Love this app. Having only tried a couch to 5K a few times unsuccessfully, I decided to finally get serious on my year of health and fitness. I downloaded this app rather than the 5K one because someday as a final challenge I will do a 10K. This app has been perfection. I don’t follow it perfectly because I was more fit cardiovascular than I thought and I was able to jump ahead. I now use the day where I jog 35 minutes training for my 5K because I want the first time I ever jog a 5K to also be the first time I jog3 miles ever as a human. So thanks to this app I am doing it next weekend and I will continue to use the app because I like the audibles so I know where I am. Next year a 10K!!! Thanks for a great app. My asthma and lungs appreciate you!!

Great app! Just one suggestion…. Great app! In a future update, can we get the ability to easily turn on and off whether the app shares our workout with Apple Health, Apple Fitness, and other health / fitness apps? I track my running sessions with both 10K Runner and Apple Fitness workout tracker on Apple Watch, so I can get granular heart rate and pace per mile data along with the coaching from this app. The only problem is that I get double credit for every run in Apple Health, My Net Diary (calorie counting app), and my Apple Watch exercise rings. An easy way to turn off sharing to certain other apps to prevent this double counting would be awesome. Other than that, a flawless app.

Love this app! *Updated*. Update: The most recent update is awesome! I LOVE that I no longer have to unsilence my Phone to hear the run/walk notifications. Also, it now has you log how easy or hard the run was, which I think will be great data. I paid for this app years ago and it has been awesome every time I need to get back into running after a break! This app has really motivated me to get back into running after a long break! The only thing that annoys me is every time I close and reopen the app it starts me at day 1 and I have to scroll through to find the day I'm in. Not a huge deal, but probably something that could be easily fixed.

Great for running a 10K in my own room. At first, I was using this app to run at the gym on a treadmill. I enjoyed it, but since I was tight on money trying to pay for the gym, I decided to cancel my gym membership and work out at home. I don’t have a treadmill at home and I hate running outside. So I thought...why not run in place in my own room? Y’all!! That was a complete game changer!! So I jog, run around my room and do high knees while staying within the perimeter of my room and it was legit the best “run” I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to complete a 10K “run” in my own room! Not just your room, you can run around the house with this app. I highly recommend it! It’s okay to think outside the box!

Finished my first 10K Today. I waited to review this app until I finished my first ever 10K. I'm 42 years old and never been a runner. Went from 0 to 10K following this app. I didn't believe it could happen when I saw that my last run would be 60 mins long but I stuck with it and it worked. I only had one run that I couldn't finish on this app's schedule, and i think that was due to a poor diet. I did every other one just as laid out. It was a huge accomplishment for me, and one I didn't think I could do. If I can do it you can do it. Amazing app. Worth every dollar. Now my wife is on it and she's halfway through the schedule and we're planning our next 10K together.

Good coaching, not accurate min/mi. This app is ideal for anyone that wants to do exactly as the name says “couch to 10k” essentially, just be able finish it running non-stop. If you are hoping to improve your run or you care about your pace, try something else. It has absolutely helped me run further, longer and I was by no means a runner. When I saw that it tracked my run at 9:13/mi I was absolutely thrilled. It was unbelievable that I could do so well! …a little too unbelievable, so I decided to track the run (excluding warmup walk and cooldown walk) separately as an outdoor run in my apple watch. Results: couch to 10k avg 9:13/mi. Apple watch 10:47/mi. I thought the app was a bit off, but seeing the results was devastating. Over a minute’s difference might be negligible if you were doing other things like waiting for coffee, but for running times, that’s huge. Overall it’s a good app but I think you pay for it after 7 days (I don’t actually remember) and if you’re paying for it, you should be getting accurate info. If it’s free then hey it’s free, just don’t rely on the pace.

Have been using it for years. Have gone thru several periods in my life where my run fitness has dropped. I use this app to get back at it. If you’ve never run before this is also a great way to start. This time I am back at it post-pregnancy. Gave 4 stars because sometimes the sound on the app goes down mid run. It doesn’t always happen but can be annoying when you are counting on it to tell you to walk. Again this is a minority of times. Today it happened when I also started a workout on my Apple Watch. I think the watch took over by buzzing my wrist the notifications which is easy to miss mid run. I was able to get sound back by pulling out my phone and fiddling with screen leaving 10K app locked but on display. I would like it if in addition to telling you “you’re halfway there” it also told you this is run in segment 5 to keep you mentally motivated that you are really “almost done”. Thanks for developing this. I know you’ve helped a lot of people.

Game-changer. This app has helped me get back to where I want to be on the running spectrum. I have been a runner on and off for most of my adult life (I’m 47) so I know what it feels like to be happy with my running performance but also frustrated when I’m not fit. I was very frustrated with my level of fitness when I first started using this app but in time, have worked my way back to a level of confidence in my running that I haven’t had in a long time. I’m in week 11 now and love the shape I’m in, but also that if I get sick and have to miss some workouts I can just get back to it. The app even checks in with you and asks if you want to adapt your training schedule if you miss running for a little while. Very cool. I’m definitely a fan :)

It used to work great :(. This app used to run great in previous IOS versions. Now it will not talk or beep when screen is locked. The phone is not on vibrate or silent mode. For this to work the phone has to be unlocked and the app in the foreground. If in the background you might missed the instruction to start running. If in the foreground, it can jump between walk and run within a second (While in my pocket, perhaps the forward button is being pressed accidentally). If the screen is locked, the Apple Watch 10K app will not stay in sync. Ex: The “Run” timer will reach zero but it will not transition to Walk and the same with Walk timer. Can you make the 10K Apple Watch app independent of the phone? This way we can leave phone behind and go for a run?

A great app missing a few key features. Overall this is a fantastic app - easy to use, extremely helpful, and well designed. However, it has a couple flaws that routinely bug me: - Why isn't there an option to have an audio prompt when you reach your halfway point? It's super frustrating to run too far from home, and then end up walking a considerable distance back. This might not matter if you run on a track, but for those of us who run around the neighborhood or on our lunch breaks at work when total time is the priority, it would be great to know when we reached the halfway point - The Apple Watch integration is sluggish and clunky, end it does not appear to have been updated since Apple started allowing native apps to run on the watch. This means that when you check your Watch for your current stats during a run, it will show in correct and updated information while it's very, very slowly refreshes from the phone. The Apple Watch integration just doesn't work, and needs to be rebuilt as a true native app

Paid for this app years ago and can’t use it now. Several years ago, I outright paid for the 10K Runner app (before it became a subscription). I was always able to utilize the full 10K Runner program. Sometime over the last couple of years, it seems the app was updated and a subscription is now required to utilize the full program. I attempted to “restore purchases” from settings, but to no avail, I cannot have full access to the program. I can only access the first four days. I used to love this app but because I can’t even use it, I can’t help but give it one star. This is incredibly disappointing that I actually paid for this app years ago, and now (on the same Apple ID, the only one I’ve ever had), I can’t use it without paying for a subscription. What happened to grandfathering in folks who bought the app prior to the implementation of a subscription? Other fitness apps have moved to a subscription as well but didn’t make their users who purchased the app from the beginning pay for a subscription to access full features. Seems like the point of purchasing the app has been defeated. Wishing I’d never bought it.

Helping me run again postpartum. I’ve ran on and off my whole life and even ran a marathon 9 years ago. After having 2 babies it’s been hard for me to start running again. I started doing daily walks for about 3 months and finally got to the place where I wanted to start running. I ran for 25 minutes one day so I decided to start looking for a training program. I came the 5k to 10K app and I cannot say enough good things about it! I have never enjoyed running so much in my life! I am making steady progress and able to do every workout. I took the assessment at the beginning and it placed me in a good spot. It also assess how the runs feel and moves you up or will even give you an “optimized” run to help you along. I am so excited to keep using this app and reach my next goal of running a 10K!!!

App is amazing. Update: lol, it’s been a while (like 5 years since running) either I forgot how hard the jump from Week 3 run 3 to Week 4 run 1 is or I am just old. Probably both, I am out of shape lol. I just had to slow down my pace. Keep at it everyone. In the end you’ll be glad you did. I’ve used the app a few times to get back into running condition for the military. In case anyone is wondering about what speed to run, run at your own pace of course but the app assumes you will run a 10 minute mile to achieve the 5k and 10K trophies. The final run of 60 minutes for a 10K (6 miles) is a 10 minute mile. If you run faster as I do, you’ll hit a 5k and 10K much quicker. On the 5k pacer app someone complained about bumping fast forward and rewind. Just press the lock button right in the middle of the screen and you won’t bump the FF or RW buttons :-)

Perfect to start running or get back on track.. Picked this up after shoulder surgery this winter. I was a track and field guy in high school, but hurt my back pretty bad in 09 and have done a lot more walking and weights since. Wrecked my bicep last year and had to have it and my shoulder repaired. As part of my rehab I decided to start running again. Day one was with 10k runner and I haven't done anything since. Pacing is good and thought out and it allows me to use iTunes and Strava (another running biking app I use for splits and heart rate) without issue. Liked it so much my sister, former college hockey player also with back issues, has started using it as well. I like the program enough that once I finish the 10k I'm trying to decide if I should get the half or go all in and get the full marathon. Highly recommend.

Stopping Runs. I absolutely love this app, however I have come across one issue time and time again despite only being on week 4. Basically what I have been dealing with is partially my fault, but still very irritating. Mid-way through a run I might accidentally turn my phone on which results in “swiping up” on the app (basically just closing the entire app). What this means is none of my progress on that particular run has been saved, and I essentially have to skip through the different intervals to wherever I was when this mishap occurred. If anything could be done to help prevent this (keep the app running in the background just in case??) I would SO appreciate it.

