Makes the Minor Leagues look Bush League. I don’t have the time to bother going through everything wrong with this app update, but here’s some things: • Gameday and Box Scores are not embedded, but are loaded from their respective webpages. • Not only that...EVERY SINGLE BUTTON on the team page just opens an in-app web browser. Roster, schedule, team news, tickets, everything. • Gameday and Box Scores are not available from the scoreboard page at all (???), only if you save a team page. • If a game is rained out, the box score shows that the game is final and the game summary shows placeholders (e.g.: Runs: RR; Hits: HH; Errors:EE). • Viewing any stats screen shows exactly one stat at a time. • Most of the interface screens are filled with abnormally huge buttons or ridiculous amounts of white space, which is awful UI on a small screen. • Still does not contain information for the AZL, GCL or DSL. This app wasn’t great before, it was still just a 2-star app. Now 1-star is too high. Congratulations on making the minor leagues look downright bush league.

Incredibly bad interface. Extremely kludgy user interface. Hit double A or single A and you still see triple A games. Does not save any info and you have to manually enter ID and password, and you are back on Triple A teams, regardless of what level you enter. Subtitles will suddenly appear and try to shut them off without killing the feed. The ”recommended” setting is “automatic” for subtitles; why? Who knows? And they periodically start again, even when you shut them off. Why are only the home announcers available? Why not the away announcers too, considering that most people watching are likely visiting team fans? Minor league hockey seems to be able to handle it. The MiLB app appears to have been thrown together and never had a serious upgrade to fix problems. Very sloppy.

Great app!. Love the milb app! Great resource. I do have an idea to try and improve though, if possible. When I'm looking though a box score, I know I'd love to see which players are listed on their team's top 30 per MLB pipeline. I'm thinking next to their name they could have the number (e.g. Moncada, #1). Alternatively, maybe just putting their name in bold font or all caps to highlight that they are on the top 30 and then when you click on the players name it would show their overall and organizational ranking. I know most of the guys in my favorite team's top 30 but I rarely know the opponents' top guys. Again, just a thought. Love the app overall!

Awesome App. I absolutely love this app and use it all the time. The only problem I have is that when I am on the Trenton Thunder page (favorite team page) the articles are just headlines. I looked at a bunch of other team’s pages and this problem seems to only be on the Thunder. Do they not have anyone writing articles or is it just a bug? Other than this I absolutely love MiLB and this app and I’d even be happy to write for the Thunder myself!😂(but i’m 13 so i don’t know if I could do that)

Do Something!!. The majority of the reviews here offer suggestions and/or complaints telling you exactly what is wrong with your app. Some of the complaints/suggestions have been the same for years but you do nothing to respond or make fixes. My main complaint is having to re-log on to this paid for app every day to watch games. This same complaint is here many many times but you do absolutely nothing for your paid customers. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Please fire whoever is in charge and find a professional that cares.

I would give It less than 1 star if I could. This app has gone downhill. I have the app and pay monthly to watch games because my boyfriend is on a Minor league team. Video is horrible, I can’t ever actually watch the game. It constantly freezes, skips, stops all together. I’ve tried using this app on different devices and WiFi and It still doesn’t work. Not only that but I tried contacting customer service where all they did to help was tell me to delete the app and redownload It. Thank you but that was the first solution I had and that did not work. Now GameDay isn’t even working. The new 2019 version of the app is overall horrible. Thank God TuneIn still works or I would have zero way of staying in tune to how my boyfriend is doing since I cannot be there. This is by far the MOST FRUSTRATING app ever.

Updated app is terrible.. I have been paying to watch the minor league games using this app for 5 years now. The changes that have been made are terrible. The schedule is no longer in a calendar view which makes it difficult to look at. The upcoming games no longer list the anticipated starting pitchers it only lists TBD. Initially thought the video could only be viewed using WIFI but now after trying to get into today’s game using WIFi I wasn’t able to access at all. Sent email logs but no response. I would recommend not paying for the video access because it is a waste of money if you think you are going to have access to the hundreds of games the advertise, you are not.

Used to be good, now it just stinks. 1)If a game was previously suspended you do not see the current game on the schedule you see that game and you have to scroll to the left just to find the current game. 2)You do not automatically stay logged in permanently, you have to keep logging in every few days just to be able to watch the games if you have the “TV” game watching subscription service. 3)With no season in 2020 you would think they would have worked on getting the ability to watch this on Apple TV so you can watch on a regular tv instead of mobile device, which still is not available. They had an entire year to improve the app but instead it has gotten worse.

What have you done?. This used to be an useful app for me regarding my favorite minor league teams. Easily able to keep up with their schedules with a few clicks and who was getting called up. I don’t know what individual made you change the app into a cheapen version of the website but they are not the brightest individual around. I don’t care about food at a minor league park that is 20 hours away from me. I don’t care about most other team highlights, I want to see the teams that I care about. It’s clear the app has sucked for years with a path forward before this update but now, the app has been set back years. All for a new logo

No screen rotation. After 2 weeks of getting error messages when trying to watch a live game, I finally deleted and reinstalled the app. That took care of being able to watch the games, but now when I’m watching on my iPad the video only plays in portrait mode and there is no way to allow correction to rotate the video to match the orientation of the iPad. In face the whole app is stuck in portrait configuration. Makes it tough to watch a game that way. If this isn’t addressed I will likely request a refund due to the small viewing area.

Thanks for nothing!. Your free live streaming audio feature is useless! Cuts out after 2 minutes. Takes another 2 minutes to get back to team selection page to start audio again. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! whoever designed this app did not make it "user friendly" to say the least. . I was considering a subscription so I could watch the games BUT the fact that the audio feature is so bad I will not risk subscribing to the video broadcasts. Just think of the money you must be losing as I doubt I'm the only customer who feels this way. p.s. A nice addition to this app would be a glossary of baseball abbreviations

Needs some love. The app is great when it works. As of the start of the 2023 season, I can’t AirPlay to my tv to watch, even after being a paying customer. I also can’t get the screen to rotate to full screen on my iPad after confirming that auto rotate is not locked in settings. These both had no issues in 2022. Please show some love to the MiLB and address some of these issues.

