Scam-ware, spam-ware. Jack'd has a new look, although it’s a clone of the owner's other app, Scruff, only in red. Unlike Scruff, the spam is out of control. Lol, as I am writing this, I received another notification from Jack'd that a new message was sent to me.... this message, like perhaps 10 others in the last 10 days contains a link to a sex procurement site. The Jack'd spam reporting feature thanks me for my submission but the spammers don’t seem to be banned; today's message was from an account I had reported before. Yes, I know I can block them, but I have stopped doing that so I have proof that Jack'd doesn’t care about spammers and scammers. Jack'd doesn’t care that people are being sent links to sex procurement sites. Perhaps that’s the real purpose of this app?

My account was suspended for blocking weirdos. My account was suspended for blocking weirdos who send me unwanted sexual xxx content and offering me drugs and what do I get for being a paying customer my account gets suspended but the folks who offer me drugs and try to sexually exploit me and verbally attack me are just fine Jack'd is only fair for people who want sex, drug addicts and stalkers Jack'd only protects folks who make multiple profiles to stalk folks who previously rejected them it's not fair If I block someone they should not be able to still see me from that same profile no means no

Pointless app. After using this app for maybe a month or two, I found that it’s quite useless. There’s no real way to filter out guys that you’re not interested in, and majority of the guys you may message are only trying to get sex from randoms or they just simply don’t reply. A lot of features within this app that should be quite basic they want to charge you for it... like yeah right... who in their RIGHT mind would pay to use any kind of feature of a dating/hookup service..? You can only hide/block so many people or customize certain settings within a limit before you would have to pay to do any further. I don’t necessarily recommend this app but I still don’t knock down those that are okay with it. Facebook, and other know social networks can be used for this type of stuff as well and they’re free completely! Additionally, there should be a requirement for all users to have profile photos of themselves! I really disliked it when blank profiles messaged me, and I have no clue who is messaging me because they’re fully hiding themselves. Being discreet/DL is perfectly fine, but hiding your identity and messaging people without letting them see who you are will not get you anywhere; that can be dangerous as well.

The new Jack’d is Extremely restrictive. The new Jack’d is so restrictive there’s very limited things you get to have control over. You have to pay for Jack’d pro to have the most basic of controls... you have to be visible online to use the app or respond to messages. They have algorithms that filter your pictures that will say includes nudity even if there’s isn’t any... and you can’t do anything about it if the bots choose not to approve your picture. You aren’t even allowed to upload a shirtless pic if you have hair on your stomach because it’s considered pubic area... there’s more freedom in Instagram an app intended for all ages than there is on this one... you also can’t screenshot pictures at all, so if someone sends you a picture message if you screenshot it will show up blacked out. It’s just way too much policing going on to actually enjoy the app and that wasn’t the case 2-3 years ago. It was a much better app back then.

This UI is a joke, the users are insane. Wanted to give this app one more shot so re-downloaded after experiencing similar frustrations as others and now I’m done for good. Just froze three times and crashed twice after downloading it. Instantly. I’m really shocked. I would never in a million years pay for a pro version of an app when your dev team can’t even get it to open without freezing. I wouldn’t have been able to sign up for a pro membership even if I wanted to because it literally crashed the moment I logged in after re-downloading. This is a sad joke. You just lost another potential customer. I’m done with this app and this company for good. Look at some of the unhinged reviews for this trash app

Options ??. Where are the chat filters ? The swipe filters ? At this point, Grindr outshines you guys by milestones. I’m tired of scrolling through the same accounts, filled with the same 40 through 60 year old creeps. You need to add filters; that includes race, age, positions, what they are looking for, etc. Also, the limitation on blocked accounts is ridiculous. I do not want these creeps constantly messaging me, but I cant block them because I’m “at my limit”. If you would fix these two things, your app would be soaring. The only reason people prefer it over Grindr is because it’s a predominantly black users.

Fire whoever made disappearing photos!. Okay, this app is bad, just know that. However, for ppl of color, what other options are there? And I’m not getting anywhere near Grindr *vomit*. The people on here are sassy, rude, annoying, and have no morals or decency. If you’re looking for a meaningless hookup with a black person, use this app. But what I hate about this app is that they made it impossible to screenshot anything and they gave ppl the power to send photos that disappear right after you open them. I mean, forming a connection is already difficult. People hide their faces, bodies, names, etc. Instead of making it easier to get to know someone, they’ve made it easier to play tricks and be even more shallow. Now, I can’t even remember which blank profile I’m talking to because the photo LITERALLY DISAPPEARS.

A feature that needs to be stopped. I usually never have any significant issue with this app until I recently realized there’s a limit on the amount of users we can block. To think a company who prides themselves on being an inclusive app would force their users to pick & choose which previously blocked users they have to unblock to block someone new is ludicrous. That is counterproductive of the feature which serves to restrict access to those we deem should not be in contact with us. That is not only a catalyst for future contact from these people but can also trigger feelings of feeling unsafe & being harassed. Please consider why this feature exists and why it’s not a wise decision to keep it active.

ETHNICITY FILTER. Why can some of my friends who have Jack’d , have the newest iPhone and the most current update use the ethnicity filter but I can’t ? I have the new iPhone and updated Jack’d app but can not filter my ethnicity in the search bar . This should be available for everyone not just some , if they fixed this and made it available for Everyone they would get a better rate. Wanting a specific specific weight doesn’t make you fat phobic or a specific height but so as you love a certain race youre called a “racist which is why they removed the ethnicity in the first place . Allow everyone to be able to have a type again and like what they like. ADD BACK THE ETHNICITY FILTER AND ILL CONTINUE PAYING SUBSCRIPTION !!!

Technical problems with non available solution. Being disappointed after being told by a friend to get the app to meet with friends only for me to get no response which is impossible after I texted people I found interesting through their page but got no notifications from anyone neither did Jack’d representative attend to my issue although I deleted my account and in which I wanted a new one after a month of trying I have being unable to do so.. I’m so disappointed by Jack’d developers so therefore I see no reason giving this app a rank at all

Disappointed. I was excited to rejoin the app after the upgrades but I couldn’t remember my email or password and created a new account. Then found my old info and signed in. Afterward I was unable to sign in to remove the new account. Submitted a request with a screen shot of the account I wanted removed. Then you removed both accounts. If you weren’t able to remove one without the other communication would’ve been great and I just would’ve kept it as is. I’ve deleted the app. Don’t want to go through setting up again and unhappy with customer supports inability to solve my issue satisfactorily.

Much Better. It’s much better than before but with way too many restrictions like you can only sent two picture before having to pay for extra and you can’t open or share your album at all now without having to pay first and you’re not allowed to delete a specific portion of your message or pictures without having to pay first and the app always falsely shows several number of messages unread when you clearly have read all messages and if there are unread messages it won’t allow you to view them. Also the app doesn’t allow you to filter by age, ethnicity, location, type etc.

Options. Would love to see a U=U option instead of positive undetectable...we see "positive" and are immediately turned off...at least U=U will educate and attract more people...global profiles tend to recycle and show the same people all the time...maybe allow a distance limit to the global feature, or select by country? I like that you have to upgrade to block people but adding favorites should be free but maybe have a daily limit?

Nothing is free anymore. So now you have to pay to look at conversations that are barely 24hrs old?!? 😂😂I’ve used this app on and off for years now and think it’s finally time to give it up. Apparently they aren’t getting much revenue with the pro services so I guess the thinking is if we get rid some of the basic functionality of the app they’ll eventually purchase the pro account. I can promise you no matter how basic you make the free account I will NEVER pay for a pro account on this app or any others like it!!

