Incorrect tracking. I use this app almost daily, mostly on the same walk, and just recently it doesn’t track 1/2 the walk. It cuts off at a random point during the walk and picks back up whenever it wants. I start the app and it stays in my pocket, unbothered, for the entirety of the walk. I walked 2.5 miles today, the same route I do almost daily, but the app only tracked .54 miles and 51 steps. It stops tracking at one point and picks back up whenever it wants. Other times I’ll start it on my Apple Watch and get a totally different outcome than what I was getting before too, but more accurate than using the phone app. App has been updated and it’s been worse since the update. Disappointed I have to find a new tracker because I’ve used this one for years without a problem.

Workout Goals Nor Syncing. I’ve enjoyed this app a long time. But seems I may need to find a better one soon. First, it recently logged me out all kinds of random and I had no way to recover old profile because I had long forgotten the password for such a rando app that probably doesn’t need freaking password protection. Second . . . the dashboard area where your weekly workout goals are is not syncing whatsoever. I’ve workout multiple times since setting the goal but it doesn’t recognize them in that area only. Kinda annoying, I wish it would just work properly. Everything is fine but still kinda peeved tbh.

Great app, BUT...... The problem I have with this app is that it interferes with my hearing aids in a major way. When I activate the app it causes my hearing aid app to go into Audio Streaming mode which means I can’t adjust my hearing aids. Sometimes it causes my hearing aids to completely cut off. If I cut off the Bluetooth connection that doesn’t happen, but no Bluetooth means I can’t adjust my hearing aids. This is a major problem for me. I hope the developer will correct whatever the problem is. (I’ve raised this issue with the hearing aid app developer and the Apple Accessibility Team, all to no avail. I’ve had no success in reaching the Under Armor app developers to discuss this issue.). I’d love to give a 5 star rating, but because of this technical issue, I can only give it a 3.

Works great! Problem fixed!. Had a glitch a week or so ago where I couldn’t do anything except track a walk. The options at the bottom of the app to switch to other areas of the app were missing and it constantly had me in active tracking mode as if I started the workout already but couldn’t leave. The latest update fixed it for me! Everything’s functioning like it should again. Whether that was an intentional correction or my app was stuck until an update pushed it out of whatever endless loop it was in, thank you developers!

Used to Work Well, But No Longer. I’ve used the Map My Walk app with my iPhone for the last few years, and it was great. However, the last two updates have screwed it up to the point that it’s nearly useless. Specifically, it simply shuts down half way through my daily walks, failing to map the last half or so of my walk and thus gives my incorrect times and distances. On one occasion it went berserk and randomly added about a half mile that was not anywhere near where I had gone. I reported the latter issue to the company and they incorrectly blamed Google maps. They need to scrap the last two updates and reissue a version that works properly.

Time stats per mile marker. This app ALWAYS adds a minimum of 6 seconds to the actual time I reach a mile marker. By the time I have walked 4 miles, the cumulative effect is at least 24 seconds more to my time. Supports suggestion to me: edit the workout. Well, OK, but I can not see any way to edit the time for each mile, only the final time. So, this means I either have to settle for that, OR I must record and edit each mile as a separate walk. Why would I pay to upgrade an app that does not work?! This may seem petty to some, but I am a 69 yr old woman who had an aortic heart valve replacement in 2008, and will have to have it replaced again in the not-too-distant future as it is now moderately to severely stenosed again. Therefore, I would like accurate stats for myself and my doctors.

Love this app. I love this app I’m using it for my stress reduction course. it keeps track of your walks and runs. you can use screenshots to display photos of you exercising. It saves your workouts so you can go back and look at them latter on. There’s an audio voice that tells you about your stats while your working out and you can pause and resume your workouts. My only minor complaint is the sharing to social media doesn’t go directly to the app you want for instance I tried sharing it on Facebook and nothing happened. The settings took a while to get used to but overall great app highly recommend and I’m definitely going to use it outside my stress reduction class.

Gear Tracker Feature. I love this App and I have been using it for the past 6 years. It has changed my life, my fitness and my health. I just learned that you will be removing the Gear Tracker feature, practically because you cannot update all the news shoes out there, but it doesn’t matter. I have been choosing any old shoe, nicknaming it myself and tracking whatever show I am using. It has not stopped me from making the very best use of the feature. Please, reconsider and don’t get rid of the feature. Other than this, I love the App and plan on continuing to use it for years and hopefully decades to come.

Works great for tracking. I give this app 4 stars because the directions for how to unsubscribe are unclear and it was super annoying to try and figure how to unsubscribe. for iPhones: Simply go to your settings, click your Apple i.d, go to subscriptions & unsubscribe. The instructions I found kept directing me to go to iTunes to do so. Maybe it’s just me but I find that very unclear. Otherwise, If you Would like to map your walk this is an amazing app to do so. I enjoyed it a lot when I used it and was able to link it to my fitness pal app to track calories consumed and burned. It tells your you elevation and rate you were walking which I liked a lot. I liked it because I felt safer leaving it on during my walks in case I went missing or fell in a hole somewhere and was able to share the log in with someone for IF that happened. A little extra, but it’s facts, people are crazy. I’m in the gym regularly now and don’t go out for walks worthy of tracking anymore. If you walk a lot for fitness or leisure, this app is for you. I didn’t experience any glitches. It does drain your battery rather quick so make sure your phone is charged before you head out.

iPhoneX playing music by itself. This app started turning itself on at random times. Since my Apple Music was attached, my iPhone would start playing music even in the middle of the night when it was charging. I had to contact Apple support to trouble shoot the problem. After several technicians and a supervisor, we discovered the app was turning itself on. I had to go to privacy settings and turn off access to music on all of my Under Armour apps in an attempt to isolate the problem. The app usually works wells for tracking minutes and miles. Occasionally, it glitches (stops, jumps or fails to upload).

Good but a couple annoyances. The app counts my miles and time and maps it. The maps seems to be accurate. I haven’t tried it wont put cellular so if it doesn’t work without cellular that would be an improvement suggested. There are several hiking apps that do this now. What I find missing is 1) a shortcut to pandora. I am pretty sure previous version when I started the app recording it started Pandora as an option. It doesn’t do that anymore. 2) I don’t like having to hold down the button to stop the workout. I just want to tap it to stop and tap it again to save it. Too long holding button and then goes to another screen to save it. Too many steps. Otherwise it is a good product and I use it a lot but I don’t have to do much more than he basics and I think it could do them more friendly for the user.

Access to map data has changed. I have been using this app for years and generally love it. After a recent upgrade I couldn’t find the map data data for my walks which would be a definite dealbreaker. Thankfully it’s still there, but the way to get to it is to hit the “Load Route” at the top of the map on the home screen. I’m glad the functionality is still there, but it’s not intuitive. You may want to consider adding it back to the individual workouts. Having a map of my walks is the best feature of this app and it should be easy to find. Otherwise the app is great.

Great for athletes of all levels. I love this app for tracking all my workout activities. I use it with my Apple Watch and prefer the activity details and how they are displayed in this app over the native application for Apple. I’m doing the 2020 challenge this year which is keeping me motivated! Syncing workouts from the Apple Watch to the app isn’t always fast, it’s taken several days with some workouts. I’ve also had to delete the app and re-download due to workouts being placed out of order, which can just be frustrating when trying to look over improvements made for specific period of time. This can be inconvenient. Still 4 stars because I have downloaded several other apps to track my activity, paid for the premier memberships for these other apps, and I have deleted those same apps. It is just easier to use this app than the others I’ve tried.

Woman. I love this app, it kept me going years ago. Life threw me a lot of curves. Almost struck me out. I have a lot things that always seem to pull me back, but I’m ready to walk away from the drama and self pity. This is the 1st day of the rest of my life and I’m not giving up. When I got that 2nd mile in this evening and I wanted to keep going, I realized turning my back on the life long habit that work better for me than anything and how I feel was a big mistake. Nothing is going to steal my joy or this here feeling of accomplishment that I’m feeling right now, even if I’m not walking 15 minute miles. As long as I can put one foot in front of the other I’m going to walk everyday… even if it’s walking around and around in my house. Thank you Lord for waking me up this morning able to put my feet on the floor and walk around in my right mind!!!

Crazy since last update. Update #2 Jan 6 - the GPS and timer function have gone crazy one more time. Says I am walking a 7 minute mile and I know I walk fast but.....also the distance is not correct because I do the same route and it did not register the mile until I had gone at least 1.2 miles. This is SO FRUSTRATING because I rely on his app as an accurate tracker. If this keeps happening I am going to ditch it for something that really works all the time, not sporadically. UPDATE - since the very latest update on Nov 2 it seems to be better. Today it properly tracked time and distance. Hopefully the problem is fixed. Upgraded from two to four stars based on historical use and the new improvements. Like the larger screen display too so thanks for that! Stay tuned! ********************************************I have an iPhone and have been using this app for at least two years no issues. Since the last update it is not properly tracking time OR distance and therefore not tracking calories or anything else correctly. I know this because I take the exact same walk almost every day so have it in my history. I walk fast but I can’t do 1.2 miles in 8 minutes!! Please fix ASAP.

