Great variety. Sometimes looses connection but than may be the network

Great app, recycled gui. I love the comedy channels. I was gonna subscribe to siriusxm just for the comedy channels but found this app and am saving a ton of cash. The interface uses the same gui as their police/rf scanner apps. Oh well, still functional and meets my needs.

Awesome. This is like having an infinite storage of music. Almost unlimited music. I fear the Universe will contract and end all the goodness!!

Just what the Dr ordered to get through long work hours. Really great app, however it would be great to have larger start stop buttons as well as a full screen mode with our skin that can be accessed when the phone is locked. Keep up the good work!

This garbage no longer works. This used to be an ok app, but it no longer works. The servers are always busy or the sites are no longer available or try again later. And the link to support just takes you to a useless list of their apps. What a waste of time.

Stations not available!. I can't understand the great reviews here. From my experience about 95% of the stations I try to listen to return the error message, "station not found try to refresh list". I've found no way to refresh the list. Frustrating and not worth another second of my time.

Van the Man Radio. Wow...enjoying Van the Man radio. Nothing like 24/7 Van Morrison. Started to rip about 30 V.M. cd's to iPod. No need now. Just ripped a few of my all time favorites instead. Keep the Van rolling....

Radio App Review. I've been through some downs in life without any ups (a term is: ups and downs). I found this App to help get me through a depressed moments sometimes. I got an IPhone 4 that had no radio app until I found your site with music for different trends/people. It's Great to have on my phone until times get better for me. Great job you guys & gals! Not Available. I have been using this app for a while. But now the only thing I hear is: “This radio station is not available in your country “ BUMMER BUMMER so much for internet radio.

Good stations, but a lots of Ads. Very good music stations, but a lot of ads in the screen with some you can't close (promo like: We picked your phone..., press OK to participate) and redirects to a web page.

Categories and organization needed for an otherwise good app.. iPad: I would have kept this app if it had better organized the genres and locations of stations. I was hoping to see stations sub organized by sub-genres (example: jazz-Latin jazz, smooth jazz, Dixieland etc...) and organized by country and state. I didn't want to spend hours looking for a radio station I knew I heard on a road trip (knew location) but didn't remember name. Otherwise it was ok.

1st streaming app. Used. I love this app. It was the first streaming app. I used to listen to music. I was waiting in the Dr.'s office & wanted to listen to 1940's music, which I found on this app. It made my wait very pleasant.

This is an amazing app. It’s got every radio that you can imagine I listen to rock 109 which plays classic rock. I always loved the older rock because it’s the era that I grew up in The 80’s is my favorite era. To the developers, keep up the great work guys.

What happened to Howard Stern?. Downloaded this just to listen to Howard Stern, but it won't work. Am I doing something wrong? Other then that I found some good stuff to listen to.

Hit or miss. Great idea but it seems more often than not, I'm refreshing hoping it will find the stations I like (or any stations for that matter.) When it actually works, it works well. But more and more when I open the app, I get a message that the server is full or the station can't be found and I should refresh. After refreshing, closing the app and re-opening about a dozen times, I hit my wall of frustration and open another app or consign myself to a music free day.

For the most part j enjoy it.. I do enjoy this app no matter what genre of music I am enjoying. But there are many times when I will get that disappointing notification that the station that I want to stream is unavailable. Sometimes the station that is streaming will stop right in the middle of transmitting a song.

Nice!. Solid app - stable connection & great selection (at least in my particular genre). I like how unintrusive this app is also. A+ / 5-stars across the board, as far as I'm concerned.

Useable but needs much improvement. If you find a station its great! However there’s a very high volume of stations that aren’t available or don’t work. Also some ads just don’t go away.

Underrated app. Ever since I started using this app I've been finding great new songs! Cant believe I've been missing out on so many wonderful artists :D big thanks to the creators of this app!!! No more ads, I'll be buying that very soon 👍

Will enjoy all day long. Good app for serious listener, very satisfied. I'm not sure if they use Mp3 or AAC streaming, just love the 128 Kbps streaming.

Great app. I like listening to the crossroads blues radio on HD2 but it is hard to find and the reception is spotty. It is a great portable solution! I also use this company's scanner app it works great and in an emergency could be a real lifesaver. If something happens on the news almost anywhere in the world that local areas police Fire and ems usually shoot to the top of the most listened to list giving you information and incite into what's really going on you are never going to get from the local news!!!

