High prices for small paper. Small country, small paper. Great paper. High prices. Sorry too rich for my blood

Rip off: You haveto buy completely separate subscriptions for iPad and iPhone. While Haaretz is informative, they don’t inform you that you will have to buy different subscriptions for different devices. I bought a subscription on my iPhone and it wouldn’t work with my Haaretz iPad app. Then, on top of that they don’t give you a refund when you complain. A rip off.

Cannot log in!. I have had a Haaretz subscription for many years. Thought I would try the app. Right for the start it was clearly not the way to go. Before I got any news I was swamped with ads. (I definitely do not read Haaretz to view ads!) Then I was asked to log in. But when I tried to click that button nothing happens. This app is not a masterpiece of Israeli technology! I’ll be returning to the old fashioned web version. Very disappointed.

Amazing Israeli perspectives, needs iPhone X update. Please update for iPhone X

Netanyahu. I support him so I often find myself at odds with your point of view

Up to date but too many ada. I bought the yearly digital subscription for while I am out of the country. It is constantly updating what's happening in the country. My only down side is the constant ads. Whats the point in spending so much money if its ads that i have to always ex out of. This could use a little work.

Haaretz review. Haaretz often gives the views of opposing sides and critically analyzes policies and practices of the Israeli state and the interplay between Arab and Israeli communities in Palestine. But is covers more than this, it is a deep dive into cultural conflicts and histories, the archeologists and culturalists who use antiquity and colonialism to explore current affairs. One can find honest critiques of governments and politicians that Americans have avoided in a condescending pretend “balance” of news.

Juris Doctor. The so vitriolic philosophy of Haaretz against Israel makes me wonder whether facts reported are accurate and whether the editorial staff is anti Semitic. As a result, I am cancelling my digital English edition of Haaretz. I am now a subscriber to Ydiot Achronot digital English edition. Plus Haaretz has the most difficult and awkward cancellation protocol. I am ending my review with the request that, in fact, my cancellation has been duly noted. M.L. Greb, Esq.

The New York Times and Washington Post of Israel. Great reporting and coverage of all views in Israel, and dedicated to truth.

App broken since redesign. The new app is a nightmare. I paid for the monthly subscription on the iphone but the app never recognizes it. And there is no way to sign in. Then it gets you into an infinite ad loop where you cant get back. I’m deleting and really disappointed that they decided to “fix” what was not broken

A terrific app for news but.... Haaretz is a 5 Star app for information. For some reason the latest version runs so slow when trying to open articles that I’m seriously considering canceling my subscription. I don’t know if the problem is with the latest iPhone OS update or with the latest app version but it’s pretty unusable on my iPhone X now. I’ll try a reinstall again but it looks like I’m killing this subscription to what is fantastic news source.

Critical News Read. Critical perspective on news reporting for an international audience. I read the financial times front to back. Yet, I’m always drawn to the multiple perspectives of this news source. Critical analysis is provided on such a wide array of topics. But, the biggest surprise is the added articles on latest archeological news in the whole area which seems to spring up in every corner. The details on excavation sites has been amazing on the actual artifacts details/history along with current plans and/or modern construction issues. Incredible.

News of Israel. I read your stories to ensure that i have access to the Israeli point of view. Somtimes I think Israel causes its own problems, which we also do in the US. I wish I understood more about the Palestinian right of return, Israel's nuclear program in Dimona (sp?) including nuclear weapons held by Israel, and why Israel is settling the occupied territories that it took in the 1967 war. Interestingly, I have found that there seven Semitic derived languages in use today: Arabic (300m speakers), Amharic (22m speakers), Tigrinya (7m speakers), Hebrew (1.1m speakers), Tigre (1.05m speakers), Aramaic (575k speakers), and Maltese (482,880 speakers).

Wanted a Leftwing Israeli perspective. Everything I get from friends applauds Israel’s every move. Since no nation is perfect, I am now hearing about Israel worts and all. Does not make me love the nation any less.

