$5 for each issue. I really don’t like how you have to pay $5 to view each past issue of cosmopolitan, even though we’re already paying a subscription fee each month, this is a total ripoff

Horrible App!!!!!. This app is one of the most difficult ones I have ever tried using and customer support is ridiculous. When I signed up for the iPad subscription I couldn't download any of the magazines because it said my password was the one I had used with the Hearst network. Problem is I've never set up an account with Hearst. Upon emailing support I was asked over and over again the same questions I had explained in my lengthy email regarding my problem and the steps I had already taken to fix it. On top of that, due to Memorial Day, I was told the apps team would respond to my email after the holiday. A week later...I received a no reply email from Cosmopolitan resetting my password. An hour later I finally got an email from the app support team saying I did not purchase an iPad subscription and that's why it wasn't working for me...even though I followed the link in the frequently asked questions section to purchase my digital subscription and my credit card was charged. Go figure. I was able to download two magazines before being asked to again purchase the new one. I think I'm just going to cancel my print and digital subscriptions and uninstall the worst app I've ever used. Wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased. Ugh!!!!

Love this magazine!!!!. I love, love, love this magazine, and I’m male.

March issue problem. This app is no longer working. Links are broken and I cant even turn the page from the cover. It just bounces back to the front. Please fix this issue soon. Ive paid for the subscription but am unable to read it.

Seriously!?. After writing to complain...twice... About an issue not being available (issue when downloaded is just a black screen) (they didn't respond within two days as promised) they simply wrote "We are recording your complaints. The issue is currently unavailable." EXCUSE ME!? For such a big magazine as Cosmo you would think they would understand publishing in a timely manner. I was hopeful the issue would be available after the update but of course I am disappointed once again. I pay just like every other subscriber and I'm saving Cosmo paper for the app version. Cosmo shouldn't "lose my subscription" which is what I'm referring to this as. 4th major issue I've had with the Cosmo app. I cannot believe I wasted my money for a year subscription. Definitely not renewing it.

Absolutely AMAZING!. Whenever my local store has ran out of COSMO’s, I use the app! I never miss a month and I am always satisfied with my readings! 💕

Nov issue/now dec issue. No one can obviously figure out how to get the November issue and there is no way to contact the developer for support via the link provided. Does anyone read these...because we should've had the issues for a week or longer. My card's been charged for a yearly subscription..where is the magazine or an explanation? Update:finally got nov issue. Thanks for fixing. Hope it doesn't happen next month. Update: I had increased the rating after receiving the November issue figuring they'd solve the problem and this would not happen gain for December. What a joke. I can't believe a company like Cosmo is this unresponsive to its readers and is having the same problem again. They should have their app removed if they can't provide the expected service and have no outlet for customer service. Everyone who bought a subscription on here deserves their money back.

Stuck. I’m not enjoying Cosmopolitan Magazine. I brought a subscription hoping to see the magazine I loved, instead I don’t see it at all . I’m being billed monthly and can’t find a way to cancel. Help me find out what’s wrong or please just unsubscribe me.

Finally figured it out!. I am an iPad/iTunes subscriber and have been very peeved that I couldn't download my issues like I was supposed to for three months now. I did finally figure out how to get them though! I made an online account through the Cosmo website and then went back into the app and signed in with that under my account, sign in for other subscribers. After I restored my purchases like they say in the FAQ's, they were all instantly available to download. It was that pesky online account sign in that they forget to tell you about. Hope this helps everyone who was experiencing my same frustration.

Not as good as it used to be. Cosmo magazine has become so boring. They’ve removed all the interesting sections, and there’s too many quizzes. I feel like I’m reading 17 magazine now. Time to find something new to read I guess. I’m so disappointed though.

Can't view newest issue. As a whole I love the app. It has excellent features, although I can not utilize them yet. I did the 3 month special and let it renew to the yearly. I still can't download the newest issue on my iPad and feel like I'm getting the runaround with options to fix this problem through app support. They have asked me twice to uninstall/reinstall but this erases your albums, favorites, and downloaded issues. So I literally can't utilize the features. The popup is also very annoying, in which it opens up every time you open the app. If I were you, I would not purchase the subscription until they clearly state the problem is fixed after 3.2.2 version. I'm very unhappy that I can't have a solution to my problem after a couple weeks of back and forth email with app support.

Do Not Waste Your Money. As someone who has been a subscriber since December 2019, I am telling you - do not waste your money. I constantly have to reset my password because the app keeps locking me out, and certain issues have problems. The March 2020 Issue, for instance, is completely locked out for me. I cannot access it. This is very troubling. Please, save yourself the stress.

Needs to be more like the website. Love cosmo magazines and website but the aesthetic of this app is awful. It just looks downright ugly, nothing like the easy user interface and cutting edge look of the website. Makes it difficult to endure. Not really worth a one star though, because the content itself is somewhat redeeming!

How to cancel. How do you cancel you subscription?!?!

Bad customer service. They’ll take your money and then won’t help when the app doesn’t work.

Don’t like the new update. I don't like how they took the news section away !

Nothing works. This app used to be pretty good but after the update I can’t even read the latest issue and it’s impossible to scroll through the old issues.

Would give less.... Every month, the latest issue that comes out never loads. They never update the customers on why its happening, nor do they provide any sort of remedy for the customer. I bought the electronic version, so that I wouldn't have the piles paper copies lying around my house, but this is horrible. Unless they can fix this issue, I will not be renewing and just buy the print version when I have the need and time to. I am very disappointed in their handling of customer service over this issue. It has happened repeatedly, yet they refuse to fix it right away. Given their high reputation for their print magazine, one would expect the same high standards for their electronic version as well. I wish I could give less than one star, but alas I can not. Sadly, they have lost an electronic subscriber. Unless they can fix their problems over it soon, I'll just buy the print version whenever I find the time.

