Tips and Tricks. I have really used this app! It has lots of very useful tips that I have found very informative. The app is really worth it to someone like me who mostly just has basic computer skills. Tap smart. As a novice with technology, it’s great to have an app like Tap Smart which gives me helpful hints about iOS devices.

How do I cancel this app. With the 4.7 rating and the reviews I downloaded this app. It isn’t a simple guide with specific topics and it seems to be aimed at OS16 I’m using OS17 so the app is useless for me. Also, as with other apps there is no mention of its cost then costs spring up,,,just be upfront about costs. Also you have to use the fingerprint thing which gives no indication of price. How can I uninstall and wipe out any hidden cost.

iPad. This a marvelous easy to use iSO features. Free with ads. Great intro & reference tool. Highly recommended.

Couldn't do without it!. I use this app daily. It keeps me in the know with easy access to just what I to learn more about.

Can't access. I have been using this for updates and helpful hints for years and now all of a sudden the app will not open. I have made sure that the app is updated and I have also shut down my iPad and relogged back on. Can you please check.

Can’t find passed clips. Once I have seen the tip, I can’t find them again to re-read or review them. I get a notification several times a day and when I open one, I lose all notifications for the week. When I try to search for something I seen before I can’t find a past post. I think this app is great idea, but I wish it was more user friendly. I have gotten some great tips and find it better than the Apple support. I would buy the pro version but I don’t see any improvement or a reason to try it. Also once you get it, you can’t go back and friends tell me not to buy it. Oct 2018. No improvement. Now it says “Post not found. Read a review, no back button. I have to close the app, dispose it and then reload the app. Search something and finds nothing. Can’t change the ratings.

Excellent. Anyone with Apple hardware needs this. Few if any know anywhere near all they need, to maximize their use of Apple’s good but costly products. This info very helpful in that regard.

Fast and easy way to get the most out of iPad & iPhone. Since installing this app I’ve learned more about the capabilities of my iPlatforms than I could if I’d waded through the User Manuals. They are good but Tips & Tricks is not only concise but often suggests things I would never have thought to investigate. HOWEVER I wish that when I get multiple notifications on my iPad/Phone and tap one of them the rest wouldn’t instantly disappear. Finding them again in the app is not as intuitive as it should be

App problem. I installed the new app. Try to open at 3 to 4 times and it kept quitting. Restarted my sixth generation iPad. Try to open the app again and it still kept quitting. As of 18 November, it’s still does not work on my iPad. It opens for a second and then quit.

On time and always correct.. This is the only apple tech news that allows me to keep up with all tech changes/updates. Very informative and gives detail instruction on getting things done.

This Used To Be A Great App. Have had this app for a long time and it was one of my favorites. Not sure what happened but now it loads the available articles in the left side panes, but any that you click on never load, just spins and spins. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling to no avail. BTW, the ads still load just fine!

Good info - horrible implementation. Although there’s a ton of helpful info here, there is one extremely annoying thing about: It doesn’t remember the last page you looked at, even if you switch to another app for only a few seconds. This has been true for months! Not even an ability to set bookmarks!! I tried the in-app purchase, and this didn’t provide any improvement. Something that is supposed to save time by putting news together, ends up wasting time looking for where you left off.

Excellent Source of Information. I have been using this app for over a year, if not longer, and make it part of my ritual to go on it every day. Provides great and useful information about free apps, break down of apps worth trying and keeps me up to date with Apple info about iPad, iPhone and iOS. Love it!!

Education- over 70 years old. This is a way to stay actively learning and living. Help me help my friend to get some education on using his Iphone.

Useful until it stopped working. This was very helpful until recently when it just freezes when I click to open an incoming tip.

Wont load on startup iPad 2 iPhone 4s. Won't load on iPad 2 or iPhone 4s and still crashes on start up basically rendered useless for any iOS pre 10 says it requires iOS 8.3 or later

App does not open with IOS 12.1. This was a really great app which I have recommended to many IPad Users but since I updated to IOS12.1, I cannot open the app. I have just deleted it and installed it again and it is much the same, just opening as far as TapSmart for a few seconds and then returning to the home page. Please fix this problem as I miss reading your news updates each day or so and I have found some great new apps to try by following your recommendations ANY NEWS ON WHEN THE BUGS IN THIS APP WILL BE FIXED?? You offered me a beta version but I decided to wait, never realising how long you would take to fix the app. I have been locked out since November so I have missed so much. I have been considering the paid version but it seems to be by subscription rather than one outright payment and I prefer the later. However, if I am locked out of the free version this would probably be the case with the paid one too. PLEASE, PLEASE URGENTLY FIX THE APP. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 3 MONTHS NOW, OR AT LEAST GIVE SOME INDICATION OF YOUR PROGRESS.

