too much gunk. I bought this because I just wanted to make better recordings of musical ideas. I turn this thing on and it bombards me with offers for crap to buy that I dont need before I can press record. when I finish recording there's no way to change the title of what I recorded. hey but I can download stupid featured and accessories til the cows come home. At least the iRig pre works, after some fiddling. The (input) gain slider is hard to get low enough, and is bumped easily, but it works. It's a hassle to plug everything in though, and the bombarding interruptions make it so I end up not using iRigPre that much.

Do NOT depend on this app. Trying to record something that matters? Find an alternative to this app. Any tiny interruption will not only end the recording, but delete anything that was already recorded. This can be things like running out of storage, hitting the lock button, or even accidentally touching the bar at the bottom to go to the Home Screen. No matter how long you’ve been recording, these actions will completely wipe away that session. So, I must repeat, find an alternative if you don’t want to run the risk of losing your audio. This glaring flaw is the chief amongst many lesser issues: - difficult to understand navigation through the app - sync between audio and video slowly deteriorates the longer a recording goes (it seems to be about 1/2 second of slippage every 30 minutes of recording) - the most basic tools are locked behind a paywall even though I paid $100 for the interface to begin with - the list goes on Developers: Please update your app for 2022, as I’m actively looking for alternatives.

No longer works please update!!!. So frustrating. When I record the Audio sounds distorted and sped up. I have to download the video fully to hear proper audio.

Stereo. Works well with iRig Mic Field & Zoom H6 with CCK. Most recording apps cannot record these items in stereo, even paid ones such as iRig Acoustic, Studio Mini, or Jam Up Pro. I bought the wav add-on because this app is serious enough to export hi-res audio & HD video, even for gigs as a backup or second source.

Problems. The app itself is great. The problems start with the cheaply made adapter you buy for $50. It has now broken twice on me. The pattern is that it works for three months and then stops working. You get little or no support from the company. The first time the adapter broke on me I sent it back and had email after email exchange to get it fixed. After much hassle it was fixed. I would not recommend getting this app and going this route to voice. Too much of a headache and it does not work long term.

Irig recorder. The reviews here are not glowing from the musicians. I am a teacher who is using this app to record my students, and it is excellent for that purpose. I have recommended it to a number of friends who were looking for an wary to use recorder for their IPad. I like it so well, I might just spend the $5 for the added features. If I could adjust the volume to play back, this app would be perfect for my needs.

Great app. Way better than the stock recorder provided by Apple, i can actually see audio waveforms,export through email and edit through Audacity on my cimputer,it is a must for iPad owners because for some reason,Apple did not include the voice memos app on there

Do NOT Update to 3.0. Do NOT update this App. You will lose the good features of 2.0 by going to 3.0! After updating my old library of songs was not accessible with the app. They were still there, but I had to move them to another device to play them. Also had to go into the library through iTunes to delete them. Brilliant! The old version 2.0 allowed me to rename the recordings within the App, that has been removed. When contacted the developer stated that there is no way to go back to the previous version so all the convenience of having a portable, manageable, recording and playback device has been sacrificed to add video capability. They should have built a separate app and left the old one alone. I have suggested that they resurrect to older version and re offer 2.0 it but for now avoid this update. They really F'd it up.

Great for the price!. As a Voiceover artist I find this app "interesting". I have unlocked all the options. Play around some with it and can say this app is worth it, minus the editing. Great for dictations etc. I would hope anyone would not expect to edit a broadway type recording from their cellphone! Leave that to Audition or Sound-booth, whichever you might use.

Get rid of "free" banner!!. I downloaded the app to try it and ended up buying it.. But to my surprise the "free" banner on the app icon still there... Support told me that unfortunately they cannot get rid of it and that I'll have to have the icon like that or that I needed to but the other paid version, the one without the banner. I just cannot take the sight of the icon anymore knowing the I paid for the full version and this people don't have the creativity to remove the banner once you paid for it or at least redirect you to buy the pro version. I'm deleting this crap and buy another one from a decent company. Enjoy the money..

