Better than ScanBot. I tried both within the past year on iPhone and uninstalled ScanBot. If FineScanner can maintain this level of functionality and the current level of subscription, freemium, ads at whatever they may be right now, it shall remain on my phone.

ABBYY used to be the best, but sadly, no more. The quality of the picture scans has become abysmal on both this app and the pro version. It’s one thing to have functions change (ocr now limited to 100 pgs), but now the pictures are often so terrible that large portions may be blurred or blotchy (the more glossy the original the worse it is). It is really upsetting how bad it is - one would do better using the HDR feature in the native camera app and then importing it into the app. Really really frustrating

Functionality. I don’t find that application technology is all that functional or life changing very often, but I can honestly say that since a friend introduced me to ABBYY FineScanner, I would not be as effective without it. It saves me time from having to sit at a laptop or digital sender in order to submit critical documents. It is the single most used application on my phone when I have to quickly scan and submit documents for any reason. Well done!

The best ever. Absolutely amazing app all in one stop you can scan documents rename them save them email everything works perfectly you can also sign in edit PDF documents converted and list goes on and on I am so glad I got it it works for everything and so worth the money,Keep everything organized and labeled tagged easy to find easy to use just big thank you

Simple to use, lots of features. This is one of those apps that is drop dead simple to use. It has lots of options for saving and sending. It's my go to app for saving documents of any sort. Love the option of a large or small PDF.

It used to work great. Update- the reply from the company was useless, providing the instructions to cancel my subscription. Thank you, I did that already. Will you return my money? I already paid for the annual use, but now it’s not letting me use it unless I upgrade to premium (1 more $) I’m already paying but can scan a single page? Also, at some point last year scans started to be blurry and the auto paper stopped working well.. :( disappointing...

Really handy; really reliable. I’ve been using this for several years. It makes things pretty easy sometimes: for signing documents, etc. works well. No one has ever balked at the quality of the doc, and it only takes me a few seconds to click and email.

Perfect!. I was in a jam this morning and needed a good OCR app quickly, so I checked the PC Magazine review and this was the best rated app on there. I downloaded the app, scanned my document and it converted what was only an image into Word format for me in seconds. This saved me a ton of time I would have had to otherwise spend typing the document manually and also “saved my bacon!” I will definitely buy the “Pro” version. All apps should work this well, this seamlessly and this easily.

Efficient and productive. Very efficient and productive way to instantly scan documents, share or send ... Must have! By far one of the greatest tools available for quick, precise scanning, documenting and sharing. Extremely user friendly.

Love! Love! Love!. I’ve been using this App for over 10 years! It’s great!!! Scan and save anything! Email as a pdf or jpg immediately. Edit easily! It’s wonderful! I use it DAILY! And it’s been very handy when I’ve needed to pull up something from archives in the middle of a meeting many times!

Nag screen. Any app that I’ve paid for should not have a nag screen asking me for reviews. I’ve given my review, and this horribly needy app keeps demanding a review. I would recommend to anyone else to do the same for any app that they have paid for. If the app is free, then it is reasonable to expect a nag screen, but not after you paid for it. For every nag screen that pops up when I open this app, I’ll keep leaving a one star review.

Fantastic-Everyday Use. Today I scanned my document to store in iCloud. With a touch of a button ( open up your camera on an iPhone) take a picture, crop the picture to your desired results and now your document is stored in a safe place and can be sent from a smart phone either by email or text message given your choices in regards to what device you have.

Awesome program!!!. So convenient to create pdf documents whenever needed. It really came in handy for turning in school assignments during the recent pandemic shutdown. I love that you can create documents that contain multiple pages. The scan function on my printer doesn’t even do that!

No way to edit after first scan. It’s quite good. I would pay the premium subscription if it weren’t lacking a critical feature. After your first time scanning a page, there is no way to return to the image editor, to apply a different filter or recrop or anything. I can understand it not retaining the ability to edit the original photo capture, but why can I not edit after saving? I shouldn’t have to rescan to edit a page.

Not great quality, especially for the price. I started using the free version and it seemed to do ok. But then I bought the paid version and the quality has somehow been reduced. Instead of a crisp clean scan that I would expect for so much money, it looks like a Xerox from the ‘80s. . . . The even more frustrating part is that a little later I discovered that Microsoft has their own version of this product that works 100 times better, gives more export options, and...wait for it...is completely free! Don’t waste your money on the paid version. Get Microsoft’s Office Lens.

Glad my coworker recommended this app. I am very pleased with this app and it came highly recommended from a coworker. (I have also downloaded the business card scanner). I have recommended this app to other people and also so convenient not to need to use a scanner. I can create and email PDF files no matter where I am, even in the middle of the desert. + 1 !! I like the new features that have been added as well, especially annotating.