Lacks features, difficult to navigate. Another year, another garbage iteration of the milb app. Nothing has changed. Can’t view a teams full schedule or past scores, have to look through day by day scoreboard for league or team. None of the players names are linked, so if you tap on a player name their stats or bio/profile don’t show up. Again see no support for complex/summer leagues. If you do go to the daily scoreboard and click on a box, there’s no way to return to the daily scoreboard. You have to navigate to a new tab, return to scoreboard, and start your search all over again. Year after year one of the worst apps I have to use on a regular basis. I’d gladly pay for a “pro” version of this if they mirrored the big league app. But this thing is trash.

What happened?. Why did you feel the need to “fix” this app. It worked perfectly well for the last 3 years. This new update has ruined The Who milb experience on my smart phone. We no longer can see a teams schedule by the month. That makes it hard to get a visual for where they will be and plan accordingly. Why do we now need to be redirected to a website when choosing to see the box score? Why doesn’t it go to the most current game happening when you choose your team. I have to scroll to today’s game for some reason. Why when i pick to watch do I have to constantly pick double A. It keeps returning to triple every time. Also why do we have to keep signing back in every single day. Get it together. Who ever redesigned this app needs to understand what it is like to be a fan of the milb. This app is complete crap and I want it back the way it was. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it!

Growth of the game?. I have never reviewed an app before but went through the trouble of posting this to share my disappointment in removing box scores from the app. It is no secret that baseball is struggling to maintain its appeal especially with younger fans. Instead of adding functionality, they have removed key elements I suppose in an attempt to force fans to pay for the paid package. Between this and the recently released memo cracking down on the publication of video I question whether this is a sport that wants to retain this once avid fan or in fact any of its fans. Please MLB and MiLB please take your cues from the NBA and embrace the social experience that is being a fan. I hope this latest update is just a stepping stone to an update with greater functionality that hasn’t been released but if anyone reads these please consider adding back box scores. Until then my usage will be 0.

Ugh. They took a decent app and made it exponentially worse. Who thought the new design was a good idea? Do they not do any user testing at all? I design websites and apps for a living and so I can’t stand poor design. And this app is Exhibit A for poor design. Why didn’t they just duplicate the MLB At Bat app design? That would be ideal. But at the very least, bring back the old design (which was very similar to MLB anyway) and we will pretend this travesty never happened. There is one aspect of the new design I like: the ability to see the scores from all of a MLB team’s affiliates at the once. That’s pretty cool. Keep that feature, but redo everything else.

I wish this was like it used to be.. I had this app for about 2 years and I didn’t use it much at first. But our baseball team where we live is only about 25 minutes from our house. And it’s easy to go to games and this app “used “ to be very helpful. I have been having trouble even logging into and seeing seats availability and tickets and player stats and so on... now it will not even come up for me. I hate not seeing player stats and stuff like that bc some of our former players went to go on to the Majors for the Texas Rangers. It’s a shame that this app used to be so good now I don’t even use it. Bc there is really no point in it. Please change it back.

Subscribed to MiLB in iPhone subscription. Looks like I’m not the only one having issues. I’m logged in and went to the iPhone subscriptions, and paid for MiLB in iPhone subscription. It won’t let me play. Say I don’t have permissions to view this Content despite paying for the subscription. What a horrible experience. You think MLB would be able to get a Phone app right!! UPDATE: MLB is the developer. They should adapt the MLB app to work for MiLB. I canceled the MiLB subscription and subscription to the MLB subscription which works with MiLB. 🤯 This is a half baked application.

Some improvements, some back steps. They did fix the bug about not being able to see the standing and scores for other leagues. They have also made it to where you can close the app, and still be able to listen to audio. However, I have some more ideas. I would like it if you could minimize the listening tab to make it smaller while still being able to listen, so you can use other parts of the app. I also was not able to find a way to see the elimination number in the standings. I know it’s early in the second half, but I hope that is around at the end of the second half.

What In The World?. I’ve never felt passionately enough about any app to write a detailed review, but this most recent update has me so confused that I felt obligated on the small chance it may spurn a change. What were you thinking? Seriously, who approved this? You took one of the best sports apps out there - easy to use, convenient, gave all the relevant information quickly, probably the second best box score app in my opinion - and turned it into a glorified web browser. Why? Did you need more clicks on your mobile site or something? I seriously don’t understand it. It’s..awful. I used the old app every day, and now I will struggle to use this once a week but only because I have no other options. It’s that bad. And to top it all off, you waited until after the season started to send the update! It doesn’t look better, it doesn’t function better, and your webpages take forever to load even on 100mb WiFi. Pay the players, then pay for a better app support leadership team.

Individual game stats. An update this year took away the ability to review a player’s individual game stats when you go to his page. You only get the summary stats for the season. On a team’s page, only the upcoming home games are listed. You have to search for the away games elsewhere. Most parents of the players are not in the town where their sons play. One can no longer search for a player within the app. Must go to actual website.

Terrible. Like others have said this used to be a good app. Now, not so much. Beware, if a team you're following has it's game suspended, that suspended game will be the game that's stuck on their home page. You will need to swipe to get to the current game. It doesn't matter if it's a couple games ago or twenty games ago, however many games ago is how many swipes to get to current game. I even deleted the app, reinstalled then picked teams, but still no change. Avoid. Just use your pc/laptop to get your team(s) info.

Useless on iPad. No PiP on iPhone. Won’t stay logged in.. This app is terrible and the live game video is absolutely not worth paying for. Why would you not enable PiP? Why must I provide my login credentials every single day I want to watch a game? Every data-viewing function just pulls up an in-app web browser and I can do that myself. How is this app so terrible compared to the MLB app, especially now that MLB commandeered the entire Minor League system? Get your crap together and provide an app and service worthy of the fee you’re charging. update: they haven’t fixed a single thing. Imagine having to watch video in portrait mode on an iPad with no picture-in-picture option.

Could be great…but not until it fixes the issues. My biggest gripe is looking at box scores. As a fantasy baseball player I look at minor leaguers I own and scout others daily, if you click on any box score you are unable to navigate out of it and return to either the previous page, the home page, or any other screen outside of any links involving the affiliate who’s box score you opened. The only way is to completely close the app and reopen new. This is both tiresome and tedious. It needs to be fixed, I don’t recall having this issue in past seasons so I am hoping it is addressed shortly.

