Major overlap with Scany. I bought Scany and a bunch of other net admin tools from the same author. While all other tools are great, I am somewhat disappointed the overlap of Deep WhoIs with Scany wasn't highlighted in the description. I would not have bought Deep WhoIs, had I found out in time that the information button next to the hostname in Scany already yields all the WhoIs results I need!

Ok, Needs MAJOR Improvment. I saw this app on AppsGoneFree(great app, you should get it) and so I said "Huh, This looks cool and legit", so I downloaded it. Says I live in Los Angels, but really I am on the East Coast. You even could've turned on location to make it say where you actually lives... That is all. You have the base of a great app, you just need more to make it amazing

Great job. Thus far I have bought both Scanny and DeepWhoIs and I love them both. I know I can run these inqueries myself, but for a minimal fee, these apps present the info I need quickly. So, good job to the devs and I give my recommendation to consumers/infophiles.

Very useful!. If you need to know quickly and accurately who an IP belongs to, or who owns a domain, and you don't have access to a computer, this app is like the diamond in the rough. No more calling your techies and asking them to look it up, having to repeat spelling and IPs while they wait on the response. No more sending an email and waiting on that response. Type it in yourself and go! Excellent time saver when visiting clients to troubleshoot, or when working out issues from within the datacenter with no crash cart nearby.

Get pro version!!. I don’t review a lot of products.. But I thought I’d jump up here and say, I use this a lot.. glad to support Mr P.. his product has given me quite a few insights and directions.. simple interaction and detailed outputs.. Thank you again!!

Does it's thing. I use it for my Whois needs.. Sometimes iPhones get funky. Sometimes you catch network traffic that makes you go "huh?". Or sometimes you see a domain name and go "really?". Or sometimes you see an IP and.... you get the point. This will suit your Whois needs.

A very good Whois tool. A good tool for looking up sites you might have questions about or that look questionable. It deserves five stars but I think the interface still needs a liitle more work. Just the same, best out there.

Dazedandkonfused. Its an awesome app. Ive tried multiple that do a mediocre job , but this one provides information beyond what is expected. You wont be disappointed! Just wish i had more thorough apps that gave me the same end point result.

nice but is missing.... Great app to do a whois lookup on the fly. I am, however, disapointed that there is not a function to search for other domains hosted on the same ip block as the one you search. This is handy for finding other sites a person may be hosting on their server. Sad to see this is not an included feature. Otherwsie does what is says it does.

Outstanding app. Rather than use Whois apps from different providers (Ripe which is really lousy, etc) this consolidates all so when my network is being attacked, I can quickly query who the attacker is.

Very goo. I love it. It gives me what I need quick and easy. I also like that it saves everything offline. There is a Whois function on the other apps by thus author. Some people may not need this app. Me I like it. I do wish there was also a scearch to see if that person hosts any other websites. Also maybe input information an it finds websites that person may host. Add those functions and this app will be 20/5 stars. Over all I love it.

What are we paying for. This app charges you for doing literally nothing.

Everyday tool for system security guy!. This is often very handy in quick response work when the suspect PC must be off the wire. Use liberally to prevent heart attacks and ulcers!

Excellent. I couldn’t believe it. This app simply works as it should and it works very well. For me, better than using sites online and you aren’t constantly bombarded with redirects and ads. Thank you!!

Cost me .99 to download. I use this app to investigate different IP’s related to my content. Yet once in awhile like tonight (New Years 2022) it stated I don’t have access! For something I pay monthly for. Something I can’t log in or even make an account. I find that to be a subversive behavior. So who has access then if users like myself can’t even register with the app? Who are you to tell me I have no access when nobody at your platform has credentials like I do? Nobody at your platform has legitimate records for CVE, penetration testing, beaten federal jackets, ranked in the top 50 of CVE tickets and user who seeks the truth. So tonight I deleted the app. This is the game you want to play cool. If making money is your business plan. Your not really making money when people who pay for the app walks away. So to those who like the ability to access information to vector data. I suggest you don’t use this app. I personally resent the fact you say I have no access, yet have zero ways to register for said services. So keep discriminated against “paying users” let’s see if you about anything other then role playing god.

Just like a desktop app!. I use this app at work to look up information for my job even.... love the update!

Finally. Something simple that works out of the box. Tried some other ones but were buggy when I turned off location awareness for the app. That does not effect this app (so far)

Great resource. Very useful when sorting out network or user issues with domains. Nice layout, interface, and fast and accurate. Very nicely done.

Works. It's a no frills utility, but it does what you need it to do. Fast and reliable, which is really all you need in a WHOIS app.

Deep Whois. I use it frequently as I move domain registration from one registrar to another. I can quickly follow the progress. It remembers the URLs of the domains currently of interest. This is a "just right" app for me. Thanks.

Able to counter a hacker.. Because a hacker was trying to get into my accounts, I saw emails that told me where it was coming from, and it gave me an IP address which is where this app came into clutch because I was able to to locate where it was able to link to my accounts, and from there I could block it.

Excellent tool. I use this tool while facing customers. It provides quick and reliable access to needed information, which helps in discussions.

This didn’t tell me really anything. So I got my own ip and it told my really nothing at all. It isn’t as advertised and doesn’t tell you any addresses or names or anything just says the address of their phone company and it’s name. Disappointed.

Gets used again and again .... This app is a faithful standby and gets used a lot. Remembers your searches which is nice. Very handy. Thank you!

Perfect, seriously perfect. This app does exactly what it says it’ll do. Also has a built in history option which is superb. Definitely added to the list of essential downloads.

Has Proven To Be Very Useful. This app definitely has proven itself useful over time. I most definitely would like to see an iPad version, and any other new enhanced version if that ever makes sense -- the person or people behind this app most definitely know how to make great apps.

Basic, capable. I wish the results could scale to fit the width of the screen; since they come back from the server in a monospace font, there's some left-right scrolling. I wish also that the input switched to the iPhone's URL-optimized keyboard when entering domain names. But it does do the job, and I'm grateful for the app.

Pretty good.. Dunno why they felt the need to call it 'deep', but it's a whois program. I've had no issues with it. The UI is intuitive and, at least to me, aesthetically pleasing. It saves searches you've done on sites, refreshes when asked, and allows them to be grouped. If you expect something other than whois, good luck with that, but I didn't, so five stars it is.

Great Handy App. Works great and has been coming very handy to test and verify server and ip information. Glad I decided to check it out and download it. It's been the best of any I've tried.

Best way to look for domain names without alerting a reseller!. I usually use sam spade, but this looks much nicer --and faster too! If you use a resellers' domain search, be prepared to lose that name to a "ghost" if you do not buy the name right away. Deep Whois is a great way to look for domain names without alerting a reseller! This is a Five Star App And A Five Star Developer!

very detailed + fast info. Gives detailed info about the owner of any domain name. You can see everything from the hosting company to the owner's name and address and phone number. But if they buy the privacy protection from their web hosting company for around $12/year, you can only see the name of the hosting company and no owner's info.

A really nice WHOIS tool. Can't go wrong with this app. I use it all the time to search for domain names. It's very responsive and attractive. Haven't compared it to any similar apps because it does its job so well.

One of the best network apps period. This really gets you out of the poo sometimes. Really, really handy if you deal with networks at all. Get it, it's cheap!

Deep Whois app. Very nice and simple Whois, but as for being deep, I had hoped that the IP assignments would be attached, or available to click through to. While a host can be searched by IP Address, the hostname lookup does not offer the inverse. Displaying the IP address assignments from a hostname lookup would make this app very close to perfect.
