Terrible App. I have been a preferred subscriber to SI for more than 5 years and for the life me cannot figure out this app. I tried at least 5+ times to connect through my email and never received any email to connect my subscription. I tried calling SI customer service and had zero luck with that also. I guess SI has yet to figure out the digital wave...

A rip-off. Too much politics very little sports if I had known I would be changed for a monthly magazine instead of weekly then biweekly I would have cancelled subscription. An embarrassing magazine now.

Swimsuit issues from 2014 and before are still missing. It has been many many months and this app is still missing the Swimsuit issues from 2014 and before. These issues were once on the app and since it has been updated they are now missing. I have paid for this issues, and nothing has been done to fix this major problem. No matter how many times I have followed up, they still have not returned this paid for content. Please restore the swimsuit issues from 2014 and before.

New app doesn’t work. I am unable to access any of my paid subscription content. I never receive an email with a link to access digital content on iPad. Total runaround to find support. Go back to the previous version which worked fine. Maybe this only works for new subscribers. Where is the technical support???

Terrible for Print Subscribers. If you are a print subscriber with digital access, you can no longer access your issues through the app. It’s pathetic. It makes you go onto a web browser to access your library and read your issues. I cannot believe they just alienated a 35 year subscriber.

Terrible app leaving long time subscriber behind. This app has changed hands so much recently or been updated and it NEVER works without tech support. I cannot access my digital library AGAIN as a print subscriber. They send a link that brings you right back to app page that does not work. I’ve subscribed since 1972 and the product has gone so backwards in last 2 years. Dan P

Bad App. I really enjoy the content of sports illustrated and I have been a subscriber for a number of years. However the app it’s very frustrating to use. More often than not I am unable to access current issues of the magazine. This is the third time in the last six months I have had to contact support to get access to my magazines. The support team has been helpful but for a relatively simple application I should not have to access the support team this frequently for minor issues. I have more trouble with this app in any other app that I have on my iPad. If you decide to download this app be aware that you were likely to encounter several issues on a frequent basis.

Complete trash. Prior to this update I had years of issues I received as part of my print subscription and have now lost access to all of them. When I state I am a print subscriber I’m sent an email that send me a link to only 3 of my most recent issues. Complete trash. Do not update if you can prevent it! This is just more proof that SI has continued it slow march into irrelevancy.

Terrible “update”. The other comments list all the defects. I cannot believe SI released this app and called it an update. The thing I miss the most is downloaded issues don’t always appear when offline. I travel a lot so that is a BIG issues to me Also, I’ve b en a subscriber since 2007. I had downloaded issues going back to 2011 when the digital content was first available. Now even for the issues from early 2018 that do show up, the app says I have to purchase the issue. Does anyone test these apps before they put them out and force customers to “update”?

Upset. I bought a subscription to your magazine in may and just got my first issue today 6/27. I can’t believe I had to wait a month for it but it finally came. Then after that I can’t even download it digitally either on your app. Maybe when you’ve been in business for a few years you may figure this app out. Thanks for nothing.

SI App is terrible. I have been a print subscriber for years and I have always accessed the content using my iPad (recycling the paper edition). I’m no longer able to get the content on my iPad despite having paid for it. Tech support on this has turned into finger pointing by different support teams. I’m about to cancel my subscription and ask for my money back. Very frustrating.

Horrible Update and Customer Support for the App. Updated App has resulted in loss of all my downloaded content. I have followed the instructions to restore my content with no success. I even called Customer Service at Sports Illustrated the Magazine to ensure my e-mail address was on file and that I was using the correct e-mail address. Even after waiting nearly two hours, I still have no link to restore access. These updates should be seamless and not be devastating to the customer experience. I even got an undeliverable e-mail when I tried contacting the app support site. This has been extremely frustrating, coupled with the reduction from a weekly magazine to a monthly magazine; I need to seriously think about renewing my subscription. I always looked forward to receiving the magazine. Please improve the App and the customer experience. Best Regards, Glenn

Worst in Customer Service. A simple request… purchase the current SI Swimsuit issue, but like any current issue for the past three years I’ve tried purchasing via the Apple Store and the SI app tells me to try again when my connection is better. My connection is top of the line and only SI’s app has an issue with it. So I reach out to customer service every time…NOTHING. No response…ever.

