Grief. Living with grief can not be defined in five stages. Every time I read through those five stages, I wonder how were they created? It wasn’t with a mother who lost her five month old son tragically from a fall by his father! This happened over 43 years ago and life has stood still and moved on at the same time. Defining this stage of grief is impossible! There is no denial or anger or acceptance. Scholars want to label everyone so they feel accomplished. Sorry, not everyone has a title with a neat bow to seal it closed. Grief is one of those titles that needs to be left to the individual wearing it around their neck. It’s gonna be there forever. Inspiring. Thank you for all the inspirational advice and feel good articles.

OPRAH IS ONE GREAT LADY. I like that she shares her thoughts and feelings. I like this APP because it is about being the best person you can be today and growing in the direction that is best for you.

Not intuitive. The app is telling me I have a subscription and to log in using my email and password. I can’t remember my password, of course. But there is nowhere to change the password. I’ve looked everywhere I can think of.

Disappointed. I thought there was going to be more learning. The same articles have been here since January 1st. When will we get new ones? Glad it was $35. Still not worth it though.

Why can’t I swipe anymore?. Seems the swipe function no longer works so you can’t read the magazine. And the contents page doesn’t work either. Very frustrating. Right now I can only access one or two pages from recent magazines.

5:00 min. Trial. Never saw that before, 5 min. Trial Countdown smart idea!

Integrity. Oprah’s perspective on integrity is very powerful. You have to be whole and honest with yourself to have complete integrity. Doing the right thing builds character and makes us our very best selves. We have to lead by example.

Impossible to cancel. In the app and online it says choose action and then cancel. The only thing it allows me is to suspend delivery. There is no cancel feature. I contacted customer service, no response. I like Oprah but i cannot afford 75 renewal. Before I signed up, I made sure that it could be cancel easily. What they say and what actually happens are two different things. I think Oprah is pretty well off, that there would be no need for these dirty type of practices. I don’t deal with any app or company that I have to call and beg to cancel.

Glitchy. I paid for the yearly subscription but cannot access content. Keeps on redirecting me to join. So frustrating!

This site. Love Oprah! However, the site is really difficult to navigate. I just want to open the magazine and start reading and that’s not the way it is. It’s difficult. Sorry, Oprah.

Oprah can fix anything but her O magazine app. I have always been a fan of anything Oprah but this app is wayyyyy below her standards. There is not service to the customer on the customer service line. I have reloaded this app more than I care to think. I have the app because when and if I have down time this was going to be my go to. I want this app to be functional or give me back my hard earned $20. Can you fix that Oprah?

Peace of Mind and Hope. I find that I feel a certain level of peace of mind and hope when I follow Oprah’s daily programs. It is badly needed in today’s world. Thank you!

Glitchy. I paid, signed up, logged in and was reading a very interesting article. A distracting pop up video appeared which I attempted to delete. When I tried to “X out”I was kicked out of the app. When I tried to log back in it no longer recognized my subscription and I spent several minutes trying to log back in. Never found that article again even using the search feature..

Inspired and Empowered. As always, anything written or said by Oprah warms my heart and feeds my mind with resting thoughts.

Swipe feature no longer working. Similar to other reviewers, I can’t access the mag via swipe feature, which is pretty key. Nor can I access contents via icon (reverts to cover page). How am I supposed to read this mag? Just submitted issue to app support.

Finally!!. She’s back in my life. Feeling better already

Pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure I would enjoy reading an electronic magazine, but so far not bad.

Frustrating!. I paid for an annual subscription through the App Store and when I try to access the subscription, it asks for an email and password. The only email and password I have is for the App Store. However, the app won’t let me log-in or otherwise set up an email and password for the app. If there is some other way to access the subscription, it is not user friendly and I feel like I just committed to pay for a year of nothing! Love Oprah but give the app 0 stars.

Back with Oprah. For years I received the Oprah Magazine and anything else Oprah offered like Meditation with Chepak, cookbook, a table book, etc. After 5 years( after downsizing and making many changes in my life; I signed up for Oprah Insider and I feel so happy with all the inspiring articles I have been reading and to be back with Oprah!

One of the most fascinating women of our time. It’s my belief that Oprah has always discussed and brought forth topics and issues that have helped the betterment of our humanity. I was introduced to many people I respect because of my understanding through her, she not only has been a mom- I say she raised me, it’s the truth she really did… but she has allowed for deep conversation to brought to light bringing up topics that nobody would even think about discussing. I respect that because so much of the time we are afraid to bring up topics or we’re afraid to discuss topics with people because we don’t know how to navigate our conversations. I think Oprah does an exceptional job at allowing people to be people so she can help change the wrongs ways or ideas people. To help a better understanding of our True existence. She introduce to her followers people like Deepak and Maya Angelou Dr Phil and many others she has a clear understanding or what humanity and why we all should try to live our best lives. She has helped many people including myself and I’m very grateful to have someone who I respect and love by my side. It’s also because she introduced me to my Lion who I love so much she will always have my love support and respect.

