Incorrect News and Bias. I’m reading multiple newspapers from France and Europe to keep myself updated with different views on Europe geopolitics. The app is really good but unfortunately “Le Monde” is too often having bias, manipulating the truth to feed a political agenda. The newspaper is not independent. This newspaper is often flagged providing incorrect information. When not incorrect, half of the articles would be editorials or just opinions in a normal newspaper like the New York Times. This is not true journalism.

Can’t login. I can’t login with my credentials. I renewed my subscription a few days ago.

Excellent newspaper. Every article is extremely well written and the English translation is perfect. Keep up the great work!

Really great way to inform yourself. I am 13 years old and I think it’s very understandable for someone my age, and all of the “articles” are well written. I also like the diversity of the subjects so yeah great application.

Great addition to my news sources. This is a wonderful addition to my media sources and is easy to read even with my mediocre French. The updates are frequent and the coverage is balanced.

Always the best. Le Monde gives me a clear view of the history, past or in progress and helps me understand it. I have read it since I was a teenager because I love its style.

Great, but why can't we disactivate flash?. Overall, I have to echo everyone's feedback. Quality news, no adds, well organized. However, I was prompted once to receive Flash Info, last minute news. I said "yes". Unfortunately, I can't diasactivate it or make it silent: it pops up on my screen with a "sing" sound at the middle of the night (they are issued during day time in Europe and I am in California). If anyone knows how to, thank you for posting it.

Phishing ads?!. I regularly get ads saying I have over a dozen viruses and that I have to click on a button to clean my iPhone!! Though I understand the need for Le Monde to make some money, I think it’s unethical and ignoble to put adds for housing sites!! Shame on you Le Monde.

App problems, no way to cancel!!. I find the all that the App constantly will refuse to update, requiring me to delete it and reload it. I have considered cancelling my subscription, but there seems to be literally no way to do so! Apparently, this is a life long commitment As for the writing of Le Monde, when I can get to the content, I am content. App crashes about every 3 to 4 uses.

What’s important elsewhere gives perspective on our own “environment”. First of all, I LOVE getting the news in French. French news. Hardly anything about the elephant in our room. More about Africa. A lot about that side of the Atlantic. Puts our ridiculous civil life in perspective, though I will always be ashamed of our current administration.

A welcome addition to objective journalism. With so many newspapers being bought up by various billionaires with their own agenda that swaays their reporting, LeMondes views are a welcome addition to the short list of newspapers with relatively more objectivity. Bienvenue mes amis !

30 years I’ve keen reading LeMonde. I read a variety of newspapers and magazines. I still prefer to have a physical paper but the world is now online. Le Monde has done a great job with her app. Beyond that this really is as high-quality authentic investigative reporting as you can find. The articles are meticulously sourced and documented. I only read it in French so I don’t know even if there is a version of it available in English. If they were, it would certainly also be well worth reading

Monthly fee. Gotta sign up and pay a monthly fee to get the best stories. I get that they need to make money but not from me. Thats what advertising is for.

Le Monde in English. Le Monde offers deep readable insights with an objective and impartial perspective on geo-political topics. I am a happy new subscriber.

Beautiful App & Brilliant Political Analysis. I tried out a lot of French news apps, including Le Figaro, and Le Monde is the best hands-down. In addition to taking your French skills to scholarly level, Le Monde offers American and British readers an alternative perspective of international and even domestic news, because Le Monde provides a healthy dose of American and British politics too.

10/10. They’re the most honesty and straightforward publication reporting on all world events. I trust them, I donate money, I’m thankful. A Guardian comes as a close second for anyone else interested in how to keep up to date.

Trusted news, no spins, no patronizing. I always find time to peruse le Monde, always a pleasure, easy on the eye and on the mind, and primarily, broad coverage of international news — it is my go-to source when I want to know what is happening in the world, objectively, without bias, without patronizing.

