Great Customer Sevice,. ForeFlight Customer Service has been outstanding! Through presentations, documentation, and direct technical support, it is the best I’ve experienced in Aviation. The product itself is fantastic; VFR, IFR, and for specialized applications such as pipeline patrol and aerial mapping, it provides the best source of preflight planning and enroute monitoring possible. It even provides the tools that allow you to post-flight your performance as well as your aircraft’s performance, which will fine-tune your skillset and help you get the most from your airplane.

Great App, even better support. As an official “Old Guy” who started flying in airplanes without an electrical system and no radios and who never touched an iPad until last year, I’m a believer. The iPad with ForeFlight has completely replaced my chart case and while I’m still learning the finer points of updating databases and using the iPad it’s great. The support at ForeFlight is fantastic, quick, and the folks there have been very helpful explaining how to make the technology work for me. I highly recommend ForeFlight to anyone who hasn’t tried it, and if you get stuck, they’re support folks will get you out of the ditch and back flying the same day. Bonanza A-36 / Mike

Fast search is anything but fast. With the addition of “fast search” FF just became extremely slow and not very user friendly. In rare cases it would be helpful to see available choices but there needs to be a work around too. If you want to type out an IFR clearance in the Maps tab the continuously updating search function makes it impossible to type out a route, your keypad inputs are skipped while the search is running. Even copy/paste seems impacted and rarely works from an outside app or email. When receiving a PDC clearance or a filed flight plan route via email there has to be a way to ‘import’ a route with a quick copy/paste. Unfortunately the FLP edit tab doesn’t allow a workaround for copy/paste either. There either needs to be a setting to turn off fast search or it has to go away altogether.

Needs better UX for Apple’s Pencil and Keyboard accessories. First, I’ll say this App was a complete game changer. But they need to keep up with Apple’s accessories… 1. In documents, switching between a highlighter and a pen should not require this many touches. Right now you must change the color, thickness and transparency. 2. Most other apps let you double tap the pencil to switch to the previous tool or the eraser, Foreflight should as well. 3. Support for the Apple iPad Keyboard: you can’t even pan the map right now using the touchpad, but my iPad is usually in this keyboard stand when I’m not flying.

This is the best darn flight app out there.. You would not believe how much work load is taken off your hands when you use Foreflight. It is for all intents and purposes a handheld MFD that gives every weather update that you can think of, shows where you are on VFR and IFR charts, pairs with all ads-b antennas, allows you to file flight plans, find and contact FBOs, get all information about an airport in large easy to read presentations, find instrument approach plates in seconds, and can even function as an emergency ahrs if all else fails if you have the right equipment. I’ve had my students use the paper books and charts and then use my ForeFlight app and they find the answer I’m asking them to find in less than 1/2 the time. I’ve had this since I started my private training and I’ve been grateful ever since. A true lifesaver in IFR training, and the ability to pair with ADS-B portable antennas cut my close calls out in busy flight training airspace down to 0. Love this little app. Buy it. It’s worth every penny.

Still can’t add multiple track logs or combine logs. Doing my IFR training and hitting a really annoying limitation… I can’t add more than one track log to a flight and I can’t properly log an x/c with a stop for lunch. We need the ability to link multiple log entries as a single flight or trip, also forwarding from a paper logbook as a single “totals” entry doesn’t allow for the distinction of towered vs. non-towered landings. I have to make tons of additional entries with different properties so that my 8710 actually shows the correct values. Why isn’t there an 8710-style page for entering starting totals from a paper log? Multiple entries for the same day will frequently appear out of order and this is highly annoying. The logbook needs some serious work and ff is falling behind garmin pilot. Then, there’s no way to set up a route on the map with multiple approaches with the published missed, so not super helpful when going up to shoot a bunch of practice approaches. Lastly there’s no spilt screen to show the plate next to the map, overlay’s are nice, but sometimes i need the plate separate from the map because distance rings and traffic frequently cover numbers on plates. On a 10” ipad in landscape mode, there’s screen real estate going to waste when the only option is to split it with AHRS.

Can’t click on airports within VFR charts. The new update won’t let me click on airport icons and view the menu with frequencies METERS and other information within VFR charts. Only way to view that information is to go to the airports tab at the bottom. I can still click on TFRs and airways within the VFR chart. This issue is on both iPad and iPhone devices. Love this app, but update broke or took away a great feature. Update: The update seemed to turn off my custom setting to show airports on the VFR map. Was able to change setting on both devices.

Amazing support!. After two flawless years of use, I did develop a technical problem with ForeFlight. I sent an email to support and within minutes I had a personal response (on a Friday evening!!!). After a couple of exchanges, the issue was better, but not solved. To my utter surprise, I received a call from Albert who added the final touch to solve the problem (which was predominantly a user error). I can not recall when I last received such support from a tech company. That commitment tells you all you need to know.

What happened to my bookmarks?. ForeFlight is a great tool for any pilot who needs/wants assistance with navigation or flight planning. As a flight student at Riddle, it is a very valuable resource. One of my favorite features was the document feature, where you can download .pdf’s, powerpoints, pictures, and other documents and organize them into folders. This was very useful for studying for checkrides, but with a recent update ForeFlight deleted every single one of my bookmarks for every textbook, FAR, or any other document. This is a huge detriment to me, due to the fact I am taking a check ride next week, and would like the bookmarked pages I had for backup. Now I have to go back and re-bookmark everything which is very frustrating. Please fix, if this happens in the future then I will find a different app to satisfy flight planning needs Edit: Another thing that would be incredibly helpful, if possible I would love to have the option to enlarge my navlog when operating/planning a flight plan. It’s frustrating to have to squint my eyes to see waypoints on the tiny navlog at the top of the screen.

Life Saver. Early in my flying career, shortly after my first solo but before my ppl check ride I was saved by Foreflight. Flying solo, I was out practicing maneuvers and not paying any attention to the weather that was coming in behind me, and covering the airport I was to return to. When it was time to come back I pointed the nose toward my home base and before I really knew what I had done, I flew vfr into imc. No where near instrument rated I was truly lost in a sea of white. Thankfully I had Foreflight on my iPad with synthetic vision and the stratus 2 feeding attitude information. I transitioned to flying the plane like a video game watching that screen. I was able to keep the plane under control and maneuver though and out of the imc to and alternate airport and land safely. It was an absolutely terrifying event for me. I truly believe the outcome would not have been even close to this had Foreflight not been in the cockpit with me. For this I am truly thankful and fly with Foreflight on every flight. Through the years Foreflight has only increased its capabilities and has never let me down. I recommend it to everyone who flies. Thanks for a great product and saving my life.

ForeFlight’s awesome support. As part of the Civil Air Patrol becoming part of the Total Force, we’ve been given many tasks that the military or contractors used to do. Recently, the USAF included CAP in their ForeFlight contract. That means we no longer had to self fund this portion of our volunteer support. Even better than that has been ForeFlight Customer Support in this transition. From refunding recently paid subscriptions, to working the account conversations, any concern was resolved in minutes...each time. With lots of morale numbing tasks in flying CAP, this initiative, and especially painless transition, really helps. Both the folks at NHQ CAP, and especially the ForeFlight customer service, have just been awesome.

Please respect the private pilot.. The latest update, 11.0.1, is asking me to pony up another $100 bucks a year to add 3D airport view to my existing subscription. I’m already paying an extra $100 so that my Stratus 2S receiver will display an artificial horizon and terrain warning. I don’t need jet fuel pricing and international route planning for my Cessna 152 and Super Decathlon. And since I can see an airport in 3D on Google Earth, I don’t think I need to pay you more for that feature. Great app but only 3 stars because of your pricing structure that hoses non-professional pilots into having to pay for what they don’t need in order to get the few features they do want and do use.

Customer Service continues to be the best in the business!. I was having some difficulty getting the ICAO settings on my mobile device correct, and called the helpline. Josh C. was the technician who helped straighten out all of the settings on my portable device that were causing problems. Extremely knowledgeable, portrays a very friendly and helpful attitude over the phone, and got me fixed in no time at all. Thanks again for the good work that all of you do. Because he was so helpful, I will overlook his propensity to cheer for the guys wearing burnt orange.

Outstanding Support. The app itself is indeed excellent, with new updates continuously bringing new valuable features. But what really makes the app shine is the outstanding support. While lack of a phone number to contact may at first seem disappointing, I can assure anyone that if you send a support question via email or their contact form, you always get a response within an amazingly short period of time. I seem to find myself requesting help every 12-18 months or so. And every time I get a quick response, and they stick with me until it’s resolved. ForeFlight support is among the best of any app I’ve experienced!

