App Is Garbage!. If I could give this App zero stars, I would! Where to begin? First off, for one of my cars for Oil Change, it shows “Start Tracking”, but in my History I clearly have an oil change showing that was reported by a shop that is part of CarFax. Even when I try to go in and manually enter the data, it still shows “Start Tracking”. I have a Self Service record that I didn’t enter, that I cannot delete. I’m trying to enter my tire info for my 2001 Mustang Cobra and it only allows me to enter 1 size for 4 tire set. My Cobra (as well as other high performance cars) has 2 different size tires…bigger size on the back. So, I changed the original record to show 2 tires and then went to create a new record to show 2 tires to reflect the different size changes. When I do that, it defaults the shop to a Self Service shop. I can go in the new record and change it to the shop that did the work, but after I save the record, it doesn’t hold the changes and defaults back to Self Service. It’s a shame that this app, since it is tied to CarFax, doesn’t work properly and doesn’t show accurate information. I have 4 vehicles on this app, and there is something wrong, somewhere for all 4. Good thing I log all service manually in a log book in the glove box of each car and keep all my invoices because this app sure has its problems…unreliable and unstable.

Used to love this app. Nothing worse than programmers who think that just because than can, they should. The new feature of major mileage service reminders is very annoying. My dealer inspects everything every time I visit. If it needs replacing, we discuss and replace the part. Thus, I don’t need to do the owner’s manual service plan. The only way to clear the notification is to say you did the full service plan. But again, I don’t service my vehicle that way. So, I’m left with the choice of an inaccurate service record or a constant red badge reminder, that is pointless. These type of things should be made optional in settings. If it’s helpful, it can be left on by the user. If not, then it can be turned off. But no, programmers know better than me as to how to care for my vehicle.

Where’s My Data?. I used to love this app! I put my family’s cars on there and at a glance I knew if there was a service coming up. There are a lot of different services on the app for when repairs are made, so I could track almost everything I needed. So why 1 star? Because TWICE the app deleted all my data. First time was about two years after I started using it and when I tried contacted the company repeatedly, I NEVER got a response. The second time was after the pandemic started and I started getting notifications that I haven’t entered new information lately. So I would update the mileage, rotate tires, do an oil change, and I still got the notices. Then one day it simply deleted my information. I can’t recommend an app that is not reliable.

Gas Mileage Tracker needs improvement. Very good app for tracking basic car maintenance history events. One feature that is problematic, however, is dealing with a missing fill-up when using the Gas Mileage Tracker. Although the Gas log allows the user to delete a previous entry, there is no way to compensate for a missed entry. This leads to an erroneously large spike in fuel economy as recorded in the Gas log and as displayed on the chart when the current fillup data is entered. The app should be updated to provide an option to “delete the current MPG calculation from the data set” because it’s invalid. Another idea is to test for invalid range and added fuel quantities based upon prior averages.

If privacy is an issue pass on this one.. The app itself is pretty good. Not perfect but good. I would have given it 4 stars if Carfax didn’t mine your data. I have no problem with them knowing when my car had an oil change but I have to be careful not to enter any personal information because it is not private.

This app has so much potential. Not able to set reminders for upcoming repairs and maintenance. A lot comes to maintaining a car but this app seems limited to only three things: Oil changes, Registration, and thread life. What about brake replacements? Safety Inspections? Engine check? Power steering? Engine coolant flush? The list goes on. Why is it only limited to three things and then not give us the flexibility to add our own maintenance schedule? We shouldn’t just be able to record past service records but also add reminders for our own maintenance schedule. It seems that the developer of this app is really good in making apps but has no knowledge or experience in cars whatsoever. The fact that this is by CarFax disappoints me….

Great app, now the mileage tracker is back. I really like this App and am glad they listened to their users and brought back the mileage tracker. The app keeps all of my service records at hand and provides me with useful information, the most being the mileage tracker. It has great reminders for regular maintenance, notifications for factory recalls, and a user friendly interface.

It’s a good start. It’s nice to have maintenance records added automatically from participating dealers, but there are so many glitches it’s almost enough to make me stop. Trying to use the date picker makes it hide so you can’t actually use it. You can scale your vehicle photo, but there’s no way to save it or advance without cancelling and going back without any changes. Giving it permission to access selected photos gives the app a mild stroke and will let you select or deselect the photos you want it to access, but not actually advance to the point where you can pick the photo you want to use for your vehicle.

