Needs better integration with iOS. I had this installed on my iPad for <5 min.; if I could give it a zero rating, I would. I was looking for a .dwg viewer for some files provided for my review; I already had an Autodesk acct. so this seemed like a natural fit. The trial period is only 7 days, and for the casual user, the subscription rate is too high...one strike against it. The biggest problem is that it doesn’t play well with any of the normal iOS infrastructure. You can’t open a file from the local iOS file system or iCloud; the only way to get a file from another app into the AutoCAD app is to transfer it through a third-party provider (Dropbox, Box, GoogleDrive, or OneDrive)...if you’re at a site with a slow connection (or no connection at all) you’re out of luck. This app was a non-starter before I could even try to open the file.

Several functions have been turned off by developer. I purchased the app in order to fulfill a portion of a contract. I downloaded the app only to find out after contacting AutoCAD help center that the keyboard has been turned off because they are developing a new product. The unfortunate thing is... I basically paid twice for the use of the app, once here and once at the AutoCAD website. AutoCAD should refund my money along with several other people, just search for “Autocad mobile keyboard does not work” and you will find numerous other people with issues. I was forced to go with ArcSite.... it works perfectly.

Intuitive and easy to use. I’m an aerospace engineer and use full up AutoCAD. With AutoCAD there is always a learning curve but I found this easy to use on the iPad Pro. I logged in with my existing license and all of my data and drawings were there and ready from my OneDrive. I will likely not use this for creating advanced drawings, but for quick edits etc on the go it’s pretty great. I like it better than the AutoCAD web version also.

Not fully compatible... no response from developers... completely useless. iPad OS Supports USB Drives. I have an adapter and a USB Drive with drawing files on it. I have to share the file to AutoCAD and then it’s uploaded/synced automatically. I don’t want my drawings in the cloud... I want to edit them from USB drive while I am on the go and then I can drop them on my pc and continue at the office. No cloud... just between devices. As it stands, I do not consider this fully compatible with iPadOS and iOS 13 when one of the KEY features was USB support. It is completely useless because I will not put my drawings on the cloud... I sent an email asking if there were any plans to add that feature and got no response at all. I sent that email in September (right after iPadOS got out of beta). Considering I have been using Autodesk products like AutoCAD since the 2004 release and Inventor 8/10, I am really disappointed in the lack of support

Embarrassing for kids & engineers. This program is sad. I can’t even draw a line or circle. Kids use real AutoCAD in High Schools and you can’t even do anything with this. Completely useless on iPad. Think lite. I’m just trying to let you know that no one even wants anything to do with AutoCAD. This should be a free workshop for 30 days. I’m deleting this app because it’s worthless and I won’t pay min of 4 dollars to be your information about how undeveloped this is. Sad, sad day for meetings and I’m not pleased with loading up models. I just use GrabCad. Slow and annoying just like UG and SolidWorks users were thinking. Free to use. Please fix

Almost LESS than useful.. I feel like this app used to have some useful functionality but my memory is hazy. If there is any review on here that says they actually use this app it must be fake. I am and architect and use the Mac version daily. The mobile version is included in my subscription so I thought I would I revisit this app after a long time away to possibly use it for field measuring existing houses for use in drawing up remodels. I couldn’t draw anything accurately much less a single room. I tried to even come up up with workarounds or cheats but the absolute lack of functionality is beyond comprehension. I felt compelled to review this app to save anyone from paying money for using it. Maybe one day we will actually get the fabled “new version” so many review responses claim are coming. Until then, look elsewhere friends.

Wish I could block or group entities together. I don’t think I could say anything bad about having AutoCAD for my IOS device. There are many ways I like this better than the PC software version. While it is easy to select multiple lines that make up something drawn, I really wish I could block parts in my drawing. AutoCad is great about taking existing drawings with blocks and moving them around but I would like the ability to use my IOS version completely by itself.

Best for iPad.. Fell in love with the desktop version but at $1500/year for casual 1-2 drawings a year I went in search of the mobile version. $5/mo isn’t bad and the app seems a little easier/limited compared to its desktop brother. For a quick sketch or if you’re like me trying to squeeze drawing time between projects it works really well. Get it on the iPad if you can since the small screens on the iPhone tend to frustrate when zooming.

Autodesk is holding back.. I am sure they will claim a reason for the iPad version being so bland, but the power in this iPad far exceeds the power of the PCs I used with my first AutoCAD experience in 1992. It is still the same basic program with a little polishing over the years. I hate to say it…but is is almost like they make it just cumbersome enough that you can use it, but will want to upgrade.

A year later, and it’s a new low.. Take everything from my last review, now add that I renewed my “premium” subscription just to loose all my current drawings, and get a beta version of the app.. This must be a joke.. I found an old version of a drawing I can work with, but the settings change of background color doesn’t do anything. Hence it’s stuck on black, and I’m effectively colorblind now, and have to halt the project. These guys are famous for their lack of support, so I think I just dumped $50 down the drain, and the drawing I was expected to finish this week is dead in the water. Thanks guys! Tell me more about you full OS version again...

Leica functionality gone?!. I find it absolutely crazy in this day and age that an update can be rolled out to professional users, relying on this software for day to day tasks, installing updates (otherwise we can’t use the app anyway) to then find out in the field that the functions we are used to and require on a daily basis have been taken away. A couple of weeks ago the update caused an issue that prevented downloaded/offline files from being accessed unless connected to a WiFi network, completely going against the point of having offline files and today, in front of clients, I can no longer use my Leica measure to input measurements. Absolutely diabolical.

Simplified and Easy, More options for Apple Pencil would be nice. I have been using this app on the iPad Pro for the past week and its so easy to pick up and figure out the simplified settings of AutoCAD! I like how the Apple Pencil makes it quick and easy to go from drawing to selecting and trimming. I do wish that there were double tap options for the new apple pencil that allows you to go back to the previous tool you were using (like the space bar on the full version) but maybe that will come with time. Does this app allow you to do everything that regular AutoCad allows you to do? No. But, it is a great portable, easy to pick up and work option.

Paid subscriber, where are tutorials for current version?. Where are some tutorials to get started, support link is broken. I do pretty good with AutoCad Mac 2018, however I need some help on this iPad version. All the links I found on my AutoCad account talk about AutoCad 360. Any links to the mobile tutorial videos are blanked out. Maybe it is because this version is only 3 days old. Very happy AutoCad 2018 Mac user, however I am a total putz on the iPad AutoCad Mobile, I just want to draw some table top chain conveyor path, HELP. Thanks in advance.

Life saver. I’m usually not one to write reviews but I thought I’d give it a go. although this AutoCAD isn’t nearly the same as a desktop AutoCAD it saves lives. It’s only good for minor work and fixing some minor issues, don’t expect anything fancy. It does the job and with the use of an Apple Pencil it’s great. I would highly recommend it for those who have an Apple Pencil since you can be precise.

3-D from 2-D drawings. Love Autocad. Self taught by pushing buttons. I learned on the 3-D version. I just don’t know enough to go between 2-D and 3-D. I’m sure you have a program that does this I just don’t know enough to find it. I am getting better and more valuable because I know simple things. Imagine if I actually knew what I was doing. Aloha, David

Great tool for the veteran CAD people. As a long time AutoCAD user I find the app very useful when not parked behind my desk or when breaking out the laptop is just not convenient. Honestly I was not expecting much considering how high end CAD runs on a non workstation PC. However knowing this up front gave me a realistic expectation and I have been surprised at how well it has performed on my iPad Pro. Don’t expect it to run like your workstation and you won’t be disappointed at how well if performs and what a useful tool it is for the road warriors out there. Great tool!