Don’t Leave Home Without It. As a career software developer/designer, I’ve seen many times where software makes life easier, or more efficient. I’ve also seen many times where software tries to fill a gap that doesn't really exist. With 100% certainty, I can say that ForeFlight is one of the best things to happen to General Aviation since the Wright Brothers’ first flight. It correctly fills many gaps that existed prior to its existence and leverages technology to make your flight easier and safer. I learned to fly in the era prior to ForeFlight. When I returned to flying, I was impressed with how far such technology had come. I can hardly imagine flying without my ForeFlight now. No more paper charts or semi-guesswork ... it’s all in ForeFlight, in an easy to interface on the tablet platform of your choice. ForeFlight offers a 30 day trial. You can’t go wrong with that deal.

Super Product and Amazing Customer Service. I have been using FF for years in many aircraft, needless to say it is a super product and the continual upgrades are just phenomena too. The effort behind this essential pilot tool is clear. But what recently took my appreciation to an even higher level is their customer service. I am working on converting all 15 years of paper logbooks into the electronic FF system (after my MEL commercial instructor and DPE gave me lots of grief for not being in the modern world - it makes summarizing flight experience and signoffs etc. for new certs much easier). Transferring all the time takes some work and I had numerous questions, not only about how to use the system, but how to log things jet sim time, etc. I asked questions and got immediate answers from experienced pilots, at least one of whom served as Chief Pilot for a commercial operation, so he knew the regs cold and pointed me to the proper FAA references. These guys are all about aviation, not just tech. Thanks Adrian and Todd!

An Essential for Any EFB. I’ve been using ForeFlight for many years and it keeps getting better and better. Like any technical app, the pilot gets from it what they put into studying and watching the rich series of training videos they producing. Even reviewing older ones will enhance your ability to use its many features. Their Customer Service is excellent and very responsive. Most are pilots themselves and understand that when we do reach out to them, it’s time sensitive and always relates to safety and good aeronautical decision making. Between great service and a great app, ForeFlight has become one of my “flight bag essentials”

Amazing and Essential. I’ve been using ForeFlight for years now, and it’s an indispensable EFB for my flying. It’s fabulous for logbook entries, weight and balance, fuel calculations, and flight planning. AND with Sentry installed it’s an excellent back up for PFD. It’s so easy to upload my flight plans into my FMS, PDC is fantastic, Imagery is great, and the briefing most useful. If you are a pilot this is a must have. As for support, they have responded to my issues within 5 min the two times I needed support. I am astounded how responsive that they are with any issue. I could go on, but it’d be just more glowing recommendations. GET FOREFLIGHT!

Good But…. They push the top tier subscription hard and intentionally bait users with new features that readily exist in competitors less costly EFB. Most frustrating is the inability to export a gps file for my flight plan so I can import to my in panel GRT. The inability to enlarge text is another big issue. I have 20/20 vision and use an iPad mini and constantly struggle. Might need to get a bigger iPad. Overall a great product with huge user base but I honestly think other EFB’s are just as good for less money. I have a total of 3 EFB’s and compare them constantly. Finally, it feels as though ForeFlight is pushing away us leisure guys for the corporate and deep pocket folks. Maybe they should consider spinning another company off and give better focus to general aviation.

Phenomenal app, superb - no, INSANE!! - Customer Support. Yesterday at 0915 hours I had a question about how to get something done within Foreflight since a fuel calculation did not seem to be working. AT 0919 HOURS I received a written e-mail response that fixed and correctly and completely addressed my issue (it was my own mistake all along). This is THE example of an app that I use to highlight how an app should be built. TREMENDOUS thought on user interface and what the pilot/customer wants and needs, when, how, etc. Absolutely simply and perfectly superb app that keeps having more and more useful functionality added to it all the time. Dollar for dollar, this vies for the honor of, “best money spent on my aviation needs” award. And believe every single tiny thing you may have EVER heard about their customer service. You have never been exposed to any app software support that will even come close to this group. Pilots writing software for pilots. I am a lifelong customer and fan. Way to go, ForeFlight. You just continue to hit these right out of the park time and time and time again!

More Devices. I have 4 iPhones and and 3 IPads. I would love it to have on all devices but only use two at a time. The issue with the iPad iPhones and the app is battery life and recharge time. My airplane is supposed to have a cigar lighter so maybe I can find it and plug in. But last flight everything went dead at the moment when I needed the most. Fell back to Preflight planning and back up charts. I can see the tremendous potential of the app just found it disappointing that I cannot put it on all my devices without having to pay for more devices. And since Apple account is not normally shared and most people can’t use more than two devices at a time there is absolutely no reason to restrict the number of devices to install the app on. Actually created a potential hazard that was not necessary.

Appreciation. I like intuitive venues. Foreflight is a fine example of combining what you need to know with an easy path to get there. The cockpit of an airplane can be tedious and challenging, and when things go south, it is nice to have a backup that is comprehensive and able to solve a multitude of scenarios that might arise without notice. I consider it to be the best emergency kit when the chips are down. In addition…. It takes skill and a lot of energy to generate the documentation required to give the user an easy and understandable text that will enable the pilot to have the tools to use the Foreflight APP in a reasonable amount of time. Part of this relies on staff support that cares and has the knowledge and the personal touch it takes to interact with the customer that is professional, provides minimum response time, and solves the problem. Thank you for all of the above, and continue with the knowledge that you are appreciated. Kudos to all! Have a special day. Ross Ferland

Pleased User. This is absolutely the most useful app for aviation available. I have used it for several years and am seriously impressed at the ongoing improvements they provide several times annually. About the time I think they could add a feature, they do so in a manner better than I could have envisioned. Their exceptional, personable, product support team is very responsive and have helped me many times. You will NOT be disappointed with ForeFlight. As a caution, you’ll want a reasonably new IPad with 64gb to run the app. if you want to download all US charts, procedures and have room for electronic copies of FAA documents and some of your own within the app. I have Maintenance Manuals and Parts manuals for my aircraft downloaded and ready in the event I need them on a cross country flight to equip a mechanic with what they may need to make a repair.

Customer Service. It’s a beautiful Sunday morning and I’m trying to create a weight and balance profile in ForeFlight for a T206 with tip tanks with an FAA DPE looking over my shoulder. (And failing miserably...) After loading all the data I still couldn’t get the CG profile to load properly. All the math was working but the CG envelope was not. I sent the customer service folks at ForeFlight an email not expecting a response until Monday if at all. Well the Customer Service Team responded back immediately with the answer and a sample profile that made it too easy for a dinosaur like me. So...buy ForeFlight because it’s the best product on the market and then renew your subscription because their customer service will be there for you.

Foreflight: ruining an app one update at a time. This is the worst update foreflight has ever made. They took something so streamlined, quick, and easy as flight planning and made it cumbersome and ungainly. It's no longer simple to make a few little changes and see how it affects the flight. You have to load and create performance profiles. It's like they never even considered you might fly a different speed or TAS at different altitudes. Not to mention not everyone wants to waste time with creating a whole new profile when you just want to see how changing one number changes the flight. AND not everyone only flies one airplane! These last two updates ruined the best thing about foreflight. Now they've also ruined your map screen. All the colors have shifted and seem to be permanently stuck on night mode. No setting will change it back. Now you can barely read TAFs and metars in the daylight. On top of everything else the app crashes at least once a flight now, and if it doesn't crash you have to restart it any time it loses communication with your ADS-B unit because it won't reconnect or show any data or even the device unless you restart the app. Talk about going backwards.

An old pilots perspective. I am a retired American Airlines captain who has been flying for fifty-three years. I have over thirty thousand hours, seven jet type ratings and am a recipient of the FAA’s Wright Brothers Master Pilot award. I now live full time at an Airpark and enjoy flying EAA young eagles in my C-182 and try to give back to aviation that has been so good to me. It is my opinion that Fore Flight is one of the best safety devices developed for pilots in the history of aviation. I not only use the app on my IPad and IPhone before, during, and after every flight, I also contact Team Fore Flight on a monthly basis. I often send them and email with a question and they usually answer within an hour. Pretty impressive in my view.