Interesting reporting, horrible app. Guys! Even when I was a paying customer (subscribed), I kept receiving commercials everywhere - that’s why I stopped the subscription. After all, the hassle from the commercials was more than I could take.

Haaretz review. Too many interruptions during the day

Just deleted your app. Just wanted to let you know how full of crap you are to not mention that your “news” is fully paid in the app description.

Great paper - terrible app. The app is one of the worst apps I’ve ever encountered. It freezes constantly. Feeds up endless ads. And won’t let me sign into my subscription - so I am constantly bombarded with pop-ups prompting me to subscribe. Absolutely terrible! Aren’t Israeli some of the best technologists in the world?? Why can’t you build a better app?

English/Hebrew versions. Might be nice if at least some of the lead articles are the same—the audiences aren’t completely different, are they?

Annoying app. Even with a high subscription, price advertisements are rife. You can not open the app without getting slammed by full screen ad.

It’s great on my iPhone 7. And in general 😎. The self criticism opinions are lame but the reporting is 👌🏽😇.

Intelligent Reporting. Talented writers, well researched articles. Timely reports.

Good articles were not interrupted by advertisementspp.. I bought my subscription to read about events in Israel. To read those articles, I must first get rid of advertising. But the ads do not stop. So I rarely have an easy read, sometimes no read at all. Yet, I need complete news coverage.

Haaretz app review. I have been a subscriber for a long time. Lately I started noticing adds that appeared whenever I read an article. This is a relatively new finding. They are quite bothersome and they should not be sent to subscribers.

Impossible to read. It’s impossible To read even the headlines. Cookies and interruptions to coerce to get a subscription to the newspaper. Very annoying

Such a frustrating UX. The app is so poorly built that I can’t believe it comes from Israeli engineers who are usually the most competent software developers. Even though I am a paid subscribed user, the app constantly asks me to login when clicking on articles. An article catches my eye and then I am blocked from reading it.

Too much hassle with app. By early 2022 this app became very unstable. Articles would load and suddenly disappear. Articles would load and then I would get a pop up saying I need to have a subscription (when I’m already signed in with my subscription.) I enjoyed reading Haaretz, but I canceled my subscription because the app is too unreliable.

Any plan to optimize for iPhone X?. Good interface for the most part and works well but I'd be willing to consider a subscription if it was at least optimised for iPhone X 💁🏻‍♂️

Terrific Source of information on all things Israel...and then some!. The gold standard for good journalism in Israel and beyond. Do I agree with everything that Haaretz prints or advocates for? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Is Haaretz well written, hard hitting and covers the mosaic of Israel and the Diaspora? ABSOLUTELY YES! It is for us, the subscribers, to draw our own conclusions based on what we read and process. Thank you! Samuel Kaplan Charleston, South Carolina

Great Paper. Annoying app. Haaretz is a bold and crucial voice of journalism and free speech, but the app itself has become very annoying. Although I pay (a lot) to subscribe, I have to view an annoying ad covering everything each time I open the app. It’s often hard to figure out how to dismiss the ad. This is a bad way to treat your subscribers.

Netanyahu trial. I find the factual coverage of this trial to date unsatisfactory. As a foreigner (Jewish) very interested in what is going on. I seek current reports on what is happening day-by-day with the occasional analytical article giving broad perspective. I haven’t a clue what has happened on the opening days. Please fix.

App won’t load.. Every time I click on the app it starts to load and then a secondary page pops up as blank and kicks me out of the app. You have no idea how badly I want to get this news from Israel.

Not a good experience. Criticizing israel should be left to its enemies, heaven knows there are enough of them. Help the israeli left to feel properly proud again of the beleaguered miracle in which they live. As for the app, the constant demands for money make it unusable.

News Moh , Ruben. Great source of news

What happened to the iPad app?. Very annoyed that I’m being forced to this app for an update from the iPad app. This one is not optimized for the iPad.

Lo tov. I subscribed to Haaretz, an excellent newspaper, on my iPhone, but that was the only device that it would allow me to log into, not my iPad, nor my iMac, nor my wife’s iPhone through family share. Since I prefer reading on a larger screen than my iPhone, I considered the app unacceptable and unsubscribed.

