Unfortunate requirement to create login. The good news is the measurement technique appears to work great. The bad news is you can only use the app once before being prompted to give your facebook account or email address to create a login. This day and age, I'm simply not willing to give everyone and their dog my email address or access to my facebook profile just to use their app, it indicates that my personal data collected on this app is probably being stored online and potentially available to the developers. I don't care what their privacy policy says, it's only a matter of time before an unscrupulous app developer following this model lies and sells that data to advertisers to start selling me heart medication or health products. I would much prefer a standalone, offline only app that only saved data locally. EDIT: it is now possible to use the app without signing in! Thank you Azumio. More stars for you.

Afib. I use it to check my heart. Awhile back I kept getting inaccurate readings on this,so I had my kids and wife test there’s. They were fine. When I went to Dr. They did an ekg on me. I was showing BPM was all over the place. They put me on medicine for 4 years. After awhile the medicine was not working. I was building up an immunity to the meds. They did an ablation on me. No more medicine and my heart was in regular beats. I will have to go back in for another ablation again. It’s been 10 years now. From time to time. I can my heart flutter when I get stressed out. So now I’m back to using this app. to check my heart rate. This is a great app. to use. It’s 100% accurate. Michael

Saved my life. I’m twelve years old and I have the flu. I was browsing the web for sicknesses with my flu like symptoms. I found a lot of stuff on this deadly disease that matched almost all of my symptoms. One thing on there that I didn’t know if I had was high beats per minute for your heart rate. I got kind of freaked out and searched the App Store for a heart rate app. I found this and read a few reviews and then downloaded it. After testing, it said my bpm was 127, when I was just laying in bed. I ended up calling the doctor and they gave me a medication and told me what I should do. After monitoring my heart rate for a couple hours, it started to go down, and I was already feeling better.

Mr. RTH. This app caught my irregular heartbeat several times before my heart attack. I knew something was going wrong. All the arteries leading into ( 3) leading into and 3 leading out of my heart. Works very well and matched my blood pressure machine within 2 beats. Make sure you use light pressure with your finger. At first I could not get a reading because I was using too much pressure . I've had this app for some time now . Since I have a bad heart, I use it all the time. This is one of my most important app's. I am not sure why this app is asking me to submit a second review? My review would be the same as above. I have a bad heart so I find this app very handy indeed since I almost always carry my phone with me. Plus it reminds me to check my heart rate! This is a great app! Very cool indeed! Note: In Aug 2019 this App was showing that I was having a uneven heart beat. The medical doctors told me that my heart was doing fine. Aug 15 I had a major heart attack. Thank God I survived .. My heart surgeon told me that I had survived many heart attacks in the past and no one caught it.

SCAM FALSE free pretenses. I downloaded to compare with my friend’s Samsung app. It said it was free. It LIED! When the app installs itself it gets you to login with a new acct or Facebook. So far “OK”. Then it says (with no ability to opt out) to do unlimited use for 7 days and the pay $9.99/mo OR get 5 free uses and then and the they’ll start billing you. Since there’s no Opt Out option (and I’m supposed to be able to “cancel at anytime” by updating settings). So I do the 5 free option and immediately go to settings WHICH SHOWS NO OPTION TO CANCEL OR CHANGE SETTINGS!! I go to tech support in Support and search for “cancel subscription” and it says I have to go through Apple Pay to cancel/manage my subscription with them. Soooo I go there and they’re not in there -at least not yet. I’m assuming they’re going to try and bill me FIRST and then cancel so they can keep $9.99. WHAT A SCAM!!! I will set a reminder for 7days from now to cancel/complain to Apple. Parasites...

DECEIVING!!!. Are usually read all of the “ fine print” prior to purchasing an app. Maybe I missed it on this one… But purchasing the non-premium/free app is an absolute waste of time! You are suckered in and convinced that you will be able to learn, record, and track your Heart Rate for free. And if you want many added features, you would need to purchase the premium version. As I open the app for the first time, I realize it takes a little bit of practice to record my heart rate accurately. So I practice it a few more times. The next day, I open up the app to take a look at it and try to record it right before exercising, and I find that it will not work anymore. Silly me, I assume that I am using the app incorrectly. I try to figure it out for about 15 minutes and still fail at it. Later that day I look at it again for about 20 more minutes, and still can’t figure it out. The next day I opened it one more time to try to figure it out, 15 minutes later I finally realize in small print it says you may only check your heart rate 5 or 6 times. So long story short, you can basically use this app for one day for free then it is completely USELESS! I wasted a lot of time, Energy, and allowed myself to become frustrated for two days straight. I was totally suckered. :-/

Does exactly what it says, and for an unbeatable price!. I use this app all the time and have been using it for going on 4 years. I like to monitor my pulse in different mental states and under the influence of different substances. I know, I’m odd. Without upgrading it takes fairly accurate readings, you can create custom tags to apply to your readings, add notes to your individual readings for more specificity, and it saves the actual chart from every reading. My only complaints are minor to the point of almost being negligible. For the chart there seems to be some accelerometer involvement instead of being purely based on the cameras readings, and the result it gives you after the 15 second reading is your final pulse at the end of the test and not an average of the 15 seconds. Anyone who is curious about how different variables alter your physiological state and want an easy way to test, notate, categorize, chart, and compare, then this is the app for you. Did I mention that it does all of this for free? Yea, that’s a pretty big deal for all of this functionality.

Super Accurate and So Convenient. I’ve had tachycardia for years and have always had to measure my heart rate multiple times a day every day as a result. I was skeptical about an app that promised to take my heart rate via my phone camera, but after using it for a few months while testing it against my manual count I found that it’s always accurate. I’ve been using the app for years now, and every once and a while I’ll do a “spot check” and take my pulse manually again just to verify, and it’s seriously always accurate. It saves me so much time and effort every single day.

My Cardiologist..... I saw my cardiologist today, and I told him about this app on my cell phone – my iPhone, and he was really enthusiastic and excited about it. I have had times when I have needed to know what my heart rate was, and I just couldn’t do it the typical away. Well, I got this, and I can take my heart rate whenever I want or need to. It’s easy to use, and I think it’s pretty accurate. It’s one of the best apps I have ever gotten because it really helps me. I get tachycardia, and he has asked me what my heart rate was when I got it, and I never could give an answer. Well now I can, but I sure hope I don’t get tachycardia anymore. I feel like I’m taking better care of myself. I think it’s just great! And it was free! I may upgrade soon. Thanks for creating this app! Blessings! 😊

I love this app!. I have trouble with my heart racing and this app has certainly been all but amazing! It gives the rhythm of your heart, which helps me see the skips and inaccuracies of my heart during those periods of race. Exactly what I needed. It even stores all the data with dates and any input you put in. I actually tried two other similar apps, but they didn’t make the grade. It asks if I want to do upgrades but I just ignore it. Just amazing to have. It’s a peace of mind at times but then on other days it’s a call to action to get to the dr. But I love it and so glad I found. Have told so many about it.

Life Saver !. I have used this app for 3 or 3 years now, mostly just because I have anxiety and see that I had a normal heart rate would ease my nerves if I got a palpitation. Then, about a year ago I started taking some new supplements that we’re supposed to help me with the symptoms of fibromyalgia, well the combination of two of the supplements made my heart race, but I didn’t even realize it was happening until I tested my heart rate with this app and it was over 100.... and that was confirmed at my docs office .... it went right down as soon as I stopped taking the supplements. Just knowing I have this app handy helps me so much.

Great App. I have used this app prior on an older iPhone. Back about a year ago I didn’t care for it because it wasn’t as accurate. Now since I think the Developer did some tweaking and fixed it I have no complaints. I have actually used it along with a true 3 lead heart monitor and it is maybe one or two BPM off but that’s a huge improvement from the older versions. I recommend holding you index finger sideways pointing to the right side of your phone with the camera. For some reason you get a more accurate reading that way. Just a suggestion! I recommend this app to anyone who like me has heart issues. I suffer from sinus tachycardia and this is pretty much the best app. Also you get the free stress test as well as participation in the Heart Disease Study when you sign up. Anything I can do to help scientist and doctors treat heart issues and save lives I’m happy to review this app. I don’t review a lot of my apps but this one is deserving!

Great App!. I am a 38 yo female with Sarcoidosis. I also have a vascular defect in my heart. One of my coronary arteries is basically nonfunctional because it didn’t grow with my heart as I got bigger. I have runs of SVT and LOTS of palpitations/PVCs. So I have to take a beta blocker twice a day to keep myself from going into SVT and subsequent VT or VFib. Rapid ventricular or even supraventricular arrhythmias tend to eventually deteriorate into lethal ones because our hearts aren’t supposed to beat at those rates for very long. While this app doesn’t give you an EKG reading, it does accurately measure your pulse rate and you can see when there are irregularities. For instance, when I have palpitations, it is seen as a dip or a pause on the screen. It just confirms the irregularities. I am a registered nurse so that’s how I know what is going on with my heart, but this is definitely useful for anyone who needs to monitor their pulse for whatever reason. The best part is that it’s completely FREE! You can pay for other features if you want them, but I am very appreciative of this free service that helps me to monitor my condition. Thank you!

Operations blocked by “offer” to upgrade to premium. This app seemed to be reasonable and useful for awhile but in less time than a month, it has now become useless because I cannot even measure my heart rate anymore. The app prompts me to measure my heart rate, which is good, but when I click on the prompt to take the measurement, I am only brought to a set of screens that prompt me to upgrade. I say “a set of screens“ because the first screen will have a little X to escape from it, but when I hit the X, there is no escape. Instead, I am brought to another screen that offers me a full upgrade. When I hit the X on that one, I’m back at that first screen. Not interested in saying yes to this circular trap, I am now finding this app was a waste of my time investment initially. This is not the rating & review I wanted to leave for this app, so I am disappointed.