I want my money back. My credit card has been charged and I’ve set up my email I’d and password. I’ve started receiving the Oprah insider emails. But when I sign in all I get is pop-ups to join Oprah insider. I want my money back. This is too much aggravation. It’s definitely not living my best life.

It’s just the magazine…. I just paid for this and am getting ready to ask for a refund. I joined to take these life classes, but having been on the app for an hour now…can’t find them. Reasons I don’t like it so far: 1.Already a member and logged in but keep getting asked to join 2. can’t find these classes to watch, only see articles on them; this is a reading app- basically the magazine and a store to buy Oprah merch 3. omg the ads..,stop trying to sell me things when I just paid to

Awful experience. I tried to subscribe online and paid 3 times. I can't access anything I paid for the app and certain issue and still can't access anything. Terrible -

It's terrible!. The magazine app used to be just intermittently problematic. I frequently had to delete the app and re-install to get issues to load. I put up with it because the content was great. Since the most recent update, the format of the magazine is ridiculous. You can't scroll through it anymore and there is a ludicrous vertical list of topics to which you must return to read the content. What were you thinking, app developers?!?!?!

Unstable app with incomplete restore purchases. I have been a subscriber since 2013. I also subscribe to InStyle and Real Simple. The Oprah magazine app is by far the most frustrating to use. My purchases are not restored fully. The app stops working routinely, which require to uninstall/install and download again all the issues. Subscribing to digital issues is the environmental thing to do but the experience of using this app is unpleasant which is unfortunate because I love the magazine

App locked all of my purchased magazines. I canceled my subscription after having it for several years and now every magazine I ever purchased is locked and I’m now being charged $3.99 to unlock each one. I’ve reached out for assistance and it has yet to be remedied. I’m frustrated as I haven’t been able to view magazines I already paid for. I’ve reached out 5 times in as many days and still no restore of all of my purchases. I’m so frustrated.

Offline Reading of Past Issues. It seems this is not allowed. I only get to read the last month or two? I am a subscriber, I can keep the paper copies forever, why can’t I have offline access to past issues. It seems this is a recent change to the app, and it is not reader friendly.

Bring back the print magazine. I’m just going to say to say that I am not a fan of all digital formats I like both print and digital options Make digital copies easier to subscribe to annually at a reasonable price

Not user friendly. Bad app. Not intuitive it isn’t even an app but seems like a standalone URL and you have to seek out and look hard for what you might want to look at. Not sure I will ever see all the content bc it doesn’t make sense to navigate easily.

Feminine Flex - Engaged. Just downloaded Oprah’s app, so I can’t say much besides I’m excited to get into the content and get my Fem workout on! Haha. Can’t change unsaved password. I purchased the annual subscription & attempted to set up login. Somewhere in the process it saved incorrectly & it won’t let me login or try to retrieve a password/username. Can’t email for help from app without logging in..... if only I could! Will be glad to change rating once I can use the app. Please help!!!

They got my money but I have no access to the app!. Email after email, 1-800 phone call, a tech support email response said they no longer support the app? I got confirmation that they have my money, my subscription is up to date BUT I have NO ACCESS to the MAGAZINE!! Hello ...is anyone out there that can actually help? Or did I just pay good money for nothing?

Last Update Made Magazine Unusable. The so-called “improved swiping” makes it impossible to swipe at all. I can’t get past the cover on the two most recent issues. Have cancelled subscription.

Charged Twice Can’t Log In. Terrible! Them was given an email for technical assistance and it was returned invalid. Cmon Oprah, who’s running your business? This is crazy. Your name is better than this.

It used to be so good before MAZ. This was such a wonderful app before the platform change. Now, every single time since the changeover (and it has been a substantial period of time now), whenever there is an update, all my issues revert to the cloud and I have to again download EVERY SINGLE issue I have access to via my subscription. That means YEARS worth of issues, since I’ve long been a subscriber, to re-download, constantly and repeatedly. I’m also no fan of the new format, having found the one previous to the platform change, far more straightforward and accessible. Why did they have to “fix” something that was never broken and which now breaks down again and again and again? So frustrating and annoying and just a serious piece of crap.