Lots of bells and whistles but significant inaccurate statistics. I have been using MapMyWalk for over 8 years along with two other apps which log my walks. I run them simultaneously. I just reviewed my lifetime statistics , specifically total miles walked, and was shocked to see that mapmywalk was 1,011 (one thousand eleven) miles less than the other two apps!! The other two apps were within 30 miles of each other yet mapmywalk wasn’t even close. Mapmywalk shorted me the equivalent of an entire years worth of walking!! One year of miles missing !! If you’re looking for Accurate miles, which subsequently affects other statistics like calories burned, etc., go find yourself another app. The algorithms used in this app are misleading and wrong!! If nothing else, download another app. Run them side-by-side, see for yourself, You won’t want to use this app. Sad but True! Happy walking 🌞

Great app for walks and runs. I love this app. I use it to track walks and runs. It shows me my current pace, 1 miles lap time, and average 1 mile lap time. It also shows me how many calories burned and allows me to share my workout only with myself, with my friends, or on Facebook and Twitter. The one weak spot is that the app sometimes stops giving audio feedback after a call whether you take the call or not. I t also doesn’t allow you to change activities after you start a workout and forgot to change the activity. I recommend this app to my friends who walk, run, or bike.

Recent bugs?. I’ve been using the free version for dIly speed walks for 5 mos now, and it was always useful & dependable. For some reason, it has started to stop recording on its own about 1-2 min into the walk - nothing else has changed, it’s in the same touch-free arm band it’s always been in so no new random user pokes, etc. I don’t notice it’s off until I reach my first mile point and there is no announcement. Even if I would happen to notice it immediately, pulling off my arm band to get out my phone & reset slows me down, and I am working on my walking speeds - one of the main reasons I got the app in the first place! I can’t think of any use changes user failure options, so have to wonder if the last update had just made it more touchy. Disappointing.

Good for free app. Works well tracking your path as long as you have cellphone service. It stops trailing if you are out of cell phone coverage, such as on a mountain hike. The other problem is that it does not allow you to plug in your stride length, so it reads different than dedicated step counters or GPS walking apps. My stride is only 25-1/2” because I am 74 years old. This app shows fewer steps for the same distance as a GPS watch (with my stride length plugged in via the settings menu) because I think it uses a typical stride length that is more than mine. Too bad the paid app costs so much, or I would upgrade.

GPS not real accurate. I and my wife have enjoyed Map My Walk for several years. But we have always had the same complaint. We walk side by side and nearly stride for stride for each of our walks and the distance and time never match. For a time she was 30 seconds each mile faster than I, then an update would occur or something and I would be 30 seconds ahead of her. Now we are back to her being 35 to 45 seconds faster than I. Now we just use the readings as ball park and don’t worry about them much. Until they do the switch, they are consistent every walk.

GPS Improvements!!. In the past I’ve really wanted to use this app and I couldn’t because the GPS wouldn’t register the trail that I like to walk on, which would basically cut my distance on my walk in half. After about 4 months of not using this app, I decided to give it another go today to see if I could get it to work properly; to my surprise, it functioned perfectly the first time! No troubleshooting required! I don’t know if it got updated while I was gone or if it was an issue with my phone or what, but I’m very happy that I finally get to use this app. I can admire all of the awesome features now that it’s functioning!

Great for running, lacking for recording other excerises. I noticed with the latest upgrade that you changed some of the types of exercises including indoor cycling classes. Also, when recording stair climbing exercises, the app asks for distance in miles, but most stair climbing machines record distance in floors climbed. Can this feature be included in the next upgrade? Finally, I’m disappointed that the app defaults to recording the last type of workout you completed. So if I log an elliptical workout one day, the app saves that and when I go for a run the following day, I have to manually select ‘run’ as my workout. The app should default to walk/run.

Map My Walk is great.. I started walking in November 2021 as a means of becoming more healthy and trying to lose weight. I tried several different apps to track my progress, and IMO, MapMyWalk is by far the most useful and user friendly. It gives me more than enough functions to track my various activities, so I can actually see the progress I make each week or month. I suspect this is a big reason why I didn’t give up after just a few weeks… because I am making appreciable improvements. It is compatible with several fitness devices (watches, etc.), there is a HUGE user community that interacts with one another offering praise and support, and finally… the annual premium subscription is very reasonable. I would encourage anyone seeking to monitor their progress as they try to become more active and healthy to utilize this app. It’s helped me on my way to losing 110 pounds… and I am still going strong.

Somethings fishy. At first I loved this app and it had me Motivated to walk and start exercising. I loved seeing how many calories I burned in a walk. Recently the more I’ve gotten into health the more I know something about this app isn’t right. While walking at a some what fast pace does burn calories I know the app is grossly exaggerating the numbers. To prove it one day I turned the app on and left it on the table, not touching it at all. The calories were increasing by one point every 30 seconds…I was in shocked. So now every workout where I recorded my calories is extremely off. I am extremely disappointed in this app for that because people really rely on it as a guide during their health journey. If you use this app and record the results for your progress please do not it is not accurate at all. I will be deleting this app. I hoped this helped someone who was working out using this app only to get discouraged because their results didn’t match what the app was saying. Also if you don’t believe please try it for yourself and see. Thank you

App on phone is great...on Apple Watch not so much. I really like my MapMyWalk app on my phone so I was thrilled when I recently got the notification the app now worked on my watch. There were some kinks...at first it wasn’t syncing with the phone so it appeared I’d done two workouts. The data wasn’t the same between the two platforms. But it was workable. All of a sudden the app on the watch is cutting out during my walk. I look at my watch and it’s back to the watch face. If I hit the icon it wants to start over and that’s IF it will even open. Most times it does nothing. Really disappointing as it’s so much more convenient to look at my wrist than dig my phone out of the pouch to check time or distance.

Will not sync with MyFitnessPal. Although MyFitnessPal says this is an automatically syncing app, it’s not. I installed the app and went through the steps to link the accounts, as prompted. Then I did a 2-mile walk. All seemed to be functioning well. Mileage seemed slightly hyped as I already knew the mileage of the trail I was on. I took a picture in-app and that was fine. I reviewed all of my stats and all of that was fine, too. When I checked MyFitnessPal however, no calories had transferred into my diary. I thought this was supposed to automatically do that - but maybe I’m wrong? Within MyFitnessPal, the disconnect feature doesn’t work. This app’s workouts do not show up in the unsynced workouts list - so there’s no way to prompt them to do so. Independently, both apps seem to work fine - but they refuse to talk to each other. I have an iPhone X.

GREAT APP!. I have been using this app for years! It’s fun to join the challenges and work towards a goal. My cousin, (who lives in another state) and I used this app to have friendly competitions and hold each other accountable. Some medical issues keep me from getting as much exercise in as I’d like, so when I’m feeling useless and thinking the month has went by and I’ve not been very productive, I do get encouraged when I look at my exercise diary and see I DID actually get some exercise in, even tho it may not be as much as I want. I like that there’s different exercises that I can keep track of too. I do wish it would put “steps” on the screen as your walking, along with miles just so I know if I’m close to my goal on that walk. I LOVE THE APP, it’s my favorite and I will continue to use it! Thanks!

Love this app. I have been using Map my Run and May my Walk since 2010. They have a lot of functionality on their free app. I especially like that they are constantly updating the software. They recently fixed my biggest beef with the app. In the past the mile marker updates of speed, distance and pace would run over the podcast I was trying to hear. Inevitably the update would occur during a key part of the presentation and then I would have to rewind and deal with the hassle. A recent update changed all that to pause whatever is on during the update, then resume it without missing a word. Small change but huge affect. Thank you very much.

Inaccurate data. I used to use map my walk, map my hike and map my ride. I used to consider all of these apps accurate. Last year I had an injury and took a year off Freon exercise. This year, I’ve started iso g the apps again and known hikes and trail distances are being registered I. These apps at about 1/3 the actual distance. I did a hike tonight that is 1.9 miles each way and my total hike distance registered as .78 miles. This has been consistently happening like this for the past month. So, I don’t know what happened to change the gps tracking at such a huge discrepancy, but I’m done. I’m removing all three apps from my phone and I’ll be using other known, more accurate apps.

An unreliable piece of crap. I was doing my walk and the app timed and tracked the first mile - it gives an audio reading of your pace when you complete each mile. I continued to walk and didn’t get the audio reading for the second mile like I’m used to at the relevant location of my walk. So I stopped to look at the app at which point the piece of sh** refreshed and my first mile was gone, it suddenly decided that I had finished one mile, and the app calculated that I had just walked a 16+ minute mile when it literally had told me I was going 14:03 minutes a mile as my audio reading for my for real first mile. This app is not worth getting free or otherwise. Pick some other app to use unless you don’t actually care about tracking your workouts or having some kind of accuracy. I gave it one star because apparently zero is not an option. Good way to keep your app ratings up, tho.

Map my walk review. I chose map my walk because I was going on a walk that day and I wanted to know how it would work. I really liked that it can give you ideas for different routes to take by tracking your area and desired distance, but it can also track the distance of a walk that you map out yourself. However, I didn’t really like that it was only specific to walks. It would be a cool thing to have an app that was able to track walks as well as create other types of workouts for you. I think that it is important for people to know that this app can also track the distance of a walk you choose yourself and that you don’t only have the option of doing the walks that they choose for you.

