Don’t waste your money on these fake reviews!. (Update) sorry guys, the fact that it’s your busy season doesn’t excuse you from not replying for 5 days. Apparently a small group of customers had a glitch in the update and couldn’t access premium. Update your chat to set proper expectations when people do need support!! Despite my extreme frustration about this, it’s an awesome app that’s super easy to use. Highly recommend it, just don’t expect service to respond for days. I have to admit I’ve used this app for several months and like the features. I upgraded and I am currently working to get a refund on the upgrade. It seems like a good app (hence the 2 stars instead of 1) but I upgraded 4 days ago and still don’t have access to what I paid for! I contacted support at the email provided in other complaints/reviews but still no reply even after 4 day! Not acceptable!!! I have no idea how this app is rated 4.8 with this issue. I bet they hired some firm in India to post a bunch of positive reviews. I’m fed up and with so many other apps on the market, don’t waste your time on this app.

No free recipes..but it looks nice.. They say they offer free recipes but they don't, they only give recipes for the premium. And if they DO have free recipes then there is no way to actually tell which recipes are for premium and which are for free unless you tap on them. Also, when you click on the “search for a recipe” button, they give you a bunch of premium recipes on the front page so you’ll be scrolling for hours tapping and trying to find one for free which you probably wont be able to do. They have a search option, but no filters to go through either for the picky eats who are on a budget and looking for a quick recipe that a two year old would eat. With that said, I do like the set up when deciding your goals, and how they have an ease in feature. I also like how they keep track of your macros. And, in the exercise portion, they have SO many options that fit you! Like the “carrying a child over 15 lbs is upstairs.” And the “walking with a child” they don't just have a basic range of exercises they actually go in depth. With that said, I wish they would let us include how many flights we went up instead of for how many minutes we did it.

Best Macro and Caloric Tracker. I’ve downloaded and tested probably 7 trackers at this point and this is my fav standard stock app. I look forward to purchasing the premium upgrade once my other subscription runs out. The only thing I wish it had was a dark mode version but other than that, it beats MyFitnessPal by a mile. Carb Manager appeals to the keto population, but it’s really good for tracking macros and caloric intake in general. It would be nice if the food menus expanded a bit for those who lean more toward IIFYM. However, if you know your MBR # and institute a caloric deficit without changing anything else physically, you’ll see results ASAP (but not forever). CM makes food easy to log and helps me look at ways to maximize what I’m eating while optimizing the time and energy that goes into granularly tracking health metrics. Carbs, Protein and Fat have the kcal that they have. Your daily expenditure is what it is. This app serves as a reality check. Numbers are numbers. But unless there are minor UI design improvements, this app is certainly a 9.7/10.

Easy Breezy App. Carb manager has made it so easy to calculate my macros for keto meals and edit all through the day, even has the option to take some of the prepared recipes and change an ingredient that recalculates the macros for you. This app has so many good tasting and variety of recipes that makes meal planning so easy. As long as I have the keto staples, I’m able to change to another recipe at the last minute to something else that I’m craving without falling behind on meeting my daily macro goals. I’m so glad I subscribed to the premium membership. Best part I was offered a discounted cost and glad I accepted the opportunity given to me. It’s all worth it. I don’t think I can do without carb manager now. I’m addicted to this app. So easy to count macros and look up my next delicious meal to prepare right there at my fingertips on my cell phone. Where ever I am I have easy access to view, add, subtract macros and ensure I have what I need to prepare a new recipe in case I need to make a grocery run while I’m out. You’ve made my life and meal planning to reach my weight loss goal too easy. Thank you Carb manager and I Love this app!

No Trial Period / No Refunds. Warning, the App is a trap to get your subscription money. There is no trial period or grace period. Buyer Beware! I had purchased the 12 month subscription believing what I see of the App’s abilities as promising. After not even 24 hrs, I discovered a lot of shortcomings. I did not have the ability to customize at the food entry level the units of measure. You only have the option of metric or imperial. The site is not made with USA/Canada products in mind. The food library is limited. The food items section is not simple to navigate. You can only approach by meals. So assembling your own meal takes time and the App is not intuitive. There is still some work this App has to address before it’s ready for the N American market. So with my disappointment with the App, I tried to cancel and get my refund. Canceling was easy. Getting the refund is not possible as they claim there is nothing defective with the product and it was delivered properly. Their ability to address customer satisfaction is not a priority. There goes USD$66!

Great tool but no IF timer.. After reading some reviews between different apps I decided to go with CM but after signing up I was surprised to find out that this app doesn’t include intermittent fasting timer, goals, or historical tracking. It’s even advertised as easy IF tracking but this only includes time stamps of when the food was entered. Many other free apps include this option. It’s a huge omission considering that many keto people also do IF. After doing some more research I see that this function is coming in future updates but it seems it’s been coming for months so I’m not holding my breath. Secondly it would be nice if premium subscription included some kind of the Milne support or support phone number. If you are not doing IF than you don’t have much to loose investing $9 or $3 per month in yourself and your health. If you can pay for Netflix you can pay for this and support these guys. It would be nice if developers could give us some timeline on when this IF timer will actually become available.

Nice app but confusing. I was referred by a friend to use this app and I’ve been using it for a month now. Some of the foods are confusing; for example eggs = 1 carb. I’ve looked at all the eggs sold at my local chain supermarket and none of them have carbs. 🤨 Just a few suggestions for an update - unless it’s already there and I just haven’t figured it out yet - - a way to state the way something’s been cooked when I enter my foods to my favorites list i.e. scrambled, pan fried, broiled, baked, etc. because I know my eggs have no carbs but when I enter scrambled eggs, there’s suddenly carbs - a section for you to enter your ketone levels. I recently had problems with fluctuating ketone levels so I test after every meal. It would be nice to see the trend based on what I’ve eaten because I’m tracking everything I eat but I think certain combinations of foods for the day have a different effect so when my ketones are low, I’m trying to back track the whole day to figure out where I went wrong. Otherwise, a great resource for those wanting to follow a low carb diet and I will continue to use it.

Amazing app, needs more food entry options. I’ve had this app for years, and it keeps improving. I love how the app provides a prediction for when you will reach your weight goal with the calorie deficit that you set. I also love how you can set your own macro goals or diet goals (like keto, protein, etc). You can also track your sleep, water, and exercise, and choose whether your exercise automatically subtracts calories from your daily calorie goal or not. Also, very easy to use app with a great overall look and cute congrats animations. I think the only downside that I can think of, is that there needs to be more food entry options. When I did Keto, I didn’t have any problem entering in what I ate, but for foods that don’t fit into the keto focus, often you have to just enter ingredients… which is inconvenient and time-consuming. For example, if I were to try to enter a s’mores, I would have to put the three ingredients because there is no s’more entry. Or even something more custom, like a kale salad topped with grilled chicken, tomatoes, and ranch. It would be smart to have a base salad option for this for example, where you could customize it, like you do when you order at a Panera or McDonald’s kiosk. Just an idea :) Otherwise, I love this app.

Has potential but not quite there yet. This app seems old and clunky compared to myfitnesspal and lose it. The interface feels really old. Also I’m visually impaired and there is no dark mode to make things easier to see. That needs to be implemented for free as not everyone can see tiny writing in lightly colored font. I hate that developers never test their stuff to see if it’s easily accessible for those with less than perfect vision. As a developer you should always err on the side of making the background dark and the font larger to accommodate for everyone! I shouldn’t have to ask to be able to see the app like everyone else. One thing I like is that Carb Manager has most foods when I scan a barcode. I use more than one app as I like to compare them all. Please take some time to make this app look more modern and include more features like LOSEIT and Myfitnesspal. Carb manager has virtually no competition as no other apps really focus on the low carb/keto lifestyle and you would get more premium subscribers if you added more features and accessibility to the app. Not sure if premium is worth it for me because I can barely see some of the writing on here 😞

Great! Just one wish, to save shared recipes.. I’ve just converted to a Keto lifestyle, I tried a few apps and CarbManager has the best features while using the free version of the app. Thank You!!! I truly believe I can eat whatever my heart desires twisted to Keto, in that frame of mind I am always creating new recipes. In the last 4 days of having the app, I have created and added 4 of them. I love that it totals up all the nutritional values and when I add it to my daily food, let’s say as my dinner, those adjust to the serving size. I cook for a very large household and since a few of us are trying to stick to Keto friendly meals it’s nice to be able to share the recipes, however, they can’t save them so that they can benefit from the same nutritional information in their daily meal records. That means each app user has to create the recipe in their app, that’s quite frustrating. I’m hoping there is a way to update this, it maybe I am just saving wrong. I always give permission to publish when I create a new recipe, the little box is checked. I’m guessing it just takes a while to verify each one of those before they are published, which is understandable, but if we all had my invented dish for dinner then we would all like to have the benefit of just adding it once shared from the app, which is another feature I love! Thanks again for the great work!!!

Pleasantly surprised. I’ve had the two major calorie trackers for years which I found helpful but they never really aligned with my specific goals- just made me anxious about calorie counting and did not help shape a healthy relationship with food. I’m trying to get away from calorie counting and just stick to low carb as I just believe our calorie counting culture is unhealthy (especially for women) but I do think being mindful of nutrition is super important. With that said, I have been pleasantly surprised by this carb counting app as it has helped me re-shape my focus and is very educational along the way. Even on the days where I choose not to track, I understand food in a completely different way now and no longer over think the calories, rather, I ask myself if the food I want to eat has the nutrients my body needs. I’ve also found not only does my body feel better with this added mindfulness tool but my mind is sharper too. I didn’t expect this app to help shape my thoughts and feelings about food but it certainly has, in a very healthy and balanced way. I recommend this app to anyone looking to ditch the cal counting culture but is seeking tools for mindful and educated eating. Best of luck to all!

Updated version is not as good or intuitive as the last.. We’ve been keto for 3/4 year. Been tracking the last few months to get back to deep ketosis for medical reasons. I like to know my macro breakdowns per meal (two meals a day) and before I could flip my phone sideways to see how much protein and fat at each meal and which foods had how much (learning so I don’t have to track forever.) with the new and improved app, I can’t do this from my phone and but have to use the computer which is inconvenient. It only shows calories and carbs. It’s also harder to do the recipes. It’s annoying to have to save a recipe you are trying to make, and then go back and find it to see how the macros pan out, then go back and change it and continue the process until it is how you want it. (Some recipes are too low or high in fat or carbs and a few substitutes need to be made.) A continuous tally available while making the recipe would be nice. It works ok for keeping track but definitely has weak spots for anyone who wants to use it on a continuous basis. I wonder if the developers tried using it for a day in their own lives before launching? 🤔

Updating my negative review. New version took a couple weeks to get used to but I’m coming around on it. It was very buggy and frustrating at first and I hated it so much that i canceled my future premium renewal. I still prefer the previous version, but I can tell there have been improvements since the initial launch of the new update so if you hate it, give it a little time. Old review: I loved carb manager and have been a longtime premium subscriber. I know this review is disheartening for the company since there is so much time, effort and money that goes into updating the app but it’s terrible. Scanner doesn’t work, I want to put in liquid as milliliters but only allows cup, the colors are atrocious and the font is way too small. It’s not as intuitive as the previous version and it either crashes or returns me to the main page when I try to add items. I pay attention to macros but also like to keep tabs on calorie count and you can’t see how many are left are without doing math. I’ve reverted to using the web version of the old app but now my Apple Watch isn’t syncing with that and I have to manually put in exercise. I’m so mad I updated the app because the previous version was nearly perfect.

Dishonest pricing. I had been using carb manager for a few months. I love it for tracking net carbs and finding out new recipes from other users. It would remind me daily about premium for $40 a year. I thought about it but figured I didn’t need it since I only was using it primarily for tracking net carbs. That was until I got a Fitbit. Which to sync it I needed to buy into the premium. I sucked it up to buy it. Which it a equivalent of 4 hours of my work day. Part of syncing you need to go into the site. Imagine my delight to find out just a matter of 10-30 second after purchasing it on the app and switching to online I was offered it for $30. Wait I just paid $40 for it.... so why offer the discount AFTER I paid for it? I figured I would reach out to costumer service. Joke! They won’t offer a refund of $10 due to inconvenience. They said they don’t offer the discount even if it was shown right after it was paid for.🙄. I am a manager in costumer service and let me tell you, that is not how you treat a costumer. I will be calling my bank to tell them to make sure the $40 gets cancelled. Along with forwarding this review to apple and Fitbit.

Couldn’t do it without you….. I used the free version of this app for 5 days and realized the benefit to accessing recipes and more importantly, making my own recipes in the app to track the meals I make myself. I honestly could not do a Keto diet without this app. In 5 weeks I have only run into 2 foods that weren’t already in the system. But entering the data only takes a minute. You can favorite foods and recipes and they pop up to the top of list. You can share recipes and food you logged, or keep them private. They are proactive to respond to people’s comments and suggestions. Many personal customizations and multiple access options for entering data. Easy to change goals, favorites, fasting window, etc. I even use it when shopping to scan products to see if they are rated ‘Keto friendly’ for my personal goals. I LOVE this app and find the cost of full access well worth it. My thanks to the creators of this app! I am actually starting to lose weight after years of trying other diets, apps and food logging methods.

