Excellent app, but needs a couple fixes and additions. This is an excellent app for those who grew up in the times that these consoles were big! Anyone could just download a song for any console and they can listen to it like the days they were playing the games. A couple flaws should be addressed though, if you are still making any updates to the app. First off, the NES tunes should be given actual names rather than “Track #x”. Second, the sound effects in NES games should be listed separate from the songs, because their lengths differ immensely. Third, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Wii, and other consoles’ tunes should be added in. These were the first few consoles to have the most realistic music, and they have much greater quality. Lastly, some games don’t have all their tunes and sounds from their original ROMs, like PlayStation’s Castlevania: Symphony Of the Night. Only “Master Librarian” and what may be an unused track are included. I would like a response if you plan to continue to make improvements to this app. Overall, this is very useful and brings us back to our childhoods!

Near perfect retro chip tunes player. All the tracks for all games on all systems are now scrambled for some reason for the last few updates But everything plays beautifully. The ability to play PlayStation and ninteno64 music along with snes music is totally worth the price. The PlayStation console music version of the app had different functionality and I kind of liked having both apps.

Great but sometimes frustrating. The sound quality on this is great and the variety of game soundtracks to choose from is astounding. However, some games' soundtracks sound distorted and weird such as Metroid Zero Mission's and some soundtracks are missing important songs (Such as how Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is missing both Pursuit~ Overtaken and Guilty Love, Gavin's theme)! This is a really frustrating issue, but, overall the app is pretty great for listening to retro soundtracks on the go.

It Kept Crashing. I downloaded the Super Mario World soundtrack, and the app crashed. Since then, every time I attempt to open Snesmusic, the app crashes. It brings up the soundtrack select screen, stays on for about 3 seconds and then I’m back on my home screen. If you could fix this or have any advice, that would be great! If you can fix it, I will give it five stars. Thanks!

Good sound, but.... Overall this app is useful because the music sounds very faithful to the original consoles in most cases. There are exceptions to that (Forgotten Worlds for Genesis sounds pretty awful, for example). Also, the app is relatively lightweight and you can pick and choose which soundtracks you want pretty easily. However, it's got some issues that have never been addressed and the app has been out for quite some time. 1) I paid to unlock a few systems a while ago and I just upgraded my phone and switched to the latest version of the app. Now the option to download music for the Turbografx (PC Engine) is gone. So there's no way to get that music back on there. 2) The ability to customize playback is very limited, for example there are no options to specify that songs should be looped twice before fading out gradually. Instead, the songs start, play through once, and then stop abruptly, most of the time right in the middle of a note, which is very jarring. 3) There is no normalize volume option, no option to display cover art of the game you're listening to, etc... stuff that would be really nice to have. There really aren't any options at all. If he could make sure that songs for all consoles could be downloaded, and there were just a few options for customization of playback, this app would go from 2 to 5 stars for me.

Great app! Needs one little fix though. This app is a great trip into the past of video game music history. Not just SNES music either, many consoles are available. The only issue that must be fixed is the Same game on Different system bug..... say you DL street fighter 2 on SNES then on Genesis, it will cause the SNES tracks to not play. Please look into this as it really is a downer not to be able to compare tracks for one system to the other

Great app for VG music lovers but after last update it's broken.. This app is just perfect for those who love to listen to their catchy video game musical memories. Unfortunately the most recent update killed the app to the point of it freezing and crashing after a few seconds during a game download, then unable to launch it again and you have to reinstall the whole app, which means reinstalling all your music. Hopefully the dev fixes it soon! Otherwise don’t waste your time building a big library only for it to crash out on you and have to delete the whole thing.

My Review. I had this app on my old iphone and it was my 2nd most used app, i loved it, then when i switched my phones and tried to get this same app again, it crashes everytime i use it, if this is fixable please fix this bug, but on my old phone, this was an amazing app whoever made this should be proud!

Ah the 80's!. As an 80's child I'm totally addicted to this app! I primarily got this app just for the NES songs. It's amazing how music programmers back then created such catchy tunes on an 8 bit video game system! This app has access to a huge library of video game songs from the original NES to the PSX (although I think the PSX library is limited as I write this). It's not the perfect app as I'm sure there are some minor bugs (like the fact that I can't add Zillion to my playlist). Still, all I all a great app worth the $3.99.

Fantastic!. I love this app! I’m a big fan on Super Mario world and a few other snes games and now I can listen to the themes without having to put them as songs on my phone! And it has all the sounds too! Only complaint is that for SMW the songs have incorrect names, so if you play bowsers castle theme it will play overworld instead.

Wonderful App. I’d love to see more content and consoles added but all in all, this is a great app and it’s worth the price for all you get when you purchase it. There is an issue that sometimes the app crashes and the only way to resolve it is to remove and reinstall it. Other than that no complaints. Running it on an iPhone 11 with iOS 13.5.1. Please keep this app updated.