Excellent in most ways. Really a nice app, so I'm willing to put up with some quirks. One of them: since it snaps pix automatically, there are some misses. You can't delete these from a doc until after you've saved it, which is not intuitive. On the other hand, the advantages of auto scans far outweigh the disadvantages. I use FineScanner to upload scans to Dropbox, which works great. The scans are excellent quality and you can tweak color, quality, and contrast. I don't know how FineScanner compares with other scanner apps because it has always done what I needed it to do and done it well, so I haven't felt the need to look elsewhere.

good but occassionally data/scans are corrupted. I use finescanner for my dissertation archival work. I recommend the app but would add the important proviso that when uploading large numbers of documents make sure that the files go through! I have had corrupted pages in scans, while I had to restore a backup of the files when old scans were not loading on my iPhone. So take precautions when using for intensive scanning!

Terrible update. I’ve happily used this app for years without issue. I’m now deleting it for good after the recent update. You can no longer scan books or magazines without lots of sizing and quality issues. I believe this is done intentionally to coerce you to buy their premium subscription, which conveniently (for them) solves this new issue. The screen is now plastered with Buy Premium banners as well, which is just tacky.

Auto capture not working properly. When scanning pages with the auto capture function it scans the same page multiple times. The support solution is to turn the auto capture function off. How about fixing the auto capture feature or remove it.

Can't figure it w/o $60. Cannot figure this app out. Looks like all I can do is scan in some demo mode and then if I want to OCR it I get an ad to pay $8/mo or $30/yr or $60 lifetime. Update: re-read description, this mainly only scans to B/W images and can make a PDF. Pretty cool to do on a phone, I was looking for their OCR app, for $60 I am not going to use OCR that much since most of their results need hand correction anyways.

Not good at curved books. I am hoping to scan books, but the compensation for open pages is straight lines, not curved. So I have to flatten the books rather than letting them curl open. This stresses the spines. I did wonder why my scans were black and white, but this was a setting I was able to change later, although not intuitively. It think this should be a setting under Settings.

Super Sneaky. As a long time user and have purchased the app sometime ago, usage is now limited to a set number of pages, as if it’s a free trial, and is trying to force signing up fir a subscription. After years of having the app, it’s being deleted. While this was one of the few that did scanning and OCR early on, there are so many scanners and text converters now, where you get full functionality and no subscription fees. I’ll never trust buying anyhing outright from ABBYY.

Use good light and square up to the image. And you will get almost flawless OCR!! I use finereader (iPhone) and the full Mac version regularly as my research involves computational text analysis (big data), pulling from 100s of old texts that have yet to be digitized. I have been using finereader for a year and half and have found it far more accurate than the current version of Acrobat Pro and experience with older versions of omnipage.

Not free. I gave this 2 instead of 1 star only because while it was really neat to see how this works, and it seems to do it as well as advertised, that’s all you get for free. This is probably a great app but I’ll never know because I never got an opportunity to properly try it before I was locked out in true bait and switch fashion. One is lead to believe that the user is limited to scanning/storing 5 pages at a time. In truth you get 5 attempts to scan and item and that’s it. I first fumbled with my phone while trying to hold a book open long enough to take a decent photo. Then by the time I figured out which type of text to convert it to, after a bit of trial-and-error, I discovered I had used up my 5 tries and felt like a total sucker. You can play then you have to pay. So enjoy those 5 minutes.

Reduced to a subpar advertising ad with nags. This latest version is a dumbed down piece of junk, slipped together with its only intent to make you PAY for the earlier ease of use I came to applaud. Stay away. Do NOT upgrade to this version. A slap in the face to us by crass consumerism, this only leads me to believe the company was purchased by someone else who saw an opportunity to stick their grubby hands in our wallets. *********. UPDATE *********. April 30, 2019 There has been a greatly improved release that, so far, eclipses the earlier release and shows great promise of flexibility for the user. Kudos to the developer and team for an app worthy of my Top Ten Best.

Used to be a 5 Star App now just use Apple Notes. This used to be my scan app. I have used it for years. I scanned everything. I used the free version, it displayed ads, no problem. Then it updated and it only allowed 10 scans total. Not 10 each document, but 10 pages total. I have documents that I scanned over 10 pages that are now gone forever. It was nice while it lasted, I would buy the app, but they want to subscribe monthly or yearly or whatever. Good thing iPhone now allows you to scan documents via the “Notes”. Open notes and use camera and it has “Scan Notes”. It will make a file on your iPhone for free. The FineScanner app is irrelevant. Sad, I liked it and it was very useful, but a 10 page limit has ruined the app.