Great App for Carb Counting. I really enjoy this app. It shows you macros and breaks down what you should be eating in a day. I always thought of carbs vs calories. You can see what you’ve eaten for each meal - carbs, protein, calories and fat. You can’t fail if you follow the guidelines. Things that could be improved are recipes. You can find all kinds of great recipes on this app with nutritional info attached. That’s awesome. What’s not awesome is the fact when you like a recipe it shows up in your food list instead of it’s own little folder. If you like a bunch in one day it’s just messy. It would also be easier logging food if the food you have already scanned shows up in your food folder first vs every single food similar. You want your info to be correct with what you’ve eaten and it takes forever to find your brand , if you find it at all. So much food is prepped ahead and packages get thrown out. My last gripe is about fiber. It’s so important in any diet. I wish the app added in the drop down where you get your fiber from. It lists every other important part of your diet including vitamins and potassium and such but not your fiber. This should be a huge part of daily numbers. All and all though I’m very pleased with the app and I’m glad it was recommended to me

Hooray for Carb Manager!. I’m a 60-year-old male, recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes with high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I’ve been obese for more than 25 years. I’m now under the care of a weight loss doctor who mandated that I use the Carb Manager app. I was apprehensive about logging my meals and snacks at first, but I actually enjoy planning and tracking what I eat. And I’m losing weight. 2 years ago I weighed 300 pounds. I managed to lose about 30 pounds and lower my A1-c score from 6.4 to 5.9, but gained 10 pounds during the COVID-19 shutdown and my A1-C spiked to 6.5. Working with my new doctor and using Carb Manager, I’m confident I will stay on track and meet my weight loss goal, lower my blood pressure and mitigate my sleep apnea over time. I weighed 261 pounds today and have lost about 15 pounds in 6 weeks. I love this app and I look forward to recording my meals/foods/drinks for the first time in my life. My goal weight is 175 pounds but I will be happy with 190. I’m 5’11” tall with a large frame. Thanks Carb Manager!

Great tool for a Keto Diet!. I love this because you can track all of your macros quickly and easily. I love the ability to scan UPC codes to enter a new product. I love how you can enter recipes by entering a url. There are tons of recipes and you can edit recipes to suit your needs. There are meal plans included in the premium version but none of them suit my needs. They should be labeled differently than meal plan 1 etc so we do not have to look through each one. You can customize a meal plan which is great but it did not work for me. I entered “no seafood “ and it gave me only 1 choice for lunch which was an Asian salmon salad. Things I would change: on the water tracking, you can change your water goal for the day, but you cannot change the 8oz increments. I would like to be able to change it to 20oz or just be able to type in the amounts. You can copy foods from day to day but it is time consuming. I would like it if there was the option to check off items with a check box and add them all at once to another day. Also it would be nice to check off items on a previous day and have it saved as a meal. You can save items as a meal but you have to enter items individually, then save it as a meal. I think this app is invaluable and I recommend it to all of my Keto and Low Carb friends!

Really helps you stay on track. I really think this is a great tool to help you stay focused and within your goals for the day with your eating. You are able to create your own recipes with nutritional and caloric values as well as just track with hundreds of food items already in app to select from. It also has a reminder if you want to turn that feature on. It will remind you to track your food for each meal. The only drawback I have seen so far, is that I have found a few items that did not have the correct nutritional values. Using theses when you track your items, your calculations for the day could be off and throw you off your balance for the day. So check the items you track. If you find something that is incorrect, you can report it. They “said” they are trying to fix the database. You can also adjust your quantity to match the nutritional/ fat/ fiber you are actually ingesting. So this app needs a little work on that, but the features are great and you can work around the issues. I would recommend this app but monitor the items you use for the correct values. You can add your own and report any corrections needed.

Upgraded version of app has become unusable. Have used the app for years, spending hours over time adding custom foods, nutritional info, etc. Upgraded to the new app, and when prompted for a login, the screen said existing data would be transferred over to new app. It wasn’t. Original requests for help finally got a reply of “just start using the new version and we’ll see what we can do. New requests for help with still-not transferred data have not been answered. I started trying to re-add foods, and really appreciate the barcode scan feature, which should save heaps of time entering info. Except some of it doesn’t match at all what’s listed on the nutrition info panel on the package. Multiple efforts to update info let me edit values, but then doesn’t save them, so only records in the daily log the wrong info/values. Totally frustrating waste of time. New version is not at all intuitive as previous version was. Am giving up on this app, as I can no longer use it to accurately capture macro nutrient counts or edit incorrect info or regain any of the info or progress data I had previously entered over 4+ years. It’s a great idea and served me very well for a few years, but new version needs some improvement for accuracy, usability, and support.

Carb Manager. I love carb manager, it is great and very easy to follow, it allows for a variety of low carb foods. This is the best thing going. And I love the recipes that are available. So far, I have made the Turkey Chili which was just wonder, I also made the Turkey Loaf, the chia pudding. If you are serious about losing weight, carb manager will get you there. I have lost 25 pounds since May of this year. You have to put some effort in and exercise which I consider now a plus benefit. This time last year I had so much arthritic pain that I could barely walk. I am walking now independently (no more cane), no more gout pain and no more arthritic pain. I attributed most of that arthritic pain to the high sugar intake (candy, cookies, doughnuts). My feet and ankles were always swollen due the high intake of salty snacks. My BP is down. My doctor has taken me off Lasix and several other pills. Now I am down to 1/2 tab of BP meds and 1 cholesterol tab. I feel great physically and emotionally. Now I look forward to preparing my meals and exercising daily.

Where is support?. I looked for a way to ask support in the app but couldn’t find a place to do so. I’ve been a member for quite a while now. It’s by far the best carb tracking app that I’ve found and I’ve tried 5 or 6 of them. I keep coming back here. I pay for premium even. However I’m really frustrated. I’m having a hard time entering recipes. After I get all the info typed in there is many times no “save” option. I have to click the upper right corner to get out of the screen and so lose everything I’m trying to save. I try to refresh the screen, I poke around at the top of the screen (where it’s just white space), I clear out the food search history - nothing. It’s hard enough for me to be faithful in tracking and with things like this happening quite often I’d rather just quit. This needs to be fixed. I’ve invested enough time and money with this app that I don’t want to throw in the towel, but this is annoying!! The other annoyance is if I make a typo I can’t correct it or add a word in the middle of a line without completely starting over. The cursor automatically takes me to the end of the sentence. E.g if I want “ground cinnamon” and I forget to type ground or if I type grnd I can’t just jump in to correct it, I have to erase the entire line and start over. SO annoying. Each extra keystroke takes time that I don’t want to devote to tracking. I need it to be easy! I love the scan feature. I wish all ingredients could be scanned. Can you help? Thanks, SMP

Makes it simple to track intake. Honestly, reading nutrition information is helpful, but it’s a lot to keep track of when you’re trying to keep track of three meals with several ingredients each. I’m trying to lose weight, not do more math LOL. This app has been a huge help in figuring out portion control when I cook, and in keeping track of what my actual intake of calories, carbs, fat, and protein is. Usually I scan or search foods through the app before I even eat them to decide how much to eat or wether they’re even worth eating, and it’s been very helpful in my pursuit to make healthier versions of my favorite foods, and to decide what a decent portion size would be. I love that its extensive database allows me to accurately track my calorie, fat, carbs and protein intake so I can make smarter decisions while I meal plan. So far I’ve lost five pounds in two weeks thanks to this app, and I’ve had more energy thanks to a healthier diet and more exercise. It’s absolutely worth the download just to be able to easily track your meals instead of trying to keep track of it all in your head.

Amazing Results. Pay for Premium access, it’s worth it! I’m not the best cook but these Premium recipes are better than restaurant food and simple to make. I regularly can’t believe that I, me the guy who eats cereal all day, cooked this!! It’s great, and healthy. After a few weeks I sleep better and think clearer! And I can feel the weight loss happening without feeling the hunger from other diets. I tried this app several years ago for a “Biggest Loser” weight loss competition. And, I WON!! I entered my macros for a diet only plan with no exercise. But I went to the gym three times a week anyways and ended up losing 30lbs in 3 months!! That’s 10lbs a month!! I looked and felt GREAT! But once the competition was over I fell back into bad habits and the wait returned unfortunately. Now I’m ready to loss the weight again. Not for any competition but for myself. I already know the app works because I experienced it first hand, so I didn’t hesitate to renew my premium access. Now I’m back using the amazingly simple and flavorful recipes, and the pounds are beginning to drop again. I’m very excited!! Considering we are discussing our health here I’d say the Premium price is a deal compared to the level of nutritional guidance you are receiving. I know I can’t loss the weight without this app and of course my will to stick to it!

Why is info not on our phones??. The app was down yesterday likely because your servers were down. Today the app is working so I took my iphone offline and sure enough, the app cannot retrieve data if it’s offline from our end or your end. There are, for instance, places that don’t get internet/cell service. Your app won’t work there. For people who are now trying to disconnect from the internet and cell on weekends, your app won’t work. Why in the world would you make us connect to your server/cloud repeatedly daily? At least give us the option to store the food data on our phones. Even wikipedia lets us download the data if we choose. Please please. Give us a choice to store food data on our phones! Also, I would subscribe to Premium if you had a choice for a monthly subscription for $3.50 (slightly more overall that the $40 yearly would be) rather than having to pay a yearly fee all at once.

Needs fine-tuning. This app works really well overall for tracking your diet. However, there are a few annoying things that would be pretty easy for the app developers to fix. 1) please include an option for GRAMS for every ingredient! Even if it’s a liquid!!...Weighing ingredients is preferred for many of us tracking our macros. 2) When you click to add an ingredient/food, it gives you a list of items you commonly use. This is nice, but if you can’t find the item on the list, and you start to type in the item’s name, the commonly used ingredients don’t show up! Please make it so that items you commonly use show up when you start to do a typing search. 3) There are some issues with some food items not having amount options, and the only option is to choose the number of servings, and it doesn’t show how much a serving is. This is probably due to the user not entering in all of the packaging information when they enter the item. The problem is that subsequent users do not have to way to modify the product Information to make it useable. Those are the main annoying issues I’ve come across while using this otherwise great app.

Love Carb Manager.....and, here’s why....... I do Intermittent Fasting and Low Carb, so I’m thrilled CM allows me to track both in one app. Not only that.....I can track weight, macros, minerals, lab results, body measurements, BP, body fat, exercise and water intake. The app also synchs with Fitbit and other devices.....Plus there are tasty keto recipes.😋 Exercise-wise, Curves and Zumba aren’t listed.....or, I’m unable to find them. It would be nice to be able to enter my time and then calories burned auto populate. I added both as a custom feature, but have to manually calculate burned calories from findings on the internet. Not enough inconvenience to knock of a star. One big plus in the videos inside the Exercise section to show how to do the exercise. I’m new to CM but, in my humble opinion, the developers have done a helluva job meeting a variety of needs in a user-friendly environment. Thank you for making my weight-loss and good-health journey easier👏👏👏👏👏???? Oh! I love the big, colorful macro-tracking circle on My Day screen.....FUN!

Good but could be better. There is much to like here. The program is flexible, and there are lots of options. But having said that, there are things that are hard to do. For example, you want to create something with a recipe, then eat say 1/4 of it over 4 days. You can do it but it’s anything but easy. Then it always will stick around even if you never make it again. Then there is a problem of inaccurate scan information. I’m not sure if these are changing over time or if they are just wrong, but many are. I would say 25% are wrong. I send them the correct information but it wastes lots of time. Update: After using this app more for a few weeks, it only gets worse. The big problem is complexity. It’s just not easy to do the things I do daily. So I try to add my own recipe, sounds easy. So first you have to create it, then add foods to it, but wait, maybe the food has to be added, because its missing, so off to another screen to add it, then I scan a barcode item to add, but wait, the barcode comes up wrong, so off to another screen to fix it, and some details are not editable, like calories. Anyway very frustrating. Oh and the finding of items. Anyone can add any food with little checking of these because many times MANY foods show up with much different calorie or carb totals. Which is correct? It’s the Wild West. Don’t get me wrong, the program has good intentions but just falls short in many areas. Maybe in a few more years it will be better but not quite yet.

I’m finally really doing keto. I am thrilled with this app. I have tried keto on my own and have never succeeded. I would cut out what I thought I was supposed to be cutting out and I would not feel any better and I would not lose any weight. I have been using Carb Manager for about two weeks now and I know I’ve already lost 10 pounds. I started out at 234 lbs. I think I’ve lost more but it’s not time for me to weigh yet. I have no complaints about this app. It took a little bit to learn all the different things about the app but I have been able to figure it all out without any help. I finally understand the whole macro thing! This is what has been missing. I still had a mindset about fat. I’m 55 years old so I’ve had a lot of years of hearing that fat is bad fat is bad. I am doing great and I’m having plenty of food to eat and I’m never starving in fact I don’t even feel hungry I just get shaky. Thank you so very much for this app. It is changing my life!

Making goals Achievable. I am so excited about this app!! First all it is so easy to use! The scan feature allows me to quickly add foods using the barcode on the product; then it calculates based on portion size you choose so you know EXACTLY what you’re putting in your body! There is also an incredibly extensive quick search that has EVERYTHING you could eat in it! The goals feature allows you to set your daily goals, then helps you track how the goods you eat add up to your goal totals. I started this diet plan one week ago; I’ve been measuring my ketones daily and achieved mild ketosis on day three, and full ketosis on day six!! I keep to a 20 gm carb restriction, and 1500 calories. I have to say I feel GREAT! I didn’t get anywhere near my 1500 calories today, and I don’t feel hungry!! I have great energy, I sleep great and wake up ready to tackle my day! Toss us the best I’ve felt in YEARS!! I’m 39, with two kids, and excited that THIS IS WORKING! Carb Manager is definitely the key to my successful first week, and will continue to be my best Keto coach!! Thanks got such a great app!!

Finally! An app that actually works.. Learning to eat clean is difficult, because boredom of the same foods can be a problem. The recipes help, but they should all be free. The per servings when creating food items is confusing at times. The preset food nutritional information when created by users, are sometimes misleading, there should be a way for the app to verify the carb, fat, protein and calorie intake. I would also caution verifying the amount of calories burned during exercises that are entered by users. I also wish there was a way to convert per servings of a meal more accurate, although this app helped me lose 21 pounds in a month. Note: I stopped all intake of soda, after this app calculated the nutritional value, and showed me the macros for soda. I drank soda for 30 plus years. I would recommend a low carb, low fat, low calorie, high protein shopping list for beginners to print or download for shopping...it can be overwhelming getting started. Also, recommend incorporating shopping list with recipes, makes it easier to get started. Lastly, incorporating nutritional information with the grocery list would also help beginners do their shopping. Getting started was confusing, but out of all the apps, this one has helped me best.