Running at last. I got the app after suffering a foot injury. After healing and learning how to run correctly, with my body inline (not leaning forward or back) I started slowly by myself. Since I wasn't sure how to get back to my 5miles for 5days a week routine.(I run for sanity!) I started using the app.I almost quit running totally. It was hard ok harder than I thought. And yes I had to repeat a few days here and there to feel like I was comfortable to move on. So now I'm almost done with week 7 and I'm running for 20 minutes and able to say I'm loving my runs again!!! And this app helped me get here!!! And I can't wait until my smiles come at the end of a 10K I plan to run!!! Wahoo!!! You can do this!!!

Great with flaws. I love the audio prompts and half-way warnings. I love the encouragement to run/walk rather than just run. As a swimmer who has tried to “become a runner” many times in my life and failed due to injury, this app has helped me try again but smarter. What I don’t like is that the stats for speed and calories are totally incorrect. I run my Apple Watch “run” at the same time as 10K runner on my phone. 10K runner will say I ran a 10 min mile when my watch says it was a 13 min mile. That’s because 10K runner will take the distance I went over the course of 30 minutes (5 min warm up, 20 min run/walk, 5 min cool down) and divide it by the 20 minutes I was in run/walk. So instead of going 2 miles over 30 minutes, it’ll say I went 2 miles over 20 minutes, a 10 min mile. But it’s wrong and discouraging when I realize I’m actually much much slower. Just give me the right stats. I like to live in reality and set goals based on it.

I like this app EXCEPT.... On two occasions now, the time elapse has been wildly inaccurate. I ran for well over a mile and a half and the app reported I had only completed 3 minutes of my run time. This can feel so debilitating when you’re trying so hard to meet the goals. It’s not the first time either. Also the forward, back and pause buttons are easily triggered and there’s no way to return to where you were before doing so. There’s also been a malfunction with the music option since I first got the app. Selecting an iTunes playlist causes the app to freeze. I have to close and restart every time. Now I control my music outside the app. Any help I can get with these issues will ups be great. I wonder if anyone else experiences these glitches.

love this app!!. i have never written an app review before, but this app honestly deserves it. i downloaded this about 2 and a half weeks ago, after spending years going through cycles of trying to “become a runner” and quickly giving up because i lacked the endurance or skills i wanted to see and had no way of knowing how to get there. this app has been amazing for that!! i paid for the $8 three month subscription so that i could start at week 6 (where i felt my fitness level was at), and the results have already been amazing! i go 6 days a week instead of the fixed 3 and have seen huge progress in my fitness levels and my mindset when it comes to running. would definitely recommend for anyone interested in becoming a “runner” without paying absurd amounts for a personal trainer or fancy program. my only complaint is that you can’t really customize the plan you make too much. like i said above, it’s a fixed three runs per week schedule and it’d be nice to be able to start at your fitness level instead of the absolute beginner steps.

Great for beginners and marathon runners. I love how each run helps you progress at a good pace. I first got this app to train for a 10K and it helped me do just that. I ran my first 10K in about the 60 min goal and I’m by no means a runner. I actually hate running but the 10K was for a good cause so this app helped motivate me and ease me into running. I’m also not a huge gym person so this helped me with a starting point for working out as well. Then I was in an accident and haven’t been able to run or work out so this app is getting me back on track. I typically hate paying for apps but this app was worth it. Honestly, I’m the kind of person who doesn’t even like paying $1 for an app but I’ve had this app since early 2018 and I’ve used it multiple times since so I think I’ve gotten my money’s worth. Get it! You won’t be disappointed.

Awesome Training Program. I’ve used this app for several years now. When I first wanted to get into running, it helped me stay on track with my training. After getting married, having kids, etc... my running days were behind me. Fast forward several years, the kids were older and I decided to give running another shot. I used this app to get me to 5K. My goal was 10K but once again, I put the app down and did my own training. I ended up tearing the meniscus in my knee. I completed physical therapy, etc. My knee didn’t improve. I took another 2 years off from running. Here I am again, using the app to help me once more and this time, I will not stray from it. My knee hurts still but it’s tolerable. I use the app every third or fourth day to keep my training steady but not overwhelming. I’m o my two more training days from 5K again. I’m not sure if I’ll ever make it to 10K but time will tell. One thing is certain, if I do make it there, it’ll be from this app helping me. THANK YOU APP TEAM!

Fixed!. Updated Review: New version 8.210 fixed the crash. Thanks for the quick bug fix! I use this app regularly to make sure I’m prepared for running my next 10K. It has always been extremely helpful from beginning to completion. I’m still an amateur runner, so it’s nice to have this and gauge my current fitness level. Fantastic app and the paid version is worth it if you’re serious about getting to 10K. Previous Review: Paid user enjoying this app for the past couple of years, but it no longer works since the most recent update to version 8.200. Please fix this so I can get back to my training! Will happily update my review when it’s fixed. iPhone 8+ iOS 12.4.1

App Opens To Last Run. I’ve been enjoying this app as I go from a pretty regular walker to gearing up to be part of a relay team in a marathon. I do wish I could turn off my phone screen and still have the audio announce starts and stops in my headphones. Also, I just realized I repeated Week 4/Day1. This has almost happened before, but I was able to catch an correct before I got too far into the first run. It would be really great if there was a pop up warning saying, “You have already completed this run. Are you sure you want to repeat it?” Because I’m on a timeline, now I need to decide if I try to fit another run in back-to-back to stay on schedule or just skip the run I was supposed to do today and just pick up with Week 4/Day 3.

Love this app!. Update: Stopped running for quite a long time and just started back up. This app is the one thing that helps me keep running. I just run until she says to stop. I love it. 2 years ago: I ran the Big Sur half marathon a couple of years ago and then life seemed to go crazy and my running definitely took a back seat. I would try to get in a couple mile run here and there but I could hardly run a 1/4 mile before having to stop and walk. So, at the beginning of this past summer, my 12 yr old and I (54 yrs old) started using the 10k runner app. She can run a 3 min 1/2 mile but distance was hard for her. I guess that that all the incentive I needed to get started again. Just ran 4.58 miles today in five - 10 min intervals. May not make any distance awards but I'm extremely happy with how easy it has been to work my way back up! Tried for 2 yrs to get back into it myself -- definitely would recommend!

Wonderful App!. I have been a long distance runner since junior high, but after high school, I didn't keep up with it consistently. This app is awesome for me because it's easing me back into running. The first few runs seem a little easy, but they progress in difficulty quickly enough. I love that it tells me when to run and when to walk. It makes it easier. I used to just run and keep telling myself to push further over and over when I wanted to stop. That made me burn out quicker. I use it 5 days a week. I do a new run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and Tuesdays and Thursdays I repeat the run from the day before. I feel good and I'm losing the last few pounds from being pregnant. I have zero complaints about this app. I just plug in my headphones, turn on some music and do what my little run trainer lady tells me!

It works!. I’ve gone from absolutely nothing to running a 5K (albeit not quickly) in 7 weeks. Consistency is the key. I’ve tried multiple times in the past to try and get back into running shape, but my weight and overall poor physical health always resulted in me getting injured before I could make meaningful progress. This program eases you into it, adjusts according to your feedback and performance, and motivates you along the way. Make sure to run no more than 3 days a week, get some low impact workouts in between (walks, gentle bike rides, etc) and STRETCH immediately following every run and you’ll be reaching your fitness goals in no time.

Turned me into a runner. At 45 years old, I had previously never been a runner. In fact, I basically hated it. Every time I tried running, I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t ever catch my breath and I just assumed I wasn’t meant to be a runner. One day it occurred to me that when I did try to run, I never had any sort of plan so I decided to find an app with a training plan and I came across 10Krunner. In mid July 2021 I started the program but I couldn’t run for more than one minute without stopping to catch my breath. But I started running daily (5-6 days per week) and just did my best to do the daily plan as suggested in the app. My stamina quickly began to build. Today, Sep 3, 2021, I ran for 5 miles, 1:06 (an hour and 6 minutes) without stopping to catch my breath. I’ve since recommended the app to several people who have also raves about it. Side effect - I’m down 18 lbs also! This app is literally changing my life.

Ok coach, but flaws. I enjoy the guided coaching but there are some things this app is missing. A couple things are pretty frustrating like during the warm-up time you are told to walk but at the end of the workout the time spent in warm up is not inspired in total time so it looks like you ran a much faster pace than you really did (when viewed in Apple health.) The app does not consistently track your heart rate so if you like to view your heart rate map during your work out there will not be one. The app also does not GPS track your run so you cannot see it on a map. I enjoy training with the app but tend to run more often with the Apple exercises because I enjoy those features.

The non-runner’s salvation. It’s not overkill to say that this app (and 5K runner) totally changed my life. My whole life I told myself that I wasn’t a runner or a good athlete. In the past I’ve made many attempts to change this story and have set many goals that I would fail. Creating the discipline to be a runner is difficult. You constantly need to push yourself more and more in order to improve and that’s honestly so hard to do when you’ve never really done it before. This app is incredible for that. The way it paces you is absolutely amazing. You start slow and gradually build up. It takes you to your edge and makes you go just a little more. Four months ago I couldn’t even run a quarter mile. Today I just ran five miles and I’ve never felt more fit. Make it happen! This app is a game changer.

Download this app!! 💪🏼. Before I got this app I couldn't run longer than about 1 minute without getting a side stitch and being completely out of breath. I would consider myself a fit person (lifting weights going to gym) but I just thought I wasn't born to be a runner. I decided one day that I wanted to start trying to run though, with a goal of a 30 min jog in the mornings. This goal seemed like it would take months and months to achieve so I was looking for some guidance when I came across this app. The best decision I've ever made for my health was downloading this! I went ahead about bought the couch to 10K because it saves a little bit of money as opposed to buying the programs separately. I am on week 12 now and I haven't missed a beat! I never thought this was possible and not only has this app helped my body to get into better shape but also my mind! It's an amazing feeling when you can achieve what you think is simply impossible. THANK YOU FITNESS 22 you really have changed my life 💪🏼

Changing my life. I used the 5K to run my first 5K to benefit melanoma at my teams celebration this year. We were celebrating my 20 years of fighting (officially in August), my teams 5 year anniversary and my award I was receiving. It was very important that I finished my first 5K and did it this year. With the help of the 5K app I crossed the finish line in less then an hour. The only think I would prefer is mileage expectations as well as time expectations on the app. I didn't always feel like even though I was running the expected time I wasn't getting the mileage that was expected (aka I was running slower then the app anticipated) but it did its job and I was able to cross the finish line. I am now using the 10K version to push further so my next 5K is easier (I hope). With the help of these apps I will now actually go out and exercise instead of sitting on the couch. I highly recommend them and honestly if I can do it anyone can.

