Great app for a great magazine!. Love this app. Easy download, easy to read and great layout of articles and all the extras. i really enjoy being able to easily access older issues of SL with just a tap on my iPad. Photographs are crisp and clear and I love how I can take any issue of SL with me on the plane without the bulk. I still get my monthly copy of SL in the mail, but when it's time to renew I will go paperless this time around. Love Everything about SL and the digital format has given new life to the magazine I love to read!

Great magazine. Timeless and helpful info. App can be a little hard to navigate sometimes.

Collector. I’ve been a collector of Southern Living magazines for over 40 years. After downsizing recently and having to let go of my collection, I am so happy I can reference old issues so easy. Thank you!

Where is customer service?!. A couple of years ago I suddenly wasn’t able to access my subscription and reached out to customer service, but never got a resolution. I just canceled my auto renew subscription at that point, and let the subscription expire. There were roughly about five months worth of magazines that I never got to look at because of the problem. I recently got a new iPad and decided to investigate further to regain access my subscription. It tells me that I’m using the incorrect email or password to login. I haven’t changed email addresses so I’m not sure what’s going on. It doesn’t even give me an option to reset my password. In fact, when I’m trying to login, all it asks for is my email address or subscription number… There isn’t even a box to type in the password!! I have a digital subscription so I don’t have a print subscription number. Where would I even found a digital subscription number? I have emailed customer service time and time again and I’m not getting any replies. AWFUL SITUATION and I am losing money because I can’t even get anyone to help me access what I have already paid for!

Really BAD app. I have a hard copy subscription of Southern Living and attempting to get the digital version on my iPad proved futile. The Southern Living app first tries to lead me into renewing my current subscription which is still good for more than 18 months. I finally create an account and then attempt to log into it but I am told that I'm not entering a valid email address, the email address that I used to create the account. Really, really bad app or maybe that's the way Southern Living wants the app to work or simply just does not care. The app is not worth the one star that I need to enter to post this 👎🏻👎🏻 review.

Ron Duggin. T The app doesn’t seem to recognize me. Every time I sign in and actually I don’t have a prescription

Love the magazine, hate the app. I love Southern Living magazine and have been a subscriber for many years. Since I would rather not have a bunch of old issues to dispose of or store, I thought reading it online would be a good solution. I simply don’t understand why it takes an hour or longer to download one issue, and why you can’t do anything else with your device during this time because if you navigate away from the app it pauses the download. You can’t just sit down with a cup of coffee and flip through the new issue unless you have planned far in advance to have it downloaded and ready. We do not have the fastest Wi-Fi, but I don’t run into this type of thing anywhere else. I would think that first and foremost, when developing an app for a magazine, the priority would be to create one that allows people to actually READ the magazine when they want to. In my opinion, the app developers have failed miserably on this one!

Love it!!. I LOVE that I have my Southern Living right on my iPad2 included FREE with my print subscription! No more hauling a stack of magazines on car trips or having all my back issues & clippings under the end table! I would like a good way to "clip" & save articles & recipes, as well as hyperlinks to recipes so that I can import them directly into my recipe manager. It would also be nice to be able to drop Southern Living into the Newsstand app (from what I can tell it must be an individual app...?). Overall great app!!

Disappointed no more.. I am happy to say that Southern Living magazine has fixed the problem I had with the new app update and I am now signed in and have ALL my past issues of Southern Living Magazines. Thank you! Original review: Disappointed I have gotten Southern Living magazine since 1980 and have never been disappointed, even when they were in black and white. Well I won’t be able to say that again. This latest update is a disaster. I have lost all my copies dating back to 2013 since I can’t even sign back in. Please fix the issue with your app update! The new features for the new update sounded very promising, especially being able to share recipes.

Unhappy, can not access magazine, update- now happy. Since the upgrade, I am locked out of digital account as well as the restore previous issues. Totally useless. Update, tech support answered my inquiry within an hour on a Sunday morning. Found the problem and fixed it. Accessed the site, download was fast. Changing rating to 5 stars

New App Needs Major Work!. Like nearly all other reviewers I have been a loyal SL customer for 20 years. The new app update has caused all of my back digital issues to disappear. I get an error with my email address and my account number is not recognized but says “try back later” which I have done for days...when is later? I have sent a request for help through the app, hopefully this is promptly resolved before I leave on vacation tomorrow because I wanted to take my issues with me on my iPad but have had no luck after days of trying this mind-numbingly frustrating new app! So disappointed :-(

Can’t Download with Subscription. You are able to download issues with a paid subscription. Why pay for 2 subscriptions??

