Disappointing. Ideally this would be a great app. It was fun for a bit but there is really not that much you can do without spending money. Smoola, their currency, is soooo hard to obtain. There are these achievements you can get but after the first few easy ones you realize that the rest are impossible to get. You have to play more songs to get the achievements that get you smoola, but to be able to play those songs you have to buy them with smoola. Either way you need smoola and the only way to get it is to buy it with real money. There are tons of ads just to play song that last only one or two minutes. Whenever I saved up enough smoola ( a rare occurrence) I was so happy because that means I could get a song. So over the course of the few years that I have had this app, I have been able to buy ONLY FOUR SONGS! (I don't use this app that often, maybe once a week or a bit more). I also wish there was a way to preview the songs before you buy them. For two out of my four purchased songs, I have been disappointed with the way they sound. This app would be so much better if you didn't have to spend so much money to enjoy it.

Stop linking my account. This is the 3rd time you did this to me. Stop linking this app with your sing app! I had so many songs unlocked on my other account now they are all gone!!!! Now I have that stupid twinkle twinkle star bull crap! And I have to restart! This same thing happened a few months a go and it also happened last year. stop.. Linking... The. ACCOUNTS!!! I literally watched so many stupid ads to get all the songs I wanted! And I completed so many achievements! BUT GUESS WHAT!! THEY ARE ALL GONE!! You need to do something about this, because this is ridiculous! Alone, I spent like 100 minutes to get all the songs I had! I had 87 freaking songs from using the smola from advertisements! All gone... The achievements, all gone.... I didn't mind it as bad the past 2 times because I didn't have many songs.. But this time really upsets me. Do something about it. And you know what else???? I tried to get the other account back, but when I tried it said it was linked to another account and I couldn't get it back.... Change that otherwise I'm deleting it.

$mule.. it’s all about the $$$. I loved this game for a long time but over the last year or more the ads are ridiculous and every time before you start a song .. there’s an ad.. finish a song... another ad... select another song.. an ad.. and on and on. I paid for a one week trial and didn’t realize it continued charging me. I originally signed up for 7.99 a month only to find out a couple months later they were billing me 2.99 a week! Being able to compose songs was a cool idea until I finished a level and earned 200 coins... purchased a newer song for 75 coins that was nothing more than a few taps and that was it. I didn’t get the song I paid for and that’s happened many of times. When someone submits a composure I think someone at the company should review it first before putting it out there for people to waste their money. Lastly... I have maxed out on levels so all the songs I rack points up on are of no use since the app is now not even giving me credit so unless I want to pay for VIP I have no way to earn what little reward you get for completing a level. What started out as my absolute favorite game is now nothing more than a money sucker and it doesn’t appear that it’ll improve. Great game gone to the deleted aps of my account! They aren’t getting anymore of my money!

Game is dead to the developers…... I’ve been playing Magic Piano for about 10 years. It’s good at what it does, and new users will likely enjoy it for some time. However. I’ve made numerous attempts to get a meaningful reply from customer support and the developers, and never received more than a thanks we’ll forward your concerns. The single most bothersome thing about it is the composer mode. Sure, this allows for people (some extraordinarily good at it) to add songs to the game. Seems great. Here’s the problem…. If I spend untold hours of my time going through the painstaking process of placing hundreds of individual notes, I get nothing in return but ratings from other users. Those other users are spending in game currency to play the song you put on there. It’s not free. The developers are further profiting from this practice. Also, anyone can modify and upload it as their own with minimal changes. This has created sometimes hundreds of duplicate or near duplicate copies of someone’s very hard work. I’ve seen numerous prolific “composers” stop adding new music, or, deleting their accounts and originals altogether. My last unanswered email to the developers referenced all of this, including that I would no longer be financially supporting the app with a subscription. So, to the public it goes.

Loving it, just one problem.... Ok so I’m really loving this game, but there is just one problem that is just so annyoying. So I was just finishing up medium level on Colors by Halsey, and then I decided to try hard, so all was well the first few seconds, UNTIL... this popped up, “Why is magic piano paused?? Go to settings and turn off multitasking so your screen doesn’t slide off to another app! “ And so I went to setting and went to general, Like is showed in the picture, and I couldn’t find it! It wasn’t there! So I went back to magic piano to see the picture, and it was the exact thing I did! I couldn’t find “ MULTITASKING” So I just went back to the song, thinking it was just a one - time thing, and the NEXT TIME I press 4 finger it pops up again! It was so annoying! So I ignored it. And then a few peachy notes later it pops up again! Ughh it was so annoying! And so I finishing the song, and because of the pop up thing, I only got 2 stars!! But other than that, this game is awesome! Now I know that this review is just going to be one of the other reviews, lost in the ocean of reviews, but PLEEEEAAASE! Try to fix this.

Really?. This used to be a great app. But now all sorts of problems have surfaced. The first one is a terrible glitch that ruins the whole game. I am currently trying to earn achievements to earn smoola. The one I’m doing right now is play ten songs perfectly. I keep trying to play songs, but as I am tapping the screen, say on the right side, it will say I’m also tapping on the left and will say that I’m tapping with too many fingers! This makes it impossible to complete the achievement. The second one is how hard it is to earn smoola. To earn them you either have to level up, or earn an achievement. It is extremely hard to level up and as I said before that glitch makes it very hard to earn achievements. The reason it is hard to level up is that it barely gives you any xp after you finish a song. You need about 10,000 xp to level up where I’m at. But when you finish a song that lasts longer than three minutes it only gives you 300 xp.

No longer any good. I played this app when it was first available. I loved it! There were a few ads plus you could earn Smula by watching an ad. It was reasonable. Now! You have to watch an ad before and after the few free songs available AND the songs that are mine, that I bought, now have an ad after playing but before u get your points. If you don’t watch the ad you lose your points. Earning Smula is insane! The number of ads involved just to get points towards a level that when complete gives you 1 Smula. Any song to buy is 25 Smula (to put it in perspective). I don’t recommend this game or any games thru this company. They are greedy and underhanded. They used to be one of my favorite and trusted companies. I hope this company realizes that no one is going to pay u for ads if u have no one playing your games. You seriously need to revamp how your doing your games before your greed puts you out of business!!! It’s not like there’s no competition with other similar games!! DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME. Be prepared to spend 90% of your time watching ads if you try out this game. The single star I gave is a tribute for the way this game used to be.

Major Problem (developers please fix). At first I really loved this game but lately I have been having a huge problem with it. If you own this game and only have a few songs you won’t see this problem as much but I own around 20 songs. Not all of the songs I have bought, won, or chosen from “free songs” show up in “my songs” many of them are still in free songs and some of them don’t show up anywhere. Now that is a problem but wait there is an even bigger one. Some times a song that I own doesn’t show up in “my songs” or in “free songs” it shows up in “suggested songs” or in “editor’s choice” (even when I search my songs this happens) it says I own it and the stars are even fulled in. Well I go to click on it because obviously I have payed for that song and I want to play it but it says that I am blank many smoolas short like I have to buy it again. WHAT? I ALREADY PAYED FOR IT ONCE I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN? This is really frustrating. If it wasn’t for this major problem I would give this app five or four stars if it didn’t have this problem, it is really fun and I love playing the songs. But please fix this major problem I want my songs back.

Smoola and ad problems. I’ve had this app for at least 6 years and I loved playing it when I first downloaded it. I don’t really mind all the changes that made the app look different, but I’m having problems that I never had in the past. When I played this app on my iPad, I watched videos to get at least 75 smoola and it worked. Then recently when I started to do it again, it worked but then I would get ads that didn’t get me any smoola. When I first started having this problem, I thought that there might be a glitch in the app. So I tried to buy a song from the Songbook because I thought I would get the song I wanted even though I didn’t have the right amount of smoola. But when I tapped on the song to buy it, it said that I didn’t have the right amount even though I watched videos to earn smoola. Sometimes I would wait to get more smoola and then when I press the button to earn 5 smoola, it would say there I should come back later to watch more videos. Then I go to use another app to occupy myself. Then when I go back to the app, I would press the same button again, but then I would get an ad that doesn’t get me any smoola. I also wish that I wouldn’t have to watch videos after playing songs and I wouldn’t have to watch videos to play free songs even though I already played the song I want to play again. Those problems seem to bug me but overall this app is pretty great.

So. Many. Freaking. Ads.. Ugh, BEFORE and AFTER I play a song, I have to watch an ad. I can’t X out of it, because then I just close out of the app and lose my progress, and end up repeating what I tried and failed to do before. I give it three stars, mainly because it is a great app overall, with fun songs and options, xp points after every song you play that you save to level up, rewards, etc. I think it would be such a better game if there weren’t as many advertisements! Also, almost everything is too pricey. It is hard to get through the game without purchasing something. There are only eight free songs I know of, without being a VIP, and once you complete those, you kinda have to just replay them until you level up and get more smoola to buy a song. I think this game has potential, but please add in more free songs and lower the amount of ads I see, because honestly it is super annoying, and I want to delete it but I would lose all my progress. If you make these simple changes, my star rating will go up, and I guarantee others will too.

Great app, but... This app is truly amazing! So much fun and occupying, very easy and fun, and there are so many different songs to play. However, I sincerely wish that we did not have to watch so many ads. It gets annoying very fast, and it makes me not want to play. Another problem I have with this game is that you have to pay a lot of smoola for just one song. The songs get up to 75 smoola currently, and to get free smoola, you need to do things that some people can’t actually do. For example, you can connect to Facebook, which some people are unable to do because they don’t have Facebook. And there are a lot of children playing this game as well that are not allowed to have certain social media. Another thing is you can watch a 23 second ad for just 5 smoola. Its not very fun when all you can do at one point is watch ads for smoola and play all the free songs. (Which, in my opinion, are ever very fun.) This app would be absolutely amazing if we could do some easier things to get smoola.

Not like I remember. I had this app a couple years ago and absolutely loved it. It was challenging to play, since I only had a tiny device to play it on, but it was great. I actually felt like I was making progress with each song and difficulty I completed. I fell out of touch with the app in college and recently decided to redownload it because of how fun I remembered it being. I am disappointed with what Ive found. It feels like the only way to actually progress and earn coins for new songs is to spend money. It’s either that, or play the same few songs over and over again, making little progress each time. I could play a song on the hardest level without missing a single note, and still barely progress to higher levels. Not to mention the plethora of ads. I fully understand that when you play a game for free to expect a few ads here and there, but no other free app I’ve ever used has shoved so many ads in my face. I was able to tolerate it for a while, because the game itself is loads of fun, but my patience has worn out and I’ve deleted the app from my devices. It’s a shame because I absolutely adore the gameplay and ability to compose my own songs. I got this app to help relax when I have an idle moment between school and work, but it’s proven to be more stressful dealing with the above issues than it’s worth. It’s absolute waste of time, money, and effort.

Even Mad Men didn't have this many ads. I loved Smule when I first played it several years ago. I decided to come back only to find almost all of my songs in my library paywalled. And then there's the ads. So many ads. Too many ads. I hope you like coloring book ads and bootleg Chinese app games and their stock songs, because I guarantee you'll memorize the ads and their songs before anything in your actual Smule library. What makes it even worse is the fact that 99% of all the songs are now 25 Smule points. Even unfinished user pieces. And to make the ad situation even more humiliating, if you watch an ad for the free Smule there's a 50/50 chance you won't even get the Smule point for wasting your time playing one stupid ad. Adding further insult to injury is the fact that each song. No matter how short. How long. Or even if you're replaying it, is met with a 30 second ad for an app or game you'll never consider downloading after it plays for the millionth time. Go play a different piano game, or better yet learn to play the actual piano. I guarantee there'll be less ads, and you'll probably learn the instrument in the time it would take you to earn 25 Smule points.

The glitch😤. Overall I think this app is fun and I like that there’s a ton of songs to choose from. But I’m writing this review because of one problem in particular I’m having. When I play on the hard level, (using up to four fingers) often for some unknown reason it will keep pausing even though I do NOT hit the pause button. This happens a lot now (sometimes ten times a song...no exaggeration!) Also it’s started to glitch out right into other apps when I’m right in the middle of a song. It’s getting very annoying. Please fix this! (A month later) Something just popped up on my screen on how to make it stop pausing right in the middle so many times of every song. I did it and it worked. Thanks! I’ll bump it up to four stars now. I’d have a better chance of giving it five stars if there weren’t soooo many ads (An ad after every song you play and sometimes you’re required to watch an ad before you can even begin playing a song) and if the songs didn’t cost so much.

Good but a big problem... So I have had this game for a long time I love it soooo much I had like 40 songs and yeah. So this morning I wake up, get dressed, and ready and said to my self “Oh I should play piano!” So I got onto the app and it said I only had 2 songs. So I refreshed my page, didn’t work. So then I turned off my iPad and it said I had 1 song and it was “twinkle twinkle little star,” and I was confused and upset bc I loved my songs bc I had 40 songs and over 200 smoola now I only have 5 smoola, 1 songs, and no composed songs when I did have a composed song. Please fix this and if you could please send 200 smoola back, my composed song, and all my 40 songs. Also, I had a different user it was “sing” or “music” something like that, now my user is to my email. And I was a level 35, now level 1. Please read this and fix this problem, and if you could please get me my composed song, 200 smoola, all my 40 songs, and my level back. Have a good afternoon - day - morning, what ever time it is for you.

