Went from Disappointed to Satisfied. New review: I’m editing my original review because I now understand how streaming only works. I subscribe to this app every summer when there is little to watch. I will say that Hallmark has since added new movies and have even released the new series TV shows weekly. So I went from disappointed to satisfied. I’m extremely disappointed with this service. There are no current titles and they do not list any of the movies that is currently being aired. Unfortunately, by the time I figured it out, my free week was over and now I’m committed to a year. I have found some great series I want to watch, but the cost of the service does not make up for all of the movies I can’t watch. If Hallmark was at all concerned about customer service, they’d listen and revamp their app. Other apps list all of their current and old series. This is what I expected from the Hallmark Movies Now app. I have the Hallmark Movie Checklist and the movies are not available.

LOVE IT! ~ BTW there are TWO Hallmark Apps to choose from. Hallmark Movies Now (HMN) features some of the older movies (approx 1998 to 2015, I’d say). And has great movies for Christmas and other holidays. It also features comedy, romance, and drama series that I haven’t seen elsewhere.... For the kind review titled “I Don’t Get It”, you may be interested in Hallmark Channel Everywhere (HCE) which is another Hallmark app — it features their newer movies. So you get to choose your venue by choosing your app.... Customer Service is Excellent! Each time I’ve had an issue or question, they replied and fixed it in 24-48 hours. So... the Hallmark movies I want to see, and prompt courteous service, all for $5.99 a month. I’m Blessed! Thank you for creating Hallmark Apps! 🦋✝️🌸🌼🌸😀 Elizabeth

This Rating is for the App not the Content. This App is in need of a serious programming team. Every third episode you’ll get a message, Playback not available. The hack is to open the App on your phone, start the episode or movie, then reopen the App on your TV, finally the streaming will usually start. The App opens painfully slow, loads even slower and switching between Seasons, Episodes, genres is almost impossible. I can’t imagine who manages the App upgrades for Hallmark but they must not test the App afterwards. The problem does not exist in any other Apps that I use on my phone or tv. It is a Hallmark issue. If you notice, the last bug fix was one month ago. Other streaming Apps conduct upgrades and bug fixes almost daily. I do enjoy the content very much so I contend with it.

Wish It Was Closer To Hallmark Channel. I travel lots so I don’t have cable at home and was hoping that this app would allow me to watch the movies I love but don’t always get to watch because many hotels don’t have the Hallmark channel. After months of paying a high premium for this channel, I’m disappointed. I pay for other network channels and I get to watch what I miss. Hallmark doesn’t give me the same opportunity and I pay almost 3 times more for Hallmark than other network channels. On a positive note, they did have more movies with people of color as main characters in love than the Hallmark. That was refreshing and raised my rating. Unfortunately, it’s not enough for me to keep paying so much.

Just OK. We decided to cut the cord on our expensive cable bill. My favorite channel was Hallmark. So we signed up for Hallmark Movies Now. There was very little information about the app & they gave it wonderful advertisement without telling you how limited it is. While all the movies we have watched have been very good, they are older & some even outdated. None of the newer movies we thought would be included are there. The app is difficult to figure out & move around in. Some of the movies don’t save your place if you stop midway & then have to find your place when you come back in. Some have been difficult to find again. Both the app & selection need work but since it is my only choice without cable, I will hang in there. It can only get better.

Needs improvement. This app is good, but whenever the shows don’t update whenever they say they are going to show the next episode it gets frustrating. I have been watching the way home and it’s supposed to give new episodes every Thursday, but this has yet to happen… I keep checking for updates on the app and check to see if the new episode has uploaded yet but still nothing. It has been about two weeks and I still haven’t seen the 4th episode on the app.. I might as well just wait on the episodes to come onto the dish network hallmark channel since this can’t seem to actually give me the new episodes like it says. If this could get fixed and they put newer content on the app it would definitely be way more appealing to keep. I personally love hallmark channel and everything, but sometimes this app makes it frustrating and sometimes makes me wanna cancel my subscription due to this inconvenience… please fix this so I can keep watching the latest hallmark shows and movies.

Countdown to Christmas. The app is great and functions well. Easy to navigate, sometimes glitches when I go from watching on my phone to watching on my computer saying I’m watching on more than one device even if I closed out on the other device. Other than that no issues on function. I love watching Christmas movies and came here for just that. I signed up last year and was EXTREMELY bummed to learn that the new countdown to Christmas movies were not on there. This year I’m even more bummed to learn that last years movies are not on there and there are barely any new movies from what was on their last year. I wish that you would do one of two things. Add more new Christmas movies to the movies and mistletoe section or make a movies and mistletoe app so we can pay for just that. I’m even ok if I have to watch them a year behind but currently I don’t get to watch any of them at all and I don’t think that is fair for 5.99 a month. I would love to hear back from someone about this. Thank you for your time in reading.

Love Hallmark Movies and Shows but...... I really love Hallmark Movies, shows and series but their app leaves a lot to be desired as far as content goes. Signed up for a year and enjoyed watching some old shows but quickly got tired of the same old shows being rotated through as something new. Took a break of about eight months and resigned up when they changed the name on their app hoping that they had updated the content as well. A few newer shows but actually still had shows from almost two years before. Don’t expect to receive access to the rich library of hallmark shows or even on demand access to current shows. Probably will let my subscription lapse again unless they fix the content problem.

3.5 out of 5. While I enjoy watching hmn since they updated their content, it’s quite annoying that it makes you log in again once you turn on your device again the next day. It mostly keeps your recent watch history but you can’t read about the content or go to the next movie ‘content’ from one movie, it starts playing right away without letting you read what it is about. The other similar problem is that you can’t read content on your watch history, it also wants to play right away instead of giving you a ‘read content’ option. Nice app but not the most user friendly one and can get on your nerves. That’s why 3.5 rating. I’d be happy to update my review once app is more user friendly.

Hallmark won’t help you if you have issues.... I am writing this as a review of two Hallmark apps. I am putting this her as they removed the other app. I had both this app and the eCards app. A few years ago I had issues signing in on this app. I contacted Hallmark and got told it was an Apple issue. I contacted Apple and they explained why it wasn’t their problem but really Hallmarks. Contacted Hallmark again and no help and a refusal to return my money. I canceled my subscription. Fast forward to now and they eCards stoped working correctly. I wrote a review asking for help (and I had just renewed my subscription). They then removed the app and contacted me. After having to answer sever emails I just got a reply that basically made it all facebooks fault that it didn’t work so once again “passing the buck” to make it not their fault and no offer to return my money. Completely disappointed in this company and their lack of support.

If you’re charging for content, give the new stuff, too.. We recently made the switch to internet based live tv and I was missing my Hallmark Christmas movies and was stoked to find this. Unfortunately these movies are all old and seem to be the cast off movies. If you’re paying for content, Hallmark should be giving you its newest movies too. Hallmark missed the mark big time on this one! I was given error messages during the setup process and told that my payment wasn’t accepted for the ‘trial’ of this app. I wasn’t able to set up the app for use with my device or my internet tv device. Just over a week later I received a $5.99 charge to my credit card. Hmmmm... I wasn’t too bummed because I was excited to have Hallmark movies again. UNTIL I REALIZED THEY WERE OLD MOVIES!!!! I promptly canceled. Sad that I was charged for a bogus app. Definitely NOT worth $5.99.