Awesome product backed by awesome tech support. Simply put, ForeFlight is the best! Their awesome product is backed by awesome tech support. I reached out for help on a Sunday afternoon fully expecting to hear back in several days. Within 10 minutes, Todd from tech support was helping me troubleshoot. In just a few minutes he had a solution to my problem (which it was my fault) and had me back up and running. It says a lot about a company when they have your back even after hours and on a Sunday. I continue to be more and more impressed with their product, especially knowing it’s backed with awesome customer support. Thanks Todd and everyone at ForeFlight.

SOME APPS SHOULD HAVE 6 STARS!. As a private pilot since 1977, I have gone from paper charts and ruler to GPS and now to ForeFlight— the modern era of navigation and pilot assistance!!!!!! I encountered an unusual computer glitch in a background feature and the response by ForeFlight — especially Albert and Joey — has been nothing short of spectacular, complete, and prompt. I fly with iPhone and iPad both loaded with current routing as well as backup batteries and paper maps (which I haven’t needed to use) ..... and, of course USB cables plugged into accessory (lighter) plug on panel. Equipped? You bet — especially because of ForeFlight — a must for EVERY pilot, from new students to gray hairs!

Outstanding application. I have been flying for only about 15 years, instrument rated for 14 and instrument current since then; and I am comfortable to say that ForeFlight has improved the experience and safety of flying more than anything else I have seen over that time – even the G1000 avionics of my Mooney. Although I am a doctor and a teacher of medicine, I was VP for IT at my hospital for a decade and have written a good deal of software. When I give talks about the horrible things that are happening right now to medical computing, I use ForeFlight as an example of how software good should and can be. Highest recommendations without reservation.

Foreflight: Essential and best value in all of aviation!. FF is easily the best app for aviation. I have all others, and they are not bad, some even good (eg GP), but I will not leave home without FF. Connecting to various Garmin devices now makes it a great in flight manager as well. I am glad that emphasis is placed on pre-flight management in this update. While flying multiple aircraft in various conditions, different performances, loads, settings, it is all adjusted on the fly through a pilot centered, intuitive interface. This makes keeping track of all data pertinent to a flight, as well as briefing, filing and tracking the flight as easy as can be. As an app goes, it is not cheap like a 2.99 game, but as an essential, reliable tool it is the cheapest utility around in all of aviation. In a world where we measure things in AMU’s, this app and it’s subscription fees are nothing to cry about, and in my opinion the subscription fee is the least I can contribute to keep this ForeFlight team eager to improve and grow. My only concern is not related to FF, but more related to the iPad and its very short life cycle before obsolescence. I am already concerned about what will happen when iPads cease to exist. For now, i am including a new iPad every other year to the price of doing business.

Great EFB, but Map frame-rate and resolution are not optimized.. ForeFlight is an excellent tool for flight planning, weather analysis, and everything in-between. However, there are two glaring issues I have with the application, especially when compared to the competitors (primarily Garmin Pilot). To start off, the screen frame-rate is capped at either 24 or 30 FPS. The app feels laggy due to this. This is especially upsetting if you have the latest Apple devices (such as the iPhone XS and especially the iPad Pro) that can do 60 FPS and 60+ FPS respectively. Secondly, the map resolution could be sharper, and isn’t optimized for particular devices. The sectional (or zoomed out En-route IFR chart) view is pixelated on my iPhone XS and does not sharpen up until it becomes a TAC. Even then, the map isn’t as sharp as it is on Garmin Pilot. Updating these two features would be excellent for me, and would change my 3-star review to a 5-star review. For $100 or more to purchase this app, things like this should be worked in.

Poor Customer value attitude and service. As a flight academy owner, I have been an advocate for ForeFlight to my customers and and a user myself for over a decade. However recently I have been getting complaints from my clients regarding poor customer service. Most share a commonality of brush offs from the help desk and none returned requests for help or service. Personally, I recently lost a feature I was using due to my own fault of accidentally hitting the hide option tab. When I reached out to the help desk I was told the only way I could get back “hidden options” was to upgrade my subscription to the next higher level. When I questioned the sensibility of having to upgrade to get something I already had in my normal package back, the communication from ForeFlight went off radar!!! My rating would be lower, but in fairness I felt like I owed them a couple of stars for the good service I had up until this recent issue.

ForeFlight customer service. Great app terrible customer service. Bought app had one question. Was charged $5 and they sent links with no resolution. Asked for phone call. They were charging $39. After pressing agreed to wave fee then said phone service wasn’t available. Ridiculous. Guess I’ll figure it out on my own. Don’t count on foreflight. I shifted from Garmin pilot to get a better app. Garmin’s customer service is outstanding. They should merge. Great app and great customer service is a dream. Oh well!! Update- I was scammed by someone other than ForeFlight. Thought I was dealing with FF. Since have been contacted and all is good. They say they never charge for help. My fault. Love the app. Much better than GP.

Recent changes poorly done. Long time user. Recent changes to airport popup dialog causing resizing and movement of map are visually jarring. After years of teaching and ifr use, now mostly for std briefings, ads-b traffic & metars, and close navigation through airspace. Reviewing the many alternatives. Several months later- they’ve improved the above a bit, not quite so bad. Problem now is it barely runs on an old iPhone 6S 16G dedicated to it, no other apps, only vfr charts for MA, NH, ME. Last update I had to un- and reinstall entire app because *only* had ~2G free for routine airport and nav update. They’re chasing high-end users, leaving those using it as grassroots navigator solution behind. Beware if that’s your niche.

Weather bugs go unfixed, Apple Watch Deleted. If you have multiple weather sources connected, like LTE, a GDL 39 etc... Weather will often not display. If one source does not have data, then it will block data from all other sources. The only way to get weather is to turn off the equipment, or connections one at a time in trial and error fashion. Got an Apple Watch to use with Foreflight, then found they deleted the advertised function in an update. Wish I could use Foreflight, however the lack of weather forces me to use other products that do not have this bug. Have no problem with other weather apps when multiple weather sources are connected. I did report this bug both in person at Oshkosh 5 months ago, and via email.

5 Star App, 6 Star Customer Service. I’ve been using ForeFlight for several years now and the app has always been at the forefront of innovation and usefulness. If it doesn’t quite have everything you could possibly want, just wait a bit, it will probably be in the next update. As for their customer service, it cannot get any better. Problems are few are far between, but when they arise their customer service team is on top of it. Case in point, we had a pop up trip to Mexico and their Mexico/Latin America rep Albert has not only helped me with getting the proper subscriptions, he as also helped us other solving some pilot certification issues with the Mexican authorities. Great App, Great People, you cant ask for more than that.

Customer Service Above and Beyond. Our company had an immediate international deployment and originally my request to get charts to our pilots was left unattended for some time. I was initially frustrated with process for customer service. Then my case was elevated. The customer service manager reached out to me with his personal phone number. At that point the customer service went beyond helpful and accommodating. The agent worked with me at all hours to resolve the issue and get us the charts needed for our mission. I can thankfully say ForeFlight went above and beyond to as far as contacting a foreign nation trying to get us any chart reference for our operation. Thank You!

Keeps getting better. I've been using Foreflight since 2007 when it was a web app on the then brand new iPhone. It is without a doubt the best and most useful app I own. When I'm working (commercial helicopter pilot) I use it every day to check wx, TFR's etc. and whenever I'm doing an xc flight I use the maps, and airport info for freqs and fbos. With each new release they improve upon an already stellar product and their support is second to none. Every time I've emailed about a question or an issue I have received a personal response within a few hours. Foreflight has changed aviation for the better. Keep up the good work!

Current version is infuriating. The app has always worked well until this last update with the active search for previous flight plans constantly gumming up the keyboard entries. I can’t tell you how many times in the last few weeks I’ve had to rewrite the entire route due to missed letters and numbers. You used to be able to just search previous routes as a separate function, but now it’s rammed down your throat and forces you to either tp le hs or t y p e l i k e t h i s to I put your route. The annoying and entirely pointless feature needs to be reverted to the old, separate search. Don’t think to yourself “this asshat must be using an iPhone 3GS to get such crappy lags!” No, I’m using an iPhone X, and this crap is ridiculous.

Invaluable for rapid flight planning and execution!. I have used ForeFlight for several years in my personal flying. In the last year I have been flying medevac and can’t imagine doing my job without it. When the 2am call comes, it gives me a great picture of the weather, Notams, and suggested routes if it’s an unfamiliar destination. I recently got the apple pen for the iPad Pro 9.7 and don’t even have to break out paper and pen to copy a clearance, still keep them in reach, but haven’t had to use them once. I never thought I would be comfortable without any paper charts at all but with the required backup Ipad on board I have no qualms. I appreciate the gradual improvements the team makes to the app, it’s never anything so crazy that you can’t figure out how to use the app after an update. Keep up the good work!

