Keeper Password Manager Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Very good app, but.... I like nearly everything about the app. Seamlessly fills in login info in websites using FaceID. Allows me to have a very strong password without having to type it in every time. Works extremely well, and is worth the investment for me. Here’s the reason for 4 stars and not 5, though. My biggest complaint is nearly every time I open the app I have to dismiss a pop up wanting me to purchase more features the app offers. I get it, you’ve got more to offer. But I’ve made the decision to purchase what I currently have, and I don’t want to be constantly bothered with what is basically an ad trying to get me to buy more. I don’t mind a pop up describing new features when they come out, but this is constant reminders of the same things over and over. Gets annoying, especially considering the cost I’ve already invested. Please consider a change on this.

Excellent customer service from Mary. While wearing a mask the app didn’t recognize my facial features. I couldn’t remove the mask to try it without and was struggling to remember my master password so tried a couple of things when I realized it could lock me out and blow up the file. I needed a password for a time sensitive work project and sent a message to customer service. A few minutes later I was able to use the facial recognition feature and it let me in. In the meantime Mary reached out to me to be sure to see if she could help. This was all within a few panicky minutes. Wow!! I love all the features and ease of use, but Excellent customer service takes this to the next level for me. So important but so many companies lose customers for lack of care and response. Thank you Mary!!

It’s expensive. Very expensive.. I have been using the free version of this app since 2019. I have relied on it as a single secure place for all of my passwords. Until today. Today I updated and was locked out of updating any of my passwords. I have no desire to sync it with a cloud service. I just want a single point to access my stuff. But I don’t think $36 / year subscription is anywhere in the realm of reasonable. Why not have free app or even a $4.99 one time purchase with no sync, no cloud. Even a one time $20 purchase wouldn’t be unreasonable. But in a life where every company has made a move to subscription services this is now an annual fee, the next thing will auto manufactures will be charging subscription services for heated seats and remote start….. why can’t we keep one simple thing in life. Passwords. They change all the time. I don’t need a cloud to sync to. I’m not one of the 3 letter agencies. I’m a normal guy who forgets his Netflix password.

Everyday. I use this everyday for all my password protected information. It’s great for remembering and sharing passwords between my family members- and also for my own private information. Especially now that I am taking over my mothers finances- trying to keep it all straight was driving me crazy!! I save my ID cards (Health insurance, auto insurance, copies of drivers license), business cards (my RN license, CPR cards, certifications), email passwords, billing passwords, bank account information and any other accounts I log into. Everything is always at my fingertips. So convenient and worth the Yearly fee. Don’t know how I got along before this app- I had no way to keep all the changing password requirements protected and was always forgetting and resetting passwords. This has changed my life- honestly.

High marks for product & customer service. I have been a keeper user many years and have recommended Keeper to my family, friends, and business acquaintances. Recently I had some charges accidentally placed on my Keeper account (thought I was renewing my account but actually was buying extra cloud space I didn’t need.) Keeper’s customer service rep Jason patiently worked patiently to figure it out, (via email) but, yesterday, the billing dept stated they could not find the charge so they could not issue a refund. Upset, I sent an email insisting on talking with a manager or more senior person. Honestly In today’s world I expected I’d never hear from them and I was planning to close my account. But today I received a call from a Ting Ting in billing who not only fixed the problem but spent a considerable time on the phone explaining what happened and assuring me I would have a refund. Additionally she gave me great advice on improving my security! OMG, a respectable company that employs competent and caring people!! High marks for Keeper for not only giving me a security system but also for treating their customer with respect! THANK YOU MANY TIMES OVER!!

Great product but MFA on their mobile app has issue. Great product, and I’m totally still using it. Seems like the cleanest and safest product out there for password storage. My one complaint is that there is a bug on the iPhone mobile app with using MFA (to require a second factor other than password in order to view vault and account details). If you launch the Keeper app, you’ll get prompted for a second factor. If you hit cancel, you get an error pop up indicating that two factor is required. But at that point, if you double click the home button on your phone, browse to any other open app on your phone, then double click again and browse back to the Keeper app, you will be allowed to see the vault passwords and account details without ever entering that second factor. I opened a ticket with Keeper several months back and was advised that this would be fixed in later releases. But no fix yet. The likelihood of being exploited is small I guess, but for a security-focused software company, the bug is a little disheartening.