Awesome App. This app makes working in sales much more convenient. We have to work with a lot of different contracts that unfortunately need to be printed in rescanned and being able to do it on the fly is key. Highly recommend this app in frequently recommended to physicians to make their lives easier.

Easy to use and effective. This app makes it easy to scan and export docs, email them, save them to Drive. I love it. You can adjust borders, send in different formats. It saves a library of scanned docs so I can look back to find a doc if I too cleverly filed it where I can’t find it. Great app!

Only for black and white books. Good for b&w books. Horrible when the book or magazine has text in color. Probably because it is optimazied only for b&w. I do not understand why the developer limited the app in this way. Very slow because it sends your copy to the servers for analysis. Privacy concern. They maintain a copy of your scan in the servers. Why? There is no choice to stop this once you bought the App. There is only a few apps like this, none of them are good enough, probably this is the most acceptable app, but from my point of view, it is still far far away of being acceptable. I only use it when I have no other choice. And why is it constantly asking for ratings? Update: I regrets to buy this app. I messed up a whole 10 pages ocr recognition.

Well worth the upgrade price!. I'm familiar with ABBYY FineReader on the Mac, so I knew I had to give this app a try. My two biggest gripes with iPhone OCR is poor recognition and the inability to run OCR on more than one page at a time. This app eliminates both drawbacks! Recognition is slow and has to be sent out to the server (so make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection) but it gives near 100% accuracy! Instead of scanning one page, then doing OCR, then scanning the next page, running OCR, etc., you can scan all pages and then run OCR on all of them at the same time. Yay!!!

Disappointed. Trying to downsize but this app has issues. Shows “processing” for days same document and the only way to stop it is to delete the document. Also I have set up my mail but it continuously asks me to set up my mail when I try to email to myself. Hope there is a way to fix this! Also, if I try to scan a document while the “processing” wheel is spinning, the app closes. I was forced to delete a document I no longer have a hard copy of.

Too much. If you want a simple scanner this is not for you. It tries to get you to upgrade constantly and has all kinds of features I don’t need. Maybe for some people but not for me. At the very end of my simple insurance card scans they show a thumbnail of the documents and the word - recognize. What? Do I recognize my own documents? Yes. I tapped it ... it looked like it was going to re-format the document. So I didn’t recognize it! Now. Did it go through? How long do I have to spend sending a four page insurance card to the person billing me. I reduce the stars to one!

Best scanner for mobile professionals. Many times I will be working with a PDF file, but I want to make many edits to it in word, such as find and replace. I open my PDF file in the FoxIt PDF app, or any app, then click the export icon, and then select ABBYY. Right now I am subscribing at $9.99 per year. This is also great for downloading PDFs and then having them text recognized. There is a limit to 100 pages of cloud recognition. If they could change that to 1,000 pages, I would appreciate it.

Works well for my needs. I do fairly simple scans, the last one was only one page. I’m giving it 5 stars because it recognizes the borders of the page and removes everything around the page and does so with minimal effort on my part.

Expensive for the lack of efficiency. If all you’re looking for is the ability to occasionally scan a PDF/file/image to attach to an email, this works great. However, if you’re using it everyday for something like scanning receipts, there are too many steps to go through for each receipt. Each receipt requires that you scan, crop, name, upload for OCR (which asks to choose the language every time, then wait while the document uploads), then when the OCR is done, save it to my iCloud account (which has multiple screens to jump through to find the iCloud Drive). It’s too time consuming for me. If it was $8 a year, I might not complain, but I won’t renew my subscription unless they offer a way to make these manual steps automatic each time I scan a new receipt.

1 year sub signup; 1 week in.... So far so good, support replies are good if you have an issue. My take is it’s good on an iPad Pro, book scan feature a little slow; need to scan in small batches, sometimes it doesn’t recognize optimally despite lightning adequately etc. Basically scanning books and getting the pages flattened perfectly is an imperfect thing today. But it tries really hard, and it rivals a $20 scanner so can’t complain. There’s some UI scrolling improvements needed here. Also need a feature to re-crop after processing.

Book Scan Gone. I have used this product for over 5 years. It was a lifesaver through grad school for scanning textbooks into ebooks for use with a text-to-speech. Now they take the book scan feature away. Why?! It now takes twice as long to scan a book. I have been a paying customer for years. Now you have lost me to Adobe Scan. Why would you bother to remove such a critical feature?

Great Find. I’ve tried several photo/scanner apps. This is the best free app I’ve used. It does have unintrusive adds that appear at the bottom of the screen. It also offers in app purchase/upgrade to include optional OCR (optical character recognition) which works great but I’ve honestly only used a couple times in a pinch. I do recommend this app.