Unable to Download. Having serious issues with downloading- last three issues unable to be downloaded to Library- app is faulty

What happened?. Love the content. I’m a multi-year subscriber, and usually only read the print version. I’m going out of town for a couple months. So imagine my surprise when I went to download a couple issues and the app demands I fork out $6. If they fix this, the content is 5 stars, as usual. (I can do without the “fashion” issue, which is simply ridiculous.) The writing is the best in the business. So this review is strictly for the APP itself. Update: As a result of this review, I was contacted by the developer, who has fixed this issue. Let’s hope this was a temporary glitch.

Not a Great App. The app keeps wanting me to log in after a few days. This is really inconvenient. The old app was much better. I am about ready to Give up on it. I hope SI is making a lot of money on this app.

Download Issues. I cannot download new issues. This has been a problem for over a month. I have the latest update and have signed out and logged back on to no avail.

No More Issues. But not in a good way...After a recent update, I am unable to download new issues. July 1st is the last issue I am able to view on here without being asked to pay for an issue. I’ve already signed in with my email address and signing in with my account number gives another error, surprised? Get this fixed and it’s a great app. Until then, I wish I could go less than 1 Star.

Unable to access issues. Like everyone else I’m a print subscriber and I cannot access current issues on the app. The most “recent “ issue in my library is from March. I’ve deleted and reloaded the app, reset my password, and synced my library but nothing ever changes. There are way too many people with this exact same problem for way too long. This app is useless.

Unhappy Camper. I am an I tunes only subscriber, the past two months I have been unable to access my new issues, it tells me that I have to buy an issue that I have already paid for.

Terrible UX. This app is what happens when private equity moron dogs take over for real journalists. I wish I could tell you the interface and content are 5-stars, but that would mean I was able to get to that point. Run, don’t walk, to download this app if you enjoy getting stuck in an activation loop. Otherwise, this is a hard pass

Who’s brother-in-law created this app?. Terrible app. As a print and electronic subscriber, this app opens but won’t go to my library. Once I get login access, I go to a safari page and read. Every time I open I have to go through the same process. And with the update, now it won’t open at all

Saves money. It actually saves you money! The subscription is much cheaper overall.

Awful Update. This does not work. When I sent my email to get a link - I never received one. I contacted customer service and received a link that takes you to the magazines, but is very different. This should not even be in the App Store if you cannot access content through it. I love Sports Illustrated and really enjoyed the digital experience up to this point. Very disappointed.

Terrible, Awful New App. I’ve been a print subscriber for a long time and like to start reading in the app before my print copy arrives. That is now impossible with the new app. It says put in your email address and we’ll send you a link to access your library. I’ve done that multiple times and no email ever comes in any inbox or spam folder. When I try to tap the support button nothing happens. Just a terrible mess of an app. Why did you change something that worked just fine?

Missing old app. I have been a subscriber for many years. I loved the old app. I just clicked it and everything came up. I also liked that it gave you current stories you could click and see that were not in the magazine. Now when I click on the app it takes me to my browser and than I have to put in my email address and than opened up my email to get access! Are you kidding me?

Worst App. This is still a horrible app. I have a subscription and have used the app in the past, but have stopped because accessing the issues is hit or miss. When I’m signed in it gives me the Free Trial or Purchase options only. I try signing out and back in and no change. Every now and then when I’m traveling I’ll give it another shot and its usually the same deal. Why offer an app if it doesn’t work?

Finally this app is useable. The latest updates were exactly what this app needed. I’m a print subscriber and now use this app. Thank you

Pictures. The pictures on this app are of such good quality. It makes it much more fascinating.

