Thumbs up. This is a great app and time saver. There is a small delay between the app and the computer but not a big deal. Highly recommendable.

Beyond expectations. This is a fantastic app. It does all that it claims (at least to the extent of features I have uses) and does it better than I expected. Scanning is fast and accurate, and very robust. Has picked up when barcode was only showing less than 1/16 of an inch, read through sticker residue over barcode; old, new, glossy, dull, faded it has read them all. Using it with Bookpedia and it is working flawlessly. Works great with Bookpedia's "Multiple Entry" feature as well.

CLZ Barry. What a quick and fast way to catalog your books! This is amazing!

WOW Barry. My hand held scanner yes stopped working. So I decided to try the Barry and man this is what I should of been using from the start. So much easy then the hand held that does work all the time. Plus I don’t have to swipe across my comic books anymore. WOW 😲

FAST AND AMAZING APP!!. I purchased the desktop program Movie Collectorz and this app works with this program like a well oiled machine. I use my iphone 4S to scan my vast movie collections and its fun to watch the scanned movies populate instantly on the app and desktop. I now purchase the CLZ movie app to have a mobile record of my collections. Now I can see all the duplicate movies I bought in error. This is a must have for movies enthusiasts. As an added bonus, customer service is great!

Great Companion to Book Collector. If you have LOTS of books and love the idea of cataloging them and keeping track of those you loan so they come back, this app makes it easy to do. Great app! There isn't directions about how to get it to talk to your computer, so some time is lost fiddling to figure it out.

Not Very Automatic. In terms of using this app to enter data in the CLZ Book Collector app, about all this version (1.0.2) CLZ Barry does is to electronically send the pertinent ISBN to the Book Collector app - so long as the Book Collector app is: already open; Barry and Buddy are connected; and the Add Books box is open. Even then, you must still Add To the Queue, and have the app do its "search", before a book can be added to the Book Collector database. This adds up to a pretty ponderous routine, when, instead, you can simply type the book title, or the ISBN from the book cover, directly into the Book Collector's Add Books box, have the app do its "search", and click the Add button to add the book to the Book Collector database. Frankly, I find CLZ Barry, in its 1.0.2 version (which I downloaded) to be little more than a gee-whiz electronic gizmo - instead of an improved means to enter a book into the Book Collector database. In the literature for this app, I read that the developers have something in the works to make the process from book to database more automatic. Let's hope so - and the sooner the better.

Awesome!!. Just awesome a must have for those managing large book collections. You gotta get the database and scanner app! I can scan books in my library upstairs and they show up in my database downstairs or have your laptop right next you and watch all the items you scan on your iPhone appear on your computer instantly! No extra scanner required!! If you take the price of the app and compare it to the price of a scanner it's a no brainer!! Great product guys!!

Great App. App works great with Collectorz. Fast, accurate scanner. Easy to use. Syncs very well.

Great when it works!. Having a little trouble with the updates but it is really great when it works.

Time Saving Tool!. The latest version of Collectorz with Barry is a dream. I only added minimal data to sort in my desired fashion, and expand on a few truncated titles and in short order all 33 volumes of my Christian Commentary were added. Outstanding!

Update has problems. First, they need to update the online manual to match the features of the new version. I was having problems getting version 1.1 to work, and the manual was ZERO help. Second, version 1.1 doesn't work as well with my ipad 2 as the old version did...it takes forever to recognize and scan most bar codes, and some of them will not scan at all. The length of time it takes to scan a barcode is often so long that it actually faster to enter the number manually. I was happy with the old version of this software. I am far less than happy with the current version.

Book Collector. Love this app!!!!!

Too expensive, doesn't sort alphabetically. Try to find a free app that does the same stuff, this app doesn't sort games and movies alphabetically and costs too much, disappointed.

LOVE CLZ!. Just downloaded the Mac OS X and iOS apps. Working great! Seamless integration and the Barry barcode scan app is an excellent time saver.