WHAT THE HECK SMULE. So I get you guys are a big app now, and I have had Magic Piano since it first came out, years ago. I used it when there was only basic songs like Twinkle Twinkle little Star. I’ve kept it all these years, and never have I gotten so many ads. I have over 150 songs, do you know how many Ads I had to watch? Plus free songs. I also did TapJoy stuff, and never once got my Smula (should be almost 6800 since I did ones you actually had to pay for also) I’ve reported it and then was told it was “Lost” but it said I had done it. Of course I got a little mad. Yet, I still have the app. How am I re-payed? ADS AFTER EVERY SONG! I like to play the songs but it’s annoying when a ad comes in every two seconds. As before I can play to ad after I play then repeat. It’s used to be reasonable, 1 ad after every 3-4 songs. Sometimes 5 if you watched a Smula ad. Don’t you guys already have Millions just from all of your apps combined? You guys are getting greedy. Also the VIP thing. Why are all the good songs VIP? The daily challenges used to be VIP songs, which was cool. But now it’s songs you can go and buy. Tired of it smule. I’ll keep the game and I wish to have my 6800 Smula, but I’m not going to force it. And PLEASE KEEP THE ADS ON A DOWN LOW!

Good but some problems. I love this game! I think it’s very creative the way they made you play the piano. I have never seen a game like this before it’s so unique! But there is always a but sooooo story time! So I was trying to get some more money ( I forgot the name of the money in the game) so I watched an add to get some money and I looked at where my money was and it stayed the same! But I thought it was a little glitch so I tried again and the same thing happened! I rebooted my iPad several times but it still never gave me more money. I got very frustrated with this problem. Please work on it. (or is it my iPad...) ok next problem ( I know too many problems and and it’s getting annoying but just stay with me PLEASE!) ok so the next thing that happened was I finally got enough money to get a new song. And I picked the song I wanted but then when I looked back at my songs it wasn’t there! Please work on that problem (or is it just my iPad again?!) ok so the point is GET THIS GAME I know I complained a lot but I would still get this game if I were you so yeah. PEACE OUT

Gone down hill. I’ve had this app since basically it was released. I’ve seen it go from something really amazing where you didn’t have to pay a subscription, watch just a few ads and got lots of coins and even got a really nice selection of music without any hassle what so ever. Now? Now it’s a dumpster fire in my opinion. I can’t replay any of my old original songs - ones that have been on the app for years because now it’s saying I have to pay a subscription, and honestly, like everything else out there, this app has become a money grab. Sure you get a small selection of free music you can, but what if you want to play something else? Nope pay wall. Coins you get some by connection your Facebook, only 5 coins for watching ads (before it was a lot more). Now it’s just pay walls over pay walls; it’s sad to see this game go from something great to what it is now. The spark isn’t here anymore, I refuse to use money to play a few songs. Probably won’t redownload this ever again, it’s sad to see such a great app just go down hill.

Helpful ideas!!!!. I think that this is a very fun and creative app, but only when people stop copying the same song from each other. The sad thing is that they aren’t even the right song. For example, I wanted to play the song “Every time we Touch” by cascada and when I search it up, I see that all of the songs say cascada on them. But when I listen to them, they aren’t even remotely close to the actual song. I would love it if you could add something to prevent that since it is very annoying. Aside from that, I think it would be a good idea for you to add a function that allows you to transpose songs that you have downloaded on iTunes for the piano. So basically, if I have a song on iTunes that isn’t on the app, I could select the function and it would transpose itself to match the app. I think that it would be a good idea, and I think that it will make the app more enjoyable. Overall, it is a very fun app and I would like to see more happen with it. Thank you!

It’s great but more. I love this app you can play really good songs and especially I love how you put Beethoven songs I love playing them every day I love listening to music it just is pretty easy but I like it the only thing is I hate when you have to watch an ad before you play one of your favorite songs please just get rid of this these ads because like I’m starting to hate this app but I really love it and I love just like everything and it’s really nice how you put every song but and I don’t like how you have to cost coins for it and I just wanted to be like you know how on karaoke you can choose whatever song you want by now on this you don’t choose like what song you want and I want to choose whatever song I want to play but I can’t because I’m trying to practice on my 🎹 even though I love it and the only thing is just get rid of all the ads😘😛😠 all at the same time

Scam. I used to love this app, but now it’s just disappointing. I opened the app for the first time in about a year yesterday, and all of the thirty something songs I had ever purchased and played were gone. Even a song that I bought last night was gone by this morning. It’s pretty much impossible to get coins without purchasing them with real money, and I wasn’t going to spend that much time watching ads. Another horrible change that I’ve noticed is the increase in ads. A year ago, all of the songs in the free section used to actually be free. But now, you have to watch an ad before playing one. Even if you want to change the difficulty, you have to watch an ad. Ads never used to be apparent in the app unless you watched them for coins, but now they pop up after you play almost any song, even if you have actually purchased it. After reading a lot of reviews, I am positive that everything that is happening to me is not a unique glitch, and is probably a scam put into place by Smule so they can earn more money. Don’t waste your time trying to make good use of this app. It’s not worth it. There are plenty of other much better versions out there.

No longer worth my time; TRASH. I never spend the time to review, however my disappointment in the evolution of this game pushed me to do so. I first played magic piano around 6-7 years ago and I absolutely loved it. There were plenty of accessible songs and I would earn a nice classical piece every time I leveled up. There were plenty of songs to choose from and I did not mind spending hard earned coins to gain popular songs like Mario’s theme song and Beethoven Sonatas. The amount of ads was reasonable and felt like an acceptable exchange for the playtime they provided. Now it is trash. As others have commented, there are ads before and after playing one song (most of the time). You get free songs for leveling up much less frequently and when you do they are not very desirable (I.e very short happy birthday). Even with all that ad watching, there are only 8 free songs, and most songs are for VIP members only. I loved this game for the classical music and there is barely access to any classical pieces for free anymore. I am extremely disappointed with the direction of this company. I do not recommend their products. And hope others will take notice and do the same. I hope they change for the better after seeing the many complaints here.

Very good, but some flaws.. Your game is very good and I honestly think it could be quite more famous. But there are some flaws... take the amount of ads for example... every time you finish a song, ad. Whenever you want to play a song in the free song list, and I quote,”your free content will be available after this message!” And then an ad. I feel like you just went a little overboard with the ads. And second of all MEMBERSHIPS. People already know that memberships are becoming a problem. They attract you into buying them, they give you a free trial, and they make it so almost everything is membership only. I counted that vip only song list in the menu. Over (drumroll please) 700 SONGS. You might wanna check how much you do to non-members. Finally, this isn’t too much of a complaint but just a thing to tell you. You’re age rating is 4+ right? Well.... Whenever I have to rack up smoola I watch ads and one of them has been catching my eye. You might wanna check your advertising because one of the ads legit has 18+ in the corner and the end of the ad even says,” adult game for adult emotions.” But so yeah just check your ads every so often and I feel like that this game could be much better

Good game...needs improvement. I have been playing smule piano for a long time on and off, and I have realize the pros and cons of the game. Here are the pros... PROS: 1. Good music selection 2. Different piano sounds 3. Daily challenges + rewards For the most part smule has done a good job creating music and allowing others to do so too, but here are the cons..... CONS: 1. When let’s say you have an account and make a song inspired by another person’s song, you should be allowed to play it without having to buy it with smule coins, which brings me to the next con 2. There should be more opportunities to get smule coins then leveling up (which only gives you like 2 coins). When there are songs that cost 25 coins each, you should have more options to get coins than just watching the same video over and over again for 5 coins 3. Sometimes when I get in to the app (on iPhone and iPad) it just stops at the smule logo and I have to tap out and try it again. 4. And finally, when playing on an iPhone, it is sometimes hard to keep up on the singing piano mode because the 4 notes are hard to press. This meet mean I’m not the best digital piano player but I think amateur will understand Overall smule piano is a great game but it needs some improvements. And know that it was hard for me to come up with pros. And one last thing, can smule please change the singing on the ads for smule singing because man, they are so out of tune.😒🙏🏻

Really fun but needs fixing. I really enjoy playing this game.I have for a long time. But oh god this game has probably the most irritating bug in any mobile game. The majority of songs are “unplayable” due to lack of connection, even though I am connected to the internet. What’s even more absurd is that i can still open these songs in the editor and publish them myself, and then they work! The game is locking me out of songs for no good reason. This NEEDS fixing. While there is a work around, its time consuming and very irritating. This isnt the only thing that needs fixing. If there is a large intentional gap between notes in a chart, and you wait the appropriate amount of time before playing the next note, it counts as a miss for waiting too long. Even the “learn this song” feature that plays the song for you will wait the long amount of time. But when you do it yourself, it counts as a miss. These issues along with ads after EVERY SINGLE SONG keep this from being 5 stars. And seeing as the game was last updated 9 months ago, I don’t think it will be updated again.

Used to be better. The Magic Piano used to be the game of all games. It was a nice challenge between friends and family, and it was fun. Now however, they have switched to a money making approach rather than keeping the app engaging. After each song you finish, you get an ad. After every action you take, you get an ad. You don’t earn many smoola and you level up very veeery slowly. Furthermore, the only way to get any free smoola doesn’t even work! How come does Smule thrown so many ads in my face and when I want to watch an ad for free smoola, it always says there are no ads currently available? Also, the “surveys and miscellaneous” smoola earning section does not work. I have tried many times and haven’t gotten any smoola. Finally, a lot of the songs I got a long time ago require me to watch an ad before playing them, and then another ad after. And some songs I bought don’t even work anymore with the error that they can’t download. All in all, it’s an amazing app. I love it and I have been using it for a looong time but it has changed for the worse.

Went downhill. I used to have this app as a very young child, and the only reason why I deleted it was because I got frustrated at its difficulty. Just recently, the game crossed my mind and I decided to re-download it and give it another go. Because I’ve gotten a lot better at video games over the years, the difficulty of the game was no longer a problem. There, were, however, new problems with the game that I didn’t expect to encounter. For starters, the game has WAY to many ads. I can’t play a single song, not even a short one like Happy Birthday, without being forced to watch a stupid, boring video that I don’t care about. I got this game because I remembered how fun it was, but it’s kind of hard to have fun when 90% of the game is just you watching ads for other games. Second of all, this game is basically begging you for money at this point. The fact that some of the songs are only available to VIP users is just stupid. Do they really expect us to spend actual money on a stupid piano game that we have on our phones? Besides from that, every achievement you can accomplish in the game (leveling up, getting new songs, etc.) can be bought with just a few bucks. The fact that literally everything in this game has been put up for sale is terrible. Well, that’s my review

Great Game... but also some honesty. Alright, so I would like to start by stating that I absolutely love this game as a game, but I've come across some shady business practices from Smule considering their billing agreement. I did the one week trial, loved it and then paid for another. I decided I needed to not pay for the subscription for personal finance reasons, so I canceled my VIP membership. Low and behold they charged me for VIP the next week, so I removed PayPal from my payment methods on iTunes. Funny thing is, even after cancelling the subscription and removing PayPal as a payment method they continued to charge me for four more consecutive weeks. I had to claim fraudulent charges through my bank to get the payments to stop. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or shady business practices, but make sure you manually stop the recurring charges through your bank if you want to stop the VIP membership. That is honestly the only reason I gave this game three stars. If not for that singular incident I would definitely have rated it 5 stars. Great game! Love it! But I'm going to be uninstalling it after my experience.

Loveable, life-long game! HERES SOME RECOMMENDATIONS. I’ve played this game since I was 11 years old and i’m almost 18 now. Let me just say, this app has improved insanely since the beginning and I’m super proud of the developers for opening the Composer ability. This has opened so many possibilities when it comes to music, I myself have purchased the pass to have full access to the library. It is a little pricey at $7.99 a week, but if your very deep into it then it shouldn’t be too much of a deal. I feel that long term users should get a discount if that was possible. Anyways, if the developers are still checking reviews and trying to improve their app, I feel like a perfect idea for improvement would be the ability to ORGANIZE your songs. Maybe you have a lot of classical songs and you would like them to be in a group. This is a KEY feature that would make navigating the app much more useful. Secondly, I would also recommend a feature that allows you to delete songs you didn’t enjoy playing, off of your songbook. Everyone has played a song they didn’t quite enjoy, but it stays on your songbook as long as you’ve played it. These two features would make the $7.99 a week pass much more worth it in my opinion. Love game but..... This game is a perfect game for when you are bored or stressed and you just want to play the piano. I also love how you are able to make your own music on the app. There are a couple of problems in the problems in the game. The first issue is that the game glitches a lot sometimes and I have to shut my phone off a couple of times and that gets annoying. A second issue is that the game takes a while to load once you open it (the longest I ever waited was about 5-8 minutes). A third issue is that if you want to play a song you have to pay for it or use coins which you have to pay for or earn by watching ads (sometimes the ads don’t even load correctly so you can’t watch the video for coins).The songs are also expensive so it’s hard to get songs. A fourth reason is that when ever I click on something I the app there is add. Adds always pop up and one time one was inappropriate(a choices add that had sexual content).Also if you create a song you don’t get to be able to own it you have to pay for it!!! I understand you guys need to make money somehow but still!!!! I like the game but it needs some tweaks for the perfect fun experience.

Horrible ads!. I’ve always enjoyed playing magic piano. Over the years, I’ve had a membership and at other times did not. Currently, I don’t feel I play it enough to justify paying. With that being said, I have noticed some things that make this app not very enjoyable. 1. It takes FOREVER to earn smule coins. Which makes the app not much fun because I feel like I get to play the same songs over and over again. Not cool and not challenging. 2. Under “my songs” I have a bunch of songs which I have either bought or had while having a membership. At this point without clicking on each one there is no way to tell if I’m able to play it or if I need more smule. Confusing. 3. This is the most annoying of all. The ads that I see (which I do feel there are too many of) are not ones that I wish for my kids to see. There are ones that show a doll that is getting beat up and bloodied and tells you you “kick it’s a**” and that this will “relieve your stress”, really?! Not the message I want to send. There are others I have seen that are similar, zombies I believe, and there is a lot of blood. I don’t expect or desire to see these ads, ever, yet alone, over and over again. That needs to be changed or I will have to delete this once great app.