Sorcery. For my recent milestone birthday I vowed to get in shape. Between quarantine comfort cooking and a sedentary job, I was 40lbs overweight and would get out of breath going up a few steps. I started by walking then walking/jogging on my own but I hit a point where I just wasn’t progressing. So I got this app and it’s amazing. I’m now able to jog for five minutes straight and feel like I could keep going. That’s literally the longest I’ve jogged in my life. So many morning I’ve looked at what the app has scheduled for me and been certain I couldn’t do it. And almost every time I’ve made it without pushing dangerously hard. I don’t know what sorcery they’re using but I love it and feel so accomplished. Accomplished and healthier! This isn’t for the absolute beginner - I couldn’t have started this when walking fifteen minutes was challenging. But if you can walk 30 minutes with some brief jogging in there then this program will get you to 10K.

Definitely Works. I’ve had this program for many years, I’m now in my 60’s and it still works for me. My fitness tends to fall off over the Winter, when snow and ice make it unpleasant/dangerous to run outside. This App has helped me get back into shape and build my fitness each Spring. The progress through the Aop is gradual and if you find any of the progressions tough you can always repeat that step, or tell the App it was hard or easy and they’ll modify the next training for you. Definitely the best way to get into running or back in shape even if you don’t intend to do a 5K or 10K race.

Great for ALL levels | Minor Improvement Needed. In the wake of the recent pandemic, I decided to take up running. I had been consistently working out, and treadmill runs were a part of my routine, but only for short intervals focused mostly on inclines, speed or small distances. I knew becoming a true runner would require a different type of approach so I downloaded the app. The app does a great job of being applicable to both people who have never run at all and people who have some sort of routine. That is to say, this app is truly for everyone! After a quick assessment the app was able to determine at which week in the program I should begin and it was right on point. My only complaint is that in order for the prompts to be heard by the runner the app requires that your phone not be on vibrate or silent. This is very distracting as throughout your run your music is constantly being interrupted by alerts from other apps. Sometimes those alerts even cancel prompts from the app as well leaving you to run longer than you should or missing your queue to run again. I tried putting my phone on sleep mode, but that too silences the app prompts. If you guys could address this the app would be perfection!

Not What I Expected.. I’m new to running. I ran several 5Ks before getting this app. My goal was to train for a 10K and improve my pace. My pace was not great when I started and it has not improved very much over the course of the program. I now have one more run with the app before it will award me with the coveted 10K Pro Runner Badge. Yeah!!! The problem is that the app is scheduling the last run for 60 minutes. At my current pace, it will take me 75-80 minutes to complete a full 10K. I don’t understand how or why I’m being presented with a meaningless badge. Voice cues. The app’s snarky Valley Girl comments and cues never change. The exact same comments at the same points for every run. Boring. The comments provide no guidance and offer very limited encouragement. No insight no motivation to make improvements. I run streaming music from my phone to my AirPods. If I start the app from my watch, the chimes and voice cues do not get transmitted to the AirPods. They use the watch speaker. So the watch app is a convenient way to start, pause and complete a run, it doesn’t check all of the boxes.

Life changer. Seriously. Need an app that combines motivation with that affirmation that you're on the right track?? No matter where you're starting (300 lbs with weak knees or otherwise) this app is for you. Clean interface with other music apps, it's my go to when I need some serious motivation without having to plan my exercise. It does the work for me! Would love an option to post to Instagram in addition to the already available Facebook and Twitter. Also an auto advance to the next day's workout would be nice. Can't tell you how many times I've done two identical workout days in a row by accident. Pretty please??

Motivation setting fixed?. Rated this app lower last time due to an annoying bug on the watch app, but haven’t experienced the issue for a while. Considerably less annoying to use now that the random motivations aren’t interrupting my music. The app guides me through the run walk intervals workout without overly intrusive prompts. I had to stop around week 10 after getting COVID. Looking forward to completing the app and reaching my running goals. Old review: Motivation prompts continue, despite setting being turned off. Heart rate not tracked either. Please add this feature, if possible.

The only app that actually deserves a review.. I joined the Marine Corps at 17 years old. I thought running even 2 miles was a lot. I got out, stopped running, and then I would be out of breath just running not even for 2 minutes. I got this app decided to actually give it a chance and pay for it. So now I’m stuck. Now I HAVE to actually get my moneys worth haha. As I kept going, I just kept surprising myself at how much I can actually run. It just kept getting better and better. I never thought I would be where I am right now. I am on the 2nd to last week of this program. And I have absolutely NO regrets. It’s worth the money. The only thing that I could think of that I would change for this app is to add average pace, heart rate, etc. Pretty much everything you can see on the Apple Watch exercise section. That would be great. Overall, I would definitely choose this app over any other running app.

This app may have saved my life. So, middle of covid quarantine, I reach my fattest ever, depression compounds, intrusive thoughts of hopelessness and despair are my every day. My therapist and I circle in on body issues being part of my mental struggle, and with the help of my extremely supportive partner, I download this app and start doing the workouts. One increment at a time. The dopamine shot my brain got every time I completed an interval kept me going, for months. And now, I’ve run 2 10k’s in 3 days. Never in my life have I been able to do that. I have a healthy addiction to running now, and will be moving on to the half marathon trainer next. Thank you, app devs. You really changed my life.

Wowwwwww! Get this app!!. I have always enjoyed the thought of running as a consistent way to exercise, but I am one of those people who likes to see quick results. I’d always push too hard when trying to run, think I couldn’t do it, and quit after a few days. If you are like me, this app is 100% for you! This app paces you sooooooo well!!! I told myself that I would stick to every single workout for what it said. Nothing less; nothing more. Even if the early workouts were too easy, I followed what the app said. I did not want to burn out. Now I am 1 week away from finishing all 42 workouts, and I feel so ready for my (virtual) 10K race in one month. You can become a runner!!! You can do it!!! Just pace yourself and give yourself grace. At least you’re out there and getting healthy!

Great App!. I’ve enjoyed using the 5k app, and now the 10K app. I fully intend on also using the half marathon trainer when it’s time! I like having the vocal coach, and being able to see what the run plan is for the day. I only gave it 4 stars though for a few things: - it doesn’t track your pace, which seems weird as it tracks your time and GPS, so I feel like that would be an easy add. - if you need to adjust the time for whatever reason, it will reset THE WHOLE TIME. For example, if I get stopped on my run, I can’t reset the clock back by a few minutes, it will reset the entire run. So I may be 35 mins into a 40 minute run, and instead of letting me backtrack by 5 mins, it will back track the entire 40 mins.

Was OK… but now it isn’t. If you read the reviews, you see everyone loves IT. But, that was 6 years ago and it is STILL the same app… except for the price. What was once a few $$ has increased their price for the app 275% in 6 months with no end in sight. Yep, you read that right. 10K runner has drunk the greed wine. Do yourself a favor and check out one of the other amazing (and free) running apps. Including: Nike Run Club (this app has all the features and seems to be interesting in keeping the technology updated…) Runna (Described as your personal running coach, if you are serious about your running and want to increase your speed and endurance, this is the best running app one the market.) Garmin Connect (If you have one of these watches, try the app. It is loaded with lots of great stuff, including plans and the ability to drill down into the data of your run… gathered through your watch… Imagine that 10K Runner, an app that actually works with your watch instead of being just a glorified TIMER for $20 every three months or a $40 purchase.) Lots of options to choose NOT to reward an app developer for their outright sucky greed and business “decisions”. Take your overhyped MBA and put it in your old stinky running shoes. You made a bad decision.

Love this app!. I’m not totally brand new to running - I enjoy it for my mental health and me time :) however, anytime I would get back into it in the past, I felt like I never really had any direction or plan and I would just randomly go out and run. I did a 10K, and did terribly because I wasn’t prepared enough and it truly wasn’t even enjoyable. Fast forward to me getting this app, I love it! I’m on week 4 now. It’s just challenging enough that I can feel myself getting more stamina, but not so challenging that I feel like I need to repeat a week. I signed up for a 10K at the end of May and I have high hopes! It’s so nice to have a simple, user friendly app with verbal cues! Also like that you can easily access your own music within the app.

Yes it works great, HOWEVER.... This app can get you past what you thought were your limitations. Almost every time I think “there’s no way I can get through the next challenge” but then I try and succeed. However! For someone who is really out of shape as I was, running for 1 minute straight is impossible, and that’s step 1 of this plan. So you have to prepare yourself before you start. Do intervals of 30 seconds running and 2 minutes walking. Start at 15 seconds if you have to. When you build up to running 1 minute straight, you’re ready to go with the app. And don’t be afraid to repeat steps. Week 4 was really tough for me, and I had to step back and repeat two sessions. Now I allow myself to repeat sessions to build up endurance if I don’t feel like I had a strong run. Other details: works with my music app to play what I want, tracks distance with gps mapping, voice prompts can be reduced if they annoy you or switch gender, tells you when you hit the halfway point, shows you how long you have left until the next walk or run section. You can try it out for free to see if you like it. Overall, there is no way I would have been able to train at this level by myself without leaning on this app.