Very Disappointed. I have been a user of the MiLB app for over 3 years and I have never been this disappointed. Feeds can’t be played on iPhone X unless you are connected to WiFi and you can no longer access box scores. This has been a major disappointment and all actual functionality of this app has been lost. The “improvements” for this app have been anything but and the navigation for this app is virtually non existent. This update has been a total flop and to say a disappointment is an understatement. The developers should be ashamed of themselves for assuming this would be an improvement. Update: This app slightly improved but is once again dysfunctional. Whomever hired these developers needs to be fired.

Worst app experience. This is probably the worst app experience I’ve ever dealt with. The app closes itself in the middle of games, causing you to miss things. The app also randomly just doesn’t load; you’ll go to open it but it’ll just sit there not responding. For a while I was also running in circles trying to login, and every time I logged in it would ask me to login again. On top of the app not working, the customer service is not responsive. I’ve had this app for years and I’m still waiting to hear back from messages I sent years ago.

As of now, a scam. Aside from the fact that this app has been mostly garbage since it’s redesign in 2019 (it used to operate exactly like the MLB At Bat app, which was great, but now everything within the app is just a link to different webpages that pull up via a browser in the app), it is now a total scam for people paying $40/yr for access to video. The buttons to watch archived games are broken in the app, so you can’t watch any of the games. So now they’re taking our money without giving us anything for it. So, a scam.

2019 version extremely disappointing. Last hear was great. Perfect way to catch practically any minor league game across the country. “improvements” for 2019 have significantly reduced the product’s value. Glitches are numerous and we are only one game in so who knows how else I will be disappointed in games to come: screen does not rotate. Games appear as unavailable in game listing once started but actually are if you ignore the text. While watching a game, we no long per have easy access to instant stats, other scores, line ups, with an easy swipe. Pregame coverage is gone. Even the customer service form isn’t functional. Still not sure how to access archived games from yesterday because navigation is screwed up. Not sure why, knowing this version obviously didn't work, MILB didn't just switch back to the 2018 version. I cant recommend it presently, not at $50.

Alerts disabled by resetting all settings. This is a common bug in apps. Resetting all iPhone settings disables all alerts. Some apps recover by asking to send alerts when you open them, some never try again and require the app to be deleted and installed again. This is one of the latter, requiring a full app delete to get alerts back. Please fix Also please share data with Apple so scores appear on Apple TV alerts and in the Apple sports app.

New Update is Trash. 2023 was probably the best the App has ever been and now this year they decided to go in the opposite direction. How am I supposed to keep track of my favorite minor league teams? Why is there no option to follow them like I can in the MLB app? Why is it all of sudden that when I want to look at my local team’s schedule I have to go through every minor league teams schedule? Go back to the team centric format like it was last year or I might as well just use the website.

Peng17✝️. When using the “Select by MLB Affiliate” option, I will click one MLB team and look at their affiliates then, I’ll go back and click on another team to look at their affiliates, but the MLB team and its affiliates is not the MLB team I clicked on. I.e. I click on the Diamondbacks and see their minor league teams then will go back and click on the Braves and it will come up with like the Rays team and its affiliates...

This is an amazing super terrific item. This can of beans is the greatest little ovals I have ever tasted in my life. I’ve been critizized by friends and family for my love of these can of beans. I play games with them. I sleep with them, and only eat them when they make me mad. Please buy this but DO NOT EAT!!!!!! Oh crap wrong item

Used to be great. I used to use this app every day to check all sorts of games and stats, HOWEVER, they’ve made an update this year in 2019 in which the app is utterly and completely useless. The way to view schedules are garbage, you can’t view them by game, finding player stats and info is very difficult now, and overall this app is complete trash. If they want people to continue using it they better revert back to the old ways, because this is an absolute joke for an app in 2019. Update: The reviews about how much everyone hates the changes to this app continue to pour in, yet there is no effort of any change on MiLB’s part. This is a pathetic excuse for an app compared to what was our last year and before. I continue to only use a computer to check minor league stats and standings as the way the app is designed is so utterly poor it is unusable. Revert back to the old changes or continue to lose attention from fans you desperately need.

Needs to be held to a higher standard. I haven’t been able to get on this app since last week Thursday. I pay a subscription fee for this app the last few years to watch my son play in the Minors, and sometimes there is no feed or the app doesn’t work. This app needs to be held to a higher standard just like your MLB app. Stop treating this like a step child. I haven’t been able to get on this app since last week, and couldn’t watch my son last Friday on this app pitching his last outing of the season. Every time I click on the app, it blanks out & disappears. At this point, you should be giving me some kind of credit. I would send you an email, but last time I sent one, you never responded.

Works great as of 2022. I can’t honestly compare the app to previous versions but I can say that from my experience the app works very well. I remember reading previous reviews where certain aspects of the app were difficult to get to, but now it seems as though most of the things that you want to do are at your fingertips. The use of schedule banners and drop downs seem to be more logical. There are good similarities to the MLB app as well. As far as I’m concerned I think they listen to all of the previous complaints and address them.

Log in issues. I use this app quite often. My son n law is a player and spends time between MLB and Milb. When he is in AAA I watch his games by streaming through this app. My issue is not the app itself but with logging in. When I watch the MLB app I can log in one time and it stays logged in. I NEVER have to log in again unless I sign out of the app. The Milb app is frustrating because every time you close the app whether you log out or not you have to sign back into the app again if you want to watch a game. Please fix this issue!!!! You should never have to log back into this app ever unless you physically log out.

Landscape mode on iPad. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews for this app. I don’t think it’s as bad as they sound, but also, a lot of those reviews are from 3-4 years ago. There are things that can be tweaked for sure. Maybe model the app a little closer to the MLB app itself. But my main complaint is that there is no landscape mode on iPad. This is annoying when you are trying to simply navigate the app (get scores, standings, news, etc.), but it makes the app almost completely unusable to watch games on an iPad. Landscape video works fine on iPhone, so where is it on iPad?

What happened??. I have had this app on auto renew for over two years, no problems. Now I have a current subscription, and can’t get on to watch any streaming games as it says I’m not authorized. Support for this app is ZERO. I have contacted MLB account, after three different calls and emails they tell me Apple issue. Support from Apple was at least helpful to tell me yes you have a current account but it’s an app developer issue. Contact them- nothing. Unsubscribing and disappointed as I now have no way to watch any minor league games. Boo.