This is my favorite game in the whole world. This is the best game I have ever played in my life I play it all night an day literally I am obsessed with this game. When I saw it I thought it was going to be boring but I played it and I said to myself don’t judge a book by its cover especially this game. Im so bitter. I’m so incredibly disappointed in this app. I used to have it a long time ago and I loved it SO MUCH. it was so soothing and I would play it every night before I went to sleep. But that was on my old iPad, and now it’s incompatible with the app. I had never played it with my phone cause I thought the screen would be too play to play properly (I was right), so I never got it. Then I saw an ad for it and I thought “that would be fun to try again!” WRONG. I’m so mad. The first thing it’s greets me with is “you wanna but a membership that’s way overpriced?”. Then after that I tried to play a song and was bombarded with SO MANY ADS!! Also, I tried to play a song from the little mermaid that had the voice along with it, and it WAS NOT synced up at all!! I used to play the ones with the voice all the time, so I know how it works. I wasn’t doing it wrong. When did this app become such a sell out?!? Literally like 3/4th of the app is all ads. It’s completely ridiculous. I’m so disappointed and frustrated. I just wanted that soothing experience again. Listen Smule, you don’t need all this crap to sell your app. You’re just making people mad. Please give up back what we want.

Multitasking Gesture Problem. I love this game because it’s so fun to play and has a lot of good songs. However, there is one thing the drives me absolutely INSANE! The problem happens whenever I play a song on hard mode, typically when you choose this difficulty you have to play 4 finger notes. On an iPad there is a setting called “Multitasking Gestures” which allows you to switch in between apps using 4 or 5 fingers. So when this setting is on and you’re playing a hard song and try to hit a 4 finger note it pauses the song and tells you to turn off the feature -even if Smule is the only app you have opened! And this isn’t just a one time thing, every time I try to hit a 4 finger note the same warning appears, driving me crazy and ruining the song. I know I could just turn of the Multitasking Gesture in settings but I don’t want to have to turn it on and off every time I play the game. I really hope something is done about this problem because I cannot be the only one experiencing this!

>:(. Alright, so I remembered this app from when I was about 3 years old. My brother had it on his tablet, so I would always ask to play it. Hey, at least back then it was good! But now it’s gone REALLY down hill. There’s an ad every time I finish a song. Then when I go to play a different song, there’s another ad! It’s super annoying when I go to play songs! Also, there is a glitch. When I go to get free Smoola by watching an ad, it doesn’t make the count go up! If there’s a demo after the ad it doesn’t go up, but if there is no demo it will go up. So I basically waste 5 minutes trying to get some more Smoola by watching ads. So maybe try to get the ads WITHOUT demos. Because every single ad I get, there’s always a demo. That’s fine after playing a song, but not when I get free Smoola. It’s really annoying wasting my time which I could spend on better things watching ads. So try to fix this glitch please! Other than that, it’s still kinda good. You can still get songs, and I love composing my own songs, so it’s kinda good. Thank you for reading.

Fingers too big?. So I've only had the app for a couple of hours and I signed up for the free seven day trial. I love the selection of songs, and I played a couple on easy mode and thought they were quite fun. But if I change the difficulty above easy, there are times when I'm asked to hit three notes at once. The two dots off to the right are so close together I can't hit them both at the same time. I put my two fingers together as tightly as possible and tap the screen and it's only registering that I'm hitting one of the dots. I don't have big hands, I'm a woman of average height and average weight so my fingers are not chubby or unusual in any way. I feel like I am missing something. Like there Nice to be an obvious solution then I'm just not noticing. Especially because I don't see anyone else complaining about this problem. Maybe there should be settings I can change to make the dots a little bit further apart so that my fingers can hit them, but I don't see anything like that anywhere. So I really like the song selection and I like the concept of the game and the sound is very nice, so I would give it a higher rating if I could actually Play it above easy. Until I figure out what's wrong and how to fix it this app is useless to me.

Fun to play, but not my style. I’ve downloaded this app on and off lately, for separate reasons. First of all, I hate all of these ads! I mean, sometimes every time you enter a different song, the same ad pops up. So on top of having to watch these stupid ads for different games, it’s the same one over and over and over. It’s so annoying that I’ve purposely turned off my Wi-Fi just to get rid of ads. It’s ridiculous! Second of all, I hate that the achievements give you only one or two coins! I mean, about eighty percent of the songs cost twenty five coins! And you work so hard on a single achievement to only get one coin? It’s stupid! Last but not least, there’s the case of this VIP stuff! I mean, half the songs in the entire app is in the VIP section! And almost all of my favorite songs are in the VIP section! It’s just not fair. Why should we spend our money on some stupid things like VIP memberships when eventually we’re gonna delete the game for all these reasons! Basically what this game- and all games in fact- is saying is that instead of using money to buy exciting things, we’re using it for an online item that isn’t real. It’s ridiculous, it’s stupid, and it’s a waste of money. Even though I somewhat enjoyed the game, all of these things are making my interests go down! Fix these things!

Terrible. This app has gotten worse and worse. There is very rarely any free content created. I have a large library of songs that I accumulated when the app had a bigger variety of free songs, but even I get bored of playing those. So, does that mean I buy a VIP membership? Of course not! It’s super overpriced! To put it into perspective, a year of VIP is $40 which is about as much as a good quality Nintendo DS game. Not only does the Nintendo DS game have more to offer (offense intended) you also get to play it forever. It’s one payment of $40, not $40 a year like Magic Piano. Who in their right mind would buy a VIP subscription to Magic Piano? So, that’s off the table. I should just play the songs I have and get over it right? Or maybe save up smoola to get more. First of all, smoola takes forever to earn. I’ve been playing this game on and off for years and I got enough smoola to buy one song ONCE. Not to mention I had accumulated a lot of smoola at a point (probably over 100) and I opened the app one day and it was gone! The only reason I gave this app any stars at all is because if you’re playing one of the few decent songs you can, it’s really really fun. But it’s a terrible app that begs for money from us and lost what made it so great.

Could be better.... So I remember getting this app back when i was like 5-6 thinking that it would be fun, and it was! I wasn't that good so I just used practice mode to play the songs. I deleted the app because I got Minecraft or something. I got this back because I was really bored and was feeling nostalgic. I have enjoyed it so far and have even published some songs i made. I have 2 problems. 1) Smoola. Everyone is complaining. But it makes sense! You get 1 Smoola per level and only some from achievements. Yet, songs cost 25 or even 75 to play just to get around 450 xp which isn't even a sixth of the xp in 1 level. "Watch an ad for 5" only 1/3 of the time does that work and its not reliable. Could be better like making songs only 15 or making levels give 2-3 Smoola 2) Composer. To be honest you did a pretty good job! Sadly, there are some limits. First lets start with the key signiture. No one uses it. All you do is switch it to Chromatic just to get sharps and flats. Secondly, time signature freedom is nonexistent. If you made it so that the measures were more clear and maybe even show some of the notes in sheet music form it would be easier to use. Thanks for reading. Have fun! AD AND BUG/GLITCH INFESTED APP!!. Used to like the game but maybe if they added an instant replay feature pianist can see where they might have messed up, and also there’s a bug or glitch that makes the songs I purchased with smolda coins via search, the only songs that show up in the “my songs” section is the songs that the app created. It’s really annoying when I can’t play the songs I spent a long time watching ads to get. And also sometimes I sit through a 30-50 second ad and I don’t even get the coins for it, um..... WHATTTTT?!?!?!? I used to really like this game. I played it for hours without any ads and it was fun and enjoyable and all bugs were squashed, but now we have ads around every corner, bug nests everywhere and ads with sexual content, um excuse me but (no offense intended to Smule) who do you think you are?! It’s an app rated 4+ so there should be content that’s appropriate for 4+ aged people. UNACCEPTABLE!! How would you feel, developers of Smule, if your child was playing an app and encounters an ad containing sexual content? I would feel like a bad parent! And if more and more people feel the app makes them feel like bad parents, they’ll delete the app and you’ll loose money! Then what will you do? Just think about that.

Makers of the game, READ THIS!!!!‼️‼️‼️‼️. Hi! My favorite instrument is the piano and I wanted to learn the piano so I thought to myself, “if I want to learn the piano, I could get a piano game!!” So I looked for a piano game and all the other piano apps I downloaded wasn’t free and then I saw this. And I saw it was COMPLETELY free. So I downloaded this game and I loved it right away. I’m not perfect at the piano but this app is making it easier to learn the piano. And I love composer were you get to make your own songs, and my friend has smule to and me like to compose songs and play each other’s songs. But there is one problem. And this problem doesn’t mean I like this game any less, I promise. The problem is all the ads. If I click a song, BAM ad, if I finish a song, BAM ad, randomly, BAM ad. And every one who is making these reviews are complaining about the ads and if everyone is complaining about the ads, why don’t you just take them out? Well, that’s all time I had. bye! Oh, and thank you for making this game! You are the best!!! P.S One question, is this game called “smule” or “ magic piano”? Bye About me: 10 years old, size as a six year old, and loves animals.

Timing....too slow...???!. I love this app, but the one thing I can't stand is when it tells me I'm being too slow.. but I'm trying to play the song the way it sounds.. And it always seems to want to rush me. I'd rather be able to play the song the way it feels in the way it sounds rather than having the app tell me I'm playing too slow. Messing up is one thing, but having a longer pause at the end of that set because you're playing it with feeling is another. I think that should be fixed. Make room for a real or with feeling pause. Also.. I LOVE the community section. However, I think people just messing around makes it hard to find the people who have actually created an amazing piece. That's frustrating. If you want the quality of the app, you pay for it. Have a passion for piano music, you pay for it. People who love it will pay for it. I would love to get rid of the “junk” on it... the songs people create that make no sense. They should have to be approved or something. Keep the crap out.

Apple, and Other Devices. Cloud Nineteen here again; the problems on apple are when you look at songs in previews, it doesn’t show the actual gameplay, and like others have said before, the latency, or the notes don’t sync when you hit them. They are really off, and it makes you lose your combo/streak when you try to hit them. You also Have to spend coins to listen to your own songs, and you can’t even listen to your OWN songs for more than 30 seconds; it just brings you back to the menu screen after listening to it for 30 seconds just like how it does this for every other song in the game. Here are the problems on every device; please stop cutting off the songs when we listen to them in the previews; it’s very annoying, plus, most of the songs we listen to on previews are songs we probably can’t even play in the first place since it requires so much smoola for just one song, so all we can do is just listen to 30 seconds of a song because of it. Another problem on every device is that you can play bot your levels; you can just press play on one of your songs, and it will count it as a play when you look into your level again, and, you can open someone’s song in “Composer,” not even edit anything, and still publish it because you can just add one note, delete it, and then publish it, and it will work; also, for some reason, starting on November 25th, you’re not able to preview and publish your levels anymore; it keeps saying that there is a problem, and to please try again.

It is okay, BUT could be better!!!. I believe that Magic Piano is a good app. It is fun and creative.., and I really like the fact that people have the opportunity to compose songs ^-^... however, there are some huge problems about this app -.-... To begin with, there are SERIOUSLY WAYYYYY too many advertisements. (No exaggeration) There is an ad EVERY single time I finish a song. Also, when I select a free song (Or even one of mY songs!¡!) to play, an ad/video pops up. I think this is very annoying and makes me a lottt less interested to play the game. Another problem is that since a lot of the songs are not free, it is really hard to buy songs when you barely have any smoolas. It is so hard to get smoolas because (i don't know if this is just me) every time i complete those free offers to get smoolas, it NEVER works. Back in the olden days where the compose magic piano update was long gone, the offers would actually work and reward me... Magic Piano was not that bad a while ago, but now, its progress is going downhill :(

Isn’t worth it if you don’t pay VIP. I’ve used this app since 2012 and it’s definitely changed over the years. Before there were no adds and it was easier to gain Smoola. Now it’s really not worth playing if you aren’t going to pay for it, there is an INSANE amount of adds, and saving up money takes a while so it’s hard to get songs, at least the ones that aren’t VIP only anyways. I pay for the app and honestly it’s not that horrible in price if you’re going to actually spend time with it. There’s no adds and you can basically play whatever you want. I like that you can add whatever songs or search for literally anything from others who have added songs. For some reason or another (probably the lack of the plague of adds) the VIP version runs super smoothly in comparison and I haven’t experienced any glitching, which honestly surprises me. Basically, if you don’t want to pay for it save yourself the frustration. If you do, it’s a great app.

