Mac in customer service is awesome!!. I just recently became a paying member about a month ago. I wasn’t finding very many matches, mostly due to the area I live in being smaller. I wasn’t getting very many responses despite me being very intentional about reaching out to what little potential matches I would find or receive. As a paying member I was offered free dating coaching. I decided to try it out. It was a Friday night and I had no other plans. LOL! Anyway, Mac answers the phone with a very friendly and encouraging tone, and we start chatting. We looked at my profile together, discussed what was great and what could be better, and discussed how I was reaching out to potential matches, and if I was saying the right things (I was 😉). We discussed demographics and other ways to increase traffic and responses. We also talked about the fact that there are a lot of people on the site that are not paying members. They can still read your messages, but they cannot respond. There is a service that they offer, for a monthly fee, where your matches can respond to your messages! We discussed this in detail as well. The phone session was very pleasant and I learned a lot. I was starting to get a bit discouraged, but Mac was great at encouraging and helping me out. Thanks again Mac!

Feels money Grabby. Decided to finally break down and try this app/site since it’s so well-known, but am so far disappointed. First of all, it’s more expensive compared to many other apps/sites which I was ok with if it provided more opportunities and a better experience, but on the contrary the premium membership gives you less than other sites’ basic memberships and then asks for more money for add-ons that are scattered throughout the site which other apps give you built-in. Feels like buying an expensive airline ticket and them saying “Oh you want a seat too? That’s extra. Oh, you’d like to bring a bag? That’s extra too.” Another annoying experience was scrolling though profiles and accidentally sending a Super Like to a random person as I was trying to swipe. These are paid for entities and they should at least ask for confirmation to make sure mistakes like these don’t happen. How often does this happen? Now I question the Super Likes sent to me. So frustrating, and feels exactly like other money-pit apps that try to have accidents like this happen so you’ll have to buy more and therefore spend more in their app. There’s just some basic things that would make using this site more bearable. I don’t think I would recommend Match, there are so many other options out there.

“Celeste is the Best” Customer service. I’ve been on match and haven’t been able to connect with anyone even just to chat online. Don’t get me wrong I have likes and sometimes a message or two but nothing with substance. It was making me feel undesired or unapproachable 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I spoke with Celeste for a good 45 mins and got her honest opinion on my profile, pics and approach. I only had to edit a bit of my words and she helped me so that I could still show off my humor! I added captions to my pics and will now practice the 3 sentence rule! I appreciate the patience she had with me, was able to answer all my questions and concerns, and helped me revamp my dating profile! I’m grateful for her expert advice and encourage you to reach out for help if you too are having trouble meeting people. Thank you Celeste, and I know, I now have that confident profile that will attract the woman I am looking to date.

Match Recycles Old Likes...Why!!. Match does this really stupid thing where the “likes” you give to people will reset after only a few weeks. Your feed of people will just start to be a lot of the same people you’ve already seen. Perhaps it’s some ploy by the Match developers to keep a user engaged by never running out of people to show you in the area, but the problem is that you just end up liking the same people over and over again and expecting different results...It’s a form of insanity by definition! I’ve never seen any other dating app out there do this and it’s really annoying. As a user, it means that I cannot expand my options because the app will just reset instead of showing you new people...I can’t trust the app or this service to help me progress through my dating options if everything just resets after a few weeks. I also felt like the quality of people on this app were not a great as other apps. This service is so expensive! You might think it would lead to a better selection of higher quality people, but the reality is more people are going to be willing to pay a more reasonable price for other dating apps than this one. So don’t waste your money only to have your “likes” reset and for the quality of people to be less than more reasonably priced dating apps. Never again will I pay for this - Just not worth it!!

Unable to get any help with blocked account. I joined Match successfully last year and even wrote a review for their dating coach Bailey. I recently decided to try again and my account was blocked. I wrote an email to customer service and called in customer service line and spoke with Jay and Laura. They said that they couldn’t change the blocked status since email was already sent to block my account and I would have to reply to email, which I did. No response. FYI I am a child free woman over 40 who lives in tx and verified my phone number. My pictures are young looking said Laura. I do look young -was a model in my 20s so health and fitness are important to me. I went through interview, no swimsuit pictures or weird stuff on my profile. I am looking for a regular loving relationship. There is no reason that my profile was blocked other than someone is targeting specific groups of us. If you are somewhat attractive and you get the wrong person hating on your profile- beware, your account will be suddenly blocked. Spooky thing is, Laura and Jay in customer service were still looking and commenting on my profile while on the phone with me. So they’re obviously keeping the profiles they ‘block’ for something. I am so disappointed with this service. Complete waste of my time.

Scam billing. Read this review.. This app Banks off the fact that you’ll subscribe thinking it’s a one month purchase. Here’s how their scam works. You join the site make a profile and all that. Then their dating app coach(a chat bot) messages you. You try to view messages, a pop up comes up. In order to message buy a subscription. You think the lowest tier subscription is a monthly thing, think you'll give it a shot, someone is messaging you why not. Press purchase and you get billed for six month straight. After charges and everything it’s around 140 bucks. They bank off the fact that people make that mistake and it’s definitely set up for people to make that mistake. Read small fine print on your phone. Anyways, in order for you to get a refund it can be tricky. It took me a week and several times on both ends of match and apple. In the end it’s apple costumer service that gives you the refund. It took three different agent until I got one that refunded me my money. You need to make sure and explain to them everything and that it’s not an in-app purchase, that it’s a subscription purchases. They have to refund your money. Either way, it’s a shady app for doing that and the developers know what they are doing. Don’t waste your time with shady business. I’m not the only one this has happened too.

Hungry money thieves. If you think by buying the monthly subscription will get you a chance to meet someone and start a conversation out of nowhere, here’s the catch; Too many profiles with stolen photos, their moderator is set for you to believe that your profile is VIEWED also when you send a simple GREETING nobody answers. Did couple of experiments. Posted my photos “I am a good looking person, I do modeling” For one day my account after a certain amount of time sending messages the system stopped functioning properly, then all I was getting on my feed bunch of heavy set looking people xxxxL. There’s no point in buying a subscription; CALIFORNIA people you have 3 days to CANCEL if you want your money reimbursement other than that you gave away your money to the money hungry thieves. I have couple of friends who have tried this dating site and the same experiences; there are no real people and even if they’re out there in the system nobody is paying for messaging someone. If you still have doubts about it; this is a money making app too many profiles with moderators making it seem that it’s real people out there wanting to chat or make it seem that you’re not alone in their money making system. DONT GIVEN YOUR MONEY FOR FREE. For the people that pay subscriptions it’s a minority in 48 states and nobody in the real world in your neighborhood are subscribed....if you live in the big cities, don’t expect to find too many people, expect the fake accounts in a vast majority.

Subscription policy NOT clear. You can join for free. Likes and messages will be blurred. But this is where the Subscription is not clear. As with other dating apps, paying for a month, 3 months, 6 months, etc; you get the same features for that time period. Match has NEGLECTED to make this sign up clear. The standard $44 a month does NOT allow you to see likes or messages. To understand that fully, if you pay $44 and another person pays $44, you will not connect and cannot communicate. In order for that to happen you must pay $105+. The fact that this is not perfectly clear upon sign up goes against Apple/iTunes policy and is a clear indication that Match has lost all credibility in the dating app arena. This is an obvious attempt by Match to create an elite pool of people who want to only see and choose from people like themselves. Match has chosen to be an extension of a very real world problem. $44 to have no voice and $105+ just to get your foot in the door. 1) Match needs to establish clear sign up language .. what you cannnot do with a $44 subscription 2) Apple needs to remind its app developers that misinformation about subscriptions must be corrected or the app will be suspended.

Found my Husband/Father of my Kids Here!. I have every thanks to Match for helping me find my other half! I’m going on to write a review years later!!! We met 2016 and are now married and have one sweet girl and a boy on the way!!! I’m actually sitting nauseous in bed pregnant as my husband is out with our daughter doing some grocery shopping for us on a Sunday … no joke just so thankful for this app! I do have to say it really helped being very honest on the app and putting down exactly what I wanted … like … “I like to have fun but I’d like to settle down and have a family soon”. Mind you I was in my 30s already… and I got some back lash from guys who said I wouldn’t meet anyone saying that … low and behold I found a bunch of great dates (some were rotten apples)… and found my knight in shining armor!!! I always though it strange how people what to just movie status meet someone when their out and about… and fall in love instantly. Maybe that’s a thing… but I’ve never bought the first shoes I’ve ever liked…. And spend months looking for a prom dress… not sure why I’d have more patience to find things like that but not for a person I’d like to spend the rest of my life with…. I was patient and I’m so excited to be with this man 💕💕💕 hope everyone gets their dream person out there ^_^ I know it happened to me!

Insecure application. I understand that this is a developer app for whatever reason I am signed in as a developer although I do not develop apps my wife who I am trying to stay away from it’s constantly breaking into my account blocking people and I don’t find that very fair that she’s able to do that and I have no other way to complain besides put it publicly there’s no customer service number I would like for you to reach out to me please by telephoneI’m going to also leave a support message but when I tried to use Support message website I get rerouted to some other weird website in French I got back into my account and still having issues with people blocked or profile unavailable because I blocked them on the app itself which I never did , I can chick the box to unblock them but can’t submit it .. to finalize unblock who ever is doing this is same person messing with every app in my phone and off the App Store please match look into this situation deeper .. like I said my wife has control of all my emails and icloud accounts .. I’ve made many complaints still not a thing done to stop her

Don’t use these crooks. Poorest service of all. Beware they will suddenly shut your account down without warning or explanation. Even though you broke no policies. They claim you did but when you call for customer service you get nothing but a run around. When you leave a review they contact you as if they are concerned and want you to email them. You email them and they do nothing but continue the termination of your account. They stole my money that I paid for subscriptions. They are nothing but legalized crooks in my book. The lowest customer service around. They won’t contact you to ask about any concerns first. That’s a poor way to do business. Espionage a paying subscriber. I sent my number after a lengthy conversation and apparently they thought they knew more than me about when and who to send my number to. Sorry but that’s the customers business, not for Match to decide. So I called and went through the verification process and they still couldn’t unlock it. They contacted me saying I violated the policy. What did I do Fife? Answer me! I’ll get up in your face down in Texas. I was a legal person. You had my legal information. I never sent anything in a message that was sexual or any such thing. All I did was give someone my phone number and you instantly shut me down. I was a paid subscriber. You bunch of low down crooks!!! Fine! I’m on multiple other sites. Do something!!!

Not worth it. I am sick of wasting my time on free sites like Bumble and Tinder so I thought I could give match a try and hopefully find love. Well that’s not the case. Match assumes everyone who is on there is out to find love, but majority of the men that I see on match, I see on Tinder and 9/10 times they are just looking for a hookup. I’ve used Bumble plus before and the nice thing is they have an advanced filter option that allows you to filter what you are looking for and how it matches up with what the other person is looking for. Example you can put a filter on people who strictly have looking for a relationship and wants kids and you will only match with people that have those two filters. I wish match had that. Also I think it’s stupid that you cannot filter through premium and free members. Most of them are using it for free and there’s honestly no point of swiping through because majority cannot even message or send anything in return. I am fairly young and pretty attractive, as I’ve been told, but finding love on match is impossible. I thought paying an extra $40 was worth it, but so disappointed. This is seriously like tinder, but the only difference is you get charged $40 each month for it. I have already canceled and do not plan on returning.

Materialistic app. I’ve used many apps and most of them are full of bots , match is good in the sense that there are real people . My issue is that I am not rich or “successful” and just a person tired of being contacted by bots or scammers and match seems to control that . My issue is that they are not inviting to regular people who are looking for love and not just materialistic things. I am in between finances and it seems that only well off people use this app . I paid for 6 months and I see a buncha models looking for their lawyer or doctor person cuz they want financial freedom . It’s frustrating because everyone’s story is different but as a person who’s trying to look for a connection and not just appearances , you get overlooked . It saddens me that this is what we’ve come to. It’s a measuring contest of who has more to show than the next person . Ima let my 6 months run out and I’m done because it’s not about the inside , it’s about the outside and how much money you have in the bank. I’m disappointed. I wear my heart on my sleeve and use honesty but it’s not enough. But if you have money and are money bags you will find plenty of people willing to take your money . I would like for once to find a dating app that just deals with connection rather than “what can you provide for me financially” . It’s best for those who already have money and established , not so much for the underdogs with big hearts who just want a chance at love

Zero stars. Thought it was going well and was actually finding women I wanted to chat with. Had a paid subscription. Then out of nowhere, my account was blocked for no reason. I called customer support (the number to call is hidden. Must do some research to find it) ,received no explanation over the phone and said they would be back with me in 24 to 48 hrs and would reply via email. It took more like 5 days to get back with me. The only explanation by the email I received was it was in the best interest of the Match community due to the terms of use. That’s bs, a pre-generated email, and a cop-out to elude the question. They never gave me any good reason. I never did anything that I know of to cause this. I had deleted my account once before I had a paid subscription and tried to use the same email when I signed up for paid but it wouldn’t let me in even though their email said I could just pick up where I left off. Not true! So I used another email. I don’t know if that was why they blocked me but if it was they are relying too much on the computer system to make decisions because it may have seen it as a duplicate. Another thing is that a lot of the profiles seem to be fake and are only there to spark your interest in paying for a subscription. I will never use Match again and do not recommend anyone to use it.

