Fishbrain - Fishing App Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Business model disappointing. In a world where ad revenue and affiliate links seem to allow many apps and platforms to be usable without a fee but still make the developers/owners money, Fishbrain seems to not be able to do that. Instead they are starting to remove the features people got used to using and now can’t access unless a subscription is paid. For me, I live on a body of water yet my catches all default to a body of water that doesn’t exist. I was ok with the free version not showing catch locations, and even getting bodies of water wrong—after all, for that info I can understand asking a fee. I can see fishbrain users around me and in general getting fed up with investing all this data to an app that turns around and sells it to lose features they had before. To me that is also fair to have some of the features provided in exchange for that catch data. I hope the devs can come up with a better way to provide the data at a free point. Even offering a month premium free for a purchase made on the app would be nice. My advice is make an ad-based version that gives most features free and a paid version that provides all features. Otherwise, I don’t see myself or others utilizing the platform much longer. I’ve caught and logged over 200 fish this year, and if I’m not confident I’ll be able to access things I did prior, I’m going to have to find an alternative platform. That being said, I do love the app!

Fishbrain has ruined local fishing. Our area has a certain invasive species that is very popular to fish. This app has brought attention to small lakes and ponds where these fish may be found. A lot of waterways in our area are severely delicate and cannot tolerate overfishing or pollution. Guess what this app does-if you guess bring a huge influx of users with no regard for the environment to destroy the local waterways you are correct. This app describes the users perfectly because every time I ask people where they found this park the answer is always “Fishbrain”. I have cleaned up miles of lines from Fishbrain users who love to live by dominion over all things but do nothing to take care of the environment they are fishing in. If you leave a ton of line and hooks and trash in your wake how are you any different from the invasive species you are chasing. The lake I am referencing in this post was closed until a couple of years ago because of pollution. Because of the strain of overfishing and pollution it is a matter of time until they close that park to the locals again to fishing. But the Fishbrain user will not care and will be invasive in the next sensitive area until they destroy that one, too.

Intense Paywalls. I understand keeping stuff behind a paywall in order to maintain the app and expand in the future. However, I think if the “catches” section was left unlocked it would still allow for unpaid users to get a lot out of the app then allow for those who really wish to hone in on information to pay for the Pro membership and get that extra data. I think being able to let people at least see what has been caught in a water they might be interested in would be beneficial in helping more people go to these different bodies of water since they can see what is possible. From there if they wish to know the specific baits, times, weather patterns, etc. then that’s where the Pro membership would come into play. I’d happily trade seeing more ads for a free “catches” tab.

Great fishing app. This is a really nice fishing app. You can see what other people are catching. You can also see where they caught it and what they used to catch it. You will get informed on the latest information and when to fish. If your new to fishing and hope to become an angler I definitely recommend this app. I have learned so much from this app. I personally think this would be the best fishing app if you’re looking for good fishing info. You can pay for a pro version. I don’t have it but it provides you with the best fishing info you can get from what I have heard. I have fished in certain areas because of this app. For the first time a posted a catch. I found a small bridge less than a mile away and I got a catch almost immediately. You can even shop for fishing gear on this app. They sell all kinds of baits, reels, rods, and lures. If you find a nice fishing spot it will provide you with what other people have caught there and how to get to the point you want to get to. Great app!! Definitely recommend it!!👍👍

Support is bad. I’m giving this two stars because it used to be a good app. It helped me find some fishing spots when I first moved to Kansas City. If I were rating it based on how it performs now, it would be zero stars. About 3 months ago my feed became broken. It shows all of my catches at the top of my feed and then a few older posts after that. If I scroll way down I can find some new posts mixed in with mostly old posts. I have contacted support three times and I get an email back saying it’s a known issue, they are sorry and they are working on it. Then the support ticket is closed out. I’m sure it’s to satisfy a metric of how fast they close out support tickets. But the problem hasn’t been resolved. I’ve had to open three different support tickets and still no resolution. So I am done with the app. I’ll be looking for another app to connect with local anglers. Good luck if you download this.

Unresourceful with a Confusing Interface. This app, for myself having an advanced-novice to intermediate familiarity with the sport, did not come close to being helpful in any way. I was primarily looking for fishing locations in any given geography, with the types of fish there, best bait/lures to use specific to each, times of day to catch, etc.. This app offered none of that, unless I simply could not find it. If that's the case, it should definitely tell you something about how confusing the interface is to navigate and understand. It became too frustrating for me, BUT it's free to download, so won't cost you anything but your time if ya want to give it a shot and see if it's better for you.. It did seem like it may be a good social network tool in some way among fishermen...not what I needed is all... There's an app hands-down better if you're seeking the same type of information I have....good luck!

Surprisingly Amazing App!. This app is amazing! I do not know how I went fishing without it. I did not get Fishbrain pro yet, but Fishbrain is still very helpful without it! The only recommendation I have is to tell what time and what month the fish come out! Fishbrain might have this feature and I still don’t know yet! There is a bunch of good features and anglers that are happy to share their catch. I am planning a deep sea fishing trip and I am planning to log all my fish on Fishbrain! I would just like to share one more thing. I clicked on a river to see what fish live in there, and it said Mahi Mahi live in there. What? I thought Mahi Mahi (Dorado or Dolphinfish) live in saltwater. But anyways, great app! I have only logged three fish so far and many people already liked them! I love how friendly this community is! I hope this community doesn’t grow toxic, but I don’t think it will. Anyways have a great day and happy fishing! 😊

It’s alright. Honestly the fish data isn’t that accurate, it’s all drawn up by user imputed logs. Went to some “hot spots” that were absolutely terrible and some were actually good. Still need to have fishing knowledge and can’t solely rely on this app. Another thing that drives me nuts is people CAP hard about the catches. You see a hog with a scale picture weighing in at 5lbs and scroll down to see little timmys 6 inch bass that he logged as an 8lber. Other than that all the temperature and day data is amazing along with the water depth and social aspect. Only thing that could be better is if you could actually locate species. I want to trout fish but can’t find any spots because they just link every single species to every single body of water. Won’t be buying pro again but will keep using just to log my catches

Trespassing issues. Hello everyone. I would personally like to say that this app is great. Great resource of information. But. Fishbrain needs to get on the ball with private and public land. I got this app intending to find new places to fish, but I soon find out there’s tons of places I can go fish. It seems like every single pond on the face of the map is fishable. I thought there’s no way. So I go to my families very private property. Turns out this app has made their private property seem not so private. Despite all the no trespassing signs lined on the property lines. People have been fishing here. For a while now apparently. I highly recommend Fishbrain to hire people to go and talk to owners of these ponds and lakes, before you end up caught in a lawsuit. Other than this issue, again this app is great but that is a glaring issue.

Problems are not getting solved. The app itself is okay. However, I stopped using it almost two years ago. At that time, I canceled my pro subscription via Google play. A year ago, I discovered that the app still charges me for the subscription. I was trying to withdraw it from the web, but they have no such ability. I checked my Google play, and there were no active subscriptions under my account, so I sent a request to support. I got the answer if I have nothing in Google, I should not be charged. Fine. A year later, I discovered that they kept charging me. I started to write requests to support, sending screenshots of my Google account subscriptions, but the answer was, “we cannot help you, ask Google.”. Fine. I checked with Google and confirmed that I have no active subscriptions. They recommended I contact the support of the app. I sent them all the screenshots and confirmation from Google again. My problem is still not solved; I’m requesting a return of my money because I’m not approving this transaction. The only way for me is to abandon my old Google account and get a new one, but seriously?! Why should I suffer the consequences of this app architecture gap?

The app is great but…. I had fishbrain and recently I would be on fish brain go to a different app and I would go back to fishbrain and it brought me to the welcome screen and I would put my email in for the magic link so I could get back on my account and I would check my email and I would be able to get my account back and that just continued happening over and over and now I put my email in the magic link and I check my email and I don’t get a email to get back on my account. I contacted fish brain and they told me to do all these things and I’ve done them and it still won’t work so idk. And I’m putting in the right email I’m not making any errors in the spelling. Please fix this glitch or whatever FISHBRAIN!!!

Love it, but one problem. This is a great universal app for sharing your catches and fishing trips. I really enjoy using it. However, there is one inconvenience I wish they would fix. When I am on the map page looking at a fishing water, there is an option labeled “species” underneath the fishing water name. When I click on that it shows me all the species caught at that fishing water. I click on one species caught there and it gives me information about the species I clicked on and all the catches of that species worldwide. I wish instead of showing me all the catches it would only show me only the catches at the specific fishing water I am looking at. For example, I am looking at Oneida Lake, New York. I click on “species”. It gives me a list of the species caught there. One of the species is the chain pickerel. There are 64 catches of it at Oneida lake. I want to see them so I click on it. Instead, it gives me all the catches worldwide, not just at Oneida Lake. It is a really disappointing flaw. I would really appreciate it if they fixed it.

Very useful app! But is kind of inaccurate and expensive. I’ve been using this for about half a year now and it has a lot of good fishing data. It’s all sourced info on people who log catches. this is great information to see what species are at what lakes, what bait to use, and ideal weather conditions. However, the subscription is expensive, doesn’t seem worth it. I discontinued the subscription, however, I would renew it if it was half the price. Also sometimes, I will log a catch and even though I caught it at say Pardee Lake in NorCal, it would say “Kreth Ditch” making it harder to find where these catches are oftentimes. it would also be great if Fishbrain fixed that. Otherwise, the app is very resourceful and good.