Continuing Disappointment. Every week I am watching a movie from one of your four channels (Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies Now) that is not listed in your app. It forces me to not only track movies I’ve watched in the app, but also on my cable network. There is nothing more frustrating than getting into a movie that I’ve recorded to find that I’ve already seen it. And Hallmark Movies Now doesn’t keep good records of movies I’ve watched across the different apps. To truly be a value, ALL of your movies should be here for ALL of your channels! From my point of view, each channel should provide a list of what will be playing in the coming month and it should be added. Frankly, I’d be willing to do this for y’all from home. And I bet I’m not the only one. Or add a feature where users can add a movie to their database and as many details as they can. There are ways to make this inclusive of all of your movies because as we both know...there are a gazillion of them!

It’s buggy but good.. I am really enjoying the app. I don’t mind the old content and was expecting that. I think they have lots of good movies on here! My only complaint is that the app can be buggy. A few times now it has suddenly closed out of the app, and when I reopen it and click on the movie I’m watching, it says “playback over cellular disabled” and then won’t let me watch anything and says it’s something I have to fix in my settings. Everything is turned on correctly in my settings though, and after an hour or so it will let me hit play again. Very frustrating when it happens, but otherwise I enjoy the app. I hope they get the bugs worked out soon.

Paid for subscription, and have yet to be able watch. We bought this app for my grandmother’s (she LOVES Hallmark!) TV, when we couldn’t get it to work, we got a Roku and was finally able to get it it up and running (after months of going back and forth on email, it takes WEEKS to get a response). She was able to watch 2 movies and now it doesn’t want to load, and then logged her out. So we loaded it onto our new AppleTV in our living room so we could let her watch it. It’s a hit or miss if it works, and it logs her out a lot. Half the time it errors out when she clicks on a movie. Our grandmother is 92 years old and just wants to be able to watch her movies. We bought this for her as a present last year (Octoberish of 2021), and this has turned out to be a miserable headache for us, much less a huge disappointment for her. We prepaid for a 1 year subscription and we have really been able to enjoy it. I wish we could get a refund because this is ridiculous to go 2+weeks in between their email “canned” response. Like do you guys even READ the emails?? The information you ask for is in there, to take 2+ weeks to ask us information on what what was already in the email was painfully frustrating!!! Save your money…this app isn’t worth the headache.

Cuts off end of episode. I love this app not only because it has no commercials, but also because of the wonderful way it flows through from one episode of When Calls the Heart to the next. That, however, is a double edged sword since in doing that, it frequently jumps to the next episode before this episode is over. It often happens right at the good part of the end of the episode. If the next episode preview doesn’t recap that cut off part, you have no clue what you missed in the story unless you can figure out from the ongoing story what must have happened. It is especially disappointing on season finale episodes where cliffhangers happen (I.e. where they inform Elizabeth that Jack was killed). 🤨😡 Come on Hallmark!!! I’d much rather see a few credits than miss the end of the episode! How hard can it be to fix this???!!!!

Please fix her up and the TV side for fire stick as well…. I am a lover of all of the Hallmark movies and was very excited to come across this app.. here’s the thing, though on the phone or on the TV, it will take movies off your watchlist, doesn’t give you the option to continue watching what you were watching, if you go into read a description of a movie, then go back out it starts you at the very top of your list, it crashes way too often and freezes up. I like a lot of the other reviews was expecting to have more options of movies especially older movies to partake in. I thought the movies on the “Hallmark Channel” or “Hallmark Movies and Mysteries” would be available on this app. but sadly that’s not the case. Consequently I cannot watch any of the movies that are on the other two Hallmark channels because I do not have a TV subscription because I only stream. I feel with the amount of money that everyone spends on the app there shouldn’t be as many bugs as there is. I can’t honestly say if I would recommend this app or not if the current way it is taken care of. please fix these problems. Please add more movie content, especially from some of the earlier years. Thank you.

Interface could use some improvements. We like the available content - we understood coming in that it wasn’t the same stuff shown on the cable channel. But I have a couple of gripes about the interface. The big one has to do with the fact that it doesn’t keep you logged in. Having to re-log in after a few hours of inactivity is annoying - most similar apps will keep you logged in or at least let you authenticate with a fingerprint. It would also be nice to more easily find things that you have “in progress”, so it’s easier to resume what you’re watching, instead of having to dig to find it.

It does the job of showing movies so it gets two stars. But it does the job very poorly.. So first the app: the app when all is said and done it’s basically awful. It randomly will drop things off your watchlist—I think it does it if you watch it—but what if you want to save the movie for later viewing because you loved it so much? It doesn’t usually keep track of what movie you were watching in any kind of easy to find format nor does it remember where you were half the time. (Especially true if the app crashed or your battery died) It has series movies and will actually tell you if it is movie nine of 12 but it does not have an easy way to show you what are movies one through nine. Recommended related movies make no sense and appear to be whatever they are pushing. Now about the service (which is not influencing the stars rating): I was under the impression you would get access to basically every single Hallmark movie there is out there. That is not true. You get access to a small selection, maybe 100, and some TV shows. I don’t know if there’s anything current or not because I don’t know what is current but it’s not like I have months and months viewing material here. Also, many of the movies are off-season, so they are offering autumn movies in May. As I said, it will allow you to view the movie and for that he gets two stars, but it overall is a very poorly designed app and one I am highly disappointed in as well as the service.

Tempermental. Love having the movies in one place to watch when I want, but the app is definitely defective. Whether watching on my phone, ipad, or AppleTV, I often run into problems with it not loading. It has also been known to sign me out on its own. Also, just now I decided to rewind a part in a movie I was watching. Something went wrong and it took me back to the begining, which wouldn’t have been a big deal, but then let it wouldn’t let me forward back to where I needed to be. It just took me straight to the end. Like I said, I love having access to all these movies, but the app is quite tempermental and sometimes it’s just not even worth it.

Waste of Money/Subscription. *DO NOT GET IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR OLD HALLMARK MOVIES* Do not buy or subscribe! Very deceiving advertising. I purchased a month to month subscription thinking I’d get all the classic Hallmark movies of the past, but this is bottom of the barrel movies that I’m not even sure have been aired on the hallmark channels. If you’re looking for any Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, Alicia Witt, Danica McKellar, or any of the classic Hallmark Hunks avoid this app and subscription. It has nothing you are looking for. I’m honestly mad I wasted 10 bucks on truly horrific movies. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. I really thought that this would house the old hallmark movies of Christmas past, but I guess you just have to catch them on cable at 4am and not the app they ask you to spend money on. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Do better Hallmark. Very lame.

Hallmark Movies. Todays movies is full of violence, sex, and disappointment. Hallmark brings happiness, joy, and entertainment to there movies. I love Home and Family. Yes most of the time I will know the ending of the movie and that Is ok. I would like a little more mystery for their Movies and Mystery series so I can not figure out the ending. Nevertheless, I have had a lot of sadness and stress this past 2 years. I am sure a lot of other people have too. I turn to Hallmark Channel when I feel down and sad. Try it, you make think the same. If not, fine something that brings you happiness. Thank you Hallmark for being there for me.

Decent for the price but still a disappointment. I love finally having access to some of Hallmarks content but was disappointed because I paid for a few months of the service hoping I would get to watch all the Christmas movies. Even if they didn’t want to give us access to all their Christmas movies it was still such a small amount of holiday releases that I watched it all by the first week of December and then only released a few more after that. Also, there should be a feature that shows what you have recently watched because if you start a show or movie and don’t remember the name of it, you won’t be able to find it again without scrolling through all the content again. I would have just appreciated more info about what would be released on the app before I paid ie we love giving you access to our older movies and shows and while we won’t release 2019 movies on here there is enough to keep you happy through the New Year. At least then I would have kept waiting and expecting new content to come out

Just downloaded today. I downloaded this app on my Apple TV today and started the free trial. It crashed 5/6 times before I managed to select a movie and watch it. Not great, but at least I saw a movie. I then selected a second one to find out I’d been logged out by the app. I tried logging in again. It wouldn’t accept the password I’d created 2 hours earlier. I tried to log in via my iPhone. Still no joy. So I reset the password. Tried again to log in with the new password. Again no joy. Tried contacting customer service to find out they closed 5 minutes before and won’t be open until tomorrow morning. I created a brand new profile uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Tried to log in with the new profile. Same result. Obviously the server is down. How can customers be expected to wait a full day for service?!?!? This is truly horrible in this day and age. I’ve sent an email as instructed. I got an automated response. I replied with more detail and nothing. If I have to wait a full day, I’m cancelling the trial. Not worth the hassle if it is going to crash regularly and keep logging me out!!!