Garbage. I got really excited when I saw that there was a dealbreaker option for some of the criteria. It states that match will never try to connect you with someone who meets your dealbreaker criteria. However just like all of these other dating apps. It’s a lie.I have about 50 examples of this. I wish I could post the screenshots without violating anyone else’s privacy. Not only do they want you to pay to see the one or two people that may have swiped on you (that you won’t even like) but they won’t allow you to respond if someone sent you a message in the free feature. That tells me that this application wants nothing to do with matching people together, but instead exploiting people for money for services that don’t properly work in the first place. Why should I pay you extra for services and features that clearly aren’t working properly on the free version? There are plenty of people on here who don’t require a dating coach like Mac, because they’re not serial killers. Why don’t you try putting up some more honest reviews about how poor the service is so that people don’t waste of time downloading this to their devices? Thank you. For your attention. A very dissatisfied user. Ernest S.

Will not let users delete their profiles. I am very disappointed that, unlike most other apps (e.g. Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid), Match does not allow you to delete your profile. You can cancel your subscription, or make your profile invisible, but you cannot delete it. This means that, (a) they’re keeping your data forever, and (b) they are creating incentives for you to return to the app. Dating apps make money by keeping people on the apps as long as possible - in this case, by luring people back to the app, because if you find love through their platform and delete your account, that’s the point where they stop profiting from you. Although the practice of not allowing users to delete their profile is not illegal as far as I can tell, it is essentially kidnapping of your data and your online identity. Even the much more casual apps like Tinder do not do what Match does. This hijacking mentality of Match disgusts me. UPDATE: Bumping from 1 to 3 stars as after contacting customer service, someone was able to delete my profile by hand. However, the process is still manual and in my case took approximately a week. It would be nice if this could be automated and users given the ability to do so themselves.

Not getting any better…. This is my second review on match. I’m sad to say that nothing is gotten any better, in fact it’s just gotten worse. Originally I was disappointed that I had spent so much time building a profile on the site and actually purchasing the premium membership to find little to no matches at all. But add insult to injury after I posted my previous review, now I can’t even utilize any of the premium services that I had originally purchased… The most basic of which being the ability to send messages. Now that I finally do have a couple of matches, when I go to send messages to them, they simply don’t send. And because Match does not have a live customer service pool that you can reach out to, there’s no one to address the problem. It’s just one thing after another with this app. If you think about it, it makes more sense, the business model is only sustainable if people don’t match up. That way they keep you paying, and they keep you on the site, and they keep you as a customer! This whole app is just a gigantic rip off, quite frankly I think all these dating apps are probably just a giant rip off. Whatever happened to meeting someone in the supermarket for chrissake!

Do not pay, it’s a complete scam. I just finished my 6 month subscription, and I will most definitely not be renewing. I started with the free version, but decided to pay in order to see all of the amazing men in my area that were viewing and liking my profile. I was instantly disappointed. Then over the course of 6 months, I would get maybe 2 or 3 view a month. I matched a few people, but they seemed to be bots who would never respond or would make plans just to cancel and refuse to connect via text or anything other than the site. I’ve made not a single real connection throughout my time on the site. They have max 10 available people on their discover feature, often times showing people that don’t fit the set filters. Even when I removed pretty much all filters, I was shown no people. Save your money and check out one of the other “free” sites. They’ll have more people, and you’ll make better connections. Match is simply a scam. I wish I could get my money back and will continue to let everyone I know aware of the poor quality of this app.

Scam/money grab. You have to pay to actually match. I paid for a week just to try it out and found that the people who liked me were the first ones I saw in my “discover” and once my subscription had run out, I never saw another person who had liked me and there is no way to see them unless I pay again. I had also bought some super likes to match with my highlights but once I no longer had the paid subscription, I was unable to use the super likes on my highlights. They do not want you to actually match with people unless you are paying. Women beware, men are also allowed to send an initial message to let you know they are interested (which is fine) but then they can continue to message again and again and again until you are forced to block them. Match used to be awesome. You were prompted to answer a bunch of questions about yourself and your ideal date and then would get 7 matches based on the compatibility of your questionnaire. If those weren't of interest, you could search singles in your area based on your dating criteria. Now it’s just a joke. I’m deleting my profile and the app immediately. I was so hopeful because I used match 11 years ago and met my son’s dad on it but it’s definitely not what it used to be.

Account was hacked!!!. Someone hacked my account and liked as many men over 60 as they could. I was inundated with e-mails and saw that someone was asking for phone numbers from these men. I caught in in the process of it happening and changed my password. I had to quickly try to run damage control and message the men to not text anyone claiming to be me because my account was hacked. A couple said thank you, but wouldn’t stop messaging me. It took Match a whole day to help after I messaged them. I then started trying to unmatch some, and they found me and started messaging me on LinkedIn. Every day after, new matches kept popping up that the hacker had liked. I told Match about it, and stated that it was a defamation of character by this hacking, as I had to alert people to it, as it was someone trying to scam them. I also told Match that I wanted a refund as I hadn’t used fully a month of a 3 month membership yet. I did not want be on the site any longer as it was a growing disaster. They refused and deleted my account. There was not even any quality people on this site! Save your money and try any other site. This is the worst quality dating site that I’ve seen to date. Even awful Tinder would be better.

DO NOT GET, ITS A SCAM. I thought I’d give this website a chance but since the beginning it has been problem after problem. I severely regret getting a subscription for such a fraudulent website. They make it impossible for you to cancel your account and don’t get back to you quickly, not to mention that all the messages you send to them to complain are all automatic messages that don’t help at all. The people on match are also a disgrace—I have been harassed by perverts and match allows anyone to message you so you can’t control who is allowed to message you. Not to mention the filters on match to determine who you want to match with are worthless—they show everyone, not applying the filters at all. I have had log in issues time after time and can’t even access my account because their software is out of date. I have found MUCH better matches on Bumble and even Tinder. Match has VERY low quality matches and is extremely over priced for its mediocre service. I thought this site was great from all the commercials I saw, ITS A SCAM, be aware and don’t get a subscription!

Very bad App. Got blocked for no reason at all! I had Match a long time ago and thought about giving it another try. I just signed up again but not as a paid Subscription. And people were sending me messages I can’t see because I am not a paid Member, so I can’t see their messages, and can’t reply to there messages unless you pay. I was trying to figure the app out, and I was Blocked for absolutely no reason at all! I called there customer service number and the lady said that I was going to get a email to unblock my account, I have not gotten any emails from match at all. So I called them back again and got another lady on the phone and she absolutely did not care at all. This time the customer service person said I have to wait 24 to 48 hours for someone to email me and fix this. I was just about to purchase a Subscription! Lucky I didn’t purchase anything from Match. Also why is it cheaper to purchase a subscription on the internet for $38? and on the app for $47? That’s just wrong for them to do that. Still waiting for Match to send me a email to unblock my account! Look at all the bad reviews on here about Match! Unfortunately what a terrible site it has turned out to be! Customer service is not good at all! A total wast of time.

Company isn’t listening to reviews. Match makes you pay to see/message people that you match with, when there are many quality dating apps out there that don’t. And the subscription itself is incredibly overpriced when compared to other dating services. Everyone is leaving reviews with feedback similar to this. And the developer response is always the same. “We are a high intent dating app and thus charge for a service…blah blah blah.” I doubt they’ll listen to or integrate this feedback, but you have to have free basic services to even entice anyone to consider signing up for a paid service. Seeing matches and being able to message them is free on the most popular dating apps (who are also “high intent” dating services), the only restriction being you only get a certain amount of “swipes” per day unless you pay for premium services. Then the swipes become unlimited and there are other benefits included. I have paid for other app services because of this. Match will continue to get low App Store ratings and struggle as a company/service until they figure this out and get with the times. Until then, low ratings are unfortunately much deserved.

Terrible. Match is owned my the Match Group. Look them up. You'll see they own most dating platforms out there such as Tinder, Plenty of Fish, OkCupid, OurTime, etc. They are in business to make money for their shareholders. They want to keep you a paying subscriber as long as they can. Without a subscription and they add-on to allow non-subscribers communicate to you. The majority of women are non-subscribers. They may talk to you, but you will definitely communicate with scammers. The majority of the profiles are fake. It's just disguising. Match may take one away, but there are a hundred more following ... day in, day out. Match does next to nothing to stop the fake profiles from initially getting on the platform. If you're silly enough to believe the fake reviews here or on other review platforms - just treat EVERY profile as fake. Start looking for the things a genuine profile has such as multiple photos of the same person matching the characteristics in the profile, a blue tick, a green clover, a favorite song, a voice sample, and a completed profile giving a good response to all the sections. The more of the latter, the greater your chance this is a genuine profile. Unfortunately, these profiles are few and far between. Before subscribing, you could look at the profiles and see what I mean. If you're silly enough to have subscribed, go turn off auto-renew. If I could give them zero or negative stars, I would. Good luck

“Mac is Where it’s at!” (LOL I KNOW IT’S CORNY). So I came here to give my Match Coach a glowing review, just to be pleasantly surprised that he has this same impact on others as well! I called to receive consultation for general dating advice, such as moving too fast, not ignoring red flags (or intuition), and giving others the benefit of the doubt by being willing to engage in difficult conversations; all tips that Mac was able to provide! Mac was superb in his guidance and was able to offer the advice in a nonjudgmental and unbiased manner. He was also able to set a personal tone for the conversation while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. Truly, there is no wonder as to why his experiences with other customers has already been highlighted as a “top rating”, and I couldn’t agree more! I hope he is recognized internally for his expertise in this field, especially since a lot of people are looking to connect online these days (#Quarantine 😩). Thank you very much for your service, Mac! Keep up the good work, the world needs you! Lol P.S. 5 Stars are not enough!!

Terrible Customer Service. DO NOT subscribe! I subscribed for a package because I got a big discount. I ended not really using the service…didn’t really respond to messages or likes. Just wasn’t for me (this is on me, not match). What IS on match is how messed up their customer service and policy is. I forgot to cancel my subscription and got an email notification it had renewed. I immediately cancelled, put my profile on not visible and emailed customer service to request a refund explaining the situation. They flat out refused after a couple exchanges and THEN had the nerve to ask my feedback about the service. Seriously!? I get if I had requested a refund well after being charged that they couldn’t help but the second after it went though and you can’t do anything? No understanding for people who have a million other things going on that they let this thing slip? Nothing? That’s how these people get your money…they play off and hope that everyone just forgets the thing renews automatically and then screw you over after. Don’t trust them. You’re better off with a free dating app…there are plenty out there that are ways better than match.

Misleading and Borderline Fraudulent. Beware, like seriously beware. Match has you to sign up, create a profile, answer some questions, and upload your photos. Match does all of this without disclosing they charge you if you respond to a message you sent to someone they supposedly match with you. There’s more to this review, read it fully. I want you all to seriously research this app and please be cautious at every step. Once your profile is set up you will be sent a few random likes/matches who you can’t see and magically you will be able to respond to those likes/matches, however they are not real individuals. Your responses will go unanswered. You will soon realize the profiles are not active users and the ones that are number into the teens. They advertise millions of users, they really mean millions of users signed up and realized it was a scam and ditched the site. You are left with liking profiles that haven’t been active for years. Then you wake up one morning like I did and see your account is charged over a hundred dollars. Apple fixed this for me and when I went to delete the account guess what happened; magically there were two new matches or likes which were not there before and the matches photos were hidden. The photos were not there minutes before Apple refunded to my account those fraudulent chargers. I literally watched this scam in real time. This is a scam and I can see a class action lawsuit in the near future for this website. Stay away!

Get ready to be undewhelmed. If you think Match is going to be different than the other dating apps out there, it isn’t. They advertise the highest success rate of all the dating apps, but when you’re the oldest with most users in the game, of course you’ll have the best numbers to manipulate for marketing purposes. I thought Match would attract a different class of dater due to the high cost of premium features (more than any other app I’ve tried), but the only difference I've noticed is fewer catfish/malicious/instaho accounts. I was trying to get out of the hookup culture of the other apps (not trying to brag, but I did well) and actually meet someone with potential for a serious relationship, but matches either don’t respond to messages at all or disappear after the first exchange. The era of the dating app is ending, don’t waste your time or money swiping on the same profiles again and again (Match will re-serve the same profiles every couple of weeks). Two stars, only because the UX is the most stable I’ve experienced and there are dramatically fewer fake accounts than on the other apps.

Overall dissatisfaction. I pay for a premium subscription. I’ve used Match before but not sure why I came back. My profile either isn’t shown to people I have a lot in common with or there are not many real profiles to choose from that have much in common. The ones that are “especially chosen for me,” the Highlights, you can only ‘like’ if you pay extra money for permission to like them with a special star, and almost always include dealbreakers, so what’s the point? I’ve asked Match why they’d suggest these people whose profile include dealbreakers and the answer is pretty much that this category doesn’t care about your dealbreakers. So why highlight them to me? Smh. “Meet” feature will include profiles you’ve repeatedly passed on. The only profiles with detailed bios that seem like great ppl I have things in common with end up being inactive or staged - either shows them to be perpetually online but never check messages or look at other profiles who view them, or haven’t been online in over 30 days but the profile is still up. I’ve read news about Match doing this. They have no customer service phone number. Very expensive for what you get.