Nostalgia. I had a iPhone 5, the app never crashed for me with that device, even after purchasing many of the system expansions. I now have a iPhone 6 still no crashing. Many people in the reviews seem to be having issues but I don't. I don't have time to play these games at this point in my life so I listen to the soundtracks and am transported to my youth when the world was so small and simple. It is my favorite app.

The Ultimate Music App. If you haven’t discovered this little gem, come over to my house. This literally lets you download and make playlists out of every single Nintendo game you can think of, and more. What I learned is that some of the weirdest and wildest video games I’ve never heard of have some of the best, most forgotten compositions in soundtrack that exist. Listen to Predator, Lethal Weapon, Metroid– these are real features that perhaps outlive the thing they came with. I love Music, and every music-lover I’ve shown this app to is equally ecstatic. Dude, Jaws. A bunch of these games have music that deserves to boo not forgotten. Punch play.

A direct portal to my childhood. Why oh WHY doesn’t this app get more love? Holy flashback—every electronic strain of Double Dragon or Final Fantasy 4 sends me back to a time when sitting slack-jawed in front of the NES with my kid brother every day after school was the ONLY thing that mattered. Battling Fratellis and Soda Popsinski, arguing over whether the Ninja Blacksox or Boston Frogs were the toughest sports team ever, bonding over the youthful wisdom that can only be acquired when one discovers that 3D World Runner literally had no point whatsoever—all of those memories are HERE, captured in this music and contained in one app for a price that costs next to nothing. Chills. Props to the developer. Please don’t abandon this app.

App is falling apart. I’ve been using this app for years. Needs an update. Downloading some music files crashes the app immediately. Problem is, there’s no telling which ones will do this. Furthermore, it then crashes everytime you reopen the app. Had to uninstall to fix the crashing, erasing my library and playlists three times now... Devs... PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE I love your app otherwise, and will gladly change to 5 star if you fix the crashing.

Very Good. One important issue.. I'm having trouble playing N64 and PS1 songs. For N64, the songs will randomly cut out, sometimes crashing the app. This is most present in the Legend of Zelda soundtracks. For PS1, the playlists will download but the tracks will only appear as "n/a" with no music to play. If I had to ask for two things from this app, please take the time to look into the issues listed above, and please add the Metal Gear Solid 1 soundtrack. Other than those, this app is great for downloading nostalgia and childhood memories. Thank you.

Love this app but.... There is a bug that I wish you would fix, if you are downloading a soundtrack and start downloading a second one at the same time it breaks the app and you have to start over again from nothing, delete the app, redownload the app and start building back up your library from nothing... SO frustrating!!! Please fix this bug OMG!!!

Great Retro Video Game Music App!!. Love love love this app!! Have had it downloaded for about 6 years now. It’s somewhat barebones but honestly not much of an issue! You can download all your favorite games easily, and easily access all of the soundtracks. Would highly recommend for anyone for anyone who wants to hear some good nostalgic music.

Great way to enjoy old music. This is a great app for listening to old game music! It works great as a music player, even continuing to play music over night if you so wish. Simple touch interface for immediate gratification for whatever song you want to listen to, shuffle, looping, etc. You can’t exactly add your own music either in a WAV/MP3 format or their “native” formats even for those games that are missing or incomplete. That said, their library is pretty solid for most of the popular games on each platform. Still, I would appreciate an obvious way to add music to the app, either directly attached or within the app itself.

Was great when I first downloaded it but.... I loved this app (and still do) however, the app freezes up and now it loads up for a moment and closes out of itself. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it still crashes. Please fix this ASAP- I miss my retro soundtracks (especially Final Fantasy Mystic Quest). I normally would give something like this a 5 star rating but the constant crashing and inability to even use it makes the app unusable.

Great app!. I love this app. This exactly what I've been looking for. However it does have a few problems. Certain n64 sounds won't play (the app tells you "your device is too slow to play this song") and certain individual song on other soundtracks won't play (the app skips them). I only have n64 so I don't know about the other systems. The app would be even better if you could fix those issues.

Worth it in every sense.. $1 to unlock a console that houses hundreds if not thousands of songs? No brainer! You get SNES for free and honestly you could stop there (SNES has some of the best tracks). Sure some of the song names are off. Sure sound effects sometimes make it into the track set but you can delete them as you wish. People gripe over the dumbest things. Take this app and it’s purchases for what it is: a simplified rom bgm player. Worth the surprise couple of dollars I found in my jeans pocket after going through the wash.

Retro Games Music Mania. Fun and easy to use app to enjoy the classic game jams from many consoles of from the good, care free days! Mostly works great, except few bugs where the track title of the current track playin gets stuck on the player screen if you leave the player screen into the library list of game soundtracks and then choose to open the player screen again to see what track it is currently playin - shows same track title when you left the player screen while already playin other track from the list. That is very annoyin and distractin. To refresh the current track title playin, must skip back or forward, then forward or back again. Same goes for the iPhone drop down tray and on Lock Screen - title display does not follow the current track playin. Would love to see the bug fix update for these defects. Usin 12 Pro Max device with iOS 15.6.1 and soon will update to 16.1.1 to see if this issue remains. Bottom line, this is a fabulous app for enjoyin and rockin the classic game jams and I use it often!