Outstanding Pilot Flight Planning, Inflight Safety EFB. Foreflight is the leader in this Pilot Comprehensive Flight Tool (EFB). The tool is data rich providing my commercial pilot and flight teaching operations an exceptionally safer and multiple times more helpful inflight. Your entire IFR certified flight deck could fail and this tool could navigate you to safety. I just got off the very responsive help Team to fix errors that I migrated over the past six years in my Aircraft lists and logbook entries that Joey got me through. As pilots our logbook integrity is the gold that represents our years of flying. It’s our portfolio that the FAA, employers, insurance companies and we take very seriously. The risk of data loss or inaccuracy is of utmost importance and Foreflight backs up and keeps consecutive instances of your data as a fail safe recovery. Thank you.

My gratitude. It is hard to find superlatives that do justice to Foreflight. “It is our co-pilot.” “It is my long term and near term weather analyst.” “It can tell me if my weight and balance or crosswind limits are even close for any flight.” “It displays all ADSB traffic, near and far.” “It is my planning and filing tool.” “It is my recourse in the event of a total electrical failure.” The list of assets and values to the aviator could fill this page. The one thing that exceeds the genius of the Foreflight tool is the great heart of the Foreflight support people who answer our questions. Sometimes the questions are arcane; sometimes they are rudimentary. No matter. Without exception over the six years of my subscription history, the people standing by are quick, kind, gracious and committed—to my safety and satisfaction as a pilot and as a fellow human beings. Thank you, Foreflight Team.

Best aviation app or around. But beware one very dangerous feature.. In my opinion, ForeFlight is, by far, the best aviation app out there. It is very easy to use, and has a great amount of features for both VFR and IFR flying. However, a feature they added recently, takeoff and landing distance calculations, have dangerous errors in the calculations. Although I contacted ForeFlight over a month ago about this concern, this dangerous feature is still in the app. When calculating landing distances, ForeFlight does not take the displaced threshold into account. It will show the proper LDA, or landing distance available, but they do not take this into account when calculating your landing distance. Instead, they use the total runway length to do this. When a 2500 foot runway has a 500 foot displaced threshold, foreFlight will calculate the landing distance using 2500 feet. If you use this for planning purposes, you will run into trouble. I had suggested that ForeFlight remove this feature from the app until they can get the numbers working properly. There are other apps out there, some free, which make this calculation properly. I would suggest that you do not use this feature if the runway you go into has a displaced threshold. Make the calculations yourself. Someone is going to get hurt.

Great Support. ForeFlight is so rich with well designed content that there is a ton of stuff that I’ve only begun to be familiar with, but we all know that. What I did not know was the level of support available. I recently inadvertently deleted a flight track and couldn’t see a way to restore it. I decided to contact support for help but had low expectations. I had a response almost immediately and my track was restored right away. I figured it would take several days or a week if I ever got a response at all. I was blown away. Their customer service is by far the best I have ever seen on anything. David

Going downhill quick. I have been using ForeFlight for about 8 years! Excellent platform? At least it used to be. But as large companies get bigger they lose sight of some of the conveniences. I would like to think I helped our company go to ForeFlight for EFB,s, simple easy, but Now days it is gotten so convoluted in its evolution, it often crashes and takes longer to use. Some of this is our company’s fault for not keeping the iPads updated with the latest iOS. still I often wonder when you have a perfect platform and everything is working great why mess with it! It’s lost its quickness, now every time you press a letter you got a wait for the iPad to finish it search before you compress the next one. Most of it crashes I have seen are on the weight and balance. As a pilot I don’t have the option of updating the iPads to the latest iOS. Doesn’t do me any good to send in a crash report for the aircraft I am no longer working on the iPad stay with the aircraft

Excellent software, excellent support. Learning to fly isn’t cheap, so for the first couple of years I passed on the added cost of a ForeFlight annual subscription. Seeing so many fellow pilots using it and raving about it changed my mind, and I’m glad I did. Extremely well-designed software that streamlines every aspect of flight planning and navigation. Customer service is excellent also ... Chris helped me realize that a powerful feature (glass cockpit instruments) was available with my basic subscription. Now I’m seriously considering upgrading to get even more incredible features. Give it a try... you won’t regret it.

Foreflight is a game changer for military flight instructors. I’ve been an avid ForeFlight user for about 3 years now. I’ve used it on deployment, at home, and as a flight instructor for the military’s newest Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard aviators. Without a doubt, I can say this product has made me a better aviator and flight instructor. Between the situational awareness the product provides, the ability to see and plan for weather, or just being able to flex when your fly goes awry, Foreflight has consistently given me piece of mind. At this point, I pretty much consider it essential equipment every time I strap into the aircraft.

Unbelievable Support. I was filing an IFR flight plan using ForeFlight and was having an issue with an error related to the aircraft configuration settings. I decided to fly VFR and pick up a clearance if I needed it near the destination. As I was pre-flighting the Cirrus, I received a call from ForeFlight Support who saw that my flight plan had an issue. They were simply amazing in helping me get the aircraft settings squared away. One click and the flight plan was on its way and I was on my way IFR. I ended up shooting an approach in actual at the destination. Thank you ForeFlight for simply unbelievable support!

We use this daily!. We fly 12 to 18 hours per week with ForeFlight and Stratus 2. ForeFlight has come along way since it’s introduction with synthetic vision, excellent integration with Stratus and so much more. I did get concerned with the previous version as we started having multiple crashes on two different newer iPads daily. We do load multiple waypoint and it seemed like that might have been a factor? I always make sure my iPad has plenty of open SSD space and the newer iPads have 2GB or more RAM, so I wonder if the software rolled out too fast? We’re also very careful about not updating the OS until the all clear is given. I just hope ForeFlight’s team slows down a little on all the bells and whistles. It’s much more crucial for the product to work flawlessly versus having 3D views of airports / etc. All in all ForeFlight is the BEST aviation App on the market and their team is obviously awesome at coding. My concerns and comments here about previous crashes are only because we’re addicted to ForeFlight and never want to see it burdened with issues. The new version seems to be more stable with only the rare crash. It does open back up in seconds right were you left off. Keep up the good work. Thanks ForeFlight!

The support for this product stinks. I have used this product for years. When I finally needed support and requested someone contact me all they did was send email after email for days. When you’re flying a plane and need the product no excuse for days of emails. I provided my phone number and their best answer was very busy at an industry show. They change the product and suddenly you don’t understand how to use it (just before a flight) and when you request that they explain it they just send you to the next email and the next link. After having used it for so long and paying for it for years and years and years you would think they would have the courtesy to contact you after you beg for help. Very disappointed. SJHowell

universal. this app is designed to cater for pilots that fly around the center of the known universe the mighty USof A and has very little application for other areas as they obviously are of very little importance

Awesome. Downloaded it and used the resources in it to study for, get charts for, plan and fly an license renewal and instrument renewal in Australia after having not flown in that country for 7 years. It was so great and convenient, well worth the money. Am now using it to prepare for my FAA stuff. Great app!

NEED AUSTRALIAN SUPPORT. Good app but it does not have a comprehensive Australian database. Also, it not not approved as an EFB by the regulator CASA.

Useless with no Australian suppot. Useless with no Australian data or charts. When will we see support for Australia?

Not a RW pilot, Just a Simmer. As a simmer, it satisfies all my objectives. Admittedly, I do not use the advanced weather features and other facilities eagerly sought by rw pilots. I am from Australia, however, I use the US Charts, primarily, California. That’s because I used “PilotEdge” which I consider a unique service. Flying thru LA Airspace is pretty daunting and being able to look ahead and identify your location and restrictions makes things that much easier. That was the first reason why I subscribed to the basic service. Another reason is the clarity of display - irrespective of the zoom level ... great for guys who are getting older faster than their aircraft taking off (me). The third reason is everything is at your fingertips - all the charts imaginable and the highlighting facilities that exist. The fourth reason is the SUPPORT service. This is really something. Ask a question and presto you have an answer. I bet some of the staff live down under. I use FF on FSX and lately on Xplane 11 in conjunction the Reality GTN. They compliment each other admittedly with quite a bit redundancy. Price wise - happy. Almost forgot - taxiing thru a complex maze in a large airport is a breeze. Five out of Five. Charles Abela

Please update with Australian charts. With Australian charts this would be a great app

No use.. Probably a great app, but has no data for Australia, making it useless here.

