Liquid Retained Ratio. Coffee mode LRR. Why it cannot be set to zero? I think it could be set to zero.

Interesting but Flawed Info. This appeared to be a very interesting app. Once I downloaded it I found it only had water as a liquid to monitor. When I looked into other liquids (e.g. Coffee) I found them to be much more expensive than "free". Including coffee, for example, was $30! It's not like I was cheated (I downloaded a free app after all) but they could have mentioned the prices of the various liquids/drinks in their ad.

Innovative. Makes life with a hand-held refractometer that much more... well, portable. No more netbook and accessories. In my opinion this software is easier to use than what is on my netbook, mostly because the interface with MoJoToGo is so intuitive. So easy to control. If you have a refractometer, there is no reason you shouldn't have this. Can't wait to have an iPad with this app loaded on it set up on my bar! The ability to send recipes/information to backup/a friend/colleague via email from inside the app is a huge plus. I expect my refractometer to be getting much more use. Intuitive, approachable, beautiful.. What a wonderful tool! I am not computer savvy or a technician and have had the software for sometime on our computers but have not used it much. It's like a hammer that is just out of reach. I'm plenty happy hammering nails with rocks in hand instead of walking over to pick up a hammer. This app puts the hammer right in my hands. Gracias.

Just a sales tool. This app does very little beyond allowing you to buy plug-ins that cost significant money.

A Useful Tweak. One way in which VST could improve the app for some, while allowing a greater use, and being an industry leader once again, would be to allow for a hundredth place in the dosing. There are more scientific scales like the OHAUS SCOUT or the U.S. SOLID 5000g/0.01g being seen in the industry as coffee is increasingly looked to as a science. With doses as small as 12g in pour overs and espresso, the difference of a tenth of a gram is nearly a percent of the mass. The difference between tenths of a gram in an extraction yield percentage reading is also considerable at around a quarter of a percent. Of course most people brewing coffee are not currently using a scale with readings to the hundredth of a gram, but if the app allowed for such, there would almost certainly be an eventual increase in the amount of people who found it a useful tweak. After all, there are more brewers now who are aiming for previously unattainable levels of accuracy in their brewing and charting methods.

the proof is in the app!. I've used this app for over a year and it's solid - worth the $30 for the coffee mode - for any industry professional! Support from VST is quick and very helpful.

Works great, but. UPDATED BELOW: The app has a slick interface and works great. I didn't even mind the charge for the module since I paid over $300+ for a refractometer. What irks me is having to shell out another $30 for to use it with my iPhone. The app is really just an iPhone app. While it will run on the iPad, it will not rotate. If I had know that fact I would have purchased the module for my iPhone instead. It will not allow one purchase to run on both machines... so I will be out $60 bucks if I want it on my iPhone. If it wasn't for that fact I would have given it five stars. UPDATE: It just appears that you have to purchase the module twice. If you go ahead and select purchase, the app store states that you already purchased the module (app store logic flaw). Works great and fun to use.

a very useful app . . .. and continually upgraded to be as accurate AND easy to use as possible. Every specialty coffee shop/roaster should be on the same page as VST.

Worthless: description is false. This app only includes 'water mode'. If you want any of the other 'modes' (including coffee mode), you'll need to pony up another $30.00.

Just plain broken. Happy to pay money for something that works. Unfortunately this app for coffee extraction doesn’t. The back end calculation is simply off. My TDS is 1.15, my dose is 37.5 and my end brew weight is 514. Using a calculator you arrive at about 15.75% extraction, but the “tool” says 16.4%. This will make you a worse brewer. Also, you’re forced to set a LRR, instead of having this being a deliverable. You can’t adjust the water weight and the end beverage weight independently. These numbers are locked. Another flaw.

Oh please kind sir,. you have put so much in to this, could you find the heart to UPDAT? Now crashing on entry with iOS 15 on iPhone 13. 3 stars because I still have hope!😁

MoJoToGo. MoJoToGo is a great app! I have been using it in its previous and its new format. It helps me make sure that, once my coffee &/or espresso are dialed in, I can reliably reproduce them! The price, now under the ownership of the developer, is a tremendous bargain. Its highly portable and shareable. With a pocket scale, refractometer & iPhone or iTouch, you can assess and share coffee and expresso anywhere!

a must-have. A wonderful tool to keep track of extraction variables across varying different brew methods. It's intuitively easy to use and produces consistency in an environment where consistency is invaluable. Can't recommend highly enough for any individiual or cafe serious about brewing and serving excellent coffee.

No legacy support for previous coffee mode purchasers.... I bought this app when it first debuted. I went to install on a Six+ and guess what, I need to buy it again? I think naught.

Very cool.. For coffee pros, this is awesome. This is the shell of the app: the good stuff is all through in-app purchase. Once you get the $30 coffee module, you'll have a really cool diagnostic program for your drip coffee setup, another $30 gets you the espresso component. The biggest strength of this: it works off one refractometer, use the native mode and one refractometer will do both drip coffee and espresso. No need to have 2 refractometers! For $60, and the price of a refractometer, this is a very powerful, and in my eyes, necessary tool for cafes, roasters, etc.