Great, but a few flaws.. This is amazing. It's a great way to get your favorite game themes for cheap! I do have 2 complaints though. The first is a glitch. Sometimes when I try to text a menu, it doesn't work. I tap over and over but nothing happens. It's easy to fix, just restart the app, but got quite annoying. Luckily it doesn't happen very often. Second, is a minor complaint. The NES themes aren't labeled. They only say Track 01 Track 02 etc. otherwise a perfect app.

Kid in a candy shop. Seriously, this is the best thing ever for VGM lovers! There is just about everything you could wish for. The layout is basic but very easy to use. You can download from hundreds of soundtracks and browse by system or game. I had this app on my old phone and they finally have it upgraded to work on my new one. The only downside is it can occasionally crash. However, it is very rare and shouldn’t take away from your positive experience.

Love this app but.... Can you try to fix the NES Star Wars Lucasfilms and Piccarri Games versions? Every time I download one on Star Wars it’s fine, but when I download the other one it doesn’t show, cause I have to delete the one I first downloaded and the 2 one comes in, when I try to playlist it gives the same one of the companies that is not supposed to happen, it’s supposed to be different not the same one. Please try to fix this problem please cause I don’t want to delete then redownload again.

Could be Better. I love the app but it could have free consoles and the Nintendo Switch and all of it’s games. This app could also fix some bugs like when you’re downloading and listening to music at the same time it crashes when you reopen the app... At least it happened to me. SNES music. This a perfect app to listen your favorite SNES games that are enjoyable to listen. I could find my favorite music based on the games that I played through my childhood in the 90s. Searching for the album and a quick download to your phone doesn’t affect your phone at any cost. You can pick a list of albums and then download them at ease.

Missing a few games. Developer I love SnesMusic a direct connection to the childhood past, I do feel it’s missing a number of games like sonic CD, Spyro the dragon, Spyro 2 ripto’s rage, Spyro year of the dragon I think that’s all I know for now and I would love to see it in the next update soon. I would like to see it in SnesMusic one day.

Great idea....but. I’ve been using the application for nearly a year at this point. I’ve gotten the opportunity to know the ups and downs and there are plenty! Pros: Supports music files from most systems from 1980’s - 1995. Emulates most of the music just as it is to be heard. Playlists available for curating your own desires tracks for your go to retro music. Cons: The app utterly needs to be updated and polished. The UI isn’t very appealing and feels as if like I’m trapped on an iPhone from 10 years ago. There is no cache data to retain your curated playlists in case you uninstall the application or if it crashes and gets stuck in a boot loop. It now crashes after you update to iOS 13. All in all, I loved it, but wish it were maintained. Especially since the developer is still charging people to unlock more systems. Very “scam-y”.

Awesome App, but have you considered Emulators?. "This is awesome it reminds me of my favorite games one thing tho I wish at least NES & SNES bc I love the original The Legend Of Zelda Also maybe for some games like Super Mario World A Emulator At least Maybe like a one that runs on iPad like lower def maybe (Also this goes with the emulator suggestion A.K.A Smw Emulator but maybe even Zelda I would love it being able to play Zelda when my nes isn’t even plugged in I.e I’m forced to play snes games like smw uh Chester cheetah too cool to fool which is not bad but smw is better anyway ya) So Maybe Also I’m like 1.1% Done with the whole smw playlist all the sounds and music and stuff but I got that 1.1 in probably like 1 1 & A Half Hour (1 And 30 mins or just 1 hour)But ya Also I have no idea why this is so long but I’ll stop right here right now."

Please add some games?. I absolutely love this app, hands down, nothing beats it. Except, I noticed some of the games I liked the music to weren't on here, specifically Pokemon Black/White (DS), BW2 (DS), Pokemon Conquest (DS), Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team (GBA), and Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness and Sky (DS). These are just ones I love the soundtrack too, and noticed that the app didn't have these games. Anyway, thank you for this app, it's beautiful.

Nostalgia!!. I downloaded this app and idk how it got so of a rating but it’s honestly the best!! Nostalgia hits me so hard listening to these soundtracks almost to a point I shed a few tears. It just brings back my childhood man and thanks to this app I can relive it again. I paid for the n64 playlist and it was money well spent. The Rainbow road soundtrack from Mario 64 hits me every time thanks for the app!

Love it!!. Use this app every day! The best tunes for nostalgia as well as background music while I sit and work. Grew up playing all these systems and game with my friends. We used to try and record the music on cassette tape. So I am so excited to have a way to play all these tunes and amazing sound and with me everywhere I go without having to rewind tapes :D

Perfect App!. I love this app and use it when ever I feel like listening to great console music. I do feel like some important consoles are being left out, like the newer ones like the GameCube, Wii, Wii U and 3DS, but is is supposed to be an old school console music app. Maybe you could make an app for all of the newer consoles. Again, great app and I recommend it to any old school gamers out there!