Breaking news 100x a day. I like my news apps for the breaking news notifications. Haaretz has no way to customize notifications so I get 100s of alerts a day for non-news and opinion articles. Had to delete.

One of the only news outlets that charges a staggering $13 a month. If the expansion of information is important, why charge people such a high fee?

great reporting and app. Much-needed voice of reason. App is a pleasure to use. Please add true full-screen reading and a landscape mode.

Unfortunate Pressure!. I became so fatigued by so many restricted articles, after having been initially assured of “Full Access”, together with constant peddling of the New York Times, that I cancelled my subscription two weeks early. Too bad that good journalism is unable apparently to be patient enough to allow serious customers to make a comfortable evaluation!

Does the job. I love Haaretz so I’m giving it a high rating! It won’t get five stars because the app is simple, filled with annoying ads, and frankly the layout and design is quite sophomoric

Haaretz app. Haaretz is proof that Israel is well ahead of the US in what its newspapers can report. This kind of freedom of speech is rare. Americans cannot be as critical of the US or Israel in US papers as Israelis can be of the US and Israel in newspapers such as Haaretz. It would be nice to be able to log in on something other than my iPhone—and not be assaulted by pop-up advertisements before even getting to the headlines, however.

Content Good, App is TRASH. I like Haaretz but I’m sorry, I paid 150$ for access to this and EVERY DAY the app crashes. It’s basically unusable. If you read your news on your phone, I am sad to say I can not recommend this. I can’t recommend anything else either, because this is the only moderate left leaning publication in Israel. PLEASE FIX THE APP!! If there aren’t any patches soon I will be requesting a refund even though I really want to read the content and support Haaretz.

Haaretz. I enjoying reading the articles but of course I just enjoy reading.

Very good reporting of the region. Sort of the CNN in the traditional print media of Israel.

Excellent writing. Not subscribed yet. Enjoying my free articles. But I am hooked on the timely and fact finding news reported by the authors. Human interest articles are so enlightening. It seems I learn so much about the area. Having friends living just north ofTel Aviv keeps me glued to the content.

The login seems to be fixed. The login button started working again.

Pop up ads seriously interfere with reading. Paid subscriptions to this paper don’t guarantee you can read it. The app is a problem. It is impossible to read an article from start to finish without pop up ads blocking news content.

May God Bless Our Ancestors. I’m So Happy To Find Out More About My Ancestors, But At The Same Time I’m kind Of Sad Of What They’ve Went Through. Their Histories Past Has Taught Me A Lot Of All Of The Pain And Abuse That They’ve Went Through With During World War 2 With Adolf Hitler

Good but Shaky Journalism. We need a left-leaning voice in the press, and Haaretz is a good option. However, unlike the New York Times, Haaretz mixes news and opinion, which lowers one’s trust in its accuracy. Still—the best liberal voice on Israeli affairs.

Excellent. Good access to news. Easy to use.

12. Stars. Tribal

Average. Needs to be optimised for iPhone 5! What are you waiting for? Every time I try to view news it crashes.

Comments uploaded are biast. All comments are screened before being uploaded and not all comments are shown. Only show what is in their agenda. Print the real thoughts of real people. You also have to log on to use this app. They want to know everything about you. Why?

Why paid??. The news contents are great. But why pay??

Disappointing Price Alteration. I was considering subscribing to Haaretz as one of the few voices of relative sanity on the Israeli media scene. The annual subscription listed on the App Store blurb was $129.99. However, on downloading the app, I noticed a ‘Special Offer’. The price for a subscription had suddenly jumped to $199.99 per annum! This reeks of exploitation in the current terrible circumstances, so no thank you. I can read the stories I wish to read online for free by submitting my email address when asked to do so, and turning off my ad blocker. Problem solved.

Another logon only news app. Haaretz has jumped on the "deep data" bandwagon, requiring a logon to access any news. Avoid.