TRY AGAIN, LUCID DREAMS, Y'ALL ALMOST GOT IT!🚮🚮🚮. So, I Like SOME of the update but hate MOST of it; Especially the fact that you now have to pay to do simple stuff like blocking offensive, harassing users. Yeah, they say "report" them but that never does anything and it's much easier and user-friendly to just block and keep it moving. Y'all must be going broke or something?? Rona hit y'all hard too!? Sheesh! Then they have the audacity to limit the amount of photos one can view/reveal and for whatever reason, I can no longer send photos and videos, I have to upload them to my private album just to share them..why? To coerce one into subscribing. Crazy thing is, I would rather subscribe to the older versions. Happy jacking homos!

Suspended account not even 24 hours. I haven’t used Jack’d in a while because I wanted to take a break and I wasn’t finding anyone to match with so I ended up deleting my account. I tried creating an account on my phone almost a year later and it said my account was suspended but I swore I deleted my profile so I ended up creating a new profile on my iPad. Now from there I only talked to a few people because I just created my account and before you know It my account is suspended and I have no clue why. I don’t care about making another account because I never get matches or people who want what I want but its the fact I didn’t do anything wrong and I got suspended.

Much Better!!!. Bring back the read receipts and it’ll be on of the best out there. UPDATE I had given it five stars. However, after using it- I changed my mind. That first page with a bunch of random stuff needs to go. The match section is a mess. If you want to block people -after a certain amount, you have to pay. If you want to unlock your pictures for someone -after you’ve unlocked for a certain amount, you have to pay. Oh.. and I swear I saw an add.

Safety concern. This app is great functionality wise and has some decent features. However, the new Disappearing Picture feature is the worst decision in dating/ hookup app history. People already barely have a clear photo posted or even a decent face picture but now you’ve given people an easier way to fake an identity. The fact you can’t block without paying is just as bad. Now you can’t even avoid someone if needed. (An ex, stalker, bullying, etc). The certified photo feature is great tho but should be a requirement to have at least 1 certified selfie picture for your profile.

Rest In Peace Jack’d. App is charging for everything. The free version of the app is unusable. Even if you have a stalker, harasser or abuser, you can’t block unless you pay. Capitalism > Safety. The developers must be broke and are greedy. This app used to be great but it has sucked and went down hill since all the updates and changes within a year or so ago. Terrible. If you want people to pay for membership, make the price affordable. $5 > $10 a month. Decrease the prices. Now the developers are going to respond with some wack ineffective, counterproductive excuse defending their greedy and expensive prices.

Jack’d app suspended for nothing. This app I use to love but from nowhere u get suspended and when filling out a ticket they don’t ever respond if they do it the same thing as before and then they close out the ticket. My account got suspended out of nowhere after having it for a years with no problems. I’ve paid being a Jack’d pro member and this is the thanks I get. I honestly miss the old support team these people now that on here in the support team seems to be very judgmental. I kinda feel it should be a law suit. But how can this be a gay friendly app when u get in trouble for being urself respectfully it’s a shame man I tell u unacceptable Jack’d team. I’ve be a long time customer

The app isn’t terrible 😅. I used to love using this app and I still somewhat do. The problem with the app is the removal of features that used to be free and the change of look. The profiles seem smaller and the simplicity of the app (UI) has gone downhill because of you trying to make it look new and fresh. I understand that a company has to make money but I believe if you’re gonna have us pay then we should be getting something new and not something that was originally free. I miss being able to see who I last viewed as well as being able to see who viewed my profile, I miss having my favorites displayed in a Simpler way, and I also miss the accuracy of the location sharing. I don’t want to completely criticize so I will say that making sure people can’t screenshot your photos is a helpful addition to the app and so is the ability to send timed photos. I hope that the company takes these things into consideration with the next update and gives us the option on how we want our user interface to look. If I had to pay for something I would pay for changing my UI, boosting a profile, or even staying ad free.

Stop capping blocked accounts. Even for the free version, there should be no limit on the amount of people one can block. There are too many creeps, fetishizers, & pestering ppl you might not be into that hit the average user up after a certain amount of time on the app...constantly. I shouldn’t have to pay extra just to feel safer on the app, and I shouldn’t have to anxiously go through and unblock past accounts (which should/could all possibly be blocked for valid reasons) for basic peace of mind on the app if/when someone that needs to be blocked comes around.

No security! Catfish do not get removed!. People can freely steal your images and continuously make multiple accounts impersonating you without being reprimanded. Takes multiple days to get resolved by jackd support and they do nothing about it but warn the person. Then creep freely goes right back to catfishing people using your images. Jackd Requires you take multiple images of yourself holding up a number to prolong the process and they don’t even have a system in place to prevent the impersonator from creating multiple accounts back to back nor respond to emails other than robotic redundant response without actually solving the case. Imagine some pervert smearing your identity through the mud for it to take an entire week for Jackd to TEMPORARILY remove your images off their profile and for catfish to easily create 5-6 accounts within a month. Horrible experience and extremely stressful.

Not safe, Full of criminal activity and gangs. Why does Jack’d allow a person to have multiple profiles at one time?? I know of 12 men who each have at least 5-6 profiles, each one with altered faces, descriptions and when you talk to them they pretend to be other people. These men are dangerous and are targeting individuals and performing identity theft crimes with unknowing targets they meet on Jack’d. They work in teams, are vey good with technology and are able to hack into your home network within minutes. There is always a person outside usually in a car with a small portable computer. The person inside keeps the victim occupied, they even have sex. Once all of the information is gathered or the network has been hacked they send a signal, usually one car horn, as a text would be too obvious. The encounter ends and the victim has no idea. But it all starts and is organized on Jack’d. If something seems too good to be true, it ain’t true! Don’t let anyone use your Wi-Fi, hide your keys, don’t pay for anyones uber or Lyft, if they commit a crime somewhere else they can tie it back to you, as the Uber ride was scheduled from the crime scene back to your location. Jack’d knows about these issues but does nothing. Be smart, protect yourselves and share. Don’t be afraid to share if you see something wrong.

Multiple accounts for massage guy. I don’t like the app anymore you have a guy that constantly makes different profiles asking you if want a massage. No matter how many times you block him he makes a new profile no matter what he back in your inbox about a massage with a happy ending. I can truly say I’ve blocked him reported him I’ve a good 50 to 60 times. You can even take your picture down he will still hit you up. Paying for the app is a waste the app mostly has guys that want to be a sugar baby or looking for money, or want you to get their services. I’m over this app I’ll stick with Grindr

I don’t have a subscription. I was going to get a subscription but changed my mind never put my information in and took a break now returning Jack is insisting a payment for something I’ve never received nor want there is nothing in my Apple account stating I have a subscription nor gives me the option to clear this error maybe this might get their attention!!!!!!!! Sorry I need to apologize. It’s not Jack it’s Apple all of a sudden refusing me to open up apps until I put a card on file I suppose

Update. I’m m giving a new review to this app. I know that this app is now owned by the same company than owns Scruff. I expected that all the issues would get resolved because Scruff is such a good app. I didn’t expect it to look exactly like Scruff but hey, at least the bugs will get worked out. The only thing I would say is to remember that this is not necessarily the same audience as scruff and I would treat it as such. Anyway so far so good but I would like to see a slightly different interface and features than Scruff. Cheers!

