HOW IT WORKS

Most aircraft today are equipped with ADS-B transponders that transmit positional data. Flightradar24 has a rapidly growing network of 35,000 ground stations to receive this data that then shows up as aircraft moving on a map in the app. In an expanding number of regions, with the help of multilateration (MLAT), we’re able to calculate the positions of aircraft that don’t have ADS-B transponders. Coverage is subject to change at any time.

An essential for the AvGeek and Planespotter. This app is an essential for the AvGeek or Planespotter. I use it many times every day, monitoring flights around the Philadelphia area. I can filter in/outbounds, and know exactly where they are at all times. I know which direction they are coming from, how low they are, and the rate the they are ascending and descending. This app is amazing, and definitely the best in its group. By many nautical miles. If you want a new hobby, start here. You will gain much interest in planes and aviation with this app. That’s how I started. Just scrolling around the map looking for cool planes, until I figured out that there are hundreds that pass over my immediate area every day! This app is also great for planespotting at airports. This app helped me get into that. Now I am truly an AvGeek with much knowledge about aviation and so much more to learn. Please enjoy this app.

Flight Radar. My previous version of FR24 was much better than the new version. In 3D view, pertinent flight data were displayed and constantly updated on screen especially track, altitude, speed and vertical speed. Track was especially helpful to know which runway was chosen. The new version shows none of the flight data on screen requiring having to leave the 3D view. These data should be displayed on screen like the old version. The new 3D view has a much slower response on my iPhone (6S) and terrible color display with the runway and highways appearing washed out while with terrible detail. The new version should be updated to provide the option to view the old version display along with the new 3D view. This app would be great if the 3D display could more accurately track a plane especially while landing. My experience is that the view shows the plane landing along the runway centerline about one in ten landings. Most landings are left and occasionally right of the runway and frequently too high. The creators of this app would get my highest praise if the landing accuracy could be improved. With the suggested changes and improvements, this app would be my favorite.

Subscriptions not applied. I currently have an annual Gold subscription that doesn’t expire till May. I am also on an annual Silver subscription that will continue when it expires. Maybe. The update applied today wiped out my subscriptions and when I tried to restore them, the Restore Subscriptions feature isn’t working either. Whoever put this poorly tested update into production needs to be fired. Period. Update: There was yet another update today (3 days later) that fixed the subscription issue. Love the app. Not impressed with the programmers or change management process they obviously use. I will give them two additional stars and, maybe, will increase the stars back to five at some point in the future.

Great information. I’ve often found myself struggling to remember how to get Siri to show me a list of nearby aircraft. Now, I don’t have to! It’s all here. Since I’m not a pilot, I don’t know if there’s more info than what I have here in this app, but I’m satisfied to see what details I do have access to. It’s a great way to check out what’s visible and get to familiarize myself with recurring flights. The only details I haven’t found yet is more specs on the particular aircraft, like the normal # of crew onboard and max passenger capacities. I also enjoy knowing the max speed and altitude. Short of those, I’ve found everything I know about! Great app! To me, worth the cost!

Amazing!!!. What an amazing app! I followed my wife’s flight all the way to DIA and even watched her taxi to the gate. I knew she was at Concourse A. I knew when she stopped because her speed reached zero. Sure enough, she let me know she was there right at that moment. I also knew the flight was going to be early because it tells you when the plane will arrive as you follow it. This app is awesome and it is very accurate and in real time!!! Great Job on this app! I wish it was one price to upgrade instead of subscriptions. I would pay for it but I won’t do subscriptions. I don’t know if you can have an alert set when the plane lands, but that would be an awesome feature. Thanks!!!

Satisfies my urge for Traveling. This app satisfies my travel urges! I am not in a position where I can travel as much as I could a few years ago. But, this app helps! Whenever I see a plane and I have even 30 seconds, I pull up the app, tap the plane that looks like it’s where the plane I saw is (there’s a photo of the plane model on the app, so I know it’s the right color as the one I saw) and I can see where they went to or from. If you tap the airport, you can see where it is, how long the flight has been, etc.! I even used the search feature to watch my partner’s flight so I knew when they got to their destination safely. And best part is that it’s completely free! Amazing

Yesterday’s update not good. I really like the idea of the app. We’re in a pretty rural area and when we see planes waaay up there now we can figure out what it is and other stuff. Updated this morning and all the smoothness is gone. Can’t see a plane flying or moving on the runways. They make a jerky move about every 15 seconds. It looks real strange to see a plane just staying in one place at 30,000 ft. Hope that gets put back to yesterday’s movements. Update Mar 24, 2022 I put the some stars to 5 because I have found a work around and because I like the idea of watching planes. When the planes stop moving I just have to resize the window on my iPad

✈️aviation enthusiast or not - get this app✈️. Non-avgeeks and avgeeks read - there’s stuff for both of you! I’m an aviation enthusiast and i have been for too long to remember (3-4 ish years) I got this app when there was a lite and a pro version a long time ago. Having experimented with the lite version, i upgraded. The reason for me telling you this is that i have experience with this app - Anyway this app is really great, especially his version. Easy to use, not slow or laggy (unless you zoom out to the whole Earth), and it is great overall. Click on a plane and it will give you route, type of plane, departure city and arrival city along with times, flight time, previous and future flights of the plane you clicked on, general line of the route, and a bunch of other great stuff. There is a subscription plan to get even more info about aircarft age, ATC data, and other avgeek stuff. You can check your flight times and see where your plane came from, search random flights and know info about them (if i searched PHL- JFK it would give me a list of different flight numbers from all the airlines that service the route). This app is really great especially for aviation enthusiasts. In addition to everything above - it allows us to know what is arriving what day and when, what’s departing, wind info and runway info. Incredible for planespotting Definitely get this app.

Purely Amazing. As and Air Traffic Controller my self I do find it nice having an application such as this. It works so beautifully well. Sometimes at night when I arrive home I’d hop on to see the aircraft that are still inbound to the airport I control. It works so well. One small complaint that isn’t really a complaint is the aircraft’s sometimes inaccurate positioning, for example when an aircraft lands I notice it continues even passing the runway. I had a small thought that it was ADS-B’s functionality when it comes to certain more older aircraft. But maybe it could be a glitch in the application? Besides that the application is awesome and really do encourage others who share a passion for aviation to download it.

Okay but. It’s okay since I have cousins who are pilots and flight attendants so I can easily track their travels yet the only thing that bothers me is when their flight is delayed it doesn’t give an update for the departure or arrival how inconvenient because what if you are a connecting passenger and don’t have the right info your going to miss your connection also the ads are annoying I have to close out every time then reopen the app to continue the process wish it could just be a completely free app instead of paying all the time it’s getting really annoying.

Very Useful Mobile Tracking (See below for suggestions). I will say I have been using this App for 3+ years, and I have recently just gotten a subscription. I do have suggestions for improvement starting with model variety, in specific for General Aviation and Helicopters. I do believe the model variety is very well put together for the 3D view, especially because of the most recent update implementing Infinite Flight Models(Well Done!). I came up with an idea that for helicopters, All of the helicopters in 3-D view are EC-135s, though I’ve observed on particular models like the Bell 407(B407), EC-130(EC30), Bell 412, EC-145(EC45) have their models on display on their previews, which I would like to see these models being used for their own 3-D view. There could also be more additions to expand the model pool like MD500(H500) and others. Another idea in mind, is the opportunity to allow the Aviation community to make liveries for specific aircraft, which must be approved by both the owner and the development team. This way, the model variety can stand out much further especially for popular tracked aircraft like YouTubers and any individual aircraft. (Examples; Bell 407(Med-Trans), JA789A ANA 777(BB-8 Livery), Custom private owned 3D Cessna 172)

I am likely leaving this app. I have enjoyed using the version of this app that I paid for, but I am not interested in paying a subscription of $0.83 a month just to get rid of ads. I do not care about all of the features, I just like seeing the radar. I am insulted by the lack of an ad free version that I can pay less for to just access the radar. $0.83 a month is more than I am willing to pay for that, since I do not care about the other features and I only used this app a few times a year anyway, therefore I will be getting rid of an app that I have enjoyed when I did use it. I do not allow ad supported apps to exist on my device. I am giving you three stars because your app is good, but I am disappointed and would like to give you two.

Option to hide sidebar; hold focus. I love everything about this app. It definitely can consume a lot of time depending on your interests. I paid for the Gold option and feel the app differentiates itself more than its closest competitor. Enhancement request: The ability to hold focus on a selected and temporarily slide or suppress the sidebar. I love the sidebar but it does consume a lot of space so having a toggle for this would be helpful. Finally I’d remiss if neglected to see the negative reviews from those who previously purchased the app. It is not reasonable to expect an app purchase is tantamount to a lifetime license including all upgrades. There are real costs associated with development and operating costs for data, systems. and support. That’s capitalism at work. I’d much rather pay for the app than see it go away. The devs set their pricing based on its value and the competing marketplace.

Too many filters?. Every time I hear a plane or helicopter fly by (I live near an airport) I bring up this app, to see…nothing, except for the airliner at FL3x0 way above me, not the helo I just heard fly by. Then I go to ADS-B exchange to see what it really was. Worthless app. Too many filters, apparently. The developer’s response missed my point entirely. I understand the need for filters beyond their control. Obviously the filters I’m referring to are not beyond your control when I can compare your app sided by side with info available on your competitors site (mentioned above), and they show it while you don’t. Your competition only shows info available free to the public, already filtered, as long as it’s squawking and not FAA-filtered. But you don’t. Also, Why would an aircraft need to be in your database to be displayed? The info as to callsign and type is still being broadcast, as evidenced by your competitor, so it should be displayed. Thanks for the generic auto-response though, it, along with your admission that you further filter returns than necessary convinced me that my rating is correct.

If your a plane spotter, you need this app. Flightradar24 is an outstanding app for those who have a love for aviation or an average business traveler who wants to keep track of their flight’s departure and arrival times. And anyone in between. Personally, I’m a plane spotter, it’s one of my favorite hobbies, and having the power to track in bound flights and departure times at any airport on Earth in my own hands whenever I want is just incredible and super handy. And this app does more than simply track flights, it tells you their altitude, speed, heading, distance and time from destination, it tells you a specific aircrafts age, when it was built, and an aircraft’s history of recent flights, as well as give you alerts on specific flights that you can personally select with your finger tips.

Caveat emptor on trial upgrades. I use this App for tracking my own airplane flight. It's really quite useful for this application. I can play back my flight up to several days after I land. It displays on a map. I decided to see if I could make it display on an aviation sectional map and found an option for ATC (air traffic control) boundaries, but I had to upgrade to gold. There was a selection in the APP on my iPad where I could do a 7 day free trial. Selecting that took me to the Apple App store, however, when I selected that option my card was billed and Apple would not refund my purchase. I wouldn't have minded provided I got the map with real ATC boundaries such as Class B airspace, but those options with enhanced information are worthlless. What is needed is an ability to overlay aviation sectional charts in place of street maps in order to make a flight tracking tool useful. I am surprised the developers don't understand this.

