Do I have this movie?. This is a great way to be able to quickly check and say, “yep!” Or add it to your wishlist when you get a good recommendation. Or mark it as loaned (and to whom, when) when you want to make a recommendation. Tip: I loan movies to myself when I want to remind myself to watch a new acquisition or re-watch something of which I was reminded. The bulk barcode scan allows you to get your whole collection loaded in no time, and you can save and export and share your list using the Sort It! web version.

Love it 💕. I love this app because i had a huge issue with buying the same movies more than once. I never knew what movies i had because i had too many. This helps so much. This app just started glitching so it’s not working or showing my movies right now but on a normal day i would recommend it 100% 🤷🏽‍♀️

Better than others. I would have given this app 5 stars if it didn’t occasionally fail to save titles when SAVE was pressed. I have to visually check to make sure each title is actually on the list after I save it. This is troublesome for collectors with thousands of titles, using this app to remember what we have. Otherwise, it’s okay but I hope that issue is resolved soon.

Help!. I just tried to create an account to continue to use this app but it will NOT let me. I can enter my email and verify it (I think) but it will not let me enter a password. Very frustrated. All the time I spend scanning my DVDs and Blu-ray’s may now be useless and gone forever. Not the way I expected to start my day.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!! A WASTE OF TIME!!!. Purchased this app to catalog my massive movie collection of well over 5,000 Blu-ray and VHS. I have spent countless hours on this app taking photos and cataloging over 1,200 films from my collection with thousands more to go and it was all in vain! In the middle of cataloging a movie the app randomly shuts down which deletes all of the information that I just entered, wasting all of my time. Even after successfully saving the info from one of my movies the app will remove any given film from my collection at any given time. This defeats the purpose of the app. The point of this app is to preserve your collection for the future and it does the very thing that you’re trying to prevent by deleting a film from your collection. Also this app does not allow you to view your collection while offline. I wish I could take back all of the countless hours that I’ve wasted using this app. Given enough time, this app will eventually delete every single saved film from your collection. I would have been better off handwriting my film collection in a notebook than using this pathetic app! Save yourself from making the mistake that I and many others have made and don’t even bother downloading this pathetic app.

Deleted all my movies. Had this app for years and all of a sudden all of my movies are gone. I never had to have a login and have been out of the country for a while and am now back and looking for my movie list but yet they are all gone. What the heck?!? Why in the world would they just delete my movies without a warning, notification, something to tell me they were going to delete my list. So beware they will just delete your list when they feel like it.

Great until.... Just opened the app only to find my 1200+ collection gone (still showing my want list). Restarted the app, then the phone... nothing... followed the FAQs to try to retrieve the lost data by logging out, BIG mistake. They can’t find my email address to log me back in and the app won’t let me create a new account... so the app is bricked. Additionally Apple remembers the apps you’ve previously downloaded so no starting over... the only option is to find a new app completely. Loved the app, paid for the upgrade and now left on the streets to find a new home.

Easy App to Use with One Major Flaw. I use this app for cataloging my large VHS collection. I have almost 3,000 VHS listed on this app. I really like that I can take a picture of my tapes and enter tapes that may not have barcodes. All in all, a pretty easy app to use. However, a bad flaw in this app is that it randomly deletes entries. The point of using this app is to have easy access to my list so I don’t buy a tape I already have (when you reach the 2,000 mark, you will forget what you have) and to help me organize my tapes by allowing me to look up a tape to see where it is in the house. A major flaw in my opinion. Also, some of the data under the entries cannot be deleted after another user fills in the information. For example, if someone marks the tape as being subtitled, you cannot mark it otherwise. A small problem, but it would be nice if all of the data under the entries were fully customizable. I only run into this problem when I scan the barcode on a VHS and there is already an entry for it by another user. So an easy workaround is to just manually enter the tape without the barcode information, although it’s kind of inconvenient. Overall, I find the app pretty easy to use but it does have a lot of bugs.

Great app, desktop version offers nothing. Love the app, use it all the time when looking through thrift shops and finding DVDs to buy. Bought the desktop app hoping I could at least print my database. Ah, no. Does nothing more than the mobile app does. I hope they improve it. Will still continue to use it.

Great App. This is one of the best Apps I own. I have well over 1300 movies and he keeps them all organized and if I want to know whether I have one or not I can easily go to the program and find out whether I own that one or not. Filing it in the system is so easy all I have to do is scan the barcode and everything comes in automatically. Thank you for a great app. I give it five stars easily more if possible

Not perfect but good. I would love to give this a perfect rating. I really would. But I can’t. 1. It hangs up during ‘saving’ every blasted time I want to edit something (a very major complaint). 2. Desktop version screen doesn’t give all the same info as app version. Other than those two things, it is really super. Easy to use, visually attractive, available offline, all this and more.

Great app storage!. After I purchased it one time from my old iPhone, i thought everything will be gone when I changed my phone. After downloading the app again, to my surprise, all lists of my collections are still there... Worth the pay!

I really like this app but....... I really like this but I spend about 2 hours putting in some of my movies putting in the custom info only to open the app today only to find out it removed like 20 movies disappointed but I was like ok I’ll just put them in again closed the app for a bit came back to it like an hour later it put all 20 movies back so I deleted the doubles and it deleted the 20 doubles and the original 20 I really like this app and wanna buy it but not if it’s gonna delete and add movies all the time I have like 500 movies and don’t wanna sit here everyday worry that I’m gonna buy a duplicate or I’m gonna have to fix my list all the time please fix or give me advice on a fix please and thank you

Switching to a new app. It was a great app until recent months. It started not showing movies in my main catalog when I would look them up. It would later say the movie is already in your main catalog after doing a bulk scan on my movies. Today did it in for me when the app stopped working all together, and kept freezing up. It won’t show my actual catalog, and I can’t add movies to my main catalog. It was such a great app until now. Worse part is I can’t even contact support to fix the issue. So here goes looking for a new app to record all my movies.