VIRTUAL BUTTONS ARE ANNOYING. recording self videos by holding on to a circle on the screen that’s supposed to act as the record button is annoying asl. Often times you press and hold the “button” to find that you’re not even really recording. it’s frustrating and dumb. Snapchat is dumb also for doing the same. smartphones are big and slippery enough, holding onto a circle on the screen just to record is an inconvenience, just give an option instead of trying to be so overly innovative, u mess up one thing trying to be so “efficient” in another

Suspending Profiles Without Warning. They suspend accounts without warning. Then tell you to submit a ticket. Afterwards, they correspond with you in emails and ask you a thousand questions about your account, including your phones IP address and your Phones information (which I think is fishy). After they are given said information. They pretend to not know why your account was suspended and claim you need more info about your account, which to me is an unwillingness to reinstate your account. To anyone who decides to go on Jackd, don’t. They are extremely bias. They suspend accounts, yet have a policy about harassment, and nude photos, posted publicly on your page. I’ve posted a shirtless picture on my page and had it taken down. How is that nudity. Yet, there are hundreds of accounts with nudity on their page and shirtless pics still up. I’ve reported many profiles for harassing me, yet they never did anything about it. They also have a major spamming issue with some guy who literally spams you asking for massages and wanting money. No matter if you block them, the person will contact you from hundreds of different accounts. Which leads me to believe that the site is in on it. Please don’t go on Jack’d or just delete your account. Not worth the hassle or headache. I will also be reaching out to other friends to leave a negative one star review as well. I didn’t deserve to have my account suspended.

Great app, poor users. This is actually a really great app - way more stable and feature rich than Grindr could ever be. I think from a functional perspective, people sleep on this very well built app. The reason it got four and not five stars are the users. Here in Chicago, it’s all closeted people in the community, drug addicts, and actual people looking to exchange themselves for money. I’ve never actually met anyone off Jack’d, whereas I have on it’s competition. I have faith this will get better over time.

Profile Discrimination and continuous unexplained suspensions. I’ve had to make a couple different profiles within two days because they keep getting suspended for unexplained reasons, they have now blocked my device and I can’t create a profile at all and still no response from the tickets to clarify what exactly is getting me suspended. It seems to be a problem with profile discrimination, I’m not the only person who had had this issue. “The system” just seems to be really selective about who they bother with suspensions and what not. The app is no longer user friendly and you have to walk on constant eggshells with your profile and messages. you can’t even use abbreviations like FWB( friends with benefits) it’s crazy. I’m all for app security and keeping a safe environment but the app and app owner has become bias creating an app that makes people feel uncomfortable and unable to express themselves even when it’s not inappropriate.

Safety concern. I am not understand why the block feature has restrictions...and safety comes at a cost that is called “an upgrade...?” People can easily make multiple profiles and harass you if they choose...even stalk you and put your life in serious danger...and I’m at risk because I refuse to pay for an upgrade to have an even more LIMITED block feature that will expire once I reach my limit. I understand the need to make a profit...and I’ve read your responses to respecting the safety and privacy of others in regards to screenshots and etc...but how is limiting how many people you can block even anywhere near safe? I need answers...and a valid explanation to this. I can care less for Grindr...but at least I know I can block as many people as I’d like...especially when safety is a concern.

New interface new issues. Several issues/concerns to point for now: 1) It’s showing I have messages unread though all messages have clearly been read (notice has been saying 1 message unread since the new interface update) 2) Under the binoculars the 3 tabs Distance, Date and Last Online...Distance shows -> Last Online, Date shows -> Distance and Last Online shows -> Distance and What’s the point of Date if you have the option to see Last Online? 3) Why do users have to go “online” to read messages or even update your own profile? 4) Block feature doesn’t work...I’d clearly block users for various reasons (clear up people closest near me..etc) but once I log back on..within hours or next day, I’d see the same user that was previously blocked.

Not the best but definitely my favorite. There really isn’t much to dislike about the app. You get half of grindr’s premium features for free and the community is more accepting of blpoc than the other 🏳️‍🌈 apps. As an asexual man i appreciate that there’s a no sex option and have found plenty of friends and partners off that feature alone. My ONLY critique would be to make an Asexual button so we can navigate finding each other on the app easier. Orrrrr just make an asexual dating app all together since there’s clearly a demand for one and it’s non existent on the internet 😒

New app....more issues. So I like the new interface of the app but there are too many bugs. And I feel that they are trying to make people buy into the pro. You can’t open private pics for someone because it states that you are not a pro member and the limit of recent sent pics are also locked under “pro”!

FRESH APP. Love the new update. It is VERY similar to how Scruff is setup but I’m not complaining. I like it wayyyy more than before. The old version would’ve gotten a 2 maybe 3 star rating. But with this update it’s got 5 star potential in my opinion. It’s a 4 and not a 5 because even though it looks better it takes some getting used to. 1) I am still not entirely sure how to navigate the app with the update. 2) when using the Match feature (unless I just haven’t seen a button for it) you can’t view a persons profile to send a message. You can only swipe their profile left, down, or right. 3) The message read receipts are gone. Idk about other users but I liked that. Would like to have that one come back. Other than those things so far this new update has done A TON of cleaning up and fixing the app.

Systematic racism on Jackd. You guys manage to suspend profiles after two days of making an account on top of that I did not violate any terms or guidelines yet you still manage to find a way to be systemically racist and suspend my account why did I post anything offensive? did I say anything offensive? which I know I didn’t! You guys will really find a way to racially profile someone this is jackd not a4a that’s where the other crowd is.. this crowd is for people with color. Jackd and Grindr need to stop being systemically racist! That’s all you guys are showing Facebook including it’s just sad how social media is going out because Trump isn’t a president lol

Account Was Suspended w/o NOTICE. So this morning around 4am while chatting with guys my account was SUSPENDED. Keep in mind I was paying for “Jack’d Pro”. So me not grasping why I was unexpectedly suspended without reasoning the app seems to stop working ( loading ). So I instantly sent an email to support. So this mornings around 7:30am I check my email and received a late notification from Jack’d advising me my account was suspended for “Spam”. After looking at the guidelines for spam which is “ Sending messages or creating accounts for the purpose of driving members to a business or external site isn’t allowed.” I immediately came to the conclusion that I was suspended because a distasteful member reported me for no reason because I’ve never promoted any business which I don’t even own or partake in. So I’m very upset because again Jack’d failed to notify me or even me a warning before suspending my PAID account.

Video quality still bad. No audio now.. I’ve already contacted “support.” Can you guys fixed the video quality when sending videos? These last two updates have made the video quality laggy and pixelated. It was really clear before.. Also, you can’t even use certain emojis such as “🌹” for your name for whatever reason.

Two steps fwd one step back. The app seems to have made significant changes, while mimicking the layout of certain competitors. However, though, you’ve made the app a complete 180 from the half decade old outdated catastrophe it’s been, you now have chosen to take measures for opening people up to uncomfortable and potentially stalker like situations by removing the block feature. We shouldn’t have to report a profile just to do something we can do ourselves with the click of a little button. If I’d known this I would’ve kept the old version and been quite pleased. This is a major safety and privacy concern. I’m sure by now you all have seen the Netflix show YOU... Lets make this right before you’re the cause of something terrible happening.

Updated jack’d is finally a bit better. Just a update Jack’d is way better than before still a few small bugs here and there but one major feature I didn’t like that they’ve messed with is the blocking feature now you have to pay for pro to block people as many as enough pedophiles and people you may not like or even ex’s on there really jacks cmon gotta do better than that. I’ve been a jackd user for years now and no many times how much I restart my phone (iphone8 plus) or update the app it still tends to crash wish the developer can figure out the problem grindr works better for me 🤷‍♂️

Old version/New Version. There is a serious issue going on with the new version of the app. Because, half of the users are not updating the new app, it’s causing an altercation in communicating, and viewing of profile pictures if you haven’t updated your app. The app should either force ALL users to update the app once you log on, so that we are all on the same page, or be able to communicate with this e that haven’t upgraded in terms of picture sharing and viewing up public or private photos. As most users are still using the old version, and not being able to communicate well with those that have upgraded it doesn’t make sense.