CLZ Barry App. I downloaded this app and was immediately and easily able to scan book barcodes that were then shared to my computer ... voila! No hassles!!! (Just make sure your connected)

THIS JUST WORKS!!! Stop looking period!!!. Ok, so I bought a scanner to enter products in a web and OSX app and it refused to do it correctly but worked on a windows machine. Mac keyboards are different and the barcode scanners emulate a standard keyboard. No buggy. I tried serveral apps and none worked satisfactorily. Some required you to copy and past, but this JUST WORKS. Put your curser in the app or box scan and BAM!!! It's there over wifi. Instantaneously. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Anybody want to buy my barcode scanner it might still be up on eBay...

Excellent App. I use it for inventory control and invoice generation with my Quickbooks Pro. During the day I am on the road and sell many items to my customers. At night when I make out their invoices, I use CLZ Barry and Buddy for CLZ Barry to send the barcodes to my QuickBooks and all I have to do is enter the quantity purchased. I carry 600+ items in inventory and the SKUs sometimes all look alike. This takes the keyboard mistypes and the number transposing out of the equasion and I bill my customer the correct amount. Thanks guys! Great job. I can't wait till the next update and see what you have up your sleeves.

Wow super fast scanner!. This thing is great. I have been using Movie Collector for Mac and with this I scanned 123 Blu rays in minutes. Just stack em up and peel them off one after another. Bar codes generally on upper right, so it would have the next movie scanned while I was stacking the last! People complaining about being nickle and dimed should read the usage. Also know it sends the barcode to any app you want, not just the movie collector app even though that works great!

Great Timesaver. Cataloguing large collections of books and CD’s has been facilitated by the time saving resulting from being able to scan bar codes.

Worth waiting for. This app works flawlessly and has simplified my life considerably. I sync my book collection among a PC desktop, PC laptop, Mac desktop all in different locations. I used to carry a Flic scanner back and forth between offices, trying to keep track of which bar codes had already been synced in which places since the Flic has no display and no further distinguishing info about the barcode. Barry has eliminated all that and is very slick to use. A note on installation: I couldn't get my iPhone to connect to the server despite delete and reinstall, closing and reopening... Rebooted the iPhone and everything was fine.

Great app with one minor issue. I love this app. I use it to inventory and organize an archive of several thousand books and CDs. The only issue I have with it is that it is a little slow in focussing. You can't instigate the iPhone camera's focussing mechanism by tapping the screen. You have to wait for the app to trigger it for you -- which is rather slow to kick-in 90% of the time. I use the light feature and vary the distance that I am holding the barcode from the camera, but nothing seems to trigger the focussing function. It's a little frustrating, but this app is still a great one. I gave it five stars for the rest of its functionality -- hoping the developers will address the focus speed issue -- which will greatly improve my own productivity.

Makes adding books easy. I often go to conferences where I acquire a good number of books CLZ Barry makes what would be a long and laborious task a quick and easy.

Great App - one flaw. This app makes it easy to add to your collectorz database. They added a new "feature" that is annoying- now you have to enter a quantity with every scan. This should be an option and not on by default.

Excellent App!!. The splendid little app is a wonderful time saver for quickly and accurately entering book ISBN numbers into my library reference software. At one time I thought I was going to have to buy a physical handheld scanner to do the same work, but now I just access the software with my iPhone's camera.I really can't praise this software enough. The developers have done an excellent job!

I like Barry!. Great app that saves me tons of time.

Meh.. I use Barry in conjunction with the CLZ Book Collector software. After scanning in over 1000 books, I can legitimately say it was much more of a hassle than just entering the books manually into the CLZ Book Collector software using ISBNs. Inaccurate returns when scanning book barcodes are anywhere from 10-20% (I scanned them in batches of 20 or so). This is regardless of whether you use batch mode or scan them individually directly into the Collector software. Equally as frustrating is that the Barry PC program is constantly disconnecting from the server. It is very frustrating to scan in 20 books and then look at your PC and see that nothing is there because Barry disconnected before you started. Also, no way to manually enter barcodes or ISBNs for books without a barcode, so if you are across the room from your PC you still have to bring books with no barcode physically over to the PC. I can see that this app has potential, and I understand that this is only the first release, but for 7.99 you might want to wait for a less buggy version that works better.