Artwork vs. storage. I have well over 1000 dvd’s, and they take up so much space, and the only reason I have kept the boxes is due to the artwork on them, this app allows me to store my DVDs in a much more space efficient way and still maintain the artwork as well as a functional database. I love this app.

Excellent when it works. I’m very pleased with this App and it has made keeping track of my movie collection easy. I like that you can list by title or date or other criteria. When it works you simply hold your phone over the barcode and it immediately provides a Photo (of the cover), Title, Format, & Date. Unfortunately it only works about 75% of the time; the rest of the time you have to input all or some of the information manually. Still well worth the cost and recommended.

Outstanding. If you are a collector that likes to keep your movies in a particular order by either year, or alphabetical or a custom way that is to your liking, so you know what you have, then this is the app for you. Especially if you have more than 200 movies like I do.

Terrific App (Most of the time). I hate giving this app less than 5 stars but I have to be candid about my routine challenges wit it when doing so on my iPhone. The app often will not open until you close and reopen it over and over. And, often times, if I’m listing more than one title at a time, or take too long editing fields, the app crashes saving none of my work resulting in my having to start all over.

Missing genre. Great app for sorting all your movies. The app was recently upgraded and now allows you to search your movie collection by genre. I just gave it another well deserved star from 4 to 5! It’s nice when the app developers listen to your feedback and implements suggestions for improving it. Highly recommend this app.

Awesome for Steelbook Collectors!!. I rarely will pay more than $5 for an app. But this was totally worth $9.99 for the paid version! I’ve been collecting Steelbooks for a few years now, and wanted something to organize everything in my collection. This app makes it so easy! Scan the barcode with your camera, and it instantly finds your movie, along with all of the specifications, and the exact cover photo of the Steelbook! They make it easy to find movies you don’t have a barcode on too! Highly recommend this app for people like me who love collecting Steelbooks!!

Over all a good app. Over all I find this to be a good app that makes scanning in your movies a fast and painless effort on the iPhone. On the iPad though you have to log out and back in about every 10 movies or so or it won't recognize your in app purchases even after pushing the restore in purchase apps button. I do wish that this app didn't have the slide to delete feature bc it makes it too easy for children to accidentally delete a movie.

Updating. I would have rate it higher but there’s as time goes buy it seems to lag more and more when updating my collection. Now when I search for movies to add to my “wish list” they either don’t appear or it takes some time to see add it to the list. Once I opened the app to find that all my movies where not there as if I never entered anything ... so I had to add my collection once again and mind you I have over 2000 movies. So that wasn’t a pleasant experience. I am currently looking for another app since this one seems to have been abandon by the developers I rarely see updates on it to improve.

No longer have access. I purchased this app when it was “Sort It” and it worked great. I haven’t used it in quite sometime and when I tried to open the app it said it was down for service. I waited awhile then checked for an update. After the update I had to login. I don’t know my password so I gave them my email address but they say it isn’t on file. What a waste of time scanning all of my movies. I don’t recommend this app to anyone.

Had to re download. Had the app for years and the new updated Apple software for my phone would not allow me to open up the movies app to add my new movies. would not allow me to sign in on the app, so I deleted the app re downloaded the app would not allow me to sign in my account. I made a new account and at the beginning and all my movies are zero have to go and re scan all my 1500+ collection, that being said I am digging the new interface.

Sort-it movie database. My movie collection is 922 strong! Your app made it SIMPLE to compile! I love the fact that my daughter & I were able to be signed at on my account at the same time. Together we scanned in my entire collection in 4 hours (including breaks of course).

Absolute Garbage. I worked for months, loading my movie data onto this app. Scanning movie covers, filling out all the info for each movie. Had about 2500 movies loaded, then all of a sudden it just crashed when I went to scan a barcode of a new movie I had gotten. Everything was lost, months of hard work! Let me repeat this app is total GARBAGE !!!

Lost data, shoddy scanning. This app ate the app I used to use. I lost over 1,000 titles in the data transfer, and I appear to have no way of tracking down the lost data without entering my entire collection again. The barcode scanning on this app is much worse than its predecessor. I have to enter most barcodes manually. Beyond those two big issues the app functions well.

Great app. I love this app. I have a small collection of just over 300 titles and this app helps me keep track of them. Unfortunately, there’s one problem. There’s no search bar. I know that 300 titles is not a large collection, but it’s still a lot and it’s pretty tedious having to scroll or manually search through cabinets to see if I own something I want to watch. A quick search function would really help in all of the database apps, as I know people whose optical media collections contain thousands of titles. Thanks for your consideration and once again I love having this app in my life.

Movies. This great for a large movie collector like myself. I have well over a thousand movies in many formats and I been looking for something to help catalog the collection. I recommend this data base for all your movies in all formats including digital.

Decent app but search is lacking and no ability to sort by genre is baffling. In general this app has been helpful in corralling my extensive collection of movies and keep track of what I have. The features it does have are easy to use, and the sorting and searching features it does have are OK. That said, it’s missing what I’d consider some fundamental capabilities that really hinder its potential and overall usefulness. First, there is no way to filter the films by genre, even though it’s an editable field. This to me is a basic need - if I feel like watching a horror movie, I want to be able to see all the horror movies I have together. The fact that I can sort by studio but not by genre is strange to me. Second, I thought maybe then I’d be able to search by genre name instead, but alas, search only pulls from the title. So even that doesn’t work. Overall, it’s been a useful app to have for my collection, but I’m really disappointed that it doesn’t have some of this basic functionality above. An update that allowed for filtering by genre would make be update the rating to 5 stars definitely.

