It’s nice but it could be better. The Carfax app is OK for what it is now but there are some bugs that could be fixed. An example being that sometimes when scrolling through the vehicles I find that some of the listings have the incorrect picture and when I click on the listing the correct picture shows up meaning that it’s a bug in the app. The app also seems a little bit outdated I believe the aesthetic of the app could be a little better just for an easier user-friendly navigation. Easy easy easy!. So easy to find, not only the car that you wanted but at reasonable prices! I haven’t brought a used car in 30 years. The tedious time of wasting days and driving miles searching for the car you desire are over!…I found several cars within miles of my house. Pick the best one and less than a few hours my daughter’s 1st car is sitting in our driveway! We couldn’t be happier!

GREAT APP TO DO CAR RESEARCH AND MORE. I recently decided to get a car and I have always found this app the app to go to, this app makes it so easy and quick to find care without any problems, and all you have to do to make an account is using an email, password, and after that all you have to do is confirm your email, I’ve started using this app, I love it so far, 1,000% recommend!

Half the app doesn’t work. Every time I go to filter my search and error pops up. The home page always comes up with zero results so I have to take 3 extra steps to get to a search. The year, trim, color ect filters show up blank. Anytime I add or take away a filter it comes up with an error even tho I can still search for a specific car with limited filters. I tried deleting and reinstalling. Updating, nothing see to work. App would be great if it wasn’t broken. Been like this since I got it a few weeks ago.

Only Car app I like. Every single other app doesn't allow you to set a minimum amount of miles so you're stuck with choosing "Under X amount of miles" and all the vehicles come up with zero miles and you have to call about how much they have. Carfax allows you to set a minimum amount and I appreciate that a lot.

Beware. I purchased a report and the app gave me an error without ever delivering the report and directed me to the area in the app to submit feedback. I submitted feedback and it indicated they would reply soon. After 3 business days and 3 follow ups there were no responses. I submitted for a refund from Apple but they won’t refund in app purchases for this app. I went to CARFAX’s website and submitted for a refund but they claim it is Apple’s responsibility to issue refunds for in app purchases. I’m out $40 and got nothing for it. Don’t use this app. Update: after 5 days I finally got responses from the app and they refuse to refund but will manually run a report for me. Since I already bought a car this is useless to me. Still out $40 and got nothing for it but bad customer service. Still don’t use this app.

App has improved, but still lacking. Pros: CARFAX has a wonderful database of cars, helping you view many dealerships and used car lots at once. Cons: The share options only send people a link to get the app. The filters button is also not where I would expect to find it. I would think that switching the “back to search” and the filters buttons would make more sense. You also cannot select and copy text so you cannot copy and search the vin. The CARFAX app has made some great improvements, but still has a lot to fix. I would recommend the full site over the app at this time.

Weird bug recently. Anytime I try to change my search options, it will bring up the menu but when I go to change selections there is no way to do it. For instance, when I click “drive type” there is no menu to make a selection. And when I am able to change something it doesn’t register or I get an “uh-oh! Please update your search criteria” message.. which is what I’m trying to do. Otherwise this app has been very helpful!!

I wanted to ask. Love the app wanted to ask if right off the bat you can put price filter in the beginning say I’m looking for a car under 20,000. In a range 50miles . Instead of looking for each make . It be easier to have it right at the beginning. Or for the make section : show (All Makes )which would also be easier . Please consider this please 5 stars anyways.

They lie. Your search filters may as well be suggestions for APT because you get what they want you to get. I have deleted this app numerous times and downloaded it again and again thinking I had made a mistake but it’s not mistake when you describe a vehicle with a sun/moonroof in your filter. The same feature is in the description but nowhere in any picture is there a sunroof/moonroof. I have found this app to be a total waste of time with exception to all the dealers and car lots they sell your info to, or it’s probably in the small print to use their app. It’s not worth the space it takes up on my phone so this is the last time I will delete it, forever.