I used to love it.... So I've had this app probably since I was 15 when I first got my iPhone 6, and it was addicting up until now. Okay so last night every single song I have showed 3 stars next to each level of difficulty that I have played at, and just a few minutes ago when I went to open the app, ALL of my songs showed no stars highlighted, no scores, no nothing. Like I just bought them or composed them and haven't even started playing them yet. I am really angry. 😡😡 Also there are just too many ads. 👎🏻 Every ten seconds after I finish a song, a stupid ad pops up about some coloring book or food game and it's really annoying. 😤 Also I really hate how the majority of everyone's favorite songs nowadays can't be played unless you have a VIP membership accessibility. It's ridiculous. I feel that VIP membership to play a song on Magic Piano should be banned, because you know, there are not very many VIP members in the world. I'm seriously thinking about deleting this app from my phone for permanent. I've not only had to deal with the troubles I stated above, but I've also had to deal with the app freezing up, songs I compose that won't let me publish no matter what I do, and Daily Challenge songs taking decades to load and then refreshing the app only for it to crash every time I reopen it. It's getting really frustrating and I can't take it any longer. 🚫

its fun but not.... ive had the game for about 7 or 8 years and have had a lot of fun with it. but its just kinda lost its spark. i mean ads are ducked up you HAVE to dupe a song if u want it and it hasn't been updated in i think 4 or 5 years. Now do note the last time i wrote a review they fixed ( for about 2 months anyways) one of the major problems i rambled about in that review. buuuuut here i am... again 1) you can’t get any in game currency unless you buy it. end of story. you can waste your time watching ads but it will give you nothing this means the only my way to get a song and stay interested is to dupe it. which is technically stealing 2) all songs are duped. on my pricing i’ve got almost 130 songs. i only made about 4 of them. but you have to do this to be able to use the app. ( for those who don’t know his to avoid ads just look up free song magic piano on yt) overall id say that ads need to not be the main way to get in game currency. there is a daily competition where you can get double points for about 24 hours. your score should give you points. whenever you play a song could give you points. they just need to revamp it or its gonna die. i know technically it already is but i see a few pol here like me who dont want to get rid of it but at some point or another will when problems keep arising. smule if you are reading this stop focusing on sing and pay a little attention to us please

Too many Ads now! Poor song selection. I'm finally irritated enough to write this review. This use to be my favorite app, hands down. So fun and included challenges and current music. However, now there are so many ad disruptions. Playing a new tune, first an ad....playing a song you have already paid for, first an ad.... playing a free song made by another user, first an ad. It's ridiculous. Now, I barely play it, unless I have time and patience to sit through five ads in less than ten minutes. Total sell out move, btw Smule. I wouldn't mind buying it, but a monthly fee is charged with an auto subscription, or you have to sign up for a slippery trial offer. Not a good deal. Also, there use to be new songs made by Smule that were free. Now, it's the same songs over and over made by different users-Chasing Cars, Gravity Falls Theme, Hokage's Death, Hallelujah, What a Wonderful World.....seriously! It's been those songs for at least a year now. Change it up a bit and I don't mean different Smule user composers. That comes off pretty cheap and makes me wonder what I would get from allowing you to charge my card every month if I signed up.

UUGGHH SO ANNOYING!! ADS?!?. So many ads!! I know it helps the company, but there’s so much to were I get out of the game because of them. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game (kinda addicted) but I redownloaded the game the other day, and I don’t remember the game having so much ads. I mean cmon. I get on the app, ad, when I pick a song that I’ve already watched 40 million ads for, ANOTHER AD, and even when I get done playing a song..guess what, ANOTHER AD!!! cmon smule, where’s the game that I enjoyed without getting all these stupid ads. Plus, it’s like the same ads everyday. I’m okay with ads (because every game has them). Buttttt when they interrupt EVERY SINGLE TIME I PLAY, then I’m either gonna delete the game I love, or give y’all a review and hope y’all address and fix the problem. :) Yes, I understand y’all benefit from ads, but surely for how many people play yalls apps, and how many ads y’all have on a game in general, I think y’all are good on money. There are things that need to be improved. I really do like the game a lot, which may seem weird considering my 3-star rating. It’s just there are a few things about this game that make it less enjoyable. One: how hard it is to make Smoola. Honestly I’ve just given up on leveling entirely because I’m only getting 1 smoola every time I level up! You may say that you’re making up for it by giving us songs when we level up instead of Smoola, but I’m sorry, not all of us WANT to play classic songs. It was much better when you got 25 Smoola for leveling up, because it felt more rewarding and we could actually get the songs we want. Two: WAYYYYYY too many ads. I don’t want to see an ad every time I finish playing a song. I’ve actually had to find ways to avoid getting the ads just so I don’t have to watch them, but then I don’t get the XP for the song I just played. Maybe you should just leave the ads in the get more Smoola area. Three (and this is the biggest one in my opinion): The fact that it pauses any time I press the screen with four fingers. Ok, it makes sense that the pause screen would be sensitive if I push hard on the screen, but it’s doing it almost every single time I use four fingers, making it almost IMPOSSIBLE to play certain songs and enjoy them because it’s pausing every two seconds. Maybe you should make it so that the pause screen isn’t so sensitive to touch and there’s just an actual button to pause it, because this is getting really annoying.

TOO MANY ADS. I love this game so much but what stops me from playing it is the amount of ads you get. When you go to play a song, there's an ad and when you go to leave that same song, there's another ad. This happens every single time. Please lower the amount of ads or put none at all.

Okay.. It’s very fun to play! But the only thing this bothers me is that, when I do 4 fingers at I he bottom, IT ALWAYS shows me me the exit, restart whatever button. I try do it in other places but, it still keeps popping up. SERIOUSLY, this is bothering me, I can’t even complete one hard stage in the song Happier. And also may occur in other songs. Also when I watch a video to get free coins, I watch the video and come back receiving no coins. Please fix this.

Limited songs. I love the game but can’t afford VIP, so I have 5 sub-par free songs and 6-7 really good ones I bought with in game money from watching adds and achievements, unfortunately the adds no longer work, like, i watch the add but it doesn’t give me money, and the achievements are impossible and give you practically nothing. So I’m stuck playing the same songs over and over, a better way to do it would be to give players a small amount of coins for every song they do or if they get all perfects or something. Or maybe if you could go back and play the daily song whenever after completing it on the day since this would encourage people to always play the daily song. Love the game anyway but it would be nice -A Human

Excellent. This game is so awesome and I’m only on day two! You can make songs you can play them and there are really cool songs on it like FRIENDS by Anne Marie and Havana by Camilla Cabello and so more oh and of course there are songs from the greatest showman! I recommend this app for people who just like listening to music😍🎼

AMAZING!!!!!! But... This is one of the most addicting games I’ve ever played. It’s really fun, AND you learn how to play piano in composer. This is four stars because...ADS! There a way too many ads. I get one every time I start a song, and every time I end a song. It’s kind of annoying. And could you make some of the songs less expensive? Like 10 coins instead of 25-75 coins? One more thing, sometimes when I watch ads to get more Smoola, it only lets me do it once. After that, I watch ads expecting to get 5 more Smoola, but it doesn’t give it to me! But that only takes away one star. This is an amazing game!! Good luck in the future!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂😀😀😀😀😄

Good for people who play piano. I love this game because it gives you lessons on how to play the piano and some games are connected to it teaching people how to sing, play guitar any musical instrument and that’s why I love it so much. I have always wanted to play the piano and see what it’s like until I found this app and used it to practise piano and I have now started performing it in front of my parents!😃

Good But....... It is a good app. And u can learn to like know what key is being played and like stuff like that but there are to many ads and I am getting a little annoyed because I’ve watched more ads then I’ve played songs I also find it annoying when u level up u only get one samoola thing I think u should get at least 25 so u can get a new song. And with the complete a survey and get 127 samoola I filled out about 12, 40 question surveys and got 0 samoola so... I just want Fricking samoola!!!!!! And 0 adds! I personally think that they should make the app cost money and the people who have already got the app get it free and then they will be getting paid instead of having sponsors always sponsoring their app and then the app creator doesn’t need to find a sponsor all the time. Songs should be free!!, I personally think that songs should be free because then people including kids get a turn at using the app as well and not have to pay their parents money or watch a heap of adds to get money. I know that some songs are free but wouldn’t it be Great if they could all be free

I am obsessed. I absolutely obsessed with this app. It is so much fun. I love how you can get different songs and that there are different modes. The modes make it so that you use a different amount of fingers. I also love how you can have a quick or slow song. It is so good how you don’t pay for songs but instead earn them. The only thing I dislike is the ads☹️ they are the worst!!!! There are way too many. Other than that though it is amazing

Game used to be the best thing on the appstore, had a ton of free songs and they rotated in new free songs all the time, and you earned coins to buy new songs pretty frequently Now there is a 30 second to minute ad BEFORE AND AFTER EVERY SINGLE SONG, a lot of the songs are now "VIP" only when they used to be purchasable with regular coins or just free sometimes in the case of some of the disney songs (which almost all are now "VIP") So for a 2 and a half minute song you have to sit through a full minute or more of ads, you have access to almost no songs, and the best songs you cant even earn by playing you have to pay for vip which is a ridiculous subscription for a music game app This is a game that relies on whales to support itself while cutting out and screwing over all the other players

Addictive. So over not being able to play the songs that I've collected.. even after completing all stars, really annoyed that even though I really enjoy this app, still give it a high rating... nothing will change about being able to play your songs in "MY SONGS" list... pfft yeah my songs.. good one.

I have always loved this game but..... I have been playing this ever since I got an iPhone in fact I played this game on a iPhone 4s anyways back to the point, my in game currency brought songs don’t always show up it’s odd but I like to play songs I actually know not amazing grace or raindrop prelude which I’m not sure if I even spelled it correctly. The point is I love this app and always will, I’m not sure if it’s a bug or if the game thinks I’m offline but last I checked I’m online so.... if I could get this fixed I would be happy Thanks

I like this app. I love this app and it has great songs! The only problem I with it is.. and no, it’s not ads or the fact you have to pay money to play some songs, it’s just whenever I go in the app, it takes FOREVER for me to load in, it may not happen to you but it happens to me. Other than that I love this app

Smule, the fall. I remember this game, back when I was young, I used to have a lot of fun, downloading loads of free songs and playing them until perfection, there was a lot of free songs back then. I don’t have my old iPad with loads of songs on it, but now I have a new one, I can go back to playing, right? Wrong. I decided to visit this childhood toy, and realised, it’s changed, a lot. Now, most of the songs that used to be free you now have to purchase, and you are absolutely bombarded with bombs the minute you get in. This used to be fun, but now? I won’t recommend to anyone.

Ads. I love the concept of how you play the music but there is only 1 problem. The ADS!!! Guys I am not even exaggerating or anything. There it literally a ad before you play a song, and after you play a song every time. So for every song you play you must watch 2 ads. Like not even games that aren’t popular try to fit in so many ads. How much money do you guys want to make. Nobody likes this game or app (whatever you wanna class it as) because of the ads. I really love this game but could you just go lighter on ads. I am actually uninstalling the game just because of the ads. If it wasn’t for the ads I would be playing this 24 7. Get ready to dance!. Magic Piano is a great game, and really addicting. It’s so much fun, and a bit challenging. There are a variety of pieces, so you can find a lot of your favourite songs in there! The only downside is that the game has too many ads. Most of my time playing the game was watching ads, ads and more ads! It sort of ruins the experience. I would recommend it, but I would probably warn people about the ads.

Good if you have money. While the subscription isn’t a whole lot of money I don’t find this app worth paying a subscription for. There are better things to be spending money on regularly, and since I have this train of thought, I can’t play the game. I have no hope of ever progressing because I have maybe 6 free songs. I much prefer the old way where you paid for “smoolas” and bought songs you wanted that way. It meant I could do the occasional “irresponsible spend” instead of having to commit to a subscription. I also had more songs to choose from! I hope Smule eventually listen and become less greedy.

It’s okay. this app is not the worst and it does allow you to get one free song that you would usually have to pay for as a reward and you can get other songs for free and you get smule coins so you can save them up and buy a song. However this app takes way to long to load. Just now I waited over 8 minutes and it didn’t load.

Great game, but.... This is a great game and has a large variety. It’s also great for those who want to experience the piano sound and can’t have one in the house. I just have one suggestion for the authors. Maybe put in a metronome? It’ll help people to keep time since the notes arrive at various speeds. Apart from that, this is a great game that I would recommend to others.

Great if you love ads. Great skills game & the variety of shorts/free play rotation was quite good before recent updates. Don’t know how many songs there are in the ‘library’. But it was so good to play I got friends to get it too! Sometimes the patterns don’t match up with the audio and it’s unclear if you’re supposed to tap when the patterns are on the line or have passed the line, but that could be those composed by others? There’s categories but there are ineffective filters (for example - just have to scroll through everything; can’t find a list of ‘purchased’ songs; can’t remove songs in languages I can’t read from the song selections). We considered buying because there are waaaaaay too many ads (2-3 beginning and end of every song) and even if you just reselect a song you have to watch the ads all over again. Just can’t justify the heavy slug in the wallet for that. More likely to delete & look elsewhere.

Magic piano. I like the app magic Piano but I would like to be aware that some other kids aren’t able to play some songs so it would be nice if you could help them with the finger touch. Thank you for your time making this app I really appreciated it.

GAME DEVELOPER PLEASE READ!!!!! 😩 🙏. I love 💖 this game it is so addictive and fun and I would of rated it a 5 but there is one ☝️ insy problem I would like you to try and fix. PLEASE!!! I am not a vip and I am not allowed Facebook so the only way I can get smooles (is that what there called?) is to watch videos. Now this is a good way but it only works for me 40% of the time! 😢😭 What happens is I press on the “watch video to get 5 smooles” button and watch the video, if it works it says “you got 5 smooles} but if it doesn’t a weird loading symbol pops up where my smooles are and when it finishes loading I have the same amount as I did before I watched the add. 😥 As I said I love 💖 this game but I would love it even more if you could please fix this glitch! There are SOME glitches. I absolutely love it but whenever I play I like me better by Lauv on hard mode every time i use the for fingers it goes on pause and it gets really frustrating but other than that it’s really good but there’s one more thing why make such a variety of songs that you need to you smoola or whatever it’s called and V.I.P for when you could just have it all from the start my mom was right I was ALL for the MONEY that’s why I don’t like games that make the pop-up ads and say get V.I.P for 6 months or 12 months or 3 months or $45 and so and so and so which is why I gave it a 3 star and another reason is because it’s that amazing it’s just like the other apps great game-maker wannabes and that’s all I have to say I mean write

Best Piano Game!. This game is super fun and I have been showing it to my class every week! Though…the ‘report’ button is right next to ‘back to songbook’. I keep pressing ‘report’ accidentally instead which makes me feel bad to the creator. And most of the time I press it on my favourite songs to play, so if you can move the report button into a corner or on the top, that would help a heap. Either than that, best piano game that I have played!