Awesome!. This app is great! This is a real review, I don’t work for the company and no one has paid me to write this. I am also a picky consumer, I don’t write many glowing reviews, believe me. This app is easy to learn, it remembers all of the foods that you enter so that your frequent foods are easy to track. The scan feature is really convenient, just point at a new product and snap, it’s there with all the nutrition info! I thought I knew about what to avoid, and mostly I did, but this app has taught me to avoid things I didn’t know I should. It is truly helping to keep me on track with my goals. So far, I have just been using the free version, with really no limits on what I need it to do, just a nudge every once in a while to buy the premium version. I will buy the premium version now just to support the company because they have really done me a solid by providing this great app for free. If you want to track your eating, get this app, I really cannot recommend it more.

Great App But Needs Tweaks. I found this app last week and really enjoy using it. It easily helps me keep track of my macros and lets me see what I’m eating and where I can improve. That being said, there are a couple issues that reduce the user-friendliness of this app. First, you cannot enter your own recipe and save it. This is a great feature of the Weight Watchers app that I was hoping this one had. I can import a recipe from online, but I haven’t seen where I can create my own recipe and save it. Instead, I have to individually list each item (in let’s say homemade salad dressing), and there is no option to copy multiple ingredients from one day to the next. So even though I drink the same Keto coffee or eat leftovers for lunch from dinner the night before, I have to painstakingly copy each ingredient one by one. If I could just simply copy each one, that would be great, but instead the app flips you to the current day after selecting the meal time to place the copied ingredient. Right now I’m trying to copy certain ingredients from Sunday’s dinner to Monday’s lunch, and each time I select an ingredient to copy, I get reverted back to today, then have to back arrow twice to Sunday, scroll down, and copy the next item. It’s time consuming and tedious and really the only thing I would say should be fixed to make the app more user-friendly and efficient.

Awesome tracker. I wish I could give this app 5 stars. It’s actually my favorite food tracker by far. Easy to use and a great database while also being super easy to add custom foods and recipes and make corrections to existing foods! However, while I realize this app is focused on carbs, I don’t want carbs to ALWAYS be my focus. I really wish there was a way to either not show the carbs next to each food or better yet, have it focus on the macro of your choice such as fat or protein if you need to switch focus for a while. Same with the progress bars at the top. I wish I could change the macro that’s in focus with the long bar to show any macro or just calories. While managing carbs is important, sometimes I want to focus on getting enough fat or protein as well or just keep my total calories in better focus. I already pay for the premium version but it would definitely incentivize me to keep paying after this first year if those features were added.

Best NET CARB Nutrition App. (Update) Still the best app for tracking nutrition especially for calculating net carbs. However, the app is a little buggy at times which is usually easily remedied by closing the app and reopening; however, it’s inconvenient. That said, this app is still my favorite and is very well designed and targeted towards net carb calculation and tracking. The application interface and design is still the best out there. (Original post) This Carb Manager app is clearly the best nutrition management app I have used in years. I have been using a couple other (MyFitnessPal and Lose It) apps for several years (7+). Neither of those apps completely covered my needs like Carb Manager does to determine target nutrition goals, net carbohydrates, reliable food database, general metrics and statistics at a glance without having to perform manual calculations in my head or on paper. It has been frustrating to say the least and those inferior apps have always left me wanting something better. Well, this Carb Manager app is fantastic. Could not be happier. And the bonus is this app has a much better user interface and is so much more intuitive to use, and the annual or monthly premium membership is comparable if not cheaper than both of those “other” apps - double bonus! It also works beautifully on both the iPad and the iPhone.

4 pounds down!. I downloaded this app to help manage my husband’s diabetes and my pre diabetes. The recipes alone are, in my opinion, absolutely worth the subscription. I have ADD and don’t plan well at all and am inconsistent/forgetful, so the meal plans and grocery lists are a godsend! Most recipes are easy to add carbs to fit my picky teens. The articles are informative and include links to the studies etc. used. I have found that I need to double check the macros of user entered products, but that’s pretty easy. It’s also easy to enter new foods. The app crashed 4 times while trying to generate a 7 day meal plan and I had to restart each time. I’m hyper focusing on this so I have endless patience, lol! I like that I can exclude some food items in my food searches as my son is allergic to peanuts. I love that it automatically syncs to my keto mojo blood glucose monitor, and places the reading on the food log page so I can see how my meals are affecting by glucose and ketones. Overall I love this app! I’m already down 4 pounds, and my husband likes everything I have made from the recipe section!

Not registering intake?. I just entered my “breakfast“ on another popular app, and it told me that 1 teaspoon of braggs apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of Metamucil sugar-free registers as 40 caliries and 10g carbs. I enter the same two items on this app, and it registers 0 calories and 0 carbs of any kind, total or net or anything. What am I supposed to make of this? Does this app realize I ate at least something, and that this something does have at least calories, or not?? Also very difficult to navigate this app, as just trying to select how many teaspoons of something results in having to fudge with selecting the actual number of teaspoons and then the teaspoon/tablespoon selection itself, but there’s always this weird looking half bent number on the wheels above where are you need to line up those selections just so, so it appears that after you make all your selections, there is always something above and below it, and I don’t think there should be anything above it, zero. It’s very confusing. Additionally, it took me 15 minutes to figure out what to do after I got those numbers lined up… Eventually I wound up tapping where there is a checkmark in the green bar and that seem to make the selections “take“ And register in the daily food consumption list. It really should say something like enter or add or something, because it took me so long to figure this out. I’m not a fan of this interface.

Nice design refresh but.... The actual tracking of carbs/macros is now more complicated and less accurate. The old version - ugly as it was - made it super easy to see my total macros consumed, goals, exercise/activity (for smart macros function) and adjusted net values all in one place at the bottom of the daily log. Now you’re making me swipe through multiple charts to find this info. And not only that, the math is wrong! For example, when I add a food entry to a meal, the app will list the net carbs for that serving and let me know that if I add the item I’ll have maybe 2 net carbs left to “spend” that day. But then when I go to the Home Screen, it gives me a different number, often much higher. And by “home screen” I’m talking about the daily log where I now have to scroll through multiple chart views to figure out what my gross and net totals are for calories and macros. What the...?! I think you’ve prioritized form over function with this new update. I’ve lost confidence in this tool now.

Premium recipe?. I was previously using MyFitnessPal to track my food but it didn’t show carbs unless I subscribed to premium. So I found this app specifically for keto! How cool! I created an account and started to log my daily food and realize I can’t log my lunch because it’s “premium recipe”... I know EVERY stupid app makes you pay for features that slightly improve use or enjoyment. But making people subscribe simply to WRITE DOWN a food item is ridiculous. I know most that will read this comment will just say “it’s only 8 bucks a month just subscribe.” But honestly EVERY dollar counts to me right now and I can’t. I’m trying to better my life and lose a lot of weight to stay healthy for my husband and I to hopefully have a child soon. I can’t afford to sub. So I guess I’ll just pick some other food item that’s similar even though it’s asinine to even have to. This isn’t FarmVille or some game people spend money on for extra loot chests or whatever. It’s a life management app and I just want to watch my carbs in one place without being harassed to buy yet another monthly subscription to something.

An amazing tool. I have had a great experience using this app. It’s easy to use, and is on my cell phone — so, I can update or edit my food intake and track my protein, carb, fat, and calorie intake through out the day. It has been easy to find and match the foods that I eat which makes it easy to be accurate and personalized about my exact food intake. It’s also very user friendly vehicle so it allows me to easily see if a particular food that I may be consider for consumption will fit into the limits/goals — that I’ve intentionally chosen for myself since it has a display panel that shows the maximum amount of calories, proteins, carbs, and fats that I’ve decided to consume daily. I am currently using this as a weight loss tool because, I unfortunately had put on 30lbs during the current Covid worldwide pandemic. I’m excited to say that I’ve already lost 7lbs is just 10 days. I have lost this weight without starving myself at all. I can also track my activities, exercising, and water intake too. I can’t wait to continue — and I plan to loose all my covid weight gain. I plan to use this app even after I reach my goal weight — because, my body thrives on a moderate calorie, low carb, high protein diet that incorporates good fats. I love how the program has notations about keto friendly foods. I also hope to eventually use the many great recipes that are linked to this site. Hip hip hooray to the help that this app offers with regard to healthy eating. Thank you!

Makes it easy to track and instill habits !. I recently made the decision to try the keto diet. Many friends swear by it, and I see how people with epilepsy May benefit from it. As someone with epilepsy I decided to give it a go and see all the hype not tracking anything at first and I definitely felt like I needed something to keep me accountable and on track. I tried another app, but they only let you log 5 things in the free version before you must pay. For someone trying it out and trying keto I don’t want to pay especially in the beginning. Luckily I found Carb Manager. I like how as someone new to keto I can see my progress and make decisions from there. I have the free version and there’s tons the app is capable of within that itself, however with the premium feature you unlock more. In the future if I get more into it I might invest in that! I’ve had one or two issues, like when I recorded my weight for another day it updated my previous weight . I left a message in the app and they got back with me, longer than the 6 hours they promised but still ! I’ve had a bit of difficulty inputting my own recipes too, but I’m still figuring out all the app can do, but I’m extremely happy so far with my experience so I’ll give it 5 stars and recommend this to anyone trying the KetoDiet

Love the Carb Manager Keto Diet app. Love this app!!! I am able to manage my Carb intake. It allows one to track net carbs, total carbs, fiber, fat, protein and calories, by inputting to my daily log. Your Able to create your favorite recipes, scan in your favorite Keto food. One of my favorite things on this app is the Keto Grade. This allows you to see if your choice of food is allowed on KetoDiet. Gives you a grade, for example, if you input something that is not Keto friendly, it will give you a grade F (avoid). For us newbies on Keto this is a great tool to have on an app. Also able to track water intake, as well as your Exercise, cardio, weights. Also tracks ones weight and body measurements. This app is everything you need to be successful On the KetoDiet. Great app for free. Now they do have Premium version. It cost, I would purchase the Premium, but, my budget does not allow it right now. The Premium gives you access to many recipes, meal planner, shopping list, you are able to connect with your fitness device. Connects to Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Health, Apple Watch.

Perfect for getting started. I am trying the Keto diet and did not know where or how to get started with all the rules, seems everything has carbs in it...I downloaded the free app and it’s great! It helped me purge what I had in the house, took a bit of entering all the items in the app, but the effort was worth it. Not only did it tell me what was in the food, but more importantly to me, made me conscious of what I HAVE been eating and what goes in my body now is in the front of my mind. Especially that I’m not getting younger... I’ve used this app for just over a week now, and have already lost 5 lbs, have not touched a weight, walk, treadmill, any sort of cardio, and I feel great! (A little help from a friend, take a couple of shots of pickle juice each day the first week, sounds weird, and bathroom visits, but it works and is worth it!!!) I’m not at the point where I want to pay for the extra, but the basic free app is well worth it to be more conscious of what to eat and what not to eat. Recommend it if your not very ‘food savvy’ of what macros are in the food you eat.

5-stars if you’re ready to upgrade to Premium. Carb Manager has been a wonderfully useful app for me. The interface is extremely user friendly, it has great visuals that keep it from looking bland (as food tracking often feels for me), and I love the level of customization of goals and amount of pre-built recommendations available. While Carb Manager sounds like it’s designed for Keto diets, it actually works great for more traditional diet plans, as well (ie Zone, Body Building, etc). I use it for Low-Carb, High-Fat that was recommended by my doctor (not as carb restrictive as Keto), and it had that option pre-built, as well. I’m really excited about trying the Premium features, but haven’t taken the plunge yet. The good thing is that it’s more affordable than most premium upgrade options from similar apps. Once I decide on which Apple Watch my wife and I are getting, I’ll upgrade to premium (required for Apple Health syncing) and update then. The fact that premium is required for that is the only reason this app gets 4-stars; otherwise it’d easily be 5-stars. If you’re willing to pay the $40/year, then it’ll be a 5-Star app for sure (assuming you actually use it, which is the crux of most food/calorie tracker apps).

Easiest to use for LCHF. I’ve been using the app daily for more than 7 months now. I’m down 58lbs, and I think carb manager has helped me stay on track. It’s easy to use, and provides all the information I need. I have the premium so I can also track my micronutrients. (Electrolytes!) The free version works as well, so there’s no need to purchase the premium version. My only complaint is it’s difficult to communicate with friends on the app. They’ve made improvements, so it’s getting better. Also the fasting tracking is effected by every entry including supplements and items like salt. And Fitbit is the only way to record steps. However, I’m not expecting this app to do everything, so I have other apps for fasting and fitness. They’ve also added a grading system for entries, to show if something is keto friendly. For example coffee has an A grade, and carb balance tortillas have a B grade. Might be a handy tool for anyone starting out. It’s certainly worth trying, as there is a free version. I’ve noticed over time, that people that continue to track are the most successful. It does not matter if people have the premium or free version. KCKO!

Best Food Tracker in the App Store. Finally an app that has an easy interface, accurate food lists and a database of everything I eat. The Scanner, unlike other apps hasn't missed a single item I have tried which ensures everything I want to track is counted precisely. Getting into a Keto Diet can be a little confusing to figure out the percentages of foods, but no more. With Carb Manager, you have a simple to read Pie chart or circle graph with your daily values just to the right. If you eat similar foods everyday there are multiple ways for you to bring them over to the current day. I use the copy to command all the time. It works for single items or entire meals. The free version does everything I need, but because it works so well, I am going to buy the premium service so I can integrate it with my exercise goals and take advantage of the devices, get recipe ideas, meal planners and shopping lists. One last note. This app syncs with a web page so you can also use your computer to do the same stuff as your smart phone. 5 stars. My health thanks you!!