Crashes. It seems I am not the only one who has been having problems since the update on my ipad. I have also deleted the app and uploaded several times but it still crashes. Very intrusive ads in 2 places on reading page. Accepted that ads are present in the "free" versions of apps but the extent of the intrusiveness of the ads in this app while reading is beyond frustrating. It's like I have to play the game of whack a mole to hit the tiny x to close the Google ad windows in TWO places on the reading page. Yes, not one but two places. AppAdvice is sometimes a relief replacement. Oh, a fair number of grammatical and spellings errors in the articles.

iPad secrets. Just read the short version of tips and secrets and found it very useful.Will purchase the full version as it has more shortcuts and info.

Stopped working after last update. After the last update, tips & tricks for iPad stopped working for me. I have an iPad Pro with the latest version iOS and when I try to start it, the initial screen flashes for a second and I’m returned back to my home screen.

A very helpfull tool. This is a nice gift for your parents or friends, it introduces many functionalities which are not always easy to discover on your own. It has great illustrations and clear explanations which makes it easy to understand for everyone. Excellent work !

Very Good to Excellent. Simple, clear, excellent graphics to illustrate the tricks. Swiping my way through the mail 'Inbox' to rapidly delete debris saves me 5 minutes a day. Thanks!

Manual that you can't READ. One of the great things with the iPad you can setup screen reading using the accessibility triple click to activate VoiceOver. How could anybody put out a manual that you cannot have read on the screen? Fix it or get out of the business.

iPad lite. I thought it great and then went for a buck less a cent for the full enchilada. I learned more in five minutes with the app then in two weeks with my iPad! The best dollar spent in a long time. I did however have my first app crash with it by trying to chane pages back and forth to rapidly but lucky for me I also read in this very app how to restart and clear this glitch so I count myself on top of it..I figure it was a test of my reading comprehension! I passed. Seriously though this is a good compendium of the functionality of the device. Buy it.

iPad secrets. Super helpful. I am new to the iPad, and fumbled my way through to figure out the basics. But reading thru these tips is allowing me to learn way more...that I didn't even know existed.

Little unknown info.. The book would be great probably for a person who has just bought their Pad. I got about three ideas, but many of the ideas apply to the iPad 1.

Full of information. There are daily and weekly updates and they tells us what is new. The only problem I am having since I updated to the new version is I can no longer get the Tips section to come up on my iPad like it always used to do. For some reason this section remains a blank screen and I would like to have this section back. Thank you.

5 seconds. I literally only used it for 5 seconds because i already knew all of those "tips" except for the last one. Either way if it's your first time using an idevice great tips but if u had an idevice for 2 days you don't need it.

nearly as helpful as a fifth grader. the screen cap was new but the rest i had to learn to make basic use of my iPad. letting a fifth grader at your iPad before you enable iTunes is faster, and gives you a more powerful search tool (the fifth grader). this app is good for seniors.

Very helpful, but new tips are hard to find. I would love it much more if new tips were not just stuck into the middle of the book, so to speak, but featured somewhere so you could access them easily without having to go through the whole thing again.

Used to work, not now. This will no longer open. What’s going on?

Sometimes useful. I already knew almost all of what this guide had to offer. Another VERY useful and cool tip is to tap on the rectangular icon sitting 1/2 a centimeter to the left of where you write in the web address of the page that you were viewing in Safari. Then, a list with four options will appear, and if you choose the second option, "Add to home screen", and then tap add, then an application will show up in your home screen, where all of your other applications are, and you can tap on it as you would with any other app to reach the web page that you were looking at previously. (the app will look like the actual safari page)

Total garbage. Do not download, everything in this app you look at takes you to ad after ad after ad. Total waste of time.

Clear, concise & useful newbie tips for free. I switched to a MacBook Pro and iTouch a couple of years ago, but I'm not all that fluent in Mac OS. This was the first app I downloaded after getting my iPad 2, and I found it to be nice, brief intro into some of the less intuitive features of the iPad - such as how to get an an apostrophe without changing virtual keyboards. I'm sure many of the tips are available elsewhere but for my level of knowledge this was a decent starter app. I'll hang onto it for a bit longer until I've at least tried all the tips out, and will buy the 99 cent version to check it out If you've already read other, larger manuals or have been figuring out your iPad on your own for months, this is probably too basic for your needs. On the other hand, it's free so what do you have to lose? I gave it three stars for being free, clear and basic.