Went downhill long ago. When this app was released you could buy the currency for money. There were no ads unless you wanted to watch one to get some smoola. Every song could be bought and once you bought it it was yours. No ads. No subscription. You guys do realise the sub is over priced right? It costs more than basic Netflix. And what is it for? Some beatmaps and vocals provided by your user base. The songbook is unwieldy. Let it remember where you were between songs. Let us sort by number of times played. Show our top score. Let us favourite songs The scrolling accelerates way too much when there are gaps in the song, and then punishes players for playing consistently. The jams don’t have this problem.

Love the game! Just a small issue :/. The app is absolutely amazing, however I occasionally encounter an issue when playing difficult songs. Whenever I use four fingers, the pause screen comes up, interrupting my game and ultimately resulting in a lower score. I’m not sure why this happens, but if anyone knows how to prevent this from happening it’d be much appreciated, or in a future update they could potentially remove this feature. ☺️

Ads Magic Ads Piano Ads Ads. This is a great app, it's lots of fun, well designed and has a vast array of songs that you can actually earn very easily by playing more; however, I will not be playing more because there are simply too many ads to make the experience enjoyable. Here is a breakdown of how many ads you get: Click a song [Ad] Song starts...Finish song [Ad] Click on song [Ad] Song starts... You essentially get 2 ads between every song you pick. I could pay for the app (it's a subscription) and really I'm not going to pay now simply because of the amount of ads that I was bombarded with. So spite for the ads is really what stops me from paying for this game because it feels like the creators are trying to annoy me into buying the app. I have a simpler solution: uninstall.

Fun, but buggy. Pretty fun but I’ve picked up on some bugs. When composing, even though I’m only tapping one note, it keeps adding other ones. Very frustrating. Also very laggy. The devs probably won’t change this and I understand why but it really bothers me how difficult it is to get smoola. Either way they’re getting paid - through ads or through purchase of in game currency, but it’d be nice if it were easier to get them because the whole point of the game is to play songs

Ads!. The amount of ads on this app is borderline unbearable. It’s one ad after the other and sometimes I get an ad even if I haven’t played a song but left the app open for long. The music selection is not great, at least the free ones. The rest is asking for too many coins to unlock ONE song. Not to mention the outrageous cost for a monthly pass. I remember it once used to cost you $5 dollars for a week pass and now it only allows you to pay close to $30 dollars just for a monthly pass. Again, very ridiculous pricing for an app that I ACTUALLY find enjoyable if not for the insane amount of ads and limited song selection. It’s a pity you got to spend an arm and leg for decent song selection and also forgo your sanity just to put up with the ads.

Thank you for this fun game! But.... I love this game and I really do appreciate the time taken to make this. But I, and many many others, are considering to stop playing because of the stupid amount of ads. I understand that smule most likely promotes ads due to being supported by them but... it's driving me nuts. Sorry but there are TOO MANY. You don't have to get rid of them all together, but you DO need to reduce them. I suggest using picture ads instead of video ads. They would be easier to handle. Also, as many have mentioned. It is very difficult to earn coins for more songs. Gaining XP is so very hard to do! So please, concerning us players, please please please reduce the ads and make it a little to earn coins.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP, but.... For some reason when I try to go into the app, it takes forever to load, but it never does. Please update your game if you have to. If I have to reinstall the app, I would never. I made really good songs on this app and I don’t want to give them up! Please bring the game back to life! But overall, this game is amazing :)

Too many Ads. There is an ad before and after you play any song and it’s absurd. Plus the fact that most songs you need to use smoola, which the easiest way to get them is through ads. I try to play offline just to avoid the ads but then only like 1/3 of my songs show up in my list that I can play offline while the others need to be online to play. Love the game but the ads is just ridiculous.

Magic piano. I love this game so much and I love it so much that I want to play it all over again every single day! But I'm always at school. My dream is to become a piano champion, because I have a big heart for music. I really want to hit the highest level in the game, and then i become a piano star and I can really start using my fingers. Alright.. It’s okay. The game is really just about the beat, not so much about accurate finger placement. But that allows for you to play any song you don’t know. Some things that get real annoying real fast is where you tap with four fingers and it pauses the song (seems to happen almost every time I do it) which is super annoying and means you miss out on points, and because it pops up so suddenly, you might be playing and press down meaning to tap the next notes, but you tap “restart” and the whole song restarts. And sometimes the songs I bought with the in game currency don’t load. I have to reload the game every time this happens. Oh yeah and be prepared to endure a 30 second ad before and after each free song, each time you play it.

I love the game but. I love this game. It’s amazing BUT! Unless I delete it an download it again, I can’t play. For the first time after I download it, I can play it but after I close the app and go back to play it the next day, it won’t load. This has happened quite a lot but other than that it’s a great game. Please fix this

Warning: Lots of ads. For anyone who wants to get this game get ready for ads to pop up constantly. Every single time you finish playing a song there is an ad that pops up every time without fail. When you click on a song there are ads that come up only sometimes. You have to pay for songs you want not with your own real money but you get money by leveling up. Each level up you get $1 and songs cost around $25 or higher. I am very disappointed in this game because of the amount of ads if there was less ads I would definitely love it and rate it higher.

Good different!. I really love the game and I’d like to point out a difference from other games with the coins. Unlike Many other games, it makes coins rarer, and prices cheaper. I mean, when you level up, why give them 50 coins to save up for that 2500 coin song when you can give them one or two to save up for a 25 coin song. It makes it so much easier to understand! Good work Smule! Ps. Please give the ads a break. They are getting annoying.

Re edited songs are annoying. I’ve had this app for a year or so but I have found one issue with it. I don’t have any vip or anything but I saved up and bought a song with the smule currency and I had it for supposedly forever. However it disappeared from ‘my songs’ and I couldn’t find it. Then had I only realised that the person who wrote had re edited and I have to buy it AGAIN. 😕 Please be aware that after you buy a song from someone, re editing can cause the song to be lost Fix it 🙏🏻

Rip off!. Don’t get VIP. I played VIP for ages and reached the highest level in 2015. Since then I stopped being a VIP. There is the promise of more levels to come yet there hasn’t been any new levels. I can’t earn stars even on the free play music. The music I unlocked as a VIP was no longer available to me. So now I am very limited to what I can play and have no hope of progressing. I can’t even reset the app to start again. When will you honour your word Smule? You have had four years to provide more levels and you’ve taken all the VIP money and there’s nothing! Shame on you!

Two problems. 1. Ads. They are so annoying. Even to play the songs I own there is an ad before and after. I used to be able to ignore them when I played this game all the time but now i just can't stand them. Please remove the ads. 2. Coins system. It is practically impossible to get new songs if they're not free. Levelling up takes a long time and you only get a few coins - barely enough to buy a song. Otherwise there is no other way to get coins other than watching ads in the offers section for ages. This game is amazing but these two things are what made me stop playing.

AMAZING APP 🤩. I love this piano game because of the wide range of songs to choose to play on the smile piano. I like how it is easy to learn unlike a real piano. Although it is a great app and lets u play lots of songs on the piano, there are loads of ads, and it’s really annoying. Other than that if you want to play a piano that is easy to learn, this game is definitely the one to get.

Isn’t Worth It. The concept of this game is good, however there are too many ads and the game isn’t worth playing unless you are willing to spend a lot of money on it. The amount of ads in this game is unbearable. There is always an ad straight after I finish a song and before I start a song most of the time. I understand that there will be ads in a game unless you are willing to pay money to get rid of them, however, the amount of ads you see in this game is ridiculous. Also, to access most of the songs on this game, you need to pay for them, as there isn’t a large selection of free songs. It gets boring playing the same selection of songs over again. I’m not saying that the actual game is bad, because I really like the concept of it, the design, the controls etc., I just don’t like the amount of ads they put in and the amount of money they want you to pay for songs.

VIP isn’t worth the money. I have been using this app for, years probably. And I’ve loved it. Long story short I have a chronic illness and wanted access to more songs so I’d be occupied so I paid for the monthly membership. Which was great because I had access to so many songs and I loved that. But its expensive and I have medical bills to pay for. So I had to cancel my subscription. And since all the songs I had played were on ‘my song’ list i assumed I’d be able to keep playing them since I paid for the vip and now they were on my song list. But nope. I cannot play a single song on my song list now even though they are their, i cannot access them. And their is no way I am now going to pay $5 a week which is $20 a month to play those songs. It was $13 a month when I got my vip membership and now its $20. That’s insane. I wouldn’t be so mad if I still had access to the songs on my list but I don’t so what’s the point of me even playing now? Their is no point. Their aren’t enough free songs to play, a majority of them now require the membership. So before hand I would have rated 5 stars but now its probably not even worth 2 stars.

Add ons. I think that this app is awesome except some songs I want to play I have to get smule!? So I think that you shouldn’t have to do that, I think that you should just be allowed to play. And also you should make it a full wi-fi free game so you can search things up and get a full answer without wi-fi. Other than that I think it is a great app and I recommend it to anyone who is learning the piano. 🎹

Please refine the tap sensitivity. I have played this game quite thoroughly over the years and thus have come to the skill level of playing faster tunes. The touch sensitivity is quite ridiculous to say the least. I constantly get “too many fingers” reminders and the like. It would make the game much more enjoyable if things like this would be looked into, as this has been on ongoing issue for quite some time. However I still love and enjoy the game very much 😊

I’m so annoyed. So I got the game again for some fun and realised I could get the free trial, so I did, after getting it tho I couldn’t find a way to cancel the deal in game. I deleted it thinking it would cancel my free trial membership.. but it didn’t and i lost frickin $30, the details about getting a membership and how to cancel are so unclear and you can’t find them anywhere within the game, because of this I lost $30 and I don’t think I’ll ever be playing the game again cos this is so dumb, you have to go into ur Apple ID acc and then subscriptions to cancel it- this was very unclear and perhaps done on purpose to get some extra money. Not happy.

Fun but musically inaccurate. I’ve been playing this game since it came out, and while I love the selection of music and playing the music, I find the games own sense of rhythm very frustrating. Rather than approaching the line at a proper tempo, the notes go by your own sense of rhythm, and completely ignore rests in the music. A song often only sounds “right” when there is a constant string of notes coming. Any chords with gaps in between approach immediately after another and sound weird. This makes it incredibly difficult to play - and is hilarious since they already realised this was an issue when they had to create a proper rhythm system in the jam feature so it matches singers! Which would be fun to use if it weren’t so frustratingly precise. It goes against everything I was trained for within the app. Why not combine the best of both, have a consistent rhythm but the feature of tapping anywhere on screen? Overall I enjoy the app, but as a person who enjoys music it is frustrating to listen to, and the game rewards you for playing a song wrong.

Monthly subscription warning. I singed up for the ‘free’ monthly subscription, i couldn’t find any information on later payments, so i expected that it was just a trial for one month. I found i didn’t enjoy the game, and deleted it. Two months later, my iTunes balance was $0.06. It turns out that you have to cancel the subscription, even if it is in the one month trial to stop smile from taking money straight from you iTunes account.

Amazing App!. I bought this game so I can improve my skills for piano/keyboard. I love it but one slight problem that I have been getting, every time I join it, it works but the second time I join it won’t work and will take forever to load! I don’t know if it is only me that has been getting this problem but if you can, may you fix it?

Outrageous. What a waste of time! The amount of advertisements I have to watch in this game is atrocious! I would click on a song, and almost instantly a 30 second ad pops up. I watched a few ads for ‘free game money’ (five ‘smoolas’ an ad), and remained with the same amount of money. Please fix this as is is very frustrating and annoying. The songs also cost WAY TO MUCH money. $25 - $75 for a song? Come on! It’s not easy to get more money, so how are you to afford songs you like? All the songs I’m in to are way too expensive, and because I can’t watch the advertisements, I can’t get money as fast. I am very confused and angry with this, please fix the problem.

Love this app but the ads for VIP?. I’ve been a VIP user of this app for years and I love it but it used to be 5 star. Now immediately after listening to a song I’ve uploaded( to see if it’s good enough to share) on Magic Piano I get targeted with Smule Sing or Smule Karaoke ads. I pay for VIP so I can choose what to watch and listen to and I’m annoyed this takes away from that. Annoying!!!

this game sucks. too many ads, songs are so hard to get, everything needs to be paid for. was hard when I played it as a kid and it’s still hard - overall boring. Some songs are also composed pretty badly as well

Problem : Too many ads!. It’s not a good game, but a fine or bad one. I enjoy playing the songs but there are so many ads. Every time, after I play a song, I get an ad. They are really annoying and some of them are inappropriate. Kids play this game, you know? And I’m not paying actual money to remove them. I don’t recommend spending any money on this game at all. It’s just a game, and it’s worse if you need to watch an ad after every frickin song you play. Smules’ going to lose players because of ads. 3.4/10. Don’t download.