Love Hallmark hate the App. Love Hallmark but the app is awful to use. I have it on my phone and TVs. It constantly logs me out. My phone won’t recognize the log in page so I can not store the log in info to make it easier with the fact the app will not stay logged in! I can use it one day and the next I am logged off. Sometimes even in the same day. Having to go through the log in almost every time I use it on the TV is ridiculous and so time consuming! Every other app I use stays logged in but this one. If it was just one device then it would be the device but it’s the phone and 2 TVs!! They also don’t update the movies that much. Same movies all the time with minimal changes. It will say new movies but they are not new and 2 months prior it gave me the same movies as newly added! More selection would be nice. When paying for a streaming service they should be offering new movies and a better selection. Hallmark has thousands of movies so why is the app so limited!

Disappointed! And highly disrespectful!!!!. I was expecting way more of this app. I love Hallmark, all of their Christmas movies and series are amazing, and so, I was expecting to find what I love… come to find that my favorite movies are not there, the only thing I could catch up was When calls the heart. Additionally, the subtitles don’t work at all… my foreign relatives can’t enjoy watching with me because there’s no way to make the subtitles match the actual spoken language… bottom line… not worth it! Also, be aware that I took the time to read the replies from hallmark admins to the reviews, and basically they say “call us to hear you complaining, and you’re right, there’s little material uploaded, but that should be enough for you”… how is that even respectful or even making any sense… don’t waste your time and money!!!!

Great idea, not there yet.... The viewer offers no way to easily skip forward 10-15 seconds and freezes when sliding the viewing timeline, even with great internet service, very frustrating. Also, only old movies are offered and not a lot at that. With the free trial of one week, you will pretty much see what you want to see out of this app and not want to subscribe. Great idea but needs a lot of work. Needs a more versatile viewer and the ability to preview would be really nice too (not currently offered). Needs a greater selection of movies and shows if going to support subscription worth and costs. Ideally, it would be nice to subscribe to Hallmark directly to watch current Hallmark movies and not have to go through a cable provider. That’s what I’m really wanting. Apparently, that is not yet offered by Hallmark.

Love the content; lots of technical difficulties. I love the content; that’s why I bought a subscription and downloaded the app. Unfortunately, I keep having problems with it on the technical front. I have NEVER gotten it to work on my phone (unless I unhooked it from WiFi and used up all my data for the month), while it works on our iPad, and both are connected to the same WiFi! Customer service did give me lots of suggestions, they just didn’t work. :( Also, several times I have logged in on the iPad (the working device), to be told the server isn’t working right now. I don’t have this problem with my Netflix apps; but I would rather watch the Hallmark content! So while I like what they offer, it is a real hassle for some reason for me. I hope it is not for you! The membership price is great so you could always give it a try, and they sometimes offer a free month.

Disappointed. I was looking forward to watching more current movies and shows but was okay with what was offered until the app was upgraded and supposedly improved. Now nothing seems to be working right. The changes made were so different from the previous way the app worked that it needs a user’s guide to navigate. It also doesn’t respond very well while trying to use the functions. I find myself frustrated with how clunky it’s become. The other night while watching one of the shows it froze five times in the final ten minutes of the show and said there was a technical issue that I should check in the app settings. Well, I couldn’t find the app settings anywhere in the app or in my settings. This is definitely one of the worst apps I have. It’s really a shame since I love Hallmark’s programming but this is almost making me think of unsubscribing.

Don’t be fooled you still need cable. I had high hopes for this app and was a subscriber for two years. During that time very little content was added and the movies are so old, hardly anything new. I kept my subscription so I could watch the When Calls The Heart spin-off When Hope Calls only to find out 6 months later they brought to Hallmark channel. That was the final straw for me. Why am I paying for app only content that you then decide to just put on your cable channel anyway. I’m a cord cutter and basically just buy the When Calls The Heart season on iTunes, and use my friends cable login to unlock the Hallmark app, which is also limited but at least has the new content on it. This is a great idea and could be an amazing extension of their current offerings, but right now it’s treated like the red-headed step-child.

New and Not So Happy. I would so love to give this app a 5 star rating…. But since I signed up for the first free week. I wasn’t able to access anything until after the first week and even then I wasn’t allowed to view anything until a couple days later. Wasn’t to happy about that so I finally am able to access everything and now it just keeps freezing. So I can’t rewind or it’ll freeze if I pause for more than 2 minutes it freezes. I’m kind of over it and I’m not really one to complain but I really love my Hallmark movies that’s why I pay for them. But to not be able to watch them is a huge problem for me. I have also tried on my desktop and it does the same thing even if you refresh close out and try again nothing. I just thought for as long as this has been out it should be up with the times. This app along with your site needs a MAJOR UPDATE. No worries though I still love my Hallmark Movies.

Not Worth It. Subscription waste of money. Fix please. I’d pay in a heartbeat if they had ALL their content on this. However, barely any of the movies they air on this. There’s a bunch of old stuff. And they barely have any new original content on it. Not worth it. I also didn’t appreciate their stunt of pulling in the Key of Love off air last minute and putting it here instead. Then they plan to air the first two episodes of When Hope Calls to lure us into a subscription. I’d pay for it, but as I’ve said, nothing else is on here. I’ve been a loyal Hallmark viewer for years and I don’t appreciate the way the are trying to make an extra buck. I work too hard to throw away the little money I make. Please Hallmark, do better, make it worth it and I’ll pay! Ps - what happened to a new movie every Weekend?

Eh…... The app runs slow. I know your probably thinking it’s my internet but I have the best that I can get from AT&T and it’s the only one that buffers all the time and will totally freeze so that you have to get out and come back in…. Find the movie you were watching again and then fast forward to where you left off. Definitely not my favorite I’d like to say that the amount of shows and how current the shows are doesn’t reflect in my star rating but it probably does. I specifically got the app because I knew that I would be traveling a lot over the holidays and wanted to see all the new holiday movies and NOT ONE was on there. Most streaming lines know that people are dropping cable and if we are specifically paying extra for an app then we want the most current stuff. Ok, so don’t give it to us the day it comes out; wait a day or two…. But we should still get the current movies. With that said, I’ve dropped my renewal.

Not Worth It. For those who want to say there’s another Hallmark app to use, you must have a cable or satellite provider to access it, so...it’s kind of missing the point. I don’t have cable or satellite or SlingTV anymore because it seemed pointless to pay for it primarily to watch Hallmark movies at Christmas and mystery movies in the spring. But apparently that is really my only option if I want to watch *any* of their popular, recent movies or series. I find this really frustrating and immediately cancelled my trial membership when I discovered this. I don’t know why you would even offer an app with a monthly fee for your mostly old and not-so-great movies and shows. I was led to believe I would have access to Hallmark’s *entire* library of shows, whenever I wanted, and that’s the only reason I signed up. I’ve never left an app review in my life, and this annoyed me so much I was compelled to share. Why is it so highly rated?! This app/subscription isn’t worth the money.