Be Careful!!. I have been using this app for about a year and have over 100 login, passwords and notes for numerous business and personal accounts. I just bought an iPhone X and for some reason it’s asking me to log in for every app on my phone. I tried to log in to this app using my email and password and I can’t get in. Worse, after 4 tries, I get a message that all my data has been erased. There is literally no way to reset your password, and there should be a way with security questions, etc. Now all my login and passwords are lost and I’ve spent a lot considerable time putting all of this in from various written sources. Customer service is of no help at all, saying basically “too bad”. UPDATE: after 20 email exchanges, customer service says “we can’t do anything for you” and maintains that because I purchased a new iPhone that my data has been wiped. They can’t retrieve it, can’t even locate my correct email address in their system. READ ALL THE REVIEWS. THIS APP, PAID OR FREE, WILL SOMEHOW LOSE YOUR DATA! If you change devices, lose or destroy your phone, your data is history. Twenty emails and they’re still asking me “do you have another email account?”

Another happy long time user. I have had the Keeper Security App on my phones and my laptop for several years now and have always been happy with the app. Its easy to set up and easy to use for people like me who aren’t as tech savvy as I wish I was. I use it for every password I set up so I can’t possibly forget a password. I did have an issue getting into my account after a fluke thing happened with my phone so I reached out to the support team and Dann helped out quickly. He understood my problem and was very knowledgeable and in a short amount of time had my issue resolved. I have never had to reach out to support before and wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Dann responded to me and how helpful he was...thanks Dann and thanks Keeper Security for being an App that is a necessity for me!!

Major identity theft with this app. Delete delete. I’ve had this subscription for years and so have family members. I have never ever once logged in anywhere except from my phone and it has never been physically compromised from my phone. I do not have my password for this app written anywhere. Nowhere. Hackers got into my Keeper app on a Saturday morning. That’s when I realized that Keeper has no weekend support. International hackers had 22 pages of my data for over 48 hours before I could speak to anyone. Emails were useless as well. Hackers had control of my email and any attempt at getting back into the app was rooted to them. I was totally helpless. It has been 3 days 8-10 hours a day of a complete and total identity theft nightmare that has involved hacker demands for money to stop the madness. They can all eat you know what, including Keeper. The first rep I spoke with was condescending and terribly rude before a nice guy helped but he felt terrible for my loss. Well it’s been pure hell. Feeling terrible for me does absolutely nothing. Everyone I know who has this has deleted their subscription as well. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst worst enemy. Except the damned hackers. Please please don’t be me. Find another way to store your passwords. This is NOT it. You don’t want this disaster in your life.

Swore by keeper. But I have been struggling for a month to get my storage restored after a month delay because of hospitalization. Now I keep running into the oh now you renewed so you can still keep using it, but when I click on it to access my storage information it keeps telling me that I need to renew now. I can’t get anybody on the phone. I can’t get anybody to fix it so if this I’m gonna go find another place to keep my business because this is absolutely ridiculous All of my storage is gone deleted and it was due to be paid May of 24 I was in a bad car accident, and had a lot of other things happening and didn’t get to renew until June or beginning of july and all of my stuff is still missing and there is no restore option, and when it goes to storage, it tells me I need to renew now and if I renew now, it tells me that I’ve already paid and it’s not due to expire until May 2024 so what the heck. Also I’m having really bad back spasms of any sense then somebody from support should fix it for me and then delete this

Needs to listen to customers and cut out the unethical design patterns. First, Keeper has some “interesting” marketing schemes. For example, if you want to unsubscribe from their spam email, you have to unsubscribe which takes you to a site where you have to then enter your email. Then they send you another email with directions to take you to another site to change your preferences. The fun part about that is that they take their time sending this email so that you forget to unsubscribe. Once you do get to the site to unsubscribe, of course all the options are unchecked when you get there so you have to opt out of each. This should probably be illegal. Second, it’s clear what they care about most. On the home screen there’s a yellow box that is always animated and popping up at you. This is their “refer a friend feature.” A good user experience would not have this because that’s not why I have this app. The most important space on the page (the upper left hand corner) should not be dedicated to having me annoy my friends and family. I already paid for the service, I don’t want this annoying me the whole time. Take it away and put it in a menu. It’s already annoyingly in the side menu and in the “+” button area (which is insane). Third, for some reason “identity and payments” are in another section of the app which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. I’ll delete this review if these things get fixed.