Terrible app and support. Once again I feel compelled to give this app a one star rating (if I could give zero stars I would). Not only has SI gone to publishing once a month, but the current issue no longer shows in my library, which means I am not able to download the issue for offline reading. I have contacted Zinio and the response has been to try and reinstall the app, which would mean losing everything I have previously downloaded (with no guarantee this would actually solve the problem especially since there has been no update to the app). I was also instructed to make sure I am not in airplane mode which indicates a complete misunderstanding of the problem. Absolutely terrible support.

Would Like to Use App. Go to login and enter my email. Email never comes. Go to customer service. Log in check email. Yes the email on my account is the one I’m putting in the app. No email received to click the link to activate it. Can someone tell me how to activate my digital print subscription?

Unlike Sports Illustrated. When the app was updated I could not access any of my issues. I followed the instructions provided and nothing worked. I was told by support that SI had not set up my email which was not true as I had not changed my email address and they communicated with me using the email address. After contacting support and being directed to several sites I finally was able to access the issues. I have been a subscriber for decades and this was the worst experience with SI that I have ever had.

SI isn’t making it in the digital age.. This app has never worked properly. I get a new issue notice and when I try and read it I am offered a free trial or read a sample. You folks never forget to bill but you always seem to forget to deliver the goods. Very bad practice and horrible customer service. I am trying to figure out a way to get my money back but you never answer emails or phone calls.

Big improvements!. The new app works well and the magazine is easy to read - especially when you have the time to read it with article mode.

Frustrating app. Used to be a reliable app. Now after following the sign in instructions you can access the library of past issues but one cannot get the current issue. You get asked to buy the current issue or enter a trial subscription. I already have a subscription!!! Frustrating. I renewed my print/digital subscription for a year but will likely let it lapse. Magazine dying a slow death since it went to twice a month format. Used to be must read. Sadly the times have changed.

Issues Overdue. It’s now August 27 and I haven’t received an issue of SI since the July 29 issue. My subscription has been paid up and is still in effect This is not good service Don’t understand what has happened to this once reliable App

Issues won’t download any more. Very frustrated because I’ve tried to log out and back in several times but the app will no longer allow me to download new issues. Instead it asks me to pay or sign up even though I’ve been a subscriber for years.

Disappointing Update. Have been a print subscriber for multiple years, and have loved accessing via the app. New update requires you to pay to access old library. Access is sent via email to a Safari page, which is extremely difficult to navigate. Still think the content is among the best in the business, but the new update is unusable.

Really?!. You know when you decide to fix or build something that you know nothing about, but figure it can’t be that hard and you’ll just dive in and...it’s a freaking mess? Contact SI because apparently that’s how they build their app. Simply trying to gain access (I’m a subscriber) is impossible. Tried 4 or 5 times before realizing I’m not an idiot, and their app is totally f’d. Then I see I’m not alone is discovering this...after wasting too much time! Just ridiculous.

Do not update. Be careful. This update removed my library. One day I had access to my magazines with some treasured memories (SI magazine subscriber since 2014) and the next day after this app automatically updated itself, it is all gone! Contacted customer services of course and now they want receipts to restore my magazines (as automatic process does not work). Does this mean they do not have any records? I was able to find recent ones but who has records from 5 years ago. Disgraceful! I think it is because they used to do it through ZINIO and now is Promags. At least ZINIO was able to help when this happened and had my history so was easy to restore without having to dig for receipts etc.

No longer restores purchases for iTunes subscription. Recently purchased a new iPad Pro, went to restore purchases. Constant Failed message. I’ve tried everything - close the app, restart the iPad, delete the app/reinstall the app. Essentially my subscription is now worthless. Is there a fix coming for this? Seems many people have the same problem.

Subscription doesn’t allow for new issue downloads. The last few digital issues won’t download without having to pay for them, even though I’m a subscriber. Not sure what happened.