Tracks Are Now in Random Order. I have been very fond of this app for a long time. It has been a great way to listen to a large selection of video game soundtracks without requiring a massive download size. There are issues with cut off time for tracks but I could get past that for the most part. Now there’s a bug of some sort that is making all the tracks in random order. It wasn’t always like this, I use the app somewhat regularly and the tracks have always been in correct order for the longest time. Now it is hard for me to recommend this now given the issue. I hope the developer is able to fix this issue but it has been years since the last update so idk.

SnesMusic. Best app yet by far has almost everything and anything that has to do with soundtracks to any game ever played blessings to all for making this possible may tour hard work be commended and may your efforts still shine and rise to possibly make a snesmusic part 2 with many new games along the way in this future there’s bound to be a lot more soundtracks to be discovered and god be with you all who take part into making it happen for random gamers like me blessings may Jesus Christ help you by inspiration and sound to captivate this good app as it is and may god protect our internet and cyberspace access with less of those bugs and minor fixes thank you all again and hopefully there could be a snesmusic part 2 god bless bye

I love it but..... Love this app. I grew up with the old consoles so this was very exciting to get. Had it now for years without issues. Then last week, it crashed on opening. I reopened and it crashed. I restarted the iPad, opened the app, and it crashed. I had to uninstall the app, which loses all the music files in the process, and reinstall it fresh. Yay....good to go. I started downloading music files, repopulating what I had lost, listening to Starfox, then it crashed. I deleted then reinstalled. Turns out, if you are listening to a song while downloading, the app cannot handle the data and it locks it up. First, iOS 11 takes away the NES music player, and now this? I am scared to download anymore game files for fear that I will have to re-download everything again.

A few flaws, but a great app!. For a while, this was my favorite music app to use. The option to loop the songs was a great addition, but sometimes, when you play a song, it will play at about 2/3 its original speed. I was actually wondering if that could somehow be made into a feature to speed up and slow down, since a lot of songs sound pretty good slowed down. Another thing I wanted to mention is that the PC Engine library of music basically disappeared out of the blue? What's with that? Either way, I enjoy the app a lot. Would give it 5 stars, but it has a couple of issues it needs to fix. (Also, where's my Sega Saturn OSTs?!)

Use this all the time!. Holy cow, I'm a VGM junkie and this app sounds amazing. I use it all the time, and the easier-to-use downloading interface is so excellent for grabbing music on the go. The only thing I'm wondering is, where's the TurboGrafx/ PC Engine download section? Is it because some of the packs contain CD audio data? I'd really love to have a way to grab those tunes instead of needing to use iTunes to manually insert it. Anyways, thanks for the amazing app I hope the PCE omission can be rectified!

My go-to For Retro Music. The interface is very user friendly and it’s easy to download game soundtracks. I personally use the playlist features most often, which are very useful to get exactly what I want to listen to. However, one of my favorite DS games isn’t on the app. Sonic Colors DS isn’t an obscure game by any means and deserves to be available. I hope you can update the app to import it, since the soundtrack is among my favorites on the DS. Again, wonderful app and I’m very happy with my experiences!

Too good to be true. It has all the old games with the original sounds. It’s amazing. The interface is easy to use - simple and quick. I wish there was a way to set up pausing or fading between tracks; they just barrel through without a break. Also I’m encountering a glitch where if I start a playlist, I can only add to it from games that existed when I created the list (games I’ve downloaded afterward don’t show up on the + button from the playlist - I have to go to the game itself and add it to the list that way) This program is giving me nostalgia for the music I grew up on and for that I am grateful!

Often kicks me out. Great music! But I hate it when listening to something dope and it kicks you out of the app. Also the screen area is cut off and there is extra black space, so updating it to fit newer phones (like at least the iPhone X) would be great. The deals to get the other systems music is surprisingly not too bad (don’t make it more expensive). So yeah the music is good but it could use some updates and fixes.

IT’s people like you who make Nintendo write cease and desists,. I downloaded the app thinking “hey, this seems cool, a way to listen to older Nintendo music.” But no, I was SO WRONG. You make people pay to listen to these older songs outside of trying to find an MP3 of them that doesn’t have a virus. Now, for the title. Nintendo sees this, and thinks that everyone offering their older music is charging money for it. Even though most people don’t, the reason this is so bad is because I can’t find anywhere else that provides old game music. Because Nintendo too it down!

Best Music App. I love SNES music, but there are some issues and suggestions that I want to list. When I select a song, the music would slow down sometimes. Selecting a pacific song would crash the app. Also, where is PC engine? Can you add more game consuls like GameCube, PlayStation 2 and sega CD? Can you also add a rewind and fast-forward options? But overall this app is great. Thank you for that.

NONE of the systems are free. Despite what the app description says and despite what you are led to believe in this app itself, NO SYSTEMS, and NO SONGS are free... at all. When you try to download anything for ANY system (yes I tried them all) then try to play them, it tells you the "system is locked" and to pay the 99cents to 3 dollars to unlock the systems. There is even a "NES FREE - RESTORE" button that does absolutely nothing at all but spin around for awhile then crash. I will be reporting this app to Apple for false advertising. The description needs to be updated or the app removed....period.