Issues. I’ve been trying to gain access to my digital subscription and it keeps giving me error messages or asks me to pay for then magazine.

Just buy the print copy.. You'd expect that a periodical targeted toward the electronically savvy and young would have one of the best newsstand apps out there, right? Think again. If I had a dime for every time this app crashed, I'd probably be a month ahead on rent. And this is NYC apartment rent that we're talking here. Just do yourself a favor and buy the print copy. Most of the embedded media is movie trailers or song clips that you can easily search google or iTunes for anyway. If you, like me, got a year subscription for the electronic version and will not give up until you successfully download each issue that you paid for, be ready to delete the app from newsstand each month when the next issue comes out, update the app so that it will run the new version and reinstall the app and redox load any issues you want to view again. Not impressed. Will not be renewing, obviously.

Always have trouble.... Loading the pages and being able to check out entire e-magazine. It takes forever to load and I don’t have trouble with any other apps.

Customer Support. I've been a subscriber for 8 years, and I switched to the digital subscription last November when I bought my iPad. Since my subscription was still current, I had to use The Zinio app until it was time to renew. Well this month was renewal so I just downloaded the actual Cosmo app. I downloaded the July issue but opening it crashed my app every time. So I contacted Customer Service through the app and they responded within 10 minutes. Asked a few more specific questions and had the issue resolved one email later. So impressed with the efficiency of the help desk!! (Granted this problem shouldn't be so common in the first place which is why I only gave it 4 stars, but it was an easy fix!)

I'm so mad!. Okay now I'm writing again! Why can't I open the January issue? It goes to a black screen, it has been like this since January first. I want my money back, and I want it back now. Or I want you to fix the screen that is black and is preventing me from reading my magazine. This is so ridiculous, this company is a scam. You just keep accepting money knowing its not working. Why don't you fix it. This is a multi million, probably billion corporation. Give me my money back or fix it. The sad part is I went to get the number to Cosmo and its not on the website and I can't write a email because I don't get a magazine in the mail but I buy it on my iPad. If this isn't fixed or I don't have my money back I'm contacting apple. I bought a magazine it downloaded and all I get is a black screen. Or the whole entire app closes on me every time I hit the magazine I bought. I was about to buy the whole year until the first magazine I bought didn't work, I get a black screen. I want my 3.99 back! I'm so mad. I bought something and it doesn't even work. Why do get black screen?? Either give me my money or let me read the magazine I bought.

Loved it until the update. I loved it until the new update got rid of the news section of the app😭

Scam. This app is a scam. There’s no way to cancel your subscription. When I email them they say I can only cancel it through the app... when you try to cancel it through the app it tells you to email them.

Needs Improvement. Compared to other magazine apps, Cosmo needs help. I'm pretty disappointed at the current state of this app. The layout feels dull and boring, and it's a little irritating to navigate because each issue takes up the whole screen and you can't see more than one at a time. Besides layout, you can't enter your current subscription information (if you have one) to get a e-version. All other magazines I have subscriptions for give that option and it's not only convenient, but definitely makes me value my subscription that much more because now I can have it with me on my iPad. But not Cosmo... That option is unavailable and it's a shame. They only give you the option to subscribe. Why would I want to spend another $20 for a subscription I already have?! I think that Cosmo really needs to redo/redesign the app. Perhaps they should take a look at other magazine apps already out there and take notes so that they can improve theirs.

Used to be good. I used to love the articles and news feed but with each update the app gets worse and worse... not even worth it anymore... going to delete the app. They just want your money.

Cancellation. I'd like to know how I can cancel my digital subscription...? When I subscribed on my iPad...I was sent an email from iTunes telling to click a link in the email to "turn off" my subscription, but there were several links...all of which linked to service agreements and legal documents of terms and conditions. Then another sent me to the Cosmo website which invited me to "sign up" for a free account. I assumed since I purchased my subscription through iTunes and receive Cosmo emails on a specific email, that I had already been registered. To my surprise, my email had not been registered. Long story short, I created an account without the ability to cancel my digital subscription, tried a customer service but needed an account# that wasn't given to me...and tried finding support for the app, but no luck...so now, I am asking...HOW DO I CANCEL MY DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION?

Awesome (except for paying for 2 subscriptions!). I'm really surprised by all the negative reviews. I haven't had any problems at all opening any of my issues. It's a shame some people are having such a problem. I Love reading Cosmo on my iPad. The color is great and i love that I can tap on certain products and information and go straight to there websites. I did only give 3 stars though because I completely agree that if u subscribe to the paper issue u should be able to view the digital version for free. Most of the other magazines do that (i have 5 other paper subscriptions that i get FREE digital versions with!!) and I'm sure that alone would upset people enough that they won't buy anymore. Cosmo should really rethink this. If they offer free digital version w/ paper subscription this app would definitely be 5 stars!!!

Canceling my subscription!. Update: I have pretty much given up with this app. I subscribed November last year and it has been the biggest headache. There is no consistency in the release dates. Sometimes we get it before it hits the stands but most of the time we don't get the new issue until after its been in stands for a month. The app doesn't always load properly. Sometimes you can't see your previous purchases, you have to completely close (in multitasking) and reopen the app several times before it loads properly. Sometimes you can't even read the magazine, all you get is a black screen. In previous months, it would happen halfway through the magazine. The September issue you can't even see the first page and the October issue has been released! They need to seriously rethink their department in charge of the app. I work in IT and there are so many things wrong with how this app and it's problems are being handled. I will not be renewing my subscription this year. This is deplorable! I highly recommend that you save your money and stick with the paper version. Previous review: It is February 3rd and I still don't have the February issue! If I had a paper subscription, I'd already have March...or very soon I'd be getting March. This is unacceptable for such a large business!