No longer downloads recent issues. I have been through multiple versions of this app over many years. Despite various issues that have come up, I have at least been able to download issues. This is no longer the case. When viewing a recent issue I am given the options of buying the issue or purchasing a trial subscription - never mind that I am a subscriber and have entered my login credentials into the app. So I hate to say for a once good app but this is a complete waste unless you are looking for sports news over 2-3 months old...

Terrible for an existing subscriber. Others recently have made the same comment. I’m a subscriber to the print edition, I’ve tried the print subscriber tips to get access, I’ve also reset my password after supplying my account number and I still can’t access any issues without being asked to pay the 5.99 price. There have been comments to reviewers that have been some basic instructions but this issue is not a user error.

I am unable to use the latest update of the app. When I bring the app up, I get the pay library. When I go to login, it sends me an email to access the library. When I do that it takes me to a Safari page, which is very difficult and slow to navigate. If I try to go back to the app, it won't let me out of the login access page. If I kill the app and restart it, I am back to where I was originally. Basically I cannot access the library from within the app and every time I want to read the magazine I have to go through the whole process again. This is not usable.

App no longer working - STAY AWAY!. Paid for subscription renewal in first week of January. Unable to download the 2 latest issues. Unable to sign in on the app and the app does not appear to be sending request to reset my password. If you look through the recent postings you will see how many people are having issues.

Amazing design. The design makes it so easy to read everything on the app and view it all.

App doesn’t allow print subscriber to read for free. As a print subscriber logged into app, cannot get access without request to pay - what gives? Worst app I have ever used. Several issues ago had to go thru time consuming effort with app developers to gain access to current issues, only to have it revert back demand that I pay for all recent issues. No use in having app if it demands I pay for issues I already pay for as a subscriber

App Issues following renewal. The app has turned to crap. It’s bad enough that I found out by searching online that SI has further reduced its publishing to monthly in 2020, but now I find the app news hasn’t been updated in forever. And, no, I haven’t called customer service because I just can’t bother managing the lack of functionality of a product I’ve used for decades. This is a fraud.

Can’t access my account. I have subscribed to SI print and digital editions for years. I have not been able to sign in to my account. When I try to sign in to my account as a print subscriber, nothing happens. I used to have several issues downloaded so that I could read them offline. These all disappeared weeks ago at the same time that access to my account stopped. Please advise as I need to decide whether to renew my subscription.

Good but….... I love that I can read all my favourite sports, but it would be great if the subscription service could be established so we aren't forking out $7 each week!

excellent. On the iPad 3, the pictures are outstanding. Although it's disappointing that some people cannot download their purchases, the downloads work consistently for me. It's a great magazine.

SI finally in Australia !!!. Not sure why some low ratings by others but this is a great magazine and will only get better. Couldn't get SI in Australia until now through the iPad. Fantastic.

2011 Swimsuit Edition - WOW!. I wouldn't be interested in regular issues, but for the 2011 Swimsuit Edition, its excellent value. Much better than the iPhone app.

unknown error. I too am getting an unknown error message and am unable to download my purchase. It was working fine a few issues ago, but now no good. Also, how do you archive your previous issues to the ipad so you don't have to re-download them all again. This happened after i tried to remove then reload the s/w. not good.

SI doesn't work. I keep getting an "unknown error has occurred". Uninstall and install again and it still doesn't work. Not good.

Just downloaded. And what a waste... Doesn't let me preview anything, or let me download... It just freezes up... If SI doesn't get this fixed ASAP, they may be losing a quarter century-long subscriber...

Rubbish. Despite following all instructions it doesn't work although on my MacAir it works fine. Sweat the details people

They reduced the print size!!!. I have been a SI subscriber for over 25 years, first with the magazine, then with the tablet version for the past several years. On the Nov 7, 2016 edition, they reduced the size of the print bt at least half. Now I cannot read the pages without manually expanding them. The whole reading experience has become labor-intensive and impossible to enjoy, or to even tolerate. Come on, SI, you don't save trees by squeezing a bunch more on to each page in the digital edition. If this is not rectified when this year's subscription expires, I will not be renewing for my 26th year. A follow-up in 2017: dealing with their Customer Service by email and phone got me some bored, dtached, insincere politeness, not much else.