It’s a great game, but.... This game is awesome, but I have one problem. And that’s with composer, I’ve got the vip pass and with that, I’ve got so many songs mostly a few a songs and then the rest are copies, which is another problem on its own that I’m not going into, but like I was saying. Composer has a problem and that’s how many notes there are, I’m trying to compose a melody from the movie Surfs Up, called Legends and has 36 black notes 52 white notes as is for most songs I watch on YouTube, where is also I just copy what I compose since I’m not really good at piano and can’t tell where to put notes😅 but that’s getting off track, Smule piano only has 30 black notes and 43 white notes, please adjust this to have enough notes to actually play a song right.

Problème de compositeur. Depuis la dernière mise à jour, je ne suis plus en mesure de pouvoir mettre à jour mes travaux fait à partir du compositeur et ce malgré la désinstallation et la réinstallation de l’appli. J’ai envoyé un email au support de Smule il y a un mois et toujours rien de corriger. Ça va faire 4 mois que je ne joue plus à cause de ça. Si ça pourrait être corriger, je mettrais au moins 2 étoiles de plus.

Love it! One small issue though. Well, technically two, but they fit together as one. In your game, most of the songs you either have to pay with a subscription for a month, a week, or a year, but you could also pay a certain amount of in-game currency to collect these songs. One system that fails is that it is hard to get coins in the game, with the only ways to achieve them are levelling up or achievements. There is also the composer feature as well, but has a very poor playgerism scan, for example one could open a song in the composer feature, change one note, then change it back to its original note, and publish the song for free. This is a failed system of non playgerizing. Love the game otherwise.

So many ads :/. okay, so the game itself is great! it’s super fun and the graphics are super pretty, but there are DEFINITELY things i would improve. first, please PLEASE make more free songs, or make it quicker/easier to earn coins. second— AND THIS IS A BIG REASON I GAVE THIS 3 STARS— it is soooo annoying to have to watch an ad every freaking 3 seconds! every time i want to play anything, an ad pops up. every time i finish playing and want a reward, BOOM, an ad! please cut it down😭. it’s very annoying.

I feel cheated. I honestly really enjoyed this app for a while, kept me busy. So I decided to get the premium account; now that it’s expired, not only am I not able to play the songs that I already acquired but it’s asking me to pay ‘’smoola’’ for songs that I already payed for. total rip off, total scam. And way too over priced. Why would anyone in their right mind continue to pay 4 dollars cad per week just to pass time on an arcade game. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!

Horrible money system. this app is a cool idea and fun to play but they have created a horrible system for money. You basically can’t earn any coins at all. You can only buy new songs by paying for coins or doing online questionnaires? This game purposely has a broken money system and is unplayable

Awful. The grind for currency is absurd, and levelling up is sluggish at best. Choose another piano app to use.

Too much publicity. I do not recommand this game because you have to listening to pub every song (before and after) and can't access to the advance level without paying.

Problems With Smoola.... Other Than That a Good App. I have had this game for quite a long time, and I have used a lot of smoola to buy me a lot of songs. But for a while now, when I am trying to watch ads to get me 5 smoola tokens, I will go through the ad and it will not give me any smoola. I just though it was a glitch, I watched just enough ads to get me enough smoola for the game (even though it still said my beginning amount, which was 8) and I tried to buy the song (which was 25 smoola) and it said I didn’t have enough of smoola to buy it. This disappoints me because that’s really the only way I get smoola to buys songs, and now I am always stuck with 8... other than that weird glitch/fact... it’s a pretty decent game! They don’t have every song on there, but they have a lot of good songs still! I would recommend just don’t always rely on the ads to give you smoola.

This app has gone downhill.. I used to thoroughly enjoy this app, but it has become consistently worse as time has gone on. There used to be occasional ads, which are understandable, as you do have to make money, but now there are ads before and after almost every song. In similar fashion, you used to be able to play your songs offline, however now, to foster more advertising, no doubt, you must be online to play. Songs you purchase also have developed a nasty tendency of disappearing from one’s list of songs, and are still playable without purchase if you search for them, however this is annoying when you just wish to scroll through yours songs and play one, and it disappeared without your knowing. There was a time I’d have rated this app 5 stars, but due to increasing problems that add up, I’m giving it 2. I’m going to keep it downloaded in case updates fix any of these problems, but for now I’m going to stop playing, so they don’t get advertising money that I don’t think they deserve off of me.

Ads, Smoola, and VIP blocks make it very hard to enjoy. WAY too many ads. Want to play a free song? Ad. Finish playing a song and want to play next difficulty? Ad. Want to do literally anything? AD. STOP WITH ALL THE ADS. Also Smoola (in-game currency) are almost impossible to get! You might get one when you level up which takes forever to do, and half the time when you try to watch an ad to get some for free it crashes the app and/or you don't get anything out of it other than a cruddy ad for an app no one with an iq over 0 is interested in. About 70-80% of the songs are unavailable to play without paying for VIPmembership, which just wouldn't be worth it for an already low-quality game. It's supposed to be a simple relaxing game, but all the issues make it more frustrating than it's worth. Lots of problems and each update only says "bug fixes" and makes no discernible changes. I played this as a kid and don't remember this many ads. I actually enjoyed it then but not so much now.

I love it!- but I absolutely hate it.... It looks like SEVERAL people who have written a review about this app, share the same opinions about the overabundance of advertisements, the ridiculous amount of money it costs to even unlock songs, so you can actually use this app, and finally, the whole VIP membership thing; Smule is ALREADY doing everything they can to get you to spend money on this app, you basically have a "free trial" game, unless you decide to spend real world money on dumb coins to buy one, two songs maybe?- So in order to really play this game (and I must say this game IS a lot of fun once you find a way to simply bypass all of the ads and such) you must pay for either, coins, or go for the VIP membership. If the developer of this app happens to read this, I want you to know that deep down under all the ads and almost required in-app purchases, this is an incredibly fun game. It's like guitar hero but better because you can compose your favorite songs!

Fun game but ridiculous amount of ads and prices. Fun game to play but it’s ridiculous that you have to watch an ad after nearly every song when you use the free version. Also ridiculous how you’re required to watch ads in order to earn “smoola”.’ Almost no point even have the game for the free version because there are barely any songs that aren’t classical you can play for free and there’s no way to earn more songs by playing, you have to watch ads. $9.99 a week is insane. Might as well just make it a game that costs money to download because after a week of having the free version, I feel frustrated every time I open the app and can only play the same songs unless I want to sit there and watch ads to earn points to play new songs. Maybe people would feel more enticed to buy the membership if you weren’t basically forced to in order to play new songs.

Went downhill. I’ve had this app for years and recently downloaded it again, only to be filled with disappointment. There are ads galore... before playing songs, after playing songs, and even in between ads in order to get more smoola. That’s another thing, the app is almost forcing you to pay to have more songs because you can’t even do actions to get more smoola to buy more songs. I’ve tried multiple surveys, inviting friends, watching an unhealthy amount of ad videos, you name it. I should be filthy stinking rich, but there is no reward for doing any of the actions that the app promises will be rewarded with smoola. The only way to get money to purchase more songs is by 1) paying for VIP which I, a broke college student, will not bring myself to do 2) getting 1 whopping smoola after leveling up.. that’s a lot of daily challenges and repetition of the few songs I already own. Overall, I am very unhappy with the changes this app has made and it brings me more pain than joy to game during my quarantine

Pretty awesome!. This game is so addicting and fun, it's cool that other players can make their own songs and compose actual real songs too!👍😁 But most the time they get the song wrong and don't do it right and mess up the song they are actually trying to make...but it's ok. Some songs people compose are actually very good👍. Also, it makes a bigger song selection.😀It is really hard to get money though, you have to watch a 20 sec. ad to get at least 5 smoola (money). Ads are really sooo annoying!😒😔 Recently there has been an ad every time I play a song (Finish a song). Pretty annoying! Problems: - Too many ads - Someone should check bad, incorrect, or songs that aren't really...songs... Overall, this game is so simple, yet challenging...which makes it so fun! 😀

It used to be good. This app has been great the last, I don’t know, 6 years? I’ve had this app for the longest time and always enjoyed it. But it has just gone downhill. Recently I deleted the app and reinstalled it because I was having some problems with it. When it was reinstalled, however, I could not log into my account! The screen would not fit in my phone, I could not reach the email box to type in my email. So all my songs and coins were gone. This was a major problem to me, since I’ve been playing this game for so long I had gained a lot of progress, but now all that progress is gone! That’s only one problem I have with this app, the other problem I have is the excessive ads. After every song you play a 15-30 second ad pops up. It just ruins the “magic” for this app. Makes it boring y’know? I really hope these problems can be fixed eventually and if not then this app won’t be reinstalled again. Thank you for reading this.

Steals your smoola. So I’ve always loved this app and had it on my devices since 2015, always loved it. Now here’s where it gets annoying. There are times when I would search up a song and try and purchase it with smoola. I looked up the song “suteki Dane” by final fantasy and had 29 in smoola. The price for the song was 25 so I was like okay, I can afford this. I clicked the icon with the 25 smoola on it and it started loading saying “preparing your song” and then out of nowhere it said “something went wrong” so in my head I was like, OK. I’ll just wait a bit then open up my songs cause I already bought it. I opened up the app again and it still had that purchase next to the song so I clicked on it again and it said I don’t have enough smoola so I was like oh I think it might have been in my song book already. But no! I went to my song book and it wasn’t even there and smule charged me 25 smoola and now I’m left with 4 smoola on my account. And I didn’t even get the song I wanted to buy. 🤷🏾‍♀️

It's okay, but.... It's a little frustrating when you level up you're rewarded with a song you have already gotten for free. Also, the daily free songs just repeat over and over rarely giving you something you don't already have. One more thing I don't like is that most of the really good songs are only available with a "monthly subscription". That's it, everything else is good. 3 stars Update: I've been playing this game since 2011. It's always had its quirks that made it a pain in one way or another. The last year or so it has gotten so forceful with advertising that it's not even fun anymore. I very rarely play it anymore. Usually if I'm waiting in the car while the wife is shopping or something. There is an ad before and after every song. You can't close it without closing the game. Ridiculous to have to watch a 30 second ad to get your points, so you can watch another ad before you play the same song again at a different difficulty then another ad to get your stars. So I'm taking my previous stars back. Much to greedy anymore.

Ads. Want to play 60 seconds of a song. Watch an ad. After the terrible copy of a song… watch another ad. Want to play a different song. Watch an ad. There are not ads then songs. Each achievement earns one smole credit. Every song is 25 or higher. You will need to complete 25 achievements to unlock a song. It’s takes forever to get credits. But wait, you can watch ads for credits. 5 ads for a partial song. Poorly assembled or their songs still poorly assembled. You can buy vip 10 bucks a week 20 for a month, 50 for a year. Even with ad free. It’s just not worth the buy. Then you get major song and artist works they want 75 credits. It’s so poorly put together and if you regret the purchase well. Your out of luck. This app is trash. Avoid it. Just play a real piano and enjoy that instead. This app is a total waste of time. I wonder how much of my personal information is out there because if apps like this. Oh well. You e been warned of a terrible app.

Really sad…. I can’t gain access to my old account because I forgot my password and deleted the email I used to open it. So, of course the password can’t be reset. Coming back to change my 5-star review to a 1-star. Before, all I had to do was buy a small amount of tokens (smoola) and I could play classical pieces to my hearts content. I had so many pieces to play and I loved playing on this app every day. I made a new account only to discover than it’s $10 A WEEK. The other option is $50 a year, which personally is a bit much and it is really disappointing to see the change to money. Unless you pay, you can’t play. It makes me upset that I lost an entire library of songs I built up for so long. I would pay $50 honestly to play everything, but not annually. I really miss the ability to just pay as you wanted when you wanted to add more songs. I only played the classical pieces and it seems all of them aren’t free. I could care less about modern music covers.

This is not fair. Ok so my 6 year old brother had my phone and he knows everything about it so he added his finger print to the phone and I had the Touch ID for my Apple ID and I found out I was getting these charges I didn’t know what they were at first but then I checked it out and saw charges from magic piano I haven’t even played this game in like 2 months so when I saw I got charges I thought that it was a mistake but I called my card and they told me that about a month ago I applied for a subscription on the app magic piano like I said I haven’t played this game I’m forever the only person that played it was my little brother and since he had my finger print he purchased the subscription and no one knew he might’ve thought it was free because when the purchase screen shows up it says free trial key word free so my brother saw that and pressed the button he saw the fingerprint sign and but his finger this is not fair at all we didn’t even know we were being charged and we weren’t even playing the game this is really unfair and I will never download this game again

I used to like it. A few years ago I used to play it all the time. The gameplay is good and they have a variety of songs, but the problem became the ads. When I first got the app there was maybe an ad after every 5-7 songs or something around that. I think that's reasonable since none of the songs are full length so it's maybe an ad every 10-15 mins roughly. Time passes by and smule increases the ads to after every 2 songs u will get one which means getting an ad ever 4-5 mins, doubling the amount of ads. I dealt with it for a while but ultimately quit the game for about 2 years because it just became annoying to play. I played it for the first time in such a long time (after deciding that I would deal with the ads) to see smule actually upped the ads to before AND after every single ~2 min song u play! Now that is what I call just plain greedy and it's ridiculous. Just learning this disappoints me that a game I used to like so much became like this. It's just not worth playing anymore and it's a shame.