Best music player I have ever seen!. (REAL QUICK, PEOPLE COMPLAIN YOU CAN'T PLAY GAMES BUT, THE TEXT BELOW THE SCREENSHOTS SAY IT IS A MUSIC ONLY APP) I really enjoy SNES music and I use it every day! I'm glad I can listen to DKC and Banjo Kazooie music anytime anywhere! The only problem would be with DK64 does not work with IPHONE 5 and lower. I don't care too much but, My favorite game of all time is DK64. Over all, this is the best app in the app store!

Still works in 2023. This app is the best app for listening to retro console game music! For the last several yrs i thought the app was broken in the latest version of iOS, but I believe my install had become corrupted— upon deleting and reinstalling, it works perfectly again! Hope that helps anyone who might have confronted the same issue.

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.. With the addition of auto-adding downloaded songs in v3.3, this app just became perfect in my opinion. Couldn't rate this high enough.

Why is NESmusic no longer supported?. I paid for the previous version NESmusic, paid for all the consoles, now i have to pay all over again for SNESmusic as the older NESmusic no longer works? Pretty poor effort.

Slight playback issues, no looping, no fade-out. I'm having slight playback issues, some instruments do not play (probably due to a low polyphony count). Looping and fading is a must, most tracks sound like they have very abrupt ending. As a user, I would actually consider using a program to convert to MP3 and putting them into iTunes, so I'll just wait for an update to hopefully fix these issues.

Missing music. Some notable music is missing from this selection, especially strange after finding the music on the website this app uses as a source. Notably, Pokémon BW and BW2. At first I thought it was due to the age of the app, which was untrue, seeing the date of the last update being well after the ds’s lifespan, the newest console on the app. It’s unlikely the app will be updated any time soon. Don’t get this app if you wish for a full music collection, just use YouTube like a normal person. NOTE: As far as I’m aware, as of iOS 14, and recent, previous update, this app cannot open ds music files downloaded of an internet browser, and quite possibly any other music files, this is an old app that will likely never get support again. It may be possible through iTunes still, however, is it worth going though those extra steps. Personally, it is not. I DO NOT recommend this app, unless there is a much needed update.

Great app for those looking for accurate sound emulation across many systems. If you want to listen to retro songs on your phone, this is the way. Perfect sound emulation in every way I can see when compared to the consoles I own supported by the app. The only features I feel are missing are "extras" that aren't an absolute necessity but I would love regardless, such as MSU1 for SNES support and the ability to pull game covers from the internet automatically in a similar way to Open Emu. Support for the following systems would be nice however; Mega CD Game Gear Sega Saturn Possibly certain arcade boards?

Nostalgia all over again. This app is totally fantastic, but I would LOVE to see an endless loop button, say, because Starfox has such short but epic loops I would really like to see something like a loop button so I can groove to the tunes of Starfox, FFVI, Kirby, Mario, Ect. Endlessly!

The people who made most reviews for this are dumb.. It CLEARLY states in the about that you cannot play games with this. Also the title of the app is literally called SNESMusic, lol. Edit: literally everything except SNES needs to be purchased, and pretty much all of the songs are copyrighted. So basically, you’re probably going to get a fine from Nintendo about copyrighted songs being paid for and you getting all the profit instead of Nintendo. A Gaming Music Must-Have!. Incredibly good app, and a must-have for retro gamers. Plays most music perfectly at a fraction of the space it would take to put mp3s of the same thing on an iPhone/iPod/iPad. Easy to use, and plenty of accessible music downloadable straight to the app. My only gripe is that albums loop continuously rather than going onto the next game in the playlist. But other than that, well worth the money!

Pretty Solid App. Very convenient for listening to SNES music and the like offline. The downloads bar is well-designed and makes it fast to find certain games. One concern though is that it doesn't have all of the game soundtracks like the NES/PlayStation sister apps, but I can cope. The image function is neat and the offline listening (because of the downloading) is very convenient. It is overall a good app that could do with a bit of improvement.

Crashes. Every time I play the wing cap music from Mario 64 it crashes.

Needs lots of debugging!. I'll continue downloading & deleting this app over and over again and making a list of all games that cause it to crash for me. So far that's 4 games, all on N64. Also it only plays a few seconds of the DK64 songs. If you can get it so no game makes it crash, I'll give you a higher rating. Looks like this is going to be a long weekend.

Why pay??. Why do I need to pay to listen to music??

Nintendo 64 Problems. This app is pretty good overall, however whenever I try to listen to the Nintendo 64 portion of the app, the music will stop and a notice will appear saying "Your device is too slow to play this song". I have an Apple iPod Touch 5th generation that has the most up to date software, and since I paid for usage of the Nintendo 64 extension, I would like to listen to the music uninterrupted. Please fix this problem. Thank you.

I love this app! Give it an update, please!. This app is absolutely my go-to music app if I don't feel like listening to Apple Music and I need a nostalgia hit. I love it and its content. I wish this app had more love so that it could he updated for the current iPhones. The app is now starting to crash upon opening, and I've suddenly lost half my library. Glitches?. I love this app, it gives me so much nostalgia, but there are a couple glitches that mess it up. Great concept, though!