Heart Rate App. This is very helpful for people who have any issues with their heart rate, skips, palpitations, heart issues, bc at the very moment you feel a difference or discomfort you can take your heart rate, see the live read out of the skips or palpitations, & generate a report that you just print off & take to your DR. There’s also a “stress test”, tho that name isn’t exactly a medical grade stress test in which either a pt is put on a treadmill & made to go to their carefully calculated highest HR for age & wt, while they’re heart is monitored before during & after., or a pt is given a med IV that raises the BP & HR to this calculation. This stress test monitors only HR while you’re sitting then beeps for you to stand for about 15 secs. It then shows the HR on a graph, & another bar shows where you fall as far as at rest, less fit, all the way to fit. This confuses me bc you’re sitting/standing, not being active to tell if you’re fit. Then it gives a % from 0 to 30% which it doesn’t explain your score or even what the % means, & I’m an RN who’s worked in cardiology testing! I wish it included an 02 sensor, so if there’s an issue, that would be a solid piece of information, since lung probs can cause or be effected by the heart. Overall I find it very helpful for my Afib. And it’s free!;)

This App Saved my Life ( literally ). I had some heart problems starting in January of 2014 . After some misdiagnosis and some test I found I had sick sinus syndrome ( low heart rate trashcan diagnosis) they still couldn’t find the root though . I found your app and downloaded it I compared it to my pulse OX while at work and they were even. So come several episodes of Bradycardia HR of 22 at my lowest. In July of 2018 after several in out of hospital they find I have unspecified AI( Anterior Infarction) meaning they don’t know when it happened. I am now wearing a wireless “Halter Monitor “ for 24 days and I checked your app because the light was flashing and my HR was 52bpm ...

Step Above the others. I have been using this app for the last 4 years and I have never been disappointed! (There are some pop up ads that come after you take a measurement and honestly it’s worth it for it being free). This is a wonderful tool to have personally when donating plasma because you will be deferred for the day if your pulse is above 100 so I use this consistently to make sure that I am able to donate. A trick I learned for anyone that might need to get their bpm at 100 or below is to hold your breath for 30 seconds (set a timer) must hold it for the full 30 seconds. Do a reading before the breath hold and then do a reading after you will see a noticeable difference. Repeat if necessary after one minute. I’ve been able to get mine down to 74 temporarily from 113. I usually have a rate above 100 at any given time. So again this app is amazing and very accurate! Done comparisons between this and a no cuff and a pulseoximeter and Apple Watch. This app is spot on! Great work developers!

A handy app for on the go. When I had my fourth child, my blood pressure went through the roof. I was put on blood pressure medication from the time I was in the hospital, and was sent home with it as well with a follow up appt with my doctor. Checking my heart rate was vital when I would be on the go with four children. I do not own a blood pressure cup, but I was taught how to check my heart rste(which this app does for me, & I check multiple times to make sure I’m getting the correct reading) & was able to determine my blood pressure from there. I no longer need to take my blood pressure medication. But I rate this app at 5 for the handiness of having this app installed on my phone so u always had a measuring tool in hand wherever I went.

Life Saver. I am 29 years old and one day I woke up with severe palpitations. I did not have a blood pressure monitor to check my heart rate so I came across this app and it downloaded it, not sure what to expect. This app literally saved my life and was very simple to install and setup on my phone. After placing my right index finger on the camera it gave me an accurate heart rate of almost 200 BPM, this prompted me to go to the emergency room and with God’s Grace, the doctors worked on me and was able to get my heart rate down. Needless to say I continue to use this app daily to check my heart rate, as it keeps a schedule of all the rates, dates and times!!! Please download you won’t be disappointed.

Life Saver. In 2017 I had a pacemaker installed. The result of the surgery was for the first time in 72 years I experienced what it means to have a life. After the surgery my cardiologist visited. During our conversation he asked whether I knew I had a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO). So with Sally, and our family of 5 daughters and 11 grandchildren, modern medicine, a 25 year yoga practice, a study of stoicism, an intense study of physiology and anatomy with a focus on breath work, a gift from the gods and simply good fortune I am now enjoying this life. All of this work being monitored by this tiny application. It’s truly great to be alive. REVISION 1 Lots has happened since I posted my original comment. Still love this life but I’ve been dealing with a case of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus a very complex autoimmune disease. I will not pretend as this disease is unquestionably the greatest challenge of my life. Now 78 I come at this challenge with a different perspective.

Feels misleading. I appreciate the free version of this app but after having some heart related issues I decided to purchase the subscription. I was under the impression and felt like it was suggested that the app created an ekg like reading for doctors. In the advertisement for the paid subscription version, it stated that sending the report to the individuals Dr helped them find out they had a fib. I paid for the subscription and made a report to show my cardiologist. He basically laughed in my face and said “I don’t know what this is…it looks like it just tracks a simple heart beat but this cannot show me anything especially not anything relative to an ekg. Super disappointing.

Best app ever. I have struggling with heart Palpitations all my life and I can’t really breath when I exercise and this bye far has help me keep track of it and I also have exercise reduce asthma and that is really hard to but if your looking for something that keeps track of you stuff and alway accurate then this is the app for you and hope you will try this app out ps and let’s you add notes what you did to have a low heart rate and high heart rate so keep in mind that is good so when you go back you can see that is why I felt that way or when you show your doctor that or whatever situation you need this app for

Save my life. This app saved my life. June 2022 I was experiencing shortness of breath and could feel my heart racing. Unaware of what was happening I searched the App Store for a heart rate monitor and found this app. Upon testing my heart rate it was 200bpm. I thought to myself “ this app is broken” .. there is no way that’s accurate. I told my husband to give it a try and his heart rate was 90bpm. So I gave it another try and my heart rate was still climbing. So I went to the ER. Turns out I have stage 4 heart failure. My EF is 20%, and without this app I may have waited until it was too late…I am not on the mend… hoping to increase my heart function in time.

Why :/. So I had this app a few years back because I’ve always struggled with my heart rate, it would have you apply your finger on the light and slightly on the camera (depending on where your camera and light meet) and would read it within the 10sec and didn’t mess up in any way. It takes forever to read with your fingers now. I went to check my heart rate before writing this and I had applied it to my wrist as it was having a hard time reading from my hand. If I moved my wrist in any way shape or form it would immediately increase my heart rate and the “heartbeat line” would move when I moved my wrist, if I moved it up the line did it too along with moving it down. This app had made a major downfall and could be 100x’s better. Most definitely will be uninstalling.

Great App!!. I have been using this app now for several months. I use it at various times of the day during my activities. I am 69 now but have been active all my life and this app lets me know my heart rate before and after activities. I swim 1 1/2 miles almost daily and the app makes it quick and convenient to keep an accurate record of my heart rate. My resting heart rate now ranges between the upper 40’s to the mid 50’s. And, without this app I would not have known my rate was so good. I used to try checking my heart rate by trying to measure my pulse by doing it the old manual way was a pain; as I always had to have a watch or clock in which to take a measurement. No longer, as I just place my finger on the light of my iPhone and it not only takes a convenient measurement but keeps a record. Love this app!!!

Morning and post workout HR. I really like this app cause I like to check my resting heart rate as soon as I get in the morning and after a cardio workout. I can see the difference right away as my resting HR gets lower the more I workout. For instance, you can workout and exercise and you won’t see any significant weight loss right away but you definitely can see the difference in your resting HR. I started with a mid 70s RHR and after 2 weeks of cardio and going to the gym I’m already in the low 60s. The app is also very accurate cause I also use a blood pressure machine and the reading is within +/- 1 or 2 bpm difference. I highly recommend this heart rate app!

Not free as advertised, gains total access to your device. I do not believe for one second the high reviews for this app. Once it loads to your device you have to give it permission to access your device in fact it states that even when not in use it will run continuously and may drain your battery. To use it you put your finger against your camera lens (if you have a protection cover on your IPad or IPhone you’ll need to remove it) then your supposed to get your heart rate reading, BUT there are constant pop ups to buy “extra” features or a professional version. It’s very difficult to hold your finger still against the camera lens and close down the pop ups at the same time. It took me 20 minutes to get one reading. You can only do one reading in a 24 hour period of time, so once a day. Worst app ever.

My opinion. Fantastic App! Very accurate according to my doctor..I’m 36 years of age. Started tracking my heart health about a year ago. And continue to do so. Right now my heart health is good. with the kind of documentation that this app provides if anything does go bad down the road this should help my doctors pinpoint exactly when and where it did go wrong. Which should help me get more accurate treatment. If that day ever comes god forbid. I was in no way paid for this review. This is just my opinion straight up. I am not a medical professional FYI. But I do believe there is worse ways to spend two minutes out of your day.

Requires new Apple/Facebook account. I used to use this app years ago to check my pulse regularly with no problems. Tried just now, and that went ok-ish. But immediately after, I was stuck. All I can do now, even after relaunching, is Register or Login (using a Facebook or Apple account). Um. No?? Just take my pulse and show me the graph and results. You don’t need my info. You don’t need my email. You don’t need to know anything about me, “Instant Heart Rate,” except what the app picks up in the moment about my pulse. Irritating that yet another app refuses to work unless you sign up after install. Expect to get one free use, but you’re better off finding another app after that. Side note: the pulse test itself was ok. Was able to see my pulse wave in real time, which was cool, and my bpm. The only bad part was the countdown beep that got steadily louder about 10 seconds before the reading finished. I wasn’t expecting sound at all, and the beeping ended up visibly raising my heart rate and my overall reading. I wanted a more accurate reading where I was aware that Jaws-shark beeps were incoming, but not at the cost of signing up for an account. 1/5 stars, pass.