Terrible App - not updating library. Terrible App. My library has not updated since March 2020. I’ve tried everything including delete / reinstall app. Library still stuck in March. My account is current. Guess I will just to wait until the snail mail delivers the hard copy. Southern Living is NOT a digital publisher.

fine. Having to go through the logon process again to get into the app and download the new version is expected. Having to manually re-download each of my purchased issues one by one is highly annoying. I navigated through the "upgrade" process easily enough, but the "restore issues" function didn't work, even after I checked my account setting to automatically restore. That being said, once I got into the magazine, it's worked fine.

Very disappointed. My wife and I have been subscribed to Southern Living for years.....since the current update I can no longer access our digital subscription on my iPad....my wife is able to access her copy on her iPad so we know it is recognizing the log in information.....we have family sharing turned on.....I would like help so that I can view it on my own device....we have tried the restore all purchases and it does not work.....we deleted and reinstalled the app and it does not work.

Fabulous. Amazing that I have print edition and can get iPad edition for free. I had millions of magazines sitting around house and now can donate them to local battered women's shelter and keep on my iPad for easy recipe and article reference. Thank you Southern Living for being so consumer friendly! I will recommend to all I know that get this magazine! Phenomenal!!!!! Other magazines should follow suit for current subscribers.

Further requests. I was thrilled to see Southern Living now has an electronic version. I had contacted Southern Living over a month ago asking when this was going to be available, but never received a reply. A couple of requests for improvement. Over all the years I have been reading SL, I have torn out articles of interest, especially travel articles to file away so when we visit those states I have all of your suggested places to consider. I also do this with the recipes I want to try. With the new electronic version, I cannot bookmark or print a page. After I have finished reading and tearing out all of the pages I want to keep for future reference from the printed version, I am able to throw the rest of the magazine away. I would also like to see a hyperlink for all websites referenced. Currently, when I'm reading the printed version I need my computer or iPad close by so I can go to the site or I mark the page and go back to it when I'm at a computer.

New issues no longer downloading. I have been a southern living subscriber for more than 10 years and am frustrated the digital edition stopped downloading 2 months ago. Help! Both my subscription and digital app are up to date.

Horrible App—No Support. I updated the digital version of my app, and I lost years worth of digital subscriptions plus I lost 2 Southern Living House Plans magazines that I had purchased through the app that cost me $4.99 each. I’ve been in contact with Meredith Digital Customer Service (who BTW is located in the Philippians), Zinio, and even Southern Living House Plans. No one can help me. They all seem to think it’s someone else’s problem. Zinio just said that as per publisher’s request they are no long supporting any issues but the magazine. So, I’m angry and frustrated. I’ve been a loyal subscriber for years. I’m about to cancel my subscription to both digital and hard copy Southern Living. That is so sad too. They used to be such a wonderful company. What a bunch of crooks and jerks.

I no longer exist halfway through my subscription. The title says it all … no new issues are visible and the app doesn’t recognize my profile login. No way that I can find to correct. Ridiculous.

Terrible App. Love the magazine for 30 years, however and ready to cancel my subscription as it will not allow me to refresh my ITunes purchases. I travel a great deal and this is essential.

Easy to read, needs one change. I love reading this on my iPad. I forget that I don't have the real magazine in hand! It's easy to navigate, but the one improvement that needs to be made is a way to bookmark pages. I would actually love a way to file pages according to categories (house ideas, recipes to try, etc). It would totally eliminate the paper clutter resulting from my southern livings!!

So glad to see this!. I am delighted to see Southern Living in digital format! The pictures are so sharp, clear and great color. The only thing I wish you could change is the "More" tabs. You seem to need to swipe the opposite direction the arrow points. This is a tiny complaint. I like the sidebars that really add. Overall a great app!

Terrible. This was terrible experience. I had the previous Southern Living app which I was able to download easily and access. Now there is a new app that I had to download which was confusing. I had to contact Customer Service to get help and all the operator was concerned about was moving on to the next call.(no Southern hospitality at all) Once I got into the app, I discovered that none of the issues that I had previously downloaded were carried over and I had to start all over again. The previous app was great. This was not worth my time and trouble....I am really irritated!!!!

