Fast Faxing. Have you ever had to fast for any religious or medical reason? You feel hangry and desperate. That’s how I felt this morning when I went to get my blood drawn and the lab had not received my doctor’s electronic order in the their system. I had a copy on my phone, but it couldn’t be emailed. They needed it printed... or faxed... I was not going to let this fasting go to waste, so I hopped on Google to ask how to send a fax* from an iPhone. And there it was. You, efax, were the answer to my prayer. I downloaded the app, typed in the office’s fax #, attached my order, and pressed send. They received it right away and I was able to get my blood work done. So thank you, efax, for your much needed assistance. I will be sure to utilize this in the future and will recommend your product to others. *Much like pagers/beepers are to hospitals, facsimiles (or faxes) are not completely obsolete and are still a preferred communication channel for many healthcare facilities due to HIPAA/PHI compliancy.

Horrible customer services. I really liked this app, however this month was an error and they blocked my account. For 3 days I called customer services several times and every single time they hang up on me. I have no access on the account and nobody care to help restore the account. They don’t even bother to look into the error and see what’s going on, they just rudely hang up ... I thought was a great app but with customer service like this that they don’t care about customers and they can deactivate your account anytime they feel like and not looking in helping is a shame... I would have never sign up with them if I knew they have such a poor and horrible customer services

Horrible customer service is crap no way to speak to a real human. I downloaded and it set up a ph# and I wasn’t even able to set up a password before kicking me off the system. Tried to rest and just got the computer run around. Called customer service and transferred me to what I thought would be a live person and then disconnected me after dealing with this nonsense for 15 minutes plus. I am still trying to cancel and delete the app from my phone. Horrible do NOT DOWNLOAD. Save yourself the headache. I was never able to use the app to send / fax a single document I would give it a ZERO star but that isn’t a option Disappointed customer

Horrible HORROR-ible. Wow. Customer service just hangs up on you. I called them 3 times to get help, because I wasn't receiving faxes. I had already paid $50 for around 6 months of service and hadn't been receiving the faxes people say they sent me. How unprofessional is that. I called and was hung up on two out of the 3 times. The 3rd time instead of asking for help I told them to just cancel my service. I don't have time to deal with a company like that. They also refused to refund me the money that I paid even though I hadn't received faxes. A simple test fax would show you that something is wrong with their system, because the faxes don't go through. Horrible.

App Reliability & Website Updates. I normally use the web version eFax and it is normally great. However, when the website is being upgraded (in the middle of the work day), current subscribers are told they can “still send faxes by email or eFax Messenger just like normal.” Great! ...Except that I don’t normally use those versions and, in fact, have no idea HOW to use them. Since the site is being upgraded, there is now page available with instructions either. So then I go to the app. The problem is that there is always an unknown error that occurs. Maybe the app is linked to the website and is also being upgraded, but the fact remains, I am left stranded in a job where I constantly need to have the capability to fax things. Fixing these issues would change my review to 5 stars.

Misleading and a terrible service. Paid the annual fee for 150 monthly pages. 1st month we sent 146 normal pages and was charged $80 additional. The customer service rep said I went way over on the month. When I informed him I can go to the sent file on the app and see that I only sent 146 pages, he changed his story and said that the duration of each fax took long and there is additional charges for that. When I reminded him that I’m sending normal black and white documents and I didn’t creat the app so I can’t control how long it takes the EFax system to send things, he suggests that I upgrade my plan. Why would I upgrade when I’m not going over the allowed 150 monthly pages? If you’re going to use this service, please pay monthly incase you have an issue because there are no refunds when you pay annual.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL THIS SERVICE. I tried to call their customer service tonight to cancel my account five times, and no one answered. I also tried to chat with someone from customer service for over thirty minutes, still no one connected, and it finally timed out and disconnected me from the chat. After I wait all of this time I get kicked off because no one will answer? This is the fifth time I have tried to cancel this account in the last two months. NO ONE will ever answer! I sent four emails, and two tonight. You are supposed to call or chat with them to cancel your account, BUT LIKE DTV SATELLITE TV, NO ONE WILL EVER ANSWER!!! TRY MAKING A CANCEL ACCOUNT BUTTON! I am contacting Apple support because this is an app the locks you in, and you cannot cancel the service due to the fact that they never answer.

My documents were not received and account not cancelled on time. I contacted e-fax immediately after signing up letting them know the plan was to much for my needs and I teSted two faxes neither government organization received those faxes I asked to have the account cancelled due to not working properly or at least a refund until we could successfully send a fax but company insisted on not refunding for the time that services were not able to be rendered. Sadly due to this I cancelled with the loss even though I would have been interested in a relationship if the product would have been proven to work but not okay paying for tile were it was not functional. Future credits were offered however you know how that is you get suckered into getting stuck longer waisting more time. I believe we had enough email conversation to support a credit and they could have credited the amount and offered another few weeks to prove their service worked.

Fantastic. I travel a lot, I don’t always have access to a fax which can be very stressful when you need it and don’t have access to it- until now. I did a little research and eFax was rated very highly for ease of use and being able to send and receive faxes. It was exactly what I needed. You are assigned a number which is dedicated to faxes you get a notice when faxes come in. You can send a cover page, this is fantastic!!! I’m very pleased and relieved that I have a fax machine right in my hands.

Some GOOD Some BAd. I would like to have the ability to block a number for fax coming in. I work in healthcare and a hospital sent me "multiple" faxes over 2000 pages...I literally could not get that number to quit faxing the chart to me. Of course I went over my my limit of what I pay for to use e-fax. I was being charged per paper...cost was growing (over $200)! I called customer service for help and was told I should close my account for a few weeks until issue resolved (2 weeks of not getting fax...really?) I was at a loss "simple fix allow me to BLOCK a number" But I do receive faxes and able to send without difficulty...great tool when your an on the go midwife.

