Great app but some ads ruin it. I don't mind the ads but when they(certain ads) ruin the app what's the point! Sometimes I prefer using the site.

Great app but unreliable notifications. The Gumtree app is great for browsing and posting listings, but notifications for messages I receive rarely show up. Most of the time I don’t know I’ve received a message until I see an email letting me know I have an unread message or I open the app and check manually.

Sold. Being using gumtree for a while, one of the easiest platforms to sell your unwanted stuff

My go to app for looking for anything in SA. Gumtree has established itself as the 1st place I look whenever I am interested in the price of a car, property, or anything else that the service has to offer. Extremely reliable and they recently made a great move getting a middle man involved in all transactions to ensure safe transactions.

Great except property section. Great app. But property section is a mix up between rentals and sales.

Not too bad. Very user friendly, however the top ads that reoccur every time you scroll up is getting a bit much. If I wanted to open them I would've done so when they popped up at the top the first time.

Good stuff. Great app with good search functionality and customisation. Only Issue is that it logs you out every few weeks and you lose your customer searches, watchlists, etc

Still the best. I use this more than the desktop site. Great customisation options for searches - the best I've found yet. The benchmark.

Solid Platform. The application is well designed and swiftly allows the user to permute between desktop and mobile platforms. The "Messages" feature is probably the most efficient, as one needs to no longer access e-mail inboxes. In order to improve the app, the codes when editing the adds need to be removed.

Easy quick and painless. Literally in a matter of seconds my ad is up. Also responses I get from gumtree is far more than the competitor app. Love the app and will continue my support

Gumtree - a very useful app. The application works well in terms of searching for products and deals, but I have experienced many problems in uploading my own ads.

Could be so much better.. Cross-device item likes are never properly synced. I wish they could fix this issue. I like an item on ipad and then see it still not added online or on iphone, even thoughI am signed in with the same account. Sometimes it works, but not regularly. Unliking something is equally frustrating in the same way.

Mr.. This app use to work, but now I cant post anything on gumtree anymore. And it doesnt seem it gets worked on, because there are already a couple complaints like this one on the app review, but it doesnt get fixed. And it doesn't seem like the app builders are even slightly concerned about the fact that the app is not working, because after all the complaints, NOTHING gets done!!! Wow, how typically south african!!!

It does what I need it to do, but could improve.. It's a great app and easier than logging in on a PC, however you won't be able to see as much information as you do on the online site.

Faulty App. After the last update pages don't load. 😡 Why fix things that work.

Rolled out too early. App looks fresh , not one for change when you get used to something that works but it does look nice however , please address the following App exits on iPhone randomly when swiping across pics, wasn’t an issue on the older model When search text is cleared to begin a new search , the filters are also removed. This is a pain if you searching for multiple items In the same filter set

Good way to sell stuff, but why are you reading my clipboard?. After upgrading to iOS 14, users have been able to discover which apps are constantly retrieving data from their clipboard without permission. Many apps have been named and shamed, and many had to change the way they automatically take anything copied to a users clipboard from a users phone or even linked to tablet or Mac. Every time I open Gumtree in iOS 14, I get it a notification to say Gumtree has copied from my clipboard, without my permission. Please update the app to stop reading users clipboards without permission. I do not want things like passwords, credit card details, text from personal messages and emails, URLs, or anything else I copy, to be sent to the Gumtree app without my permission. This should not be happening.

Feedback. Your app is great. The content sometimes is confusing, possibly caused by users putting their information in incorrect format. For instance: - when you look for jobs, you get people offering services - if you could eliminate those instances where people post the same add lots of times, this would improve the site Overall I’ve used gumtree to buy and sell products, as well as for property rentals for many years and it’s generally been of a great standard and service. Thank you.

Ok but can improve. I like gumtree quite a bit. Infact ik always making a quick buck on stuff i sell or getting something to resell. The problem is that some adds or add names their are several advertisement of the same add. Either its a small business or a guy advertising the same thing a few times. Recently i stopped using gumtree because it has become annoying.

Awesome but need an iPad version. Use this app a lot, but would be way better to use on the iPad now that you can use iMessage to pass off SMS's via your phone :) When can we expect?

Facebook OAuth integration doesn’t work. Good app, however registration process was frustrating due to facebook integration not working. Eventually registered using email address option.

Stunning. The app is the only way to experience Gumtree in full. Searching is easier, managing own ads is a breeze and everything else works as well.

Great app. Quick and easy to post new ad's, edit them and to check how many visits your ad has. Messaging within the app is a great feature connecting buyers and sellers.

Good app. The app is great besides for the fact that once the app picks up your location, you can't search for anything outside of that location. Was so frustrating! Gumtree needs to change that. Sometimes I need to search for accommodation elsewhere in the country but I can't because the app has picked up my location and only shows me things near my location. So annoying! Besides that, the app is really cool! Easy to use! It's actually worth 5 stars but I gave it 4 stars because of the location issue.

Unusable. The down-scrolling samsung ad completely disables app and makes the experience absolutely unusable. It choked the app, uses so much screen real estate that i deleted app. Pity the app builders who had their work flushed down the toilet!

Terrible!. Can't sign in with Facebook or otherwise, I just keep looping around from signing in, filling out info and requesting sign in. Hugely Annoying. And when I click the 'App Assist' button, the page doesn't exist.

Too many adds. There are way too many ads. Ads at the top, ads at the bottom and somewhere in amongst them all are a few items for sale.

Disappointing. Nowhere near enough functionality. Refinement options in search results are seriously lacking. It's useless for looking for apartments because you can't specify your exact requirements like you can on the website.

Bad to worse. This app used to work ok, the search was not brilliant but it was possible to post an ad from my 4S. The last few weeks however, it has not been able to even he past the splash screen. Same on my wife's iPhone 5.

Doesn't open. I unfortunately updated this app to the latest version and then it wouldn't launch. I then deleted and re-downloaded it and same deal. Terrible.