I LOVE IT. This app is a must for every lazy ( in a good way) retro game lover. However, it could be improved. For example, you can't change the name of your playlist after creating it and reorganizing its tracks is a bit funky if you don't it "done" once in a while. Also, downloading a game's soundtrack a second time doesn't restore the tracks you might have deleted by accident for example. Lastly, the "skip less than 10s track doesn't work really well but it's a great idea. I hope my feedback helped you despite my difficulty to express myself in English. You are doing great, keep it up!

Love it. Does as read on the tin Developer actually reads feedback and implements some sane requests <3 Very good performance, easy to use! The online album art picker occasionally misbehaves for me but I think that's Google Image's fault It doesn't have a seek bar [yet?] for jumping to a place in song (that is a bit difficult to do properly for some modular formats like these, SPC's a biatch!) but usually that isn't necessary for this kind of music so that's ok! Love the app, SO USEFUL. Looking forward to lots of usage :)

Good but broken. All of the songs are well done, however none of the N64 songs actually work, whenever I try to play an N64 song it cuts out after 2 seconds. Please fix this and my rating will go higher.

Fantastic app with some small problems. It's one of my favourites but unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a while and it's starting to have ha hard time with the new versions of iOS. Sounds like Apple won't let the dev update it.

Good music app. Yes it’s a music app...it says it right in the title, if you think you’re going to be able to play all the console games through this app you’re an idiot. It has a great selection of game music and the files I’ve listened to all play well.

Unofficial SnesMusic Review. Really great app. The “in-app purchases” are just for unlocking more consoles: $1.49 per console OR $5.49 for all consoles. Anyone complaining about having to pay are really just saying five and a half bucks is too much money. SnesMusic gives access to a wide range of soundtracks from a diverse group of consoles, including NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, Sega Mega Drive, Sega Master System, PC Engine, PS1, DS and Game Boy Advance. And you can get all of that for a one time payment of $5.49. The app also uses very little battery power and doesn’t require wifi. I haven’t encountered any crashes or glitches in the almost 3 weeks I’ve had it. It’s also the only place I can find music from games such as Times of Lore, Klax and Fantasy Zone. I love SnesMusic and hope that they will continue to update it so that it can remain in the App Store for years to come. SnesMusic is my #1 choice for music from classic games. Low cost, easy to navigate and a wide variety of soundtracks and consoles. Would definitely recommend.

What a WASTE! Stay Away!!. I bought thinking it was a console emulator. After purchasing, I noticed that it doesn't play consoles, as stated in description... it plays music from console games.. and even that is complicated and does not always work. Waste of money and time.

Soooo much music, from so many systems (not just SNES). This is about as good as you can find anywhere for a dedicated console music player. Perfect emulation, sounds exactly as they should, and they are a small fraction of the size of mp3s. Access to a huge library is linked within the app. Well worth upgrading to allow for all systems (Genesis, Game Gear, MSX, NES, GBA, etc.). The developer made this possible for game music enthusiasts like me so I am grateful. Simple, easy to use. I listen to it all the time at work and I can get a ton of work done lol. Love it.

Please fix!. Just buyed the full pack for the ipod touch 4th gen but it crash with a lot of nds soundtrack!!

Cool app. Great idea. Lots of tracks and games

Potentially great, lots of glitches, needs much work. This should be 5 star app, but it is full of glitches. And yes, I know this is a music app, not an emu. I would gladly revise this to a five star rating if the creator fixes these glitches: 1) Editing playlists is a nightmare: changes aren’t reflected, the songs you are moving/deleting aren’t the actual songs you are editing; it is faster to re-create entire playlist rather than modify it. It is glitchy as hell and needs immediate updating. 2). The consoles are inaccurate! Under the systems menu it shows “PC engine “ but you can’t add songs for it. Conversely you can DL songs for MSX and gamegear but the app can’t play them. 3) The downloadable song directories are outdated and missing lots of games. 4) there is no way to edit song info, frustrating since many games have no song titles or any information. 5) “Skip less than 10 second tracks“ only skips songs about 1 to two seconds 6) songs can randomly become corrupted. some soundtracks don’t work at all and will even crash the app. 7) song album cover feature won’t work if you search for an image online it just applies the same image to all games. The app creator hasn’t updated the app in a very long time. Again, i would gladly revise this to a five star rating if they fix these issues. The playlist glitches are really bad and need to be fixed ASAP. It is so disappointing because this should be one of the best apps in the App Store.

May it be remembering your first playthrough of Super Mario World or these tough races with competitive friends in Diddy Kong Racing, this has it all. Only this wluld be to add fading for all Systems between song switches NOTE: SNES is the only system available by default. A bundle is available for purchase at a rediculously low price.

FIX THE TRACKLIST ORDER I beg of you. I’ve been using this for quite a few years now, but on iPhone higher than 5, the tracks are all scrambled with no way to select between different track sorting methods.