Haaretz. Good balanced coverage of events and politics impacting Israel

Won't even connect. Tried to use this app. The app there is no internet connect. In spite of the fact all my other apps are connecting, I have full bars and 4g. Not impressed. Update: finally connected and there is no content except the footer ads on every page but no actually news. If there was a rating lower than 0, I would give it. I subscribe and pay for content not ads!! Fix it now!

Haaretz English is not opening, reloading the app does not solve the issue.. .

Beetlebi. I gave it one star because one is best. Thank you.

Good analysis of the news. In depth analysis of the news.

Disappointed. Why would I get ads when paying a monthly subscription ?

Haaretz. Great articles nice app

Up to date news. Articles are up to date with continuous updates. Content lets the readers know what is happening.

An Excellent source of information. I really enjoy Haaretz coverage. I find particularly interesting topics related to archaeology and science.

Cannot cancel subscription. Heads up you cannot cancel your subscription!

Great news outlet but irritating app. It's a great news outlet however when you download the app you have to register to be able to read the articles. Not very user friendly

Great Newspaper.. Very impressed. Courageous reporting.

Great newspaper, great app. I am addicted to this great newspaper. Keep up the good work!

Good newspaper. Very good news and user friendly.

Riyad Abboud- professional Engineer. I think the app is a very good informative one. Appreciate the objectivity in your rendering news.

Langue. En français svp Merci

Haaretz publications and journalism. Extremely informative and you seem to call it as it is..fair and balanced .. You point out there are two sides to every story and put it out there for people to digest and decide.. excellent work!!

Pop up ads?!?!. The new app version has improvements in some areas, but now includes pop up ads!!! Not only on loading but also while clicking in other parts. At this point there's no good reason to have the app installed. You might as well use a good browser app. And I say this as a subscriber. Plus, the app limits you to two hundred characters if you want to explain a problem. Well, then I have to review it to have more space.

Great news. The best source of news and opinion from Israel

Too anti. Too “anti Likud” and too little balance.

Background for a visit to Israel. I am travelling to Israel for the first time soon. A friend recommended your app to stay updated on the security situation but I am now addicted to your news, articles and opinion pieces! Great coverage of both current and in-depth subjects in English - thank you!

Not worth it.. Why would I use this app when it locks content that I can get on the website without subscribing?

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

No, you're biased.. I'm giving this 5 stars simply to off-set the idiotic Muslims who give this 1 star because it's Jewish.

Love the content. Really dislike the app.. I like the news from Haaretz and follow them for news from Israel. I have suscribed to the paper and am paying the subscription fee, yet I am bombarded by both popup ads and ads that take the bottom 5th of the screen away. If this is the cost of doing business, at least give me an option to pay more for the subscription and get it without these completely disruptive ads. The app also feels like a 1st gen app with poor usability.

Great app!!. Think this is a great app & please continue to provide news and updates!!

Very timely. I like to have a left wing point of view to counteract the very right wing news lately.

I LOVE HAARETZ!. this app offers such an interesting variety of information and ideas. I always know I will find something there that will not show up anywhere else.

Subscriptions are expensive. I like what I am able, but it is usually just a snippet of the story unless you have a subscription, which very expensive.

Bing improvement. Much more stable, better navigation, faster loading, native twitter support that actually works! Give it iPad support and search to get five stars!

Great new design and more stories. Haaretz really improved in the last year. The renewed app brings more content for subscribers and great layout

Great content, bad apps. Ha'aretz is a wonderful newspaper--superb content. But the mobile apps are unworthy of such a great news organization. The iPad app is particularly frustrating: when browsing the opinion articles, only a small fraction of the headline is readable. In both the iPhone and iPad apps it is way too easy to accidentally touch something that takes you off the page you're reading and it can be maddening to try to find your way back to where you were. One has to wonder if the app designers really use the apps because the problems are so obvious. Surely Ha'aretz, the intellectual voice of the startup nation, can do better. If your designers need help imagining what a good mobile newspaper reading experience is, have them look at the New York Times apps -- the difference is like night and day.