Please.... Could you guys make it so we can double tap a post to like it? Then, we can swipe through our feed faster. I just think it would make it easier to like a lot more posts faster. Also, I think that the fishbrain premium thing is nonsense, you guys could just have sponsers on the feed page and we are scolling, an ad would pop up and you guys could make as much money. I really wanna see where people caught their fish, otherwise the app if useless if you have to pay for fishing catch locations. Remember this is a fishing FORECAST app which allows us to see where all the fish are. Still hands down this is a great app and I still love to go on it. We have our own opinions so don’t think that mine should be taken seriously, this is just my thought of the app.

Getting better.... Update! It has been one year since I wrote the review below and things seem to be improving (bumped from one star to three ). I am however, still seeing a ton of bass posts and I don’t even fish for bass; not following the species, or a “catch position” where they can even be caught. Then there’s the premium features: which are minimal considering the cost. I definitely recommend this app to any and all anglers and I hope things continue to improve. Still has a lot of potential! App has taken a turn for the worst, crap from other countries is showing up in my feed, have to scroll for days to even find a catch in the places I fish not to mention every species known to man is also showing up in my feed; app has potential but doesn't seem to be getting the attention it needs!

Stealing the community’s value. Fishbrain is overpriced and I refuse to keep adding value to this app for free, the insistence on paid features, despite us already providing valuable data on fishing locations and trends, is exploitative and unfair. I’m done sharing my catches with the community and hope you all do as well. It effectively takes advantage of the community's contributions without offering much in return. Users should not have to bear the burden of paying an exorbitant amount to an app that relies so heavily on their input and knowledge. I am going to a new area and can’t even get remotely close on the app and see catches even though I’ve added hundreds of catches in the past so I’m deleting all my data. Not to mention the forced ads constantly being pushed. The idea was great but it’s become a toxic platform focused solely on monetizing our value and not caring about the average user experience.

Hooked on fishing but the latest update crashes. I just started fishing at the tail end of the summer and I think I am hooked! I never knew fishing could be so much fun! But the biggest contributor to my newfound passion is Fishbrain app. Seeing fish other people have caught, especially near where I live motivates me to go out there and try to hook some myself. It is an awesome tool that builds fishing community and one that promotes fishing in general. One point lessons by the pros are pretty nice too. I wish the shop and gear selections were much bigger though. Being able to purchase some of those right through the app would be nice, especially some of the hard to find lures perhaps. The latest update crashes the app as soon as it launches. I hope that will be fixed soon. Other than that I really enjoy Fishbrain.

No faults. I wanted to start keeping a journal of location, time, wind, weather conditions, etc for every fish I caught... Well 8 people have recommended this app in the last month. Just moved to Massachusetts and have never fished here. This app... Thank you!!! I can journal my fish with just a snap of a photo and boom I’m done! And I have made friends after moving to a new side of the country to fish with, share helpful tips and tricks and locations. The best part Is I can see where I am allowed to fish! I’m from Vegas now living near Boston, MA... I didn’t even know what type of fish are where or what?!?! This app is what a guy that is 35 needed to help move to a new area and document his fishing journey, make friends, and seriously showed me where to fish with and what by checking the map and I’m a better fisherman for it!! Sounds too good to be true I know... I don’t mess around. I’m a str8 shooter. The only thing I can’t compete with is I haven’t met my wife on this app... but it’s done EVERYTHING to make my life better. Engineers, developers, staff, financial backers, and us users thank you everyone! So grateful.

Thank you, Fishbrain, but…. You need a subscription to do and see most of the cool and useful things. Fishbrain is great, (except for the expensive subscriptions,)people can share their tricks to success, it gives suggestions for bait and tools, what and where fish have been caught, and there is a list of the known fish. But, you need a subscription to do almost everything else. Also, about the bait thing, it only gives you a few and you have to pay to see the top bait suggestions. You can have a short free trial, but I’ve heard many people’s issues about how they can’t cancel their subscription and they keep getting expensive recurring bills from Fishbrain. Now, this could just be a lie or something very rare or a misunderstanding, but I heard a story about how someone ordered two hats and a shirt. The shirt came, but not the hats. Does the company need that much money? Scam (maybe) and expensive subscriptions? No offense, especially if the employees are already not paid enough. I do like how there seems to be a customer service, but still. Well, thanks for reading!

Great community, App needs work.. Fishbrain is a great community. I’ve met and fished with several local anglers and always learning new tricks. Really great group of guys and gals. The folks at Fishbrain seem to be doing a good job of keeping the app updated, but always room for improvements. Some of my recommendations to make the experience better below. - The uploader always places the photos out of the order I uploaded causing me to have to edit each time after post. - The ability to keep your fishing spots private should be easier to do. It defaults by showing your exact location. You have to edit this with each post. - The notification section is still awkward. When you make a comment it’s easy to lose track on who responded to what. This is because the comment section doesn’t load the image you commented on. - The Russian girl activity has died down a bit, but still happens from time to time. I feel they should educate users to report users trying to phish for information better. I can imagine that less tech savvy users would fall for these types of online scams. All things said, it’s still the best option for anglers that want to share their catches with the fishing community. I’ve tried the others and always came back.

Two Words: Squandered Potential. Quoting my high school guidance counselor here may be a little extreme, but this app has been around for a few years. It seems to me that instead of hardening the features that are in place, Fishbrain leadership instead has spent resources on throwing new whiz-bang crap at the wall to see what sticks. Even when something does seem to take off, it’s still barely functioning, and they just move onto the next feature. Here’s the kicker: Fishbrain thinks you should pay increasing amounts of money for the squishy, poorly-executed, less-than-secure social media fishing app. Don’t get me wrong, they have some great ideas! - The social functionality - Selecting what level of detail you’d like to share about your catches - Partnering with Navionics - And so many more! Just wait until folks connect your kids to your account and family cabin and… etc. Good luck trying to navigate a boat by the Navionics map, or even trying to find the danged boat ramp on a new lake! Nope, it’ll just show a man-made structure and you’ll be back to Google to find out if it’s a fishing pier, dam, ramp, or maybe, just maybe, that elusive place to put in at!! Nope!! Just kidding—this one’s for canoes and kayaks only. A little bit of effort to make the practical, real-world side of this app hardened, beta’d, and secure, and maybe it would be worth the cost. If it hasn’t happened now though, well, I’m not holding my breath…

Such a great resource!!. I remember I originally got a Fishbrain account just because I wanted to post pictures of my fish but most of my followers on other my social media accounts didn’t really care about it, but then once I got on the app I realized how many other great features this app has outside of just a cool local community of other anglers! I’ve been able to learn and grow more in my fishing skill set and have caught so much more fish since being on this!!! Not only can I scroll through it for a couple hours just for entertainment, but I also am learning which colors and baits are working on which spots, and what gear I should be using to get the best action with my lures! I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate this app and the improvements I’ve made because of it.

CAUTION. I loved this app and appreciate what it tries to do for the fishing community. However at the end of the day nothing good can come out of this app. I used f this app religiously and even paid for the subscription then i noticed after only 7-8 months of using and posting my catches my local fishing spots started to hold less and less fish. I also keep seeing new faces i’ve never seen. One day, a fishbrain user approached me and asked if i was the guy he’d been following. I sure was and after speaking with him, i finally realized why my local fishing spots are now dead. Didn’t matter the type of fish, i was helping everyone locate the “good” spots to catch fish and i’m sure i helped the good fishermen along with the bad ones. I know for a fact and by the amount of people who knew me and approached me i burned one spot. i possible helped to burn 3 other locations where fishing used to be great. I only use this app now to capitalize on the mistakes of others as i have made. My word of advice, don’t post your catches and if you really must, be smart with your pictures to not give away the location and do not tag where you caught the fish. This app will ultimately be the end of recreational fishing if it gets big enough. sorry fishbrain, just stating facts 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pretty good features, but buggy. Overall the app is mostly well designed with many useful features. The home screen is a social feed featuring catches - fun to read thru. Additional features include tracking the location, date, weather and gear used of your catch. Also you can pull up a map of a location and see where others caught fish, gear used, etc. You can comment and message other users/fishers. I also like that the community is generally very positive and supportive. The app unfortunately also has several significant bugs. As others have noted, the single biggest issue is their feature that identifies the location of a catch is often wildly inaccurate and limiting. It forces you to pick an inaccurate location such as a stream flowing into a main river rather than the location in the river were you actually caught the fish. This makes membership almost deceptive since you're really paying for that location info. Shame on them. Another bug is the location search results that are unsorted and put waters that are thousands of miles away near the top rather than the nearest water of the same or similar name. Lastly their support is unresponsive. They only send robo responses. It makes you feel like now that they have my money, they no longer care. They have a good foundation and now need to focus on working out the bugs and providing better service.

Nice. Enjoying the app, I’m not a social media guy but do enjoy seeing local catches. Do not regret the year membership purchase. I do have 2 questions though that are giving me fits: 1. How I log the ounces of my catch weight without doing math to see how many ounces work into a tenth of a pound? Am I missing something or is that what everyone has to do? If it is, a separate box to add ounces needs added, I don’t want to have to do that math. 2. I cannot for life of me limit my feed. In feed preferences, I have a handful of local waters selected. Nothing else, no species, no anglers, etc. But my feed is filled with catches from waters far away, even in other states on waters I’ll never fish. How do I limit my feed to only the catches in the waters I want to see and nothing else? Thanks for a cool app!