Very poor function - update. Can’t even read whole issue. Links are not working. Fix this app soon! Apparently the March 2018 issue is the problem. Links are not working, and table of contents not showing. Please fix this issue soon.

Disappointment. I bought the subscription in OCTOBER and I STILL have not seen the December issue!!! I've sent emails upon emails trying to get it sorted out and they answered my first email by saying delete the app and start over (like I hadn't tried that). After I told them it didn't help I never heard back. There's no telephone numbers provided anywhere to get help either. I'm very very disappointed with this because I've always been a Cosmo lover but this almost ruins it for me, on the iPad and the print version. Poor app and poor customer service. Update: I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE DECEMBER ISSUE. I'm beyond disappointed. I postponed reading my friends hard copy because I was so excited to read it on my new iPad. Now I'm upset and beyond frustrated. How hard is it to please your customers???Apparently very difficult. Thanks Cosmo. Not.

Terrible. Awful content, terrible articles.

Articles are not up to date. I love Cosmo. I am constantly reading the articles in the more section of the app and refreshing and checking for new stories. But I went to check on it a few mornings ago and new art lives would not show up. For days the exact same articles were was what was popping up. I knew that more articles were uploaded because I checked their website, but I like to use the app much better. Then I went to check the app today to see if the big was fixed, and the articles that I were reading was from last year! I was reading re caps on Andy's season of The Bachelorette, which played that time one year ago. I'm not sure what is going on, but I am very frustrated. I love your articles, but I am unable to read them because of these bugs that won't go away. I hope that the app some how improves so I can go back to reading the stories as usual.

I Really Hate The New Update. Deleted my bookmarked/favorite articles, and not NEARLY so clean an interface. Irritating that there's no option to hide issues previous to my subscription, so they show up in the library with price stickers and no way to remove or hide them. That's as far as I've gotten - the new look is so irritating compared to the previous version that I haven't bothered to explore any further than this. I really hate the way the 'remove downloaded content' buttons sit so ostentatiously at the bottom of each of the downloaded issues. Definitely NOT a proponent of the new upgrade. Hopefully it's easier to search for content between issues. Will have to give it a try. → Despite my most recent tinkering, the new widget does not accomplish anything that I can see. Just sits there blankly.

The app never works.. I can’t scroll thru the magazine, so I’m paying to see the cover page. What is going on...

Liked it better before the last update. I normally don't write reviews but I had to list my frustrations that I have after this last update. After updating to the new version the app closes all the time, if by chance I do get the app to open I can't read the magazine because it takes forever to load and when I go to open the current issue up and start to read it says it is still loading even after it had told me that the issue was all loaded. I am also unable to read the issue (when I am finally able to read it after waiting for it to upload) without Internet access which I HATE! I want to be able to read the issues even wherever I want with or without internet! Please fix these problems ASAP!

Disappointed. This magazine is all about advertisements from various companies. No helpful readable content . Every new issue has more and more ads and less and less content.

You can do better.. A print subscription unless than half the price for a yearly digital download - choose that instead! This is nothing more than a low-quality scan of the magazine. Issues take significantly longer to receive than on newsstands (apparently they're intern is too overburdened to scan it every month!). Issues do not remember your page if you have to leave and come back, and there is no ability to bookmark (which is a must-have, and you would think they'd want people to reference articles or *gasp* ads for products you're interested in!). Really a waste of time and money. You can (and should) do better, Cosmo. How about your next "fun and fearless" person is an app developer? Then maybe we can get a halfway decent product.

Slow. The app loads really slowly.

App is useless!!. It’s evident this company isn’t investing into their app. It’s complete garbage. Disappointing to see a company of this much history not keep up with the pace. You can’t read an e-magazine unless you pay twice, on the website and on the app!! Logic??

Won’t work. Nothing but problems trying to read this magazine on this app. So disappointed, I have sent 2 emails asking for help and have gotten zero responses. I think it’s time I get a refund and go back to paper copies

Doesn’t work. I purchased a digital copy and it shows a price for each issues and a time limit I can view it for free!! The FAQ doesn’t help! I guess i just threw money away!

Overpriced & Ugly. I just hate everything about this app. The experience is confusing, the copy is physically hard to read, the design of every page looks sloppy and thrown together. The best part...it’s $20 lol.

Happy at first. The first issue was awesome. I loved the interactive aspects of Cosmo online. The ease of shopping right off the page. The fitness video was really cool too. Then I went to download the new issue. It took forever. If I went to another app while waiting the download stopped. October was to be my 3rd issue. Despite being available to me in late September, I have yet to read the entire issue. It still hasn't fully downloaded. It just keeps freezing and stalling. I am very frustrated. I hope the bugs get worked out or I will go back to the printed version. I would lose all the fun stuff I liked about the digital version. I would gain one as well. I could smell the perfume ads! You potentially have a great thing going on here Cosmo. Get it together and work out the kinks.

Terrible App. I downloaded this app with a trial annual subscription. The first two months (before payments kicked in), the app worked great! Once the first annual payment was charged to my account (with no confirmation email, as promised), the app started to act up. It would crash SECONDS upon opening the app. Every time. You cannot read any of the magazines downloaded whatsoever. I contacted support and they will tell you everything YOU may be doing wrong, i.e. restart after downloading, close all background apps, redownload app, download current version of app, etc. None of this works to resolve the conflict. I was told I would receive a refund for my annual purchase that is now useless. That was almost two months ago now. No refund has been sent yet. I continue to email, but whoever was so eager to talk before is now completely silent. There is no number at which to reach them either. DO NOT bother with this app. Buy the actual magazine if interested in reading it. Not worth it.