Only app I use. I’ve been using this app for 2 years now. It’s one of the few that I purchased a premium membership. It’s worth it and to get the most out of the app and your goals, I highly recommend purchasing vs the free usage where you are limited. The intuitiveness and features of what I can do has surpassed a lot of other apps I’ve tried to use. I can track what I need to track based on my individual goals (macros), track exercise (just recently connected to my Apple Watch, so hopeful of that), look up recipes with instructions, log food with an extensive database to choose from (have yet to find something not already in the database!), etc. This app has instructions on how to perform exercises you may not be familiar with, videos on how to prepare a recipe, etc. This app does it all and the developers took everything into account. Definitely recommend! This is also the first review I’ve done on an app...it’s just that good.

Really liking the revamp. I looked at carb manager before the Regan and just couldn’t get into it. I really like what they have done, you can tell that they put a lot of thought and hard work into their new and improved app. I love how easy it is to enter foods the barcode scanner has worked crazy fast for me with everything I’ve scanned so far. There’s tons of metrics you can teac track which is a huge plus for me because now I can have it all in one app instead of flipping through 3 like I did before. I can enter my blood glucose & ketone readings and it calculates my GKI. I can keep track of my body measurements to see how I’m progressing over time along with my weight. There’s just so much! It’s great. There are some bugs that still need to be worked out and crashing on the build a meal plan portion. I also wish that you didn’t have to pick a date to start your meal plan or so much food before moving on to the next step. The social aspect is nice, because it’s always enjoyable to run ideas past others on the same journey. Also the fact that they have recipes in app is awesome. Though I wish there was a dedicated spot for favorited recipes and the ability to create a shopping list from the favorites. I mean if we can make a meal plan shopping list why not make that feature available too. All in all this has been the perfect app for me. I hope they keep with these great improvements. Subbed to premium I liked everything so much.

Loving it!. I have tried multiple diets and multiple apps but this app is by far the easiest. It generates with nice visuals the percentages of everything you're eating and it's very user friendly. I started my modified Keto diet about 2 weeks ago and was dreading creating a meal plan and logging it but this app makes it so easy, I've already lost more weight than I anticipated. I really knew this app was going to help me when it started asking me questions when I first downloaded it and it generated my carb intake along with water intake and exercise. I will probably be going with the paid subscription so I can link it to my Fitbit and take my steps into consideration but I love that it's free to log almost everything else and it lets you log such specific measurements that other apps don't. The ONLY problem I have seen is that this app has slightly different carb counts than the nutrition labels on some of my foods I buy at Meijer but it's great for averaging it to within just one or two carbs, the ones I've noticed are cottage cheese, feta cheese, and canned chicken. I LOVE this app and would highly recommend it to anybody that is looking for a tool to assist in weight loss.

Very precise, easy to use!. I have tried a lot of different health apps. This is by are the best. I don’t usually care enough about something to leave a review, good or bad. But this app does everything I need it to. I have to be extremely careful with my carbs for blood sugar’s sake. It is so nice to be able to see my day at a glance, and note my trends over time. You can do this with almost any app, but the difference here is the EASE. It is so easy to use! I love being able to copy my meals to different days. It does all of the nice things my fitness pal does, I.e. save frequent meals and recipes, give you your macro breakdown, set goals, PLUS it has education, it has meal ideas, and you can log blood sugar and other similar things (like keto readings). Other fitness apps takes ages to log meals, are glitchy. And the layout of things is confusing or at least usually is to me. This is the most user friendly app I’ve come across. Of all the ones I’ve tried, this one is the best!

Great. Love this app. Easy to navigate and stacks of good info and tracking. Definitely get the premium version. Would be great with a separate notes section to put all your notes and ideas etc to refer to instead of only on each day. Would save going back searching! Otherwise great!

Love this app!!. I use to be a Ketogenic Practitioner years ago and I must say this has to be the best carb controlling app available. You have recipes, books, and meal plans that make it so easy to track. You get this all on premium and it is worth the $. You will be able to stay in ketosis and gave all the assistance you need. 👏🏻

Better than myfitnesspal. I've used many apps to track my food and this is by far the best. The food data base is so extensive. 90% of product barcodes I scan come up. This makes tracking macros on keto so simple. It links up with my Fitbit so all of my info is in one place. I can even share my daily log via email with my personal trainer. I love this app.

Great software. I’ve been using Carb Manager now for 15 months. It has been instrumental in my achievements in my KETO eating plan. I use it daily recording all of my intake eliminating guesswork. Love it and I have recommended this system to at least ten friends and family to assist them in their Keto trials. I highly recommend Carb Manager to anyone trying to loose that extra kilo.

Happy eating. I’ve avoided this diet because I love bread and pasta etc but decided I really need to change my eating habits. l’ve just finished day 4 so not much experience yet. I really like the recipes and the choices are many. I’ve changed my choice of vegetables and are eating more cabbage, and even turnip - and enjoying it! I haven’t needed anything sweet yet but it will come and lm happy to see there are plenty of options. I like that I can use the barcode which make it easier with my my preferred foods. It’s reasonably easy to get around the areas and sort of understand what I’m doing. So so far so good.

OK if you live in the USA but.... I like this app, and I thought a few dollars/month for premium was a fair price. However, for the rest of the world that isn’t the USA, the functionality of the quantities in metric is significantly limited. For all of us non-US folk who by their meat etc in grams - typically a steak might be 300 grams our first problem was that the number counter only goes up to 99, so you have to do 99g 3 times to get the total quantity. The second problem us that if you select kilogram as your measure you then have to use the scale of 1/3, 1/4, 1/8, etc of a kg which does not give us an accurate measure. Please add 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, etc to the quantity dial, and add a percentage eg .1, .2, to the size dial or even better - give us a better option to select the units (I did select SI/Metric Units but have the above problems.

Changes. I had a membership which i finished and stopped using for a while - I have just restarted using the app again - my fitbit tracker doesn’t work now - it used to track my exercise - after checking I see it is no a paid feature . Not sure why this is. I paid for the programme and thought it would remain after I completed the year

Good pros and only little cons. I’ve swapped from MFP to CM for ease in my Keto lifestyle. Love how much easier and user friendly it is! My only issues is it can sometimes glitch and enter my food into the wrong day which can be annoying. My other recommendation would be to be able to search a word then swap to my “recents” Or “frequent” etc. without deleting my search engine and have to renter every time. Otherwise a great app!

I absolutely love this app 😍. I downloaded this app and signed up for the premium and it is the most simplest most organised app I used to do keto. The recipes and pictures are so helpful, the ingredients are easy to get and the set out is very manageable. It calculates everything for me and I especially used and shopping list. I will sign up for a year after my first 3 months worth its weight in gold!

Unable to change carb counter. When cooking and making home cooked meals unable to to input the correct amount of carbs, fats etc into program. Otherwise quite good app. I don’t want to pay premium as these things often too hard to get out of.

Great app, but keeps hanging. I love everything about this app, except when it hangs and I have to quit and restart it. It does this a few times every day, which is enough to be annoying and loses it a star on what would otherwise have been a five star rating.

Best Diet App ever. Whether you are Keto or just calorie counting this app is the absolute best! You can play around with serving sizes to hit your targets for each day and it is just so easy to create your own recipes or use others! You can load new foods using the scanner and the nutrient panel on the package too. It’s an absolute bargain and way better than the WW app for one tenth the price. Works well for Australian products too which is awesome. Really motivates me to stick to plan, 5kgs down, 10 to go!!

Fabulous app. I only have the free version and find it amazing for tracking carbs, fat and protein. When adding in what I have eaten for the day, the drop down lists have a huge range of foods set up and easy to record how much I ate as I can choose from a weight, liquid measure or cups/teaspoons etc. I have added in the ingredients for several of my favourite recipes to work out the carbs/serve. I also love being able to copy a breakfast across from one day to the next or save it so that it records in every breakfast - which you can then still edit one or more items to record the foods eaten that day. I am hugely grateful to the developers. Well done and thanks for being part of my low carb success.

This is excellent even if you don’t count carbohydrates.. I’m actually on a high carbohydrate/low fat vegetarian diet. I regard any diet to be a fad diet if proponents of it regard it as best. And the low carbohydrate/high fat ketogenic diet definitely falls into that category. I think that there’s a large number of perfectly acceptable diets including the ketogenic one. I don’t normally count calories or major food components such as fats, carbohydrates and protein. I downloaded this App just out of interest to see what the composition of my diet actually is, using it just for a few days. I’d guessed previously that my diet is 70:20:10 carbohydrate:protein:fat (and it will be interesting to see what it actually is) but it’s very easy to use with extra features including being able to include exercise calories, so I may continue using it. The premium version is of no interest to me - why would I be interested in ketogenic meals? According to the ketogenic crowd on a high carbohydrate diet I ought to be fat, diabetic and constantly hungry. But I’m not - to all three. If anything, my problem is that I’m underweight and not hungry enough to eat sufficient food for my needs.

Love this app!. I’ve just started keto (7 days) & I wanted an app that made it easy. This app is so easy as it keeps me on track with my food. I was a yo-yo dieter but I’m determined to never be that again. I believe this has helped me and I love the challenge of keeping in my quota. All that you need is on this app. Spend a few hours scanning your fave foods and items in your cupboard and fridge and save them to ‘my foods’ tab. It’s really worth doing this and saves a bunch of time later. A suggestion for improvement on this app would be to give the metric system & to also show Aldi food options as it’s very popular in Australia.

Amazing 😍. Honestly I only just started using this app, but I absolutely love it! I have managed to lose weight within the first week! There is something about knowing what your eating and the amount of carbs, fat, sugar etc that makes you realise how easy it really is just to cut back on the nasties, if you want to cut back on the junk food or just count calories and keep track of what your eating this is definitely the app for you! Keep up the good work CarbManager! ❤️

Latest update completely wrecked this app. Bought this app 8 months ago and found it easy to use and assisted in keeping on track with my diet and would have highly recommend this, but since the latest update this app has become very difficult to get anything done unless you are very patient and don’t care about wasting time waiting for searches and trying to find basic stuff. Since the update the whole thing is on a go slow- It is slow to find any type of food, it takes 10 times longer to complete the data input and at times my phone goes to sleep while I am waiting for the app to finish a search. Guys you’ve really stuffed this up! Bring back the old product please!!!!!

Confidence in knowing your macros.. Quick & easy to use. Really gives you an understanding of what foods are made up of. Gives great tracking of your foods. Takes the guesswork out of your menu and allows you to plan your days, weeks etc. Love it can’t function confidently without it.

Sceptical Aussie. I found upon my search that Australia is left out as far as searching foods or bar codes goes, but not here this app has covered all bases and made starting a Keto diet that much easier. I recommend this app to anyone thinking of or beginning a keto lifestyle and I believe I’ll continue to use this app for a very long time as it saves hours in figuring out macros, net carbs and so on. Well done and thank you.

Since last update it is difficult to navigate and can’t scan barcodes. Hi I have used this app for a few years, was premium for 12 months and loved it. I have recently restarted using the app and upgraded to premium. It used to be so easy to get around and navigate but now it looks like I have to go outside the app and long hold on the app to bring up a menu to scan. How annoying! It worked once, and scanning appeared to open but then just went to main menu. When I have subsequently tried this method to scan, it just went to home page. I am going to ask for a refund. What a waste of money! Di

Unfortunate!. I had this app months ago, changed phones and forgot to put it on my new one. The functions I remember very well as well as what was for free! Now everything has to be paid for apart from filling in your daily intake! This will not want to make me use the app and just goes to show these developers are just as greedy as the rest! Severely disappointing! UPDATE- they sent me a messege and did not listen at all to my request or reply to anything I have said ! So disappointing that this app went from 100-1 very fast !

Love the app but need few tweaks. I love the app. Help me alot during my keto journey. But a few minor tweaks, might able to turn this app into perfect. Barcode library need to be more extensive (eg like in MyFitnessPal). To enter amount eg gram, instead of turning the number wheel, typing number would be more appropriate, you would imagine if you have to turn the wheel to 99gram?? Clean up some of the food list, there are some conflicting ones, eg salmon and salmon raw. Both have different net carbs.

Realistic tracker. This app has a huge number of products and foods pre loaded. This makes it easy to realistically track what you are eating and the macro content. The only improvement I’d ask for is for things like jam, nut butters and condiments to be inputable by teaspoon or tablespoon. I’ve got no clue how many grams or ounces of peanut butter I ate, but I usually know pretty easily about how many tablespoons.

Not sure on premium features.. I’ve been using this app for nearly a year and I’ve only discovered that when you adjust your macros, it doesn’t change the diet as stated on the premium features. I’ve recently joined the gym and adjusted my calories/protein to help with muscle growth. However the recipes stay the same as before. I’ve made the adjustments on the setting to adjust for future and past meals. Meals are getting old and I think the developers need to create new meals to keep this app fresh. I will confirm that I have lost weight on the meals, however I’m now thinking was I starving myself? Not sure if I’ll be renewing my membership when it expires.

More Metric friendly- Please!. Great app, just needs to be more metric friendly. Having the option to go above 99 would be awesome so you don’t have to convert to Ozs when using grams. Also being able to use a numerical key pad to input values would be helpful too. (iOS operating system) If you’re a couple doing keto, the sharing meals/ macros makes life easier when planning meals and your day.

Bit Clunky …. Had this app for about 4 weeks, my main peeves are when you enter data after a fasting period it breaks your fast? When I’m not using the fasting component you can adjust a meal time. I have issues with app syncing from my laptop also several times I get stuck in the app and need to shut my phone down to restore. Some of the items on there have been recorded incorrectly. Also a number of items I have scanned the app doesn’t recognise them possibly because I’m in Australia . You can add food manually but a bit ho humm. I’ll give it another month I’m on the paid version.

Needs a software update. I have had this app for about 2 months, i even paid for membership and now the app has started to not work properly. A lot of the time it is not working when i try to choose something to add to my daily log..