Used to be 5 Stars-Updated review. I really want to love this app and would probably upgrade to premium but for one drawback. Used this app for probably 5 years and it synced with my LoseIt app (premium edition) just fine. There was a delay in syncing but it was acceptable. Was considering the paid version when it stopped syncing with LoseIt altogether. Stopped using MMW for probably a year. Just came back to it this week with the same results. Am now looking for a new ‘walking’ app. After a couple of days, the app now syncs with LoseIt. It takes a while, but the last two walks did sync.

Great app except for one glitch. This is overall a fantastic app and would definitely be 5 stars except for one annoying glitch. The app cannot differentiate between walking and riding in a car. So if you’ve been walking then get in your car and forget to press the “end workout” button (or don’t hold it long enough), then it keeps calculating your time/distance. Very frustrating if you’re trying to track progress and frequently have to discard workout due to it not being accurate. Also the “end workout” button is not at all sensitive, you have to press hard and hold for several seconds. There have been many times I’ve pressed it and thought it registered only to realize later it’s still adding time and distance! Really hope the app developers can fix this, it’s otherwise a great app!

Watch app is an unreliable, unstable mess. If you’re just using your phone by itself to track workouts, you’ll probably be fine. But if you want to use it with the Apple Watch, you’ll want to find something else, because there is so much dysfunction with that whole ecosystem, it just isn’t worth the frustration. Syncing is very unreliable, and involves a lot of forcing closing both apps on the watch and phone, toggling Bluetooth on and off, etc. The Watch app also becomes unstable as time goes on and will hang and crash in the middle of workouts, which means you have to stop and mess with it to get it working again. It also appears to not play well with Apple’s own Activity app where it messes up the Move ring, and will crash itself if notifications from the Activity app go off. To keep this watch app stable literally means you will be reinstalling it several times a week. What’s very troubling is UA’s dev team has no problem giving you Rube Goldberg type workarounds to fix the problem, but can’t make any of this stuff work. If Strava and Nike can figure out how to make sync reliable, why can’t UA?

Unreliable. I’ve somewhat successfully used this app but it’s super glitchy. I like that it tells you your pace. I do the same walk several times per week. There are mile markers on my walk so I know when I’ve reached each mile. The app is inconsistent, as it usually says I’ve gone a mile before I actually have. Because of this the more miles you travel the more inaccurate it gets. There have been several times when I look down at the app and it hasn’t even been working. Now the last couple times I’ve tried to use it’s been freezing so it’s completely unusable. I walked two miles and it says I’ve walked .67. It’s really discouraging to my exercise routine as tracking my miles, time, and calories burned is super motivating. Each time I realize it hasn’t been working it makes me feel a little less motivated. That’s probably a personal problem, but regardless it’s frustrating. Anyway I’ve deleted and reinstalled it a couple times but it’s still giving me issues. So I’ve just deleted it for the last time. I’ll go back to my Fitbit.

Newly introduced issues. The app is now less reliable reporting distance on same walks I take several times per week. An update seemed to fix it, but now it is back. Today it showed me looping around in a circle, which I did not do. I understand it can be tough because GPS is not perfect. So here is a suggestion to help those of us using My Fitness Pal. Make the map of the route we took editable, so we can eliminate loops or change paths if they are wrong. Right now all you can do is edit distance to make it the right distance, which I have done. It’s awesome that it changes the calories. Bravo on that. But then let us resync it to my fitness pal so our calorie total doesn’t trick us into thinking we did better than we did. Right now it seems you have to delete the exercise and then add it manually.

Great app but a few tweaks could be made!. I’ve been using the app for close to a year and it’s been great at keeping me honest! Recent in the last 4 months I committed to one of the plans which I finished and started a new one. I wish there was somewhere that defined like this is what we mean by warm up/cool down - in my mind those might be a power walk in the apps mind it might mean a light jog. Additionally a pause button for if you get sick or something so the plan doesn’t keep advancing. Also I wish there was a setting for like a race of 5k/10k where you could have the coach in your ear letting you know pace and time lapse for something. Those are just improvements I would make though because otherwise it’s been great!

Loved it at first but....it is not consistent at all. I have been using this app for a few months. Recently, it has not been consistent with my walk that I do on a daily basis. Same distance, sometimes adding more. I typically walk 4-5 miles daily. My pace is anywhere from 13:50 to 15 per mile. Lately it has been tracking me at 19 to 23 minutes for the same distance and pace (I also use my Fitbit). So essentially I am doing the same workout but only being track for maybe half. I have done all the updates there have been lately but it seems to be getting worse instead of better. I really love the information you get on this app but it’s frustrating to see your results so low after accomplishing so much more in reality.

Worked great b4 UnderArmor bought them. I’ve used Map My Walk since 2014 & was very happy with it until a few months ago when it became difficult to start the app. It would take several attempts, rebooting, re-installing, etc. Very annoying when all you want to do is start your workout. Next I noticed problems with the GPS tracking; it began to stop tracking me, then would jump straight to my current location in a straight line. This would result in negating the whole workout if you’re trying to track your progress over time. Recently I noticed it has shortchanged my distance tracking, so it calls out my first mile results when I’ve only walked .6 of a mile, even tho the map showing my track was accurate. FYI I have a new iPhone 8 with the latest versions this app & iOS. All of this has been very frustrating so I did some research online and found these problems began shortly after Map My Walk was bought by UnderArmor. Other reviewers have reported the same problems. Please get it together! I don’t like the other apps as much as the old pre-UnderArmor Map My Walk app!

Normally love, but recently problems with watch. I normally love this app. I use it daily -sometimes multiple times a day. And I mostly track with my Apple Watch. However, in the last week or so some of my workouts don’t show up in the app on my phone. It saves on my watch, but doesn’t show up in the iPhone app. Sometimes the app just closes on my watch without me even knowing. I’ll turn it on, check it once or twice, then the next time I check it it’s not even open. And of course it doesn’t save on my iPhone. It’s happened 3 times in the last week. Hoping for an update that fixes this soon.

APP DOESN’T WORK. OK this is pretty sad. And really awful to do to your customers. So they let you download the app. There are some features that are premium, which is understandable. But there are many features that are available for free. It lets you track your walking or running, it counts how many steps you have taken, it pulls the information from your phone for previous months. It can track how many steps you have taken for the last six months. That part is a little scary LOL. But then, in the middle of my workout the app stopped and said go to premium. That is really, really awful. They didn’t even wait until I was done with my workout. I think that is very rude of them to think that you have downloaded the app and it will work, and then to say oh never mind you have to pay. Very, very, very upset. I wish I could give it zero stars.

Flawed app mileage inaccurate. Update: 28-Feb-2020 How on earth can an app be so inaccurate. The mile splits are all over the place. I walk on a known distance. If I run the mile splits are at one location, if I walk they are at another at least 2-3 tens off. Oh yeah, if I carry my iPhone in a pack around my waist the mile splits are different than if I carry it in a breast pocket of my vest. How is this possible???? Please don’t ask me for feedback or log files. Hire someone to get out there and walk and run a known distance and fix the app please. Until an update 3 weeks ago this was a very consistent as far as mile splits. Now all over there place. My walk is the exact same route. One day mile splits will be at one location the next a shorter distance the next longer or off mile to mile. Also the Cadence is gone. Go back a version please.

Simple and PERFECT. I am 55 and in no way tech savvy or athletic, I just wanted to know how far I was walking and what I was achieving. Map My Walk is perfect for me. It’s super user friendly and literally transformed my disorganized, random walking and made me into a goal-achieving success. In the past I’ve given up on walking every time I started but this app made me a committed walker who understands the path I’m walking and wants to do more each time! All the information and stats are fantastic, and for the first time I get the value of tracking progress and setting personal goals. A huge blessing I’m so glad I found!!

Don’t know that I could go with this one. Since downloading it worked fine for two days then when I upgraded to iPhone X had to redownload and it’s been terrible first the music wouldn’t play support said to erase and download again fine then my iwatch wouldn’t sync with the workout done on my phone until two days later now it doesn’t sync at all. The watch doesn’t open the app at all just keeps saying loading and nothing happens. Now workouts I’ve done and saw on the phone won’t sync with my lose it app and it isn’t showing on the map it app either but it shows on the iPhone health app (don’t tel me to make sure it has permissions it does). Can’t see myself paying for this as a matter of fact tried to upgrade to see if that would make a difference IT DOESNT EVEN LET ME DO THAT! Keeps saying try again later and later never comes. Please work out these issues for now I will take it off and see if there is something better out there that is not buggy.

Really like even the free version, but.... I’ve found the free version really motivating especially during the pandemic (which means no group fitness activities). I like being able to send a friend my map and stats each day; we keep each other accountable and encouraged even though we’re not walking together. My one gripe is that I wish I could just glance at the home screen during a walk to see how far I’d traveled! As far as I know, the only way to do this is to hit pause, scroll to view stats, then hit pause again to start walking again. I never do this because it’s a pain of an interruption. I finally just set the alerts to tell me every 0.25 miles, which I can hear while walking—at least that gives me a ballpark idea of the distance.