Worst Dating App experience yet. This community of users on Match is horrible. There is zero indication of human existence outside of random people “viewing” your profile. From the male perspective, I believe strongly that women need to work on contribute more substantially to conversations than more than 3 word responses... if you even GET to a mutual match. There is also a feature to “like” someone, which in my opinion has the same effect as a friendly “wave” to someone; women in this community will not even like your profile. I am hesitant to believe EVERY profile of a woman who views you will not like and/or message back because there is the paid subscription barrier. Either way, this service has been worthless as 90 percent of profiles are inactive, and the “discover” feature shows nothing close to set manual preferences, let alone the age and location preferences. Never give this company money for subscriptions. Nobody gets anywhere with it, possibly from the necessary paid subscription service, but also possibly due to a lack of commitment and enthusiasm in this community of users. You are better off using Hinge or Tinder. Would give Match zero stars if I could.

Buyer beware!. Very poor experience with this vendor. I will be honest and admit that I put little to no effort into my “search” on here and maybe my few responses was somewhat my own responsibility. My concern is that I had decided to abandon the app and set it to NOT auto renew. Today, they tried to run my card for a renewal despite my settings and I have had to get in touch with my card provider to fix it! Also, when I try to get into their website to close the account I was unable to login despite knowing that my login credentials were correct. An entirely suspicious train of events that leads me to question the integrity of this vendor. I have heard of similar experiences from other users. So, like I said, buyer beware! Update. As soon as I closed my account and revert to the “free” version, I receive four “likes” within three days. This after nothing on the paid version for months. Highly suspicious indeed. This really is nothing more than a total scam and it is such a shame as they could actually make MORE revenue by NOT being a scam. Whoever runs this company is a complete idiot!

Match has Excellent Customer Service. I had a customer service/dating coach phone call with Bailey. I wanted help with updating my profile and how to approach/receive more messages online. She was VERY helpful and so encouraging!! She was so friendly!! She went over my pictures with me, and my entire profile. I just needed one more full-body picture and headshots taken by someone else instead of selfies. We went over my topics I answered. And the summary as well. She read the whole thing and gave specific suggestions like shortening it and adding details here and there. She was also very helpful/encouraging with some insecurities I had about online dating and just dating in general. We talked about various things and then she also told me to be confident, and while it’s a numbers game and it can be hard with ghosting/silence, to remember the end goal of being with the right person for me. She was great! I was feeling discouraged but she gave specific, helpful, candid feedback while being so encouraging and friendly! And I feel ready to keep going lol. I’m so glad I got Bailey as my dating coach on the phone!

Too many inactive accounts. This app is just a money-maker for the developers. They couldn’t care less if matches are made and give you the illusion there are most people out there by maintaining old, inactive accounts. Furthermore, even though I have “dealbreaker” items checked, I keep getting shown people who perform those activities. There’s even a consultant-like person who would suggest potential matches. The initial communication from this person stated I’d have one within 48-72 hours (I can’t remember which), but nothing showed up for a week or more. A single suggestion…. In a week. Now we’re past 2 weeks and nothing more has happened. Finally, I get a weekly email about my use; how many messages I sent and received. Todays email states that I “received 3 less messages.” I haven’t received ANY messages in the last week. In fact, the only messages I’ve ever received (several weeks ago) is from one individual I wasn’t interested in. I’ll use this app until the subscription expires, but no longer, and I suggest you avoid it too.

Blocked for no reason. I was blocked because someone was unhappy with one of my responses. I was not aggressive in my response to him whatsoever. I simply defended myself and did not attack him. He was just extremely emotional and acted irrationally by reporting one of my messages out of anger. I attempted to appeal the report but the process was extremely painful and the company refused to give me an actual reason for why my message was deemed inappropriate (I’m still currently trying to get a response from someone). This aggressive and emotional person gets to continue reporting messages when he decides to get angry. I would suggest not bothering with this app. If you accidentally make the wrong person angry you could end up in the same position that I’m in. The app is too expensive for this type of stress. As an update, I did e-mail the address that the moderator has been suggesting to people a couple of days ago. I have not received a response so I still have no idea why my message was worthy of termination. To my knowledge, the person that acted irrationally gets to remain on the app and report people that he doesn’t agree with. I still highly suggest not bothering with this app. Apple did refund me so I’m very thankful for that, but the app was not worth this stress. It puts people in very unfair situations.

Old likes and messages kept being recycled. I have used this apps for a while now. Each time I was thinking I’d give it more time, or another chance. I am not going to repeat most of what other reviewers have posted. Here is my quick version: PROS: 1. Let’s you see if the other person is a subscriber, which was very useful to me. Other apps don’t do that and many times you would send a message and wonder why you never get a message or at least a click on your profile from that person. 2. The format is more structured than other apps 3. Good customer support. CONS: 1. Way too many scammers. On average, I would get at least 10 a day. I kept reporting, yet I kept seeing same profile photos and messages. 2. The site recycles ‘likes’ and ‘messages’ from profiles who I either delete or ignore as I don’t find them compatible. This is not right and I don’t appreciate it. 3. When you open the apps, it keeps open to certain profiles that I have ignored, making the other person thinks that I keep viewing his profile…and it gets awkward, so I was forced to delete or block these profiles. 4. Most profiles on here, if real people, are just looking for a quick date, sex. Very rarely I would see one decent profile. I am now done with this app. I wish something could be done about the bots, scammers, and get better profiles on here. I was also using Zoosk..if it’s any consolation, Match is a lot better than Zoosk (this site is like a swamp), but I wouldn’t subscribe again.

Never ever again!!!. Mind you absolutely no one is screened. When I contacted Match they told me every account is approved also to make sure they were not fake accounts. My response no you do not!!!! I met a gentleman on Match (first experience with any dating app) We talked text everyday at least 2-3 times a day. He said all the right things kind and compassionate. We have been chatting for at least a month and we’re getting together last Sunday. Though I fell for him something was not feeling 100% so I contacted a private investigator he contacted me shortly after giving all the information through text said CALL ME DO NOT GET IN THE CAR WITH HIM. Needless to say they were not his photos the private investigator showed me where and name of who’s account he took the photos from. He had a record and was considered dangerous! Thank god I went with my gut. I gave Match all this information and said to them so what you wait until someone is murdered. I was hurt, disappointed but learned a painful lesson. DO NOT GO ON MATCH IT IS DANGEROUS! Also if anyone is looking for a Private Investigator to check out who you are meeting reach out. He could of possibly saved my life.

Misleading. I signed up, finally time to “get out there”. I am a woman seeking same. When you set up a profile saying that- you would think you would only get matched with people seeking your gender preference. No. Lots of men messaged me. Lots of profiles with cutesy names, concern for my safety as a lot of the profiles were very scammy. Seemingly a lot of straight women, which is a red flag. I stated I had no kids, and I don’t want kids (deal breaker) kept getting shown profiles of people with kids. People from other states were suggested to me though my radius was 50 miles. I had paid for the minimum- which was still a stupid amount of money and it improved nothing. Just constant up selling. Made me absolutely decide I’m going to embrace spinster life. Because the process is broken. I requested a refund because I only had my profile live for 48 hours and it was such an upsetting process- no reply from customer service. I disputed charges with my bank for lack of service. I doubt I’ll get that back. Stay far away from this - unless you’re a cis, white guy, or looking to scam unsuspecting lonely people.

Trickery. Not even for a moment I believe them not allowing you to permanently delete your profile yourself is something they don’t know or fail to do. They simply are tricking people into leaving their profiles running to keep traffic and user count. You could even be swiping on profiles whose users stopped using the app a long time ago. While it’s not illegal it’s extremely unprofessional and looks very bad on a widely known app like Match. Every other dating app has the feature except this. And we always go back and forth on them but I have since deleted my photos on match and changed my name, AND deleted their app to never download again. Others can do the same thing it does but with respect to privacy. Privacy is everything and seems it’s last thing they respect. Don’t trick people into leaving you with their data. What if someone found a partner and their profile remains there coz they can’t delete it? And I don’t want you to help delete my profile, I want to delete my profile myself and see it go away, not log in again to find it waiting as if it never left. I regret putting my information in there

Crap. I've been meaning to write this for months now but haven't made the time till recently. This dating app is without a doubt THE WORST dating app I have ever used. Even BADOO is better than this one. It's overpriced, the matches are terrible, and what's actually kind of insidious about the app is the developers mock you after awhile just because you don't bite on their matches. They've sent me notifications such as"we know you're a ten, but..." (when I'm clearly not a ten). So via this review I am reporting the developers for both harassment and the deliberate deprecation of both my appearance and character. And just so you know guys, just because I'm not interested in dating some 3 that is neither interesting nor attractive doesn't make me picky, it means I have standards and that I don't settle for the first thing desperate enough to be pawned off to any sap that will have her. Believe it or not, even non-ten guys have standards. It's not our fault you're bad at delivering quality matches that don't come anywhere close to suiting our needs and meeting our expectations. Pretty sure that is a YOU problem. You shouldn't be passive aggressive towards your customer base just because you're bad at doing your job or because I don't want to marry some second hand, freeloading pig with three kids who's hit the wall, and desperate to lock down a second source of income before she gets any worse. Again, excuse me for having basic standards 🤷🏻.

Algorithm problem?. I’m updating my review to tell you all how bad the “free” version is.... you can’t see anything, do anything, send messages or receive message or read anything or talk to anyone or ANYTHING!! And they charge a freaking fortune!! $40 stupid dollars to send a sentence to someone? This is bull****. All the other apps at least let you send a sentence. Or if they want you to pay it’s not $40 freaking dollars. I’m a “woman seeking woman” and tons of men show up in my filters. So I talked to them and they said “oh you need to report those profiles...” so I did... over and over and over again. Probably 40-50 reports so far? Waste of my time. I edited my profile once and added some info about my likes and it got denied. After the staff reviewed my edit and denied it, they said I was “revealing too much personal information”....ummmm I added that I liked hiking. So if you can review and deny edits such as mine you can review and deny profiles of men posing as women.... Also I get the same people cycled through my “discover now” tab. So people I have X’d out multiple times keep showing up in my search. And also people I have “liked” or messaged also keep showing up so in order to get past it I have to either like or X them once again. And I’m paying for this? When I reported these issues they weren’t much help. Fix your algorithm. And the men showing up are the most annoying. Review demographics.... as much as you reviewed my “I like hiking” and denied my edit.

Poorly designed and ineffective due to low user population. I thought I would give Match a try because I can afford paid subscriptions, and I thought I might find potential partners who were also serious about dating (by filtering out people who are just trying apps for fun, since they wouldn't pay). But there's no way to tell if someone is a subscriber. Worse yet, I found that where I live, in one of the 5 largest cities in America, there are only about 800 accounts of women ages 28-35 within a reasonable distance, and the vast majority (80-90%) are inactive. I paid for the "anyone can reply" feature and sent dozens of messages to "recently active" members, and only a handful even ended up viewing my profile. It could be fake profiles, or maybe women get spammed so much they have to ignore most messages - either way, there's no way it can work. I've had at least some success meeting women IRL on other apps, so I'm not writing a bad review because I'm bitter about dating, this app was just literally useless for me. I think most of the success stories are from years ago when Match was different (pre-smartphone), and people hadn't moved on to newer options. I spent almost $200 on this and I'm fortunate enough that it's not a significant amount of money for me, but I feel really bad for anyone who isn't so lucky and wasted their money.

Inconsistent. Had this for about 8 months between the premium and standard subscription, and I’ll say I only had success with meeting one person that had Genuine interest. My issue was the inconsistencies. It seemed like a had a few matches but when reaching out with a message I would get few reply’s, to some at which I was curious if these were just bot accounts. After some time I just stopped using it on weeks end. Recently, I did a renewal (by accident) because I didn’t intend on auto renewal to be active so here I am with another month. The past week though I was actually getting quite a few matches, and ones that seemed like Actual matches with similar interest. Long story short I had a match that finally seemed worthwhile and we had a lot of common as she said the same to. Finally, I was thinking to myself that this match thing was all worth it and it just takes time to get good matches. Buttttt moments later i check my messages to come to find I was unmatched…The thing is I find that I meet more people at the gym, work, or general public rather than what my experience was on here. Sure, everyone is likely to get unmatched quite a few times, but for me it was more about having inconsistent non responsive matches and then having one match just go down the drain after spending a lengths time talking. Surly not worth it for the price you pay . This overall was not my cup of tee.

Not to the standard of other apps. I've at least tried most of the dating apps while in college and living life. I've seen successes and failures so I have a pretty good idea of the quality and opportunity for engagement with who you like. The first issue with Match is that they keep sending me repeated profiles that I've already liked. I have no idea if this is a glitch or what but I'm seeing duplicate past profiles every 6-10 swipes. In terms of "free" features they don't really offer much. I have no incentive to consider buying your subscription if you don't even give me the opportunity to see what it could do for me. Giving the periodic "superlike" that most apps use is such a simple way to boost engagement for users. The last issue is the fact I'm always running out of people to swipe on and I've probably only had it for a week? I use the same parameters with all dating apps so does this mean no one is using the app or you're limiting who I can view? TLDR: glitching, no enough profiles, not enough incentive and engagement when looking at other dating apps

Guess I was unlucky???. I bought the 6 month membership at a discount, I get a monthly boost every month. This app honestly could be alright for some but so far not me. It felt like a mix of things were happening, either 1. I wasn’t being shown to other ppl on the app even with noisy mode 2. The ppl on the app either weren’t interested (which is normal) or they forget how the app works cause they are just waiting for a like rather than looking themselves. 3. The matches I’ve been getting have been sadly a lot of basic ppl or Ppl who are immature. 4. In 6 months I did not get a single like at all (most saying cause on bumble id get likes from ppl I wouldn’t be interested in) but seriously not a single like while I had a paid service. I got more likes on bumble in 6 months and I had a few account. In the end so far this app is a failure to me. But I’m not giving up hope on finding someone out there wether in person or through the app. Can’t say you shouldn’t try it just cause it didn’t work for me, who knows it might work for you. To anyone reading this best of luck finding that special someone in your life. Don’t give up.