Rip off!. Hey developer, how about if you let people that paid you use the new app ads free and with the same basic functions we had in the paid app we purchased? Even if all the other new features do not work. That is OK. Give me what I paid for and I’ll be happy. I don’t need the new features, whatever those are. - I purchased the original Flight Radar. Me and others made it possible through our purchase of the app to get the app to where it is today. Now greed has taken over the developer and they want a month or yearly subscription. Hey refund the money you took for the original app and we’ll call it even. How about that? To add insult to injury, they are offering a “free” three month subscription to their service. Really? No sweetie, it is not “free,”it cost us what we paid for the app. I do have to give the greedy developer credit for at least giving us old timers at least three months of “free” service. Because unlike other developers that have become greedy, at least they gave us three months rather than just giving us the finger.

great app! some suggestions. this new Flightradar24 is a great improvement over the previous version, the “AR”-style feature is useful, especially with lots of traffic and low visibility for IDing aircraft, the 3D view is a strange waste of space imho. some suggestions: as a Ramp Agent at an airport, I track several flights at once. it would be useful to have a bookmarks-type folder or list where I can add several flights to track and switch between quicky, without having to re-search or go through search history. perhaps also having the featue of adding my own notes, such as parking locations, who is assigned to duty, etc. also useful would be the ability to sort said flights in this hypothetical folder by distance, STA, ETA, etc.

Pilot Must Have. This app has gotten better with every release. If you are a pilot or a super nerd aviation enthusiast this is the app for you. If you also get the app for monitoring aviation radio communications it becomes even more fun. Watch the plane fly it’s route and monitor approach or departure frequencies and try to pick out the plane your following. I have a private pilot license and this have a backup VHF radio..sometimes I will monitor my local airport, watch planes coming over my house and listen to radio communications until they land. It’s super fun for us aviation nerds. It also helps get familiar with local approaches for IFR flying by allowing you to watch the aircrafts flight track. This can be super helpful when flying for real. Great job on the app guys!! Work on importing a higher resolution cockpit view and showing more ground details. GREAT APP!! fun app. When you fly commercially and have internet access on the flight, fairly standard these days, it’s cool to hear you own pilot work his way through heaven traffic. Now the radio monitoring app may not have all the handoff radio frequencies, but you know they will eventually be handed off to tower..:-) happy flying to all!!

Airline Pilot recommended!. I absolutely love this app. I’m a captain on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner for the largest airline in the world. To see and use this technology is so enjoyable and engaging. No matter where you are you can look up at the sky and be able to see what kind of airplane is flying overhead and where it’s going. The additional flight parameters and information are also entertaining to see. When I’m waiting for an inbound flight I can quickly check its position to coordinate my own outbound preparations. If I could make any improvements to this app I would create the ability to tag a future outbound flight to text me any delay notifications. I’d also create the ability to tag specific outbound airline and fleet so I’ll know if all of the airplanes of my fleet and base have departed or are delayed. It would help when I’m on call and could prepare for possible re-crewing of an aircraft. In any case, the developers of this app have done an absolutely wonderful and commendable job and I happily send my regards and compliments on a job well done!

Eh, okay. I’ll keep the app for a while & see if it gets better. It has huge potential if they loosen up the locked features that are free everywhere else. I’ll give you 3 stars based on the app itself ran relatively smooth. Pros: * The 3-D filter is really cool! * Love the label feature that shows which airline in flight. Cons: * Semi accurate on live military flights - didn’t even show a military plane that showed up on another “free” app. I found it to be significantly inaccurate when comparing it to other apps & web sites. * A bit cumbersome on the learning curve, could be made easier. * A LOT of the features you have locked are available free on other websites & apps that your hoping to gain money from people. You’ve taken the unlocking of features a bit far considering it’s free information out there. Revised after developers response: I just love responses back that totally miss the point & pass off responsibility. Thanks to you ‘re response - I’ve deleted the app & will continue to use my other app that by the way is free & does NOT charge for the same features YOU LOCK. You impress no one with your weasel response, so I don’t care to use your app anymore.

Amazing app for everyone. This app has to be the best app for aviation enthusiasts ever. You can view all the simple things you would need to know about a plane for free, and the ads aren’t even that annoying for something free. And if it really does bother you that much, buy the silver subscription it is incredibly affordable and anyone who has the tiniest bit of income can get it. This app has kept me entertained and interested, it really has taught me a lot about plane models and flight patterns as well; living close to KATL (the busiest airport in the world.) whenever I see a plane or hear it I can easily pull up the app, and check everything I need to know. I have one suggestion, I enjoy bookmarking aircraft and watch the route they follow, and I think maybe it could give you an alert if they fly over you or are close to you, very helpful for plane watchers probably as well. Summary: Incredibly good app, subscriptions are affordable and is very cool.

Great app but needs improvements. The app is great for several reasons. I find myself on it constantly each day. One big problem I have is the app doesn’t have all the airports on it that it should in my opinion. For an example I live close to a regional airport and if you zoom into it’s there on the map but if you what any information on or flight schedules etc you can’t click on it and will have to google it which I feel is a big inconvenience. The airport that I am talking about is Vermilion Regional Airport (DNV) which is quit busy everyday. I hope the developers see my review and consider add the airport along with others that has been forgotten about. Thanks

Fascinating and addictive. Even if you only have a passing interest in aviation, this app can be addictive. Just looking at the air traffic at your local airport, or looking at the area of the Ukraine and see what’s in the air (it does show quite a bit of military aircraft). And the setting where you get an alert if any aircraft in the world being tracked squawks 7700 which is an emergency you get to see some fascinating situations. The only bad part is you have no way of knowing if it’s just a minor issue or an engine on fire. You can tell a bit of what’s going on by watching the aircraft: today I saw an airliner in Peru turn back around to head back to an airport and there was no pattern etc it went straight in and was descending so fast I was afraid it wasn’t going to make it. I’m surprised that I use this app every day.

An aviation lovers dream. As a young man I always enjoyed watching the planes fly over if they made their approach to our local airport. Even now, as an old man, I still am fascinated by the wonders of aviation. Now that the technology has advanced to this stage, it is all the more rewarding to have this information at our fingertips. I am thankful for having the ability to track airliners with the additional capacity to see live all the accompanying data related to the flight. I do have one regret however. On the Mayday alerts, unless I am right there with my phone at the instant the alert is sounded, the information quickly disappears from view and is lost forever. I am hoping this flaw can be corrected.

WHOA! This isn’t cool.. The latest update states I can opt out of sharing information through Settings. I have yet to find how to do that in Settings. Also there seems to be no way to get past the opening screen unless one agrees to share their info to help you do marketing and share with others. This is the main reason I feel many if not most people are very reluctant to update apps. Would you please explain where in Settings I need to go. Love this app, have for years as a Silver member. UPDATE: You fixed it. Wow! That was quick. We can now load right in to the app with no problem. Thank you very much.

iPhone ok...iPad no way. This app was clearly written for the iPhone. When you use the iPad in portrait mode, the flight information takes up the whole left-hand side of the screen which gives you half of the screen for the map. If you get rid of the flight information box on the left-hand side of the screen, you stop tracking your flight. Why the developers didn’t allow you the ability to slide up and down the aircraft information to show it or hide it and give you almost a full screen of the map, as they did on the iPhone, is a great question. If they did that, my reading for the iPad version would go to a 4 or even a 5. Thus, my two star rating is for the iPad version and I would give it a four for the iPhone version. I guess the intent is not to have you be able to look at a large view on an iPad.

Great but has one problem. When you are in the main screen you can choose the type of map you want to see, such as road, terrain, or hybrid. But when you select an aircraft and do a playback of its previous flights the only map type that shows is terrain with no city names and is practically useless. When I’m trying to find out where my aircraft has flown, being able to see cities, borders and roads and their names would be helpful. Please add this feature and I’ll give 5 stars till then you only get two. Any update on this? Seems a very easy fix to add this in. Technically you aren’t even adding another map, you are just making it available when on the flight play back screen. I’m considering canceling my subscription over this and finding another app that does what I need.

Awesome Application Would Highly Recommend. I signed up for a silver membership and so far I am thrilled with using the app. I am still learning all the ins and outs but it’s fairly easy to use. I am not sure how to see military aircraft or how to add Air Force One to favorites but I love that it shows the medical helicopters. The airport information is great and the mapping is spot on; when I see a plane in the sky and look at the map the location is on point. I did try the AR viewing the sky with a plane but it didn’t show up for some reason. Maybe that particular jet wasn’t visible? It didn’t show in the regular map either so I’m guessing it was able to be tracked. Overall I would highly recommend supporting this app and getting.a membership. I use it on my iPhone, iPad, an PC laptop. also use it when flying drones to ensure I am no where near other aircraft. Cheers!

The best flight app. This is the best flight tracking app by far. I like this so much, I actually bought it, and I buy very few apps. I tried them all, and this one is the most information and shows flight information not only of your flight but, but all the surrounding flights. I especially like 3-D mode where you can see the plane flying and spin around it from outside the plane in real time. Very cool! It’s great if you’re on a flight and have access to Wi-Fi to track your own flight in real time. You can look at the map of your flight and see other planes coming either under or above you, then you look out the window and see them! Such a great app.

Amazing app!. I use this app more than almost any other one on my phone! I have always loved airplanes and anything that flies, and Flight Radar 24 gives me ability to identify almost every aircraft that flies over my head. The amount of technology this packs into my little phone is freakishly amazing! It allows you to see everything that's flying all over the globe (with the exception of certain military aircraft). Also, it's well worth the annual paid membership fee to me to be able to get all of the extra info and functionality. My only complaint is that it's addictive!

Ads make app unusable. The app is by far the best at tracking planes, and being able to filter by airport, airline, equipment, etc. my favorite is the option for arrivals only as well as departures from specific airports. Now to the bad: while I’m perfectly fine with the ads, got to get paid somehow. There is one major design flaw, when you use the search button to filter, when tracking your intended flight on the live view map. The banner on the top blocks the menu buttons on the top, meaning your only option is to force quit the app every time instead of using the back button behind the ad. Maybe that was the purpose but ads aren’t supposed to break the app which this doing. Upgrades are supposed to entice you gain more information with in the app; not make it work how it was intended.