Too many ads. Constantly having to tell the app “I don’t want to see this” to remove the unending number of “upgrade now” ads is leaving me very disgruntled with UA and the app. Also, and to a lesser extent, there seems to be no provision for editing a saved workout (which was available in earlier iterations of the ‘Map My …’ family. Now roughly half of my records include the car ride afterward, when I forget to exit the app. Map My Run was one of my favorite, essential fitness tools, years ago - before UA swooped into the picture. And I paid for the premium tier back then. I’m too annoyed with the constant barrage of “monetization opportunities” built into the current platform to even consider giving them my money, now. I’m going to uninstall this and look for a less irritating competitor.

Weird results. I walked around my pool for 30 minutes and got no credit for it and I was walking at a good clip. All it showed was a big blob! There is a light cleaning option but nothing for heavy cleaning like washing floors, windows or scouring sinks, stove and toilets. I like to spring and fall clean and when I do, I get quite a workout with moving couches and chairs, office furniture, vacuuming floors. A lot of the time I’m sweating and I’m not a person that sweats in the heat even though I’m really really hot! I have been using the app for a few years now, but I think I should have an option for house work as workout. I realize some people think it’s so easy to be home all day with “nothing to do” but seriously it’s way more work than people think it is!! It’s not constant every day, but once a week for sure it’s a good workout! Thanks for your consideration.

It was great but now.... I’ve been using this app for about 2 weeks now and didn’t run into any issues until a couple days ago. I signed up for the paid MVP program because I was enjoying the app thinking maybe that would solve the issue but no. When I start my walk from my phone, the GPS tracker is not keeping accurate distance at all. I’ll have walked 2 miles but it’s only showing I’ve done a mile or less and shows me cutting through yards and even houses, not even close to the roads that I took. When I start my walk through my apple watch, it seems to keep my distance okay but it STILL shows me cutting through yards and houses around the streets I actually took. I’d love to continue to use the app if it worked properly but it sounds like I’ll be canceling my subscription and going to a different app. I’ve sent in two messages to the support team regarding this. I’ve tried restarting both my phone and my watch, deleting the app and re-downloading, and even checked Google Maps to make sure my GPS was showing me in the correct direction and in the actual location I am in. (Which it did) The “GPS” signal bar on Map my Walk is always green showing I have perfect signal, so why am I running into these issues? I hate having to find a new app but this is ridiculous.

Bit buggy but eventually issues were resolved. I walked the longest and furthest yet today (last time I looked while on my walk had been 6 + miles) and I was livid when my watch lost the progress in the map my walk app and thus it never synced up with the app on my iPhone. I lost a lot of progress toward my weekly walking goal and I don’t know how to get it back and from what I can tell, the app on both devices are in fact on the same page as far as losing the miles. I closed fitness rings on the Apple Watch which thankfully the watch itself has logged it but the map my walk app has failed me when I needed it most. I don’t know if it’s just a big or a glitch but it doesn’t change that my progress is lost. Update: it took a bit of work but eventually I was able to successfully sync the workout after restarting both my watch and my iPhone. It wasn’t entirely pleasant to do and the app on Apple Watch still lags, freezes, and crashes when I try to use the app or do anything within the app such as finish a workout and such. Other than that, I don’t have many further issues with it.

Distance measurements are very erratic. Since the latest version of this app the distance measurements have become very inconsistent. For example, I walk a route yesterday and at a certain point the app records one mile. I walk the exact same route the next day and I need to go 100 yards further before it records one mile. I’ve had instances on a longer walk (say 4-6 miles) where from one day to the next its off by 1/4 mile for the same route. I come from a GPS background and can understand some inconsistency, but 100 yards 1/4 mile is way out of the range of acceptability. In addition, the app seems to hang sometimes. I’m watching the app and seeing about a number of strides for every .01 mile. Then the app hangs for several steps, and then jumps .03 - .04 miles, and the steps I’ve taken exceed what it captures. If you’re looking for an app that provides you a motivator to get out there and exercise, its fine. If you’re looking for one that provides consistent distance measurements, this is not it.

Great app, plus suggestions. I like the app very much. My problem is I always forget to stop timing when I finish. Would love a reminder setting for when stopped over certain amount of time, eg. 2 mins, 5min. And/or programming in a time you hypothesise exercising for and having a sound kick in after this time. That sort of feature would also help.

What’s wrong with Map my Walk app?. About 2 years ago I used to turn on ‘Map my Walk‘ when doing my morning walk. During the walk it used to give me data about the Duration, Distance, Pace and Calorie of that walk and and the map of roads I’ve covered and it also have me audio notification every time I’ve done the full km. Then I stopped using the app for a while and now when I tried to use it again it only gave me details of the Duration and Distance.. Could someone tell me what I’ve done wrong or haven’t gone correctly?

Connects families | Motivating | Easy to use. Traveling all over the world and have all our walking locations on map my walk plus the photos. Our family are connected as Freinds in different countries and it's fun to connect in a healthy motivating way Easy to use; take photos as you go; encourage each other by sending messages; set up family and friends challenges; keeps you motivated and connected. When you arrive in a new location you can click on the routes that others in your area have taken - so a local view. Highly recommend this APP.

Handy fitness app. Just started using this app today wish I had known about it sooner! I love how it talks to me and tells me how far I’ve run and what speed I’m going, it really helped me pace myself.

Dog walk. This is a great app for me to keep a record of my dog walks through the State Forest and having a record of where and when I was if anything happened in the forest that needs reporting.

Limited for walking fitness. Great to record & share routes, distances, times. Editing function seems not to work, for example, to update Home location, weight Doesn’t seem to record calories

Works well- great app. I enjoy looking back on the walk I just did to see how far I went, how many steps I did and the pace I set. Continently good app for tracking walks

Friends Do Not Know the distance.. When I first started this app it was excellent. Now with the last update my friends only get a beep notification that I have walked, they no longer are able to see the distance. We have looked at our settings and maybe someone that gets the friends distance can tell me where or what I’ve done wrong. Please bring back that notification

Walking assist tool. I find this is very helpful for me in managing my exercise when walking. The ability to save your workouts for future reference is great.

Efficient and easy to use. My husband and I use this app to track our calories burned when we go for a walk but it also keeps us motivated to try and do better! It’s something we use in the afternoons when we take our son for a ride on his scooter and it’s super easy to use. Could not recommend this app more!!

Looks better than it is. I took a pic decided I didn’t like it and lost my entire session. The option appeared at the end to attach the pic and I chose to discard it. Turns out that was for the whole days walk. Poorly designed interface there. I honestly thought this app was pretty good when I started but I will look to others as there’s nothing outstanding about this one.

Gone to the dogs. This app’s best feature — Courses, where you and other users could set courses and compete for times, points and badges — has been removed without notice. When asked why, UA’s response was the “feature was not performing up to our standards”. A competent app developer would have fixed the issues, but UA decided to remove the feature. UA likes to talk about their MapMy app users as a “community” but this community wasn’t consulted or offered any alternatives. Hopeless.

I used to love it. Now it’s corrupted. Says I have walked 1km in 5 minutes and burnt 300 calories when in reality I have only walked 400 metres if that. Says my pace is 4 minutes per kilometre when as an overweight person my pace is about 13 minutes per kilometre. I have deleted the app and will find another one to use.

New update wrong. Used to be and accurate or within a few meters now it’s completely wrong. I can walk 10mins per km but yesterday I did 7 and 6km a km I’am overweight so not even possible even if I was running. My line has doubled back a few times so it miscalculated my distance. It’s disappointing because I thought it was a great app. I’ll give it a few goes otherwise I’ll delete and find something else

Keep moving. Amazing app it tracks everything that you need to look back on to see the improvement you have achieved each day/week

Since update. I did an update yesterday and now the voice has stopped. Showing less distance than I do. I do the same walk everyday. Don’t know why. Has always been great.

How do I share a route with friends?. I downloaded this app to create a walking route to use on a small fundraising walk with friends. I created the route on my Mac and all looking great but I can’t see how to share it with my participants so they can follow the route on their phone on the day. I tried support articles but nothing seems to tell me how to do this :( The one option to ‘share, email’ didn’t work for my initial test person ( restoring service message). so how do I do it? Other than this it looks like the perfect tool. TIA for assistance

Couple annoying things. Love this app most of the time but it is too easy to accidentally lose a walk. I lost one when I clicked discard thinking I was changing the photo I’d just selected and not realising I was discarding the whole session. Then we just did the 3 capes walk in Tasmania. 4 day walk and I lost the 3rd day somehow. I think I finished the session using my Apple Watch, not my phone and it didn’t save. So disappointed. Should be less easy to delete a session.

Don’t bother. This app won’t let you use it until you join. That’s fine but when you try to log in using Facebook as you preferred option it refuses and states you already have a log in with another app owned by them. You try to reset your password as you don’t remember it but the rest email never comes. So then you are effectively locked out of the app. Don’t bother with it as it is useless.

ozecol. Auto pause has disappeared - why? The clock still runs while I stop for coffee and that corrupts my whole stats records. Please bring it back ASAP.

Like it, but needs update for complications.. I have used these apps for many years, and as a person that likes to update my equipment, it’s sad to see that this app hasn’t been updated to make use of the news Apple Watch Series 4 screen faces. Please fix this, it’s an important thing to be able to get to the app quickly from my watch face.

Great app! I like looking back at all the routes I’ve worked across the world! Works well.... Have used it for over 12 months now & find it easy to use and great for tracking progress.