Must Have For Collectorz Users. I've been using the books database from Collectorz for some time now. However, due to the necessity of having the barcode scanner connected to a computer, I had to scan the books onto a laptop, then transfer the data onto my desktop. The transfer process from one computer to another is kludgy, at best, so I never completed getting all my books into the database. This app is just what I've been waiting for, especially since the iPhone scan is actually even faster than the one done with the barcode scanner itself.

Excellent app that can turn your iPhone into barcode scanner. I’ve tries with many app. But this one is very good. Nearly perfect. If I can choose custom delimiter, it will be pleasure to fit with my inventory control program.

I've been waiting for you!!!!. This app actually gave me hours of my life back! How many apps can you say that about? It works great. It does crash occasionally when it bumps into bar codes it can't recognize, but you don't lose data and it's 2 seconds to relaunch. Also found that the 20 titles of the over 350 it didn't scan, when I went back and tried again only 5 didn't take (just rotated the comics upside down or sideways). Those 5 were from two different small publishers, butnot sure if that's why it was an issue. I love this app! (sorta sad that I am now caught up in my backlog).

Too hard. Jul 2018 This app and the PC sw are almost unusable—no, it is unusable. The directions are extremely vague—no mention of a paid version until the “free trial”. Website continually loops back to login. A full set of setup screens might help, but I’m moving on to something less complicated—and free.

Great app!!. This app makes it easy to keep track of the hundreds of movies, and thousands of books, in my home library. Just scan the barcode on the back, and it pops into the program. Most of the entries include graphics, and detailed info about the item. Great! Highly recommended!

Poor interface. Scanned 20 comics as a trial. Only one was detected to be a comic (and the wrong title/issue), while the rest were read as dvds. Different issues of same title were detected as same issue. None synced to web database.

Works as advertised & blazingly fast. Using to import CDs into CLZ Music Collector and works like a charm.

Seems to work pretty well. It scans the barcode and pastes it into the Collectorz pc/mac program and clicks add to queue. You still have to hit search on all the comics to grab the info. Some of the comics I scanned Lady Death Boundless, Godzilla Kingdom of Monsters, and Godzilla Gangsters and Goliaths to name a few, brought up the series list instead of adding the comics. I'm pretty sure the Godzilla series did that since the same barcode seemed to be used across different variants, however Lady Death used different barcodes per issue. It also doesn't seem to scan any barcodes on Dynamite Entertainment comics. Nitpicking aside I was able to scan approximately 40 comics very quickly. I would recommend this to people who buy multiple comics at once. If this could read the barcodes from Dynamite Entertainment comics I would give it 5-stars. EDIT: 5-Stars, I didn't try till today but Dynamite Entertainment comics successfully scan if you use the "Comic Books TP/HC" setting.

Happy as S%#*!. When I first bought my iPhone 4 I thought, "Man, CLZ should come out with an app that I can use to scan my comics into Collectorz.". A month later I get an email from them saying a scanner app was in the works. Sweet, I thought. I downloaded it immediately and set out to work that next New Comics Wednesday. Sure enough, it was buggy. But the next saturday they came out with an update that stopped Barry from crashing, and even though it won't scan some Dynamite titles under Comics, it will under books. No big deal. If I had to still scan my 6000 comics, it would be work with or without Barry. But it is awesome for the 20 comic books a week I get. Thanks CLZ for listening to my psychic message to turn my iPhone into a scanner for my Comic Collectorz!

Easy to use. Helped greatly in entering my collection. Over 3,000 books, could not do it without Barry!

Brilliant. This app makes adding books to my Collectorz database so easy I can finally manage to catalog all our books (numbered in thousands).