Won’t allow me to set up a new profile page. I’ve recently deleted an old page and it’s content from the app. When I tried to go back in and to reestablish a new page I got an error message saying that my device has created profiles in the past and that I need to sign into one of those. When I try to use my only known email addresses to do so the system said that there was no accounts found match in the email addresses. I have sent numerous request tickets to Jack’d’s help team and they have gone unanswered. This app was awesome when it first started but over the years it is gotten to be a cesspool and horrible!

Hate The Interface. I’ve been a User of Jackd for a couple of years now. I understand as years how by things have to be changed and updated but my God! Trying to FORCE users to buy Pro just to have basic features like Blocking multiple people or browsing incognito is wild. The filters aren’t really of much service and the stipulations on the type of pictures you could upload is over the top now. I upload a beach picture a BEACH picture and it keeps getting denied for showing nudity when I literally have on shorts and a tank top. The dudes on here are also a different type of weird but that’s not Jack’d fault. It used to be more Lax back in the day but tbh the app has gone downhill since 2014.

Separation. Not sure what exactly is going on with Perry Street Applications and Development but apparently now depending on which application is used it is separated by Race and some other Filtering criteria. Service has not been great as not making connections as years prior which leads me to believe whatever was done or changed caused drastic changes in being able to obtain results to essentially get nothing but aggravation from the clunky disjointed functions to the constant confusion in instructions. To make matters worse the rhetoric, political anxt, and hateful comments being projected makes me want to give up as does not seem to be a safe space for like minded people to meet and develop friendships and relationships. Please either fix the issues or at least give an explanation on what has happened.

Best App Ever. Love the features as a paid member and the link to a community that look like me and so many men who I can find a missing experince from my history dating apps. BLM Connection and space to change the image of what so often is not part other apps it really is a great place to meet relatable men and I found each actual encounter to be more then just a hook up but reaffirming what is and has been true but left out of the conversation. Thank you for providing me with real authentic men of color that are geniune. Leading by example

The WORST yet!. So, the developers decide to change the layout, add some features, but then restrict everything unless you pay $10 for a month, $22 for 3 months, or $58 for a year. You can’t unlock your private photos anymore, you can’t see all of other’s private photos, you can’t see the list of who’s viewed your profile, and you can’t block unlimited people unless you pay for this garbage. What an absolute rip off. I’ll never pay for this app and I barely use it anymore because of these ridiculous restrictions. Shame on whoever thought this was a good idea. It’s just money grubbing at its best right here. Pathetic.

Pointless app. If they want to put someone who has their own business or masseur. Jackd doesn't care and. The jackd will put your account suspend with the device ID number AND YOU WILL NOT ABLE T NEW CREATE ACCOUNT!!!! FYI Someone who wants to put profile who have anyone own business or any in general personal and business on the profile. They make jealous and report. They did not read their profiles. Jackd have no judge's and go-ahead suspend without letting them an account. I know that jackd has to feel black hearts and don't care about other accounts. P.S. Someone try report abuse or whatever hearing people betray to deaf. they like put neagtive deaf or business. No one reason to threaeten or foul laugage to customer. I will not accept that. Jackd support does not care people and just ahead disabled thier mobile id supsend. Most the black hearing are very nasty and threaten to deaf. they did not respectful people. please watch out your back from hearing people.

App Feedback. I’ve been suggesting to Jack gay dating app customer support to add a video feature where app users can multiple 45 second selfie videos to profile so other app users can view I’ve been making this request for several years. I’ve emailed customer service about this feature. It is 2023 and this app has not made any resent updated features. The last new feature that was added to this app was video chat and nobody even uses that feature from what I’ve experience no one has been using that feature.

Awesome social app. Compared to grindr I enjoy the multi-pic profiles and endless loading, local and international social connectivity, and the match finder features. There's less traffic than grindr however but I hope in time this grows in popularity.

Some gr8 features, spread the word to your mates. Love how u can view who is around in other areas - planning a trip to another region, click on the radar and go any place in the world. In box is a bit of a pain. Have to click on the blue arrow (lower right) to type next message - why not tap on last message?

Update notes not good enough. Why can’t you be bothered telling us about the updates? Something so ambiguous as ‘bug fixes’ or ‘general performance improvements’ isn’t good enough. We’re not idiots - please don’t treat us like that. I’m not wasting data, downloading what you’ve done, unless you can be clear on what changes you’ve made. You don’t have to give every detail, just what areas you’ve worked on.

Could be a great app but.... Jack’d has the makings of a fantastic app, it has far to many ads, and the tinder feature which could be the best bit of the app runs out of swipes way to quick and will keep showing guys you’ve already seen. If they got rid of the bugs, lost half the ads, and at least let you have 30 fresh guys in the swipe thing per day this would be the best gay app on the internet. But until they do there’s no way I’m paying for a premium membership, and looking at the ratings the developers are killing their app. Please figure out how to deal with these issues you’re seriously onto a good thing if you do.

Best social app.. Jack'd is seriously the best social app for gay and bi men! Great features with private pics, search filters and all the usual things you find on other apps. But the best part is the match finder feature where you can browse all the men in your city and click whether you're interested or not. If you're both interested then you'll get a message to notify you both! It's a really great way to start a conversation. In addition to that, you can view everyone's stats on what age group, ethnicity or type of guy they're interested in. The only negative about Jack'd is how often it freezes and drops out of connection. Otherwise I would give it the full 5 stars!

Utterly pathetic. Was one a gazillion times better than grindr, now it's the worst app on my phone. Constantly freezing and crashing my entire phone (iPhone7). Had and old version of the app on my old 5s which still worked, and now they've turned off support for the older versions that still actually worked and vastly out performed the current version. Brilliant work, Jack'd. You ought to be used as a management case study on how to ruin a business.

Bad customer service. My account was wrongfully blocked a couple of months ago and I wrote to them to have it fixed. They sent back an automated Email saying they have past it onto the tech team and they don't know how long it will take for it to be fixed. One and a half month went by and my account was still blocked and I heard nothing from them, so I sent them another email to chase it up, and guess what? I got replied with an exactly same email as last time. First of all it was not nice to wrongfully block an innocent user, and it's even worse when I had to wait one and a half month for them to "fix" it. No customer service or support from this app at all, I will not consider upgrading to a fee-paying user giving this terrible experience.

Good, but could be better.. A pretty solid app. Very stable, with some good features available. Has a high population of Asians, so if you like Asian guys this is the right app. Would have been better if it has more search options, such as searching for those who are interested in a particular ethnicity, or searching by keywords in the user's profile.

Zzzzzzzz!. Update from last review: it now just doesn't work at all. Every profile picture is black. What an app! Jackd now hopeless. A person near me creates dozens of fake profiles every few weeks. I emailed all this info to jackd - in detail - and never heard back. Nor did they delete these clearly fake profiles. Also, every time I browse the site, I then get fake messages from automated bots, you only have to reply a few times to work that out. Has the jackd team left the building? Are they all asleep on the job?

Hooray!!!. Finally an app that functions better than GRINDR & has less bugs and less dramas and costs less for full access... Just needs more publicity and advertising and sharing :)

Latest fixes. Latest update fixes lots of stability issues. Still got great things like multiple photos, lots profile options, members don't disappear after 1 hour like the other app (ie grinder lol). Reliable messaging.

No diversity amongst users. User base is small and of one dominant ethnicity.

Now working great, again. Thanks to Gage for all the hard work to fix the cloud problem that crashed the app so soon after the launch of the update. Jack'd snow working better and faster than ever! Great app!

Gaysian_gaymer91. Love this app. It's the best app out of all the gay chat apps that I have used thus far. Been able to meet quite a few guys through this app and it has greatly expanded my gay social network :). Definitely recommended

Good app can be better. Occasionally crashed, the distance measure was not accurate sometimes but I guess it has not much to do with the app itself? As for the filter, it can be improved, such as the age, weight, height and others. Thanks great app anyway!