Wish it could get an update. Had this app for years, it’s a great way to listen to game music on loop, unfortunately some of the files available for download cause the app to crash immediately and continue to crash upon reloading, requiring deletion of the app and redownloading to fix it.

Stop nitpicking, this is amazing!. Seriously for 1 measly buck you get access to almost every single SNES and NES soundtrack ever. This is so rad! Everybody else on here should shut up and thank whoever put all the work into making this.

Fantastic App! ...but. I love this app so much. I listen to it more than my iTunes music collection. The last update was awesome; giving you the ability to more easily find and download soundtracks. However, some N64 soundtracks are still freezing it up. It's infuriating that I can't listen to Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter. Please please please fix this!

Bugs Need Fixing!. I love this app, but major problems persist. The first problem is that any songs or games that have the same name WON’T play. The second problem is the order of the tracks get messed up if one song is deleted, then the whole album is deleted, and then re-downloaded again. A tweak I’d like to see is the option the turn off cutting the ends of songs off, because they sort of ruin the song. This app is very handy otherwise, but the bugs are just so annoying.

Awesome, here are some things that needs to be improved.. Snes music is like a retro music on the go and I love it, also when I downloaded the Sega Channel Demo Cartridge 4 for my Sega Mega Drive, it crashes the app, plz fix for whatever it it making it crash. And I would like to add Neo Geo, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and MAME (arcade) music. 2019: So now the app crashes whenever there’s too much game music, is there a way to fix it?

I love this App!. This App has an amazing archive of Music to Download. On top of all that, I can play the music with the Device in a hibernation state. The emulation of the music is outstandingly spot on, earning this App, a solid 5 stars!! Download this App, it's definitely worth the 4 dollars of in app purchases

a perfect video game music app. I used to have these MP3’s on my iPod but ever since this app was released I have saved dozens of gigabytes in storage space by using the emulated sound files this app offers.

Don’t listen to the one star rates. I think the music is great, it is their mistake for thinking this was a emulator. But I think this could be better, some of the music doesn’t work and the app crashes for some people *mine does not* please fix that and thank you for making this app

Get this App over NES or PSX Music. The author originally wrote three apps that do the exact same thing. This app (SNES Music) is the only one that gets updated. So get this one, and avoid the author's other apps, NES Music and PSX Music. (FYI, SNES Music supports NES and PSX sound files anyway, along with other formats including ones the other two apps don't.)

Bug Report (UPDATED):. The bug in which Spirit Tracks music is cut off at certain points can only be fixed by the Yellow Arrow option being selected. However the music doesn't change afterwards, and I am afraid this may be for all Nintendo DS Games. (Usually occurs in songs going from 1-2 minutes in length, or short fanfares/jingles)

Good, but....... I love it, but I was that everything was unlocked because like a lot of the things that you like to listen to are locked and you have to pay money for them in I am a teen I do not have funds or credit card so you leave a teen who likes retro Mario games and punch out super sad.

Great app, but it’s missing something. I really love this app, but it bothers me that there’s no soundtrack for Megaman Battle Network 6, Pokémon Black and White, and Keroro RPG (this one’s optional). Even then, this is the best music player I’ve found, nothing can top this. But yeah, it’s missing these games.

Please upgrade. Dear developers, if you are reading this then I want to say that your app is very good. I used It every morning driving to work and it was the best. But even thought it hasn’t been updated since iOS 11, i still have it in hoping it gets updated soon enough. Please update and we will appreciate it greatly.

It’s cool but pricey. I’d say this was a great app but. Once you try a different system you must pay..the app Never tells you this until you download it so you go and take your time finding a game and download it then you try to play it then it tells you to pay sure you can buy it. But I didn’t now it’s there taunting me until I pay TLDR: if you don’t wanna pay you can’t use a lot of the songs

SNES Music app. The app is very very good (when it works) sometimes if I’m downloading music the app closes and won’t open again unless I uninstall and reinstall again, plus the restore app purchases. Lastly one game that doesn’t play very well is Animal forest on the n64, it plays the songs but stops after around 7 seconds, but plays again for a little bit for 9 seconds...

Good enough. Well, Nintendo won’t release my favorite musics, so this app wins by default. The layout and general functionality are barebones and honestly quite behind even the earliest apple mp3 interfaces, but it has pretty much every classic vidja gaems song that you could want. And at the very least, it’s all in alphabetical order.

Soppy but awesome. This app isn’t very polished and has a lot of weird lite quirks and eyesores, but at the same time I have to admit I thoroughly enjoy it and use it almost everyday. It’s worth dropping some money into in order or have access to additional consoles. I wish I could access a library of PC Engine soundtracks though.

Hard crashing. I’ve used the app for years, but recently it’s been crashing to home. I’ve deleted and reinstalled it several times, but after grabbing a few titles, the app crashes to him and will not restart. Not sure if it’s a cache issue or a bug.

I love this retro game music app. I use this app a lot just to find old music (the library is pretty extensive, mostly tje nes library). My only suggestion would be to add a Sega CD library if possible (since it was possible to add the Playstation music library, which is massive).