Thank you for Australian support.. It is great to see Australia now fully supported. Works very well. Many thanks.

No Australia. So you get the review you deserve for providing it here.

Great Application. I use this all over the world. Fantastic tool.

Expired account. It would be a great idea for foreflight to provide 30 day trial… my trial expired 2 or so years ago before the Australian updates occurred.

Got it out of curiosity, will renew my subscription. I can’t really give a short description of everything it can do, just get the trial and play around. But some things I really like it for: - for unplanned stops at strange airports, two clicks is way faster than flipping through a book looking for the right aerodrome page - I like paper charts, but for night flying it is easier to see some details on screen than on paper (under the red light) - Quick estimation of en route time On a customer service note: I requested a feature update and they announced an update a reasonable time after. For those with Bluetooth headsets, hearing “Holding short runway 23” is nice extra touch.

Great app great company Thanks!. Followed and used ForeFlight now for years and really love this company!

ForeFlight METARs and TAFs not updating.... Recently while using the latest version of ForeFlight I’ve noticed there’s been a problem with the airport METARs and TAFs. They do not update to the most current report while connected to internet. I know this as I’ve checked by going to the aviation weather web site by Nav Canada and see under the METARs that the latest report is viewable. While on ForeFlight it’s showing the previous hours weather report or sometimes the report of a few hours past. I’ve tried restarting the app and turning off the iPad or IPhone; however no luck. Things to note: I’m currently running the latest IOS: 13.1.2 on both IPad and IPhone. As well ForeFlight has the latest software version 11.8.1 Please resolve this as it’s a great app otherwise. However currently having to pull up safari to look up the METARs is both inefficient and ineffective.

This app is excellent. unfortunately im cancelling my paid sub. please understand Foreflight, i love your app. However due to the emboldened cancellation of parler by apple, a non censored version of twitter, i will not be able to purchase or use any apps through thier platform. I hope i can return to your wonderful app one day theough a non apple and non google platform. thnx it was great until apple started censoring according to thier ideals.

The best app for flying. Foreflight is hands down the best app for flying. Customer service is the best too. 10/10

Amazing app!. Any plans to make a “simulator only” version for less cost? A lot of us playing simulators (Infinite Flight, MSFS, etc.) would be all over this. Sounds like a creative revenue stream for you all! Cheers!

Perfect flight assistance software. I flying in Ontario, Canada. I like this software very much. Make my flight more convenient.

Awesome👌. As an Instructor I do recommend Fore Flight to everybody outhere in the sky. 👌👌👌

Unbelievable service from the support team. The support team at ForeFlight notice that I had made an attempt to file a flight plan. They send me an email asking how they could help. Before I send them a question by email they were trying to reach me and were available to resole my problem. That’s a five stars level of service. Congratulations to all the service team at ForeFlight. Jean Turpin Ottawa, Canada

Great app even better support system. The most intuitive and full featured app for pilot's. Beyond that their staff is constantly at the ready to help wherever needed. S/O to Todd on the pilot support team for helping rectify an issue I had uploading my logbook.

Needs improving.... Not worth the subscription fee for Canadians. If it supported flight planning maybe. Wind info on route planning is suspect. Pretty much a weather checking and route distance tool and those apps can be found for free.

Wonderful app and top-notch support!. Returning to flying after a long absence, I had to take a deep breath when I launched the app for the first time. This app is a must-have for anyone leaving the pattern. And in the three weeks I have been using the app they have added several new features. Their webinars are enjoyable and informative and their support team a) knows the app, and b) responds in minutes. 5-plus stars!!!

Needs Canada.. Just needs Canada maps. Otherwise it's awesome.

Put better Canadian maps on it!!!!!. Ill do 5 star when i see better canadian maps on it but the app is still awesomr!

They finally fixed it!. My company pays ForeFlight lots of money to use their product. We fly in western Canada and their service is invaluable to our ops. That said it took 2 years! To fix an issue with their radar picture. Their customer service needs some work especially for the price! Thanks for finally fixing this simple issue that only occurred with your radar image and no other provider like windy or Nav Canada.

Canada. When are Canadian VFR charts coming!??.. That's the only thing missing... Until then the Canadian subscription is way over priced.

Ever since the update the Canadian data is gone!!!. Thanks for nothing!

Long time Canadian pilot fan. I have been a ForeFlight user since 2010 and I have watched it develop into the most powerful tool kit I use for flying. It is my electronic flight bag, flight planning, inflight moving map and weather, and flight logging all in one app. I fly mostly in Canada and sometimes in the USA and it works great in both places.

Great program, however---. Not without some problems. Canadian subscribers should be aware that the Canada version does not have an Ontario sectional. You have to purchase the US version to get the VFR sectional covering Ontario. The response to any problem was swift and complete. WMP

Now a great app with Cdn VNCs!. Highly recommended

Must have for both GA and Commercial. I held out till after my PPL to get this and it has been life changing. Has made planning and navigation so much easier (VFR especially and IFR as well) and virtually impossible to get lost. I have been using Foreflight for a year now before finally giving it a review on the App Store, but my first true test of ForeFlight was for my 300NM where we hit unforcasted fogwalls or sudden TCs (on the PNW) and had to fly diversions to diversions. Luckily both of us had a copy of foreflight that let us navigate safely around the cells and avoid smashing into mountains. Everything from maps, performance planning, weight and balance as well as a very detailed logbook that is backed up online automatically if you set it. If you’re able to get the Stratus ADS-B attachment as well, then you may have one of the most advanced aviation GPS available to civilian and GA use. It will also automatically record your flights for later review and time keeping. Very handy if you’re like me and forget to mark “wheels up” and “touch down” times. There has been many landmark innovations in the world of commercial and Military aviation but this is definitely one that covers all fields including General Aviation and has probably single handedly made it safer for everyone in the air. Thank you iPad Pro 9.7” (not the mega newspaper looking one) w/ Apple Pencil

Not very canadian friendly. This is app was very disappointing. Especially since I realised that canada was completely put aside and ignored

X-Plane. Please... would you keep in mind that there are some user that would like to use your software only for Flight simulator and do a special price for them and not like 35$ a month but 35$ for life. You could get many user like this that you could not have acess... and mabe they will pilote for real some day and will pay the big price cause they will use it to make there buisness. Please.... give acess your software to those who will grow up with it. Thanks

Essential. As a relatively new private pilot, I can’t say enough how much I love this app. It’s my flight planner, weather app, EFB, safety net, checklist, and so much more. Easily one of the best apps I pay for.

Worth buying. I am so hppy to have. Everything gets so much easier

Missing a lot for Canadians. This app is still missing about 50% of the functionality if you are in Canada. No detailed charts, radar, flightplan submission etc. Nothing really has changed since the first version that would make me want to subscribe. At least there is a trial so I didn't waste 70 bucks like the first foreflight

Indispensable!. I’ve been using ForeFlight for a few years but on the weekend its value really shone. Long cross country to Ottawa through heavy IFR. With a Sentry Mini ADS-B receiver I could pick up the US weather feeds giving high resolution views of the CB cells to my south along with updated TAFs and METARs taking stress off a busy flight on top of the usual traffic information. A remarkable app and remarkable technology.

Supportive of Student Pilots. As a student pilot cash is tight, and with a check-ride planned across the boarder, ForeFlight graciously gave me a temporary one week Canadian/US activation. Thanks a ForeFlight.

No good for Canada. Not worth paying for with the lack of Canadian content.

Excellent service. I had a problem with some User Waypoints which were essential for my work and within 27 minutes of writing the support staff they came to my rescue. Truly excellent service!

Subscription?. Give me a break. Says free, then you need a subscription to even try it. Get COPILOT, at least they are not sneaky

Positive Review. Josh C was amazing help to me today. He actually tracked me down as I had filed a flight plan incorrectly and FSS had blamed ForeFlight. I was the one who made the error in my filing and had no idea. He phoned me a number of times, emailed and finally tracked me down to teach me what I did wrong and to be aware when filing my IFR flight plans. He also recommended 2 ForeFlight training videos. Now what would the world be like if all companies had this kind of dedicated customer service. I’ve always thought ForeFlight is the greatest app ever created and they hire only A team players. This is what makes a superior product and service. It’s a must have for all pilots at all levels.