Love Le Monde, the app is meh. I love Le Monde but the app could be better. It’s kinda glitchy. Also, there’s no way to save articles for later besides adding them to “favorites”

Best news source in the world. I’m in the U.S. and read this daily. Great source of international news and it’s very well laid out...other media would do well to at least try to replicate the format. My English and Spanish skills are both stronger than my French yet I still prefer Le Monde to all others!

Great app, great news source. Le Monde is my go-to app (along with The Guardian) for an alternative to North American news sources. Solid reporting on a diverse set of topics.

One of the best newspapers!. I subscribed to Le Monde as soon as it went online. Its articles are well-researched and much more profound than the Internet-grabbing headlines and shallow articles. This is something we need in these desperate times with Climate Change and War upon us.

Well-designed app, interesting articles. Le Monde has a great app, and it’s an excellent newspaper—a good way to get a fresh perspective on the news of the day, assuming that you speak French!

FIVE STAR COVERAGE. Indeed! I peruse 4 European newspapers online every day and Le Monde is at the top, in terms of French, European and world news, with a very balanced perspective. P.S.: It also keeps my “amateur French” alive and kicking!

Fine newspaper app. Works well on iPad and iPhone with a clean design and straightforward menu. Great content, decidedly unbiased, objective and thoughtful source of news and analysis. A relief from many overtly political papers.

Has English Language Edition but not supported by the App. While Le Monde is generally aligned to the left editorially, most of the news articles are geared toward being factual as opposed to using the news to spin narratives. This makes it my top International news outlet, and it has an English language edition. The only problem being is the app doesn’t support the English language edition.

Great French perspective. Le Monde’s excellent articles give a judicious European perspective on the US and the world.

Le Monde. Articles in the front page have very small typeset. Hard to read.

A great way to get a different perspective on the news, and to keep up French language skills. Le Monde is the only news source that is allowed notifications on my phone. If the world is coming to an end, let me be told about it in French.

Crashes all the time. There is update after update and it still crashes when opening. I am also subscribing to the NYT and they are able to have a stable app. Get decent programmers for a change.

Updating review. I had some subscription problems, but they’ve been resolved. The paper, of course, is excellent, and the digital products are terrific.

Good content, app needs work. I like the editorial content because it’s not sensationist like The Times of London. But the app needs features - ability to bookmark articles, search articles, and maybe comment on them.

Search feature needs improvement. The app is fine, the content is informative and trustworthy. But the search app is lacking, it should allow for advanced search features.

Best in Class. Excellent international and French reporting. Really goes into depth where other papers have abandoned long-form journalism. Coverage of US issues is excellent and without the mark of Democrat or Republican (though the paper is clearly and appropriately left-Euro in orientation).

J'adore Le Monde. I love receiving news from Le Monde. I pay for the premier service (édition abonnés) without reservation. I do wish I had time to read more articles and get the most out if it, but it's still worth it.

Certainement la pire app pour un journal !. - Une navigation et ergonomie confuse (un coup on ferme une fenetre avec La Croix en haut à gauche, puis le second coup c'est en bas à droite) - Bourrée de publicités - Ouvre par moment Le navigateur automatiquement sans raison pour télécharger d'autre application Il serait temps d'embaucher un vrai designer/UX/UI !

Abonnement trop cher. Je ne comprends pas du tout la stratégie du journal Le Monde... D’une il est pratiquement impossible de lire quoi que ce soit d’intéressant en version « gratuit » (financé par les pubs) Pratiquement tout est en version abonné. Comment souhaitez-vous que les lecteurs aient envie de s’abonner dans des conditions ? Après quand je vois le prix exorbitant du l’abonnement je me pose des questions quand au positionnent du journal en terme d’éthique au niveau de l’accès à l’information et à l’éducation. Pourquoi ne prenez-vous pas une approche relativement proche du journal « The Guardian » ? Le prix de leur abonnement reste abordable et la plupart de leur contenu est accessible à tous les lecteurs.

La pire des propagandes. Le Monde est devenu le pire des journaux de propagande: Mondialiste, Eurofanatique, pro-migrants, anti-France, communautariste.