Paying is not worth it.. Match uses an algorithm to sort out your best picks separately from the generic catalog in a section called “Highlights” where you have to pay extra for “Super Likes” in order to correspond or contact them even when you’re already a paying member. I thought I was paying to see ALL the potential matches that have signed up, but that is not the case. You will not see these people in the regular “Discover” section. Hence, I would venture to guess that they use the information you provide against you to sort out your most desirable picks to force you to spend more to connect with them. They also really botched things in attempting to create a new user interface that is exceptionally complicated and definitely not user friendly. It is near impossible to scroll and read what someone wrote. Whoever engineered that design should be fired. The structure is awkward to use. A dating app makes more money the longer you stay single, so factor that into the situation and you will start to see how Match operates in their best interest, not as a service to yours. 😉

It doesn’t actually MATCH like it COULD. I would happily pay for an upgraded membership if I thought I was getting what I am looking for. There are so many apps, it’s overwhelming and would be nice to have a trusted “go to” site. A 24 hour free trial would attract more users as we could quickly determine if the features are worth it. Here’s why I think MATCH doesn’t match at all and EASILY could do so. When I block members, they don’t even stay blocked, so why would I pay? With the virtue signaling vaccination badges, I should be able to search for people that are vaccinated or are NOT because that’s important to me. Political views are another pretty important filter for compatibility. Hello… Maybe I want to look up astrology signs… the moon controls the ocean, right? I’m sick of their matches for who they think I should be compatible with because they are extremely wrong every time. I am actually embarrassed for their brand! The bottom line- They don’t even bother letting you actually customize your preferences and they EASILY could add more filters. Other sites do it. So don’t they want to be the BEST? Why can’t subscribed members message others and they get to reply for free creating a win win and less frustration all around? So WHY would I want to upgrade and PAY for such mediocre service?

Match has lost its value. Here’s what I found out as a guy. You want to pay just to message? Do this app. You want to get ghosted by females, message a tone with nice open ended questions, and even open your range to over 100 miles and still not get over 10 matches? Do this app. Want to look up how this app is losing value - then research “match no longer offers match guarantee.” Match is losing value due to their shady “pay to message” or “pay to see who liked you”. And once you do pay - you know what happens? You don’t get your money back and all those likes were just false because more than half of them will disappear. Your likes? Recycled. People view your profile (if lucky) of those you may have liked or have a open ended message - or match with(if you are even luckier) someone who will likely ghost you within 3 days or less. Oh I forgot to mention, half of the profiles are fake. Don’t believe me? You ever notice how a lot of photos can be blurred or out of position (cropped poorly) and no more than 2 photos. Yeah - match has lost its value and at this point men are given the run around. Don’t put your money in this. I can tell you - you will get more matches on tinder, bumble, even “ok Cupid”. And most of those are free messaging. Your welcome.

Overpriced hookup site. I’m appalled by this experience. I took the time to thoughtfully fill out my profile with the expectation I’d find more matches in line with my responses to their match making questions than not. I appreciate and recognize that these services also offer up other profiles to help showcase matches that could be good matches outside of what we profile. I embrace and encourage an open and growth mindset in all aspects of my life. That said, the matches they matched me with could not be polar opposite 99% of the time. Even matching me on 2% wasn’t feasible. And their “coaches” are either AI bots (poorly programmed) or they don’t take match making serious. Every two weeks, I would get a recommendation that led with “we know you aren’t ideal matches, but you two both have a dog or you both drink in moderation. Why don’t you reach out and start a conversation.” Then they’d send me offers to sign up for this service. Are you serious?!? This is acceptable match making services you feel people should pay for on top of your subscription access? And by the way, they’d send me these recommendations on profiles I passed on (because Match forces you to like or pass on a profile before seeing the next one). I’ve never done services like Tinder because I’m not looking to take advantage of their value proposition. I invested in Match to ultimately find a partner. What I experienced is a paid version of Tinder.

Lacking transparency - don’t waste your money. This app is a nightmare and not straightforward at all. I downloaded it sometime in 2020 and used for about a month then stopped, guess I wasn’t too keen at the time. Decided to give it another try and resubscribed last month and that was a huge mistake.!!!!!! First off, the rate was increased and the same package I had last time was greatly downgraded in terms of offering (no real difference from the free version) I called to cancel immediately and request a refund but the service personnel informed me that they had moved the ability to do basic stuff like see your likes and chat to the premium version however I would be given that access as a courtesy for the month since I had no knowledge of the changes and I would be charged the premium rate for renewal. I agreed but that was not the case a few days later I was locked out again and called it in and was told that only 3 days was given not the month as I was told and they could provide access for another 3 days. I feel so cheated because I believe I was being delayed so as to pass the threshold for the subscription reversal I called in to do within 3 mins of paying. Total scam!!!

Encourages Shallowness, Horrible. Historically Match was a great platform. Unfortunately Match has adopted the same shallow approach that other dating sites use, the horrible “Swipe Left or Right” concept. Frankly it encourages shallow behavior by enticing users to swipe left (No) or right (yes). There is no in between. For example, what if someone is new to the site and has not had time to go into detail on their profile, there is no option to come back to them later. By the way, profiles with very few details are often fake and I personally don’t want to risk it. It would be nice to earmark certain profiles to visit later. The old Match. com allowed this but now you must swipe right or left to wven see the next profile. This is just plane sad. No telling how many possible relationships are being missed because of this terrible user interface. Come on Match! Your app from just five years ago was infinely better than this garbage! You should be encouraging people to dig deeper into each profile, not making it easier for people to swipe them away forever! Shame on you! Leave the swiping nonsense to Bumble and Plenty if Fish. Go back to the days when your site fealt like a premium experience and not just another run of the mill cheap dating site!

Fake profiles. Avoid this app at all costs! I’ve been on it for about 4 days and have received well over 150 likes - all from women 10-20 years younger than me, all super hot, all from Sydney or Melbourne (I’m on the Sunshine Coast 1000 kms away), all have never been married, all want children and they only have a single photo. I’ve tried lodging a complaint and seeking a refund via the help desk but fhey say they can’t help because I went through to the North American help desk so they sent me a link to the international help desk so I wrote to them and guess where it went - you guessed it - back to the US and I got another system generated response identical to the first one. Seriously, how they can continue to trade is beyond me.

DO NOT USE. Gave one star only because cannot give zero stars. This is a scam. It’s a shell app. Filters don’t work eg specify within 100km of hometown but get matches from 1,000s km away. Never get replies. English is so bad apparently Western women are obviously Asian scammers with fake profiles.

Waste of money. Full of scammers, no one reply your messages I think they’re computer generated,I hope they’ll improve and filter all this fake people.

Feed on the vulnerable. In the very short time that I’ve been on this platform I’ve been scammed twice by someone which I’ve reported. I also have no confidence in your search criteria/filters as no matter what I set I have repeatedly had my suggestions filled with people much older or younger than the limit I set with criteria that have clearly said NO to. I have no confidence in this app whatsoever and more so believe it takes advantage of those vulnerable people out there seeking a partner. I’m well and truly broken by your app - should ask for a full refund but that would be a waste of time too.

If I could have left zero stars I would have. Honestly, the worst dating site I’ve ever encountered. There’s lots of scammers, fake profiles, inappropriate photos and more. They approve stupid photos like the top of a head or a chin. I was fortunate to get a refund through the Apple app. Match’s customer service is horrendous too, I contacted them 6 times and no response.

Look faked. Lots of good looking nice guys photos ,then join the member ship completely different, same good looking guys photos for different name on it and keep asking for more money for the boost chat what’s the F ,this app is scam??I I went my money back .

Likes are fake. Gentlemen, there are a number of scams on this site which include the app creators. 1. Women who proport to be 57 with the skin of an 18 y.o. 2. Women that like you, but oddly never engage in any conversation, just how many women like somebody and then never respond to your reply? I suspect this is the developers technique of finding fake Bio’s, which then like individuals to keep them engaged with the site. 3. Women scammers that use the site to hook you to another medium because that are offered free access for an hour or so, and then deleted. It Serves the developer because young beautiful profiles keep popping up and like you only to disappear after their hour is up. All in all the only one happy on this site is the developer and apple, because they make money.

Full of scammers. Wasted $100 on this app. All of your likes will most likely be fake, a dead profile or a scammer. What a horrible thing to do to people that are simply looking for love.

DON’T DO IT!. Out of all the dating apps I’ve tried this one is the worst by a long shot and has the most fake profiles. I stupidly paid for a subscription but it was a total waste of money. Normally I would rate Zoosk as the worst but Match has created a new low. Don’t waste your time and money, 99% of the profiles are completely made up. I’m so annoyed I gave them any money to start with...

Fake profiles everywhere. Maybe this could of been a good site. But after hours of useage I have been scammed (attempted) several time already - and I had made the mistake of buying a premium subscription.

Fake profiles, account blocked no explanation. I agree 100% with a previous reviewer regarding the fake profiles. I got exactly the same thing, lots of likes from women 20 years my junior who live interstate. Less than seven days into a paid subscription I was blocked with no explanation from Match. I contacted them and just like the previous reviewer, I got stuck in a loop of contact. This company has taken over $100 from me and has not provided the service I purchased. I want a full refund but contacting them just generates auto responses saying 'sorry, not us' DO NOT USE THIS APP, It is fake and I will be reporting it to the govt consumer watchdogs.

Greedy App. This App would have to be the worst of them all, you cannot view anyone who like you. There is a swipe left or right option but once a like has been received, unless an upgrade purchase is made-you cannot view it To say, very disappointing! Nobody should have to pay to see someone, initially. Messages cannot be sent unless upgrade purchase is made

Lack of support. Both this app and the web based version have not allowed me to log in since the 5th of July. Despite reporting the issue multiple times I still have not received any help to resolve the issue. I have no idea what the issue is including whether my account has been hacked. I had a paid subscription but I guess once they have your money that’s where the service stops.

Full of Fake profiles. An atrocious dating site, full of fake profiles. To complain or trying to make any attempt of contacting customer support is futile as it is impossible the way it set up.....do not waste your money!!!!!

Not been able to delete my account. This app has no feature to delete a account. If I don’t want to use this why can’t I delete my account?

Rubbish. I got a new phone, and was locked out for some reason. Paid for 3 months, and now 1 week into my subscription and 5 emails later for help, and got absolutely nothing. Not a single response

Only a few girls in my area on this App. This app is a complete waste of time and a massive rip off.. I worked this out within the first 30 mins of using it. I requested a refund and the customer service staff member said because I had sent a message they would not give me a refund. Yes I sent a message while I was figuring out that there are very few girls in my area using this app and probably because it’s a scam. So now I’m getting my bank involved and taking it further with apple as this app should not be allowed in the AppStore.

So disappointed. Despite having my settings for location fixed all I seem to get is interstate messages which is just pointless! Free apps seem much better than this. So disappointed to have paid for this and it be so bad.

Waste of money. Absolute waste of money. Keep getting matched with ladies from over east. Emails come in constantly saying I have 24 matches. There never is. The ones that I do get matched with, don’t communicate. Makes me wonder if they actually exist. Very frustrating

Can’t do anything without paying. Lots of old men with age marked 35 popping up as ‘recommended’ one even said he was 70!). Can’t see likes or view messages without paying. I think there are other better apps with more free options to test out first.

Full of scammers. As soon as you sign you will be invited by almost amazingly beautiful women who are all in their 30s. Almost every one of them can only chat on google hangout because they are never from Australia. All of them apparently are from Ghana or Nigeria. Please don’t get fooled by these cheap apps.

Not sure why I paid so much money. When you don’t get any responses or just a few snd I have liked like 50 or more people It’s just not working Why would you charge people when you don’t get responses because even though I sent a like they are not getting I’m better if staying with all the free sites at least you get responses

Full of fakes. Every single person I spoke to was fake! Clearly they do not do security checks! Am totally over it. Scammers are so full of themselves they think women are not aware! DO NOT use this site unless you want to be scammed!

Too many fake profiles. This site has too many fake Rockies trying to get you to register on hangout or other supposed dating safety sites looking to get your credit card details. Amazing how a place like Agnes in Victoria has more women registered on Match than the population of the town.

Reputation lost through trusting a con woman. Dear fellow freinds please be aware of most of the woman that are on here They are not what you think this companies similarly similar to other dating companies and what the woman do First of all you get all these likes Then you had be subscribe to respond Once you strike up a conversation They will want you to get of the site and go onto google hangouts Or what’s app But the way it works oh baby I love you all the normal fluffy garbage they come or with and then Hunni would love to meet you could you pay for my ticket snd I’ll get in touch with the travel agent My other problem I’m in Sydney they were in Brisbane and a flight to Newcastle return is $680 And guess what Brisbane in lockdown down to I said to the woman gees that’s dear are you going to New Zealand she then got rude hacked my account snd wrote filth yo other members I got band even when I had apologised to the members I did not right As another user I got run around from America and got a link to the international link which was bogus Ps do not give your password or email address to A person no matter how real they may aper to be

Site is full of scammers. Sadly this dating site is infested with scammers and was t worth the money I paid. Unlike other platforms, there’s no effort by the developers to weed them out and instead they rely upon members reporting them. The scammers simply one back with a new profile a few seconds later then harass the member who likely reported them with bombardment of false accounts.