Good job!. Very easy to use, and beautiful. Especially like the scroll through the whole issue fast to find a page feature. All the pull out text and scrolling for more information shows the designers are putting a lot of thought and work into the issue.

Digital at last. Finally I can carry my Southern Living anywhere. I Love the pictures and the scroll inside articles. However, I need to annotate articles and save them for future use. what about a Southern Living scrapbook that is stored on my iPad? I could save articles, pictures, and recipes. Also, I would like to touch a number on a picture and see the notes about the item appear, rather than having to turn the page. Finally, I want the websites in the article "hot", so I can go immediately investigate. All in all a great first version!!

App does not work correctly after iOS updates. System updates - then subscription is not recognized. I end up paying again to get what I already paid for. App needs a fix or correction.

New format ruined magazine. Been a subscriber of iPad version for years. New format is terrible. Font is too small to read and requires zooming in to make it readable. This makes recipes (my favorite feature of the magazine) hard to read and makes it especially difficult to use while cooking. Who wants to touch the iPad screen with dirty hands covered in dough or ground meat while cooking to enlarge the print or move the screen around in order to see different portions of the recipes? Please bring back the old format!! This new format makes the magazine tedious to use and not a joy to read!! If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Worst update. SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE UPDATE. Hubs and I leaving for a 4 hour drive and I went to download 2 latest issues. I had to install the update in order to download April issue and that's when the trouble started. Having to jump through sign in and account validation issues finally to see that I was going to have to download every single issue in my library again made me so MAD!!! What a waste of time. I don't even have an iPad w retina display so the "great improvements" in the update don't even apply to me. Huge waste of time to redownload all issues but I will eventually have to because I have not kept all my hard copies since subscribers have been able to use app. I agree with other reviews. TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR USERS.

This App I have the hardest time to load. I have always loved the articles in this magazine. Have keep many paper issues through the years. Thinking I may just go back to the paper because I can’t get this sad app to load. I have tried reloading many times and it just sits there and buffers. Then it drops out. Hate to let this app go but I don’t have much choices.

Can’t restore issues. I am a current subscriber and have been for many, many years and can no longer restore issues through this app. Please fix this.

Can’t download. I can’t download the issues. It continues to offer a trial or purchase; I have had a subscription for years. Apparently, an update caused this glitch a few months ago, and it still hasn’t been resolved.

Dislike latest update. I dislike the latest version of Southern Living app. It is slow to load my issues. There is now a "latest" tab which is confusing because it prominently displays a note to "Subscribe and save" as if I was not already subscribed. Once in the issue, you can no longer flip pages and the header and footer bars appear on every page until you start to scroll. It takes away from the experience of feeling like you are looking at a non digital magazine. I also dislike the way the "issues" tab is organized. I like the way issues were organized in the previous version of the app. When moving thru the issue pages I accidentally went to the table of contents. I dislike that the table of contents is just a list now with no design around it. I also you have to know exactly where you were in order to go back to that exact page. Makes me want to go back to the paper subscription.

Horrid site!. This site was so poorly designed. It is all but impossible to find where to log in and then, in spite of the fact I was using the correct password, access was denied. It navigates slowly, is difficult to navigate and is not user friendly at all! I found it so frustrating that I can see no reason to bother with it. Applications should not be rolled out until all the "bugs" have been ironed out and it has been tested on "real" users and not the greeks who designed it. It is just the worst an more poorly executed site I have ever had the misfortune to attempt to use.

Great SL App. This app makes reading my favorite magazine easy.

Desperately needs Retina optimization. Text is grainy and pixelated to the point of being nearly unreadable on an iPad 3 retina display. Pictures are similarly awful. I bought an ipad-only subscription and have not done more than page through the first issue seeing if any of the pages were optimized for this increasingly prevalent HD display. They weren't. Southern Living and Coastal Living electronic editions were one of the things I was most excited to enjoy when I got my ipad. Both have turned out to be huge disappointments. My email to customer service about this was completely ignored. Please optimize the magazine for HD displays!

Not able to download magazines.. I was able to download up through last December, then could not download anything again without purchasing until the May issue of 2020, and nothing else. I still cannot download anything else from this year. My subscription renews in August.

Better than print. Easy to use. Up-to date!. No more ugly stack of magazines, no more lugging them like a hellish anchor! This app is fluid, easy to use with built in tutorials, and i dont feel i am missing anything by not having the paper copy in hand. Being stationed abroad with the military (germany and stan) i get the issues almost two weeks later if i'm lucky. This puts a big damper on the holiday issues in particular. With the app, I know i am not missing anything. Moreover the magazine makes it in one piece. Although no fault of the companies, sometimes things just don't make it to theater in the best of conditions.

