Good app, needs improvement with recurring bills. Generally this app is my go to for managing my expenses and tracking them in categories. However, when trying to use recurring expenses/bills it causes a lot of issues with entries being repeated. In particular, if I have to move a date the recurring item will be duplicated and it messes up my totals. Consequently, I must enter my items individually in order to maintain flexibility with my dates. This is a common issue for most apps so maybe not something that is easily solved programmatically.

Great for budgeting one month at a time!. I love this app! However, I would like to suggest to the app developers if they could add the ability to change budget amounts without affecting previous and future monthly budgets. For example...So far I’ve spent $80 for clothing in June. I had set a budget for clothing at $100 in June. Therefore, I’m still within my June budget. I wanted to work ahead and set a budget for July as well. I went to July and set a budget for clothing at $50. If I go back to my current June budget, it changes the budget from $100 to $50 and looks as if I went over my June budget, when I did not go over budget in June. Basically, you can’t work ahead and start the next monthly budget until the current month is completely finished. Otherwise, I would rate this app with 5 stars.

Gold that can go platinum!. Helps me keep an organized system to manage my own bills. There’s no other app like it. I thank all the developers on creating this project/app. Developers, if you guys would create some way to keep track of saving goals, this would be GOLD! Ex; I’d like to save $3,000 by March 25th 2020.. the app would automatically calculate how much to save per day, week or month. Which ever you’d prefer. This would allow you to keep your goal of saving for that vacation trip you’ve worked hard for or maybe those rims on your car you’ve been dreaming of. Just a thought guys, this would be the next level.

Almost perfect. It takes a couple weeks to get used to how it works but once u get the hang of it, easy to use. I find it useful for tracking my kids money. Instead of giving them cash, I hold it and keep track of what they spend or what we owe each other in separate accounts. Also use separate accounts for my and my husbands monthly fuel use, and our monthly "allowances" - it's like we have expense accounts. This is a nice way to track daily discretionary spending. We don't use bill pay or link to our actual accounts. Just needed an app to help us keep up with spending habits of four people with different pots of money, sort of like the envelope system- and this app does this. My complaints are lack of easy backup/restore. Could not get it to work with my iPhone so when I reset my iPhone recently I lost all my data on this app and I'm not sure how much was in each persons budget. Not happy. Would also like to sync with my husbands device so we can share same info.

Best app I’ve ever used for daily expenses. Hi! I want to say thank you to developers for such an amazing app. I am using that app over the four years. That app helped me to compare prices with my daily, monthly and yearly expenses. It also has a cashflow and net charts. They are helping me to adjust my future expenses and see the money flow over the months. Привет! Я хочу сказать спасибо разработчикам за такое клевое приложение. Я использую его более 4-х лет. It’s a good app. I’ve used this app for years on and off. I like the new update, it looks nice but one thing I don’t like is when I go to my bills, I’ve been trying to delete some of the bills that I don’t have anymore under due in 30 days and they won’t delete. It’s very annoying . I want to delete them so I can see how much my current bills are. I swipe the bill, it says delete just this bill or all future bills. I select either of the options and the bill still doesn’t disappear . It never did that before, it’s the new update. Besides that, I love it

Simple & easy to use, could use some improvements. Simple, colorful layout. Easy to use. Free. Needs some improvements to shine. You have to manually input data, which makes you be more aware about stuff & safer since I don’t have to link it to any of my accounts. But it also allows you to add a photo of your receipt, and diverse categories for expenses. One problem I’ve had with it is I didn’t receive a password reset email no matter how many times I tried, so it took me a while to find my password and access my account once. Some other improvements should include: - allow a way to retrieve previously removed accounts/information/history - I can’t see my own history or what information they have on me. Be more transparent of what and how our information is stored. - add a Mac or online feature to use on a computer - show a sample exported CSV budget report if you want us to purchase the premium version. I’m debating if I should buy the premium since I don’t know what the budget report export looks like, hence it it’s worth it. - my bills calendar reminders don’t work. Make sure reminders work, paying bills on time is important!

Best finance app out there. I’m usually not one to write reviews on apps, but I have to say this definitely helped me manage my finances. It’s simple to use, you can create categories and set monthly/weekly budget for each category! My only complaint is that when you set a budget to a monthly basis you can’t individually set another category to a weekly basis, for example. Other than that the app is great and really easy to use!

You have to do everything manually. I was under the impression I could sync my multiple accounts to this app and that it analyzed your accounts for savings it doesn’t do any of that - as far as I’m aware you can add multiple accounts like the ad shows- Were it shows Account on my app it just allows for manual transactions to be applied. I can’t find any where on that app that allows you to add or sync accounts from your banks. you’ll have to enter every transaction manually- I’m not sure who this would be good for but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone that wants to sync their accounts for ease and clarity. Or anyone that’s dyslexic Honestly I feel scammed

Another issue after latest update. My emailed to customer support a few minutes ago. “The iPhone correctly worked after the last update released for the app, but I have a new issue. The iPad was not syncing correctly with the iPhone app event though I have auto sync enable. I tried manually syncing and it did not work so I sign out in hopes to restore from the last saved cloud file and now neither of my devices has access to the app. It is now stating my account does not EXIST!!! I have included screen shots from previous conversations that clearly show I was a premium user and now my account is no longer available after I submit a complain for an issue? “

DO NOT USE THIS APP. If you log every expense & income transaction do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this app. First of all this app has way too many ads (in the free version), such as right when you open it you’re forced to watch an ad. And they’ve even added a banner ad in between the calendar and your transactions. But worse than that is the fact that this app deletes your data!! It doesn’t matter if you back up your phone either. There’s no way to transfer information back into the app. This app deleted ALL of 2018, so I decided I’d just manually put it back in (took 13 hours) just to find a couple of weeks later this app has deleted data again!!! Good luck getting the developers to respond as that takes SEVERAL emails, there’s no customer support number or chat, and once they finally respond they tell you that there’s nothing they can do. FYI Apple won’t be able to help with the data loss either since “it’s how the app developer makes the app”. This app shouldn’t even be allowed in the app store with how glitchy it is. So do yourself a huge favor and use a different app where hours of data doesn’t just disappear and you can actually get in contact with good customer service agents.

Want to love. I really want to love this app but it keeps changing and having problems that it has become a nuisance to use. It is constantly having issues syncing between mine and my husband’s phones, so much so that he finally deleted the app because it was so unreliable. In my opinion, the fact that you can’t choose which screen you want to be your auto screen is frustrating to have to press multiple buttons to get to the screen you need quickly. The most recent “bug fixes” have actually made things worse. Every time I add, edit, or look at a transaction, it scrolls back to the top, losing the place of what I was looking for so I have to spend a ton of time scrolling and searching. I’m disappointed that I paid for the premium version of this app and it has been so unreliable.