I had high hopes, but it’s unreliable!. I had very high hopes for this app. It’s crashed a few times taking valuable records with the repeated failure! I have resorted back to a small notebook for each of my family members cars that I maintain! In response to this review someone has asked me to contact them to see if possibly any of my maintenance records could be retrieved. Other than receiving a standard computer generated reply there has been absolutely no attempt to help retrieve any of the valuable maintenance records that I am lost. I pray I don’t have any serious warranty issues over the loss of my records! I should never of trusted Carfax.!

Congrats to ME!!. My husband and I have been looking for a “ new to me” car. This site helped us make an educated choice and feel comfortable going into the car dealer. We knew almost everything about the car we chose before even test driving it. We compared three different cars on the lot, made a spread sheet and chose our car based on information we obtained from CARFAX. It’s valuable information to make the informative and best decision on this big ticket purchase.

Best tool when looking for a used car.. I use this all the time when I am looking for a used car. It has saved me many a trip to the dealership because I know the price, car’s condition and car’s history. Now I just go to the dealership after I have done my homework and am ready to buy.

Excellent App with no hassle. I got this app so I could check out the prices of cars in various places. I want to know what the going rate was for cars that I am interested in and see if there were any vehicles that peaked my interest. I’ve never actually bought off of this site before but the whole purpose of this site is just to show you what’s available out there. They haven’t sold my information to my knowledge and they aren’t pushy for you to buy a car. The only time you ever deal with a sales person is when you want to and you reach out to them. It’s also nice to know that the car that you’re interested in has Carfax’s note of approval.

Plagued by bad sellers. This app was created with a purpose and if used for that purpose it would’ve been great. The reality is that EVERY single dealership or seller on this app is a fraud or scam or lying or bait and switch. You will NOT find an honest person on this platform. I’ve wasted too much time trying to work with sellers (spoken to over 70 sellers in my research), only to be met with different terms upon showing up to their physical site. It’s a shame, these idiots ruin car buying for people. Don’t even bother, the sellers and their shady tactics have destroyed this app.

Hands Down, the Best. We all know CarFax is great, and because I had a list of priorities when finding a car: no accidents, less than 10 years old, under 45k miles, performance package, manual, one owner, within 150 miles, and under 23k. In that order. I was able to quickly sort through cars using CarFax. ~~~ Pro tip: learn everything about the car you want and don’t label any specific trims or options. Often times the dealer won’t actually know what they have because they will just look at a trim and not pay attention to the options. Sometimes they even mislabel the trim! ~~~ I used this to find my car. I was able to actually find one where the dealer wasn’t very knowledgeable on the car, so I basically got a performance package for free. They didn’t know it was on there, they only labeled the trim, not paying attention to options. It was ~2k under KBB value, not including the performance package, adding that in I saved almost 5 grand! I did have to end up driving a bit closer to 200 miles though but it was worth it! I really wish I was able to give 6/5 stars!!!

Missing important functionality that website has. Updated Review: Developers have already fixed the one major issue I had with the app, that’s amazing service. A 2-star is a harsh rating given how clean this is but I’m hoping it will get the developers attention so they can address this one small issue. 🐛Bug Report🐛 Description: When visiting my favorites list for a used vehicle, I cannot highlight text to copy from the vehicles details page but I can from the web app. This seems like an easy fix, if you can correct this I will bump up my review. I like to copy/paste the VIN to get additional details about vehicles / quickly find them on the dealers site. Device: iPhone 11 Pro Max Platform: iOS 14.3 ✅Feature Requests - Nice to haves ✅ 1) It would be great if I could write notes about a favorited vehicle. I have to export the listings to a spreadsheet for note taking capability which is a shame. It’s very useful when your trying to narrow down a search. 2) It would be great if you had a “not interested” selection so I could forever block certain vehicles from appearing in future searches. I’ve seen this implemented on some realtor sites / apps. It’s a rare but awesome feature.