Not working at all. Tried sending 3 faxes: 8 pager, 8 pager, and a 1 pager with the help of their customer service representative. Somehow, I am not getting a notification if the fax went through or not. After having 2 support calls, they finally figured out the iPad app is not working at all. They are advising to send the fax using the website instead which I can confirm is working. Deleting this app. I don’t understand how can this app get a 5-star review when the UI is horrible (exiting the app resets the page) and the function you are using it for doesn’t work at all. I’ll try another app, good thing i just did a free trial.

Too expensive. The cost of a monthly subscription is way to high for those of us who send a fax maybe once every other month or less. It’s easier to cancel one’s subscription after a fax is sent and then get another free trial once you need to send another. They should create a tiered payment system based on faxes per month.

Disappointed. I attempted to use the app and it will not send any of the attachments added to the fax. Just the cover page. I call customer service and told them the situation— I have attached 8 pages, however, it is only sending ONE page, the cover sheet. He goes through my file and takes a look at the account. He then proceeds to let me know that “everything is working fine, I see here that the fax went through perfectly”. Confused, I ask “wait, how many pages?”, he says “one”. Seriously. Was this guy not hearing my complaint in the first place? JUST THE COVER SHEET IS SENDING, I AM NOT ALL SET. I ended up thanking him and told him I would figure it out on my own. I then attempted to use the online portal to send a fax instead of the app— DIDNT WORK EITHER. Edit: I got a notification from my bank that I was overdraft in my account due to charges from this app. Although I was on a free trial basis, I was charged SEVERAL TIMES, for several failed attempts at faxing. I called customer service a total of 3 times in one day. Come to find out, I was charged back to back to back for faxes that hadn’t even gone through. I really wanted to like the app but it’s a HARD PASS. I’ve already unsubscribed. The only positive thing I have to say is that they are willing to refund me. Haven’t seen it come back yet but I will stay in touch with them to make sure I get my refund.

Good app not worth the hassle to cancel. Needed to fax some documents. Thought it would be a good app. App worked well. But after I canceled in my subscriptions I still got charged. Wondering how that happened I looked into my subscriptions and there was no more option to cancel. Went into the app to try and cancel, no option in the app to cancel. Went to their website to cancel, told me my request couldn’t be processed. I had to call their customer service to cancel. It seems to be designed to make it very inconvenient to cancel the app. I will not be using this app again if I need to fax something.

No saving drafts/Kicked out when you leave app. While I am extremely grateful that I have a way to fax documents from my iPhone, the one time I’m trying to use it has taken up more time than is necessary in this day and age. Be forewarned: prepare your cover sheet in another app, before you get into the app. Why? Because if by any chance you need to leave this app for one second, the app kicks you out, you have to sign back in, and the cover sheet that you created is completely gone. The problem is, like in life, once you start some thing like riding your cover sheet, you might realize that you forgot to scan something, or you didn’t upload the document into the Files app before starting the cover sheet. The app is unforgiving, and you you lose that cover sheet. Now I know, yes, but this is similar to dealing with Word docs that don’t have auto save. It’s a feature we should have these days. And the app shouldn’t refresh once it’s left. Not with all the multitasking we can do on our smartphones. Not for $16/month.

Thieves! Don't recommend.... Dowloaded app today. Was suppose to get free 14 days. They immediately took my money. Tried calling number in app; it's a scam. First it asks you to press 1 to win a gift card with no other option. Was thinking it was a way through to efax. It was a sales pitch. Hung up and called back again. Waited til it said press 2 for more options. Pressed 2. The guy that answered didn't give an efax greeting of any sort. I asked if it was efax; he said it was. (I was very, very noisy in the background. So much so that I could barely hear him.) [the lack of efax greeting and background loudness started to make me suspicious, but I thought I was being paranoid] I explained my situation to him. He asked me for my name and to spell it which I did. He asked for my address which I said at a normal pace because I thought he was reading it off a screen from a list of people with similar name to mine. He was writing it down. Then he asked me for my credit card number so he could refund my account. I then hung up due to being even more suspicious. I called my bank. Was informed the charge was from Apple. Duh! I should have realized that! But now I was positive my suspicions were correct. Beware!

Bad UX and flow. Install app, open app, see subscribe screen, enter email, pay with Apple Pay, click Get Started, see login error. At no point does it ask you to create a login or tell you it created one. It doesn’t even ask you to log in before it shows the login error. After dismissing the error you see the number prefilled and one character of the password prefilled. What password? Oh it’s in my email. It’s a 4 digit number. Not very secure. Stored in their system in a way that they can know your password because when you use the forgot password option it emails the password to you. This means it’s not properly encrypted in their system. And emailing passwords is not great protocol. Overall the app seems to send faxes, but the flow is probably the worst I’ve seen and the abysmal security standards are a concern.

Mostly great. Great app- so wonderful to have the ability to send a fax from the phone. Biggest problem is when sending more than one fax in a row, with different attachments. Even though, I have included a different page to send, the image of the previous fax still remains as the attachment. I try logging in and off the app, but doesn't seem to do the trick. In order to send the fax with the new attachment, I need to turn device (phone, iPad) off and on and re-sign in to the app, It's really annoying- app gets 3 stars, overall Efax has been a great service.

I Love efax!. This app is great! I've been using it for almost a year now and I use it for business and personal. Very versatile, I can take pics of docs using my phone or iPad and I also use the app on my desktop or scan and fax from desktop. I send faxes from all over, office, home, for friends & family. It's made my life much easier without having to go to my local office supply store and pay outrageous fees for faxing. I will say a year ago it wasn't as good as it is now, if you tried it a year ago and didn't like it I recommend giving it another try. This is a scam. Do not pay for this app. I needed to send an important fax late in the evening. I bought this app and it charged my 16 dollars, then did not activate my account. When I called the customer service number, it connected me to a facility trying to sell me on a free reward I had just won since I was the lucky caller. The person spoke very poor English and said he would fix my app as soon as I accepted my free gift card. I told him I didn’t want a free gift card and just wanted this app fixed. He then promptly hung up on me. I tried to call back, got another solicitation which asked if I was over 50. I selected no and the call again hung up on me. So i was not able to get the fax app to work, canceled the subscription right away, but they still charged me 16 dollars. I ended up having to drive to work to ultimate complete this fax. Stay away!!!!

Would not function. I am but a simple person and format appears to be pretty simple. Unfortunately on my first attempts to send a fax from email attachments in PDF form, multiple attempts were “sent” but never went thru and never received the email to confirm sent, fax machine never received. After frustration I attempted to contact customer support. In the prompts I entered my fax number and when the automated response was incorrect, I re-entered my fax number and it still repeated it back wrong, I gave up. Unsubscribed this app and guess the cost of the subscription will have to be chalked up to lessons learned. Complete failure. Platform use to be great years ago when I had it but,wow! Not impressed.

New Customer. I just started using eFax yesterday on a trail basis, the setup was simple as 123, I immediately started faxing without any hang ups I was in a desperate situation that I get this fax out ASAP, all my files were on my computer, so I utilized eFax from my desktop. Then I found out about the app I downloaded it and I been eFaxing from my iPhone ever since it’s a great program and app so far, so good, will keep you all posted! The near progress will determine if I keep the program beyond trail period! Happy in MICHIGAN

Works pretty good. The receipt and delivery of the faxes is good. My main concern is the time it takes to be delivered, especially if you are waiting on the phone for it to be received. If that were to be improved and the cost for heavy usage contained in a set price, I would bump the rating to a 5. It is very frustrating to have to wait on the phone for someone to receive a fax before you can do anything else and no one likes to pay a lot of money because they are heavy users.

If I could give zero I would.. This app is perfect. Worked great!! only one reason I CANT go back to using it. I did the one month free subscription for this app and 2 others. And used all three for the month to see which one I liked best. After the month I hated the other 2 options. This app was perfect. I go onto my subscriptions on my phone and I press to pay for the 16$ a month. Then go to the app. It won’t let me sign in. So I say forgot my fax number. It sends me an email that I don’t have a fax number....I tried everything. Deleting the app and downloading again. I tried going to their website where they won’t let me unless I pay another 16$ and $10 fee on top of that. I can’t even make a new account! Makes no sense.

Customer since 2009 Great Value & Service. We have used efax before people knew about this method of fax. I have not had an issue with Efax. When I have concerns the customer Service always works it out. You literally can not beat the value. We don’t send a large amount of fax each month. But if you need a fax, I highly recommend. When I’m on the go, I never need my computer to send a fax. (Plus). Customer since 2009.

Mobile Nurse Practitioner limited…. I have a mobile practice so I was in need of a way to be able to send in billing sheets, medication orders, and patient information in real time. The eFax app was a great way to accomplish that. However… On more than one occasion the app somehow crashed leaving me unable to send faxes. I was forced to going back to faxing information from the local facility and needing to wait for the confirmation, thereby putting multiple delays in my already very busy day. When it’s working, it’s a great asset. But so far I have been waiting FOUR days for the problem to be resolved after reporting to customer service by phone and email. We’ll be seeking out other options if this issue continues to happen.

They cancelled service but kept my subscription running.. My credit card was declined, they cancelled my service without warning immediately without giving me chance to introduce my new credit card number. However when new method of payment was introduced. The subscription continued. Apple and eFax blame each other and tell me to go to the other for refund. Apple can only refund 2 months and eFax can’t locate a method of payment. efax customer service has connectivity issues and they can’t hear you half the time and they get disconnected half the time. So stay away from Apple subscription. Headache.

Changing fax info. Maybe there is a way to do this, but if so, it wasn’t made easy. After finishing the fax, I wanted to go back and check the info provided and check to see the amount of credit I had, but in order to go back I had to cancel everything I did, including attachment. Same thing with attachment, there is an edit button but when I hit it to edit, the only option was to delete the attachment and start over. Why is there an edit button if you can’t edit? It should be just a delete button since that’s the only option you have. Thanks

Excellent Fax. I have been using this service for more than a year now and it always comes in handy. For the few businesses and people that require having a fax machine, having use of this app helps to make it an ease to get documents faxed using my iPhone, iPad or MacBook. This app has been a highly useful tool for an entrepreneur like myself. I'd recommend to anyone who may need to send faces on the go. I've sent faxes from the comfort of my bed, a plane and even the beach. If you're a business owner, and don't have a fax, I recommend this app.

Long Term User: Extremely Satisfied Still. I have been using this app for nearly three years now and it’s just gotten better with each update. I especially love the latest version which has made mobile faxing a simple and reliable source of communication with conveniences only eFax can offer; and believe me, I’ve looked at some different options only to find this app to be the most consistent in quality and overall efficiency. I give it six stars if I could but alas the limitations are predetermined for the ranking system so I hope that this five star review will do for now to get others to use it as it offers features that others will fail in! Absolutely Unreliable. With my business I am constantly on the go and I need an easy, reliable option to send and receive docs w my clients. This is far from either. Whether the error message is fax interrupted, or difficulties processing, or a busy signal when an outside number attempts to send a fax to me, the only certainty is uncertainty. It’s a poor reflection on my business and that just can’t happen. Oh and just wait for the monthly double-billing. That’s always a fun phone call to make every month. Do you remember that feeing of your last day of school before summer break when you ran out the door, into the sun, feeling free? That’s how I feel today after cancelling this service.

Terrible customer service and software. I set up an account they sent a link to confirm my email. I continue to get errors that they cannot verify my email so after 20 minutes I went in and canceled the subscription which was supposed to be free for several days …30 minutes later my Apple account was charged… I have contacted them regarding getting a refund because it was their companies error not mine …after being on “instant “ chat for 20 minutes I was finally told that I had to dispute through iTunes…after that comment when I questioned it …they instantly close the chat, so I cannot respond anymore.

Everything’s been great just a little confused. Hey there!! This app has been the most up front about its Payments when I started looking for fax in my iPhone the only question I have is I already sent some faxes and got the email confirmation that they were successfully sent. I then got another email a day later saying my account wasn’t set up now I’m confused, do I have an account or not bc I def paid! I’m sure we will clear it up but other than that the app is super simple straight forward and easy to use!

Works well, expensive. Free is not FREE.. Free 30 program turns into automated billing. Unless you online chat or call to opt out. This is buried in customer agreement, so you need to read the agreement before getting hammered with huge bill. Software works nice. Unless you are a person that faxes and receives faxes a lot. This is a 5 Star product. If you are someone like me and only fax maybe a dozen a year. This product is way too expensive and you are better off getting a different pay as you use program.

Make sure to cancel free trial on time. I highly do not recommend this app/company. I missed cancelling my free trial and was charged for the service. When I called to cancel they told me they don’t have a refund policy and would not refund me the charge. I wanted to cancel bc I no longer need the service and they tried every thing to try and get me to stay for a smaller fee. I don’t need this service! So then I had them cancel it so I don’t get charged anymore and now for the month that I have PAID FOR, I don’t have access. Like I said, I don’t need the service but if it is completed canceled, why can they not refund me? Unacceptable and I definitely would not do business with this company again.

Slow app TERRIBLE time cancelling subscription. The app is pretty slow and not very good. Fine. However, when I called to cancel my subscription I was told it wouldn't be possible because the customer service agent wanted to give me a two month free trial. I said I don't want a free trial and argued with the guy for five minutes until he finally agreed to cancel it. It was really weird. So then I sat on hold for another five minutes before he came back and said it was cancelled. Either their customer service is overaggressive or management really holds cancellations over their heads, either way good luck cancelling your service when you're done with it.

EFax is so convenient!!!. I have a IPhone 6s Plus and I’m have to be able to still use this app!!! It’s done it’s job so far. They give you a free trial for a month; then after that it’s $17 monthly. Not bad if you don’t have a fax close by and need to jam quick. It’s totally worth the download. All you “on the go” fax savvy people out there. You definitely need this in your life! No worries, and all through your handset! Never a disconnect! Download it now. Trust me! You won’t be sorry. #Proms

Program works great. Service and billing not so much.. I haven't used the App but used it years ago via computer and they were good, however, the billing practices are unfortunately very sneaky and I'd even say unethical. I have been billed the last 5 years for the service I thought I had subscribed (initially thinking it was not an auto bill/renew) for a year. I never was received any receipts when the transactions went through on a credit card I rarely use anymore for anything other than balance transfers. So my fault in a lot of ways but they wont even pro-rate the rest of this year and refund me. decent product with scammy services. I won't ever recommend them to anyone.

Long time user. I have been using the Efax app for four years and we love the app. It’s so easy and it works great. I have never had any problems or outages ever. They even changed my fax number to a local number after we moved twice and without a charge. It’s so convenient to be able to access my faxes right from my phone instead of having to wait until I would get home to look at the fax. Then I’m able to print out the fax for my next days work. Previously before Efax I kept a home phone just so I could have a fax, but I had to wait until I got home to get them. And do I have to mention the cost of that home phone just to be able to have the fax. I used to pay $22 a month for that home phone plus you know they add taxes & fees, now I only pay about half that and I’m charged once a year on my business credit card.

eFax to the Rescue. eFax has been a life-saver for me every since I stopped subscribing to a carrier for telephone services that did nothing but allow spam faxes to hit my office fax. Then I came across eFax when I needed to send an urgent fax one day after disconnecting my telephone number in favor of a VoIP Number. eFax was secure and easy to use and I have been a customer for the past 3-years. Of course there are many other alternatives out there, but eFax always delivers and gives me instant feedback on when each fax is sent plus all my faxes are filed on-line at eFax for easy retrieval whenever I need to pull it up together with its attachments. Disappointed with app. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this app. I had 4 problems. I have a iPhone 8 which the app would not send faxes from thru the app. Spent 30 minutes with customer support (they do have great customer support....spent a lot of time with them, several times) and they had a work around thru email. 2) my fax thru email went somewhere (it didn’t bounce), just not to where I was sending it. Since I send medical reports to an insurance company, this is very worrying. The test email did get to the insurance company so I know I had the right number. 3) I kept receiving someone else’s daily faxes. Tried to work w/ customer support on this but they couldn’t fix problem. Ended up calling the business sending out work orders to one of their providers to get fixed. 4) when I was setting up app, it waned my credit card number before I could use the app. It immediately charged my credit card despite the 30 day free trial. The app said this was an Apple problem and vise versa. Apple fixed the problem. So, app works semi well on computer but not on iPhone. Great customer service (which I used a lot). No free trial. Faxes go to other places

Didapointed at lost info. Like service most of the time however there are hang ups and catastrophic loss of information if you accidentally let your account t lapse due to busy schedules or other oversights . In those events your entire fax history and account transaction logs are immediately erSed and I retrievable. Unless you sent yourself a fax copy with every fax you send to someone else, you are in jeopardy of having all logs and I do permanently deleted even if paying to have your account restored and pay all back payments owed. While any company would co sided storing info long term on a closed account as a serious problem possibly, storing that info offline for a few months. Say 6 and recouping any lost revenue and restoring the data would be a great win all the way around. This huge weakness in data integrity is a horrific detrimental system at eFax that I hope they will reconsider. I will be looking for a different vendor that can provide more security for long term data safety so that I will never be still more manually culling my incoming faxes from emails to reconstruct my logs and fax files, forget the sent faxes, they are forever lost and logs are near impossible to try to recreate.

eFax is a great service. eFax services really work for you me. Easy to send and receive feom bith my computer, laptop, iPhone and iPad. I get successful transmission notices on sent items and received fax on those sent here. I send and receive in pdf format. No machines to buy. Includes a dedicated fax number that belongs to me. Highly recommend. Tax deductible. No equipment to break or maintain, no supplies needed. Great customer service and support if ans when needed.

Deplorable. I was never able to fax anything. It always said they were having technical difficulties. I tried to cancel the first day but after waiting 30 minutes for an available rep, I had better things to do. One month later, I get my first charge of $17! Of course I was dreading calling them back and waited too long. I phoned them 30+ minutes ago and am still on hold as I write this, with no available reps to “chat cancel”. Who has time for this?! How long do I wait to speak with someone. Horrible experience! I would think this is a scam but they apparently are rated 3.5 stars??? Am I in the twilight zone??? Ugh!!!

Horrible!!!. Avoid them, they will offer you services $5 per month for 10 outbound and 30 inbound pages, try to send fax with more than one page in my case it was 3 pages, they hit me with additional charges because they said it took more seconds to fax it than allowed, how in the world can i control how long it takes for them to fax a page, before they start talking about quality and resolution i send documents 3 pages of documents, and if 10 pages need to be in resolution that no one will be able to read it why do i pay for it nor need service like this, next time they gonna say it took a hour to fax one page and charge $100 for it, just do yourself a favor and avoid them, there is tones of other options

SHADY SCAM. Yes, this app works just fine to send fax. However, they make it impossible for you to cancel. They claim to not have your credit card number on file. They continue to charge you and when you're locked out of your account, they give your account to another user all while still charging you. They have you "verify your account" by emailing their "tech support" and while trying to "test email" them they hang up on you. Very impatient, snobby customer support agent who isn't helpful at all and doesn't want to get penalized for causing the company a lost "customer." Stop charging me, I don't use this service anymore and I have already cancelled.

Sent 7-page fax for free to the IRS. I signed up for a free account so I could fax some tax documents to the IRS without having to leave my house. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezey. Well, kinda. I had more issues combining my document into 1 PDF than I had sending the fax. But I pay for the Adobe suite so once I got it sorted out it was relatively painless from there. FYI -Sign up via iTunes for an easier cancellation process. If you sign up via iTunes, you can cancel in the App Store, but, if you sign up via a computer/website, you have to call their hotline to cancel. That’s a big NOPE from me. I think it’s grimey to not let you cancel the same way you sign up. Pretty sure it’s illegal in some places to require a phone call for cancellation, but I probably just made that up because it should be a law everywhere. P.S. Don’t forget to cancel your subscription once you receive confirmation of receipt.

Sketchy cancellation. Free trial turned into 5 months of charges. Wish I could rate it lower. Signed up for a free trial in July through the App Store to try the service out. Sent one fax and cancelled through App Store. 5 months later I see charges on my account for the months after cancellation in one lump sum. Contacted customer service and was told no record of my cancellation is on file. Explained situation to the rep and was told I and the App Store cancellation didn’t close my account and I needed to call because I signed up directly with EFax (which I DID NOT). After being told I wouldn’t be refunded because i needed to wait on a call review I told the rep i felt like I was getting the run around and was told that they’re in a busy call center and don’t have time to stay on the line. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was turned down and told I’d be contacted when they had time. I’d never recommend this service to anyone. Still no response and already wrote a complaint to BBB.

Bait & switch. So I needed to fax something and upon searching on the App Store I was recommended this app at the very top. I usually read the reviews on other apps and I wish I had. I was shown I could use the app for free for a few days but then after clicking next, it asks me to confirm payment. So I figured it would be the same as other free trial apps. The app immediately withdrew $18 from my account and I was not expecting this because I have other bills I have to pay at the moment. It’s very mean and a shame on the developers of this app. Shame on you! I now need to wait and see if Apple will refund the money. Also, I only needed to fax one thing in my entire life. The developers should change the way the app works because of this. We don’t need to fax something every single day of the month, It’s stupid.

Suddenly stopped working- company provides no assistance. So disappointed. Have been using this app for a few years without problems. Now suddenly it has stopped allowing me to log in. The only advice I’ve been given from e Fax about the ‘unknown error’ message I keep getting, is Unistall, reinstall,wait till the app refreshes. I’ve done this several times and it’s still not working after four days. I’m looking for an alternative app and will have to, unfortunately, unsubscribe from eFax.. I’m not prepared to pay for no service.

Excellent. Great app to complement our efax account! Can use on the run and is so much easier than the traditional hard copy faxing - efax has been really effective for our business. Can easily fax documents using the app by opening in Dropbox and attaching and love that it syncs my iPhone contacts using the contacts feature. Love this app!!!

Waste of time.. They bought out faxmate that worked perfectly with any fax machine but guess what...same big problem with efax....it will not communicate with a digital (ie any standard fax machine) but only an analogue (efax officially informed me of this). BUT did you know analogue faxes are no longer in use, they were phased out in 1990s !! Almost all offices have a digital fax, and guess what, it will not receive efax faxes. I have had to throw away $300 business cards. Waste of my time completely. Not only this, it took them 4-5 days to reply.....their customer support is slow. My initial excitement with efax has turned to utter disgust. False advertising.

Deliberate - want to cancel? You need to call them and ask. Firstly, sent a test fax 3 times. After 15 minutes wait EACH time, says it can't be sent because of something on our end. Tried it a million ways. Put it in once with another app and it went through in less than 5 minutes on first go. So I went to cancel my trial - obviously not impressed. Lo and behold- Really wonder how many people they nipped this way... **Beware if you're signing up to their trial** Not like most other services where the trial means should you wish to cancel, it is a touch of a few buttons. The website says you need to call them but I assume written message in email is legally suffice. Regardless, this is almost certain a deliberate design to make cancellation difficult and discouraging/east to slip the mind and forget, etc. quite deceptive. What else is the reason if you can UPGRADE with a touch of a button but there is no avail to cancel or discontinue use without needing to manually request from them. Make sure you write it explicitly state that effective immediately, I do not give permission for any charge and hence would constitute an unauthorised charge under credit law. Should an individual wish to cancel the membership in 30 days or less, even within hours of this threshold, s/he is entitled as the 'trial' period illustrate to the user before signing up without needing 'approval' from the merchant. If automatic upgrade is possible, so should be automatic cancellation.