Ms. Disappointed. I’ve tried numerous times to reset my 2021 online subscription thru the app and thru O magazine. Apple was very helpful but I still cannot receive the current months magazine and the O magazine keeps sending me back to Apple! Very frustrating!

I’m still connected!. I moved back to my hometown of Spencer, OK in July 2012. I had 90 to 95 of all of the issues of ‘O Magazine’ printed. I returned home to take guardianship of my aging mother. Regrettably, she pasted away recently on July 27, 2019. I put my things in storage for about a year to gradually combine our household. One of the things I had to leave in the rubbish bin at the storage was my prized collection of O Magazines. I have a small bedroom and simply had to choose between my books or the magazines. It was a tough decision. I modified my standard magazine subscription to an E-subscription to cut down on clutter. — I enjoy the magazine, it's still one of the ways I can connect to that little girl name Oprah, who asked herself what she be doing in the year 1999.

Can’t Access Free Trial. I had a print subscription that is no longer being offered and was told I could get 3 months of Oprah Insider digital content. For the free trial it asks for my Oprah account number, which I have no idea what it is since it’s not being sent to me. Oprah Membership Club told me to use my Good Housekeeping account number (maybe they are the same?). I tried that. It also asks for my email. To access the subscriber area of the Oprah I Insider app, it asks me to log in using my email and zip. It won’t accept it (says email and zip aren’t valid. I’m not going to pay money until I have a chance to evaluate it for free as I was told I could.

Subscription problems. Since my last update subscription renewal I can not access new issues. The online help does not address this and email response is slow. (Have submitted email, no response)

Doesn't Work. This App is bad. I just subscribed, and first the current issue wouldn't download, now it won't open. Reinstalled and still it won't work!?!! Very frustrating.

Can NOT access “Oprah”. Can NOT access Oprah!!??

Frustrated. I am very frustrated. I have a subscription. All my back copies have disappeared and I have not been able to download the March edition. I am going to cancel. The help in FAQ's has not been helpful Nd suggestions have not worked.

Don't Bother With It. BUYER BEWARE! I subscribed to this magazine but consistently have problems getting the issues to download. It was definitely a waste of money on my part.

Downloading difficulties. 1 star due to download difficulties. To read my monthly subscription requires that I delete and reload the app completely. This month, even that doesn't seem to work. Also, as a monthly subscriber, I get the issues weeks after they've been available on store shelves. Frustrating. Not worth it. Just buy hard copies of the issues you want to read. Better yet, wait for your hairdresser's copy to arrive.

Love the magazine BUT needs work!!. Constantly having downloading issues, should NOT happen, especially since an annual subscriber! Further, it would be beneficial if the magazine could be viewed on my iPhone & in landscape aspect. FIX ASAP!!

Never ending problems. Had nothing but issues with this app. When I emailed for help they blew me off. I completely regret buying this subscription.

Wish I had read the reviews first!!. Looks like they have a lot of work to do on this app and fast!! I just subscribed and was able to download and view e current issue but a back issue I purchased n November will not load and keeps crashing the app. Wi so many frustrated and unhappy customers I think it would be wise to extend the subscriptions of those suffering through these learning pains. I do not have these issei with my other subscriptions so they should have been able to fix this before now.

Change isn't always good. Not sure why the design and layout of the O app recently changed but I am disappointed. The app is more like the paper version of the magazine and is missing the " wow" factor of te previous version.

Ooooops. It took a long time to find the right place and then the timer started for you to review and I literally spent three minutes trying to get past advertisements loads and loads of ads. Then I finally find a thing that looks like it might be interesting and a story but it’s hard to navigate and then the time ran out. I’m feeling very frustrated with the experience because I just wanted a flip thru to see some articles that could relate to women in their fifties but it was so bogged down. Sorry. Oprah magazine. I agree with so many of the other comments. Bought the subscription and have had so much trouble trying to open. Not worth the trouble. I too would like a refund.

Need better service. I've had a heck of a time getting my subscription renewed. Not an easy process. In this day and age, that's just unacceptable for an app.

Digital Editions?. Where is the January 2021 digital edition? It’s almost February?

FIX IT. I would give this 0 stars if I could. I have followed all the delete/reinstall/reload troubleshooting instructions many times over the past couple of days. Wouldn't be so bad if I had heard back from the email I sent. Don't waste your money.

Open please. I can not open my May issue...keeps sending back to newsstand. I paid for a years subscription and that's what I expect! Other subscriptions work fine...what's up. Driving me crazy!! I complained in may it is now August, same problem. Obviously no one is listening so... Apparently it is ok to take people's money and provide no explanation! WOW what happened to customer satisfaction?

scam. the free sample issue has nothing to do with the ipad version of march where no interaction is possible. the free sample is just a lie. really disapointing.