Satisfied. Bought my second car two months ago now.. 2013 M37 Infinity from Nashville TN, I’m from Huntsville Alabama.. I learned a lot from my first experience on things I should have thought about.. I don’t regret the purchase just my patience lol.. So far my M37 is sweet!! Wrongfully reporting an accident on my vehicle. I’m in the middle of selling my car and it was brought to my attention that carfax is reporting an accident on my car. My vehicle has never been in an accident. This blemish is hindering the sale of my vehicle, the buyer is backing out due to the inaccuracies of Carfax. I have reached out to carfax via their guidelines online for almost a week now. I have not received any Correspondence. The customer service for this company is horrible and for them to not have a customer service number that goes to show they are not in the business of dealing with discrepancies caused by them. Has this happen to anyone else? Do we need to contact counsel and start a class action law suit? Alfonso Ron

Good place to find a good reliable vehicle. I purchased a 2018 Hyundai Sonata from Norm Reeves Hyundai Supercenter in Cerritos California. Jalil the salesman was so nice and friendly. I like the fact that he wasn’t pushy. We had a good conversation about the vehicle and not once did he try to sell me the car. Also, his brother Khalid was a pleasure as well. All, the salesman’s were very polite, helpful, and kept a smile on my fiancé and I face. I would recommend anyone to go there and they price matched with the price listed on her with no hesitation. I walked out with me a new car and a new friend Jalil. I love my car and the service that was provided.

Great app. This app saved me from buying a car with airbag deployment history and severe damage after an accident without the seller disclosing it. The 50 bucks I paid for the report definitely worth it. I also found my car I ultimately bought on the used cars listed on this app, instead of spending more bucks on other carfax reports from a third party.

Daddy’s little girls first car 🚘. So far I am pleased with the layout Carfax provides and until I get to physically inspect the vehicle so I won’t know how true the information is that has been provided. Stay tune for that updated information. This is a very important purchase for me to make. My daughter turns 21 coupled with she just graduated college so therefore in my ❤️she deserves a very nice first car that’s going to be trustworthy mechanically sound. Moreover I deserve not to be ripped off and therefore am expecting complete honesty from all personnel at the demotion. So stay tuned for part twos update. Thankyou Roy

I’d like more filter options. Like the option to decide how many previous owners there were instead of just 1 or any amount make it an option to choose 1 or 2 or more. Same with accidents. I’m willing to buy a car that’s been in a minor accident but my filter options are no accidents to any and all accidents even salvaged cars.

CarFax is indispensable. I will not buy a used car without a CarFax Report. It is priceless to find a 1-Owner car, with documented oil changes, locally owned and serviced, and no accidents. I also use the app to look at detail of the service history. If I see repeat issues over a period of time or miles, I avoid the car. Sometimes the service history will show multiple wheel changes and multiple alignments over a year or two. That points to a suspension issue that is not adjusted properly. Sometimes the history shows numerous, repeat electrical issues. Ownership location of the vehicle is also important. Prefer not to purchase a used car from a “Rust Belt” State, MN, WI, MI, northern OH, NY, etc... I have been using Car Fax fir almost two decades! I preferred when I could purchase unlimited checks over a 3-month or 6-month period. I’m a patient shopper. Sometimes it takes that long to find and screen for the right car.

Almost 5. It’s a great app and has a lot more information that others I use. It’s intuitive and user friendly. I would have given it 5 stars if it had search options that allowed me to better select my price range, choose a filter for vehicles that have images, and a way to sort and filter the MPG. I currently looking for a vehicle that won’t break the bank and it take a bit of searching to find one with good fuel economy. Other than that, I prefer this app over others!

Find a car easy. I bought my truck using the CARFAX app in a week after driving around and looking for almost a year. I’ll never waste gas or time again , you can use the filters on the app right down to the exact vehicle you want , color, mileage, price, and location of vehicle without leaving the couch.

My one stop car buying store. Superb filters to provide me the cars listing at my needs and quick updates on sold and new cars. No performance issues and the best part carfax reports available for free. I hope I am not missing any car near by just by using only this app and not others.

Expected Better. When I downloaded CARFAX for the first time I had very high expectations, but I was clearly wrong. When you go to search for a vehicle it will not let you search by price, you must put in a body style, and when you put in more than one it will not allow you to save the search. After I found that out I waited for an update and since then a few have came out, but there is problem, every time it does update the app would crash. Eventually I gave up with CARFAX, there are much better apps out their and I strongly do not suggest you waisting your time on this one.