NEEDS fixing. I can’t even unsubscribe from this app. Horrible application. Please fix this asap

Can't download issues. Very disappointed with this app. I subscribed in February and was able to download the first 3 issues. I am subscribed for a year and its the second month in a row where I am not able to download new issues. What is the purpose of paying if we do not have access to the app and issues itself! Have also emailed customer service and no response!

I was there, in the beginning. It, cosmo was a liberating magazine long overdue! I was hooked from the state, but still at 63 it’s still my go to? Thanks

Convenient!! 😊😊👍🏻👍🏻. This is such a great app! The Cosmo issues are cheaper than in store, and I can favourite articles, scrap book, and send things to my friends! It's great!

Doesn't work!. Highly disappointed. I bought a one year subscription and I can't even view it... I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Cosmo. Would be a fantastic app if it didn't crash so often. Otherwise very easy to use!

Turn off cellular data etc.. I made SURE to download two copies while I was using wifi at home. I read both copies while I was at work thinking everything was fine. I was wrong. This app ran me 1.5 GB. I'm shocked. I was charged a 75$ overage on my bill this month. Update: if your subscription expires you can no longer see any of the previous issues that you paid for. Not worth it. Keep the hard copy

If I could give this 0 stars I would.... Paid $3.99 for February issue. I only get a black screen when I click on the issue. Fix this bug or give me my money back. :(

Unsatisfied. I purchased a year subscription from a magazine drive. Had access for half a month. Since the new update it tells me I don't have a subscription, tries to get me to purchase another subscription, and I cannot access my previously downloaded issue.

Nothing but problems. I have had a subscription for over a year and one day they all disappeared and it wanted me to purchase them all again! And I get NO help or answers from tech support.... Save the grief buy the paper edition.

Waste of time. The app actually let me used to read their news stories, now they don’t so the app is pretty much useless unless you’re a magazine subscriber. Deleted!

Getting frustrated. I understand that updates need to be done but since this one has happened ... I've been having nothing but problems -it's been taking forever to download and I'm trying to read one issue and it's taking forever to load the pages... it was a great app before so please fix this!!!!

Won't open.... I bought a subscription last month and got my first magazine, but I can't even get the app to open on my iPad. Not impressed.

Ridiculous. Last year, I subscribed to cosmo, thinking I would read it montlhy. After 3 months I had enough but I paid for a year. I didn't downloaded or open any issue since I don't read it, but today I received a bill from appstore and. Now I have to pay a whole year again for something I don't want. How can they decide for you to pay?? I totally regret and lost money on that crap

Crap!. Paid and December issue doesn't even work!!!! So mad waste of money!

Horrible. Since the update I have been unable to restore my subscription. My iTunes recognizes it but the app doesn't. I won't be renewing! Every major update they do it seems like I have to demand my subscription be reinstated. For something I've already paid for is ridiculous!

Love This App. I grew up in a somewhat religious house, and magazines such as Seventeen and Cosmopolitan. I can't afford to buy Cosmo on a monthly basis, but I can take a peek and if there's something I like I'll go out and get it.

You shouldn't need wi-fi. I thought once you purchased an issue it was downloaded to your iPad and could be read anytime. This is not true u need to be on wi-fi. For that reason I cancelled my subscription.

Terrible app!. The app works until you download a magazine then it crashes when you open it. The more magazines you download (when you first open it) the faster the app crashes at launch.

Update..download fails!. Horrible!!!! I also have paid for a subscription but the December issue will not download. Such a waste of money. Hope they fix the problem soon.

Amazing!. With this app you don't even have to open your laptop and search movie trailers you can just click on it, watch it and then get back to reading!

Waste of money. Paid for a 6 month subscription on the website and I can’t log in to the app to read my magazines! It’ll say “you’ve successfully subscribed”, but then I still have timers on every friggen magazine. When I click log out it’ll say “no network connection” even though I am clearly connected to the internet. Sometimes it’ll say the say thing when I try logging in too. I’m really peeved.

Customer Service. Automatic renewal....fraud much? Cannot easily manage your subscription account, and app tends to have problems adapting to iOS6 updates.

Not impressed. Paid for my December issue and it doesn't even work. Once it gets fixed ill be happy.

Horrible service. I emailed customer service numerous times because I couldn't receive my previous magazines and they keep forgetting my email , telling me to go through the same steps. This needs to be fixed I lost 5-6 magazines because of this

Not opening. I bought the February issue of Cosmo 2 weeks ago and it was my first time buying an iPad issue and it just won't open. The screen remains black when I click on the issue and there is absolutely no link or e-mails or anything goes wrong.

Doesn't open. I downloaded the latest version and it still wouldn't open!!!! Please fix it!!!!

New issue not working. Downloaded the may issue read about half of it then when I flipped another page it went black. Closed the app and it did the same thing in the same spot again . Tried downloading the magazine again and this time the whole magazine wouldnt show it was just black screen...... So awesome.... Wait forever for it to come and then it does and it doesn't even work. Totally not worth it stick to the paper copy. It's something you can actually rely on.