Personal ATC. For someone who has more than a passing interest in aircraft, this is a must. I know the display “jumps” from time to time (install your own radar on the roof maybe), and it doesn’t tell you “everything” about “every” aircraft but if ya go out to the airport sometime (Dallas/Fort Worth) you can see the aircraft coming from Tulsa and Tulagi, from St. Louis (MO) and Saint Petersburg (Russia). I live 9 DME on the Ft. Worth (FTW) Localizer. It’s interesting to know who’s landing (and who doesn’t have the needle centered) when I’m outside working in the yard and just sitting on the patio having a beer I turn the iPad orienting to North and can see everybody in that portion of sky. OK, maybe I need to get a “life” but this is a fun Ap!

Great App. I’m sure happy I discovered this. I love aviation and it’s so nice to be able to see what planes are flying in my area. My niece is a flight attendant and it’s a lot of fun to see her land and take off at the various locations. Also, the other night my dad who lives outside of Las Vegas was watching plane after plane fly in to McCarran airport - or the string of diamonds as it is often called. I was able to look on the app and tell him the description and size of each plane that was flying overhead that he could see, as well as the ones coming. We both had a lot of fun and he called the next night and wanted to do it again. There are so many advantages to having the app and these are just a few. I also appreciate being able to be alerted when a plane has in emergency situation. It would be nice to know what the emergency is but at least this is nice to have. It seems to freeze occasionally when planes are landing or taking off but overall seems to be very accurate. I’ve tried other aviation apps and this seems to meet my needs the best.

Capt Joey Raptor (slick). Hands down the most accurate (real time) app I have ever used. We will be outside in the pool and look up to see the Ghetto Bird aka sheriffs Copter going by and sure enough , open the app and there it goes , with soo many different options to follow his path as well as his journey. I’ve been a test pilot for company’s like Hobby town as well as traxxas and most recently Big Al’s Model airplane world. After this app I finally signed up to get my private pilot license. I had a little mishap my first solo and had to declare an emergency or in my world a Mayday Mayday , I totaled the aircraft (rental). But my wife recorded the whole thing on this app. Got a good chuckle from her on that one….. See ya in the sky

Love it. I love this app! I live right next to the Grand Rapids airport, so I like to see what plane I’m looking at. It tells you all kinds of info like type, flight plan, tail number, and airline. Although sometimes the AR doesn’t work great, because I can see a plane, but it says it’s in a completely different direction. One thing I would like to see on this app would be plane crashes highlighted. Other than that, it’s a fantastic app. One more thing, I want have a filter for flight diversions. Okay, so the AR is working much better now, and O figured out that emergencies are highlighted. But, one thing I want next would be to see reports of what’s going on if at all possible on the emergencies.

Once a 5 star App now a mediocre 1 star App. I am so disappointed in your decision to go down this road of turning this once great app into an advertising billboard. Not only did you add these terrible ads you added ads that specifically do not allow you to exit out them, and purposely make you have to click on the ad in order to close it. Also you have made these ads appear in a strategic way where a user will accidentally click on a ad when trying to open something completely different on the app. SHAME ON YOU FOR RUINING A ONCE GREAT APP. I’ve even in the past spent money on the app to unlock the features before you decided to turn a great app into a trashy one, because back then, I respected the app and enjoyed using in, but now I wouldn’t even spend a cent on it because of your decision to choose greed over providing a consumer friendly app. If you want to make money, then simply charge a one time download, instead of ruining the whole app.

Fun to Use!. I have been using this app for about six months. I started with a trial of the Gold Subscription, then went to the free option. When there was a random sale on the Gold Sub, I went right back to it - there is just so much cool and interesting information! I am by no means an aviation enthusiast. I have a C Crane SSB radio that lets me hear nearby flight radio and I’ll jump on the app to see who’s above - it’s really neat! But it is also fun to just see where flights are headed or where in the world they came from. You can get lost (in a good way) just watching them fly on the screen. One thing I’d like to see eventually evolve is the Apple Watch App. It is neat to have it show on your wrist some general information and a simple map with some flights. My dream would to be able to zoom in/out and move around within the map on your wrist! Hopefully someday! Overall, I am a happy customer/subscriber and very much enjoy this app and service. Huge shoutout to the developer for making such a great experience!

In a word, “Wow”!. I was curious about all the noise I was hearing caused by low flying commercial aircraft overhead. I discovered this app in the process of researching airport flight information. The free version of the app is amazing. I can identify what is flying over, how high it’s flying, where it is coming from and where it is going. Hats off to the developers! The “bummer” is that if you want to unlock some of the other cool features you have pay for a subscription. I would gladly pay a few dollars for this app, maybe more, but the subscription model is deal breaker for me (-1 star for that). Others have commented that the app could be purchased outright in the past and the subscription service is relatively new. I know businesses need to make money, but a subscription is not cool with an “app” in my book.

Perfect for the Aviation Enthusiast!. This is hands down the best app on the entire App Store. It gives you all of the flight details you could ever imagine and then some. They don’t constantly force the upgrade subscription options on you if you’re using the Basic version, however I would highly recommend upgrading because it makes the app that much better (if that’s even possible!) I pay for the Gold subscription and it’s worth every penny. I would highly recommend this for my fellow aviation enthusiasts, frequent travelers, or just someone who wants to look up at the sky and know where a plane is headed!

If tracking a flight is all you need.... ...then this app is for you! I downloaded this app when my children traveled abroad for their vacation. Being the over-concerned person/mom that I am, I thought I’d feel a *little* better knowing where they were while in flight. Did it help calm my nerves? You betcha! Was I less concerned that they were so far away from me and that there was nothing I could do about it? Not a chance! I was really impressed with how accurate the information was. For instance, for one flight it said it would land 20 min early than the ETA from the airline so (naturally) I called them as soon as the app said the plane had landed and they called me back within 5 min! Satisfied! 👍🏻

Keep going. Heads up I’m an airplane enthusiast. I love this app so dam much and I use it just about every weekend. I go to my nearest plane spotting location and use this app to see the planes on final approach and the ones on that taxiway too. This app is basically what makes plane spotting enjoyable. I do have some complaints though. For some reason there is this glitch where when a plane lands on this app, occasionally it will keep going beyond the runway even though the plane is safe in real life. It’s not that big of a deal, but I do find it kinda annoying when you are trying to find realism in the app. I also think that the prices for the memberships are reasonable, but it would be really awesome if it were a bit lower. But overall this is a great app and I totally recommend it to just about anyone who has somewhat of an interest in planes. I use it to watch my relatives fly out over the radar and like to think about what they are doing on the flight. I would love to see at least one more perk added to the basic membership just to make things better. But yes I love just about everything about this app.

Goodbye Flight Aware Hello Flightradar24!. I’m an aviation geek and loved Flight Aware but for the longest time, I always wished I could know the tail numbers and registration information of an aircraft I was viewing from my lanai. I would often go online, look up all of the registration numbers of a particular aircraft in a fleet and try to find which one I was looking at. I remarked to a friend of mine how I would look up these aircraft and that’s when he introduced me to this app. Now I can easily point my iPad or iPhone at an approaching or departing aircraft and find that information. I also love the feature of being able to see recent and past photos of that very same aircraft! Just a remarkable, easy to use app! I’d HIGHLY recommend this app to ANYONE that’s an aviation geek like me or for someone a lot more advanced such as pilots, ground crew and flight crew.

Undo update. I love this app. I use it to help track inbound flights of people I’m picking up to know when to start heading in to the terminal. No waiting allowed inside LAX so it’s real time flight info and the ability to watch planes taxi to their gate is perfect to keep lanes clear and then swoop in as they’re walking out. It’s such a wonderful tool to have. BUT.... Whatever you did yesterday to fix what I didn’t know was broken, please undo it. I can no longer see helicopters, specifically police helicopters. There’s one buzzing around over my head and I’d prefer to know if it’s LAPD or Fire or Medical or whatever without having to go outside and look up. This was such a huge part of my love for this app. Please put it back and I’ll let it slide when a helicopter icon is used but a picture of a plane comes up when you select it. And vice versa. Love the loons and the occasional ground vehicles. But please put the cop choppers back up. Thanks

Favorite app!. I love this app. I geek out with it all the time, causing much embarrassment to my wife in front of friends. App correctly identifies planes and helicopters every time. Flight and plane history is super interesting, and it's a great app to have while traveling as you're able to see where your plane is even when it's several legs away. If you want to know what you saw from the plane on your trip, use the flight playback to see exactly where you went. The uses for this app are endless for nerds like me. Only suggestion: flight playback map currently only has a satellite view. Please add options for hybrid or standard map views!

Please reign in some of the advertisers. Except for some oddities, such as planes of landed several miles off the runway, the app helps me understand what’s going on in my area as there are a lot of police flights and I’m near an airport. I understand and appreciate that the free version has to be supported in some manner, But please reign in some of your advertisers such as the hero wars and Township. Having to suffer through what seems to be five minutes of mostly misleading before being able to go on, you still have to be very careful about touching any place on the screen as it will take you to the download webpage. I have absolutely no problem with advertisements as I cannot afford a subscription, and I have even followed up on a few, but these advertisements in particular make me dread using the application.

Love the app, but could be better!. I love the app. I live under a flight lane and it is fun to see what the plane is etc. I also love the new 3D addition. However it is a little hard to use. It spins around too fast- very sensitive. And you can’t freeze it in place. I would like to see it be a bit more interactive where I can stop the plane and take a look around where it was flying over- or some way to check out what is on the ground better. I can’t find anything because the plane moves away too fast and it is just not easy to see anything. I also would like to add a pin for certain places, such as my house, so I can locate it while looking at the 3D views. Great app! Keep improving!

AR BEEN BROKEN FOR YEAR PLUS. AR has been broken (showing the windows with plane info popping up in top left corner barely showing just a sliver of the window cant quite click it) been like this ever since i first downloaded it for iphone 6splus n now on my iphone 11 pro max and both ipad 7(i think ) n ipad 12.9 newest. So more than a year most likely 2 or three years i noticed it. Been paying for this app yearly for awhile n just kept assuming itd be fixed but never did so i might look elsewhere to see if i can get full years worth of advertised features somewhere else....still no response on this more than 2 year long issue andi notice handful of others saying same thing.... this will be my final subscription, i have waited long enough. 3 plus years gold member user (on diff icloud accounts at one time i had two gold memberships year long on 2 diff iclouds.. but 3 plus years for me using..yes i am a sucker lol )

Bait and switch. I was extremely happy with the app as I paid for it before the subscriptions were in effect to remove ads and unlock all the features. I had shared the app with many others touting how many amazing features it had. Now I feel I’ve been cheated because even though I paid for all those features to be unlocked, I’m back to a free version essentially and have to pay a subscription if I want ad free and all the features unlocked. It’s wrong to treat the consumers that put money into your app before it got as popular as it is now. Update*** 4-2-18 I still feel cheated, the amount of users that are asking for cross platform compatibility is minimal. Anyone using iOS can re-download via previous purchases to use the original paid app on iPhone or iPad. Most users that use iOS are not asking for cross compatibility as they prefer the Apple echo system. The bare minimum you as developers could of done for your supporters that started your success by buying the original app is giving complimentary ad free option to those that purchased the original pro app. The subscription based model just spits in the face of those that brought you success. What about when iOS changes their file system again in the future and the original paid app is no longer supported. Those that paid are just out of luck?