Better function after new design update. I thought developer already left the app, i’m using this app for few months now.. there are some function not smooth but i’m still using this all coz this is the most financial app that suit well.. costomable and it’s offline (doesn’t require you to log into your bank account) After design update, i love the app more.. not just because the design is neat but also the functions are better, smoother than before Note for developer: “please add more pro-feature.. i don’t really need export data feature, thanks”

Some expenses duplicate. So I’ve had this app for a couple of years and I’ve never had an issue with it until now. Last week I noticed that some of my expenses where duplicated, at first I thought maybe it was my mistake so I deleted the duplicates, but the next time I opened the app the duplicate expenses where back! I had an expense that duplicated 5 times and on different dates! I really really like this app but I can’t be validating that my expenses are correct every time. If this issue it’s not fixed I’ll have to look for another app :(

Good app but super annoying ads!. I paid for the premium version as I liked the interface of the app. However a year ago, there are more and more ads popping up, and they are super irritating because they appear just when I would be entering a new transaction. Every time you leave and re enter the app, ads appear, and some of these ads are like 30-60 seconds long. When you’re on the go trying to log in a purchase right after, you’re stuck waiting for the ad to finish. It is shocking to get these ads given that I’ve already paid for the app!

Good but needs some improvements. I have the pro version and I’ve been using for years and I love this app. That said there are still always things to improve. With the new update there is a lot to like but I wish the accounts button was on the left switched with the settings. Also I would prefer a button on the bottom right to go straight to accounts instead of having the bills icon as I rarely use it. Because I have investments I usually update the total value about every other day or so manually. I am fine doing it manually but the only way to do it is to change the beginning acct value. Otherwise I’d have to created incomes and expenses for the acct but would mess with my incomes/expenses due to it being a no cash change. Please make a function specific for investments to add appreciation or depreciation so that I can have a continuous and accurate net worth over time without affecting income/expense. I would also like to add when you do updates it sometimes messes up my acct values and idk why. Maybe it’s some way I imputed transactions years ago. Can you also add a category called Account Reconciliation. Also please correct the issue when entering transactions it is in lowercase

Excellent For Tracking Tips And Monthly Pay. Perfect app for someone who has a job getting paid in tips. I’ve tried Mint, Good-budget, and so many other high profile apps - this one fits me perfectly. I wish it connected to your bank accounts as well, but I understand the limitations. Because you have to punch in every income/expense you get, it helps someone who spends a little too freely. The graphing and charts detailing the flow of your money are also a big plus - very clear and aesthetically pleasing! Thank you!

Love it!!! Money Management Made Easy. So handy and easy to use. Track your daily weekly monthly spending, set a budget, plan ahead for bills. Nice variety of icons and easy editing. I love the Calendar, Category and Chart features. Makes it easy to see when and where you may be over-spending. The new Split feature lets you assign multiple categories per entry—and even includes a built-in calculator!! Overall, sleek simple design with tons of great features. Watch your money go or grow! Two thumbs up. PLEASE MAKE A VERSION FOR MACS.

iPad version of this app wiped all my transactions. I have been using this app for several years now. The iPhone version has always worked very well for me. While the iPhone version being nice I wanted to use my iPad to see the reports with the bigger screen. It was always buggy. Not syncing correctly with the phone. I tried to sync and delete the transactions on the iPad that didn’t belong and sync it back with my phone. In doing this the phone synced with the iPad deleting every single transaction that I had in this app. So now I have no transactions recorded. The iPad version still will not correctly sync with nothing. Saying that there are category spends on random dates with there being no transactions. Even though I paid for premium it still shows ads on my iPad. Also there is no way of backing up that I can find. Very disappointed with this whole experience and sync function. But Again the iPhone version was very helpful. And will continue to use it even after this mishap.

Great app with great features. This app does so much and it gives me the flexibility to work my budget the way that I want to with the ability to connect via multiple devices, the ability to set up tons of individual accounts, the ability to track expenses, income, and even returns, and export the data to Excel (after paying for the upgrade which is worth it for that feature). I tried many budget apps that never really gave me the flexibility I wanted for my zero sum budgeting practices before I found pocket expense, which gave me enough I could work with. The only downside is that there is no desktop version of the app that I can access via my laptop, which would be very helpful if there was one.

what I am looking for .... finally.... I have been on Mobills for the past year but it was hard to use so I decided to give pocket expense a try and I love it. It is really easy to use and overall it is very nice. But I think there is room for improvement. it would be nice if I could add subtract from existing amount using the calculator without the need to rewrite the whole thing and some bugs on ipad version that need to be fixed (real time sync).

Great app use it every day. Great budgeting app. I like how simple and easy to use it is. Interface is very clean and works as well as one could hope. Only thing I would like is the ability to switch between currencies from day to day. There is currently an option to change the currency in settings, but it applies it to all expense entries. Also, the free version has a lot of ads, as to be expected. I’ve been using the free version for years now but the paid version might be worth it.

Love it, but.... This App is fabulous. The only thing I would love to see a change to is when paying a bill. I use this app to track all of my credit card debt and bills. I wish you wouldn’t make it a requirement to choose a “from” account when paying a bill. I am more or less using this app as a tracker more than a literal Checkbook. I’ve got all of my Credit cards listed with the amount owed under accounts to give me a grand total for how much debt I currently have, and all of my bills listed. When I am required to put a from account, I have to put a fake account just to pay the bill. Which throws off my debt totals. It’s a weird request, but it would make it a cleaner experience for people using the app the way I do. Otherwise. It is absolutely stunning, and a breeze to you. I love it!

Good but still issue syncing with iPad. I’ve been using Pocket Expense (on my phone) for years but just recently decided to install on my ipad as I don’t want to keep reaching for my phone when I’m at home. It reflects same username/password but when attempting to sync between the two (mostly to sync transactions documented on my phone app to my ipad is not working and has not work since I installed the app on my ipad 1.5 months ago. Please get this corrected. Why have a feature to sync between apps but it doesn’t work. To add, there was some change because as of now, all the account I’ve created have either been deleted, zero’d out or amounts have simply been changed. Lastly, the app on my ipad and iphone is not reflected I’ve purchased the premium. I have to do “restore purchases” every time I reopen app. Seems all these issues started once I purchased the premium (unlimited plan) Therefore until issues are fixed I’m giving this app 1 star...smh (Yes I’d sent an email as well. No reply as of uet)

Great! But.... Something off with categories. I deleted their defaults to put in my own and the next day they came back. Then when I when I went to delete their default categories again, any category named the same that I created got removed together. Also if I try to add sub-categories, it gives me an error saying “that category already exists”. I’ve used previous app versions of this app and this is the first one that has this category issue, but at least they resolved the syncing issue found in all previous versions. It’s almost perfect, but please fix categories! I have entries missing now because I was trying to delete the defaults and I have no confidence if those default categories will just pop back up on their own... also I paid for premium lifetime so again surprised to see this kind of bugginess on such a major feature.

Some annoying bugs. I give this a 3 due to the bugs. It has every feature I need. I can’t find any other app where I can easily track tips in cash and regular income from our jobs. Every other app is unable to easily allow you to create a cash account and transfer between accounts. My main issue is when I make a change and then close the app, when I come back the change returned. For example I’d delete a transaction or remove an unnecessary category. When I return to the app, whatever I deleted is back so my balances are off. Honestly defeats the purpose of the app. I also have trouble syncing between the iPad and iPhone apps. I can’t explain how bad that is. It never syncs basically. Or when it does sync correctly it takes a day maybe. My 3 rating is probably too generous. 5 stars if these bugs weren’t present.