Some magic in magic piano smule. I used to not like this game at all. I was thinking about deleting the app last time I played, but when I played it again, some things changed. There is actually some songs I like that are free, but ads. When you click on a song to play, it says your free content will be available after this ad, and it’s really annoying. I’ve gotten used to it, but I feel like they should get rid of that. Tons of people are tired of ads on games, and maybe magic piano smule can get rid of the ads on this game. That would totally bring back a lot of people. I 85% of me thought it was a good idea to delete this app, but I’m lowering it to a 40% now because I’m kinda impressed. Also, it’s kind of cool how there’s a ton of options other than ads to get free smoola. And I like that it’s only 25 smoola for songs I like instead of like 50. But on the other hand, you don’t get much smoola at all when you level up. They should give you 5 smoola, not like two! I’ll give it one more stars than I did before.

Some suggestions :). I’ve been playing this app for a very long time and I love it sooo much!!! Although there are a couple things that I would like to suggest to fix. The first thing is the “my songs” tab, it would be better if it was a little more organized and had an option for liking your favorite songs so that you can find them easier instead of scrolling endlessly through all of the songs. Also I think that there should be a tab where you can find all of the songs you haven’t played yet in one category. It would be nice if there wasn’t so many ads because every time you finish a song and click return, an ad pops up. I think that it would make the app more enjoyable and encourage people to play more if there were less ads.

AWESOME! Get it! its worth it!. Okay so i have probably had this app for like three years or something and i just recently came back to it and fell in love with it. and theres all these bad reviews like “ Oh theres too many adds” or “They all cost coins to get them!” Witch is bull because all games have adds try to think of one game on you're phone or iPad right now that doesn't have adds? Yeah you couldn't think of any could you. and its not like theres That many either. and for the people who say “oh well most of the songs cost coins!” Seriously? Theres a get more coins section and all you have to do is watch an add and u get enough coins for you're new song there. all i'm trying to say is this a great app and anyone who is thinking about getting it get it! because theres no hurt in giving it a try and if u don't like it then just delete it.

This app makes my life much better..... I’ve played songs on Magic Piano for five years. I’m sorry to see so many complaints in the reviews. I guess they are dissatisfied with the game element. I just play the song book as I have a subscription yearly. It is dang little money to pay for the hours of pleasure it affords me. I’m 78 years old and there is hardly a day goes by that I don’t have my Smule fix. I have mastered over 400 songs pretty much sticking to the traditional, musical theatre, and classical ones. I like to see my scores even though I can’t usually better my highest scores probably posted years ago. My old fingers are not as flexible as they used to be. I love the concerts I play for myself and get great satisfaction in playing my favorites over and over. Use my iPad Pro and love Magic piano. ❤️❤️

Used to be great, but.... I used to LOOVE this game, and frankly, I still should. My problems with this game have nothing to do with actual gameplay, but with the company itself. I have just a couple points to make, and honestly, they’re easily fixable, and should’ve never happened in the first place. 1. You have to pay for EVERYTHING I’d say there are about 3 songs I actually WANT to play in the free section. My favorite songs are always VIP. For 25 smula you can get songs from the 60-90s. With 50 smula you can get old, badly composed, easy modern songs. With 75, you can get more popular songs, (e.g. the stranger things theme) but so far I’ve seen one song connected to the Sing! Karaoke app that wasn’t VIP. Smula are INCREDIBLY hard to get, earning a few when you level up, sometimes you can get even less after playing a song, and you can watch videos for FIVE SMULA EACH. I’ve also had a problem with this where I had to watch two videos before I got any smula. 2. ADS. ADS EVERYWHERE. Every single time I complete a song I get an ad. Before most “free” songs, there’s an ad too. Sometimes, I’ll just get an ad randomly. My conclusion is you really have to pay to move forward in the game. This game is a complete and total cash grab. I’ve had it on and off over the past 4 years, deleting it every time solely because there are too many ads and too little options. Yes, this game is fun, but everything else is a complete and utter mess.

It’s amazing a few fixes tho. This game is absolutely amazing I love all of the songs they are difficult I like that.... Great game but some problems... I say 4.5 stars. The following may seem like there are too many complaints so you wouldn’t want to get this app but trust me it’s still worth it: For some songs you need to be VIP, this is ridiculous we have the smoola and nope, we can’t play it! Sometimes when I watch ads it doesn’t give me any smoola, it just loads and loads and then goes back to normal but with no more smoola! Also some songs are 50 or 75 smoola which is crazy! Also sometimes I would make a song in the composer and after that I would try to play the song and it would ask me if I want to confirm to spend 25 smoola for my song (only my recent songs), why should I have to pay for my own song!!! Pls respond bec I want to play my own songs without having to spend smoola! BUT THE GAME IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!

It’s great!!! But.... This is by far my favorite app of all time! But... it’s got a one thing that isn’t so great. when ever I try to watch an video to get more smoola, it lets me watch it but then doesn’t give me the smoola and I’ve tried over and over again but it still won’t work!!! And when ever I get free songs it says that I need to pay for them even after it lets me play them!!! And sooooo many of my favorite songs need VIP access and I don’t have the money for something a stupid as a couple of songs on an app!!! But I still love this app even when it kills me off of it repeatedly and sometimes forces me to delete it along with all the songs I’ve payed for!!! And don’t even get me stated on the freaking billions of ads!!!! They suckkkkk!!! And almost every time I mess up it either doesn’t say anything or says something completely different then what I did and I know what I did but it’s kinda annoying to have it not tell me.

Good but not amazing (AT ALL). When I first got the game I picked a song and have gotten Farley better but I was getting tired of all the same songs and adds my favorites were into the unknown and someone you loved but I was getting tired of them so I wanted new songs but almost all of them were VIP or cost smoola so I did not mind that.....(at first)so I went to get free smoola I watched an because because I don’t like spending money on games and I didn’t get anything so I tried it again to if it was a glitch and it still didn’t work...then after working so hard by leveling up and doing achievements I finally had enough to get a new song I was so exited so I surched my favorite song and it came up but....it sounded like CRAP!!!i was so sad because I spent so much time trying to level up and do that stuff just for nothing I would give more stars like a 3 but the add does not work it would make this review ALOT better than it it I highly would not recommend this app I mean I still have it just Incase of like an update or something where the add thing does work Sorry if this is just for nothing and it all doesn’t bother you and this was a wast of time But this is also for the developers to fix these problem Btw the song I got was 10,000 hours I think I might of picked the wrong one but you still need to title then differently so you can see what it is like the song a part of it etc Bye I hope you have a better time with this app if you do get it....

Did a You Just Give Up?. I have been playing this app for almost 7 years! Loved it and loved challenging myself to get a perfect score in the easy, medium and hard plays of the same song! I reached the highest level... 100 I believe and *poof*... everything stopped! It said look for more levels to come and that was 5 or 6 years ago! There is no way to earn Smoolas except a few videos here and there! Why did the developers just stop? It was a great app, but everybody likes a challenge and a chance to earn points and rewards! Now, I just keep playing my songs over and over! I wish we could see the the points we earn for each song difficulty rather than just the highest score of the hard level. This way I could challenge to beat each difficulty category! Do you ever plan on giving us more levels to challenge us? Or is this as good as it will ever get? It was a great app at one time! How about you make it great again!!

Sort of amazing.!. So this game is so FUN! It’s so addicting. But I have to list a few problems. 1. When I compose a song, (I made jingle bells) I have to pay smoola for my own song? I wanted to play it, for free. It’s confusing. Would the smoola go to me? Or will it go to a random player? Or will it go to you? My brain is confused. Also, I payed for the jingle bells once, and I have to pay again. And, smoola is hard to get. You should get 5-10 smoola each level up. 2. I have to watch an ad for every song I play. Okay, I get that you need someway to make money, but I play a lot of 30 sec to 20 songs and then I get a one minute ad? At least have the duration of the ad shorter or about the same length of the song. (This is my opinion, and I get it and I’m okay with if you can’t change the ads.) 3. The levels. It takes too long for you to level up. I really want to level up to get the classic guitar, it is relaxing, but I don’t want to pay like 495 smoola to get it. Also, it is the same for the Vocal Choir. It is so funny but I don't want to pay 495 smoola. Who has that much, anyway? (Not meant to be rude) I only have 17, haha! Like I said, this app is amazing. Could be better. I love this app but I have some problems. 1, How hard it is to get smoola. We only get 1 smoola per level up, and about 5 for completing achievements. This is annoying, because most songs are 25 smoola or more. Basically the only way to get smoola is by buying VIP (which is super expensive, like 40$ a month) or watching a ton of ads. Either way this could be worked on, whether it’s making VIP less expensive or giving more per level up. 2, Song copying/stealing. It takes a long time to make songs and since there’s an option to put it in the composer, people tend to just change 1 note and put it up for sale. It’s irritating for the original makers to spend a long time on a song only for a copy to get more sales. Maybe remove the ability to put others’ songs in the composer and this will work out.

Where’s the 5 smoolas?. I love this game! I got it a few months ago and was addicted straight away. However, the only way for me to get a song is to watch five videos. And recently I’ve only been able to watch videos without getting coins. On the demo games especially. No five coins, no new songs. When I click the X in the corner it just brings me to the free coins screen.😒 This really only happens when the ad has a demo game, like advertised capitalist or word scapes. Or right now literally all the ads a watch don’t give me anything because they all have demo games and they’re all glitched... Also, I’ve been trying to compose a song from the start, but it always says that it was unable to load that feature. I’m pretty happy playing the songs I already have, but to be able to download or compose some songs on my own would be nice... 😔😞☹️

This needs fixed or I’m gonna have to delete... I enjoy playing this game. It’s fun and I don’t mind the ads too much but there are quite a bit and I don’t like how hard it is to earn smule coins when you have to pay for almost any song if you wanna play it or get vip so I wish you could earn more smule coins cuz eventually after having to play the same songs over and over it gets boring and you wanna delete it... What I have a problem with tho is I have this game on my iPad so I don’t know if this is a problem for anyone else but on hard levels the ones with four keys almost every time I use four fingers to hit it, it pauses!! How am I supposed to play a song with it pausing every two seconds?! It’s ridiculous! I don’t know if I can fix it somehow, if so let me know please because that’s the biggest issue I have with it...

To the ruthless complainers. For those who complain about ads, go read a book. They're just a few seconds long, and you can close them easily. If it gives you crashes I'm sorry, but just do what I do: play the entire song except for the last note. Then you can go and play a different one. Yes, that blocks off your experience, but you can just get one of the easy XP 1000+ songs and be rich. And for those who say all the good songs are VIP, go read two books. You do not deserve the pleasure of hearing the masterpieces of Disney orchestras. Musicals have fantastic music too, so please stop complaining about your cool teenage rap songs being unavailable. This is the only app you'll ever need, if you can't see that then you obviously don't recognize how much of a blessing it is.

Good for fun, but not really for a wallet.. I wanted to use the free trial for a little bit, just to play some of the songs I liked. Well, it reactivated the trial somehow after I cancelled it. I didn’t do anything to reactivate it. And it didn’t even tell me. So, now I’m out $25 cause of it. You guys need to at least say it when you charge for the subscription cause I had no clue it was happening. I don’t have a job of my own, and I was using a credit card my parent opened for me. I hope you guys read this and figure out a way to fix this issue so people know when they’re gonna be charged. Or, instead of telling the, after they’re charged, tell them a few days before so they can cancel if need be. Not only that, but I can’t even access songs I was able to play with the VIP subscription after they were in my songbook. Why not just remove them from the song book rather than taunt players who cancelled their subscription with songs they played. You guys have gone downhill over the years...

Not worth the time. It’s pretty fun, and I don’t really mind the excessive amount of ads, I know you need to get money somehow. But my complaints are that first of all, there is very few chances to earn Smoola (or Smula, or however it’s spelled). I don’t feel like signing up for some subscription to pay for an app on my iPod, so if I want to get a new song I have to use the in-game currency. It’s extremely hard to just accumulate the currency over time, so I tried watching the ads to get 5 more Smoola, but nothing happened and I didn’t receive any money. I watched an ad, and the number of Smula I already had showed a loading sign, but then disappeared and I still had the same amount I did before. Usually I wouldn’t really care, after all, it’s just a game and I doesn’t really matter. But I really wanted to play this one song, and besides, I watch so many ads all the time, that if i got 5 Smula every time I watched one, I’d be rolling in cash. Another issue is how half the songs are only for VIPs. Again, I’m not going to pay real money just to play a song I already know how to play on a real piano. But of course, you don’t really read the reviews at all, do you? Dozens of people like me have the same complaints, and you haven’t changed a single thing. I’m wasting my time. Sorry for it being so long. Those are my thoughts. I say don’t get this app if you’re going to take it seriously. If you just want some relaxation, this is fine. Hunter

Being bossed around by a piano.. I love this game, it’s very relaxing and my fam was impressed with the way I was playing, but just one tiny issue. Every time I play a song like Havana or Happier, it tells me I’m going too slow and I’m playing to the right rithem of the song. It was like the game was bossing me around and I wanted to throw my phone out the window. Another is that every time I try to get more money, it. Doesn’t. Work. I wish the game wouldn’t tell me how to play and to give more free song options. Aperently all smule cares about is money too. All my favorite songs are in the vip and it’s not cool. I can’t buy VIP because my parents wouldn’t let me sign up for a trial on a game. Please give more free song options and what the crap does too far left mean? Help! When I did the tutorial it said I didn’t have to exactly hit the dots but it bossed me around anyway. 😑

This is a Penny Pincher Game!. Ok.. so, at first the game looks fun and relaxing, but that’s deceiving.. first off, most of the songs cost this smoola currency and it costs money to buy it! Also, if you do watch an ad to get free smoola, it’s fake. You get the smoola but it messes up the entire game.. so I wanted to buy a song and it said transfer problem or something like that and I tried again.. I did not get the song! Also, you only get one smoola per level! That’s stupid, considering the songs and stuff are 25 smoola. If you go on a trial, you get more! It’s so dumb.. also, the game expects you to be perfect by saying you fingers are ‘to far to the left’ or ‘to slow’ when your fingers are almost exactly on the keys! Do you really expect us to move our fingers with the keys? You’ve got to be kidding! I think this game does not make me (or many others) very happy. I think this game or possibly the brand is just trying to get money from people, so don’t waste your time unless your looking for a disappointment 😑

Addicting!....if the songs would ever load. I’ve been playing this app for years and always find it fun and love the mental escape. Recently, I’ve hit a bit of a snag as over 90% of the songs won’t load and constantly alerted with “download failed.” Im trying ANY song now to see if it’s just certain songs or at random. I’ve checked my internet, turned off my WiFi to use data, restarted my phone, logged in on other devices, and tried on alternate WiFi’s outside of home with the same problem. I also have friends and family with the app and they are all experiencing the same problem. If this glitch continues I will sadly just delete the app as I see no point in having it if I can’t enjoy it. I hope there will be a remedy this problem quickly. Best of luck

One Finger Tapping Mode, Where Did it Go?. So I love magic piano and always played it on my tablet since I was about 6 (7 years ago). It had the best features and I loved it! But there used to be this one mode in the game that said something like “one finger tapping only”. I never really used it but when I did use it, it was so cool and really you couldn’t get misses unless you put multiple fingers. So I now wonder, “Where did it go?” Sure I’ll search it up in a second but I want a response from you Smule! I need an answer on why it’s not there anymore from our many enjoyable moments and times together… So R.I.P one finger tapping, you will be missed since Magic Piano is basically probably discontinued anyway. But please tell me where it went?