Fax viewer could be more intuitive. The app does exactly as it is intended to, and it’s quick to load and easy to use.

Complete Scam. As soon as I made an account it banned me from accessing my account and started charging me almost $20 a month. Every time I try to login it says ‘account is temporarily suspended’ and even tho it was suspended it kept on charging me for no reason. I tried to get help but it was worthless. Wasted probably $60 on something I can’t even use. When I finally got help they told me to fax them my details. How the hell am I going to fax them my details when I can’t even access the account I’m paying hard earned money for? Do I have to buy a fax machine just to cancel my online fax account? Scam.

I opened a 14 day trial account with Efax that required credit card, I tried cancelling after 13 days - they ask you to do it via online account, but it then says “unable to complete, use chat.” If you use chat, it says to use online avoiding. No one answers their phone. I’ve had to request a chargeback with my credit card.

Don’t subscribe to this app. I did and boy do I regret it. Even if you cancel through Apple, eFax will continue billing you and when you contact them, you either get no answer or are told to contact Apple. If you contact Apple, they tell you that the service is cancelled and no amount is due.

Scam. I tried the one month free. They charged me during the free trial. After 2 weeks, I cancelled my subscription. At the end of the month, they charged me even my subscription was cancelled. They charged me fir two months and I never had the free trial.

Says it’s free but once launch 1 fax, you get charged. When installing the app, it gives the perception that it’s free as it does not state the charge as not being charged, yet! This is false advertising. Why would you download a software in order to not use it...it is not my definition of being free.

Did not send fax attachments. I downloaded for the free trial. I sent a fax of 2 pages with cover. I attached the 2 pages pdf as the content of the fax. I received a confirmation that the fax has been sent, but only 1 page, the cover. What a scam, or crappy app.

Please fix. FaceID just goes on a loop over and over again. The main screen is just like blank instead of actions. Overall a super disorganized app and not what I expected from eFax.

Fax on your phone. Great app for those that still believe in faxing documents. With everything being scanned and emailed today. Some clients still prefer to fax. Thanks to efax I keep my clients happy and it allows me to utilize my phone instead of having to have a fax machine, toner, paper and those costly drums. Easy to use, Haven't had any connectivity issues. Receiving and sending faxes is a snap.

App is Fine, Canceling is a Pain. The app works just as advertised, but they make it difficult to cancel. I had signed up for the 14 day free trial, and ultimately decided I didn’t need the service. They won’t let you cancel online through your account, you either have to call or do their online chat. The representative spent the entire conversation trying to convince me to keep the plan instead of canceling like I asked. What should have been as simple as clicking a button to cancel turned into a 20 minute waste of time.

To the rescue. I urgently needed to send a fax; my fax machine stopped printing. The usual first aid didn’t work! I texted my son who quickly replied EFax. He was on a call and couldn’t help me navigate E Fax. Well, he didn’t have to! I was able to set it up quickly and successfully and voila! The urgent fax was sent!

Much better than old fax line. EFax is much more convenient than the old way of faxing. And don’t need a second phone line. My only complaint is that you can’t tell anything about the fax without printing or opening. We get a lot of junk and it’s tedious to go through them all every day to sort them out.

-5 stars if possible. They refuse to cancel my subscription. I didn’t sign up for anything. I had to download the app to see who was trying to debit my bank account (I keep my bank account locked, thankfully) so I could email them, and after emailing them they said I have to pay in order to have my account canceled. Shady. I’m not paying you anything. I want my account canceled immediately and never see a notification of you attempting to take money from me again. I will change this review once that is completed.

Don’t waste your time. I needed a fax sent with personal info, and only received a fax sent notice. Never received a “delivered” notification, and the fax details were gone from my “sent@ box. Their customer support is a joke, tried to upsell me on their trash product instead of addressing the issue. I used one of the competitors, and got my delivered confirmation within 10 minutes. Now this awful company has my personal info. ZERO stars!

Garbage customer service !. In January the app didn’t work asked the rep to cancel it over the phone. Turns out the rep didn’t cancel it and they kept charging me through now which is April ! He unlinked it from my phone subscription so it want even visible in iTunes! They stated because I don’t have the reps confirmation number I am out of luck. Wasn’t able to send or receive a single fax with their system. Idiot didn’t even include a confirmation Number after I canceled it today and asked for one specifically.

Convenient and useful. EFax has been the go to online fax service for many years. The continuous improvement and added features of their services and app keeps me in step with the fast moving operational tempo of today's business environment. I am effective anywhere, anytime, as long as I have connectivity.

Worst Customer Service. I have had the service for quite some time. I signed up using iTunes and have paid that way since the service started. They suspended my account saying that I failed to make a payment. I had the receipt from Apple and the debit from my card. They didn’t want to see any of it. They told me I had to go directly through them and provide a credit card since I failed to make a payment. There are too many services offered through iTunes. I am moving on!!!!

Better than Nextiva. I know two things: 1) efax and this app have been much, much more user friendly and convenient than Nextiva (another online fax agency that is cheaper but also less user-friendly), and 2) efax will not stop asking me to leave a review every time I open the app, so hopefully this will resolve that, my one issue with them.

The Best eFax Service. I've been using eFax for three years and very happy with them. Unfortunately there are too many companies and business professional who still use fax so this is why I have eFax. It's easy and fast to use. You do need an account with eFax so go check them out.

eFax app is 5 stars, hands down.. Just finished sending my first fax using the eFax app for IOS! It was absolutely so easy, and so fabulous!! I highly recommend! GAME CHANGER! Fax:send and received PLUS EMAIL. My title sums this great app! You get a number sign up for free trial or $20 a month for UNLIMITED faxes! As fast as 2-5 minutes on my experience! Document is literal pdf, great quality, I faxed documents and even a medical script received at hospital within 2 minutes! Great job people y’all deserve to be on every social media outlet!