Great App! Does exactly what it was designed to do!. I love this App. Its purpose is to take a beginner with little to no running experience from the couch to a 10K, and it does that beautifully. The design is simple. It's easy to use, very intuitive. You can listen to your own music while using the app. The Apple Watch feature didn't work well, but to be honest I haven't used it on my watch for quite a while. I started with the 5k app last year using it out doors. And the app kept me motivated to reach my goal! Running outdoors in the winter/spring is hit or miss in Colorado. So in addition to maintenance runs, I decided to use the 10K app on my treadmill to keep me motivated and improving. I started at week one on the app but I increase the base incline each week and increase the incline at each run interval. This keeps it challenging and staves off boredom. Hopefully I'll be running a full 10K at an incline of 9 or 10 in time for the B2B. So far, I'm motivated and making steady progress toward the goal! Exactly as it should be!

Glitches. The app in principle is great, but most of my runs there is a glitch where after the first or second walk sequence, the app does not alert you to run. I will look down and see that I was already supposed to have started the running segment but neither the chimes, nor the vocal instructions came on. I’ve been using the app for 4 weeks and it happens on three out of four runs. Given that the whole purpose is to tell you when to run and when to walk this is frustrating. It means I can’t put my phone in my running belt because I have to keep checking if it’s time to run yet. It only glitches once per workout, so once it happens once, I know I’m in the clear.

Great program, easy to use. I always used to say I’d never be a runner. I decided to give it a try for the health benefits- mental and physical. Running has helped my mental health in a way that cardio or yoga workouts never have. Before this, I’d say I was a moderately active person. I’m usually on my feet and busy as a SAHM. But I definitely wasn’t in shape. It was hard to stay motivated in the beginning and it felt really hard. But the incremental training is so well put together. Right now, I’m at the 5K level. I feel so proud of myself after every run. App does exactly what I need it to do and is simple to use.

Simply Amazing. I’ve never been in terrible shape but I never did run and, when I did, was never good at it. I picked this app up to help me train for sprint triathlons (5k distances). I figured, if I could do a 10K, I’d have no problem doing a 5k. I’m not done with the program yet, but I am up to running a total of 50 min with breaks every 10 min. I’m already at the 10K distance and my run pace is 9.3 min/mi. I will exceed the 10K distance by the time I’m done with the program. I know this is a run program but I’m also using it to increase my speed on my bike. I pick a speed that I’d like to aim for and when it says “run” I go that chosen speed. This is working as well too so I’m very happy. The only con to this program is it measures everything based on time and not your distance and speed. This is easily fixed by having a sport watch. This app gives me the times to shoot for and my watch does the rest. I can’t wait to finish the program so I can buy the half marathon app. I can’t recommend this app enough. Chuck Louisiana

Unreal. (27M) I love this app. I used to try running and would get shin splints, knee pains, and tight calves, most likely increased too much too fast and this app creates the perfect running, walking, and distance, intervals for you. I haven't had any issues since I started this and I actually enjoy running now. I decided to sign up for a marathon and I will be using their programs to exceed my running goals. It has a great structure, and an algorithm that adjusts the difficulty of the next workout based off your ‘workout of the day’ rating. Ive never left a review for an app before but I really enjoy 10K runner. Level up!

Excellent app, minor improvements. I have used this app a few times over the last several years. It works! Point blank, end of sentence. I just recently started using it again and was extremely pleased to find there is now a stand-alone Apple Watch app! After using the Apple Watch app a few times, I’m very happy. However, I do wish there were a few extra features. Firstly, I wish the Watch app tracked heart rate and would transfer that data to the Activity app. Secondly, I wish it would save a map of my run and transfer that data back to the phone so that I could have an overview of my route on a map. These two features would get these app a full 5 star rating. Still though, I’m very pleased and will continue to use this app to meet my running goals. 🏃🏻‍♂️💨

Great for a fresh start. As someone who has tried a lot of running programs and given up on most of them, I’m proud to say I’ve reached the 5km mark in the 10K runner app. As a slow runner I’ve enjoyed using the interval workouts to work on my speed. I did the 5km in 38 minutes, so had to add a few more minutes - perhaps workout 8/3 should be 5km without a time limit? Intervals are well paced and satisfying. Some more stats would be nice for those only using the app - I have used my Garmin watch to measure the intervals so I can be more aware of speeds and pace. Some more personalised encouragement would be nice too, such as “only 5 minutes to go!” Etc but I also like that the running experience with the app is simple and non invasive. Looking forward to continuing onto the 10km.

Wayne H. As an older runner I find this app excellent and the plan well developed to assist me back to my running best. Being patient and trusting the system , being vigilant and having personal discipline to do the runs as set by Couch To system is safe and there are less likely to be injuries caused by over zealous training . It’s a fantastic well designed system . Thank you .

A great program!. Very easy to follow and adjust to my schedule and ability. After taking several months off for a broken ankle I was able to go back and redo earlier runs as I built my strength and endurance back up.

Actually achievable. I’ve tried all the apps and programs, and this is the only one that I’ve been able to follow through with. Sets realistic and achievable targets.

No longer opening. Since the September update my app crashes on opening. I am still running IOS 9.3.5 which you say should be supported? Reinstalling did not fix the issue.

Probably the best app I ever downloaded. I absolutely loved the 10K runner app, I just finished it. When I first got it my goal was to do 7.5k, after completing the 5k runner app. I actually didn’t think I’d be able to do 10K, it sounded like a lot but day by day week by week it increases it in manageable intervals and before you know it you’ve done it, and way easier than you think. Now I absolutely love running and keep raising the bar, goal after goal - it’s such a great feeling. Great customer service team too! Highly recommend taking this fitness journey, I’m so glad I did.

Apple Watch part doesn’t work. There seems to be a bug with the Apple Watch part of the app, as it implies it will be available (and installs on my watch!) but then never leaves the “open on your iPhone to finish setting up watch app” page. Probably will delete it if I can’t fix this problem as I prefer to run without a phone, but otherwise a great running program.

So effective for getting back into exercise. I was so surprised by how well I stuck to this - a great balance of achievable and challenging. The app is simple with just enough prompts - worth the investment :)

So much love!!. I love that I don’t need to think about my run, I just get ready and go and let the app tell me what to do. 5 years post knee reco and I’m finding the return to running enjoyable as I achieve small milestones that seemed so scary only a couple of months ago

Really good. Love it. Only suggestion would be if it gave you a voice prompt at one minute, 30 seconds and 10 seconds remaining in a given running session. Perhaps a prompt halfway through a running session too.

Getting started running again!. This app is great to get you back into a routine with a combination of running and walking - not too off putting even if you’re not very fit or recovering from injury Isabelle

It delivered on its promise. I used the 5K Runner to get me into my first 5K race & did the same with the 10K Runner app helping me to finish my first 10K race 7 mins under the goal I had set myself. Yes, you have to put in the work & you have to be consistent, but it is perfectly measured to stretch you without overstretching you. Combined with some of their other apps, I’ve lost weight & got fit.

Need Apple Watch App. This app is great and is really helping me progress with my cardio training. It would be awesome if the app could run through the Apple Watch so you don’t have to take your phone running. Aside from this, the app works great and I recommend it to anyone looking to get moving.

Easy to Use. Has everything that I need to get me out and enjoy my run/walk whilst still keeping tabs on where I am and building more. I love the fact I can change weeks. If I fee I am not ready to move up I back the weeks up and start again.

Pushes you just enough. Doesn't push you so hard that you want to give, but instead builds up your time running so that you feel like you're heading in the right direction each time

Does not hand off to Apple Watch. Lots to like about this App except for not being simple to start your workout on the phone and have it handoff to my Apple Watch. 😢 Need to pull my phone out of my pocket to see where in the plan I’m up to which is frustrating.

I didn’t think I was capable of running until I used these apps. Now I can run 5k in under 30 mins and have moved on to the 10K version. It is great for syncing with your music library for added motivation. Love this app!

Decent app. Nice design and a gentler road to 5k than the official C25K (for example, this one has a 20min run in week 7 vs in week 5 in the official one). I’ve had slight problems with the chimes not playing, and sometimes it pauses my music for some reason. Also would love an Apple Watch version.

A glorified stopwatch with gps. I assumed that since it’s running on an iPhone and has access to the gps and gyros, it would use AI to adapt the program to fit each runner. Instead it just shows the same program to everyone. I’m not at the 10K mark yet but I’m not a couch potato either - the app still tells me to walk every few minutes instead of adapting to my level. I ignore those “walk” instructions and run as much as I can, but the app still shows this as a walk because that’s what it was expecting.

Have been using this year for over 5 years. Have been using this app for over 5 years. Easy to use and convenient. Very helpful to someone like me not keen on running.

Awesome simple app. This one is very easy to use, tracks your route, and can be used while also listening to your own music. Everything I wanted in a running app!

Great for all experiences. I was an absolute beginner looking forward to running more than in my entire life (albeit skeptically) and I truly went from ‘couch to 5k’. The pacing works perfect for me- but you can tweak it with feedback. Now I’m training for a half marathon and I can tell it will work from how well the previous training has gone. If you’re not a beginner you could always use the intervals to work on improving your speed. Works outdoors or on a treadmill.

Issues on iPhone X and iOS 11.2. Hi, I love this app and have been using it for quite some time. Now I have an iPhone X with 11.2. The app now hangs the phone and becomes unresponsive after waking from standby after a run. Eventually the phone recovers but the app is dead. You may want to look into this

My first day was challenging enough, not too hard, not easy, just right. Looking forward to day two.. Not hard for deadset beginners. If you follow the routine as it comes, not think that you are better and go too hard, you can reach your goal.

Encouraging app. An app that challengers you to run further each time without pushing you too far. It doesnt bombard you with daily notification and has an exciting prospect of giving you the ability to run 10km at the end of the program

Apple Watch option?. I love this app and the 5k one previous. I have completed it more than once. Now having an Apple Watch I would love to use this instead of having to carry my phone when I run. Is there any chance you could have this app available on both phone and watch such as others have done with fitness apps? Thank you and my fingers are crossed for an Apple Watch option.

Great App, needs improvement on notifications. Great app but the notifications don't seem to work when the phone is locked / sometimes randomly. Have been through online forums and that hasn’t helped. Also happens to a friend.