Good if you never want to update it. Updating / downgrading my rating. This app does just what I want it to do until an update comes along. Twice now, after an update, my data is all messed up. The first time around I ended up with a bunch of “overdue” bills (that weren’t actually overdue) and weren’t reflected in the account from which they were paid. This time, probably 15 transactions are missing between accounts- however, the ending balance WITH the transactions is reflected in one of the accounts. Essentially impossible to fix it you’re concerned with accurate data. This is probably due to some kind of sync issue, but ideally I don’t really have to think about that.

Pocket Expense. I really like this app. I opted for the premium version and it’s been a great tracker for all of my accounts. The only problem I’m having is that I can’t get in touch with the creators anymore for some reason. They haven’t been answering my emails. I need a way to skip a payment on a bill sometimes, instead of deleting it for the month and having the entire series disappear and I need a way to add more icons. There just aren’t enough to cover today’s kind of expenses and I’m tired of putting stars for everything that doesn’t have an appropriate icon.

So useful!. I’m switching from the envelope system because I buy things online and it was hard to keep everything straight with cash and a card but this is the perfect solution! So far I love it! I wish they would let me customize one or two of the categories for spending though like making a category for haircuts, but I was able to use Misc. or others so it worked out alright. Not a big deal. Great app!

Game-changer for financial awareness. I’ve been using this app for 5+ years and it’s had an incredible impact on my financial health. The act of manually entering every dollar has made me extremely mindful of my spending. Certainly there are a few things that could be improved. I no longer have the email that my account is registered with - it would be nice if I could add a new email. Although it sounds like there’s no password recovery anyway. My biggest fear is losing my data, so much that I hesitate to upgrade to the paid version. The ads are annoying but I live with them because this app has changed my life! I’m a big personal finance nerd and this is my go-to recommendation for payment tracking.

Love it !!. I use this app specifically because there is no online app that tracks your cash :) (Wells Fargo app etc) I can easily see all my accounts , transfer between accounts, remind me of bills I need to pay so when someone asks me to do something or I want to buy something I can easily look in one place and make a decision based on my finances. I enter in everything I do with my money and then compare them to my bank statements ! Double check yourself !!! I got the premium because I hate adds and I use the app everyday so $20 didn’t seem like a lot

Almost too buggy to use. I really regret paying for the pro version a few months back. I love the premise of this app; in theory it’s simple to set up and use, and I like that it doesn’t have to be linked to a bank account or credit card. But I keep running into one glitch after another, each one degrading the app’s functionality a little more and making it a little less effortless. And I don’t know about you, but I’m way less likely to responsibly track my spending if it’s not effortless. Definitely won’t be renewing my subscription, and I just wish I hadn’t sprung for the annual.

Now it’s only good if it’s paid.. This use to be a great expense app until they made most of the features paid-only. I was JUST running 6 accounts. I deleted them to start over and revamp. Not only did it not let me rename my account the same name because “one already has that name” even after I deleted them all and force closed the app... but after I input the first one account, I get an advertisement to pay to add more than ONE account. This is the second time that I’ve had a bad go with this app—the first being when it completely deleted all my data after two months of entry and I was never able to retrieve it. Definitely won’t be giving another chance to it.

Changed My Life. I’ve been using pocket expense for a couple of years now. When I first started, I had a long road ahead of me to get my finances in check and to be more aware of where I stood. This app made me always aware of the money I have in my account at all times, what I could afford and making sure my bills were paid on time. To a lot of people, it seems like overkill, but it has changed my life and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon!

Good App But - Update 3-1-19. Still no contact from developer on issue. I just went ahead and deleted the buggy app. Update 2-6-19* Had a couple of issues with after a expense entry it didn’t subtract the correct amount. I did email developer but have never heard anything back. The app does what it said it does. Once you get familiar with it it okay. The only down side is there is not bill reminder section that you can check off when you pay a bill. It has a bill section but not a bill you can check off when you pay you bill. The one this one has adds your bill to your day it's due and subtracts it from your app account even if you paid it early. Now it has taken it out two times and your balance is now off from your online account. I did send them a email asking if they were going to add a bill check off section and they quickly replied "no" and did state the have no intensions on doing it.

Surprisingly good. The features are simple. Not too complex in setting up. You can add budgets and customize some of it. So far so good and much of what it does is what I am looking for in an app. It’s a good start and not an expensive subscription like all the others. The sync function is very good and I get immediately synced between the phone & iPad at this point which is extremely important since I use both devices interchangeably.

Unreliable. This app isn’t reliable. I just got this app a couple weeks ago, and paid for a month of premium to try all the feature. From the beginning, the sync showed signs of bugs by not syncing deleted transactions across devices, but would sync entry transactions very quickly. However, in the last few days, syncing has stopped working altogether. My phone shows it was last synced 2 days ago, and my wife’s hasn’t synced since yesterday. Deleting a transaction in general doesn’t work. Syncing aside, a deleted transaction keeps reappearing. I had to work around it by just using the entry for a new transaction and update the payee, date and amount. I found another bug with the budget categories. For some reason, a couple categories disappeared when trying to split a transaction between categories. If not splitting, I can select the categories, but as soon as I go to split, I don’t see a couple of them as options. What’s more weird is it doesn’t happen on my wife’s phone, and it originally worked fine on mine. The UI is super clean and well designed, and conceptually, a nice app. BUT, if you can’t rely on simple things like being able to delete a transaction and sync between devices, it’s useless. I hope the developer, who I’ve reached out to, but haven’t heard from, gets this worked out, but unfortunately I have to move on and find something better. So much potential, so much failure.

Keeps crashing and losing all my data; no response from customer service! 😤. I’ve had this app (and Appxy’s Pocket Expense Pro before it) for a few years now. I kept using it (despite multiple crashes and losses of what was supposed to be automatically-synced data) because it was an uncomplicated budget app — color-coded, no difficult math involved, easy-to-read charts, etc. However, I'm at the point where even the simplicity of its tracking system isn’t worth it anymore. I’ve contacted customer service for help at least three times with no response. DO NOT DOWNLOAD unless you’re willing to put up with this app randomly shutting down and losing hundreds of reported transactions every couple of months!!!

Great app with a serious flaw. I am a developer and tried all the popular expense trackers and found Pocket Expense to be the clearest and simplest to use. It has no links to bank accounts which is what I want, a simple way to track our expenses. At first it was syncing between my wife’s phone and mine, then it stopped. Support told me to use the Restore Data function which works on her phone and not mine. I only get “server not found” errors. Many requests for support and no answer. I paid for a lifetime account up front. They really really need to work out the syncing issues between devices either the same account. I see many bad reviews about this issue and no fix. So make this app free or fix the sync problem please. Wait! Ok so a new update just happened and miraculously everything is syncing between phones. Hopefully it will stick this time so will say that if syncing continues this is the best expense app tracker with or without account linking.