ABSOLUTE NECESSITY!!. This app has everything you need all one.. They listen as well, if something is not working correctly, let them know, boom it is fixed. Think the app is lacking extras, let them know, boom it's there..! Couldn't ask for better app creators that actually care!!

FineScanner. I love this app! I’ve used it for several years and recommend it to my friends. I go through old court files and files at the State Archives. Instead of ordering expensive photocopies, I just take a photo with FineScanner and let it OCR all of the pages. It saves me a lot time and it does a great job!

Replaced my traditional scanner. This app makes documents easy to scan and send. I no longer need to connect my scanner to my computer, which takes time and planning. Now if I need to scan something I just grab my phone. Very quick and easy to use. I tell everyone about this app.

Just works and is my go-to scanner. I got this app some time ago, but hadn't used it for a while, thinking I would at some point use it again. Well, I can tell you for sure, this app just works as it's intended, and is simple and straightforward to use. Do some of the features cost a bit? Yeah. However, they are QUITE useful. If you are like me and have a BUNCH of things to get digitized, use this app. You won't be disappointed. Update - 2 Nov 2016 I bought a new iPhone 7 Plus a couple of days ago, and with the dual 12 MP cameras, this app is even more invaluable. Update - 16 Jul 2018 I’ve used this for a number of years now, and it’s still my go-to scanner / digitizer. As of this review update, I’ve scanned / digitized 603 items that I can find. The prices for each feature weren’t terribly expensive. Simply put, this is THE best iOS scanner I’ve used. However, I’ve switched my rating from five to four stars because there needs to be a better way to digitize larger items (like poster size), and I feel the quality of the images captured could be improved. Everything else is spot-on.

Terrible Frustrating UI. The crop screen is poorly designed; it’s too easy to double tap and reset the cropping guide. Furthermore, accidentally tapping “apply to all” will ruin all your previous work (deleting 300 pages worth of manual cropping is NOT fun). The “edit” interface is even worse. Try selecting pages to rearrange the order; it’s a disaster with inconsistent and unexpected behavior that will basically ruin all the work you put into scanning a book. This happened to me on two different book scans (the second time being extra careful). Terrible terrible UI design. Shameful. Bottom line: this app was designed by some low paid devs who don’t care about the quality of their work. I will be cancelling payment and looking elsewhere. I would advise you do the same.

Great. Very powerful well engineered app 10 ⭐️ Comment: Is it possible to add the option in cloud services instead of sending to dropbox , to send automatically to network shared path on PC or server directly using same internet connection across.

Always works, helpful when away from office. I use this app only 3-4 times a year but it’s always at the beach, horse riding events or somewhere where I shouldn’t be doing work but I am. It’s simple to use but able to do complex task, intuitive and it works. Enough said. Worth the small investment for the paid version.

Everything I wanted and more!. This app is an indispensable tool for anyone who wants to preserve their writing. I’ve been using this scanner for about a year now and it has made my life so much easier. I do a lot of journaling and I have tons of handwritten notes that I feared would get destroyed and this app has allowed me to preserve all of it by scanning it into a digital copy and emailing it to myself as a PDF. It’s easy and I’ve never had a single issue with it. It’s worth every cent. It puts my mind at ease by knowing that even if my hard copies get ruined, all my hard work is still backed up on my computer. Highly recommended!

Great App!. It’s auto capture feature made it super fast and easy to scan 20 + docs in about a minute or less compared to the other app where I had to align the page and take the picture myself and it’s free sample amount to scan was higher than any other app before asking me to purchase! I would and probably will pay for the full version since it was so wonderfully easy! I love it! Great first impression!

Worth it. As a university student, I have access to many books. However, once I graduate, I won't enjoy such access anymore. I downloaded this app as a way to keep those books without having to purchase them in the future, as they can be extremely expensive. Although $60 may seem hefty for an app, it is much cheaper than paying hundreds of dollars for a few books. Edit: I've had the app for a few years and I still use it. Highly recommend.

AMAZING!. This is by far the best scanning app I’ve ever used since I’ve had a smart device and used a scanning app. I’ve tried almost all of them and not one comes even close to this app. The absolute best on the market and worth every penny!

So easy. Very easy to use. Great for scanning on the go.

Forces review before being able to trial app. Forces review before being able to trial app

Easy to use. I am really happy with the scanner because a) I had a chance to try two pages to see if it worked and did the things I wanted before I paid, and b) I can eventually get documents into the Pages App that I use on my laptop. Thank you for making my life so much easier now as I have hundreds of pages of a type written diary to put into a digital format.