Terrible. I don’t get the point. Also impossible to get in touch with their “local” support. Wasted $80 on a membership and sent me round and round in circles when I tried to claim their guarantee about meeting someone.

Should be removed from App Store. This app is an absolute ripoff. No access provided until Premium membership signed up and 98% of the “likes” are fake profiles. Clearly fake. 20 year old photos for a 48 year old profile. Pathetic. Don’t pay for this. The site does nothing vet fake profiles. Stay away

Awful. This app is not user friendly, hardly anyone on here - most importantly it won’t let you delete it - scammers

Waste of money. Do not, and I mean DO NOT download this app! I ran out of profiles to view in approximately 10-15min after joining. They force you to sign up and commit to a subscription before allowing you to view potential matches, so they get money either way. I changed my preferences to over 100km away and only one profile showed up, and the guy was Cessnock 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m in Sydney! There’s a reason people don’t use this app. Also to the company: REFUND ME

Waste of money. Big waste of money. Matches were not accurate, barely any common interests. Barely any suggestions in my area. Hardly anyone inboxes, only “likes” your profile. Got way more traffic from another dating app.

Worst dating app of all. It would be difficult to imagine a more misleading dating app. I continually received masses of fake likes while trialling the free version, presumably as an inducement to subscribe. Avoid this app.

Lana Rhodes. If you want to date Lana Rhodes then this is the dating app for you. If you don’t know who she is then you’ve not been single for long enough. Complete waste of time and money. Majority of profiles are fake. Whoever sets them up obviously has no idea where the locations actually are. If people were as good as the bio description in this app then we wouldn’t be single!

CJ. Fake profiles. Unfortunately majority of interactions I’ve had on here have been fake, single photos, supermodel looks, limited bio, from Agnes or Sydney and never respond to my messages. I was excited at first because I received quite a few likes from attractive women which encouraged my curiosity to sign up but everyone seems to be a fake profile unfortunately. It is just disappointing, why waste our time? As if we are going to fall for the scams if they were to ask for money.

Scammers only.. I joined this site in Hobart. Perhaps it works better in different locations but here all that was on the site was very clearly fake profile and I received about ten likes a day from clearly fake profiles asking for money

Useless. You need to pay a subscription to send or receive messages and see who likes you. Not worth $50 a month.

Complete fraud of an APP. I get a stupid amounts of likes but no responses, it’s all just a fraud they all come back with other websites to ‘connect’ with them and they’re paying websites. I’m not here for that!!! Unfortunately the powers that be don’t give you an option to give a zero or minus and this needs to be rectified so APPS can be removed!!

Don’t bother. You can’t even send a message to someone without paying a subscription fee. Seems good at first glance but I’m not in the business of spending $50 a month on something like this

Ask for deletion of profile. I have asked to delete the profile as I could not log into the account. I have had no response whatsoever ever. I have tried to reset the password and that does not work

Fake, fake, fake… profiles. Sad but true. Often the description doesn’t match the picture and obvious non-English speakers having written the profile or messages. Waste of time.

The WORST dating app out there.. Full of scammers and fake profiles. I get 30+ notifications a day so when you sign up to see who they are, they’re all scammers. Don’t waste your money. APPS like this should be illegal and be removed from the App Store. Apple should be ashamed of themselves for allowing apps like this to be available.

Rip Off. So disappointed in this app. After receiving emails every day telling me I had messages, I finally paid for one month to check my messages. Once I paid and logged into my Account, I found I only had 1 message!!! I now can’t even access my account. I’ve emailed Support and have received nothing back. I’ve also stopped getting emails telling me I have messages. It’s the biggest scam ever!!!!

Access issues. I’ve suddenly been locked out. The contact phone number won’t connect and the email link doesn’t work.

Only good if u pay. You can’t message anyone who u match with unless you subscribe. You can even give socials on the profile. So dodgy. I know why I left this app in the first place! Worst dating app ever.

To Many Fake Profile. This site has to many fake profiles. You get a lot of likes per day but when you send a message to follow up, no reply. Also has lots of profiles with only 1 picture so that is a indication that the profile is fake.

Match? Just full of Scammers. This dating site is just ‘one Big Scam’! Plenty of likes from women Sydney! Maybe they consider its safer being so far away. The only messages come from people wanting email addresses, the rest don’t answer messages even though they did a ‘like’. Total B———t! Giving the idea of online dating away after this.

Beware. After downloading this app and instantly paying the $50 something dollars for the premium account I received a msg saying I had been blocked and to call customer service which I did.. Number they gave me didn’t work in Australia or from my mobile. So I emailed,to which an automated response tells me I would hear from them within 24-48 hours.... It’s well past 48 hours now and nothing from them at all.. If I had breached any policy’s you think they would tell me and I would take it on the chin, but as I know i havnt it’s absolutely crazy. Has anyone else had similar experiences at all.. I want my money back and I’ll leave this dodgy app happily,

Useless. The free version doesn’t do enough to let you evaluate the app properly. After putting you through making a profile.... you get NOTHING.... just alerts about matches that you can’t view. Apple really needs to review this app. The free version should at least do SOMETHING.

Get hold of. When I message someone, am I allowed to tell them my email? I feel like I’ve messaged a lot of where we both have matched and I’ve messaged them straight away and never hear anything

Broken. Doesn’t seem to know zip codes outside of the US. If this service is meant only for the US, than it shouldn’t be available to download in other countries. And yes, I am registered I the country where I was trying to use the service. Please do not assume, or you run the risk of making wrong assumptions. Plain and simple, it’s a bug.

Refund policy is SCUM AF. Is beyond corporate scum. Expecting generic corporate response. Thanks for legally stealing $100 from me. Less than 8 hours since subscribing, since I had the gall to unsubscribe on my own- I cannot be prorated on my refund.

Customer Service. Very very poor customer service. Absolutely no opportunity to talk to someone to fix problems. Chat does not work on the app or browser. If you have a problem, they will not fix it.

Worst dating app in history. I’ve tried them all and by far this is a terrible and expensive app with very few good qualities about it.

SCAM. paywall to message, unable to delete, will likely sell your data/keep your profile active. profiting off loneliness... fake accounts, hundreds of dollars for ‘subscriptions’ STAY AWAY

Improper Charge. Went to Subscribe for one month at $49.99, charged me $100+ moments later. Wish I would have screenshot the purchase to prove this error. Unacceptable Match.com

What a scam. Paid for a subscription and then they asked to verify my phone number. I gave them my phone number and I never received the code to verify my account! I emailed customer service numerous times and they told me they escalated the issue and still no response. Just a money grab, no refund, no subscription, so I am out 100$ for nothing! Thanks Match!

Waste of money. No responses. No activity. You can like and send messages and no one replies. This is why they don’t try to rope you into 6 month subscription deals. If you had a 2 week free trial you wouldn’t pay for it.

Worst app out there. Match is by far the worst dating app out there that I have tried. Most men on there are desperate, rude or haven’t signed up to see your messages. They charge for more access that yields no real results. I’m two months into a 3 month sub option and can’t even delete my account. Don’t use this app. It is a total waste of money and time.

False advertising. They say you can write a message without subscription but it is simply not true

EASY LAY HERE. Wanna get laid trust me I did more women from this site that match banned me. Trifuzz baby

Wish I only paid for a month and not three. I bought a three-month subscription thinking this could be a long-term dating app for me. I realized that after setting my parameters within a few days I’ve seen all the profiles I was interested in. And all the people who liked me. The new profiles come out very slowly. At least for my search (educated, within a limited age range, and fit). So I’m pretty much done with this after a couple weeks but I paid for three months. Before forewarned. I also paid for the feature where people without subscriptions can write me back. Not a single one has used it. I am going on a date tomorrow with someone I met through the app, however, so if that works out, it will have been worth it. But I would advise get it for a month and see what you think before committing to a longer subscription.

Total joke. If you’re a nice guy and you’re honest and caring, don’t waste your time or your money here. Many women can’t tell the difference between genuine people and hideous circus freaks. You will be left second guessing yourself and bitterly disappointed! Have some self respect and avoid this! Also, if you’re lucky enough to get a like and you message the match, don’t expect a response either because they just simply want to ignore you or because they can’t read the message because they didn’t pay. They need to set it so we only get matches with those who actually pay. Just to be fair the other apps are a joke too.

Why do you need someone’s phone number?. You took email, why can’t you verify the account using a persons email? Also why did you take all details of a person including name, email, address, location, dating preferences, photo etc. before asking for phone number? Sounds very fishy and I doubt if you have the customers interest at heart. If you didn’t have anything to hide, you’d request phone number right at the stage of providing email. That way those who don’t want their phone numbers added won’t waste their time putting in all their details. People, stop using this app, it’s just a matter of time before they are hacked and all your details become public.

No good. Not enough match’s and ppl don’t like to reply just like every other site. Premium is waste of money

Waste of money and time. If you’re looking for an app that demands money and doesn’t deliver, then this app is for you. Tired of being able to respond to messages for free? Well with match, you have the opportunity to pay to message people. What a great deal. In all seriousness, don’t bother with this app. You won’t meet anyone unless you want to pay ridiculous subscription fees just to not get anything out of it

Victoria dating expert.. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Review. Terrible app especially for men. The response rate on average for online dating for men is 64% fit women it’s 4%. That’s brutal. It’s up to a company like Match to address that . There was a time Match advertised women don’t pay for the app. Not only is that sexist, but looking at the data it’s the men who should be offered it for free. I was told by Match I’d get my subscription free if I didn’t find a match within 6 months. Not only do I want my money for that, I’d like my money back for the entire time I’ve spent on this merry go round.

Not great. They sucker you in with likes so you spend 50 bucks and there’s no one there. Such a scam hope I save ya some money

Thanks for supporting russian terrorist regime🤮🤡. It’s so disgusting seeing hometown “Crimea, rus”. I hope this company will bankrupt soon because supporters of the terrorist state must not exist.

Scam alert - Misleading!. Free communication? Nope. You can message for free but it’s over $130 Canadian if you want to read one you have received. Not worth it at all and encourage anyone not to fall for it

Don’t waste your time and money.. You can say anything to your match .And I mean anything. All you get is stupid response.

Average. Overall reliable because there are no messages received from fake accounts like other sites. However there are all sorts of messages trying to make you spend more. You wonder what the ultimate goal is: helping you find someone? Or spend as much as possible?

Sooo MANY Vicious Women Here Who Oppress Males. Match promotes micro-aggression and all-out victimization of heterosexual men by women on their app. I’ve been on several dates with feminists posing as women from this app, and they’ve all stolen money from me while making false accusations against me. Customer service is a joke and not helpful to the cries of oppressed hetero men being bullied by the skirts. Shame on you!

What a useless app. Doesn’t work in Canada what a waste of time

Trash. If I could place a negative five I would. Men stay away from this site. It will drain your money. Go to sugar daddy, Cupid or even pof (even though it has the biggest narcissistic people in the world are there) - match five year ago was good now all the good girls are gone.

Cash grab. An absolutely terrible app. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Match? Not the best name. If you’re a guy looking for a girl, you will waste your time and money here. GUARANTEED! I gave a 1 star because I can’t give a zero star rating.

If your in Canada/ Alberta. Don’t waste your time. If you are a male from Canada, especially Alberta. Match gives worse results than it’s competitors. I.E: Tinder, bumble, etc. lots of pre work to do to see what’s out there for potential “matches” seems like the female users don’t use it. Old fashioned dating at the bar would yield better results. Sorry fellas!

Pay pay pay. Like almost all the other dating apps, all they want is your money you can’t even talk to a match if you don’t pay a copious amount of money, there is no free nothing just swiping left and right for no reason at all.

Call a date coach. Had great phone call with date coach Temica. She gave great advice to move my online dating experience to the next level. Would recommend calling to others who may be shy about asking advice to just go for it. Looking forward to using the advice given.

Don’t waste your money. This app is a total sham. I’ve messaged about 250 women and only received two replies. I am handsome and successful and can’t get anybody to reply to me, which tells me they’re all fake profiles. In the weeks I’ve been on it with a paid subscription I’ve only received three likes . Total waste of money. stay clear of this app.

I keep getting blocked. Everytime I make a new account I get blocked from logging in within a couple days. I am not doing anything wrong

Shady. This is a view from a male profile. You can browse profiles and sometimes send messages which is good. However, when you match or receive a message, it wont even let you see the picture of the person without paying. Only a desperate man would give $50 for a “blind” match that can even be a fake profile or scam. This reminds me finance brokers that will get their money regardless, so don’t care much about user results. Also, it is a hassle to delete the account once created.

Constant paywall. Like most of these apps, they’re just fishing for subscription. They say it’s the one they want you to delete (because it works) - it doesn’t. Save your time and use a different app.

Useless Customer Service. This company is pathetic. My account was hacked and when I alerted the customer care team they permanently blocked my email address. The only solution they offered was that I can create a new email address and a new account. Absolutely pathetic. Do not pay for this service.

Not able to login. I created an account paid the subscription through Apple Pay and got email saying account is created. But then I was not able to login and when I try to go through forgot password flow- it says the account is blocked. Customer call service is so poor and they were not able to assist. I wonder how people say it works for them. Totally sucks

Takes advantage of people. I have been off and on this app for a few years. Without any success. But when my account is deactivated, I get emails daily saying I have winks and likes. So I resubscribed, only toout that all these matches live in other countries. And match doesn't seem to care, they got my money. No customer service support at all. Very shady

Satisfaction guarantee - NOT. The promised you will meet someone or they will extend you subscription. They did not honor that promise.