Love the new interface. **Updated** Just found out the amount of my all accounts got messed up again, and this time all my past year’s records including names of merchants and, for one of accounts, all histories are just gone. I don’t know where to start at this point. Can you fix the bug as soon as possible? Hope this app gets more stable and reliable this new year and onwards.. thanks for your endeavors. ——— **Updated** With the recent update, my issue regarding inaccurate amount of $$ shown on the Accounts has gone. Thanks for the fix! I like the new interface as well. ——— I've used this app since 2012 if I remember correctly. Since then, as the app has been updated from time to time, I've grown to like it more and more and now it has even cuter looks. I like the pastel-colored design. It looks simple, modern, and soft. The new chart feature is another plus. (My fave is change in Account feature.) So far, I have no complaints! Thanks guys, keep up the good work please!

This is a fantastic app! High five!. Out of all of the apps I’ve tried this one has taken the cake. It has a simple layout with the basic colors to customize your different accounts as you can have multiple. Alongside transaction categories and the reconciliation feature, you just can’t be disorganized! Plus, you can take pictures of your receipts and attach it to individual transactions whether you're in the app entering a transaction or taking the picture and saving to enter later. (I’m seriously amazed by this). You can also create your budget, overview your finances on a chart, and enter recurring expenses ALL IN THE SAME APP!

Even Better But Buggy. I do like the new design for the most part. I would like a more robust camera feature. Specifically I would like to be able to crop photos like you can do in BusinessXpenseTracker. I usually take receipt photos with my iPhone camera and crop them and then bring them into this app, which is a big hassle and waste of time. The Split still doesn’t work well. Before, if you saved the component expense records and then opened the entry again you lost your Split categories and had to enter them again. Now I can’t even figure out how to use Split. I still dislike having to go hunting among all those category icons for the one I want to associate with a particular expense. The old system was MUCH faster. Luckily the commonly used categories pop up for each frequent vendor. I use this app many times a day and I prefer it over in the others I have tried. (At least since wonderful Budget Master was lost to the world when the last Palm Pilot died.)

Nice UI, shady business model. Re-downloaded the app since it recently got updated. I had stopped using this app when version 5 came out and required a login. That’s when it deleted 2 years worth of my financial tracking data, and I gave up on customer support. I saw the new update and decided to give it another a try. The UI is very clean, but not very intuitive. Adding an account is harder than it should be. The “default account” can’t be deleted. You cannot create subcategories like before. I feel as though this version traded user friendliness of the previous version for a neat looking UI. Not too impressed. On another note, I purchased the “Pro” version on the pre updated version from an in app purchase long ago, and there is no way to restore it on this version. The developers never responded to my email and I refused to pay for it again in the App Store. On top of that, all of the hundreds of reviews for all the previous versions were deleted, leaving only recent reviews. If this doesn’t seem shady, I don’t know what is. Has great features, but has gone downhill but customer support is an absolute joke.

Almost the perfect Expense Tracker. I have tried many digital expense trackers in my life to help me to better budget and manage my personal and household expenses. The reason I love this app is that even though it’s a digital tool, you have to manually input your accounts, bills, transactions, etc. I know many people look for automatic updating, manual inputs for me keeps me tied in to the app on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. That allows me to stay truly up to date on where I am with my finances. Two updates that I think would be great for this app would be for credit cards and loans. 1) If we are able to input the credit limits and interest rates for credit cards so that we can view not only our outstanding balance, but also our outstanding credit limit 2) Interest rates and types: If there was a place to input the loan terms and interest rates for fixed loans so that the amortization schedule could be generate or interest rates for credit cards so that when me log in payments for them, the fixed loans can accurately decrease the principle amount and with credit cards, we can log in interest charges based on the outstanding balance I know that’s easier said than done, but I think those two things would clearly set this app apart from the others. Great App!!!!

Review. I tried other budget programs.....Microsoft, Quicken, Mint....for me, this is by far the easiest. I can create categories and subcategories, delete the pre-filled categories I do not need. I can create recurring payments on a calendar to remind me of upcoming payments. I can add accounts easily. I can also do a budget for however many months in advance I need to in order to predict my future cash flow and expenses. I have within each item enter into the bank account to record notes such as balance left. I like that you can use a password or fingerprint to get into it so no one can just open the program and view your financial status. My only real issue is that when you add accounts, it only allows for a certain number to be added and to be able to view in the column. I have yet to figure out how to be able to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list to chose as it has not let me so far. But that is minor to me. I like that I can view a graph of just where my biggest spending is going and adjust accordingly. Overall, I have been using this program steadily for four years now and have decided to not change to a different program. Plus, upgrading cost very little and it was well worth it to get all the features. Definitely recommend this for anyone who want less complications for maintaining financial situation.

Was all good until..... I upgraded to a new iPhone over the weekend and downloaded the app onto it. I was surprised that my transactions copied over, that was a plus! But now every time I switch out of the app or open it it plays an ad, and half the time freezes so I have to force close and reopen it, which plays another add. I understand in using the free version, but before I upgraded I only got 2 ads a day max, and they didn’t freeze the app. I also realize the app hasn’t been updated in over a year, so it may be time to move on 😂

password flaw. The app gives you one chance at a password, you type in your email address and a password at what looks like a sign in page, you push the sign up button and then your account is made. If you happened to mess up on your password though, there is no second chance at typing it again to make sure you have your password correct. Once I was in the app there was no easy way there to change the password. I signed out in hopes for a forgotten password link on the sign in page, unfortunately I have pressed said link a number of times and have still not received a email to reset my password. Cannot create a new account because my email is locked in with the other account.

Bug fix may be needed. Great app. Started using after my iReconcile app was no longer being updated and became incompatible with my phone. I would like for it to show the reconciled balance to make reconciling quicker when on the go. Also noticed in the last couple month that there have been glitches. I had to delete the app and redone load a couple times because it was duplicating transactions causing serious issues when trying to reconcile and establish my exact balance. Now the new glitch is that I can’t get it to open some days without rebooting my phone which doesn’t always fix it. I select the app and it’ll act like it is going to open but then disappear. It’ll show in the background but again when selected it flashes and disappears. I can’t seem to find a support option to report the problem so my hope is that this review is seen and problem it corrected. I did pay for the year subscription so I would like to continue to use this app.

Keeping track. Update: having trouble syncing to a new device. Takes forever, times out, and then no expenses are on the new device. I sent a help email too, but this is really annoying. I started using this app almost 2 years ago. I didn’t really know where I was spending my money. With the knowledge I had I was able to understand the possibilities of what I could and couldn’t buy and where I could cut. With this info I could clearly talk to my accountant and my bank and I saw that I was able to buy an apartment... in Paris. I’m still using this app after knowing. After buying. After renovation. I still want to know. And when I travel it is fun to see my savings. When I travel with friends they can clearly pay me back what they owe and I can pay them. It’s a great monitor. But I’m switching to another app because I couldn’t transfer everything to my new phone. Very disappointing. This was my best friend. Now we have to break up.

Perfect for learning how to adult. This app is super organized and easy to use! It helps me keep track of how much I earn and since it puts categories on expenses like “groceries, eating out, health” you know exactly where your money goes and on what day. This helps you identify where to cut expenses, when to treat yourself and so on. I definitely recommend it for people who are living by themselves for the first time or if you’re in college trying to budget.

Daily personal accounts. I had tried every other free app but this one is really good for what they list and give you many options. I can add and do daily accounts. It's handy too.

