Very good. Works for me. I am a soldier and have deployed, have mild tbi (traumatic brain injury) and have sleep problems and headaches because of it. This program works great for both. I always put in my ear phones before I go to bed and turn it on, I set it for 15 or 30 minutes. Even if I'm not asleep by the time it's finished, I feel like I don't want to move, take the headphones out and fall right to sleep. If I don't use it I could lay there for two hours trying to fall asleep.

Truly the BEST!!!. As a 54 year old man who continuously has to study for new financial regulatory exams, this app has been a true blessing. It allows me to concentrate on some “not so interesting topics” without losing my focus, which I typically can do easily. The app is designed cleanly and simple to use. I highly, highly recommend!!!!

What happened? Did the owners of this app change?. I agree with the reviewers who don't like the update. Something is weird. The entire layout and tone of the app is different. The descriptions of the sessions have been rewritten, and no longer include what frequencies the session uses -- (e.g. "begins at beta, slowly descends to theta, then delta, then back up to beta" - along with exact frequencies, like "541 hz"). The writing is not the same, phrasings are awkward and don't make much sense. I think the app changed owners?

Used to be good till recent update. ***Needs to work in background mode i.e. The track needs to work in conjunction with your own music or podcasts. Other apps allow this.**** Update August 2016: Took back a star ancestors the app is unusable without Internet. Update July 2016: The user interface was quick and easy earlier. Now that a list mode has been adopted it is little disconcerting. Earlier there were some options disguised as tracks which required you to purchase or download a new app. New version: the English text needs some work. Seems like it has been translated using Google translate. I have not encountered internet requirement as others have pointed out. Perhaps because I am still using the default tracks that ship with the app. This is a prime example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Thankfully no ads at least.

Appvertisement. Every open has a popup screen to go buy another app. App does function similarly to other similar quasi placebo style brainwave media apps. Any real temporary brain wave enhancement will be highly dependent on the audio delivery. I am concerned about the claim to boost IQ as a technicality of studying for an IQ test invalidates the test. A second run on a reasoning test should normally score a few points higher because the problems are no longer new. To be more correct, if app claim is true or not, intelligence should be removed from the offending label and replaced with reasoning. The track I listened to had a lot of tinkling water which, coincidentally or by design, has convinced me to do the same.

Great for Sunday's!!!. Great for relaxation after a stressful week!! Surely recommend....

Dark mode. This app could use a dark mode because the white background irritates my eyes.

GR8. All programs r free...no in-app purchases. I acquired the app for free as well, but perhaps it is not a free app anymore?!...or I lucked out and happened upon it while it was temporarily free. Regardless, even for a paid app, it is easy to use, provides a worthwhile amount and variety of brainwaves, and all you need to do is download them, which happens automatically the initial time you press play for each brainwave. Plus, there are adjustable settings for each brainwave, which consist of a slider for intensity of brainwave (volume, basically), and an on/off switch for ambient sounds that, when switched on, displays a list of sounds to choose from.

Outstanding! -by oooo oo. After years of suffering from Narcolepsy and Hypersomnia (sleeping 17 hours a day) I have finally found relief in your product Brain Tuner. All the "coffee" settings on competing products wouldn't do it. Only your "High frequencies" setting has kept me awake when normally I would be asleep, or craving sleep. Thank you so much for Brain Tuner. 5-stars

Great quality. I have many brain wave apps and this one is now my favorite. It has all the popular tones and more but by all means add more, also more background music would be great. I might have all this developers app and they are all just great easy to use apps. Favorite tone is the Schumann frequency for sure.

LOVE IT! Recommend it highly!!. Even the light version is great and a fabulous way to become introduced to entraining your brain and increase the amount of time your mind is in the alpha waves zone and your body is relaxed with its parasympathetic nervous system engaged! :) LOVE IT!

Really Works. Sometimes the tones drive my wife nuts, but I find that they actually do help me to concentrate, sleep etc. I use it a lot, and would consider other apps from this developer. Nice job!

Needs to be fixed. This app does not support the full height of iPhone XS Max. It needs to be fixed to get my attention. Deleted.

One of the few good apps that I have gotten.. It helps me get through most of what life throws at me. Stress, anxiety, insomnia, etc. Others say it is 'baloney'. I say 'to each his own.' 👍

Best brainwave tuner app!. I bought almost all brainwave tuner apps on iTunes store. This one is different from the others-many choices of tunes,flex time setting,detailed explanation on how to use the tunes,and most importantly, this app works!