Great Support Team!. As a long-time canadian user of Foreflight I have seen continuous improvements in functionnality and ease of use. Now It is a formidable pilot tool for everything related to flight and more, second to none in the field. Today I want to comment on great support that I experienced on any problems arising from my mobiles or PC use of this great apps. All this really contribute to more safe and enjoyable flying. Good Job Foreflight!

Best app on the ground and in flight. Also an outstanding customer support. Any question is answered in a timely fashion in addition to many very useful tutorial videos. Data is always updated. Keep up the good job.

Past metars?. Would it be possible to include metars going back 3-4hrs? Actual historical wx info to compare with taf. Seeing hourly trends is incredibly useful. Just entertaining an idea that may be useful. Cheers.

No complaints...awesome App. It’s the best copilot a pilot could have.

Help all the way.. Appreciated the info that finally corrected some misinformation I had been given. Not only was information helpful but also the suggestions of the next steps to solve my original problem. The ForeFlight crew went beyond the usual helpfulness. J. C.

Great support from Team Foreflight. I am a new user of Foreflight and today received wonderful support from Rachel. I had issues with signing up and then signing-in. Rachel was patient, kind and knowledgable about the product and iPads. She stayed with me till my issues were resolved. Thank you Rachel. I look forward to using the product. Dr. Adrian Cooper.

Great app but NEEDS UTM. You guys need to add utm support ASAP to be a full navigation app

From the ground looking up…. I’m giving this app only four stars because it doesn’t come with an aircraft to install it in! About the same time airlines we’re using iPads instead of “Brain Bags”…I retired. With mixed feelings, I gave op my 747-400 left seat for a rocking chair on the front veranda…mind you, it came with an ocean view, ( my reward for 26 thousand incident-free hours). I’m mentioning this only as some qualification to this review. You see…I’ve never had the privilege of using in on an actual flight! I didn’t want to give up flying but before I sorted out the many options In owning an aircraft.. I medicaled out. I had however purchased a years subscription to ForeFlight and in that year I put the app through it’s paces (as much as you can without leaving the ground) and honestly…I couldn’t find any serious anomalies". If I had had this software when I was flying…well…maybe I wouldn’t have as many grey hairs. And, not only that…but when I messed up and didn’t cancel the subscription at the end of the year….! The support team answered my plea with a refund. Thanks Todd and your gang. Gary

Quick Response. I must say the Support Team at ForeFlight are quick to get back to you with good resolutions and links to more support. I wrote to them on a Saturday evening at 8pm and I had an email reply when I woke Sunday morning. Thats pretty good service.

Real pilots only. If you don’t use ForeFlight, you shouldn’t be in a cockpit.

Stored route function needs improvement. Foreflight is an essential flight tool. But it is very weak in storing favorite routes or preplanned routes or alternate routes between airport pairs. There is no way to create folders, or to edit a route without creating a new route. It is a fine tool for planning a flight to take place right now, but poor for multi-leg trip planning.

Canadian flying with ForeFlight. I fly in Alberta and BC, with the odd cross border flight to USA. Love the new airspace shown on profile view, so I know the height of class C above me, and can plan to go through/ around / under. Great for planning through mountains. I like I can enter just departure and final Destination, then drag line around mountains, or drag to airports or highways and I get a detailed course to follow. Can turn on and off the radar weather or satellite overlay. At the. End of the flight I just enter aircraft ident and passengers and the logbook is done. (I still keep a duplicate paper logbook just because.) I fly a few aircraft, and in seconds I can tell the time, fuel burn, etc in either and decide which will match the mission best. Weight and balance is straight forward, except for fuel burn which needs to be manually entered, not automatically from the entered flight plan as I would expect. Overall a great flight planning and in-flight tool. I connect to my cell phone to get the weather and real-time satellite overlay when needed. I use a iPad Pro which has a built in GPS. Sometimes I also take along a Stratus and then also have the attitude, and some commercial ADSB traffic.

Fabulous Product and Support Team. Most impressed with the flight planning tools, the incredible support team, timely responses to questions, and the team really listens for feedback. Highly recommended! Zenith CH200

Watch. Need more info displayed on the Apple Watch. Check out Aerovie. Also update for the iPhone X screen.

Great support. I’ve been a Foreflight user for several years. From time to time I have questions about app features or how to do specific things. The Foreflight support team is nothing short of fantastic. Responses and help are always very quick. Great app.

No iwatch. Not compatible with Iwatch anymore 😩

Better than high expectations. Got this for the intention of commercial heli use with an iPad Pro instead of buying a new Garmin high end remove-able gps. Still very new to me and I am learning more all the time but tried it on a few flights and was quite impressed. Some big positives so far: -Having all Canadian Vnc maps, easy to get to information on airports, and all of my company documents or personal documents saved on here for in flight reference is amazing. -found out how to add layers or mass import gps locations from google maps or earth that we already had created was way too easy and saved me so much time for flight planning. Overall happy for the price so far, excited for continuing this trial

Great App & Great Support !. I fly in the USA and Canada mostly IFR .Foreflight is great to file for international flights . It is very user friendly , however I have occasionally needed assistance , and never disappointed in the quick and helpful response from the Foreflight support team . I have used other Eflightbags over the years , Foreflight is the best all around. Jamie

Free 30 days trial offer is misleading!. What is the point if the free trial if the application you receive is unusable? A friend recommended the app to me, so I though I’ll give it a try. To test if ForeFlight is right for you, you want to test it in flight, right? And you need charts while flying. BUT this is exactly what you have no access to - the offline charts! Thanks for the most dangerously misleading trial offer on the AppleStore! I’m glad I noticed that the CA charts didn't actually download before heading to my tomorrows 500NM flight! With you misleading offer you put peoples life into danger! Shame! Two stars because other people say it is useful for them. Unable to verify this myself so far.

Best EFB for flying GA. ForeFlight is simply the best and makes flying so much simpler and more fun. Being able to plan/file/brief/do everything in a beautiful and easy to use app is amazing. Even for a plane with a G1000, having foreflight and the iPad is still a great help. I find myself using it even when not flying for weather and such. Only thing I don’t like is that many new features are exclusive to the $300 a year plan, but I can overlook it.

A great start but hold on to your Garmin!. Foreflight is the best of the iPad apps, but still not the full service go-to navigation device. I'll up my rating to 5* when bread crumbing is added so that a pilot can find his way out of a canyon when the weather closes in. This is a valuable safety feature and found on Garmin. Foreflight has been promising it for years but never delivers. They think logbook enhancements are more important than safety if flight items!

Amazingly complex yet easy to use. ForeFlight has become an indispensable flying aid, despite already having a glass cockpit in my plane. I often use it during flight to make small changes to my fight plan and then push it up to the Garmin. The only time I really put it away is just before landing. On the ground, I use it to check weather for the day or future flights, plan flight segments, watch other planes’ approaches into new airports I’m considering, manage my logbook... I can’t even imagine doing without ForeFlight.

Never leave home without it!. Having been involved with the FAA in the first major airline to allow use of the Ipad with Jeppesen TC and FD Pro and then switching to using Foreflight after I started my retirement job flying corporate with Foreflight I can say I absolutely love foreflight. Much better app than JeppFD pro. As an airline pilot we operated with a lot of support from dispatch, ground crews etc….. Now flying corporate Foreflight pretty much does it all. I am anxiously awaiting the Runway analysis for our King Air 350i!

Most powerful app I’ve ever used. ForeFlight is truly the cream of the crop. I have only been a pilot for a short time but this app quickly became essential to my daily training life. You name it, it can do it. The ForeFlight team is constantly updating and adding new features to make this app the best it can be. Best of all, they listen to their users. Every change I have seen them make has been clearly with pilots in mind.

Support with foreflight issues using a MAC. I had problems loading foreflight with my MAC, reason why I sent a mail to the customer support of foreflight. I received an immediate reply (not later than 5 minutes after sending my issue) with the first trouble shooting steps. It took me 2 further mails and not more than 2 minutes and the problem was solved. Great and fast support, easy to understand and to follow trouble shooting steps! Highly appreciated, thank you EPP

Easiest app to use. Absolutely without a doubt love ForeFlight and recommend it. I recently switched from using multiple different flight software’s and nothing compares to ForeFlight. It’s super user friendly especially in the clouds when conditions can cause task saturation. For a guy that flies airplanes and helicopters I appreciate adding landing zones on the map without much effort or complication. Another helpful feature is being able to zoom in on any particular airport on the sectional to see the Airport diagram.

