Yes!. Finally, a Spanish program I can really use! I just needed to brush up on vocabulary and this does the trick. I feel like I am really learning something. Very happy with this program. Maybe after I use it for awhile I will come back and give 5 stars!

Spelled in native alphabet+English phonetics+English translation. Very very good tool for learning! Really encourages you to check daily cause if you don't, you don't get to keep that days new word in you flashcard stack. Good push to check. Also excellent pronunciation+ phonetic English spelling, and translation. Have Farsi and Arabic wordoftheday as well, and though all are GREAT to have, Spanish choice of words has been best so far.

Love it. My children are learning Spanish and this is the perfect tool to introduce them to vocabulary. It also is great to practice on the go. Works great for me too!!

Bueno. I really like this app, it really is helping me memorize new words. I wish they would add a couple of sentences along with the word to familiarize myself with proper sentence structure. It's a great idea. The app has crashed on me a few times though, that's why 3 stars.

Voice Recorder = A+. It's exactly what it says. 1 word a day - with the translation, with the audio, with the recorder, with the word bank, and with free price tag. And I love it. 1 word a day is perfect for me. When I'm ready to take Spanish on more seriously, I'll upgrade to the full version. the tools in this application, audio, recorder is really good for working on pronunciation

Poor file names. I have installed several of the WordPower Lite applications for different languages. The problem is that on the computer, they are all named "WordPowerLt 1.2.ipa" regardless of the language. When more than one of these applications is installed, then your hard drive will be filled with a bunch of files named ""WordPowerLt 1.2.ipa", ""WordPowerLt 1.2 1.ipa", ""WordPowerLt 1.2 2.ipa" and so on, regardless of the language. Even on the iPhone home screen, all the applications are just named "WordPowerLt". After opening an application and viewing the Info for each application, every one of them is just named ""WordPower Lite V1.2". This is just plain lazy and sloppy. Developers should not get lazy with file names. The name of the file on the hard drive and the name of the application displayed on the iPhone should all be the same as the name that is displayed in iTunes.

Needs more useful words. Brandy = Brandy, app needs more useful & creative words to make learning more creative & fun.

Fantastic!. This is by far the best app for learning Spanish! I look forward to seeing the new word. I am starting to figure out the word and then listening to how close I was! Getting the letter sounds down! Awesome! Awesome!

Easy way to learn Spanish. I have been looking online for some time at different language courses. While many are quite good, the difference in price of them and WordPower is kind of silly. I was only using WordPowerLT but decided to go a little deeper with my learning and for $9.99 to get the full WordPower program was a no brainer! Even if you decide to go further into the language, this is an affordable way to introduce yourself to Espaniol without investing too heavily!

Not worth it. I concur with all but the suspicious unnatural reviews in that this is way too crappy as a free app to bother buying more of the same. It's not "free" anyway in that it's riddled with ads that you have to constantly avoid hitting on a small screen. I often buy apps after trying the free versions but only if they can show some level of fuctionality and value but that's definitely not this thing especially relative to the dozens of berthed spanish learning apps put there.

Don't bother. This is a terrible app. The words are not useful, the word bank empties itself, and when you try to delete this app from your phone it WON'T GO AWAY. and, every morning at about 7 am, this stupid program that I can't delete sends me an SMS message to inform me that "a new version is available." I wish I had never installed this stupid thing. Use it at your own risk.

Works well. You can do just the word of the day when busy, or study the phrases. The thing I like is it is it is cost effective.

Good app. I love this app I like how each day a new word is given so you can take it slow and easy a calm vioce pronounces the word so you know how too i reccommend it to anyone who anxious to learn a new language

Pretty good app. Sometimes I'm annoyed when they use a number as the daily word, but it's the first thing I do every morning. I can hear native pronunciation and start my day in the spirit of learning. Most of the words have everyday use.

Little slow. I think this program is useful I wish it show a new word everyfew hrs like every five or so

Kinda cool. It's a very simple concept, yet also very clever! I like the new updates, and that I can now see the word used in a sentence.

Update dumps word bank. For the last several months I dutifully used this application daily to add a word a day to my Spanish vocabulary. For all the new Spanish words that I had not yet memorized, I added each of them to the application's word bank. I thought that the word bank was a useful feature storing months of my learned and to be learned vocabulary. But with today's application update, the contents of the word bank are entirely trashed. Such is the reward for relying on a free app!