Great evolution put to good use. Having been around AutoCAD for around 30 years, and trying to go from desktop to iPad, this came to be a great move. I have subscribed to autocad last year but i found it the most unused investment in an app. This version is quite satisfying although i have to learn a new logic of command sequence when moving or editing objects. I guess i’ll get the hang of it. The annotations are the best thing that i can use when communicating with the office team and update the modification on the drawings. This part of annotation should be developed by autodesk to be as smart as the markup tool by Apple Pencil. Very happy to be using ACAD again like this.

Love it but needs a little more. I draw everything on my PC and attempted to detail here. unfortunately in the 2D model view you are stuck with the top view. if you switch to 3D model you lose you tools. I also noticed most the time that when i turn layers off/on i have to close the file and reopen to see the changes. I also cannot change the layers for items. the rest of the tools i havent had a problem with. I know this sounds like bad review but i think my stars show my opinion better than the verbal. just want to point out a few flaws in hopes they will be addressed.

Could use more functionality but it does work well. There are a couple of things that I really need in my daily usage of this app on my iPad Pro. Being able to easily draw shapes with set dimensions entered via text entry (I thought that I used to be able to do this), and the ability to draw splines. I have to switch back to my Mac in order to accomplish these two tasks and it seems like they should be easy to implement on the iPad. Having those two abilities would greatly increase my productivity. Another caveat is that I haven’t been able to select any objects recently with the Apple Pencil 2 - I have to select the object with my finger and then I can adjust the nodes/handles with the pencil from there. I still enjoy the program, I just find myself thinking that it could be a lot more useful with a few additions or tweaks.

HOW do I adjust scaling for dims viewing?. Since I’ve only just started using AutoDesk’s CAD for iphone, I’ll rate this around half, a little less than satisfied. I can probably use it more because I took an engineering course in vocational college, but I can’t ask them for help, they’re closed. I’m using auto CAD for mechanical drawings ONLY, with one project measured out mostly in inches averaging less than a foot in length. But the default settings seem meant for architectural, with the viewing window in THOUSANDS of units. So when I apply a dimension measurement, the text isn’t visible (because its offscreen) until I zoom out the viewing window to the point where I can’t see the drive gear I’m measuring! Also, I’d prefer to get notations in fractional inches if I can, but I found a conversion chart for that.

GREAT FOR MARK UPS & FIELD COMMUNICATION. For a free app, it's awesome. All serious drafting should be done in AutoCAD on your desktop. Use this mobile app for small revisions out in the field and for take offs when not in the office. Please don't expect to be able to draft complex drawings with this app. Do that in AutoCAD, then save dwg to Google Drive to review in app for small revisions. Especially helpful while in the field on a jobsite. A PDF viewer and ability to set scale and see preview would be a very helpful update. But for a free app, AutoDesk has created this useful and easy app.

AutoCAD. It’s a great app to have on my phone it help me stay on track when it come to designing and putting my ideas on paper it’s doesn’t have all the feature the the actual cad program have but it’s stay amazing that able to do such a large portion of the work that am able to do by just using my phone.

I need help. Im a high school student and I recently got this app so I could work on my projects at home instead of going to school to do them. Unfortunately, this app doesn’t provide all the tools you would normally get when working on a desk top(I’m on an iPad Pro).Later on I saw a video saying the apple pen provides more commands. I went to go buy the pencil (second generation)to see if it added any commands. It didn’t. Every video I see on the internet about using this app has an option to connect your Apple Pencil to the app and I can’t seem to find it on my iPad. Can some women help me please.

The wonders of Autocad mobile. The Autodesk team has done a wonderful job with transitioning the program to mobile. The mobile Autocad app is very efficient and offers pin point accuracy for your drawings. This is an awesome application! I am always excited to use it, even when my desk is available!

Selecting end points and taking measurements. Trying to start a line at the end point of another line, not able to select the end point. The program selects its own point even with the osnap turned off. Taking measurements is the same. Not able to select end points to allow the measurement to be taken. This is not like the autocad I used for decades. I guess my overall dissatisfaction is with lack of ability to selects object to get information of dimensions or sizes. Because of this I will not purchase the package for use until this is fixed. Being limited on how to draw is frustrating.

Useless after 4.4.43. Autodesk worked really hard to make this software completely useless with their 5.0.0 (and beyond) updates: they managed to strip it of any serious functionality while totally failing to integrate any of the so-called functionality that they supposedly desired. This was all done in an effort to “more closely resemble the desktop version “ - a useless endeavor in itself. In short; Autodesk destroyed a perfectly working piece of software for no legitimate reason. Listen to this corporate-speak garbage quote from them, “Enhanced feature-set with limited functionality” My god, the hubris. Their inept, ill-conceived and unwarranted 5.0.0 update proves one point: if you’re looking for a software to use professionally, steer far clear of this one. UPDATE: 5.0.7 and still useless! Why a developer would ruin a perfectly good software (version 4.4.43) for more than a quarter is inexplicable. It’s been four months Autodesk. Fix it or get off the pot.

Less useful now after updates. For me, the usefulness of this app was greatly diminished after the last few updates. Having the ability to take an iPad, Apple Pencil, and a Leica distro out in the field to capture as built floor diagrams directly into AutoCAD (for later refinements or for someone else in the office to update) was a game changer. We used to be able to draw a wall on the iPad and then shoot a laser measurement of that wall and have it update the length to very accurate specifications. Now, you can’t use the Leica to directly update the length directly after you draw a wall. This has slowed the process down to the point that it has become less useful and almost too cumbersome to use in the field for this process. It would be excellent if there was a way to toggle this feature (measure after drawing object with the Leica) on and off as needed for specific needs. Hopefully this can be brought back.

Decent Mobile Experience. There are a lot of angry and disappointed people reviewing this product, but I find it very useful. Is it a mobile port of the desktop version? No, but I actually appreciate the stripped down version, that is really only focused on capturing field changes to a drawing. I like it and definitely recommend it!!

Should have made it like desktop version. Why change it?. Whoever designed this app needs to understand that AutoCAD users weren’t born in 2000. This app looks very elementary and isn’t the interface most users see on desktop. Why redesign it when experienced users already have had a palette from many years ago. It should have been more seamless transition from desktop to mobile. One of the key features that I am at a loss for is: Ability to type dimensions for line lengths and the use of standard key commands. Point and click is such a waste of time. For any experienced use of Autocad, typing commands from memory is faster than drawing lines. Once it compounds, one will know how much longer it takes to make a drawing. Also, I subscribed, but my Apple Pencil doesn’t even work based on the tutorials about freehand and editing dimensions. None of that is on the paid version. And zero support. Unfortunate that it’s like any other generic drawing tool and not like the original desktop version, which one would think that is where you would would actually begin the design with and not start from scratch. I will try it out, but it is so slow to even just draw a floor plan. I can do it faster on a desktop version. Time is money for AutoCAD users and app developers don’t really think that this isn’t just a hobby app, it’s a working man’s app to make money and every second counts when drawing in AutoCAD because it is used by professionals, not hobbyists.