Not enough content. I cut the cord a year ago on cable because the amount of television I watched versus how much the bill was costing just wasn’t worth it. The only channel I miss is Hallmark, and more specifically the Countdown to Christmas on the channel. I found out about this app and I was elated!! I quickly downloaded the app and said “here, take my money!” After 7 days of watching the app and feasting on all things mistletoe, I’ve gone through all the content. Now, I don’t binge! I don’t have that kind of time. What I’m trying to say here is, the same 12 movies are all that are available! No new content has changed and with the shear amount of content that is available on the channel, I’m perplexed. How is it that cable customers pay the monthly rate for 100’s of channels and I pay $5 for one and I get very little??? That does not compute. I’m ending my subscription at the end of the month, which is so sad because I would most happily watch Christmas movies all. Year. Long!

Love this App!. I love this app. I have seen so many reviews and comments about the content being older, but what do you expect? Why would Hallmark have their newest shows and movies on an app? Other networks do the same thing, it’s a business, which I understand. I love catching up on movies and shows I have not seen in years. It is absolutely worth the price, but probably won’t keep it long because there is so little content, it will not take long to get through what I want to watch. But no contracts so it is worth it!! I would love to see older tv shows on here, much like Sue Thomas. There are other family shows I would like to see them purchase and have on here, like Doc and Promised Land. They could offer more of their older movies, but they have a decent number of them. My only complaint is around functionality. It does not save the place where you left off watching a show so you have to scroll through to remember what episode you were on. It also fast forwards and rewinds weird. It skips over huge blocks of time and you cannot see scenes as you’re going so hard to find the specific spot you want. I have had it crash a couple of times, too. So far it always reopens, but it looses my spot and finding it again is hard with the way it fast forwards. Again, totally worth the money even though it has room for improvement.

Love the Hallmark Channel. I do! I love it! When I had cable, I would watch the Hallmark channel every weekend. The movies are such a feel good, but... The subscription to this app is very disappointing. I don’t watch the series shows, just the movies and the app is very limited. I assumed, and shame on me that I would be able to watch the same movies that are showing on cable now. Not the case. The movies are old and we are limited on how many new movies come out each month. When I say new, I mean movies that weren’t already showing not current. I’d like to see more movies, more current movies, less series shows. Every weekend there are movies running all day, new current movies. I can fill my weekend watching Hallmark movies. I can barely fill my night with what is on this app. My subscription is about to run out. I’m giving it the year, if it doesn’t pick up, I’m out. It’s been a year, I am about to cut it off. I got on the app this evening and it has logged me out! I haven’t signed in since I first got the subscription. I have tried to get a new password and nothing. Of course customer service is closed. So, now I can’t watch anything. Seriously the worst app ever! Same OLD movies over and over, absolutely NOTHING NEW! If you had planned on subscribing DONT! You WILL be VERY disappointed. It really is a shame, I love the movies and don’t have cable, I was hoping I could enjoy those great feel good movies that are on cable, but NO!

Love Hallmark Channel!. I absolutely love y’all’s movies and When Calls the Heart(though I miss Abigail she was my favorite character, all she did was pay a college extra money, maybe she thought she had to and was just trying to do what’s best for her kids give her a break) we do not have cable, so this app is a blessing. Thank you so much. We have this on Rocky as well. Suggestion which is completely unrelated: So like idk if y’all would ever do it, but you should totally make one of those apps that like you choose what happens in the story(like Choices and Episodes minus all the inappropriate stuff) because they are very fun and y’all make great appropriate-for-all-ages movies. Y’all would be soooo good at that and we are in need of a fun app like that that is family-friendly. Thanks! P.S. You do not have to follow my suggestion because obviously y’all are a tv channel and not game making company, but I’ve seen some other tv shows and channels create games so it was just my suggestion.

Horrible TV & Phone App. Hallmark Movies Now - I just downloaded this app and signed up for the free trial before a subscription. One of the worst things about this app on my TV is when I’m in garage sale mystery I have to go back and read what it’s about then it takes you completely out. You have to scroll all the way down to garage sale mysteries again. It consumes so much battery on my device to go back to where I was along with being a pain. It is very clunky and not easy to use. Also it doesn’t have the ability to click into a program and it tell you what it’s about before it starts playing. Without that I don’t know if I am interested. Also, it states there’s hundreds of hours of movies, however, there are so many missing from what I used to watch on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. You’ll get four episodes of a program when there’s a lot more than that. Another thing I wish there was a way to always have close captioning on instead of having to go in and remember how to do it for each program. It’s also very difficult rewinding and fast forwarding. So far, I’m extremely disappointed and not sure if I’ll purchase the subscription unless this app gets better on my iPhone and television. I know I’m criticizing this app a lot, but I pay for six different subscriptions, and this one is the worst. Please work on the algorithms to improve the iPhone and television app. Thank you.

Very buggy. I would give this app a better review if Hallmark would fix the major bugs. There are two that are very annoying which is caused us from no longer using this app. This bugs refer to the Apple TV version I have no experience with other versions. On the Apple TV it constantly logs off. Multiple time a day I need to login again. The second is more of a nuisance. When watching a series if you try to go to the next episode before the timer runs out you get an error. The real annoying item is that Hallmark is aware of the problem and still after several weeks they have not fixed the issues. They only thing they have done is send an email saying that there are issues. This is surprising since all my prior experiences with addressing issues with there service have been very responsive. I had expected a resolution in a few days not a few weeks. So my low rating is for the development team in being so slow to fix the application issues.

Disappointing & Frustrating. Love the concept of the app, but it doesn’t work very well and I’m disappointed with the selection of shows/movies. If it were free, I would understand why only older shows and movies are available to view through the app. But it’s not free. Sure, I’m not paying for a full cable service here. Nonetheless, I still expected better. Set aside the poor choices available, and I’m frustrated with the performance of the app. Fast-forwarding or rewinding is an issue. The app often locks up, so I have to close out of it and reopen to get the movie to continue playing, and certain selections won’t play at all. The screen goes dark and a notification that “playback isn’t working” pops up. I checked for app updates, and none were available. I’m glad I opted to only pay for one month to try it out, versus paying for an entire year in advance.

App needs work. I downloaded the app a few days ago because I wanted to watch when calls the heart. However I’ve already noticed several things about the app that need work. I have to log in to the app every day, and sometimes multiple times a day. Just now it kicked me out in the middle of watching a show and asked me to log in. This is very frustrating! I have a lot of steaming service subscriptions and none of them make log in more than once, unless I try to get into my account details. The way the app is organized is also clunky and makes it hard to find things. Half the time it doesn’t bring up what I was in the middle of watching and I have to go searching for it. Also makes no sense why you would list single, specific episodes of a show as an item on the front page, just list the series as a whole. If you don’t read the fine print in the picture you won’t realize you are starting a specific episode and not going to a page about the series itself. I found that out the hard way. I think whoever developed this app needs to go and look at other streaming platforms and how they have done it. They don’t have to copy anyone, but it might help with ideas for improving the service. I’m not sure yet whether I will keep this app/service.

Update has ruined my subscription. I’m frustrated because since the last app update it won’t let me use it on my iPad! My iPad doesn’t have ios13 since it’s an older iPad but has worked perfectly for what I use it for. And since hmn’s app update you can’t even use the old app and since it requires iOS 13 I can’t use it. 🥺 I was excited for an update it was definitely necessary but I’m very disappointed that I can’t use it anymore unless I buy a new iPad. Which = a rather expensive hallmark subscription if you need to update your technology to use it. 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 Overall tho, content has been a bit more up to date recently. So that’s a plus for the, at least. I’ve enjoyed the app. This is just a frustrating issue.