Great radio!!. I love that I can just push the pause button, I work and there's no music here so I can stop it whenever I need to, it's awesome I can choose any genre of music great application!!! AAA+++

Great App!. I love the fact that I can pull up stations that are nothing but music of the 80s, otherwise known as the years of junior high school and senior high school. It sure does bring back a lot of great memories!

It’s cool. I really like it... expect picking and finding a channel active but beside that it works well like it and sound is perfect for my Bluetooth speaker yeah I like it a lot... Lol!

Crashing. Do not like pop up ads that fill your whole screen! It’s like being attacked by the ad monster. Then the constant crashing. 😡

OK. I have a few issues with this app. First, why should I pay to remove ads on the app then get to listen to ads on the stations? This type of app only serves one purpose for me, find a station I like then go to the station and pay them to get rid of ads. I did that years ago. Why is it called HiDef radio when most of the stations are 64kbps? The name of the app suggested to me perhaps they were culling stations based on quality, obviously not. The second issue is about 3 minutes after I started the app a game started loading. I suspect because there's a large "X" across the developer's name and one might think that "X" is to cancel out the ad. However, when you peer at the little letters, its confirmation to load the game. About 30 seconds later I felt my SE heat up for the first time since I bought it 2 years ago. I don't like being messed with and I like my battery. If you are into due diligence, click the App Support button and take a look at their website. Rather blatant. Sort of a bait and click answer to earning money on the web.

Best music app ever. Wow I was really surprised how well this works for only 3$. There are so many channels for all types of music. Some don't work but they do get refreshed. Unlike Pandora, this can play all night without it stopping to make sure you're listening. There are commercial breaks but it's no biggie.

Aggravating. App is great, when you can find a station that works, which takes about 48 tries. Stations disappear, sometimes when you're still listening to them. The ads are annoying. Trying to connect is a marathon of refreshing, closing out the app & repeating three times. Could be epic, but is just an incredibly buggy, aggravating experience.

Best salsa. When I can get the station, the music is fantastic. It does have a lot of stations that won't connect. However, there are so many that I always find something I like. I'm happy with the app.

Needs Country. I would give this app a 5 star rating, but as somebody else mentioned a "search by country function" is not offered here. I'm actually talking about the stations that are available on radio and not web based only.

Perfect. It's the best radio app on the app store. Unlike the other radio apps this has all the stations on the net rather the just the one. It's in high-def and on top of that it lets you search for songs as they're playing. It doesn't get any better than this!

A great application!. Downloaded and gave this program a try and was pretty impressed. Comes with a lot of pre-set channels (so many channels) and does what it sets out to do very well. Pro's: Easy to use Free Lots of stations to cycle through and try Con's: Interface can be slow when selecting a station Scrolling through the list of genre's can take forever Some stations repeatedly say 'Thank you for using our app' but never start streaming.. could be a problem with the station Overall a great program that only has a few minor flaws. I will keep trying out the free version for a while longer and consider purchasing the full version.

⭐⭐⭐⭐. Good music But needs to fix some bugs

You can stop looking now.. I've tried a lot of players, including the 'popular' ones. There is a great variety to choose from, and you can find lots of stations with virtually no ads, just the occasional station id. Easy to use and works well in the background. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

Worked for me. I wanted to listen to some classical music on my AirPlay system from an iPad that didn't have any music on it. Downloaded, found some stations and played. That's all I need and it did that very well. And it's free. The ads are somewhat annoying so I might pay to get rid of them. Mostly computer game ads which have no value for me.

Not very good. Tried to open a station. Station not found. Then the app went straight to a full screen ad. Went to delete the app and it took me three tries to get to the delete prompt (the first two presses went to a ‘share this app’ dialogue box.

HiDefRadio. Awesome except at times, on some days, signal cuts out several times.

Waste of time. Like other recent reviewers. Couldn’t find a working station. All came back either “not found” or “server full” or both!

Crap. Nothing Works. Deleted this after five minutes. Every station I tried gave an error message "feed not found" or "feed server full." There are so many good radio apps that you don't need to waste your time with one that is frustrating and just plain doesn't work on an iPhone 6sPlus with latest iOS.