⭐️. Beaucoup d arnaque!!

I would rate zero stars if I could. I have to pay to send messages and reply?!?!?!?! Really? Deleting this app now and never downloading again. Asking me to pay money to be able to talk to other people on the app is the biggest scam I have ever seen in my life.

Over Priced Zero Payoff. The cost doesn’t justify the quality of matches, or rather the lack there of. Plain and simple!

Ridiculous. You shouldn’t have to pay to send people messages when you match. 50$ a month to talk to people? Other dating apps don’t make you pay to talk to people you’ve matched with. Please change this

Joke. Have to pay to see a match, lol what a joke. Don’t waste your time!!

Not worth the time. The app doesn’t remember your preferences. I basically see the same people everyday. I also get messages from an age group that I did not specify. For example, my range is 35-39 male, I get messages from 44 and above. For guys, I see a variety that I have “matched” but when I look at the age, I also don’t fall in that gap. It is like they are hoping you’ll make exceptions? A lot of profiles are seem very similar, unless everyone wants to take a balloon ride and go on a safari...

Meh…. So you sign up, it gives you a free option, but then it won’t let you see any messages or likes until you pay for a subscription, which is kind of pricy in my opinion. What’s the point of having a free option if all you can do is look at people’s pictures? I get that making people pay for it weeds out the people who aren’t taking things seriously but then why not just come out and say it when you first sign up? I deleted my account and the app…

Nope. Not enough matches and I paid for subscription

Way too expensive, pics of members very old. Charged too much:membership, replies, and boosts and zero value. It used to be good years ago. Members’ pics are quite old and looked like they are regulars for decades since dinosaur age.

Misleading advertisements and a garbage app. The advertisements I saw for this often went about the following lines: “I had always thought match was associated with paying a fee, but hey there actually isn’t”, which *shock* is completely misleading!!! You can only message one person per day on the free trial, and there is no indicator if the person has even seen the message, because again shocker, they need to pay to even see your message!!! And if you did pay for the subscription (I bit the bullet and did so) you can message as many people as you want, great, however, YOU DON’T KNOW IF THE PERSON HAS EVEN SEEN IT BECAUSE THE APP DOESN’T TELL YOU OF THE PERSON HAS THE PAID VERSION OR NOT TO SEE YOUR MESSAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE! In conclusion, this app is indeed “free”, but you aren’t given many options, and the paid version is useless because again, there is no indicator on whether the person has seen your message or not. I would honestly recommend tinder, bumble, as they truly offer so much more than this garbage does.

Price. You literally cannot do anything unless you pay. Even with responses, I would have to pay for. I paid $100 for 3 months to meet my soul mate and have I?, nope. The guy who’s helping me with my matches is lame and I can’t talk to him. No one can respond unless they are subscribed. It’s just awful.

Not able to talk to my match. Heart broken.. I am not happy with the fact I can’t even read a message on a match I made. We both matched but I have to upgrade to talk to him? Now because I can’t upgrade I’ll never be able to talk to him. I thought you were suppose to make hearts not break them 😞 I’m so dissatisfied with the features of this app. I’m really upset I can’t speak to my match.

Money grab. Wow! Either my timing is just brutally awful or something fishy is up with this app. Had an account for probably about a year and would get emails frequently enough: “so and so likes you, see if it’s a Match!” Then you click on it and it is just a promotional tool to get subscriptions. But I was getting likes, profile views, and all with no effort at all! Then my mom talked me into subscribing and after resisting initially I decided to give it a try. 6 months, several messages sent, many read, zero replies- not even to say “get lost”, not a single like. So I got bored and decided I would not waste my time and money to renew. And thus the cycle of deception begins yet again. My first day of not being a subscriber resulted in me receiving an email that my profile got 11 views! Wow what a bummer, here it is only one day past my subscription and the action is heating up! Then my second day I get an email that someone likes me! Again, just a couple days too late sadly. But I knew this is how it would go. Not buying it Match. Nice try. I know you gotta make money and all, but c’mon.

Very Dissatisfied & Disappointed. I have been a loyal member of this website for almost one year and I have only met two women and that is it.I have updated my pictures and done everything that is necessary to find a lovable woman but it seems like there is a magic password to meet the perfect woman on this website.I am very dissatisfied with the service and I am very disappointed that I have spent all this money and found nothing!I am sick of the club saying I’m 33 and I am sick of the bar scene as well.I just want to say that you guys need to open up a chat room or something like that so members can be more interactive just an idea and by the way that came from me!I will start my own dating website with the chat room some members can be way more interactive than just said he likes to each other like a 13-year-old! Sorry if I sound harsh but I am just getting sick of paying the bill every single month and having no results you would be fed up too!!!!

Don’t Try This App, It’s Just A Paywall. I’ve used this app for over a year and not once have I gotten a match. The app claims to be free to use but there’s a paywall subscription to just even chat to people, you only get one free message to send per day otherwise. Even if you do subscribe it its not worth your time. It doesn’t add anything other than give you more likes to send and be able to send messages to hopefully someone who is even remotely interested in using this. Maybe I have the worst of luck with these dating apps but I never got a match once using the app either. I have been on and off on dating apps for 5 years now, this one at least one and I’m just completely burnt out as they all the same result for me every freaking time. I don’t think any of these dating apps even work and maybe even they’re just full of bots just to inflate its numbers. It’s just adds another one to the list of garbage paywall dating apps I’m never using again…

Zero Star. I’m a woman looking for a life partner to build a family and raise kids. I subscribed and paid almost $150 to my membership from 4/23 to 10/23 in 2022. It was the worst dating app I have ever used. I listed the result below. Final report: I chatted less than 10 matches during 6 months Never successfully meet anyone through this app. 1. 99% of likes I received were from high school education matches. I own a graduate degree. And I setup what I’m looking for settings to men with undergraduate or graduate degrees. 2. The rest of 1% of likes I received looked qualified but aged over 60 and they don’t want kids. 3. Almost 100% likes I sent I never received likes back. I actively sent likes every day and it accumulated to hundreds to a thousand of likes. None of them liked me back. It’s hard to believe! Btw - I am actually a good looking attractive woman in fit body shape with an established career. 4. I once called Match customer service and questioned if anything went wrong with my account after 3 months of my membership. The agent told me that she checked and nothing went wrong and I just had to be patient. I decided to be patient until 10/23 my membership ends. So my recommendation based on my own experience of 6 month membership: 1. It’s the worst dating app with completely wrong algorithm to match me with the men I could possibly consider. 2. It’s a waste of my time and money 3. Stay away from this app. 4. You have been warned.

Biggest waste of money!!!. Update: About 4 months in and nothing. Biggest waste of time and money. The only reason I became a paid subscriber was so I could read a message and see who liked me. Already cancelled it so it doesn’t renew. The highlights feature is a joke and so is their weekly matching. Price for Match is outrageous. Still the biggest scam for money I’ve ever seen. Don’t waste your money on Match. I’m so disgusted with it. I would give Match no stars if I could. I have been using this app for less than 2 months. I have talked to about 10 people, who all but maybe one, was fake or scammer. I can’t get my money back because it’s been longer than 5 days, REALLY?!?!? This is such a scam!! I will never recommend Match to anyone! They really need to do a better job at protecting their real customers. I have never written a poor review but these people take the cake. I am so disgusted that I had to write this one! DO NOT PAY FOR MATCH!!!! Cannot stress that enough!

MATCH IS THE WORST’. Match is an outdated dating site first made famous by its illegal auto billing & illegal fake profiles. The site itself is so outdated, it’s like being on the failed OK Cupid site as in ‘beat. You can’t see who’s online or how many are online. You can only view one face at a time. And each profile page you flip by says the same words in the same order like: NEVER SMOKED MARIJUANA is NOT FOR ME, and more things that we already know about that person anyways. The WORST THING ARE THE FAKE PROFILES ON MATCH & the make emails to lure you back in only to see that person isn’t even on your page. ALSO to stop auto billing now is all trickery over again. You must click a link & opens another page online then your password. TO CANCEL AUTO BILLING you need to cancel everything. shut it down. So if you paid $40 like i just did to get screwed then i can cancel & walk or wait 29 days & cancel and if i go past the 29 i’m re billed & robbed all over again.

Match’s Dating Coaches. I picked up Match after having tried Zoosk, EmilyDates, and Adult Friend Finder, none of which succeeded for me. I didn’t like the women who liked me, and the people I liked didn’t like me back. At Match , a similar pattern atarted to emerge. I was liking a number of women 20 years or more younger than me. That weren’t responding to my messages, though. So I took advantage of a feature Match offers members: Free Dating Coaching. I called them up and spoke with a warm, polite woman named, Olivia. I explained my issue with messaging, and she gave me three clear and simple points to put into practice to improve my message results. Then we went over my photos and my profile. Olivia gave me constructive, useful and clear feedback in thise areas too. This is a really good feature of Match. I would rate Match higher than other sites as a result.

Scam Scam Prays on men. After being divorced and celibate for 3 years I was told this is how you meet good women nowadays. I downloaded the app made a profile and right off the bat got lots of likes and even a few messages. I am honestly looking for a relationship not a hook up and after ignoring the notices that my profile was receiving lots of attention I decided to join. I wrote very kind and thoughtful messages to everyone and received only one reply and after chatting they ghosted. Then the next six months maybe two responded. They ghosted also. Maybe I am really rusty? I’m just very old-school and ask questions and try to see if our sense of humor‘s will jive. But I digress ...So I didn’t renew. Well the day after my subscription lapsed after not receiving any likes and having to take all the initiative I start getting tons of likes and even some messages. Even though the pictures where blurred I remembered many of the original blurred pictures from the very won’t respond again or just go back to beinga good dad.

Mobile App functionally is awful. I don’t understand how the functionality for the mobile app could be so poorly designed and limited. The fact that Match will not differentiate between premium and non-paying users is a rip off because premium membership is required for users to read messages. Worse still, it took hours of trial and error, deleting the app and navigating thru my browser to see my sent messages - many of which are just sitting there (I guess time will tell if recipients are paid users, not interested, not checking, or whatever. Also, I did everything in my power to stop receiving push notifications by email and I am STILL getting them. Apparently not possible to turn off. It’s been about 12 hours and I want to cancel for a refund. I can’t move to a desktop to get the full use of this site- and shouldn’t have to premium prices. Maybe there’s a match somewhere on this site, but reaching them thru this app is in the too hard category.

Basically a Pyramid Scheme lol. Too many paywalls for mediocre results. Literally every feature you might want to use will cost you an additional fee. I decided to try Match and pay for the subscription because people tend to be more intentional when they are paying for a service and it’s been a long-standing presence in the online dating world. Instead it’s just felt like a pyramid scheme out to make a profit on people and their preferences. Filters/preference settings don’t seem to make any difference in the profiles that are viewable/able to view my profile. Was definitely expecting something a little more refined based on the cost and also the fact that Match has been around since, like, the 90’s. The whole model is bulky, not user-friendly, and I’m so glad I only paid for a one month subscription. Will never use it again when the month is over. Honestly better off using the free platforms like Hinge or Bumble. Might try one of their paid subscriptions though. Already know it will be a better experience than Match.

Slow matches. So far from my experience I have been on the app for a little more than two weeks and have only been views by two people which is kind of ridiculous that a dating doesn’t just have the account out there to be viewed like the rate it takes to even be seen by people seems to be at a lees than 1 person a week so at that rate I should get a match by the time I am 50 even if I payed for boosts that would be maybe 4 people a week that is if people are on for the one hour you get the boost so probably less like this isn’t worth using unless you want to pay exorbitant amounts of money for a system that barely works. My screen shows me several people a day so why is it that I don’t even get shown to other accounts for like 5 minutes once a week. Tinder seems easier than this if you can find someone throughout the sea of sex maniacs in it. Also I made my preferences very broad on it when looking for someone so it shouldn’t be that I am being too specific for the algorithm to think I’m too picky to be matched with anyone.

Coach Mac has your Back. I called into the dating coach to get some help with my profile. I spoke to Mac ('nCheese) who was absolutely awesome. He helped me change around a few things to make my profile a bit more attractive to the potential matches. He was "tony the tiger GRRRreat"! I can appreciate the jokes and laughs we had during the brief conversation to make me more comfortable about it all. It was like I was asking advice from a good friend and not some robot. Although he could be half human-half robot, idk Cyborg Mac still had my back on making sure I am presenting my best self. Hopefully all this hard work will let me find my Eva Mendez kind of " Ball and Chain". - I don't want no scrubs, you know? All-in-all he's a great guy to be your coach , I highly recommend maybe sending him a thank you note or something.

Dana-Great Counselor!. To whom it may concern, supervisor, boss, etc., You need to know that Dana gave me great feedback to my myriad of questions. She is very articulate, yet warm, engaging and insightful. I felt very comfortable speaking with her, and her lighthearted nature allowed me to share more about myself. After letting me yammer on, she had me well figured out as to the general type of person I am, and used her natural insight to provide guidance, which was the reason I decided to call Match dating counselor in the first place. So, thank you again Dana for giving me some direction and things to really think about to have a better chance. This counseling experience far surpassed my expectations!!! BTW Match, pay attention to Dana. She really is an asset to your company. Give her a raise or at least let her know how important she is to your team. Happy holidays.