Great for drawing, absolutely terrible for exporting. There's a way to export your drawings as pdf's, which is crucial for me, but honestly I'd have more luck drawing it on notability and then exporting, because this app's pdf exporter is terrible. You should be able to set a custom scale, much less any scale, but no matter what you put in as a scale this app just decides to put its own random scale in, just to taunt you. Fit to paper doesn't even work unless you put your drawing into a box, and even then it cuts off the edges so part of your drawing is gone. They need a pdf preview before you share, and let you find the right margins so that you can easily fit the box so you can fit to page. Otherwise you will never be able to export an accurate representation.

Too risky for my money. I downloaded this app and paid for a one year subscription. Then I found that it doesn’t do everything that’s described in the Help files. When I contacted AutoDesk about this, I was told in an e-mail that “we have temporarily limited functionality of the latest release”. This means that I paid to use an app according to the description and they removed many of those features (ability to paste an image into a project, ability to export in .pdf format, compatibility with the Leica Disto measured, etc.) The app is now useless to me. What developer removes functionality without notice and without compensation? How do I know that this won’t happen again? It’s not worth the risk.

Without accurate ApplePencil support.... This app is fine as a dwg viewer, but pretty useless for drawing in the field. You have to select what shape you are drawing before you draw it (unlike the original version), and then when you touch the pencil to the screen, the starting point for your line or box or whatever, is offset from the point of the pencil, which makes it impossible to draw anything with any accuracy. Text input from the keyboard is a different paradigm than the desktop app, and using a trackpad has the same offset inaccuracies as the pencil. If you are looking for a useful CAD program on an iPad, this isn’t it.

Great product, how about more options. Easy to use and very flexible but needs more libraries of objects. The basic home furniture objects are fine, but how about more things for engineering drawings. I have AutoCAD on my Mac at home but I am using the iPad for much more of my work, so quick, easy, and portable Had a project I did by hand because no steel shapes library was available. I am fine with making the steel shapes library an in app purchase. I know that other folks will want other libraries for their projects so make them as addons Also let us add a shape we regularly use to the apps objects library that shows up whenever we start app

Most worthy of all the cadd prog.. I’ve used more CADD programs than one could expect to self teach an produce at the same time. I was taught the board, pencil, straight edge in HS during the 60’s. As a Seabee I ended up doing the eat, plan, execution work of a few a d in there I was exposed to Auto CADD and a love affair could be resembled, Over the years I’ve used most of the products from other producers and own a MAC based program. From simple sketches, process control designs in plants to the ME&P work on major projects (my last 3 years) I got to turn out quality USABLE work. My only regret is I’m so used to just opening ACAD and putting it to paper or I should say screen. Thanks

Close, but still very lacking for the price.. This is a great step in the right direction, you can draw most simple objects with the same desktop commands, however, there are a lot of features that just simply don’t work in this version. Dimensions being one of them, there is no way to scale dimensions once a drawing is created, what they are is what you get, might be fine for small designs. But if your drawing is large the dimensions will likely be tiny. Exporting is also made intentionally difficult. I’ve been fighting through this for 2 years now, I’ll likely be moving on.

We need be able to print on PDF!!!!. I had spent a lot money on dwf apps readers, I’m tired, please please, improve all your apps for us to br able to open drawings on pdf an be able to work on the margins, we as contractors need this on the field, here im a customer if buzzsaw and autodesk, we need a solution to our plataform mac and on the field iphones, I can’t send work orders to my crews, we are customers too, maybe we are some of the contractors that are building yout future house, help!!

S..…L…..O..…W. ACAD is running so slowly that it’s almost unusable in the latest version. (It’s slow on my pre-M1 iPad pro, at least) So slow you can watch the drawing routines execute on the screen as the app slogs through them! Old workflow: use ACAD directly on the iPad to enter site data. New workflow: write data by hand on paper and enter it on a portable computer that runs fast and has functions like trim/extend for speedy drawing. Output pdf back to iPad, do concept development in another app. Something’s broken.

Hilariously underpowered. What an insult to the professional community. This is advertised as a true mobile drafting and CAD solution. It is not. You can not change the text size of your dimensions lines. This alone means the app should have been considered unshippable. What is the point of cad software THAT DOESN’T ALLOW YOU TO COMMUNICATE MEASUREMENTS. The Apple Pencil support is comically bad, and misrepresented in the company sales materials. There is not “smart pen” function. Good luck finding a straight answer to that tho - it took me almost 4 hours online. Your ability to manipulate objects and layers is SEVERELY limited in comparison to the desktop version. There is no Spline Command, there is no champher, there is no ability to edit control points whatsoever. There is no support for Blocks. You can’t reference Block libraries, you can’t edit block definitions. Again, misrepresented in the literature and 0 clarifications in the official documentation. This is a .dwg viewer that you can scribble on with your Apple Pencil.

Still getting to know the capabilities. I’m a retired Civil Engineer that has used AutoCAD since the mid-1980s. I now design radio controlled model airplanes using AutoCAD and I need another tool (Spline) for the Mobile app. Dealing with airfoil shapes or streamlined parts just can’t be done effectively any other way. I’m using Mobile on my iPhone 7Plus so trying to create new designs on a small screen with a limited set of tools can be a rewarding challenge. Keep up the good work!

From one who knows no AutoCAD. I bought an IPad Pro and decided I would purchase AutoCAD mobile. Although I am a licensed civil engineer (experienced, i.e. old), I have always had someone to do CAD for me. After the pandemic, I am staying home, so I have started to see if I can do some stuff on my own. I started out in the wrong place. Knowing little AutoCAD other than knowing about layers and some commands, I bought this product. It is worthless. They saved on making a HELP section (so easy to do); you’re on your own. Searching the internet, I see this is typical for AutoCAD: “we know there are issues with (BLANK) but we are working on it”. I decidedly feel ripped-off. No way to use this program. All I want is to search for a location and maybe point to the locations, but I can’t do it. I am sure it is very easy if there were a reference that I could READ. Now I have to make sure that my annual subscription cannot be renewed (cancellations for internet products being so difficult). Count me as ZERO STARS.

Used to be 5 stars. I don’t know why the update made the app be worse than before. To start they removed the smart pen feature which was quite useful. Takes way longer to draw lines or select objects now. I guess I could live without that but I can’t edit the length of my lines. I just can’t comprehend why they would remove features instead of making it better. I used to be five stars ! I would take it to jobs measure and draw up a base plan right there and then transfer it to my computer. It saved me so much time please fix the issues

Great idea. I love that they made an app for autocad. I personally find it easier to use autocad on a computer, so I’ll probably only use this for small changes. The problem that I had with this is actually that I signed in with my student account, which is free, and the app still keeps telling me to upgrade. I’m fine with paying the $5/month if the student account doesn’t work with the app, but I don’t really see why it wouldn’t work. I emailed support and they just referred me to the “education community”.

Auto save. Where did Autosave go? Previous version allowed me to select autosave. Now I need to remember everytime. This is 2019. Also direct entry is so frustrating that I need to select an undefined box in order to get to where I can enter dimensions of a simple box. I can’t even draw a box and then edit it with direct entry as before. Please help, I really need this to by my go to tool onsite with my Ipad Pro.

Unusable App For It’s Sole Purpose. I use an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil 2 to edit and draft drawings and after the latest update 5 months ago, this app was rendered useless. I can no longer draw anything efficiently since the geniuses at Autocad removed the numeric dialogue box that would pop up when drawing a line, or selecting a line to edit. Now you must enter the dimensions and direction of any object you are drawing before you have even used your pencil to create a line. After you’ve created a line, there’s no way to edit the line by correcting the dimensions using a numeric dialogue box like before. Now, you only have the option to stretch an existing object and eyeball the correct dimension. USELESS DEVELOPERS HAVE LEFT PAYING CUSTOMERS OUT TO DRY FOR 5 MONTHS NOW WITHOUT A FIX!