Add DARK Mode!!. Hello Devs, This is a wonderful app. It has many great features and is truly the way to go for anyone. Whether you’re just an aviation enthusiast or a professional who knows all about the planes, routes, procedures, etc. But a couple things are preventing me from adding the fifth star. There are just two things I wish could be included in the app. The first one I’m sure is doable, the other, not so sure. 1: Dark mode. Simply put, sometimes I look at this app at night and wish the white parts of the screen were black or at least a dark grey color. 2: Taxi diagrams for airports. Often I use this app alongside LiveATC listening to ground frequencies. I’d like to see the airplanes on the flight radar move along the assigned taxiways that I hear on the frequency. If these two things could be added to the app, I’m certain users would enjoy their experience 10x more! I hope to hear from you all! Best, Carrington :)

Superb Av-Geek Tool!. I’ve used FlightRadar24 with a premium subscription since about 2014. I can set up custom alerts whenever aircraft types I’m interested in (eg: 747-SP) turn on their transponders anywhere on the planet. Also interesting are the Emegency alerts (7700 on the transponder). I’ve seen a few aircraft that reached CRZ altitude and had emergency decompression, followed by descents at very high rates—all such details are easy to view. Likewise, I have set up a filter to only show jets in CRZ travelling at greater than 600 knots—this often occurs off Japan’s coast with west-bound planes, due to unusually strong tailwinds in that area. I also enjoy watching aircraft in holding patterns, at stacked levels, due to storms over our local airports. There’s many more neat statistics, featured flights, weather radar overlays, etc. but FlightRadar24 has given me education and enjoyment—highly recommended :-)

Oh my lord, the ads!. So painfully ad heavy. Soon after opening, a huge ad crashes in, which you can’t close, even when it’s finished, making it literally required to close and reopen app to continue use. Looked at purchase options. Sub price only (too hefty for what the app offers), no option to purchase with one payment. Not really worth the price for non regular fliers, not worth keeping the free version because the ads make it literally useless. Shame. Used to be much better than this.

Great but Needs to fix this bug. FR24 is a great app for tracking flights, finding aircraft data and much more. This app is really good as I use it everyday. But there’s this bug I’ve been dealing with over the past week. This bug is where I go on to FR24 but I don’t see any aircraft on the map including everything I search up has no results; so could try fix this bug Thanks

Why do I have to put up with an exclamation mark on my old paid up version. This used to be the best flight tracking app available. I loved it, bought the paid version and in-app purchases. I am very satisfied how this original app works and do not need the bells and whistles of the new version. I am ‘mature-age’ and simply cannot afford annual subscriptions for the new version. And indeed, do not agree with this system of purchase. And as the free-version has adverts I will not use it. I now find my original paid version has an exclamation mark, which I cannot remove, in the top right corner. I KNOW of the new version. I do NOT need to have it rammed down my throat! Please, how can I get rid of this unwanted alert on a version I have PAID for? I have searched in vain for a way of contacting you direct but all I get is re-direction to my app! Please, remove this unwanted intrusion. I have now lowered my rating of the app owing to this.

Disappointed user. I purchased the Pro version a while ago to find it no longer works on my iPhone. It would appear that after previously supporting you, you want me to now pay for a subscription based service. Your previous business model was clearly ill conceived and while a decent app, I’m offended that you are doing this to loyal customers. Why can’t you at least grandfather your existing Pro app users, and offer subscription based app to new customers. No thanks to the offer of a subscription FlightRadar24, you are clearly good developers but you lack ethics and any real commitment to supporting users who supported you.

Best flight tracker available. At first when using this app I found it infuriating as there was little information on the web to show me the intricacies of using the app. I paid for the gold level up front so i kept persisting with the app. I have an private airport transfer service so knowing precisely when a flight has landed and when to go into the airport is vital to my business and to the service that I offer to my customers. Since I made the effort to be able to understand this app I will never look anywhere else for another flight app as nothing comes close to the accuracy of your product.

Not as good as I thought it was.. I heard that this app was awe-inspiring so I really wanted to give it a try. When I went into the app it wouldn’t let me use AR and said that my device has no camera! That is wrong-and I’m sure most devices have cameras. I also learnt that you need to pay a fortune to actually get half the features of this app. I also realised the AR feature is included in the basic version so it’s stupid that it says I can’t use it. And the weather settings, why would you have to pay to see the weather? It’s so silly that you’re trying to make money out of people buying opportunities to see the weather! I’m disappointed so please improve this rather demanding and silly app with some better content. 🤬

Tonydownunder. I too paid years ago and feel a bit miffed, but get over it, we all have to eat. I took the silver subscription and miss one thing, the total planes globally and the number on screen. Please can we have that back? BTW can I get rid of the settings bar that is constantly on the bottom of the screen because if you return the counter to the same place I wouldn’t be able to see it. Thanks.

Disappointed. Like others enjoyed this original app and payed for full version and it was worth it. New upgrades don’t cater for those that supported. Now stuck with no detail and an app full of ads unless I pay again each month. Disappointed.

Double dipping.... disabled my paid for app. Way back when I showed my loyalty to your app by paying for upgrades which presumably put food on your table. You have unilaterally remotely disabled my app and I can’t access the app functions I bought (money that I could use to put food on my table). Now you want more of my money to pay a subscription. Nice way to treat a loyal customer... NOT!!! Btw... do you pay for you data volunteers or just profit from them? “ Flightradar24 relies on volunteers around the world for the majority of our coverage. Find out how you can contribute and host a receiver.”

Paid for it back in 2014, now endless subscription nagging. Edit: after writing the below review I tried FlightAware and it is heaps better. Free version has no nags, more information, and a cleaner UI. So long, FR24! Deleted! I use this app maybe once every 6 months for live tracking a flight, and it was well worth the $1.27 I paid to support it back then. But the incessant nagging to subscribe makes it obvious you guys are just after money and no longer care about the user experience except for continuously paying customers. Literally every screen has a nag on it somewhere to subscribe. Yuck. I don’t care about new features and will not subscribe to your overprices business model. As a previous supporter I just want a basic experience without harassment.

Great App, Needs a CarPlay App Too. Hi Team at Flightradar24, You have a great app, but I would love to see a version made for CarPlay. My friends and I frequently visit the airplane viewing area at our local airport and would love to be able to see on the CarPlay screen what the next aircraft that is coming in and also where it’s coming from. I hope this would be a possibility. Cheers,

The original, and IMO the best flight tracker.. Started using on the computer before apps was a thing. But so much handier now always having it the pocket when you see or hear something that isn’t normal. And in an instance you can find out what it is, as long as it has a transponder that is. An awesome app, intuitive and super easy too use. Unfortunately some features are missing from the free app, but you get what you pay for. 😁😁 Thank you for leaving app fully usable in the free model, and not filling the whole screen up ads, pop ups, and everything else most developers do. 😊🤙

Adware. Used to be great. Free version had limited functionality, want more functionality pay for it, fair enough. The day the app started displaying invasive timed full screen ads is the day I deleted it. I paid thousands of dollars for a smartphone so use the way I want, not for it to be used as a billboard for ads. Edit: To the developer: there’s no point sending me the irrelevant canned message that you sent me. Clearly you didn’t read what I said. I’ve deleted the app, I’m not going to reinstall it to send you a screenshot, nor should I have to. I’ve found a better app now that doesn’t have the same problem.

Thank you. I love the way how I can track the planes, And I can track my friends/family, it helps me see some of my favourite planes, and see other type of planes in different places of the world. I wish I could rate it 10/10 but it’s only 5(as max)! I’m really glad I found this app, thank you for making it

Missing a lot of flight data. Flightradar24 missed almost all helicopters in my area where most other services worked. After a lot of excuses from Flightradar24, I never got a truthful answer. Gold package was worth nothing that I already could get for free. In the past, all HELOs could be seen but not now. I can trust my eyes and ears more that Flightradar24. Thats very poor considering I’m in a high flight area. Not trustworthy I also just received a explanation on why they can not track some aircraft. Their explication is simply untrue, 1- I am in a large city and all aircraft are tracked, just some helos are missing 2- every other program (including the free ones) track these helos using ADS-B See radarbox or ADS-B exchange (free versions) and you will get better information

Screwed over their loyal customers. LOYAL CUSTOMERS WHO SUPPORTED THE APP WERE STABBED IN THE BACK BY THE DEVELOPERS. VERY DISAPPOINTING! DO NOT GET THIS APP! This once used to be one of the best apps. It was so good that I even paid to get the premium version. Then they disabled the app and created a new one where you have to pay a ridiculously priced subscription fee to access content without stupid ads popping up every few seconds. Ever since then the app has just gone from bad to worse to the point where even using the app is an annoying experience. Would not recommend at all and I’m probably going to end up deleting and finding an alternative flight tracker app.

Subscription ruined a great app. It is really pathetic that the developer has moved from single pay in-app purchases for additional features to ongoing subscription. Unless you provide something new for every monthly payment, then subscription is a con. I don’t want to be constantly marketed to so I’d probably pay (again!) to remove ads (although that shouldn’t be required for pro users of the old app) I will not continually pay for supposedly added features, some of which are a bit gimmicky

Ripped Off. I don’t normally write reviews because no app never usually annoys me enough to be bothered. But I can’t help but feel ripped off having paid for flight radar 24 a few years back and using the app with no issues what so ever and then the developer decides to create a new app that pretty much does the same thing and makes the old app not work anymore forcing you to get the new app. Which isn’t so much of a problem but when they want you to pay again to access the same features as you previously had in the old app you can’t help but feel ripped off, I feel they should give us the paid version of the new app since we can’t use the paid version of the old app. Severely disappointed I would not recommend.

Great app. It's a great app I use it quite a bit just to see where the toll helicopters are coming from. The only thing I would like to come back would be where there going. It now only shows where they came from. All in all great app and I have turned a lot of people into it.

FRLite was brilliant for casual user, but now buggered.. Very disappointed at this - it’s been a fun app for the casual user, but you’ve buggered it. I’ve just downloaded the new free version and am being driven totally nuts by an ugly constantly-flashing advertisement for poker machines, which are the most immoral form of gambling yet invented. Who in your company thought it was a good idea to trash your brand like this? Ads I get - but stupid and immoral ones are counter productive.