Awesome app. I personally don’t write reviews on apps but this app is amazing I’m new to the whole fishing scene and I went on my very first fishing trip (besides middle school field trip) I had no idea or clue what to get or what I needed I got this app and wrote a post the amount of helpful tips and tricks I got from people on this app lead me to catch multiple fish my first time and this app shows you a map of fishing spots people have been to and what they have caught and what they used and it’s really helpful the whole community that was built on this app is amazing I’m still getting tips and still getting helpful advice on where to fish when to fish there’s also a bite time that shows you the % of bites people get and what time which is helpful to plan a trip wether you are new to fishing or a fishing god this app is a must

Fishbrain Folks Great. I am so glad I came across Fishbrain and downloaded the app. So much great information from pros and manufacturers of great fishing gear, but mostly everyday fishermen, like you and me. And, we all know people who fish are just great, friendly people (other than one lady, trout fishing p, who thought if I caught a big trout, then there was surely a second one sitting right beside it waiting for her fly, so she’d practically drown me to steal my spot). But, Fishbrain folks are smarter and friendlier than that, and that’s why we need to get all our fishing friends to join. Guaranteed you’ll learn something, and enjoy watching people all around the world reeling in what we’re all after... that next big fish - and story to go with it. Try it out! Fishbrain!

Good besides the money grab. I absolutely love the app idea. Like a social media page just for fisherman. Love it. Get new fishing locations and tips/tricks from anglers in your area. However, they keep taking features away in an attempt to get us to pay monthly for the app. I look at Fishbrain as the Facebook of the fishing world, but if they keep taking features away unless I pay a monthly fee I will soon be deleting the app. We used to be able to see friends catch locations, fishing forecasts, and previous catches on bodies of water. But these are all pay to play features now. We used to be able to edit names of bodies of water (because there are a lot of miss-marked lakes/ponds on the map) but that is now also a paid feature. Like, you want ME to pay YOU to make YOUR app better? No thanks pal. I’m annoyed about the things they’ve taken away, but I get it, they don’t actually care about helping out anglers, this is just a paycheck for them, but if you take away any more features, I’ll be removing the app.

Great app. Some premium issues. So I got the app and thought it was great. I wanted to go fishing, so I wanted to the the exact spots where they caught the fish. To do this, I became premium, and thought I would start out with the first month free. I began trying the exclusive premium thing, but it still said I had to buy it. When I pressed, “get 1 month free the $9.99 a month” it just said I had already gotten the membership, but still didn’t give me the premium privileges. I tried shutting down the app and even my phone, but it never allowed the app to know I got premium. I got premium on 6/9/19 so I don’t know if I will get my membership tomorrow or not. Right now I’m not very angry because of the free trial, but when it starts charging and I don’t get the privileges then I’ll be mad. Otherwise, a great app. I would like to have my premium though. Please fix Fishbrain. Thank you

Good not great. I have been using this app for a long time now and it’s nice. If you wanna see what people are catching, great you can. If you wanna see where people are catching fish, great you can. The map is nice because you can easily find waters to fish. However the bathymetric maps are not the greatest. You will have big areas missing. You will have seemingly two bathymetric maps right next to each other on the same lake which make it difficult to read, but worse is that sometimes they don’t even match. Also some of the maps are outdated and need updating. So some work could be used there. The forecast and spot prediction’s are hit or miss. I think it’s something that just will be improved over time as we get more data from different catches. So overall this app is good, but not great.

2 Stars for what the app USED to be. This app used to be pretty good. It allowed you to see what fish were caught in your area, look for nearby bait shops or fishing tackle stores, gave weather forecasts with the atmospheric pressure and expected bite times, and see what species are mostly caught at a particular body of water. Best of all though, the app allowed you to zoom in on a particular area and see if there were any catches nearby, and if so what they caught. It didn’t let you see exactly where the catch was, but you could get a very general idea depending on how much you had the map zoomed in. All of this was free, and the app was so amazing that I happily paid for a one year subscription. The paid version allows for seeing exactly where people caught their particular catch. It had green pins on the map showing who caught what and where, which was great for finding good fishing spots. Now, they’ve removed all of the free features I described above and upped their price from $7-$8 a month to $13. There was zero improvement done to the app, merely blocking existing features behind a paywall and demanding a higher price because of it. Ridiculous.

So close but needs work. This app is so close to being great but struggles in a few categories. The biggest issue is how hard it is to search for a location on the map, the search bar doesn’t function very well and sometimes shows places close to the name you search that are hundreds of miles away before showing one’s actually close to you. The map itself is also very hard to navigate when swiping around. The next biggest issue is definitely the amount of mis-logged catches, I see a ton of pictures catches at a certain spot that are obviously not actually from the location they are marked at. It’s as bad as people posting pictures of sharks they caught in the ocean marked as being caught in tiny freshwater ponds, and you can see instances of this at almost every location. If these issues can be fixed it would be a great app.

Has potential but needs refinements. Paid for three months of Fishbrain pro and although it’s useful, it lacks more granular filtering options that would make it truly amazing. As it is, I can’t find a way to filter for only recent catches. Instead, it shows every public catch ever recorded in the app, making for a cluttered map that has a lot of useless information. Yes, you can filter by month, but I’m not really interested in how many people caught fish in an area two years ago— I want to see what areas are active right now. Searching for a good fishing spot is also made more difficult by the fact that marinas, tackle shops etc are rendered in the same orange color as the “recent catch” pins. A visual way of distinguishing catches made from boats versus bank catches would also improve things— if you know you’re bank fishing, for example, it’d be great to be able to filter out boat catches on the map. What would also be really great is if the app could generate a list of best fishing spots within a certain distance from you based on the density of recent catch data, which could be filtered by species and style of fishing. As it stands it’s a good app, but with these improvements it could be perfect.

Step up your game!. Want to find the best spots? How when and what technique the locals succeed with? Fish Brain is your go to. This year in search of catching my first Largemouth (I know I know but I’ve got stripers, trout, small mouth, and pickerel all covered) I was driving up to an hour each way to mediocre shore fishing locations. I don’t have a boat so it can be challenging to find a spot with good access. I get fishbrain and find there’s a small pond with 5 pound largemouth across the street from my house. Never would have known and less than a month later I’ve caught over 10 largemouth in that pond. Fish brain has saved me time and money!! Get the app pay for pro - you won’t regret it

Not great these days. It’s a great app for finding general locations but now that everyone and their brother uses this app people have started pinning their backyards like anybody can go back their legally to fish. It’s almost like people just use the app to show off what they can catch at home it’s pretty meaningless considering that’s not what the app is designed for and you look like an a**. Recently Fishbrain also updated their app to lock a majority of the pictures posted by people behind a paywall so you can’t even get a general idea of what fish are in that body of water, everything else locked behind the paywall is completely useless considering you can get the exact same service free from pressure tracking apps and a weather app. The lures people use are also locked behind a paywall which honestly is hardly a useful enough feature to be considered pay worthy. Overall just a cash grab for the ignorant. The app “fishing spots” provides twice the service in my opinion and you don’t have to pay for the actually valuable information. 3/10 app

Good app with minor issues. I like the app. It’s helpful and everything. But let me get straight to the point, don’t like typing. The new recent update? No! Don’t like the way everything is set up. The older version looks better. Your main page is like in categories instead of just a straight up feed. Always gotta hit the “see more” option. It’s not cool. And another thing is the statistics. Needs more to it. More filters and stuff like that. Only shows a few fish names then says other and there’s no way to change what it’s saying. Just auto changes whenever you catch those specific species. But you won’t know what the “other” is talking about. And last thing is when you post a fish, it needs to be asking how many did you catch and then adds that to the stats. I could catch 3 cats in one post but only counts as 1 catch. And the app is a little expensive just to get more info that could not be so accurate. But idk. Haven’t tested that out.

I like the old Fishbrain better. I used to love this app! It is such a useful app to someone fishing in an unfamiliar location! I noticed that there is a premium version and that you had to pay for it to see things such as common baits with species- no big deal! Then I noticed that you have to have the premium to view catches in certain locations on a map now- thats pretty annoying! It my opinion, this renders the app pretty useless at this point. The fact that you have to pay $13 a month for data that is being reported by other people is a little absurd to me! This app is making money off of information that I am feeding it by reporting the fish that I catch, and that tempts me to remove my fishing log from the app knowing that. I feel like if you wanna make money off of the app while still being fair to the people who make it possible, you need to make it a one-time, upfront payment!

Used to love this app. I used to absolutely love this app being a 16 year old kid. I would go to south carolina and use it to help me in a location I didnt know where to fish. I cant afford a big monthly or yearly pay but the free version was nice it let u see catches near by. and see what their catching and thats all I needed. But nowadays they removed all that u have to pay 70! dollars a year just to see catches and to even have a marker on ur screen. Idc what anyone says this company is just a money grab. they would rather make money then helping a fishing community who just needs help finding spots. it used to be the best app to ever exist their wasnt a app like it because others made u pay for the catches log and to see what they caught and etc. but now they are just like the other silly little fishing apps. Im moving on and praying someday someone makes a app for fishing like fishbrain thats free for the fishing community. I just might make one just to run fish-brain out for their money grab mindset. If the developers needed money they could have went about it in a different way like ads or running sponsorships but now this company is slowly going to rot into a little company nobody cares about. I hope fishbrain can make a turn one day but until now 1 star

Great app but terrible users!. I’ve never reviewed any apps or commented and I know that this is a long shot but ever time I open this app I get extremely aggravated! Anglers continue to keep short fish and out pictures up! This is in no way the fault of fish brain but as anglers who love fishing something needs to be done! I think that something needs to be done to advertise the limits in areas! Although this would not stop poaching it would help make people more aware of the legal limits ( size and amount)! The app is awesome but the people using it often do not follow the rules! Today I saw a fluke pictured with a measuring tape in the picture! The fluke wasn’t even close to being a keeper, it was at least 5 inches off! I really hope that someone in Fishbrain sees this and understands how big of a problem it is and hoping that we can attempt to fix people’s perception that keeping short fish is ok! Thank you for your time and I hope that changes will come!