This app is not free. The app takes a reading and then locks you on a screen that forces you to give either your e-mail address or your Facebook account information. I tried to get around it, thinking this app is free. But I couldn’t. So I put in an alternate e-mail address I send junk mail to like I do with all apps that pull this type of sucker move on users. Then, after casually selecting the option that the app save my heart rate it sticks me on this inescapable screen that tells me I can use it something like 7(?) times for free but then it’s $9.99(?) a month. Dear App Developer. This 1 star review wouldn’t be here if there was transparency from the start. I’m having a heart issue. It’s why I downloaded this app. Thanks for frustrating me even more while trying to use it. Much appreciated. My advice is to download an app that’s actually either free, a reasonable one time cost, or at the least - is completely transparent in the description that this app is subscription based only.

Terrible.. It tries to make u purchase it before u even try it, couldn’t get past the screen without committing to a 7 day trial, there’s no way to say no and I killed the app to prevent that. U can’t do anything without repeated pop ups and ads that start playing loud audio then I couldn’t read anything but the number. The text is MICROSCOPIC. I am an app junkie and this is the absolute worst one I’ve tried yet. I’ve never had and app try to get me to buy something so many times just to use it once. I have no idea if I am now automatically signed up for this bs that I did not agree to, NOR do I have any idea how to cancel it yet. And don’t get me started on how it crashed my phone 3 times trying to get it and it asked for my finger print like 8-ish times and my Apple ID password three times. Somethings seriously messed up here.

Great tool. I really like the fact the every night around 9pm the app notifies me that’s it’s time to log my heart rate! I’ve been having issues so this is great for giving you a way to track your heart rate and not be guessing numbers when you see your doc.! You can just bring up the App and share the results!! It also seems to be pretty accurate. I used to check my heart rate with another device early into using the app. But after finding it was also dead on with my finger monitor each time, I haven’t even bothered!! Would definitely recommend!!!

Saved my life. This app saved my life! I was feeling dizzy, lightheaded and short of breath while in the shower. I ran out of the shower and my husband made me use this app to check my heart rate and it was 166! My husband called the cardiologist and he told my husband what to do to control my heart rate and suggested that I check it every five minutes until my heart rate leveled. It finally leveled to 85. If I had not checked my heart rate I would not have known what was causing the symptoms and would have under estimated my symptoms as nothing and could have had a heart attack. Now my cardiologist now suggests this app to his patients. This app is accurate as I have checked it along with hospital monitors and it was right on!!!

Ads chaotic, interfering w measurement.. I have the non premium version of this app. I understood this non premium version of the app works to give bpm but, just not the many other features. As I try to take the measurement, ads pop up blocking the screen and even seeming to interrupt the process but in any case blocking the read out. I don’t mean a single ad. Sometimes as many as 3-4 ads pop up and block the bpm scree in rapid suggestion. The x to reject the ads are hard to see on this iPhone X but when I find the x, as I do within a few seconds, it may take several presses to clear out the ad but, worse, another ad sometimes pops up immediately, and this sometimes repeats, as I said, 3-4 times. I understand ads for non premium apps. I have other non premium apps w ads and the App Store description helpfully notes ads or no ads. They’re a small hassle of course. But I have never had an app show a second ad in immediate succession, let alone 3. or 4! And this app is about emergencies, where being able to read the core data immediately is essential. I’m getting a different app. With this performance I’m not willing to trust these developers or their app. This is heartbeats per minute!!! How irresponsible!! If you are concerned about potential incidents of too rapid beat, I’d avoid this non premium.

Loved it until the last update. I have loved this heart rate monitor for years. Sometimes I think it save my life. I have shown the results to my doctor multiple times. All this changed with the most recent update two weeks ago. I can no longer use it at all. It has a screen that requires me to login using my email address. The app does not recognize my email address. I can log into the website using my email address, just fine. But not the app. I’m sad to not be able to use it. It was better than any other heart rate monitor that I tried. I just about decided it was worth paying for to support the product. Don’t know why this update doesn’t work?

Old faithful. I never rate apps or leave reviews but I feel obliged to do this. Not sure when this app was released but I swear I’ve been using it for close to a decade. Possibly the 1st ever heart rate app released on the App Store? I’ve never spent a cent on it in that time and barely notice the ads, unlike some apps that spam free users with ads. I seriously can’t think of any complaints, it just works. If you can get your finger in the perfect spot you’ll get a quick and accurate reading. I’ve tested it’s accuracy before by counting out the bpm of my pulse and it was always similar. Well deserved 5 star rating.

Ads too intrusive. I use this app because I enrolled in the heart study and I want to contribute to medical science but it's very annoying that ads interrupt the readings. I get daily reminders to measure my heart rate and I like that but to the developer, calm down! Let me get the results before you bombard me with ads! I'll look at the ads after I get my reading but I often don't use the app because I don't feel like dealing with having to redo the reading because gets interrupted. Also, I subscribed to the calorie counter partner app and was I hugely disappointed. The app was difficult to use and often didn't recognize the food I was eating (taking a picture of your meal was a selling point). You asked me for a review! So there it is.

Accurate, but needs a fix. I have tachycardia and need to check my heart rate. The bpm seems really accurate. But the problem is, I hate how you can only check your heart for free a few times. And then it keeps asking you to sign up, whenever I do that it gives me a limited amount of chances to check it. Can you please make it so you don’t have to sign up? Sometimes I need to look at my heart rate and don’t wanna keep having to reinstall the app since I don’t have an account. It would be better if you took out the part where it tells you to sign up and you can’t use it much after that. Perfect other than that.

No longer dependable. When I first started using this app some years ago, it was simple, accurate, and useful; the “instant” in the name was appropriate, and the readings were dependable. In recent updates, however (and this may have something to do with the placement of the camera lenses starting with iPhone 12), it is no longer dependable, either starting/stopping many times, or just telling me that there is no finger on the lens when finger placement is exactly where it was when readings worked fine with another app. I take multiple readings per day, and this app has let me down more often than not. Although I have tried to contact the developer about this, (s)he hasn’t gotten back to me, and there do not appear to be any changes in the app’s dependability. It was good for several years, but I’m afraid that as things stand, it’s not going to last much longer on my phone.

Was great, now less so wanting you to upgrade. I’ve had this app for several years and really liked it. It always seemed to be pretty accurate. I would have given it at least a 4-star rating and maybe even a 5. However, recently I haven’t even been able to get a measurement because it starts out wanting you to upgrade and I have yet to figure out how to close all the upgrade ads (closing one just takes you to another and round and round) to try to check my heart rate, despite my best efforts and wasting lots of time trying to close all the upgrade hype. Very unhappy. I have given it a 2 just because it was great in the past. I guess I’m going to have to begrudgingly pay for an upgrade for features that I won’t use just so I can check my heart rate.

Monitor great; access to account to cancel - a problem. There is no icon that shows my account or that allows me to access my account so that I may cancel the premium program - which is useless unless -there is nothing in it you don’t already know. The web link you get when you click on Azumio support goes to a webpage fir which you are provided a warning: this page may be impersonating the webpage and trying to steal your information. Close it quickly. I want to cancel my premium account. This should be a straightforward process; it is not. HELP!!!!

Heart problems at 35. I downloaded this app because I’m having some heart issues that ER doctors can’t determine that cause of. I’m hoping it can give me some insight that I can show my doctor in the near future. I was wearing a 48 hr holster monitor but not sure if it showed anything. I get results tomorrow. I need some peace of mind and I hope this brings me some. Drs say I may have PVC but we won’t know for sure until my ECG tomorrow. I hope they find something. Because I’m scared for my life. One thing I wish this app had is a level to show you where your heart rate lands after a reading . As in low, normal, or high.

Excellent for characterizing cardiac rhythm. I have been cardioverted twice for atrial fibrillation. Thus, it is important that I monitor my cardiac rhythm regularly. A few months ago I noticed an interesting anomaly in rhythm when I looked at my heart rate. Every third beat occurred earlier than the two previous beats and showed less blood flow. this pattern was reproducible. As a Med school professor, I had an MD/PhD student who studied genetic changes in young and old rat hearts due to aging, thus I am familiar with ecgs. I suspected a condition termed trigeminy in which every third beat is a premature ventricle contraction (PVC) beginning in the ventricle instead of the SA node. I emailed the graph to my cardiologist who had me come in for an ECG. It confirmed my “diagnosis” that indeed I was in trigeminy. Subsequently flow normalized and I have not again seen this condition. Electrolytes such as sodium and potassium play crucial roles in regulating cardiac rhythm so this condition could have been due to lower than normal concentration of an electrolyte such as potassium.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND SCAM. These people know exactly what they’re doing ... They scammed me out of money by renewing my subscription and tallying it up without my knowledge for months when I was only under the free trial. then one day I wake up and have a bill from Apple for $63???? For THIS app ??? Since WHEN is it okay to do this to someone without telling them every month ? I didn’t even agree to this . I didn’t even want to renew the free trial .This app isn’t even worth the ridiculous monthly price they try to charge . Would be better off buying one from Walgreens and would save you WAY more money . they scammed me. Since when is it ok to charge someone or hold someone accountable for something without letting them know ? Without giving them a proper billing statement or ANYTHING ?i didn’t use the app for months let alone have a single transaction from them then boom I see this ? I WILL be requesting a refund and I hope no one else purchases this app and falls victim to this , OUTRAGEOUS

Yes the App SAVED MY LIFE SEVERAL TIMES. Recently diagnosed with HCM hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. As we were working on getting the right meds for me I started having SVT supraventricular tachycardia. I had my heart restarted 6 times at the ER with adenosine. Oh what joy to hear yourself flatline, or hear the person next to you die. I was in the ICU area of the ER. A nurse apologized for me having to hear that happen but it is a part of life. To this day SVT happens. I use this app to confirm the heart rate and try the vagal maneuver to reset the heart. The vagal maneuver works along with this app showing me when I need to start the maneuver!! This app is a true lifesaver!! Thank you

App has got worse with new phones. This app used to be great way to check your pulse oh how things have changed...They used to use the flash to check your pulse now instead they have you just put 2 fingers on the camera and the readings are all over the place. Like yesterday I was checking after exercise and my pulse was all the way to 185 which doesn’t happen to me cause I have low heart rate , so most of the time even with an intense workout example a cardio workout going about 90% max effort I get to about 140 to 150 bpm because my resting heart rate is around 67 bpm. But for 10 mins when I used the app it stayed in 130 to like 170 range and wouldn’t change and I got nervous so I did the old way and checked my pulse by counting the number of beats for 15 seconds and multiplying by 4 and it was about 85 bpm which sounded about right! So I tried this app called Inpulse and the heart rate was exactly what I thought it was. So for people who want heart rate app thats accurate get Inpulse don’t use this app or else your gonna make your self think you have faster heart rate then you really have!

Alerted Dr.. One day I had a sudden onset of chest discomfort. Noticing that my heart rate seemed to be speeding I used the heart rate app to take my heart rate. It showed a rate of 127 and from the readout of the pattern I could tell that it was also very irregular. When it seemed to settle down, I did the same procedure again and saw a normal heart rate and rhythm. When I went to the Dr. a few days later I showed him the two readings and the huge difference between the two. This alerted him and caused him to put me in a 30 day heart monitor. Being able to show him the readout from this heart rate app was much better than just listening to my symptoms. It convinced him that something out of the ordinary happened and he is suspecting I may be having episodes of Afib.

May have saved my life. When I was 51, I found myself feeling really sluggish. I thought it may have been menopause or maybe depression. At the same time I kept using the app to check my heart rate and it repeatedly came out in the low 40's. This went on for a couple of weeks until I finally took my results in to the cardiologist. At first he didn't believe me and since I had no other symptoms he said the app was just wrong. Because I had consistently been get such low pulse reading I kept pestering him and He reluctantly order a Holter monitor test. When the results came back the next evening I was told to get to the ER asap and had a pacemaker the next morning. Turns out had complete heart block which is an electrical issue not a cholesterol/artery one. Without this app detecting my low pulse I would not have pushed the cardiologist the run any tests and would have listened when he said I was fine. I am so grateful for this app. Not sure what would have happened without it.

Good heart rate app!. This app seems to be pretty accurate in comparison to taking manual rates. It is simple and easy to use. It has multiple "heart-healthy" trackers built into one app and it allows you to monitor what factors, throughout day, may have an impact on your heart rate. This helps keep track of and monitor important health markers, so you can more easily manage your overall health more independently, and have a convenient place to share your information with healthcare providers so that they can also better help you manage your health (if desired.) Another positive is that this app integrates with some other apps like iHealth and sleep cycle (to name a few,) and gives the option to remind you to keep track of your heart health.

Terrible app. I paid the $9.99 for one month to test the credibility of this app. It is terrible to say the least. The only perk is that you can check your heart rate, lots of free apps where you can do that, and that’s about it. The stand up test is the real joke. No matter what you do it gives you a low score, I’m extremely healthy, I have regular doctor visits and am very physically fit, and this consistently gives me lower than 50% rating. Even though my heart rate is 58 BPM. Not to mention it never explains to you why you’re receiving the score you got it just gives you a random score and makes you feel horrible. If that isn’t bad enough, you can not compare it with other peoples because the friend system DOES NOT WORK! You cannot add or view other people and they probably do this so you can’t compare your ridiculous scores. I give this app a 0/10 because the free version is complete garbage and littered with ads popping up every second. Do not waste your time or money on this. You’ve been warned!

Best free app .. Look the adds get annoying and you have to click on and off the measure button sometimes but otherwise great :)

Murmur monitor. It was discovered a few years ago that I had a slight heart murmur. Have annual check up for it and so far it’s been good. This app just lets me keep my own check on my heart daily. So easy and love the reminder each day at set time.

Keep it simple. This used to be press and go, now it’s an absolute pain to use. Always asks me to sign up every time I open the app. Why would I need to sign up for a ******* heart rate monitor app? Also it takes way longer to load now on older phones. I need it to do one thing, but now there’s all these extra ‘features’ that cost $90 a year to unlock. If you’re someone who wants to spend that kind of money on literally 2, maybe 3 extra little (TINY) features then I’ve lost faith in humanity. I’m gonna go take an angry nap.

Exceptional app. Really like this app but don’t want to pay $99 for it. You guys need to change your strategy. Bring the price down to like $12-15 a year and bring more people to use it.

Not free at all. Had been using this app for a fair while and it used to be good but has been completely overrun by ads and “premium” upgrades. Recently they have changed the whole app so now you can’t even use the basic heart monitor with the free version anymore. Waste of time to download as you can’t use any of the functions unless you want to pay a huge amount of money.

Not worth it. This app clearly want people to purchase by frustrating a potential buyer with adverts that annoyingly pop up whilst you are doing your trail of 5 free readings- not impressed and deleted. First reading went ok before submitting the free trail of 5 readings, after that the app takes ages to read and just before it completes the reading an advert appears and the reading resets. Not worth it and don't like your approach taken, so will not recommend.

It works. I’ve been using this app for about 2 years now & often in the last 3 months…out of all of them you can use this one for free & for me it’s fairly accurate…I have atrial fibrillation & can pass on information to my doctor….I haven’t paid a cent but all I can say is that if I’ve taken readings for about a hour it takes a long time so you have to be patient & I don’t move much…I appreciate it though as all the others you can use a few times then you have to pay so Thanks to the developers…this heart & her electrics are grateful!!!

Worked Well Until!!. This was such a great app. I had this app on my iPhone 4' hello. I have a iPhone 6s now. Too much advertising then asks to upgrade to premium. Don't believe it it's all hogwash for a premium that dosent exist!!! It does work this app I have proven it with my exercise and heart rate times-- rest etc well done azumio!! It does work:)

Quick n easy to use. Quick and simple to use. I only use this app to get a quick reading every now and then. 5 stars because I’ve never had any problems with it however I do t really use the features

Mostly good.. Unless these are limitations only for the free version, the following ought to be considered. 1. The app appears to freeze the clock on my iPhone. This is annoying when wanting to measure directly after a workout and then 2 minutes post workout. Currently I have to exit the app to ‘resume’ the clock. Maybe it’s just me. 2. It would be nice to be able to edit tag names. For instance, I created a tag which noticed had a spelling mistake. I annoys me that I can’t simply edit the tag name. 3. As the app has been updated, it has become less sensitive to detecting my heart beat. Is it the iOS or the app at fault here? Overall the app is good but I have a preference for outright purchase as opposed to subscriptions.

Apps like these cannot work.. I would like to remind those unaware that measuring your heart rate via your flash might sound possible at first, but there are no sensors to actually detect the amount anything like your heart rate anyway. These apps literally cannot work without an external sensor, if you have a serious heart condition or want to know your actual heart rate, please look for proper devices, a fitness watch, etc.

Saved me from a serious heart problem.. I have been using it for years and have found it accurate and useful as a warning when my heart was irregular.

Slick!. Nice to see an app that just works, takes you directly to what you want and it’s very accurate. Awesome job, well done to the developers

Easy to use but the pop ups are annoying. I’m using the free app. Great for monitoring heart rate and I like the daily reminder. Would have been five stars but for the damned pop up ads which can appear mid test.

It’s a carrot on a stick.. You get one free measurement. Then you need to sign up, which apparently gives you a few more days, but you need to subscribe through the Apple subscription service. Definitely not a free app. There is no explanation of this BS anywhere. They are like a modern version of the salesperson who wedges their feet into your door once you open it a bit. Stay away!!!

Excellent app. Accurate and reliable. I’ve used this app for a while now and find it accurate and works well every time.

Amazingly simple. I needed a simple test to check my heart rate. My oncologist suggested I get it up 3 times a week. This app just helps me prove I’m doing just that after walking or exercising

Not upfront with pricing!. Maybe a reasonable app however, owners are not completely honest with cost. They get you to signup thinking it is free, but it is not and it costs too much. Cheaper and better to buy a Blood Pressure monitor that does more and is accurate. This app just gives you a general pulse and a couple of gadget things, but nothing else really worth the expense they require you to pay. Best to invest in a Blood Pressure monitor which is cheaper and more accurate and gives you your blood pressure as well as pulse for much less than the price for this limited app. Deleted the app Best to buy a watch or monitor which give you more and cheaper.

Useless unless you pay!. Only wanted to use heart rate. Now you have to pay a monthly fee! No chance ... deleted this waste of space.

Heart Rate App. I want to cancel. I was unaware of a subscription and was tricked into continuing because you back out when you start.

Great free app - but don’t select paid extras.. Happy with the basic recording of heart rate - which is all I need. When I cancelled the accidental selection of free Premium content trial, I was still charged over a week before ‘free’ time deadline. Finding how to cancel it is nigh on impossible. Great app...but I wouldn’t recommend the paid extras!

Money Grab. Have used instant heart rate for 7 years, but now states I’ve reached my limit & have to pay & sign up to premium. Will now find a new app

Helps me stay alive. I have AI and can have an attack any time. When I feel the chest pain, I use this app so I have a running record of the event. I log it and when my heart doctor reviews my records, he knows how many events I have each month. Happy to have this app.

Shonky App. I thought I’d down load this ‘free’ app and see how it worked. The first thing the app tried to do was log me in to its server and give me a free heart rate measurement that would also sign me up for a subscription, with a note that my apple account would be automatically debited each month UNLESS I canceled the ‘free’ trial. There was no facility to opt out once I had provided my details. I have since deleted the app as I don’t want anything to do with this shonky site. I have given it one star coz there is no option for a zero rating.

Markus mark. Very inconsistent, right finger pulse is different to left finger... at doctors while getting ECG... minimum 20BPM difference sometimes 30... once it read 220bpm and I was watching TV... checked my pulse on wrist and was only 75bpm. Dr in ER also cracked it with me using app as he said ER admissions have doubled because of these inaccurate apps. Also said if they were that good Dr would ask patients to put finger on their phone to check people’s Heart rate. Patients see a bad squiggling line freak out and head straight to ER. Take results with a grain of salt people. If you want true pulse result check your own on your wrist or neck and keep a dairy.

Fast Heart Rate. I was having ongoing issues with a fast heart rate , I downloaded this app and used it one night when my heart was racing the rate was 138bpm I continued to monitor it every 5 mins until I got to 185bpm and went off to the emergency department. I was able to show the Dr on the app how it had increased . I did get scolded for not showing up earlier ! I have now been diagnosed with SVT. Great App, don’t try and diagnose yourself though Dr does know best.

Mr. N. S. Booth. Great apps as this one, can keep your mind at ease after hospital stay’s. When you’ve been hospitalized had surgery’s and you can regain feeling’s of normality by seeing blood pressure returning to normal levels ie:”pre-hospitalization level, which is truely essential when returning to your real lives.

Not bad. Nice app however I really don’t feel like paying a generous amount for features I will barely or never use, I would however pay a small amount just to get rid of the adds and I’m sure I’m not the only one so please consider including this option.

Heart Rate is a very valuable guage. I have enjoyed using Heart Rate for the last two years and recommend everyone should check there vital statistics regularly.

Bill. I use the heart rate as a First Aider as I have hearing loss and wear hearing aids so I have difficulty finding a pulse and listening to breathing of a patient. By applying the iPhone to an patient I can tell immediately if they have a pulse and a heart beat so that I can apply correct help to them.

Good app. Good app with quick heart rate feedback. Just need to have personal data not go to any other organization, unless approved by user. Great opportunity to link data to users GP, Cardio specialist & close family members.

Good. The app is good it’s keeps track of my heart rate and easy to access and use but it beeps which makes it hard to measure my heart rate when my family is trying to sleep I don’t know whether you can stop the beeping but I tried and I couldn’t that why I gave it a four star

Good app. I have a problem with my heart rate being fast so I looked for an easy to use app and tried this one. It’s easy to take your pulse. I found if I try to take my pulse with the phone in a hard wallet type case it often didn’t detect my pulse because you can’t get your finger close enough to the camera on the back. I have to take my phone out of the case to get a good read. The other thing I don’t like is the subscription price for the full app. I’d rather try it free then pay say $10-$15 for the full app. The subscription is way too expensive. Display of old reads should be easier as well. Just a drop down menu would be helpful. Maybe that’s on the full app? I’ll never know because it’s too expensive to subscribe.

Used to be good now too many ads. Used to be good. Easy and simple to use. But now starting to get riddled by too many ads unless you pay like $15 a month subscription. Every click add, every screen ads. It’s a turn off. Deleted this off my phone immediately.

Great app. I tried it on my grandma and she got the best score. It came up 0 she beat the game, I tried my hardest to get it as low as possible by holding my breath in but I was never able to beat it. gg grandma

Always trying to get you to take Premium Subscription. App is a pain .. good at what it does .. take and track your pulse .. a stack of apps do that .. but this app ongoing trying to get you to take an expensive premium subscription.

Heart. I was in an ambulance and I compared it to the machine that was checking my heart rate and it was spot on. I didn’t completely trust it before that but now , I totally know that it’s perfectly right.

Information. Invaluable and so easy to use when you have to seriously keep track of your heart rate after pacemaker op

Saved my life. I had a problem waking up during sleep time. My GP thought it was asthma but got it wrong. She mentored I had a low heat rate but she thought that was normal because I was pretty fit and healthy, One night I woke up severely short of breath I remembered what she said and downloaded this app My heart rate was 30BPM I immediately contacted my GP and a friends cardiologist and after an angiogram I ended up with a pacemaker which fixed the problem. 10 stars for this app tbh :-)

Can’t get past sign up screen.. Won’t send your pulse to the health app, forces you to sign up / sign in even in the paid version and then has the Gaul to want you to PAY to subscribe MONTHLY! Lucky for me I can’t sign up, I enter my email then in the password field the keyboard vanishes. What a janky broken app! This used to be the bomb years back - looks like greed got the better of the app developer, shame!

Great app!!. I use this app nightly to compare data to how I feel. I gauge what I’m feeling and try to guess what my heart rate might be. I also try to deliberately lower my heart rate while using the app as it takes my reading. This app gives me quite accurate information with noninvasive means. I like it a lot.

Simple quality. Straightforward easy to use app that does just what it says it does. Solid and reliable

Pay to be harassed into premium. I just want to use this app without logging in, is it really so hard? Given I already paid for it, why do I need to login when all I’m after is a quick heart rate measurement? This is just so stupid! I keep coming back and installing this app thinking that maybe you’ve actually updated it, and then every time I have to delete it again

Frustrating - Takes forever to detect my finger. Good app HOWEVER So frustrating it takes forever to detect my finger! I’ll wait for a minute and nothing then move my finger multiple times to ensure it is in the correct position and it still has difficulty. Once it detects the heartbeat, you can’t move at all otherwise it will begin again!

Excellent app. This app has helped me so much! I’ve been able to rely on it to be accurate and I have been able to show the reading when I present to emergency with a very high heart beat.

Frustrating Ads!!!. Great app - if it didn’t have ads that can’t be closed! Nothing worse than attempting to calm the heart for a reading, to then be subjected to an ad that can’t be closed, without restarting the phone! It used to be a great app - but not now!

Sad and Disappointed. Used to be my favourite. I’ve been having heart rate problems for a while now, and I decided to see if the same guy be I used back in the day was still around, so I instantly downloaded as it was the most reliable one I had a few years ago. I was even more excited to see my previous heart rate history still saved! So I got right down to trying it out! I got what I expected and was pleased, until I wanted to try again. That’s when I was hit with the pay wall. I used this app as a free and reliable alternate option to a heart beat / blood pressure machine. I even tried downloading others but they’re super unreliable, so now I’m just left in the dark again.

Peace of mind. Having AF is a worry, but I am able to monitor fluctuations in heart rhythm immediately if required. I have been using this for 3 years now & found it puts my mind at rest. Fast, accurate & well displayed.

Super accurate!. This is such a nifty little app. I have a relatively high resting heart rate (my gp is aware as has no concerns) and I have been using the app for years just for piece of mind sometimes. Tonight I used it alongside my Fitbit and was very impressed to see the exact same heart rate on both devices. This is a great little app for those who just want to quickly check their heart rate if having concern.

Accurate. I use it every day and I’m very happy that it integrates nicely with apple’s health app. I find that my HR drops too fast when I’m exercising to get anything near max HR reading, but for resting it’s fantastic.

Useless waste of money. Paid $129. Try to contact them for refund and no return. Heart rate only, not the blood pressure. Useless if your goal is to monitor your heart condition. For that, you need a blood pressure machine or the Samsung watch that does it. Your heart rate and your blood pressure do not automatically increase at the same rate. It’s possible for your heart rate to safely increase twice as much as the normal heart rate while your blood pressure only increases a minimal amount. In fact, even when your heart beats above the normal number of times per minute, healthy blood vessels can become larger for easier blood flow. For instance, your heart rate increases when you exercise which helps more blood to reach your muscles. Aside from physical activities, your heart rate may also be affected by air temperature, your emotions, your body position, your body size and use of medications.

Review for heart rate. Very useful and fantastic to have !

Fine if you can deal with ads. I’ve been keeping irregular track of my pulse for years using this app because I’m a weirdo about making charts about stuff. The frequency that ads pop up can get irritating, but I find the trade off of having a fairly reliable pulse read result for free whenever I want (minus a few seconds to close whatever ad that popped up) to be worth it. I appreciate that the data that I’ve collected from previous phones gets imported when I upgrade my device, so I have results available from as far back as October 2016, easily 2 iPhones ago. Have I needed all those data points? I mean, they did help illustrate that I have a higher than average resting heart rate to my doctor without it really needing to be a huge concern for him, so I guess that’s something… but yeah, if you can deal with closing ads, it’s a pretty decent app for monitoring your pulse. A little tricky to get the hang of it with where to put your finger, but once you’ve figured it out, piece of cake piece of pie.

Don’t waist your time. Need to create an account and stuff It’s just a basic heart monitor app

Huh really. This thing works just as much as the edison for theranos, Elizabeth holmes would be proud!!

Now requires an account :-(. I've been using it for years but now that it requires an account and personal infos, sorry but: nope...

Not usable without registration. Now need to register to check your pulse 😂

Very good app. A very good, reliable app

Bad. Dont bother downloading

Not free. They let you try the app out, and then they ask you for $150.00 to keep using it. Waste of money for sure, my Apple Watch checks my heart rate for free!!! Scammers!!!

184 bpm?! Should I call an ambulance or the morgue? Lol!. My Apple Watch begs to differ and reads 71 bpm. Don't waste your time this is a scam app and most of these favorable reviews were most likely bought. An Apple Watch would probably end up being cheaper than this app and be much more useful. Why does Apple keep allowing stuff like this is beyond me.

Panic-Inducing. This heart rate app is extremely inaccurate. Sometimes it reads so high up to about 150, and when it’s measured by a doctor, it’s usually about 82. Not to mention, I would feel sick if my heart rate was that high. Horrible! Don’t download this app if you don’t want a panic attack.

Heart rate. Heart rate helps me track my daily activity. I check it all the time and i know it will be accurate.

BPM. Right on 82 BPS right On !

Thanks. This app does a great job showing an accurate pulse.

Too many ads, annoying to use. So many pop ups you have to close just for one pulse reading

Registration made me delete app. This app was fine, but tried to use it on my new phone and i wasn’t allowed unless I registered with email/Facebook. No thanks, removed app.

Awesome App. Works great for free!!!

Used to be good. I did like this app before used it for. A while. Now suddenly you have to create an account to use it. Hate it how companies force you to create accounts. Have now deleted the app

Dif not give me free trial and wasn’t the same price as advertised. They charged me $41.44 when I signed up for their 3 day free trial. I’m hoping someone can point me in the direction of a refund because that was unacceptable

Good. Very good

Just charge me and go away. Why does this app need to be a subscription? It gave me a few free scans and then insisted I upgrade to a subscription plan!!? I just want my heart rate measured from time to time. Charge me $20 and leave me alone. Why's it got to be infinite cost?

Comforting. Knowing is everything

Good. Good app. Ça à fait plus de 5 ans que je l’utilise et il est parfait. Been using this app for Mor than 5 years and it’s still good and am satisfied

Excellent app. Highly recommend

Accurate. I take my Heart Rate every morning and find it very accurate.

Ben. Terrible pop ups. The five star 'perfect reviews' are scams.

Great App. I've been using this app for the past 5 years and I have no regrets

My mistake. Myneunie I did the exact same thing. I ended up paying for it even though I deleted the freaking app immediately. I wanted to try it. I Never buy Anything before trying it but couldn’t seem to get out of the app without hitting buy. It’s a convenient for them glitch as far as I’m concerned. It’s taking advantage as far as I’m concerned. I’m on disability and don’t go buy things because I can. I’m also Very computer literate so I wasn’t in over my head. I’m mad though. I will use it though as I’m STUCK with it anyway I hope it’s worth the money and hassle. That $6 something is a WEEK???? Are you kidding me? The app says if you want to cancel go to settings then Apps I did that. And there is NO SUCH ITEM AS CANCEL. I can not afford this I’ve deleted the app from day one. But as far as cancelling the app and payment. I can’t do it. I really hope you and potential customers see this because I will post it on every social media I have. And won’t stop until it’s gone from my account. GOT IT. SCAMMERS

BEWARE!. I Paid for the “professional” use of this app and not barely 3 days and it’s FULL OF ADS and can’t use it more than 3 times daily. What the heck did I pay for ? They want a dollar a day?!?

Great app. I use it everyday day as I have atria fib. It’s a great app

Ad shows it checking you blood pressure but it just checks heart rate!. Why would somebody pay for a heart rate monitor. It’s not even that accurate. Just don’t download!!

Cancel. How do I cancel this app? I ordered it by mistake

Too much advertising. Between the ads and upgrade messages the free version is a pain to use. But it does show your pulse, so it works.

Ads absolutely everywhere…. The app works just fine at checking your pulse, but there are way too many advertisements throughout the whole app.. I also believe the cost of the subscription is too high for only a few extra features.

Not always accurate. Sometimes it reads very high like 150 when it’s 80 measured by my wife who is a registered nurse. This is alarming to see and gives me panic, if you have anxiety don’t use this app because it will sometimes give false high readings. Not cool!

Watch out. Free trial? Not really. Crashed every time I tried to use it and charged me the same day for an annual subscription…. $88.13 for an app that doesn’t work- not okay.

Doesn't work. I downloaded the supposedly free version. I could measure my heart rate once and was then offered a 3-day free trial for the premium version which I declined, but then the app wouldn't work (I just kept offer the free 3 day trial and no matter how many times I declined, I could not use any of the free app features).

Not as good as it use to be. The free version of the app has become more difficult to use, originally it seemed to work better than it does now. It still comes in handy from time to time.

Wrong information about free trial. Although they say there are 3 days free trials, you will charged immediately after subscription! It’s a wrong information

Seams suspicious. First time using it, I scanned my fingerprint then it asked for long in information, but to continue using it I have to pay $12 a month or $130 a year, yes I rounded up the dollar; now I have to charge my password.

Was. This app WAS great. Now it's polluted with Ads. Like, from the moment you open, and immediately after you take your heart rate.

it can’t measure blood pressure. Useless

Scam. Scam

Works great! Too many friggin ads though.. Too many ads only reason it’s not 5 stars

Long time user. Too expensive.. When the app first came out I bought premium right away. It was a one time purchase, done. Later on they pulled my premium and then flipped on a yearly sub option priced at a medical equipment rate.. There was also no way I could find on how to restore my purchases. I have a lot of yearly pay apps but they offer evolving streams of data or have off phone services. This is a one trick pony, that works locally on the phone and without the need of servers. I feel the max I would feel comfortable paying yearly would be no more then $25 Functionally wise it works pretty good but starts to loose accuracy over 200-230 BPM

Mon coeur. C’a aide à comprendre comment notre coeur travaille dans différentes situations de voir notre moyenne cardiaque

Heart rate monitor. The heart rate monitor is a game changer, and the best app ever. I highly recommend it!

Très satisfait. Très utile

Great app!. I used to be obsessed with my fitness tracking watch but realized it was doing more harm than good by constantly obsessing and checking it. So I got rid of it and downloaded this app and only check my heart rate when I feel it’s off, just want to see what it is or if I’m having any concerns. It’s really a great app and it seems to be accurate to me for the BPM. I have bradycardia and a pacemaker and have to be careful about watching my heartbeat although it typically is a healthy beat. This app helps to reassure that and make sure my heart it beating healthy!

Very accurate HR. I have POTs Syndrome. Basically an erratic heart rate that can cause me to black out if too light or too low. I need to monitor my heart rate on a regular basis and needed something I can quickly use. This was exactly what I needed. The accuracy is extremely critical to my health. I have been able to confirm the accuracy with my doctor on multiple occasions. If it’s not exactly accuracy compared to the docs monitor. It’s only off 1 or 2 numbers. We are both satisfied this apps accuracy.

Remember when this app was cool to use?. I just need an app to register my heart rate. I figure that’ll be more convenient than pulling out the blood pressure cuff and machine. This app used to be good for that, but then they discovered whales and monthly service subscriptions. I don’t begrudge a company their need to make money, but this “free” app is actually tryware. I downloaded it after abandoning the app years ago when they first cut usability to force users to subscribe. With this version, you are limited to five uses AND tons of intrusive ads. Then the app stops being functional. I’ve seen games out of China that were less cluttered and annoying. I just can’t justify $9.99/mo for a heart rate app. Not enough bang for the buck. Enjoy your app whales.

Good, but greatness not obtained!. Works well enough as you can see from the reviews. I find the ads very stressful!!! That is not good when you have a rapid heartbeat, ironically!!! Also, the more you use the app, the slower it seems to get. That could be disconcerting when you are experiencing a heart issue and can’t wait to see the results. So between the ads and the slowdown of the app, it could be it’s own cardiac stress test! By the way, the advertise this app as also being a stress test. I have not seen any of those functions yet. However, strictly for checking your pulse and looking at your heartbeat chart, it is probably the best one out there.

Literally impossible to use after last update. The "monitor" tab, the whole point of the app, is completely blocked by a notification highlighting the new Library tab. The only thing you can do is click "show me more." If you go to the library tab and back to measure...the pop up is still there. You can only go back to Library. I've scrolled all up and down the library section, rebooted the app several times, and still the only thing I can do on the Measure tab is go to the Library tab. Update: the latest update claims "bug fixes" but the Library popup is still there, still permanent, still making this app useless.

Great tracker. I’m not sure how accurate it is, but it seems pretty good. It takes some getting used to, apparently it uses your flashlight so it can “see” the blood flow to measure. I got this app (and a blood pressure tracker and cardio recorder apps) when I heard that my grandfather had a heart attack a few years ago. As active as I am, I’m surprised I keep getting a pulse rate of 84-86 so early in the day, which tells me I definitely need to improve my lifestyle. I have congenital solitary kidney and congenital mitral valve prolapse (both not diagnosed till after 16 despite symptoms at birth), so being able to easily track my stats is one less thing I have to worry about. Very happy

Making taking a stress test less stressful and checking bp easier. This is a very awesome app and couldn’t of come at a better time I’m having a lot of heath issues and going threw a stressful divorce and dealing with kids acting out I’ve been stressed and now I was put on blood pressure meds. On top of the diabetic meds and thyroid meds,So with that being said being able to check it with ease and with phone just blows my mind .i went to school to be emt so this is an amazing experience and they did an amazing job crest this app .

Incredibly intrusive ads. This app seems like it has the ability to be something truly great and even life-saving. However, after the first few times of taking my heart rate, the ads have become so intrusive that the app is no longer functional. It literally won't let me do anything due to all of the ads. I've never written a review before on the app store, but I felt this was needed since the main demographic are older adults. I'm a younger adult who wanted to keep track of my heart rate at rest vs before during and after panic attacks, but some might need this to track heart conditions. I feel that this model of business is unethical towards those who truly need heart rate monitoring. If the app developers need the money that much, then don't even offer the free version.

Works for me. I love how easy it is to use ONCE I get past all the screens making me think I need to pay to take my HR. I almost deleted it because I thought I needed to buy a membership or remember I was under a trial but after clicking out of all that I can take my heart rate without difficulty a couple times a day for free. I like that it reminds me I need to take it, and I’ve joined their study. I also like that it sends data to the Health app, so using this in conjunction with my generic smart bracelet gives me a better view of my real time heart health.