CLZ Bar scanner. Did not work at first but support was able to get it working. Just got app so still waiting to try it out.

Love this app!. What a time saver! I love anything that makes my life less complicated! I use this app to add movies to my Collectorz Movies Collector. We have almost 2,000 movies and this app helps to simplify additions to the collection.

Outstanding!. I have tons of books and this helps speed the process dramatically! I never seemed to get an email with my I’d, but can find it in the app.

Great companion to Comic Collector for Mac. Wanted this as the barcode scanner companion to the Comic Collector inventory software for Mac. Works pretty well for that. My only quips were that is was not entirely intuitive to use with that companion app. Basically, you scan you comics, open the Comic Collector app on Mac. Open the dialog box to add to database, then hit send on the scanner app. The app then auto-populates the dialog box with the numbers from the barcodes you scanned. Would have preferred some sort of auto-entry into the database or a sync type solution, but it does work just fine.

I'm impressed. I have been using Book Collector for some years and was manually entering barcodes. CLZ Barry is a great purchase and I have been scanning barcodes and syncing my little bookworm heart out! It makes the process of entering books into your collection a breeze and the batch scanning is awesome. Thumbs up!

Great Program. I have been using movie collector for many years on my computer & on my iPhone. Great programs. With CLZ Barry, it just makes it so much easier. Put them both together & they make a great pair. They work together magnificently. I would highly recommend these program. 5 stars all the way.

Too hard to handle. This is making it so easy to catalogue over 500 cds and 400 vinyl keepsakes. Now I will be able to go and buy new ones and not double up!!

Needs more. This is a great concept. I do feel thought that when you scan the movie it should be able to put it directly into your collection. Not have to put it in to a document first. Need to sort this out. I love the program on my MAC but i think this is one enhancement it really needs. Keep up the good work though guys and girls. Thanks

Overpriced and ineffective. As a scanner it's very poor, rarely picking up a barcode. As a user experience it's even worse. Why I need to enter an email address to connect to the buddy application is beyond me. It also constantly loses connection with the buddy application, requiring yet more steps to get the barcodes that might have scanned into the collectors program. Id suggest avoiding this and getting a real barcode reader

Clz Barry. No need for a scanner or piling the books, CDs etc in the office. Clz Barry does all I need

Wireless scanner!!!. Find this concept good but this program does not like the iPhone 4S and is difficult to sync with Music Collector (not like in the video) - still needs some work to iron out the bugs to make it work better - portability makes it easy for Buddy but that's all

Crashes on Iphone 4. App crashes everytime I scan a barcode on my iphone 4?

Teaching an old dog new tricks. As a non technical oriented pensioner I was very wary of the new process that I needed to employ using CLZ Barry via my mobile phone. It has served me brilliantly and now I would be lost without it. Easy to use and very efficient.

Great ap. A bit quirky at times, but not sure if this quirkiness is a function of this software or the Movie Collector software. Seems readier to recognise titles/editions than the parent software whic is a bit odd.

Clz Barry Scanner. Works great with clz movie collector, just scanned over 200 movie in les the 2 hours a lot easier then typing the barcodes

Excellent app. As with all of the CLZ suite, this app is streamlined and easy to use without sacrificing aesthetics. Integrates with Mac versions perfectly.

Works great. No complaints. Would love to see OCR support for ISBN numbers that don't come with a bar code. Let's just say I have an old collection to catalogue

Excellent App. Works superbly. Only comment would be the lack of in app instruction. Fortunately it was reasonably simple to get working so even that is minor.

So slow and hard to use its practically useless. This might be the worst app yet that I've downloaded. I'd have said it was completely useless but just when the frustration of using it had me about ready to chuck my iPhone or iPad2 (I've tried it on both) through the window it unexpectedly notices and scans a barcode. When it does, it quickly looks up and identifies the book but who wants to spend 20 - 30 minutes trying to find just the right angle and lighting to get it to scan. I'm not even making it hard for the app - I'm testing it on nice big clear barcodes on the back of good condition books. At $8 this is an "expensive" iPhone app (okay, they are all pretty cheap but relative to others its expensive) which just adds insult to injury. Not impressed!