No download. Unfortunately the magazine won't download, even after a week of trying...pretty much a waste of money

Worst. This app just doesn't work. I paid for a magazine and it won't download. I contacted the developers and they just gave me helpful (or unhelpful) hints. They told me to take it off my iPad and then reload. I did that and it still doesn't work. It's basically a big rip off. Do not download this app.

Horrible. I thought it was something wrong with my iPad until i read the other reviews. When I loaded the new app and went to look at my Oprah magazines everything looked so much worse then before. Gone was ALL the interactivity. No video, no typing in responses, no jumping from the menu to articles. The text is so small. You can now pinch and enlarge the screen but that is because it is a flat PDF document. I use to rave about how wonderful this virtual magazine was to everyone. Now I will tell people to save their money. They have taken away every fun, innovative and exciting feature this app use to have. But the price is the same. Shame on them!

Frustrated. I paid for an online subscription yet I am unable to download issues. Why did I pay for something that I can not enjoy! I have sent emails for technical support yet I have never heard back from anyone! Very poor customer service!

App does not work!. Since I updated to iOS I can't access my Oprah magazines. What's going on?

Great on my iPad. I'm really enjoying this magazine on my new iPad. I love how interactive it is and downloading several issues hasn't been a problem at all. Interestingly, I am enjoying this magazine far more online than having the print version. Highly recommend it.

O magazine. I just subscribed in August. I downloaded August but havr never been able to read it. Attempting just sends me back to the newsstand. The Sept. issue started to download then quit. I tried reinstalling but nothing works! How frustrating!

The Only Magazine You Need! O The Oprah Magazine. I so look forward to receiving my copy of O Magazine each month. It is full of wisdom. I love Adam's take on fashion and my very favorite article is "What I Know for Sure." After 15 years it is still full of new articles and it never gets old. The only magazine you need, really!

Oprah mag. I cannot say enough, I take my time to read it all, at least two weeks and a lot of tea or Chardonnay. A real treat that I sip through and savour.

Disappointed completely!. I am really disappointed with the new format, not nearly as interactive as the other one. I will not be renewing my subscription if this is the format that will stay...not good! And I thought it would have improved after the survey!

Problems with downloading. I have been trying to download the new edition for two days now, and I keep getting a "cannot connect to server" message. As I am able to download from my other subscriptions easily and very quickly, the issue is obviously with your magazine. Previous reviews from others suggest an ongoing problem that has not been addressed. I had considered buying a subscription to "O", but as I cannot download even a single magazine from you, why waste my money. I am giving a rating of 1 star only because I was not able to post with no stars, which is what this app deserves.

I’ve been cheated!. I renewed my subscription in June. My subscription is not recognized in the app. I can’t view any of my previously purchased issues I have had the weirdest experience with customer service, whose automatic reply tells me that service has been discontinued for all NOW apps, even though the last update for the O app was 3 weeks ago. There seems to be no one who hears these complaints. Where is customer service and IT support on this? I didn’t think Oprah would be behind such a sleazy money grab.

Sign-in reset doesn't exist. Having a problem signing into the app and there is no option to set or reset a password. Very frustrating.

Nothing but garbage, just like her shows. This is just a load of feminist garbage, with an egomaniac that puts her OWN face on every magazine she has ever made. She OWNs all women, tells them what to do,read,wear,say and believe and women everywhere are nothing but sheep to follower this trash. App problems. Please update this app. I have done everything I can to access my December issue but cannot. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now I can't even access issues in my library. Constant error message says cant connect to server, try again later. Come on o magazine. Fix this! You are going to lose your customer base. As of right now this app gets a zero.

Are you kidding me. I have been a faithful subscriber since the birth of O Magazine and how elated/ overjoyed to find o had moved into the digital world. Today I'm very disappointed that I can't get the current issues nor the other 10 I paid for, we are being told that the server isn't working please try later, really! Is anyone working on this problem or are we all on candid camera!! Really, really I'm tired and just want my mags, hopefully this will reach Lady O and she will she that here subscribers are happy!! Please O or Gayle do something!!