Functionality reduced with watch version. It’s a great app, but a shame that it won’t show a map from your run if you use the Apple Watch version. It’s much easier having it on my watch as can easily see how long is left in each section, but I don’t use it because it won’t show the map of where I’ve run at the end.

Perfect trainer/coach. I’m in my 50’s and I t’s been well over 20 years since I was running regularly. I’ve tried to get back into it many times but I’ve always either not progressed quickly enough and given up or pushed myself too hard and ended up with injuries. This app hits the sweet spot of keeping me motivated and seeing improvement on each run without overextending myself. I’m at week 10 now and finding the app awesome, I highly recommend it.

Excellent App!!. I was overweight and struggling to run to fridge for snacks, but this app made me want to say goodbye to the snacks completely. I didn't think I was fit enough to run, but it was really quite easy to get into it using this app. I love how it charts your course as well and tells you how far you’ve travelled and shows you your route. 10/10 would recommend!!

30 Second Warning. As someone that has NEVER been a runner, this is a great app, halfway through and already feeling the improvement. One gripe I have that would make it 5 starts, is it needs a 30 second warning before all intervals, giving you time to warm into runs or push yourself before the next walk.

Mostly good. Watch app needs refinement.. Good simple app to use. Overall like the app but couple of issues with the watch app which is probably the better one to use so you don’t lump your phone around while running. Pros: simple and easy to use. Voice over doesn’t speak often so can just listen to music without many interruptions. Cons: - doesn’t count for active calories on watch. Just says total calories which is incorrect. -measure your heart rate maybe 4-5 times in the run so therefore your heart rate average is stupid low. -no gos map to show where you have ran.

Motivational and encouraging. I’m not a runner but I found this app really helpful to get me started. The words of encouragement are good and seem to come just at the right time when you feel like giving up!

Fantastic!!!!!. This app is PERFECT for experienced runners or those that have never run before. The step up each week is just enough to push you but not too much that it's impossible to achieve. Definitely recommended!!

Running inspired. I’ve tried many Apps to get me up and moving, none have succeeded. This is the only one that has achieved the right balance in usability and inspiration. Well done to the developers!!!

Encouraging app that has improved my fitness. I have found this app has helped me to improve my cardio fitness. It encourages you without being too over the top. It's easy to use and I certainly have been getting results.

Simple. Well I just wanted to say what a pleasant experience... I found I could just run abs not be checking my time every moment... first time back after 12 months and I think I’ve got this -thank you

My Favourite Run App. I have tried many run apps both paid and free. I have to admit that I found 10K Run app the one that I have enjoyed the most. The app itself is simple to use, is well designed and provides just the enough guidance when you are running. I liked the feature where if a run was hard and give this feedback at the end of the run the app adjusts the run plan. This feature helped when especially when I hit a mental block and I couldn’t finish a particular run. I have recommend this app to my brother as well and he is going to start his run with this from tomorrow 10/4. Try it out and I hopefully you all enjoy the benefits of running with the 10K Run app. Sandeep Nambiar Melbourne Australia April 2023.

Couch Potato to Runner. As someone who only used to be able to sprint for 10 seconds before having a pseudo-asthma attack, this app has been life changing. I am halfway through the program which is something that was once hard to believe! The app does a great job of balancing progress and rest as you go along.

Amazing app. I'm actually a pretty experienced runner so the first few weeks were really easy for me but this app lets you skip days, win awards and it encourages you as you run. I don't know if it would get you all the way to ten k but it would really help you improve your running ability. Definitely give it a try!

A good program. There is no question that it works. I used it when I was training 3 years ago. Just started back at W1D1 to regain my fitness. Last time it was free. That said I just payed the life time fee as I have no question it’s worth it. Enjoy.

Excellent but some minor flaws. This app helped me get from zero to 10K in just under 3 months. I’m a little over 50 years old and while I had the occasional difficult day, this app does help you get there if you are willing and capable of putting in the effort and commitment. Now for the minor nitpicks…firstly this is not actually set up to get EVERYONE to 10K. Basically it gets you to the point where you can run 60 minutes non stop, which is still quite an achievement but not the 10K they promise. On my final run I had to keep running for a short while until I actually got to the magical 10K. Also it might be helpful if the app provided some theory along the way as you build up your stamina as to why the times for each step change and optimise based on your ability and progress. Basically each session it just tells you the intervals you will be running that day and has the occasional token piece of encouragement. Also on rainy days if you opt to stay inside and use a treadmill, it doesn’t track your distance. I found I had to use my Apple Watch workout app in addition to the 10K app to get accurate data both outside and inside, especially if you want to track your splits or pace or heart rate. But when all is said and done, provided you put in the effort and are fit enough, this app can get you to running at least one hour non stop and depending on your running pace, 10 kilometres. I’m glad I did it.

Mel. Found this a very useful training app to get back into running and rebuild confidence. Gentle increases and/or consolidation in training runs made it achievable. The notifications don’t interrupt music you may be listening to - they just ‘talk over’ so sometimes I did miss the changes. Enjoyed the maps and basic stats of each run. Thank you 🏃🏼‍♀️🏆🙏🏼

Worth it!. Thank you for developing such a stable and well planned app. I have tried many running apps but this one is the best. It clearly sets out what to expect for your session with colour and descriptions. It has never crashed and can be used at the same time as other tracking apps, I’ve used two tracking apps at the same time as this one while music is playing and it didn’t crash! The only suggestion I can make is can you add lining to a fitness watch?

Only been using for a week. So my goal is to run 10kms... have done 2 sessions & it definately makes each one accomplishable. Love the half way notification & the motivational tips. All Works with my music..recommended app.

5K done!. I used the 5k runner app after having done zero (and I mean zero) exercise for more than a year. I followed the program and reached my goal of running a 5k over 8 weeks. Now I’m using the 10K app. I’ve tried Strava and Nike run but haven’t found them to be as motivating or easy to use.

So far so good!. I downloaded this app to help me get back into running after a knee injury. Only a couple of days in but I’m hopeful that it will help get me back to my previous fitness and ability.

App update!. It would be great if you got a half way and one minute left coaching separate to the current coaching offered in the settings. Otherwise I really like this running app. The way the run is shown on the overview is really great. The mix up with intervals further through the training is really fun.

LOVE IT - some extra time countdown alerts would be even better!. This is really working for me - some extra time countdown alerts would be better so I can race myself at the end or push a bit harder when I’m struggling knowing it’s just for another minute etc.

Feeling good!. I'm not at the end of this app yet, I'm almost at the halfway mark and will continue until the end. This is a great app. It doesn't push you too hard and it gives you the greatest sense of achievement every time you go on a jog. Are you a couch potato? If I can do it, you can do it. Download this app and start jogging. It feels amazing. Well, okay, my legs hurt the first few weeks (particularly sore ankles while jogging) haha but I think my legs have built up strength now and I'm much fitter. Highly recommended

Don’t like update. I liked this app because I had the option of having it track my run or just tell me what to do based on time. The update doesn’t allow for untracked running. As well the app says it may track you while the app is not in use. That’s a total unnecessary invasion of privacy.

Not flexible. This app would be fine if you are under 50 and in reasonable health to start. The progression is too fast and too long for those who run at a slower pace or need short intervals. No option to customize the intervals.

Postpartum Momma- Amazing. This is such a great app. I come from an athletic background and previous runner. With two littles workouts can be challenging- I love this app for the visuals of the intervals and that it continues with to progress workouts each workout. I am blown away. Thank you!

Best 10K training app for beginners!. This is the best training app I’ve ever used. And I’ve tried a number of them. The first time I’ve stuck to a program and I’m loving it. Enough motivational talking, but not too much. Integrates seamlessly with my music. Adaptable to my level just by providing feedback at the end of my run. Short updates on where I am in my run. I never do reviews of apps, but I couldn’t pass this up. I seriously love it!

The ONLY app I’ll pay for.. 100% worth it. I can repeat a work out until I’m ready to progress. It makes gaining progress manageable, measurable, and takes the planning out of my hands. I just run when it tells me, and over time I get better. I can play MY music in the background, and still not miss the app’s cues. Let’s me know distance and estimated calories burned. I totally recommend this app to my friends.

Exceptional, Except for one thing. I jumped on to this after the C25K app and I love it. It’s really easy to see progress and the app adjusts the workouts based on difficulty. The only thing I’d want is Spotify integration. Please include this!!

Don’t be afraid to start running!. Couldn’t recommend this app more! Worked my way back from a bad knee and this app was a huge part of getting back on track with my running. It’s program was effective at gauging effort levels to optimize your future runs. Went from 1-2km needing to stop to completing a 52 minute 10K. Download this app!

Expected better for the price. I like the program but the Apple Watch version is very buggy. Sometimes it can see the route I ran, sometimes not. Sometimes it says I had a heart rate, sometimes not. On today’s run it said my average heart rate was 58bpm! I used to be a frequent half marathoner so understand pace etc. But this app includes the distance of the warm up and cool down in the pace calculation but only the actual workout portion in terms of time. So it tells my Apple Health that I went at some lightening speed that I could never have done! Not worth the purchase price.

Good. Good

Great app. I basically would not have run as far and consistently as I have with out this app

Great outside on watch, poor indoors. Glitches out and doesn’t record correct information when used on Apple watch on a treadmill. I had to uninstall from the watch. I’m hoping it can work from phone alone while the watch records accurate info, but I’m not sure it will be effective

Glitchy. App would occasionally open, but wouldn’t start the run program. Ended up deleting

Would give 6 stars. This is a great app. It was recommended to me by a friend, and I too will recommend it and already have. Well done, user friendly... and, most important: it will get you to run and progress at your own rythm! 6 stars!

Charged when selected trial. Got charged right away when I clicked free 7 day trial.

A motivating voice to help me get moving. Very simple and easy to use.