A step down from the previous version. In the previous version your favorite teams were listed at the top of the scores page. The fact that you removed that feature makes this app harder to use. I have to scroll down possibly to the bottom of the scores page to see the score of my favorite team. Also there is no capability to view a box score from the scoreboard screen? This app is practically useless for keeping up with individual players. Terrible update. Please revert or fix

We all make mistakes. I also once hired my unqualified nephew to redesign my product because my sister and mom guilted me into it. I also thought the half-baked ideas he gleaned from his half semester at community college before dropping out sounded at minimum different than what we were already doing. I also lost revenue and respect as a result of his ineptitude and my own terrible decisions. (Hang on. That's not what happened with this app? Oh.) Well, I also worked for a group that provided an efficient and satisfactory service, which meant they really didn't need much from me. This made me frightened they might begin to see me as dead weight as there was little reason for me to work on something that already functioned so well. In order to justify my position with the company, I needed to implement a complete overhaul of the product to make it so unbearable they would need to keep me on staff for eternity to undo all of the problems my "improvements" created. Problems such as paying customers bailing like rats on a ship. (That's the one. Feels good. Feels right.) At least 75% of the streams no one will ever get to see via the app are theoretically in HD now. Y'know, 15 years after HD became standard. Maybe if I delete and download the app an eighth time it will work. Maybe? It might be working ... nope, it was just gas.

Not Functional, Support Non-Existent. I downloaded the app and subscribed to MiLBTV to watch Durham Bulls away games. I have an iPhone 6s and Apple TV. I wanted to stream games via Airplay from my phone to Apple TV. Games work perfectly fine while playing on my iPhone, but the moment I switch to Airplay, it no longer works and I get a blank screen. I tried a random, pre-recorded, highlight video on the app and used Airplay. It worked with no problems. I contacted the supposed customer support team regarding the issue and have yet to receive a response. Beyond that, the Standings page flickers/jumps every time and doesn’t include all of the information that the team sites do and it send a notification when a game is delayed due to weather.

Well at least it doesn’t crash anymore - now fix the rest. Thank you for fixing the crash for “some” (I’m betting most if not all) so at least it runs. I think others have put it plainly - please go and put it back the way it was - your current layout and functionality leaves a LOT to be desired. I too miss the monthly schedule, can you at least bring that back? And why do companies think that changing an app is a good idea, if it’s not broke and it’s not a requested feature, don’t change it!

It’s a strikeout!!!!!!. This app is terrible!! I have used the old app for 7yrs during the MILB season, but the 2019 version is useless. 1) Looks terrible, can’t see who the starting pitchers are for the day with out clicking on the “+”, should be like (MLB app style). 2) Not able to immediately see the box score, lineups, pitch count, HR, double plays, etc. The only way to get to the box score is what seems like a link to the milb desktop site. Clicking on 4 pages to see a lineup is not fun. 3) Can’t click on players pics or names and see stats, old version and MLB version can be done very quickly and easily. 4) Have not found a way to save teams, and I don’t want to select the Level, League every time I try to use the app. 5) Fix all of this by using old interface or make exactly like MLB app. Not one person I have talked to about this app thinks it is good. Everyone says “ I wish they would go back to the old app.....” Contact me I can help.

New Version TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!. Just deleted the old app so I could renew milbtv. They have ruined this app. You cant easily search other games. You cant find a complete stat sheet without putting in your data in a dropdown window. But worst of all, it is only formatted for an iphone. If you use this app on an ipad, forget it. You can only view it in portrait mode. No landscape mode and app wont allow youur screen to flip to landscape. Please fix this to make this app more like it was in the past. You also cant look at a normal box score of another game while viewing unless in gameday mode. Brutal!!!!!!

New user, very disappointed. I’m new to following MiLB games closely, because my home town, Amarillo, just got a team. I was excited in the offseason when I found out there was an app supposedly similar to MLB atbat for minor league games. When they FINALLY updated it and added the Sod Poodles the day before the season, however, it became nothing like the At-Bat and basically useless. Everything you could want to look at (Box Scores, Highlights, Audio from the games) just takes you in a pop up window and loads it on the MiLB site. If I wanted to do that, I’d just pull up the site myself. Plus, I turned on the notifications for the Sod Poodles and haven’t gotten a single one. I’ve had better luck turning on Twitter notifications from the team and listening to games in the TuneIn radio app. A refreshed version of last year’s app seems like it would be a lot better. Not sure why this route was chosen.

Buggy, bad app. What outsourcing company made this app? It doesn’t remember your login. It’s unintuitive. If you select Double A to view their games, it will switch back to triple A when you leave the screen, but won’t change the header, so you’ll see a bunch of triple A games under the double A header. You have to remember to tap again to get the real schedule. Even when you subscribe you’ll have janky ads all over the app. You can’t set a reminder for game starts, and you have no idea if a game will actually be viewable or not. Audio feeds are done by iHeart. So if the game isn’t broadcasted on video, you basically pay $40 for free iHeart radio with commercials. Did I mention paid subscribers still get janky ads all over the app itself?? We’ll yeah. No thanks. Terrible experience. Also, the iHeart radio stream cuts out once the app goes in the background!!! Literally useless for radio.

Used to love this app, now it’s useless.. I’ve used this app for years to keep up with my (now) husband, and I’ve always loved it. It used to mirror the MLB At Bat app, which was great. Now it’s like they were too lazy to handle the upkeep the app requires. You can’t watch Gameday or see boxscores in the app anymore, they just send you to the website (within the app, but still). Because of this, any notifications you have turned on are useless. No notifications for when games are starting, lead changes, pitching changes, etc., which for many of us is a huge reason we use the app. This update is supposed to be more “user friendly.” It’s not. It’s garbage. None/10 would recommend, and I would definitely not recommend paying for a monthly or annual subscription for the app until they revert to the previous format.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!. The app was so much better last season. Everything is too big and messy now. I simply want to see a similar version of the MLB app like we’ve always had before, but now it’s like we’ve got a view of the MiLB website. Edit- Reduced to one star because I’m also not getting the notifications now after triple checking in both the app and phone settings that they’re turned on. Same thing happened last season. Scores automatically reset to AAA when my one and only saved team is A+. I urge the creators to go back to the way it was!!