App has very few key features. 1. If you’re paying for an app, I kind of expected that I’d get new and old content. But that’s not such a big deal. The content that is there will keep me entertained for a while. 2. No Picture in Picture is annoying as I normally need to check email as I’m watching. 3. Speaking for checking email, when I navigate away from the app, even for a short while, when I navigate back I have to scroll for days to find what I was watching. And sometimes it doesn’t “resume” and I have to fast forward to the approximate spot where I think I left off. 4. And speaking of fast forward- it’s weird and clunky. Hard to utilize with ease. 5. Did I mention no Picture in Picture option? I know I did but I wanted to add it twice because that’s super annoying for me.

App controls too small. Love that I can get access to Hallmark content without cable, but the app is frustrating. The control buttons are two small. I either end up finger-smashing my screen to try to get it to respond, or end up hitting the wrong control and messing up my video. In particular, the control to get out of a running video is the worst. The “exit full screen” one. It’s right next to the progress bar, so often instead of backing out to the main screen, I accidentally jump to the very end of the movie, and then can’t get it to stop because the pause button is too small. They time out, and the app closes them automatically. I’ve accidentally ended multiple movies this way, and am frustrated that I have to start them over again. Would love to see an update with larger controls. Also would love a picture-in-picture option.

Content good too many glitches. I usually only subscribe from October thru December, and always encounter glitches, some of which have been fixed. This year, however there have been too many. The worst is that even though they have taken my payment for the subscription, I frequently open the app to find it telling me I must subscribe to watch. Usually backing out and coming back in resolves the issue. Today, however, it will not recognize my subscription even though the bank shows payment made Another issue is that in some movies the movie cuts off mid sentence when there is still a few minutes in the movie and starts spooling for the next movie The other and very important issue is closed captioning issues. I have to set them every movie, and for some it won't work at all. If I press pause and swipe up to add cc, the option just disappears. In the past, cc had remained on once I choose. Now, even if I am watching movies back to back, I have to reset each time So basically I am paying for an app that frequently denies access, cuts movies off before they are complete, and does not allow cc for some movies. (the same movies did have cc in the past). I like the content both Christmas movies and the access to some Hallmark Hall of fame movies that I like to rewatch. But cannot see paying again for something that glitches so much

Needs work. While I’m happy overall with the selection of content and not having to watch commercials, there are issues with the functioning of the app. Like others have said, you have to log in EVERY TIME you open the app. If you just finish an episode in a series and click to watch the next one, the app stalls. You have to close the app and open it again. The app will often shut down. While there is a watchlist, it often doesn’t register what you’ve been watching. Search is often not accurate or when an episode comes up, you can’t easily get to the series for that episode. I really hope that you will fix the things that aren’t working and consider adding more functionality.

Good but could be better. I absolutely enjoy watching feel good, clean romance. It is well known that Hallmark is where you find this! However, my complaint is I subscribed to this for just that. I wanted an app that I felt I could pretty much click on any title and enjoy a clean movie without sorting through the garbage on other streaming services to find something decent. I have been shocked to say the least at how many movies I quickly have to exit out of and put on the “no watch” list because of language. Adding a couple of curse words doesn’t make the movie better. It’s very unnecessary. If the movies could all be CLEAN or at least noted that they have language in them, that would be nice. IMDb doesn’t always have the parents guide on every movie on this app. Thanks for your consideration!

Once again logged off after an hour of watching…why won’t you fix this???! ——————————————————————————————- When will new mysteries be added? ———————————————————————————————Once again the Roku app closed and it was because we had watched for an hour then we were logged out…Why? Why?! Please fix! ——————————————————————————————— So, why oh why does the Roku app log out after an hour of watching?! And why isn’t it being fixed?? Was logged into the app on iPad, an hour later it logged out AND logged out the movie being watched on Roku. Some of the problems noted below from the last review have been fixed, thanks! ———————————————————————————————- Well, the new format is sleek looking and I like some of the reorganization options. There seem to be a few bugs though. The iPad app will not let me save to watch list and it takes a long time to load. The Roku app takes forever to open and every movie, so far, freezes an hour or more in and the app has to be exited and reopened in order to finish watching it. There is too much buffering, which was not a problem before. Just a side note...why so few mysteries? There seem to be so few available yet so many on the cable channel.———————————- And once again I ask, why no new mysteries on the streaming option?

Very disappointing. We don’t pay for cable and instead opt to pay for streaming services. We have quite a few of them and since I loved watching Hallmark movies and tv shows when we did have cable we decided to get the Hallmark movies now app....I have never been more disappointed in a streaming app than I am in this one. None of the things that I loved watching on the Hallmark channel are available through this app that you HAVE TO PAY FOR. You would think that the thousands (or millions who knows) of people who opt to use streaming services as opposed to paying for cable would be offered the same content but that couldn’t be further from the truth. There’s no When Calls the Heart tv series or movies, Aurora Teagarden, Murder She Baked, Good Witch tv series...the list really is endless of what isn’t available! Regardless of how much I love the feel good Hallmark movies shouldn’t I have access to everything Hallmark offers since I made the decision to specifically pay to get Hallmark content instead of just getting it with a cable subscription. Doesn’t seem like a very good way to take care of Hallmark customers to me.....Such a shame and a huge disappointment!!

Disappointing. We are working on cutting the cord and it is hard to find a way to watch current offerings on Hallmark or especially Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channels. I mistakenly thought this would be my answer. Don’t be drawn in if you want anything current. Some of the series are so old that even the picture quality is bad. I love all the mystery movies offered on their Movies and Mysteries channel on cable, but they are nowhere to be found on this app. Another major problem is how clunky the app is. If you start a series, and there are many episodes, it doesn’t pick up where you left off! It takes you back to the start of the series every time, so you have to try and remember which episode you are on. This might not seem like a major problem unless you are elderly and have memory problems, and struggle with using technology, like my mother does. She is the main reason I subscribed to Hallmark Now, and it is totally worthless to her the way it is set up. I wish I had not subscribed to a full year. She cannot watch it unless I am there to help her every time, unlike Netflix and other apps that automatically pick up on the episode you are ready for. I did try to explain this problem to those who are there to help, but they didn’t seem to understand my problem at all. There doesn’t seem to be any help for this. Has anyone else had this problem, or is there something I am missing?

I love the happy ending movies but the religious gets a little heavy for me. I truly love the Hallmark movies no matter what the season. Life is hard enough and at the end of the day a happy ending lighthearted movie is great. The religious vibe gets a little heavy for me. And it’s not even that I’m not religious but that’s what these movies are not about if you want to religious channel start that but let Hallmark movies just be Hallmark movies please. And I enjoy the ones that are a little different and don’t have the exact same equation insert new actors here. I’m really enjoying special delivery again the religious connotations a little bit much but I love the idea.

Could be better. The app really needs a an option to sort movies by release year. Also it would be nice to have an option for different profiles, since not everyone in the house wants to watch the same movies. I am disappointed that all the movies on the checklist app can not be found in the movie app. I haven’t had cable or access to Hallmark movies for about 3 years but it feels as though the majority of movies on the app I have already seen. It seems like not even all of last years new movies are available on the app. And the new releases this year seem to be hit or miss.

Navigation needs work. I love the content & really like the app with one exception. Navigating from a show back to the Home Screen or the timeline within a show is extremely difficult on a tablet because of the placement & size of these controls. The minimize icon is small & buried in the corner. The ability to fast forward on a slide scale is basically non existent on a tablet if you have any kind of case, again because of placement. So, love the app, like the content, please think about making navigation easier to use.