American in Chile. I really like the app to know what's going on in Israel. But, the last article that I read about Donald Trump was very biased and lacked facts that only someone very well-informed who took the time to learn about his political views and views on race especially, would know very well. Sure, like every U.S. President, he'll feel obligated to broker peace between Israel and the Palestinians, but he certainly won't stop support of all kinds to the Jewish homeland. One thing is for sure; he will be a much better ally to Israel than Obama!

So disappointed. I was upset when I updated and all the content was locked for paying subscribers. But now I'm angry that the app doesn't even open. Just freezes on the haaretz loading screen then crashes eventually. What happened??? This used to be such a good app! Bring it back!!

Awesome!!. Great app. Worth the monthly subscription fee. News always updated and current.

Terrible app!. It is a disgrace to offer this app to your paid subscribers. It seem to be only a source for spam with large ads making it very difficult to read any of the articles. In fact, it's much easier to read the mobile version with Safari. The app designers should look at how well the NY Times app is implemented and try something similar.

Advertisement. Too much ads, and subscription to Premium is locked, can’t be activated from Morocco !

Only worthwhile if pay for Account. App is free but 75% of articles cannot be viewed unless you have a Haaretz account, which cost money. This is only a critique of the app. I think the content is an interesting and well stated source of Israel news and analysis with a left leaning perspective.

Real news not mainstream lies.. Good app to know what's really going on in Israel. Mainstream news is in the toilet and somebody needs to flush it because the owners an reporters that work at mainstream news lie and just candy coat what they do tell you. Forget the big news agency's in the good old us of a. It's all a big pile of Dung....

Nazi party salutes Haaretz. Keep up the great work in maligning Israel . Where would we be without you

Best news. The best news to read daily, Always take the news of the Haaretz newspaper .request to reduce the involvement of the iPhone application fees

Pharmacist. I suppose to find out the truth, (in a world where no one seems happy while the Jewish people are alive) one needs to look for news coverage that has bad reviews

May have to reset account to show subscriber content. Subscriber content was not accessible to me (a subscriber). I contacted Haaretz support and they reset my account to fix it. Otherwise, it's a great app.

A valuable publication. An American in Israel highly appreciate the publication, only wish it were more like it was under the stewardship of Matti Golan, more evenhanded.

Great App!! I find it to be very good journalism.. The app has worked perfectly for me. The notifications are excellent. Great journalism, I must say. I am having a little problem with the app, it's freezing for some reason, but that may just be my phone. I am a subscriber and the app it's also very easy to navigate.

Mismanagement. Unfortunately I could not and can not login to my account and therefore have no use of my subscription. I made several requests to cancel my subscription and did receive a response. I again request that you cancel my subscription and refund all fees as of the day I initially subscribed Daniel Fiat

Great Read. I enjoy reading the articles in Haaretz very much and recommend it highly!

Great app. Great mobile app I use to read Haaretz every morning and throughout the day on my iPhone.

terrific app!. All the coverage and analysis that Haaretz does well - a great news app! Layout is clean and intuitive, easy access to key tabs (headlines, most read, etc). Nice features, content updated frequently, good sharing integration with email, facebook and twitter. Def recommended..

Great updates on Current Yisrael. Wish more was available without $$$ like many other news ... At least first paragraphs... Still very thankful for anything other than mass media... Shalom

Horrible ads that can't be closed. I am a paid subscriber and have logged into my account on this app and still have tons of ads pop up all the time, a lot of them can't even be closed. Easier to just use a browser.

Love the App!. It gives me relevant updates and notifications on breaking news events that I would otherwise find buried in someone else's newsfeed or miss all together!

Zebra. I take it primarily for coverage of the Palestinian situation but have found its coverage of world and major US news also to be excellent. The app works well on both iPhone and iPad.

Crashes. The home page doesn't load articles when you first open the app, and when you try to click home from any other tab, it crashes. Everytime.

Quality intelligence , independence and clarity. It is the best and most worthwhile journalism coming out of Israel. the price is high . I have plenty of trouble getting the newspaper to appear on my two devices . Sometimes on even one. The site needs simplification of access. Fine journalism.