Way too pricey. switching my subscription to ESPN magazine. their app covers subscribers. Sorry SI, i will just pick up your content online until you stop ripping people off.

Great for ipad. This is great, reading is easy on the screen.

No Landscape. Horrible app to read the mag on the ipad. It no longer can be viewed in landscape and SI said they have no intention of changing it back.

SI App. What have you done??!! I used to have an app that worked just fine. My library contained back issues that I could access, and that was really handy because sometimes I wouldn't get finished with one issue before the next one arrived. But with the new app all of that has disappeared and I only have the current week's edition in the Newstand. Zero stars from me on this one.

Print subs have to pay?. How insane is it that print subscribers have to pay for this. My wife gets People and it is free on the iPad. What a rip-off this is. App deleted until loyal subscribers are thought of.

Crashes. Just like everyone else, the app crashes when I go to the library now, after the app was updated and went to the newsstand. What a waste of money...I don't even want the print version, I want the online one back!

Good start but not acceptable. Can’t have acces to old magazine before march 2019. If i want, i need to pay. I’m an SI subcriber for long time. I send a lot of email and all i received is the same « pro-format » answers with no reel solution! Need improvement really!!!

Terrible update. Would love to know how I could revert to an older version. The update has reduced the digital magazine to nothing more than a scanned version of the print issue. No digital extras. Print too small. Almost unreadable on an iPad mini. Extremely disappointing.

Great app... But keeps crashing. I LOVED this app... Until it started crashing. Mow I cannot even open it! Tried deleting and downloading again. Help!

Bookmarks on longer works. I love the mag, the interactive content, the pictures, etc. It is getting annoying that each time I open up the app, it brings me back to the cover page. Please fix this latest update bug.

Errors. Can't open or get new issue. Says error occurred multiple times. Very frustrating.

Terrible update!. Previously this was a good app, a digital edition with digital features as well as the entire content of the print edition. Now it is essentially a PDF version of the print edition. The main problem is the print is so small it's a chore to read and causes me eye strain. This is a huge step backward. I used to prefer the digital edition for the enhanced content and easy to read format. I will not be renewing my subscription.

Fools. Why would I pay more for a digital download than for a hard copy that is delivered to my house? Lower cost = higher price? Who would think this is a good idea?

Double dipping. I have a paper subscription and refuse to buy any issues until you implement free electronic subs in the same manner as People magazine. I WILL NOT pay twice.

Ridiculous. Complained to customer service. Nothing is going to change to revert to the previous format. Similar to when they stopped allowing it to be read in landscape format. And...then I get the pitch to subscribe to Golf Magazine.

Bogus Update. Not sure what moron at SI had the brilliant idea of updating a perfectly good app with this terrible version. Need a proton microscope to read the font & all digital features are gone which is somewhat of an oxymoron when reading a magazine digitally. Hopefully SI will fire the team that concocted this bogus update and restore the app back to it's previous and superior version.

Excellent....but too pricey!!!. I bought this app to take advantage of the advanced features the iPad can deliver. While I thought the price too high, I wanted to see what they could do with the app. I was very impressed.... Simply put: If they make the digital price LESS than I can get the paper copy for (which cost SI MORE to produce) then I will become a regular purchaser of issues....if they don't drop the price I will spend my money elsewhere....

Finally. No waiting for old news to hit the shelf. And this, THIS is the standard... Videos, live scores, photos, all we need is an annual rate!

Great But..... I'd love to see this in newsstand to save some room. Otherwise great app. Never crashes new content weekly and if you have a print subscription your digital subscription is free

Crashes all he time. Zinio is much btter. Whenever this app upgrades i have to register mt acont nmbers for each magazine.