Just an other scam. Since I've purchased this app and all the related app from this developer it has never worked properly, always an other update, always un other program to purchase and then surprise it still not work as it is supposed. I have contacted the customer support and they manage to blame it all on me, it's again the same explanation "you do not have the right version and should purchase this one" After all the money and time I have wasted on this I have erased it form my device. It does not work!

Amazing app works like a wireless bar code scanner. Tried this app with our database software that has a scanning utility. Was looking for a way that I did not have to buy a whole bunch of $800 scanners since all of our techs have iPhones. This app allows us to do inventory counts and batch load them later or scan them real time into our database.

Just started. For what I have tested so far it seems to work well Does need to have some adjustments done so it can read Smaller tighter bar codes as it can not read all my codes

Does the job, despite clunky user interface. The bar code scanner works great on my iPad Air, even through comic bags. It works best with comic nearly vertical (to reduce glare & shadow from overhead light), and iPad in portrait orientation. The user interface is awkward. The buttons are small, nondescript, and leave far too much useless screen. The notes with arrows on the home page is nice, until a full list covers them. Most notable is the select button and back button (cancel) on opposite corners. Exiting the scan mode and entering the list to select items is clunky. Uploading barcodes to the desktop via Buddy works great. It's fast and fairly easy to do. I've already catalogued over 2000 comics and 100s of books.

Wonderful!. This is a fantastic easy to use app. No matter your level of computer skill anyone can use and enjoy this tool.

Another outstanding product from Collectorz. I've been a loyal registered user of the Movie collector software. For a number of years I've only been entering my new movies as I got them... but all those 1000+ movies I had before starting to use Collectorz Movie collector software never got entered (simply because of the volume of work it'd be to do it manually). This has made entering them in the database a snap! Be sure to review their documentation (links can be found through their most helpful forum) before you start to use it. Once you have it set up along with the little Barry app on your PC, scanning is a breeze. Haven't run into any problems with the app today. GREAT job, certainly worth the $7.99 investment. A+++ app! Great job and superb value.

What a great app. Works perfectly and is useful even if you don't use Collectors database programs. I had no problem scanning a number of different types of bar and QR codes.

Ok but slow. App works well with Collector program but it is VERY slow to detect barcode. I note that someone has had same problem but not everybody - is this related to platform? I'm using my iPod. Other barcode apps e.g. Pict2shop works much faster - finds barcode easily. Please fix this bug as I am keen to buy CZ databases but won't if the scanner is too slow

Clz Barry. Once I figured out how to use it, after reading the easily accessible manual it worked and I had a ball scanning bar codes with my iPad and having the book already entered into my database of the book collectorz software!! If you love books and want to keep them in a manageable state try this you will love it all!

A really good tool. I use this app in combination with the various Collector applications on my laptop. Apps like this make me glad I got an iPhone! It's relatively easy to scan in the barcodes for many books. The collections I'm cataloging include a number of old books, so that means it's back to manual entry. But newer books! Wow! The app grabs all sorts of detail for me and populates the fields in the database in my laptop. I've learned to note when the barcode scan returns a blank. In those cases, I look for another barcode. I've found that, on a number of my paperbacks, the ISBN barcode is inside the front cover. I hate fiddling with barcodes partially, or fully, covered by bookstore price tags or other labels. This app has taken hours off the process of cataloging and packing up the collections of books shared by me and my friends. Generally easy to use, which is good because I find the manual a bit too brief.

Good app!. Its a really cool, well made app! Makes scanning things easy! The only thing that disappointed me was, Some of my barcodes are codabar but i have a letter in them! The letter wont show up! I purchased this in order to make inventory easier! My code 39 bars work perfectly though!