New user. As a new user I find this app to be very easy to use and navigate. As I am still in the process of learning, being able to save my progress as I go makes building on previously learned skills very useful. A useful app for designing and keeping my skills honed on the go away from the computer. Allows me to develop my skills anywhere that I go during the day. A must have for anyone in the field of design or construction.

Dear Dev team. My challenge, Team, is to take your iPad outside, with a tape measure, and draw the building in your program from scratch. You have a generous 45 minutes to do this. Maybe then you will understand why your drawing commands have no practical application in drawing anything in the field. Trying to remember which angle I’m at in order to do a simple 90 deg turn is bogus. About 2 years ago you could start the line in a direction and then enter a distance. Why on earth would you take that out? 4 more stars await when you put that one feature you have coded back in. 2 years come on! And comments fall on deaf ears. They know what you need better than you do. It’s too bad they don’t actually use the app.

Waste of money and no support!. I used the trail version and even with the Apple Pencil it was working. The app was simple but limited. I only needed to use it for marking up plans and small changes. I decided to go with the “Ultimate Plan” to use all the features. Once I did I couldn’t even use the app. Using my finger, Apple Pencil or even a Bluetooth mouse the crosshairs wouldn’t go where I tried to draw. I couldn’t even draw two lines because I could never click on the end of the first line. I contacted support and they told my there was nothing they could do and sent me a link to show me how to draw a freaking line. I’ve used autoCAD on desktop to Mark up drawings for over ten years and thought my iPad on the go might help but waste of $99.

Impossible to cancel once you subscribe. This company is shady. There is no obvious way to unsubscribe from the monthly subscription. There are several posts online with people having the same problem. In those posts, someone from AutoCAD references a link to how to cancel, but the link is invalid. Also, autocad arbitrarily decided to make my password not work. So I am 25 minutes in and I can’t cancel. What a waste of time. I have emailed customer support and we will see. But all of this is clearly designed to make you give up and not cancel your subscription. Totally shady.

You’re so close. 1st day on a job site with this, and it’s not really usable for me. Being able to type in a dimension is required. Period. The fact that this functionality was removed makes this App one step North of worthless. If I can’t accurately draw a line, then what is this even for? If/when the ability to type in dimensions is added back, then this thing gets a TON more useful. Until then... not so much. UPDATE: After a response from Autodesk, I learn that there is *limited* ability to add typed dimensions. It does not work with Apple Pencil, which I was using, but there is a way to be more precise. I will not, however add more stars to the initial review. This limited functionality is still too awkward to allow us to add this tool into our workflow.

Trial (Standard download) Is Terrible. II have been using AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT/Autosketch for over 30 years and I am looking to purchase this package for my home and light consulting needs on my IPad. I understand, and even appreciate, the seven day trial period. And, I am not adverse to paying the asking (monthly/yearly) price for a functioning product. However, the functionality given for those 7 days is extremely poor and instructions nonexistent. Too many of the basics are missing and it is impossible to make any realistic evaluation. Is the functionality of the trial package really that limited and the total package truly that poor?

Updated Version almost unusable. I was using this app about 18 months ago and it was great. I paid for another subscription and found many functions no longer worked correctly in the new version. The “Edit vertex” option has completely disappeared. You used to be able to specify the value of distance/length/position when modifying/moving things, but now it just lands where you drag it so it’s impossible to be accurate. The mirror object function has also disappeared. I have immediately canceled my subscription until the app is restored to full functionality.

Not for drawing. Maybe it’s fine to view drawings but it lacks even the simple functionality of drawing an ellipse, not worth $$$

Cam5123. Great app, so easy to use and draw up design and even use as a measuring tool. Would love to see fillet added because to round edges I need to draw circles and trim it all. Fillet would make top it off!

3D facility. I’d find 3D to be super useful

Very poor after update. Update December 2019 Recent update Version 5.0.2 Still useless with the same issues as below. Don’t purchase this product until fixed as it completely unusable on and ipad with a pencil. Old version 4.4 was excellent version 5 is unusable. After the most recent update easy things like selecting radius of the circle has been a very hard. The most recent update has made this app almost unusable. Even something as simple as your measuring from one object to another is hard to program snaps to the wrong place. Also when I zoom in now the grid doesn’t rescale for example when I used to zoom in on a 5 mm grid Square it would have five lines depicting 1 mm each further I Zoomin agreed with the repopulating this function is now gone.

Great App. I tried the free version and saw it’s potential, paid for full app and very glad I did. Given I did a course on AutoCad 2000 some years ago and only use this for personal use on home projects, it is taking me a little to get used to it although it is very intuative and reasonably easy to navigate. I am very happy with my purchase.

Long time user. Hi. I have used AutoCAD for over 35 years and consider it to be the best with great support and specialist add ons, access to trainers and easy online help. Great tool in business

Rubbish. The new update is absolute rubbish and an absolute disaster!!! As soon as iv finished typing this my subscription is being cancelled.

Anyone know how to Plot?. Great App! However I don’t have an export button as an option? Using premium. Anyone know how to help?

No Disto plugin. Just gone out and purchased a Leica Disto d2 measuring tool as I saw it can work with autocad mobile but to my surprise I can’t seem to use it. I’m thinking it’s been removed can someone let me know?

Confused.. Why is it not possible to even offset lines? I’m sorry but what do you image people will use this app for? If you fix the app in the future please let me know because I’d really like to design some houses on my tablet but this won’t help me as it currently is.

Ridiculously useless. I bought the 1 year subscription after watching all the videos of wha this app can do. After installing to my surprise it does very little of what’s in those tutorial videos.... can’t edit lengths. Can only dimension aligned measurements. So many functions shown on the autodesk videos aren’t available. I’ve essentially paid old money for what almost any other free cad software can give me. Lesson learned I won’t be renewing this license

Excellent. Loving it

Useless app. Why can’t you cancel the free trial? Wanted to see how it was, it’s awful beyond useless and now I find you can’t even cancel? Talk about dodgy. Don’t even trial this app you will be stuck.

Developers need to be sacked.. I subscribed to premium. Cumbersome app but I need it. Spend hours creating drawings then moved the drawing into a sub folder only for the drawing to be corrupted. As far as I concerned Autodesk owe me lost time or just let me come to their work place and waste their time.

Can’t even print!. How is it that in 2021, AutoCAD can’t even print. It can’t even publish to PDF. This is pathetic!

Please fix this app back to previous functionality!. So frustrating when something used to work now has been made useless. The gps positioning in real time function was the best thing about this app and now it’s been taken away. Among many other useful tools. The app has now been rendered useless. Please fix.

Number pad does not show up. I upgraded to the premium since I used the trail version and it worked fine. But since upgrading, I can no longer edit object sizes as the numerical pad doesn’t show up. I got the app to help with clients. But now seems useless. I have also tried email the app support but all my emails just keep bouncing back unable to deliver.

Crashes. Not sure what happened, app crashes before can really do anything

Last update created issues. The app was working fine until the last update. Now the files that I was using before won’t open.

Unable to draft using latest update. The latest update renders the product useless on a iPad Pro with the use of an Apple Pencil for drafting commands. I can no longer select an item and use drawing commands like move, extend, offset etc and see any editable pop up box as per the previous version. Until Autodesk can fix this don’t buy this now useless product. The standard long winded response from Autodesk of “We are constantly reviewing our product.....we have temporarily limited functionality of the latest release....Please help us make our app better and share your thoughts..” all this is a cop out! (anyone trying to use this app now on an iPad with an Apple Pencil will get this blurb sent to them when they complain). Come on Autodesk! Repair the pathetic “limited functionality” and give us back the previous version. It least it worked on the iPad! One star is one too many for this version.