Not that great. I used relaxation and meditation. These two different tracks lacked seamless looping. An interruption was audible during both plus I had timer set for 30 min and it stopped by itself after 4 minutes. My iPhone was fully charged so I have to believe it was the app itself. Please improve this or give me a refund. This is a load of 

Crashing. I do love this app, I find it really helps me fall asleep or ease my pain with migraines. BUT all of a sudden when I try to chose a new wave it says no connection and goes blank. This has also happened with my mothers app too. I can still listen to some of the waves because they have been favorited. However I paid $5 for this app so I expect to to work when I want to use it. Please fix this! It would have gotten a higher rating if it weren't for this issue! Update: it did start working for a little bit but then it's back to its old ways of crashing when you try and open up a new wave. Please fix it, what's going on???

I despise the update 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻. I cannot stress enough how much i hate the new update.. The fact that it now requires internet, just gets so much on my nerves. I liked that I could use it just to unwind whilst preserving my battery because it was offline. But now it has all these irrelevant features. And it's supposedly more convenient and over all "better" but it's totally the other way around. I like the older version way way more. I used to obsess over this app but now its a bye-bye for me..

I don't believe it but it works wonders.. I have myasthenia Gravis but this app is giving me energy and strength. I also have shaved minutes off the time it takes me to do a NY Times crossword. I have told friends and family about the app but nobody believes me, except my personal trainer who sees the results in my workouts. Great, great app.

Love it. Who knew? Someone recommended this. and it’s a great way to keep out other sounds and help you focus. Wheathrr it’s sleeping or reading.

Not seamless. The update info says the glitches have been removed, but I notice them. If you've got it on in the background while you're doing something else, you might not notice. But if you're using it for sleep induction or meditation, those disturbances are a deal breaker. They are particularly evident in the rhythm of the pulses, which is regular until a hiccup every few seconds. I want to like this app because it is easy to use, with good descriptions, good timer options, and a variety of binaural presets. And if the tones were seamless, I would use the app all the time and give it five stars. As it is, I will use it for things other than relaxation.

Fun app and I think it works.. I pull this app up when I need to concentrate on something difficult. Maybe it's the white noise effect of blocking out distractions or maybe it actually does what it says. I'm satisfied either way.

Stopped working. I love this app but it suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago. I have recommended it to many clients and am rather disappointed that it no longer works. Please provide an update to fix bugs ASAP. Several people have left reviews indicating the same problem but so far nothing seems to have changed. You have a great app when it works.

This App Is Amazing. Soothing, peaceful, calming, and it really works. Great for pain redirection, help falling asleep (especially if you have a racing mind) and bringing your stress level down so you can relax. I can't wait to listen to all of them!

Great Waves for your tuning need. Great App! The Calm Down and Dive Quickly and Deeply are Awesome, when I can't myself turn off at Bedtime. The Quick Mental Refresher is great while studying to stay focused at the task at hand.

What’s with the water in every track. Cool concept but dear god let people decide on the sound of waves etc. it’s completely over used and distracting.

Great App - Needs Dark Mode. I love this app and use it regularly. I typically use it at night when going to bed and find it helpful to fall asleep after. What's missing is a dark mode for those that don't want a bright white screen housing all the options

Actually works for me. Focus. Started using this today, and love it. Helped me get through a tough day of trying to concentrate on technical material I'm studying. Just the noise with nothing else, worked for me. I was done in record timing with no interruptions.

Decent but needs background run comparable with other music apps. The sessions are more like isochronic tones, however they do provide significant results. The background music or sounds is nice but lacks a variety. I would like to make a request with your next update to allow these sessions play while other apps are playing in the background such as any radio apps or comparable with apps like Brainwave Studio because when I run this app and also run one of my radio apps or sound apps, one of them shuts off the beats or music playing

Needs to multitask. One of my favorite apps when studying, very effective, although it needs to multitask, like when i need to listen to my class recording in my other app, brainwave tuner stops, i think it should continue since they have included a brainwave while listening.

Latest update ruined it. It was great before the latest update,after that the app keeps stopping... I think you're aware of that. Please fix it! P.s:the stars that I gave belongs to last version

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This app is so amazing! I love all the choices! I also love the new ambiances and the interface. I'm using dreamy right now, and I can barely type because of the fog in my head. I can't wait to see what they add next!