Please fix not working. We use the iRig to livestream on Facebook and it has worked great until recently. Now it doesn’t work anymore. We start the iRig app before we start the livestream like it says to and it starts but it won’t keep working. We use to be able to stream without starting the app but now we can’t and it won’t keep working after we start it

INTUITIVE AND EASY TO USE TOOL. Using the iRig Recorder with the iRig Pre interface was a snap. The recording quality is very good for interview/vocals. Using an iPad and dowloading the in app All Functionalities Bundle seems to be a good value that adds lots of flexibility to this app for editing purposes. Exporting files may be another issue however. Included are options for FTP file transfer or Sound Cloud exporting. My preference would be to use the more widely accessible Dropbox as an option. For this reason I give it four out of five stars.

The iRig pre is garbage so is the app. I bought the iRig pre and you get what you pay for ... it’s a cheap amp with constant hissing, there’s absolutely no way to minimize the hiss enough to justify the iRig setup, now for the actual app, it’s your typical cut back app that is only alittle better to use if you spend an extra 10 dollars for the perks .. and this app does nothing different then 20 other apps out there except they do it completely free, would not recommend!!!!!!

Not Working Anymore. I’m not sure if this had anything to do with the new IOS 16 update but I can’t even hear myself playing on the app. I can only hear what I played after I record it. This app use to work just fine. Now it even speeds my videos up when I listen back to them. Please fix this !

Favorite feature gone. My favorite feature of this app, sharing via wifi is completely gone from the new version. That feature allowed me to get my large files onto my computer directly without any third party app or site involved... Needless to say I am not happy about this change - especially since your company website still claims that the app has this feature.

Needs better sorting/searching. This app badly needs to have better functionality for sorting and saving. What person remembers what they did by date from a month ago? The recourse is to pick through days until you find the date that contains the file you named your demo under. Every other recording app does this better.

Great!!!. Works absolutely great, especially with the iRig Mic. I was positively surprised at how little noise there is in the recordings! - Being a podcaster, I've experimented with a LOT of recording applications, but most of them seem to have a good amount of that annoying background hum. This app really manages to keep that under control, even without using any of the paid add-ons. I also like the option of live-monitoring. It also exports in a nice, compressed, compact .mo3 format with a small file size but tremendous quality nontheless One downside is that I would like to see an option to export to other applications on my phone (eg PhoneDrive, Dropbox etc...) and not just email, FTP server, Soundcloud and so on. EDIT: In the meantime I have found a way to upload to dropbox immediately, I simply send the recording from the app to a special email address that automatically saves it to my dropbox. Otherwise, one could always just email the file to him or herself and then upload to dropbox from the computer or saving from the email to the dropbox app on the iDevice itself.

The best. I love this app. I bought the mic that sends you to the app and the recording quality is top notch. You hear everything you want to and nothing you don't. So I don't hear the fan going in the background or my roommate rustling papers. I wish I could return the $200 system I bought that does less than this.

Multi-featured, though with a few bugs. Uses the "Apps File Sharing" functionality to expose the recorded files in iTunes (under Apps tab of the mobile device), and can be converted to various formats. Renaming functionality doesn't work perfectly (if you try to "rename" a file the same name that it was, it shows an error that a file already exists with that name (the file iteself), and pressing the "Cancel" button doesn't remove the "rename" dialog from the screen if the device is using an external keyboard (onscreen keyboard behaves as expected); the only way to close it is to actually change the file's name). Recording time only limited by device free space is amazing for a free app!

Bummer. Lots of distortion. No bueno. Very sad!

U can't get out of the app!!!. I record something and I exit out of the app. But it is still up at the top. The red bar saying irig recorder... It even open other apps and then exit out of them then go to irig and it still is up at the top of my screen. So it drains my iPods battery and makes it warm and doesn't operate as fast as it usually does. Please fix this problem.... It is a big problem for me.

No Delete button. I can’t find a way to delete old recordings.

What happened?. It just doesn’t work well at all anymore. I’m very disappointed.