Premium Upgrade. Recently upgraded to Premium due to a larger file size 14mb. Since than I have been unable to open any files in excess of 10mb. I have contacted support with no useful information provided. My subscription show that I have premium until Oct 2020. Very poor.

Very Handy app. I really like this app, i am doing my own academic project and i can review the sketch anytime on my mobile or tablet. Really love it. Thanks Autodesk😊

Terrible. At first it was great. I spent good money on an iPad Pro set up with pencil and keyboard. None of it is any good after update. No support is available. Getting in touch is as if everyone at autocad mobile walked out and closed the door and never came back to work. Your money is good here but don’t expect anything in return for your subscription. If they reply to this and say that there is a “line” command box for imputing measurements/angels on IOS only- that is incorrect - the latest update has now removed it from IOS customers running latest apple iPad Pro as well.

Still no basic functionality. The last two updates haven’t made mention of returning basic functionality to the app. No we are stil not enjoying this latest version. If you want to see how basic drafting should be implemented on the iPad take a look at Shapr3D.

Great👍. Great for site visits and showing basic concept drawings. It would be even better if you had more tools to use like on the complete AUTOCAD version (Pc)

Thumbs down for the latest update. The app is no longer simple or practical to use. What used to take me a few seconds is now taking minutes to get right and is cumbersome and complicated. Restore the previous version please... I’m sure most of us who use the program frequently would appreciate prompt action so we can continue utilizing the tools this previously invaluable app provided.

Good intuitive commands and tools. PlanGrid pro could learn a thing. Wish autoCAD could handle Ifc files or could be embedded into Autodesk collaborate

No unsubscribe function on subscription options. Have been using the app for some years but no longer need it and found there is no cancellation option on the subscription page. This is not by mistake and common with US subscriptions so fix it now

TERRIBLE!! PLZ FIX. Hi this app when I sign in it does not let me in and it does not let me shape or design and it keeps crashing and freezing. Can you please fix it (:

AutoCAD. As a Architectural student I find the application invaluable especially when I’m on the move and I have an idea which I like to try out .. keep up the great work…

Dimension tools gone. Where have the dimension tools gone. I only get aligned and that’s it. Cant dimension angles or radius items.

Last Update. I hate this app since the last update. Horrible to use!

Doesn't operate as per videos. Control interface is different to videos & I'm unable to use it like it shows I'm an experienced desktop user but this just doesn't work on IPad Pro

Not obvious paid app. You need to make it more obvious that this app is only free for 7 day trial. I just want a viewer there is no way I’m going to draw with this.

Useless and unsupported. Can’t even draw a simple straight line, online tutorial videos are all showing as unavailable from auto desks website even when signed in with a paying account!

Very very handy on-site tool. The app came packaged with my AutoCAD LT subscription and at first I didn’t bother using it, thinking I wouldn’t have much use for it. Doing the build of my own house I tried it so I could access the files while shopping for fixtures and realised very quickly how handy it is to find dimensions and zoom in on details. It would be tricky on a phone to draw much of anything but as a reference tool, which I’m sure is it’s intended purpose, it is excellent! Saves taking a load of drawings with you when you can just access the file. It would be super handy to have on an iPad/tablet, an upgrade I may do in the near future. The app is an extremely handy addition to your AutoCAD subscription.

Forget it. If I have to create an account just to try it, forget it!!!

OMG!!!. I’ve been using this app for a number of years and it’s a great app UNTIL the recent update. What a joke, You guys at Autodesk Inc should know better. It now has become a useless app. This app should be reverted to the previous version.

Awesome app. Best app ever, has made life easy. If you don’t have this app yet, get it immediately. Thanks AutoDesk 🙏

Need fill or hatch. Great tool but need a fill or hatch option to complete all my plans, stuck with desktop till this appears :(

Killed the app with the latest update. This app now seems like a pre-release version and not an update to a fully functioning and useful app. Basic functionality like being able to draw an accurate rectangle or even make it 1.00 units bigger are now tedious if not downright impossible. As a company I thought you knew better than to foist alpha versions of the app on your user base. When I started with your app you were the only game in town but in the intervening 4 years I don’t think you have realised that there are other companies knocking on your door. Ones that offer things like a custom object library, oh and not to mention drawing tools that work. Pull your finger out Autodesk and start putting out software that has actually passed beta testing for functionality and usability.

External reference missing error. This app was working fine however the update absolutely destroyed this app. iPad Pro takes a lot longer and the control bar is not even accessible anymore. Can anyone please assist.

Poor. Crash in 5 seconds, after I have opened file dwg. So dispointed

Awesome app. Aswesome app. I’m planing to use it for our sales team to make their layouts on site.

Garbage. You try and the free addition and it’s a fantastic program. Upgrade to premium and it will not transfer over from the free trail (which expires). Check the support page and what do you know, everyone has the issue with no help and/or refund. Thanks for wasting my time and money AutoCAD 🖕🏻

Great wit some limitations. Superior to other cad programs I tried. But some has a limitation. The only export option is emailing a pdf. Wish I could save the export on my ipad or cloud.

Unusable. Can’t so much as draw a simple rectangle on this app. Snap feature doesn’t even work either. Not everyone who uses CAD software is a rocket scientist you know. Not happy

Useful but unnecessarily complex. Difficulties with saving, use offline, availability of attachments and instability and loosing files makes this a potentially useful but very flawed app.

New version is mot good. Auto updated to version 5.0.0 now all my old files don’t work like they used to! What happened to this program why can’t I draw like I could two days ago 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Please put it back the way it was ASAP!!!!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 Or leu us know how to re install 4.4.35

Simply a viewer for now. The keypad doesn’t appear when it’s supposed to. I cannot enter the information necessary to modify my drawing. I cannot use it to do what I bought it for. I absolutly need to be able to use the keypad to modify my drawings. Please repair the bug. I took a one month subscription and I will wait till the bug is fixed to retry the app.

Intuitive and Easy to Learn. I’m an AutoCAD draftsperson and working student; sometimes I like to study my drawings on the bus home. I am so grateful this tool has allowed me to interact with and view my drawings. This experience so far has enabled me to get more insight from projects on the go. I enjoy myself commuting on the bus to and from work studying my AutoCAD drawings. I have found this so very convenient and extremely valuable to my workflow.

:/. I don’t usually give bad reviews based on customer service, but honestly the response to my help email was so unnecessarily dismissive that I felt a little insulted. Making me wait a week to answer a simple question is understandable given the times, but directing me to a quick link (that I could easily access myself within that much time) instead of answering my question... anyways, I never did figure out if I can get into this app without signing up for a plan because of my preexisting school account. That alone made this two stars for me, as I couldn’t even get through the sign up process without hicks. Edit: thank you so much for addressing the problem. I appreciate it!

Change the logo back!. Overall, it works quite well. My only gripe is the logo change, bring it back!

The old version was better. The old version was better

Good app. Very handy app for dimensions for deck building etc

Vraiment bien. Je recommande vivement

Can’t go wrong with a mobile app. Love this app. Makes visualization quick and efficient offline and on. Wish the file Size wasn’t limited to under 30mb.. other than that.... no complaints.