What an excellent product! Too bad about the full price!. If this product was better priced, I'd buy it to thank the developers for their excellent Work. The free product does everything I want it to do, spilt times, total distance, mapping, calories, elevation, pace analysis. Just great! Needs a once of price that is reasonable, say $30 and I'd buy it.

Great app...but sometimes the kms are off when near rivers. I like the app but whenever I’m near a riverbank the gps must go berserk because my 1km walk all of a sudden becomes 1.6kms because the map shows me as having crossed the river even though I hadn’t. This is frustrating as I can’t use the app along the beautiful riverfront boardwalk.

3 stars. It is a great app I like how it shows the map and how everything about it the only things that brings the stars down is it uses alit of my phone battery in one go so I can't even listen to music with it otherwise I end up have next to no battery left

App for exercise. Easy to use as I am technically challenged and usually put off by apps. Like it has voice activation tells you each k’s you walk, graphics clear and simple.

GPS need improvement. App used to work really well now I find the gps is way off on tracking the distance. This was the best part when working well earlier in the year.

Great for tracking workouts and seeing progress. This app is wonderful for tracking your walk, run or cycling routes, with detailed information such as accurate distance, average pace/speed, duration, cadence, burned calories and the elevation gain. There is also a function to track your heart rate over the duration of a workout provided you have a device which does this (FitBit, or smart watch, etc). I have been using this when going on walks or runs with my partner to track our progress both in the short and long term.

Johknee. Great app. I use the free version which is awesome. It does however tend to go to sleep mid “workout”, walk in my case. Plenty of charge on phone, just happens out of the blue. Not all the time and not very often but it does happen. I make sure once I start that the phone is off so I don’t knock it accidentally. Other than that great app , hence the 4 stars if there was half a star I’d tag that on.

Fun + Easy to Use. Easy way to see where my dog takes me on his walk, when we get home. Has enough user options available, without upgrading, to be enjoyable. ✅

Wonderful App - very useful. Use this app daily. Great to be able to take notes of how I felt & what works & what doesn’t. Love the live map feature, makes me feel comfortable taking different routes as I can always see on the map where I am - found some beautiful waterways & parks by taking a different street or two. Works well in the background so I can listen to music, podcasts or watch Netflix! The pause function is very handy as I can’t pass a swing in a park without playing for awhile.

Why I use this App. Helps me keep tabs on how far I’m able to walk and the average pace for each Kilometre walked, as I advance in age. I’m currently 80 years young.

Big help to walking!. Great incentive to get walking! Very accurate abd gives lots of info when completed walk. I use it all the time

Lack of comparison. I look forward to see new features which enable me to compare two different days on the same chart. e.g. heart rate, pace and etc. I’d like to see the map on the watch and the app can give me verbal navigation so I can walk / hike in the same path. Is the a “hike” option? I find it difficult to read the non-standard y-axis numbers. I also find it hard to relate the lines to y1 /y2.

Map my walk. Have only been using this app for a week, so still finding my way with it. Seems fairly straight forward, and useful in a training program I have started. I love that I can save my walks , then should be able to look back and compare stats. I haven't found out how to name or number my walks yet. A useful app !

Disappointed. My partner and I both have this app. We walk every day with our dogs. We start the app at the same time and end it at the same time. Both our phones get placed into a carry section of our babies pram yet when we finish our walk, the distance will be between a few hundred metres to a couple of kms difference. However the maps show the exact same route. We don’t know which one to believe.

Stopping n starting. We often stop to look at birds, chat to people, pat a dog... There is no way to pause the tracking without stopping, entering a passcode, pressing pause, and reversing the process after the stop - both causing delays. Is there some way to program the app to pause if no GPS movement is detected for, say 10 seconds, and then starting again when movement is detected? That would make this an awesome app

Crashing on Walks. Great app for tracking calories and kilometres. Unfortunately it randomly crashes during my walk - I use this for work and walk dogs for 2 hours so we can show owners the route walked and time spent. With the crashing, I am spending a lot of extra time as it restarts the timer from where it crashed. Usually this isn’t too much of a bother but it’s exhausting when it happens on a hot day and I need to spend another 30-40mins out in the sun when the dogs, and me, are exhausted. If this is fixed I would happily give 5 stars but at the moment it is causing a lot of hassle.

Frustrating at times. I love this app when it works well but unfortunately for me it glitches at times and fails to record half my walk.. and it doesn’t show my km in the armour challenges.. but l love that family and friends connect and make up challenges .. that’s fun.. when it works

Trying to connect to my fitness pal. Getting this error message when logging in with Facebook URL Blocked: This redirect failed because the redirect URI is not whitelisted in the app’s Client OAuth Settings. Make sure Client and Web OAuth Login are on and add all your app domains as Valid OAuth Redirect URIs.

Amazing app when it works!. I use this app everyday and love it but lately I’ve been having issues, about once a week it just won’t work. It won’t load up and won’t actually start tracking the walk, it just kicks me out constantly. It’s just pretty disappointing when it’s worked so well for so long

This works very well. Enough data to give you an understanding of how far are you walked what exercise you done how many calories you have expended and maps of the distances and diagrams of where you have travelled on foot. I have been using it for nearly 2 years and find it very beneficial indeed.

Happy to a degree. First, the program is having difficulties to save a walk every second time even in case of proper WiFi or 4G connection. Second, speed is measured in km/h but not min per km. I understand I can re-calculate but people need km/h or at least a visible option to see what they want. Last, when sharing a walk, a program doesn’t put a date, it puts a map, calories, etc. So, for me to fully share a walk I need 2 print screens instead of one. So, happy to a degree but there are lots of obvious things to improve in this program

Good App. This is a great app but since the last update I can’t play my music within the app. I have to go to my music & play then go to map my walk. Frustrating but the app does work other than loosing my music

Great App. Just what I am looking for - haven’t walked in years and I find a good app to encourage and track my workout is all I need. I am heading into my senior years so I am not out to break any records And BONUS there are no ads that drive me nuts - ha! Anyway thanks for this free app - might upgrade when I get fitter 🙏🏻

doesn't record. I purchased the app to have efficient map of walk I press track my route - usually when I quit the app my clock turns blue so I know it track, but after a while it disappears and sometimes it's been half an hour when I realise it didn't track at all. The timer is going, but the route is not recorded. I press pause then resume so the line jumps from starting point to where I'm at just as a straight line. I'm using it on iPhone. First I thought it's just update or temporary issue, but it happens almost every time I use the app even after app and phone update. Not the best experience - I cancelled my yearly subscription, which I just started, but it would be great to see improvement so I can continue using it.

Just horrible. Signed up, hit start, waked half a K down the road and pulled out phone to check on it; wanted me to accept something it didn't before, accepted and had to start again. 2 k more in had to stop and pause walk to access setting so I could shut up the thing telling me my distance speed, hit resume, checked on it again a 1-1.5 k later and it hand resumed. Complete waste of internet

Great / Feature Request. Have been using it for over 10 years. Is there a feature to wind the clock back after a walk if I forget to end the session and then drive home?

Awesome app! Super useful.. I really love this app for so many reasons. The first reason would be that it is really accurate from what I have experienced so far. It is easy to use and navigate so anyone can use it. There are so many options of sports to track including ones I’ve never heard of! This app helps me to stay on top of my fitness and to know how many calories I’ve burned is great. This app even tracks your route that I absolutely love! Great app!

Very good. I use it a lot, my one wish would be that it showed the distance walked as you go not just at the finish, sometimes I go over my goal and sometimes I’m a bit under and I can’t tell until I press complete.

Battery hog 🪫😤!. The app is fairly good but has a HUGE issue with battery usage: 3 min on screen, 5 hours 32 minutes background. 38% battery consumed! Same time running Outdooractive 1 min on screen, 5 hours 32 minutes background. 6% battery consumed. Night and day. Speaking as an iOS dev, y’all need to step up your game and make your code more efficient.

Super great.. Exceeded expectations. Talks to you and provides split times each KM. Good motivation to adjust speeds.

Could be better. Would like it to link with my apple health Don’t like that it often fails when camera is used

Excellent. Works as advertised Works well.

Canada iPhone/Iwatch. Love this app, use it every day!! Best app to track paces correctly compare to others i tried. Love that it jumps in your watch, tracks your heart rate!! I have no issue except one … I walk indoors sometimes and I would like to just use my watch but indoor track is not available, not in the list only on phone !! But nothing major, I just use my phone ;) thks again for this great free app

I love it. MapMyWalk is easy to use and has good Détail

Bad bugs. Stops working a lot

Comparaison. J’aime votre application, mais comparend avec d’autres applications je vois que vous donner moins de milage km et également plus de pas marcher. Comment bien savoir qu’elle application est exacte. Mais j’aime bien.

Need more function for the app.. How can I know how many steps for the walk ?

Can’t create account. After trying both Apple ID and username/password, it simply refuses to create account. The app indicates Apple ID creation works, but when trying to login it just says it can’t find the acccount.

Français. Puis avoir l application en français

walking🚶‍♀️🚶keeps us motivated.. Love the app. It makes it so interesting while walking🚶‍♀️🚶and keeps us motivated.

It’s a great App to have. I love the fact I can map my routes, steps, and time.... So I can then make better times each time I go and push myself to do it faster.... however I don’t like that it doesn’t give you all the information without signing up for a package.... it also didn’t map one of my routes right with the time, that’s happened a couple times now...