How To Exit iRig Recorder. APP works great but it was strange that it still runs in background when the APP is closed. To correct the problem goto SETUP then scroll down and find BACKGROUND AUDIO and de-select the ON button. APP will the close on exit. I wish the APP had import capability and Export to DropBox.

Needs to be an Audiobus input. Basically this is Apple's Voice Memo with a microphone. To be of more practical use it should be an Audiobus input, so you can record into a multitrack app. It is an Audiobus output, meaning that you can record from another app into Recorder, but what is the use of that since it is only a single track recorder? So you can listen to your other recordings in Recorder? Also the pop up ads are annoying.

Cautious note, and positive feedback;. This app will possibly lose your recording(s) if it crashes.... The problem is that the app auto-renames your edits of a sample by adding the following " (edit) "....I had this app crash during which I was editing ..I had saved my original and gave it a name at the start then made about six edits not knowing this issue and lost it all. This is a terrible flaw .... So it's kinda silly in that I guess you have no security in the app to rely on. If you plan on doing important stuff don't use an app. Kinda obvious, but should be said. If you play with the app anyhow just be sure to give names to you edits as you make them...one crop at a time... just be sure NOT to let it rename multiple edits on its own ..... Otherwise it may name them all the same and if the app crashed it will not hold the files and bring them up again due to them having the same name. This may have just been something that went wrong for me but it should be noted so you are aware.... It's just an app. I will end however suggesting that for an app this has some excellent quick tools and great capabilities. I would be very satisfied had this not happened to my recording. Don't get the full, what a crappy company. I was a paying customer for the features they had on the last update of this app. But with the last update it deleted all of the recordings I had, which is devastating. Not to mention they made the version free again so you have to repurchase the features. I don't see how a problem like this wouldn't have been realized. Seriously lack of thought for the customer.

Terrible app. Please fix it or stop charging money.. This app is absolutely terrible. None of the editing functions seem to work at all. Don’t even bother trying to record video on it. It won’t let you export the video if it’s too big. And if you try to trim the video down so that it’s small enough to export it will either mess up or corrupt your file. So it’s a lose lose. I lost an entire recording of a rehearsal because the app malfunctioned. Do yourself a favor and don’t use this app or I rig gear at all. i’m going to test out to see if the IR rig hardware will work better with some other apps but I have my doubts.

Not Working Anymore. When I first purchased the irig, the app and device worked seamlessly. Now it's not capturing any of the feed audio, and instead it's recording ambient audio as if the irig weren't even plugged in. Please fix as I use this for gigs.

So far so good. I have found the free version gives me just what I need: audio input level metering and input from Audiobus. On my iPad 8 I am able to record video of myself playing through midiguitar, kq dixie synth, and reverb—to take one example—without glitching. Then I can export to Dropbox or wherever to edit in Shotcut—all from within this diminutive tablet! I’m impressed and grateful.

loved instant recording, hate wifi, have to do each file one at a time. I thought this was going to be my favorite recording app, as it was the only one I could find that would start recording right away, which is what I wanted. ...but the reason why I don't use it anymore, is that when you connect up through wifi, you have to select each recording (one at a time) to transfer, and then it processes it, which takes awhile, and then you finally can transfer it to your desktop. I record a lot, and so having to select each recording one at a time and then wait for it to transfer makes this app unusable for me. If they would change it so that it could connect up instantly to wifi as a batch recording, like the app called recorder, then I'd love it, as I like the auto record feature on this app. but as it is, it takes way too long to have to choose each file, and then process, and I don't have time to select each file one at a time. If they change it, I hope someone will let me know. thanks.

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Ummm... I recorded something but it wouldn't play back. There's what looks to be a playback button on the right side of the file bar, but that's just to edit, which you need the full version to use. Fair enough. On the left side of the file bar is a play button that appears to do something... You see the time marker move as if it's playing. My speaker is on and my volume is up, but no sound. Okay, I figure I need to explore a bit so I went to "Help" on the menu screen. Here's the kicker: you can't get to help without registering the app. Sorry, but that's more intrusiveness than this app deserves so far. There are other editing programs. I'm going to use one of them.