Great interface, awful performance. This ONCE was a great app for followers of MILB. The functionality has diminished tremendously. In other words: used to be really good now it’s not! Access to box scores is clunky. The audio access has issues and won’t play in the background. It works with iOS 12 and has rendered many devices inoperable with this app. MLBatbat is amazing and this was a pleasant supplement for junkies of the game. I get frustrated listening to baseball... which is unfathomable. I’d go one star but there is a lot of content to account for and it is free. ****Not ONE 5 star rating in the last year. That would be worrisome to me!

The 2019 Version Is Terrible. I hardly ever write app reviews, but I cannot believe how this app has been ruined by “improvements” for this year. This app was great last year, but now it is just awful. Last year it was very similar to the MLB app, which is very convenient to use. Now, everything you click on takes you to a webpage. This is not a great idea for a sport that’s trying to keep as many fans interested as possible, especially for the minor leagues. Please bring last year’s version of the app back it was significantly better.

Why mess with a good thing?. I rarely write reviews but I have been moved to do so by the sheer awfulness of the recent big update - which was optimistically identified as an improvement. I’m not sure where to begin with how terrible the app now is. It used to be great, with Gameday, boxscores and all other useful information built inside the app in a logical well structured way. But now it basically acts as a set of links to the milb.com website. Except it is poorly organised and not as easy to navigate so now I just go straight to the site. It is totally redundant and I just can’t get my head around why you would make such changes to what was previously one of the most user-friendly apps I used.

Broken. Paid for subscription and still can’t watch. I want my money back. Do not subscribe!

How do I get my money back?. Subscribed through the app, it’s charged my card but won’t let me watch any games?? Total rip-off! How do I get my money back?

Just awful. There was nothing wrong with the 2018 app, I’m not sure what the need was to change it, but it’s now terrible. Viewing from Australia, just getting the right date on the app to check scores is a chore, and while you can select a fav team, you have to scroll through the whole league after leaving the app, just to get a box score.

Just does not work. I’m not one to really write reviews but this app just is a mess. It says my login details are incorrect and won’t let me login even though the same details work on the website (trust me I’ve tried many many times). A lot of the buttons on the app seem unresponsive when you tap them. Additionally, one annoying thing is that when you’re looking at the scoreboard it has the city team name (e.g. Charlotte v Durham) but the on the list of games to watch it only has nicknames (knights vs bulls)- so as someone new to Milb and looking to explore it’s hard to follow who’s who. I hope you can fix these issues and I can change my rating

Atrocious 2019 interface update, just terrible!. Last year app was intuitive and enjoyable to use. The 2019 “update” is a disaster. I hate it. Right off the top, it won’t rotate to landscape view. Extremely annoying and convoluted process to follow multiple teams within an organization. What the hell is someone thinking releasing this albatross.

Great!. This app is the best! I can follow all the yankees minor league teams and you have endless access to stats! Thank you so much! I love it!

Please fix. The previous version of this app was much better then this current version. In the old version you could check the box score during the game. Now you can’t.

Not too bad. Nice working app. I wish I could add multiple favorite teams through AAA and AA. Wish they could add other leagues as well and player searches.

Not broken, but fixed. This is BRUTAL. used to be an excellent site and easy to navigate. Not any more. Don’t know how it navigates now because it crashes every time I try to open. Please get this fixed before play begins.

Leave well enough alone. Why did you mess around with this app? It was so much easier to navigate in years past. I am only getting updates (notifications) from one of my selected favourite teams. I am getting notifications for all of Toronto Blue Jays minor league teams even though I have selected Boston’s minor league teams. I am from Canada so the app must think I am a Blue Jays fan (not). It was much easier to use this app when it was using the MLB template. Please leave well enough alone. Very hard to get boxscores.

No landscape mode. How is this very basic feature missing from a video streaming app? I can’t even charge my iPad at the same time because it only works in one orientation with the cord plugged in at the bottom.

No landscape mode for iPad. This is a video streaming app, yet it does not support landscape viewing on iPad. It does on the iPhone so this isn’t such a hard feature to implement. Just really mind boggling.

Unusable in 2019. I’m not getting any value from my MiLB subscription this year because this app is so bad for iPad. The app redirects most things to external websites. It makes me re-enter my subscription info each time I select a game to watch. The app navigates in portrait view only. It requires tons of scrolling to ‘possibly’ find what you’re seeking. Even finding scores and stats is difficult. It couldn’t get worse, but at this point who cares? It’s already unusable. I’d give this app a zero star rating if I could.

Worst Professional Sports App that exists.. This app is designed terribly and has awful lag times. Why can’t I just open a box score? Why do I have to sit and wait for game day to open for a game that ended yesterday. Not to mention I’m lucky if the game day even loads properly. Last season this app was A+, now I’m deleting it and will just open box scores on my phones browser. Garbage!

Is this a joke?. I purchased a year subscription now. Downloaded the app. It won’t even open??

BS 2019. Just want Blue Jays teams but get teams I don’t want. Go back to last years.

Baaaad. Last year was really good, this year it is awful!!! Never wants to load and using tune in radio sucks as well!! So much for following minor league baseball!!

Please update the app. This app needs to be updated to reflect the correct team names and MLB affiliates. ie. Las Vegas 51’s are now the Aviators.

just bad. i was gonna sign up for the subscription but everytime I watch a video clip in news in freezes as it shows an ad. Also app isn’t usable in horizontal mode which is really poor design. should get some professionals on this.

Used to be better. Bad to see that very minimal work is being put into this app, especially for the team-by-team features. It’s very basic, in fact so basic that your experience will sure be better on the web mobile desktop version (where you get prompted to when trying to access players carrer stats). Still helps you to quickly access live play features like Gameday, MILB TV and Radio but won’t take it any further. It’s too basic for an app brought by mlb.com company as just too basic for an app in general.

Terrible streaming. Locks up and replays logo sponsee screen over and over.

Quick and easy to get started!. Picked my favourite team and had a live box score in no time!

Please fix!. More often than not I can’t open the app, and when I do My favourite teams aren’t loaded, nor does the audio work. Could be so great, but it’s useless.