Arretez de me diriger vers l'application Uber !. J'utilise souvant l'application que j'apprecie beaucoup etant a l'etranger. Mais l'application saute automatiquement sur la page de telechargement de l'app Uber !!! Et vraiment tres souvant, sans que je ne tape sur aucun lien. C'est insuportable et c'est du marketing force. Jamais je n'utiliserai Uber rien que pour ca. Je vais arreter d'utiliser Le monde bientot si ca continue.

One of the great newspapers. Le Monde's commitment to investigate is as good as any major media in the world. I appreciate being able to read it in English.

Needs improvement. The app has a major glitch. Sometimes it doesn't update at all even after trying a couple of times to reopen or change the settings. It keeps showing the last page I've been reading when I click on another news/page.

Absolutely useless. Being such a fantastic journal, this app was really promising. Sadly, after the first 15 or so articles read, nothing else is available for a whole month unless you pay for a ridiculous amount of money. I’d uninstalled it and went looking for french news elsewhere.

Forcing updates is rude. The sickness of our times, always finding a way to distract you from your original focus; forcing people to update is absolutely annoying, and a blatant lasiness from your developers who’d rather annoy customers rather than thinking thru and resolve rightfully a problem; just make the effort to keep backward compatibility, and give us the choice to update or not. If is am forced again in an update I will just end my subscription and trash the app. You got warned.

Problèmes de stabilites. De gros problèmes de stabilité depuis la dernière mise à jours avec les portfolios, le support du multi-application. L'application plante régulièrement. De plus la barre de menu qui se rétracte automatiquement lors de la lecture est assez dérangeante. Vivement une mise à jours pour corriger ces bugs.

How do I get the English version?. This app is supposedly available in English but there does not seem to be any way to convert it from French. I've looked through the app, been on the support site and I can't find out how to do it anywhere. If an English version is advertised they should actually provide some support literature in English as well.

Le Monde review. This app is great for me: I am an ex teacher of French, now living in Australia. I can now follow the news in French, and listen to the videos.

Les informations. C'est une bonne qualité des informations du monde entier qu'on reçoit et c'est un bon équilibre avec des informations du monde anglophone.

Une référence. Très bien juste je suis déçu de constater la disparition de la rubrique articles "les plus partagés" dont j’étais un utilisateur très fréquent.

Nommer les États-Unis. Un commentaire: L’utilisation du nom Amérique pour nommer spécifiquement les États-Unis dans un texte qui concerne ce pays en dérange quelque peu le rythme de lecture. Mon expérience: un questionnement réflexe surgit : de quelle Amérique est-il question? En lien avec quel argument? Ah! On parle des États-Unis! Et la question suivante: pourquoi ne pas nommer ce pays par son nom plutôt que par celui du continent, comme c’est le cas de tous les autres me semble-t-il... Comment je vois Le Monde. Le Monde reste pour moi l’un des standards en matière de presse écrite.

Données d'utilisation. "En utilisant Le Monde, vous acceptez la transmission des données de navigation" Non, pas du tout; désinstallé...

Le monde. Pour les reactions des lecteurs Il y a des Algorithmes qui font une veritable censure Il y a donc des mots et des idées interdites

Classification des rubriques internationales. Rien a dire sur les articles du journal qui sont super et recherchés. L'application pour iPhone cependant devrait permettre de visualiser les régions du monde (international) comme la version pour P.C.

Un brin de vérité pour une montagne de partie pris. Le monde n’est plus, une suite de vérité qui en font un nouveau livre d’histoire et de vérité en sujétions qui se conforte l’une avec l’autre .

5 Étoiles. Rien à modifier pour moi. Bien satisfait d’obtenir des nouvelles et reportages d’une autre région du monde. M. Boyte, Québec, Canada.