A+. I have an extensive movie collection, and this app makes organization so easy. Every now and then the app has some hiccups, but they’re usually resolved quickly. Some of the information imported upon scanning is incorrect, or missing, but I don’t think the developer has any control over that. Overall, this app is great, especially if you have a large collection of movies.

Pleasantly surprised. I recently switched to iCollect Movies from one of their competitors. I’ve only just begun to transition my collection but from what I’ve seen thus far this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. This app has none of the nuances of the app I was using… and that’s a good thing. I have an extensive collection of DVDs and Blu-rays. This app now gives a way to cross-reference those pesky movie collections that are on single or multiple disc sets. So now I know when I have movie that is buried in a collection and avoid buying duplicates.

Mostly great app, some shortcomings. While the app allows for easy entry of movies, fast searches, tracking loan outs, recording date of purchase and purchase price along with a number of other features, there are still two areas where it falls short. For true movie aficionados, these are big items hence my downgrading the app from a 5 to a 4. What’s missing is there is no way to indicate that the movie is in Atmos, and they still have not added the 4K option under resolution. Both of these have been available to the consumer public for long enough now, and more people have 4K and Atmos in their home theater setups that these appear as glaring omissions. I even emailed support about a year ago and there has still not been an upgrade to the app to resolve. If they could fix those I’d happily give the app 5 stars. As it stands now, I can’t.

Finally an easy way to track movies!. My husband and I have over 500 dvds/blu rays/tv series and it was so hard to not buy doubles when we were tracking them just in a spreadsheet! This app makes it so easy to look up movies on the go! I also appreciate that to can bulk scan! It took us a day to get all of movies inventoried and now we are set!

A little upset, save yourself from frustration. This app is super easy to use, owning loads of movies I was excited to have something to keep track of what I own. After taking so long to log all of the movies I own (over 600) I was very disappointed to find that every entry I had made had suddenly disappeared and was all gone. I fortunately had not paid the $10 to upgrade the app because then I would be even more furious knowing that this happens to people who have paid for that upgrade as well. Save yourself the frustration and find an app that won’t lose all of your data entry’s.

Fantastic Movie Library App. ‘I collect Movies’ is a fantastic application for maintaining a personal movie collection. It is very simple to operate, taking just a couple of button pushes to capture and store your movies. It has a built-in barcode scanner. For those items ‘without’ a bar code…no problem, you can easily enter your movie's information manually. There is a detailed menu of items you may select, or manually add for each movie entered into the database. The app also can capture (using your phone's camera) your movie's front and back artwork if it doesn't automatically appear after scanning the barcode. I am happy to give ‘I Collect Movies’ a 5 STAR rating!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

iCollect Movies App. I can’t say enough good things about this app the fact that it just works gets two thumbs up from me. I love that icollect allows the user to easily scan in movies from our collections and most of the content is already filled in immediately is amazing. Easy to find your collection. Been using this app for many years and after MANY COLLECTIONS of DVD’s of 3-D, 4K and regular DVDs easy to find what I have in stock. When friends and family are over and want to watch a movie I make them look at this app and pick what they want to watch for movie night.

No supported AFTER purchase. After downloading this app I proceeded to enter my collection. Though no indication of a “cap” for free version I assumed that when 10 entries were put in and would not except anymore that was my limit. I could tell right away that I would enjoy this app so I proceeded to purchase for $9.99. The next day, after entering more than 130 entries the app could not connect to their server. I decided to log out and restart my phone just to confirm it wasn’t me. The app nor the website could verify my account. After contacting support I was advised that this app is no longer supported and was in the “process” of being removed from the App Store. I was advised to download a different app and that my purchase would transfer. I proceeded as directed and downloaded the new app. I followed their directions in order to transfer only to get an error on my phone stating “ never purchased”. I reached out again to support to hopefully resolve this issue. This is ridiculous & very misleading to go through all of this.

Nearly Perfect. This is a big improvement over its predecessor. Having the ability to locate actors by name rather than endlessly scrolling is an improvement I had requested in the past. Now that’s fixed! Good work!!

Was a great app. I’ve had this app for many years now, and I’ve always used it to catalog my movies, and I had the opportunity to customize it put up my own photos of the covers, and the backs of my Movies. But like so many things, it wasn’t broke, but for some reason had to be fixed. Now it gives you errors you can’t update stuff you can’t change the photos you can’t put up new photos it is just confusing makes no sense. Why when something was good and working it had to change and now makes no sense. There’s probably other movie sorting apps out there. You should check those out first.

Great Update. I really enjoy the new version. Ive been using this app for a while. I never bought it when it was $20. The new update requires a account and has a limit of how many films you can store, until you buy the app. Although I was thrown off at first since I had been using the free version for so long and have about 520 movies stored, the features and interface updates made it a no brainer. At $9.99, definitely worth it. Great work.

Lost my entire wishlist. I'm a mega collector and I purchased the app to organize my current collection, track what friends borrow and my growing wishlist. Logged on today to move a couple films from the wishlist to the movie collection and... my entire wishlist is gone. I tried logging out and in again and my lost is still gone. I had almost 380 titles on that list compiled from several physical paper lists that I threw away once I got them all uploaded in this app. What a waste of several years collection curating. Very upset.