My two fingers. Yes, because of arthritis, I can only use two fingers of my right hand, allowing me to play the music I love...mostly classical. However, at first I didn’t realize that if I played the entire song, but deciding that it just wasn’t what I expected, that song was stuck in my song repertoire forever. I need a way to remove the ones I don’t intend to play again. Please allow us to delete a song, and to get others. Every time I’ve tried to look up a song or artist, it tells me “not found” so I’d like to be able, at least to quickly scroll through to find what I like. Otherwise, if the composer is great, I want that music easily available. I’d also like to be able to let those composers how much I like their work. It would be nice if we could suggest songs not currently available. There are so many good composers in the current lineup!

Ads are too annoying-full version too costly. I don’t mind an ad every so often, but it has gotten to where you have to view an ad to play a song, view an ad as soon as you hit continue after finishing the song and then view an ad again as soon as you select the next song. I will never buy Adventure Capitalist no matter how many times you show me that super annoying ad. I would love to play it to relax and get rid of stress, but the constant ads cause stress instead of relieving it. I would buy this game in a heartbeat if it was $19 or less as a one time purchase, but the monthly subscription is ridiculously priced. Also, I don’t know if it is my new iPad Generation 6 or the latest iOS update but it is incorrectly penalizing for “too many fingers” the last day or so, especially when it’s a 4 finger note. Please, Smule, reconsider the number of ads or your pricing method and fix the recent incorrect “too many fingers” error.

Great and underrated game. This app is very underrated. All of the different songs have a very unique rhythm, which makes it fun to play. Sometimes, it gets challenging when the song gets faster and faster. Although this game is outstanding, there are its flaws. It's very hard to earn coins to unlock new songs, so it's basically impossible to not be tempted to buy coins. It is also ridiculous on how slow it takes to level up. You'd have to compose your own song to get a free song to play, but it's hard enough to write a song in real life, let alone copying a song or making your own on mobile devices. It's also very slow if you don't have a stable internet connection, so I don't recommend playing on vacation. Besides that, Magic Piano is a great game, and I definitely recommend it!

Ads, too far left, $. So I played this game a long time ago and I loved it, and about a month ago I rediscovered it. Overall, this app is not good at all for a few reasons. First of all, this app plays an ad after every song and it plays one before and after for the free songs anytime you want to play it. Smule is extremely greedy. Second, whenever I play this on my phone, it always says I’m playing too far left or too far right and when I try to push my fingers together, it just reads it as one finger so I can never get a perfect. Third, almost all of the most popular songs right now are for vip only which makes smule even more greedy because literally all they want is money and its really annoying. Fourth, it takes you a while to level up and when you do, all it gives you is ONE smoola and rarely a song. The average price for a song is like 25 smoola so imagine how long it would take you to get 25. This used to be a good app, but honestly, I’m disappointed at what it has become

Used to be my favorite, but..... I will be the first to say that this game used to be my favorite thing ever. Before I was able to get an actual piano, this is what I used to feel like I was making music and I had the best time. Then I took a break from it (I had just gotten a little busy with school and other activities). I guess the developers made some changes to the game because for one thing there are more ads than their used to be. To be fair I don’t mind that so much because if I really love the app, I will be patient and sit through the ads. But, the game has been kind of glitchy with me. There is also this other thing where if you tap with four fingers, it stops the game which would be a great feature if you didn’t have to use for fingers on the hard levels!!!!!!!!! It’s sooo frustrating, so unfortunately I deleted it, very sad day for me.

Smoola Advertisement Glitch and App Start up issues. Magic Piano has always been one of my favorites piano games, but recently I have noticed so many glitches and bugs that need to have a patch to fix them. I see the last update was 5 months ago, which I am not sure why because of so many in app issues, that the developers of the game do not release a patch to fix them every week, month, or on a more consistent basis. Smoola which is the in game currency in Magic Piano has been glitching when watching advertisement videos to earn them for free. You cannot watch many advertisement videos before the button glitches which doesn’t allow you to watch more. It is frustrating because it takes twice as long to earn a song. I hope the developers read my review and take into consideration to update their game as soon as possible, so users like myself may have a more pleasant experience. Thank you.

Eh....NOPE. So I started to play this game about a year ago, and at first this was a pretty straight forward app. You play tunes on hard, easy, or medium, earn points and so on. After I had played for about a month and got to level 6, it was super hard to unlock anything, because every time you level up you get one smoola. (currency) but here is the catch: Every time you level up, it gets harder and harder to level up, so you see my point. And you only get one smoola. Some songs cost 75+ smoola. So you get my frustration. But I will have to say I like the fact that you can creat you own songs, though. I just can’t believe that there are so many adds! 😡 I usually don’t use emojis at all but now I have to use that angry face emoji! (Thanks smule) every time you click to play a game, an add pops up about random junk no one wants to play. For example, I saw and add about killing random people around the globe. Was supposed to relieve all stress. Seriously?! Who buys that? Plus, half the games are for VIP members only. Look, smule, I know I look rich, but I don’t have a penny to my name. (Creators of smule) : “How about we sell them a free game that once you buy it... you can’t play it ‘cuz there’s so many stinkin adds, and nothing is actually free?!” I wouldn’t waste my time on this game if I got paid.

Too many ads. I have had this game off and on and have been playing consistently for about two weeks now, and am at level 10. But you cannot play a single song without having an ad before and after it and it’s very annoying. I’m spending more time just watching ads then actually enjoying the game. The app could be way better if they just decreased the amount of advertisements you had to watch, because it’s getting very annoying every time I get on the game I can barely play because of all the ads that I have to go through before and after every song I play. But overall it’s a very fun and engaging game! There’s really no issues with it so far and I’m able to play for free and still get the full experience with having to pay actual money. Its a nice game, and the only thing that’s really wrong with it is the amount of ads during gameplay.

What happened?. What in the world happened to this game?! I'm just a kid and i used to love this game when I was really young where I could play any song and didn't have to pay for any! What happened to that? You guys seem more greedy for money and we need a freaking VIP membership to get songs that is really popular?? WHAT?! Membership costs like 100 bucks! And what's with all the adds?? Everytime I just finish a song an add comes up and most of them are apps I already have! Some adds have sexual content which I shouldn't be seeing! I really enjoy this app but the songs that I love are like 75 coins now! Now I have to copy it and change a note just so I could play it! What's up with all of that stuff?! If the adds get away or the VIP is more cheap like 10 bucks or something more people would buy it instead of making it 100 bucks people wouldn't buy it so expensive! Too many adds are occuring! I give this a 3 stars.

GREAT but....... It’s an AMAZING GAME, one of my favorite, their are three problems though, 1: way to many adds, I already watch 5 adds in a row to unlock a new song anyway, that should be enough considering that it usually takes me 3 tries overall to beat a song on 3 difficulties (some songs do take literal dozens of times and sometimes hundreds but usually only 3) so I usually watch 2 and a half minutes of adds to download a new song every five minutes, but no, apparently a third of the time I play being adds isn’t enough for smule, it’s literally an add after every single time a song ends, and like I said some songs take hundreds of tries to get 3 stars on (usually only on hard mode) and the song will sometimes only take 1 minuet, please lessen the adds and i will play way more. 2: the "free smoola! More ways to earn smoola" option doesn’t work, I should’ve gotten 175 already, 100 for beating level 5 on cooking fever and 75 for completing a survey. 3: the name doesn’t describe the game at all, it should be called "hand cramp" because it’s literally just a fun way to permanently damage your carpool tunnel. (Obviously a joke but my wrist does hurt really bad after playing this game)

Used to be great. This app used to be a lot of fun. I used to play it every day. Since then, I moved on, but I remembered the app and came back. It’s taken a turn for the worst now. You used to have an ad-free experience even as a free user. You could still watch ads to get the in-app currency, Smoola, so you could buy songs. I did this almost religiously day by day. You can still do this, too. However, now you also get an ad after every. Single. Song. And that’s assuming you own the song. If you don’t, you’ll need to watch an ad before you play the song, too. The composer feature is incredible, and the user created songs are wonderful. The fact that they only cost 25 Smoola a piece is awesome. The ability to share your performances with friends, family, and the world (through the in-app “World” feature and the Smule website) is cool, too. But the entire experience is completely ruined by the prevalence and disruptiveness of the endless ads. Unless, of course, you pay the subscription fee on a monthly, three month, or annual basis.

Needs fixing!. Too many problems with app! I used to love it so much and now I am seriously considering deleting the app. First, it starting to take so long to load and sometimes it doesn’t load at all (I did all the updates). Second, the three fingers doesn’t work all the time and I get a ‘too many fingers’ message on the right top messing my score. Third, sometimes it doesn’t read my finger press and the song is all messed up all of a sudden (i played this game long long ago and I rarely had this problem before it’s more recent). Fourth, too many adds. Fifth, it doesn’t separate songs I played when I tried the membership from the ones I purchased with smules or from the songs that were already free this is a problem because I played so many songs and now every time I press a song from ‘my songbook’ it tells me I have to purchase it or get a membership and it’s annoying to check all the songs and memorize what I have and which ones I used to have during the membership!

Amazing but a few cons. Magic piano is amazing! I love to play it everyday and compose new songs. Considering I play the piano in real life, magic piano Is so much like that. But, there are a few cons for this game that should be fixed. 1) It’s so hard to get smoolas. Every song is at least 25 or 75 smoolas. Every time you level up, you always get one. 2) I love to compose song, but the problem is that once it is composed and published, you can’t play it anymore. You would need to spend 25 smoolas if you would want to. For your OWN SONG. 3) You can always listen to the song before playing it, but the problem is that you can’t listen to the whole song. So thanks to that, I spend 25 smoola on a song that WASN’T EVEN FINISHED! Besides all of this, it is fun 4) As a pianist, I actually enjoy this app, but what I don’t like is that every note is a quarter note. That is why some song don’t sound correct. Most song have half notes, eighth notes, whole notes, dotted half notes, and so on. So can you PLEASE fix that. 5) it’s hard to keep your songs. There was this song that was given to me as a gift when I first joined Magic Piano, and now it wants me to pay for its access. I should have kept it, but nooo, now they took it away from me. There is this other song I was given free, and now they took the access away from it too Please fix these if you can. Also, keep up the good work.

Barely playable anymore. I used to LOVE this game when I was a kid and had so many fond memories of it. When I redownloaded it on my phone a year or two ago I had to start over, but I thought it would be fine. For a game that I used to love so much, I rarely ever play it, because it’s just not what it used to be. There are WAY too many ads and everytime I try to watch an ad to get more smoola it just says there’s no ads available. You should be able to watch ads and then buy a song, it makes no sense that I can’t do that. There’s a way to have ads in your app and make money, Smule, while still making sure the game is fun for people. Point is, it’s barely even playable anymore. It seems like Smule doesn’t even care about the players, just about making money, so I think they deserve 1 star. I might delete it as I never play it anymore, but I’m just really mad and disappointed in what it has become. I hope Smule changes things, but I’m pretty sure they don’t care about what their players think.

Not really worth it. It was a fun enough way to pass the time at first but then there started to be adds after every song. And when I did watch adds on purpose I wouldn’t get the promised rewards and then when I completed a couple of the offers, one of which had me going through 80 pages of adds, I didn’t get this promised rewards either. When I asked customer service about it they were dismissive and rude. I had paid to be part of their subscription in the past and they were dismissive and rude to me, imagine how they would treat you if you hadn’t spent money with them. All in all I wish I could get my time and money back. I know I’m just one person and they don’t care about me alone, but if you are like me and expect companies to provide good customer service and to live up to the promises they make then you do not want this app. It isn’t worth your time and will only cause you frustration.