Why should news be free??. The arrogance of some reviewers is astounding. Gathering news, particularly with the quality that Ha'aretz does it, is very costly. I'm a digital and weekend print subscriber who finds the product is well worth the cost of a few cups of Starbucks a month.

The Voice of Reason. While never on the surface, every rational man, Jew or (as I am) Gentile knows, anti-Semitism is alive and well in the United States. Haaretz gives me a voice from Israel informing of things good and bad. I appreciate the thoughtful treatment of touchy issues. It broadens my perspective and is much appreciated and finds its way to Facebook with regularity.

Thank you!. As a liberal non-Jewish American I have long looked to Harretz for some sense of understanding in the Middle East. Thank you for making an English iPhone version. Your editorials make me proud to be an Israeli supporter.

Great far away news. Great source of news affecting family in Israel since I don't live there. I tell them whats happening.

Doesn't recognize subscription. The app itself is fine. It works and isn't too clunky but definitely doesn't rival most large media companies apps. The ads are annoying considering I have a subscription. The main issue is that the app doesn't recognize my subscription. I'm logged into my account in the app but it still locks out articles because it says it's for subscribers only. I've logged in and out a few times but no luck. This is a major problem for me and anyone who pays money for a Haaretz subscription and expects to be able to actually read the newspaper.

Garbage app. Haaretz is garbage

Much, much better!. Way to go Haaretz! This app is much batter than the mobile website now that you support the iPhone 5 screen size. Now you just need to make the add banners in the article list move along with the articles when you scroll. Take a look at the WSJ app.

Works fine on iPod Touch. Very good app. Love the ability to resize the text (touching the screen) without overflowing the screen. I had no problem going from one article to another. Can share articles on Facebook. Registration was easy and quick.

Review. Great reporting. Timely and actionable information. Could not ask for more substantial coverage. Especially appreciate timely alerts.

Since you asked.... I like the information I get from this app, but the app itself is still not the appropriate size for iPhones from three years ago.

Great resource.. One of my prime sources of information about Israel. It helps me to talk to others armed with the facts rather than just speculation. Also it keeps me current with the rapid flux of change in Israel.

Great and accurate coverage. Glad to have this app since it reports in real time about flash news and important ones. For new users, I really recommend them to download it.

It's Good... But.... I like getting news from the Israeli point of view and Harretz does fulfill this very well. My issue is with the app itself. Despite the fact that I have paid for the app via an iTunes subscription the app has a seemingly endless list of advertisers line up to catch my eye - I do not like that. Further and most annoying is my need to click on the restore iTunes subscription before I can read an article. This happens every time I log onto the app... This doesn't occur with other subscriptions I have via iTunes. I bear with this annoyance because I want to access Israeli information first hand... But I wish both the incessant flood of advertising and the continuing need to let them know I am a subscriber would end.

Fantastic app. Thank you for keeping us up to date with what's going on in around Israel. I read the latest news and get it straight from a reliable source! No spin or biased reporting from fake news which are most of the major news networks in the USA.

That’s very cool. 😁😎

App is not very good. The app doesn't work very well at all. Even though I am a subscriber, it has a lot if ads in it. Sometimes the ads stop me from getting to the actual news content. I went through a period that, when I tried to use the app on my iPhone the first thing I would see would be a full page ad. When I tried to exit from the ad-- by pushing the "X" in the upper left hand corner-- it would exit from the app entirely rather than giving me access to the news content. When it does that, there is no way to use the app to read the news. And when I push the "back" button in the app, it exits the app entirely rather than taking me back to the last news item I read. The bottom line is that there have to be a lot easier and more efficient ways of getting English-language news abut Israel than this app. I just downloaded the Jerusalem Post app. If that works, I may cancel my subscription to Haaretz and go instead with the Post.

Haaretz News. The newspaper is in consonance with human evolution and authors write in a clear and rich style demonstrating solid background on the matter.

Great app. But crashes. Great content. App looks great but always crashes on my 4g touch. I'll write a better review with 5 stars when this is fixed.