Do Not use Apple ID to register!. If you use apple ID to register/sign-in you will come across issues logging in. Can’t speak for all log-in types

Awesome. Love this app, reminders, service item approximate costs, and it allows you to update / add service records and receipts!!!

Removed feature - FUEL ECONOMY. I have been using this app for a few years... I’ve been recommending it to all my friends. When you removed fuel economy, the usefulness disappeared. Bring back fuel economy! Without it, this app is a simple data gathering tool for car care... formerly carfax. Put back fuel economy! And make the lock screen widget actually work...

No car info. App does not recognize the VIN or plate number for my car. Makes this app useless.

Une belle découverte. J’ai découvert tous les côtés pratiques de cette application. Superbe, tant pour un véhicule neuf que pour une auto avec une longue historique!

Ok. Alright Ok

Like the new tire creature but coil be better. Should add Support of Winter Tire sets separate of the summer tire sets. Also wheel placement to track tire rotation.

👌👌👌. Love using this app!

New phone, no data transferred with existing account??. Would be nice if I didn’t have to RE-ENTER all the data I’ve accumulated with 5 vehicles over the past few years!!!

Good but needs more options to track maintenance schedule. Want to be able to modify default maintenance schedule. Also to set other reminder on dashboard based on that maintenance schedule. Developers - it's so close! Add these options and it'll be perfect

First available. What year was this app first available on iOS or google play?

Can’t sign in. Button to create new account is broken! I even signed up on the website and then came back and tried the sign in button instead. Still can’t log in. Very disappointing.

not good for old cars. because you have to search car by VIN, if you have a car from before vins got digitized or whatever it wont work! my car is from '73 and this app wont recognize the vin.

So Annoying!. This App was great for checking on cars i own and are going to buy, as i buy lots of vehicles this update sucks! Get rid of all thr prompts once i enter the plate and just bring me straight to the dashboard! This app is gone to the dumps!

Newest Update Crashes. I loved this App until I couldn't use it anymore because the latest update crashes the App!?

Where is fuel tracking?. I used the app to track numerous items. Now all my fuel tracking is gone. I’m assuming this feature has been removed. Moving to something else.

problems changing the intervals oil change to KM 10,000. Having problems changing the intervals on oil change to KM 10,000

Confusing as hell. My service shop, one of the largest franchised Toyota dealers in BC, JIm Pattison Toyota Victoria, is not a reporting shop. I found it very confusing how to enter my service information. Same was true for tire change at Quadra Big O tires in Victoria. Not sure if most major shops have opted out of coordinating with this app.

Mileage tracker returns!. Nice to see the mileage tracker back in the new version.

Could be more flexible. My maintenance handbook suggests tire rotation every 4 months, but the app only allows every 3 or 6.

Hung within first 5 minutes of use. I was editing the registration info for my used car and the app became non responsive. I wouldn’t trust my data with this app.

Gas mileage gone?. App works. Sad that gas mileage tracking is gone.

App is broken. App suddenly stopped importing service, and will no longer allow me to add service (there are no services to choose from) to the app manually. EDIT: can’t reply to your reply. No one answers that email address. I tried it first, twice.

Good. But room for improvements. Love how the app seems to be updated regularly. I wish you could things like replaced brake pads and rotors. And that items like that would show on the dashboard like the oil change so you have a rough idea when you should be looking to replace them. Everything that's in you maintenance schedule tab you should have the option to specify whether you've In inspected, replaced, flushed etc. Also it would be nice that if you haven't addressed any of the items that are outlined in your maintenance schedule that it shows up up much like the recall notice to either defer or enter when the item was serviced. Good app just keep working on it

Well-Integrated, Featured Tracking App. Great choice for anyone who cares to track their vehicle maintenance, recalls and kilometres. Would like to see an option to prevent automatic kilometre adjustments and instead keep the user’s input.

Doesn’t work any more after update. Doesn’t work any more after update

A little tool the big knowledge. This little app was awesome it help me keep my truck and car organized for fuel economy change of tires and keep track of all problems that may persist in the future

Apps shutting down. This application is a good help to monitor the history of your vehicle but the problem is that it’s shutting down and when that happens you will lose all the records that you have entered into it.