Flightradar24. Have had many excursions using my Flightradar24 program over the last 15 years and it amazes that F24 developer’s keep updating the program for the betterment of member/Subscribers Keep up the fantastic portrayal of everything to do with Airplanes and flying around our Earth Stan Walton now I’m 81 and am able understand to stay with changes

Works most of the time. Yeah it’s ok but it doesn’t work all the time from what I have found out after having it for about a year when I mean it doesn’t work I have had aircraft over the top of my home and there is nothing there on this app so I do question it’s capability and this is not a one off it’s happened on a regular basis but in saying that it’s pretty good for it to be free example so if you are at a airport and wondering when your loved ones are landing it great but if you are looking for something more than that in my opinion yeah it’s not so great but hey it’s free

Plane information. I really don’t like the large window that opens when you touch a flight ... the photo is far too big and relevant information too small. I much preferred the old version. Sad that when something is so good, you have to change it just for the sake of doing it. Otherwise I can see nothing is actually better.

Wondeful. I'm primarily writing this review to counter the numerous one-star reviews whining about the subscription model. As a user, I get that people are annoyed with subscription models. It feels "wrong" having to essentially pay again for what you thought you already paid for. From a developer AND a user point of view, it's more complicated than that. I've had one-off-fee apps that were awesome - until they reach the natural plateau, which is when revenue for the developer dries up and along with it, so do resources to work on updates. Over time the development stops until the app is essentially a useless shadow of its old self. That's obviously not great from a user OR a developer point of view. I'm happy to pay a recurring fee, trusting this will ensure continued development and maintenance. Time will tell if that's the case here, but for now I'm extremely happy with the app and fine with the subscription model.

The developers have no integrity. I rarely write up any reviews, but I feel totally ripped off. I rarely use this app, it’s not a necessity. I use it for fun once in a while to check a friends flight path, but I liked it enough at the time to have paid money to have the ads removed. It wasn’t the cheapest app in the app store either. Now I find the app filled with ads and a new monthly subscription model. The originally version which I paid for is not showing up on the App Store for me to re-install either. The developers should of spun up a new app with new features and a subscription model pricing rather then force all their existing users who paid for the app to suddenly get an app with ads again. Greedy developers!

Not Happy. I downloaded this app having been told by a friend the basic plan was free. I immediately received a message saying payments would begin in 14 days. I deleted the account and app. Emails are backwards and forwards with a different person replying. I cannot get back in now I’ve deleted and need to stop payments. Each reply email gives me the same instructions, useless as I deleted the account. I wouldn’t recommend downloading unless you know exactly what you’re doing. I’m new to mobile apps and the company support isn’t helping, just going in circles!!

Used to feed as Ybsu3. FR24 is perfect app to follow aircraft in your area. I live very close to the airport (it’s my back fence) so applied for their radar setup but was denied. Since then I’ve worked away more often than not so it’s hard to be organised with the cheaper equipment I purchased (raspberry pi, tv tuner, and a homemade antenna) to help continuous feed to the site. My now wife works at the airport currently so have a renewed vigour to know when flights are arriving or departing, FR 24 does that. Sometimes it tells me when dinner should be ready or not....based on their informed up to date information. I recommend this app to follow aircraft or arrivals and departures in your area.

What’s going on with opacity of planes?. Went to use the app for the first time in a few weeks, must have been updated since then, because now the opacity of planes is so bad you can hardly see them! The only to brighten the planes so you can see them is change the brightness of the map til it’s so dark you can’t make out any features. If you’re going to add opacity, at least make it a sliding scale option so we can choose how we want to see the planes, otherwise I’ll start going to another app.

Why a subscription. A few years ago I purchased the equivalent of Silver Flight Radar . No problems , no advertising rubbish. Now I have a new phone, same phone number and have lost the service that I paid for only to be able to get the free crappy Flight Radar full of advertising . The alternative seems to be to buy Silver again and go to a subscription scheme where it continues to cost me. Not happy this is something I have already bought and paid for. Please advise if this is the case.

So much tracking, so many ads. FlightRadar24 does what it says on the box, but it also has SO MANY annoying and obnoxious ads. Not just banner ads either. Full-screen ads which appear at random, which you can’t dismiss until a timer expires, with [X] close boxes obscured. Google “Dark Patterns” to see the kind of deliberately user-hostile behaviors they’re using. There are also several dozen trackers enabled by default. Massive amounts of surveillance for an airplane tracking app. You can use FlightAware and get basically the same functions without any of this nonsense. While it’s true that you can also get rid of the ads by subscribing to FlightRadar24, I don’t want to give them any of my money because their ad behavior is so shonky. They have lots of competitors. Use one of those instead.

Agree NOT good for already paid professional version. Agree with the other reviewers response. If you are a past full professional app buyer, why are you asking for more money to subscribe in unlocking features for example basic alerts on flights? It’s obvious why, no reasonable excuse for basic functionality adding “alerts” to force customers into a subscription, simply not justified for such minimal basic capability. I don’t care about earthquakes etc. pure simple flight tracking and alerts is all I need which I had previously on the pro versions I paid in full.

Brand damaging. I quite happily paid a one off charge for the old app that I use infrequently... I’d be surprised if there were enough people using this app often enough to justify a subscription model - it’s obviously a way to milk more revenue. It’s a shame they don’t honour the spirit of their previously paying customers and update the previous app. I personally value trust in a relationship - I don’t trust a company that can so easily leave their customers behind. Time will tell how profitable they remain - they are clearly isolating many people who have valued them in the past.

Last update caused huge issues. I have updated the app with the last update on 10th April and now it's not showing planes that I can clearly see or hear flying over and seems to have other issues like there's a delay as if it's stopped tracking and the screen is jigging! Previous to this update it was working perfectly what have you done to it? I live very close to a regional airport and are under the flight path of commercial flights both domestic & international I used to be able to watch them and track with ease now it's really bad and pretty useless! Can you please fix this and get the app back to what it was. And if this is a ploy to get people to pay for the premium version forget it I'm not! Funny just after I updated the app I got a couple of things come up asking to join up to premium now it doesn't want to work that's pretty bad!

Absolutely Amazing!!!. I have bought the Gold Subscription for $50 per year and it is amazing. Without ads the app is so much faster and you can see great info like weather, age, serial number and playback history for a WHOLE YEAR. You can have a satellite image so you can see where the plane went over. The app is so accurate and the AR view is cool when you are in a busy airspace it’s hard to see the plane. All the other apps don’t give the amazing 3D view or the same amount of detail and information. Other people should definitely upgrade even to Silver because it is amazing. Amazing app and it is definitely worth the money

Just another subscription app... Twist it anyway you like. You had a great product. Then you got greedy. I’ve seen many businesses do this in the past-only to shoot themselves in the foot by squeezing the customer too hard. Loyalty is paramount. Never underestimate your customer. They will punish you always. Look at your recent reviews. Do they not tell you something?! They seem to be falling on deaf ears though. By forcing a subscription on your existing customers, you not only anger then, but further alienate them from you. Not smart. You won’t be around for long-trust me. There is no way I’m paying for another app subscription. Just no way. Especially after I paid for the original version. Badly done. I have a new iPhone SE running iOS11 and, no I cannot download the older version I paid for from my purchased apps. I’m not able to. It’s gone! It’s there in ghost form only. Thanks! Please; I don’t want a developer response! It’s the same tired old rhetoric we’ve all heard a thousand times before. Just save it.

Vanda Walden. Absolutely love my Flightradar24 - originally came from the uk- and all my relatives over there- so now when they go on trips I can follow them from my armchair- I don’t get on planes myself - due to a terrifying trip in wild weather on my honeymoon 50 years - plus my husband gets claustrophobic in them- . Can’t even see of any improvements you could do- however you are creative - so look forward to any brilliant ideas for changes you may have ✈️✈️✈️✈️ Regards Vanda .

Slooow Map. The old map App started to be very slow to load the map. It had worked so well before. So I found the new app and thought the map problem was because the old App was out of date. HOWEVER the new app is no better. In the time of written my review the only part of the map that has loaded is the local area. The rest of the world is in total darkness. Very disappointed.

Came in handy in lots of ways. I bought a monthly subscription for a couple of months during a long holiday to track performance of seasonal flights we’re taking. It’s been great to see their on-time/cancellation performance over the last several weeks. We have had friends joining us at different points in our itinerary and being able to find and track their flights in real-time has been very useful. I don’t have the need for a subscription long-term but will re-subscribe for any involved holiday.

MoneyGrab by Thieving Greedy Developers. As evidenced by the barrage of bad reviews, another case of greedy developers screwing over early supporters. I too paid for a Pro version of the app, to remove ads among other features. They now block access to the version I bought in an effort to push me into their rubbish “subscription model”, effectively paying AGAIN for the features I’ve already paid for. A shame, as this WAS a fantastic app. Though like many others, due to being ripped off as thanks for my early support, I’ll not be downloading the new version.

Flight Radar 24. This app is so good. I have a dad he is a Pio lot and I track him every time I’m acctully tracking him now. Tho they could have put some non-gold features in the bronze like all aircraft information (I play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020) and the 3D view. I recommend this app and I hope one day fr24 reach out and change some of the features I have just listed.

Need more up to date info. Hi guys, sorry to say this but you guys need to improve this app big time if you want people to stay subscribed. I’m currently trying to track my girlfriends flight from Doha to Melbourne, as the flight when I’m to the runway it turned back to the terminals and now says departure 9:50pm (Doha time) , arrival 5:50pm ( Australia time) status “ unknown”, but when I did a google search it says the flight is scheduled to land at 9:05pm Australia time. It’s no use paying for a app that just shows the flight path of a plane but can’t give you proper details. Best of luck.

This app is amazing. I have had this app for a while now and it 100% works if there is a plane going over me I go on the app and it’s there how fast it’s going it’s alt and what plane and if registration number, it shows everything and it shows the planes country of origin I definitely recommend this app it’s free and there are no adds that stop you from viewing!