Sold cars continue to display. I have been using your platform for over three years now. Recently, I have noticed often some ads appear active on your platform. When I approached they dealer. They replied the car isn’t available. Interestingly, at the cost of your platforms reputation, such dealers post ads to catch potential customers in the market. Dealers start getting detail of the customer. Please keep check on such ads. I still don’t want to name the dealership. My purpose in the first place is to post you about my concern and not to malign anyone’s reputation right away. I have a screen shot of an add. Even after communicating with dealership and knowing the car is sold. I notice ad is still appearing.

Best Car Buying App. In my opinion this is a great app to use to follow the merket prices of cars so that you can find a automobile of your choice, at the price that’s affordable. I myself use this app from a car enthusiast point of view. This is a great way to track market price vs what the cars are selling for around you, so you can find one in good condition, at a low price. The location based searches are great cause I live in MI and like to look for cars below the salt belt (less rust). OVER ALL A GREAT APP AND PROGRAM!

Great car shopping app. Love being able to see cars from all over and make deals on their purchase prices. Would love to have this app make it possible to swipe away the ones you aren’t interested in and keep them hidden. That way you have a custom tailored list to look at that you are fully interested in.

the BEST way to find a car. i got in an accident recently, and had to buy a car on my own and i had no idea where to start. i came across Carfax and decided to give it a try. best decision of my life!! my favorite part about carfax is that you can know you are getting a good value for your car, and literally every detail about it, from whether it has bluetooth to the date of the last oil change. also i love all the filters you can put on your search so you can see exactly the type of cars your looking for! carfax helped me find a car that i love! if i ever need to buy a car again i know where i’m going, and i would highly recommend it for ANYONE who is looking for a car.

Excellent app. Just 2 suggestions. I love the app and everything it has to offer. I only have 2 wishes: would it be possible to permanently hide a vehicle (the same way we ‘save’ a vehicle. If I find a car that I do not like for some reason, I will continue to see it every time I rerun my search. The other one is the fact that I don’t seem to see any private listings. Not sure if it is not available, too costly, or if I am doing something wrong.

Easy to use and compare cars.. This is a great app that helps to provide a lot of information all in one place. Also, you don’t have to sign up for the app to use it and I love that! The only gripe I have is that you can either search for all models of a particular make OR all of them. For instance, I’m interested in an Audi S3, RS3, or an S5, but I have to sift through a lot of A models to with how the search is set up. Or I search for them individually, which is fine. Lastly, I wish there was a way to organize the specs and options of a car so that I could quickly export the information into a spreadsheet. That really helps with coming up with some great comparisons.

One Stop Shop. When looking for a new car, the CARFAX app had everything I needed in one place. Every car had a free CARFAX report that included all the history reported on the vin. It helped to price the car, know if I was getting a good deal and I felt much more informed when talking to the dealer. Highly recommend for type A car buyers!

CARFAX app could see a bit of work. Well I know that says the Carfax app is good as far as displaying what you request but I can’t seem to find a way to type in what I’m looking for. I may not know the name of a car type and it’s counterparts but I have to put that in directly in order to get access to seeing all vehicles I would like to be able to just see all vehicles that are listed and available instead of having to choose specific cars only I would like that option as well of course

Show Me The CARFAX. I love CARFAX because I like knowing all that has happened to a car. By using CARFAX, I am able to know if a car has been involved in a car wreck, how many owners it had, and what recalls have been open. I haven’t purchased a car yet, but I’ve been looking and I love this aspect of the app. I know that I will be purchasing my car from CARFAX soon. Thanks CARFAX!

Search engine incapable of selecting multiple criteria. When searching for a used car, whatever route I take (body type search, make/model search) I run into issues. Specifically when trying to adjust the filters. Every time I adjust price, mileage or features, really anything that you could, I am met with a error message stating that my search is invalid and I must adjust the criteria. This doesn’t just happen to me selecting multiple criteria possible, this happens even when I adjust just one of the many criteria that can be adjusted. Although the other features on this app remain a invaluable assets, searching for a car is practically useless here.