Looked promising but hung after 5 minutes. Still problems with syncing registrations with public records. Once it’s hung, impossible to fix. Even deleting and reinstalling didn’t help.

Really good, missing a few features. I really love how it takes data from carfax and it combines it with manually entered data, that makes it incredibly useful. The one feature that it needs to add it is more scheduled items on the dashboard (make it configurable), I would like to see brake fluid intervals, cabin air filter, air filter, transmission, etc. Many cars don’t have maintenance reminders, even so many owners don’t follow them exactly. It would be an amazing feature!

Basic Car. Nissan Micra is a basic car, which could let you go from point A to point B without any problem. Love it so far!

Plate look up doesn’t work for MB. Plate look up stopped working in MB Canada. Stopped working recently.

Carfax. This is an amazing app for anyone interested in keeping track of their vehicle. Only wish this app could link to my wife’s app and update on my phone using family sharing or something similar. Hope the developer decides to do this as it would make it so much better and far easier for me to track my wife’s cars needs, oil change, fuel consumption etc… from my phone.

Doesn’t work anymore. It was great but now the app says my email address or password is invalid, even though they work fine on the website. I tried the “forgot password” option but it makes no difference. Now I can’t easily access over a year’s worth of data.

Not Good. It was good for a year, then I couldn’t login anymore. So now I have no access to the maintenance information for my vehicles or the records. This may not seem to bad but after a week of trying to log in and multiple requests for a password reset with absolutely no response I say give this app a pass and try something else.

More car adds. I wish you good add more vehicles

Carfax. Love the App. Easy to keep track of all vehicle maintenance records. Just suggest to have more options for oil change intervals.

Cool App. Easy used app

Fantastic way to track maintenance. Thanks CarFax for the amazing way to track when my vehicle needs to be maintained and open recalls, as well as operating manual scheduled maintenance. I also appreciate the opportunity to track oil jobs that I complete myself

New update causing problems. The new update creates a lag spike with screen freeze. None of this occurs with any other app except for Carfax Car Care’s new updated app.

Does not work in Canadian region. If the features don’t work in Canada then why are you allowing Canadians to download this app? Region lock it to US only. Can’t see details of car service history.

Nothing is working. Can’t seem to find any info on my vehicles!

Good but the UI should be improved. I hope for a better UI , sorting, search, visual candy...

Wrong info. It shows completely wrong info about my car. It says that my car has 74k Kms while it has 67k. It shows that haven’t done oil change in 17k kms while I do every 5k in a dealership or AMVIC licensed shop.

Was great until latest update. I have been using this app for years to keep track of my fuel usage and with the latest update they removed it an I lost all my previous data

Shows History. I bought my vehicle used a few months ago. I got this app just so I could keep track of my maintenance and repairs. After I put my info in, I was surprised to see that my recent repair was already in there… as well as all the history the previous owner did. I loved being able to see that the car went in for regular maintenance. Definitely recommend if you have bought your vehicle used.

Car Fax app for Maintenance. I like the car fax app better than the Lincoln and Ford apps that I have used. It is very user friendly. It not only give you your vehicles value on an on going basis it automatically uploads when you have service done and information is added into the computer. You can enter DYI maintenance, upload receipts, photos ect. It tells you when oil changes, inspections, and registration is due. Nice app

One Problem. I think the app is great but there’s one flaw that’s keeping me from giving it five stars. The function that tracks your fuel efficiency doesn’t have a feature that lets you tell it that you forgot to record a fill up. So whichever fill-up happens after the one or two that you missed will have an incredibly high mpg that will throw off your average. It would be great if you could check a box that removes that datapoint from the average and the graph. Without this, the only work around is to make up fake data for the fill-ups that you forgot to record, which kind of defeats the purpose of this.

Usage ???. First off I use the free version, I don’t know if this applies to the subscribers. I like that it keeps up with your service records and DIY’s. It has a large selection on “parts” that can be serviced. You can contact places to schedule service to the vehicle. The Notes and being able to take pics of receipts is cool too. It also keeps up with mileage at time of service, which is handy just by its self. The reason for only 3 stars. I would like to be able to change or add other things to the main page. Something other than oil, registration, tires. The main thing I don’t like is you can’t pull a carfax for the car you own unless you pay for it. If carfax want me to upload info on my car to their servers, then I should be able to at least pull my cars in my “garage”. If it wasn’t for that I’d give it 5 stars all day.