I've given up. Jack'd was using 43g of memory on my phone! How is this possible! Constantly crashing and freezing, messages not sending, so many problems. The features were good (filters were excellent, better than all of the other apps) but now you have to pay to see who's looked at your profile. They've not addressed any of the faults that everyone has mentioned, so I've had to delete it. Perhaps I'll try it again in the future in the hope it will be a functional app.

Better then others. In my opinion this is far less "trashy" compared to other similar apps. Also you can filter out what you don't want so it is better for everyone. I find the people on it are more friendlier as a result. Plus for a one time small donation you get all the features, no ongoing usage fees like grindr xtra or skout. Highly recommend.

Lush. Yeah, impressive up market appearance. Lush feel and fairly intuitive features. Lot of thought was put into Jack'd and it shows. Grindr is irritating but has more an instant in the moment feel. This is more like cruising on a web site than instant messaging contact. The psyche here though feels more respectful of the buyer and seller, if you catch my drift :-)

Subscription payed for but not delivered. If i could give negative stars i would. This app has progressively gone from bad to worse. Now it’s just a thief. My last subscription auto renewed, I was billed and my credit card charged but the app downgraded my account and wont reinstate my pro service. Have logged out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled, as well as contacted the support team multiple times over the course of the last week. Im yet to hear back from support and still on a standard account. I will be deleting this hopeless app as soon as i get my money back or this subscription cycle is ended.

Chuck-full of bugs, not worth it; getting suspended for stupid reasons. One of the worst dating apps. It’s super buggy. My account has been suspended twice for a stupid reason that I am less than 18 when I am already 35 years old 🙄. Can’t resume my chats. I wouldn’t download this app, you are better off with tinder, hinge or even bumble.

Still absolutely terrible. Jack'd has always worked terribly for me, only opening successfully once after a hard reset and in following attempts freezing my phone for over a minute before crashing. I was hoping that after the from-scratch update it would finally work properly. No such luck: I now can't even open the app. The title page freezes my phone for over thirty seconds and then the app crashes.

Too many fake accounts and advertisements. There are a lot of fake accounts inviting you to go to another website. These account users are usually geographically very far away. Another problem is DOUBLE advertisement. When an ad pops up, you need to wait for 15 seconds to get rid of it. Then the second ad will pop up and u will need to wait for another 15 seconds. Other gay apps only show one ad, making jackd the most annoying among all.

Problems unsolved. Jack’d had a good start. It has its trends, insight function, multiple profile pics and info, plus swiping/like function. After years and countless updates, it has been going down like a snowball and the team doesn’t seem to want it stop. With plenty of function failures mentioned in the comments unfixed and unanswered, it’s not getting me anywhere but making its own way to the extermination. We can pretty much see the end of the road now. Find someone to manage the team/project, and I really hope to see you back in the future.

If you upgrade app remember to..... User's of this app should remember that when it is updated it's best to delete the app from your phone then download the updated app where you'll need to log in again without the loss of your profile or saved favorites.

Smart design. Smart looking design. Would you consider moving the "report" button? It's right where you push the back to members button on another screen and it's too easy to press by mistake on instinct even though you are not on the back to members button page? No way is this a criticism, just a request. Well done for the fresh look you have achieved!

Slowest and most unstable IM App ever!. This app has always had bugs, but recently, it's become intolerable. Why is it that every other IM app I use doesn't cause any of the issues that Jack'd now does? I like the fact that Jack'd separates outgoing and incoming messages, and I don't know if that's the reason for it's problems, but whatever causes this app to fail so often and so comprehensively must be identified and fixed by the developers. Jack'd, you've had years to figure this out and refine it, how about getting it somewhere close to working? I'm so close to deleting it entirely. It crashes, freezes, jams my phone (brand new iPhone 7 256GB), and when it does work, it's so hideously slow. Time is ticking, Jack'd. Fix it, lest 10,000 members a day delete it, instead of download it.

From bad to worse. It’s never been great but somehow it’s still here while only getting worse. 95% + of messages are spam - so if you open it quickly after a message notification you’ll see spam, if you leave it a while the notification stays there but when you open the message has been deleted already. I went to delete my account and you just Ebert your email and password to confirm deletion, but the password must comply to their new 6-10 characters limit where as my password from ages ago has 11 characters - so I can’t even delete my account without asking for help (and the help pages are so out of date they may as well delete them all).

Please allow users to block people again. Please allow users to block people again, even maybe for a limited number every day, it’s annoying to not be able to escape from some guys

Works ok - but why the random functions?. This app usually operates quite smoothly and what sets it apart is the insight function which gives such valuable info about each user! Why do we get global "picture match" to see people we may never meet? That's not totally useful....to anyone.

Could not register. It said free but then charged me $1 under the name of iTunes. During the registration process it keep asking me to enter two verification words, for which I entered correctly but it never accept it. It then said unknown error has occurred and asked me to try again later. I tried several time but the error was still there. What is going on? I want my money back. And it also said my nickname for this review was taken.

Just keeps getting worse. Jack’D has been fraught with problems for years. So many attempts to fix it but it’s still clunky. To make matters worse the level of pop up advertising is now so frequent and invasive I’d estimate I’m being shown an unskippable advert about once a minute. Renders the experience mind-numbing. Virtually unusable. I don’t think I’ll bother keeping it. After so many years I wish somebody would buy this while it still has any brand equity - and salvage it while they still can.

Unimpressed. I get that scruff bought Jackd. But why change it to look like Scruff with pretty pink colours. Now the only difference between the 2 apps is the names!

Can’t block without subscribing. The new update won’t allow me to block any users if I’m on a free account. I thought this app was bad before but now it’s unbearable and thankfully deleted. Blocking only clears a chat and the user still appears nearby and in the list of accounts that have viewed you. They definitely don’t appear in the list where u can unblock users; that’s reserved for accounts I blocked before the latest update

Pretty good. I love it when people don't be too money hungry because I will always end up donating anyway when I use their service. Especially Wikipedia. Now jack'd. The app itself is quite fun to use. I quite like the Match function and Insight. Many good features. Should incorporate the "Position" feature cos it's so hard to tell when one is the same or different to you. Good job guys. Keep it up.

a promising candidate. there's several 'gay dating' iPhone apps now, but in Australia at least, this is the first that's now also made for iPad, well done Gd! the interface is almost identical to the iPhone version, just bigger, which is another way of saying this first pass at an iPad version doesn't realise the potential of the iPad's large screen size anywhere near as much as it could. but it appears to be a 1-man developer, so in time this should improve :).

Scammers. So many of the users on the App are scammers. Trying to scam you into fraudulent currency transactions. I advise Jackd but little or no action is taken. Be careful here .

Ethnicity. Can no longer search by ethnicity. There’s nothing wrong with searching by ethnicity, this is political correctness gone mad.

Probably the best app of this type. Jack'd has lots of features I think many people have missed. "insights" is the latest. Brilliant app and I'd advise people to donate (I did) so as to get all the features.

More features than other apps - but has its quirks. This app has a lot more features than similar apps and subscription fees are far more reasonable. It has a few quirks with refreshing. (You sometimes have to reload and/or go back and forth to get things to update correctly.) One recent negative is the amount of spammers. Registration needs to be tightened to prevent bots from registering.

Best gay network app. I think this app is better than Grindr or scruff. Push notification and match making functionality are great. The quality of app is good. No bugs. Seems to be more popular for Asians. People on this app seem to be a bit more relaxed too.

Login issue. Created an account, then couldn’t login with the message saying my account or password wasn’t correct. I used “forget the password” feature to get a new password and it shows the same error message. I tried the next day to get another new password and couldn’t login, neither. Is this a bug? Should I wait for updates or just delete it? I am using iOS7.1 with the latest version Jack’d released on 16th.