App stops tracking when screen turns off. Hi. I updated the app today. Now, each time I start to track an activity when I turn the screen off for more than 10 seconds the app stops tracking. It resumes tracking when I turn the screen back on, which is what I do when I am ready to end the activity. Please issue an app fix. Thanks.

Requires an account. No thanks, hard pass.

My walks. These map my walks encourage me ... thx 💕

Account. Cannot create an account. Can’t use app with an account.

Good job. My husband and I both use this app for our daily walks. It does a great job. I wish it would auto-pause and auto-resume though, since we often forget to do so when we stop for chats. I think my pedometer app used to do that.

No thanks!. Requires too much personal info and sends it out of country. No thanks!

Walk. This is a great app works well

No account. Dosn’t let me make my account if you let me maybe a three

Bike rides. Been using this app for years . Works great, never fails Megasoarazz

Exploring Lucca, Italy. We are vacationing in Lucca, Italy, which is an old walled city in Tuscany that is filled with narrow streets, open piazzas and so many ways to get lost. Using Map My Walk to keep track of where we are and where we want to go is so useful and so easy. The map identifies all the restaurants, churches and other places of interest. Excellent!

Choices. I was able to track progress and record a particular route that was challenging or flat. It keeps me motivated by announcing my pace so I know if I’m meandering or walking. I like to look back at my progress when keeping myself on a routine.

Très simple d’utilisation. J’adore vraiment facile

Canada. Why are prizes not available in Canada. We buy your stuff too!!! Ps. Love the app

Sign Up Problem. Am trying to sign up, and create an account. Tells me: THERE WAS A PROBLEM SIGNING UP. or: THAT EMAIL HAS ALREADY BEEN USED. Please help.

Great app. Nice and simple to use

Bigger Bolder. I love what it does but the fonts used are neither bold enough nor large enough for easy reading. Older walkers such as myself appreciate clarity.

Hi;. Just Excellent

Suggestion or maybe a answer. I walk a lot of the same spots at different times, days etc. The app Is great but I would like to see all my routes overlap so I would see one big picture of all the ground I cover. See here all the little red lines go and popular overlapping spots.

Activities to include. Please add cross-country skiing and skating to your activity list. I am Canadian 🤗🤗🤗. Thank you!

Motivating. My friend and I secretly try to out best each other daily. Has me walking 2-3 km’s more daily than I did before I got the app.

Need to sign up to try. App can’t even be demoed without signing up for an account. No thanks.

Walking. I like your ap Except I can’t get to change the steps my other device that I did by measuring by is more steps per hour. 8000 Fitbit is 6000

Can’t create account. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I tried to create an account using my Apple ID. Says my email is already used for an existing account. Utterly useless app. I deleted it and I am now using another app instead.

Doesn’t work when no cell service.. Can’t use it off grid as app gets stuck searching for network. Otherwise would be my go to app.. better options and web interface than Strava.

Terrible. This would have been a very impressive app in 2001. In 2023 it’s miles behind even the most amateur built applications. It’s missing so many features and offers very little flexibility. I only kept it because I started the 1023km in 2023 challenge and wanted to see it through. Also, the prizes for that challenge are open to only US residents? WTAF

Great App. This app is great! Keeps track of everything you would want in a workout…km, map, pace, calories…I like the pace per km feature. The app is user friendly. Try it out…highly recommended!

Cool App for waking. I get all stats I need (steps, distance, calories burned) and I can sync them with MyFitnessPal for better view of overall calories consumption Really helpful, highly recommended

Not bad but…. This works fine - all I want is a distance and step-count for my walks. But, I hate that I cannot change the week to start on a Monday - it’s called the weekend for a reason! So, I will look for another app.

Second thoughts. Used to use it all the time. I just got back from a walk and my google maps says the distance was 9km. So does my fitness app on the iphone but the MapMyWalk app says I walked 6.95km which doesn’t add up. Not sure if I’m going to continue using this if the distance isn’t accurate.

Missing Important Features. I wish it would pause and start on its own. Also I wish it would track steps

MapMy. This is a good app. I have two issues with it. The picture/map has gotten smaller since the last update or two. I can no longer see clearly exactly what my route was. The other issue is sometimes I drive to where I’m going to walk. I start the app when I start my walk but I forget to turn it off. I would like to be able to go to the map and mark where the walk stopped and delete the rest of the recorded walk because I was actually driving.

Don’t use this app!. The app really needs to be rewritten. Once you actually get it going, it’s not bad but getting there is a pain. I tried creating an account through the app, but it always gave me an error and then locked up and didn’t allow me to go anywhere. Tried at least 5 times, tried to submit a support ticket through the app and never got a response. I thought it was that I may have had the app before and just forget the password, but never got a reply on trying to see if the account had been used before. Finally went to the website and created the account with no issues, set my measurements to use metric and went for a short walk. When I finished and looked at my stats, I saw it was displaying in miles, so ignoring my settings. Bad all around and no support.

Love it!. Works amazing love this app!!!

Recent version fails to track walk. App used to work fine. Most recent update now doesn’t work on older phones.

Great and reliable. I have been using this free version for several years. It has been a great and reliable companion. At 66 I am determined to regain my health. I am going to upgrade this product to help me in my journey.

Map no longer visible. Update: Support contacted me and told me to log out and back in. That fixed my issue. Good customer support

Treadmill workout not showing or counting toward challenges. Treadmill workout not counting toward challenges contacted support few times no solution it seems like they don’t care

No direct heart rate monitoring on any remaining UA apps?. I used to use UA’s Record app because it would read my heart rate directly from my Apple Watch, and because it exported my workout directly to My Fitness Pal. Then it stopped exporting to Pal and became buggy so I uninstalled thinking I could reinstall. But no, that app is no longer available, and none of the remaining apps do what Record did. None of the UA apps seem to pull my exercise into My Fitness Pal either, even though that’s also a UA app. Therefore, I switched to another **non-UA** app (FITIV) that will actually export my workout to My Fitness Pal directly!! And I export info from that app to Map My Walk via the website (I have a bunch of friends on Map My apps). Very disappointed in UA apps lately- but staying somewhat loyal because I lost nearly 25 pounds using My Fitness Pal.

Not as good as before last couple of updates. With the latest updates format for recording things has changed. I can no longer put reps and weights on my workouts unless I put it in notes which is crazy. Even my old stats previous to the updates is not there, so I can’t see how I have progressed in reps or increasing my weights. No longer shows steps/ distance in some activities such as shopping, great when I was in the mall or a big store like Walmart I am a senior on a fixed income cannot go premium. Not sure that would be mush different though. Updates do not always make things better for the average user.

Great app - one bug. I love this app - I use it every day. There was a problem for awhile where it was understating the actual mileage by about 10%, but that has resolved. Developers: FYI, there is a problem with the month to date metric in the Profile section. It shows life to date mileage for “October,” and the values don’t change when you go backward. You can’t see mileage for November (current month). Other than that really minor thing, totally worth having!

If more accurate, would be 5 stars. I have used these apps for years. What is problematic for me is when they, for no apparent reason, have inaccurate distance readings. Usually a bit generous but not always. Loops that I have been on numerous times suddenly change distance. I tried to contact the company and they gave standard answers. I did all including uninstalling and reinstalling the apps all to no avail. Then they suddenly worked again. But still have rogue distances and no idea why. But most of the time works well.

No longer works with Fitbit. Yesterday I would’ve given this app five stars. But today after the recent update, I can no longer use this app with my Fitbit. And there’s no way to reconnect it to my Fitbit. To me, that’s a major loss of functionality for this app. So if there were minor updates, there were major breakages as well. I hope you fix this soon. Update - I uninstalled, shut down the p Hu home and reinstalled the app and it works fine. Not happy with the new black version and I miss my map but it works again

Recent changes have not been good.. Recently, the app changed so that if you pause the app, the playlist no longer stops playing. Now, on this most recent update, you can’t even choose a playlist to play from your iPhone/iTunes. Very disappointing. That has always been my cue that I have neglected to start the app, pause the app, or restart it after pausing. WORSE though is that recent updates have severely degraded the tracking functionality. It sometimes just stops working in the middle of a walk or cuts corners that I didn’t cut. PLEASE fix!

Pretty good but misses on a couple of basics. It’s nice that they have pretty good watch support, good maps and recording of paths taken, But: - even if you choose to see speed rather than pace, all that shows on an Apple watch is pace. Since I am not a competitive runner this is meaningless. I never think in terms of how long it takes to do a mile - they disabled one really good feature - auto pause. With that enabled I could see how much time I actually spent walking. Without that the overall time and speed they show for a walk is meaningless to me

Exactly what I was looking for (almost!). Would love to give this lil free app a five star review, but I almost always forget to stop it when the activity ends, so I’m looking at near, but not exact data. I have the settings in place to help, but some other kind of reminder would be so nice! Can’t it speak up when it senses activity ended and ask if you’re ready to end time? And it would also be nice if it could detect the ‘strenuousness’ of the walk, (if that’s a word?!), for example walking on a level roadway is not the same work out as walking up a steep hill. Just a thought!