Dubious usability. The map is unreadable except at high zoom level. You can’t really tell where anything is when map displays more than a 25 mi.² area. It shows highways, but nothing labeled unless you zoom in closely. Perversely, larger cities are not labeled except at tight zoom, while small town labels are displayed at wider zoom. E.g., Harrisburg, the Pennsylvania state capital, is a useful reference point; unless you are from the area, Camp Hill is not. Even the streams are hard to identify on the map without tight zoom. The stream labels are odd, often labeling a feeder stream where it meets a larger stream. Some of the labels appear to be just plain wrong. For example, Codorus creek in Pennsylvania at one point is labeled Porter Creek. Generally the app is harder to use and it needs to be. Some decent info, but for trout fishing streams there are better alternatives.

Useful app, okay community, two stars.. I thought this would be an app for just finding fishing spots and identifying fish. Well, it also has a social aspect. I thought since it wasn’t the biggest community, it wouldn’t have THAT MANY trolls. I was so wrong. I was browsing other people’s catches, and I noticed some random guy just commented “fake” in some other person’s post. So I just asked how. The person who accused the other guy, just said “photoshop.” I just said, “well, do you have proof?” And they just said “I saw this same photo but an African American person caught the fish instead.” I was like “okay, but next time you spot a fake, provide proof. I’m gonna look into it.” I got a notification as I browsed google. It was the same guy. They had sent me “proof,” aka a racist photoshopped image of an African American (racist as in a huge mouth, almost pitch black skin and tiny eyes). The guy had just trolled me, not to mention that they were racist. For normal trolls, I would rate an app 3 stars, after a lot of trolling. However, since this was a racist troll, I’m rating this app two stars. The post was just a normal post. Otherwise, I liked this app, but just a few suggestions-pls make it so ur able to delete ur comments. I might continue using this app, but just the features that actually help you with fishing. These days, it’s hard to find an app that doesn’t have posting involved.

I love this app but.... Unfortunately their catch data is near worthless given the fact you’re forced to pick from a few predetermined fishing locations. How these locations are picked, I have no idea, some spots make sense, some don’t. Others appear to be user submitted (spelling and capitalization errors) but there’s no where in the app to do so. When you log a catch it forces you to select one of a few nearby fishing “spots” which often are nowhere near you, you can leave it blank but by default it’ll just pick the closest one for you. This may not seem like a huge issue but it ends up completely screwing any catch data or fish forecasts. I mean the top fish for almost every salt water spot around here is large mouth bass, and you’ve got fish caught 5-10 miles away from where they’re marked. If fish brain just added the ability to create a new fishing “spot” this issue could be almost completely avoided. You can just let the community moderate it too. Believe me no one like incorrect data. Update: !!!!Awesome feedback

For the Record I love Fish Brain but..... Fish brain has been advertising how they have a new store and you can purchase items from their site. I have taken the liberty of doing exactly that. While I will say I am totally satisfied with the Fishbrain fishing shirt that I received. I am completely unsatisfied with the customer service or the lack there of. I purchased a shirt and two hats for $50 and only received the shirt. $30 went to fish brain charity I’m assuming because I still haven’t seen it and no one has any answers. They just keep telling me they’re going to get back to me. But they never do. I would suggest being mindful about spending money on their site. They don’t seem to help with any lost items or money that’s been spent already. It drives me mad because I still use the site and enjoy the benefits of fish brain. But it’s getting upsetting because if you can’t handle a $50 order then I’m never going to drop a $500 order. Just give me my hat or my money already. Because to me this is no different than stealing. I’m sure they don’t want that reputation.

Amazing app. This is an amazing app for a fisherman or woman but during quarantine I fell that Fishbrain pro should be free there are no problems except sometimes it will glitch and not show your messages or it will log you out and it takes a while to log back in I got logged out from closing the app then it took like 25 minutes to log back in over all five star app some kinks yes but it’s nothing this amazing apps delvopers can’t fix and if you seen some of the giants people catch you’ll wanna travel ASAP to get to that spot and fish straight away and get on some big fish and get a nice one and get good keepers this is amazing honestly I would travel to pine lake because of one of the fish that someone caught I would get this

Want to love, but…. Does a lot of things right. Even the free version provides a lot of information from (what seems to be) a larger community than the main competitor (which is free w/ ads). Overall look/feel is also more polished. That said, if utilizing as a detailed personal fishing log, this app is severely handicapped by the inability to add your own gear that is missing from the database. There is a webform where you can submit requests for gear to be added, but in my experience, those requests do not get added, and even if they did, the process is still too tedious. The FAQ has stated for the last few years at least, that they are working on method for the user to add missing gear, but as of yet, no evident progress on that front. Landscape mode for the iPad app is also an odd omission, however one that the competition has also neglected. Potential is there for this to be the one fishing app to rule them all, but some glaring shortfalls hold it back.

Map Issue. This app is a great resource for anglers like myself. It has a lot to offer and makes fishing a whole lot easier. However, there is a new issue that has recently surfaced that can be quite frustrating. This issue is with the map. The map interface is working and displaying as intended, however, searching for a location will place the camera at a random location in the Atlantic under Africa, no matter the fishing water. Also, if you click on a location marked in another angler’s post and then click the map where the name of the water is listed, it will send to you to the same exact spot. The Directions feature is also bugged, saying that the desired location of any fishing water is “nil or invalid.” A detailed look into this issue would be much appreciated as I find the map feature to be a valuable tool. Thank you.

Great app but could use some improvement.. Love this app and on it nearly everyday as i love to see how my local fishing community is doing out there on the water, it's a great way to get basically daily updates on local fishing reports. The only thing i could think of that i would like them to improve on is the Gear feature. I think its a great idea and could help a lot of new fishermen's out there but it needs work. Gear selection is not up to date on the newer models and even lacking on some of the popular older stuff. Wish they’d make it easier to use and more detailed such as letting us put in what length, weight and action our rods are, same for reels and other stuff.

Best fishing app ever. To the developers who created this app thank you for once I can finally share my fish pics with other people and not just my friends, but there’s just one Insey Wincey problem I see a bunch of people on here swearing now I’ve heard it before I’m 11 now I’m gonna hear it in a lot in my life it’s just if someone could just take care of that problem that would be so nice because this app is a nice kind hearted app, but my review isn’t about that stuff because I like it if somebody gets in an argument in the comments it detects it and make sure that that one person and the other person don’t collide again that’s all I have to say about this app but I have one more thing beautiful creation!

Useful but limited. I used this app before you had to pay to see photos. Use to be able to see what fish people were catching and the day it was posted. You could see photos from many years ago. Now you have to pay to see which I do not like. But overall is useful. Gives you an idea of what fish are being caught and what bait was being used. Being able to see photos was the biggest advantage though to me as you can make sure it is the area your looking at though such as a pier. You can pay to see the baits that were used but I never did. Probably a 5 star when u can see what bait was used but not that u have to pay for photos knocks it down to three stars to me. Was four stars before photos were paywalled.

Fish On ———<*(((((((((>< :-). Fishbrain is the best. I wish I had known about this Awesome App before, I would have been a member years ago. All the fantastic pictures from all ages. And the great information you get, locations, gear, bait, tackle. I look forward to being a member every day. I can’t wait to go get back on the water. I am hoping next season to get a 15-17 ft boat with an outboard motor maybe 25 Hp. I have always wanted one. But don’t have the money for it. Looking for a used one with a trailer. May be a member knows of one for sale in the CT area. I will end with the Fisherman’s Prayer I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast. I then most humbly pray: When in the Lords Great landing net and Peacefully Asleep that in His mercy I be judged Big enough to Keep. Wind in your sails, tight lines and Fish on. ————<*((()()(()))(((>< :-)

My time using fish brain. I was thinking about an app that works exactly like fish brain and then I found fish brain gives me an idea on what to fish where to go fresh and salt water great app for keen fishing people five stars from me.

The fish’s brain lol. I’ve only been using it as a non-paying user, but it’s so far an excellent way for me to feel jealousy and excitement with every new notification that comes in 😊 Great app

A lure ring. This app could and should be an absolutely enormous facility for the fishing community. Apart from being a bit too expensive for most ‘casual’ anglers the whole model is highly polished and truly professional. Developer, a truly awesome effort however you are missing an extremely good and lucrative marketing opportunity here so employ a proven internet marketing Agency.

Neat app, good support too. I’ve just downloaded this app and am finding heaps of great information and help when it comes to fishing. I submitted a support request to identify a fish and got a prompt response with the id of the fish. Turns out the fish we have been catching for years, but throwing them back are actually a decent fish to eat!

Can’t post photos. The app is great but the only problem for me is when I try to post I add the photos and post it but then there are no photos on my post and it also says error when I try to change profile pic

Excellent app. Great free app. NOT WORTH the $$$$ For the premium annual subscription version. Too costly for me to justify paying for the annual subscription. Just ridiculous pricing. I like the free version and the free version is well worth the download and use. But not the paid version. Only 4 out of 5 because of the annual subscription costs of the full version.

Fishbrain is awesome. Fishbrain is a really good app because you can see what’s people have been catching lately although there is a downside people from anywhere can text you at anytime but besides that it’s a great app🐟👍🏾😎

11/10. I use Fishbrain only when I am in Harvey bay and that’s 4 times a year and just to be using it only 4 times it’s still awesome But I wish that you could see people’s locations where they caught a fish with out needing fish brain pro (which you have to pay for) From a person

Brilliant app but asking for too much money. Great for what it is but they are missing out on a lot of new users with this asking price. I have told heaps of people about this app and they think its brilliant until I mention the price...

Will never go home without a bag limit. Great app, allows for so much information on location, equipment, bait, blog with mates. Well designed. Just need to update the bait options more often. Well built and great for the amateur to pro fisho.