Definitely worth it. I was a slug and probably couldn’t run to save my life. I’m actually waking up early looking forward to this! It’s easy to use and the prompts make it easy to listen to your favourite music. I downloaded it because it works with Spotify. There is a free trial and you have to pay so don’t bother with the 5k app; go for the gold and download the 10K!! You got this! You’re already on your way!

Wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars!. Love this app! I had little to no running experience and by the time I reached the last week of this app I had a 5k and a 10k race under my belt!

Great app. If you want an app that tells you what to do and helps you reach your goal without you having to figure it out yourself this app does all the heavy lifting. I tried following run schedules online but it’s always too easy to cheat or not follow. This app tells you when to run when to walk and adjusts your schedule based on how you felt afterwards. It’s great!!

Overcharged. I was charged for a lifetime subscription and then later that day I was charged for a quarterly subscription. Contacted fitness 22 a week ago and still haven’t heard back. Horrible customer service. Of course Apple is no help

Keeps me moving in the right direction. This has been my companion app for the last three years.

Just meh. The training plans have potential and are paced well for meeting your goals. But the app will cut out during some intervals if it’s only on in the background. For example if you’re watching something while running on the treadmill, it’ll cue the first few intervals and then just not do anything so you don’t know when to stop or start. You actually have to stop and open the app and by then its out of sync to where you’re at. It’s annoying. I’d expect better for something you have to pay for 3months worth

No interval vibration. I am extremely disappointed in this App! I was really excited to use it (had been meaning to for some time) with my Apple Watch using the interval feature that feeds your runs to Apple Health BUT there is NO VIBRATIONS function to indicate when the run or walk interval is over. Using this while running on your watch is beyond irritating…it is infuriating. I hate it when tech does not do what it is supposed to do! Even with my watch volume cranked, I need to continually look at the watch face. I have contacted support numerous times and no one replies. I had expected much more!

Lifetime membership. Great app to get you into running however I have now signed up for the lifetime access twice and still end up paying monthly.

Love this app!!!. Getting back to running after 5yrs, didn’t think I’d ever be able to get back to my old strength but this all is amazing, optimization to my ability and grows with me!! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love it!. I have been running on and off for the last 5 years and this app is great for motivation and for knowing how to progress.

It freezes. The app has stopped working

Love these apps!. Did the coach to 5k and have progressed to the 10k. The slow but steady increase to the running times and distances keep you feeling motivated. Highly recommend! Update; had got back to regular 5k so using this to challenge myself up again. It’s still great!

Total scam. Not free and in fact, they will charge you twice if you used the 5K app then not respond to your messages for a refund.

Love this app. I hate running. It's hard. But I love how I feel afterwards. This app motivates me to keep going when I don't want to. It also takes the guesswork out of training, to build instance. If your new to running I highly recommend it.

Great for the non-runner!. I love that I can fall off the wagon, and then restart or resume again whenever I’m able to. Great app, and probably the only reason I keep coming back to running to improve cardio and fitness.

I’m dying in a good way. Just finished my first run and am loving it so much I did the funkiest route and it told me exactly how long I ran and it’s customized exactly to my needs and FREE like what this is so good

Good app but needs updates. I am new to this app, it works ok but it needs some improvements. The interface could be better, right now the background is fixed and can not be changed. The voices are very artificial, both male and female sounds bad.

10k. Love this app! Provides just the right amount of encouragement and instruction. Works great with Spotify and Audible so you can listen to music, podcasts or books on your run. Well worth the purchase.

Ok at best. Watch and phone run separately. Phone doesn’t show watch runs. No customization next to no coaching. Lifetime membership was a waste of money

Kinda Lame. Canned compliments you can’t switch off.. Just like TV shows from the 90’s with. canned laughter soundtracks overdubbed onto the scripts, this app presumes its paying users are stupid or insecure, or both. Every new session begins with a canned “Hey There Awesome Runner” blurb and other insincere drivel. Unfortunately, even with all the “coaching” and “notifications” selected to OFF the app still blathers on. It’s cringeworthy. Some of us who purchased the app might actually just want to hear it tell us what activity to do next. Run. Walk. etc. Spare us the canned insincere compliments. I didn’t buy this app to listed to recorded compliments. I bought this app to provide a running routine program.

Love this app. Highly motivating. Love this app so motivating I finally feel like I can complete a 10K

Excellent app. I love the update to this app that includes after the run gauging the difficulty. I started with couch to 5k and would give this app 6 stars if I could. Lifelong fan!

Great for getting me started from scratch. I enjoy this app - I have never considered myself a runner but wanted to do it. So far the graduated run sessions are great - I’m six weeks in and each session so far has been just enough to make me workout hard, but actually achieve something tangible.

Good app (sorta) but it’s click bait.. I have used the 5K app with success. I got the 10 K app thinking that it would help me get to 10 K, but instead it’s just a 5K app and then they bait and switch and try to get you to buy the last half of the app for $50. Bait and switch is a rip off!

Good Choice. Day 1 - good start I tried the Nike app first and it was a disappointment. Looking forward to my next run!

Apple watch. Put it on apple watch!!

Easy to use. I’ve never run 5K but this is an excellent way to build up. I’ve stopped part way and picked it back up. Not very constant, but an excellent way to get started

Just Starting. I really like the guidance within the app. Its encouraging and I like the tips it provides while you run. Helps me out!

Great app for learning how to run!. Great app for learning how to run!

My favourite app. This is the only app that motivates me to workout. I’ve had it for 4 years now and no matter how many times I stop halfway (because life gets busy), I always come back. The gradual runs are so helpful and encouraging. I couldn’t ever imagine enjoying running without this app!

Had to delete it and lost my progress. It was going well and I really liked it, I actually started a couple weeks late and joined my friend but when I got to the 5k badge (week 8) all of the following weeks disappeared and the only runs I could access were previous runs. The app was saying I was at the finish line and did my 10K when in reality I’d only done half. I emailed them screenshots and they said to just delete the app. WARNING: all the data is saved in the app so all your progress will be lost

Such a great start for beginners!. Easy to follow runs and a great pace for beginners

Excellent!. On my Apple Watch and iPhone, I was able to use them both. Well done, easy and good coaching!

Love love love. I haven’t been a runner since I was probably 16 and this app has brought it back. I’m now 25 and made my way out of minor sports and felt lost as to how I workout as I’d always done so through sports and team training. I was definitely a beginner and this app customized to my level and gave me 14 weeks. It’s challenging but guided and goal orientated it feels so good to reach goals and get back into it. I’m now running 40 minutes straight and 5km. If you’re even a little bit on the fence about it, this is your sign to go for it

No Spotify. Doesn’t link up to Spotify only Apple Music BOO:(

I was the couch!. Listen here people, this app is no joke. If you are committed to following its schedule then you will not be disappointed. Let me tell you what it has done for me so far, for starters know that I am not a runner, I've never been a runner. Sure in high school I chased boys but that's not the kind of running that one needs. With the help of some YouTubes from Matt Cama, How To Run Properly For Beginners - 5 running secrets. I was able to learn the proper running techniques. This app has a great pace that you follow. Keep in mind that I have been running on my treadmill since I started. I just finished week 6 where I ran for 15 whole minutes!! Do you hear me 15 minutes!!! I feel great! Week 7 i will be running 20 mins straight. One bit of advice, at first my knees felt a little tight, I listened to my body in those instances & rest the day that I was supposed to run. My goal is to not get injured. This app is the absolute best thing since the creation of Mojitos😁👌🏽👍🏽

Can’t run ? No problem. I love this app. I love how slowly it increases the minutes to run. You don’t feel discouraged at all. When I started I could barley last 1 minute running but I never felt like I couldn’t complete the day. It’ll be challenging of course because running is never that easy. Mind over Matter when it comes to running! I love how if you stop running for months you can come back and start at week 1.

Life- changing!!. I began the app thanksgiving day 2013 at age 57. Ran my first 10k official race at the end of March and placed in the top half of my age group. An unforgettable, exhilarating experience capped off by my family running into my arms at the finish. Continued with 10k forever since. App was gradual enough to prevent any injuries and keeps you motivated. Now my husband is training for his first 5k!! Just wanted to let you know I have started over on the new version after a hip injury unrelated to running. The new version is just as motivating and I feel on my way to success again!!

Great app, bad watch integration. Love the training pace, the VO is helpful but not annoying, and I can listen to music in the background. But the data tracking isn't great. Today I took a run "at record speed" but it turns out it somehow recorded my total distance but not each interval and it threw off the miles per minute. Also the watch integration is poor. Starting a workout on your phone somehow does not show up on the watch. Overall, happy with this app and would def recommend. But it could be slicker.

Works for anyone!. When I downloaded this app, I definitely qualified for the “couch” part of “couch to 10K”. Following the program, even with a few inconsistencies between, I just reached by 5k runner badge and ran about 4 miles in the 35 minute run/10 minute walk. One thing I did wish that this program would include is a specific breakdown of distance for running vs. walking so you would know how far you went during just the running period so you could figure out an average pace. Besides that, I love this app and would highly recommend!

Thankful for this app. My wife and I decided to use this app as a way to connect as well as to set a goal for us to achieve together. We are about 3/4 of the way through and my wife specifically has said that she has been able to push herself farther than she ever knew she could because of this app. It has been so good for both our relationship and our health! I would highly suggest spending the few dollars, and following the path!

Really want to love this app. I’ve used other Fitness22 apps to get moving— started with Couch 25k Pro last year after Christmas, and then moved on to their 5k Pacer app, and have enjoyed both. Decided I’m ready to up my distance game, so of course I downloaded 10k Runner. Why wouldn’t I? Well, lots of reasons... I’m really frustrated that this app does not consistently and correctly share info back to my Activity and/or Health apps. Additionally, the app will often freeze or crash at the end of a run, leaving me with no metrics for my workout! Further, it doesn’t correctly communicate time remaining to its partner app on my AppleWatch. I just don’t trust this app for anything more than telling me when to start or stop running, which is a shame: it could be so much more!