I can’t access what I have paid for . It won’t work and I can’t reach anyone for help.. As

Peter. Excellent app, easy to use

Very good scanner and happy price. Good use and smart app

So simple it seemed too good too be true. So simple to use... once emailed I couldn’t believe it was that easy...

Perfect scanner!. I love this amazing app!

Great tool. Love it! Helps me with personal and work documents when I’m stuck

Fantastic OCR!. PROS: - The best OCR software I’ve ever used, next to Microsoft’s OneNote. - Highly accurate; very rarely do I have to proofread and make my own corrections, like fixing I’s mistaken for 1’s. - The other best feature is the user friendly, and clean, UI. Very simple to navigate, ease of use, practical. No clutter or distracting menus/buttons. - Workhorse; I haven’t imported or scanned a large number of pages, maybe 15 at most, but so far have not found it struggling to process these files. - The ability to rename scanned files and choose a wide selection of importing/saving to different apps like Pages, DOX, RTF, TXT, e-mail, PDF, & more. CONS: - No multitasking. I find it keeps crashing if I switch to another app, and so I have to start OCR recognition or scan the pages again.

This app is a keeper. Does what it says and very intuitive, unlike other apps which fail when it comes to document saving and management. Easy to use and very user friendly.

New to this App - cropping frustration.. I am new to this app - still trying to solve its quirks ! It appears that there are a few. On snapping my image, which was an A4 sized form filled in, I found the app cropped the page automatically each time. Very frustrating trying to work out how to undo automatic cropping. Usually to crop or to edit is a feature you would select. Eventually got it right, eventually. Whew !

Very versatile. Great quality scans. Easy to export

Easily one of the best. This app has been very helpful as a scanner to complete rental applications on the fly. That alone has saved the bacon a few times.

Nothing works!. Crashes. Doesn’t send to iCloud. Recognition not working

Exactly what I needed. Good product, well done to developers

Very good little scanner. Dose everything I need

Too easy. I was just messing about trying to get my home printer to connect with my laptop when I thought, “hang on, don’t I have an app for this?”

Great app.. No limitations like other scanner apps and able to do what I need it to

Perfect. To be honest this is the best scanning application I have used up until now. Perfect and easy!

Quick and efficient. Easier to use and quicker than others I have used

Can't fault it. Works very well and loving the iCloud feature

👍🥳🤩. Fricken amazing 100% would recommend

Needs word support. Add Microsoft word support. It’s a rip off otherwise. Much cheaper apps doing it.......

It works!. Simple and easy.

Great to use. Easy to apply with good resolution. Great product and well worth having

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Perfect. So easy to used

Amazing. Every time of use this app it’s always been on. And I love it hundred percent

Really good. Great!

Great app. Clear and hustle free

Fantastic. The best.

Impressed. A very intuitive and efficient ap. it has proved to be a must have in my frequently used applications

Review. Poor results from the iPhone

Useful. Good

Very happy. Great scanner works well

Great app. Saved me buying a new doc scanner. Excellent for receipts, bank docs etc when no access to office devices. Very easy and intuitive. Thanks.

One of my favourite apps. Easy to use with reasonable quality scans from my iPhone.

Scan app. Awesome app

Recent issues. Great app works smoothly until the last update... now frequently can’t recognise scanned pages. Please fix this bug!

Doesn't work at all - problem now fixed. My review said “All i have is a black screen. Any other attempts merely bring messages to pay money for something else. “ Since then, that issue seems to have been fixed. It now works well and inportantly it will crop scans to desired dimensions.I am happy with it.

Can’t open any file on iPad. This cannot open any file on iPad, only a photo. There is no ‘open file’ option within the app and the app is not an option to open any file using the ‘share’ function. The directions in the FAQ for opening files on iPad are completely incorrect and bizarre.

Overpriced and slow support. Overpriced and slow support

Was a good app. It was a good app but now you have to pay like a professional scanner

Disappointing. This app had so much potential, the auto scanning of pages is fast and gave good first impressions. Unfortunately the file management and editing abilities let this app down completely almost rendering it unusable. Firstly, you can not insert pages or move pages around once you’ve saved a scan. Secondly, you can not run the word detection on a file with more than 100 pages. Disappointing. I will be cancelling my subscription.

Awesome. Just got this app. Straight up converted 3 pages of printed Excel into usable spreadshee Remarkably accurate. Saved me heaps of time.

Excellent. Excellent. I’m not a big user and only have the free version but if I did have more use of it I certainly would purchase the full version

Great PDF creator. Love this app! Converts all my documents into PDF and stores them. Very versatile.

