Good App, but Doublecheck it. A useful App, but should not be relied on blindly. I used it a lot last week in Berlin, and found a few instances where it did not suggest the most direct route or failed to note that either of two S-Bahn lines were equally good for my intended route. Thus, you should use the app as a starting point only and check its recommendations against your U-Bahn/S-Bahn map.

Great for U- and S-Bahn. We used this for our recent trip to Berlin. It works great. I do wish it covered the trams.

Incredible help. What a great app, it is very difficult to retain the names in german, thanks to this app we were able to move around very easily

Directions are wrong. The app supplies directions that are impossible, such as taking the U7 directly to the Hbf. Even when directions are possible, they don't make good travel sense.

Invaluable tool while in Berlin. A great help to getting around the city and finding where you need to go.

True Independence. I too downloaded this app on a whim, and have not regretted it. I can whip my phone out and quickly use the routing function to get me and my friends exactly where we need to go, without so much as glancing around like a confused tourist. Go go go!

It's ok. Station names that have an umlaut do not show up in the app, rendering it often worthless. The map works well.

Freezes constantly. The app is useful, but freezes constantly. Lots of ads when you are in a hurry to find out your route. They will try to sell you a lot of things.

Map is inaccurate. Some lines are missing from some stops when using the map. Otherwise really like the app.

Best app!!!. This has made traveling in Berlin and using the S-Bahn system amazingly simple!!!!

Effective little app. Handy for tourists.. Surprisingly helpful little app, especially good at locating stations and plotting transfers. I used it on a recent trip to Berlin with no problems. So much better than maps in the stations.

Not good for everything. This app doesn't include tram routes, nor regional train options. It also doesn't let you input an address as a start or end point.

Quite helpful. Worked very well. One suggestion for improvement would be to indicate the direction to take in the route planner, rather than only the train number.

I use it almost every day. Simple interface. Easy to use. Accurate. Sure, I could think of some features they could add, but that starts down the slippery slope toward a bloated app. It's great the way it is. Just keep the maps updated and I'll be happy.

Performance. I payd for the lifetime version but now it doesn’t open . Keeps asking me to upgrade again!

Map Update. I like using this app for commuting and planning the routes. The only issue I have is that the subway map is currently outdated. There were some line changes in the past months (S9 for example) that are not displayed on the current map. Please update it :)

Berlin subway. Excellent app. Only improvement would be adding tram line routes to app. But even as is, great aid to visitors to Berlin whose German is limited.

Great for tourists and residents alike. Excellent app for helping one find the best route across Berlin via underground and s-trains. Most ideal fot tourists but applicable for those who live in Berlin as well.

Get it. Use it. Love it.. I found this worked great, as well or better than any similar apps I've used for the trains in NYC where i live. I love Berlin, and part of what i love is the excellent public transport. Ok, and the bike lanes, but that's another story. Anyway, this app made the Berlin transit work for me, and that made me like the app, and the city!

Really impressed. As a fellow app developer I have to say I was so impressed with this app. 100% offline step-by-step directions with GPS and a polished interface. My trip to Berlin w/out a data coverage would have been frustrating to get around without this app, THANK YOU!!!

Absolutely essential. Hung out in Berlin a few days and this app made it insanely easy to get around. Tracks your position on GPS and plots your route, even when you're not on wifi.

So useful. I use it every day. I do wish it would integrate the bus system though

Most handy tool you could ever need in Berlin!!. I was an exchange student in Berlin and I used this app like it was my business. Until of course, with the help of this app, I had the train system memorized :)!

Good enough.. The app serves the purpose. I've downloaded several apps from the same producer for different cities. It's just annoying that they make one single app for each city. I'd prefer to have only one where I could choose the cities i need within the app.

Gave me independence. I downloaded this on a whim, but it was serendipity! With the route finder I was easily able to navigate the ubahn for the first time (including several transfers). I definitely recommend it!

Unusable with ads. I’m in Berlin for one week, not enough time to validate a purchase. When the ad shows up there is no way to get rid of it. Soooo, the app is literally unusable.

Very useful and quck. A very useful and lightweight app, which also works offline! A bus version would also be nice.

the gift that keeps on taking. as another reviewer wrote, first you pay $3 for what was once free before ios 11, and you still get ads. even worse, they want you to pay an ADDITIONAL $4 for the ‘ad-free’ version. UGH

Insufferable ads. The ads are frequent, intrusive, and awful, and who wants to pay a subscription for a map?

Good App. I used this app while in Berlin. It always got me on the correct trains to my destination.

Berlin Subway!!!. Very helpful and accurate..... Great app!!!