Awesome. Easy to use o n the go. I don't have time to stop and read a book an even carry a book around all day, so this app in my phone with me constantly is soooo convenient. The system is also easy for a beginner like me to practic. GW

Great program/app. I love getting a new word each day. It'd be nice to add a translator so that if you have a word you need, you can ask the program and it'll translate the word, too. Currently 2 apps are needed...having them combined would make this an even better tool.

You can not trust this app. I down loaded the free app but it does not wk. I tried to find out how much the full app was and when i pressed full version it went to itunes and asked for my password w/o telling me how much i was about to spend. When I tried to read reviews it showed there were 8 but when I went under reviews it only showed 1 and that was favorable. I would not touch this app.

Brilliant. I have taken many Spanish classes over the years walking away wishing I could speak it fluently but was unable to. I like being able to go back and practice what I thought I knew from past lessons. Great job!

Words are very basic but wordbank helps a lot!. I like the application. Its basic stuff so its more of a stepping stone tool. But the best thing about it is the word bank option. Its nice because I need to focus on the advanced words. I can at least pick the words I want to concentrate on Hopefully they will come out with more words, and more advanced words later (achem) but for a basic application I give it four stars.

A new word every day. This app gives you a new word to learn every day. Most of the time the words are used in sentences. There is an audio button which allows you to hear the proper pronunciation, and an audio button which allows you to record yourself and listen to your own pronunciation. There are also flash cards which allow you to practice what you have learned. This app isn't going to teach you grammar and sentence structure but is great for learning vocab words and how to use those words.

Delighted!. This app is stimulating and where is that I didn't expect. The creators of this app have found ways to keep the learner's mind engaged on the language and undistracted by those thoughts that can creep into one's mind when the study becomes laborious. Boredom definitely never happens with this app!

Word memory!. I like this app it helps me with my word recognition and accent. This helps me in my daily brain exercises to keep me on my toes.

Good learning tool. I've been using the app for some time and always enjoy learning the new words and how they are generally used in a sentence. This app and teaching methodology has been very useful to me in that learning process.

Does not do what promised. Does not offer the most basic functions in 7 days free review. Also does not seem to be anymore than a vocabulary trainer. That does not make you learn how to talk to people. And the recorded voice has a bizarre accent, which friend from Spain was not able to identify. I will find something better I am sure.

As advertized. (V2.1.1). A word a day, with audio and record, for free. If it hadn't deleted a year's worth of vocabulary after the last update, I would rate it higher. (Now I back up my lists: Problem solved.) On the occasional cut-off of audio that another reviewer mentioned, a second playback plays it through. A good beginning language instruction application.

Not Worth It. Even for free I do not recommend. For the asking price of $0.99, I definitely would not purchase. 1) PROMO VERSION - This lite version is really a sample of their expensive $9.99 version. Both versions are overpriced. This should be FREE always and the pro should be no more than $4. 2) ONE WORD DAILY - Not helpful if you want to build vocab. There are better apps that have vocab flashcards grouped by category or an audio phrasebook for better comprehension. 3) UNTRUSTWORTHY - This company has a reputation for errors. I have 2 different apps that have mistakes with gender article concordance, wrong or mispelled words, & non-native translations. 4) BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - No response to email about correcting errors. Update to fix mistakes seems unlikely.

Great daily vocabulary resource!. I love the daily word feature. It is very helpful to listen to the word, listen to uses of the word, and being able to record and listen to me speaking.

Great way to learn. This is exactly the way I have always visualized learning Spanish. The strategy they use to teach is hard to put into words because I don't want to over simplify it, so I'll just say it is nothing short of genius. I love it so far and can't wait until the next lesson! I wish I could get back all the money I have given to all those other learn to speak Spanish CDs, books and apps. Oh well, at least I've found something that will finally work.

Spanish Lite, Free!. I was looking over the applications and saw that this application had become free! Since it was free I thought, might as well pick it up, nd I am happy I did! I am a big fan of what they have done with WordPower Japanese, Chinese and Korean, and again they did not disappoint me! I studied Spanish a few years ago, and my Spanish has become very rusty... embarrassingly so! But at least I am getting some words back, and my pronunciation has definitely improved in a big way! I wish they could have made Japanese and Korean free lets say two weeks ago, but I don't regret purchasing the apps. I really recommend this application to anyone that like Spanish (especially those that haven't worked on their Spanish for a while- like me)

Good. At first I was confused because it only gave me one word so I waited until the next day and then it gave me another one and I realized it gives you a word a day. I think that's really smart so you can take a day to learn a word instead of them all being forced on you at one time. I didn't download the pay version yet. I see no reason to. I'm happy with what it is giving me now.