App works content not great. While I have not had any real problems with the app in general (aside from occasional freezing) I am a little disappointed in the content. I bought into the subscription hoping to be able to steam Christmas movies as we no longer have cable. However, the selection isn’t great and most movies are years old. I understand there is another Hallmark app but that is only for those with cable, if I had cable I wouldn’t be subscribing to this on a monthly basis. The app is good in theory but the content could definitely use some updates. 🙂

Love this App.. I am an avid Hallmark-movie watcher so when I saw the ad for HMN I had to try it and I love it. It is very easy to navigate and has great customer support. They took care of my issue immediately. I love the movies and am happy to see some of my old favorites but I must admit that my only disappointment is that the entire Season 2 of Chesapeake Shores was not uploaded before Hallmark Channel started Season 3. I would have loved to binge watch the series and catch up before the new season started. This is a great app for Hallmark movie and series watchers like me. I definitely will renew my subscription.

Need more movies!. I would give this app 5 stars if it had more content. I was really hoping to watch some of my favorites but nonetheless I’m still enjoying what I do have to watch. As for the application itself, it works seamlessly and it’s visually appealing. I do feel some of the options in ‘browse’ has repetitive content. For example: ‘recently added’ and ‘most popular’ are very similar movies. But again, it’s probably because more movies are needed. I’m hoping as time goes by, the collection of movies grow because for the price you can’t beat it. Especially for someone who doesn’t have cable.

Worst streaming service I’ve ever used. This is unfortunate because while the app has the content I want to watch, the app itself is the worst streaming service I’ve ever operated. I started watching a series at episode 1, and the ad that the app shows before playing is spoilers for this same show’s season 5. Then at the beginning of an episode it starts the countdown to watching the next episode that usually plays during the credits. Even after updating the app and restarting my tv system the app this issue continues. Which means it won’t let me watch the episode I’m trying to play. I tried watching the next episode and major plot points were missed, so now I’m stuck. Extremely frustrating.

Disappointed. I want to understand why if this is an app that I’m paying for it does NOT have any of the movies that I see advertised for the hallmark channel. I don’t have a cable service so I downloaded this app to watch hallmark movies but I don’t know why they don’t have the same movies here than in the cable channel.. I will join philo or friendly tv and cancel my subscription for this app. And my advice; you need to have the same movies here and on cable because people who download the app are the ones who don’t have cable and want to see all your new and good movies and are paying in order to do that.

Hallmark Now? More like Hallmark THEN.. We do not subscribe to cable or any dish service. Rather, we watch everything via Netflix or network apps. Thus, we were very excited when we saw that Hallmark had an app, as my wife loves all of their Christmas movies. However, much to my wife’s dismay, we found that none of the 2018 movies are available on the app. Devastated is a decent descriptor for how she felt. Why would a network create an app and offer no new content? Needless to say, we are canceling our subscription and alerting everyone we know not to subscribe. It’s unbelievable that this is an issue, given that so much viewing now happens through streaming services and apps. If I could give this less than one star, I would.

Disappointed. I thought I could use this app with my Prime subscription to Hallmark Movies, but my account does not work. I also thought since I have been paying Hallmark, that I would be able to access all the current Christmas movies as well as all episodes of the mystery series. The presentation of the movies does not checkbox the movies you have already watched so you have to load it to see if it has been watched. Finding a movie to watch is difficult on the prime interface as a search will take you out of Hallmark. Thinking of cancelling and using the money for a new channel.

A Great Value. My family has really enjoyed this app, which we use through iPhone, iPad, and Xbox One. We find it easy enough to use, though the navigation and search are different than other apps we are more familiar with. We really enjoy the offerings on Hallmark as an option when we want to watch less stress-inducing, more positively emotional entertainment. We didn’t know that was something we needed until we started watching some series on the app, and we find it very valuable. Also, the price per month cannot be beat!

App works, content and features need improvement. It’s great to have these movies, but they really should have all their movies available. Also you can’t download a movie to watch when you don’t have wifi/cellular service, such as when flying. I didn’t realize when I purchased access to this channel, that I could only watch if connected to app. I travel a lot, and don’t always have internet access when I have time to watch a movie/part of a movie. You can only rewind 15 second intervals, but you can’t fast forward. The only way is to drag the bar for the entire movie, which is sometimes difficult depending on your finger sizes.

Better than the free app but still not enough!. I’m glad Hallmark finally has an app that you don’t have to have a cable subscription for and that allows you to get more than the free app. But that being said it’s a big let down that you can’t access everything-especially the Christmas movies. Since it’s a paid subscription I would think you should be able to access everything that is on the cable channel (like almost every other paid subscription channel out there). Or at least run a “special” of unlocking a bunch of Christmas movies during your summer holiday keepsake promo for those two weeks!

Good but uhhhh, not the new update. I got this a few months ago and it was great. But these most recent March 4th update is awful. I now can’t chrome cast through my iPad or phone. I tried to download it on my tv. Eventually, it worked but first I had to get three errors that it could not install. Not to mention that the loading is to the app is sucky and many times has crashed. The exit out button is at the bottom which I didn’t see because it was tiny and at bottom and looks like where you would make the movie a little zoomed in. Love the app but please fix this update. PLEASE.

Love Feelin.. Good, wholesome, feel good movies. They will make you laugh, and they will tug at your heart. I've experienced laughter and I've experienced tears but I've never not liked or been disappointed, be it new movies or classics. I highly recommend it for those who appreciate wholesome entertainment. I even had the opportunity to see a couple of movies taken from books written by my old and dear friend, Cathy Pelletier, under the name, M.C. McKinnon, "Candles On Bay Street" and "Dancing At The Harvest Moon". They are first class family entertainment. I highly recommend Feelin.

Still no Christmas Movies. I recently saw that the feeln app has now been changed to Hallmark movies now. I thought this was going to be a great change as I did a trial of the feeln app 4 years ago and quickly canceled as there were no original Hallmark Christmas movies available to watch(there has to be hundreds of these made). I asked why and they stated Hallmark was a separate entity and they could not show them. Well now they are called Hallmark movies now and it has the same problems, no hallmark Christmas movies. There are also no good witch movies or any of the good witch tv series. That is the main reason people want Hallmark is for the Christmas movies. If they ever get content I will surely subscribe.

Finally! 🙌🏻. Give me all the cheesy, feel-good Hallmark movies. This app is a stink’ gold mine. Others are mentioning older content, which I happen to LOVE! You can’t find these movies elsewhere. The plots of the older movies seem less predictable, in my opinion... which is refreshing, because the newer movies are pretty predictable/follow the same storyline (I’m not complaining, it’s endearing & comforting knowing what you’re going to get). Anyway, bottom line: loving this app!!! If you enjoy the cheese like I do, you’ll love this app too. 😊

Needs To Be Fixed!. I logged into the app, clicked to start the free trial, chose the monthly payment option, the window popped up said that my subscription was successful but then got an error message from the app saying there was something wrong with my payment method when there should be no problem. I tried to set up the subscription through the website using a different payment method and the same thing happened. I emailed customer service and was told that they couldn’t find an account for me. I love the Hallmark Channel and have enjoyed this app in the past but I’m going to have to go a different route since this app doesn’t seem to work anymore

Great content, outdated app. I love the content on the app. I love hallmark movies old and new so I love what’s available to watch. The app, however, can definitely get an upgrade. Features are just out of date. Most streaming apps allow you to multitask and watch on a small screen while using other apps, this doesn’t. In order to get to your watchlist you have to go to more. Most apps have watchlist on a seeable tab or the list is there when you open it. Also, the closed captioning is glitchy and doesn’t match what they are saying. Captioning is behind by like 10 minutes. In addition to missing features, the app has a lot of glitches and sometimes takes forever to load.