FF has changes the aviation industry for the better. I started flying before FF was around. Even before the tablet was widely used. I took a break for 15 years. When I started flying again FF was mandatory for my flight school. And it should be. It makes everything anton easier. From Wx planning to logging flight time. ThankYou FF for helping us aviators fly safely in a most convenient manner. Keep up the good work.

A MUST HAVE. I am 15 years old and am a student pilot. Foreflight is an absolute must have when it comes to flying. I tend to use the charts, terrain maps, weather radar maps, and vfr sectionals. It includes basically everything you could ever ask for and more. I use the charts section all the time and use it to even fly in the sim when I am not in real life. Everything works perfectly and there is just so much to it.

Best customer service. ForeFlight is the best thing out there. Created from a pilot’s perspective it has everything you always wanted in an app, if it doesn’t, tell them and I bet you’ll see it come online. Account holder for 9 years I’ve seen it grow and adapt to stay ahead of the industry. Customer service is top-notch. Josh C. just helped me out big time with (user error) filing issues. Whether you’re a student pilot, ATP or military, this is the program you need.

New radar. Definitely a step back and in the wrong direction with the new radar. The old radar was so much better in so many ways. Lowest tilt is missed also. I have both ForeFlight and garmin pilot. This is making me reconsider my ForeFlight subscription. I will say ForeFlight has been responsive in the past, hopefully they read these comments and make a change for the better. I’m a professional pilot and use the app daily, please bring back the old radar, or at least let your long time users know why the change was made in the first place!

Great support. Have been using this app for almost 10 months, it has been an indispensable tool and can’t see myself flying without it. The best part of any app is it’s support team and the team from ForeFlight are amazing, had a small issue with setting up a profile and Todd responded amazingly fast to resolve what turned out to be my fault, a big thank you Todd and the team.

Best EFB on the market. I have never used an EFB before so I tested about 3-4 different products before purchasing Foreflight. I tested Foreflight last and it was clearly heads above the other products. Once I started using FF and I found it easier, more comprehensive and far superior to all of the other products (including Garmin's product). Additionally, FFs support is bar none the best support I have ever received from any company. They are truly dedicated to my success as a pilot.

Electronic Logbook Support. After finally switching, all in, to Foreflight’s electronic logbook, I lost an electronic log entry for a BFR. It appeared like some kind of sync error. I contacted ForeFlight support and after several troubleshooting emails back and forth, they were able to recover the missing signed log entry. Now, not only do I enjoy the benefits of using an electronic logbook, but I have confidence that I will receive excellent support when I need help or encounter problems. Thank you ForeFlight Support!

Not my favorite aviation EFB app. After subscribing for three years, I decided to let it Foreflight go. My preferred EFB app is Garmin Pilot, which is my go-to app for planning and in flight. It offers every feature that I find useful in Foreflight but is more intuitive for me. I also continue to subscribe to FlyQ, which is the simplest EFB app to learn and use, in my opinion. Finally, I also use FltPlan Go, which isn’t as slick as the others (though now that Garmin bought it, who knows?) but is FREE and even includes features, such as geo-referenced approach plates, that you have to pay extra for in Foreflight.

Fantastic App. FF is by far the best app for aviation, just when I’m not sure if it will have a certain feature, low and behold they have it. The support team for FF is by far the best, they are soooooo quick to respond with such detail it is amazing. I’m only a student pilot , so I’m sure I have asked some really basic questions, but they answer them all without hesitation. Keep it up FF, I can’t imagine what you have in store for us pilots in the future. :) Thanks Mark

Multi platform use is a mess. I bought Pro. If I begin a project like creating a checklist on one tablet, then finish that project later on the other tablet, foreflight deletes my work. I entered an entire checklist including procedures. Now entering it again for the THIRD time. No support number to call. No live chat support. I would give one star but I do feel that this app is a great tool for flight. Just not well enough matched to other apps that have great tutorials and auto save features to protect the new user. For the cost, this app should have much better developing behind it.

A Comprehensive EFB. I’ve been a ForeFlight subscriber for years and the app has grown exponentially in its functionality. The app is packed with features and there are numerous training aids and tutorials available to help you get the most out of it! One of the strongest aspects of ForeFlight is their strong customer support team! They are easy to access and they get back to you quickly with the answers or solutions you need. I am better prepared and more situationally aware when flying with ForeFlight!

Geo reference not appearing on some approach plates... Thanks to Albert and his quick response he explained how I had not selected all the states to be up dated that was the root cause of my problem. If I had use the pack feature it would have insured that all the information concerned on that flight path would be up dated....he also took time to explain why the Stratus / Sentry makes sense as a back up attitude indicator in the cockpit...He was a big help In resolving my issue along with all the good information .....Can’t thank him enough. Bob

Helpful Instructor Tool. I usually recommend a subscription to my younger students. There is an average of 40 years age difference between me and the student. I have been away from paper training for about 2 years now. ForeFlight is intuitive. The students usually come in to flight training with tablet knowledge. They seem to use electronic reading devices rather then carry around books. ForeFlight has made it easy to reference a chart case full of resources to fly. I like the interactive component of ForeFlight logbook and charts and the performance calculations. It was a steep learning curve for me but I persevered. Kudos to ForeFlight.

Huh. You would think foreflight is the ultimate aviation app until you face the reality when you see the simple missing features or the poor performance such as you can't have the option to add multiple airport along the route during the weather briefing, instead foreflight automatically force whatever, is this safe? And, while airborne, the track route is covering the airport weather status, huh, how safe is this? No way to add multiple alternates. There are other things as well. Anyway, I am still using foreflight but also use few other apps, hopefully foreflight will listen and fix these issues before permanently being abandoned by users.

Great could use some minor additions. I’m a huge fan of ForeFlight and I believe that it is the best aviation app out there. They consistently add new features and make flying extremely efficient. However I and I’m sure a lot of other people would love to see minor additions here and there. I love to the logbook and I use it as my primary but I’d love to be able to see in a map all the places that I’ve been to. As well as be able to print my logbook in a vertical mode, not necessarily always in landscape.

Amazing support early on a Saturday morning. Struggled to decode an obscure METAR RMK section at 0530 on a Saturday morning. Though FF doesn’t yet decode the RMK section, Zach responded within an hour and a half, decided for me, provided me the complete glossary doc from NWS where he worked prior to FF writing these, and then provided even greater detail into the weather conditions that typically generate UP designations. FF support started out great all those years ago, and somehow has continued to improve from that high bar since. Super job folks, and thanks!!

Great product and keeps getting better. I started using this app about a year ago when I started my flight training. Transferring my hours over from my old log book was a bit of a pain but I’m really glad I did. Once you have everything loaded in the app monitoring your currency requirements, log book totals, weight and balance, and flight planning is so much easier and accurate. I love this app.

Albert’s the Man. The wonderful thing about ForeFlight is the great tech. support. When you have questions, simply email tech support and they will answer your question with either an email or a phone call. When I added Sentry to ForeFlight, Albert answered all my questions about subscriptions, installation, and operation. After a trial flight, Albert spend 50 min. answering all my questions. ForeFlight is the best investment towards my flying safety and enjoyment. Henry.

I’m a better and safer pilot with ForeFlight. I’ve used his app since 2012. This is the best thing to be made available to the aviation community since the invention of GPS navigation. It takes so many complex things associated with flying an airplane and puts it all inside one intuitively designed app. It’s like sticking a G1000 in your iPad for a few hundred bucks. I take ForeFlight on every flight and I definitely feel I’m a better - safer pilot with this platform. PPL/MEL/Instrument

Technology, support, timeliness. I’ve had a subscription for just over a year. I find the app indispensable. I recently flew to Mexico. I ran into a ForeFlight pilot support rep in the airport. He was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We exchanged contact information and have become friends. It’s interesting that great companies develop great products and hire great people. I now use pilot support weekly. I email questions and always get prompt, friendly and helpful replies. Good job ForeFlight. N77LC

Best flight App. If you are wanting to fly the skies with confidence, this is the app for you! I’ve been an avid user of ForeFlight since 2018 and by far one of the best things to happen for GA in a long time! From the app itself, to the support team. The support team was fast an efficient whenever something was needed, so don’t be afraid to email team foreflight! Would tell anyone that is flying General Aviation or wanting to learn to fly to get this app and use it! The app has so many benefits and truly is a fantastic creation. Thanks FF!