Please add auto convert to searchable pdf. I’ve been using the subscription Pro version for the last 2 years. This is a well polished scanning app with OCR feature to make your scanned document searchable. Please add a way to automate the following steps with a single click: 1. Auto add prefix to a scanned document 2. Auto convert to PDF/A 3. Then auto save to cloud/send to email Because of the app’s requirement to upload doc to Abby’s server first to make it searchable, the current flow cannot be made automated using current settings.

Crashes. Crashes out a lot and I lose entire photographed pages

Excellence all around. A life saver many a time. Kudos to the developers and leadership team

Nice app. Nice app, easy to use with my iPhone

Great scanning app. Great scanning app, good edge detection and for multiple page documents.

Eh. Not much to it.

A practical scanner. I have it for many years. Very good and reliable.

Fine scanner. Great time saver

Good App. Convert photos into PDF in a seconds. Very good application.

Good. Nice to save all to pdf

Don’t buy. I cancelled the service because I didn’t like it and they have charged me for a year anyways .

Love this app. Best app I use saves me lots of time!

Scanner. Great scanner. Easy to use

Meh. Needs work

Easy to Use. Accurate. Very pleased.

Félix. Il faut payer je ne peux pas envoyer mes copies à mes profs

Great. Great

Best OCR app I’ve used to date. OCR is not a perfect science, but I think that this app is about as good as it gets for most purposes. Very pleased with the accuracy, even on substandard originals. UPDATE: since updating to iOS and iPadOS 13, handoff of mail docs to FineScanner seems to be broken. I’m disappointed that this was not addressed proactively or quickly. I

Review. You said the app is free and then I can’t use beachside you are forcing me to buy premium. Thank you I don’t need it

Used to be free. Bait and switch. Get used to using the app for document scanning and then they slap an enormous subscription fee on the app after several years.

Was good before. Now I keep getting a notification that “the server cannot recognize this file”.

Multi-page documents OCR and translate. We should also be able to upload multi-page documents such as PDF, doc, txt to the application and perform OCR and translation. Then it's worth its $79 price.

Great App. Dependable easy to use! Copies transmit like a fax! Have used it for years

Problème courriel. Impossible d’envoyer les scan par courriel

Cool. It is pretty handy from time to time but for work it doesn’t meet the criteria that a normal scanner would. It is still great juste not as I was expecting it

Good tool. I really recommend

One of the best, but a little expensive. After looking at many, many options, I like FineScanner very much. Accurate, full featured and easy to use. Although I’ve tried the app I ended up buying a different one because of the subscription cost for this one. Still, this is worth a look. This developer makes very good apps and, if you plan on using it a lot, it may be worth the cost to you.

Wonderful App. I just wish there would be an option to create folders. The app is absolutely amazing otherwise!

Trafficteam. Thanks

Scanner. Quick and easy to use when h yuh ou are on the go.

FineScanner !!. Ticky Boo !!

Good. Everything is working, I rate it 9/10

Celineto93. Super

Best App for Scan Papers. I have been using this App since I went to school in 2013. This is the best one which can be use in reliable and stable ever!

FineReader review. Very GOOD

New to Abby. Extremely poor introductory documentation foe someone new to Abby...and even harder to find out where to go to get started.... I paid for unlimited access and am totally frustrated Jdv1

Great quality. Easy to use and the documents look great.

Great app. Its a best app.

extremely efficient and intuitive. I’m old school and I still write by hand. Scanning afterwords using FineScanner is intuitive, easy and quick.

Nanadody. Très bonne App

Excellent product. Excellent product

Scanner. This app is grate for sending paper documents

Great app. Great app

Removed auto book split function. Not great for scanning books now that they removed the function. I will cancel my premium sub now.

Scanner. Great free scanner for your phone.

Love. Love

Dont. Dont pay for it

App consistently crashes. The app works incredibly well as a scanner and they’ve improved their document border recognition. The problem I have is that the app consistently crashes before taking a scan. In an attempt to scan 12 pages, the app crashed 20+ times. Update: I’m bumping the review up to three stars. The app still crashes because I’m using a specific kind of paper that it doesn’t support. The support team was very responsive (hence the upgrade to three stars). I’ll update the review again once something changes.

This works. I have tried others, ran into glitches but not with this App. It’s very intuitive.

First shot -> instant success!. The tested OCR was a complex computer code string on a computer screen and it just worked perfectly (except for some percentages chars recognized as individual chars but that is totally acceptable as it saved me 20 minutes of work!). Cheers to the team.

Good. Easy to use.