Count me as another disaffected paid subscriber.. I subscribed in August and let my print subscription go - in fact, I'd like all my publications to wind up here on the 'Pad. But when I pay for them, I expect to be able to read them, not be asked to subscribe all over again every month. This is inexcusable. The magazines' rich content, further, is lost on me - interactivity is nice, but I really don't like my devices to make noise when I'm in a room with other people. It's rude, and I don't usually have headphones within reach. But first, figure out who is a subscriber and who isn't. That's a simple database issue. (Apple certainly knows, if you don't. And I'm sure the info is on our hardware in some form.) Then get a handle on file sizes by dialing back on the rich-media content - maybe folks will be able to download the magazine. These are not hard problems - but you may have to be willing to sacrifice production values, or at least not ramp them up with every OS upgrade. Great content nobody can access is not great content. It's zero content. I had to learn that the hard way at the dawn of the digital print era. Why isn't the newest issue available when the print one is?. I'm quite happy with the app--it's the same gorgeous magazine that I enjoyed as a print subscriber, but so much more convenient in the iPad version. My one complaint? The digital edition is not available until well after the print version is on the newsstands. I've consistently noticed that the new download isn't available until a week or so after I've seen it in the grocery or bookstore. As a current digital subscriber and a former print subscriber, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to receive my issue at the same time as the newsstands (although with the majority of my other subscriptions, I receive my issue at least a day BEFORE the newsstands!). It's annoying enough that I'm considering canceling my subscription and just heading to the library to read their subscription for free. If I have to wait, anyway, why pay?

Catch 22/borderline fraudulent. I did a monthly subscription and it has only worked intermittently. For nearly a year, I have been charged $1.99 a month on auto renewal but the app says I am not a subscriber. Therefore, I can't access content without paying $3.99 an issue. I'm told to turn off auto renewal to cancel the subscription but because it doesn't recognize my subscription there is nothing there for me to turn off. So I can't read the magazines and I can't cancel, I can just keep paying! Repeated emails to Hearst and iTunes have yielded no responses! This is a big scam and ripoff bordering on fraud if you ask me. Could have had a print subscription for what I have been paying to get nothing. Buyer beware.

Love the O. The magazine took longer than it should have to download but I was finally able to read it. Beautiful photography and the usual great content. I don't like being limited to reading the magazine in portrait, in fact prefer landscape. I like the fact that I can click on an outfit and go straight to shop, a lot more interactive links are my preference. I don't like the auto renewal feature because it took me awhile to figure out where to turn it off. I do like the fact that I can collect my favorite O magazines and take them all with me on my iPad to read or revisit whenever I want. Keep working on the bells and whistles and u will have a winner. App won't work, very disappointing!. I tried to download issues since October and it kept saying it can't connect to the server when I don't have problems downloading other subscriptions. My existing copies wont open and the app keeps on crashing.I tried troubleshooting although I am well aware that I would have to download all previous issues again. I've deleted and download the app so many times, restored my copies and nothing, now I've lost all the previous issues I have. Even deleted the wifi network and I still can't download anything. It's very frustrating and a total waste of time. Seems that the upgrade they have done made things worst for all of us. I think I will have to resort to reading the printed issues and just cancel my subscription here coz it's a total waste of money. Martha Stewart works great and I don't have to pay for iPad access!

Horrible app. The app is horrible. I have a subscription and it keeps telling me I need a subscription.

Disappointing. Update: didn't think it could get worse, but it has. After I upgraded to IOS 6, I can't access any of the last 18 months of magazines without repurchasing. O support advice: I'm not logged into the right network and/or I don't have a wifi connection. For the record, I've just finished upgrading my home network, had Comcast upgrade the equipment into my house, and am paying for high speed download. Oh, and I'm not having this problem with any of the other half-dozen subscriptions I purchases. I'm surprised that Oprah the Brand supports such awful service. Bug: even when you buy a subscription, the app doesn't recognize it and wants to charge you for each magazine. Per the FAQ's, I've installed, deleted and re-installed the app 4 times. Per the Tech Support folks, I'm supposed to do this one more time. If I'd wanted Microsoft attitude--and software quality--I wouldn't have bought an iPad.

Cannot download issues. Update: 30 Apr 2012. Still not working. I keep trying though. Even if you don't care about your reputation, do you know how much money you are losing by this not being listed but available and people just giving up and going elsewhere? Like others, I am not turning to the print version of your magazine when this doesn't work. I'm going to other, more reliable sources. How many months can you treat your customers this way and expect any success, much less loyalty? Original Review: Since I installed this over a week ago I have been unable to download a single issue. I tried periodically at different times of day to see if it was just a temporary problem with their service but every time I get an error stating that it cannot connect to the server. I followed the instructions in the app support stating that I should delete and recreate my wi-fi connection but that did not help. My wi- fi connection is very strong and allows me to download and stream whatever else I want so clearly that is not the issue. The FAQs on the Oprah website suggest deleting and reinstalling the app. Tried that twice. Tried restarting the iPad. No luck. Hopefully they will provide a working update soon because there are many disappointed potential customers giving up on waiting for a resolution.