Great app, one issue. I love this app but there is one issue that needs solving. A few updates ago I’ve noticed when I swipe out of the app in the middle of a car search (for example I go to reply to a text) once I go back to the app the results go back to the top of the list. This is very frustrating as if I’m looking through hundreds of cars and I go to reply to a text I come back and I have to scroll for awhile to get back to where I was on the list. Please fix this, I tried to find a way to report it but apparently it only lets you report purchases that have gone wrong. If you see this email CARFAX please put the app back to the way it was and fix this glitch so I don’t have to scroll for miles to get back to where I was if I click out of the app.

Makes it easy to find the best deal. This app is really easy to use but cleanly gives you a ton of useful information. It’s not full of ads or spam like other apps (thank you!). I like how I can filter on cars with the options that matter to me and the insight on what is a good deal or not made me feel MUCH better about my purchase. This is the only app I will use for car buying.

Excellent App / Horrible on iPads. I would gladly give this five stars if it was formatted for an iPad. As it stands now, you are much better off going to CARFAX on a web browser than using this app on an iPad. It looks horrible. What is especially sad is that it could be so much more useful for car shopping on an iPad than it is on an iPhone, because the iPhone formatting is very condensed (which is to be expected because they have relatively smaller screens). I am happy that the separate myCARFAX app does have formatting for an iPad. It looks and works great! I wish the developers would use that success to turn around this app, which iPad users should avoid since a web browser works/looks so much better.

Not entirely accurate, needs improvement. I selected no accidents for a filter and simply browsing through the photos, clearly the cars had damage on them from accidents. So not very well maintained database. Also the search area is not very accurate either. I selected less than 50 mile search radius from my community and it is showing cars at more than 70 miles away. Point is that the search criteria does not work very well. Also, why list cars that are sold already? That does not make sense.

Don’t expect timely access to reports. Waste of $85. Was in the market for a car and wanted vehicle history report. As with all good car deals, they don’t last long, so I needed the report ASAP. I purchased 5 reports for $85. Money was withdrawn immediately but I didn’t have access to reports right away. I emailed customer support to see what the hold-up was. Not only did it take them a week to respond, which I think is unreasonable for customer support, but the reports weren’t accessible for an entire week too. Had to rely on Autochek instead, which provided immediate access to reports. Purchased a car after using Autochek and no longer needed CARFAX, but now I can’t get refunded for the $85 because Apple has identified CARFAX report purchases as a non-refundable purchase. Seems quite convenient for CARFAX. Very disappointed that CARFAX can’t do more to refund my money. Therefore I can not recommend their services and will be going with Autochek in the future.

The App Does its Job Very Effectively!. Prior to having to buy a used car for the first time, I had seen advertisements for Carfax and thus knew about their website. So, when it came time to sell my current car and search for another used car, I turned to Carfax and found their mobile app to be very useful! The search filters and vehicle history reports provided through the Carfax mobile app greatly aided me in my search for a used car. Furthermore, the ability to mark specific vehicle listings that I was interested in, as well as the automatic Carfax recommendations added an extra sense of convenience. I ultimately ended up finding the car I was looking for after researching the vehicles that I was considering, and I’m quite satisfied with my purchase.

Fantastic Tool. If you want to know the truth about a used car then you need these reports. I really don’t trust a used car salesperson’s verbal words as their goal is to get money out of my pocket. Car Fax reports don’t lie. If a dealer doesn’t want to produce me with a these reports then I don’t even continue talking to them as they are probably hiding something.

Best Car Shopping App Out There!. Used car shopping has been something I basically avoid all the time. Fortunately, I put my trust in Carfax and realized it isn’t scary at all. I love how easy to use the app is from filtering on a vehicle, to getting to the carfax report! Now I’m in the car of my dreams thanks to this app! :)

Well designed but with two weird quirks. On the website, I can save my searches without issue, but frequently in the iOS app the save search function is great out for no reason. This needs to be fixed. The features selection is not alphabetized, but is in order of how common that feature is in your particular search. They also gray out features that are not in your search results , but you might want to search for anyway. It’s unclear why they aren’t alphabetized which is the only logical way. Note programmer stop growing out options that your customers want to use.