Edge detection broken on iPhone X.... Four things wrong with this app. 1. On the iPhone X the edge detection simply doesn't work. I tried scanning a check on my desk but this app doesn't detect the edges. For some reason the rectangle of the edge detection is much larger. It seems to think there's a regular printer sized paper it's lookin at. 2. The scanner is zoomed way in so I have to stand from my desk in order to fit it inside the box. 3. You can't define a specific folder on Dropbox. For example, I always save my receipt scans to a specific folder. You CAN'T do this with this app. It only allows you to link to your Dropbox account where it creates an “Abby FineScanner” folder and that's where it saves all scans. 4. Expensive. Especially given the above shortcomings.

Now I have to pay for it??. This used to be my go to app for the longest time ever but last night it randomly said I have zero documents and I need to pay. Im not happy. Going elsewhere now.

Amazing. I occasionally need to scan documents. This works great! Legible enough for 8.5x11 docs. I'm discarding my flat bed scanner. Portable, fast, easy. Get it. This is the pro forma review, but pretty much covers it. Much faster than flat bed, yet same quality of paper docs.

Perfection. Been using this app for a very long time and it has NEVER disappointed me. Clean, highly functional and professional. Don’t leave home without it!

Great product. This has been one of best things I have ever purchased. It is great for getting items turned into a PDF so you email to others.

Worthless. Why did I just download an advertisement. Doesn't appear to be FREE. UPDATE: Got an update from Apple saying sometimes they give discounts. The app was listed as FREE. it was simply an advertisement for the app. A multi-page scroll through ad... you think any page will be the app. In my opinion a waste of time. The "friendly" update and offer to update my comment, a greater waste of time.

Subscription based. 4 pages in the trial.. I really dislike the “As a Service” model that everyone is going to these days. This is actually a really good app, but the fact they want $6/mo or $21/yr or $30 for a lifetime is kinda hard to wrap my head around. I know people gotta eat. But make it a $10 app and it would be a no-brainer. This would smoke every other scanner app in the App Store.

Need auto paper size. I really like this app. It does so many things right. One thing it lacks is automatic paper- scan sizing. It will get 5 stars when it does this. This last update is moving toward that. Previous versions would have been 3 stars had I rated it.

Easy to Use. Been happy with it over the last few years.

Fax feature. To add a fax feature would make this app even better. To be able to scan a document then fax it would be good.

Solid APP!. I have been using this APP for over a year and have a large collection of important docs and receipts as well as special moments/certificates pictures from the kids - it’s a great app and worth purchasing!!

Best scanner app. I've tried virtually every scanner app out there, and I can say that find scanner is by far the best and easiest to use. I keep trying others just to see what’s out there and none ever compares as to features or ease of use.

Life got better. What took hours to scan and print for my high school band now takes less than an hour. Seriously

Genealogy Scans. I have used this Fine Scan for Family Records that I wanted to Save and Upload to Family Search for Ancestry and Love the Quality and Clarity. Book Scanner mode for Family Genealogy Is great

Great for what I need it for!. And that's to take a pic of a document and email/message it as a .pdf It's fast and easy and I may have got it for free one day as a special offer so I don't know what it costs or if there's a subscription fee or whatnot but the app seems great to me! iPhone 6S

FineScanner the “Best & Most Affordable!”. When I need to send Important Documents via my iPhone, for Best Quality & Affordability, I use FineScanner to improve my Document Files before sending them to my Business Contacts.

Review. Good appSeems to be pretty good app where the invoices turn out looking decent or anything I scan looks good I just have one problem and that is that I cannot text message a copy of the invoice to my customer

It works just like they say it does. Awesome!. This app just works like it’s supposed to. Sees the document boundaries and cleans it up. One less thing I have to think about.

"Not Recognized". Not sure what happened, but I tried three separate images and each time the file came bace as "Not Recognized". The "free" app allows you to scan 5 documents for free before you have to upgrade to Premium, which is not really a problem. Except that the "Not Recognized" documents count against your 5 free documents. Perhaps there is a learning curve for this app, but I'm not going to pay for it until I can see whether it works.

Can you add an fax option. Some financial industries still expect documents to be either mailed or faxed. If you could provide a fax feature, I am happy to pay u per fax for the amount of a stamp. Please...

clcurtis204. This excellent app has been a lifesaver for me. It is easy to use and accommodates my hands shaking due to my disability. I don't even have to push the camera button with the iPhone 6. FineScanner does it for me. Thank you so much!

Functional and accurate.. Love this scanner app, so far. I don’t use it regularly but came in extremely handy when on medical leave and had to submit medical forms. Totally recommend.

This is a really cool scrapbooking tool. So far this has been a really good app to scan images and send to my online scrapbook. The cropping tool is really easy to use and recognition features are phenomenal.