Barcode scammer. Brutal app, worked 1 in 30 so far, tomorrow I'm gonna buy a hand held barcode scanner one that works. Good idea, just doesn't work like its supposed to. I want my 7.99 back!!!

Worth the money!!!. Despite what other reviews complain about I have no issues with this app at all. Scans many comics in seconds and quickly transfers info to the database. What used to take 5-10 minutes to add just a couple comics now takes 5-10 seconds. I will say it took a few minutes to figure out how the app and the database work together but take the time to read the instructions and the problems disappear.

Good app but. I like the app and its functionality but the scanner has to be tweaked. At least put an option to tap to scan. Auto scan feature doesn't work all the time and I am holding my phone trying to scan the same barcode for couple of minutes. It defeats the purpose of using the app

Great app. I've been using with comic collectorz software. Works well. I only had a few comics out of several hundred that had trouble scanning.

Needs an update. Barcode scanner only works on about 3/4 of the books I scan it's really frustrating and needs to be fixed. On the ones it dose scan it works great tho

The products works. Buddy for Barry does work well and it's nice you can use it in other programs like Excel and Calc and others. Although I think paying for this feature is fair. I did not with CLZ Movie mobile app. CLZ Movie mobile app should of been free since you need to pay for upgrade to Movie Collector 8.0 to make the phone app to work.

Turns iPhone into a wireless barcode scanner. This app performs exactly as advertised. Follow the instructions in the getting started manual to get the "Buddy" app for your Mac or PC. Once it's set up, just put the cursor where you want the scan results to appear, in any application, and scan. I'm using Barry on my iPhone 4S to scan CD barcodes for eBay listings--works like a champ. Fantastic!

Invaluable. I love this app! I have only one problem: I can't scan multiple comics in properly. Other than that, it's almost fun going back thru my collection and scanning them into the database. Several times I've stopped to re-read comics I haven't seen in years!

Worth the money. I was amazed with this app, its easy and it does what it says it does. I use it to scan selected items at our store which need to be categorized based on SKU.

Easy Way To Catalog My Stuff. Pretty seamless and so efficient in recording what I have in my collection. Used to do it by hand, which sucked and god awfully slow but it's quicker and painless now. Occasional glitches with scanning but nothing that's aggravating just par for the course with any tech.

Movie collector. This app is awesome. So far it has worked like a dream. Along with my colectorz software and other apps I now have everything I need. I couldn't b happier.

A magical app. This app is one of my top killer apps for iPhone. Every Wednesday, I scan my comics with Barry and queue them up. Next time I'm near a computer, I fire up Comic Collector and send the list over. Bam! Comics added automatically. This beats manually typing them in week after week by a long shot, and I don't need to be home tethered to my desktop for scanning. My only complaint is this didn't come out sooner. Great job by the Collectorz team!

Caution!!!. Purchase with caution. This company has a habit of nickel and diming you for functionality you should just get. The offline mode of this app ONLY works if you spend the extra 20 on the pro version of their apps. Basically another 20 to use the ability to scan many and import many. I'm not asking for custom functionality but interoperability with their own product line. While the product is good, expect to pay 10 for this, 30 for one of the collector apps, 20 for the ability to import data from Barry and 10 for the app on the iPad if you want your collection imported there too.

Works Great!!!. Flawless!! Being used for movie clz, went through and scanned about 400 and no problems at all. I couldn't be happier with this app. Thanks for the hard work and long hours you guys put in to this program.

Great App!. Does everything I hoped it would and does it better than I expected! This is the only app you will need for scanning items.

Great app!. This is a great way to add comics to their desktop database. I've been able to add hundreds of comics using my phone as a barcode scanner. If only the desktop client would track values...

Worked as designed!. Had an issue with barcode but I didn't have my settings correct. Support helped me fairly quick! Hoping the app with help us inventory more efficiently

1000 movies and counting. WOW! I think that is one of greatest things since sliced bread! It's BETTER than sliced bread!!! I am now able to scan all my movies and keep a log of what I have and where it is in my Sony jukebox. Thank you Collectorz and iPad, you've made my day!