Don’t waist your time. After opening a trial account and never being able to receive a fax. I was randomly locked out of the account. After spending 10 minutes on hold waiting for customer service I was connected with somebody reading responses off of a computer screen. That person then notified me that they were on able to assist meWith unlocking the account and needed me to email customer service. Which is who I was speaking to on the phone. Meanwhile waiting to receive a fax that had been sent a day before I missed my response time and it cost me thousands

Alright app; no free trial through iTunes. I downloaded the app and signed up through iTunes, thinking I was getting the 7-day free trial advertised on the eFax website. Signing up through iTunes apparently does not offer a free trial and bills you a full month. Lesson learned, but wanted others to be aware. App seemed to work fine, though I don’t have any confirmation from the party I was faxing to be sure.

Updated app not working.. The new app does not update the sent fax pages. When you click on the latest fax sent it shows faxes from 5 years ago. Resetting or removing app and reinstalling does not help. App was working great before they design doing and improved app.

Love it. It’s so convenient and easy to fax from your phone. I’ve had fax machines and they always broke or didn’t work, plus it takes up space. Not having to wait to get home to fax or finding a location, makes it that much easier to do it from your phone. Any time any day from anywhere.

Perfect for a traveling salesman. I’m a Medicare Insurance agent who visits clients at their homes, and if we fill out an application during the appointment i can afterward sit at a starbucks, scan the application with my phone and send the fax in a matter of minutes! You get an email confirmation and everything! Its the best i love it and it makes my life so much easier. Thanks eFax!

No draft save. For the most part the app is okay so far. I had to re-input fax information after having to check on some info to include in the fax, because it logged me out. Thankfully I saved my message text before I moved to another area to check my files. I suggest having a draft section added to help with this issue.

Don’t sign up for this service. They make it easy to sign up for the free trial, but cancelling it took a 15 minute phone call, entering all my information, put on hold for 10 minutes, then finally getting a representative to say my account wasn’t active, give all my information again, put on hold 2 more times and asked for my confirmation number for the cancellation 5 times before it was finally given to me. When they make it that tedious to get your money every month, it’s not a business I’ll ever use again and happy to advise others not to as well.

Scammers. My plan was 150 in 150 out. I sent 70 faxes within 14 days. They said my 70 faxes were really 308!! Triple charged me for the month of December! I said refund my money and they refused. I said okay I will dispute it with my bank because my records show 70 faxes. I also had an account balance of $4/5. I said cancel my account & refund my balance. The rep stated you don’t have a balance we keep it when the account closes. THEN.....hung up on me! Never have I experienced such rude unprofessional and unscrupulous business activity. Filed a dispute with my bank and with the BBB. Do NOT USE this app or do business with these scam artists!!!!

Do not use. My lawyer required that I sign up for this service to communicate with her. Faxes don’t always go through. No way of knowing until your lawyer calls you a week later wondering where the documents are. Customer service not helpful. I began to receive phishing emails right after I signed up for the service, my personal information is probably being sold overseas somewhere. I don’t trust the security of this service. If your lawyer requires that you use this service - get a new lawyer.

WORST APP EVER!!!. IF THERE WAS A NO STAR I WOULD PICK THAT I STEAD. I purchased this app they charged my account. i chose my fax number and everything. I was asked to log in when I went into the account but never got a log in. It says it can’t locate my info. I called customer service and billing was transferred a million times they said called back when my information was correct which it always was. Currently they have me sitting on hold for the sales sept. WHY DO I WANT TO TALK TO THE SALES DEPT IF YOU ALREADY TOOK MY MONEY! I just want to be able to use the fax or my money back. DONT PURCHASE THIS APP ANY OTHER FAX ONE IS BETTER.

Reliable. I have been using eFax for years. I didn’t realize that it was also an app that I could use on my smart phone. It was quick and easy to send a fax without even having to do any scanning or anything like that. It was perfect.

Horrible experience!. The service was sketchy at best. When I cancelled the service I had to jump thru hoops. Don't cancel via email, because they won't cancel it. Then contacted them again via chat and their 5 levels of verification to only be told I had to cancel with Apple first. After I got that accomplished (which took about 15 minutes), I contacted the same agent and had to go thru all their verifications again. I finally got it cancelled after over an hour of messing around and being billed for an additional month.

EFax is the best. I’ve had E-Fax for several years now and I still find it to be a Must Have in my day to day business. Some months I don’t use it much and then other times I’m using it every time I turn around. For such a small cost each month, I find it invaluable. I’d definitely recommend it.

Tried to use once, got charged for 4 months. I tried to use this app once to no avail, I couldn’t get it to work for the life of me. When I went to cancel my free trial the same day that I began it, everything looked fine on my end. I checked my credit card statement a few months later and found out I was charged $17 for four months. I finally contacted Apple support and they helped me remove the subscription via my iPhone as opposed to with the company. Don’t waste your money with this app, go to kinkos!

BEWARE:. I have never left a review for an app before, but I can’t let this slide. Very misleading - talks of the free trial online led me to believe the same would happen on the iOS version. I believed this ESPECIALLY when the words “free activation” were cleverly placed at the top of the first screen I saw when opening the app. When I found out they had charged me, I immediately called customer support where I was told I “didn’t know how to read” and essentially that it was my fault. I am beyond upset with this entire situation. I highly suggest against ANYONE using this service.