Good Security but Bullying Marketing. I’ve used Keeper for well over five years and have always felt and believed my personal data is secure (period & full-stop). That said I offer the following comments regarding our experience: • In-app advertising has improved from heavy-handed bullying to deceptively sleazy. For example, if an in-app ad popped up offering additional storage capacity for images/pictures, the user was given two possible responses: the first response would send the user to the purchase and the second response would offer the user to decline by selecting “No, leave me unprotected.” By declining, how would I be unprotected (I would not be unprotected, it was a mere convenience which was offered). However my elderly parents would have fallen prey to this and needlessly spent money, a factor which has prevented me from recommending the product. This alone was enough to take away two stars. • To Keeper’s credit, they have improved their personnel’s customer service skills during the past 5+ years. • Keeper has added nice features such as being able to securely share a record with another Keeper user with or without author entitlement. Bottom line: Keeper offers safe and secure storage of your PII with some nice feature additions, however you absolutely need to be aware of their up-sell bullying tactics.

Terrible App. Terrible app!! I wish I would have read the other reviews about the extortion and erasing all your files if you don’t pay them!!!! I wouldn’t have having this issue now if I would have read what others had done to their stored info. They trick you into thinking you have a free version and then when your IOS upgrades it completely deletes all your stored information WITHOUT WARNING and they do nothing about it. They email you saying “this is the risk you take using our app” Why make an app that does this?? They want to charge ridiculous price for an app that is essentially the same as your notes section. I wish I would have never stored anything in the app, if I would have just used my notes or a different app and I wouldn’t have this problem now. Have tons of stored passwords there that I had been using for years and now they just all disappeared and unretrievable. Definitely consider using a different method for storing your important information before you lose all of yours as well!!

Don’t ever Forget your master password!!!. This app was working fantastic until I broke my phone and my password did not carry over to my new phone. I had the app for a few years and it worked perfect. When I had to transfer to my new phone I forgot my master password and needed to reset my system. Apparently no matter what there is no way of resetting or changing this master password. So as a result I lost everything. I also had on auto subscribe and was charged the subscription although I haven’t used the app in months. I contacted password keeper and got the same response “tough S%&@$” we don’t help you if you lost your master password and we can’t refund your subscription although we know you haven’t been able to use our service. They just sent me right back to Apple... I don’t usually write reviews but I think it’s important for people to know these details before downloading so you don’t make the same mistake I did. Go with another app that has better customer service.

Decent Password Manager Yet Charges Extra for Basic Functionality. I’ve been using Keeper Password Manager (KPM) since February 2021. I like that they don’t share or sell your personal info to any third parties. KPM is easy to use on my phone and computer. I have only had one incident where I created and saved a password in the app, yet that same password didn’t log me into the site I created it for and said it’s an incorrect password (I changed the password on the site to correct this). I’m knocking 2 stars off for a big reason: BreachWatch Dark Web Monitoring costs an extra $20 year for KPM, yet this same function is free when using many of the competitors (and they charge the same amount ($36) as basic KPM). With data breaches occurring weekly anymore, this basic function should be included without users being charged extra for it. Otherwise, it’s a decent password manager.

Warning!. After having this app (the free version) for over a year, I had a ton of passwords protected on this app. Well, I updated my phone to a new IPHONE XS. I had to input all my passwords into my new apps. Since the XS doesn’t use fingerprint software, I had to remember my password to get into the app (which I couldn’t). So, after getting close to the designated # of incorrect tries prior to erasing the data, I changed my forgotten password. After trying my NEW password, it said it was incorrect and gave me 1 more chance. So, I updated my password AGAIN...with the same password. As I entered it so surely the last time, the app told me I exceeded the number of tries required for a successful password and erased my data on the phone. This was ridiculous!!! So, after re-opening the app, I logged in (with the password that I used that initially said was wrong and erased my data) to find ALL my password data erased. Needless to say, this app tries to force you to pay for the service, and you pay for it if you ever have to change your password. Buyer beware.