Disappointing update. This is the first product review I ever wrote for an app. The latest update is extremely disappointing. The bookmark feature has been removed. All the articles I had flagged with bookmarks from previous editions are gone. In addition, the have begun to charge print edition subscribers for access to digital editions with no warning. My impression is that this update is less functional and costs more. In addition, I wrote to the product help within the app help feature twice and never received a response. This app is not worth it.

Horrible Experience. I have been able to access issues from Dec 2021 through April 2022 in this app and Better Homes & Garden on any of my Apple devices. I’ve contacted the providers and Apple, followed all the T/S steps and nothing works. I’ve subscribed to both since 2014. Zinio isn’t helpful at all. If they can’t resolve within the next 48 hours I want a 5-month refund on both magazines. Simply ridiculous-no customer support from anyone and two many 3rd parties to work to.

Won’t download any 2022 magazines. Won’t download any 2022 magazines

Navigating the Newstand. I love this publication on IPad. However, it takes some navigation to get to the back issues. Although the current issues shows on the IPad Newstand, in order to access the back issues, I discovered by accident that Southern Living has its own Newstand embedded in this app. By tapping the bottom of the cover page of the current issue, a new browser bar opens along the bottom. Only by using this browser was I able to locate and download past issues. Please update your instructions to include this information.

Apple subscription doesn’t always work. Th

Horrible. I have a hard copy subscription and have had digital access up until earlier this year. Now when the newest magazine is available it says I need to subscribe but it recognizes that I have a subscription so it also gives me the option to not only purchase the current issues but also previous issues I have not been able to download. I have also tried to get help directly with Southern Living but to no avail. They either need to fix this problem for subscription holders or ditch the digital version all together. I really don't understand how this problem has not been solved. Based on other reviews this is an ongoing problem that they have to be aware of. Extremely disappointing.

Almost there. Love to be able to read on my iPad! Unlike some other mags on the iPad, this actually is not a condensed version, but has all the info, articles, pictures - even the ads. Would just like to be able to bookmark pages and save for future reference - would love to be able to save the recipes by category or ingredients and pictures by category also. Overall, great app! Thank you!

Reappeared!!. I had the same problem as others. The latest update made my app stop working. I sent a note to customer service and they fixed the problem within hours. I'd suggest that anyone who still has problems with the app try again to delete, and then re-install it. If that doesn't work, send a message to customer service. It's too good of an app to give up on it!

LOVE IT!!!!!. My mother who is an extreme technophobe was even able to navigate it! I love being able to click through to websites along with the other wonderful features. The only reason I'm withholding a star is that I would like to have a bookmark function. As far as "clipping" articles like I do in the paper version, I just use the screenshot and place them in AwesomeNote. I would, however, like to see a print function for recipes. This would help with the problem of having to have more than one screenshot when having to scroll a recipe. But for a first rendition of the magazine, amazing!

UPDATE: RESOLVED User Does Not Exist. The Southern Living team and ZINIO worked with me to fix the situation. It took a few tries, but eventually it worked. Southern Living restored all of my missing issues. Thank you! Tried opening the app only to find out it’s been updated and I have to log in again. Easy enough, right? Except I now get an error message that the “user does not exist.” Are all my digital issues now lost?

Good Job SL. I am a print subscriber and was thrilled to learn that Southern Living, like many of my other magazines, was offering free digital versions for their print subscribers. I have been a long-time patron of SL as is my mother and my late grandmother. I have cherished recipes that my children ask for repeatedly and knowing that they are from Southern Living, I know that the recipe will always satisfy. I love getting a new edition monthly and plan my meals accordingly. The new app is feature-loaded with gorgeous photos-everything I have come to expect from SL. Congrats on keeping up with the times!

Why bother. This is the most useless app I have seen, even if you know the name of a recipe search will not take you to it. Very slow to return unrelated recipes.

Aussie Pleased. Great great great. Inspiring.

Southern at Heart. I live in Australia and cannot wait every month when my Southern Living arrives. Love the articles on gardening and cooking especially. Lots of great information about the South.....cannot wait to get back there to try some of the amazing restaurants that I have read about. Keep up the good work.