Poor app and poor customer service. I have been having issues with this app for the past couple of weeks, and Hearst magazine customer support have been poor to deal with. I have a digital subscription to Cosmo, but I have been unable to access this months magazine. It seemed to download with no issue, but when I try to open the magazine from newsstand it sends me to the Cosmo app, and when I try to read the magazine from the app it sends me back to newsstand and so on and so on. Customer support offered some suggestion, none of which has helped in the least. Their last suggestion was to uninstall the app and then reinstall it, doing so has now left me completely unable to log into my account at all. Overall, I have had a poor experience with this app and with their support services, and I would recommend anyone wanting to read Cosmo, to just buy a real subscription instead.

Needs software update. I've been trying to download the May issue for the past week or so. It says pending and doesn't do anything or loads a little then crashes to a black screen. I bought a year subscription before I knew it would be this much trouble. It seems that other people are having the same problem with loading issues and it needs to be fixed. Some of the articles didn't load fully and some of the scrolling didn't work.

I wish there was a zero star option.. This publication makes me so angry sometimes because they seem to think they are New York Times. When I come to read cosmo I want to read about better sex positions and other things that you equate to the magazine. Instead during this last election cycle all I have seen is a bunch of feminist, anti Trump propaganda that annoys me flank end. I'm all for voicing your opinion but it is so biased that I can't even stomach it. You have readers from all demographics and back grounds so why not try to appease to all of them because you are angering so many people. I will not be buying another cosmo magazine or related product again. I'd rather support a publication that supports our country and everyone in it.

Seriously lacking. I have had this app for nearly a year and now it continues to crash. It downloads the next issue then immediately erases it. SHOULDN'T EVEN GET 1 STAR. DO NOT BUY This app fails compared to all other magazine apps especially glamour. Cosmo take a page out of their book and upgrade your app! The magazine is just a PDF of the real thing and you can tell because some of the ads are the wrong size (lIke the ones that are usually side bar ads have their own pages here) there was a even a scratch n sniff ad!! I bet ad companies aren't too pleased with that either and to be honest in the glamour app I love looking at ads because they're formatted correctly and on the hd screen they look gorgeous and over here we've got scratch and sniff!

Waste of Money. I paid for an annual subscription. After a few months. Of being too busy to read, I tried downloading back issues. I have 5 months of consecutive issues paid for that I cannot read because it is asking me to purchase them after I paid as an annual subscriber. Emailed customer support and a response of letting me know it is a known issue. A month later the app is still broken, so I asked for a refund. Funny, they can take my money but they can't refund it nor do they seem concerned with fixing the issue. More like a scam than an app. Beware.

Love it!. I love having my favorite magazine available for download straight to my iPad. If you're having trouble, you should go to the FAQ page under the account tab. I haven't had any issues with my subscription yet, but I did read over it in case I came across similar issues in the future. You won't regret buying this😁😆☺

Do NOT use this app. This is by far the most useless app I've ever encountered and what hurts the most is that I paid for a subscription (which I'm seeking to get reimbursed for). The whole point of being digital is the instant gratification in receiving information sooner than print or at the same time as print. This app is the opposite of what digital should be. Instead of receiving my feb issue at the same time the printed edition was released (which was mid-jan) Seven days into february and I still have not received it. Hearst digital response to my inquiry was "The February 2012 edition of Cosmo is not yet available on the iPad, though it should be very soon." That was sent to me on 2/3/12. It's now 2/7/12 and no feb issue. So what is the point in reading the Feb issue in March?

COSMO. Works great for me and I love having access to enter sweepstakes, buy items, and the nifty option to click the words and skip to an article. Plus I can save pieces of articles I like and share later. And it helps that since I always have my phone with me I never go without something to read when I'm waiting or bored. This just makes the magazine much more amazing.

Smh at these reviews. Before giving this app a bad rating, which all magazine apps seem to have, I contacted Cosmo. They helped me fix the crash that temporarily prevented me from viewing an issue. The main thing is to be patient when downloading other than having to wait and stare at the screen waiting for the current issue, my magazine runs pretty smooth. :-)

Terrible service. I will not renew this subscription once my current one expires. I would rather go buy the most recent issue at the store than wait two months to download. I subscribe to many other digital magazines which are all released in a timely manner but this has been a huge let down. I wonder if anyone from the magazine even reads these reviews. I have tried to figure out a way to contact their customer service without success. My recommendation....don't subscribe! I wish I could give negative stars.

I love Cosmo just not the app.. I love Cosmo, I read it every month and have for years however this app is horrible and it is not interactive like Glamour's. I am lucky if it doesn't crash, which it does 95% of the time. Normally I have to wait until the next months issue comes out before I can read an issue if I am lucky. Sometimes an issue won't open at all and I can never read it, like March's. I feel sort of cheated out of my yearly subscription fee as I have been able to read maybe every third issue. I would expect more from Cosmo and it should definitely be more interactive. All in all I will still read Cosmo, just on paper once my subscription is up.

Works Great for Me!. Just downloaded this app and my first issue on the iPad 3 with the current iOS. Everything downloaded relatively quickly, opened super fast, and worked without any issues. I love the ease of using the app and all of its features. I may never read a print issue again!

Waste. I bought this for a year and it's been a month the February issues in print but i can't get it. The whole point was to get it hassle free without buying it at the store. Now I just get to look at it in the store and hope I get access soon since I paid for a year. They give no helpful support on their website just links for buying another subscription. What a waste! I am not renewing and won't even be purchasing in store now because I'm so disappointed in this app.i have had it since October and no attempts to fix the app have been made.

Horrible. I gave this app 2 stars because you can actually read the articles it's great. I download the mag and try to read but no!!!!!!!! You have to wait until every page downloads and then you can read the articles. Imagine to my surprise when I tried to read my episode of Cosmo only to be rejected because downloading the issue doesn't mean the issue fully downloaded to your device. You don't get a notification if the issue hasn't finished downloading. I thought the digital copy would be helpful to the environment but it's only increased my stress. I will no longer be subscribing to the digital or paper copy.