Going downhill. The app was good for what it is. I paid for the audio editing stuff and they’re great, but lately it’s been so horrible. I can’t edit my stuff without it crashing and I’m getting al of these stupid adds now. Honestly if the issues keep up imma just stop using this and go look for a better app.

Audio issue. Audio comes out in slow when exporting to my phone. Videos come out normal speed but the audio is in slow motion Can anyone help me please?

Pull from saved songs on phone. This app needs to have the ability to use songs saved to your phone. Would be ideal for people recording covers.

Horrible update. The previous version was a handy little app. I paid for additional quality exporting. The app did what I wanted it to. Major problems now 1) There are all sorts of "Offers" that pop up when you're navigating. It makes it impossible to quickly start a recording because you have to take time to dismiss all the in-app purchase prompts 2) Now exporting doesn't work the way it used to 3) The updated app either won't restore my in-app purchase, or these are no longer valid. This app is now a bloated useless app packed full of features I do not use

Please Update App!!!. App is not compatable with iOS 16. Once you start recoding, it stops in the middle of your recording & cuts out. Very annoying.

good. I've been looking for a free app like this forever and I finally found it!!! yay!! I like how you can go out of the app and still be recording but I wish you could record while playing music cuz tht would be awesome and then I'd give 5stars

Works one minute, not the next. First of all, I don't like an app that goes with a product I purchased (iRig Microphone) that keeps asking me to upgrade to do more stuff. Second, when I practiced with this it worked fine. Then when I went to do a live recording it recorded nothing. The iRig microphone continues to work great with my Tascam app, but it's 'hit or miss' with the iRig Mic app. Not worth chancing a failure to record. The iRig microphone also works great recording live video.

Bugs that need to be fixed. I'm surprised that as long as this has been out they didn't fix it's flaws. For example: if you hit record then when your done you hit stop. You then always get a red message (after leaving the app) saying iRig recorder recording. You can't get rid of it until you reboot. Also, had a bunch of recordings, deleted a few that I didn't want and the whole group erases.

Love it!!!!!. Its awesome I really like it for those who say it doesn't work or that they don't know how to use it just put your headphones on and u it sounds like a real microphone and to record just press record!!! Lol I'm really happy it's free!!!!!😍❤❤

Lousy. All I want to do is get the app off my device. Can't get any support. The app continually hAs a red banner at the top of the iPhone. Bad experience and a waste of money After letting it sit on the shelf for a year I decided to give it another try. It's still pure crap. The only thins that works on this app is the ability to spend more more money on add in apps that also don't work. Just an awful product

Works for me!. I bought this because I needed a way to take video of myself practicing my instrument. Hers my setup: I plug my instrument into iRig Stomp IO and play it through AmpliTube on iOS. Then, I use the Audiobus app to pipe AmpliTube audio into iRig Recorder. This allows me to record video in iRig Recorder with audio from AmpliTube. It works wonderfully.

Sick of the ads. I got this app by purchasing the mic. I bought all of the in-store items, but when I launch I still get pages of ads, so I always compensate when I am planning a recording because I know I have to wait for the ads to play out. Enough! I bought the extra features. I paid for the mic Stop cutting into my recordings with ads. How am I going to purchase further products from you if i know that they will simply be plagued with other ads. Great app when i can launch it without ads to things I have already purchased.

Problems recording / editing. So when I first got this app it allowed me to edit each recording but since the update, won’t allow you to do so. Why wouldn’t I want to do it all within the app? Well because they want you to pay 15$ for it on top of whatever you paid for their hardware. Also, whenever I record through the app, after an hour it cuts out & repeats the last 3 sec over & over. Not sure if anyone else has this problem but def didn’t happen prior to the update. 2 stars cause it was once 5

Hardware is great, app is terrible. After spending $120 for the iRig stream I expected more from the app. The fact that WAV export was an in-app purchase stung a little and the app is buggy, after a while the waveform display stops working as you're recording. Basically I record onto my phone then take the file to Audacity and work with it there as that's a real fully featured product for... Free!