Best monthly magazine ever. Subscribing to Southern Living 25 years ago was my best decision ever. I Trust every recipe printed, get decorating ideas seasonally and best of all have extensively travelled in the South. We’ve been able to find some favorite places that regular tourists just wouldn’t know about. I treasure my time spent every month with my new Southern Living

Southern living app. 1) old issues indicate I need to "purchase", even though I already have a subscription in effect at that time, and now. (And the mag issues have already been downloaded before) 2) would love to be able to "bookmark" my favorite recipes and articles, so I can easily retrieve them later. (In paper copy I turn down page or mark with a pen) 3) like all other reviewers, the app seems to forget that I have a subscription, and the app is not correctly synchronized to SL database

Southern Living. When asked to sign in, the site will not accept my password. When I tried to reset my password I get a box that appears on top of (covering) the "enter your email address" box that says "confirm your email address". Therefore, I get an error when I enter it. I even tried to renew my subscription, even though it doesn't expire until June, but am still not able to sign in. I love the magazine. It would be nice if I could read it!

Colorful and easy to use. So great to have this magazine to take with me, and being a subscriber, it's free. I probably read more of it now than I did in the print edition. My only wish would be, if it could be read in landscape form, not just profile form.

Wonderful. I really enjoy the Southern Living digital edition. It is great! Although I get Southern Living in print also, I can always have the current and past editions on hand for review. All my favorite articles and recipes are readily accessible.

Can’t access previous issues. Since downloading the new app I have lost my magazines going back to 2013. Emails back and forth with customer service still hasn’t resolved the problem. Never should have updated the app!

Impressed!. I found that it was very easy to convert my print subscription to electronic. I loved that all my past issues immediately showed up as well. Surprisingly, I liked reading SL on my iPad more than the print issues. Never would have thought that!

Horrible app. Work needs to be done on this app. The help option is a joke. I can log into my account but like others have lost downloaded magazines and unable to download current issues without paying. If I try to log on with my account number the site responds that they are having issues - try again later. I have received this message for over a week so it's time someone resolves their issues!

can't get in. I've been a print subscriber for 25+ years. Southern Living should make a musical and play it with live action on my front. porch for my patronage. But noooooooo, seems while they acknowledge I'm a subscriber, I cannot get past the circular logic of the login, confirmation, new password, etc. protocol. I'm glad I still have the hard copy to look at. Furthermore, Southern Living would be better if it was still about the south and not inclusive of Northern, Western....every other U.S. vacation idea/ region and culture. Like it used to be.

Southern Living Mag doesn't disappoint. This app is really easy to use. Really like having magazine to hold & flip through, but this is a perfect app. Very easy to get to specific article or flip through pages. Extra content is great also & I highly recommend this one!

Love it!. Since I have paper subscription to Southern Living, I receive an email promoting the IPad App. I followed the instructions, downloaded this app and had no problems logging in. I downloaded several back issues. The only thing I would like to see is a way to bookmark a page. I have the IPad 3 and the vivid/crisp colors are incredible. I love it!!

Worst app developed by the dregs of the print world. I am a subscriber. Imagine my disappointment when I discover I will be unable to view my downloaded issues. I paid for them, but some Nazi decided I would have to take a lot of my lieder time to download this material again. I am now a former subscriber. You have no regard for my time or your obligations. You are unthinking, uncaring and a failure in holding up you end of our agreement. I can waste my time in some way that excludes you. Goodbye.

Great, but no way to bookmark. The one feature I really wish this is the ability to bookmark pages in the magazine, as you would in a real magazine. This way I could easily locate recipes I wanted to go back to, etc. Other than that it's great, I like the text pop ups and such.

Southern Living. Seems quite good. I like the fact that I can discard or recycle the pubs and still have all the wonderful recipes and articles to reference. Seems to down load much faster than some of the other publications I've downloaded.

Long time subscriber. I've been a fan of Southern Living since I was young, reading my Mom's magazines. This app is terrible and customer service is terrible. I've had problems for about 5 months, can't view past or current magazines. I've spoken to CS several times and emailed. It is ridiculous how many times I've been told to delete the app and then download again as if this is the answer. I'm so frustrated and too much time has been devoted to being on hold for a problem that I don't seem to be having with other digital subscriptions.

Ok. This is great to be able to read my issues on my iPad. I just wish you could bookmark a page or recipe but there is no way to do that. I just had the app for 24 hours and already it crashed about 11 times while I was reading it. To copy a recipe I have to take a pic of my screen and then email it to myself to print it out. Not at all what they made this out to be. Very misleading when you read about how great the app is. But like I said before its nice to be able to read the mag. On my iPad.