Huge disappointment. The February 2012 issue has been in stores for WEEKS, when you have a subscription for something as a general rule aren't you supposed to receive it BEFORE it hits stores? If I would have known this I never would have purchased an online subscription. Please take note of this Cosmo, the vast majority of your iPad using customers are extremely dissatisfied with the level of service and professionalism we are receiving. I expect more from such a well known, prestigious magazine; they certainly have the resources to digitally scan the pages of their new issues the day they come out.

Constantly crashes. Please update the app and fix the bugs!! It is constantly crashing! I can't even open an issue any,ore without the app crashing and I have wasted so much money buying issues that I can't read!! I purchased the June issue but haven't even been able to finish downloading it and that was the first week of June!!!

Can't view Feb. & March issues!!. I've had a subscription to Cosmopolitan on my iPad for a year now and never had any trouble viewing issues until the February one came out. I've tried deleting the app, restarting, deleting single issues, and have always waited for issues to completely load before viewing and still get a black screen any time I try to view the new issues. This is really irritating!! I've almost bought the physical copy several times just so I can read my monthly guilty pleasure. Please fix this Cosmo!

Cancellation. This is the third time I've tried writing this review. If you don't pick a nickname that's never been used it erases what you wrote and you have to start over. Nothing about this is user or customer friendly. I have been trying for weeks to cancel my subscription. This shouldn't even be legal what they are doing. Telling me I don't have an account or that they aren't authorized to cancel anything for me. If I don't have an account WHY am I getting charged every month? They make you jump through a thousand hoops until you get so fed up that you give up. Wish I could give negative stars. All I want is to cancel my subscription and it's like I'm asking for the most absurd request. It is an outrage how much they have charged me for a product I don't even use.

Want NEW Issues!. I agree with previous reviews, it's really annoying to see the latest issue on the shelf available when it is not available on the iPad. I subscribe and pay for it on my iPad and have to wait two weeks until after it hits shelves to actually read it!? What is worse is that other magazines are released on the iPad when they are released on store shelves AND have special features and interactive ads, not a packaged PDF of the issue, which takes no work at all, makes no sense why Cosmo takes so long to be released digitally.

Joining the ANNOYED Group!. I am so torn on my rating on this Cosmo app. 1) I have been a very dedicated and pleased Cosmopolitan Magazine reader and subscriber for over 20 years; 2) I love my new iPad and especially having the ability and ease to read books and my favorite magazines. It makes it even easier when traveling, which I do a lot; 3) I am already committed to another 2 years on my paper delivery subscription; 4) Why would I want to... or should I... have to pay again for the same subscription? Inasmuch as I love my monthly Cosmo, I just can't see paying twice.... especially when most of my other subscriptions allow the dual subscription!! Giving you the extra star ONLY because I've been diehard Cosmo Girl and now Cosmo Woman... ALWAYS!!! WHY must everyone be so greedy these days?? I truly believe it's a huge problem in the World today!!! :-( PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE F-I-X-!!! Thank You!!

Ridiculous!. The first issue I downloaded was great. Unfortunately, there are no new issues available. Good thing I went for a month to month subscription instead of paying for the whole thing upfront. I already have March issues for 2 of my digital subscriptions, and February issues of the others...all except Cosmo! Come on people, get your act together! Apple, this is not up to your standards either. You should force Cosmo to cancel and refund all digital subscriptions through IPad until they fix this and can get issues out on time. Consider me very disappointed, which is hard to believe because I generally have pretty low expectations about apps!

Awful! Don't waste your money!. This app is horrible I'm so disappointed. It downloaded my first issue nicely and without issue so I subscribed for the whole year....now I can't get any new issues! The February issue has been in stores for more than 2 weeks now and it still isn't available or wont show up to download on the iPad app. I wish I could get my money back or just convert to a paper subscription, at least that way I'd be able to read the magazine! this needs to be fixed or people should be refunded!

DO NOT BUY epic fail Cosmo. Will NOT be renewing! As a subscriber, why is there a new issues in stores WEEKS before I can download it? Some scam to tempt me to buy a print copy as well? So angry. Was also considering Cosmo UK. Def not now... called and complained to Cosmo...apparently they cannot do anything for us or about it because its "Apple's Problem" really great customer service. Told again "it should be out in a few days" and that "they should be out the same time the print magazine is out" Really? Because it's feb 1st and STILL nothing Update: feb 5th STILL nothing!? Glad Cosmo seems to care about the customers they're losing...take the money and run I guess

Things to consider. There's quite a few things to consider before buying your subscription of cosmopolitan via iPad or other electronic device. One is that you don't get the print and online version in one subscription. Another is that it costs the same to get the online subscription as it does the paper version. You can actually get the newest issue on newsstands earlier than online, and the magazines do take quite a bit of space. Sure you can archive to save space, but really it's not he same. Consider what you want in your subscription before subscribing. Cosmo really need to make the subscription better to incentivize people to continue with an online subscription.

Horrible. When I first bought this it worked great, but now it doesn't. The app keeps kicking me out and when it finally downloads it will not let me open the magazine at all. I have followed the frequently asked questions and problems, but that hasn't helped at all. I have cancelled my renewal for next year. Very disappointed

Disappointed. I was very disappointed that I could use my print subscription to log into this app. I am going to China and can't take my magazines because I have no extra space. I was planning on reading the June Cosmo on the flight. I had to use my glamor and Elle subscriptions instead and will miss out on having Cosmo. Wish they'd change this!