Great product. I have been using this Keeper app for over a year and have found it to be fantastic. Maybe almost too secure. I recently went from iPhone 7+ to XSMax and was unable to access the app (along with many other apps) as it went from thumb pint to facial recognition. Silly me did not think to go in and retrieve my access information prior to switching phones so when I got new phone, I could not remember my password or security question answer. After numerous unsuccessful attempts I contacted the developer who informed that without the security question answer, there was not much they could do except erase data and start over. This is not a issue with the app but rather on me for not thinking ahead. The developer has moved my subscription and I am back to using the app again. It really is a great app!! Just heed my advice, if you are upgrading phones, make sure to know your Keeper password and security answer so you can keep all your secure info.

Outstanding. I have been using Keeper for over 10 years. In all 10 years I have never had an issue. Every time I used Keepers I thought it was the best app designed. Especially for people like me that cant remember a password. Life was good until it wasn’t. I changed email, changed wifi, did not have my password for Keepers and I got locked out. This is and was my biggest nightmare. However I’m happy to say that keeper’s kept on asking questions to verify I was the owner. When there was still a doubt and I was desperate I gave them my number and asked for a manager to call me. The next morning I got a call from a manager that was able to verify that I was the owner. She walked me through changing my email, and passwords. I got my keepers back and I’m good to go. After a horrible 2 days. I have to say that they have an EXCEPTIONAL support service and outstanding app. I have told many friends about this app now I can’t say enough good things about them. Don’t think about it. Get it. It’s worth every cent. Thank you Keeper.

Sneaky, but okay for backup app. I have been trying this out as an alternative to 1PW. It’s fast in execution BUT it has several annoying features. I keep getting notices that the app needs refreshing, to log out then log back in. Also, the face recognition works some of the time, not others. When I ask for help they send article references, just what I want to spend the day reading AFTER paying for the the upgrade service, I think! I’m having a hard time trusting the whole entity and wouldn’t be surprised to see additional billing AFTER some time in the future. They are sneaky. Their website does everything possible to avoid customer contact - infuriating, especially when you’re moving from one device to another and you need resolution NOW. Lastly, their ongoing solicitations in the app to upgrade is too much, especially after having been tricked into spending an additional $10 early on, in a cryptic manner to get more storage, implying to make the app function properly???

Keeper. Best app I ever got I have several businesses and venders I have to deal with with this app u got to remember one password and if you use app and put information in it does then rest for you and you can take main password and give ur book keeper or ur attorney or account and if something bad happens to you or pass away or anything crazy god for give all they have to do is get that main password and they have everything they need to carry on and not spend months trying to figure out and it’s not on paper where anybody can find and I don’t know about rest but if you use apple phone iPad or computer it knows them and if they or you login from a different computer this app is going to send msg to your phone or computer to ask you if it ok for that unknown device to login to your account no question about it BEST THING I ever!!!!!!!did THANK and GREAT Support TO J40

Why I Don't Like Keeper. Here are my issues with Keeper: - With the app specifically, Keeper Fill doesn't seem to update while the main Keeper app does. I have to go out of my way to get into the main app to copy and paste my info for entries I made over a week ago. - Keeper constantly tries to upsell you (pop ups in the app and pc, emails, etc) and it's very annoying. - Several months ago, Keeper sent me an email notifying me that my annual subscription was going to renew in a week. It was late in the day so I made a mental note to cancel it, but one day after I got the email, they renewed it. That's just scummy. Apart from feeling like I'm constantly getting harassed by a greedy company, it works fine, barring the issue with the "fill" function not being up to date even when the main app is. My suggestion for the company is to consider finding better ways to maintain your customer retention that doesn't involve being misleading, or aggravating customers with constant upsell attempts, including trying to arbitrarily scare your customers into thinking said upsells are necessary with breach events that don't affect them. TLDR: I've been unhappy with them for a long time; literally the only reason I'm still using Keeper right now is because they were misleading when it came time for their mandatory subscription renewal notification to be sent.