Expensive but works well. It’s expensive to get all the features but works well and had good intergration with other services (iCloud, Dropbox, google drive, etc...).

Would be Very useful if you could change email. But would be nice to be able to set which email program it will use to send via email.

Where do files go?. Can’t figure out where in my Dropbox it puts the files. Didn’t let me choose nor change destination folder. It says removing watermarks is a paid feature, so maybe I don’t care anyway. Genius Scan is not as good at recognizing edges BUT doesn’t have these issues, so I guess I’m sticking with that.

Great, but not enough to pay for. This has been my go-to scanning app for years. I would've tolerated advertisements in a heartbeat. I will not, however, pay $60 (or $6/mo) for the grand privilege of scanning more than 4 pages. There are other options.

Field tickets made easy. Wow, is all I can say. I can. With this app I can take a picture auto crop convert to pdf and creat folder and email in my field tickets weekly in less than 5 minutes now. Took a couple hours before. Flawlessly

My scanned file has gone away. Hi I really like this app but today I was really embarassed by what happed to me. I scanned almost 1,000 pages and was well cropped. When I reached out almost final stage, the app has gone frozen and the file disappeared. Nowhere I could find that file. Could you help me fine it?

Best and quickest. I Tried 5 different scanners and this won on quality and ease of use hands down just point and it does the rest with no keystoning perfect every time !

Thank You. I have enjoyed using this product/app on my smartphone. It has prevented much wasted time in traveling to the office or the library to scan documents.

One of the best ways to scan you documents. And it completely works without subscription!

Very Useful. In amazes me although I don’t to the whole out of business, or legal stuff how often I need to get a copy of a piece of paper that I have. This is a great thing to always have with me and I found it very useful

Comes through in the clutch. This is my go to app for sending important docs to anyone. It is quick from the phone and the images are top notch.

Scan App = Genius !. Not like your ordinary scanner apps, this app allows you to capture pictures of multiple pages back to back and compiled in one PDF. This app is a life saver for on-the-go workers like myself. No need to lug my printer from state to state, as long as I have this app in my pocket 🤗😇

Scan perfect!. Best document scanner in market ! So easy to use, and email immediately. Thank you. Could not do many tasks without this!

Easy to use. At work, we use a printer to scan a bunch of documents, usually not real clear. This app is easy to use, quick to save, and all images are crystal clear

Pay wall. I own a scanner, but if I’m only scanning a few pages this app has been to be my go-to for years. I’ve loved it. But after this update the scanner becomes locked behind a paywall after scanning a few pages. As another reviewer has said, iOS’s Notes app allows you to scan pages. I just checked it out and it works fine. It even has some limited OCR.

Excellent in what it does. Had this program on my computer for more than 15 years. Never let me down. Very easy to use. Highly recommended.

Convenient and FoolProof. I am always sending off documents from my mobile, this app makes the process very quick and easy to complete!

Broken after last update. the images appear normal in the thumbnail after capture but magnify to a very small area when attempting to edit. when in the edit screen, the corner adjustments will not respond. I had to turn off auto crop and close the app 4 times before I could properly edit an image.

Outstanding for copying books. I’ve used FineScanner iMac for years. PDF document scan is a superb app. Does exactly what it says it will do. Split scans of two pages. Excellent PDF creation.

Simple and Fast!. This app is so nice to have. Not having to scan or use a landline is a blessing! Everyone is clear and easily sent to those who I need to send a copy of documents. Love it!

Best scan to pdf app for iphone. If you want to scan a document using your phone, look no further. I am happily using this app for the past 1 year

Years of use - WORTH IT!. I’ve used this app for business for about 5 years and it has served as my PRIMARY document scanner. It is such good quality AND so easy to navigate it makes scanning hardware seem primitive. BIG FAN!

Christian Mauro. Every document I scan comes out perfect to send to my client. It looks so much more professional than taking a picture and sending it on.

Not worth the money anymore. This used to be an amazing app that was well worth the asking price. Since the most recent update, this app has crashed several times while I try to scan and edit multiple pages. When I reopen the app, I find that none of the pages that I scanned and edited are there. That means I have to start all over again. I have done this five times now. What used to be a five star app, it’s now barely worth one star.

Wanted to rate higher but 2 big problems stopped me. Can’t edit once saved, and difficult to use when scanning long documents because you have to swipe through every page to check if the crop was correct.

Awesome App. I've used other scanners before, but this one is the greatest. I recommend all the different Abby products. You definitely are not going to go wrong with them.

Skeptical but now no longer. Great app. Was skeptical but use this all the time. Sometimes even better than scanning equipment at the office. The ocr function is really good.