Easy to organize your collection no matter what format. This app made it easy to scan the barcodes in bulk of my physical media. We all know physical media is the absolute best picture and sound - NO COMPRESSION! So go buy your favorite 4k format movies and keep track of what you have with iCollect Movies. AND enter the movies you bought online so that when you want to watch a movie, look it up in your iCollect Movies database and know if you have it to watch on the bluray Player or if you want to stream your copy. ENJOY!

Excellent Product. I own a lot of movies in different formats. This app helps me to bring together my entire collection in one database. You are importing a complete set of information on every movie you own. Makes it easy to track down movies in your collection

Works better now. Last update months ago fixed the issues that caused all sorts of problems and I decided to update my review to reflect that. Everything seems to be working fine now, my list is still there and my paid copy is still “paid”. It’s nice having a list of all my movies when I’m looking for new ones so I don’t buy doubles.

Great inventory app!. Update: I responded to an email sent to me by the Sort It creator stating this app is no longer supported. I downloaded the supported app and requested an import (several times) and only received more generic emails. No support. While I think the app was exactly what I needed, I don’t appreciate not having my concerns addressed. Therefore, I would not recommend this particular app. I downloaded this app to inventory what turned out to be over 800 DVD’s. It was well work the $10 to scan in the majority of my collection! There are several sort options. I also like the ability to click on a movie and see the synopsis. I noticed a funny option to shake your phone and let the app select a random movie to watch. I imagine we will use that to resolve the “what do you want to watch?” conundrums we often face. Great app, I highly recommend it for whatever type of inventory you want to set up.

Not working. I had this app for a very long time and even though it hasn’t been the best because sometimes the titles are not in. But now that I want to add another movie to my collection it says that I don’t have an account and of course I know I do. Also I paid for the app so I don’t understand why it’s not working. There’s no one to contact to get an email to them and I have hundreds of movies uploaded to this app!!!!!!!!! I’m soooo upset. How to contact anyone here. Anyone knows?! Even when you pay which you have to when it updates it looses your info and all the movies. IT TOOK MONTHS TO UPLOAD ALL MY MOVIES JUST FOR YOU TO LOOSE ALL MY I FO AFTER I PAID FOR THE APP AND UPGRADES. THIS IS USELESS.

Good but not. Great concept, works easy enough. My problem is that I don’t want to pay $15 so when it scans in the information I can’t change anything. For example, terrible photo, missing information, or synopsis in Spanish.

MOVIES App. This is the predecessor to an earlier one that had major bugs and now this one loses movies and TV shows scanned into the app. Had over 1100 now it’s down to under 900 WHY? Not recommended until issue is resolved.

Potential- but too many bugs. Good app when it works but has too many bugs while in app. Latest update lost whole collection (300+)! Tried to contact but no response.... Many movies still not in system or put in wrong too - maybe can access site like IMDB to input??

Lost 2/3 of collection. I loved this app, used it for a few months until it lost two thirds of my collection. When I contacted the developers they said it was hacked and it would be faster if I just add them back myself. So for now I’m looking for an alternative :-(

Frustrating. Really liked this app when I first paid for it a few months back even though there were some kinks including the app not loading all my saved movies every time I would open it. More recently can't even get beyond the loading screen. Movies in my database don't load and looks like the developer hasn't bothered to invest in updating the app at all. Too many bugs and not worth the money I paid for it. Suggest you don't spend a cent on this app!

Awesome!!. Have this one and the movie one. Very easy to use, supper fast way to keep track of what you have, and want with the wishlist function. Makes it easy for when folks ask what do you want for your birthday/ Christmas. Great work. Thank you.

Not paying $15 for an app I can’t test!. Terrible interface. I tried scanning as barcode another app couldnt find and this found it. But then I try and review it etc and it has disappeared. All it does is try and sell you the full app. It looked good at first but /i guess not.

Extremely useful, a little frustrating at times. Very easy to use but still has some kinks to keep it interesting. Bulk scans are great but would benefit from the ability to see if the title scanned matches the title in your hand. Would be nice to be able to delete a record (so far I've typed over the top, but I can't see a delete option however could just be me being impatient). If you're like me and always doubling up on movies then this might be the answer (especially since you can view offline for a small fee). Cost of unlocking scans etc are still cheaper than getting home and realizing you've wasted money on a duplicate again!

iPad version is messed up. In the ipad version, when clicking on movie the movie details is too large for the screen. The save icon is off screen, so can't change details and you have to close app if you want to close page. It used to be good.

caveat emptor. You can only place 30 titles into the app for free.. then you need to pay a one-off payment of $50AUD if you wish to add more titles. The developer should be upfront about the cost. The app itself is quite good But not value for money.

iOS 13.1.2. App has to be deleted and reinstalled after Apples update doesn’t work otherwise

Indispensable. Have saved slot by using this when buying DVDs/BDs. Duplicate purchases gone! Paid for the upgrade. Enjoy its export options. Recommended. It's alternate app for games DVDs is just as useful

Purely Amazing!. I have around 1300 movies and this app is so easy to use just by scanning a barcode and I get so much information plus an image to look at when I'm trying to select one of the many to watch. I especially love the 'Loaned to' option as soooo many of my friends borrow different movies and it's hard to keep track of who has what,this App fixes that problem. I Love this App!!!! Great job guys ;)

I'm in love. I've been looking for a app like this or computer program for such a long time. This is so simple, wanted to like the comic one also but it doesn't recognise the barcodes on my archie comics

Great App!!. Had this recommended by a friend and yes it's pricey but it's totally worth it for the offline capabilities on my iPod touch. Camera sometimes lags with scanning and uploading photos but I'm assuming thats hardware related. Would LOVE if they finished the WP8 version ;P

1 star to 5 in one update. So everything I wrote In my previous review I have deleted, and changed 1 star to 5. The in app purchases, bugs, blah blah that I winged about in my previous review have all been corrected in the latest update. Well done developers

Impressive. I love this app, it's a little expensive to upgrade to the pro version but definitely worth it. Very easy to use and share.