Still not fixed??. I should be able to get to a player’s bio/stats when I click on their name from the box score. I should be able to scroll through past box scores from the top of the team page. These are things that used to work before last season, but are just gone and not coming back? Yikes

Awful. Used to be a fantastic app Now it's unusable. Ipad version still shows the schedule for last season. The mobile version is hideous and simply sends users out to the website. The website is much less user friendly. Brutal choices on this redesign.

Why no landscape mode? WHY?. This is completely ridiculous and annoying.

Do you listen??. This app is horrible go back to the old format can’t even view box scores!!

New version. The new version does not open, just completely crashes.

Joke. This new app is a joke. No box scores? What are we even doing here. MILB should be embarrassed.

Update is horrible. I’ve used this app for the last 5 baseball seasons. The update this year completed ruined the app. There is absolutely no reason to even use the app. I can’t even get the box score of games anymore! Awful!

Why is this app so bad now?. It worked so well last year, layout is horrible now

So much potential. Discovered this app, and thought it would’ve great as now we can airplay from iPad to AppleTV. But fast forwarding is difficult, and when you awaken the iPad, it just drops. May have to go back to watching it on the computer.

Actually the worst app. So many bugs, it's basically unusable. Waste of money.

iPad version no landscape mode. This app used to work in landscape making it full screen on a TV now it won’t, just gets smaller on TV yet the iPhone version does! Used to give more information ( columns on both sides of catcher’s view) in landscape and that doesn’t work now either! Why would you mess this great product up like that?

Needs update. News is up to date but calendar and some teams are not

Crap. This app is awful, just keeps buffering. Last years was so much better. Tried calling for support, that too was terrible. Go back to last years!!

App crashing. Just updated app. Won’t open.

Ipad support. This is a good app, would like to see an iPad app at some point

Terrible. What an awful version of this app, just go back to last years version. I have to sign in every single time I want to watch, it crashes all the time or freezes. Also why did they make it so difficult to find a box score?

Voiceover issue. Cannot press play button on gameday audio with voiceover enabled, my husband who is blind would very much appreciate it if this could be fixed .. thank you

Horrible UI. Why can’t they just make it the same as the MLB at bat app???!?

Could be better. The app gets the job done. I can find the scores and stats I’m looking for however it’s extremely annoying how it signs me out whenever it wants and I have to get a new password every time. If they could fix that issue it’d be a lot better.

What is this new format???. Missing the old format so much! Nothing is hosted on the app anymore. Schedule, score box, absolutely everything you click on sends you to the MiLB website. Really hope it is temporary until they come up with actual reasons to download the app. This app is absolutely useless for now

Update sucks.. I used to love this app. Now I do not. The update is clumsy and a horrible user experience. Accessing boxscores / Game day is cumbersome and delivered through their site. Just go back to what you had.

Does not work with AirPlay!. I bought the MiLB TV subscription to watch minor league games and AirPlay them to my Apple TV. This functionality no longer works! The in-app option is not there and using AirPlay Mirroring from the home screen just produces a blank/black screen . Do NOT buy this app if you want to use AirPlay to watch on a big screen. Hopefully this is something that is fixed very soon!

Needs lots of work. I bought an MiLB subscription this year but had so many problems with it I will not be getting it again. App kept logging out, there is no MilB app on Roku, Apple TV or any streaming device. Bad layout on the app. Bummer. This is the future of baseball and they can’t even make it usable. I guess they pay minor league players barely anything so if they don’t care about them why would they care about the app.

Great app but.... Generally, it is great app to see minor league games, but it is hard to see player's overall stats. Specifically speaking, i can see part of player's stats. I can only see like hits, average or ERA, I can't see whole stats. It would be better to see it like MLB app. So, the bottom line is, I want you to fix this problem.

Good improvements. The app does finally work the right way now. Only took way too long. The problem now is when you go into a box score there isn’t a way to get out without closing the app & restarting it. This needs to be fixed and then it might be back to the way it was years ago

What happened??. This app used to be exactly like the MLB at bat app. The update for this year unfortunately has completely destroyed the app and has made it useless. This was an app I used to check day in day out to follow minor league prospects. Who’s bright idea was it to remove box scores from every game?! What a shame. I am very upset by this. Please go back to the old set up. It actually looked better too! Who could have possibly thought this was a good idea WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?!

Complaints & Calls Do Nothing. Have called both Apple and MILB/MLB, finger is pointed at App who "will not keep up". I don't think this App should be offered AT ALL, if it will not Airplay to AppleTV. I personally suspect that the great variation of broadcast quality makes Apple TV not want it to be seen on their platform, lest the uninformed might think it the average quality AppleTV provides. I don't care, but I'm not about to watch this on my phone, iPad, or desktop, I want to watch it on a TV sized screen. It worked before, FIX IT. If it can't be fixed, withdraw it from the field.

Push Notifications. After following all the directions, I still cannot set up Push Notifications. I have allowed notifications in my main settings on my iPhone but there isn’t an option to set them up on the app itself.

Needs to be fixed. With no minor league ball in 2020, I had not used the app in some time. Fired it up, all my settings were still there, but that’s about it. The scheduling only gives you the most basic info. The audio streaming works great, until your screen turns off, then the audio stops until you unlock the device again. I didn’t dig much further into the app, just read the torrent of negative reviews. Very disappointing.

Changed Layout. Not sure when the app was changed. But now you don’t have the box score as accessible for your favorite team Homepage. Instead you have to click “Gameday” and it takes you to what looks like an internet browser and you have to access the box score through there. I liked the old layout where you could access the box score directly on the team’s homepage during a game. Change it back!!!

Cancelling Subscription is impossible. My boyfriend used to play in the minors, so I got the app to watch him. I’ve been trying to cancel this service for over a year now and have followed the instructions provided in the app and CANNOT get them to cancel the service. I’m charged every month and have followed all instructions... multiple times. They make it impossible to cancel. Next step is reporting the app to my bank and filing a fraud claim.

App needs to be redone. This is the worst app. To open up a game you have to select game day which is so small and not clear on where to push. They should probably make it look more like a button. When you need to change you password it doesn’t tell you your account information so if you can’t remember it at the time it’s a huge pain. When you have to change games it’s also very annoying to bounce back and forth. I have selected my 2 teams.... don’t show me the others, it’s not helpful. Please re-do this app

Notifications not working, app not functional. I wish I would revert to last year’s app. Last year’s app was just as good as the MLB At Bat app, this year’s is unusable. Push notifications do not work, despite trying to toggle them on and off in an attempt to get it to work. Everything that used to be easy to do in this app (view schedule, listen to the radio, follow along in GameDay) is now harder to do in the app than on the MiLB mobile website.