Simple but Rarely Used. This app is simply designed, easy to use, and seems to have some really nice features such as the ability to see who has viewed or favorited your profile. Only trouble is, where I live, while there are a good number of profiles to look at, no-one ever seems to be online :-( or to do anything. Unreliable and it crashes down a lot. The app needs a lot of updating. It has so many bugs and it crashes a lot especially when u need it. So disappointing

Not user friendly. Updating profile info is annoying. The text box opens and after entering the info, no option to save it or go back.

1/2 a star. I would love to select than one star but it won’t let me. Has to be the worse app ever. Bugs run rampant through this app never mind all the bots lurking.

Disappointing. Used to work well but now can’t show matches, messages, notifications properly and timely which leads to misunderstandings between users. Half the time the messaging system doesn’t work anymore.

Terrible, straight up robbery. I paid for the Jacked Pro version for 14$, but the services were exactly the same. Still had limited views and all the restriction. Not to mention the ads that pop up every time. Even if the pro service worked, I had to log in every time I changed my location. I also got automatically banned by a bot for inappropriate pictures, even when it was just a shirtless pic. Stupid is so many ways.

Great again. New 6.1 app is so modern and responsive. Finally the app we’ve been waiting for.

More like JOKE’D. As a paying member I get an app that crashes constantly. An app that keeps getting me to log back in. An app that doesn’t send push notifications in real time half of the time. My money buys me an app that now currently I have to repeatedly send replies back multiple times in chat until it goes though. Guys get it together and get a good solid R&D team in place with a stellar tech team to get this app up and running and back on top. PLEASE!!!

Terrible. Don’t waste your time. This app will make your phone freeze for several minutes. If you contact support they tell you thank you for your patience but nothing actually gets done. I feel sorry for those who paid for the app, cause you got suckered by this trashy app. This used to be good but I’m done, all it does is freeze my phone every time I open and customer support. Save your time and energy, even Grindr is better.

Total crasher. This app crashes and freezes constantly. It interferes with music playing. So you cannot listen to your music while browsing. What a shame when it was a good (ie working) free app long time ago.

GPS bug, calls the wrong keyboard. What the hell? Everyone is showing really far away. Also whenever you message someone in the conversation window l, the app is calling for the email keyboard instead of the regular default keyboard. Quite annoying when you’re sharing the space bar with the “@“ button

Relock private pics for all feature?. This new version sucks. After unlocking so many private pics for so many people, now you can’t relock them all, you have to go through each person’s chat to relock it manually, which is impossible to do. Also, if you ever unlocked private pics for a few people but the chats were deleted, now you can’t relock their access unless you can find their profiles again. Please bring back the RELOCK PRIVATE PICS FOR ALL feature like the old version.

Terrible design on search and limitation on chat function. It is insane that the user need to pay money to see the pervious photo in the chat which the other sent u. It is not thing that I would expect to pay as it is just the photo that he shared to me. Also, it is ridiculous to pay for seeing other unlocked pic when the user has previously unlocked to u. On the search function, it makes thing complicated to search and refine the result. Even in the nearby tap, there’s no way to filter out the preferences of the user. Seriously the older version is user friendly than this new one

Ever since yesterday, when I open the app, it either doesn’t load, I can’t access my messages or I can’t switch from messages to main page, etc. Basically I can’t use the app anymore. I hope you guys fix whatever problem there is with the app as soon as possible, Thanks.

Too much spam. Hi, for the past few weeks there have been a lot of spam, ie getting messages from complete strangers (hundred or thousand of miles away) that has links to go visit them! Please investigate and rectify this problem!!

Horrible. This app is ridiculously horrible. It forces you to select a scene, one which isn't even representative of all categories in the 'gay' community. It forces us to label ourselves and if we don't fall into any of the categories how are we supposed to even use this app? I can't even see people on the app as a result of the update. Also, why are you limiting the amount of characters we can use in a password to 10? If you have a good password encryption algorithm (might I suggest AES key encryption or even blowfish? Lol) you wouldn't have to limit people's passwords. Get your act together

Non-existent reporting system.. It’s been a week since I found out someone was using my pictures and impersonating me on the app. I’ve been reporting them every single day, as well as sending them emails and questions through the support function on the app. No one has done anything. Makes you really wonder what kind of false integrity the app developers aim to achieve with this fake reporting system. How many more days do I have to wait until someone bans the impersonator or even gets back to me? What a joke. I hope none of you have someone else using your pictures because nothing will be done about it.

Numerous limits. This new version has so many limits, and it forced me to update my iOS to use it. I prefer the old version

Version 4.0 is a cash grab. The new update sacrifices a friendly UI in order to get users to pay for features offered for free since version 1. It's harder to understand when your messages have been read, "viewed by" is now being a paywall, and the matches feature doesn't show users nearby.

Awful since they changed the whole useface. Never show local users near me anymore. All I get are people from 200 miles away but none of locals showing. Sucks!

Too much scam. I installed the app a few years ago and I have never made many connections. It’s possible not many are present in my area. I’m going to uninstall this app because now I only open it to 1- read the message I receive, notice that it’s a scam bot, I report it and it’s all that happens. I thin that Lucid Dreams should do a better job at getting rid and filter the scam. The app costs 73$ a year and it’s not possible that I only deal with scam bots. Other apps are doing a way better job at it. Time to sail away.

No support for issues. I had a problem with the app crashing, said it didn't recognize my password. Tried to reset it, and since then I've been blocked. There is not support contact for the app, so I guess I'll have to wait for three months, until they delete my account. Meanwhile, I still get notifications of messages, but no way to login to get them. Seriously, this is a breach of supplier-consumer trust and responsibility.

Worst dating app. Worst dating app ever. You will constantly receive spam messages. Many times these messages come from Jack’d team group. They are very bossy, they will suddenly delete your “normal and unexposed” photos just to control you.

Wrong key board. The latest update calls the email keyboard, making basic things like question marks and comma disappear... wow

New 6.1 version is a clone of Srcuff?. Just updated to the newest version. Seems like they are using a similar design as Scruff. Probably the same code base, but a worse implementation. The app is less intuitive, the UI is step backwards and previously available features like filters are now paywall. A very bad update in my opinion and I will probably delete it. Oh well.

Not worth it. Distances of local people is inaccurate. Ads are way too intrusive. Not one, but two ads pop up one after the other, making me really not want to bother using the app anymore.

App Crushing. the App could not open after the 6.2100 update, still not work after re-installation and crushing have been an issue for this app since ... like forever please fix your apps

Too Many Faceless Profiles 👎🏻 👎🏻. I have never seen so many faceless profiles before on my life than one this app. Both Scruff and Jack’d are created/owned by the same company and I never have this issue on Scruff. Even when I’m going to the match I report all profiles they show me that doesn’t have a face (I’m assuming that’s a feature they have so they can fix the issues) but it never changes. Out of a daily 25 profiles they show me as part of the match I. Want to say at least 12 of not more are faceless. Why have that feature if you can’t fix it? The scruff app doesn’t seem to have that issue. I keep saying I’m going to delete the app if they don’t fix it and I think it’s time I finally do. 👎🏻 👎🏻

Horrible App December 2019. Your so pressed to get people to sign up for jacked premium. You now charge to unlock your photos, block people and you have to wait 24 hours to match with people. This app is now officially the worst app on the App Store I hope Apple removes this app from the store. It’s gotten worst and worst and worst to a point it’s not user friendly it’s just a big scheme to get you to pay for premium features that should be free.. completely trash Jack’d!!!

Last Online Inaccuracy. Overall, a decent app. I dislike the fact that the app will indicate that you’re online when you’re not. I receive random messages throughout the night from people assuming that I’m online when I’m not even awake to be online.