Good recording but no file sharing. I've used this app to record dozens of interviews. At first it was difficult to download files to my laptop. Now it is completely impossible. Each option - wifi, email, etc. - is unavailable or does nothing. Other complaints online said similar things. The IP address for the wifi doesn't exist. The recordings are great, but f you need to save your files anywhere but on your phone, find another app.

Won’t play audio to AirPods, pay to export??. Please fix, the app will not play audio to AirPods. Why should I have to pay to export uncompressed .wav? Micro transactions when I have already bought device is ridiculous

Ok App. I'm using this app to do interviews in my multi-media class! Instead of having to buy a recorder as well as an external mic for excellent sound, this app is very handy in saving money as well as convenient! -- Downside: The ONLY way you can close out of the app is to play music(songs already on your phone, pandora, Jango, ect.), which for the longest I couldn't close the app(using up my battery) until I read one of the reviews on here. That's ridiculous! Please fix this problem!

still crashing - update- now fixed!. update: I deleted and reloaded, it worked for 2 weeks but now will not open again, if it wasn't for iPhone backup extractor, I would have lost all my files please fix this Latest version Won't open on iPhone 4, please fix it as this is my favorite recorder!!!

Buggy. This app is buggy at best of times. Does not switch off when you close it when you are not recording. Trying to send an email with your sound file causes it to crash. Dont even try to connect to it via wifi as the browser displays the html code instead of the webpage, tried two browsers to no avail. Regret purchasing the upgrades. Doubt i will get my money back. Ill go back to audiomemos, a much better app with more features and it works, Dissapointed.

The worst app I have ever used.. Almost nothing works in this app. Just sad.

Used to work now crash on open. I used this for many versions and it was great, once! Now it won't even open past the load page. iPhone 6s Plus seems after the last updates I've lost 100's of my bands recordings also ! Not happy!

Can’t even use it because the cables!. It’s ashamed that after we in Australia have to pay so much extra for your gear, the cables and ports on your devices constantly break, so I can’t even test the software.

Disappointing app. Fails to export in ipad 2. Promising but useless for me.

Doesn't Edit. I purchased the full package with all the editing things for $6.00 and they don't even work? It shows the download bar but It just never downloads. Waste of money.

Arrrgh!. Dont bother. The app doesn't work properly-after recording the 1st playback is ok but replaying it garbles -omits, repeats random parts of the recording, save yourself a lot of heartache and use the iPhone voice recorder

In-App Purchases cannot be restore. The In-App purchases cannot be restored after resetting my ipad. It was really frustrated !!!

Only good if you pay...and it still throws ads. Recording wise, this works well. But you do need to pay for the high quality recording (exporting as .WAV files) if you want this to be truly useful. I also paid for the iRig pre-amp to plug my XLR mic in, which works wonderfully. The big bummer, however, is that this app constantly throws ads at you. Even after spending $6 to buy everything, this app still wants me to spend money buying other IK multimedia apps. WHY??????

The field recording app I was looking for. Very complete and intuitive app. It's perfect for field recording, it's got all the controls you might need to capture the best possible recordings on your idevice + the interface is designed so that the app is super easy to use no matter if you are just starting out in field recording or if you are an experienced soundman.

Technical glitch!!!. Can't complain because its free, but if I had to rate it, I would give it a 1 out of 5. For some stupid reason, when I record a song, on the playback, there is a sort of mini skip here and there for no reason.

Effectively useless. I purchased the iRig pre HD and got a bonus upgrade. Even with the upgrade features, the app was useless. Couldn’t edit the wave or export a usable video with audio. Shame on the marketing people for this sham app and promotion. I won’t pay for a working version after this experience.

App Features. This app is poorly designed. It’s hard to navigate. Couldn’t figure out how to delete recordings. No feature search. No contact information. I have no idea where the information or files are stored. For new users it is a piece of junk.