Terrible update. I tried to open up Southern Living on my iPad this morning and was directed to update before continuing. I did so, since I didn't have a choice. However, now I am unable to progress by the "fill in your address" page, even though the app shows that I am in fact logged in. I'd wanted to get an early start on the day, grab a recipe I'm making for tonight and get to the store. Instead I spent half an hour trying to gain access to something that worked perfectly just a few days ago. Horrible update!

Southern Living Digital Magazine APP. I read the other recent reviews and, thankfully, have had no problems. The colors are sharp and true, the "pages" are easy to enlarge. I have vision problems and the larger text and pictures make it easy for me to enjoy the magazine. I love this magazine and have subscribed for 30 years. I will especially love this APP.

Love SL app!!!. Have not had any problems with either the older version or the newer. Was very easy to restore all my previous issues following recent upgrade. Is one of the only magazines that give subscribers a digital version for free. I am very happy with this app!!!!

Better than the magazine itself. This app is so easy to navigate! The intensity of the colors through my iPad are so vivid! I thought I'd miss the tactile pleasure of the magazine, but find this version more comprehensive and, of course, more portable, being able to take a year's worth of magazines on the road with me when I travel without the bulk! Thanks, Southern Living!

I love Southern Living on my iPad. I have subscribed to Southern Living for many years and have always enjoyed it but now with this great SL app, I catch myself looking at past months issues, as before, you can only keep so many issues before discarding them! I love this app!!

Can’t access my April issue. I wrote customer service because I couldn’t access my April issue. It would only let me buy or start a trial. I received a response from customer service telling me to download the app for Southern Lady. I sent a response back saying I needed access to my April issue of Southern Living and have not heard back from customer service since. I have been a subscriber for years and want to know why suddenly I can’t download an issue.

Love it!. I have always loved the magazine, but having the app is just the icing on the cake! There is so much more to get out of a subscription when you have the app to use! The extras are wonderful little hidden surprises behind everywhere. So glad to get more out of my SL magazine now than ever before!!! :-)))))

Beyond confusing. I don't know where to begin reviewing this app, because I have been unsuccessful in getting it to work. I did manage to download one edition to my ipad from my paid subscription.....but, it disappeared. One time I access the app, I can log in, and the next time, it does not recognize my info. I select the download option and only a portion of the issue downloads. I seem to go in circles when navigating this app. Maybe it works beautifully and I don't know the trick. I am not computer illiterate...just Southern Living app illiterate, I guess.

SL is great!. Wonderful app. Most complaints I see are not because app does not work but because users do not know how to use it. I went through a learning curve also. It just takes some experimenting and following the directions.

Like the print version better. I love this magazine but the digital version is not as good as the print version. Some of the pages are missing and the print on one page is sometimes referring to the pictures on the opposite page. I also don't like that we don't have access to the latest version even though you are a subscriber and have the edition in your house

App stopped working at renewal. The app reproduced the magazine beautifully (within the limits of the iPad), but at renewal time this year, the app has no longer downloaded new issues. All new issues are marked for purchase, instead of being properly included in my subscription. Same issue as so many others are reporting.

Good App. This is the first mag I have subscribed to where I can also get the issue online. The online version is easy to use and intuitive, with simple directions when needed. Southern Living is a great magazine --seeing the pictures on an IPad is a real treat!

Nice App. Almost perfect: Add Bookmarks or saved pages.. I enjoy reading SL on my iPad and leaving my new print copies for our house guests to take to the beach. I wish I could bookmark pages though, it would allow me to refer back to my favorite articles when I talk to friends about that "something I read in SL" that I want to show off or share.

Vibrant and delightful. This app works quite nicely and is smooth in comparison to others. Much like others have posted, I think the app needs a few features like the anility to tear and save as well as links to related websites. Great addition to my iPad and an excellent companion to my print subscription.

Problems.... I love SL but do agree the latest changes are not very e-friendly on my iPad mini. My other problem is longstanding. My Newstand shows all my magazines with their latest Feb. editions. SL shows the Christmas special edition issue. I know you want to sell these special editions and I may be interested but I'd like to see the latest issue displayed in the Newstand. I have totally switched to e-magazines so these things do matter to me.