An unsafe community, beware.... In one of my first interactions in this app, I was catfished by someone using photos from a social media celebrity from another country. I caught on quickly, I get it that they’re out there... what’s unsafe is that I used the in-app feature to report the profile, with a complete list of links to the celebrity profiles as proof, and nearly a week later, the perpetrator’s account is still online, waiting for its next victim... stick to Tinder, Hinge, etc I’d say...

Annoying Software!. Want to log out? No, you can't. Want to see other members' profiles and your location has not been turned on yet? No, you can't do that either. Want to turn on your location in the software? No, you can't do that either; you must open you settings from the phone's menu then go to privacy then location then JACKD then ON then ALWAYS. You employees who work for jackd are idiots. Then you copy and paste the same response (submit a ticket on Zendesk). 😩IDIOTS! 🤷🏾‍♂️

I cant login. I cant log into the app even though i pay for the pro version which is absolutely absurd to me! I keep getting an error message about Touch ID having too many failed login attempts but i dont have a phone that has Touch ID! I use Face ID. Even if there is an issue i dont understand why the app doesn’t prompt me to use the passcode i have set to be able to login! This is ridiculous especially because i pay monthly for service smh!

Primer gay app. This is the new standard. So easy to navigate. Stores and sends videos. Allows you to delete messages you regret and change your mind about blocked customers. Use Jack’d pro. It’s worth the few bucks. I can’t believe some don’t take advantage of all the features for a few lowest bucks

Blocking.. I think it’s weird that we have to pay to block an unlimited amount of people. There are too many creeps out here harassing people and you can’t even block them without spending money. Not to mention the the reports we put in amount to nothing. Three years later and this comment still rings true within the last two weeks I’ve been harassed twice and nothing is done about it and I can’t block them

Updates. You guys should make it like an IPhone message where we see if the messages are read or not. Also make it where we can video chat with each other.

DID YOU EVEN READ THIS?Ive Been reporting fake profiles nothing done. I DO REPORT THEM LOOK AT YOUR RESPINSE SERIOUSLY YOU DO NOTHING! Updated ..The app has become loaded with fake profiles coming out of China using gps location hacks, they use internet pictures which never match up to age btw, always say looking for relationship which is hilarious. They try to lure you to WhatsApp and money scam I’ve reported dozens and my friends too Nothing is ever done. The profiles are there for weeks!

Glitches And technical difficulties. I only been using the app for about a month and towards the end of the month; I remember losing all my chats it locked me out and when I tried to create another account it said that my personal account had been suspended . When I tried contacting customer support I got no response. Furthermore, so far as the app it has a large room for improvement In terms of the filters and accessibility. And when messaging someone as well sometimes pictures I Messages don’t go through.

This might be the worst dating/hook up app ever.. I was recommended to use this app as I was told it the crowd that used it was more down-to-earth and less racist. Cut to the first month of using this app, Im getting countless d* pics non stop from faceless profiles, and guys asking me to give them 20$ for favors. This app is bottom-of-the-barrel. The interface is clunky and full of pain-points. I do not recommend. (there is no way people are paying for this thing)

Everything is monetized. The app fixed most of its bugs, which is nice. But, too many of the features that makes the app useful are behind a pay wall — especially your own album of photos. I do appreciate that the app doesn’t allow snapshots anymore, except for subscribers. Almost there. Hoping they dial back some of the paid features just a bit.

Massage scammer central. This app would get a better rating if they would stop the fake profiles. Everyday there are 1-3 fake massage profiles messaging me. Each one gets reported and blocked. Despite the many reports to Jack’d nothing seems to be happening on the apps end. We live in the age of technology and yet they still haven’t managed to find away to kill these profiles after they are made, or keep them from being created.

Technical issues. Great app just like Scruff. Difference, after I am done entering text, I’d like to save it, and get out of that keyboard mode which your app prevents from doing so. I was in the “interests” section, and after I was done entering text, there was no button to move to the next section, to go back or to save. My only option was to exit the app. So now I’ve deleted it. Shame, you might want to look into that.

A sea of torsos, faceless profiles, and toxicity behavior. Wanted to try to give this app another try but when I downloaded it, most of the guys in my area (a pretty gay area) are faceless? It’s actually really creepy and weirdly hard to find guys using their own photo. The harassment is high here as well. Strangely aggressive men and toxic attitudes toward effeminate men as well as drug sales that all seem to go unchecked. The people on this app makes me uncomfortable and honestly a lot of them seem unhinged. It does not feel safe. I’ll stick with the competition.

If the app is free let it be free.. It makes 0 sense that I have to pay for features that should be basic features on an app like this. If someone who messaged me takes it upon themselves to unlock their pictures, why are now half of the pictures still locked and the only way for me to view it is if I subscribe?! TF You are definitely limiting your consumer base by doing that. But what do I know. FYI, no one is using this app for dating. 😉

Jack’d has been ruined beyond repair. It’s just Scruff now. Also, you can’t log off anymore. Or see your old chats. Or unlock your pictures for more than a handful of people. Or keep your old profile text from before the update. The developer responses to the critical reviews are like, “connect with Jack’d support”—but I did that and my ticket was filed as a “translation error”. Oh and you can only have one ticket in their support system at a time, so I’d have to delete my criticism in order to report an actual bug 🙄

Why no blocking. I don’t like how I can’t block or report people because I have had a couple of people harassing me and just spam and spread hate which is so not cool and all I can do is delete them also everytime I re download the app they come back and see my profile and do it again so I would definitely fix that for all these weirdos who do not get the hint smh!!

They really showed me who’s boss💪🏼. After spending years as a paying customer, just for the right to block any toxicity, they kept asking me to rate the app and provide any feedback. Finally, i responded with a thoughtful critique about their questionable pic policy, and they suspended my account. They asked if I wanted a support rep to contact me. Instead of contacting me, they chose to be petty and childish and suspend me. Did I hurt their feelings? I guess apps are people too. Lol Retaliate much? Don’t ask me for feedback if ur sensitive 🤷🏽‍♂️

i'm suspended and i'm not getting help. i don't know how j got suspended but i did , and i was notified it would be a week or two but it's been abt 3 months and i cant get back in the app and make an account. Really irritating and hoping i can find another app similar if the problem doesn't get fixed

Trash of an app. You mean to tell me I have to pay for premium service in order to block someone that’s harassing me? If I could sue Jack’d , and will still explore that possibility but at the end of the day I’m on there by choice and can simply delete the app. A lack of protection from other members is like stores paying protection fees to gangs or organized crime. Same with Jack’d. I shouldn’t have to pay for privacy and respect. Also, do away with that wave feature or give us the option to turn it off. What’s the point of that?

It’s cool. The update is so much better. However I’m just confused as to why I’m still receiving ads when I have the pro edition. I don’t want to pay and to still be harassed about surveys. Make it make sense developers. The photo report option is complete joy for those who receive less attention on the app and a complete pain in the *** that users are allowed to basically get your profile deleted because you don’t want to interact with them. It’s better but it’s still some common sense errors that need to be improved.

Y’all Are Doing The Most. Swear y’all should’ve kept Jack’d like it was, This new update is got to much GOING ON hell i’d rather not even be on the app just because it’s to much going on. Missing. I truly miss the heyday of this app. Long before scruff took over. It was the first to offer multi photo profiles and hidden ones too. At one point, I recall in my travels, it was extremely popular in Southeast Asia. I’m from New England and the app seems to be truly dying here. It slightly used by black and Latino men. The only ones still keeping this app alive. Everyone else has dumped it. With every update it seems to offer less and less features, both free and paid. App has been moved to a folder for deletion on my phone. One star.