Fairly happy. This program is great for my booking records. Couple of Complaints I have from old update not sure if ha e been fixed in new upgrade. My actual balance and what showing in the account over view vary. If you close an account and don’t want to delete it you are unable to make it inactive or hide the account. The budget function is not easy to understand or use Do find it double ups on suppliers instead of recognising they are the same place Will keep using 😊

Perfect Mobile Expense Tracker. I’ve been looking for a good expense tracker for a long time and tried this app for about a month. It is very easy to use and does what it promises and am very impressed with the functionality available within this small app. Decided to purchase full license. Worth it. When every cent spent is tracked as a family it was amazing to see how much money is wasted on miscellaneous items. I would recommend this app for anyone wanting to track their expenses. You’ll sure be amazed.

Data gone. Been using this app for almost 4 years now, like how nice and easy it is for me. However, recently I bought iphone15 and realized after login to the same account, it only sync the data up until may 2021. For some reason I can’t sync the data for the pass 1 and half years. Emailed them and still haven’t get any respond. If I can’t fix this problem I will have to look for other apps.

Helpful. Been using this for over a year! Really helpful. I can keep track of my expenses and remember what I spent my money on! Keeps me from overspending.

Very good but don’t expect updates. I’ve been using this app for 9 years and it is really good! But… I’ve already sent them some emails talking about bugs in the app and they never replied or fixed those things. One thing that really annoys me is that the search bar just find entries from the the last 2 years only. If you wanna find something older than this you have to search manually.

Excellent app.. Use it all the time. User friendly interface - probably the best I’ve tried. A couple of things it needs, though: 1) there is no way to export a csv list of transactions with the file names of receipts so you can send a list of transactions with receipts to someone else. It would even help if you could email all receipts from a list of transactions at once, but it only lets you do one at a time. 2) Not easy to delete lots of old transactions at once (e.g. all transactions before 2015, or select multiple ones then delete) so it gets big after a while of use. 3) Cannot choose different currencies for individual purchases. 4) Cannot attach anything other than photos (so you can’t attach a PDF receipt, for example). Still, despite these shortfalls, it’s very nice to use.

Great app but no support. I have been using pocket expense for more than 5years and have been depenedent on it since. Last November, I have changed/upgraded my phone and have been getting difficulty to retrieve my 5++years transactional data. I have been trying contact their support but to no avail. This app is superb, but if you contact support, its really challenging to get help

Cant find backup and restore on this app. I was trying to sync between my iphones but it is not accurate I cannot even find “backup and restore” menu and “Go to setting then support” it says but Where the hell is “support” on this app??? Great update!. Very happy with the new update and the new look of the app. It is more user friendly. They have fixed the syncing issue that is a massive deal in my opinion as you can keep a record of your expenses. The graphic looks much better, but still can be more legible by using the right colour swatches and strokes.

Works well. Like both the ipad and iphone versions. like the calendar and accounts view for easy access to transactions. Would like it if the application can share the same categories for expenses and income, which would be useful in the event that a shopping item in a particular category was returned, like clothing. Would be also really really really excellent if there was a Mac OSX version of the app.

Do not get unless you want all your data lost. I had been using this app for 2 years when I upgraded my phone, after logging in to the app on my new phone, I found all my data for the whole year lost! A whole year of saving and spending data gone. I can’t believe that this could happen! Will never ever use this app again!

Contact email has disappeared. Hi, I’ve tried to get through to you a number of ways but I am having trouble being able to export data as it says that I don’t have an email account set up even though I have logged in with my email address. Great app with some frustration. Real easy to use. Functional and layout great. Some bugs though. Has option to have repeating expenses, but does not work so have to enter monthly reoccurring payments each month.

Simple and effective tool. I had downloaded this App, not expecting too much. However the tool was so easy to use and enabled me to keep track of my expenses. A multi currency function would be nice since I have bank accounts in 3 different countries

App does not let me login or sign up. This upgrade has locked me out of the app - I cannot login anymore or even sign up a new account!!!!

Hard to say.... Really like the app but am nervous now using it after I lost all my income data. A problem that seems to have happened to many. Now I have to enter data in many locations to keep a backup which takes away from using the app. Turn Off Auto Back Up if you don’t want to lose data. Had my account not auto saved I would have recovered the income data. App developer said they were looking into it but haven’t heard from them since the issue occurred.

Great budgeting app!. This is a great app for your week to week budgeting needs! Easy to use and can be put on multiple devices so my partner and I can both use the same account.

Should be able to choose what date your month starts. I really like this app, but it’s near impossible for me to adequately plan or budget because I get paid on the 15th of each month. Planning weekly limits just doesn’t allow accurate tracking

Too many adds.. i prefer the last version. Last version is not so catchy look, but easier to use and more helpful. This version is cute, but not really as helpful as before.

Fantastic app for tracking expenses, just wish it had a fortnightly cycle option!. This app is exactly what I need. Expenses are added manually and it remembers the venue and category for next time, which I find extremely useful. I can transfer balances across accounts, schedule incomes etc. The only issue I have which is stopping it being 5 stars is that I would love a fortnightly pay and budget cycle, starting on a Thursday, with tracking of expenses over the pay cycle. I am already a lifetime premium user and this was money well spent. If it had this it would be 100% perfect for my purposes! Otherwise, thank you for creating such a helpful app!

Great little app. Like the interface. Very intuitive. Great that I can now sync between phone and iPad. Only feature missing is that budgets don't seem to roll over. I can't find this on settings. Now the app is useless. Tried to get it going on my new iPad and in the process of syncing, signing in and out, have lost all the income transactions over the last 18 months. Can’t seem to find any way of recovering them. It is bizarre as all the expense transactions are still there and accurate - but of course all the balances are wrong and the app is no use any more as a budget tool. Have sent feedback and received no helpful reply at all. So don’t use it any more. May be ok if you start again from scratch.

Frustrated. I enjoy the app but can’t get it to sync to my other device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still won’t sync. I would be 100% happy with it if it would sync. I have paid for the app and disappointed it didn’t sync and will have to now ask for a refund and try another app.

Premiums account doesn’t sync across devices. I subscribed premiums account for one year but the data input on my iPad didn’t sync to my other device. And the sync button keeps circling and never stopped. Amir. Thanks for new version, One of the problems on this app is photos. When I take pictures from my receipts directly with phone cam, it should be add automatically to my photo gallery as well. I lost all of my evidence photos in the app when I deleted my main account by mistake and when I try to refill my bank data again , all of photos has been deleted by account as well . But I haven’t had backup from my data as well. Thanks

Great to keep track of money while on holidays. I found is app really helpful to keep track of my spending while on my recent holiday. I was able to quickly see where all my money was spent, e.g. Dining, gifts, tours (entertainment), travel (train, taxi, bus). I would suggest to add the capability to use different currencies per account and the possibility to add your own categories. Like other reviewers, I agree to add the ability to sync with other devices and delete incorrect transactions.

Not satisfied. Hi I paid $30 for this application. I am a little disappointed that I paid for premium and I’ve noticed that I continually need to restore my purchase. In the budget section, when I try and delete a mistake it doesn’t delete. This is seriously annoying. Can these problems be fixed. Otherwise, I’d like a refund.

All in one. You can have an overview of all your banks’ money without connecting your banks. You just simply add debit card or savings to this app and put the initial amount. Aside from that, while recording your expenses, it has an option to choose which bank card you used. I hope it has an asset and liabilities feature too!