Best Password Manager Ever. I switched from using RoboForm for many years to Keeper just a few months ago. I must say it is much easier to make changes to all my passwords and sensitive personal information from anywhere, whether I’m on a desktop or mobile device. I especially like the share feature that is in the family version of the app because it let’s me share important login information with my wife so she access key information in an emergency or when I’m not available. And it is so easy and intuitive to use. The only thing wish for in this app is that it would automatically open with drop-down menus in the desktop browser the way that RoboForm did. I don’t like having to enter a Master Password every time I start the browser and click on the Keeper icon. There should be a way for the user to turn on and off the Master Password requirement as needed when working with the desktop app. Other than that Keeper got right overall, so I give it 4 stars.

Appropriately named. I am not one to write reviews, as I believe who would care about one review when the majority of us who purchase applications from the App Store look at trends of total 5's and 4's versus 1's and 2's when deciding on an app. Well, the Keeper has me impressed. Both the design and function are just what they need to be. Not too heavy with bloated features you will never use, along with tight coding, a clean user interface and reasonable pricing for what you get. All of those attributes make for the last and I believe the most securepassword and account application program I will ever buy. Great job Keeper team, you have contributed something that will keep many from having their passwords along with their identities stolen and encryption that will surely frustrate many black hat hackers. Thank you

Keeper is outstanding. I’ve tried several password vaults and Keeper is head and shoulders above them. Not only does it store and retrieve encrypted 20-character random passwords and user ids but it retrieves them and applies them to the login page according to the web site you are viewing. For me, the best part of Keeper is it’s family plan. It is possible to share my passwords with my wife and child. In this manner, they get to use passwords that I’ve given them permission to, or create their own and we’ll never lose access to our data or be hacked because our passwords were too weak. Last, I use Keeper as a family resource in case I die. With a special Keeper feature, upon my death or disability, I can allow access to all my passwords and documents. I even store a copy of my will there. There is nothing on the market like Keeper - I give it five stars.

Stop asking me to purchase things!. You know, I really don’t ever leave reviews but I feel compelled to leave one here. I paid something like $15 for Keeper Unlimited and I really use Keeper on a weekly basis - probably every few days or so. It’s definitely a life saver however, I can never retrieve a single password without being told I need to purchase something or other to further protect me. I already paid $15, I just want a secure place to keep my passwords. I don’t need to click a cursory “Stay Unprotected” button to continue through and retrieve a password. It adds an additional step to an otherwise easy process. I already paid for this app otherwise I really would use another password keeper. I guess I’m sort of “pot committed” at this point. I would caution other people to use another password keeper however because of this app’s exceedingly annoying scheme of asking users to continue paying for different protection schemes every so often.

Keeper kinda Blows!. I got Keeper many years ago (probably near to when they first launched). It was cool, simple and free and exactly what I wanted. Over the years, it has become more complex and not so “free”. Every time I log on to retrieve one of my few (20ish) passwords, I am bombarded with in app purchase pop-ups asking me to upgrade to some BS service I don’t need (some cloud based back-up subscription) that is way to costly for the 20 or so passwords that I have. If I click “no” the app is timed almost exactly for an additional pop-up to “reappear” milliseconds later, when I attempt to select my chosen password, with the “purchase” button being “conveniently” located under my fingers path. (Good one Keeper makers! 😏) Moreover, many of the simple edit features, including deleting an entry, are unavailable unless you subscribe to their premium back-up service. In any event, there are many other “cool, simple and free” password management apps out there and I’ve had enough of Keeper and their BS “hard sell” in app pop-ups! So I’m done with them and leaving this review. It was nice for awhile Keeper, but you are no longer a “keeper” for me! Delete!!