The app don't work anymore. I've been a subscriber to Oprah magazine for the past year and just renew the subscription on March 31st, but the app just don't work anymore. ALL of my previous purchased magazines are gone including the latest purchased on March 31st, they're all can't be found. Seems that the app just freeze, i can't click the setting nor the store, there's nothing in it except the Oprah magazine logo. I've tried to report a problem and wrote about this, and there's also an option for a refund for the latest purchased, i've chose that option and it said that my purchased has been cancelled and refunded, but i can see that my store credit is still in the same amount and has not been refunded. I tried to click the App support here but it said 'access denied' because i don't have permission to it. I don't understand why. So please advise about this problem, why ALL OF MY PREVIOUS PURCHASED ARE GONE ??? And how can i get them back ?

Un-happy customer. I have been a long time subscriber to O magazine and simply adore it. A few years ago I switched over to the digital version which has been great up until recently. This new app does not recognize me as a subscriber so all of my current and past magazines are completely gone. To make matters worse the app is not user-friendly and I have been unable to get a hold of anyone in customer service to get this resolved. I'm very frustrated and hoping for a fixed soon…

Use to be great. Now horrid. I use to love this app. What happened? The last several months I have been unable to open the magazine. It was hard to download but they finally did but they won't open at all. I have tried every single thing the FAQ say to do. I emailed the email address listed in FAQ but no response. And of course my subscription just automatically renewed too. Please fix this and let us know when it works. I am at the beach and have resorted to just buying the hard copy even though I just paid for this thing (without my realizing it first) last week. Not fun. Till they fix this, don't buy it. This is shocking because I use to LOVE it, and told everyone how great it was. Total disappointment lately.

Try this to fix download issues. I was having download problems with my paid subscription, but did the following to resolve the problem. Three steps: 1. From the newsstand delete the Oprah Magazine App. 2. Reinstall App from App Store. 3. Launch the app and click on the settings icon, select restore. I was able to then download all the previous issues covered under my subscription, including the newest issue. Hope this helps

Worst APP Ever. This has been the worst APP I've ever downloaded. First of all, the printed version of this magazine shows up on news stands about 2 weeks before the download is available. So much for subscriber appreciation! Secondly, every month when a new download is available I have to completely uninstall the APP and reinstall to get the new issue. If I want any of the old issues I have to also reinstall them in order to be able to read them. Also, the APP will just randomly shut down in the middle of reading and quite often freezes so I can't reopen. I then have to start all over with the uninstall, reinstall process! I love new technology when it functions properly, but this APP has been a huge disappointment and frustration right from the start! Finally, after a year of frustration I cancelled my auto renewal 2 months ahead of time. But, the money was auto deducted from my account anyway. While I still receive the notification to download the latest addiction it says I have no current subscriptions. None of the problems have been fixed and I wish I could figure out how to get rid of the APP but apparently it's impossible to cancel the subscription!

If I had to do it all over again, I would buy the hard copy. This is the most frustrating app ever. Sadly, if it worked properly, it would be one of the best apps, but it doesn't. First of all, when you download an issue, you have to stay on the page -- and the download is looooong (it's like having dial up, if you can even remember those days). It bombs often. I've had to reinstall the app four times because I couldn't read an issue, or it didn't recognize that I was subscriber. Once inside the app, which is like reaching the summit of a mountain after a long climb, some of the features don't work. You're asked to scroll to read the rest of an article, but the scroll doesn't work. Or you're asked to take a test, but the buttons don't work. It's FRUSTRATING to say the least.

The app is horrendous as is the service surrounding it.... I subscribed last December. The app is extremely buggy and it still tries to charge you even though you supposedly have a "subscription". So they take your money and then when you try to get help, you get the run around. I contact tech support who passed me off to Hearst. Hearst doesn't even have an iPad or tech support key. This I did because I thought I didn't even have a subscription it's that screwed up. **** The beat they didn't miss was to tell me it's time to re-up my expiring subscription that has never worked. OVER IT! Go to WIRED and buy their magazine on the iPad instead. At least they have the process streamlined, the customer service wired and there is no BS. Did I sound a tad frustrated?

LOVE the Mag HATE the App!. I have a one year subscription but only been able to download one issue. I have uninstalled and re-installed this app twice in order to get the current issue. Once I download that issue and try to get any other issue after that I get the error "Download is progress. Another issue is being processed, please wait until all issue are installed to download a new issue.". I can turn my iPad completely off and still get this error. No other issue ever downloads. The one issue that I am able to view is amazing. Please fix this problem because it is making this a disappointing experience and I am most likely not going to renewal my subscription. Thank you!