Fab App. Only downside is it asks you a million times to sign in and once you do it doesn’t always save so it keeps asking. I even use it when I’m off keto because it’s the most user friendly macro app I’ve used so far!

If your new to Keto this app puts you right on track!. Best app for carb counting or keto. As a newbie to Keto this app has really got me started and on track. The barcode scanner is amazing good. I don’t think I have come across something it hasn’t been able to find.. downside.. it’s expensive for an app and if you want to add the recipes you need to pay... but Awesome app!

Horrible update. The newest update is horrible. There’s too much jargon on the page and cannot type in foods as the keyboard freezes the app. Bring back the TOTAL calories consumed a day, not the net. I used this to trace a calorie deficit but now you fully Ketoed the thing and I don’t find it as useful like I used to as I’m not doing Keto. I shouldn’t have to calculated manually my total cals (you only show net cals after subtracting exercise, no thanks I want to know total cals consumed as well). Also cannot add a manual exercise. It’s all over the place. Too much going on and no longer simple or streamlined. Will find an alternative app.

Carb Manager App. It was going along great but as of last two days I cannot load on my phone and i don’t have a computer!! Pretty poor communication as to whether servicing happening but it’s soooo frustrating that the App you are trying to use to manage your Carbs etc isn’t accessible!!!!! Not happy! Very frustrating and yeah, peeed off big time!! Plus I’ve paid for the 3 months premium? But I can’t access the App! 😡

Great appp. This is a fantastic app and there are many aspects of it which I think are better than myfitnesspal. The ability to track net carbs automatically is definitely the main one. There are better functions for tracking and recording your daily log (such as the ability to copy either a specific food item or your entire breakfast / lunch / dinner etc to a specific date). However, I wish that the app lays out the macros for each ingredient in a recipe so that we can easily adjust ingredients to ensure that the total meal for that recipe is within our macro targets. Right now you have to manually click into each ingredient and then add it up yourself.

Great app ! 🏆. Fantastic app! It’s a plus that you can scan barcodes . I have so far lost 21 kg in 4 months I recommend it to everyone that is serious about losing weight . Keeps me on track , great that everything is worked out for you , carbs , micronutrients etc . A big thumbs up 👍

Keto Happy. I love Carb Manager. Since starting a keto plan 3 months ago I have lost 6kg, but not only that, I feel so much better. I have more energy and feel great. It has made me very aware of the ridiculous amount of carbs I was putting in my body. I’m a pretty active person but you can only burn off so many calories/ sugar/carbs. Now I look at eating differently and enjoy the premium recipes. Thank you 😃

Carb manager got me back on track. I started doing Keto recipes from the 4th January 21. I didn’t track my macros. After losing 6 kilo’s in 3 weeks, I started to level out and not lose any more weight, that lasted 10 days. I down loaded various Keto apps but settled on Carb Manager. I started tracking my food/drink intake in line with the macro limits outlined by Carb Manager to achieve my weight goal. I instantly got back on track and have lost weight every day since which has been 10 days since tracking my macros. I am using the free version of the app and I have found it fantastic. It can be time consuming imputing all your ingredients for a recipe so I may upgrade. If not for this, then just as a thank you for putting such a great tool to market for people to start their health journey. I think Carb Manager is an awesome app. Shane Astwood - Cairns Australia.

Great app but limited metric options. This app has a lot going for it but metric options are limited and clunky. Having to log three entries for the same food for the same meal just because it’s in grams and the numbers only go to 99 is really annoying. Anyone using this app outside the US would have the same issue. I paid for premium access and this lack of functionality is really letting down the app and your customers. Why are you only using fractions? Pretty much the entire would outside the US uses the decimal and metric system. Please update this feature and you’ll get 5 stars from me.

I love this app. First thing you should know is that I’m am really frugal. Never buy apps never bother to purchase the paid part of apps. The things is on a whim I purchased this one and after a week I’m obsessed. The results have been so good. 2.1kg in 5 days. Love the recipes and love the macro calculator. Finally keto works for me. Finally I’m getting results instead of free eating and not realising why I’m not getting results. Love the way the app adjusts recipes based on my macros. Way cheaper than a dietitian if you have the desire to learn.

Easy to use. Out of all the apps I have tried over the years, this seems to be the easiest. Adding foods is simple. You can even update entries if the data is wrong or changed. The app will remember what you have entered as record your information. You can enter recipes and get you macros per serve. It really has been great. Competitions are good too.

Stop struggling. I was struggling to adapt to a Keto way of eating by myself. I lost same weight then put most of it back on. When I downloaded this app I was very sceptical but it’s the best thing I could have done for myself. It is very simple to use and gives me a real time picture of what I am eating and keeps the macro balance sorted for me. On my own I was eating way too much protein and too many calories. Thank you 😊

Carb tracker. Used this several years ago & it was very helpful counting carbs. The new free version is much better, has more foods and I’m able to put in my own recipes which I wasn’t able to do before. I can’t access any of the recipes in the free version which is a bit annoying but there are so many low carb recipes around that it’s not that big a deal.

Disappointed. This used to be a good reasonably quick app. Since the latest update it’s hideously slow to up load. Eventually I found my favourite foods previously saved, however I gave up trying to find how to add it to my daily intake. All food are saved under their name and not variety. Its really time consuming having to scroll through the entire length of saved foods to find an item name I.e Cheese. Why not save them all as cheese: and then their brand and type after. It’s very annoying when you can’t quite remember the full brand name or variety. Much simpler if I could have gone cheese and then looked for name. I just don’t have the time for this app. Big no from me and going back to a much, much quicker app.

Makes Keto so much easier to follow. This has been so good in assisting me with numbers for the Leto way of living. I’m not great with numbers and this takes so much guess works out of carbs and macros. Lots of common food to find and easy to use. Great to see what I need to make up or how I’ve gone over for the day.

Recipe Import function bug. Im a bit disappointed, one of my main reasons for going with the premium option was for the recipe import function (which you can do on myfitnesspal for FREE & it has no bugs) but everytime I go to import a recipe from a website I get errors. I’ve got JavaScript enabled and have checked all other settings with the browsers, so it’s got to be something on the app end. I can’t accurately track without importing the recipe, and I don’t have time to go through every single recipe and I put every detail myself. Please fix this.

Simple!. Easy to keep track with the ability to scan barcodes. Easy to use. Can track cals, macros, or whatever your focus is. Keeps you very accountable & shows you easily where you’re calorie intake is coming from; cheeky bit of mayo? Sauce? You’ll be surprised

Best carb counter yet. For the Atkins diet, this free app is so great! I love that you can copy ingredients or meals from previous days. On Atkins I tend to eat the same thing for a few days at a time (as I live alone & it makes it easier). I can copy the meals to the next day, to count the carbs in each amount of foods and for each meal. I love that you can see the graph of amounts of protein vs fat vs crabs in one day. And that you can track it all according to your goals, ie Atkins Phase 1 you have to stay under 20net grams of carbs. And this app shows you when you hit the red zone (going over) - so I prepare the carb counter for dinner, and adjust amounts of each ingredient if the carbs start going over. Amazing! Thank you!

Griddy M. The app is very user friendly and has a great barcode scan feature. I immediately upgraded to premium and loved it. Unfortunately the app glitches a lot and couldn’t handle a long carb streak - which was my main motivation. It couldn’t keep the streak going so my work wasn’t recognised. Their help team hasn’t resolved the problem but say they will continue to work on it. Sometimes the meals I input didn’t register so I had to re input and forgot what I ate or did.

Mostly great. I appreciate the wide range of foods and the ability to input exact grams into macros and specify track by net carbs. What would make this app worth buying though is the ability to manually input how many grams of a product I’m inputting. Using the scroll bar is frustrating. It only goes up to 100 and scrolling down makes the whole page scroll down. Fix that and I’ll pay for premium. I can go premium for this app or MFP and right now MFP looks like a leader because I can input weights much easier.

Hardly ever loads. I hardly ever pay for an app but because I’m doing the keto diet I thought it would be helpful. I love this app because of the recepies but it’s very frustrating as it hardly ever works and when you open the app it stays in loading... mode....I also just found out that all of my personal meals I’ve created just disappeared..I’m very annoyed about this.. they need to pick up their game as paying more so much $$ for an app that doesn’t deliver isn’t fair... very dissapointed

So disappointed this great app has been ruined. Can’t tell you how much I now hate this once brilliant app. It takes forever to load recipes and then only loads a few. Half the time it won’t load anything. It’s glitchy, clunky and hard to use. It was simple and easy before. Now it’s all bells and whistles and doesn’t work half as well. The developers say You can delete ingredients from recipes but users say it doesn’t work - it used to be easy and simple. If you search for say breakfast recipes you get a few options but not all so you have to know exactly what your wanting and search for it specifically. You can’t sort recipes in the search according to carb content. When searching for recipes they go over the screen so you have to scroll sideways as well as down. But really - why when I search breakfast can’t I just get all breakfasts? I used to use this app every day. Now I avoid it and go to alternatives first. I won’t be repurchasing this app unless they restore some of its previous simple beauty. Listen to your users and go back to the previous cm6.

Excellent tracking for keto diet. I switched from My Fitness Pal to use this and properly track macros for keto. Haven’t had a problem with any database foods and if some are incorrect you can choose someone’s corrected version. User-friendly and makes tracking more enjoyable.

Why ruin a good thing?. Was perfectly happy with the old app, but really finding the new interface hard to use, and not very intuitive. Search is nowhere near as good as it was. Probably won’t renew my membership.

Still the best value. I’ve tried the others. The ones with lots of extra features and attractive designs. Still go back to CM. It does exactly what I want and no more.

Love this app. Makes following the keto diet so much easier

Carb Manager. I send this 3 years ago and lost 50 pounds. I got lazy and quit but I am back. Looking forward to my progress 😊

Great app. I find it easy to navigate, well packed with details on food items and enough options to adjust to individual preferences The only question is related to the calculation of percentages from the 3 food groups Just by adding these 3 groups and calculating the percentage of each, I don't get the programmed percentage For example 5 %- 25 %- 70 %doesn't mach 27gr 137gr 171gr (What am I missing?)

Is Carb Manager app down. Wondering if Carb manager app down? Won’t open for me all day today? Pay for premium so even more frustrating.

App needs lots of work. I just purchased an annual membership yesterday. Very unhappy with this app. Not user friendly, very slow and actually some recipes freeze my iPad. Would like a refund, but can’t find a way to contact them.

Great but……. Love all the tools, trackers, and recipes. But…… this app is very slow to load anything and freezes often. Horribly annoying, have to close and reopen frequently. My cache is cleared so it isn’t that. If it weren’t for this I’d happily give 5 stars.

Amazing app!!!. This is the best one!!! New to keto, a keto expert and in between, this is the one!!! You can sign up and pay a minimal amount for a year or not. If you don’t, you still get recipes and the tracker system!! Great explanations, super easy to follow and you can even scan food barcodes!!!! Highly recommend.

More language please !!!. why did you only put English as the language. why not put French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and other languages! I find it really a shame because the application looks really good. that's why I don't want to upgrade to the premium version. too bad

Amazing app.. Has helped me on so many levels in my journey.

Loading screen. It would be nice if the app would open up and work instead of continuously trying to load.

Why the change. I loved this app prior to the developer changing it , I was excited to use it again after a keto break , I won’t be using it any longer it’s tedious , not very user friendly . PLEASE reinstate the previous design .

Not enough information.. I downloaded the app thinking it was free. Then after making an account found out they had a yearly fee for “premium”. (Expensive for those on fixed incomes). But though ok I’ll just use the free app…however the recipes and ingredients require a “premium” subscription…so deleting the app as it is no use to me without ingredients.

Can I can cancel. I just signed up for a year. Can I cancel as this won’t work for me. Thanks

Easy to use. Very user friendly and it is the easiest food tracker app that I have used as far as creating my own recipes. The database is huge and I haven’t yet run in to a food that it couldn’t find when scanned.

Start to lock you out with premium ads. As the title says it’ll randomly start bombarding you with premium ads can’t even add stuff

No new look!. I hate the new look! I want the old look back. It works better for me visually. Please give us the option to go back.

Easy and proactive. Love this app so easy great way to track and get excited on your progress. You can see it right away. You can look back at where your faltering you can fix problems before they get out of hand you can adjust. The only thing I would like is if it wasn’t always premium to do a little more to get a little more support a little more tools to do that much better. 100% recommend it especially if you’re doing keto as I am I was new and on educated and I’ve learned so much and I appreciate this app it’s private and you can also share with friends and family.

Is now working. Update: Thank you so much for reaching out to me so quickly 😊 Carb Manager started working again on my iPhone the very next day!! Thank you for the quick fix! I really appreciate your app and support! Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I have been using Carb Manager for a year now. I have diabetes type 1 so really count on it for carb counting and it’s been working perfectly. However as of today, Nov 29, 2023 it won’t even open. I use iPhone 14 Pro Max using iOS 17.1.1 My iPad also is on 17.1.1 and it works just fine there. Hopefully this can be fixed. I tried rebooting etc and nothing is helping. If I delete app off my iPhone it says I will lose all of my data. Don’t want that! Please look into this

Best keto app. Easy to use. Great data. Tried many others this one is bomb.

Carb Manager. Not thrilled with the upgrade today. Very slow and the Analysis and other functions have disappeared or are so buried that I cant find them. Harder to edit entries. Everything seems so much more difficult.

If grams are used.... Over seems very good, except if you use grams. It is cumbersome, and only goes up to 99! Needs to be odometer style, 3 column, 1s, 10s, 100s or some method that is fast.

In french. I would have this app in french

App deleted my account. App deleted my account for no apparent reason along with the portfolio of foods built up over the last 6 months.

Excellent App❤️. This is just what I needed to navigate the keto diet. Made my life so much easier.

Really great app. This app has helped me so much. Even though there are things you can’t access unless you pay for a membership; this app (unlike others) allows you to use a good portion of the app for free. I don’t have a membership and still find it very helpful !