I would not recommend it!!!. came to one of the offices to get the car at the appointed time. reluctantly told to wait, did not offer not to sit down anything. CarFax does not care about customers we immediately realized. then a strange man came and said «you have brought too little money», because the price will be higher and you will have to repair the car yourself. the cars are higher than in other places we still have to repair it! incomprehensible office without signs, very difficult to find them, no parking. is a 100% scam. do not advise CarFax!!

iPad issue. When I open the window to view the specifications of the vehicles, the information is displayed to wide for the window. I’m unable to resize or move the information to view everything. Not sure if this has been reported. I’ve tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, no change. Very disappointed. I love the app on my phone, but the IPad it’s not usable. The difference I notice in on the phone the information is displayed in two columns glowing down. On the IPad it’s displayed with 4+ columns going across the screen and is too wide for the display. Hopefully this is an easy fix.

Most Helpful & Easy to Use. I’ve tried ,I believe , all the other apps searching for a car. CARFAX is absolutely, hands down, the easiest to use, most informative and detailed information. The price history feature is probably one of the most amazing features not to mention how easy it is to swipe through all The picture. Good job CARFAX.

Great app “But”. Love the app but way to notifications sent multiple time a of the same vehicle’s different order. But the sad thing about the notifications is there not the vehicles that your interested in. If they were for your saved searches it would make more sense and would be more acceptable

Customer service is so trash. Getting a car. Its great. But the customer service? Beyond infuriating. The text system to speak with a rep is the most frustrating system ever!!! I can never reach out to anyone via phone and it takes 7 reps (cause you got disconnected so many times eith hardly any warning) and several days to get some kind of solution that doesn’t even really help! The text system doesnt tell you when a rep is gone and if its idle for several minutes it automatically disconnects.

Not bad but not good enough to keep. Ok so it searches cars well. My issues were (1) the app didn’t remember my personal preference, such as “search distance” or “sort by” or etc and (2) the app didn’t let me narrow down the search. For example, I was searching for Maserati Quattroporte “GTS” and Lexus GS-“F” but not further narrow down feature so I had to go through tens or hundreds of cars to find the ones I was interested in. Not worth the time. Pretty good app but not good enough to keep in my phone.

Reliable. Is very important to have a place that offer reliability providing all the information you need to know when you decide to invest your money to buy a used car. Carfax brings that kind of confidence.

Awesome for car shopping!. I’ve been dreading looking for a used car but this app is super helpful and easy to use and making the process less painful. I can see what is available near me and what prices are fair - bonus to see the Carfax report!

Both Carfax and the App is great!!!. We love Carfax. My husband purchased a vehicle from your site and was not disappointed. We reached out to the dealer through Carfax. Carfax reported a legitimate history on the vehicle and the buying process was easy. We will purchase our next vehicle through Carfax!

Excellent details toward everything.. I start by saying that using this app gives a buyer a good perspective of everything they would need to determine whether it’s worth the time to goto a dealership and buy one of their vehicles. Good job by all those involved in the development of this site.

Some glitches. I really love the Carfax app and I keep all of my history and information in there but one problem I can’t seem to figure out is every time I upload a receipt from my mechanic, it disappears and won’t show up. I’ve tried contacting them a few times but have never heard back. Very frustrating. Other than that a great app

To whom it may concern!!. Love this App btw! But look at Auto List set up app is so much better to navigate I can enter my price range you can’t! I can look at the pictures with clicking on the car link you can’t And a really cool feature you should have : “dislikes” that get rid of the cars you don’t want to see and place’s them in a section where it only show dislikes.

Price category. Everything about the app is great just would be more convenient having a price section where you can search for cars that fit your budget

Seems to be a good app so far!. I was mainly using Carmax before this as i’m looking for a car. But after using both carmax and carfax it seems they carfax has better deals and it actually tells you if the price is a good deal or not.. I recommend it!