Good but needs tweaking. Nice app and I like it but suggest some rearranging. Fuel tracking should be more readily available it’s the item used most. There is a app called Fuel Monitor-that tracks fuel and maintenance that does a fantastic job at fuel tracking. Car fax ought to review it and take-a couple lessons. Otherwise to have a vehicle history especially at selling time is very important. Wouldn’t take much to make this a great app.

Frustrating. The app does what I need it to and keeps track of my vehicles. But every few month it asks for a e-mail verification when trying to get to the Service tab, but when I try to verify my e-mail it just pops back up within the app as if I didn’t do the verification. Would give it a better star rating if this was fixed

Unable to sign in. I have been using this app for several years and very happy with it. But several weeks ago for some unknown reason I am unable to sign in on my iPhone app. I can still login using PC but when I open the app and enter my UID and PW the app simply won't give any option to move forward. I have changed my password and remove the app and reinstall it again but can't log in

No Capability to download data. Carfax does not provide capability for customers to download the maintenance data they have entered into the Carfax database. Many customers such as myself, rely on that data to effectively and efficiently maintain maintenance records. If the Carfax database becomes corrupted or Carfax decides to no longer support the app, then customer data is lost. The company should provide the capability for customers to download their data. It is not that difficult.

Great place to car shop.. I enjoy checking out various car prices. The site gives a person a chance to look up different cars & their options. It then lets you know if the price is low about right or a really good buy. If interested, you have the ability to contact the site. Also, if you plan to sell your car or trade it in this will give you an idea as to what others are asking for a similar vehicle.

Good idea. Sync and login issues. I love the concept of this app, and it has saved me money at dealer (from charging for services that are not needed). Only issue is regularly having issues logging out and not being able to log back in (server issues). This happens randomly and leaves you stranded when you need it the most. I have reported this, but they appear too proud to address the issue. Workaround is to use web version, hitch is great if you happen to be at home when you need to use it!

Error message. Update!. Error message: “Data could not be serialized” Update: I talked with support team member Shanice who was super helpful and worked with me for five days to get the problem fixed! I love this app and use it multiple times per day for work (Parking Enforcement Officer) so I was super bummed when it froze bc it was the first problem I have ever had with the app. I’m so glad that it is working. Thank you Shanice!!!

Great electronic logbook with frequent crashes. Not a perfect app, but it allows DIY’ers like myself to track all maintenance performed and have it populate on a Carfax report. Was able to sell my last truck with 100% of the maintenance performed by me and it satisfied the new buyer by being able to see what I had done. The app does crash all the time and the mileage updates don’t work half the time. Maybe they’ll fix this with later updates. Who knows.

Good update. This app is a really good app to keep track of your car maintenance! The new update is great. They added new features and new app look. Heads up after you update: if you open the app again after updating and get a security error message pop up that wont let you refresh. Log out of your account and log in agian! This happen to me and so far the security error message never came back after i logged back in

More than half be device for a vehicle?. First of all the app itself is a 4.5 and maybe even a 5 star app but it is lacking. What do I mean? Ok I have my vehicles on my device… GREAT when it comes to my sons car (17 yrs old) I can’t see his diy updates nor can he see when I do a diy service for him… WHY?! This is why I give the app 3 stars vs 5! It obviously does NOT update with diy work. When I started I just wanted an update but now that I’m typing this it makes me mad now… maybe it’s time to move on to another app!

Unable to log in anywhere. App or mobile site, I’m not able to log in. Resetting my password since the removal of Facebook connection doesn’t work and I keep getting messages that say “Oopsie!” and “Something bad just happened!” No way to resolve and Submit button remains after I have entered new password. Did it take? Who knows! It doesn’t recognize it anywhere 🎉

Great App if repair Shop enter right data. The app works good for me have been using it for many years now with few problems and on different operating systems The only problem is the repair shops wording don’t match the app menu so it don’t update right. I enter my own updates but then I wind up with two entries mine and the repair shops Eliminate letting the repair shop enter data and let us do it but keep everything else

Bloated with Content creep. First, I love that when I enter one of my vehicles I get the Carfax history from it. But that benefit is offset by the frustration of how many features and complication they have added to this app so that it is no longer fun to use. Now it is a trudge to get through prompts and suggestions and unnecessaryextras just to add information. Worst of all is that nothing that I enter as an owner of the vehicle goes onto the Carfax report in the future. So why should I use this?