Planes. I think you so much beauce I can track My Uncle and my Father Beauce I love them booth I want to say I am much Happier if you can Not Vomit in the Plane my father and Also my uncle the Know how to Cacth Planes but I Can’t Make sure you have Vomit bag Ready to go I thank you for your Goodness to make a Statement 1 day I will come to the Plane I might have a Afopa next week I thank you so much for your time but I want to say thank you Beauce you Guys beauce I Have Fate a Lot beauce I am Strong and I have the Power to Push some your Bottos to I want to say I thank you so much beauce I love you and I will miss you so much then I will be much Happer to be in the Plane next time I will be sure you are a beautiful person but I love you

Flight Radar 24 - how to occupy endless hours. Having Flight Radar 24 on my phone attracts me to endless absorbing time travelling as an “Arm Chair tourist” all over the planet. I also identify every detail of any aircraft in my vicinity especially those actually sighted. I am never bored while waiting as Flight Radar 24 caters to my need for meaningful stimulation. Roger Willsher

LOVE IT!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Ive been using this flight radar app now for over 2yrs without an issue to complain about. The app runs smooth and seems to be quite accurate, i use the app almost every day being an avid plane enthusiast, i upgraded and subscribed to the silver subscription for the added awesome features. I luv using the app and just really hope it can continue to remain such an awesome flight radar app for many more years to come! Definitely 100% recommend to any plane spotter/enthusiast! Thank you to the app developers, keep up the great work.👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺

Robbing good for nothing developer. Purchased the previous app version and also the premium content on 9 Jan 2017. What the developer is saying in terms of being able to use the old app in responding to negative reviews is utter lies. The old app states “This app no longer works”. Yet they’re fraudulently responding to negative reviews telling people they still have access to the Pro app and the Premium features - lies lies lies!!! You got my money, it wasn’t paid to you with the intent of there being any expiry date, but you’ve done the dirty and stole every persons money, and then bricked the previous app version. Other developers have updated their apps to a subscription model, and previous buyers get a gratis subscription at no further cost. What you’ve done is the definition of “theft by deception”! The ACCC will be hearing about this.

I like it, playback though.... I like this with the tracking, 3D Option, you can see if the plane is in the top 10 most viewed. Really usefull if your getting on a flight soon. It even shows when an emergency is happening. You have to pay to playback farther and even if you pay for the most expensive you only get 1 year playback, I would appreciate if they could make playback to atleast a century. Aside from this, it's a really good app!

V. P. N. Issue. Over approx the last 3/4 weeks I have been experiencing problems with being able to load airport date. Runway information, flight arr/Dep times and flight duration times. From what I have been able to ascertain it is related to two Norton Apps on my iPhone. Norton VPN and Norton Internet Security. Removing Norton VPN does not solve the issue on its own but removing the Norton VPN then turn off Web Protection inside the Norton Internet Security. That seems to fix the problem. You can then re-install the Norton VPN and turn the Web Protection back on. Since doing that I have not experienced the issue. Important :- turn the device off/on after each stage. Hope that helps. I can’t be the only one with the issue.

Ad’s, Ad’s, Ad’s. I can’t use the app for more than 10 seconds without it being taken over by an ad for Visa card ( I already have two, so the ad’s pointless). I close the ad and it re-opens almost immediately. It used to be a 5 star app. I can deal with the odd ad, but it has become painful to the point I’m going to delete it Sorry

Disappointed (very). I really do not liked your last update since iOS11. You forced me to buy a subscription even if I bought the app. And your app is visually ugly.

Deleted. Upgrade to the new version and then deleted it. Even worse than the previous free version. Bye!

Total Still. The developer sold me this app in 2011. For a full access and features. I paid for it. Now they have maded a different one with monthly subscription.... shame on them. My old one is disabled “This App is no longer working” just like that. I hope enough people will give you one STAR so they close your business. This is a still. 😡😡😡

A Sad App. When I first bought this app it was because it was ad free for the price I paid, now I get ads do stupid the app has become. I was ripped off and robbed by this developer. No more though. Oh I have warned many others in my social media NOT TO GET THIS APP🤬🤬🤬

Rip off. I paid for the old Pro version. Now the scammers break the old app, release it again with the same name, and make it a subscription for the same features I already bought. Stay away, far away from this developer. Oh, and don’t bother pasting on your stupid template developer response.

Inaccurate. The fight paths and, probably, the altitudes are inaccurate.

Disappointed. Bought the previous app, paid money for it. It bo longer works. Now they want me to pay to use the service that I already paid for. Such a disappointment! ☹️

Extremely Disappointed!!!!. I bought the pro version but now the developer cancelled is and is pushing the subscription version. This is not right. 1st I need a refund for the Pro version I purchased. 2nd I will not buy any app from this developer and make sure I promote to my Friends and family and social media connections not to buy from this developer. If you are thinking to download this app, please DON’T! This developer is not trustworthy.

Lousy app. Doesn’t work at all

Worst app ever😡😡😡 please read. Don’t download this app!!!! 1.the 3D view is messed up you have to pay to get good quality and when you do pay it’s still not that good once my friend payed for it and according to the app the plane smashed through a parking lot 2.it’s constantly telling you to buy gold or silver and the flight tracker is almost worthless without them you need gold/silver to get a ton of the facts about the plane when I could probably just go google them 3.some of the flights it like half tracks. Once I was looking at a Cessna and it’s route went somewhere in Canada and then stoped and then continued in Russia Don’t get this app!!!!!!😡 (I want to give it -2 stars)

Bait & Switch. Downloaded the app 1 year ago. Purchased in app add ones. Now a new updated app has been released, old app does not work. New app is a subscription fee, so you never own the upgrades, but just keep paying. Never received any sort of credit for what I already paid for under the older app p

Bait and switch?. I will never pay a subscription fee for an app and feel ripped off that I paid for the premium version and it won't even work anymore. How is that even allowed?

Unhappy. Will never buy from this company again. I bought the previous version and have lost the money I spent. Simply greed on the developer’s part. Release a new update and hope people are stupid enough to buy everything again

Terrible update. I am very disappointed. I used this app a lot in the past but this update totally turns me off. Will certainly look for a different app

No good. The old flight radar 24 was way better. Now flights don’t even appear that should. Sad that I paid for everything already and now it’s a subscription. Just a waste of money and time.

Rip off. I paid for this app years ago, recently they “upgraded” it and now it’s full of ads and has removed flight info, and if I pay more I can get the ads gone and flight info back - which is what I paid for in the first place, rip off

Money grab. I paid for the pro version of this app years ago. They have since reneged on that deal and have now turned off the original app and are only offering a subscription service. The original pro app made no mention of it being for a limited time. They have offered no real compensation to pre-exsisting customers. I will not do business with companies that conduct business this way. It was a good app and well worth the original price, and I feel since they sold me the original app for an agreed price, they were obligated to continue that app. If they wanted to move to in app purchases they should have created a new version and offered new features with that version, people could then choose to pay for the new version or not. They should have continued the old version as it was for those customers who paid for the service in good faith. I could not be more disappointed.

App is becoming terrible. Search function not working does not show flight anymore

Beginning to be not worth it. What used to be free became subscription. So subscribed and now locked out and need a gold or silver plus full of ads. Why? Money grab

This app sucks. Having the previous app showed more info with less cost. You guys are getting greedy

Save your money, total shaft. I had the old Flightradar24 and PAID the extra money for enhanced features. Now that app DOESN’T work because the developer shut it down and created this new app. It would be nice if the developers gave me my money or gave me the access to the same enhanced features that I had before. Not happy about this. The ONE star is for the Bait And Switch tactic. The app itself was good but I’m not giving you anything more than one star for stealing my money. Not good business ethics.

Greedy pricks!!. Yup. Like many others, I paid for all the trimmings on the previous app. Now you force me to download this new version which is sheer garbage!! And on top of that pay monthly or annually!!! Come on! DON’T BOTHER WITH THESE GREEDY BASTARDS!! This app is no longer worth the hassle. Refuse to line the pockets of greedy developers.

Greedy.. I’ve supported the developers back in 2014 by buying this app, and on different platforms too, and even buying silly addons like aircraft icons. Today, thanks for all ads! /s Well deserved 1/5 stars.

Took my money & now want more. I can’t believe you’re allowed to do this. I bought the in-app features and now they’re disabled. Yeah yeah the app is still free but I now to have to pay again to use what I already paid for. If that’s how you treat loyal customers then my loyalty will move to something else.

Ripped me off. Bought all the extras on the previous version then they changed it to a monthly subscription so i lost all my money i spent. What a waste. They could have offered previous version buyers a free year. I would have gave it 0 stars if i could and will never buy nothing from this developer anymore.

Dubious developers. I bought this app long time back when there was a one time charge to buy it . It worked great for few years ( not that I use it often) . Now the developers keep forcing me to get subscription even though I don’t want to pay recurring. Finally they blocked my access and want me to download another app with subscription. This is unethical as they already taken money for original app which should work.

Hospital Security. So I work as security for a hospital, and from time to time we have to deal with AIR ORNGE coming in. For the longest time due to lack of ETAs we would just stand outside waiting to hear them so we could escort them. But thanks to this app we can see exactly where they are and when they will be landing!

Shameless money grab. Bought the pro app before and paid for all its features, only for the developer to pull a bait and switch, forcing an “upgrade” to their new app which is based on an extortionist subscription model. Will not support this app any further. One star is too generous. Zero stars.

Refund all previous purchasers of this App.. I’m an iPhone user and purchased this App a while ago. The developer has disabled the App and is pushing folks to a monthly subscription. That is immoral and dishonest and I will never purchase from this developer and affiliates. You need to refund all previous purchasers of this App.

Don’t waste your money. Bought this app several years ago but now they want me to purchase it again. It’s a ripoff in my opinion and I would give them 0 stars except I cannot.

Awful of them to stop providing paid for services on their old app. Pretty pathetic business practices honestly. Certainly not spending any more money.

Monthly purchase??. Bought previous full version. What a waste. With iOS update app stopped working. Now asking to pay monthly. Not practical if you’re not travelling daily.

Scam!. Are you kidding me? I already bought this app and after the recent update, it went back to some basic version and the developer now tried to sell it as a subscription! I have already paid!!! Going to ask Apple for refund...

Money for nothing. I paid full price for this app a while ago but the developer decided it wanted to move to a subscription so they re-released the app, made the other app stop working, and now the choice is use the new app as though I’d never paid a cent, ads and limitations and all, or be forced into a subscription. They should be offering a refund. Don’t give them a cent.

Ripped off.. I PAID for this app a few years ago, only to have it turn into a subscription based (extremely expensive) app! What happened to the FULL version I purchased. Bait and switch tactics. Avoid.

La fin d’une belle application. Je veux bien payer une deuxième fois pour avoir la même information que l’ancienne version mais pas pour en avoir moins. Flightradar24 disparaîtra dans un avenir prochain avec cette nouvelle version

Lost features I paid for. I paid for this application few years back and now they want me to pay again for an “upgrade” to get back the features I lost and to get rid of the advertisements. That’s double dipping

6 years - Unhappy customer. I paid for this app 6-7 years ago, and now the app doesn’t work! Terrible , just show the ads in the search bar and won’t allow you to search

Previous user. Very disappointed Was a great app years ago but someone got greedy and way off course

Rip off. I bought this app a while ago and liked it, now they want me to pay monthly when I already bought it. Nothing like buying it twice. I don’t think so.