Would like to be able to customize pencil behaviour. Why on earth does it default to dragging a single point on a selected object? Pencil behaviour is not intuitive at all. If I tap on a rectangle, it’s far more likely I want to move it than just move a single point and change its shape. It makes the overall experience a bit tedious.

Styles feature. Will there be better stylus support in the future? I see other reviews say that it was removed from the more recent version. My iPad Pro is now my main computer, I love it over a desktop for the stylus. I’m hoping it was removed only to perfect it. Current version 5.5.0.

Free !!. Free like Facebook! Should be forever and unlock everything for cheaper fees like Disney plus and no more

I very much enjoy this app. People need to realize this is new technology and in my eyes a great glimpse of a better future. AutoCAD has been around for awhile and has proven to be the go to design application since I was in school 20 years ago and before. For me after coming back to AutoCAD after 20 years. I feel this app is great with a lot of potential for many different personal applications. Love it. Keep up the good work and your company will continue to get my support. Thanks 🤩🇨🇦. I use it with my iPad Pro 12.9 2018 edition and it is brilliant. Personal use for now but will definitely come in handy for future estimating and design.

For iPad Pro. Works well with mobility access

Very useful for small projects. Used it for furniture design and other small projects and works really well.

IT USE TO BE GOOD. Older version was great. Easy to use and made quick work of design. Stop updating and changing everything. The latest version is a waste of money. Inputting one specific line at a time is frustrating and not being able to input specific sizes almost makes it useless.

Visualising a dwg file on a mobile device always a 5 star. For all the people that give the app anything under 5 stars... remind yourself ow it was when you had to take your laptop out just to measure or check an area on AutoCAD... I’m forever thankful for the creation of this always improving app. 5 stars for life.

Fix the Glitch!. I have Premium option and have my credit card charged every month, BUT when I need to use ACAD it shows me that I have Free option and I can just view my files. Thank you very much! Great attitude!

So far so good. Student making floor plans and urban design plans.

Make it clear. Go through the hassle of creating another account for something else only to find it’s a bloody subscription. Deleting

Hors fonction depuis 2 semaines. L’app ne fonctionne plus depuis 2 semaines!

So much potential. I feel this app has so much potential to be a very useful tool going forward. A few bugs and tweaks to sort out. Closed itself a couple of time before i saved on the jobsite, had to start over.

Autocad-mobile. Keep the gps working

Gol mammas. We’re land Servayor it helps us very mooch

No command bar??. Very disappointed in downloading this app only to find out it has not command bar and only works for viewing existing documents and creating free-handed plans. I was looking to use this app as a primary source for schoolwork and it turned out to be a dud. next update, please give us the command bar for full use!!!!!

VERY WELL DONE. Very different from my previous review for this app, they have now added a lot of tools from the desktop version to the app, and I am very pleased with the work they have done. I love how easy it is to export drawings from the app as well. Only downside is that I wish you could use the Apple Pencil for drawing like in the older versions of this app. Another thing which would be helpful to have would be the ability to create and save blocks for drawings created on the app. Thanks for the hard work and awesome job!

Features gone. It looks like the developer has abandoned this app. The online tutorials show useful features that are now gone. Very disappointed because the previous version looked like exactly what I wanted to purchase. The search continues.

Apple pencil. The app always worked fine until I got the iPad Pro m2 with the Apple Pencil hover, it almost impossible to draw and do anything is there a place to stop the hover feature?

Dissapointed. Bought this to do the most simple thing: display a DXF file, and maybe tweak it. Followed the directions to upload a file from my laptop via email. It won’t recognize the file. I can’t use this if it won’t recognize my file.

Very Unhappy. My wife bought this for me thinking it was 3D CAD. I have no use for it at all. Total waste of money. Your website says money back guarantee. How do I get a refund?

Doesn’t show it’s a paid app until you make an account…. I went through the trouble of downloading the app, creating an account, verify it… and it’s a paid app with 7 day trial. Waste of time and effort.

Can’t go without this onsite but extremely frustrating.. If the app didn’t crash all the time and have issues saving and the file management wasn’t the worst.... then it would be awesome.

AutoCAD limited to limited 40gb size. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because of the limited file size that’s allowable. It would be great if that size was larger or possibly unlimited!

Poor functionality. Simple commands such as offset or snap are barely functional. Sorry but not suitable for simple drawing on an iPad.

Did not save and ruined my day. Did a drawing of a shaft with multiple bearing seats and sealing surfaces that needed welding build up. The dragging did not save and now I lost all of my dimensions.

Not dependable. I want to love this app... I really do. It’s easy to draft with and COULD be indispensable. But for one thing. It crashes...often. And it doesn’t always save properly. The only way to safely use it is to email the drawing to yourself periodically (I do it hourly.. it gets expensive). But that’s not enough: open the drawing on another device to ensure that it worked. I’ve lost a whole days worth of work because it didn’t save once when I was pressing the save button. Buggy as hell. Support acts surprised, and they try to send back up drawings, but so far that’s never worked. In 2 weeks I’ve lost about 10 total hours of work. So that’s a fat 1/5 until they can fix this. And yes, I am writing this review just after another crash. Do better please.

Not what it seems. I got this for school and it’s almost a waste of scape on my ipad. You can’t draw specific line sizes making this useless to me. The only thing it’s good for is the preset blocks.

一直闪退,从未解决!. 一直闪退,从未解决!

Great. App works well for mobile solution

Before launching a new version ...... ... it should be complete and tested. I cannot edit my existing drawings appropriately since many features are missing because of the update. Frustrating when fast-tracking drawings. Is there no way to revert to previous version until the newer version is fully ready ?

Useful. Useful for quick drawings on the job site, as well as viewing plans on site and getting a closer look. Tutorials could be more thorough. Google Sketchup tutorials were much more helpful and thorough for rudimentary use.

Sketch up devrais etre gratuit. Gratuit

Can't log in anymore!. The app is a bit disappointing for an iPad Pro app, but it does the job. However, I can't even log in because the pop-up window asks for my email then remains stuck on that page, it won't let me put in my password at all. I can't use the app.

No autosave function, poor functionality. I was excited to try out a version of AutoCAD for ipad but the excitement died quickly. The line drawing function offers the ability to manually input length and angle, but will only accept one at a time. This means that if I’m plotting a piece of property, I have to place a line, then go back and correct either the length or the angle since the app will only accept input on one. Waste of time. Then, since it never occurred to me that an app in the modern era would not autosave, when I opened my file today, it was empty. Of course I should have saved, but given that LITERALLY EVERY APP I HAVE AUTOSAVES it really didn’t occur to me that autodesk would leave out something so incredibly basic. A pointless app.

Engineer. For me Autocad is the best software for designing Excellent!

Not an easy transition from the desktop version. Is there a guide that explains the functionalities and the commands? I can’t find how to adjust dim and text style and heights and did not find smart leaders for creating notes with arrows...

برنامج ممتاز و سهل الاستخدام. Thank u for making a free version

Disappointed. When they first brought this app out it was great then for some reason they changed how the apple pen works with it and removed a bunch of the tools in order to use it properly and now for the last year I have been finding this app totally useless and will be deleting it if thing don’t get better. I used to prefer working in the app for drawings even better than on the desk top version since I could use it from home and in a comfy chair or bed. Not now. Very disappointed. Wish it would just go back to the first version they had.