It forgets my movies!!!?!?. Good app but my only complaint is i've scanned my 200+ movies 3 times over because sometimes it forgets the movies i bulk scanned. I since stopped using the app. I'll update it one day when i think it may've been fixed.

Great!. Great app, crashed when editing and adding title at the same time which needs to be fixed. I would give it 5 stars if it had a trailer feature like the other movie list apps. Hopefully this happens soon. Also a iPad 3 version be great!!!

Ticked Off. I wrote a review that was visible for a day or two. It quickly got deleted however. Now I'm really ticked off! Let me restate my complaint about this app. The information you place in the various fields gets changed or deleted because the database is a dynamic on-line database. Even fields like RATINGS which are different for different countries. I contacted support about this but was NOT afforded the courtesy of a reply. DEAL BREAKER! (I have the paid version)

Disappointed.. I have had this app for a couple of years now and I always thought it was fantastic, even though I had to pay extra so that I could use the camera scan feature I didn't mind, all of a sudden I can't add to my collection anymore!! Unless I'm willing to pay $6.49!!! I have already paid money to use this app and suddenly I am expected to pay more!! Even editing information is now considered a "Pro Version" luxury! I absolutely loved this app, I even recommended to many friends, now I wouldn't even recommend to my ex let alone my friends. I am hugely disappointed!

ICollect Movies saves me money. I have used I Olle t movies for some time. I have nearly 500 movies. Often I have gone to buy a movie to already find I have it. ICollect let’s me search my collection very easily. It is easy to use and runs no problem.

Sucker punched. Good to be able to scan in your collection via barcode, how ever don't like all the extras you have to purchase such as being able to view your collection offline cost to see it and it is only for a single use plus to do multiple barcode scans cost extra, these are features that should be included in the app for a one off reasonable price. The app constantly quits as well. I won't be purchasing any of their other "free" apps.

Not impressed. Why you ask. Well after adding ten of my large list of DVD’s this “free” app makes you buy it. So much for been free. Maybe to try only

Don't download this. This has several problems. 1. The cover flow doesn't work it just shows loading for the covers and when the eventually do load every time you rotate between portrait and landscape the covers have to loaded again. 2. Experiencing huge freezes editing and adding some movies. 3. Offline mode is not free so you must be connected to the Internet in order to view your collection. 4. Cover thumbnails continually disappear and require a download when opening the app. Reviewed on my iPhone 5.

Quick and easy.. To make it worthwhile you've got to pay $10 for the full version. But it's a good app that made it quick and easy to scan my 600+ movies into so I can keep track of them.

Doesn’t even work. Locks up and doesn’t work.

Disappointing it started out like a miracle app. However it keeps losing movies over time so my collection now only shows a quarter of the movies I originally saved into it.

Awesome. This is my favourite app. It's awesome when someone asks if you have any cool movies they could borrow and you hand them your entire collection to flick through right there and then. I love this app.

Excellent App for organising. your movie library, most of which is automated by scanning the barcode. Only on a few occasions did I have to enter information manually.

Really good. Excellent app. Scans all barcodes so far. Would prefer a one off payment for all features rather than each separately. Also wish there was a quicker way to switch between input methods.

Fantastic library app. I buy books and DVD's at markets and second hand stalls. Using this app, I can check what I have already. Saves double ups. Customer service is EXCELLENT. Awful app, stay away!. The app was originally called blu ray movies. After the name change you can no longer log into your account. So many hours logging movies has been completely wasted. Why bother with this app when they can delete it at any time. Worthless

Great Concept - No Service. I was directed to this App by iCollect Movies App after they were taken over by Runner Apps. I was told I could transfer my movie and music database to the new App. Tried several times, no go, error message every time. I have sent several messages to support, absolutely no help! You even get a message when you contact them basically telling you that you will not receive a response, well, maybe if you are lucky but by all means leave positive feedback for them....As if!!!!

Just charge for the app. If you have more than 10 movies or if you want to bulk scan them you have to upgrade to the pro version. No one who downloads this app is going to have 10 movies or less. Just charge for it and don’t trick people into downloading it thinking it’s free.

Useful and well-designed app with minor drawbacks. Very useful app. Sometimes items randomly disappear from my list but reappear the next time I open the app. Can also be very slow to load the list upon startup. Aside from these minor issues, has many great and variable features. Very handy scan-in feature. Do highly recommend for all movie collectors!

Pricey Database. Thought it would be good idea to catalog my movies. Hardly think it’s worth $15 to get unlimited database though!

Eh. Database search doesn't work, in order to scan barcode you need to download another one of their apps, in which after scanning about 20 films tells you that you can't proceed without purchasing the app for $7.00 or so. Manual barcode entering works well however. Bit slow.

Do not update. Latest update freezes on the opening screen & is an empty database after adding all of your titles. Fix..& quickly

Not good lately. This was a very good app. I have entered all fo my CDs and DVDs but now when I try to view details of a particular disc it locks the app and I have to power down the device and restart. Surely this could be fixed!!!

Sort-it! All sorted!. OMG This app is so fantastic and so simple to use! I ran out of furniture trying to store all my movies until I found this fabulous app. I bought a case with numbered pockets and used the "location" for each disk. Love the camera scanner to do all the work adding films. Now I can so easily find movies for whatever mood I'm in. Thanks so much for this.