Vehicle history doesn’t work right away. I bought a single report for 40$ which seems in my mind a little too much, but hey I wanted to see the history on my car, it’s been hours and it still doesn’t let me do the report which is stupid, I’ve heard it takes around a week after you have made your purchase to actually get your report which is stupid.

Save Search does not work. I love everything about the app. It makes searching for what I want simple. BUT it’s frustrating when I create a search and adjust the filters only to have it not save properly when i return in the app. I have also noticed when I go to a saved search and try to apply changes to it, my screen stays frozen.

App needs more work on it. I would give this app 5 stars but it needs improvement with keeping track of service records and when they are due. The State inspection is a yearly ritual and includes the safety inspection along with the emissions inspection & testing. So, I ask why do I have separate records of the inspection and the emission, instead of one record as those services are conducted at the same time. I’m trying to avoid duplication and redundancy with my service reports. The auto registration is renewed yearly with the license plate. Where I live, people have 90 days prior to renewal to get their cars inspected before the registration deadline. So, the dates for inspection and registration don’t have the exact deadlines.

I never write reviews but this app is amazing. I love this app because it tells you if the car had an accident and more useful information that I need. And I also recommend a great vehicles which I really love. Love this app.

Filter and sort. Could you make the Filter and sort selections stay when going to new search. It a pain to have to reset filters and sort every time.

Lack of options selection. More flexibility picking the brand, models or body. The app just allows to choose one. Any other car app gives the chance to pick more than one single option on the filters I mentioned before

Great Options. If you want to look at a place that combines all of what you’re looking for, in the price range, make, model, etc. this is it. CARFAX takes your filters from all places around you in the mile radius you desire. Absolutely love the prices and cars I’m seeing. If you’re looking for a used car, don’t do it without CARFAX!

Amazing. I love learning about cars, and this app is perfect because it lets me know in depth about certain brands, models, and even down to the series types including great information when a vehicle was in an accident, it shows where on the vehicle the accident occurred !!!!!

The best car buying app there is. I’ve bought multiple cars off CARFAX and my experience has been amazing Everytime and the cars are just like there are in pictures .

Best Search Program. The Car Fax search program is the most intuitive search aid that I have used. In addition to its easy use the Carfax program lets you look at a real CARFAX report for free! Thank you for this great car search tool!

Car buying made simple. This app is easy to use. You are not left wondering about anything.. best way to locate a car and have all the facts before you go look……

Easily find the right car. I love that you can filter for cars with no accident history. Overall great experience to narrow down the right car for me.

Limited features. Models are lumped into an entire family and there is no way to filter these submodels. (i.e. VW Golf Alltrack, Golf R, and Golf Sportwagen are not available, they are all just “Golf.”) There are also missing trims, and you can only save 2 searches at a time. Otherwise, it’s a useful app if you can figure out how to navigate it, despite its flaws.

Smooth App. They have everything.. I just discovered the app and I been hook ever since. It is my 2nd go to app after car gurus. They slowly becoming number my number 1 let’s see what happens

Must have app for used car buying!. This is an excellent app for buying a used car as it provides free CARFAX report. It’s better than TrueCar as the free Carfax report really helps narrowing down the search by excluding accident/damage reported cars.

Best Used Car App. After using several used cars apps CARFAX has become my go-to. Ease of use, the ability to see the CARFAX immediately and rule out cars that don’t fit my criteria is immensely helpful. My other favorite feature is all pics on one feed to scroll down easily instead of thumbing through slowly.

Beware. Don’t use CARFAX they are frauds. They are saying I had a previous wreck in my car that cost $5000 and I never did I tried to get the police report from the police case number they gave me and the authorities told me no such report exists now three weeks later they are emailing me saying they got the report but no such proof that I’ve seen. Also I’ve been the only owner of my car and I know for a fact it wasn’t wrecked or damaged where they said it was!