Fantastic for budgeting but the ads!!!... I have been using this app for a couple of years now and find it works pretty well for my purpose of managing household budgets. Every now and then it might glitch where I find my account balances are out and it’s difficult to work out how far back the glitch occurred. Recently however, the ads are getting out of control where two ads will pop up each time I use the app. It’s really frustrating especially when you are flicking between bank accounts and this app and you’re forever clicking out ads. Please fix this up!!! 🙏🙏🙏

Long Term User. I’ve had the app on my iPad for years, with the premium/ad-free option just recently I added it to my iPhone and had to get used to a difference in layout but I’ve gotten used to it now. It retrieved my accounts and bills immediately with no problem. I was getting ads though these past months on iPad and then on my phone but I emailed support today, heard back very quickly and restored my premium status. I like this app very much and use it every day (quite a few times if I shop lol)

Long time user. I’ve been using this app for years and even bought the premium add on. For some reason, even though auto sync is on, all my accounts went out of whack and i reconcile my expenses weekly so I’m not too sure what happened

Crashing. I have the premium version of this app and it keeps giving me ads and after the ad is over the app freezes so I have to restart it. I just had to restart it 5 times, it would give an ad then freeze, reatart, ad, freeze etc. I am looking for a new app.

No customer service - Do not buy unless you can live with list data -. I had the app for more than 2 years. Used daily. One day, I open the app and I have to log in. I do so , does not work. I asked to get the link to change my password. Never received it. I put the email in my whitelist and VIP, nothing to do: I do not receive the reset password email. Tried to get help, no answer. No customer service! It’s great until you have a problem! No assistance and for me, it means lost of my data of the past 2 years !!

Can’t log in anymore. I’m guessing an update was done and it’s glitching. It’s not my phone IOS bc it’s not old, it’s an iPhone 11 Pro. The option to sign back in has me going in a loop and won’t let me in. There isn’t any customer service email option visible.

Very Frustrated. Purchased this app a few years ago and was really enjoying it until I bought a new device and now I can’t get into the app even tho I am using the correct sign in info. There is no option for forgot your password and when I emailed them it took forever to get a response and then their suggestion did not work either. Very disappointed…..especially since I forked out money for the pro version.

No Sync. I been using various versions of this program for years. In the last month I’ve noticed sync issues between the apps on my iPad and iPhone. The app sometimes won’t let you delete an entry; it just syncs and shows up again. Also, the versions on my iPad and iPhone aren’t syncing. I bought premium access, but if this isn’t fixed, I’ll cancel the subscription.

Old data. How to erase them ?

I like this app. It shows a Calendar with what’s coming out and in. I would like for the net worth to only calculate up to the date not the forecasted net worth. I would like to keep track of my negative credit card payment in my accounts, but be able to budget for it as well - in other words the transfer function being able to be linked to a category. Those are the only changes I’d make and i would like to see. If That is a current feature please contact me as I don’t know how to figure it out. Thanks!

Not happy anymore.. I used to really like this app but not anymore. I had multiple accounts and I could keep track of all my accounts, now I have to pay to add more than one account! It won't let me access things I previously had access to. Needless to say, I will uninstall the app.

Bad updates. I used to love this app but the last two updates have been awful. I haven’t been able to log in for the last 3 weeks and now when I log in ALL of my data and history has been deleted.

If you haven’t updated for awhile; don’t. Unless you have everything backed up.. I loved (emphasis on past tense) this app, using the free version for a few years, it did everything I was looking for to track my finances. A while back I was going to update it but read some comments that accounts were disappearing after updating. It was working fine so I thought why risk it? Not long ago my iPhone had to be reset so all my apps were deleted then reloaded, which meant my Pocket Expense was now updated. I opened the app, it asked me to sign in, I entered my info … and it didn’t work. And there is no account to be found under my email address. Sure enough, my account disappeared and with it a few years worth of meticulous daily record keeping. Beyond frustrating. (Foolish me for not having back up records) I contacted their customer support more than once … NEVER heard from them. Absolutely. Useless. I gave as high as 2 stars (vs just 1) because when it was working, I really did like it.

Can’t Delete Transactions. Once you have added a transaction, it’s impossible to delete. My account balances are always wrong because it keep re-adding deleted transactions to my overall balance without telling me. I’ve paid for the pro version and been a long time user and there appears to be no fix. DO NOT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR MONEY

Lifetime option may be a scam. I paid for the lifetime premium, which promised a few extra features including widgets, however nothing changed. I also reached out to support and got no answer. They took my money but didn’t offer anything extra. BE CAREFUL!!!

App hangs after the ads. Lately too many ads. I have used the paid version but monthly option is very costly.. i dont mind ads. But the app crashes and hangs after a ad is finished. Very irritating

I like it and it’s great for free. But the syncing doesn’t work well between devices for some reason. I use this every day - tracks everything I need. Easy to use. I should buy it cos the ads are annoying.

Love It. Been using this app for years now. Really appreciate that it’s a one time payment instead of a subscription. There are a few minor UX annoyances. Would be nice to be able to edit default categories for payees more easily for example. Overall though, it’s great. Reccomend.

Intrusive ad in the free version. The pop up on launch is too much to handle. I needed to test whether this app meets my need and my lifestyle but after switching back to the app to test for a few times the full screen ad that shows up every single time I launch the app is just overly intrusive in my opinion. I know it’s fast money but maybe try something less intrusive to improve the overall experience of free users so they can test run your app more peacefully and consider an upgrade?

Good app but won’t sync. Frustrated with app support.. I really like the features of Pocket Expense app - easy to enter transactions and to maintain a budget. Charts and calendars are very useful for tracking expenditures and income. Overall the app is comprehensive, logical and uncomplicated. However the app suddenly stopped syncing between my iPhone and lPad. After several email interactions with Expense support, they stopped responding and problem remains unsolved.

Total rip off. Update to my following review: OCT/2018: The app developer is sure a crooked company, whom purposely removed WiFi backup feature (between devices) couple of months ago, so they can offer it couple of months later (now, OCT/2018) for $7.99 life time!!. I wonder why apple does not take a disciplinary action on this crooked company! Previous upgrade/review: This app is totally messed up and syncing brings different results on iPad & iPhone. The more they upgrade the more they mess it up. Nonetheless this app company has charged users like me twice (2 X $4.99) for the excuse of Dropbox back up in the past, and I guess Dropbox dropped this faked company as well!

Almost perfect. I’ve purchased the subscription and have been enjoyed the awesome features of this app ever since. But I have a big problem, what if I miss some expense and the balance on the app is different from what is really on my account. How should I change it. By edit the amount in account page will affect the balance incorrectly, which is a bit annoying. Otherwise, it’s a good app.

Beautiful App, but lacks Budget Rollover. This is one of the few apps that allow you to manually take control of your finances. And it’s free! Beautiful interface, with simplistic and easy to navigate features. However, the app lacks a Budget Rollover feature. Developers, if you could make the budgets rollover from week to week, I’d be absolutely ecstatic!