Very Disappointed. I purchased this app and was able to scan 10 movies without any hassle. It will now not allow me to scan until I upgrade to the pro version at additional cost. I have written to the developers but have been ignored. If you have more than 10 movies and don't enjoy being forced to pay even more $$$ to use app than do not buy.

Terrible app. I entered 650 movies and 300 video games and when I went into the site today every entry I made was gone. Blank. I tried to get in touch with customer service and that didn’t go anywhere. And now I can’t even log back into the app but for some reason it is no longer recognizes my email. I bought all three apps ( movie,books and video ) at 13.99 each so I was ripped off $42. My advice is don’t buy this app.

Excellent. 5 Stars for the iPhone version. Easy to use, co prehensile enough for the mile or hardcore collector. Really nice interface. 1 star for the iPad version - because it doesn’t work, despite having to pay a delegate premium price for it. It’s as though the selections in the catalogue are scaled incorrectly for the iPad and therefore you can’t return to the catalogue or anything else after selection a movie... Hopefully a fix is on the way.

I love this app.. As I continue to expand my movie collection (650, as of today) I am so glad to have this app to keep track of them all. It is also great for when I am out to ensure I don't accidentally buy a movie I already own.

Losing my movies. I had been using this app for about 6 months and it was great! Now, when I scan any new movies to add to my list, they don’t save. Contacted support and have not received any response

Movie. The Movie App is awesome I like its ease of use. Sometimes a little glitchey but when u submit a problem they answer right away with a solution. I recommend for sure.

Can’t test or use without an account. Sorry but if I can’t even see the app without me creating an account to give you MY information then I don’t even want your piece of crap.

Bait and switch. Had the old sort it app and had all my movies catalogued. Was forced to a new update by default and now there is a limit of 30 items per collection, or you pay. Not cool! Should be informed of this before an update goes through.

Awesome Support. I have used iCollect Movies for many years. Previously I used the Sort It version and some years ago changed to the iCollect Movies version. Yesterday afternoon, I went to open the app and I could not access any movies at all. I wrote for help. They wrote back right away. In all, in the last 24 hours, they have sent me five emails and they have fixed the problem and all my movies are back in the collection. I don’t recall getting better support anywhere. Thank you for your support.

Finally!!!!. Finally an app that actually works properly. Have a huge collection. Now it's finally organized. Also realized how many of my movies were "missing" by that I mean how many have been borrowed by friends and not returned. Lol Only suggestion is make sure you double check the pre supplied info after you scan your movie. Some info is a little off. Rare but if you have OCD like myself it'll drive you nuts. All in all worth every penny.

iPad and iPhone versions. The app is a little quirky but it works. Some content downloaded does not look very polished. The fact that you have to purchase the app for iPad and again for iPhone is terrible. It’s too expensive.

Fooled: Do not install until reading this!. I got fooled into buying this while just within my first minute of testing free version, I will attempt getting a refund, and get them to correct this issue. Until then, do NOT even download the free/trial version or you could be out $13.99 too.

Great little app. Handy for sorting your movie collection and keeping track of whats loaned out to Who. Camera scan seems immensely fast can read even blurred barcodes!

Awesome app for sorting. Awesome app for sorting my entire movie library. It can use the camera for scanning the barcodes that way saves time searching for a movie to add in the library!! Plus you can upload front cover and back covers in case you have an edition that is rare and not found anywhere.

Forcing upgrades. Stop asking me to upgrade every darn time I try to add a movie by scanning it’s annoying as hell.

Too many bugs!!. This app is great to have your movies listed but the major bug is that your infos are changed everytime they have a server change. Most of your movies infos come back to what it was when you scan the barcode and so do the movies pictures.

Bait and switch. Paid for the app the first go-round, then they “merged with another company”, and reissued the app, asking for users to pay for the same app again (“oh, but you get a discount!”). I hear they’re trying to do the same thing a third time. Regardless, my data seems to have gone missing and in order to import my backup, I have to send them the file directly - no ability to import via the app itself. This app is so deleted off my phone in 3...2...1...

New update is bad. I have used this app for years, last update changed the usefulness of the app. I went to import some movies I bought and when I went to take a picture the crop function would work properly, and it would use the picture I took, instead it a blurred picture of the movie case some one else used.

Movie manager. This is extraordinary app, and a must-have one for any serious collector!!! User friendly, well organized... Great!

Nice App. I really like it, however it would be good if it also had a trailer function. I saw another app like this with it, I like that this app can separate my dvds and blu-rays.

Waste of time!. I scanned over 500 titles, when I logged in again all my hard work had gone.. all had disappeared.. So it was a waste of time...don’t bother this app..

How are people scanning hundreds of titles?. They’re paying, that’s how. “Free” I scanned like 10 blu rays. Can’t add any more unless you cough up the subscription. Waste of time and false advertising.

Great but some minor issues. The camera scan function sometimes is whited out and the bulk scan function freaks out sometimes if you do more then like 15 movies at a time. Other then that it's a good app to keep track of everything. No more doubles!

Great catalog tool. Great way to store all your movies in one database. The barcode scanner and bulk barcode scan features are really useful. A couple of glitches here and there and it's unfortunate you can't rename movies that have been misspelled. Overall very useful.

Scam. Convenient that my entire collection disappeared when I unsubscribed from the piles of spam e-mail that they send. Logged out and logged back in like they suggested and my password didn’t work. Tried to reset it and it said I didn’t exist. Edit: After finally recovering my data the server crashed AGAIN and lost my information AGAIN after they said they upgraded. Based on comments on the Facebook page this isn’t the first time.