"Cannot connect to server". Like many other reviewers, I have not been able to download any issues for several days. After trying everything suggested in the app's FAQ (including disconnecting and reconnecting to the Internet, deleting and re-installing the app, making sure that no other apps on my iPad were open before trying to download a new issue), I sent an email to the customer service people at the email address provided in the app FAQ. I got an auto response saying that they couldn't attend to my email during the holidays. That was on the day after Thanksgiving. From reading other reviews it seems that many people are having the same problem. It's frustrating not only that the problem isn't fixed, but also that there has been no communication or explanation to subscribers, except for the auto-response that they can't answer email over the holidays. Does that mean that they are vacationing until January? It is also frustrating that the FAQ does not provide a phone number. This is the worst app experience I've ever had.

Shadow of its first version. O Magazine used to be so cool. So many interactive features. I was blown away by it's creativity. Now it's hard to read on iPad and I can't download the December issue at all. So disappointed. Not renewing.

Love for new iPad. After YEARS of auto renewal to the online edition Hearst sent me a print copy, then attempted to bill me and "expired" my online subscription. They now want me to buy individual copies. I've written to them several times. I get no where. So now it appears there's no more subscriptions? Anyone else get ripped off like this? Insulting. So here's my revised warning : 1. There's no landscape mode. Ever. 2. Can't copy/paste or share anything (not even a recipe). Ever. 3. Hearst magazines are incognito if they make an error with your issues. Can't reach them. Ever.

Love the e magazine. I would never read the hard copy version when I had the subscription, because it was never where I was when I had the time. I love this version because my iPad goes everywhere with me and now I have something I want to read in waiting rooms etc. Once I downloaded the app the magazine was in waiting mode forever until I rebooted my iPad. (hold the home key and the power key until you see the apple and then wait until it restarts, which takes awhile). The only issue I'm having is I can't figure out the "favorites" tab. No keyboard comes up to type anything and you can't highlite and drag either.

Update stinks!. The pointless bars on top and bottom obscure content. I hate this version. All the magazine apps "powered by MAZ" are garbage. I’m getting ready to dump them all.

This is a rip-off. I don't have problems downloading or opening my magazines. I don't like that my back issues are archived and I have to download them again since the new App. With the new App, my bookmarks were not saved and I have to start over with each issue. What I don't like about this subscription is you have to pay additionally for the IPad version, on top of paying for the paper subscription. I feel I should only have to pay for one subscription, either paper magazine or IPad version and receive only one issue, either paper or IPad. Right now I get both the paper version and IPad version and I haven't even paid for the IPad version. Then I received an email that indicated I signed up for a new subscription. I never did that. So, I'm not really sure how the people who run this magazine are doing this. Nevertheless, I'm canceling my subscription. I am very disappointed because I like this magazine. I am very disappointed in Oprah and her employees. My other subscriptions from well known magazine don't have this problem. I think the Oprah group should take lessons from these other magazine companies.

Beware of auto-renew: Hearst Publishing will take your $. I bought a year's subscription to the iPad Oprah magazine and it never worked properly. Little did I know, my purchase was set to "auto-renew." I don't remember choosing this option. So last summer, I was charged for a second year. The dang app still won't let me read the magazines. I'm super computer savvy and this thing mystifies me. At least they finally added email support. Let's see if they answer me back. And they also added instructions about how to stop the auto renewing. I cancelled my paper subscription when I got my iPad, and have now stopped the iPad bleeding of money to Oprah by canceling auto renew. What a shame. I used to love Oprah magazine. No longer a fan.

Digital Edition is always 2-3 weeks late!. While I absolutely love the content of O Magazine and I have been a subscriber from the beginning, I hate that the tablet edition comes out weeks after the print edition. Every month when I see the print edition on news stand, I'm frustrated that I have to wait 2-3 weeks to actually read the magazine. I've kicked off my month with O Magazine for almost 10 years and now I can't do that. I'm already a few months into my digital subscription and feel like a hostage. I hate that I am saying this in 2012, but next year I am going back to just a print subscription. O is likely the only magazine that doesn't give free tablet access with a print subscription and so if I have to choose, I choose print and not waiting almost a month to read it.

Loss access. Loss current and previous issues. No help from customer service.

Try This If You're Experiencing Download Trouble. Close app. To do this, press your "home" button on your iPad twice quickly so that the tray of apps shows up in the bottom of the screen. Tap on the O icon and hold it until it starts shaking and a red "minus" symbol appears over it. Tap the minus symbol. Then tap the "home" button again. Then reopen the O app from your main screen (just as you did the first time). This helps to restart the downloads. Got this info from O web site. Worked for me, received my five free issues. Love this app.