Frustrating! 😤. I like the new way of accessing the magazine but this app has some major kinks that need to be worked on. App icon doesn't update with current issue downloaded, I've been having trouble with a blank screen and its my 5th time deleting and downloading the app. Please fix these problems!!

Horrible,horrible app. Non-existent customer service, stick with print version. Horrible app - I strongly recommend you stick with the print version. As soon as your subscription auto-renews you lose access to all your previously paid for issues. Had not even read the last 2 when they auto-renewed and the prev year flipped back to having to be bought individually. Even more idiotic, you can download issues to your iPad but unless you have active Internet connectivity you cannot see them. I download issues to read on the plane, but no, you immediately get an error that there is no Internet connectivity and can't access your downloaded issues - WORTHLESS! Shame you have to even give a single star!

Terrible. Wrote my first review 9 months ago when I first downloaded this app to my brand new iPad, but realized it never "submitted" when I came here today to write another review about how terrible this app is. IF it even lets you begin downloading an issue, you can't even walk away from the screen otherwise it will totally erase all the progress made in downloading. Also never, ever remembers issues I HAVE downloaded (the "restore past issues" never works). It's ridiculous. You'd think these magazine apps were simple enough to develop/maintain...I have plenty others that work fine AND look much more complex.

Crashes. I have paid for a years subscription and have not been able to download a single issue since April it just crashes on me. I am trying to redownload if this does not fix the issue I will be complaining to the company and will want a full refund on my subscription.. I chose not to get it in the mail and expect to be able to read something that I have purchased

Pretty Good. I have the 1st generation iPad and I'm running iOS 5. I don't have the same problems as others, probably because I'm running iOS 5 instead of iOS 6. The interactivity is good. There are a couple things that bug me: 1) The sensitivity of the contents page is so high that when I touch it to swipe to the next page it activates a link on the contents page and I'm transported to an article near the end of the magazine. 2) The iPad version is not available until much later than the print version. Organizing it so that both versions come out at the same time would be great. One suggestion to make the iPad version even better: add an option to bookmark a specific page or article so that when I'm referencing the magazine later on, I won't have to swipe through the whole magazine again to find it. Overall, a pretty good iPad version of a magazine, if you're running the right iOS and magazine version.

Great app iPad. Idk if the previous reviews caused this app to work better, but I subscribed for the year subscription and the issues appear perfect. I love how you can tap on text and go to an article. Also, I love the answer scroll feature and so much more. I really enjoy this app, not only is it conveniently stowed in my iPad, it is colorful.

PATHETIC EXCUSE OF AN APp. JANUARY is now available in stores... Where the heck is december's issue for the app.... This is plain wrong. Really getting annoyed with the lack of december issue... Bought a one year subscription and downloaded the november issue. The december has been in stores over 3 weeks now, why can't i get my digital copy already. All my other digital subscriptions have had the december issue available for at least the past week. Overall the format is ok, but i regret subscribing due to untimely updates and no easy way to getvin touch with support for the app... Update: got my money back for the subscription by contacting apple app support. Cosmo, not only have you lost the money from my digital subscription I now have no desire to purchase your hardcopy... You should consider fixing your app before losing more customers... Does anyone at cosmo bother to read these reviews?

Ads Always in the Way. Every time I try to read an article, ads pop up on my phone for other apps directing my phone to my App Store any time I scroll to read further. Often they will do this in quick succession, meaning I have to go back four times in a row at the least, and by then my app has completely frozen and I have to scroll back to where I was in the article, inevitably starting the whole irritating process again. I would enjoy the read and convenience of having the magazine and subsequent articles on my phone if they could get their ads under control. As it is, I am incredibly frustrated!

Restoring purchases is a pain (and doesn't work). Even though I am a subscriber, I have trouble every month with downloading the new issue. Currently I have tried at least 5 times to restore my issues in order to download the new one and it still wants me to buy it with an in-app purchase. This has happened since I had a subscription to the magazine on here (about 6 months) and I am going to cancel my membership after a year is up if this happens every month, when the restore doesn't work, I have to send an email to support and that takes over a week.... I'm sorry but Cosmo will lose my business if this isn't fixed soon. It is taking too much of my time.

They need to fix some problems!. I love the Cosmopolitan magazine itself, but this app is SO frustrating with all of the problems it has! I have had trouble downloading the last few issues and am at the point now where the most recent issue won't download at all. Also, while reading the magazine--if I'm lucky enough to do so--it frequently, all of the sudden, decides to send me to a completely random page...leaving me to have to search for the page I was on before. I actually am shocked nothing has been done with all of the negative/constructive feedback on here. If they would just simply fix the glitches, I would have no problem remaining a subscriber. As of now, however, my plans are to cancel my subscription unless something is done.

Do not buy a subscription!!. The app subscription is a huge rip-off. I thought everyone was just being harsh and I subscribed anyway... Now I'm out 20 bucks. First, there is no customer service support for the app at all and if you use the customer service offered on the website they NEVER get back to you. I've been waiting 2 weeks for a response. Second, issues take a stupid-long time to be available. The febraury issue has been in stores for weeks, since mid-January. Even the February British edition is already available. IT was available Feb. 1 Third, they don't allow you to cancel your iPad subscription. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. Shame on you Cosmo & thanks for nothing.