Just one thing. I love the app, but I think there should be an option for it to have a tracking option, instead of a guessed calculation of our miles. I always have to return and fix “Today’s Mileage” because it’s always wrong, at the end of the day. It’d make our lives easier and/or less complicated. We won’t always remember to be updating that.

Loses records. I have used this app for three years. Today I opened it to add a self-service record. ALL of my self-service records for all three of my card were missing. Only dealer records remained. I had to learn the hard way not to trust this app. I need to edit this review. The problem was on my end. I signed into the app with a different account. Only the account I input the DIY data will show the DIY service. But it’s all there.

Keeps getting better and better!. I’ve been using this app for a few years, and honestly, it just keeps getting better and better. I use the app primarily to track my mileage and my service record. Lots of other features that I’ll explore at some point. At this point I’d be pretty bummed if it went away…one of the few apps I use on a weekly basis.💪

Tire rotation issue. I like and appreciate this app for the most part. Been using it 6 months now & when it came time to rotate my tires and check my brakes.. (that’s one for the few things I have no issue doing myself and saving ~$50...) my issue became that the app does not seem to allow me to update that for myself. Furthermore it is only giving me the option to schedule the work at the dealer I purchased the vehicle from.. what if I wanted to schedule the work some place else? Or move to another state? So now the app insists I’m way overdue for something I’ve taken care of myself :(

Information disappeared ‘account restricted’. Most of my information disappeared. I reached out to support and after a few tries was able to get in touch with someone who told me that my account was restricted due to the volume of cars. I am a Turo host and enthusiast. I have had many cars in the last few years that I’ve utilized Car Care and myCarfax Garage. Very disappointed and a waste of time uploading my documents.

Pretty Good UI, Some Improvements Needed. I’ve been using the app for a few days now. So far it is much better than another app I was using. A few improvements I’ve noted… - For “tire purchase”, consider adding a simple checkbox to indicate the tires came new with the vehicle - For “tire purchase” there is an option to indicate how many tires were purchased, 1-4. Consider adding a 5th tire - For “Tire rotation”, consider adding selection option for rotation pattern. For example, 4 tire fwd, 5 tire 4wd, etc.

1 complaint. For the miles until next oil change, it’ll be like (5,000 mi/6 mo.) Alerts me when I get 6 mo in, not 5k miles. I would like to toggle it so the alert comes when I surpass/get close to 5k miles instead of 6 months. I don’t drive nearly as much as is “recommended” in a sense, so I would prefer alerts to be targeted towards miles and not months. Otherwise, I really enjoy this app, it’s very helpful for someone like me who isn’t as familiar with cars

It’s so helpful to keep track of all cars. Our family has been using this app for years and it’s super helpful when having to look back at the history of a vehicle to figure out what was done and when. Also, it helps when scheduling maintenance. I love the fact that I can add my receipts so I can refer back to them !

Good so far, but…. App appears to be solid, but it has one serious flaw. To add a new vehicle you can only enter the VIN and search, or enter the license plate number and state and then search. In my case, I have a ‘73 Ford Bronco and the VIN isn’t long enough to enable the search. When entering the license plate number and state, the app couldn’t find any information. There should be a way to manually enter a vehicle. Maybe there already is, but it wasn’t apparent to me.

Fatal flaw for me. It seems like everything is great. Almost. Be very aware that you are helping Carfax to complete the car history on your vehicles when you put information into this app. For me the fatal flaw is that the non-dealership location where we get our older cars serviced is not listed in the Carfax app’s directory right now. That means every time I have to enter a service record for any of my five cars I will have to type in the name, address, telephone number, etc. for this shop. I refuse to do this and I am going to look for another app now because of it.

Tire tracking is a bit off. I was happy to see they added the tire section. Being that I just got a whole set over the course of the year I thought this would be a great way to track them. The set of 2 I got I entered, and put in the exact mileage. It’s now showing red because they are a year old. Even if I change the tread life reminder to 2-3 years, it still shows red. The tires are still great. I know years do make a difference but I think a year is ok to still show safe and not need replacement

Easy to use. Love this app, you can update what you have done to your car, and it also remind you to do car inspection and oil change even tire change , so much it does that I can’t explain everything here but it’s a useful app to have especially if you have a car that doesn’t give you a check engine light or service light to change your oil and much more

Excellent tool. I’m enjoying CarFax. CarFax really makes it easy for me to maintain my car correctly. It gives me the proper time intervals as to when repairs need to be completed. I also like the fact that I can review my history on prior repairs. I absolutely love this application. There is no guesswork. Car Fax is very precise. I highly recommend the application. It’s well-deserving of a 5-star rating!! Excellent!!!