Great application and best support. I have been using ForeFlight since it became available for aviation. I do not fly without Foreflight. I am amazed to see the Foreflight team adding new and valuable features to the application continuously. The best part is that, when I have questions and send an email to Foreflight support, I receive responses very quickly. I became a CFI a couple of years ago, I recommend Foreflight to my students; they all enjoy this great application. Thank you very much Foreflight Team!

Pilot Support Team. Had several questions about upgrading - ok, more than several - concerning the various subscription levels and their features. Also had a problem surrounding an upcoming hiatus from flying that I must endure and the resulting process of having to re-subscribe after that period. The Pilot Support Team’s responses to my inquiries were quick, complete, and provided with great patience with my impatience. All of those concerns are now off my radar. Thanks to Robin and her team.

Indispensable. I began using ForeFlight as a student pilot in 2017. Aside from my kneeboard, it is the most important piece of equipment I fly with. If given the choice of having to fly without my Lightspeed headset or ForeFlight, I’d choose to take my iPad with ForeFlight every time. Charting, nav logs, flight planning, weather, airport information, frequencies, it’s all so simple. I struggle to think how difficult it would’ve been to be a VFR pilot without ForeFlight. Completely worth the $299 annual cost.

A truly phenomenal product that advances how we fly by leaps and bounds.. Rarely does a product have the changing impact on the way people approach a task as much as ForeFlight has had on aviation safety and operations. I believe It’s human centered approach is at the forefront of this effort and while ForeFlight itself is intuitive and easy to operate, the complexities that the ForeFlight team have managed not and are immense in nature. I look forward to continuing to fly with ForeFlight and look forward to what the future of the application holds.

Update: Class Bravo Borders (review). Latest version Be careful. In current version of Foreflight (on my iPhone) the class bravo rings fade away when you have a flight plan displayed. I haven’t tried it on my iPad yet. I heard from support and they were correct, I had recently changed a setting for the map “auto highlight airspace” and that was the culprit. All set now. Thanks Foreflight Support!

Amazing support!. Todd from the support team really helped and was wicked quick in response. I used Fore flight for a few years, and had amazing success. Being an army aviator, this app made me look smarter, made getting/updating flight plans and being ready for weather and other traffic. Once again, the support team was quick, helpful and very knowledgeable. Thanks Todd!!

Challenging billing and no phone support for urgent issues. They didn’t credit me for an account problem where I needed to purchase two accounts to get around their limitation of having two different email addresses for the SAFE discount. Got no responses from support while struggling with it over the weekend UPDATE: They credited my double charge back, and I had to change my email address at SAFE to apply the discount without shifting my subscription to a new account.

Simply Amazing. Today was my first serious day back in the IFR system in 11 years. What an amazing experience. I have used ForeFlight to fly VFR in 42 states in the last 9 years and never talked to flight service once and had better information to make decisions, navigate weather, avoid TFR’s and fly safelr than ever. After today, I can see how ForeFlight has forever changed navigating the IFR system. What the ForeFlight team has and continues to do for pilots is simply amazing!

Not the cheapest - but the best. Hard to penny pinch when flying - ForeFlight is worth the $. They take pride in improving - can’t say that about most app companies. Only they I would change is a tech support phone number like garmin. I know garmin is diversified and able to support the service - but would be nice in a perfect world. However they are responsive on email- but not the same in person as have a million questions... maybe a smart move on their part lol

Used to be outstanding. ForeFlight used to be absolutely outstanding in the way weather radar was depicted on the map, but for a leading edge, industry leader in electronic flight bag apps, the radar depiction is now a joke as compared to free apps. I have no idea how this important feature has been let to degrade as much as it has. I absolutely relied on near real time radar depiction of ForeFlight, but no longer can because of the incredibly poor fidelity. For a subscription-based app, this change from what it was is incomprehensible. Also, I see ForeFlight no longer offers a method to contact support- this application is starting to be sucked dry.

Best aviation app anywhere. I use ForeFlight Performance Plus both at work in my airliner and in my Bonanza. The weather presentation and the layout is MUCH easier to use versus what most major airlines provide their pilots. I cannot live without ForeFlight Mobile and will not fly without it. However, where ForeFlight Mobile really shines is with their customer service. They are incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and work you through any issue. I cannot recommend ForeFlight Mobile any more highly.

Support Fantastic. I’ve been a long time user and had a rare problem. I was unable to generate a pdf weather briefing on the mobile app. Last night I had a very good dialogue with app support describing the issue and trying to diagnose the problem. This morning they sent me an email noting they had solved the issue. As opposed to other companies, ForeFlight immediately responded to my problem and maintained the dialogue until it was fixed. Great job! I really count on Foreflight in flying my Cirrus and they continue to be the best!

Best Aviation App! Why no Apple Watch comp?. This is the best aviation related app ever created. I own Hells Canyon Helicopters. I make it a requirement that all my pilots have Foreflight. We have used this app for weather and flight planning for years! My only question is why the heck don’t they have a Apple Watch Version? All my pilots and office want this.... Get with the times Foreflight, make your app compatible with the watch! Outside of this complaint, I have none. Best Helicopter, commercial aviation, Private pilots, and general aviator’s app EVER created!

Airspace after latest update. I’ve been using the app since 2016, have always loved it. I noticed after one of your latest updates that airspace had been tinkered with a little bit. Before the update, every piece of controlled or special use airspace was always highlighted. Now, it’s only highlighted if my planned track is going through the airspace. Is there a way to make it so all the airspace is highlighted at all times?

ForeFlight and my GA Experience!. I began my flying back in 2010, signed up for ForeFlight shortly thereafter. Having logging almost 1,000 VFR / IFR hours since then, I have become an Advil user of ForeFlight. ForeFlight makes it easy to plan for a trip days in advance, then file IFR and provides to me a safety assurance of what is going on outside, to a high degree of accuracy that helps me make the Go / No Go, a route or time of departure change with confidence. ForeFlight has given me the foresight into flight planning.....

ForeFlight Mobile EFB App Customer Service, Editor Notes:

Logbook Time Setting: Decimal (N.NN) • Increase the precision of your flight time tracking in Logbook with a new Decimal (N.NN) option and reduce time discrepancies when converting from the HH:MM format. • The new format is available in Logbook > Settings > Entry Time Format alongside the Decimal (N.N) and Hours & Minutes (HH:MM) formats. Copy & Convert Coordinates • Easily view and copy coordinates for waypoints, airports, and more in any of ForeFlight’s supported formats, including variations of the standard degrees format as well as the MGRS format. • To view or copy a map element’s coordinates while it’s selected on the map, tap Coordinates in the Maps sidebar and choose from the six formats shown. • To view or copy a map element’s coordinates from the Add to Route window after tap-holding on the map, tap More on the right and then tap Copy to access the same list of coordinates.  • You can also view or copy an airport's coordinates from the Airports view by scrolling to the Details section of the Info tab, tapping Features, then tapping the Copy button next to Location to see the coordinate format. • Additionally, you can now paste coordinates of any format into different places within ForeFlight to convert them to your default format and display them properly, including in the Search bar and when using the Replace, Insert Before, and Insert After options after tapping any waypoint in your route. Pasting coordinates directly into the FPL Editor is not yet supported, however. • The Coordinate Formats menu also includes a link at the bottom to the appropriate Settings page to change your default coordinate format, in More > Settings > Units/Time > Coordinates. • These expanded coordinate functions are available with ForeFlight Performance and MFB One subscription plans. Military Flight Bag: Cross Point at Bearing • Like a virtual OBS, easily plan to cross any point at a desired bearing by specifying the bearing and leg length to add a new waypoint to your route. • Set up a crossing for any waypoint in your route by tapping the waypoint’s bubble in the FPL Editor and tapping Cross Point at Bearing, and for any waypoint not in your route by tapping it on the map and tapping More in the top-right to find the Cross Point at Bearing option.  • Enter the desired Bearing (in °M or °T) and Leg Length in nautical miles, or select from predefined lengths of 1, 2, 5, or 10nm, then tap Add to Route. This adds a new waypoint to your route that sets up the intended crossing, with relevant information included in the new waypoint’s name.  • Cross Point at Bearing is available with ForeFlight’s MFB One subscription plan. Runway Analysis: New Aircraft Support • ForeFlight’s advanced Runway Analysis product for turbine aircraft now supports HondaJet’s HA-420 Legacy, APMG, Elite, Elite S, and Elite II models, along with Daher's Kodiak 100 and 900, and additional Pilatus PC-24 serial numbers (501+).