It works but…. I’ve use this app for a long time, and it works very well most of the time. However, one of the reasons why I use this is so that I can share with a Facebook group. For the past three or four months it won’t allow me to share because the group is listed too far down and it closes before I can click on the groups name. I don’t know what’s going on but it is very frustrating!

Member since 2013. Very simple and easy tracker that I use either on my IPhone or Apple Watch. Can’t beat the price. The few problems over the years were fixed very quickly by support or a update. My wife uses a different tracker but there is no difference in the GPS stats. Our 3 mile walks are 3 miles with the same time on both. On the Apple Watch I have the icon on the watch face and takes maybe a second to get the timer to start counting. What more do you need for nothing.

Battery Killer. I’ve been using this app off and on for a bit. I started walking more regularly in the past few months and when I use it along with my AirPods/Apple Music or taking photos, the battery plummets and the app gets glitchy. This does not happen with any other app combinations or at any other time. It’s gotten to the point where it cuts off my phone after the battery plummet. When the phone is turned back on the battery life percentage is far greater. I’m going to get the phone checked on but be forewarned about this app in combination with other things. Otherwise, it’s a good app.

I use it a lot.. Using this ap as much as I do, I can’t rate it less than five stars. I use it a lot because it tells me just the information I want to know during a walk. It seems to me that it’s easier to use than the other walking apps. One thing that annoys me is that during a walk it starts to take longer and longer to open, till it crashes, at about 6 to 8 miles, then it works well for a while. About 6 miles after that it starts doing the same thing. It can crash twice in a long walk. The only thing that the version you have to pay for does that I’d like is custom splits. I’d also like stride length, but I think you need special shoes for it to calculate that for you. Anyway, I can’t justify paying the fee just for custom splits. Update: Unless I can figure out a way to silence this bubbly person who has starred chirping about calories, I going to have to delete this.

Workout info is comprehensive. several years ago I’ve been using this app for several years and it exceeds any expectations I had. I’m not into marathons or other long distance running but I do walk a mile three days a week and I’m still amazed at the information this app provides; also, I did not realize how hilly my neighborhood is until I looked at the map portion of the app. I’m very happy with Map My Walk from Under Armour.

How about a Team Goal?!. Since we have challenge mode (which I totally enjoy playing), why don’t we have a team goal mode where a group of people hit a target (eg miles, workout, steps, etc) in a given period? It’s a cool mix of challenge AND cooperation as the result may show the team completes the goal together within a given time AND a break down of portions of the workout completed by each individual… Just an idea. Was doing challenge mode with my gf and was struck by this. I would have so much fun doing it

Latest update is lame!. “Improvements to auto pause function” not an improvement! Every time I go into podcasts or music while I’m walking, the app now ;only in the las 2 weeks) gives me an alert that my Walk has been terminated. WHY FIX WHAT AIN’T BROKE? You broke it! I walked 2 hrs 25 mins today and the app “auto paused” (while I was still walking) so many times that it only showed 1 hr 36 mins. That’s LAME. Please fix it ASAP. I want to be able to access other apps on my phone (like I could up until 2 weeks ago) while MMW is running in the background. Update October, 2022 - green means go, red means stop. You changed both actions to black. REALLY?!

Inaccurate Tracking. I use to run this app and ismoothrun at the same time just in case one of the apps failed or accidentally got paused. I’ve used it this way for years. This app has gotten to be way off on the miles. Ismoothrun will show 8 miles and this app will show like 7.5 miles. You may ask how do I know which app is correct. Well for about 3 years both apps were identical in time and miles and I drove my car along the route I use and got the mileage. This app also freezes up. Really disappointed in this app as I am kind of OCD about getting 8 miles exactly in. I have 8 on ismoothrun and have to run an extra .25 to .50 miles to get UA app to the 8 miles. This is really annoying.

Map My Everything!. The MapMyWalk app is terrific because it allows you to track just about any activity…not just biking, but mountain biking; not just walking, but running. MapMyWalk gives you the option to save or discard your workout. If you choose to save your workout then many statistics are displayed such as duration, calories burned, distance, average speed (also by mile). Also displayed is a map of your route. I have used MapMy Walk for years and it definitely meets all of my needs.

So simple! So effective!!. I love this app because all you do is open the app, start a workout and it follows you as you walk, automatically creating a map of the route you take which you can use for future walks. It tracks the length of time you walk, the calories you’re burning along the way, keeps track of your walking pace, elevations you cover and the miles you’ve traveled. Very motivating to keep you going and push yourself to finish and even pick up the pace or just go further! Fabulous!! 🙌🏃‍♀️😎

Straight Garbage. This is the bad second review I’ve done of this app. First, it drops out making me lose hundreds of steps and at times miles, if I don’t check it constantly to make sure it’s still working. I almost always have to reboot it mid- workout to get credit for the rest of it. Second, due to glitches I have received inaccurate date losing credit for steps and calories burned. I can’t even describe how anomalous these glitches are but they happen often. Third, with this new up date routes that used to be counted as 3 miles are now counted as a mile less! I only continue to use this app because it feeds directly into My Fitness app which tracks my calories. I wish I could give MapMyWalk a lower rating or that the developers would fix the constant problems so I give it a higher rating.

Terrible Tracking. Recently for the past couple of months I have been using this app for a community challenge and sometimes it glitches. It does more than just bug out, it says I went places that I was nowhere near. After I’m done with my workout I look at the route I took on the map and usually it is the same because I use the same trail. Although sometimes it says I went into the water, went through houses, and down cliffs. I don’t know how to fix it because when the challenge is done and they check to make sure no one cheated, I don’t want them to think of me as sketchy. So please, do better with the tracking.

I like this app. I have had this on my iPhone for about three years. It is simple to use which is great for me because I'm rather challenged when it comes to making apps work for me. It helps me keep in shape and know how far I'm walking each time. I visit friends and relatives in other states and I don’t have to stop walking because I’m not familiar with their area. This app lets we walk wherever and never have to worry about getting lost. I love it!!

Just Uploaded This App. I just uploaded this app and I’m very happy I found it. It does exactly what I had hoped it would do. I use it to map my walks around my work-place and give me basic information such as distance. It gives me GPS map information illustrating my route which is really cool! I am thoroughly satisfied with this App and would recommend it to anyone who takes walks and want to record some basic and easy-to-see data on their route. It probably does so much more and may explore all its options for future walks.

My walking companion. My journey with Map my Walk started in November of 2017. I must say listening to my tunes, and monitoring my walks has given me visual confirmation of my progress. My first few months I walked 2 to three miles every 3 days. Now I am at 5 miles 5 days a week! I have lost 35lbs so far. I have another 30 to my personal goal weight. I feel confident and healthy. I find the blogs very helpful as well with tips on food, improvements on walks, as well as training. Thank you

Love the map!. I had a pedometer app that I loved but they stopped updating it. I’ve been looking for one that gives me a map to look at my routes and mileage for each one. Some pedometer app say they have a map, but that’s only for the paid for version. I love that this map is available for the free version. You can upload a picture of each walk and make notes. I will be keeping some notes as I am three weeks postop from a major surgery. It will be nice to keep track of my progress.

Yes, I would recommend!. This app has worked very well for me for about a year and a half now. It enables me to keep track of all my walks, the distances that I walk, and all pertinent to statistics, particularly variances in pace, and elevation changes. I have used Google maps distance measuring to verify distances and MapMyWalk is quite accurate. Also, recovery from a battery power drain is robust. I would whole heartedly recommend this product, especially for someone committing to daily walks for improving cardiovascular and overall health. It is a real motivator to review my progress.

Inadvertent Pausing. This issue has happened a number of times on my iPhone. While walking, and using other apps, I’ve minimized this one only to find that the action of swiping up to close it has inadvertently paused it. That fact only gets noticed the next time I check it out. When there may be a lengthy period of time that is untracked. It might be wise to have a pause button and a secondary confirmation button to pause. It’s very frustrating to realize that the app has been inadvertently paused for a few minutes let alone an hour or more.

Love it, but glitchy. I use this app all the time. I love it for the most part, but some of the new features do not work correctly. When I try to share Facebook, it reverts to the standard picture no matter what special settings I modified. I really don’t want to post my calorie burn. Also, the app seems to have trouble with gps when it is overcast. Sometimes, I can get my three miles in 6.5K steps, but other times, it takes over 7K. That is a 5000 step difference for the same person. Not possible. Today, it froze up all together. I had to reinstall.

Talks over podcasts. Love everything about this app except that the voice (which tells you when you’ve reached mile+ and pace) talks over the top of podcasts and music. If you’re going on a long walk or run the more she has to say and therefore have to take time from workout to skip podcast back to hear the point it was making. I do enjoy the voice letting you know your mile and pace but just wish it would stop/pause music or podcasts and not drowning everything else out and then let play back music/pod when it was done speaking.

A very annoying app. All I want is a way to know how far I have walked, and see a map, and save. I do not want music, to share, or save photos etc. It frequently pauses without my touching it, then it often picks up so you don’t miss out on your total mileage BUT sometimes it pops up with hard to read questions, after which you can only cancel and lose your mileage, or share, or it asks for a review, no way to recover lost mileage. Also uses lots of battery charge. All Extremely annoying. Going looking for better app again.