Best App for Tracking Your Movies. This is the best app I have come across for tracking my movie discs. Every time I show someone the app, they think it is fantastic!

Not impressed. I just purchased this app and I’m not impressed that the purchase country and front cover image seems to be wrong on some of them when I use the barcode scanner. Seems to happen with the 3D ones more. Please work on being more accurate.

Review. Great app I LOVE IT

Dishonest and unreliable. Doesn't work.. So I was using Hooked In Motions iCollect for movies. It was running terribly the last few months. So I finally contacted support, only to get a reply that HIMiCollect is now part of the SortIt family. And to download the Movies app, and follow the import instructions. I followed it to the "T", but for some reason the SortIt Movies app keeps crashing as it's importing. I also followed the troubleshooting from SortIt, but no luck. I even went as far as purchasing the Pro version just incase I had to for importing. Still nothing. And they don't even provide an email address to contact them about issues. Even though that's what they tell you to do if you keep having issues. What a waste of $5.99 and time. Update 5-20-15: So the guy who runs this database ended up manually fixing my issue. But since the latest update, my 500+ movie list, is now 22. He replied with troubleshooting tips. Nothing worked. Now he won't reply back. Been a few weeks since I've heard back, and several unanswered emails. Update: 8-3-15: After several unanswered emails, I get a reply back in June. After replying back, I have not since heard from them. Several updates have come and gone, and my issue is still unresolved. And have not heard back. Update: 10-8-18: Still unresolved. Still haven’t heard back. And I’ve tried a couple more times since last update. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP APP, AND CRAPPY💩 SERVICE. 😠

Great App!. I’m stunned that all the movies I tried to scan worked! A really good app to have for those with big collections. Even works with tv shows and blue rays! I had a trilogy set as well and it even had it in the database! It’s just annoying that the full version is $14, and the desktop is probably more. I get the developers have to make their money but man, it’s a bit steep.

Good but not really necessary.. A good program but I decided to just make an Evernote list instead. I accidentally purchased it because the buy pop up window looked like an allow option.

Didn’t import my collection. In the previous app I had nearly 2,000 titles scanned to my collection. When I downloaded the new app and told it to import, it only imported around 500 of my titles. Now I have to go through and scan ALL my entire collection again. It took me three days to organize and go through my collection previously, this has been such a disappointing setback.

THEY RIPPED ME OFF. I paid the $10 to upgrade; spent hours inputting my 275 movies, thought it was great but then my movies ALL DISAPPEARED after a couple weeks. I emailed support, was told they got hacked and don’t know if or when data will be back up. I asked for a credit, got the runaround, told that I need to go to Apple, which I did but was told to pound sand. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOTS OF AGGRAVATION! Stay away from these thieves!!!

Great app. Enjoy this and keeps my movies organized and easier can tag them when I loan them out.

Not worth it. It’s a disappointment that you can only scan 10 barcodes and if you want to scan more you are forced to purchase a $9.99 version of this app, although it’s a nice way to keep tabs on your movie collection, not worth that much. I’d suggest they reply in advertising instead of charging that ridiculous amount

Loses titles. Twice it has lost many of the titles in my collection. I have over 900 titles and the first time it lost almost 600 of them. I finally added all titles and it worked fine for almost a year and tonight 150 titles are gone. An app that cannot keep an accurate count isn’t worth having. And yes, I tried the reload option and it didn’t work.

Buyer beware!. I installed this app and it looked great! So I spent several hours putting all my movies in… When I came back a week later to look something up, my account disappeared! I wasted $10 and hours of my time not to mention the back breaking up and down for an old man to pull the DVDs off the shelves and then put them back!!!!

Can’t log back in. After I completed my inventory I logged out of the app and haven’t been able to login again. I reset my password twice and still nothing. Now I’m waiting on then to answer a support email. I paid the $10 and can’t use the app. There is a big problem with that.

You need this.. If you collect movies like I do, you need this. I use all the Sort it! Apps. No bugs, no nothing. You’ll love this.

So easy. This app makes it easy to catalog and sort all my movies. It even has a feature that lets me know who I’ve lent titles to so I can keep track of everything!

Solid app. Easy to use. You can customize just about anything which was a selling point for me.

Outstanding. If you are a collector that likes to keep your movies in a particular order by either year, or alphabetical or a custom way that is to your liking, so you know what you have, then this is the app for you. Especially if you have more than 200 movies like I do.

So little open it’s hard to even evaluate. This looks cool but only being able to add ten movies, and deleting them doesn’t allow adding new ones, makes this too hard to evaluate if it’s even worth ten dollars when other apps are cheaper. I’m thinking I’ll just stick with MovieBuddy. With 50 movies for free, at least you can get an idea how it works.

Deleted everything twice!. This app would be wonderful except one very important thing - it has cleared my movie list twice! 509 movies I rescanned and they are once again gone when I opened the app to check on one. They stayed about a month. Contacted support and didn’t get any help to recover and yes, it’s still logged in. Oh and the help section recommends logging out but when I try logging back in it says I don’t exist, ridiculous!!

You went from 4 stars to 1. Thanks for ruining the app with the changes to free accounts. I didn’t mind having less capabilities like having to type out the barcode vs scan but now it’s a completely useless app with 30 max dvds. I’ve got hundreds of movies and enjoyed placing them in the app for years. Thanks for ruining it. Bye ✌🏻

Free option is pretty useless. The features for the free version of this app are quite limited. No bulk camera scans, and only 10 single barcode scans are included. If you don’t want to pay $6 for the scans you might as well just write out all of your movies on a piece of paper.