Uninstalled. I gave this app 5 stars on accuracy, but chose to uninstall it. They ask d me to sign in so I created an email and password after which they explained how to check. I did this and it was accurate. But then there was a next button which I would need to sign up for a free trial. There was no way to say no or later or no way to ex off that screen without putting in the info. I had to uninstall to get off that screen. I should have given you one star instead

Super accurate App. I have been using this for years & I find it 100% accurate in counting heart rate. When comparing the count by wrist and then with this App it is always right on. It is so simple, easy and fast to rely on this measurement. Why take the time to manually count, since this app does it for you? (I am a real person reporting this). I have Afib and I can always get a heart reading that is accurate to report to my doctor. Otherwise I would not be able to manually count 100>120 beats. This app does it though.

Life saving App!!. This App has saved my life. I kept feeling my heart flutter but didn't have a way to check it. I downloaded it and my HR was running 28-low 30's. I told my cardiologist that I've been checking it with this App. He said that you can't trust these Apps. His nurse had just checked my HR then I used Heart rate free. We compared and my reading was the same as hers. My Cardiologist said that it was one of the most accurate Apps he'd ever seen. I now have a pace maker and I still us the App. Now several of my friends are using it. Thanks For HR FREE. Life saver!!

Very accurate!. I have tested it with other monitors that I have and this app has proved to me to be right on track with them. I like the app because it is so convenient no need to take along another device if I feel I want to check my pulse for any reason any time anywhere I go. Just by holding your phone and putting your index finger on the camera lens gives a reading within seconds. You also have the option to turn off the sound on your phone.

Hard to get it to read, wildly inaccurate when it does. I want to really like this app, but it’s extremely difficult to get it to read. I got the first reading after maybe five or six attempts, but in trying again, it took at least a dozen attempts before it would start to read. I positioned my finger as recommended by the app. Then it would stop and start again, and this happened repeatedly. Then it told me that it couldn’t detect my finger any more, even though I hadn’t moved it. The first reading was 147, and the second one was registering in the 150s and higher, even peaking over 200 before it quit on me. My actual pulse measured with my fingers was 54. That’s consistent with what doctors have measured over the course of my life. So for me this app was an abject failure.

This app possibly saved my daughters life. My daughter came down with pneumonia and a high fever. I checked her pulse with this App and her heart rate was 186! We immediately called 911 and rushed her to the hospital. Her thyroid was imbalanced and she spend three days and two nights in the hospital. The doctors asked a few times "what made you check her pulse", from which I responded that I use this app and that I always check mine so it was the first thing I thought to do. They said things could have been much worse if her pulse wasn't taken and we didn't react quickly.

I want my money back or an app that works. When I tried this app for the first few free tests, it seemed to work well - accurately measured heart rate in 10 seconds. As soon as I paid SIXTY DOLLARS for a years access to the app, the app became useless. Takes almost a minute to get a reading but the reading is means nothing - it shows my pulse starting off around 70 and then up to 160 then down to 90 then up to 110 ... jumping all over the place until it falls on a random number. I’m left only to feel anxious when this app arbitrarily tells me my heart rate is 120+ when there’s no way it’s over 75 (manually checking pulse to confirm). Guys please give me money back or help resolve this issue. People have a right to be a bit upset over getting gypped out of 5 bucks but 60 dollars? I’m over here feeling like I got robbed.

Works but why do I need to pay?. So I’m a 14 yr old boy and I’m basically in a resting state and i can tell my heart rate is high cause I can feel it. also my legs a very weak and I’m really tired even though I’ve eaten enough and got enough sleep but the worst thing is my left shoulder is hurting and it goes down to my wrist. I never leave bad ratings and definitely not a bad review but I just downloaded this app and after testing it out a few times it says I’ve used my maximum HR checks things and that I have to pay 10 bucks a month to use more just like whyyy😕 it’s literally important for people in an emergency to use this app without going through the trouble of getting a sub. For $9.99 a month. I’m not really mad I just don’t get it.

Accurate and easy!. I have an irregular heartbeat. This app shows it, meaning I can monitor my cardiovascular health. My late boyfriend showed this app to me 6 years ago and I love it! It can be tricky for some people, I’ve had friends try it: You hold your phone face up in your palm with your pointer finger on the camera lense, rest your arm on something so you can stay steady and not shake. Firmly press your finger but not too firm. The flash turns on, highlighting your finger and that’s how it measures. Good luck & enjoy!

It’s a goal !. Resting rate was mid 90’s tracked before exercise back in 90’s when I was 200 + pounds. Forward to 2016 and retired from teaching ; I got serious about changing my health( obesity, apnea and depression) and set a goal of 60bpm. This app not only helped track the decrease but also with vagus breathing ( slow exchanges of breath) . 57 was my lowest yet last week ! With daily aerobic exercise better food and yoga the proof is documented here. It’s handy for all kinds of data- even fighting a sinus infection or pushing for a longer sprint time in running. I’m 64 and so much more-

Good app a little expensive. I got this app because a friend told me about it. She thought or she got it for free and now they charge. This is what I got from her and the reason I got it is because suddenly I developed an AF. I am a healthy person, I don’t smoke, drink, eat well and exercise regularly . I need it to get my HR at different times and I find it great I do not have to write the findings to show to the cardiologist. It is a great app and I do recommend it because also has other features which is great for active people.

Fast and easy for pulse, if only.... It it a quick and simple way of measuring your heart rate. I would pay about half of their yearly “you’ll never own it” yearly subscription. To buy the entire program. I don’t rent apps or blindly pay for future products. I would like an option to buy into ongoing costs should the company have to store data or subscribe themselves in order maintain capabilities. If you add features, release a new one time pay upgrade and at that time I’ll decide whether it’s worth the cost or whether I keep the older version. If you want me to fund R&D, then sell me stock.

Limited use app. Stops functioning without premium upgrade.. This is a limited time use app. In no way is this free with upgrade option and limited features - it simply stops working and sits there unusably until you pay to upgrade. It seems like it could be a good app, however it doesn’t do much. The stress test is heart rate sitting and followed by rate after standing up. It give you a fitness percentage based on the difference. The upgrade cost is too high for that. Also, don’t bother trying to invite people for a free week upgrade - it doesn’t work. Invited 6 people and nothing. Giving it two stars because the design is decent.

Free Version is Awful, even to try. I was in a difficult situation where I was light headed and needed to know if my heart was okay when I downloaded this. You get a total of 5 entire measurements. These are also interrupted by ads at the start, finish, and sometimes in the middle which managed to mess up 3 of my 5 free readings. I wasted nearly 15 minutes during a scary and tense moment. I downloaded another app immediately and found out my actual heart rate with extreme ease. After the poor presentation, I would not pay money for this app. Even if the paid version was improved, they have very poor practice and coat an app that has great utility in difficult situations with ads to the point where you would be better off counting your own pulse with a stopwatch. Unreasonably poor experience, 0/10.

Nurse at Cardiologist Recommended this App. This App is great to measure your heart rate and keep track of it. It was recommended by the nurse at my cardiologist. She uses it herself. I have been using this app for years now and it has been a big help in keeping track of my heart as I had issues with tachycardia. it also lets me see a history of my heart rate and what I was doing at the time that elevated my heart rate. it’s also brought me a lot of peace of mind when I thought my heart rate was high and it actually wasn’t. Highly recommend! ❤️

Great app. My only complaint is the premium price but you do get what you pay for, this app has actually saved my life before, I thought I was having a heart attack, the only thing I had to see if my heart was acting weird was this app when it got my pulse rate I went right to the emergency room, turns out panic attacks are similar to heart attacks, when I found out pain in one area isn’t a heart attack I realized keeping a daily pulse check and keeping a pain check list was imperative to good heart and over all health.

Panic Attack palpitations tracker, I’ve used this 7+ years. I’ve been using this app for at least seven years. I mainly use this app to track the palpitations when I’m having panic attacks. My pulse will go from 70 to 170 for a minute or hours 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😩 and I like that I keep track of this. I have a record for my mental health, to see what patterns are repeating that need to change. The beeping makes me anxious I wish there was a way to quickly mute that. But that’s little. I still give this five stars

awesome app. I’ve been using this app for years. I have a lot of panic attacks and anxiety and sometimes I feel like I’m dying or my heart is beating irregularly slow. This app helps me reassure myself that It’s all just in my head and that my heart rate is normal. This app literally saves my life from excess worry. In the past my heart used to beat too fast from worrying and it would help me calm myself down. Whoever made this app thank you so much. You have helped me so greatly and there are no words to even tell you how much I appreciate you.

Works well. I know it's free, but the ads drive me nuts when I'm in the middle of checking on my Heart Rate and zone category I fall in! I've had to make copies of the zones and switch back and forth between my notes. Maybe, they could have the category come up after heart rate is established? Can the ads be moved between heart rate checks? I use the app to see if I am in the correct heart rate zone for fat burning, cardio, warm-up. I tend to hit extreme too often and appreciate this app. to help me check on this aspect of my competitive nature! Go App!