Not reliable or user-friendly. There is lots of potential here for this app to be something great for minor league baseball fans. But it only seems to function about 70% of the time. Unstable. Unreliable. Mostly disappointing. When it works and you can watch a game it’s great. But moving between teams or trying to read schedules is close to impossible. Very poor design.

Still garbage. This app continues to be trash. It’s only 1 star because you have to select something. They removed the push notifications and score alerts, basically required everything you click on to open in a browser, and took out most of the audio capabilities. The app used to be great a few years ago, but much like most of baseball MLB has ruined this too.

Ugh. It has already been metniond but yeah you can't watch in landscape and there isn't an Apple TV app.. this app seems more like a beta release. Last season (2022) I was able to watch the majors and minor league ball using the MLB Apple TV app - it was great. Why change that? Or at least release an MiLB Apple TV app. Anyway, hoping there's an Apple TV MilB app sometime soon in the 2023 season.

Great!. Love the app! Easy to favorite my local teams affiliates for quick access to stats. The picture is really good considering this is MILB not the big show. I’m rating as 4 stars and IMO is a 5 but need a roku app so I watch on my TV, I don’t want to tie up my phone screen casting. Good job though!!

Effectively Useless. A couple of years ago, they pretty much killed this app by making it an i functional piece of junk. But there was still a modicum of use you could get out of it if you were willing to put up with it. As baseball season starts this year, the app does not even load when opened. The 1% of use this app had has now been rendered useless. If I could give negative stars for this review then I would.

Used to be good.. This app used to be a real enjoyable experience. The TV aspect (the only thing requiring payment) is the only thing that works somewhat ok. The app used to have all players and stats and radio broadcasts as part of the app now it just opens up in web browsers. I also was able to get game start and end notifications and those are also gone. Hopefully the app can return to its past greatness or make it more like MLB at bat

Clueless. I have tried opening this app several times over the past couple of weeks. Most of the time it doesn’t get past the loading screen. When it does its been soooo slow its unusable. I was happy to see an update released today (4/7/22). Unfortunately, the update did address the ‘stuck on loading screen’ issue. What good is an update if the app doesn’t load?

Cannot rotate to landscape.. First let me say that I LOVE to have access to all the minor league games. What prevents me from rating this higher is the inability to watch the game in landscape on the iPad. I want a fuller screen to watch the game. Having it stuck vertically doesn’t make for an easy watch. And I know it isn’t the iPad because it rotates for everything else.

Fine App, some improvements could make it better. I enjoy using the app to keep track of minor league baseball scores, and looking at the box score. What I don’t understand is why it doesn’t have the Arizona Summer League, Gulf Coast League, or Dominican Summer League teams. Incorporating those, plus adding winter league ball would really increase the utility of this app.

New update issues. More than half the time I’m not able to watch a game. There are constant errors trying to watch a game at any level. Also it is extremely annoying to have to log in each time I try and watch a live game. Can’t we have a check box to remember my log in? The old version was far superior to this new update.

HORRIBLE. This app is trash. I pay a yearly subscription to watch my fiancé and friends play minor league baseball. I cannot ever turn a game on and watch it from beginning to end. It will say “failed to play game” as the game still plays in the background, yet I have no choice but to click “ok” and it kicks me off the game. If there’s no “failed to play game message” the feed will just cut itself off 30 seconds into turning it on. This is ridiculous. Make a change.

Poor time to crash. Previously sung the praises of the app despite many poor ratings BUT unstable performance beginning with unusable/crash on the next to last day of regular season and consistently failing during opening round of playoffs earns 2-star rating. Gotta do better at crunch time, will reduce to 1-star (unless zero star measure becomes available) if does not improve before Championship round.

It’s just bad.. Congratulations to whoever made this app for being the only dev team to have created an app that doesn’t play video in landscape mode. Honestly, what were you thinking? Who ever paid you to build this should fire you and find a better development team. And if the client asked you to do this, they should be fired and replaced.

Amazingly buggy, no way to follow favorite teams and players.. Amazingly buggy, no way to follow favorite teams and players. It’s as if this was designed by someone who never even saw a baseball game before. Video is often without audio. Audio cuts in and out unless you set your screen to always on and then the battery use is abysmal. Evey time you open the app if goes back to the original screen and back to triple A no team selected. Frustrating.

Ruined The All. I use to love using this app because it was simply and held all the information that I needed. But now it’s garbage. The app is constantly taking me to new pages for information and you have to download a new app just to listen to any audio. Ridiculous. Also, it isn’t user friendly and the score screen doesn’t allow you to quickly check in on Gameday for anything. You have to go to the team page. PLEASE GO BACK TO HOW THE APP WAS BEFORE.

Unusable. I’ve used the app in prior seasons and it was never great, but the 2019 version makes it completely worthless. There is nothing intuitive about the app. It’s incredibly difficult to find a box score. It’s difficult to find prior day scores. When I try to view the schedule, it only shows the future schedule. The MLB app is the best sports app around, why they didn’t just copy the form, I’ll never know. I’m deleting the app and will try to follow another way.

MIlb. So many things wrong with this application and update, for one you cannot view it on iPad horizontally everything is vertical unless you open it up in a web browser. Every night we open to watch the game we have to re-sign in with our password & user name. Last year the box score and summary were so much easier to access you have to jump through so many hoops to figure out each inning now , Hopefully you can read all the reviews and get it figured out

Shockingly bad app update. I’ve used this app for the past few years and really enjoyed it. Like the MLB app, the interface was nothing special but easy to use and I was thrilled to have the minor league system at my finger tips. I cannot fathom why they changed the app in this way, the user interface and experience are awful. It’s odd to see an app — or anything — take such a drastic step backward. Really disappointing and just absurd, really. Please revert to 2018 interface.

Please fix

MiLB review. Obviously love that we have the capability of viewing MiLB games. Very grateful. However not a fan of this new update. When I go to view the scores around the league I can only see the last play now. Before you were able to see pitch by pitch coverage in the gameday section and see what previous hitters in the lineup did. Now only the last play. Disappointed a little bit.