Losing with a good attitude. This is a great app learning how keto really works, being challenged to keep track of foods and reading articles to help along the way, good recipes to try and game changer ideas.I love it!

AMAZING APP. As a person who has done the Dr Bernstein diet multiple times. I can guarantee you that this is much better in terms of money and everything else! Very convenient and very fun to use!

Amazing UX. Everything stays out of the way until you want it added (e.g. fasting); the focus on core macros which are the only well understood nutrient-level scientifically; the openess to configure your macros the way you want (you aren't being told anything); simple UI for adding meals; reusable and copyable elements to build your own quick database; and clear feedback on the macros nutrient distribution. After 5 days my favourite iPhone application bar none, and I only installed it to look up a few carb counts. Now I'm all in.

Carbmanager. I have lost 32lbs to date, I don’t think it would have been possible without carb manager, this app is easy to use, very helpful with your daily monitoring. Highly recommend #1 in my books!

Helpful App. CarbManager is extremely helpful when trying to track and improve daily eating habits. It helps me avoid snacks and adjust the following meal to fit macros. Highly recommend. I’ve used both Paid and Free versions and both are excellent tools. Thank you.

Hopeful. I used this app once in the past and felt wonderful with a 30lb weight loss, going to try this again a little more hardcore and seriously to become my healthiest best self.

This app crashes constantly. I’d prefer to give this zero stars. It crashes or won’t open or glitches in free version, so don’t pay for it.

Could be a bit better. It’s ok but could be made a bit better. The widget has a nice graph but the data and protein are switched around. The graphs on the home page aren’t actually different. It’s hard to view comparisons because the scales don’t match. The prediction stuff changes by month and not by day. Ie you could be at your target weight in October 22 2022 one day and the next day Nov 22 2022 while if you look at the graph which is all curvy, it indicates June. So almost all of the graphs are worthless. As a tracker it’s pretty good. Not sure confident I am with the database though considering how much they get wrong in the rest of the app. Also I don’t see any real motivation for a paid subscription. That’s great but what’s the point?

Best app for macros. hands down the best app!

App does not work properly. This app since I paid for the subscription works like crap. For some reason my macros are in the negatives Why is this when I have not tracking anything yet. I just got out of bed.

Carb manager. Carb manager is so wonderful. It helps me track my daily carbs very well! I would have never known how many carbs are in certain foods without this app. It helps me maintain a balance !

Suggests I lose 2 lbs a month!!!. Crap crap crap! I would like to decide for myself how much weight I want to lose.

Great for keto thx. great

Best app ever. This app is so easy to use and for anyone doing keto I recommend it highly. I have you several, and this is the only one that I will pay for to have it for a full year.

Perfect App. I am glade to have installed this app that my brother recommended to me. It took some time to be familiar with but at the end all time invested to learn the app will be beneficial. Now when I eat something I just need to add it to my day to see what it contains. Before, it was difficult to check food ingredients and nutritional information. Too complicated to make calculations. Now you eat and you can see what is missing in you day: carbs, fat or protein. I am very happy with the app. I wish to have users increased to let the app not expensive.

Love the app…but!. I love this app! It has helped me keep track of my weight loss journey. One of my favourite features is “Connect.” This feature allows you to add friends and … well… stay connected. I especially love the option of coping foods and recipes from their pages. Since the last update I’ve been having problems with seeing my friends page. When I click the persons name to visit their profile I’m often met with a blank white screen with a spinning green wheel that implicates the page is loading. The page, however, never loads. I only hope the developers of this app are aware of the situation and are working towards resolving the problem. My mom pays for the subscription and is also having the same issue. This makes sharing foods and recipes really difficult in my household. Love the app, please fix the bug!

It has really help me loose weight. I installed the app about a year ago, because I was desperate with back pain and no sleep and weight gain . But I couldn’t keep up because I had kids who don’t just eat keto diet and family events. And! My husband was a head chef, and hard to pass up his cookings sometimes. Then I went a year and started just hating myself because of the weight gain, my back pain was unbearable, and sleep just never came. And even though I was working out, I just kept gaining instead of loosing. Then August 2020- sharni Nd Julius came out with a very inexpensive app, which I purchased, and it gave me the list of foods to eat, & exercise regime. I couldn’t follow, even when I stuck the food list on the fridge that THIS is what I want to eat more of! But this slowly slowly got me eating the foods and sticking the fridge with the foods that I need to eat keto. And seriously, to have a mom send me weekly emails to boost my ego and motivate me was amazing. And she had some great exercises that relieved my back pain. And slowly slowly, I was working out with fit buddy, but I went to a and water slide with my family, and I can’t fit in any bathing suit and I just want to have my pre-pregnant body back and fit into all my clothes. Something inside just snapped and I came back to this app. Easy to use, I can put in my diet plan the night before, copy, paste the next day, check to see if some food has more fat or carbohydrates or protein. Get this app if you are going to do keto. It is a game changer.

Carb manager. This app is helping me be very aware of how I am choosing to allocate my calories and what foods give me large carb loads. I really appreciate how easy it is to use and the variety of brands it gives options for. Who knew all cottage cheeses are not equal or that onions were a large amount of carbs lol? Day 2 and I am vey impressed with how mindful this is making me.

Scanned items. Need more variations (food from tnt dont scan)

Love This App. Worth every penny to keep me on track. With this tool at my fingertips, I was able to reach my goals .

Easy track to healthy life. Love this app for its quick and easy way to track everything for you on your journey to a healthy lifestyle. So many features to help you along the way, you can start by just tracking food and build on to that with exercise tracking etc. This app has personally helped me on my keto journey but can be for anyone it’s so easy to use with push reminders to track you can set for your typical eating times! Even if you are just curious about what nutrition is in the food you eat everyday. Such a useful tool. Would highly recommend!

More about. I would like to know more about how to use it

Amazing. I love that app the free version is good as is and help me a lot to manage , the scanner for time is so helpful went in grocery, all the app is amazing my favourite 5 stars for me absolu recommend

Good, but still not customizable enough.. I find this app very useful, and it’s a good tool for accountability. I wish it were more customizable. I’m an intermittent faster, and I would like to remove the “Breakfast” from my daily log and put “Coffee” in it’s place. Maybe the sections could sort by entered time? I would like to choose “Walking - exertion / moderate” and “Walking - exertion / difficult”, or something similar, but they don’t exist. Instead there are 100 walking categories. Can’t it be more simple. The app registers my steps, but not the type of walking. Also, I’m pescatarian. Can I filter the recipes so I don’t see red meat or poultry? And the list for my own recipes seems to always be shifting. I wish there was a “My common foods” page, like a restaurant menu, where I can easily just tap on the things I eat every day instead of searching for them. Maybe there is, but it’s not all that straight forward.

Great app but….. I’ve used this app off and on for a few years but decided to use it seriously now because I have weight loss goals I’m trying to achieve. Overall this is a great app but the only negative is related to food logging. When your logging a food and inputting the servings, there’s no way to split that serving size in half. For example, I wanted to log BBF Organic Super Seeds (note it’s already in the database). The serving size is accurate per the packaging but I wanted to only log half of the serving. I could not figure it out so I assumed that you couldn’t which was very frustrating. I feel this should be a basic and necessary feature. Thus my reasoning for four stars instead of five. I’m positive that I’m not the only person that have brought up this concern. I hope the developers hear me/us loud and clear!!! This need to be changed.

Great app, but could use some enhancements. I have tried several keto apps and Carb Manager is the best one. However, there are a couple issues with it that can be very frustrating. First - the search function is fair at best. Sometimes it works and sometimes the items it brings up are not even close to what is being searched for. If I want to add an avocado to my meal sometimes I can type ‘avo’ and the search brings up avocado with no problem. Other times I can type the entire word and still not get a single hit on avocado. Second - it’s great that members can add recipes but there is no control over the content, so all the member recipes and foods sometimes get in the way. I would like to have the ability to filter them out. For example, there are many recipes with no ingredients at all. These things just clutter up the search even more. I pay for this app, and I plan to stick with it. Maybe future updates fix some minor irritations.

Perfect App. I was hesitant about paying for the premium features but it went on sale and I went ahead and pulled the trigger, so glad I did. I was a long time My Fitness Pal user but then I started Keto and I was frustrated that it wouldn’t do Net Carbs, it just wasn’t in my opinion really the best app for Keto so I wanted another solution. Carb Manager is Taylor design for this diet and makes it so easy. I am so impressed with all the thought that has been put into this app. Every time I think I wish I could do something I find that the developers have incorporated it into the app. It is so user friendly to use, I love the interface. I absolutely love the meal planning features, such a time saver!!! Speaking of meal planning the recipe selection is off the chain. Bottom line if your doing Keto and you want a tool to make it easy for you to track and plan in my honest opinion you can do no better than Carb Manager!

Really good, needs a few tweaks. Overall the app is really good and has most foods already in it. For the ones it doesn’t, it is really easy to add! However, when adding food to a previous date the app will change the date back to current. Even with no other change of screen. Add food to breakfast two days ago, still in the add screen and try to add something to lunch the same day, but all of a sudden you are back on todays date. Have to exit out, change the date, and search again. Also, I understand why it is an internet supported app (have to have internet to work), but they really need to add an offline version where you can still add foods but not search their database. I’m active duty USN and when the ship is out to sea, I cannot use the app. I CAN log in and use it on the computer, however, the internet is not always available on a warship. If they can fix those two issues this would be an easy 5 star app!

I’m disappointed. I downloaded this app long ago and health issues kept me from using it. Now that I’m better I was excited to try it out. Before I downloaded it again I looked to make sure I could pay a monthly subscription fee. I honestly believe it is worth paying a yearly subscription fee but, I prefer to try it out before paying that price. After searching I could never find less than a yearly subscription in the app. Again, I’m not saying the app isn’t worth the yearly cost. I am saying if you want to charge subscription fees please do it honestly. You offer a monthly plan and making it impossible or even difficult to find isn’t good business. I would love to use this app but I won’t until you can offer it by being honest.

New version is dreadful. This app used to be so easy to use, but now...not so much. I wanted to give it some time before writing this review, to give myself a chance to get used to it, just in case I was only resistant to the changes solely because they were new, but not necessarily bad. Nope. They’re bad. I’m forced to re-enter my custom meals as recipes so that the various elements will show, rather than just the macro totals. All of my favorite foods have randomly changed their quantities, so when I enter foods into my log I’m now forced to reestablish the quantities I always use (example: I always use grams as my measurement, but now the app seems to have everything set to 1/4 cup). I’m in this app all day long, and am very dependent on it. I’m stuck trying to make this work because I’m a premium member and don’t want to waste my investment. But if you’re new to food tracking, you might want to look at MyFitnessPal. I chose CarbManager because it seemed less complicated to me, but that is definitely no longer the case.

App is great but doesn’t sync well with Fitbit. Support doesn’t respond.. I bought paid for a year membership to have Fitbit sync my steps. It synced for a day but then stopped, so I had to keep turning it on and off in settings to be able to start syncing again. A couple days ago it stopped syncing at all and said I had to turn Fitbit on through the carb manager website via desktop. I thought this was finally a fix - I went ahead and synced from their website and now it doesn’t work at all. I followed all the steps to sync my Fitbit to the carb manager app. my Fitbit website is perfectly synced with the Fitbit app but the CarbManager app or website doesn’t sync at all. Very frustrating... if they fix the syncing my rating goes back to 5 stars but it’s 3 for now as it’s not delivering as promised right now. Disappointed I paid for a feature that doesn’t work.

Best Diet App. I used MFP last year but found it frustrating at times. I told myself I would not upgrade to Premium on this app until I had used it for a few days in the free setting. After just one evening of checking out if the entry would be fast, if the app was easy to navigate, and if the resulting information offered was meaningful and easily understood, I purchased Premium for one year. I was that impressed! I have been using the app for three days and it has quickly given me the focus and drive to succeed on my health makeover plan. I used the scan feature on my bacon packaging and it found the barcode so quickly, like in the blink of an eye. So cool! I have ordered a Fitbit to sync with the app. All the features are easy to find in the menu. Entering foods on my daily log takes seconds, and that's what I must have. Quick and easy will keep me on track! It is a fabulous app!

Great for Keto. I’ve been using this app for almost a year now and I love it. If you can do the premium version, it’s well worth it. Makes meal planning and finding new keto-friendly foods and meals super easy. I find it easier to hold myself accountable if I have visuals and I love the circle graph on this platform. Makes it easy to keep yourself in check. I went for part of the year with the free version, which is awesome on its own, but I prefer the paid version. It helps me track all of my body measurements and food all in one convenient place and it syncs with apple health. Even if you’re not doing keto, this is a great app. I’ve used so many food trackers in the past (my fitness pal, weight watchers, lose it, etc) and this by far my favorite!!! Before paying for the premium service again, I tried out all of those apps again and even their premium versions don’t offer what this app has. Definitely worth it!!!

LOTS OF VALUE but some problems too. I really wanted to love this app. I do love the plethora of recipes. I purchased the premium for this reason. However, I don’t use it on a regular basis to record my stats simply because it’s so slow. I have used another app for years but it doesn’t cater to keto diet and quit including recipes, so I decided to try this one. My only real frustration with Carb Manager - and why I don’t use it for keeping records - is that it is soooooo slow! I can enter data 3 or 4 times more quickly in my other app, without having to wait and wait for page renewal. Also, with the old app I can add any ingredient I want without being asked for a brand. Maybe I just haven’t figured out how to use it, but if so, it’s a lot more complicated than it needs to be. I kept the subscription because I love the recipes. It’s like having a shelf full of cookbooks without using all that space or having to flip through a dozen books for what I want or for inspiration.