Dating Coach. Finally gave in and decided to try out the free dating coach trail that match offers and I’m glad I did. I got connected with Dana who was very easy to talk to and clarified everything we were going to cover in the beginning, she told me the offer was for 15 minutes and I’ll be honest I was a lil worried and thinking how much can you really cover in 15 minutes. Well Dana made it seem like it was longer then that but we covered everything and she caught several things I could fix to improve my chances to get noticed. It was nice to not feel rushed yet still cover all the bases and she even gave me a free boost at the end of the call and another five to use later at my leisure. I would definitely recommend using the free dating coach, I’m actually thinking about getting the package.

Not the best. I have a premium Match account and am not real thrilled about the overall functionality. Even with Premium, you are limited in the number of profiles you are able to browse under the ‘discover’ section each day (pretty trash in my opinion). There is an option to view profiles through ‘who’s viewed you’, however, all I seem to run into when trying to select new profiles are technical issues where the profiles just won’t load. Trying to get any kind of technical help is a bit of a joke and their chat feature with an actual human has banker’s hours. I do also wish there were additional filters or a way to absolutely not show profiles where you have already identified deal breakers. Not sure what they use for their algorithms either because I’d say a good 40% of the suggestions I am given are completely the opposite of what I have identified in my preferences. Overall, dissatisfied with the app and am disappointed they force you to sign up for three months minimum if you want a premium account - DEFINITELY not worth the money.

Overpriced & Spoopy practices. Okay, so you can sign up, create your entire profile, and start scrolling through for free, but to do anything that requires making contact, you require a near $40/month subscription, or $120 for a longer term with overall lower cost. I can understand premium benefits, but the fact that this app just seems to dangle carrots in your face is not very pleasing after all the time invested to setup a profile to do nothing. Data grab? Cash grab? I don’t know, but it feels scammy to me when the only excuse is ‘you can’t put a price on happiness’ entertainers put a price on onlyfans, but you can get the same content for free with a quick search. So I guess I could pay to find love or I’ll just go find it outside of this app. Not very pleased with the service, I did subscribe and after a week of fake accounts I’m done. Not worth it for me, now I’m out half a tank of gas and more lonely.

My coaching experience with Victoria. I was hesitant to call. Unsure of what to expect, already feeling awkward because I’m close to 40 looking for dates online.. not how I handled business in my 20’s, but I digress. I don’t even remember if there was a ring because the next thing I know a warm, kind voice greets me. Victoria is the kind soul behind this voice. Victoria actively listened to my needs and made me feel heard. She gave me a checklist to help me express myself in a way that I will attract what I’m truly looking for. Victoria also helped me identify ways to further ensure I’m getting messages from good matches. I am excited to write my summary, expressing my desires for my match using the tools Victoria provided me with. I am so happy that she and I had the chance to chat.

Stick to Bumble or Hinge. This app is a cash grab with very little to offer. Every feature has a separate cost gate in front of it. You will sign up for what you think is “the” membership for $45 a month (gross) only to still be blocked from other features because you didn’t sign up for the super duper membership which is heavily marketed to you AFTER you join. All the decent profiles are curated and matching with them is locked behind those extra cost gates. This is the definition of carrot on a stick and it’s designed to extract as much money from you as possible while giving as little as possible. Not to mention there are hardly any good profiles on here to begin with (probably because both men and women don’t want to put up with it). So, why even bother with this when apps like Bumble and Hinge are much more straightforward, more populated and provide much better connections? Bottom line is Match is outdated, way overpriced and severely underperforms. They’re a dating site that got left behind in 2010 and never caught up.

Account disappeared hours after I paid. I really wanted to love this app. I lost my husband to suicide and during this pandemic, I’ve been lonely due to social distancing. A friend recommended I try this to meet people. I immediately loved it, bought the premium membership and made a connection with someone. Hours later, my account was gone. I tried signing in on my app and on my laptop and it said my account had been blocked. There was no explanation or any way to fix it. From my understanding, I had followed all of the guidelines so, I was confused. I sent 4 messages, only received one response from someone that said my account hadn’t been blocked and to try changing my password instead. I did that and it said there was a problem with my account. It’s almost been a week and I haven’t gotten to talk to the man I connected with, probably looks like I ditched him. And now I’m out $88 and I haven’t gotten to use the app as a distraction like I had hoped over these last few days. I’m really disappointed.

Match and Stir are SCAMS!. This review is to hold Match accountable for their other app, Stir (for single parents). It’s an absolute scam, poor functionality and low quality profiles. At first, I used the app for free which has very limited (almost useless) functionality. So I paid $40 for 1 month just so I could see the messages I received. There were no added benefits by paying $40. I was not able to see messages or “likes” or anything additional. I have the same functionality as I did before I paid. Customer service (email only) is nonsense. I explained that I paid $40 but no added benefits are on my account. The response didn’t even address my issue or questions. So I responded clarifying my issue and no response. Match and Stir literally stole $40 from me, and I’m sure many other people. Additionally, the user profiles are awful, low quality. Do not use Stir. Also, Match’s app has the same functionality so I imagine it’s also low quality and ripping off users.

Tried the six month subscription but constant attempt at a cash grab. I am trying the six month subscription for the premium access. But so far it seems like it’s just full of either old profiles or bot accounts that will log in to act like they are active accounts. I have attempted to reach out and introduce myself by saying hello or finding an interesting or common interest that’s on the profile but zero replies. Then I get a msg from match’s professional match team claiming to set me up with hand picked users to increase my chances at meeting someone or replies. I tried the free one match and and they said they would find someone and send a pick within 48 hrs. They finally sent me a pick 2 weeks later and still nothing which just makes me think it’s a bot and if you subscribe your just getting an automated filter for someone who has a commonality or if it is a persons they don’t reach do a hand pick they just find a random account and say here we think you might like them. Which is a big rip off for any price.

Worthless. You can’t do anything on a free version. You can’t even see who’s viewed your profile or likes you. I even tried sending a “free message” to a Top pick and there is nowhere in the app to see an inbox to keep track of who I sent messages to. I’m guessing that this person, if real, won’t even be able to see my message unless they are a paid member. The one thing that frustrated me the most and deters me from trying the paid version is that under people “I have liked” there are profiles I DID NOT add and unless you are a paid member, you can’t remove them. Best I can see, if you take too long on a Top Pick of the day and you don’t select the X, then the app automatically adds them to your likes. Deceiving! So, those of you that are paid members and can see who likes you, not all your likes are authentic unfortunately. I was going to try the paid version for a month at least but definitely not after that happened. Try another app or site instead.

Annoying. The fact that you pay thinking you’re getting better quality is not true and annoying. The men have just not been it for me. Also, the fact that when you select (x) not interested they still come back up in your queue is annoying. If I’m Not interested, I should not have to keep seeing the person!!!!!! Or these men will send messages to no response but daily I’m getting messages. Sir, if I have not responded in a week I AM NOT INTERESTED!!!!!!! There has to be a way to not have to see this! Because at this point it’s HARASSMENT! Again, if I select not interested it should take them away instead you have to block people! Also, I select my dealbreakers and clearly that doesn’t matter because I’m getting men way over the age limit I selected and they’re shorter than the height I selected as a dealbreaker, so Match is stubborn and a liar! Lastly, the “expert” is not ! Again, matching me with someone who is not what I want based on my dealbreaker selections. Smh this has been the worst experience ever.

Do not give this company any money!!!. First off, most of the accounts on here are fake. Second, the free version is so limited that you have to pay to have any chance of meeting someone. So, I paid for a 6 month subscription. After one month, with no warning, my account was blocked. I called Match and waited on hold for 90 mins to finally speak with someone and they said they would fix it. They fixed it alright…by terminating my account!!! This happens all the time to customers! (look it up). Now I have to open a dispute with Apple to see if they will refund my unused part of the subscription which I’m not holding my breath for (Match keeps all of your money otherwise). I cannot imagine any dating app’s customer service being any worse than this. Total SCAM…Match happily takes your money then deletes your account that you just spent lots of time creating 😡 Save your time/money and use literally any other dating app.

It’s not what you think. I was a member of Match and what I noticed is that 70% of the profiles are of nonmembers. There are more nonmembers on Match than actual members. The nonmembers are simply people who previously were members, but had quit Match. Even so, Match uses their profiles to attract new members. nonmembers cannot message you or see who has messaged them. If you show interest in a nonmember by messaging them, or giving them a like, they cannot see who noticed them. The only way they can see is to sign up to match. This is how Match makes its bank. They do a lot of promoting of nonmembers to the few people who are members. and this only helps Match. Actual members really don’t have that many choices as you would think. One last criticism is that they do not have phone support to help members with questions. They used to have phone support a few years ago but now they do not. I think they can’t afford the employees anymore. if you become a match member you may find as I did that you won’t get a lot of people noticing you. That’s my experience anyway.

Women please don’t waste money. I have tried Match 2x and each time the men are either unattractive or emotionally unavailable predators. They come to match because there are good women willing to pay so they know we are high quality with substance. Listen men pay a lot for escorts and hookers, trust that they will gladly pay $100 for quality women knowing they are garbage. They do not care. To add, the top picks and curated picks from a “match professional” were never based on or aligned with my preferences. I was seeking Christian men and I received atheist matches! Total waste of money and crap. The first time I met a guy who love bombed me for a month and then sent me picks of his private when I broke it off. I reported him. The next guy was a recluse who stopped talking to me once I put on the pressure to go on an actual date after talking for over 3 weeks. 90% of the men who like me never say anything or say hey and that’s it. These men on match are seriously damaged. I’ve had much better success on Bumble surprisingly. It’s mostly free but at least the men are normal.

HONEST REVIEW. This app works for some, and doesn’t work for many. If two people like eachother, one of them still has to pay to speak with eachother. It’s disgusting that this app promises love, and sanctuary for a lonely person, but really, they want your money. If a premium member likes someone who is not premium, that non-premium member has to swipe through 50+ people on the “swipe right swipe left” system just to MAYBE find you. This apps here to use you. Go with any less popular app. Badoo, OKCupid, Skout, Tinder, etc. but whatever you do, don’t use Match or wHarmony, I promise you, as a customer, they just want your money. Look at the positive reviews and tell me, do they have any of the unique details you or many others have had in your experience? No, it’s just “I’ve been married for this long, I’ve tried these sites, I’ve tried everything, but Match is the golden egg.” I’m sure the half the positive reviews are fake because they want you to pay to speak with eachother.

Staying Motivated. I have been on Match for 6+ months plus I also tried out Silver Singles. I find that Match has provided many more people that live closer to me, which is what I am looking for. Since I recently retired I am looking to enjoy the next chapter of my life. As a senior, this whole online dating scene seems more than a little bit awkward. That is why I decided to try the “ask an expert” on Match to get some tips on how to best navigate the site and dating in general. I spoke with Celeste and I found her to be most helpful in improving my profile and In offering suggestions on how to reach out to people online. I highly recommend using this feature if only to gain more confidence in what you are currently doing. It’s free so why not give it a try?

I’m disappointed. I purchased the premium version for six months, after payment was done I was able to access three days only. After that my account was blocked. I called the support line for the first time a customer care pick up my call after my conversation he put music and didn’t talk again. I called for the second time I was told to wait two days later. They called me back and confirm that there is no reason to block my account so they will call me after unknown time and I have to wait their call in unspecified time. I’m getting confused that is their way to make money from people that you pay for services and they block you then they disappear. It’s shame to see something seems to be trusted but acts differently. I’m very disappointed with match. I asked for refund there was no answer. They keep sending me emails that someone will call me. I can’t recommend to anybody to subscribe the premium version. It’s expensive and they block accounts after subscription. It’s sad.

Waited 2 years to write this review. I met my soulmate over 2 years ago by swiping right. I was actually about to give up because I already went on so many dates and talked to so many guys… but the wait and perseverance was worthy. He is everything I was looking for, we are both Catholic, no children, want kids, he is just one year older than me, we are both engineers, we get along so well, we have traveled the world and we still are, we just got married august of last year and it has been amazing. Of course with its ups and downs because no relationship is perfect, but we are perfect for each other. I love his family, my family loves him and vice versa . We are working on getting our first house together and to have kids. Thank you match!!!

spotty at best. the app is very cagey. i’ll get no messages for days, then as i’m scrolling through profiles people will pop up with messages they sent me weeks ago. this has also happened where someone messages me and a message from weeks earlier - sometimes months - comes through at the same time as the current one. it often feels like the algorithm deliberately holds back to make me use you more. and the part that i am supposed to see who “i like” does not update. meanwhile, i’ll X out a guy and he continues to appear in my feed. i am also constantly being shown profiles that are outside of my parameters, as in too short, too old/young and way too far away (sometimes several states away)! i’ve even been shown women!!! i understand why connecticut comes up because it could be within my distance, as the crow flies, but not practical for driving. nevertheless, people from far into jersey, upstate NY, maine, new hampshire, maryland and other states are shown to me. so, this is all to say that if i look at 20 guys, only about 5 are a true match based on my requirements, which means i’m about 25% satisfied without factoring in all the other things i mentioned. hope this helps, i’ve tried repeatedly to inquire with tech support, which is not readily available. i got a live person once, who told me to reinstall the app but that did nothing.

No notifications!. Something is terribly wrong with app notifications. I don’t get any and have reviewed (as well as toggled on/off) both my iOS settings for the app as well as the in app settings. Still nothing. Needs to be fixed now. Certainly a bug… will probably be told to delete and reinstall which is always the copout - “Sorry to hear your car doesn’t start, remove the engine and put it back in. Let us know if that helps!” Ummm just NO. Note: I do get only useless, as they are horribly delayed, emails. Lastly, the algorithm (as other reviews note) is horrible and I’m constantly being presented with people far from my preferences. They also need to (certainly in this day and age and particularly in the US currently) add a “political views” preference that can be made a dealbreaker. Will that limit matches? Yup… but I’ll just skip them regardless and would rather not waste the time scrolling down to look.