Doc. Works great! Particularly neat to just line up your books, scan, and it goes directly to the ISBN field (open the "Add Book" page first...) and you keep scanning multiple books--don't have to click OK or hit return or anything! Just keep scanning.

Great app to scan my collection with my phone. Although I was a bit upset at the price, I have to say the original Flic scanner I purchased quite a few years ago stopped working. This app made it possible to use my iPhone with the Collectorz software to get a full account ing of my book, movie and music collection. Excellent and easy to use!

Excellent app. This app has worked flawlessly right from its initial release. It links easily with any of the 3 Collectorz desktop programs & saves a lot of typing. I've also used it with Buddy to scan bar codes into Excel. That also worked fine.

Read the manual.... I gotta say that I love the Collectorz app on my Mac because it's a great database and movie resource tool. The apps themselves all work just fine and this particular scanner on my iPhone works as advertised. Remember to read the manual/FAQ to make sure you're in the right place and doing the right thing when you need this to do its thing. There's Instant mode and Batch mode when dealing with Barry, but for either to work you need to be on the Collectorz 'add movies automatically screen' screen (and for Batch mode iphone Barry export, you need to be importing electronically thru Queue Mode.)

Awesome App. I tried this with iPhone 3, and it did not work at all. HOWEVER, with iPhone 4S this is a wonderful app … easy to use, have not had any crashes, etc. If you are a comic collector I recommend this highly!

Great app!. I use this app every time I get a few new comics purchases piled up. Then, when I have enough to merit launching Comic Collector, it's easy to load the new books into the database.

Time saver. This is an awesome app. I use it at work and it makes entering inventory so much easier. It has been compatible with all the programs that I use at work. I highly recommend this for anyone that deals with barcodes very often.

Wish it would work for me.... Well, maybe its my fault that this is not working for me as for others!? But this app did not find 50% of my comics and 25% were not even be scanned at all! The other 25% were a pain to transfer to Comic Collectorz on my PC either he gave me a list of all comics ever made or i needed to send them one by one multiple times before getting transfered and correctly added to my list! Im sure these are things which will ne figured out with further updates but at the moment its useless to me and im faster by typing my comics in!

Fabulous. The combination of Movie Collectorz desktop and mobile, along with Buddy For Barry gives you your walking database and the automation to go from just purchased to the library in minutes. Everyone that I have shown this combination to is awestruck.

Excellent. Perfect companion to the Collectorz programs. Works much better than the traditional scanners and allows you to send large chunks of data at a time. Very efficient so far.

Clz Barry. This is a great book scanner/companion to Book Collectorz. Scan LOTS of book barcodes to send to Barry on PC. Saved a great deal of time; even told me when book was already in my list...LOVE IT!

Excellent App!. I bought an comic book collecting program which recommended this app to scan the barcodes. It works exactly as promised. My learning curve was finding out that there are different kinds of barcodes, and you must choose what kind of product you're scanning, which is done on the bottom center. Once I chose comics, it worked perfectly.

Quality. It is simple yet does everything I need it to do. It has saved me so much time I would have wasted entering barcodes.

Good scanner but overpriced. The barcode scanner makes entering all my movies into the database super easy. It saves a ton of time from having to enter them manually. My main complaint though is it is only good for the clz products and cannot be used for other applications. You also cannot use a different barcode scanner to scan in your movies so you are stuck with this one. Considering it's limitations for only one app it seems overpriced.

Great App!. I was too cheap to buy a barcode scanner so when I saw this app announced I was excited! I haven't had any problems using it with my movie database. They is an update coming out to fix some problems scanning comic book barcodes so give it a week. I highly recommend this app!

Very useful!. You can collect all kind of barcodes all day round and transfer them to your Mac (or PC) when back to your desk. Interface could be adjusted a little but generally speaking is a great app. Another reason why you should have an iPhone!