Really nice, but.. There in Canada I can get the paper subscription for $43.91, that's 56 mags(one year). Or I can buy the iPad version for $280ish for one year. 5 stars for app, 0 stars for the extremely over priced digital copy. No chance of me paying these prices. $.99 seems much more reasonable to me, that way you still make more than the paper version. Get you act together SI.

Awesome but too expensive. The app itself is fantastic!! BUT I am a subscriber and to purchase the app would be 2-3 times the cost of the subscription. If it were the same price as the subscription I'd rather get the digital version and SI makes more money as it's cheaper to deliver. A win-win. But there is no way that I would pay $4.99 on top of a subscription or even in place of a subscription. Too bad because the app is really nice.

Great app from a great mag!!!. Love this app;the video contents, the digital bonuses, etc... & now you can store an article instead of flipping through each issues to find it. It's really what was missing!!!

Brutal. Mine doesn’t open

Why?. Why did you change the digital tablet SI??? Before everything worked great, now I have access only to the magazine which I receive in print format anyway. Plua, my other newstand apps have also stopped working properly!!! Really disappointed and ticked off. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Now I hope you will fix your app, because it really stinks!!!

Deeply flawed app. I can't believe that a company with deep pockets like Sports Illustrated cannot design a better app. This new version is slooooowwww... It takes an eternity to load and to open issues. I cannot really use it. If I did not have a print subscription, I would not be able to read the magazine at all.

Digital SI Rocks. This a great app for the iPad. Pictures are vibrant. Extras including slide shows instant updates and videos add to the experience. Love this when travelling.

Great content. Horrible app.. I’m running this on my iPad mini. Once you’re into a magazine, it’s great. However, the app performance itself is horrible Also, the Library loads slow because it tries to show you ALL issues. Even ones you haven’t purchased. That makes sense for the store section, but not my library. That needs to be fixed too.

Ridiculously priced. Cool presentation, but the pricing is stupid, just use the web for free, $5 per week is crazy for a digital download, they just got greedy seeing that they save on all the printing, shipping resale etc.

Too expensive!. This makes no sense... how can the digital copy subscription be more expensive than the paper one? With digital, you save on paper... printing cost, delivery cost... what the hell is the matter with you guys?????? If you guys want to make this a successful apps, you will have to cut that prize....

Just Brutal!!. This app used to work, but now it just wastes my time. Resetting my password doesn't work, neither does reinstalling the App. Don't bother downloading or even buying issues until they hire a legitimate app developer to redesign this one from the ground up. I pay $60 per year for the print subscription, anticipating the digital version as well but no... Hard to believe that a company like SI would release an untested dud like this one. Just Brutal!!

Clear images. Great work SI

Five stars for app, negative five for the price. I would pay a per year price if it was reasonable but $5 per week is insane! However it is the best magazine app. The app should be the gold standard when it comes to magazine apps but until the price significantly drops I'm not buying.

Need a subscription price. Great app but like everyone else $5 per issue is ridiculous. I'd be willing to get a subscription if they ever offer one.

App changes without warning. I bought the SI subscription from Apple, when I bought my iPad 5+ years ago. I have tried to archive my favourite magazines, but every time the app changes I need to recover the archive. Now, with the latest version, I cannot even access the library to try and recover the archive.

Price?!. I can order a three year subscription of the paper copy of this magazine for a cheaper price than I would have to pay for one year with this app!

Why do I have to pay twice?. This stinks that if I want to read this on my iPad I have to pay again even though I already have a subscription for the print edition. Not happy with sports illustrated at all.

Another screw-up. I wish developers would test their apps before releasing them. The previous version worked well enough. This version continues to crash and I can't figure out how to resolve the problem. I can't get to any new issues. Fix it! And soon!