Encouragement. Working with map my walk, especially the cumulative total distance, etc, is a big encouragement to keep going. I try for 35 to 40 miles per week - walking at a little over 3 mph. Not bad for a 77 year old. I started the regimen over 50 years ago following aerobics. Of course 50 years ago it was a pretty fas jog. Now at my age, and after two knee replacements, a lower back fusion and a pacemaker, during that period, I walk at a steady pace with a heart rate of 120.

Great app ..except. I have used several apps over the years to log my walks. This one has been the best so far! I love that I can add a photo when I finish my walk and add the walk to my log. Not sure what happened in the past few weeks (I did add an iWatch) but I am getting pop up messages on my phone & watch that this app wants to access my health data! This is annoying and I’m not going to connect the two - can’t seem to figure out how to stop the constant pop-ups or turn them off in the app, or in my iWatch or phone settings. Hate to delete this app, but I will to stop being annoyed!!!!

What happened to the calorie calculation??. An intense bike ride that would normally record ~600 calories is now giving me less than 200 calories?? I mean, I’ve lost a few pounds, but not that many! Lol. I have initiated walks/runs/rides from my phone and watch, all of which are less than half the calorie count I would expect. (I’m comparing to older UA workouts as well as four other apps - all of which are relatively close. The only one with a major issue is UA.) Wouldn’t be a huge deal, but whenever I come back to UA, this makes it much harder to close my activity rings. 😞 I’d like a little credit for putting the work in...

Can’t do this quickly. Today I’m frustrated. I forgot to get my app up before my walk. I am 74; I need glasses to see my phone, and I’m walking with a friend. As I leave the house I pull up my app. First, I have to look for glasses; second I’m in a screen I do not recognize. Disgusting apps with their multiple questions -share with a friend? Save walk? In all this I abandon my app and walk with my friend. Consequently I have done a poor job tracking my walks. I want fewer questions-I want to record walks, maybe I need a way to put in an estimated walk time for an unrecorded walk. I know if I do things beforehand I’ll do a better job keeping records. How about an app for frazzled senior walkers?

Review. While the app does well in terms of time and distance and speed slightly off on speed by two numbers. It is fairly off in terms of calories when using treadmill. While I understand using gps location when outside walking. Using it on a treadmill where you remain located in same place is rather confusing. I like the voice notification for the app and overall see this as a nice app. Though the calorie counting if relied on could create a excess workout more than needed.

Saved our day!. I downloaded Map my Walk at the last minute when starting a hike in Colorado. After 3 miles, we realized we were on the wrong trail and thought we were completely lost! We were able to figure out where we were because of the mmw app tracking our route. We were able to compare the shape of the hike we had made and compare it to maps of the area. I’m super happy with the feature that would announce our distance, average mile time and split time. Thank you!

Walking “Tammy 🐾”. Tammy 🐾 takes me for a walk at least 3 times a day which can very in time during each trip. I was curious about how far we traveled and looked for an “APP” that would give me a round about figure. “MapMyWalk” went above my expectations in mapping out not only in distance but also a geographic overview with traced our exact route in real time! I also could create a memory in adding photos of our surroundings and any point of interest that may occur! “3 thumbs up 👍” in my opinion! Skip & Tammy 🐾😎

A FANTASTIC APPLICATION.. 2 nd Revue Still the best App for Exercise. Always dependable. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Great App. I'm an amateur road warrior who rides his road bike 20 miles/day, four days a week. I am a solitary rider who bikes for distance and speed. That said, the app keeps me focused and encouraged...... sometimes pushing me ..........and other times congratulating me on my performance level. Being just a few days short of 76 yrs, the App does a world of good for me and my ego. I love it and it doesn't require an engineering degree to get it up and running. Thank you

4 1/2 stars, really!. Love this app! But….unless I’m really stupid, you can’t pre-map out a route on it. Have to go to the MapMyWalk website and have it upload to the app. Also can’t delete old routes from the app, only on the site. Love that it tracks you while you walk, and that you can hold your stats. I find the GPS to work well in my major city. If someone knows how to pre-map out a walk while in the app, please let me know. Or developers, add it to the functionality. App is nicely designed, super easy to view, very user friendly! And I’m a picky app reviewer!

Overall Very Good. I have used this app for 7 years and it has really helped me with distance and pace of my walking. I just recently downloaded IOS 14 and I don’t know if the issue I’m about to describe is due to that or an update in the app itself. I have the voice set to announce every 0.25 miles and it always worked well until this week. Now it is “rounding up” 0.25 and 0.75 and announcing them as 0.3 and 0.8 instead. It has always bern capable of saying 0.25 and 0.75 before. Yes it’s a minor issue but really annoying and I’d like to see it fixed.

Great but - 2 stars for no edit function. I really love this app. I use it nearly every time I walk. I yank 2 stars of a perfect rating because I frequently forget to stop the clock after my walk/run with my dog (also a distraction getting back in the car). I wish there were a more sophisticated editing function that would allow users to adjust workouts after the fact (not to add, but definitely remove). Additionally I would like to see some type of warning notification to sound if the app begins recording speeds and paces impossible for a human being (i.e., like driving in a car).

Best app for walking a dog. I really prefer to use this than Apple Watch native workout app, especially since it has dog walking as activity (Apple didn’t manage to add this in all the years). In combination with UA bluetooth sneakers it really gives some interesting stats to look at. But please, update the app so that it can use action button on AW Ultra, this would be really helpful to start the activity, especially if you are holding dog rope in one hand.

Chip’s Grandma. I am 77 years old and inherited my grandsons 12 year old dog that was replaced by a new puppy that the old dog beat up on every day. Even though Chip sleeps most of the day, he still goes crazy for a walk. All he has to do is see the harness and he is barking to go. I use Map My Walk to track our walk and we don’t stop until it tells me I have reached a mile. Never had a problem with it. Don’t use all the App has to offer but totally satisfied with how it records my walks with Chip. It’s a win-win walk for both of us.

Crashes about 70% of the time. Over all I love this app, but it's so frustrating that it crashes constantly now. The majority of my walks it crashes and I always realize it forever late and then it completely defeats the point of the app if it's not tracking what I'm doing. I walk to disconnect from technology so I hate having to constantly check my phone to see if the app is still functioning. I'm rating it so low to try and get the attention of the app designers to fix it. After it's running reliably I'd rate it a 5/5.

Voice feedback. I have the voice feedback set to give feedback every minute. My only complaint is that after some intervals the voice feedback does not come on. By far my biggest, and only real, complaint is when I am out getting ready for a hike and call up the map my hike app. A page comes up on the screen that asks if I want to join, or if I want to proceed as a member. I indicate that I am already a member and the screen asks for my password. I usually can’t think of the password at that time so I am unable to use the app. It doesn’t happen very often, but when it does, it is very frustrating.

Motivation. This app is amazing! It allows you to do free workouts when you don’t have the money to pay for premium! I haven’t worked out since I had my son 3 years ago and this app has helped me to ease my way back into working out! It’s not too hard but not easy either! It makes you work for your goal but not so hard that you injure yourself! I like how you can choose more than one goal for your workouts! You can also choose other workouts besides the daily 7! I will definitely be recommending this app to other women!

Awesome except splits…. I use this app every time I walk- for like the last 8 years or so. It is excellent and well worth the proce to me. My only issue is with split times, they are all over the place, off by up to several minutes one way or another per mile. More accurate split times would improve your app. It gets milage and average time well. (I have a pretty steady pace and do the same exact course almost each time so when my mile time is 3 or 4 minutes different, I know its a fault of the split time calculator). Anyway thanks for an otherwise great app. Aloha

Works great. I go for 5–6.5 mile walks over multiple routes and just want to know how far I have gone—I don’t need a lot of bells and whistles. This app has been the best by far of the half dozen I have tried over the last two or three years. The mapping is accurate and the app always works. Other apps would inexplicably shut down or restart and fail to measure my walks, but this Under Armour app has been solid. I was never a big fan of UA apparel or equipment, but I’m going to start checking it out too. Thanks

I like it, but would love it if….. It’s a great app that I use almost everyday. The reason for 4/5 stars is the Apple Watch app doesn’t close. I close the main app on my iPhone but the Apple Watch app stays on. Even if I swipe left and hit the red X on my Apple Watch it almost instantly reloads. This wouldn’t be a huge issue if it didn’t run in the foreground. If I want to see the time/weather/date/etc I have to click the side button a few times to go back to the home screen. Seems like an easy fix, but it’s been doing this for months now.

Very good GPS tracker. Ive used this app for quite a while. In fact used Map my Ride when it first appeared. I used it for riding, walking , everything prior to it becoming a UA app and group of apps. I like it very much. Its now about 10 yrs later, I'm 73, and they keeping on improving it. I still have my Polar HR monitor with its strap ( wish it worked with the UA apps); reason is that it does a better job of predicting exercise calories ( has a simulated Vo max program). Rambling now, so let me conclude by congratulating UA for continuing and improving the app.

Good app. I’ve been using MapMyWalk for a couple of years and it’s been great. However, today it started putting a big Share button over some of the stats after I finish and save a walk. This is really annoying as I like to do a screenshot of my walk to share on my Facebook fitness group, but now it cuts off my calories and other info. Very annoying! I have a large phone screen too so I imagine people with smaller screens would have even more data covered up. Please remove the huge Share button and replace it with something smaller that doesn’t obstruct the summary so much.