Not there yet!!!. If we could use a keyboard and pencil that would be AMAZING. Blocks are gone, that was a good feature. Also, integrating a way to bring photos in and cad over them would be great. Not sure where those predictive features went, but bring them back! Also, I set my units to architectural, but when I dimension it’s in decimal. It basically doesn’t work as a viable product yet, but keep working on it!!!

Difficult for beginners. I downloaded it and struggled just to draw a simple 3 wall Screen room with a door. For an absolute beginner I couldn’t figure out how to draw a door like the villa sample. I couldn’t create the small squares for my support posts. Just basic stuff that should be simple. I know I’m an absolute beginner so a small simple how to guide to some very simple drawing instructions. My frustration level is very high just minutes into this. I guess this is obvious to users of other cad users.

AutoCad Mobile on iPhone 6. I’ve been using AutoCad since 1990 but only just installed the mobile app on my phone. I’ve only spent a short amount of time familiarizing myself with how it works but can clearly see some significant advantages to lugging my mobile workstation around the job site. I think it is a wonderful and useful addition to the functionality of AutoCad.

Would be better if it was like desktop version. The app would be most easy and useful if it would be like the desktop version, it really helps on the iPad but would love it to work like in the computer

Could be so much more..... Missing lots of functionality, like can’t change layer colors. Having to use the web app to transfer files is frustrating, and they almost never sync. I have to duplicate every file to sync it so I can use it on my desktop. Despite its many issues, being able to as built directly into cad on my tablet is pretty handy.

Good App, lacking some features. Was very excited to be able to download autocad onto my mobile devices, super portable and easy to find time to work on it. The layout is fairly good, but it lacks some crucial features that makes autocad indespensible on desktop. For a free app, awseome. But it needs improvements to be a serious drafting tool in the field.

Plotting to PDF - iPad. Using the AutoCAD app, I created a simple floor plan using my iPad. I then zoomed extents and plotted to PDF, but my floor plan was down on the lower left corner. Both (default) layers are on. There are no artifacts “out in left field” so to speak. I’m an AutoCAD user, but I find this app to be frustrating. Makes me wonder if the developers ever had an AutoCAD user try it. Grrr! Ken McC.

great APP for on the go access to my DWG files. This app works great for accessing my files on the go especially, when I need to meet with someone to go over the sketches. It allows you to check dimensions so it’s useful to verify field dimensions. It is a great tool when coupled with Dropbox or similar file storage system. All in all it’s a great app!

Did not try app. Downloaded, created account and then deleted when the only option to actually use the app is to pay for a subscription. This review is based on a forced subscription and not functionality. Let users know that a subscription is needed to use before asking for an account creation. I’m sure the developers will sell my email since I was forced to create an account then told I’d have to pay to use the app.

Works great but limited. Works great and very practical. It is great for someone dipping their toes in CAD and want to produce drawings without the investment it takes to get the “real thing”. But the app is basically the kitty version. It has limited functionality. Would love to have at the very least a more expensive library

So bad I was compelled to review. I’ve never bothered to leave a review on an app before, but this might be the only way the developer will listen to feedback. This app used to be awesome - until a few weeks ago. It used to be extremely easy to accurately draw lines by hand or with the Pencil - just make a segment and then a handy keypad/calculator would pop up so you could type the exact dimensions. It worked great! For some reason these clowns removed that feature in a recent “update” that has crippled the app for any serious work.

Everything you need on location. AutoCAD for iPad saved me a half day if not a full day of work. I was able to quickly draw the plans of the existing construction in detail. It connected to my disto without asking questions. I was really surprised. It's great. Fast. Intuitive and simple.

It’s basic but works in field and for clients. Instant no more pencils and paper quick room layouts when working in field. Better management of drawing. Mobile is mobile nothing more than a tool connected to my PC at home. May the Force be with you

Very useful even for.... I'm not a professional using AutoCAD for business purposes! I find it, though; very useful in my various dabblings. It lends itself to many graphical representations and for that it is without peer. There is a learning curve and accurate object placement and manipulation depends on the quality of one's stylus/input device.

Wish I could get the “pro” version.. I have been begging for information as to why I cant access any of the annotating buttons. I now have paid for 2 premium memberships and downloaded the apps several times and upon logging in I get the same ole generic page since the beginning. I bought the new IPad and pencil to make ease of drawings and now I have multiple hours and hundreds of dollars in searching online and writing reviews to which I am sure somehow this will be my fault. I would love for someone to at least point me in the right direction...

Useless So Far. I am using an IPad Pro. Pencil and Keyboard are 100% completely useless when attempting to create a basic shape. Made sure to go in and check the settings so that I can utilize the numeric keypad for exact sizes, and nothing works. Check settings again, and can’t edit the properties of the object or use the numeric keypad. For creating, this is extremely useless. For viewing, I can see it being helpful, but if the keyboard and Apple Pencil are not able to be utilized, how is precise and proper editing going to take place?

Really good!. I love the AutoCAD web app, and this mobile morning really helps to make my work more portable. The website not I dislike about it is that it is no longer free. Neither this, or the web app are free after the trial anymore, and. It makes it very difficult to complete my work. Otherwise it is a really great app!

Very useful for what I need. Being able to quickly reference drawing and get dimensions from my phone makes things easier in the field.

Useful But Needs More Drawing Tools.. I have been an ACAD user for decades. The App needs more shapes to be able to be used as a drawing App. Good for reviewing and very simple drawings but would be willing to pay for a shapes library or just an increase in price. At first glance, I thought it would be a useful tool, but upon spending time using the App, I found the very limited drawing library a limitation for all but the simplest drawing applications.

Very nice app for school. Uh we do technical drawing in school and this is my last exam as I’m dropping the class doing assignments on this thing is too stressful but if you like architecture or plotting drawings online this app is amazing but I hate the subject

Frustrating- Hope the developer brings back some disabled features. I used to use my Leica Disto and Apple Pencil to quickly record as-built floor plans that I could then access on my desktop and continue work. This was a huge asset for my business, cutting my time to generate plans for remodels down significantly. Now that the laser measure functionality and line dimensioning (post draw) seem to have disappeared, the process for drawing a precise line is back to being tedious in this app. Now we are forced back to pencil and paper in the field, which then must be brought back to the office to start a .dwg from scratch. Are these features ever coming back? They were the only things that really made the app worth it for us.

Jrclockmaker. Been a customer for years, however since the latest update I am unable to use any of the tools I have used to draw precisely. Now It is almost impossible for me to use the program to draw anything. Also what is the problem with printing/plotting. Complicated plotting procedure has been an ongoing problem for decades now going back to AutoCAD 6 when I started back in the early nineties. Acad mobile can not print/plot directly. In order to print a drawing it is a needlessly complicated and imprecise procedure involving emailing or texting the drawing to a different program. I hope AutoCAD can fix these problems as it has been my favorite drafting program for years now.

Great app but could do more on iPad. I love using this mobile cad, I rely on it. It very powerful. Can do lots. Has its limits though. Object limits? Really? I’m pretty sure my iPad Pro can handle more than 200 objects. And why can we only view paper space? Would love to be able to output new drawings in the field. Overall really a great mobile cad. Please keep developing it to meet the capabilities of our powerful devices.

Dimensions. i have been using this app about 3 months and it’s really easy to use but there’s some tools that is not in it like ( polygon , or make new dimensions or modify dimensions) and I really had a hard time with dimensions cuz sometimes my drawing need small dimensions style but the smallest dimensions style or standard dimensions was still so big for my drawing i hope that you will fix this soon ( my first language is not English)

Us full. I fined it is easy to navigate and worth the money for what it can do. How ever it would be nice to import and export other files into the program as a option. The scale for the modeling needs to be improved as well I use my phone for quick projects.