Is This Thing On. Does anyone read these reviews because there is CLEARLY an ongoing problem with the app. I don't have this problem with any of the other magazines I subscribe to on my iPad. Reinstalling apps, turning the device on & off, etc is really a bit much just to read a magazine. It's really unfortunate that once I cancel my subscription & request a refund I won't be subscribing to the print magazine either...it's just really inconvenient to carry around an actual magazine. Perhaps if this issue is fixed I'll subscribe on my iPad again.

Not what I expected from Oprah. I was very disappointed with the electronic experience. The November issue took far too long to download as compared to other magazines I subscribe to electronically. Other magazines allow you to start enjoying the issue while it is still downloading. This magazine requires the download to complete before you can start reading. It also took several attempts to get it to download. I finally had to keep the app open and touch my screen periodically so the iPad didn't go to sleep. This app needs the ability to load issues in background. The format was also a big downer. It was virtually a copy of the print version without much electronic wow. Read an article, flip a page, read an article, flip a page ... Occasionally a button to push for more info. I'd suggest the publisher research other electronic magazines like BHG, Martha Stewart Living and National Geographic for improvement ideas. on a more positive note, I did like the November interactive plan.

Recent redesign of this app is awful.. I love O Magazine and have been a subscriber for years. The iPad app used to be excellent, but a couple months ago they changed it drastically, and now it's so bad as to be almost unusable. You can't flip past the front cover; you have to pull up the page navigation at the bottom and manually drag yourself to a different page. The table of contents now has neither page numbers *nor* clickable links, so it's pretty much useless. To get to an article you want, you just have to guess how far into the magazine it might be and use the page navigation to flip through till you stumble upon it. Then, reading it is a major pain because they switched to this weird vertical format where each section -- not just one article, but a cluster of them -- scrolls down, not across. BUT, there's this bug where if you accidentally move your finger (or, it seems, just look at it funny), it will automatically skip back up to the very top again. So you're trying to read an article that's like 12 pages down, and keep being shot up to the top again, then having to scroll down and down till you find it again, then the process repeats a minute later. This is so bad I've asked to switch my subscription to Zinio, and if they won't do it, I will pay for a new non-iTunes format subscription myself.

Love It!. This amazing! Took a while to download the issue onto my iPad but now that I have started reading I have to say that the design team really has done a great job in making this look as beautiful as the printed version, while at the same time utilizing the interactive potential of this medium. Really like the fact that I can close it and come back later to the page that I left off on too. I had subscribed on a month to month basis but I will be changing that to a yearly. Thanks for a great experience!

Got it Right!. True Oprah fan! Was not an "O mag" subscriber. Moaned & groaned how print media was slow to enter the digital world, blah, blah... Than heard about O app from a biz new radio program; like many was hesitant about shelling out $$ for an app. But classic Oprah-like style, I downloaded a free issue, read it, was impress with the eyes inviting colors, love the digital interactive functionality, the option to makes notes on the "favorite things" section etc. Perfection for me is create a share function for articles. Thanks for getting it right & I hope other mags follow your lead.

Great Magazine - Terrible App. This app is absolutely terrible. I have been trying to download it for 4 days! This is at least the third month in a row that I have struggled with the fussy download process. After repeated failures with following the instructions in the FAQs I requested app support and received a fairly prompt reply. When I sent a reply saying that the suggestions did not help I quickly received a response saying that app support is on vacation during the holidays. The ultimate irony is that the subject of this issue is Oprah's "favorite things". I don't want a diamond watch or a new car. I just want to read about those things in the magazine that I already paid for. I could buy the magazine at the grocery store, or have it delivered the more reliable old fashioned way, but I buy it electronically out of concern for the environment. This is a real test of my commitment to my own priorities.

Do not Buy. I bought the Oprah magazine on line (1 year subscription). I received the December issue but not without juicy difficulty, being charged twice installing, uninstalling, reinstalling. then January came, it did not show an update so I did all kinds of things to try to get that to download. It only took a month. After corresponding with Hearst Magazines and the oprahmag, Ipad team and jumping through more hoops try this try that none of which worked, I finally ask for a refund. I would then have to email them my iTunes charge from Nov, to get a refund. I offered to mail them the i tunes charge on my credit card since I do not keep emails for three months, but they wanted the email. In finally read the reviews, did a bunch more stuff combining a lot of alleged fixes and downloaded the Jan and Feb issues. Who knows what March will bring?