Never again. This is my second time have issues with Cosmo first print now digital. I have been waiting to download the may issue. At first it wasn't even available, and now I have to purchase the issue even though I have paid for a yearly subscription. I want my product or a refund for my money I know a yearly subscription has more than 3issues in it. Do not do not download this app dont subscribe for a digital issue it's a ripoff

Awful!!!!. So pretty much this app has had problems for like, the last 2ish years. First I couldn't open any issues, then the issues wouldn't download, and now every time I go to open an issue, the app crashes. I don't even know why I keep paying for this crap, probably because I'm hoping that Cosmo will eventually get their crap together.....hopefully. However, since I downloaded the app two years ago, this "hoping" thing I'm doing doesn't seem to be getting anybody anywhere... If you want to read Cosmo, may I suggest buying the actual copy. Or maybe a paper subscription. The app is NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!!

Print vs eCopy. I would like to state that Elle magazine provides eCopy for ALL of their print subscribers. Cosmo needs to step up or accept losing customers. Other magazines have made it possible and convenient. Now let have Cosmo do the same. The customers are expecting and demanding it. Obviously the eCopy of this magazine has some major glitches and issues that are being worked out. I feel the best way to promote your app and eCopy would be to include the eCopy to current hard copy subscribers. Obviously hard copy subscribers love your magazine and are loyal monthly readers. Convenience them over to eCopy or include it so that there is no need to buy the same product TWICE and you will continue to have loyal customers on both and all spectrums. I also believe one of your magazines promoting the app suggested that a subscription included the eCopy; or at least is was extremely unclear. Bottom line. I am a subscriber. Make me want to use these app. Other magazines and news papers include eCopy to hard copy users. Give me a reason to utilize this product without charging me TWICE.

Why do I need 2 subscriptions?. Why would I pay for an iPad subscription when I already pay for the print version. I would love to have both but will not pay twice. How is Cosmo so far behind other major magazines like Glamour, Elle, Better Homes and Gardens and many more who will allow you to get your subscription digitally on the iPad for free when you subscribe to the print version. This is clearly the direction the industry is going and I would love to see Cosmo get with the times and give me the subscription I already pay for on my iPad as well.

Completely terrible. This app is absolutely a nightmare. I always have to update my subscription every time I open the app even though no other magazine I subscribe to makes me do that. It takes forever to download new issues. I'm constantly having problems with the download, while its in the middle the program will shut down and then I'll have to start from the beginning which takes forever as is. A total disaster is what this is. DON'T DOWNLOAD. Cosmopolitan should really have some better service. Such a disappointment.

Terrible. I saw the February issue on newsstands and was surprised to get home and see it was not yet available digitally. I contacted the company to ask, under the heading Missed Issue, but they couldn't find me because I had no delivery address nor account number (since I don't have the hardcopy). Still, a generic message said my subscription will be extended by one month because I missed an issue. They don't even know whose account to credit... Then I finally reached someone who said it would be available Jan. 25th. I'm still waiting. I got this app thinking I'd be able to enjoy Cosmo, but it's only been a headache. Wait until this app has much needed improvements, and just enjoy the print editions until then!

Are you kidding me?!. I understand the newstand feature is new and all, but if customers are going to be charged then they need to be given the product. I know some things are beyond a company's control, but at least an update stating there is an issue, and it is being resolved, is well deserved. If the magazine is going to come out later than it should I believe Cosmo should be able to allow the customers that waited to download a free copy. $1.99 isn't going to hurt you THAT much ... besides look at how much your advertisers paid and we're not seeing their ads!

It's pretty good.. I agree with the others that we should be able to get it at the beginning of the month and not have to wait a few weeks to get it. I had no problems with this app until this month when it's skipping through the magazine. I start at the beginning and when I try to go to the next page it's sending me into the middle or towards the end of the magazine. I bought this so when I'm on the go I don't have to carry around a bulky magazine. But at this point I'm starting to think I would rather carry a magazine around so I can actually read it.

Worst App Ever. I downloaded this app, so I could read the magazine more discretely while being in public or with family. After purchasing the magazine and "downloading" it, the screen is just black every time. I restart it my app, re-download it and there's the same problem. I've tried for several days now, and there's been no improvement. Almost makes me want to never read their magazines again, because they clearly aren't monitoring if what they're doing is successful--which from my experience and these other reviews, Cosmo is not being successful with this endeavor.

Finally I think Cosmo is actually listening. I have had this APP since it first came out, and I was ready to give up on it because it had a lot of issues. Just read previous reviews.. Anyway the last 2 months it's been great... :) the issues are actually coming out on time and I have have no issues downloading.. I'm glad that this got fixed.. I am a happy girl now :)

Disappointed.... Frustrating to pay for a yearly subscription simply to find that you are not up-to-date. I hate going to stores and seeing the December issue on shelves for about two weeks and it's still not available electronically! The latest I have is Nikki Minaj, while I see people walking around with the Adele cover! And I refuse to buy in store because I've paid for it electronically. So disappointing that such a great magazine with reputation would do this to their loyal customers! It's sad that by the time there is a new issue electronically, the next months issue is already in stands! Needs an immediate fix, and Apple should make this policy for Newsstand providers!

Good in theory. This app is a great idea, it just doesn't follow through. It takes FOREVER for new magazines to be uploaded. Once you have the magazine, the pages sometimes freeze so you either have to go through and choose page by page from the "page viewer" or restart the magazine. Most frustrating thing is seeing new magazines out in news stands for WEEKS and wondering when the h*** your app is gonna be updated. If they can't figure it out, it's a smarter idea to just subscribe to the physical magazine.

Better Than Print Version. I love the way this app looks. I like clicking on the plus signs if it is something that I want to know more about. I didn't have a subscription already, so I don't mind buying the issues. Others have complained about downloads. Mine takes quite a while with my wi-fi at home but it is totally worth it. Personally, I prefer this version better than the print version.