I work in Minor League Baseball. We run our game day scheduling by the inning. When you are balancing clients, tours and ops by the inning, it’s extremely tough. It used to be very manageable using the MiLB app as it would send you push notifications by the inning. This means if you are in the middle of hunting down season ticket holders for seat visits and are scheduled to be somewhere by the top of the 4th, having your phone buzz and remind you is HUGE. Please fix whatever is causing notifications not to work. All of us that work in the minors seriously depend on that!!!!

Lacks basic features.. If I get more options and features using the actual website than I do using the app, then the app is useless. I go to lots of minor league baseball games and I want to use the app to keep track of the game and the stats. Unfortunately while using the app, I have no ability to click on individual players in order to see their stats. I can do that online, it not in the app.

Update is Awful. I rarely review apps, but this new update is terrible. You have to scroll through game by game to see the schedule. There is no clear calendar view of the entire season. I also still can’t figure out how to get to a box score for previous games. The layout is clean but all the easy to use features of the old version are gone. Please revert back to the old setup until you can make a new version that actually works and is user friendly.

Not even close. Horrible update! Requires around 3x the load time, took away several of the easy viewing features that make the MLB At Bat app so functional, no schedule along the top, doesn’t load in the stadium because of the new features, sends you to the MiLB website for gameday features and has no easy Box Score button, overall a very serious downgrade to the point that the app isn’t worth downloading

No landscape mode? No Picture-in-picture mode?. As far as the content goes, I’d love to give 5 stars. Everything I could want for the MiLB is here. However, on my iPad tablet I can’t watch games in landscape mode? What? This seems completely overlooked. Even the regular MLB app has landscape mode, so what’s going on here? Very confusing and annoying. I’d also like to see pic-in-pic mode, but landscape mode is a must.

So bad. My husband plays baseball and trying to keep up with his games while he’s on the road is something me and my kids want to do but this app is nothing like the MLB one. I’ve paid for the milbtv to watch them and they never work, like ever. I’ve called and nothing seems to change. And it’s not my service or WiFi because that’s all been checked. The app updates are horrible just to check anything. Who ever runs this app needs to re think things and whoever runs the mlb one should help this one out.

What happened???. I hate when something that isn’t broken gets “fixed”. I understand that things need to be updated and optimized...but how does it get worse? First, the app rarely works. Secondly, when It does actually work we are asked to choose our favorite teams. They show up on the main page. But then when you go to overall MILB scores they aren’t at the top of that page. Seems like an obvious thing to have the preferred teams at the top where fans can get all their teams’ results in one place.

Needs work, but serviceable. The app works and it’s usable. Live game áudio can be listened to when the device screen goes off if you can begin audio within the app, the press the Safari link on the bottom right, and it’ll open in browser and continue to play if you out your phone to sleep and back in your pocket.

Completely Arbitrary. Why in the world would this app have any use to anyone if Schedule, Stats, Roster, etc all redirect outside of the app? What’s the point of even having the app? It’s honestly such a shame how the MLB and MILB handle all aspects of the minor leagues, and it only serves to alienate those who care about the depth of their favorite organizations. But who cares? Fixing this light mean the MLB cultivates more invested fans, and we all know how absolutely allergic the MLB is to expanding the sport.

Too many problems. I give up. Setting a favorite team that for reasons I can’t figure out gets changed. I set it back, then go back in and it’s gone. Getting notifications for a team I don’t want. Verified notifications were disabled for the team but still getting them... I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. But still have the same problems... not worth the trouble... worked great last year, but not now... deleted the app, did not reinstall... As they say in baseball... Maybe next year...

I need a huge change. It needs everything on the app so when you are offline you can know what’s going on

Notifications. It is 2022. I’m not sure why you guys would’ve offered notifications and then taking them away from the app that is incredibly silly and makes the app almost useless. Navigation is clunky at best and it’s very hard to use the app. App updates are supposed to make it better, but this place seems to get continuously worse, it’s sad because I have a local team I’d like to follow, but it ain’t even worth the headache of the app

MiLB tech support can’t even figure it out.. iOS app doesn’t call up games, and neither does MacOS using Safari, Chrome, or Foxfire browsers. Any team, all games. App refresh on, reinstall, log in and out, location services on, none of it matters, it doesn’t work. Tech support answers phone, went thru clearing cache, turn iPad and MacBook Pro on/off, etc., no go. It does not work on a known Live and paid account. Note: MLB works fine for me. DO NOT get paid MiLB TV. Feel badly for young players & families going thru this to watch.

2019 version, 2 thumbs down. This version is like a little portal to look at every teams website. It USED to be very similar to the layout and ease of use of the MLB AtBat app. I used to frequently check my favorite team’s score, but now I can’t. Bye bye game day. I was at opening day and wanted to check stats, but nope, just endless links to buy tickets for the game I was already at. MiLB is taking a page from MLB in trying to monetize everything and loose fans at the same time. This app is the worst.

Go back to the ‘18 version.. I am quite disappointed with this new version of the app. Last year’s version was very similar to the MLB At Bat app. It was user friendly, you could view the box score, easily follow your favorite teams or players. But this year’s version doesn’t let you see the box score without several clicks and then if opens the website. It would be much better if they would reinstate the last version.

Login fails. Don’t know what has happened to this app since 2019, but I am unable to log in on my iPad now. I deleted the app and reinstalled it with the latest update. A lot of the rules section still refers to 2019. Video will not play. It lets me set my favorite teams, but that’s about all. The web site works fine on my computer so I know I am using the correct login and password.

Go back to old format, or lose users, and interest in minor league ball.. I am also in the boat of NEVER writing app reviews. Like others have stated, last years version was very easy to use and navigate. This just redirects you to their websites. If this was in fact a move to make people spend more money on more access, bad business mistake. You have made it harder for people to follow their teams out of their market, and plan on attending games. I will not be using this app anymore. Until is goes back, or close to the same. Get a grip!

Needs improvement. Last year this App was great... 5 stars. This year totally different story. I don’t get updates on how the games are going. To see how’s the game going to takes you to the website. I can just go to the website myself and not have the app. To check the schedule you have to go through a few hoops. Last season (2018) it was just as good as the major leagues app. Please fix this....minor league season just started. We need you to fix your app.