Gets the job done for VGM listening. I have used this app for years to listen to my favorite vgm chiptunes, and it is the best app of its type for iOS that I have used. The author was responsive to requests for technical assistance even though I paid for the system unlock years ago, which was also a nice surprise.

This app ROCKS. This app is wonderful on iOS 15. I can listen to all my favorite chip tunes on repeat. When downloading, just remember to only download 1 album at a time.

Not able to restore purchases. At first, I bought the soundtrack for three systems in two different apps. There used to be one for Sega genesis or nes, not entirely sure. Now there is only one app (the SNES version) which you can unlock all systems from. So I did purchase the full package AGAIN just so all the soundtrack for all systems can be accessed from one app. Right now I’m trying to restore my purchase and every time I do, it doesn’t work or the app crashes. Plz fix this app. I would love to give it 5 stars. I’ve been using it for over 5 years :(

Awesome app but have a PROBLEM. When you make download of a OST with the same name, but in a different systems this cause a trouble or a kind of incompatible subscription. And the system can’t find the song, and play the music without sound. FIX IT PLEASE!

I Love It. It’s nice having them downloaded onto your phone to listen to online, just wish it was more up to date bc a lot of my favorite musics are on GameCube and wii. It would make a huge difference and would pay for it😁. On an impulse bought it and it was soooo worth it.

Links to music files broken. I love this app, I have since before it was called Super NES music. Recently it appears that all the download links for the music files is broken I cannot download anything, I keep getting an error timed out message I’ve tried this on both of my iOS devices. Please fix this, I would hate to see this app fail it is my number one source for these classic chip tunes as I grew up playing these amazing games! Oh and if you get a chance add NEO GEO to the list too, sooooo many great games with killer sound tracks!

Broken. This is a super great app other than how it broke with the last update. Please release one of the older versions while you're working on fixing it up!

Love this app but one caveat!!!. Love the sounds and everything but one problem is that some of GBA music sounds horrible as if it has a problem rendering it. It sounds all chopped and screwed with a lot of noise attached to it

Deserves 5 Stars. There’s no where else I can find music like this, that I can carry with me.. this music takes me to a place that will always be special. I’ve been an avid gamer my whole life, since two years old. I absolutely love this app and I’m so happy it even exists.

AMAZING. This is an amazing app. The music sounds like it’s Coming straight out of the console, or tv. My only problem is that there is no GameCube soundtracks. Beside that, perfect app with a simple 6.00$ purchase for all the consoles of your childhood. I would recommend for gamers like me.

Tons of problems, but worth it if you love game music. The app hasn’t been updated in 5 years, you can’t create a playlist and the app randomly crashes. Great. This is a really great app, but there are some problems. First, the app crashes ever time that I listen to a lot of music. Second, I noticed that if you download two different version of a game from two different systems, then only one will work. The other one won't work at all. It’s pretty good, but..... First thing I like to address, you can’t give NES/GameBoy tracks names, they are all one file that gets picked apart for your listening pleasure. next, GameCube, Wii, and Sega Dreamcast with addition that the Genesis CD and 32x games are missing. adding on to that, tracks from missing consoles can be found, mostly in Mario Kart DS, the GameCube tracks are there.

Overall a great app, but Sonic CD music, please?. This is overall a great app, you can listen to video game music to get a retro and nostalgic feel. But I have a suggestion, could you add Sonic CD music from both the Japanese/European and American soundtracks? Please and thank you. Sincerely, Ben.

My new favorite app. This app is much better than I expected. In fact, it's amazing. If you love the old video game music this app is for you. Snes music is free but you want to unlock all the music going up to PS1 it's $3.99 if you want to unlock one console it's 0.99. Good deal, totally worth it.

Amazing App!. So I have been using this app for years. For only $4, you can unlock all the systems and listen to the amazing tunes of the past! The app works with iOS 11 as well which is fantastic.

Amazing. This app is great I use it to listen to some of my favorite tracks in Videogames however I some more console music could be sprinkled in to listen to.

It's good, but one little thing ruins it.. Whenever I download a game's music files, they're all out of order. This never happened on my old device, so maybe a newer device is the cause of the problem? If it gets fixed, I'll give this 5 stars.

Only game ost app I use. This is literally the only app I use to listen to game soundtracks and I like that the repeat feature makes it sound like it’s playing from the console and not a normal music app

Cool, but.... Okay, first off this is an awesome app. It’s definitely worth the $4 to unlock all the consoles, and the audio quality is unbelievable (I hook it up to a stereo system and get a baseline from a NES song), but the audio files for most non-NES games are all jumbled up. And also Megaman X4 and X5 are strangely absent.

Clean, fast and effective!. I have used this app for years now and am so happy it was made. I’d love to be involved and help expand to NES and N64 if possible. Not sure on the copyright implications though.

Needs an update for IOS 13.x. Good player but now I can’t add other music files outside the app. The option to Copy to SnesMusic does not work. Also the ability to get the game music cover from in the app is broken. It depends on Google images which removed the option to download images directly