Une information complète. Plusieurs animations d’articles ne fonctionnent pas sous iOS... (Tableaux, menus déroulants). Et tant que vous ne vous laissez pas aller à des anglicismes dont les français raffolent, it’s all good! :)

Super chouette. L’application permet à toute sorte de personne, à recevoir les nouvelles de partout dans le monde et cela me plaît beaucoup 👌

Pure propagande du World Economic Forum. Pour ceux qui ont de l’argent à gaspiller et qui désirent être tenu au courant des projets d’esclavage à grande échelle cette appli est recommandée. Le wokisme à la 10ème puissance est étalé dans toute sa grandeur.

Illogique. L’application ne nous permet pas de lire en même temps le journal, alors que nous sommes dans la même maison sous le même réseau. De plus, c’est celui qui ouvre l’application en second qui est prioritaire. Il suffit que mon épouse ouvre un article pour que l’appli se ferme sur mon iPad. Génial, non ?

Professionnalisme. Très bien rédigé par des professionnels de haut niveau.

Mon avis. Les articles sont sérieux, il n’y a rien à dire. Venant d’un pays où la monnaie n’est pas convertible, je reste sur ma faim car je ne peux pas m’abonner pour lire les articles dans leur totalité

Bon choix de textes. Sa lecture donne par la suite la possibilité de pouvoir exprimer des opinions, ou commentaires, des contributions comme ils les appellent.

Peut faire mieux. Rien à redire sur le contenu, excellent, mais pour ce qui est de l’app: - article laissé ouvert rafraichi (donc disparait) automatiquement bcp trop vite - vaste majorité, croissante, du contenu réservée aux abonnés payants - plusieurs fonctionnalités contre-intuitives ou difficiles à identifier (du moins pour un utilisateur nord-américain…)

Très instable. Jamais vu une application qui plante autant. Temps de mise à jour des articles interminables.

Gourmand en données. 1Go de données téléchargées le mois dernier sur mon forfait, ça fait beaucoup quand le principal intérêt du Monde c’est le texte. Les français ont peut être des données illimitées, mais c’est pas le cas du monde entier. Peut être qu’un petit mode sélectionnable des les préférences pour réduire la consommation des données vaudrait le coup (pas de préchargement systématiques des images et vidéos par exemple ? Sérieux même Facebook ne m’a pas pris autant de données...)

Instable.... Depuis que j'ai effectué la dernière mise à jour de cette application (qui était la meilleure de sa catégorie) ça crashe à répétition. Je ne sais pas ce que les programmeurs ont voulu ajouter mais c'est complètement râté. Dommage qu'il est impossible de revenir en arrière.

Toujours aussi pertinent et bien écrit. Je suis heureux de lire Le Monde à Montréal et c’est toujours avec grand plaisir que je retrouve tous les jours des articles de fond, pertinents et fort bien écrits. Un petit bémol cependant; la lecture sur tablette ne devrait pas ressembler à celle d’un journal papier. Allez voir le journal La Presse et sa façon de présenter ces articles. Subscription dark patterns. To those thinking about subscribing to Le Monde you should know something in advance. In order to sign up they make it easy and entirely digital. However if you would like to spot the subscription there is no way to do it digitally and on their FAQs state that you need to send registered mail to France in order to unsubscribe. This is so far beyond unacceptable and is clearly a dark pattern where they want to make it as hard as possible to stop paying even if their product is terrible.

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Good news app. Make sure you can read French, but the app is a very good mobile version of Le Monde

New policy of 15 free articles per month. I have been using this app for years now but with the new policy in place it's not worth it anymore. It allows only 15 free articles per month. Most of the articles can be viewed on Yahoo! anyway so what's the point in having the mobile users pay extra ? I'll have to use another app from now on...

Awesome tool for learning French, ads are awful. Great tool for advanced learners who are also interested in world affairs. I especially like being able to switch to other sections of the news. However, the adds feel quite invasive at times.

Essential for French travellers, and many more. The great thing here is the scope, based on French & European news AND always mixing with worlwide events, in live.