Better than CarMax app. I Love how I can filter and edit specific specs to find the right vehicle that I’m looking for in my price range! Cheap vehicles for young crowd like me who struggled in 2020 and lost my car & job. Thank you CARFAX for helping my find the right car so I can get back out there to make money again with a Dream Car!

Carfax app. I have not bought a car yet, but the info from your app made me slow down and use your work to evaluate my purchase further. It is so great to not have to guess at what might be. Your app is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just amazing. Searched for my first car using CARFAX app and now I’m using it again for my second one this app makes life to easy and also allows you to browser through thousands of dealers and cars in a matter of seconds. Love it

Could easily be better. App works fine, but I wish for better search options, and more accurate car features list. The app doesn't tell you if the vehicle has the auto-break/active break assist feature. It's a very important feature that many modern cars have, but not all.

Good place to car shop. Get the facts about the cars that interest you but keep in mind that the photos may not show it all. This is a good way to avoid a lot of driving looking for what you want

Helped me to make a smart decision. Easy to order a carfax through the app FAST and in real-time. This helped me to call out a private seller from CL on a couple minor fender benders he forgot to mention on his “excellent condition” car. Your service is a bit pricey for my taste, but still worth it if you’re in the market to buy.

Bugs. The only thing that’s not working right now is the favorites list of your vehicles. They just won’t load and makes me go back to search for them but they are favorited for me that’s the only thing not working but other than that it’s a good app.

Please add search features already!. I have to keep scrolling endlessly to find something even close to what I want through the ‘low to high’ on either price or mileage. They don’t have any search features at all, only ‘sort’. Those are very BIG helpful must need things and they haven’t added them. I’d recommend CarGurus which does have them, but keep in mind not as many results as this one.

Changing Price! No more unlimited plates!!!!. I always paid and loved Carfax because of letting us pay for UNLIMITED PLATES and giving 5 VINS. It's nice when car shopping on Craigslist or other sites to check plates but now CARFAX changed pricing to $100 and only 6 REPORTS PLATE OR VIN YOU GET ONLY 6! lol wow Carfax good bye! I will have to start using competition now! Here we come AutoCheck! I used Carfax as a consumer not as a Dealer! Carfax is now 10 Times more expensive Then AutoCheck and AutoCheck I have found out gives you UNLIMITED VINS for just $99!

It’s good but I have one complaint abt it. I really wish that I could search the type of car that I want without having to click the brand then the model but I don't know why but it’s a little confusing, I want an actual search bar

Great app!!! Perfect for finding the ideal car!!!. This app is amazing. They narrow down your selections to your specifications so that you know that you are getting the right car for you. It’s kind of hard to describe. That’s why I recommend that you try it out for yourself. All around perfect app!!!

No crew can category for trucks.. Car fax could do better with this app. There is no category to narrow my search down to Crew cab trucks/ 4 full door cabs. Also I have found multiple dealerships that leave listings up as bait after they have been sold. Why hasn’t car fax come up with a way to flag these listings like craigslist has.

Great Tool. East to use.. The app is extremely intuitive, so the user gets comfortable quickly. There are various ways to view the data, too. Overall, it’s a fine app.

Car shopping made easy. App provides so much info. The filet options are great! Would love to see more filetering options. But, also realize those are only as good as the data behind them.

Easy to find exact info I want. Easy to find what I want on the APP. Most other car seller apps jump all around, have ads, and take too many clicks to find what I want. They don’t realize they loose more customers than they gain.

Dumb. I’m in the market for a new car and I have my eye on a Volvo s40. I was wanting to see the maintenance history mainly to see if the timing belt was ever changed. I knew car fax did pretty good on that. So I went to the carfax website. Then I was met with “get reports”. So I clicked it and I had seen $45 FOR JUST ONE REPORT!! That is way WAY OVER PRICED!! I RATHER BUY THE CAR AND RUN THE RISK OF THE MOTOR LOCKING UP!! I’m on a tight budget as is BECAUSE I’m trying a car. Now I could see it being $7.99 for 1 report, $10 for 2, and $20 for 5. BUT A $100 FOR 5 REPORTS NOW THAT RIGHT THERE IS ABSURD!