USELESS. If you want to listen to music during your run and have an Apple Watch, this app is USELESS. I just finished the first week with this app and cannot get both audio cues and cues to my watch to work at all. Contacted Fitness22 "support" and they told me to turn off notifications and mirror alerts on my watch to be able to get audio cues. This effectively makes the watch useless with this app. I did this and audio cues STILL don't work. There is no way to know when to run and when to walk or when you have reached the halfway point to turn around. On my run today, I had to carry my phone while I was running and constantly look at the screen for notifications to know what to do. USELESS, USELESS!!!!!!

I JUST paid for this and it doesn’t recognize that I’ve paid for premium!. I just got and paid for this app 3 weeks ago. Love it! Been doing it and following it to the letter. Yet yesterday, went for a run and it doesn’t recognize that I’ve paid for the 3 month subscription. Tried to restore it. Even tried to upgrade again and it says I already have an active membership! What gives? I noticed an update yesterday, it clearly isn’t working. I’m going to be ready for a run tomorrow and will download another app in T-minus 1 day and abandon this one if it doesn’t get fixed. So close to having an advocate.

No customer support, inaccurate logging: waste of money. I used and paid for the 5k version back in June and loved it. It was worth it because I could see my progress on all Fitness 22 programs in one place, it was super motivating! It helped me get back to running and made it easy to manage and track my progress. I successfully accomplished running a 5k and dropped a significant amount of weight. However, I started on the 10K app and then they updated both 5k and 10K apps. ALL of my new progress was erased and all of my past progress was changed, some runs were outright deleted. I have screen shots of my previous running log and the difference is insane. I loved these apps but am switching to a different app with actual customer support and accurate logging. Do not buy this app.

Be honest in the eval! Really helps…. I started this app a year ago and was getting better results than I ever had. I got sick and now I feel as if I’m starting all over. But I knew that I could and can do it with this app. First day back and it was a little challenging… but just enough not to kill me but let me know that I ‘did’ work out and did enough to let me know I have it in me to get back to where I was and then some (and that I lost a lot of ground in my down time)!

Love all the running stuff- don’t love music. I really love this app! I’ve never ever liked running. But I always have wanted to. I’m 34 and while I’m fit-ish from genetics, I haven’t worked out in a decade and I’ve been smoking a pack a day for longer. I’ve tried other apps but either push to hard and hurt to I stop, or they are boring. This app is perfect. I do a tiny self adjust where I might run 10-20 seconds longer if it feels way to easy. But half way through the run I’m Im sync. I use Google Music and unfortunately I can’t sync that the way Apple Music does (I have an iPhone if that makes a difference). But it still works, just not as seamlessly. It’s absolutely worth it!

Really, Really Good. This is a fantastic tool for changing your life! Like other tools, it only works if you use it. On Day 1, you might feel like you're going to collapse while running for a minute, but you will be amazed that week 4 may find you wanting the walk periods to hurry up and be over so you can run again. Tip: If your ringer is off you will get a pop-up message reminding you to turn it on so you can hear the coach in the app--don't choose the "don't show this message again" option, this reminder is VERY useful. Win the Day!

So helpful. At almost 46 I had almost stopped running. This made getting back into running a process I could handle. Never easy but felt possible! Still wish it could do actual measurements while on a treadmill-seriously it gets cold out, but the timer still excellent. I really appreciate being able to do an interval again if I want to go a little farther and it keeps track of the mileage despite me redoing the interval.

Very basic. This app is too simple for the price. The plan seems ok but it does not factor in, keep track of, or tell you your pace. Consequently, it congratulated me for doing 3k when I only went 2 and a half miles between the walking and jogging. I saw an app that costs a third of the price that does tell you your pace. This one is basically a relatively fixed plan with a timer. It seems to repeat a session if you say it’s too hard or skips the next one if you say it’s too easy. Also it doesn’t talk much while you are running, so you don’t know how much time you have left unless you pull out your phone. And if you have to stop in the middle of a session, it doesn’t save your progress. Basically, the app needs to provide more information and more options.

Love incremental, injury reducing approach of app. Love this app. Had not run in years, and wanted gradual (injury-free) start to running again. I listen to music while running. If you have location services on while running, the app maps your run. This feature only works for the duration of the selected workout, which is fine. I just finished Week 8 of this 14 week program, and like it enough that I just bought their 1/2 marathon trainer app and their pace training app for once I finish this one. Update: I’ve now done 6 1/2 marathons. Just bought their Marathon app :-)

APP Stats are BOGUS. I am giving two stars bc I think a running app should be able to deliver one basic running stat accurately: your pace. And buyer beware, this is not that app. I read all the great reviews and made my decision which to use among a ton of choices, based on the high reviews. It wasn’t until after my first “run” and I looked at the “stats” that I discovered this app was so far off base with the min/mile it was unacceptable! And I was so shocked that this isn’t a thing anyone mentioned in reviews! Wth - who does not care about their pace?! So to fix the issue (in a way) I ended up using my Apple Watch run app simultaneously to keep accurate stats. I have to completely ignore this app’s stats. I hope they fix this eventually.

Decent. On the plus side. Very good app to start you out slow, but gradually increase. Ice tried running before, but get burned out early without noticing improvement. Very minor negatives but it would be nice to only have the location working when you're using the app. It's either on or off right now. The half way point notification doesn't always work. I run out and back and would be nice to know when to turn around. Also the full app isn't free, but it's nice to get to try it out before buying. Overall, very nice and helpful.

Worth it. I purchased this app about a year ago. It has been most helpful in helping me learn to run longer periods of time. I like the pacing of the runs. It adds a bit more time almost every run so your body can gradually get used to running more and more. While using this app my pace has also improved from 11 minutes a mile to 10 minutes a mile. There were a few occasions where I tapped the button to end the workout unintentionally. Which was sad for me because I didn’t have a record of that run and my pacing.

Love! Great for Any Level. This app is wonderful! I’m not very active but I wanted to be for my kids. It helped me get up and out after Baby 1 and 2. My goal at that time was just getting up and moving. After Baby 3 it helped me reached my goal of running a 5K. Now after taking a very stressful job and having bunion surgery it’s helping yet again get me up and out every morning. Just registered for my second 5K! Love the pacing and how it baby steps you through it all. It seems tedious, but it works!

Keeps you Motivated!!!!. I am a 57 year old and was never a runner, I started using the app 4 years ago. It takes the thinking out of how long you should run, the motivational narrator tells you exactly what to do while you can play your own playlist simultaneously. Personally I do not move on to the next day until I can complete the one before. This is great for beginners and beyond. It is also great if you haven’t ran in a while, you can start where ever you want. LOVE, LOVE this app!!!

Successful 10k journey!. In 1.25 months of training 6 days a week, (start weight 158lbs end weight 150 lbs) and eating a clean calorie deficit, I was able to go from suffering running for 5 minutes at 6mph to running for 60 minutes straight at 6mph following this app’s routine on a treadmill. (NOTE: App gives you 3 days a week for it’s routine, I did 6, so essentially 2 weeks on the app per week). I strongly recommend it and the subscription, which you can cancel once you reach your goal, or start over the journey and try to run it faster! I am definitely going to try their 21k runner app with the same method of 6 a week!

Great for getting me back into running. Really like using this app. After an injury I’m getting back into running and I like that I can train for 10K using this app. There are two things I’d like to see changed: 1. I sometimes end the workout before the cool down is over to start my weight training. When o do this, my run isn’t saved and it looks like I didn’t complete it at all. I think you should be able to skip the cool down and still have your run recorded as completed. 2. I wish there was an indoor mode.

Would be 5 stars but.... Only thing holding me back from giving this 5 stars is that I have had this app for a few years and purchased the full 14 week 10k trainer when it was separate from the 5k trainer. Since I have gotten a new phone it only has the new version of it and it wants me to buy it again just to unlock the “premium” version. I even tried to restore purchases with no avail. It was an awesome app until they did that. Second is that I literally have to have my phone open the entire time to get notifications. In previous versions you could lock the phone and still get the run/walk prompts. Not anymore and it drains my batteries. If they’re able to fix these poor ideas I would definitely give this app 5 stars!

Great running app. I began with the 5K app, but switched to the 10K when I realized I'd be up for running the longer distance. I had a knee injury that had kept me from running. The app provides a slow progression which always left me with the feeling of a good workout, but not the sensation of a death march. Easy to use with halfway point audio cue which is very handy for out and back runs. I would recommend this app for anyone coming back from injury or anyone who wants to start running.

10K review. I haven’t run in quite some time and thought i would absolutely be dreading each win! However the app starts you off at a reasonable place which was actually too easy for me lol so I started at around week 3 instead of week 1. After each run, I feel like I want to keep going and I’m actually looking forward to each run ! It doesn’t feel like a chore while working with this app 😀 great review so far and I’m already signed up for 2 5k’s within the next 3 weeks. Next stop is my 10K!

Super problematic. Default position is auto renew but there’s no customer service available to tell you the time period that you are being charged for, could be daily, weekly quarterly or yearly and the user has no one to appeal to. ITunes can help you fight for a refund- but that’s all they can do. They can’t confirm what $7.99 charge represents. They can’t turn off the auto renew and worst of all they can’t put you in contact fitness22, do you remain unable to buy the app When i say there is NO customer support i mean none, no phone, no people, no contact info. You’re just left with calling apple iTunes for the refund but this app has zero nada nothing zip nobody willing interested or hired to help me with my account

Multiple time user. I have used this app over five times and it works every time!! Unfortunately, with fitness journeys you sometimes have to start over when things happen in life... but this app has always been something I knew would work. The great thing with this program is you can always repeat a day, a week, or several till you are able to progress to the next workout. You can go at your own pace. Everyone’s fitness journey is different and this app allows that with its users. :)

Buggy, low effort app. Note: I primarily use the watch app I'm without my phone while I run. This app has few features but plenty of bugs. It's very barebones, which is ok for a 5k app, but annoying for a 10k program. I'd like to see splits and pace data. And much better BP tracking. And, you know, actually see BP, map, pace, etc data for my historic runs. But all that might be forgivable if it weren't for the bugs. It doesn't sync watch workouts to the phone unless you tether your phone before finishing the workout. This is a known issue according to the developer. Do you like having your music muted for large chunks of your run? Good news, there's a bug for that too. Sometimes the apps coaching voice is supposed to say something during the run, but doesn't. The music just stays muted indefinitely, until the next automated coaching tip plays. It's extremely annoying to be running and lose your music for 10 minutes or more. I could mention other bugs, but you probably get the idea. Do better 10k Runner devs and product managers.