Now working fine. Now that they seemed to have fixed the issue with searching and scrolling in the waveform this is great. It's the only recording app that I've used which can record my band practices without clipping thanks to the -15db setting. Also worth noting that I'm using the internal iPhone mic.

Useless. This app creates a file which cannot be played back! It will not create a recording as that word is defined... If you can't hear it it's not recording!

Terrible.. Just terrible. Makes me sorry I bought an iRig mic. Crashes when you try to do anything. No idea why you haven’t been able to improve this. Disappointing to say the least.

I’m not paying for this garbage. I get that you need to charge for some ‘extras’, I’m totally fine with in app purchases when they’re worthwhile but you guys are literally charging for everything. Really pathetic. This will be the last iRig related purchase I make, now you belong with avid and tascam on my do not purchase ever again list 🤌

Excellent app... Paired with iRig HD and my iPhone, I am able to take excellent audio and video recordings...

Very Nice!!. love it, many expanded features that rival the basic voice memo app on iphone. Love the mulit tasking, expanded export options.

Lame. If you are serious about recording anything, this app is not for you. The only acceptable inputs for this app are the built in microphone and IK multimedia's bullcrap iMic thing. It is not compatible with a mixer, for higher quality recording!

Not impressed. Unable to delete recordings... Your interface does not work as it's supposed to.

Horrible App - Avoid. I purchased this iRig microphone to record with my iPod Touch or iPad. The small stereo mic is great and thought I would purchase the software to go with it. What a mistake! Bad design. Every feature is apparently a "buy in" and despite buying the $7.99 suite of utilities, this program is hopelessly crippled with ads for other products they sell. What a shameful con! Do not make the same mistake I did!

Infernal Pop-ups. Beware! When you record sometimes intrudal pop-ups will freeze your work! Don't buy it.

IRig. Must pay to access own recordings. So many other ways to do this without iPhone. Oh, but voice memos ARE accessible.

Hot garbage. The app UI is archaic and difficult to use. If/when you do capture audio or video, it’s super low quality and hard to hear. Editing is completely non-intuitive. Just a terrible app and product.

Frustration. Got an iRig 2 and the iRig recorder app to record some videos for the band. I have an iPhone XR and shot some video at our last band practice. I have never been so frustrated trying to use an app, it will not export to Google Drive as “Google has not yet approved this app”. If you manage to get a file into iTunes, most players won’t play the file...I do lay some blame on Apple. They should either just make the app a “paid for app” cause the free features are useless. I tried to find support online and the best I could find was a couple videos and the blurb they have on their site about being able to export to Google Drive.

Crashes literally every time I make any edit. Not sure why there’s such terrible stability issues after 9 months from last update. Literally every time I modify or edit a track it crashes. Can this please be fixed? I’ve spent money on different features and would like to use them.

Oh the disapointment. For 3 reasons I was quit disappointed 1) a single e-mail results in about 10 gigantic messages in the inbox 2) files don't record right all the time, the time length of the recording shows but nothing recorded plays back 3) exporting: it takes long, it is not reliable. exporting via itunes damaged some recordings Oh and the App has seized to function on my device it is just frozen

Was this app ever fixed? Or the paid for version?. I hope I get an answer, almost went and paid for the paid app, but more negative reviews than good. Too bad really I’m looking for a good product to use but looks like this product falls short of that

App unopenable. I tried this app once and successfully recorded a podcast episode. After closing it before exporting the data I now cannot reopen it... The entire cast is stuck in it as a data file that I cannot retrieve. Can anyone help?

Constantly force closes.. Tried asking for a refund but they wouldn’t allow it. App kept closing and wouldn’t record or hold any info. Extremely outdated design too.

Greedy company with no customer support. Buy their product, then to utilize it they expect you to buy an app. Poor customer service and support, due to greed. Last iRig product I'll pay for, until they support those who give them a job. I hope a sales manager reads this, if you pay for a product the app for that product should be included!