The BEST. So easy to use as it's offline so it works above ground and below. Very simple interface. You can partially enter a street (not necessarily a specific stop) and all of the nearby stops will come up so helpful if you can't quite remember the name of the stop, but you'd know it if you heard it type thing. Very very convenient and quick. I liked the Berlin one SO much that I downloaded the NYC one. Fantastic.

Too many annoying ads. This app might be great if ads didn’t prevent you from using it when needed. They’re not just on the margins—they take over the screen!

Berlin Subway ap for IPad. I've been using this app from afar and am satisfied — it's easy to use, quick, and reliable. We will be in Berlin for 3 weeks soon and have used this app to help us locate an apartment near the Tiergarten and close to good subway connections to a language school I'll attend on the opposite side of town. It was most helpful explaining number of transfers and time to arrive, along with some other information. It does not give explicit directions and exactly how to transfer at stations, merely noting where the transfer happens and what line to go to...

Good app. But add end stations. Would be much more useful.

Great app!. This app was essential in helping us navigate around Berlin. I can't even describe how useful it was. My only suggestion is that you add which end point (direction) you need to go. Currently you have to set the route, then look up on the map where the end of the line is so you get on the right train. Integrate that with the routes and it would be gold! Many thanks!

Subwayer. This app is by far the most easy user friendly one out here. STOP NOW don't waste your time else where.

Super convenient. I use this almost every day in Berlin and it never lets me down!

Worthless. Two major problems with this app: (1) It doesn’t recognize stations spelled with an umlaut, which makes it useless in many cases, and (2) It doesn’t tell you which way to go on a given line. That is, of course, a vital piece on information, and to find out you’ve got to trace that little blue line all the way to the edge of the map. What a pain!! Get Fahrinfo Berlin instead. It avoids the two pitfalls above, and also suggests often-faster bus routes between U- or S-Bahn stations.

Just buy it. End of story

Don’t buy the ‘remove ads’ feature. It doesn’t work - you still get advertisements, and if you contact support they say it’s Apple’s fault. A good way to rip you off for $2.99 without doing any work. I liked the free Berlin metro but they didn’t update it for iOS 11 so I bought this one. It’s ok, nothing stellar and it still has those ads.

Good. Really good app, could be more interactively instructive but does what it has to do usefully and easily.

Need to update the map to 2014 version. The latest app update does not contain the latest (2014) map which I obtained from the Information Centre at Berlin Hauptbahnhof.

Quick note. Brilliant app. A must have when in Berlin

Berlin Subway. This is an excellent little app for SUBWAYS ONLY. It figures out the route very quickly, but it doesn’t tell you which direction of train to take. They all go from one end station to another, and that info is missing. So when it tells you to take A-->U8-->B, transfer, B-->U5-->C which direction of U8 and U5 to take...

Only somewhat useful. Berlin's subway stations are unmanned and confusing. You need help, but this app isn't it. The app is built on data taken from a static map. I know this, because it has directed me to take line numbers that no longer exist. Also, it won't give you a platform number or direction to stand at. So it gets you to the nearest station then you're on your own. In order to figure out which way you're going on a line, you need to read an electronic display which usually (but not always) shows the last station on your line in your direction of travel. The route info you're given by the app omits this crucial detail. When you click on the map to display your route, it zooms right in to the first station. So you have to manually zoom and pan to even see your route, and then follow the colored line to the end in both directions to see the station terminus name past your destination so you know what train to get on! Get a current paper map instead of this app. At least the info will be current.

Nothing special. no information on current constructions, not very useful in overview

Excellent. I was in Berlin recently for the marathon and found the app to be very useful. It would be more useful if the subway lines were more clearly identified. Also there are two stops for the Olympic Stadium, and the app doesn't distinguish well between them. Lastly, you should be warned that for some reason it uses a tremendous amount of data. I bought a 120 MB plan for a 3 day trip. I normally don't use this much in a month in NYC, but the app used about 75% of my allotment without a lot of use.

Great App for getting around Berlin. Excellent

Acceptable. Pros: decent mapping, works offline, clean UI. Cons: no tap-to-zoom (this isn’t iOS 7), doesn’t include buses (trains stop at 1am), ads take up the entire screen when playing.

Great app for travelers to save on Data usage. I used this app on my recent 10/2015 trip to Berlin. I'm from the States and my data plan was useless so I'm very happy that this app could be used offline (using my iPhone's GPS). I would say this that this was extremely helpful...in conjunction with another city map app that I used which also used GPS. I did upgrade so that I didn't have to see ads but that's just me. There was only one time when the route was off and unlike the BVG (Berlin' s official transit app which does require internet connection), this app doesn't provide departure time or frequency of stops. Despite these two small complaints, I think this is a great app - simple to use. Definitely using it whenever I'm in Berlin!