Don’t bother. For anyone interested in their free trial, use anything else. We live in 2020. Any business model that requires you to call or chat with an online rep in order to cancel your trial is unethical. They make you wait 10+ minutes to get connected with anyone online. After that, they ask you dozens of questions with a minimum of 2-3 minutes in between each response. It’s a dirty business model that clearly preys on people who don’t have 30+ minutes to spare during the day

Constantly sends the wrong files as fax. Free trial isn’t. The free trial isn’t free. I was charged the full price. Currently trying to contact support to get this fixed Had an issue where it will select the wrong file to fax. First time I thought it was my mistake. Tried to send again and it sent the same file despite me double checking and picking the file from a different folder. Had to email myself the file to fax and use the web version to properly send the correct file

Zero star. DONT USE this company. SCAM. The app didn’t work, couldn’t send the fax. When i cancelled, they started billing me $16 per month. Billing dept keeps saying my acct active. When I called the co, rep told me my acct is not active. Billing dept keeps sending the bills. Vicious cycle. Reported to eFax executives, BBB, regulators and Apple. Update: it’s a lie that u just need to unsubscribe on iTunes - I did and I sent email to company as well on 5/5/19. Now they are harassing me with emails with bill and tell to call customer service. I did but the billing dept keeps billing me and saying my acct is active. DONT USE THIS SERVICE !!!!!!

Don’t waste your time. I tried to fax 10 pages. It didn’t work. Tried again doing 1 page at a time. Some went through and some didn’t. Was then charged an overcharged fee of $10 because I attempted it, even though half didn’t go through. Customer service said I attempted to fax 190 pages and that’s where the overcharge fee came from. They refused to help me with a refund for the pages that failed to go through. Find a regular fax machine and don’t waste your time!

Easiest Way To Fax.. I love this app. I have never faxed anything in my life but it has always seemed like a different part of the work to me that I have never explored nor wanted to. This app makes me comfortable with faxing documents and it is super easy to do so. It’s almost set up like sending an email, which is just as easy so thank you.

An absolute scam. TRY, just try to cancel after your trial! I did and it took a lot of googling and following link after link to find the way to actually cancel and when I did, because I didn’t get a confirmation email, they did not complete the cancellation. Two months later, I finally noticed I was still being charged. Despite never using their services in that timeframe, they insisted that I was in the wrong and paid a hefty price to send one fax. DO NOT USE THIS APP! Their are so many other non-scam apps out there.

Convenient and user friendly. Our small business has been using eFax for many years. eFax is reliable and is easy to use on all of our desktop and mobile devices. It saves us time everyday. We highly recommended this product for home or business use.

Doesn’t work. I thought eFax would be a trusted app because I have used them on a desk top for years. Not so much through my phone. Sent a fax several days ago, and it wouldn’t go through. Didn’t tell Me the reason just “not sent”. Tried again today and it did not send the attachment. I checked that PDF WAS attached before sending too. It only sent the cover page. Cover page is great but I didn’t need to send a cover page, I needed to send a DOCUMENT. It did have the ease of use, that is why I gave it 2 stars.

Getting faxes for a hospice and misleading pricing. First, they mislead you to think it’s free for a period of time, but all they’re waiving is a $10 extra fee. You will IMMEDIATELY be charged $17. Then there is the question of how soon they reassign these numbers. The same day I started using it, I began getting faxes for a hospice/home health care (referrals for patients/HIPPA concern). Guessing someone had the number programmed in their system. I can’t reach the intended company because their phone is out of service and I’ve so far been unable to get hold of the many people faxing TO the number. That said, it worked for the fax I needed to get. Will be canceling as soon as I’ve gotten my $17’s worth.

SCAM! BEWARE! SHADY!!!!. *Update! The email they give you to respond if you’ve written a negative review is FAKE! Shady business!!!* I have been trying to cancel my account. Currently on the phone for the second time to get through. So far, I’ve been waiting for 28 minutes. RIDICULOUS. I have sent two emails and tried doing an online chat with a representative twice now. Every time I say that I want to cancel my account, the representative does not respond. I’m about 5 minutes away from reporting them to my credit card company.

Real timesaver!. So far this app is working as advertised and although some people say it's pricey, I would disagree- I was spending far more time and money going to the office store and paying them to fax things for me. It's actually saved me quite a bit. Relatively easy to use too! No complaints at all😎

Efax. I’ll give it a 5 because I’ve always received what I needed to receive. There were a few glitches early on but that was probably because I was not doing something correctly. I get about two fax’s a day which is very old school but it is what it is.

No longer a good company or service. I have used eFax since they began. They were always a little quirky but I was happy to overlook the difficulties in exchange for service when it worked. The e peri eve I just had from attempting a little support was so horrid I am looking for a new ap. Really disappointed and happy to pay a couple bucks more for an American based tech support and ap system. This person was so rude I feel sorry for them. They clearly hate people and their job. I hope something good changes for him and he is able to find a job in alignment with his capacities.

Fabulous!. What a great invention! This app has saved me time & frustration many times! All you have to do is take a pic of your document(s), open the app, sign in, put in the fax #, attach the photo(s) of your document(s), & send!!! You’re done! No cumbersome fax machine necessary! No running to a store to fax a document! It’s SO EASY!!!

Easy and fast!. Other apps gave me issues but this one was simple and easy to use and quickly sent confirmation email letting me know fax was sent successfully. Highly recommend and you won’t need to test out a million apps.

Ok but….. So I decided to try E-fax because I thought it would be more convenient for me so I wouldn’t have to drive to my office just to fax a document I can now just fax from my phone but all of a sudden it stopped working I’ve called customer service and she tried to figure it out but couldn’t so she said she would call me back but never did.

Awesome. First off, I’m a stay at home house wife and mother. I needed to fax a few documents and wasn’t able to go some place to do so, this app really came in handy and was extremely easy to use and sent everything without any issues! I would give is 13 stars if I could!

Slow, buggy and not user-friendly. The app is sooooo slow. And every time you go out of the app, for example to take a better picture of the document, it makes you sign in again. Even after I signed back in, when I pressed the add attachment button, nothing would happen. It seems like it would be a good app if it was faster, if it didn’t sign you out every single time (not even my abnk or credit card sites do this) and if it fixed the bugs.