Thieves. I have (had) a subscription and have never been recognized by the app. It is impossible to get an unbroken customer care link or reach anyone. I subscribe a few times each year around holidays and this year they have taken my subscription money for three months and I have never been able to access content. I have reset my password, tried the app on multiple devices, even deleted and reinstalled. I definitely feel I deserve a refund but am baffled at how I might contact them. HMN have quite clearly gone to significant lengths to make that impossible. terrible app and service. I canceled my subscription…I’ve gotten nothing in return for my subscription and money.

Glitchy and barely functions. The app only functions a fraction of the time. Today I was watching and had paused a show. I came back and went in and out of the app about 10 times. It never loaded properly. I finally cleared the data to resign in. It then FINALLY decided to work. Sometimes I get so frustrated I give up and watch something else. Other times it will load and while you are looking for Sony to watch it will glitch and the app will shut down. A few times this happened and I just clicked on any random movie just to get something to play. I definitely will not be renewing when my year is up. That’s not even mentioning that nothing current is even available. Which is not made clear unless you read reviews complaining about this.

Needs Work!. When they took my beloved WCTH off Netflix I had to succumb to getting Hallmark Now. This app needs a few upgrades! There’s no pop out window to multi task on your phone while watching, and if you’re out of the app for too long it logs you out! And there’s no option for saved passwords or Face ID so you have to log in manually EVERY TIME. AND there’s no account tab to see what payment you have on file and when the next billing date is! What if I want to cancel or update my card on file?! OH and the captions don’t work properly! They’re always an episode behind! Please fix these issues!

Glitchy.. Disappointing... It seems I can watch maybe 3 movies in a day, and then I can’t watch anything. It won’t play, or I get Error messages or now, I have a “Missing Page” This page has not been configured as expected. The app freezes many times. Can this please be fixed. I feel like I’m paying for something I can’t use much. It functioned MUCH better for me before the more recent upgrade. I hope this gets fixed. I enjoy the movies and series that are there. I am sure the goal is to have the app running smoothly and hope that can be accomplished. Occasional glitches are one thing, but this is happening quite often for me. This is still happening. It’s not dependable at all. I feel like I’m paying for something I can’t use much at all, sadly.

Disappointing. I cut the cord years ago. Been getting my fix at my sister’s house or just finding movies online. If you’re looking for Christmas movies, there really aren’t very many at all in this app, much less even recent ones. With the popularity of Countdown to Christmas, it floors me they don’t have them available here, even if it’s weeks after! Hallmark is missing out on such a huge audience with more and more people cutting the cord and going to streaming. Browsing around the app, it doesn’t seem like there is a lot in their library, and what is there is old. I will give it a chance to see if they improve it and get with it. If not, back to finding movies elsewhere on the internet.

Glitchy Movies. I’ve read a few of the other reviews, and I agree that there is no excuse for having to login to the app two or three times a day. It’s very frustrating and annoying. I downloaded the app to my TV three days ago, and as other customers have stated, it’s a mess trying to find some thing by doing a search. Also, one of the signed sealed delivered movies, kept pausing and getting stuck every other minute. My husband and I almost gave up. I do not have to login consistently all the time on my app on my iPad. Why do you insist on making us log in Two and three times a day on the TV app?

Love the channel NOT the app.. The designers of this app should look at IMDB. the best entertainment app ever and take some notes because this app could be incredible if they just fixed a few things. The app is glitchy especially with Apple TV. But even with just the iPhone sometimes a movie just won’t play. Then the next day it will. The fact that on my phone you can’t expand the descriptions of movies and casts is really annoying I would like to be able to see them in their entirety. Also to be able to access an actors movie catalog by just pushing on their name would be amazing. Third the search engine is terrible. It doesn’t link to many movies that an actor or actress has done. For example if I search Lacey Chabert, Christmas at Castle Heart doesn’t show up. This is just one example. $60 for a years is a decent price for the year but I would pay more if the app was better.

Hallmark Fever!. I love Hallmark, and look forward to the countdown every year. The movies provides happiness. It puts smiles on peoples faces. The only thing i wish is that the hallmark movies now had the hallmark holiday countdown movies as well. Some people cant afford cable. Thats why i have this app. Please add more movies, there the same thing say in and day out. Nothing new and exciting. Maybe 2 new movies a month is all i get to see. I would love to see more movies. It would be cool of it was a hallmark app with all the hallmark movies on it that doesn't require cable and is at Netflix price. I would definitely pay that price.

Charges me but can’t use app!!!!!!!!!. I am so upset. I signed up for the free 7 day trial… awesome expect they didn’t let me watch for 7 days they only let me watch for 4 days. Then when I went to go subscribe so I can’t ups just finish watching what I was watching. I wanted the app I was going to keep my subscription. The app wouldn’t let me purchase. I tried so many times. So then finally it took the money out of my account this morning for the subscription. But guess what it still doesn’t work!!!!!! So you charged me and I still can’t watch. I was looking forward to this and can’t even watch my fave shows. I need help and my money back for this app if I can’t use it.

Good shows bad app. I love the shows on here because they are family friendly and are not about sex or violence or immoral behavior. However the app is horrible and slow. I don’t have the best internet connection I have to use my phone to hot spot. To combat slow speeds I hook my phone up through hdmi to the tv. This works with every other streaming provider except this one. Also, when I watch it on the roku it’s so slow It stops constantly and takes forever to load while when watching any other streaming providers i have no issues. I also cannot change the video quality to a lower setting so that it will work. I’m quite disappointed in this app which is sad because I love the shows.

Love HMN. I love Hallmark movies and I love the content of this app. The monthly fee is reasonable compared to other streaming services which can be twice as much money per month. Since HMN has many of the older Hallmark Movies, I’d like to see them bring back or add HHOF titles not available on American DVDs and no longer available to those of us who no longer have VCRs. Namely, A Place for Annie, Grace and Glorie, The Echo of Thunder, and Miss Rose White. I have limited use of my hands, so a more efficient way of rewinding and fast forwarding would help.

Great selection, buggy. Though this streaming service provides a fantastic selection of shows & movies that are Christian friendly to be paying for this service it is extremely buggy. I can only view it on my phone, app refuses to work on TV. And even on my phone it constantly exits itself out saying it is unable to play due to my settings when my settings are as they should be. I have no issues with my other streaming services. I would accept these issues if it were free, however asking for money please fix these issues.

Great App, wish there were newer content. I love this app so far, but I will admit, I was hoping to see more current content. I don’t have cable, and I was hoping to watch a Christmas movie that aired last year that I have been wanting to see, but it isn’t available. I can understand waiting a few months, but after a year, it would be nice if some of those titles were available...even for a limited time. That said, the movies are happy and romantic and always put me in a good mood. I use this app a lot.

App constantly logs me out, missing content. A lot of content missing from Hallmark which is disappointing. When I pay for HBO Now, I have access to all of their shows and movies which I expected here. Most annoying, however, is that the app constantly completely logs me out on my Apple TV. Hallmark movies are a mood and when I’m ready to watch one, snuggled up in my blanket with my dog on one side and hot cocoa on the other, the last thing I want to do is go fetch my password again. I have a lot of streaming services and none of them do that. I doubt I will keep paying for this for much longer.

Not all movies. I researched and researched before purchasing this app. And all information said all movies are on the hallmark movie app. All movies. They’re not. Not all current and not all old. I tried to look up why they’re not or if they’ll be there and the only info I receive is that all movies are in the app- which like I’ve stated, they’re not. Thanks Like Aurora Mysteries, or the Allison Sweeney Mysteries. They’re not even new (well most of them aren’t). I emailed customer service and asked how to watch these missing movies and have yet to get a response. I would understand if your app was free but it’s not. I don’t see why there isn’t more let alone all movies available. I am canceling after my free trial.