Update is ok, has bugs. I’ve been using this app for several years. It’s my favorite but this recent update still requires improvements. Adding transactions will take getting used to as the subcategories aren’t reacting the same. And last, I noticed when I try to sync my account. It still shows the last sync as May 13, 2018. Im concerned because I use this app across several devices. So if it’s not syncing and showing my last attempt at syncing of today July 16, 2018 this could be a big problem.

App Review. Love this app! I tell all of my friends to to get their expenses in order with this intuitive app. One complaint is that with my new phone update, the app was not synced and I lost all of my information for the past couple years. Another issue I’ve been seeing since my new phone is that it will glitch and delete some of my entries. I hope this is a bug that will be fixed for the iPhone XR. Great app though! Two thumbs up!

Works for me. Note that the free version now features obnoxious whole screen adds. I’ve been a user since version 2 or so and it worked well for me ... however the latest interface revamp has me looking at (though not yet for) alternatives ... the new entry screens are ... less than intuitive to me and some of the things I actually liked (and didn’t even really notice) are now gone ...

No response whatsoever from support. Amazing app, been using it for years. However, I have the older version 6.1.4 and don’t see any possible way to transfer all my huge amount of data to the new version, 6.5.0. I’ve messaged support at the email address they advertised promising to respond to support requests, but with no response. I’ve message support in the past with the same results. I truly hope there is a way to do transfer the info…I’m not sure why they would create a new version without a way to do so.

Data Lost in iPhone Upgrade. I have had this app for 6 years and loved it. I got a new phone and even though I had paid for lifetime access 5 years ago, it tells me I don’t have an account and that I need to pay. I have no way of accessing my data on the new phone...luckily I have my old phone so I at least have access to my numbers, but they will have to be manually transferred to a new app. I emailed the developers and told them I’d be willing to pay again, I just want my data, but my emails have been ignored. Avoid this app.

It makes budgeting easy. Expense makes tracking the budget categories I actually want to track during the month (non-fixed expenses) very easy. I tried a few others, but this was the most intuitive and simple.

A Must Have. i run a home business and this app made my money tracking job sooo easy! you can run multiple accounts and track different kinds of money transfer, income, expense, bought, sold, bills and etc... I believe you can use this for big businesses too! It's so simple and handy!

Great Checkbook/Bill Scedule. I like that you can add multiple accounts, transfer between them, and categorize (and even split categories) expenses. What I don’t like is that it won’t syncs with my phone, sometimes the total on the account doesn’t match the register, and I wish you could have it sync with your bank account. But overall, it’s great I use it weekly to plan out my paychecks.

Doesn’t work. The app opens, you sit through an ad and then when you try to open a tab, the site crashes. All your financial records are no longer available to you. What’s going on? Months later and things have improved. I’m back in business now despite losing most of my data from 2018 after the last update. Not happy about that, but the app is now working well and I hope that future updates will not be as disruptive.

Hidden Gem. I’ve been through 4 other money managing apps and this one is so underrated. The amount of customization you’re given is EVERYTHING I could ask for. The app works smoothly and is incredibly satisfying. I’m just writing this review to tell the dev’s how hard this app goes. You guys are awesome

Never Update your app. I keep coming back and I don’t know why. You know that saying ‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result’. That’s me on this app. I update it and I expect that it will make the app better but it’s always a mess. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I’m an idiot I suppose because as the app is updated signing back in makes the sync incorrect every time. Currently I have hundreds HUNDREDS of entries that have simply vanished so my account balances are off by THOUSANDS of dollars. Budget categories have somehow also vanished as have payments. The calendar is off by a day. So it currently says that it is Monday but on the list of entries it shows the ones from Sunday, yesterday, and when it’s clicked it says Sundays 15th. When I put entries in for today Monday 16th they show up for tomorrow and when I got to Tuesday and click on the entry it says today.... I just can’t with the stress of this. Honestly SO NOT GET THIS. It isn’t worth the anxiety.

Awesome App!!. I’ve been using this app for the past 3 years and it has been instrumental in my finances. I personally record all my data on a consistent basis, daily or weekly, and it has allowed me to keep track of all my spending in order to create an efficient budget and savings. Great app and I definitely recommend if you’re looking to take control of your finances.

Great App. I used to use a different App for financial tracking, “Expenses”, it was the best app ever. Unfortunately when I switched to an iPhone X I was no longer able to use it. Pocket Expenses is the closest I’ve come to my old beloved app! It’s simple, user friendly, and not over whelming with a bunch of features that truthfully, no one ever really uses on a day-by-day!!! The only wishes I have is: 1) more icons when customizing categories or maybe a way to create your own icon & 2) A Dedicated spot for Check Numbers! That would be really useful for looking for old transactions if you were able to look via check numbers. That would be the only reason I did not give this app a five stars rating!

Not working as it used to do. I have used this app for a long time, even before they upgraded it. I had payed for the non advertisements version, but seems they forgot about it after the upgrade. Now every time i open the app an ad comes up. There’s also an issue that is preventing it to work, after i open the app it does not allow to see your bills, and after a while it crashes. Do not recommed it to anyone until these issues are resolve.

Do. This.. I have been keeping track of my daily expenses with this app for at least three years. I enjoy being able to categorize and budget my expenses and track my income and spending from month-to-month and year-to-year. Highly recommend!

Keeps my accounts in check but problematic. Love this app - really helps me keep all my accounts separate and variety of categories. my only complaint is that it was not possible to backup my entire account and Transfer to my new phone. So I am stuck doing accounts on my old phone and then start anew from January with the new phone. But besides that it’s the best out of the apps I’ve tried for personal account keeping

Was a great app, new update ruined it. I’ve used this app for years and it had changed the way I look at my finances more than anything else. It’s been great to track my spending, prepare for future bills before the next payday, and overall just get better control of my money. There is a new update, which screwed up te balance. Worse, it now requires and extra click to see your balance instead of it being on the main page. Wouldn’t you think that would be the most important piece of information? How incredibly disappointing

Great but need improvement. It’s very useful in terms if tracking money between accounts and remembering where and when i spent money, but needs to be improved in terms of currency options i have many accounts with different types of currency and it so confusing when i have to calculate them in dolors every-time !!! Furthermore they should add a stand account which isn’t calculated in net-worth Hope they do something to improve it,,

Convenient and User friendly. My favorite thing about this app is that I can program future expenses that I know are coming up but have not yet cleared in my account. This keeps me from overspending until my next check and helps me maintain my budgets. I’ve also added my credit card accounts so I can analyze my spending across the board, not just my checking.

Update and mistakes!. I absolutely LOVE the update!! It makes it so much clearer and smoother to use! However, I did a big oops and deleted one of my accounts, and can’t find the undo button! If anyone has any advice for me, that would be much appreciated. I am afraid I will have to start from scratch and loose all of my history in doing so! Other than that, I would recommend this app to anyone!

An Essential App. This App let’s me keep record of each and every expense and income. Adding an expense hardly takes 10seconds but they’re worth it. I was poor in maintaining my budget but now I’m able to keep record of all finances. Touch/Face Id can be used to protect this app whenever you open it

Mixed review. I like pocket expense for its ease of use and accessibility I like tge summary I do not like being redirected when I am starting to enter my expenses you asked the question if I liked it and I responded yes had I known that I was going to be taking away from what I was doing I would not of responded. There must be a better way Judith

Nice budgeting. Helpful, exactly what I wanted. Ability to create personal categories and the look at pie charts on proportions. Easy to enter info. I don't want or need an app that links to bank accounts, just one to keep track of personal spending and allow me to visualize where I can make changes.