It just stopped working. I painstakingly put my entire collection on this app. It was quite handy. Now, for whatever reason, the app no longer works. It doesn’t let click anything, none of my movies are in my collection anymore. Tried deleting it and reinstalling it, but it’s still the same. The website doesn’t load either.

Great App!! Must have for collectors!!. This has been a very useful app for my DVD/Bluray collection. Loaning movies to others and having it tied to my contacts is great!! It would be great if there was a way to share my collections with someone else with images, almost as it appears in the app itself. Also, allowing me to separate my non horror from my horror would be awesome. Yes you can sort by genre, but I'd like to have separate folders for genres. What do I do if I want to categorize my VHS? Is there a separate one for that?

Bring back Sort it!. Got this app when it was “Sort it”, now it is iCollect and they changed the layout of the app. Used to have option for bookshelf view feature which is now gone. Now there is only a grid view and it’s not as nice as the book shelf. Change it back!

My opinion of using this app. I Love being able to see all the New movies i buy & those that i already own so I don’t buy a movie I already own twice. Love it

One flaw for my purpose.... Bought the app, trying to sort and sell my collection, the most appealing aspect was the export in excel format. Does great, but on the excel sheet, value on eBay is (null) on all movies. This took away the one feature I was looking for. Would get full stars if it allowed me to see eBay prices on data sheet.

Waste of money, smells like a scam. I paid $9.99 for the “premium” version of this app. All my movies were deleted. FAQ suggested to log out and log back in. Now it doesn’t recognize my email address or password and won’t let me log in. When I click “forgot my password”, it says my email address is not recognized. How can I get a refund? I’ve used this app three times!!! Thanks “Ethan”...

ALL GONE. I’ve had this app for several years. I had over 1600 titles listed. I was required to do an upgrade. I did everything I was prompted to do and now EVERY title is gone!!! It took me DAYS to upload all my DVD’s !! And I’m just not taking the time to reload them all!! I’ve never had to update this app and the I’ve time you people insisted I do I lost all my information. Thank you so much for NOTHING!!

Great, but needs Search function. Easy to enter you collection into the database. But no way to find a particular movie, especially if it’s part of a multi-disc collection. Where’s my little magnifying glass? I’d like to do a key word search that scans the entire database.

Worth it!. I’ve been enjoying the app so far. It is really easy to use and very convenient. The $10 for pro is worth it!

Great app but... The edit information or the search on the movie I look at is all jumbled up can hardly read it. Please fix this problem but otherwise it is a great app.

Great app. I love this app when I’m shopping for movies. I have a lot of movies and sometimes forget what I have and don’t have, so this app is great for knowing what’s in your collection.

Great app suddenly dead?. What happened? App used to be amazing. Last few weeks it wont scan new movies, the images tgat come up are crap. So sad such a good app is apparently no more :(

iPhone app - not impressed. So if you down the the movie database for iPhone it won’t let you bulk scan without purchase. Ok.....so I was doing them 1 at a time and thought it was a decent app until I got to the 11th movie. Cannot use camera scan anymore without purchasing premium. So all that leaves is to manually input each...... Yet a friend of mine has an android.........and has scanned in hundreds with no issue. Not a good app for iPhone

Lost everything. This is the second time I have lost everything stored here. I opened to scan new movies and it wanted me to login. Then said it couldn’t find my email. So everything is gone and I won’t be trying again.

Lost everything!. Went to add a movie I just purchased...and low and behold my entire list was gone!!!! We are not talking a few movies here...we are talking well over 200 movies! And of course there is no one to write to for help! Feel like I wasted 10 bucks or whatever it was on this app....big disappointment to lose everything that took hours to put in!😡😡😡

Movie collector. I’ve had other movie apps and have crashed on me. This one if far the best one yet. Have never had any issues after 800 movies logged and another 200 on wish list

Failed Server and no back up. This app showed great promise and functionality in the beginning. After I had spent hours building my catalogue the developer’s server was wiped and I lost everything. This happens for sure but it turns out there wasn’t a proper backup which is not acceptable. Their response is basically that I’ll just have to redo everything and that’s it. I’ve moved on to other apps that allow icloud syncing etc.

Want to like it, but seems buggy. I really want to like this app since it’s so comprehensive, but I keep encountering bugs. Last time I entered movies, the app kept hanging and searches took forever. Today, the app won’t search using Database Search. This app has tons of functionality, but I’m now looking for a new one because I can’t get consistent functionality.

Lost over 900 movie titles saved. Bought app 2019 Thanksgiving week and had every single movie title in my collection erased off my app due to some sort of hack or bug or something???? Took hours and hours and hours to scan and enter all the titles manually. Never was offered a refund. Im scared now to re enter all my titles just to lose everything again

A bad ending to a great app. This app was really good. But I went to add a movie and the app froze. So I exited out and went back in. When I went back in, all my info was gone and I could not push anything. It was frozen solid. Very sad!!

Sort It Movies. I was an original ICollect Movies user and was very pleased to have Sort It honor my previous purchase and reload my old backup into the new app. The new app looks and works great!

Needs an update. I can no longer open the app! What’s up?? I have over 300 movies scanned.

My movies disappeared. App was working fine when I first got it, but like some of the other reviewers stated my list of movies suddenly disappeared (I had over 200). Tried going through the trouble shooting and that didn’t work, also tried emailing about the issue and never received a response. Not right, especially when I paid for the upgraded version. I wouldn’t recommend anybody spend money on this app.