Fantastic app!. I’ve been using these apps for years and absolutely love them. Have NEVER been a runner I started with the 5K runner app, then the 10K. When I started I couldn’t run the whole minute in the first session - I was so unfit! Since then I’ve run countless 5K fun runs, 10K, and even a half marathon. My dedication has fluctuated over the years, but whenever I come back to running I always use this app to get started. The app itself is great - no glitches or bugs. Never had a problem with it.

Flexible and personalized!. Love this app, if you’re a goal setter and you need the accountability of a set schedule this is the one for you. I can see all the work outs ahead of me, so I can get excited about what I will be able to accomplish in the future. The one thing I do wish was different about the app is that the run breakdown at the end does not break down the distance I ran in each run and walk increment. It just tells you how far you went and how many minutes you ran vs how many minutes the work out was all together.

Great!. I am really loving this app! I have never been a runner-I have a weak heart and it's difficult for me. However, this app has made me feel like I could become a runner. The pacing is perfect. You can listen to your own music while using it and it just quiets the music for the voice prompts for when to run/walk. It tracks your distance and shows you a map of where you ran. The grafics are beautiful! There is an inspirational message, badges for completing runs which is nice. Overall, I would say it's for the small price for sure!

Best app. I have used this app through the whole program 3 times now. My first time in 2017, I used it to train to run a half marathon. Then I stopped running, don’t know why. Completed the training program again in 2018, then stopped running again. See a pattern? Finally In 2019 my personal dedication part stuck, and I’ve kept it up for the last year after completing the program for my 3rd time. This app is easy to use, rewarding, and encouraging. I cannot recommend it enough!

Great app, but the customer service.... I have used a lot of Fitness 22’s apps, including their 5k, 10k, and 21K Runner; and think they make an outstanding project. I wanted to rate this product as a 5. However, twice I have had an issue with one of their products and their customer service has been lacking. I recently reloaded the 10K runner, and it doesn’t allow me to restore my purchase. I have emailed the company 4 times over a period of 8 days and they have yet to respond. So, I purchased another app that I really don’t like as well as the Fitness 22 one, but the company’s failing to stand behind their product is concerning to me. I expect the product to perform well, and if it doesn’t, I expect them to at least return my email.

Disappointed. I bought this app two years ago and I loved it!!! It instilled in me a love of running that continues. After a rough pregnancy with twins, I'm ready to get back to training but now I'm disappointed. The app doesn't sync well with the tracking app, I can't hear the instructions over the music so I missed multiple cues. Can ClearSky do an upgrade and bring back my favorite trainer? Edit: I'm back at it after another pregnancy but happy to note the app has been updated and works great!

It’s great, but.... I love this app, but I have had to re-download it multiple times and other times I try to check what’s up next but it won’t even log in and I’ve tried multiple times. I got through the first challenge but it won’t let me go any longer and it keeps kicking me out of the app. I love it because I’m trying to go ahead and start getting my body summer ready and to be able to run with my dog for a while. But it won’t let me get in, so I can’t so if you guys could maybe fix that, it would help me be better at running.

Great app. Voices are annoying. I like being able to run sometimes without the app and get credit so I'm missing the "did it" feature. Also that helped me pace myself better like I could just pick a less hard run on a busier or more tired day. There's more pressure now to do it in a prescribed way. Really wish there was a way to prerecord friends/family motivational audio clips. The voices sound like they are trying to be as normal and focus group sanctioned as possible and end up just sounding like stereotypes of boring white personal trainers. How awesome would it be if you could customize the voice??

Couldn’t be easier!. I used to pride myself on not being able to run or workout. After noticing that my resting heart rate was way too high, I decided to take up running for cardio. I remembered someone telling me about the couch to 5k app, and I downloaded it. My first run was so amazing that I joined a gym the very next day! Once I finished the first 3 runs, I decided to purchase the 10k version. Since then, I always look forward to my runs and my body feels so good!! The program makes it so easy that anyone can do it. Every time I reach a new running duration I get so proud of myself. I truly love it!

Great for people starting out. I originally got the couch to 5k app to help me get ready for a physical agility test with a 2 mile timed run. I ended up liking the app so much that I got the 10K version and after a year of not running i was able to jump right back into things. The optimized run options is a huge help for when you’re just not quite ready to jump forward. I’ve recommended the program to anyone who will listen.

Missing half the running stats. My only con is that you can’t track any treadmill runs. You should be able to indicate this, especially given the quarantine and the fact that many people are exercising at home. It’s winter too, so many people probably don’t want to workout outside. Apart from that, I love the app for training outside. I have purchased some of the other apps: 21K and 42k. It was helpful in training for my marathon and half marathons.

53 years young. I own a catering company and was more than “covid fluffy”. I had never been successful at exercise or running. NEVER. Not as a kid, teen, or adult. I lost 90 pounds with fasting and keto, but hit a hard stop plateau. How did I move past it? This app. It starts sooooo slowly with tiny bursts of running and lots of walking between the bursts of jogging. I am stronger, faster, and healthier this week than i was last week, and with this app guiding my way I look forward to becoming an actual runner.

Fat 40 y.o to fat 40 y.o who can run a 10K. Yeah I didn’t lose any weight during this. Probably because I eat like garbaggio. However! I went from being a dude whose joints hurt all the time and got out for breath walking up the stairs and couldn’t run a single block to being a dude who can bust out a 10K without care. Joints don’t hurt anymore either. I just followed the instructions on the app and nothing else. This thing worked better than I ever could have imagined.

Nice App But Probably Not the Best. Pros: Nice doable progressions. Music integration (a huge plus for me). GPS and watch app. Cons: Biggest con is it did not get me race ready for a 10K. I purchased this app after running a 5K and wanted to take the next step. I did not miss a single workout and even integrated all of the “optimized” workouts yet I finished my app series and I still am not running the 6 miles needed to complete a 10K. I am no speedster, but still I am running not even 5 miles. I really think they should somehow include distance into their plan. Also —no music integration with the watch app.

This app will change your life. I joined my couch to 5k running club at my college but found it cumbersome to try to keep track of when I should run and when I should walk when I went for runs by myself. Then I found this app and it made all the difference! I love that it tells me when I am halfway and the words of encouragement it gives near the beginning and end of the run. I also love that it tracks your run. It has helped me to love running and got me to my first 10K! I never thought I’d be a runner but now I look forward to my morning runs!

Is it worth it?. I got the app during quarantine to see if I could do a 10K. I’ve never ran routinely before and most of my exercise is doing chores around the house or some light yoga. The app does a good job balancing out walls and runs for beginners and makes it easy to tell if the run is too easy or too hard via self identifying breath rate and sweating and optimizing later workout based on that. I’m also glad that the app includes rest days as some apps don’t. Overall I enjoyed using the app and will most likely be trying and reviewing their marathon version as well.

Great for new runners - but INACCURATE. this app is great for beginners for simply increasing mileage without risking injury since it is time based and not mileage-based. But it is very inaccurate! As I progressed through the workouts I was suspicious of how many miles it told me that I ran… so I decided to turn on Runkeeper at the same time and confirmed it. I finished the last day and this app told me “congrats you are a 10K finisher!” yet right below this it said I had run only 5 miles….? And Runkeeper confirmed I had only run 5 miles. I am training for a half marathon so if I had not noticed this could have been dangerous. It seems the app just assumes that you run a 10 min mile - no faster or slower? Seems like a huge flaw

Did it!. I finished the 5k portion of the app last week and just ran my first 5k race today. I am amazed! Starting from no running experience and in my 40’s, I wasn’t sure this program would work for me. But the app brought me through the training at a reasonable rate, and gave me the confidence I could do it. I ran the whole 5k, and feel great! On to 10K!! One important tip: Go to a good running store and get good running shoes at the beginning. I used generic athletic shoes until week 4 when I was starting to experience some joint pain, and good shoes solved everything.

I can run?!?!. I’ve been trying for almost 40years to learn how to run. I’m one of those people whose endorphins (before conditioning) would kick in around 35-45 minutes. So I could never get the “feel good” feeling everyone always talked about. This is the first app I’ve tried that I could actually stick with and see the benefits!! The incremental progress through the program was very achievable! There is an optimization feature that once you answer how the run went, it will tweak your next session to keep you progressing at the right intensity to be effective but not overwhelming. As a person who suffered from anxiousness depression, I’ve already seen amazing benefits. I have more energy day to day. My mental resilience is improving as I’m training my mind along with my body to deal with discomfort and come out the other end stronger. I can’t endorse this app enough!!!

I used to hate running….. I am military veteran who used to hate running as physical training; however, since I have been using this application for the past 9 weeks I can now say that I enjoy running. 10K Runner eases you into becoming a runner and you build up to running longer than you could have imagined yourself running. It is impressive how much of our bodies can actually take or endure, and a lot has to do with our mentality. This is an excellent training application and it works! I now have muscles in my legs I have never seen before lol. Hello there ;)!!!

Great guide and motivator!. I started using this app back in 2013 when I realized I needed to make drastic improvements in my lifestyle. I wasn’t sure where to begin, so I started with this app and a calorie tracking app to manage my exercise and diet. After one year I had lost 75 lbs and was running 10-12k several times a week. I’ve managed to keep off the majority of the weight, and even though I’ve let my fitness slide, I’m using the app again to get me back into shape. Obviously it won’t do it for you, but this is a great tool to help you accomplish your fitness goals!