Unusable. This app used to be great. I could download multiple issues to my iPad and read them whenever I wanted to. Now, I can’t login with a perpetual string of email verifications, and the only way to read the magazine is in Safari (and with no pictures if offline). Opening the app when offline means you can’t read it. This is another in a string of bad decisions by the SI folks. I’m a 35+ year subscriber, and this is a new low. Please make this app—and my subscription—worth it again.

What happened to previous purchases?. I cannot seem to be able to retrieve my past purchases via my Apple ID after this current app update. What a disastrous update that seems to not have been adequately tested?

Portable. I'm so happy that I don't need to carry or buy sports magazines everywhere now. I can just use this.

Sports Illustrated. I have been a SI subscriber for more than 40 years. This app doesn’t let me read any of the magazines. Prior iterations worked fine. It gives me a choice of a trial or paying for each issue. I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have signed out and signed back in. Nothing. This app is worthless for subscribers.

Sports Illustrated App. This is the worst app I’ve ever encountered in over the past decade and a lifetime of using Apple products. If your a print subscriber you have to continually log in with your subscription number to reach the site. If they were a NFL team they would be 0-16, not watchable at all.

Terrible UX. This app is what happens when private equity moron dogs take over for real journalists. I wish I could tell you the interface and content are 5-stars, but that would mean I was able to get to that point. Run, don’t walk, to download this app if you enjoy getting stuck in an activation loop. Otherwise, this is a hard pass

Issues. I get an email saying the current issue is available. I see a picture of the front cover. I click on the app. Only last month’s issue available. SI can’t get the basics right. Bring back the old team, 51 issues a year, delivered to my house.

Print Subscriber/Lost Library. With the most recent update, the app is useless for me as a print subscriber. My existing library is no longer accessible in the app...best I can do is get an email to access on the web which sort of defeats the purpose of having an app. Can no longer seem to log in. Also being prompted to purchase current issues. Who tests these updates? Are you purposely trying for a negative customer experience?

Print subscription won't download. I have been attempting to get my print edition on my iPad but it doesn't work. It continues to say "Try Again Later” but it is clear there is something else up. Apparently this is only for digital subscription only.

Lousy Update. My past issues are gone. “Restore Purchases” doesn’t bring back any issue I bought prior to this year. I paid for these issues and want them back.

Terrible. I have been a print subscriber for decades and started downloading and reading on my iPad a few years ago. With this update, I cannot download or even see any content. It says activation complete and then stays there. Useless application.

No working. I cannot download any new issues despite being a print subscriber for 30 yrs. I can only see issues from 2-3 months ago. I have tried signing out and in as a print + digital subscriber but no luck. Disappointed!

App update not helpful. Why the separate process for print subscribers to access issues via web browser? Most magazine apps have figured out how to enable print and digital subscriptions to all work within the app. This update is frustrating.

No new issues. Have to echo the other complaints about not being able to access new issues. Only given option to buy or start trial. I am a subscriber and I am logged in with my email. Very frustrating lately. Emails to Meredith go unanswered and of course there is no phone contact.

What happen to the issues I already had downloaded. Now only option I get is just the recent issues and telling me to purchase the one’s i already own. I was a subscriber for paper copy and had digital access and all are gone after the update.

Not Happy. Been patiently waiting to be able to download July 2020 issue and it’s still not available. Tried deleting app and loading again no luck! Very unhappy overall with only 1 issue a month and now this! Might be time to stop subscription...sad.

What happened?. The latest update is completely broken. Following instructions to login, it takes me to a browser and never back to the application. Logging in with email only works on my laptop and not on my ipad. If this is game-changing sports coverage, the game is over, I’m afraid.

Magazines. The magazines on this app are extremely popular and reliable that's why I love this app.

Poor Update for Loyal Subscriber. Updated to the new app update and lost my entire library. My subscription has been with SI digital only and there is no option to sign in. This is just terrible!

Waste of time. Just spent 40 minutes following the terrible instructions that don’t change the fact that I am being asked to pay for something that I already feel I am paying too much for. It’s November 1 tomorrow and my latest issue I can access is Venus Williams from July. Nice!