Horrible recommendations. As if you are not paying for match services it gives you “recommendations” based on the information you provide. Which is obviously inaccurate to the fullest. You cannot browse profiles, you are only recommended profiles meaning if they select it, you are forced to see it meaning the other partie(s) see that you had “viewed” them resulting in unwanted messages. If you feel that no one is viewing you, Match will “boost” your profile for a cost of course in which with all of the free dating sites even FB, you may freely search areas in which you would rather look for individuals and not have to expand your searches 100’s of miles. I have Match a fair shot in paying for their services unfortunately they had not been fair to its customers only asking for more money and when you want to cancel, they offer you 3 months for 2 which they should do in the very beginning NOT after you decide that the services provided are worse than sites that are free...

Just not for me.. I’m going to be as objective as I can. First let me say, I appreciate the app and everything it encourages. It does give the person opportunity to meet people. However, the follow up when “connections” are made is slow or sometimes never. The filters I’ve adjusted MANY times to my liking and the app still doesn’t respect them, lastly for what it does offer, the price is to steep. Now I understand that it all does fall into the persons hand on who they date or who they are interested in, but this app didn’t help. Not to mention dating is just difficult nowadays. I found myself frustrated with this app more than anything. I wasn’t one of those guys looking for a one night stand. Like I said, both “files” would connect and either I or they would respond then after that on my end, I’d get NO follow up. I knew it was time to get off after I shared a good long exchange with some via the message inbox then after four days goes by, that person states that they you’re too young (32) and that’s a deal breaker for me. Thanks for trying match. Guess I’ll just be single forever.

Date coaching is surprisingly helpful. Everyone probably looks at date coaching with a little bit of skepticism and an uneasy feeling about someone telling you how to do better at online dating over the phone, but after doing my free session included with my membership I can say that it wasn’t bad. They give some reasonable advice that makes sense and walk you through some ways to better your profile. Dana helped me sort of organize my profile better and answer some questions about how to better approach using match and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next. Others have mentioned it, and I agree, having two free sessions would be really cool so that you can reassess how well you are doing on the site later.

Not the best experience. So I’ve used almost all the dating apps out there and have found all the same guys on those apps are on this one. I paid twice for the service and for 2 months only had one date. No one talks to you after you match. I sent several emails back to my matches and no responses which has been pretty typical on the dating apps these days. No one wants to get a conversation going to see if there’s even the slightest interest. Not paying for it again! Cancelled my subscription and won’t be using it. I also ran into an issue where I took a break for a few weeks went back to it and couldn’t get logged back in asked for help and never got a response back from their support team so I ended up with two separate logins/profiles! They don’t make it easy to cancel/delete your profile either I spent days trying to figure this out to even googling it! Make that easier for people. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Worth the money. I have tried pretty much all of the dating sites, free and paid. Now from experience I have tried match this was a few years back. Granted the matching system needed some tweaking. I didn’t really meet anyone and felt the system was flawed. Recently a good friend of mine had recommended match to me. After having no results and thoughts on how not so user friendly the app was, I was very hesitant to try it. I signed up again and paid for the app and decided to give it another try. So far so good! They have made various improvements, I’m actually matching with women close by. I live close to a major city and this time around I’ve actually got dates set up. Good job Match, looking forward to finding my special someone soon.

Deceitful. Contrary to popular belief, you need a premium subscription to be able to send likes and messages freely, you are restricted with a free or standard subscription. Even with a premium subscription, you will get a ton of ads for adds ons like “boosts” and “reply for free”. Match also PURPOSELY sends you people outside of your preferences. Their research shows that “opposites attract” (even though this is untrue for long term relationships) so they will send you people who are deal breakers (you put you only want Christians, they send Atheists, etc). Dating Expert Picks is also a scam. It is not a curated pick, it is a team of low paid overseas workers who pick out random profiles and send them to you with a simple pre-written templates. ALSO, if you are unsubscribe WITHOUT hiding your profile, your profile will continue to be advertised to other members, that way it looks like there are more active people than there actually are. Match also shares your profile across its other dating apps (check their TOS). Match will also send likes and alerts to get you to resubscribe and then when you do, there are no matches! They say they are not doing this, but if thousands of people report this issue constantly, there must be some truth to it. Really there are much better apps for dating out there that don’t cost an egregious amount. 0/5 stars if I could rate that in the App Store.

App is okay, coaches are a great addition. I won’t focus on the app itself, as many others have talked about that. I’ve used Match in the past, and I think the addition of dating coaches is a great idea. I called Tra and had a great time talking with him. He was very professional, but also relatable, and walked me through ways to craft better messages. I like how he not only told me what would work, but WHY it works. He also walked through my profile and made some helpful suggestions. It was very helpful and encouraging... thanks Tra! A note to others considering using the coach: try to think of specific questions you can ask before you call, unique to your situation. My only regret was that I didn’t have a lot of specific questions drawn from my experiences, as I see other reviewers have done. I think the more specific your questions, the better the coach is able to help you.

Paywall is real. They boast on social media about allowing you to message your top matches for free..which is like 5 people a day. Assuming you match with any of them. Match with someone else? Have to pay to message them, and it’s not cheap. Pretty much anything you’d like in a dating app? Gotta pay. One free conversation when you start, and it may not even be a match. The paywall is absolutely ridiculous. They’re the “top dating app” probably just based SOLEY on their revenue. Not on the actual success of your matches. There are plenty and I mean LOADS of other options. Don’t give them a bunch of money for maybes. Update: your response is unsatisfying. So my rating will remain the same. “A full subscription” SHOULDNT prevent your from being able to message ANY matches, not just your “Top” matches. Limit it to so many per day? Fine. However to give such an almost condescending response? “Oh your problem is the pay wall? You should pay, but here’s how you get to your top picks we decided is ok for you to message.” No thank you. Rating remains.

Super Disappointed. I’ll start by saying that I did meet and Mary someone from Match years ago, at that time it worked, so I thought I would give it a try now that I am single again. This app is more expensive than other dating apps, so I did a search first, and found quite a few people that I would be compatible with, I went ahead and paid the six month subscription, which was expensive. The problem is that those people that are there and I saw and I thought I could communicate with our not necessarily paying members, so it turns out that someone that you might like, it’s not even a paying member. At first I couldn’t figure it out, until I did, the majority of people you have on there are just old profiles of people that have not pay their membership and therefore cannot answer your messages. I’m super disappointed and would definitely not recommend this app. It is actually deceiving and now I’m out of my money. Again, very disappointing.

Match is the worst dating app I’ve ever used. This app, they pricing structure and overall scammy nature of it is disgusting. I paid around $180 for their “premium” tier which I thought “wow this will cover all the bases and features” nope. This is for 6 months btw, not a yr. They give you one boost and then ask you to buy 10 boosts for like an additional $10, amongst other crappy “features”. How I’m the heck is a 6 month “premium” tier full of add-ons and other bull crap? Oh, not to mention I’ve gotten more matches on terrible free apps like Facebook dating and POF. Their user interfaces are jankier but my god you don’t pay a dime for them. Oh btw NO REFUNDS OF ANY TYPE. And the “customer service” phone # that is publicly listed is some sort of foreign scam artist company in India that almost got my payment information because they’re so good at pretending to be their customer service team. Stay away from this terrible dating platform and app, I’ve never felt so ripped off by any subscription in my entire life. Pure garbage, you’ll have better luck on a random free dating app then you will shelling out hundreds of dollars on this joke of a app/community. Don’t fall prey to their promises and constant egging you on to purchase and spend more. I literally sent msgs and likes to over 100 people and have not received a single response. Like dear god this thing is built to milk you dry and keep you from communicating properly. WORST DATING APP EVER

Pathetic. I don’t write reviews, but I had to warn everyone about this app. Minimum to get started is around 50-60, but that only throws you to the bottom of a list with access to other bottom dwellers. Want someone more compatible? Pay more. Want your profile to show up more often? Pay more. Want the app to help find you a good match? Pay more. This app is a total scam designed to upsell users who are desperate for love. It does very little to provide the opportunity or help the user find someone special. Lets not forget that all of these dating apps are filled with fake profiles. They will even sink so low to have a fake profile match with you so that you sign up to email them before they mysteriously disappear. Its one thing to pay money for a quality match service, but this app is not that. This app just takes advantage of people’s desire for love in order to get as much money out of them as possible. Don’t waste your time or money.

This app needs A LOT of work. I am a new subscriber. 5 days in. And the app disappears my profile. Deletes messages and brings them back. Deletes matches and has even deactivated my profile one time. I am removing it from my phone and only using desktop version. This is very annoying to start communicating with people and then having the thread completely disappear. It appears to the other person that you’re not interested. Also I will unmatch people after no response but it keeps bringing the match back even when I have blocked or removed them. For the amount a subscriber pays for this, these functions should not be an issue. Do better match. Right now some of the other dating apps are starting to look good. I have even tried to contact someone via chat during business hours and no lie, it took over 6 SIX hours for someone to respond! Ha! This is bananas. Good luck if you decide to use this app.

Basic & Boring Features. Be careful, they will not refund you if you don’t like the app features (which I don’t), so I will now tell everyone NOT to pay a penny to them and use the free version. The features are outdated (not creative), I wasn’t attracted to anyone I saw, after I put my age range the app still showed me people Outside of my age range, there’s no way to post a video (very useful imo), they basically charge you so that you can see who likes you and you can write them messages (extreme rip-off), I paid $129 for 6 months for premium account, I used the app for a while and knew it wasn’t worth it at all. I used Hinge before this, it’s WAY better, has video feature, you can connect your IG to it, the questions/prompts asked in it are interesting, layout is more streamlined, simple and easy to use, sleek looking, and FREE. Wow! Oh and the people on it are way better looking and educated. I want my money back!!! But I don’t expect them to give it to me, they seem like crooks.

Great service , difficult to find Match. First I think their customer service is great with respect to the coaching. They give you one free 20 minute dating coach which knows everything about online dating. I think for the amount Match charges, they should give you 2 free online coach sessions. One is definitely not enough. Not because my coach wasn’t awesome- 1) you have to now take their advice and 2) if it still needs to be polished, you now have to pay? I understand it is a business but they got me for a 6 month subscription and I think there are just so many guys on the site that woman get messages daily. Guys on the other hand , unless your a model.....we are lucky if we get a reply once in awhile. Match should loosen up on charging for everything and give some extras. It might of kept me around if I didn’t feel like everything required more money.

Okay but could be better. I’ve been using match for several months and didn’t really see any success from it. One of the major problems I have with match is that there are way too many inactive accounts or women who haven’t logged in for while so you just end up eating time liking and writing messages to people you’ll never know even use the service anymore. I’d like to see more features built so that my recommended matches actually still use the service. The best thing I like about Match though is the ability to like and message people even if they haven’t liked you back. It’s a great way to reach out to someone who may of potentially missed a great person. Regardless of how well you present yourself on any dating app though for most men it’s brutal out there. Women just always want to find the best so average looking guys like myself who aren’t tall are just wasting money it feels like. I tried to take advantage of every service they offered while a member like talking to match coaches, using boosts, getting my profile reviewed and they couldn’t find anything wrong; in fact they said I had a well above average profile yet I didn’t get matches or a date. I think I’ve just accepted the fact I’m going to be one of those unlucky souls that stays single forever and are unable to find love. Good luck to everyone else.

Scammed by match. Yep, i’m using the S word. Why? Because I paid for a six-month subscription, deleted my account after a few months, then restarted and tried to restore my subscription. Unlike literally every other dating app where I was easily upgraded back to my premium subscription, that is not possible with match. Their support even told me that because I deleted my account, it cannot be restored. Funnily enough, since I purchased “reply for free“ through the iTunes Store, I was easily able to restore that purchase. But the one purchase direct through match I was not. This seems ripe for a class action lawsuit. I have two or three months left on a six-month subscription that they refused to honor. I literally don’t see how this is legal. This is an absolute scam. Also, the application itself is no better than any other modern application. You don’t find more serious people, you don’t get more matches, people are just as flaky and non-responsive as they are on any of the other apps. Don’t pay for match.

Best dating coach ever - Edward!!!. I just joined MATCH and took advantage of the free coaching session that they give you. Edward is amazing! He answered my questions, listened thoroughly and was able to create an opening for me to address my concerns about dating online. He made some recommendations to make sure that my profile was sensitive to current health concerns. There were things that I didn’t think about which Edward shed light on. There was an immediate lightness after my session with him and I now have a new freedom and optimism that I didn’t before! I wasn’t totally in before my coaching session. I knew that eventually something would happen that would cause me to cancel my membership. Now, I’m looking forward to having many successful connections and dating on Match! Thank you, Edward!!!🥰

Used to be good. Match was good 5-7 years ago but has gone downhill. First. Beware when it says you have “X” number of likes and asks you to pay to see. It’s not accurate and it’s a sales ploy. A few years back it said I had 30 likes. After paying? There were 4… not cool. And honestly kind of manipulative. But. My major concern with the product is that in order to send and read messages you must pay. Which means I can pay to message someone but if she isn’t a paying member also? She will never read my message. So kind of a waste of money since you’re banking on the other person being a fully paid user. I wish there was a way, as a paying member, to send “priority messages” whereby the other person can see my message even if they aren’t paying. Until then? I’ll save my money. No need to drop $50 a month to send messages that won’t be opened.