Mr fish. I haven’t been on here long, but I think this is a great app, helps a lot knowing what’s biting, when, where, how,all information helps when chasing a feed or just catch and release,Cheers Carlos.

Love this app but needs a few fixes. This app is great but when you go to a location and then look at species I think when you tap on a specific fish it should take you to the ones caught at that place not all of that species

Fishbrain App. I have tried a few different fishing apps and this seems to be the best by far, even the free version. So simple to use, to the point factors from catches, motivating to see people catching on those days where fishing are not jumping into your boat or bucket. Love it!!!!!!

Fishbrain fun. What a great way to share fishing adventures and catches. Seeing other people’s notifications and catches motivates me to make time to get out there with rod and line. Even if I can’t, then I can be amazed by what others are catching. Aren’t we blessed with wonderful waterways. Let’s all do our bit to look after them. K

Great App. Solid App, wish they would give maybe 2 or 3 fish predictions free rather than just one. Notifications are pretty annoying as you have to click on each one otherwise they just stay there. But its a great app 👌

Would give it 5 Stars but.... Please make the database of equipment (lures rods ect) downloadable to the app. Constantly scrolling down to the brand you want and waiting for it to refresh is painful. If there’s an update allow that to be caches until you do the next app update.

Great fishing version of Instagram!!!!. This is a great app for local fishing! You can see what people have caught in different creeks and rivers, see the forecast of your favourite fishing, upload your catches, and is a very handy app in general. If you like fishing, you MUST get Fishbrain!!!

Good fisho app. Really good app, has everything you would need and really helps for beginners like me, just don’t enjoy paying a subscription, would much rather pay a single amount for the app. Other than that mint app 👌

iPhone 11 Pro Max 14.4.2. Looks like a great app I have latest software but Bitetime & Weather programs will not work? Contacted support who tried to help but had no answers as to why these two important parts of the app wont work and tried uninstalling, clearing cache, but this did not resolve problem either so very disappointed and have had to unsubscribe from the Pro Version and find another app that works

Great app except. App is great does everything it says it does. Premium isn’t too bad. 4/5 blue stars Only problem I have is every notification once checked and viewed in app continues to add up on home screen.

Omg. This app is just amazing you get to see other people catch finished you can even post your own pictures of the fish I love fishing so yeah hope everyone enjoys bye

Great App. Great App, really has helped me and my daughter get up and running in this country. So many different species than what we would have been used to back home in Ireland. Keep up the good work.

Ok. Well, I had this app for a month and then somehow, after trailing everything for fee for 24 hours, my posts got deleted. I was basically starting from scratch. Fast forward 2 weeks, and it asked me to log in, I never logged out, and all of a sudden NO posts. Asking me to start again. Uninstalled this app.

Great App. Lots of great info. You get to know what’s biting, the current best bait for whatever species and you get to know where whatever species is currently biting. You get to connect with other anglers and overall a good app.

Fish brain review. Very good everyone on Fishbrain is up for a chat an gives you advice you get to see all the different types of fish all round the world and what bait they are using

Nice app!!!. By far the best community fishing application! I just have one feature suggestion, that we can publicly show that we are actively fishing, not only does it show we are fishing but where we are fishing. So basically we can see if people are fishing and can message them if they are catching anything. But please don’t let this be a premium only feature I beg you!!!

Great app. Awesome app would be better if you could see the exact position of a catch without paying but overall really good

Fish brain review. Awesome app for local fisherman to post photos of there catch. You can also speak with people in your area to find out different techniques people are using to catch the species your after. I would definitely recommend it to friends 👍🏽 from me

Personally I think that the subscription is 2 expensive. The app I highly recommend but to get to most of the features you have to pay and I think that $100 a year is a bit expensive. I know that a lot of these features are worth it but I know with my current financial situation I would struggle to get $100 a year.

Fishbrain. Fishbrain is very useful for when you want to fish new places and even the spots you’ve been to before. It tells you what lures and baits to youse what time the fish are biting and you can see what your friends catch

Cool. Easy way to see what’s happening, but missing the ability to locate unknown buddies living near each other who may want to join forces.

What an incredible app this is.. It’s amazing how it automatically can tell where you are and pulls up posts from that area for you to inspect. Fantastic, and it will only improve with the more people who post their information and pictures of their catches.

Really good. I would recommend this to everyone it is a really friendly and positive community. It is really helpful and you can ask each other questions about how they caught there fish. I really like it and recommend it

Subscription costs are insane.. I thought this app would have been perfect, because when I have the time to go fishing, it might be handy to know if any of the spots close to me are biting or not, which gear to take etc, but I just simply can not afford the crazy prices for a subscription to an app that isn’t even guaranteed to have active fishermen in my area. I go fishing a maximum of 4 times a year. I would spend less on bait and gear than I was expected to pay for a yearly pass. I’ll monitor Facebook and send a few texts to friends who fish regularly and find out that way.

👍🏽. I gave this a five star because fishing is the best and this is the only app with a fishing social media the only thing I don’t like is that you have to pay to see all fishing spots but I get it they deserve some money 👍🏽👍🏽

Great app. Love this app.. comes with so many amazing features I love keeping log of all my catches and seeing what others have caught! Super helpful when looking for new spots as well Tight lines!

Fantastic fishing helper. This app not only trophies your fish with ease but can help you by seeing what others have done to get there catches. The only thing I'd like added is to allow you to type in custom gear as they don't have every thing.

Awesome. Love this app it’s great better than any other social media if you love fishing. Must have for any angler or just someone starting out show you some good places gear used etc I love this app 😀

Good app but some disappointing bits. Well I believe you should t have to pay for information on where the fish are biting they lure you in with a promise you’ll get the exact location of where the fish was caught but it’s not even close it gives you a general location nothing is precise. Also thier’s still unwanted posts from the app designers thy you cannot get rid of its nice to see so many keen fishos but I’d keep my money and use facebook to join people for fishing trips

Awesome. Great app don’t have to pay, there is a pro tho. anyways overall it’s a great app that tells you what everyone around is catching and lots more fun.

Fish brain review. Fish brain is just like Instagram for anglers.i could just post my catches on instagram. I like it though because I get real opinions from people who can actually fish. I would like to not have to pay for premium to access tide tables and when to fish. Other than that it is good for locating your next fishing adventure.

In the know. Love the app. Keeps me posted on what’s going on locally and other. Connects you in to others and helps you make connections with like minded people. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work

Some secrets are best kept. I like this app, I wish people would keep secret locations to themselves though. I have learned of many fishing spots through this app that Could not sustain the fish population once everyone finds out about them. I have a local bream fishery in my home town that very few people knew about and since the location was disclosed on this app, people fish there everyday and most the people who fish there now probably have no idea how fragile that fishery is, (black bream can take 15-25 years to grow to a legal size depending on the water temperature and their diet)Your location marks should be area codes rather than exact locations. The claim is that this app helps gather data to help the fisheries but lets not inadvertently obliterate fish populations in the name of data.

Nice and helpful app!. Can’t afford the montly but overall very good app. you can already use the basic information like the tides, temperature, where most other fishers caught fishes. Good for beginners to experts. Good social platform too. Rating 5 stars

Very helpful. Fishbrain allows me to find out where I need to go to catch some fish. I can see what baits and techniques are working at what time and what place. I find the app very useful:) 👍👍👍👍👍

Great app. Absolutely love the app. Fantastic insight on all the areas around the bay for fishing. Only thing that’s leaving it a 4 star instead of 5 is the price of the premium. 10$ should be like 6$ a month I would say. Not many people fish that often and it’s a waste being that expensive for fishing a few times a month. But I LOOOOOVE this app!!!

Great stuff. Really enjoy using the app guys, the bitetime feature is super helpful and it’s awesome being able to see what has been caught before at certain locations! Awesome work!

Fishbrain review. Fishbrain allows me too communicate and interact with freinds and fellow fishermen find new baits to try out and new spots i rate it 5/5 one of the best fishing apps out there that lets you do a number of things from gps location on fishing spots to finding new fishing gear

New To Fishbrain. I am an amateur angler in Australia and love our River systems to fish as that is the closest water to where we live, but what is happening in the U.S. and some deep sea not in Aussie gives me no information at all to go on! It is Cod Season here at the moment and l am really enjoying the different posts coming through. The Admin on this site has been a great help in understanding the site, l look forward to the updates hence changing the star rating. Thanks.

Awesome!!!!. I never would have thought there would be a social media for fishing, I love it!! As a keen fisherman I love seeing everyone post their most recent catches and sharing the love to your catch when you post it. Awesome app, would highly recommend

FIX THIS. I can not even change my profile picture on the app like fix it it stupid

Bad. Don’t waste your time

Not much on the free version anymore. They keep removing content off of the free version, with one of the latest updates you can’t even see more than 15 pictures of past catches while you were able to before on the free version. Would have given it more than 3 stars but majority of the content you need to pay for.

Pretty good but very pricy. It’s is an amazing app but for people that don’t want to spend money it’s not that good because it’s fairly expensive but otherwise it’s a very good app

Don’t get. You can’t do anything without buying pro don’t recommend

Good app but. Why can’t I edit my user name

Used to be good. I used to use the app quite a bit a few years ago and it was pretty good. Didn’t do much fishing the last couple of years so I haven’t used it but recently have been getting back into it. I came back to this app only to find that the majority of the features I use now are only available with a premium subscription. A subscription that costs much more than these features are worth. Oh well, I guess I’ll be tracking tides myself and a map to determine when and where I’ll be fishing now. Sad to see this app follow the path of common greed but somehow I’m not surprised.

Waste of download space. As an avid angler, I used to enjoy this app. At this point, unless you’re willing to cough up $100, this app is totally useless. As a long standing user, the app is now a waste of space….delete!