Love it & hate it. Great concept and I use this App often. Drives me crazy having to constantly hit play as this stops playing randomly. It's not my internet - I'm loaded and able to stream anything on many devices. This behaves the same for any device being used for this App - Fix this and it's perfect!

Every stations bit rate or kbps is greater than CD standards (128kbps) which ensures the highest quality sound. They have a vast selection of music that anybody is sure to enjoy & they also broadcast the same stations that your vehicles stereo is capable of receiving (jack FM) I was very impressed by the fact that this app is capable of offering you the same HD channels that you hear about on standard broadcast radio channels that in order to play you would either have to purchase a new head unit capable of offering HD channels or you would have to purchase a special adapter for your vehicles stock head unit to be able to enjoy HD radio. With this iPhone app you can charge your phone & with the use of an auxiliary cable (headphone jack on both ends) listen to any channel thru the HD radio app from your phone! Great app! Very impressed.

Great quality!. Very good and well done.. But.., too many times the connection is lost after several minutes. Honestly not sure if it depends from the station or most likely if it is a bug in the application. Suggestion, take a look and maybe fix it, please! I like this app but..... There are some minor problems: 1. Unable to leave app and multitask. Leaving app causes loss of music & I have to re-enter app. 2. Add more features option does not work on this (free) version of app. I was willing to pay for upgrade thru this app that I already have. So, I will have to install the pay version and then delete the free version? Uummm, why should I have to do this when you advertise that upgrades can be done within the app? Please fix this, then I will pay for the Pro version, and give a higher rating. I use this app on my iTouch (8gb). Other than these nuiances, this app has great sound and great music selection. Received a bogus phone virus message. Avoid this app. Many of the stations are not functional and to top it I received a bogus iPhone virus warning.

Wide Variety; Great Sound Quality!. I was a little skeptical about downloading another radio app, but having gotten this one I'd encourage other people to try it. The variety and number of stations is just awesome while the sound quality of some is just stellar. For sound, I use a Monster Turbine earplug which reproduces sounds from the Hi Def stations at cd quality. Need I say more?

So so. I like the idea of this app a lot, but not it's execution. I have two main complaints: one, it doesn't show the title of the music being played. This information is actually available on af least some stations' web sites, but this app doesn't show it. Second, when the stream dies, it simply gives up on the station and the music stops. This happens mainly when one switches to another app while listening to music. Then, if one goes back and tries to restart the stream, the app dies. This seems like a bug that ought to be fixed. Still, I do like this and use it often to listen to all kinds of great music.

One of my most used apps! Wishing for a few improvements to perfect it!. It has some great music and like that it offers by genre. It allows you to save favorite stations. It is typically clear and available. Wish: I could soundhound or shazam what I am listening. I could scroll genres with the alphabet on the right (like in contacts) so I wouldn't have to keep rolling down with my finger.

Chinese Classical - at last!. When I was a teenager, I checked out a record from the public library that turned out to be Chinese classical - and fell in love. Over this last half century I have searched for more of this genre but not matter how many Chinatowns and music stores I visited no one knew what I was talking about. I have plenty of CD's of what people thought I wanted but not until this music station have I ever found it. Now I tune in every day! Sweet!

Great app. I gave the NYT app one star, this one five. Its simple and stable, though a couple minor enhancements like the ability to control the app before logging into your iPod, and remote compatibility would be great, this is the kind of app that makes innovators smile. Better sound quality than many of the stations' own feeds, and a plethora of music all complied in one place. Great job!!!

Duped Again. This Internet music app is like a few others I've tried. 50% of the stations they boast do not work. "Failed to find station notification". Well, if you can't find it, why is it there in the first place? Should have learned my lesson from the other two radio apps I was duped by. Fooled by the high ratings I guess. Hey, all you good people rating this app highly even though you know the stations don't work, i have a question. When you buy a gallon of milk at the store but you get home to only find that it is half empty, that doesn't bother you? Just me I guess?

Nice app but need some improvements. I love this app as I could find some of my channels. Though there is some scope of improvements as the app hangs after sometime and you cannot access any button but it recovers after couple of seconds. Also in this free app the advertisement below hides the last item in your list. In all it's a nice app and I love it and use it for hours everyday.