Fix the bugs and it would be great!. ‘I’ve been using this mobile app on my IPad and it seems the features like controlling the dimensions don’t work at all. Also the app crashes often. I’ve seen on the autocad social forum people say to uninstall the app then install it and it should fix itself. Doesn’t work! I guess I’m going to call Monday and see if tech can help with the software.

Where are all the standard commands?. I can’t tell you how excited I was to see this app. I am equally disappointed with it. Where are the basic commands? There’s no mirror, fillet, etc... The available blocks are nice however there aren’t options. For example, the door block is a 30” door. If you need a 3’-0” door you’re out of luck. If you need to mirror that 30” door you’re equally out of luck. Autodesk, please contact me when the app has all of Autocad’s basic commands. For anyone considering, I recommend you wait or look for other options.

Missing Native iOS Files support and DXF support. I wanted to mock up a panel layout on my iPad, which I thought would be a great use for the app. Most of the parts I needed for the layout were available in DXF format, but for some reason this version doesn’t support DXF. There is also no native support for the iOS file system, which results in an immense amount of friction in getting files into and out of AutoCAD.

Won’t open any files. App has become worse and worse. Won’t open any actual dwg files or pdf’s no matter the source it comes from. Still doesn’t connect to iPad photo gallery as a source. Every time it just says file not supported. Also there is no actual help from the website as they stopped updating the help section a while back. Could be great but lacks the basics. So useless for me when other apps have better functions and support.

Really good. I like this app really good, for whatever reason I can’t use it on my computer so this is the only thing I can use lol, please fix it so I can sign in on the computer won’t let me sign in but other than that this app is really good

Limited in usefulness. Perhaps a better experience has been had by folks on larger platforms than cell phones. On cell form factors, particularly small ones the GUI, although clever, is missing some important stuff to make this useable. In its present form I feel it is a gimmick used by the Sales department to say " We have a free mobile solution that greatly enhances etc."

Professors.. Using this on an iPad is possible, it’s the same as the one on desk tops and laptops. I don’t understand why professors always strongly suggest using Audocad on desktops and laptops if it is capable on an iPad. It’s more organize and with so much ease using the Apple Pencil. I truly encourage engineers using iPads as a mobile way of using Audocad.

Auto-CAD. Fantastic mobile configuration of a super useful computer program. Of course, the computer program is much quicker to use (which is expected), but the mobile app offers an on-the-go alternative that works well.

Awful. Once subscription was purchased, I was unable to download a file with phone. Opened website on laptop, was able to download file but unable to open it. Website froze and unable to see prints or go back. Had to restart website but still unable to open files. When attempted to get support you have to make an appointment which none were available until two days later.

Ugh. Well they completely got rid of the old app witch worked and had more features than this new one. It would have been professional to keep the old app around until this app was up and running at full capacity. You can’t even insert a picture to trace the outline of and to make it worse while months ago you could insert a picture on your Mac then open it in the app and there it was... Yup you guessed it, some how they saw fit to do away with that. So now pictures just aren’t supported. The last update all they came out with was being able to change the background color. Nothing truest useful... ha ha ha Though they have this going for them. Making it that much easier for someone to swoop in and out perform them in software. Making this software obsolete. Will be keeping an eye out for that day.

High learning curve. I have been using AutoCAD since Summer 1987, version 1.2. While AutoCAD has v22 has tremendously more options and features, it is still not user-friendly. Expect to spend d a whole lot of time cursing and swearing at AutoDesk because they keep moving commands around.

Customer service is terrible. I’ve had this app now for a few months and it works great. Except for the fact that one of my drawings can’t be opened now and I’ve tried everything to open it. I’ve tried the forums, the faq’s, I’ve emailed multiple times and have gotten zero responses from customer service. I don’t know what else to do except to write this review and hope someone gets back to me with an answer. So far though, it’s been 2 weeks and no responses. Please help.

Mostly Good. I’m not a super high skilled CAD draft person and I find this program mostly user-friendly. The one issue that I have is that it does not auto save frequently enough and I’ve already done much work that was lost because I assumed that it auto saved in real time.

Good but can be great. With iPadOS now out I would love to see where AutoDesk takes AutoCAD. They added X-Ref support but I would love to see mouse support now that it is available. The precision of a mouse helps with CAD work. I know they have to make it usable with just the ipad itself but this could be the ultimate portable CAD machine. It flies through drawings better than my workstation. I look forward to more features coming.

On the Road. Love the mobile app….can be standing in the middle of a construction site and check the latest/greatest version vs what I’ve been sent….cause there’s ALWAYS another version that “oh, I thought we sent you that revision already” might be lurking! 🙈👍😎

badly closed almost all editing functions, for a simple subscription. Now that I started to like AutoCAD, they closed all the editing functions for wanting to collect subscriptions, many of them will look good, but they should not block the editing functions and leave only the measurement ones wrong, and close other applications that were useful , and they do not even work well, instead of improving they go back

Could use more functionality. I’ve joined the many, many people who have a tablet as their main computer. I’d love to be able to wield more functions but the “mobile” version doesn’t have them. Otherwise, love this program!

Need more functionality. It’s too disappointing for not being able to add hatch, table…etc. I’m using my iPad for the university and I can’t get what I need with the app, the Autocad Web App does a good job but unfortunately I was wishing to be able to use the Autocad Web App on my iPad Pro's Safari it let me down when I needed it the most. Hope you can add more functionalities as we are seeing there’s iPads with M1 chip! Thanks.

Serious gaps in functionality. There are too many shortcomings. Basic functions like a chamfer tool, for example. I would like to ditch the laptop and use my iPad in the field but until all the basic functionality is there, AutoCAD for iPad has limited usefulness as a creation tool.

Neat product. Great product and very easy to use with Apple Pencil. Might be more difficult if you were using a phone vs an iPad due to screen size. Fairly strait forward to use with intuitive controls and great data back up so your projects are not lost.

Issues after purchasing. If you are having issues with autocad after you have purchased a membership try uninstalling and reinstalling. This resolved all issues for me.

Love it but.... I use AutoCad Lt on the computer all the time and until the last app update, I loved this app. The last update that added the cursor cross hairs really threw me off and I find it more difficult to use my Apple Pencil to draw. I like to draw stuff in AutoCad but it is slightly difficult for now until I get used to cross hairs function.

Forced sign in to see pricing. It’s free! Come on in!…. Little did you know Autodesk was a compressed air fiend who only wanted your info. “Here sign in, don’t have an account? come give us all that juicy info” The little bald man says. As he runs his greasy hands together after acquiring my email and name he then slaps me over the face with a hammer labeled “subscription service”. Doesn’t even give me a taste before denying me what I want.

Latest update. This app is a vital portion of my existence. It is too bad my company won’t get the paid for version. And the latest update has forced my entire map to completely zoom out so that all I see is a miniscule dot that I have to zoom into every time i have to open it. I used to open my map and see the lines I needed to work with. Now, it’s a complete pain every time I have to reopen my map.

No Longer Supports Leica Disto. Prior to the recent updates I would have given this 5 stars. I have been using this app in the field for quite a while in conjunction with a Leica Disto, beta testing this set up for m company. It was extremely productive in the field when producing field drawings. We had just begun to outfit some other engineers with the same set up when connection to the Leica disappeared. Without this, we may have to abandon using AutoCAD mobile for something else that will connect to a Bluetooth laser measuring device.