HEADACHE GONE!!!. The relief I found from headaches is non existent. I've tried all the pain killers one could imagine with no real relief. I tried this app only after sheer desperation and at first I wasn't sure if it was placebo affect or the fact I used it along with 800 MGS of ibuprofen,but my headache( haven't tried it on a migraine type head pain yet) was a goner!!! I've had multiple chances since that first pain to experiment without ibuprofen and the results have been almost always the same. AWESOME. The only issue I have,which is no fault of the developers, is that after the session ends and I take out the ear phones,my headache tends to come right back after 30 seconds. Not always,but more times than not. Anyway it still brings tons of relief when nothing else would work and for that I'm truly grateful. I am mostly grateful to myself for having an open enough mind to try anything. If your reading this and feel undecided about trying it out, take it from me,you will not regret it!!! HAVE AN OPEN MIND FOR ONCE ,ALL YOU HAVE TO LOSE IS A DOLLAR. ONE STINKIN' DOLLAR!!! Thank you to the man or woman who developed this life ( head) saver.

Doesn't work anymore. This was the essential app for me for a long, long time, and one of the most favorite, too. I loved it so much that wouldn't even hesitate paying a few bucks for it if it wasn't free. Now, with this new interface and all, I can't make it work. I systematically get a message about failed connection, even around the working wi-fi AND cellular data that is on. The Home tab loads occasionally but choosing an item from there just brings an empty page. And then, the only way to get out back to the original list is manually closing the app. Very frustrating. I hoped to reach my previous favorites but everything I had saved before was wiped up apparently. This is not understandable, really: why spoil such an amazing app and make it completely unusable? My only hope is that the developers will change it all back and soon. Otherwise, most of us will just uninstall it and mourn. If not already.

Wow!!!!. Either this really works or I am having some major placebo affect!!! I did learning 2 and I memorized something when I was really sleepy and I only read the thing once! I usually have to read something 10 times to just get 80% of it when I'm sleepy! But not now! This thing is the best!!!!!!!

Great App. I’ve been using this app for more than one year. Before brainwave tuner, I tried many similar brainwave technology based apps. But this is the only one that remains on my iPad. Many apps claim to have many powerful functions（For me they are too complicated and garish）. But this app is very easy to use, the interface is simple and elegant. Perfect way to concentrate/relax. I use this app frequently, and I am never disappointed. As a frequent traveler, I always use this app while traveling by plane. It's perfect for drowning out crying babies, concentrating on getting my work done, or just making it easier to catch a nap. The wide variety of waves are great depending on what I need to use them for. Also, because I live in an apartment, if my neighbors are being noisy while I am trying to sleep, the Sleep Induction wave is a God-send. Soothes me to sleep while drowning out the noise. Best $3 spent in a while.

Love it!. Perfect for studying, sleeping and feeling happier! Wasn't sure if it was just a placebo effect or what but it definitely works for me. I totally recommend it and will be buying the full version soon!

Very therapeutic. Awesome app. It has a beat for pretty much everything. Binaural beats are the natural way to heal.

Murder in the house if this gets used again!. What my wife told me would happen if it gets turned on ever again. And that was on the relaxation setting. I might try the energy setting...with the door open and my running shoes on.

Won't even open.... Screen went black when I clicked "open", pressing the Home button resulted in notification dialogue windows,and then.... nothing!!! It simply returned me to my apps screen. Reinstalled at least 3 times, but have given up. I wish programmers would check their work better so we don't end up having to be their testers!

Almost there.. Terrific app...thank you. I'd ask if you could please fix a a few things. First, at the end of each segment for headaches the volume turns up really loud, it's counter productive for a headache soother. Also, please allow for longer sessions, not just 30 minutes. And could you add more music and sound options to play in the background? Especially for headache sessions, the high pitches of pianos and birds etc are quite harsh. Thank you in advance.

I'm pleasantly surprised. Very effective app It actually does what it says that it can do. For me, anyway. This app has worked surprisingly well for headaches. I suffer from chronic migraines. When I’m able to stop a headache , it often doesn’t become a migraine.

Awesome. It works because I believe it works and is very calming. Unlike most other apps, it doesn't stop playing when minimized so I can combine the relaxing brain waves with my subliminal soundtracks

Beware - may have undesired side effects. I tried this and had a migraine 15 minutes later, the first one in probably a year. It seems pretty likely that the brainwave tuner experience bought on the migraine. This is relatively new medical technology. A smart phone app is not the right place for it.