Good app small button. The app is a good player. I added my favorite feed and it plays it fairly well. When there is network congestion or limited coverage it times out frequently. The play button is really small and hard to press especially when driving. Update: the timing out of the app is getting awful. I don't quite understand why the app can't stream a station when I am connected to wifi. I press the button to play and before I even release the button it indicates the station no longer exists. I try to play my station about a dozen times then I just give up.

THE radio for iPods. If you are in need of a radio, this is THE app to get! It is perfect. Tons of channels, keeps the connection, can save favorites, organized into categories. I listen to comedy when I'm supposed to be sleeping and laugh so hard that I nearly wake the whole house up. One of the best apps ever made, and it's free! You need to get this app even if you normally don't listen to the radio. I HIGHLY recommend this app. 5 out of 5!

Who Uses Sirius/XM?. I give this app 5 stars just on the variety of choices it offers. It gives you the opportunity to listen to audio that you'd be unable to hear otherwise. There are many stations you won't like, but it's still nice to check it out. I surprisingly found some great French music the other day. Who would've guessed. Great app.

HiDef Radio. Overall, this is an excellent radio app. There are tons of stations to listen to and stations can be chosen by genre. There are a few bugs to this app, however. Some stations simply won't load. Some stations lose connection frequently. Having said that, there are plenty more stations to choose from in any particular genre. I would like to see this app add the song title and artist as the song is playing. This was standard on Nokia Internet Radio, when I had my Nokia E71x smartphone. Instead, all you receive is the number of listeners listening to the station when you are. All in all, I believe this free app is definitely worth the download.

Almost perfect. VERY user-friendly! This app is extremely easy to use and the audio quality sounds better than a lot of local stations broadcasting on FM radio. The one improvement I'd like to see (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is I'd prefer that the app would display the artist and title of the track playing--instead of constantly displaying only the station information.

Great app. I've had this app for only 30 minutes and I already love it. I just have 2 suggestions. 1) allow it to play in the background and 2) allow me to imput a local radio stations # (97.1 for example). If you do this, then I'll give this app infinate stars. As this app is though, it is still the best radio app out in the app store.

Poorly designed app!!. It's all about the ads!! This could be a great app accept the developer doesn't appreciate the user. Instead of providing a good experience for the user, the developer just swamps the user with as after as, including video ads. The ads lock up an will not clear without restarting the app. The audio is choppy and often illegible probably because the ads are sucking up all the bandwidth. NOT RECOMMENDED!! Developer should understand that users will not give "Any" consideration to an ad if it's annoying and totally distracting to the app's function.

Unreliable. THIS APP WAS TESTED ON MULTIPLE SMARTPHONES BY MULTIPLE USERS. THESE ARE THE RESULTS. Although this app appears to offer a wide range of music, we have found that during most hours of the day, the stations are either offline, or they have simply gone off the air. Although this happens often with Internet radio search apps, the annoying part is that the administrators of this app never "clean house". As a result, you may find stations you really want to hear, but they will not be available, and you will spend a great deal of time trying to find one that actually works. When you do, the stations will sometimes suddenly drop, and cannot be restarted. Overall rating of this app by our group was 1 star.

Useless. Are there actually any “available “ channels... after thirty minutes of searching I still haven’t found one... massive waste of time...

Painfully Poor Quality. I am extremely disappointed in this App. The connection keeps dropping and I can't change from one station to another without it completely crashing. Half of the time it simply won't work at all, no stations will come up or it will keep saying "Press Play to Listen" but nothing happens. I want to listen to these exotic stations, but until A LOT of work is done on this App it seems like I'll have to be content with picking up five second bits between connection drops.

Very pleased. I love the design and I love the options, though there are way too many. One thing I've noticed is that sometimes when I've clicked around to my favorites a lot and then settle on one, sometimes after a few minutes it goes back to one of the other channels without any prompt, even though it says it hasn't changed. Also, it loses the connection fairly often. But overall I like the app very much.

Great radio app to have. It's a wonderful app. It has excellent sound, enormous variety of stations. Some times some stations can not be uploaded but it is not the rule. You will be able to connect with the world of radio in a special way; as you used to do when being a kid in the 1970's explored SW radio. Get it if you really like radio.

Nice idea, BUT.... App is horribly made. Crashes continually, even for no apparent reason during play. Cannot access stations on favorite list. Keep getting error that the station cannot be accessed and yet when I go through genre category, the same station plays just fine. Some categories open up to blank pages but not always. Try again and there are stations there. Some stations cannot be browsed. The only way to get them is by search. Clean up this app and I would change my rating but until then, there are other free radio streaming apps that do the exact same thing that are far more stable and reliable. You get what you pay for here.

Hi-Def Radio. "The Best on the Web". I've been looking for a great Internet radio site that doesn't play all the local stuff and commercials that you don't want to hear. HI-DEF RADIO Is IT!! Most radio stations repeat songs every day. On HiDef radio you could choose what type of music you want to hear, any station almost worldwide, in any style too. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!. So we moved to Okinawa and there is 1 Japanese radio station and 1 English station. Not joking. I was missing my county music. Found this app and I am in love. So many stations from around the world and each plays a great selection. I've been using it daily for 2 months using my iPhone (not connected to a carrier) just using wifi and have not had a single issue. No down time, never shuts down, and no lag at all.

Not HD Radio. I was trying to stream HD radio in the Chicago area and this was just a bunch of homemade streaming channels.

App review. I absolutely love the music on this app, but would it be too much to ask to list the artist and song/album of the songs being played? It would stand to reason that if you were promoting various artists by playing their music, that you would actually follow through and do this. I presume I have to pay extra for this?

Great Selection. I love this app! I have always listened to smooth jazz at work but it has faded away from local radio over the last few years. HiDef radio has what seems like an infinite number of stations of this genre as well as others. I've never had a problem with it crashing or freezing and the advertisements are minimal. I highly recommend this app.

HiDefRadio. This app provides a large variety of radio listening, with high quality sound. I have not experienced any ongoing problems with it. I am unable to get it to display in an upright position, when the iPad has its long side down. It doesn't rotate automatically for me. I often listen to it while working on another computer. I really like it!

Love it and can't stop using it!. Man I love this app, finally a free, reliable Internet radio app that's FREE and easy to use, I love the genres selection and favorites. I recommended this to a few of my friends and everyone of them was listing the very next day. And by the way, this us the same people that brought us 5-0 police scanner, which I use everyday. Thanks guys for such great apps, can't wait to see what you guys roll out in the future.

Will it work in CarPlay?. Please….?

Works better than expected.. I was pleasantly surprised with the function of this app; it really works. Need to spend a little time finding the stations you may be after, but once found, and saved to favorites, the app works flawlessly. I seldom use a real radio anymore, when at home. Try it, you'll like it.

It's almost excellent. What it needs is like more radio stations of specific likes that would benefit mostly almost anybody would be satisfied with, like a Metal Gear Solid series station where it plays Many songs made by people and lots of songs inside all the series, or a Minecraft station, where its songs will be played, or a 1 to be greatly popular, a Fallout 3 station! I and many people would love that! Over 9milion fallout fans r out there!

Wish I was there. America the beautiful when it mattered. When our Constitution wasn't tore apart and interpreted by someone who doesn't even believe in the Americans way of life. Just put my Bose in ear headphones in and go way back to when it meant something to have respect for our President and the President knew why he was there, for the people. Helps remind you how it used to be, takes you right back to the time and place. The America dream revived. Our 8 year old Grandson tells us he wants to "watch" another one, right there tells you there's no generation radio will miss only if you bother to listen. Thank you for bringing back the "American way".

NEEDS WORK. The app looks good, but there are a few problems. I have the paid version of HIDef Radio and after reading the instructions, (which are useless), I cannot record a station. The developers need to take some time and fill in the instructions for the entire app. The best 2 features of the app are 1) the ability to save favs to an easy to access list, 2) being able to change the appearance through the users own photos. If the developers want to bring this app to the top they should add 30 or so preset buttons on the bottom of the main screen. Almost no radio apps do this and it is needed.......

Great App. Best app I have come across, to listen to music.

It's great download. Has lot to offer for it. Covers all walks of music for every one young and old. I just wish some stations would stay on longer then25to 30 min like Howard stern channel. Haven't heard him over two years now. It get on my never when they say feeds is up thank you for listing try again soon I've been disable two years now and some all I can do to help forget pain and other things This service makes. My day go buy my much more enjoyable.

Great Tool!. In this rural portion of SW Florida, a service like yours is a must.