Constant ads after paying? No audiopaste?. The app functions fine and has some decent processing features. But after paying $3.99 it blasts me with multiple pop-ups every time I open it. That is not cool. I need to transfer files to BossJock and it won't let me use Open In or Audiopaste. So unfortunately this app will be scrapped.

DO NOT UPDATE TO VERSION 3 if you record music. I had version 2 on an iPhone and was able to transfer it to iTunes. And then transfer it back to my iPad 4. this has saved me !!!! All the reasons stated above are VALID. I thought I would have to find a new recording APP

What happened?. This app used to work great! Suddenly know, when I try to record I get absolutely nothing. I thought I had recorded some things at a music conference, and when I went to listen to it there was nothing there. Very discouraged.

Buyer Beware. The worst app offered within the App Store for recording. They up charge you for features that crash the app once applied. REFUND MY MONEY!!! I work too hard for my money to be taken advantage of with your lack to support KNOWN issues with the APP!

The Best On The Market!!!. I don't rate many app but this one is awesome. The people giving bad reviews are either too ignorant to use this basic app or a troll. Irig is worth the MONEY and the irig mic is AWESOME!!! Thanks for the copy/paste update.

Bait and switch. I got the device at radio shack on sale, downloaded the app, and made several test recordings. Great. Until I tried to play back, and got a pop up that I need to purchase additional apps to make it work. Deleting, and taking imic back. Was interested in iRig for guitar, but not now. My rating is "Boooooo!"

Waiting for a 99¢ price drop. Wonder if anyone bought this app an how's the new update? --------------------------------------------- ...What I like about this app is the "low" - "ultra low" feature cause it quiet out the background noise by alot.

Used to be great. This used to be my favorite recording app, they updated it last year and removed almost everything I needed. You can no longer control mic input level, all the settings have been stripped down to a few simple things. Sad to see it go that way.

Several things don't work. Such as - using the internal mic - speeding up, slowing down, and changing pitch Also, no option for exporting recordings to other apps. No support e-mail address. Needs lots of work.

Don’t buy this. This app is so frustrating. You can’t even save the videos directly to your phone!!! What’s the point! I will just use my actual recording equipment at this point.

Why did you?. The email option to export is gone. What is going on guys? Im a musician starting out to record a dyi album with what little recording software I have. Consider the musician please.

DO NOT INSTALL. POC. Requires installation of expensive "in app" purchases to do anything. Not right when you pay for the hardware. Took over audio in my iPhone and now I cannot raise the audio level for the native "voice memo" app above a whisper. Will be returning hardware for refund. I imagine I will spend hours trying to get my audio back.

Bugs galore. This is crap software. Constantly crashes and screws up recording! Avoid it like the plague. The developers never update it and it’s terrible!

Horrible. It worked well for a little while, but then it stopped picking up from my iPods mic. I updated it, deleted it, reinstalled it, and still it won't work.

Worst than a Scam. I bought the iRig HD mic and in order to use it, you have to download their app(s). They charge you for the Apps and on top of that they have in store purchases for things like recoding and editing! Lol... The only thing worse than all of this is the lack of clarity. You get the mic, and there is no instruction on even what app to download! Waste of $125

Eh. The app is great and pretty inexpensive. But when I restored my phone and now need the serial number from the packaging, which I threw away, and no customer service, I'm regretting using this app, you can use the mic interface from your phones voice memo app.

Ok, but no 24bit 48k?!. Bought iRig Mic Field which has 48k/24bit support, but this app doesn't? I mistakenly though the app did and bought all in app purchases. Silly me, but silly IK Multimedia too. Why on earth no support for higher sample and bit rates, especially when your mic support it. Waste of money. Go with the free Rode app if you want higher sample and bit rates.

Crashed and can’t open the app.. I was recording my band and it suddenly crashed. I restarted my phone, and the app wont open. I fear I have lost all my previous recordings.

Not Very Intuitive. My first recording was 48 minutes of silence, even after export. 48 minutes of two people talking using the iPhone's built in mic. My second recording was my voice. 5 second test via headset mic. Played back once... Second time silence. File conversion take too long! I find it cumbersome that I can't export to Dropbox and or in general, as an .mp3 file.