Good app but .... I wish one can subscribe to just the electronic version without being a subscriber of the paper version. I stopped subscribing to magazines because I hated having stacks of old magazines around the house. Subscribing electronically solves that problem and make for easy access to the most current issue at all times. Please!!!!

Worst. This app is so bad - first time writing a review simply because I've never had such a bad experience with any other app. I used to love this magazine. Now I hate it because the digital downloads are so difficult to access and work smoothly. I wanted a nice magazine to relax with, not be frustrated with. Have to reset passwords constantly, hard to use across devices, poor navigation in app, just swipe swipe swipe. No more digital subscriptions for me.

Will not work. App downloaded fine, but when I click on print customer and fill in my info, it gives an error message and won't move on from there.....UPDATE-Finally got it to work. Had to remove the app a couple times, reload it Nd then do the subscriber sign in a couple times. Now it works great!

So happy to be home. I've Lived in New England for 10 years and Arizona for the 10 prior to that and I've forever missed the first 20 years of my life being raised in Georgia- reading Southern Living- now it's a 30 second download away every month and I could not be happier with the content.

Technical problems being fixed. We are aware there is a technical problem with our magazine apps. We have alerted Apple and they are looking into getting it fixed as quickly as possible so you can enjoy your latest issue of Southern Living.

Can’t access my magazines after update. I’ve been exchanging emails with the new app support to no avail. I answer their questions and then two days later I receive the same message again asking me to respond. Finally, today I was sent an email assuming my problem had been resolved when it hasn’t! I’ve subscribed to SL for years and when I tried to sign in with my email it acted like I didn’t have an account. I’m so disappointed that I’ve lost years of digital magazines.

Very Nice. The only problem I had was finding a particular recipe that was featured but is nowhere to be found. Otherwise it is a beautiful app and I would have given it five stars. On my iPad 2 the pictures seem more vibrant than the magazine if that's possible. I'm very pleased.

App good when it lets password work. I had trouble initially getting the app to work and then got it working. Now it keeps telling me that my password or email address is incorrect. It will not let me login. I am willing to change my password but when I state that I forgot my password I have never received an email or notice to change my password. This app has been more trouble than it is worth.

Great!. I think this is the best thing ever. I called and the Southern Living Customer Service number and the tech helped me with everything. For y'all that are experiencing problems contact SL direct and they'll walk you through it step by step. The guy was so helpful and patient and I'm not very computer knowledgeable. I love not having to drag my magazine around everywhere.

Nice app. Have a subscription but having it now to read on my iPad or computer is great as issues seem to disappear. The only request is to be apple to print recipes or other articles which is why 4 stars and not 5. Like all new apps there will be fine tuning and updates. Not sure what other people are having troubles with loading and signing up was easy.

Really like this app!. This downloads very quicklyto my iPad, and I love being able to refer to each issue without lugging out a stack of thick magazines. The photos look awesome, and the recipes are super easy to find. An i,prove, ent might be to add a way to bookmark favorites, but that wouls just be icing on the cake.

Missing app. App went missing today! July issue is in my newsstand but all my past issues are gone...is this the way it is suppose to work? Hope not...I want my app and past issues back! App showed up in my newsstand...now they want me to sign in again...old issues still missing. This has got to be the worst app in history. I have been trying for an hour to restore my issues and everywhere I turn is a dead end. Glad I at least have a print account...

No Bookmarking?. Love that they've allowed us long-time print subscribers to finally use an electronic version, however I don't think we can bookmark, clip articles, send great recipes by e-mail, or generally tear it apart like I do the print version! If a future update allows this feature, like Zinio has, then this is an absolute 5-star app!

Wonderful App!. I was overjoyed when I flipped to the page that said I could get Southern Living on my iPad! Grabbed my iPad and downloaded the app within minutes. Thank you! Now I can take my favorite magazine with me everywhere!

Southern Living app. Love it and the updates. I find I'm more likely to read the mag because I usually always have my iPad with me. Easy to navigate and love the bonus features iPad users receive. Only thing on my wish list would be the ability to bookmark pages/recipes. Otherwise, two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Latest update. I’m disappointed in the latest update. I don’t like the scrolling or the latest “from the web” section. If I want it to look the web, I’ll go there. I want a magazine app to work like turning the pages of a magazine. I want to see the issues I currently have access to on one screen in an easy to read grid. The “new look” does none of this. It’s slow and fuzzy. Pleas fix it, I won’t renew if it stays like this and I don’t do paper mags.