You have to pay. It’s no good anymore you have to pay money to see what species of fish are in what waters, plus there’s a lot of rude people who can’t handle being wrong.

No good. This app is confusing. The feed shows nothing new lately and any posts I put up gets zero likes or comments where as someone will post a dusty old rod and get 80 likes. Perhaps the app is not working with my cell. Deleted, there’s way better groups out there just for my local areas.

Downloading/Signup. It takes forever to login with your email, idk why that is but yeah. Fix this

Not bad. Still use but like and use fishing spots more because its the same as fish brain pro but you dont have have to pay to get the upgrades and its easier to add gear

Awesome. Good app but the subscription thing is kinda annoying

Toxic community. This is a great app an all but some of the people on here are quite homophobic/ transphobic and racist. The “groups” are where the worst of it is. I joined an LGBT+ fishing group. All the posts were super transphobic and homophobic unfortunately. Fish brain needs to pay attention to that and ban those people.

Sad excuse. They are utilizing information that is provide by users to create content and then charging a premium to get it back. Not impressed.

Great app. You should show where the best spots for a species are in your area

0 stars. Was fun until it deleted my account for no reason. I go to make a new one with my name UnVaxed4454 and they cancel me for haveing to conservative of a name. They made it so I cannot post, like, view, and my friends tried to search me up but I would never come up. Super dumb way to liberal and u can barely do anything with out buying pro and they constantly bombard you with adds.

Horrible. Toxic and hateful people everywhere, must pay to use anything now, the hate groups all over this app need to be stopped!!!

Great App. Great app, notification sound can be thought as something else other then a drag slipping, can be embarrassing when in public because it sound like you farted. Other than that, it has helped me develop in my fishing skills greatly.

They want your money sooo bad. More and more basic features disappearing. Have to pay to see all catches at one spot now. Sad

Wifi. They need to make it where you can use it when using data and not just wifi

Useless Without Premium. Seriously since when do you need premium to view what people have caught in lakes ??? That’s crazy what’s even the point ??

Expensive. I liked the app but just to expensive for me now.

Pretty bad. Tried going fishing today tried 5 different spots and every single one of them were on private property horrible day thanks to this app

Five star review. I think Fishbrain is a great idea to show other fishermen, who aren’t as experienced as others to get into fishing and more confident with new lures in new body of waters that’s why I love Fishbrain. you can show and guide others to becoming better fishers and that’s why I gave it a five star review!!!!!!🎣👌🏻👍

Great app. Awesome app. Recommend it to all hardcore anglers

Bruh. Someone caught a great white shark in Baden creek

Get this. If you like sharing your pictures of fish this is for ya

Payment requires. Not a good app for fishing, this requires a payment

Great app. 10/10 would recommend

Love the app but. It’s a great app but you need to allow more access to things without pro

Brain. Awesome app!

Warning!. This app is a pedohile ring that is run by gangs and police. Use caution or don’t use it.

I love it , great app!. I like it that you can see where anglers caught there fish near you.

*FIX IT*. I’m sure this app is great once you can actually get into it. But error code 21 likes to keep you from doing so, i had previously made my account through their website and now I can’t login on the app with the same account that I used my primary email for, might have to go check out that 5 star rated app

Too much spam. Spammed tf out of my email address. I personally won’t purchase anything from a company that uses my email address for mass spam.

They keep making basic features premium. I’m not going to buy premium. The more features you remove from the free version the more I just want to delete the app.

not that good. all i wish is that you could see what gear people used for free cuz i spent all my money at basspro shop

Save your money. I subscribed for a month only for depth contours and it doesn’t work at all…. Pretty bummed out

Awesome App For Logging Catches. I use this app on I’m almost daily basis. I snap a pic and when I upload it at home it uses the exact location data and time for the photo and will show you all your catches on a map. It will even show you what bait you’re using at the time. Awesome app.

Great App. Too much for the pro version. If you want more People signing up. Drop the price by half.

Used to be good. This used to be a good app , the free version gave you some info however now you literally can’t access a thing without having to pay for it . Unless ur willing to pay the monthly cost that’s gotten bigger in the past 2 years … the apps now useless

The people. After like two of year of using the app y’all are like taking the fish too professionally and seriously. made me don’t feel like posting my catch at all. Literally y’all are grownup

Looks promising... but inaccurate. The app looks rather promising, but the locations of all the fishing spots in my area are not accurate and in some cases are almost off by 1km from where the actual bodies of water are. Maybe these would show more accurately if I paid for the subscription they expect you to fork out for, but checking locations in the states they appear to be accurate so clearly this is an issue with their MapBox data... seems like a bit of a scam to be asking users to pay for a subscription to use/access notes/waypoints they add for personal use. Since I’m mainly using this to find better spots to fish I see no need to pay their exorbitant fees for a subscription. Maybe if the GPS data was more accurate I’d have more faith and be interested in purchasing a subscription but as it stands I’m rather weary about forking over money to support a basically user/community driven app.

Pay to see. Added stupid feature so you have to pay to see catches now. Basically makes it a paid app

Free version is useless. No matter what you need - you have to pay, $100/year is serious money

Updates make it worse. Less and less info is available on this app. Before you could see generally what fish are caught in which lakes, now they are using user uploaded data, completely putting it behind a paywall for anyone else tk view. I have removed all my catches from this app before deleting. Even the bite time isn’t accurate, just use an actual solunar calendar

0 free features. Any other free alternatives? Just need some basic info, I only go fishing a handful of times a summer so can’t justify paying $100.

Useless after update. Useless app now after update, unless you buy pro . I understand having a paid subscription for extra features. But your free version officially has no features and is useless.

👍. Great app!

One important minuscule feature is in need!. Great app, I am a long time fishbrain user as well as subscriber to fishbrain pro. The only problem I have with the app holding it back from a major assistance is not being able to see a list of the waters/locations you follow. The only way you can come across followed waters is by seeing when catches are posted on that body of water. If someone is adding these locations to the follow list for the method of saving them to visit once again, they are forced to memorize it or write it down in notes. Just a notion to think of adding for the app, as it would make fishbrain all the more of a better fishing application.

Awesome App!!!. At first I had some trouble verifying my account and proving that I’m not a robot, but after that was all figured out it is an awesome app. If you are a fellow angler you NEED to get this app. It is awesome, a social network app for fisherman where you can post and log your catches, find locations where people are catching fish, what gear they were using, shop for fishing tackle, and so much more without having to pay for Fishbrain Pro. With Pro you can see weather conditions, exact locations of where people caught their fish, and other stuff.

Ok for sharing experiences. It’s a cool app to look at what others caught or ask for advice, but honestly, I’ve seen more pictures tagged at the wrong location than right ones. I’m not sure developers have been made aware of this. If the photo gets tagged from where it is uploaded rather than from where it was taken, I can kind of see where the problem is. Perfect example: there’s at least 300 photos tagged at “Church at the Cross pond” in Grapevine, TX. None are from that pond. I was there last week. Pics look nothing like the actual pond. Generations Park in Bedford, Tx is another notorious one.

I’d give it a full 5 stars but...... Only allows you to upload only three photos at one time. Which in tail means you need to upload four or more separate times like what gives? Also to use the features it seems quite steep for very little to offer. The basic features are nice and with other apps or online websites you can get all that info for free if you know where to look and people to ask. So make extra features included in free version then then more higher end features like the exact location for a price. If app was like a 1.99 I’d probably pay that for each device and recommend to a friend highly.

Shocked. So I am new at this hole fishing stuff. First thing any one does is look stuff up to learn so you can feel like a total idiot fish time out. Well I came across this app. So I downloaded it and figured I would give it a try. Come to find out it is a very well used app in the 757 area. I was shocked on how many people use and how often they use it. The only thing I don’t like is the prime upgrade. Mainly because of the price. For someone who fishes every day I can see how it is very very useful and worth the money. But someone like me who fishes once maybe twice a week I just can really justified spending the money for it. And to be fair I have not try the free trail yet. I’m scared if I do I will end up buying the membership 😂

Best fishing app I have found. Really like this app. I just moved to a new state and am trying find new spots and at the same time branching out and fishing new kinds of fish I don’t have much experience fishing for. This app provides helpful details like bite time, most popular lures and bates used, and types of fish you will find at location. Really helpful for getting started in a new place with new types of fish. I think the paid for part of the app is a bit pricey, but the free version has been really helpful and fun to use.

Toxic app. This is app is good but like others it has stupid immature toxic people on it that love nothing more than to take time out of their miserable pathetic lives to comment toxicity on your post. And the developers don’t ban these people they let them run around and continue to be toxic and use phrases like “kill your self “ all the time. On top of that there is nothing being done about the people posting illegal catches ie fish being harvested out of season. I’ve seen this numerous time and when I report it nothing gets done. That Info should be passed on to the DCNR or Fish and boat or fish and wildlife depending on the state and this people should punished for violating the law. Needless to say I will never come back to this garbage app until a system is put in place to deal with the toxic community on this worthless app.

Don't reveal or swipe fishing spots. Mixed emotions about this app. It is kind of neat to bring fishermen together, however we're inherently competetive so that's the catch, so to speak. If you mark your catches as *public*, your spot will assuredly have a couple of shiny new fisherman there next time you fish there, along with litter, discarded line, et cetera. And if you mark it as *competetive* or *private*, the Fishbrain algorithms bury it and no one sees it. This app also tends to make people overfish, so they can take their pics with their catches so they can appear online to be keeping up with the Joneses. I recommend it, but don't live or die by it and post once a month instead of daily. And don't post your spots and don't swipe spots.