Need Lanes. Needs to be able to put another lane on a track to play it simultaneously Ex. (Ad libs, voice overs, etc. going along with the recorded lyrics) Other than that great

No longer works with Audiobus on the new iOS update. Used to love this app for how convenient it was, but it no longer does what it says it does with th new update. I cannot record from amplitube to iRig recorder via Audiobus anymore

Perfect. Only for a musician and talented person who knows the app works great with a computer program like fl studios, garage band, and mix-craft

Lost everything. Your update did not say I would lose all of my songs. I'm also unable to do a signal input check before recording. That is also gone. I would've never updated if I new this. I truly regret updating. Horrible app.

It’s horrible. I’m not works when it wants to less than half the time, sometimes cuts off in the middle of a recording. Absolutely horrible. I do not recommend any of their products

Audiobus not working on iOS8. You should solve this issue in order to improve functionality of this application.

Works but annoying to use. Frustrating ads. Constant pop ups harassing you all the time. Don't bother.

Useless. The free app is non-functional. You can’t even trim a clip without buying the full version. I’m ready to drop money as soon as I find an app I like for editing podcasts but there is no way to find out if this is the app because you can’t actually try the product. It’s like showing someone a picture of food instead of letting them sample it.

Can’t access user manual. Apparently u can’t get the user manual until u create an account... a bunch of things don’t work like setting the input channel.. so giving up...

Great quality recording. Even without any attachment the app records great sound. It picks up well from a distance of a couple of feet, but really does a nice job closer in. Much better than the recording app that came with the iPhone.

Painfully Bad App/Crashing. This app is painfully bad. Every time I try to optimize volume it just crashes. What’s the point of editing if the app just crashes each time? Save your money, this thing is awful.

Doesn't work as advertised. I paid $4.99 for the full feature package only to find its an app riddled with bugs... Registration form doesn't work, editing portions don't respond in many cases, and export via email crashes the app... This is a warming... The app is free and there's a reason, if you spend your money you will be VERY disappointed.

Most of my Recordings keep repeating themselves. Could you guys fix any bugs that are on the iRig app. Could you make it more efficient where I can send all of my recordings to email so that I can transfer them to my computer Or transfer them by USB. Some Some add-ons are overpriced as hell

User. Beware of the update!!! I really liked the previous version but when I installed the update, I lost access to my recordings! That should not have happened. Also the functionality is not the same so I may use it with reservations. Very sad cuz I liked the previous version.

Crashed please fix!. The app doesn't work after the latest update, it crashes as soon as it opens. Yes I'm in the most recent version released on 3/1.

Ridiculously low volume. They set it to record at a ridiculously low volume in order to get you to register the app with them. I'm not surprised as this is typical IK Multimedia shenanigans. I am disappointed and annoyed nonetheless.

Irig recorder update. Ever since the new update hit my iPhone the application tries to open and then goes away. Not very happy about this considering I use this application often.

Crippleware. You really can't do anything with this app as editing/processing requires purchasing an add-on. And why do I have to signup on their website just to export my recording? Deleted. Booo!

Complete garbage. I bought iRig stream to record my Dj mix, but it wanted me to purchase a file when I want it to export so stupidly. I export the file to my MacBook, and you know what? It separated my audio and video, and the video is without sound—complete garbage. I'm returning this useless crap to the guitar center.

Broken. Everything that IK Multimedia makes is absolute garbage. Avoid off their products. Every single one is terrible quality whether it is hardware or software. More issues than functionality.

No more record volume setting. What happened to the record volume function? Having the ability to set the record volume is what made this app functional for recording live music. Now it's worthless. How can I downgrade to the previous version?

DO NOT USE THIS APP. Downloaded this app to record for my business after reading about it online. Long story short the app continues to crash and won't let me access my recording. All information was lost. Complete SCAM of an app. Would give it negative stars if I could and plan on reporting it to iTunes as a scam app. Don't waste your time!