No subscription required. This is the best app I have found to track my keto macros that does not require a monthly subscription for basic use. I may subscribe in the future for a few months because the recipes look really good, but being new to this keto thing, the basic service is all I need. Can I just add that I love it, too, because it doesn’t “shame” me for food choices. Other calorie or macro counters that I’ve used shamed me on every bit of food I ate. If I ate a slice of bacon, it would add a little note about much fat was in it. Or if I had a salad, it would that I need to be careful because of all of the sodium in that meal! I felt like I couldn’t eat anything and that I couldn’t do anything right! It was awful! This app doesn’t do anything of the sort. It simply logs my foods and records the macros and puts it into an easy to read chart.

Good stuff. Third day using the app. I’m a 38 year old male. I had no clue how many calories and carbs were in the “healthy” food I’d been eating. The app has helped me understand the various properties of the food I eat and through the factual information, has provided me with much more freedom than I’d been used to. Using the app, I’ve come to find out I had been maintaining a diet of roughly 3,200 calories. Now, I am set up with an 1,800 calorie per day diet and so far I feel great! Much less hungry and more fulfilled. This is how I see it… if you put a bunch of kids in a park surrounded on all 4 sides by busy highways the children will keep clear of the edges and congregate in the middle. Put up a fence around that same park and the kids will have confidence venturing out to the edges because of the boundaries. This app helps establish my boundaries which provides me confidence in my food choices. I love it!

One more chance. I thought I would give this one more chance but now I’m sorry I wasted the money. Again. It is VERY untrustworthy. In some restaurants it shows mashes potatoes and French fries as 0 carbs. In fact, under Saltgrass Steakhouse it shows every single item as zero carbs. If you can’t put the correct info in, don’t put anything at all, then at least people know to look up the info somewhere else. Also if you put something together as a meal, you can never find it to add to a meal or snack. Only if you make it a recipe. Again, if accessing a “meal” you have created is impossible, don’t offer that option. In addition, the macro content seems to be adjustable by using the sliders underneath each macro when you’re setting it up. I don’t want 5 carbs, 20 carbs or 55 carbs which are my only options, I want 30 carbs. Which is perfect for me to lose weight and feel great. So I have to “wing it”. In other words, it’s not customizable at all. Once more, if those sliders are not available, don’t offer them as an option. I was hoping that this app had improved sine even the last time I tried to use it, but clearly it hasn’t.

The keystone to weight loss success…. Tracking my food intake and macro nutrients was the key to successful weight loss. I’ve struggled for years with fluctuations in my weight. I always vested everything into gym and exercise and neglected nutrition. Using this app has made tracking what I eat so easy, and since January of 2022 until now, which is June 2023, I have lost around 115 pounds and am still on point. I have a 4 pack instead of a keg, and I am melting the fat a little more every day. Use this app, the database is amazing and it’s very simple to add your own recipes and food that isn’t already stored on their servers. The other great part is that you can change the macro ratio to whatever you want; it’s not exclusive to keto. You can customize macros or use a preset ratio. Eat right, keep track, and walk. If you do that, you’ll lose weight. Good luck everyone. If you’re here, you are taking the first steps to success.

Extremely inaccurate. It’s easy to fall in love with this app at first. It’s easier to give them a five star rating with the automatic pop up “rate me” only minutes after downloading and believing it to be “the app that gets me away from MyFitnessPal and the old calorie counting”. And how cool is it that it makes meal plans for you? Yup that was me. However, this app is highly inaccurate. I was fooled by the 4.5 star rating, but it only makes sense. The way it’s set up makes it challenging to accurately rate it. And try to find the button to rate them after the fact. Good luck! I finally found it, obviously (marked “show us love” under settings). I went on google and found exactly what I thought. A lot of people complain of the accuracy. Not only are the recipes extremely inaccurate , so are the items scanned. I did a test and out of 15 items scanned, only two were completely accurate. I did not have this problem with fitness pal. Such a bummer. This app could really be the new best thing, but you can’t lose trust in your customers.

I LOVE IT BUT...... This is a great app. I would never use it to calculate your macros as their calculations are always way off, but once you put in your custom macros it’s a fantastic app to track your food. Frankly I couldn’t do keto without this app!! Having said that I wish I could copy entire meals to multiple days at a time. Right now it’s very easy to copy an entire meal or an entire day to another day, but if you have the same meal (for example breakfast every day) it’s impossible to copy it to multiple days at a time. Secondly, I paid for premium and as soon as the first “month “ was over, it went back to regular. Trying to reach someone in customer service is impossible because it’s basically some sort of robot that responds. The response is the same regardless of what question you ask. While it was easy enough to get a refund from Apple before I re-purchased the premium, I hope it doesn’t keep happening.

Sloooooow. So slow and crashes/restarts. Paid for it and wish I could get my money back. Not easy to use in many many ways. When you do a preplanned meal plan you have no way of swapping out a meal for another suggestion. Only option is to create your own which takes forever! And even then you can only add foods to it that you already have saved. So you have to go back to the main recipes and pick all the ones to add to your saved area then go back into the meal planner and add them from there, doesn't make sense. I should be able to add the meals to my meal plan right then and there while I’m looking at recipes in any area. Don’t even get me started on the shopping list feature 🤦🏻‍♀️. Trying to delete or just check off an item you just grabbed from the shelf at the store takes way too much time and lags so bad. I used this app years ago and it was never like this, I loved it then and it helped me to lose 15lbs before getting pregnant. Not worth the hassle now by far!

Too slow, but otherwise, seems to have all the features I’m looking for.. Been trying to find an alternative to MyFitness Pal after using it for seven years. As a diabetic, MFP has gotten way too expensive for the features it has, has moved common features to premium only, and has no means of tracking glucose, etc. Though, MFP is soooo much faster and more responsive than Carb Manager! I have been enjoying the features of Carb Manager so far, and am seriously considering subscribing to premium! However, my biggest complaint, and it is a major one, is the slowness of entering food items. It takes FOREVER to find an item and enter it. Tracking takes enough time as it is, please work on making the app faster and more responsive. It is quite frustrating. Also, please consider adding connection to continuous glucose monitors… even if it is only with premium. Thanks!

Great app, but not perfect.. This is by far the best food tracking app I’ve ever used and the yearly subscription is worth every penny. This app makes finding what you need practically effortless. The data base is massive, plus if you are having trouble finding a listing, you can scan the product’s barcode—including many supplements! You can also add your own favorite recipes as well as finding new recipes in the database. I have been using it for the past month and continue to discover more and more features. There are numerous ways to customize the app to fit your needs. The only cons I’ve found are that sometimes the calculations do not match the product labels. There also have been a few instances where the data pulled up and entered did not match what was actually logged. Another tweak I hope they make is to have more metric options because food scales don’t use fractions.

This app changed my life. I use very few apps. I don’t write reviews. But since this app has helped me so much, I must give credit where credit is due. ‘Getting Started’ allowed me to set up daily goals within a ketogenic program. The Keto diet often feels confusing and counter-intuitive but this app guides you through it, every day. It has been fascinating to learn all the time, about the true carb content of various foods. The Find Food section is just incredible. It has actually been FUN, dieting and using this app. I’ve been using the app for about 6 weeks now, and it is absolutely responsible for allowing me to lose 15 pounds. I did not think it was possible - I’m over 60 and injured so exercise these past months has not been possible. Seriously, if you allow this app to guide you and you are committed, you WILL lose weight. I just can’t recommend it enough.

Good- downgraded due to recent issues. “Lightening fast” it is not- when it decides it won’t connect through a wifi that has been working with it & many other apps all day. So I go to the app store and see it has an update- hmm, that downloads fine but I “couldn’t connect” all afternoon?? I truly hate when developers force upgrades to continue access. BUT no required update was mentioned in-app?? Also I did not realize I had to have a connection to enter or EVEN REVIEW my foods- super inconvenient!!! That meant I had to resort to writing everything down on paper all afternoon! I don’t mind limited access to the food db, but we should be able to access favorites and our previous logs without an internet connection. Also, there are still a few weird interface issues, like clunky access to created recipes. Otherwise I still love the net carb, glucose & ketone level tracking.

Kick off after months of data inputting. I really thought this was going to work, so I trusted it with my data & my recipes. I started an account, but chose not to go with the premium account. I was somehow logged out & was getting a message that my e-mail did not exist in their system. I sent a message for help & after a day was given a chance to get back into my account. Later that same day, the same thing happened, only this time my account was blank (like a brand new account with no info). I did delete that account, but now they are telling me that both accounts deleted. Other people have told me that they have been logged out of their account for no reason, but eventually got back in. You can take a chance on it, but you may lose all your progress. I read the reviews on the premium package & noticed that people have problems on it also. I worked for months on this app to lose weight & now it’s ALL gone. My advise is to fine a better app. Read all the reviews before you trust it with your life’s mission of weight loss.

Great app. I found this app a few months back and it’s actually been super useful and I love it. I personally find it quite easy to use and it’s great that it saves and tracks all the food that I put in so I don’t have to keep scanning the same things over and over again that I eat on a daily basis. I will say I do struggle to load this app quite often. I know it’s not my phone because I don’t have this issue with any other app but for whatever reason maybe I can barely ever get it open unless I’m connected to Wi-Fi and even then it sometimes takes forever to load which means I sometimes have to hopefully remember to enter things later on in the day when it decides to open. I’d love to give it 5 stars but when I’m rushing and trying to put things in quite quickly before I leave the house or am out and about it can be annoying and inconvenient and completely defeats its purpose. It definitely needs a few updates and adjustments but I would still highly recommended.

Amazing Tracking App!!!. This is by far the BEST food tracking app I have ever used. If you follow the Keto way of life like I do, this is awesome. Over the years I’ve used MANY weight loss apps. Some from BIG corporations with their own programs to ones that were just an app company. This app is so well created, developed, user friendly, and robust that I have ever used. You know when you use an app and you think’ “I wish it did...”? Well, every time I think that with this app...IT DOES IT!!! I actually found this app because of a recipe search I did which led me to buy it for the recipe. Even the recipes are amazing!!! They are simple, perfect for Keto, and just “normal” foods that most of us I already. This app really helped me to kick off my Keto journey!!! Thank you!!! I guess when suggestion...my niece is follow Keto as well. I’d love to give her the gift of this app. Maybe that’s possible but I have not found out how yet.

The updated version is not as good as the old one. I used this app for about half year and love the clear and simple user interface of it. After it has been updated last month, things changed. First the daily log list goes much longer than before. I have to scroll up and down several times to check how the food I logged in effects my total nutrition intake, while on the old version, almost all food display in one page and I can have all the information with one glimpse. Second, which I found this morning and the reason I gave one star ranking is that the app does not show the percentage of calories each nutrient(carb, protein and fat) contributes on the macros wheel that on the top of daily log. You need to scroll all the way down to the bottom and click the in-depth detail to see the percentages. As I am on a strict keto diet and need to have the right calorie percentage of macros of every meal, this makes me very inconvenient to plan my meal. These changes almost double the time for me to plan and login my intake everyday. I hope the developer can bring the old version back as an option, otherwise I will go for other apps.

Works. It helped me loose 50 lbs in a year. Took a month off, working on my next fifty now. It is critical that you log everything BEFORE you eat it! I tried the free version for about three days then paid for a year, it was totally worth it for the recipes, and to have it pull in data from my second Fitbit. My lessons: I do much better when I log water, don’t ignore that. Short morning walk make a huge difference. I drink an Ultima every day, use more salt, and added a cheap multivitamin, C, and D for days I don’t get good balance. I know I would’ve gotten better results if I do exercise more but I’m just lazy. I have a cheat day once a month where I eat everything I want and a cheat meal once a week where I don’t get too crazy. I did it with my wife and we joined a couple keto groups on Facebook for more crazy recipes. Good luck!

Search Functionality Is Subpar. The net carb functionality, nutritional breakdowns, and calorie counting functions of this app are just what you’d expect. As advertised. But finding the items to place into your meals is annoyingly difficult. Every time you attempt to add an entry, it requires internet. Then after finding the item you wish to add through their giant database, you have to search for it likes it’s the first time every time. You can’t search recently used for frequently used items. You can’t sort using recent. When you enter the search function before typing, it brings up recent items. But you have to scroll through them all to find the one item you used weeks ago. Why isn’t there better search functionality? And after adding it once, why can’t we add that item again without the internet? If MyFitnessPall has a Net Carbs function, I would have kept using it instead of this. Carb Manager has a lot of improvements to make to improve my ratings. Securely a mediocre app.

Lots of bugs and not user friendly. There’s a decent amount of good reviews for this app so I decided to pay for a year of premium despite there being no free trial days. That was a big mistake on my part. This app is not user friendly and takes quite a while to figure out how to properly navigate. The feature that allows you to create a meal plan constantly bugs out before I hit save. I started a meal plan on a day just to test it out and see how it works. Then I updated the meal plan and hit start again. It ended up adding to the previous meal plan instead of updating it. I tried looking for ways to cancel the previous plan or delete meals individually but couldn’t figure it out. The shopping list feature also has bugs. I had a snack listed for my meal plans but later deleted the snacks and hit save. It still gets listed on the shopping list so I went back to check my meal plan and it’s not even listed on there anymore. I don’t recommend paying for premium. I definitely won’t be using it anymore and am waiting to hear back about a refund.

Love it but...I have one issue. Just started using this app yesterday and it’s incredibly easy to use. You literally can just jump right in and start logging after filling out a few things. My only issue is that yesterday, which was my first day using the app, it would not allow me to finish logging my dinner. I had one more item to add for the day. Every single time I tried to log my grilled vegetables, the app would prompt me to upgrade to premium. There was no way around it other than to not log the veggies. Today the app Is allowing me to log as I start a new day. No where in the information do I see a maximum amount of items that you are allowed to log before having to upgrade. While I do not mind paying for an app like this, I always like to try them for at least a month to make sure I really like it. Open to suggestions...