Worthwhile Tool For Keeping Auto in Top Conditon. Today my trusted car service provider recommended changing my water pump on my 2001 GMC Yukon. Quick check on CarFax repair tracker informed to me that it has never been replaced. So wow, great tool for me to feel confident about approving this important service. It’s great to have over twenty years of records all in one place.

Where has this app been all my life?!. I’m always on the lookout for a good car care app and stumbled upon this one while purchasing a Car Fax report on a used car for my daughter. I like how the app automatically updates mileage and service but it’s a little creepy at the same time. How do they get this info?? It’s ok, though, because it makes the app super convenient. I can’t believe it’s free too! A great app!!!

Poor customer service. I’ve emailed twice in the last few months with no response. Some how false records are being reported for my car from out of my area towns and shops. Would be bad enough except the mileage is way different than mine and it will not let me put my correct mileage in because it’s less than what these false records are. This makes this app pointless for keeping track of my oil changes and tire rotations etc. Up until this started happening and getting no response from customer service I loved this app.

Badge won’t disappear. I hate apps that put a badge on the icon for no reason. I hate those apps even more when no matter what you do in the app, you can’t get the badge to disappear. I’ve gone out of my way to find anything in the app that is asking for my attention and I’ve given it my attention. Stupid “1” badge on the app icon won’t go away. About ready to delete it.

Too limited. A great app if all you are interested in is tracking oil change his tire rotations and registration stickers. But my car tells me when it needs an oil change and the state I live in sends me a registration renewal notice email, And so the only real value is the tire rotation reminder. What about all the other stuff one should do such as transmission fluid change, brake pad replacement, brake rotor replacement, engine air filter replacement, cabin air filter replacement, spark plug replacement, Brake fluid flush, front and rear differential and transfer case fluid replacement for 4WD, Engine coolant flush, timing belt replacement for some cars. Did I forget anything? Probably did, but that’s why I need an app that will remind me of all these things. Big swing and a miss.

MyCARFAX problems. This app used to be good. Nothing works right anymore and I’m tired of it. I highly recommend that you do not use this app. Records are not accurate, and car values are a joke. Registration records are never correct, the county of where the vehicle has or is registered in is no longer available to be seen on registration records found under service. Nothing is being done about it and they just keep adding stuff to make people happy. I don’t like this app anymore and I’m still considering deleting it. I’ve used this app for over four years and it keeps getting worse. This app needs serious help and Carfax is a rip off.

Great app, very useful for shade tree mechanics!. I do all my own maintenance and most of my own break/fixes on our automobiles, and keeping track of what, when, and how many miles at time of service was always haphazard before. This app made all that a breeze. I definitely recommend this app for any shade tree mechanics out there that have struggled to keep accurate records while having them readily accessible on demand.

Best App for Maitnace recording and reminders.. We have three vehicles and sometimes it’s hard to remember when to rotate our tires, oil changes, state inspections... I highly recommend you use the app for a piece of mind. Also when you sell your vehicle and a potential buyers sees your vehicles CarFax they will know you did your maintenance on time. This kind of record keeping will allow you to get top dollar on a trade or when you sell your vehicle privately.

Very Disappointed. I’ve been using this app for 2-1/2 years to track my car maintenance. I’ve done a lot my self and this has let me track those as well. I’ve also been manually tracking tire rotations at Discount Tire and work my mechanic has done. About a month ago I opened the app and anything that I inputted is gone! I don’t have any of it! I sent a message through the website and have heard nothing in over a week! I was relying on this app to keep track of these things, but I guess I shouldn’t trust tech with this important info. I’m going to keep paper records from now on! Be warned!