App Crashes Upon Launch. This may be a very good app, but it's impossible to tell as it crashes as soon as you try to open it. Based on the earlier reviews, it's been doing this for several weeks without an update to solve the problem. Not a promising introduction to this app.

Love the iPhone version. However after seeing the download on an iPad, there are more background sounds available. Can you add those to the iPhone platform in a future update?

Great application for my meditation. Lots of selection, it makes a great background for my meditation and helps me focus on the binaural sounds.

Too much. I liked the old version better. It was simple and didn't have all these other extra pictures. Keep it plain and simple.

Learning Aid. Excellent app. It used to take me one hour to learning and remembering new words, now takes only a quarter of the time.

Works great. Used to have trouble falling asleep, especially HRM work is stressful and not enough time to take Ambien. This works great and I rarely need any other (pill) sleep aid.

Crashes when opened. Crashes when launched. Tried downloading several times thinking there might a problem during download. Still crashes. Really wanted to try this based on earlier positive reviews. Hopefully developers will fix the bugs. Using iPad gen 3 with iOS 9.2.

Not working anymore. This app is no longer working. I can't even select "send feedback" to report its not working, it just force closes on me! This needs to be fixed!!!!!

Needs seemless audio looping. This app is not effective in that most of the programs have a glitch in the audio looping. For relaxation or sleep induction, it provides more of a distraction or annoyance. The developers need some instruction on sound engineering.

Unbelievably non-functional. From app open screen, only "Dreamy" track can be played. Sending feedback crashes the app. Trying to play any track leads to a blank screen, from which only Dreamy plays. If I could give a minus rating I would. Customer support email address is dead - small wonder.

So Cool!!!. I usually have problems sleeping or lots of headaches 😒 but I turn the sleep introduction for 60 mins I started closing my eyes and fell asleep in 2 mins and waking up the next day confused😆😆😆😆

Brainwave. Loved this app while it worked. I used it every night to help me fall asleep. Now it won't do anything. If there was a problem with an update I wish they would fix it.

Wave sounds are a serious distraction. Going to get my money back. I bought this app for studying and The sounds are more of a distraction than anything else. It's impossible to concentrate with waves crashing in your ears. Remove the distracting nature sounds and stick to the basic binaural beats and white noise. This app is too interruptive. Even the white noise has stupid water waves sloshing onto a shore. C'mon!!!

So sad..... This is really a great app and I would have given it five stars because it does work great in regards to helping you get to sleep. However, because the app is unstable and repeatedly crashes (and the developers have yet to fix it) I can only give it one star.

Needs multitasking support. Would have rated 5 stars if it had multitasking support... I cannot listen to learning aid using this app and read something on my iphone :-(

Brainwave Test. Nice app to test your brain, it analysis your behaviour and mood. Doctor detect their brain frequency according this app and in the end they tell you all report..

Bad update. The app simply doesn't work. When I select a desired track I get a white screen and nothing is playing. The send feedback option simply crushes the app

Piece of junk. This app is the most annoying app I've ever used. It doesn't make you feel smarter or sleepier or more creative. It doesn't take your headache away either, in fact the high pitched ringing might just make you feel worse! Don't waste your time or $$ on this crap app. Just take a sleeping pill instead and call it a night.

Updated app not good!. Limited functionality! All tracks are in Binaural beats format. Popups appear when opening app! App turns off and can NOT be used in background while playing another (music/audio) app like listening to audiobooks or taped recordings like lectures 😞 Update 8/1/16: New update, menu changed & list view not available. REQUIRES Internet connection to work! What BS! 😡 Found out that it's an American subsidiary of a Chinese company in IL.

App WAS great until last update. The last update messed up a great app! It won't stay on when the screen turns off- so it's impossible to use to relax or help sleep or anything it was supposed to do because it keeps turning off! Discernable seam. This app would be much better if the sounds were "seamless.". There is a definite beginning and end to most of the audio from where the loops begin and end. Noticing the loops makes it a little difficult to completely relax.

No longer works😔. I will just echo what others have been saying about this app - i used it all the time and loved it. Now i can't get any sound out of it - just blank screens and a necessity for an internet connection just to get to the blank screens. I'll check on it again, maybe, if i remember. For now, i'm off to find something that works.

Not Bad -  (4 Stars). I don't believe this app was worth paying $3.00 for, but it works to an extent. It may just be the fact that I have ADHD. (:
