Just starting Hebrew. The app sounds like native Hebrew speakers, though I never have been to Israel but I think with dedication learning native the accent will help me become both confident and fluent. A few of the flash cards don’t match up between the written and the spoken word/phrases though.

Hebrew. I am learning Hebrew much faster than I expected. I am determined to work hard so that if I go to Israel I can speak fluently. Your app has inspired me to practice every morning. When I get home from school. And before bed. My rabbi told me that the higher students were writing songs! They are only a grade above me! My friend suggested that I try this app.

Drop Drop. This app program is excellent. I was learning so much...then it stated dropping. “iCloud is syncing”. Slow to open, if it doesn’t drop first. Drops and opens delay response. I have the iPhone X ... can’t get this back. אני עצוב

A lot of material. Ok I started with the free stuff and wow that’s a lot of stuff. I like how the words are broken downs and pronounced slowly. I am new to Hebrew so that is a plus. I went ahead and unlocked everything for only 9.99 and I have enough stuff to last for some time. I have.l not used all the tools since right now I am trying to learn vocabulary but what I have used is awesome. Great buy and highly recommend

Love!!!. I rate this a 5 because I have tried to use other apps but for me they didn’t seem to help I have issues with rolling my Rs or even speaking words with Rs because I have an issue with my tongue where I have a bad tongue tie I found this tonight and have just tried it. And honestly I feel like I can pronounce it a lot better then what the other apps have shown me and it has made me feel good that I am learning a new language and this app doesn’t get me frustrated like the others did

Good idea, poor execution. A lot of words don't have any recorded sound. English transliteration is very poor. Very few verbs and adjectives, this app seems to focus mainly on nouns. I've purchased a few apps as I don't want to waist my time and I find that competitors are better overall.

Great app. Although there are a couple of changes I would make to the UI, this app is really wonderful and is definitely helping me add to my Hebrew vocabulary. Thanks for the great app guys!

Crashes ALL THE TIME. This used to be a very nice simple app with its own merits until the last update. Now not only does it crash all the time, it also occasionally restarts the iPad. On top of that it doesn't clear previous word-of-the-day phrases. Ever since the last update many many many months ago it's been displaying "I like to eat dinner with my friends". Developers, please fix this as you promised you would many many many months ago!

Assumptions. Having little experience with Hebrew, except many years ago this app assumes you know the Hebrew alphabet and what words or sentences look like right away! There are other apps that give you the English version of each word by tapping on it and then you need to put it in the order of Hebrew sentence structure, here you’re guessing or stuck

Clear and straight forward. The a is easy to navigate and easy to understand. It offers the sound, the latin phonetic spelling and the Hebrew spelling.

Not bad. Couple of errors in words-- pronunciations Would rather see a more traditional Hebrew Font, like Frank Reuhl, or Hadassah. Or give us a choice of type faces. ----- Thanx.

Enjoying the word a day. Learned Hebrew in Hebrew school years ago but never learned to speak - just read and write. So now I'm learning the meaning of words.

Marti. I am new at Hebrew and I really enjoy this app. The features reinforce learning on several sensing levels helping me to retain what I am learning. Went to Israel not too long ago and was even able to try out a little bit of Hebew!

Teacher. Pronunciation is good to have. Word selection is random. Minimum chance to apply because the words don't even relate to each other or conversations that I would have with anyone.

Better Version. This version is better than the last. At least this version has pronunciation. However, this version still has bugs. Some words have the pronunciation grayed out. Also, the pronunciation sometimes does not correspond with the English. For example, the pronunciation of "vegetables" (plural) is said for vegetable (singular). Version needs work!

Must Buy. Fabulous features too numerous to list, yet very flexible. User friendly and open ended interface for learning vocabulary, with direction towards the more common used words. Nice pronunciation audio tools as well. A must buy.

Convenient. This is actually one of the better Hebrew app I found so far. A little pricey but good to have around.

Great way to learn vocab. The words per industry are really helpful along with the vocab words in the sentence. The pronunciation is a little off or too fast sometimes but overall a great app to brush up on Hebrew!

Great App!. This is by far the best app for learning the Hebrew Language. It helps me to retain what I've learned, as I do not have anyone to practice the language with. It's great!

Lots of buggyness. Since this was "improved" it's been relatively useless. First of all, the new interface takes longer to load and goes to a title page instead of directly into the program like it used to. When I updated, it lost the dozens and dozens of words and phrases I had already accumulated. And about 1/3 of the time now the only pronunciation available for the word of the day is the English. I'm trying to learn Hebrew. I can already speak English. If the definition of the word is long, it is blocked and unable to be seen because of bad screen design. This had so much potential and I used to look forward to the new words every day. Now I really wonder why I even bother.

To the point. Does what it says: a daily word or phrase of idiomatic Ivrit. Having vowel marks would be helpful in guiding pronunciation, but as they're little used, it's well to learn the look of the words as they appear in actual text.

I enjoy learning!. I have received and retained more Hebrew with this little app.. Visual, verbal, applied, and can write myself. I love it the 4 entrances to the brain.

Good for vocab!. I really like the variety of useful vocab, and find the sample sentences an added bonus for helping me get a handle on Hebrew grammar. The 'word of the day' has actually helped me learn a lot of random grammar. My one criticism is that I upgraded to the full version, but it still shows as the free version on my ipad. Just wish it would update to reflect that it was purchased, but that is a very minor flaw.

Great!. I love this app. I find the way they select the words makes it easy for me to learn the new ones without getting confused with the old. I love the flashcard part and the pronunciation part. Great product!!!

Sketchy translations. It's good, but sketchy accuracy of translation. "Lasim Bul" was translated to English as "post a letter" when it actually means "put on a stamp." BIG difference. I don't trust the translations now. But the other features are good

Great app!. This app is quick and easy. The new word each day reminds you to study. Useful words and keeps things fresh.

Almost perfect!. I like the concept but it needs to fix it's audio. So far the audio is hard to understand/ hear. The rest of this app is awesome!!! Fix the audio and I will give it a full five stars! I do love this app though! Also the words are really random you learn train one day and cat the next it should have sections to choose from like asking for things or conjunctions ect.

Needs Improvement. Pronunciation of Hebrew words is well done. Font size of the Hebrew lettering is small, especially when trying to see vowel points. I set my preferences to have the transliteration turned off, so I need to see those vowels! This version has a bug associated with the audio in the voice recorder. When you record, the volume goes very low (almost inaudible at highest volume setting). When you get out of the voice recorder, the volume stays low. You have to quit the app and then restart it to get the volume back to normal. When upgrading to the paid version, the app's icon still shows "free." Developer, please fix these bugs and add landscape view and a "restore purchase" option in case the customer has to re-install the app. Overall, it's a decent app and helps in learning everyday words.

Very good. I have an iPad and even without the microphone capability the app works great and the flashcards help learn the words in and out. I only miss some more specialized categories and vocab, but otherwise money well spent.

Great vocabulary builder.. I enjoy using this app. It is easy to use and helps to improve reading and vocabulary.

Awesome application with great support. This application is awesome. Each day I couldn't wait for my next word. I liked it so well that I bought the full version. Before that, though, I bought a new iPhone and installed this application on it. When I did this, I lost my wordbank words. The support staff helped me through this issue and was very prompt, professional and friendly. My only recommendation for an upgrade is to add functionality for showing vowel markings optionally.

Fun & helpful...needs search. I like this app a lot, and look forward to my new word every day. It would improve the database a lot if it were searchable...or at least alphabetized. I also liked the previous version in that if you missed a word in flashcard mode it kept adding it back to the pile until you remember it...maybe that feature could be toggled on or off so users can choose depending on learning style and size of the database? Still a good, useful app.

Learn a new word everyday!. Education is always a good thing. A new word every day. See the word, hear the word, then say and listen to your own voice. Later on use the flash cards for support. I feel like I am in an Ulpan. What a great way to learn. There is one other way and you can help to digitize old books in all languages and that is by CAPTCHA.

Eh. I use this app to occasionally brush up on my Hebrew vocab. I actually know a bit after studying it for many years, so I am upset to find that there are errors in the definitions, and audio. For example, this is the first time I've seen this, but a word, אזור עישון, was translated wrong. It means smoking area, but was translated in the app as smoking. Additionally, something I've seen more, the word given is conjugated and in the audio it is infinitive. However I must applaud the fact that the app itself loads much better and does not crash.

Love it!. I LOVE THIS APP! I've always loved Hebrew but chose to learn other languages. Now that I work with Israelis I have a great opportunity to learn and this app is fun and I've surprised my coworkers a few times!

Not bad, but.... I like the app in general, but I don't understand why the vowels are part of the upgrade. That is a basic part of learning, and it's discouraging to have to buy the complete alphabet before I decide if I like the app or not

Helpful. I'm new to Hebrew so this has been very helpful. 4 stars because some of the example sentences do no quite match what the speaker is saying. It's obvious enough that as you follow along, you can see that the written word doesn't match spoken word.

No words. My old word bank never showed. Every time I received a new word the app would open then suddenly close. With the upgrade, I lost what ever word bank I had. Today I received a new word but it won't show although the app at least opens. I thought perhaps I needed to sync but still a no show. I am frustrated with this app.

Great app for a Gentile.. If you are a Gentile who wants to learn hebrew this is a very helpful app. I suppose it would even be helpful if you were a Jew and you wanted to learn hebrew. I check the word for a day every day and it has expanded my vocabulary quite a bit.

Very helpful!. I really like how you can hear the word, and save it to the word bank. The flashcards are useful too; it's nice to be able to change the settings to either Hebrew or English. It's helping me to learn.

Excellent!. What a wonderfully effective way to learn a new language! The categories are easy to navigate, and the verbal reinforcement is helpful. There is a voice recording feature that allows one to hear one's own voice pronouncing the words. I am studying other languages using other apps, but this one is the best by far.

Awesome!. This app is no joke! If you have the will to learn you will not go wrong with this app. I gave 4 stars because I feel the flashcards could use the dagesh markings to help aid in learning/pronouncing a bit better; but overall no complaints! Good job!!

Very good app. I actually start my day by checking the word of the day and reading/listening to sample sentences. Get disappointed only when no sample sentences are included.

Buggy. This app is well thought-out and has potential. Unfortunately, many examples have bugs in the form of mismatches between the written and spoken forms. If the developer would fix the examples, I would rate it four or five stars.

User Friendly, Take It Anywhere. User friendly interface with picture, sounds, and phonetic transliterations. So far, so good.

Excellent Hebrew Learning Tool. Intuitive and very practical language tool that helps a beginner to intermediate learner grasp a good understanding of everyday Hebrew language. Well worth your investment and time!

No problems. Works fine, but so far has only given me words I already know. There also doesn't seem to be an order to how words are assigned. I would like to study categories.

K. Having audio, writing in native language, and transliteration is probably the best way to go, though it would be nice if the Hebrew words has vowel pointings (niqudot). My other complaint is that often the words are rediculously basic, or a country name that's a homophone. Last thing: why is Hebrew the only one that costs something? I am currently living in Israel, and so have the Arabic and Hebrew, and that really annoys me.