Won’t open. Since I’ve updated to IOS 12.1 I can’t open the app.

Simple and informative.. So found this app from an ad, downloaded it and love it. It's got nice catagories for everything, explains everything very helpfully, has pictures and tells me important things about features. (Like how iOS 9 can't be downloaded on the first iPad from 2010). It's got nice news and updates about anything iOS. The only thing bad about it is the ads, but I will tolerate them for a great free app.

Won’t open. This used to be a good app, now it won’t open. The title screen comes up and then it immediately closes.

Decent. While I knew practically everything the guide teaches, this would be invaluable for a new user. Concise and to the point. Cleverly formatted and easy access to information. I wish I came across this when I first received my new iPad. This could have saved me much trial and error and hours of doing my own research. Discover a great deal with this app, all in one easy to navigate location.

Tips. I find the tips to be most valuable--more useful than the tricks. With tips you can get the latest information on iPhone and iPad. I look it over almost every day.

Tips and tricks. This free book gave a lot of,info in an easy to read format Just enough to digest. For now I like the way u could forward it. On email Someone needs to explain the perks of the iPad ,I found the piano Key board by myself, not part of garage band, I'm 65"and still learning....

Helpful. Nice presentation of some iPad user- tips. While many tips may be rudimentary, there's a gem or two that was worth my time. Since it's a lite version, I don't know a reason why I'd keep it in memory space after reading it once. Perhaps offering a free weekly tip or monthly upgrade would make this a read-many-times app

Just about right. Intelligenti Publishing has a book of tips to sell so they released a free sample. The sample has a variety of tips, some of which almost anyone would know. I doubt anyone bothers to buy, or even download, tips they already know. But even though I've read an iPhone book (David Pogue's excellent Missing Manual) and lots of lists of iPhone and iPad tips, I found several valuable tips that were new to me. I'm not going to get the full set but I'm glad I got this and I can imagine the paid version being worthwhile for lots of folks. I wish more publishers and developers followed this free sample model. Two small gripes: after using iBook, I found the page-turning to be awkward; and I'd've preferred more information per page. (As is, it feels remedial.)

Excellent. I had my iPad2 for about 10 months when I found & downloaded this app. By that time I had already learned some of the tips provided in this Lite version, but I still learned a lot! Maybe not owning an iPhone made more of the tips new to me than some other reviewers have indicated. The format is a very easy read and perfect for just having a few minutes here and there to get through it all. Personally, for the tips that were new to me, I would go try them out to set them in my memory before moving on to the next tip. Bottom line, I found this app to be very nice in every way & have already passed the word on to several people I know that have recently purchased an iPad. What in the world do you have to lose by trying the Lite Version? Upgrade to the Full version if you like it as much as I do, but no obligation and a delete button is even available for the Lite if it disturbs you that bad. Lol.

It's Ok. This is app has some really nice tips for those who have never experienced an apple touch screen product. But for those like who do know some cool tips would think this app is ok. I really like the Emoji keyboard I discovered along with some other tips. But this app should be recommended to those who haven't experienced using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Peace!!💙💙

Quite helpful. This is a really useful app. I wish the iPad came with something like this. I work full-time and I am involved in many projects. When I received the iPad, I did not have a lot of time to sit and play with it. There were times when I wished there was a way to do certain things, but did not realize that I could have if I had only known how. Each tip is displayed on one page with really nice graphics. The directions are simple and easy to understand and follow. While it is true that I have now learned many of these things on my own, it would have been helpful to have this app when I set up my iPad.

Simple, but helpful!. I've been frustrated by the iPad keyboard because I've had to switch keyboards to insert an apostrophe or quotation marks when autocorrect won't know to do it for me. This app showed me a great shortcut to insert characters without having to switch keyboards in Mail, Safari, and other apps. While the vast majority of tips were very basic I think it's worth a look, especially for new users. The interface is clean and graphically pleasing. It has not crashed and the price is unbeatable -- free! You can always uninstall it later.

Good, but new tips are hard to find. I enjoy the app, but it's frustrating to see that somewhere within it there's a new tip--the question is: where is it? A previous version indicated which category the new tip was under. The current version leaves one to go through the categories searching for it. I don't often have time for that and skip the search instead. That cuts down on readership, if the developer cares about page views.

Very helpful!!. Lots of useful tips here! It only took me about 30 minutes to go through the information. With the battery saving tips + the cellular usage tips (certainly didn't have that knowledge) this made me want to buy the paid app. Great job! No wonder its gotten so much TV hype! Thanks for this!