Oh, Man! I LOVE This App. This is perhaps the greatest app ever! As an avid outdoorsman, it's wonderful to have an app that a) is based on this one set of activities and b) WORKS! It's easy to find friends, interact with people both near you and on the other side of the planet, and share beneficial info while showcasing what you love! Facebook is garbage. Instagram is just like Facebook. I'm doing what I can to get my friends to leave those horrid apps and come over to Fishbrain! To the Devs: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! The ONLY thing that might make it better is some kind of sub-forums for things like hunting IPSC, bow hunting, etc. You guys are awesome!!

Good app but... The app is a great app that allows you to connect with strictly other fisherman and share great fishing locations along with tips. But this issue I’ve had with them was that when you signed up you get a free trial great! Then after the trial there is a monthly Premium. I can’t quote the price but I know it’s affordable and reasonable. But when I go to check my bank account I was surprised to see that they took a full years worth for the amount of $82 and some change. I was pretty upset by that cause now I have to deal with the usual inconvenience for the time it takes my money to reach my account. Like I said great app but I didn’t like how they instantly grabbed for just short of $100 dollars when I thought there was gonna be monthly cost.

I like it but. I like this app a lot and use it daily, but sometimes I randomly get logged out and I can’t log back it. It says to enter email, and I do and have the app send me an email, and it says “Oops sorry we had an issue logging you in”. And then when I try to log in using email and password, it says the same thing. I tried re-downloading app, still won’t work. Usually 24 hours later it resolves itself and automatically logs me back in, but it’s still annoying when I want to share my catches or look at other catches and I can’t log in.

Great app but expensive. A perfect idea for a fishing app! However, since it’s essentially Instagram meets fishing fanatics, the paid version is only as good as the number of people who use it. That means you are seriously overpaying and YOU are the product they are delivering. While their pricing strategy needs some work, their app doesn’t. The app is fantastic and I find myself browsing the local catches and seeing what gear people use. Drop the premium content (or offer for less than $5) and this is a 5 star app for sure. Still worth the download, just not the premium version...

Do not use there store. Addition oil charges after my invoice received.. They charged me an extra 20 bucks after I accepted the final invoice. RIPOFF. Your information is not safe with fishbrain, as they will charge you extra after the fact. My 32 dollar invoice shows over a 50 dollar charge on my account. FISHBRAIN should be ashamed at their behavior. Customer service NON EXISTENT. Horrible at everything thus far. UPDATE- Fishbrain replied and thinks this is my fault. What a joke of a company. My invoice jumps over 20 dollars after I accept the charge with the added 2 dollar tax. Fishbrain this is for you - GROW UP. Blame the customer constantly and you straight up lie and steal from us. Horrible platform to purchase anything, even an upgraded membership is a nightmare to deal with. You should be ashamed for your actions fishbrain! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM ON THIS APP.

Loved Fishbrain for a While Now. Loved Fishbrain for a while now. It’s improved over time however with the new updates I’d like some things such as the option to temporarily disable my profile when I’m not active, or being able to have a search option when I’m scrolling through my followers instead of having to scroll through looking for someone who’s following me. A search bar in the followers portion of my profile would help tremendously. And most importantly please change the notification options so I can choose what notifications I receive. I do not want to be notified EVERY TIME someone I follow catches something. There is no option in the notification settings of this app to change that.

The best app I’ve ever installed and that’s saying a lot. Not only have the developers done an incredible job with the app itself, the community which is using it is phenomenal. No egos, no drama or hate.. it really is a pleasure to use this tool. I can mark and find the exact spot where fish have been caught, I know when and where others have caught a given species of fish, I can see a news feed of others catches. I can follow or unfollow anyone I choose and the messaging feature works perfectly. No lag, no weird keyboard to use, no missing messages..

One of my favorite apps but just one thing I would like changed.. Love the app, I use it to log all my catches and to help me find fishing spots in my area. Though there is one thing that would be nice to be changed. Where you put the weight for the fish you caught, there is no way to change it to ounces and because I’m young I have trouble calculating the numbers. So it would make it a lot easier, especially for me for you to be able to change it from pounds to ounces. But otherwise it’s an amazing app!

Great app but fishbrain pro should be free. I don’t know how you would do it but maybe implement a instagram type feed ad or instagram like story ads. Both are non invasive to your enjoyment of the app but allow all users to benefit from fishbrain pro and help improve our fishing in general. Just a suggestion, I don’t really expect anything to happen but would love to not have to spend 10 bucks a month just to see things I could look up or find in different apps. Its more convenient to have all your fishing info in one place on a great app like this and i’m sure it’d draw more users to not have such high priced in app purchases

Troll-littered = bad data!. Great idea in concept. But the inherent flaw in this app is that everything is based on information reported or shared by individual users. And the problem is that (as anyone could probably guess) the app is littered with trolls and liars. Just check the leaderboards for virtually every single body of water and it will become obvious very quickly. I did not pay for the pro version, nor will I because of this flaw. I wouldn’t want to pay that large an amount per year for info I can’t fully trust anyway. Maybe the info from good, honest users would outweigh the trolls so that the heatmaps, bait statistics, etc, would actually be helpful. But I’m not willing to pay that much to find out!

Notifications. The app is great. It’s like Instagram but for fish only, and the locations feature and fish species detection is amazing. But the stupid notifications never go away. I’ll see all my notifications in the app, but it still says I have 6 on my home screen. I’ve deleted the app and redone loaded it and it would still have that stupid 6 in the top right corner of the app on my home screen. My brother has the same problem, and it may just be a problem for apple. It’s not a big deal and doesn’t ruin the app by any means, but I would love to see it fixed. Great app in general!

Why do you do this,. You have a really nice app. BUT, your marketing program you have is an all or nothing offer. This kind of s__t is tacky as he__. I was actually conceding your offer, BUT you have either purchase it or don’t offer me again choose. What kind of marketing is this. Tacky, tacky, tacky. I can’t go to the site of leave without making this stupid choose. Don’t do this kind of tacky stuff. Your better than this, I think. One other thing, fix your app, when your looking through posts, you pick on a location, there is not close X on that page. So your choose is to go back and start from the last post again, even though you where 50 or more post through. Simple fix. I would give you 4+ stars, but this type of marketing is really bad. Fix it please

Overpriced and poorly implemented. 2022 Update Still over priced as heck but what’s worse is the horrible group’s implementation that Fishbrain forces you to get notifications for. Yes even if you don’t subscribe to any group they notify you constantly of groups you might be interested in. No. Stop. I get your horrible groups you spent money designing isn’t popular but giving me notifications for them is just horrible. Seriously. $20 a year max for this app but they want $10 a month and worse yet now they give you notifications for things you don’t even subscribe to just so you go to the app to remove the notification. Stop being a horrible company. $10... a month. If I don’t pay $10 a month I have to have a huge banner across the top of the app telling me to unlock it. It’s one thing to ask for payment here and there but wasting space and offering nothing really in return for that $10 a month is a lot. The app is perhaps a $15 a year max app so not sure what’s the point since it not only has ads but also premium monthly pricing that don’t get rid of those ads.

awesome app, except paying for premium.. This is the best fishing companion app around. The instagram of anglers. I have not had any bugs or errors and app is smooth. only thing is that you have to pay for premiun where some fishers solely rely on the money for familys, fishing gear and likewise. id like to see the full app integrated for free or at least the catch locations for free because noone wants to pay and see if maybe theres been bites at that spot or likewise. overall good app just cost money that some people dont have.

No Landscape View on iPad. Despite having an iPad version of the app, there is no support for Landscape view on the device in this app. To top it off, it won’t let you rotate the portrait mode you’re forced to use 180 degrees so you can use your (heavy) device while charging and not have it pressing on its charge port. Not understanding why this simple function that almost every other iPad app in existence has wasn’t implemented here. Other than that, I think it’d be nice to filter the map view to show sites that have catches with the gear/lure type you’re fishing. The app is great other than the view issue and lack of ability to filter the catches the way I want.

Best fishing data/media app out there!!!. This has got to be the best fishing app out there it’s freee!!!! They do offer a premium aswell which unlocks a couple features ,but overall it shows you fishing areas in lakes streams and rivers the types of fish that have been caught there which really helps when deciding tackle , they also made it possible to share pictures of the nice catches and your able too like and comment and add friends too have an amazing fishing community which comes in handy, this app is a must have 🙏 thanks developers

Best Fishing App Out. I have tried all different kinds of fishing apps, and this one is by far the best one out there. To get tips on what kind of bait/lure was used, location of where the fish was caught, and even tips by some who post is awesome! I haven't seen that on any other app. Another positive is that you can follow different types of fish, fishing locations and setups for how you like to fish. It is like Facebook but for fishing. I haven't paid for the extra perks, so can't give much on that end. But the things you get for free is awesome!

It was a great app! Until this happened…. I was enjoying the app so very much. The one thing I liked the most about it was, the catch position, where ppl would post where they caught their fish and ppl could see where. But now, ever since the last update, I can no longer see catch positions and I had to pay in order to see them again. I understand if you want advanced info it’s gonna cost but at least let us keep the catch position. I’m not mad nor upset just a little bummed out that I can’t see those pins anymore. I would very much like a response when the dev or whoever has time please and thanks!

I love this app but the price is somewhat a drawback. I usually don’t write reviews. But this app is so great I had to. The only thing wrong with this app is the price. A $70 price tag is huge for the amount you get. Now don’t get me wrong the app is amazing and I will continue to use the apps free version. But to the developers I would like to say if you lower the cost yearly to around $20 I’d say more people will buy and continue to use the app. Thank you for the app devs and fish on.