Meh. Not the best app for learning Spanish. It could be better. I got this app to learn Spanish, not French. So I'm a little disappointed in this app. You need to buy the Spanish version or something else that's bull.

Good. Good but it already crashed. I re down loaded it and lost all my saved words. We will see if it crashes again. Other then that it's good to have 1 word a day that's enough for me to try to learn, they add up.

v1.5 update erases your wordbank! :-(. Although the v1.5 update gives you the ability to add more than one word a day, it also erases the wordbank that you might've built up over months by launching the app every day! This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional on the part of the developers, showing such disregard for their users' time & effort. Skip this update & wait for the next one that does NOT trash your hard-earned wordbank!! I'll change my rating from one star after they fix this.

Nice. I like the word lists, and since I don't speak Spanish, the audio is crucial. I like getting the word of the day with common phrases, too. Nice for studying a bit every day.

I want to like this.... I have WordPower for Japanese and find it very useful. However, I'm hesitant to purchase the Spanish or French versions becaus none of the audio clips seem to include noun gender. I see it on the flashcard itself, but that presumes I'm looking at the flashcard at all, when I often listen to the words on this app while in my car, swiping from word to word while looking at the road. From my previous experience learning Romance languages (I studied French for several years), the noun gender needs to be repeated over and over and over to stick in most people's heads. It must treated as part of the word itself, whether you use la, el, los, les, whatever. This isn't an option if you want your speech to be taken seriously. If this ever gets changed, I would love to buy the app.

Sorry. Have to agree with many of the reviews. While it does essentially what they said, the word selections are bizarre and not really useful. This is the lite version so they want you to buy the full version but I never pay for an app and have some great ones. This one isn't and I feel generous giving it two stars.

It does what it says. It does what it says, gives you one word a day. You have to pay if you want more than one word per day (which is fine). Works fine but I want more.

SMH. It's a free app, so I'm not expecting too much from it. However, what I am expecting from a LANGUAGE app is the correct definitions. I have caught some mistakes with the definitions and it defeats the purpose of having this app if I cannot even trust that all the definitions are correct. (example: weekend is NOT new in Spanish and calm is NOT tranqui. It's tranquilo. There are other that I have found, but these were just from today. So be careful when you study. If it doesn't seem right, double check. So off I go to search for a more reliable app.

Ok. The flashcards are great as is the listen function but I wish you could either choose words you wanna learn or be given words that are immediately applicable

Does what it says - well, used to. If you're prepared to follow the suggested heuristic, you'll be rewarded. If you're lazy, you won't. Update: now the app crashes on launch every time and has done for some time without any update. Don't bother with it.

Sound?. I was having a problem with sound, but the developer quickly addressed my email and advised that: "iPhone apps all seem to share the same volume settings." So even though I had the IPhone ringer turned up in General, I had to turn the IPhone ringer up from within the game I had been playing, not as a game option, but the actual ringer, and then everything worked great. And I now find this to be a handy application.

Learning Spanish. It’s perfect app I am Iranian and I love to learn Spanish but I don’t have time to go to colleges and this app learn me a word everyday and I know a lots of word now and I am so happy to find and work with this app I hope I can talk Spanish very soon

It's okay. This app is okay. The fact that it only gives you one word per day makes you learn Spanish at an extremely slow pace. Not to mention that they give you words that you'll never really use (or use extremely rarely). I mean, some of the words I got were words like 'destorillador' (screwdriver) or 'me falta valor para ser' (I'm not brave enough to be), which I've never used. If you want to learn Spanish over the period of a few years, this is the app for you, but if not, I wouldn't suggest this app.

No mas!. Not very intuitive. Cannot quickly and logically progress beyond some natural gas nonsense in the first window. Just an offer to pay $10. Show me that you're worth it first.

Whats going on!!!. This app worked fine until two wks ago. It just stopped doing what it says it does altogether. It does no longer store words in wordbank. The pronounciation of the word no longer works. And it does not give new word any more. Its been displaying Abordar/board for the past wk. Wrote to report problem, but My emails remain ignored. Disapointed, and wondering if this is intentionally in order to get me to purchase their upgrade!! If so , might as Well shop and check out all apps Totally disapointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't use most recent update. The previous version was a decent way to learn a new word a day. Vey basic and easy to use. Now I can't find what I'm being notified about. You just lost three stars buddy.

Not even worth free. Weeks with the same word. Many translations not even accurate. Example water is not the translation for toilet. And what is the dialect?

Worst app!. After a week of trying to update it STILL will not load. All my other apps did. This is ridiculous!