Won’t purchase anymore. I have bought the old version a while ago, but apps did not work on the IOS11. The developer pushed the user to subscribe by monthly now. I won’t buy anything from this developer.

A Disgusting way to Upgrade. You have lost the trust of us past paid app users who you have fleeced with this “free” ad-laced upgrade. No. I won’t be subscribing!!!

Unethical company. Sells an app until market saturates, then kills it and releases a new one with the same name doing the exact same thing as the old app except you have to buy it again. Rinse and repeat. Unethical business practice.

Au vol !!!!. J’ai payé pour cette app voilà maintenant 4ans et la ils font leurs mise a jour et je dois payer à nouveau, c’est de la fraude .

Not Impressed. I had the older version of Flightradar24 that I paid for, but the money hungry idiots made a different version that now requires a monthly $$$$. I guess they didn’t make enough money from the old version which by the way is identical except for all the adds. I will never purchase anything from this developer again

Déçu. J’avais payé pour la version payante et vous régressés a la version gratuite donc je demande un remboursement pour ce que j’avais payé!!

You just pulled the worst marketing ripoff.. I loved this app, I even supported this app by buying an in app purchase. Now I can no longer use that in app purchase feature because now you went ahead and added a monthly subscription purchase. Either give me my in app purchase features back or give my $2.58 CAD back.

Already paid. I am a paying member and bough you’re app. Now you want to have us pay 10 times more. Bye bye. I’ll pay someone else who isn’t greedy like that

App does not work anymore. IV been using this app advocate for several years. Now I come to use it as of April 2020 and receive a pop up in the app indicating the app no longer works. I bought this app as well - so to the developer - where is my money and refund?

Excellent and reliable app to keep track of flights. I hace downloaded for now a while this app and it’s really nice to have it since you can track in real time the flight of your love ones while they are traveling…. And helps a lot when you are picking up someone at the airport since you know their exact time of landing and be close and ready when you receive their message or call and pick them up at their arriving terminal

Fantastic app. I live near the flight path of the local airport and I enjoy checking the overhead flights for origination. Recently had one originate in Iceland! Also use it to monitor our son’s flights to and from Alaska. One improvement I’d like to see is the ability to set current location as a default. Oftentimes I am far from home and if I want to check what’s overhead I have to scroll the map to my location then zoom in to pick the aircraft. If it opened to my location I could immediately check the aircraft. Thanks and keep up the good work!!!

THE...AIRPLANE....APP....TO....OWN!. I rarely write reviews of apps but this time I simply must. If you are an airplane enthusiast you must own this app. I play with it for hours on end. I can verify in real time what I’m seeing on the news. This thing is so detailed I can watch airplanes take off and land and even see helicopters and airport ground vehicles. I can even see actual photos of the aircraft I’m tracking. This is the most entertaining app I have ever seen and it’s not even an entertainment app. I can’t say it enough. Get this app just for the heck of it.

Firewise. I live in a rural foothills town close to and similar to the town of Paradise, Calif. that is vulnerable to wildfires. CalFire has an attack base in our city so when I hear their aircraft race over my area I lookup the exact location of any fire they locate. Radar24 tracks their route and shows the plane circling the fire. If they circle it means they are engaged with the fire. Based on the location and distance of the fire, I know whether to evacuate or not. This also allows me to possible alert others in town. It literally could become a lifesaving tool. Mark

Ads make me grumpy. As a paying customer for the past few years, I don’t understand the switch to extremely annoying full page ads that interrupt what you are doing! Mayyybe a banner ad could be excusable, but this latest update is awful. Please reconsider this change or else I will have to reconsider using the app. Other than that, this app has been very nice to use and packed full of features. *update* The previously mentioned changes were removed soon after so I am back to being happy with the experience. Thank you to the development team for listening.

Good Value For Aviation Enthusiests. This app is free and it is fantastic. Easy to use and 90% accurate which is very good. Now if you are a diehard aviation enthusiast, get the paid subscription which provides you with more juicy flight data which is well worth it. I actually had my parents use the app so that when I flew home, they would have an idea to where I was. They absolutely loved it! This app was designed by passionate developers who wanted to simply deliver a good app to anyone. My only suggestion would be to include the planned runway for which the airplane plans to land on. Otherwise, just fantastic.

Did the upgrade, had the newest version. So I did the upgrade, and had the latest paid version and paid for the Silver. It gave me the high resolution 3D showing the cockpit view and the view just behind the aircraft. Really slick, loved it. A few days later my iPhone showed I had App Store upgrades available on a few of my apps, including FlightRadar. So I did the upgrades. It upgraded my FlightRadar back to my original FlightRadar24. I no longer have the enhanced features of the paid version, which I assume I’m still paying for. Whats going on here? Likewise when I go to iTunes it doesn’t show I’m paying for anything. It seemed to have reset everything back to the free version. Really disappointed in your product.

Thanks

Greatest app ever created. This app has completely re-shaped my life. I have become an aviation geek and learned so much through this app. It is so much fun to know so much of what’s happening in the sky. I’m telling you if you don’t have this app, you must download it. I would wear merch every day if I was offered any. This app has completely revolutionized my existence, and brings people together in a way I’ve never seen before. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Also pay for the premium version, very worth it.

Great app....but!. I think this is a wonderful app. I have used it on many many occasions because I am an airplane enthusiast and I like to go down to the airport and watch planes fly in and fly out. When I am about to fly for vacation I can definitely count on finding out if my plane is on time or delayed or when I have Friends or family flying in I can track their flights coming from their destination. But, the only thing that really frustrates me is when I use the 3-D view how buggy it is when it gets down to the airplane about to land somewhere around two or 3000 feet and the app either Locks up or the airplane goes nuts and is all over the map. That aspect is very buggy. Could u please look into a fix for that. Thank you!

App hasn’t worked properly for months. Purchased subscription for gold plan in February 2021. Noticed not all of its function was available shortly there after. Several attempts contacting Apple met with negative results. Today, an Apple rep indicated that they are beyond the reimbursement/warranty period for the app and to contact the developer. As in the past contacts with Apple to help with this issue and their latest suggestion, I attempted to find the developer, but was unsuccessful. When I get through, which I hope this eating will accomplish, I will request reimbursement or extension of subscription with full functionality. However, again, being unable to contact or to resolve with Apple and the developer, I am an unhappy customer and do not plan to renew the subscription.

Happy. I just installed this app after trying Flight Tracker. For about 1 hr I used that app. Nothing worked. Couldn't find my flight, was notified, couldn't fig out how to track. Nothing. This app is like dif between night and day. Just trial sub and I could find my flight and easily see the route and track my flight. I couldn't get tge 3 D working for my flight. I saw another flight and it looked great. Don't try Flight Tracker. This App hundreds time better.

How to treat your customers. Dear Developers, In business you have to treat your customers with respect. There are many other one star ratings due to your decision to change to a subscription model. You probably had good reason. Maybe the free data that you get from the Government wasn’t good enough for you. Maybe, like Accuweather (check out Last Week Tonight), you thought the value you add to this public data was far beyond what everyone else does. Maybe your data feed, which continues to cost less than when you started, was starting to starting to strain under the features you kept adding. That’s fine. Whatever it was, there were those of us in the traveling public who paid for an app that no longer functions. Now, I’m not saying that I want to start a class action against you with what appears to be several thousand others. What I am saying is that you have an opportunity to make things right first. We, your loyal users, who have recommended your app in airports, bars and disgusting rental cars from Fox Rental Car deserve better. Please return our function version without ads. Thanks

Way of the World. I purchased this app when you bought a full subscription before the “member levels”. Before developers were able to charge higher cyclic prices. The early days of Apple. 99 cent apps to 3.99 apps, never more than 9.99 one time charge. When apps were making life more easy for users while the big bucks weren’t making someone wealthy. Of course, this was not really the way of this world. No...just early in the iphone app era. Commercialism has set in now...great apps are charging subscription fees...its becoming big business...and everyday users looking for information apps to make life a bit easier or entertaining have to pay the subscription fees. Always comes down to money. I used to love this app along with others....just pitiful.

Best tracking app ever!. I absolutely love this app to track and find flights. I also bought a house 2 years ago and started using the app to see what airplanes are coming and going. Also living in Southern Oregon we have a lot of wild fires and seeing what planes and helicopters are using and going too what fire is so relieving. I tell everyone I can about this app. I suggest and consider this as much as I can. Highly recommend and if I could give it 10 stars I would! Thank you for making and creating such an amazing tool.

Terrific Support. I love this app for all the information it provides about flights. One of the best features is the augmented reality where you can lift your phone to the sky and it shows the flights above and then you can click to find out more. For some reason it started not to work. I contacted support and within the next day I had my answer. Seems my settings on the phone changed and after a few clicks I was back to observing the flights in my neighborhood. Love the Pro version. Worth the price and I like to know I support the developers.

If you are interested in this app, just get it.. What’s not to like? I have no reason to have this app other than curiosity. I liked the first version and this is better. More than most apps I get the need for a subscription model since it is providing an information service that requires constant attention. And what great information. The UI is pretty straightforward considering all the data it is possible to view. Like airplanes? Enough to want to track them, identify any you happen to see flying by? Get the app already.

Imagination Becomes Reality. Every since I was a kid I would see a plane in the sky and always wonder/imagine, -where is that plane going, and where is it coming from?-. I no longer have to wonder/imagine. This app is so much fun! Living in a metropolitan area with two major airport, planes are constantly flying overhead. I sit in my backyard during the evenings and know everything about the aircrafts overhead (airline, destination, ground speed, elevation, model). The free version of this app is more than rewarding. I’ve purchased the silver package, and have been very with it’s features.

Best app for aviation geeks. This app is absolutely incredible. I live pretty close to a major airport, so planes fly over my house all the time, and it’s really cool to see the planes info, and seeing where it came from around the world. I use this every single day. I honestly haven’t really ran into to any major problems. The developers did a wonderful job. You can really tell they are trying to make they’re customers happy, not just trying to get money. I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking about downloading. Great app, keep up the amazing work.

Useful and entertaining. I’m not a pilot or anyone that can use this app as part of their job/hobby but I know a good amount about planes and heard my friends talking about this. I decided to download it and absolutely freaked out when I saw how accurate it was. It showed a CRJ-900 about to fly over my house so I went outside to see if it was there and sure enough! Flew right over my head! This has entertained me for hours as I can just turn it on, go outside, and wait. I can also say that the gold membership is seriously worth it. An overloaded takeoff’s worth of features for only $4 a month? I’ve seen a weather radar that charges $10 A WEEK just to remove ads. The developers know what they’re doing. 10/10 App, would recommend.