Used to be my favorite, not anymore.. Sadly fishbrain has decided to go mainstream and have decided to start making you pay a premium for anything you want to do on the app. Sad to see cause Ive spent a lot of time on this app enjoying watching people catch fish close by or in the areas I consider a “honey hole”. I don’t see a point in paying for something that doesn’t actually catch you fish. Other apps have found a similar platform that has gotten pretty close to fishbrain. So there ya go, 1 customer lost, and many more to come just cause you guys want an extra dollar for something that you can’t even touch in person, only through a phone.🤣

Nice App. I have been using this for a week or so and have found it fun and interesting. Still trying to decide if I want to be a paid user. I do think that once you catch and unlock a new fish species you should have access to that fish’s data. That would make the app a lot more fun to try and collect all the different varieties of fish you can. End of day keep some things for paying users, but offer an “experience” path for free users to earn their way into better access. Make the money a payed shortcut. End of day a lot fun to see everything being caught around you and to network with other anglers.

Used to be good. App used to be really good. Now essentially every feature aside from just viewing what pictures people post is locked behind a paywall (used to be able to see what lure someone posted that they used but now FishBrain holds that info hostage unless you pay them monthly). The recent paywalling of the app makes it mostly useless since unless you’re willing to buy into their somewhat outrageously expensive monthly subscription, given what it is, you don’t get much useful information from the app. It’s also meant that this fishing season a lot of people (in my area at least) aren’t even posting catches anymore.

I tried contacting you but the captcha wouldn’t let me through!. My app was working last night and today in the morning I tried opening it and it would instantly close but when I press the button to see my open apps it’s supposedly open but it opens and in less than a second it goes back to home screen on my phone. I tried deleting the app and downloading it again but it didn’t help. And also every time I write the captcha letters to send you feedback it tells me I’m writing the wrong ones and I’ve tried like 20 of them! I can spell!

The best fishing sharing app. The most complete app for those who love fishing and like to teach others Just one problem maps aren’t accurate There is a lot of mismatch locations and a lot of locations that don’t appear in the map I’m talking about good location also all the misplaced fishing location from the fishermen I really believe it should be something to have in consideration fix the problem of locations of catching, don’t let anglers post new locations that don’t exist or misplaced catching locations

Awesome app and very easy to use. I’ve used this app for about a year and it’s been nothing but awesome. I paid for Pro and it’s been very satisfactory. If I were to add anything I would definitely upgrade the private messaging tool and add a “liked message” feature where you double tap the message. It’s a great way to end a conversation without having to write a whole bunch of messages back and forth while also not leaving them on the rude “read” Thanks to everyone who created and advertised this app super awesome and helpful and a very great community!

Bitetime feature unreliable. I have been using this app for close to a year. Before each trip I check Bitetime to see the best times for redfish and speckled trout ( I only fish saltwater in Texas). I started using the map to ch3ck specific areas and found that many of 5he areas the program is showing high percentages for freshwater fish like bass and very low percentages for saltwater fish. I reported this to the support team and it was first denied. I was told that the selection was based on what had been caught previously. My second attempt I pointed out that the only reported fish were all saltwater, so why isn’t the program giving percentages based on saltwater species? I am paying for the app and expect for the app to work properly. It obviously isn’t.

My new favorite app. I thought this app would be fun to post pictures of fish and see other people posting pictures too. I underestimated this app because it does so much more and now I am obsessed! You can see where people are catching fish, what tackle they are using, and you can buy it directly through the app. The fish recognition software is so cool. I caught a fish recently that I have never seen before and the app identified it in seconds. If you are a beginner or an expert this is a must have app for you!

How did I not know about this?!?. This app seems to have it all! I can get my fix of fish pics all day from other anglers sharing their photos. I appreciate that I can log the fish and the app retains an enormous amount of data on a catch (bait used, time caught, weather, location). I would never be able to remember that much about each time I went fishing. The interface and functionality is easy enough for any age. So bring your kids, your wife, your grandparents to this fun fishing enhancement!

Amazing app. Mannnnn this app has changed fishing for me . I’m a local angler with no boat to be on the water so I’m constantly pulling over and hitting up anything I see that may have bass .. now with this app other locals post locations of spots to fish at and show off their catch .. but the best part is they are able to pin their exact location and all you have to do is click directions and it will open up the maps on your phone and take you directly there .. got to give it a try to see how truly amazing it is

Don’t be fooled by fake data. The social aspect of this app is completely useless and fake. I don’t know where the developer got their photos from but these are fake profiles and fake photos and fake post. So the social part is completely useless. The review and location part is still useful enough to have a 2 star. Just want to make sure everyone understand what this app is and not be fooled by fake photos and fake review. Oh yes even the location for fishing has wrong data somehow and includes definitely illegal area (some reservoir forbid fishing but still included and has photos of people catching fish there, completely fake)

Awesome!. But can you add one thing? Language monitoring! I’ve seen people cussing on this app, so could you please add a monitor to where when they say a bad word, it tells them to rephrase it because we frown upon language in our family and I could get in trouble, so I will not download this app until something like that is added, and even better, you could make it to where each person has an option to hide mature or profane comments or not, so everyone is happy! Sorry to bother you! Please! The app is absolutely amazing!

Best app for fishermen of all skill levels. Fish brain is pretty awesome... you get to see who is catching fish in your area and where. It is especially convenient for people new to fishing or experienced fishers trying to learn a new area. Each user has a profile where they can upload a picture, description, info about lures/equipment/bait and location of fish they have caught. You are able to view on a map other catches and see other anglers profiles. It’s like a social media platform revolving around fishing.

Time correction needed. I guess I have a bug on my app where it keeps telling that I’m about four to four and a half hours ahead of where I’m supposed to be at for my time zone ( i.e my true time is midnight but the app keeps tell me that it’s five am ) I’ve just updated my app and even logged off and back on and deleted the app and reinstalled it but other then that this have improved my fish by a good bit and honestly it’s worth the premium. If the bug for the time can be corrected then I will give it a full five stars hands down

Fix. Love this app. The new fishing app I’ve used by far and will continue to use. One thing I would like to see fixed. When you are using the map and you click on the highlighted bubbles to see latest catches. When you click on someone’s post and try to go back it takes you directly back to the map. Is there any way you can make it so it goes back to all of the posts on the original bubble so you don’t have to go back to the map to re-click the bubble again. That is literally the only gripe I have about this. Other than that I love this app.

Great App!!. I love this app! It’s helped me find a bunch of new fishing spots and meet other likeminded ppl. There are just a few improvements that could be made to make it more user friendly. Some changes I would like to see are a “like” section to find old posts you “liked”. An easier way to upload more than 3 photos. A way to screen through fishing spots in your area maybe by distance. Maybe a “see first” for posts in specific spots you want to see updates on.... Overall this app is great and I can’t wait to see it continue to improve and grow!

Ruined Absolutely Everything. I’m just dude so I’m sure nobody’s going to see this but when I got Fishbrain I was expecting a all open app that showed me what people catch where and how to help me when I was new. But there’s a money feature that limits almost everything. I’ve been ok with it forever because every app has a money option but now they took it too far. I need to pay to see what people catch now? I can’t even see the photos people take? That’s absolutely garbage now the only features people have is to see where they can catch fish. Who knows if they’ll take that away like everything else too. The app is ruined and it’s ruined fishing spots all over America

Money hungry business scheme to promote their shop. The app used to be somewhat helpful. Now they’re changing the whole app so that you must buy a subscription just to access anything in the app other than their shop. They lost me when they put a price tag on “bitetime” after offering the service for free for at least 2 years. It was fun to look at more than it ever was actually helpful, no way I’d pay these guys to throw some random percentages my way!

Good app, could be better. This app has a great function, it allows people to see what others are catching and it enables the community to support each other. However, the layout is pretty bad. I hate how in order to look at people’s previous catches, you have to scroll through them one by one. I also don’t really like the fact that you can only put 3 pictures when you catch something. Furthermore, I’m not sure if it’s just me but whenever I post a picture the quality goes down. Other than that, it’s a pretty good app, serves a purpose

Overall, really great app and customer service. This app is great for finding where to fish and how to find said fish. I recommend this to any fisherman out there as this is basically Facebook but for fisherman. Customer support is also great and are very supportive of your questions and complaints from my experience and will gladly work with you through any issues when requested. 9/10 for the app. Only issue I have is that it can give to many notifications on the home screen.

Good app. The app is pretty good.. couple things.. the monthly sub is kind of ridiculous as I feel like you guys should just charge a flat one time purchase. It really doesn’t give to much more info in the app for a subscription. Another thing I think you guys should add on is a way to allow members to look up specific species on another feed.. love seeing everything but sometimes I want to see what’s being caught for specific fishes.. other than that your app is pretty good. I’m on your trail period and probably won’t continue for a monthly rate or a huge annual fee.. but I will continue to use the app as I think it’s got something going good.

Good idea, poorly executed.. I love the idea behind this app. The leaderboards spawn competition which is great; however, it takes the fun out of it when someone’s holding the top spot for a 8-in, 50 pound bluegill, or a person counting the total weight of their fish caught to claim a position. There should be admins to monitor that stuff to keep it fair and fun with prerequisites required to post to the leaderboard. There are also many lakes, ponds and rivers that are not listed and the app offers no way to add one that I can figure out. Maybe I’m missing that? There’s also lakes mislabeled - in fact, an entire set of lakes near me are named hooker chemical ponds A-E and they have actual names which makes them difficult to find.

Really like the app, but need to make a better way to report mistakes.. App works great, but one thing drives me crazy. No way in the app, to report any kind of mistakes. For example, if someone miscategorize a fish, or a size or location. You click report, it sends you to send an email… I just want to report via the app and you solve. I am helping you, but won’t send an email every time. I want to report, because understood you do good things with people information about the fish, to help bigger pictures and data about the fish.