Really helps control the carbs!. I was struggling with weight loss even though my husband had provided me with a one month Keto diet plan designed to specifically fit me. I was following the directions for the meal plan just as it was provided to me and I was losing very slowly bouncing up and down, a pound down then up, a little here, a little there. My son, who had been on the Keto Diet for over a year told me about the Carb Manager program he had loaded on his his phone and how much it had helped him. So, I downloaded Carb Manager and I could actually see what I was eating on the diet plan my husband had ordered for me. I began to make adjustments, cutting out things here and there, like onions, I never knew they had so many carbs. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this program and how much it has been helping me. Thank you.

Night Shifter Woes. Up until today I would’ve given this 5 stars. Now I have to drop down because for a few weeks I was able to start “Tomorrow”’s - or any day- food list. Now it wants me to pay for Premium to do what I’ve already been doing for a month. As a 7 pm- 7 am worker at a hospital this capability has been important in starting and keeping to a healthier lifestyle as sometimes I work 3 shifts in a row, have one day off, and work 3 more shifts. It allowed my sleep deprived self to just look at my meals and pack lunch/dinner accordingly. No longer an option. I feel that allowing me to do the lists and then taking that option away unless I pay for it - and I found no mention of “trialing” the planning- is a little underhanded. Up until this I loved this app and it’s ease of use, easy interpretations, and for the planning! As a night shifter (not everyone has day jobs!) I find yet again, that developers forget not everyone runs on a daytime schedule.

App does literally everything. As an absolute NEW COMER to anything diet related .. I found this app literally guiding my decisions. Before I shove anything (food) in my mouth - I punch said food in the app- and find out how many carbs/ fat/ protein etc. I lost 30 lbs - literally by doing this. Could not be simpler. Do a little research - Decide what macros you want to use- For is we went Keto- which is a percentage of net carbs/ protein / fat- pick your macros from drop down menu- enter your weight - Click enter and you’re off and running. Input what you eat- and this app does the math and tells how many Net Carbs remaining for the day- Calories, protein , fat etc. stick to that and you will lose weight. It’s that simple. You can track your steps, exercise , and weight. Can’t think of a healthy yet delicious meal? It’s got that too. Try it out- If I can lose 30 lbs with no additional work out besides working - You can too.

Great app for tracking, terrible for searching their own recipes.. My wife and I got this app and use it together for ALL of our meals. It works great IF you are NOT sharing someone else’s meal plan. She loaded a whole weeks worth of recipes based off of CarbManagers meal plans and it is frustrating, if not down right impossible, for me to find the same recipes that she is able to enter. I’ve even used the web search with their recipe title and still no results. Ham and extra sharp white cheddar omelette should be pretty easy to find, or so you’d think. So......I get to search and search and search and search until MAYBE the app will recognize what recipes it allows her to make for us. Ugh!!! Being able to “share” recipes with friends on the app with ALL nutritional value and fixing the search for their own recipes would make me give this 5 stars, but the time I waste searching for a meal they design is a waste, hence the 3 stars.

Needs some improvements to be great.. I’ll start by saying that I use this app regularly and I love it. I love the “keto grade”, the ever-growing database of branded/user contributions. It’s fairly easy to spend up and really helps me plan and stick with my keto diet. But I want to bring up two issues that might be good candidates for further production: when the app accounts for my exercise, it raises the calorie limit according to calories burned, but does not adjust the macro limits. The net result is though I am within my calorie limits, it appears I am way over on my macros. That can be confusing. Another wish list item is an improvement to the recipe import via URL. I should preface this by saying this app parses out recipe information from a webpage surprisingly well. I do wish that it would allow me to edit the ingredients and save it into my own recipes. It seems to allow you to do that, but I lose it every time I hit save. I end up having to re-create the recipe with my edits.

Highly recommended if you are on keto!. I started my keto lifestyle in October 2021 and didn’t think I needed an app. I was wrong. I started using the free app in December and in January 2022, when the pay-version was on sale, I purchased. They advertised how the app accelerates the weight loss and it is true! Prior to using the app, I would think oh this or that is low carb. It wasn’t. Nine months later, I have shed those pandemic pounds and achieved my weight loss and lifestyle goal. I have dropped 3 clothing sizes. For exercise, I walk around 3 miles a day, but I do stay active. I found as the pounds dropped, I gained energy. Instead of sitting on the couch in front of the tv, I would be being active outdoors. With each pound lost, I encouraged to stick with it, which is the best advice I would give anyone on keto: stick with it!

Very good but to be awesome..... I love the app. It has helped me to stay on track on my Keto limits. The only thing that would make me absolutely love it would be to be able to see recommendations of what else I can eat on the remaining carbs, proteins or fat for the day. For example, I have 4 net carbs left and I want to see like a list of foods I can eat with 4 carbs or less or may be type in 4 g net carbs and I will be able to see a list of the foods with those carbs with the amounts. Also, on the meal planner it does not exclude the foods I don’t want on the recipes and the foods I want. For instance, I’m not eating carrots or potatoes and when I saw the recipes they had them even though I excluded them. I also want to be able to find recipes with only the foods I want on my meal. Or may be a way to create meals with only a certain amount of net carbs, fat, protein and calories with the foods I specify. This last option would be neat and make the app BEYOND AWESOME!!!

Best for Keto. I downloaded a few apps when I started Keto to see what the best one would be. I had been using MFP for years but if you’re doing Keto this is a much better option so you can see your macros right in your home page. My only complaint is that the food database is not as complete as MFP, and I have encountered a few errors on some food entries. These are things that hopefully will improve with time. You just have to double check a few things to make sure your numbers don’t get thrown off. I would also like it if there was an easier way to add friends that you know have the app. And I’d like to be able to share recipes that I’ve entered so that friends who are eatting the meal I’ve made can easily add an entry without typing the whole recipe in themselves. But for a free version this really is the best app I’ve found for Keto.

Upgraded app is not as awesome as the original. When I first bought this app I felt like it was worth every penny I spent for the full features...but since the upgrade you have to weigh every bit of food you want to record...that is not how I cook I measure with cups now it won’t let you measure that way...I am not going to rewrite every recipe I get to try to figure out what the weight is...now it is useless to me...skip this app unless you want to add the extra step of weighing all your food then converting it back to cups for recipes you make!!! Ok after working with the new app again I see the problem...in the old app you could set the serving size to what you were actually eating in the new app I cant do that ...even after support told me where to locate the “setting” it doesn’t work...PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD VERSION IT WAS AWESOME THIS IS NOT!!!

Nice app, one flaw?. I really like the format of this app and it has really helped me to start making sense of macros while on Keto diet. Before this app, I had no idea what percent of my diet was fat or protein. There is just one flaw that I question, and maybe I have not found a setting that exists to fix it, or maybe it’s a premium feature. My carb count always shows way over my limit and it’s because the app is not deducting fiber from my carbs. I eat one Mission Carb Balance wrap per day because it gives me 15g of fiber and only 3 net carbs (the spinach variety), but the app recognizes this as a full 18g carb, so I am always in the red, over my limit of staying under 20g (net carb) per day. If not for this the app would be perfect, well done! I appreciate using it. Despite this I highly recommend this app, you just need to deduct your fiber from your total carbs yourself and ignore the red.

amazing!. the design is pretty basic - a little plain, kinda reminds me of windows 95 haha but overall it does what I need it to and i find that I use it daily bc its not overly complicated. Only thing I would love is to add a fasting log AND to be able to add multiple items at once, like my my fitness pal - the whole “normally logged with” type of feature. Again, aesthetically it needs some work but don’t let that deter you. You are able to do and achieve a lot for free, which is great. They even grade foods as “keto friendly” which is awesome. The carb count can be done either via net or total. The carb count is right in your face, in the largest format so there is always that reminder of where you are in terms of carbs for the day. I have used others and they are either too complicated or charge a fee. Download this now, you won’t regret it.

Update after latest update. Love that you brought back the graphs even renewed my premium subscription. However, now after this recent update after entering my food eaten the graph is blank nothing shows up. It did come back hours later but it still will be blank every time I enter my food for longer than I would like. The graphs are so helpful. Please look into this problem and you will receive 5 stars Thanks. My subscription will be up in May and I had planned on a renewal but this new update just makes it confusing. I lost all my food that had been entered over the last year. It was so much easier to just look at the graph before and see where I was for the whole day but now it’s hard to figure out what’s what after the update. I was really bothered that I lost all my food scanned for almost a year. Not cool. If it’s not broke.....

Good app! Can customize goals!. This is a good app and one that I have used consistently for years. It takes some persistence but you can go into settings and manually change exactly how many grams of carbs, fats, and protein you want a day. Which is so nice because most of the time all apps are focused on only calories. The big “BUT”: No way to waltz around it, the ads are ANNOYING! I only use the free version because it provides everything I need, but ever single time I open it there is an ad. When you try to hit the tiny cancel button it takes you to a different sight. We are all busy people and it’s frustrating to have to deal with when I’m just trying to log my water intake you know? So developers- I understand ads are necessary, but can you please make them banner ads? Or in the corner? The pop up ones that you always click by mistake drive me nuts. Thank you for developing a user friendly app, and continuing to improve it over time.

Clunky update. As a Type II diabetic I like using Carb Manager as it’s helped me focus on my carb intake. I liked it so much that I switched from using My Fitness Pal, and even paid for a premium subscription. Now, with this so-called update, I’m about to switch back to MFP, since CM has become so annoying to use. There many things that I don’t like about the update, but I’ll start with the main ones :1) slow and faulty load - every time I launch the app, it grinds away trying to open until I get the message to try again! As soon as I tap that message, it launches almost immediately. This is not an internet or WiFi problem, it’s solely a glitch in the app. 2) you must manually scroll back up to the top of the page, as there’s no function to just tap on the top margin to have it automatically jump to the top. Very annoying and time consuming. 3) having to do a fresh search for items I’ve logged in many times, again, slow, cumbersome and time consuming! That’s just a start. Hope these issues get fixed soon, or I’m gone!

The best app I’ve ever used!. I love this app. I started keto a few months ago and didn’t know how to keep track of everything I was eating and how much I was consuming but thanks to this app that is no longer a concern for me. It is very customizable and easy to use. It breaks down all your macronutrients so you can understand how much you are really consuming and what your putting into your body. It also allows for you to input your own recipes and then it breaks it down into carbs, fats, protein, sugar and calorie amount so you can better portion it all out. This app made keto possible for me. Without it I would be completely lost. I am considering going premium even though the free version is more than adequate. That’s how much I love this app! Download it and put it to use, let it help you reach your goals. A some job to the developers of this app, you’re changing lives!

Love the updated up but room for improvement. Love the new look and animations. A huge improvement. I tried using MyFitnessPal for a while, but find Carb Manager just works for me better so I'm back and happy about it. Two pet peeves though are that so many people forget to include the sugar alcohols so net carbs for so many foods are incorrect. That's very frustrating. Something that should have 0 net carbs shows having 8 and that can throw off my entire day. How long does it take for products to get adjusted on the app? On the old app users could select an adjusted entry with the corrected nutritional values but I see that option is now gone sadly. Also two things I love on MyFitnessPal which I'd love to see adopted here would be the ability to swipe and add a meal from the food diary the day before. As well, I'd love a "copy from" the day before, instead of "copy to". That'd be much more convenient.

I will be deleting this app.. ok, I caved. Truth is, I’m still pretty annoyed with Apple for violating our health privacy by sharing our medical data with third parties. Extortion is not really freedom. But I decided that carb manager is not the windmill at which I’m going to tilt over this issue. I love this little app. It’s awesome. It helps me. And with its help I’ll drop my covid weight and become a lean fighting machine, fit to tell Apple to bite me. 🤦‍♀️ ********* APPLE is now holding our family photos hostage unless we agree or else “ you must agree” to their new icloud terms of service. For those of us loyal to Apple, with family plans and multiple devices, this “choice” is not a real choice. (For the record , changing a product after a consumer has purchased it, is not a done thing. It’s dishonest.) So now Apple has decided to join a dark totalitarian future…

The best carb manager/ low carb app EVER. Hello, I am a diabetic and have to monitor my carbs daily . I have looked for something that will help me monitor my diet, exercise and give me food choice options, recipes and education. THIS APP DOES ALL THAT and MORE🥰. Thankyou to the creators! When I want a recipe that has low sugar and carbs , you always have an option for me no matter what meal it is!!!! I really appreciate this!! I am trying to not use insulin or conventional medicine for management of this illness and this has really helped. I am still working on my HGB A1C because I cheat every now and then, but you help me to keep track of that too. I did not mention that I also have hypertension and hypothyroidism. These comorbidities prevent me from enjoying most foods and losing weight, but I think this has helped. I love the challenges and the community support. Again, thank you!!!! For anyone looking for a great app, this is it!!!

perfect if you are eating in a calorie deficit!. this app is amazing if you are eating in a calorie deficit. you can customize the amount of calories you can eat in a day and divide it between carbs/protein/fat. i love how it adjusts my macros from the data from my apple watch as it allows me to eat more calories if i burn a bunch of calories in a workout. 4 stars because there are a couple cons.. 1. the measurements and calorie levels can get a little wonky depending on the item 2. all meals (excluding snack) have the same amount of calories that you can eat. I eat a lot less calories for breakfast and lunch than i do dinner and i wish i could customize it so i can allot more calories for dinner and less for breakfast and lunch because saying i have 200 calories left for breakfast and lunch and then i'm 'over' my calorie limit for dinner even though i haven't eaten my entire calorie allowance for the day gets annoying. if that could be fixed though 5 stars!!

Fantastic, helpful app!. Everyone I know who has been uber-successful in losing weight writes down their food intake each day. That just wasn’t me. But this app changed everything for me. It makes it so easy to log exactly what you ate in the exact portion and gives you the exact nutritional count with graphs so can visually see everything in multiple ways. I can’t say enough about Carb Manager. I look forward to laying in bed each night and logging everything because it does all the difficult calculating for me. But it doesn’t stop there. Add your exercises, water, ketones, blood sugar, weight, on and on. I knew within just a few days using it that this was going to help my carb and weight journey so I paid for the upgrade. Well worth it. I only write reviews when something is very bad or very good. This app is beyond very good.