You save me. Twenty five years ago I had my first heart attack I’m 99 years off age and i wish I had that darn app back in my day now I’ll never have a heart attack again, I used to get them all the time 6-9 times a day (heart attacks) I would get dem I’m my sleep while driving and eating and everywhere else, the reason for this is that I started smok’in back when I was 6 and I’m 99 now and I’m still smok’in my heart is so bad and this app fixed my tar filled heart it sent signals to my heart then boom my heart is brand new so I’m giving 69 stars I saved my life

What happened to this app?!?. This used to be my favorite HR app, it was simple, straightforward, easy. Then the developer started adding pop-ups and pop-ups, eventually I dumped it and figured that eventually they’ll learn their business plan is not viable. Well, needed to compare with my Iwatch and downloaded it again. Honey moley- it’s a much worse mess that even before! $60/year to kill ads (you hope), pop-ups seem to be on meth now, and all sorts of added garbage and sales pitches just to try a couple checks. This app is basically dead as far as usability. Listen, I don’t mind paying a couple-three bucks for this app if it would just let me take my heart rate without all the added crapola. Instead it’s this awful choice between an unusable “freemium” version and an unsustainably priced “subscription” that gives me way more than I’ll use. The app used to be good enough that I’d even throw $5-10 a year at them to give me the basic services without all the added noise. But now it’s just another crappy app that is committing suicide by trying to bite off more than it can chew. Ugh, sometimes developers are so short sighted. Delete again....

As a fitness lover, this app is excellent and delivers results fast. I’m 38 years old and have been into fitness all of my life. Now that my training has become much more scientific and intentional , I find that controlling my heart rate into certain zones helps me reach and maintain a feeling of wellbeing and control over my fitness levels - especially looking years down the road as I prepare for the aging process- This app allows me quick and easy access to an instant reading where ever I am- I love it

Holy Ads!. I am more than willing to purchase a full version of an app once I have had time to use it and get a good feel for the quality. However this app throws so many ads your way it very frustrating for someone with actual serious health conditions to get a quick read. I’m uninstalling because of this. I would have bought the app had it not been for the unseasonable amount of stop and go just to get a read before the full version is bought. My suggestion would be to just offer a trial longer than a week and allow people to fully enjoy the app then make a purchase.

Used to be One Of my most favorite apps. Azumio you are horrible. You have become incorporated and deceitful. Now you charge for what used to be free. I agreed to write a review and noticed you already entered a title for me. Ok then I tap to enter text and notice there is already something written there but is in white font on white background. So I copy it and paste it in notes and behold. You already wrote a whole bunch of nice things for me to say about you. That is crooked and cheating and deceiving. To ou had better stop it. This one a are my two most favorite every day. It seems to be quite accurate. I'm still amazed at how it could see the pulse in my . Way to go Azumio. P make the heartbeat graft s

Sneaky ad clicking. I liked the app for what it does, however, I pretty much instantly despise any app that attempts to trick people into clicking on ads. The banner ads that appear within the app have this little fake red circle X in the top right corner of them, as if you could close the banner. But this X does nothing. As you tap it over and over, trying different locations thinking maybe you’re just missing it, you end up clicking on the ad itself a few times before coming to the conclusion that the X does nothing more than trick you into clicking on a few ads (clicked ads make a lot more money for the devs than a thousand impressions would)

The tests seem accurate but omg…. Am I the only one who has been interrupted while measuring their heart rate by some freaking ridiculous video game or something???? I pay good money for this. When I go to test my heart rate bc I think I may be in a danger situation and then that gets interrupted by advertising (and my results therefore don’t get measured and I have to do it over again), that just makes my blood pressure and heartbeat rise even more!!! Ugh!!! So annoying!!! It’s happened many times , and I pay every week for this service!!!! Ridiculous!!!!!

Immediate Heart Check. Always there when I need to check my heart rate no matter where I m at. Allows me to monitor my condition. I had atrial fibrillation for five years. After learning about catheter ablation, I had one a few months ago. When done the cardiologist said I was back to one heartbeat. After a few months, my cardiologist said to stop taking my prescription drugs, Xarelto and Amiodarone, and start exercising. I use my heart rate daily since it’s so easy with the app on my iPhone.

Helps exercise routine. I checked its accuracy when resting. I counted my actual pulse for 60 seconds. Then I used this app. The two numbers were only 1 beat apart. I am using it on a NordicTrack ski machine and have made a mount for my phone so I do not drop the phone. My intensity slows a little when taking a reading because I have to stop pulling the hand cords. That changes my heart rate a little, but I have learned I need to go a little harder than I thought to be in the fat burning zone. Often more seconds pass than I would like because my pulse has not yet been detected.

Can't read heart rate anymore. This app used to be great. It was a free download and did what it was made to do. I've always found the readings to be very accurate. Much easier than manually finding your pulse and counting your bpm. It was a 5 star app, but not anymore. Since the update, it has become useless. Nowhere did I see an indication that this app was switching so you have to pay to measure your heart rate. There have always been premium features but the actual measuring was free. Not anymore. It's useless. Must have been that nobody was paying for premium features so they made the whole thing a paid app. There was no warning of this. I will just delete this as it is now useless and I can manually take my pulse. Why pay a monthly subscription to do something that I can do without it?

Great!. One of the only heart rate apps you can still use the basics on without having to pay for subscriptions. Hope that doesn’t change, it’s great for tracking. If it keeps working as it is now I may pay for the premium subscription, it’s nice to finally have an app you can try the basics for a little bit without any agreement to have to pay a subscription fee with in a free trial. Thank you for making an amazing app!

Perfect for Quick Readings!!. I highly recommend this app, not only because it’s a very easy to use, but it’s reliable to use for rounded heartbeat readings. I got this app a few years ago because I was having strange rapid heart beat episodes in High School. And because I used this during one of of the episodes (in class mind you) it proved the severity of the situation. It recorded the BPM and I gave it to my doctors as evidence. Turns out I had a rare heart syndrome called Wolf-Parkinson’s-White. Truly a life saver.

Forced Ads & Upgrades - useless. This app used to be amazing, clean interface, accurate measurements, easy to use. Now upgrade messages pop up that you cannot cancel unless you force close the app. Advertisements pop up after taking measurements again that you cannot close, it is *useless*. I couldn’t even close those items to try to check the in app purchase to see if I was willing to get rid of all that! They’ve ruined what was an amazing app by trying to force every last penny out of those of us willing to download it. Sad. Someone else will soon make something the same or better without all of this nonsense, and perhaps a simple, sensible subscription I would happily pay for.

Review Vs. Paying. In the instance that I installed this app I was in complete disarray; I was shaken and my heart was beating at an unhealthy rate, especially since I had been at what should’ve been a resting heartbeat. It was important, at the time to see what my heat rate was, because that was the only thing to focus on. I got my heart rate and it was way too high, I found a way to focus myself. It was good for the night But then I gett a message everyday from the app to register my heart rate every 24 hours; After said pop-up that will pop up you have to dig for the free interaction. If you are using this for the first time and are willing to pay for the advantages this is a good app; this app tell you that it is free but you only ever get to take one test. When you really need it, the app doesn’t give you the minimal of what it can give someone. You have to dig to look into why your heart rate went up before you can even find any free option; the options you want to be easily accessible to you.. You have to pay to pay..

Before and After Afib. I have been using this app for two years. I started when I was heavy having afib and was able to show my dr the readings I was getting of which were accurate enough to be read by a cardiologist and show the afib flutters. The day I had ablation surgery I used this app every hour checking my heart rate and graph comparing it to the hospitals equipment and it was spot on. The key to this app is to sit still, be quiet and do that each time for a consistent reading. Thanks for such a great app!

this app basically saved my life. I was having a panic attack that was mostly physical, and was experiencing some chest pains and shaking. I kept checking my pulse with my fingers, and it was rapid, but I couldn’t pinpoint it. I got nervous and downloaded this app, which read me at 121 bpm, and then 146 bpm. A part of me wondered if the app was lying, but to the emergency room I went. ...Where my bpm escalated to 180, and I had to have chemical cardioversion to restart my heart. So, needless to say, this is a pretty helpful app. I don’t know if I’d even be here had I not downloaded it. Thanks for making such a simple, helpful app.

Always on the money. I have been using this app off and on since it was released years ago. I have probably reviewed it before but it’s time for an update. The app never lets me down, it’s always extremely accurate, has worked over the multiple iPhones that I’ve used over the years and is so simple and easy to use. But of course the most important part, is when I compare to my actual pulse with a watch, it is always right on the money.

A must for anyone w/ cardiovascular issues. It’s an easy and designed nicely provides reminders of when to measure. It’s accurate compared w/ hospital equipment typically 1BPM over or under the results of that equipment making it an accurate measurement and it’s right on your phone it’s convenient and there r not millions of ads. Plus I think u can upgrade from the basic free version. Important to t people w/ a history of problems of the cardiovascular complications or those who r simply curious or health conscious, whatever the reason.

Not reliable. I use this often especially now with Covid19 on the loose. Monitoring my vitals to be sure everything is okay and the heart rate jumps around for low to high to ridiculously high. I suffer from anxiety so that of course put me into a panic attack. I have an Apple Watch and when I compare the two this app is way off! I even went to an urgent care and this app was way off! Jumping all over and had me panicked! This app needs to be corrected! I would give 1 star but I used to love this app and really relied on it. Hopefully they can get this fixed for free and not charge folks so much money in the face of a pandemic!

Useless app now- used to be great. I used to monitor my heart rate/blood pressure with this app for free for many months, it came with my phone I think. As of late I started having issues and started to use the app again. After 5 events it locked me out so I paid for a subscription. Now the app won’t let me take my vitals more than once per day and has this darn pop up “show me more” telling me I can go to settings etc but I actually can’t get past the pop up to change anything in settings. Was much better before the added nonsense and now I can’t get it off my phone, still says it’s free yet I’m out the money for my paid subscription. Not happy.

Does a Good Job. Easily & accurately measures heart rate, logs it, allows you to write a note about whatever you want in relation to individual HR readings, and even allows you to use pre-set and custom-made tags with which to associate the readings ("resting," "two minutes after exercise," etc.). The whole process takes 15-20 seconds. Also, the app allows you to set notifications to remind you to check heart rate. AND, the ads for the free version aren't really obtrusive. (The paid version is perhaps a bit steep in price--about 10/month[?].)