Great phone app, terrible app on Blu-ray player. I love Hallmark movies and love the movies available on this app. I can watch them on my phone during my lunch break and don’t have any issues. Trying to use this app on my new Blu-ray player is a whole other issue. It constantly crashes and has issues with signing me out. I would love for the bugs to be corrected soon. It would also be nice if there was a way to play the next episode similar to other streaming platforms at the end of the episode for the shows. Other than that, I love this service and will continue to watch it from my phone.

App Subscription Not Working. The app kept asking me to do a free trial and select a subscription despite being logged into my account that already had a subscription. It was an endless cycle of trying to fix it and I chose to cancel to stop wasting my money. This would occur regularly with the app and very rarely did it work as expected. I can see from other reviews I’m not alone in this issue. For such a big network and for making people pay a subscription, I expect a higher quality and consistent application as well as more responsiveness to mass customer issues. There are free apps that work better than this. So disappointing.

App needs work. I got this app to watch the mysteries which I love.. but I wish the app had a option to make profiles and the app crashes more often than not at least for me it does and makes me log in quite often. I also wish that it would play the movies in order if I start at the first movie it most of time will play out of order after that which is frustrating! And I am wondering how long does it take to add the new movies for instance I am waiting for Hannah Swenson a Zest for death to be added 😩..The app needs work.. but I keep it because of the price and I do enjoy the content but it for sure needs IMPROVEMENTS!!

Hasn’t downloaded yet I’m sure it is good tho. So I just downloaded the app and I’m sure it will be good. The problem I have with like every app with a channel or an app on tv it takes a while to load. It is probably just my internet connection but I’m not all the way sure. I’m sure this will be my fav app on my iPad 😂😂. If it works well or if it doesent I will tell y’all so yeah. And for right now I am going to rate it five stars because it is my fav channel on my tv so your welcome hallmark!

Hallmark. The Hallmark channels are my favorite. My Granddaughters tease me because you can tell when a Hallmark movie is over, they always kiss at the end. They can tease all they want I wish there were more channels like Hallmark. I know when I sit down to watch a movie I won’t hear bad language, see any nudity and I will feel good when the movie is over. I am really enjoying the new series “When Hope Calls.” Its a precious show with precious characters. I will say, I miss “Garage Sale Mysteries.” But there are plenty of other great shows💕

Love it, room for improvement. Love the fundamentals of it, which is wholesome Hallmark movies. A suggestion is if we could have download to watch later without being online. Because sometimes in long road trips, plane rides or just waiting in a public area that you know would take hours-it’s be nice to watch without logging into our data. Like say downloads would be deleted after 30 days or something. I don’t mind. Just an option would be nice. Would love more content coz I feel like I could binge it all in a week or two and unsubscribe already.

Ok. I do love hallmark movies but I can’t download this app on my tv. I have an lg tv. I’m only able to watch on my phone. I tried watching on my computer through the website but every time I tried to watch a movie it kept going blurry or video would freeze while audio kept going. It works perfectly on my phone but I really don’t like watching shows on my phone. It would be nice if there was a cast option so I can cast my phone to the tv and watch that way. All my other streaming services all have this option. I can’t keep this service if my only option is to watch on my phone because like I said earlier I really don’t like watching shows on my phone.

Wow.. Multiple issues, technologically speaking... didn’t have WiFi in my house, got a device to stream from phone. Didn’t work. Msgd support, the First Lady I emailed mentioned in prior updates people could use this method. But this new version wasn’t working properly. So I asked for a suspected timeframe, never heard anything back. Called, woman I spoke with told me this way of using app never has or will work. Decided to get WiFi to be able to watch. Got ALL that set up... just to find out you guys don’t have an app on my tv. Went to cancel my subscription, that was a pain all in itself. Apple settings/store tells me to go into iTunes settings to stop it?? Had to go to multiple forums just to figure out how to unsubscribe. Wow. 0/5 on to you guys directly and if I could rate you guys that in the store I would.

Wholesome, enjoyable movies. Really enjoy Hallmark Movies Now. I give it a 10. The app has different categories and great selections. There is something for everyone in the family. Don’t have to screen any of it because there is no filth, nudity, bad language, etc., that one sees on television. All is very good, family friendly shows. One can watch drama, mystery, tasteful romance, comedy, children’s programs, etc. Easy to download and no other problems. Only $5.99 a month. Well worth it. Awesome.

I myself love this app!. I love this app!! Except for 1 thing. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I think the price per month is more then worth it. There are a lot of movies to watch and they are always adding a decent amount of Christmas movies at this time of year. My only complaint and it does bother me A LOT is I can’t watch it in mini player mode. Every other movie app I pay for let’s you minimize the screen but for some reason neither Hallmark app has this feature. PLEASE PLEASE update and add this feature!! All in all though I definitely recommend this and watch it all the time.

Frustrating App. 1) Search for a specific title (correctly spelled)….no results. Search for one word in the title…get ALL titles with that word, which means scrolling through page after page of titles. 2) Can’t select closed captions using the HMN app on the latest Apple TV model and software. Can use them on iPad/iPhone app just fine. 3) HMN help document states that it is fully compatible with Airplay on latest Apple TV model. However, screen mirroring/Airplay only produces sound, no picture. Other streaming platforms work just fine, no problem. I want to watch HMN programs on my TV and the only way for me to do that is by using the HMN app on my Apple TV or Airplay/screen mirroring. Neither works correctly.

Love Hallmark but frustrated with app. As with other reviewers, my app crashes A LOT! Tried downloading the app on our tv and it won’t play any movie longer than a few minutes. When watching the app on my phone or laptop, it lets me watch a whole movie (sometimes) but makes me sign in again after every single one I watch. It simply refuses to keep me signed in and there is no box to check saying [remember me]. I also wish the newer movies could be on here or maybe an option to watch Hallmark “live”. I will continue to watch in the hopes y’all are able to upgrade the app a little. Please and thank you!!!

Love the content, but the app is not user friendly. The app takes forever to load. It is so frustrating when you want to sit and binge watch a show. You have to click back, click back into the show, and then click on the next episode. There is no play all, or play next episode option. When you add a show to your watchlist you have to add each episode, which is ridiculous. I love the content of the app (apart from seasons and episodes being listed individually in some spots). The movies and shows are great! I don’t have to worry about my kids seeing any of the shows. Thanks for making shows for families! I just wish I could enjoy the app a little more!

Lacks variety with monthly updates. I have had the app for a few years and I wish they would offer more movies. It seems like the same ones are available. I can not get cable where I so this “a la cart” is my only option. Folks pay a monthly fee, but the variety does not seem to change. I understand Hallmark is offered with some cable/internet providers so they get paid when people select that package but we are paying Hallmark directly with this membership seems like we deserve a larger selection.

Great shows!. I live out in the country and got tired of the high price of satellite tv when we only watch 5-6 channels. You have to get the most expensive package to get the few channels you like. I use my phone as a hotspot and the only disappointment I have with this app is I cannot connect my hdmi from my phone to tv and get a picture. I get a black screen with sound. I can use all my other apps with no issues. Please fix this issue as I really enjoy watching wholesome movies and would prefer to see them on a larger screen then my phone.

Outdated Content. You pay for cable which gives you access to all Hallmark movies, shows, etc. Then you decide to pay for a separate monthly subscription to the Hallmark app thinking you will have access to the same content via Apple TV just like any other movie app, WRONG! Not only is the content outdated, the app functionality is lacking. Come on Hallmark, get with the program!! How many ways can you get money from customers without delivering superior service and products. I love Hallmark movies but refuse to pay for an app that limits content to older movies and shows.