Review. Ever since Jack’d got bough it’s been more stable but not better. Though it might function correctly but it’s way too convoluted. It’s needs to be streamlined a lot. Nobody cares about “discover, global, new pics, etc and it you feel the need to add those it should be the last tab not the first. People who are nearby should be first messages should be second. Anything else is secondary. The match function is now ruined. Getting matches from people I know I never matched with. Why is that? Personally I think it’s safer to allow screenshots so you have record of those you spoke to. If you need to hide that much stay offline.

App just stopped working. I don't know what happened but it won't even open anymore. It pops up with a "connection error" that leads to a screen that tests your connection. That screen doesn't find any problems but when you restart the app, clear your cache, or use all the options in the help section, it still leads to this screen. I've deleted and reinstalled the app, and contacted support to no avail. Welp, guess that's it for Jack'd.

It’s no longer good anymore nor the go to app, it’s just “a dating app people don’t find meaningful anymore” No ones reading those ads nor am I downloading anything from the ad. ITS SUPER ANNOYING THE “improvements” were ways you guys decided to sniff out money from folks that actually enjoyed the app. You’re literally trying to charge us for our own photos with work done from our own phone. Simple and Clean. I am an avid user of Jack’d (Pro Member). There are many features that allow me to meet others quick and easy…or not. Either way it’s easy to use and when I do have the time to browse I usually score.

Hustlers and cons. The app itself works fairly well and can be updated quickly. The block feature is good and you’ll need it. Even though I included that I was not generous and do not ask for money, at least half the men asked for money or some type of gratuity. Often after long conversations the truth would come out. Began to feel unsafe and I eventually deleted the app. Even though they claim asking for cash is not allowed, it’s not policed. Many of the profiles include the word “generous “ or have a $ symbol attached.

Never. This app alone doesn’t deserve to have face pics showing your identity. These people behind the app you go report a problem to them and nothing gets taken care of They pretty much ignore your problems So it’s weird to me that they won’t help the illegal situation that is against there policy

Where is my location. Stop setting up the online guy and make it show your location straight! After removing the setting to switch to a particular position, my position does not change at all from a fixed position. This is not a problem with my phone's location service or Wi-Fi setting

New update ruins it. Use to you watch a 30 second video to get more matches with local people. Now you have to wait 12 hours to match with others. The new app is just messy and unnecessary. So far haven’t had any luck meeting anyone who can keep an interesting conversation going. There is no customer service at all, I ve reported someone bullying me. And nothing happened, also not many guys have face pictures up, or they’ll post a picture of a celebrity or something.

Bias, mean, and trashy I don’t recommend. The moderator will block your pics if you aren’t skinny. They will block your pics for false reasons such as claiming nudity if they don’t think you are sexy. While skinny guys will actually be particularly nude and still have there pictures accepted. They will block you from creating accounts even if you have a bad experience and want to restart a new account. In my opinion these app are bad for you mentally and eventually take their toll on everyone. I wouldn’t recommend it if you are a sensitive person.

Not as fun as it used to be…. The functionality on this app has become increasingly limited as opposed to 3-5 years ago. It’s like once they created this pro subscription model, they’re slowly moving their best features so that now you have to pay for them. At this rate, eventually you’ll have to subscribe just to use the app entirely. No thanks. Not to mention the range of guys seems a bit too “focused” and I don’t have any freedom to filter out what I don’t want to see.

Dislike the update!. I’ve been a FAITHFUL Jack'd user since 2011. I absolutely love the app and how it brings queer people of color together! With that said, I HATE THIS NEW UPDATE. I dislike how juvenile the interface and design looks. I don’t like how the message section looks now, and the list goes on and on. I think you guys should do like Gmail does and update your services but also update the previous one and allow users to choose which version they’d like to be using Jack'd through. Cuz this new update...its making me NOT want to use the app anymore!

Jack’d Pro is lame. They suspended my account because none paying account holders would report my account because I wouldn’t have sex with them. Jack’d allows you to select what service you provide(Masseur) but can’t say that you do massages and that you charge for that service. How lame is that. They will take your money every month and you have to find a way to promote your service without these sex hungry account holders reporting you for not having sex with them.

Okay but there are some things that need fixing. Overall the app is good. However, I will get notifications that state someone sent me a message and when I go to view the message it doesn't load. It’s like no one sent one in the first place. I don’t know if it’s a notification error or the message itself is not loading.

Who has been running this trash app all these years?. The app has been horrible since the new cheap looking interface and all of the new restrictions pretty much make Jack’d undesirable compared to others now. It was always never as good but now significantly worse than the rest. Also came here to let you guys know that the app crashes every time I tried to open for 2 days. I really wish you’d do better as you’ve always had the title of worst

It’s Bad. TERRIBLE. I’ve never seen it glitch this way before. Rarely ever let’s me log in. If I’m lucky, I can get online for 20 minutes. Some times it’s down all day, keeps giving me the same error message about connection servers. Very annoying. I reached out to support and they said since I was able to log in once, my issue was solved. But it was not, it’s only gotten worse. Not really very helpful. Maybe God is telling me to stay off these dating apps once and for all because this is ridiculous.

This app is wrong. I’ve been using this app since September of 2023 and the first time my account was suspended but I got it back now it got suspended again and now I can’t get it back I don’t know why and what I did to have my account suspended the only thing that they did was get me a ticket and never responded back about why my account is suspended seems like they pick and choose who to suspend i don’t understand

Poor App Design. Year after year this application is plagued by all sorts of immersion breaking bugs such as the inability to save profile changes because the entire top half of the application goes black when trying to make changes, being unable to change or upload profile photos and being unable to mark messages as read or respond to them altogether. Even after all these years you still have dumb engineers working on quality and reliability and ITS NOT WORKING

A compliment. Actually has gotten significantly better over the years. Fewer crashes and fewer fake profiles than other similar apps. Developers have done okay improving this. Pop up ads are annoying but it takes just a moment to close them. In fact, compared to the competitors, this is one of the best. Fewer scammers, too.

Awful user experience!. You cannot use app without signup… you try to signup, it asks many multi step questions then… error: update your app. Updated. Trying again: all my answers reset, had to repeat everything from birthday to photos upload… account NOT created! Verify your number via sms… Error! Your number is invalid! … Retry everything from scratch… Error your number used too many times! Are you kidding? You should store my account on your server on first try and THEN ask me for anything…

Horrible. I have been paying for the app for years, and I still cannot see some messages that people send. I reach out for help and get a generic, robot-like response each time. I ask for tailored help with my message retrieval, and send pictures, but they refuse or just don’t care. Not recommended. They won’t help you see all of your messages, but they will take your money.

Features. I like the new features however I don’t like the fact that you have to upgrade to Pro for simple things. There’s a guy that’s been harassing me for months but since I don’t have Pro I can’t even block him. I’ve reported him numerous times in which you guys did nothing. He even threatened to kill me but hey, you guys don’t care right. Again, I like the new features but some of the things that are in prop should be free of charge.

App is trash. So in the beginning app was nice, then it went a couple years crashing, not sending messages, and often times refusing to log in. They finally fix the basic functionality then force you to update to a version that charges you for everything. They block your msgs after a few texts, you can’t unlock your pix, you can only store 2 pix to send in chat, and you can’t even block an account without paying for the app. It’s time we part ways after 8 years.

Slightly better on all accounts.. The app is slightly better than Grndr on all accounts, esp. since Grindr started pulling features from non-premium users. The best part of Jack’d, which people tend to tiptoe around is: there appears to be far less racist attitudes/racist profile comments than that of Grndr.

Rich Black Men. In my area, Jack’d has a rich amount of black guys and men of color. The occasional persons of no color is also a refreshing experience. It’s the go-to place to meet your everyday black guy in a casual, not too speedy setting.

Finally. Jack’d has finally reached the point where I’m not embarrassed to tell people I use it. The upgrades are tremendous. It took a minute, but you have reached recommend status.