Doesn't work with older comics. I bought this app to go with my CLZ Comic Collector. I have a large collection of comics from the 80's and 90's, which is when barcordes started appearing on comics. Unfortunately, CLZ Barry does not seem to recognize these codes. The app will read them, but only the first part, which seems to apply to the series and not the specific issue. Bottom line is that it does not recognize the comic book, making it completely worthless to me. It may work for new comics (I haven't tested it, since I no longer buy new comics) but it definitely does NOT WORK for older comics. I really wish the publisher of the app had disclosed this limitation. It would have saved me $8.00.

Awesome. The clz iphone apps now have their own scanners, but if you want to scan directly into the desktop app, this app is awesome. Does exactly what it is made to do. A couple issues when scanning in bad light, but other than that it works great.

Works great!. It was a breeze to install the PC software and it worked instantly. Saved me a ton of time when I was selling a boat load of books.

Works for the IPhone. It really works well as a mobile scanner on Mac OS X I can now scan directly into my Bento Database. The iPad app has issues capturing the barcode, I am blaming the iPads camera for now.

Works Great. Love this over my other barcode reader I got years ago from Collectorz. The instant feedback on a scan seeing that it found the correct title is one of the best features for me. Use it with Movies for the moment but if I get any other of the Collectorz products I will definitly be using it there too.

Clz Barry. As a user of comic collectorz software this comes in handy. As the quirky little bugs with scanning and odd disconnects gets resolved, this will definitely be a five star app. Good functionality for the most part, and still a time saver even for someone quick at entering UPC/ISBN.

Music Collector Database renders CLZ Barry all but useless.... Bought pricey CLZ Barry to tame my CD collection of UK folk music - sadly Barry and very pricey MuC are unable to identify way too many of these barcoded albums and I ended up using MuC's laborious method of ID'ing cds from the CD drive where MuC did somewhat better in terms of identifying albums but again, considering the cost of this program, I expected a better outcome.

Does not seem to work with iOS 5.1. Purchased this app eariler today and have spent several hours trying to get it to work with an iPhone 4 and iPad 2 both running iOS 5.1. The scanning feature will not activate on either device. Since the last software update for this program came in Nov 2011 all I can conclude is that it is not yet compatible with 5.1. Save your money. Not recommended.

Great App!. This is a great app. Highly customizable. The only thing I dislike is that the helper app (Buddy for Berry) frequently disconnects from the server. I want to be able to pick up my scanner randomly throughout the day and just start scanning. Instead, if I haven't used the app for a short time, I have to go to the Buddy for Barry app and tell it to reconnect—annoying. If they could change that one thing, this app would be perfect.

Life saver. Great program, easy to setup and run. Take the guess work out of entering the correct book title. Able to process a large box of comics in record time. Worth the price.

The perfect scanner!. Finally, I don't have to drag my movies to my computer to enter them in my movie database. No matter where they're stored, I can scan them with my iphone and send them to my CLZ. Also great for wishlists. Another winner!

600+ and works great. I put my whole movie collection on the computer data base using just this app and only had 2 movies that did not scan. The app held 300 barcodes at one point and probably could have held more. This app works great and I could not ask for more. I haven't had a problem with it crashing but it does disconnect from time to time while sending codes to the database program.

Could not be more pleased. This app not only works flawlessly, it integrates well with the same company's book collector software ony PC. I'm especially pleased with the open interface, which allows me to make use of the app for other purposes. Well done!

Works as advertised. I am using this app along with Book Collector. Once I got everything up and loaded (you have to install an interface on your computer) it worked as advertised. I had been using the hardwired scanner -- no more! I recommend it. The only thing that would make it a little better is slightly better documentation.

Easy. Worked just like they said it would. Easy to use and easy to transfer to my computer.

Works well but functionality improvements are needed. Our use of the app requires inputting letters into manual entry mode which is not currently permitted. A simple fix to allow that would earn a 5 star rating.

Scanning books. Great App. Just scanned in 27 books in one go. Just wish the reader would work with Israeli barcodes.