Ok, not great access. The app keeps losing my subscription status so I have to activate the digital subscription regularly.

Terrible app. This used to be one of the best apps available. I have not been able to sign in and download issues for months, even though I’ve been getting the print version all this time. What gives?

Latest News section in the app not updating. The Latest News section in the app is not updating. All of the content is from 2019, as of March 1st, 2020.

Also cannot access my subscription. Like many of the other comments I cannot access my subscription, despite following the instructions. Extremely frustrating and renders the app useless.

Horrible. This is without question the worst performing app on my iPad. Ever since Pocket Mags took it over it’s been terrible. Every time I open it my library is empty. I have to restore purchases. So when I’m off line I have no access to downloaded issues. Absolutely horrible.

Take notice. I absolutely love this app. FINALLY we have a landscape mode which is so good for me because my iPad is mounted to my chair. Thank you so much Sports Illustrated!

Horrible service. I’ve spent the better part of 3 days running around between SI, Zinio, Maverick, and even calling SI. No answers or solutions. As a print subscriber for 45+ years, what do you think the odds are on my renewal when it comes up in February 2021? RIP SI. You were once great, now it’s just garbage.

No access to magazine as subscriber. Will someone from SI simply answer the question easily and concisely and not refer me to someone’s email?? Why is the digital magazine apparently not accessible to a print subscriber?. Not the first time this question has been asked here...

Obsessed. I'm obsessed with this app in the best way possible. I can spend hours reading magazines on it.

Does Not Work — NO SUPPORT. I am a PAID Sports Illustrated subscriber and I have the SI app. I have updated the app and cannot access my issues and my account. I have entered my email address at least 4 times a day over the past 4 days, and have not received the said link. What did you do to the app this time?

Can’t access current issues. I’m current print subscriber but app doesn’t allow me access to recent and current issues to download and read. Only allows older issues (most recent is November).

Cannot view. I started out with a month subscription and enjoyed reading the April magazine, so I changed my subscription to the 3 month. I tried to read the May issue but it keeps telling me I have to subscribe. FRUSTRATED and there is no one to contact for help.

What happened?. This app used to be great. It was updated recently and it is unusable. There is no way to view the content in the app. You can only see the content in safari. It’s called QA. I wonder if the developer has ever heard of this concept. I’m canceling my subscription

Lost all previously purchased items. There was absolutely no way to recover all previously purchased copies. Won’t recognize any prior purchase or even account # on the actual magazine. Completely a rip off.

Great layout. A very well designed app overall. I loved it.

Terrible App. Credentials constantly lost. I waste time with multiple restores and even this is not reliable. Downloaded issues do not always stay downloaded. Very very unreliable. I hope your new buyers fix the problem...or know what they have gotten themselves into!

Difficult app. Horribly difficult to get where they will let me download issues. Contacting them is very labor intensive and time consuming. I had to provide a screenshot that my subscription was valid before the app custodians (Zinio) would believe me, then only allow online access.

So easy to use. It's so easy to use and install. It really helps me kill time.

Failure. Total Fail.. I am a subscriber since 1970. I am holding the hard copy of the September 2020 issue in my hand. But with this app upgrade I can access NOTHING. This app is an utter failure. It doesn’t even have a option to get them to CORRECT and FIND my subscription for me. So not only can’t they make an app, they don’t want to support a really long term subscriber.

Digital app is terrible. No matter what you do, you can’t get the current issues to sync. The most recent I can get in my library date back to May! In today’s world there’s no excuse for such awful functionality.

Terrible. I am a print subscriber and cannot get the digital app to work. It will not refresh and still has “latest news” from over 6 months ago. I emailed customer support and their response was for me to log in, which is not a helpful response.

After latest Update - Can’t Access Content. After update you can no longer use the app if you have a print subscription like before. I preferred the older app that at least worked - now it’s useless.