Best Car Log App. I keep track of everything with this app: Oil changes, where, cost Gas, cost and its efficiency is accurate Tires, rotation, balancing, alerts when new tires are needed Wheeling alignment Car registration I even mention each small part replaced, Belts, brakes, struts, even whippers. It would be nice that ALL parts on the car have notifications or recommendations when parts should be replaced. (Belts, whippers, brake pads, etc.) Overall, out of other 3 apps I’ve used in the past. I stuck to this one. Has most of what I like. Not all but hopefully they’ll get there ISSUE*** If only I could upload my receipts. The option is there. I save my PDFs to iCloud drive and then chose the upload upload receipt option on this app and stays on throbber. I have to manually close the app

Concept is great, a few glitches. Overall love the app, great for keeping track of maintenance, however the timelines don’t adjust properly, for example doing an oil change, still says an oil change is due in 3 months no matter how I adjust the reminder/interval setting (set to remind every 12 months). A few times it’s also completely lost entires I put in, making me put them in all over again, and somehow when I put in a DIY oil change it changed it to the last place I took it to (who only looked it over and didn’t do the oil change).

Not for Motorcycles. Does not show manufacturer maintenance recommendations as advertised even though it recognized my Vin number as 2021 FLTRSX. That’s why I downloaded it. Cannot create custom maintenance entries and the standard entries do not include motorcycle basic maintenance tasks like changing primary oil or changing engine oil only (not filter change) or chain/belt tasks. Deleted. 3 stars because it’s a good app and we’ll developed - especially for a no cost app. But it should not be included in app searches for motorcycle maintenance logs.

Great for the forgetful!. I like the Subaru dealership near me. There. I said it. They provide friendly, reliable service without being pushy. One of the ways they do this is through this app. The mechanic uploads the work that was done with each visit. The app calculates when routine service is needed and notifies me. This is a terrific app for those who love their vehicles well-maintained (mechanically, at least) and have an organization problem.

Saved us having to pay for replacement battery. I have nothing but positive things to say about myCARFAX app. Today it helped me save having to pay for a car battery because the local national car dealer couldn’t find a service record. The app gave me the location, date, and item replaced so I could provide it to the dealer. Check it out. It’s free.

Ok App. I like using this app. Just wish since you are adding fuel ⛽️ to you car all the time, that the fuel efficiency part was near the top. It’s a pain to have to search for it EVERY time you put gas in your tank. All the other stuff you don’t have to deal with for 3-6 months if not longer. Wish you could change the order items appear. Those changes would make this app totally AWESOME.

Excellent. Excellent for keeping me up to date with my records, services, registration, brakes etc. if I go to a dealership, Walmart or other shops that report to carfax your oil change will be automatically updated and if you feel like doing your own oil change then you can update the oil change your self. Easy to use, multiple car monitoring and more. Love it.

Makes Maintenance Easy. Does what it needs to, gives you maintenance reminders as well as a way to track invoice receipts and previous service records. A nice plus is they have service schedules for the vehicles both the regular and severe service schedules. I definitely would follow the severe schedule but it’s still nice to have both.

Perfect app. I wanted a way to keep track of everything for my car and this does it all. It even allows you to upload 4x receipts (which sometimes I use to upload pictures of parts for future reference). It’s an all-around useful tool with alerts to make sure you stay on top of oil changes and whatnot. Would highly recommend!

Beware. This is a great app to keep track of your cars maintenance. Unfortunately My CarFax isn't really a free app. I'm not sure what triggered it but I got locked out of the app and the company is refusing to let me get access to MY data unless I upgrade to some other unspecified app for an unspecified amount of money. Even a kidnapper tells you what they want for a ransom, but not My CarFax. I'm going back to the old fashioned method of paper receipts and calendars while I try to regain control of MY data. Update: customer service claims that they can't get the data. They are incapable of executing a select * from on their systems. Apparently the data is located in the hotel California: once entered into the system it can't be selected out.

Great for maintenance with one MAJOR flaw.... When logged in, the dashboard is great for everything car maintenance. I get to see everything I need and the reminders are also great. Since the update though, there is ONE MAJOR FLAW - I can't log into the app anymore. I keep getting an error saying my request to sign in has failed. Without this, I can't see anything for my maintenance. It's incredibly frustrating and didn't have a problem beforehand.

Account not verified error. My account has been verified several times for the past couple months. I am not able to view my service on this app. However, if I go online to the official Carfax website, I can view everything no problem there is something either wrong with this app or my account but it is frustrating not being able to use it something needs to be fixed, and also seems like no records are showing up anymore. This used to be a great app till recently.