Good content, bad application. Don't update!!! Le Monde is one of the first application I installed on my iPad, have been enjoying it for years. The latest update is very disappointing, basically makes the application focus on the headlines like Le Point does. The navigation between themes is cumbersome, preferences cannot be saved.

My favorite news app. Easy to use, excellent graphics, unsurpassed sharing facilities. I'm also a NYT reader, but LeMonde puts the Times to shame in app world.

Does not load up properly. I have the most resent iPhone and update the iOS and electronic subscription to the newspaper but unfortunately the newspaper stopped downloading and I cannot get any help from LeMonde or even a response.

Article limit work-around. When you reach the limit of 15 articles for the month, simply delete the app and reinstall. This resets your count.

Can't update content anymore. Content update does not work anymore since 03/05. I still get the ad banners on the top of the screen, but the area that usually contents the article is definitely blank ! Reinstalling the app does not help. Please fix it.

Very good layout, but some technical bugs.... Excellent navigation tool, well thought trough. I have some ongoing problems downloading the PDF version though (slow or stuck...). Without this issue, a 5 star!

Great newspaper; great app. Le Monde gives you news you might not find in US papers. The app makes it easy to access. If you can't read French already, this is a good way to learn!

Worldwide News in French. If you can read French, this is a very good option to read news about what happens all around the world, especially Europe and Far Orient

Last version does not work anymore on iPad1. (using an iPad1) Until the last version, I experienced a few random freezing issues, mostly because of the ads page. Annoying but ~ok. But since the last update the app does not even start. Even after a full reboot of the iPad(1).

Stay in touch with French news and French language. Despite the limited number of articles available for free, the articles are informative and well-considered. Some of the articles can be very much in depth. It's a great way to keep your language skills sharp, and to stay in touch with current events in France.

Spam. Cannot read articles the stops and you directly to App Store for some spam application. This version is essentially spamware. Update version 7.3. Still unusable as the app spams you directly to the App Store for some 3rd party app. Update 7.4.1. Still spams directly to App Store for 3rd party app. Unusable.

Good but not generous. Compared to other apps, Le Monde allows you to read 15 articles for free, then no more! Le Figaro is much more generous and I am sorry for that because I prefer the quality and the editorial thinking of Le Monde.

Good app and paper. Breaking news notifications as well as full articles on the app. You can follow different content areas so that they will be displayed on your homepage (for instance, French presidential election news etc). I use it to practice French but it's a good varied news source with high quality articles

Difficult to read. Every time I click on any news, the whole text that appears is wider than the screen of my iPhone 5s, which is of course VERY uncomfortable to read.

Excellent perspective and personalization. Great reporting, plus the app is easy to personalize. Notifications are fantastic - not too many and on issues I might otherwise miss.

Very useful app. One of the best apps to be in touch not only with french news, but worldwide. Le Monde offers an impartial point of view.

Can't use if not a subscriber. Le Monde will now inform you about how many free articles you can read in a month with a non-dismissible black window in the middle of the screen. It hides most of the content and there is no way to close the notification. So reading the live feed or an article becomes impossible if you're not a subscriber. Le Monde will charge a steep fee (eventually over $250 per year, higher than NYT) to read more than 15 articles. The limit seems to apply to viewing blogs and reader comments, not even from journalists! This pricing is not even clearly stated. Not good practices.

Easy to use app. I got the app to try to have some French in my day. It has been a pleasant surprise. Works better than any other news app I have including the NYT.

Love it!. A great complement to my online subscription. Also ideal for advanced students and tous les francophones! Clean, simple, and effective. Not one problem yet.

Huge Font size. When you click on a story, the resultant display has a huge font size that cannot be read on the screen of an IPhone. This makes the app useless. Please fix this

Indispensable. Great source for news. Quite often they report on events here in the US before it is reported on US news outlets. It is indispensable.

iPad registration broken. If you sign up for the paid subscription on the iPad, you may find that you have problems with the app crashing when you try to register so that you can use it on other devices. The form works fine on the iPhone, though, and the app is smart enough to realize that if you are subscribed on one, then you are subscribed on the other…