Budgetting. Expenses enable you to see where most of your spending went. It will make you aware how much spending you have done per day, week, month, and even year. I have a bad habit of spending without thinking, but because expenses, I manually input all of my income/expenses. Consequently, my self awareness is increase with my money going in and going out.

Add some options. Thank you so much for your informative and useful app. really your app is the best among others but if you add some options it will be better, for example when we check our income and expenditures in each category or sub categories the “sum” or balance Is missed please add this option to each category. Budgeting Made Easy. Have been using this app for the past four years! Makes it easy to add multiple income sources, budgeting plan by week or month, and even reminds you if you haven't added expenses/income in a day or two. I’ve tried to find other apps like it but there just isn’t one. I really should have done this review a long time ago, but it just dawned on me that it's been over years now!

I’m not able to delete my account!. I wanted to give this app a solid review (4/5). It was in my top 5 apps and I’ve tried at least 20 of them. Since I’ve decided to use another app, I simply wanted to delete my account from PocketExpense and all the info I’ve entered like I did with all other apps I’ve tested. Guess what? There is no option to do that. So, I’ve sent the email to the support asking them to delete my acoount/data. No response for a week. I don’t understand how this is even legal and why apps like this are permitted on the app store?

The number one tool that helped me get out of debt. Nothing has helped me acknowledge my spending problems better than forcing myself to use Expense for all of my banking tracking. Like balancing a checkbook but for every credit card transaction or use of money over the last four years of my life. I owe all my good financial habits to this thing.

Categories. I’m so happy I can edit my categories! I made so many categories by mistake before but could not edit them, so they were just clutter. I can also search by category now without having to look through every year of logging. Thank you! 🙂

Improvements!. There has been some new features added so I’m using the app again until something better comes along. Yes, there are apps that sync up to all of your accounts so you don’t have to enter anything but you won’t really FEEL like you’re spending money so I prefer to type in my expenses every day as they are incurred. Thanks for the updates!

Get organized!!!. Love the app!!! I've been tracking every dime I've made and spent since 1999!! I transitioned to this app a few years ago after the program (Microsoft Money) I was using became obsolete... If you want to get your finances in order this app will help! You'll actually see where your money goes all the time!! Stay the course! The road to financial freedom is worth it!!!

All financial data lost!. I’ve used this app for years and today got notified that you can no longer use facebook to log in. So the financial data I had been tracking and stored was lost. I even paid for the non-free version to avoid all of the ads. Very disappointed that all my data is completely lost.

Response please?. Writing this here in hopes to get a response. I emailed support a few weeks ago and have not heard back at all. I absolutely love this app, and am considering purchasing it and using it as my daily driver, however I noticed that there is no web (browser) version. Is this in the works or will it always be “just an app”?

Great...if you never upgrade your device.. Cannot log into the old version of this app. I downloaded the new version and I cannot log into my existing account to merge my data over. I receive a message saying, “A server with the specified hostname could not be found.” Once again, in search of a replacement app for my finances. Very disappointed. The worst part is I paid for this app. Definitely not making the mistake of using it again to lose all my data whenever I upgrade to a new phone again.

ALMOST 5 stars. The only thing this app is missing is a way to connect your bank account to track your expenses. It’s hard to remember to log all of my expenses. Other than that, this app is awesome! So much versatility and insight on your expenses because of reports, categories, accounts, and other functionality. This app is almost perfect, but Albert may have this one beat by a hair.

Overall Good. This is an Amazing app to keep track of all my transactions. I've had it for almost 4 years now but the only problem have with it now is that when I fist got it i paid $4.99 for the full version. Now it says that It would cost me $7.99 If I want the full version for this update and any upcoming updates. I fell like I should not have to pay again if I paid once already. When I paid fot the app I paid for the full version, not for the update.

Great app! Needs some work to be perfect. I love this app. It helps me stay on top of my spending and the ability to look at spending categories is convenient. Definitely easier than managing/teaching an app that automatically links to your bank accounts what your financial life is like. Some suggestions: Please app split screen support for iPad. Its silly i can’t use this app side by side with a calculator Please add full resolution support for iPad Pro 12.9. Most importantly, PLEASE add the ability to search by categories. I want to be able to search a particular category (lets say “coffee”) and see all the transactions for it in one place without having to scroll through all of them.

Glitchy & Slow. Lately the app feels really slow and bogged down. Especially if I open it then go to a different app (for example American Express) and go back to pocket expense. It often stalls and sometimes even closes the app. I have to then open it again. This happens every time you open another app and go back to it which makes it very hard to try and to manage your expenses which is the whole reason I have this app in the first place. This never happened before, but after the update this happens constantly.

Simple & easy. great way to keep track of my expenses and visualise it in charts. I use it to jot down simple daily expense/income, haven't tried the other more complicated features. a drawback is I often mistype the amount in the Payee section and have to re-type. I think it is much more intuitive for the user to type in the amount first and then the payee.

Last update ruined my experience. I was using this app for quite a while. Though it was a learning curve but at the end it worth the effort and time. The app was doing pretty much what it is supposed to do but the last update ruined my user experience. The added ad everywhere is the app. The ads are so intense and frequent that it is almost impossible to use the free version of the app. Other than that this app is way more expensive than most of its competitors based on what is does. Very disappointing experience and I might leave the app using if the ads are not removed in the free version.

Not a good update!. The previous version was much better and easier to use. This version has less features and shows you less information in every screen and seems more cluttered at the same time, anything but an improvement... Examples... 1) Trying to scroll months at a time, it no longer shows when you spent in whichever month... you instead have to go to budget or generate a report. 2) entries into a day using different accounts don’t show what account was used. I used this app to balance my checkbook and now i May have to look elsewhere, since this app took 10 steps backwards. 3) would also like to be able to see more entries on a day again. 4) make scrolling through calendar easier, it’s terrible and annoying now. Just overall not that good anymore. Wish I could have the old one back. EDIT: Still terrible. Just had my app crash and lost my last 3 years worth of financial tracking. Disappointing.

Great App!!!!. App is straight forward and easy to track. Only app I found that I can make multiple accounts. I like to split up our wages and put them into different make believe accounts to ensure enough money is set aside for all bills instead of making it a guessing game. Thanks for making a great app and keeping it updated.

Very intuitive and detailed. I had another basic tracker before this and while the layout did take some getting used to, it was totally worth it! This even has a category for pets and gifts, which are areas some trackers don't separate out. I love that I can create my own categories too!!

Needs an update!. I’ve been using this app for a few years now and I really like it. But the last few weeks I have not been able to open up my bills in the app so it is very inconvenient for me to remember to keep track of all of them. Being able to save a recurring bills was a big pro for me with this app. I really hope you can fix this soon

Upset. I updated this so it’s compatible with os 12 and all this app does is dump me when I click on accounts, budget or any of them. I’d like to go back to the one previous as it works a lot better. This update gets a zero This app is working properly now and I still love it. Thank you. This is now a 5 star!!!