A Great Application.. As the title says, this is a great App. There is an incredible amount of information contained here. I held a private pilot license some years ago and if this application was available then it would have been a great learning tool for ground school. That’s in addition to the vast amount of current live information available now. My recommendation is everyone should download this application if you find one better suited to your needs use them both. I want to thank my son in law for turning me on to this very fine application. This is a Richie🐝 “straight up” review.

*** Drone VS Helicopter ***. *** Was Flying my DJI MAVIC Air 2 then while looking at Flight Radar I seen an Aircraft flying not only in my direction but was below 500 feet so I then noticed that it was moving much faster that I first thought so as I decided to fly back down to 200 feet then BOOM the Helicopter was right on top of my poor little drone although they didn’t hit, it scared me to death *** So as I’m starting to notice that a lot of Aircraft flying over are below 1,000 feet so I’m extra watchful these days ***

Essential App. Apps like this are why smartphones were invented. I only have the free version but it still has lots of cool features. Being able to track any flight is cool but the selling point for me is the AR feature. When I’m outside with my kids or I’m bored by myself I can look up, see a plane over head and point at it and it tells you where it’s coming from and where it’s going and what flight it is. No doubt it is a must have app for any and all phones.

Download this app.. I have never left a review for an app until now solely because I love this app so much. Why? 1) VERY FEW ADS!!! Yes you have some - and you will no matter what radar app you download but this has very very little pop up ads. 2) accurately shows flights AND an image of them; if they’re low over your head, you can identify them yourself! 3) shows make/model/specs (EVERYTHING) about said plane (I love in LA so it’s very easy to tell what are private jets or news/police helicopters) 4) shows FLIGHT HISTORY of the plane. If it’s a company plane/heli or it’s giving a tour, it shows you where it DID go. I personally love knowing random information like this, and I hope it grows on you too. Since downloading this, everyone asks me to track where a plane is coming/going to because of this app. Would give a 10/5 stars if I could!!

Would like to see another particular filter.... I have had the paid version of this app on IOS for a few years and do love the app. I live in an area where we have the only level 1 trauma center for up to 250 miles. I am also a Firefighter/Paramedic and have flown in medical helo’s. I would love to see a filter where in the app you can select the type of aircraft to watch include in it an option for various makes of helicopters like the Eurocopter H130, H135, H145, Bell 429, and other Bell medivac helo’s. I’m also having problems with being alerted for the aircraft I have saved in alerts. Otherwise I love the app. I use it in conjunction with scanners and the Live ATC app.

Very helpful. My family flies 2-4 times each month and fly out of airports that are 30 minutes to 2 hours from home. This app is very helpful to us when checking the flights and especially inbound connecting flights. We fly one particular flight that comes from across the country with 3 stops prior to getting to our departure airport and is delayed 41+ minutes 38% of the time. It’s helpful to follow these types of flights from the start of the day and plan our airport drive accordingly.

Available info waning. When I initially started using this app it was chocked full of information on each individual aircraft I wanted to track. Over the last several months there has been less and less information available when I tap on a specific plane. Gone half the time now are the airports of departure and destination, photos of the aircraft, description of the aircraft, etc. Often times the icons don’t even match the aircraft. I’ll tap on what is obviously a small prop plane and I’ll get a picture of a 737 and vice a versa. It’s getting to the point where the app needs to be renamed FLIGHT N/A!

No flights shown. Update: In September 2020 I gave this one star because of a bug that prevented flights from appearing. Since then, I got a new phone, and now I see all the flights. Great app. Old review: Like others have said, the app no longer shows any flights. I can’t see other content, either. For example, I can’t see the FAQ. I’m guessing this might be some bug with the app running on iOS 14, and possibly related to default browser settings. It’ll probably be fixed soon, and then this is a 5 star app.

Great but one more thing. Flightradar24 is such an amazing app. It has allowed me to expand my knowledge infinitely about the active aviation world. The amount of aspects the app has is fantastic and keeps me coming back to it day after day. Although I do miss one feature. Before the large update, there was an aircraft counter showing you how many aircraft were on your screen, and it adapted to when you moved around the map and when you enabled filters. If this feature could be added that would be great!

Price point changed after update. After paying a lifetime fee 6 year’s ago for no ads. They change the plan to be a yearly or monthly subscription and only offered a credit of $4. What a joke now I have to put up with ads or subscribe to their crap app. UPDATE: So after writing this review I received an email from the developer saying that the pro version I paid for was built on older technology and is no longer supported/updated, the new app (SAME NAME) has been updated for a better user experience. HOW does that make it better when original purchase was “lifetime” no ads. But all they have to do is stop providing updates, keep the same name, say it is better, and start charging by the month. Now I wish I could give half a star just for responding with such a joke of an answer

Great but…. The tracking function is great but the ads are awful! I don’t mind some ads. Gotta make money. These ads are just shut the app down until the video plays out. Plus any sound associated with the ad automatically kicks out whatever else you’re listening to. So it interrupts the this app’s function as well as whatever else you’re listing to. And then once the ad(s) finally play themselves out, it’s very difficult to find the “x” to close the ad and then I’ve got to go back to whatever app I was streaming sound with and restart that.

Decent app, bad ads. It’s a great app, little awkward UI but understandable considering the density of the data presented. The only thing that gives me pause is the ads, I don’t mind ads but these seem low quality. As in many times there won’t be an X button for full screen ads, and one will never appear even after the ad plays it’s video or animation. It feels very sketch and makes me want to find a different app. Ads are even in different languages so maybe there is a “close” button somewhere but I can’t read it and I’m not clicking on the ad itself, only the X.

Dear Flightradar24 developers. I hope this message finds you well. I've been using your app for a while now and I've come to appreciate its functionality and design. I'd like to suggest adding a feature where the app alerts me about aircraft that are within a specified range of my location. This can be a useful addition to the existing "Alerts" feature. I believe this would make the app even more valuable to users like myself who are interested in tracking aircraft in real-time. The ability to receive alerts based on proximity would add a new level of convenience and engagement to the app. I appreciate the hard work that goes into creating and maintaining such a comprehensive app. I hope my suggestion is taken into consideration for future updates. Thank you for your time and for creating a fantastic app. Best regards, Ethan Wood

Great for tracking detailed information and statistics on flights. This is a great tool for not only tracking flights in real-time, but also obtain details on flights, particularly airplane specific information (I.e. tail ID, age of aircraft, country of registration, etc.) The paid version offers more features than the free one. Depending on your use case, the paid version is well worth it (note I am not referring to the enterprise version which can be pricy unless you have very specific requirements for the additional details and data export functionality it offers).

One of the best. Update; it was true what i said bellow for about two hours, after that it give the wrong info; according to this app the flight 293 for Aug 4 landed yesterday but actually it is still in the air because it was delayed for 24 hours. Useless app. Aftet the flight was delayed for 24 hours, so next day there were two flights with the same nr, one, the postponed prior day, and the 2 nd one scheduled for the current day, this app was among a few which listed correctly both flights BA293, one for Aug 4 and one for Aug 5 with different times of course. The other tracker will list only the current day flight info and nothing about the postponed flight. Kudos to you.

Planespotter’s Dream. This is just the best, most functional and usable app to track or watch planes. As an avgeek, I could sit at the end of a runway and watch the planes come in for hours and this app improves that experience so much. My only negative (that planes sometimes stutter and move erratically) has nothing to do with the app - it’s a by-product of the occasionally incomplete ADS-B data coming from the transponder. The in-app purchases are priced very reasonably and you get a lot of bang for the buck with each level. Kudos to the development team!

Possibly fried my phone??. I downloaded this app yesterday morning around 6am on my brand new 3 month old iPhone XS Max, 256gb. I opened the app and checked it out for a few minutes, closed it and set my phone down and didn’t touch it again until around 1:45, 8hours 45min later. When I picked it up and swiped up to unlock my phone it started glitching out. Apps were all over the place flashing and jumping around, my phone froze up and completely died and wouldn’t boot up. After 30 min on chat with tech support they gave up and are replacing it. I’m not 100% sure it was the app that killed my phone but it was the last thing I did on it before it completely died... Coincidence? Has anyone else had this happened to them?

A fun and useful App.. I enjoy being able to read about what is flying overhead and seeing the destinations. The photos are a great bonus. I’ve also used it to track my daughters flight across country that was delayed. That gave me a little peace of mind. The app shows the path the aircraft has flown which has been helpful in seeing where the California fires are being fought. The downside is that everything is not shown. I understand the military aircraft not showing, but there are many others that don’t show either. Overall I find this a very useful App.

Love Watching the Planes Flying Overhead. For years I wondered about the planes flying over my home. Where were they going? Where were the coming from? Then I found this app, and I have loved it since the moment I found it. Not only do I now have those answers, I also know what type of jet it is, the altitude, etc. I mostly see jets from Europe and the USA, but also see planes from Asia, and occasionally elsewhere. Every day I get a great geography lesson. On days I get no planes, I miss them! And when guests come over, I pull out my app, and we all enjoy the travel lesson from above!

Need to change weather settings. Good app. Noticed barometric pressure is in hpa. Wonder if could change to inches of mercury. Also, we have a lot of regular small aircraft, carry about 10-20 people flying over. I live by the Mackinac Bridge. Mackinac island is 5 miles out in Lake Huron, currently lake is frozen, so have flights flying people back and forth from county airport to island airport. Wondering if developers could show smaller aircraft as know they show drones in some areas. We do have bigger airports in Pellston and Sault ste Marie which are 20 and 50 miles away respectively. During winter months Mackinac County Airport in St. Ignace is busier than Pellston and Chippewa County airports combined.

Love this app.. Hello. I really LOVE this app! I use this app mutiple times a day and it is so cool to trick my friends into wondering how I know that a plane is flying over their house. There is just one feature that I really wish could be in the app. It would be so cool if we could filter timetables at airports to a certain airline or aircraft. If im looking for something specific at a busy airport like ATL, it would take me forever to scroll through the entire thing just to find one flight. I would truly enjoy this filter feature and use it quite often.

Great app for ADHD people like me who love aviation 😆. Okay, so this review may not be entirely what it’s meant to be for, but I get bored often and get easily distracted. Whenever I hear a plane or helicopter or something I literally drop everything to look where it is, and then proceed to find it on the map being the nerd I am. I personally only use it for looking at planes, so I don’t really have a use for the subscription, so I cant say much on it. I often find myself staring at this app very frequently, the most I have ever is 27 minutes, haha. It’s a great app, highly recommend especially for people like me😁

Great app. I use the app for work since I work at the airport, having the notifications when the plane leaves (notification must be set up specifically for certain flights like tail number or flight number or airline company) is a awesome feature, knowing where the plane is when it’s taxing is a huge plus. Of course there’s a little lag between the plane and the phone showing it’s location but over time it’s been getting better. If only you can upload pictures of planes instead of going to the 2nd website they use and uploading pictures there.