Buyer Beware - May stop working without notice. This app presents a great way to manage your passwords, but with one notable exception. Your expiration date may be reset by keeper to a day in the past at any time and without any notice. Last week, my account had an expiration date in 2022. This morning, I woke up to find out that my expiration date has been moved to 2019. I contacted their technical support department, which was able to resolve the issue within 15 minutes, but was not able to explain why my expiration date suddenly moved to a time in the past. Fortunately I had a good Internet connection and was able to delete and reinstall the app on my phone, but if the Internet had not been readily available, I would’ve had no access to any of my accounts without having to reset each and every password. It’s also important to note that the app appears to have a major bug, in that it will not retain any new records that are created on a mobile device. You must use the web vault in order to create new records. If you are in an app, use keeper to create a new record, and save that record, it doesn’t actually save and you can’t even use it in the app in which you just created the record.

Starting to not trust it. The app keeps sending me notifications that like says that I should go back it up or my “free trial” is about to end. It got really annoying and first of all, I never knew about a free trial because it never told me about it when I first created my account. It always said I was unprotected when I said no to unlimited and keep asking me to buy it every time I go in the app. Since I also seen other reviews that explains how they lost their stuff, I started writing down my passwords instead of using Keeper. I must say I still use Keeper for it’s create a password function. Now on to the good parts of the app, it’s easy to use. It allows it to generate a random password. It copies it to your board when you press on your created password and disappears after while (same goes with your login) and I find that pretty neat. Of course if you really want to try this app, look at the reviews and decide for yourself. Nothing bad has happened to me yet but I don’t trust it. Take that to account. I gave this 4 stars because I still like the app but I find it untrustworthy and I really hate the constant advertising for their unlimited plan.

Spectacular Customer Service. What’s scarier than losing years work and 100’s of passwords? Just about nothing! I recently experienced a really convoluted issue and got a bit panicked. My Face ID no longer worked, I forgot my master ID, and the email I originally set up my account in was no longer active. Any one of these things would have been a huge issue and from experience (that most of us have had) on other applications - I really thought I was going to be out of luck. In chat I explained the issue and customer service immediately understood the issue and immediately walked me through a resolution step by step. Every step was simple, and every step flawlessly worked the first time. I was up and running on all my devices in a matter of minutes. I was totally impressed! Can’t say enough positive things about their customer service- get this.

No service at all. I have had password keeper for over 10 years, great app, made my life easier and I told all my friends how great the app was. In November 2021, I could open the app but the majority of my passwords were gone, I could access them all by logging in on the website. I realized that my account was linked to an email I no longer had access to. I reached out through email explaining what I needed help with and was told that they would send an email to the email on the account ( No longer active email which was included in the request for help). I then received an email stating that keeper was closing this complaint due to the email associated with the complaint was not in the system. I continued to request help, I found were I had been paying for 2 subscriptions for years and still no one could help I was able to download all my usernames and passwords into an excel spreadsheet. One membership cancelled March 22, 2022 and the second one cancelled April 3, 2022. Great app ZERO Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!!

A must have app.. A person needs so many passwords in today's fast moving society. Whether the app be for work, home, entertainment, social, shopping or for some other reason, Keeper can save your password and other information on your phone and computer using encryption to protect the data. Since a person most likely has their phone with them, it is the best choice for keeping these protected passwords, especially if you travel a lot. It's also easy to use. We recommend it to all our clients so when we work with them we can get more accomplished if we need them to log into one of their websites for data. It's also safer than keeping the passwords at home on a piece of paper or in the notes section of your phone. If by chance you do not have your phone, you can still access your data if you know the primary password from anyone's computer.

Review. I had a situation where I needed to transfer my keeper account on a new iPhone but the access to the account was activated by touchscreen identification. I have been a keeper customer for many years and had long forgotten my master password and secret personal identity word. Therefore I was unable to access my new account nor any of data!!! Disaster!!! My old phone was rapidly dying as well. I turned to keeper support for help. Over 7 days we tried many scenarios to work around but no luck. Finally succeeded!!! Relived and elated as the staff stood with me the whole time , answered all my questions promptly and advanced numerous possible work a rounds in until we prevailed. I cannot thank them for enough and highly recommend the product and their support staff. PS keeper is a pretty tough nut to crack. Terry from Tampa

Life Saver. I absolutely love this app. Originally I used the same password for just about everything so I could remember it. Now not only can I make unique and more secure passwords, I don’t have to remember them. Keeper also tells me strength of the password and makes it easier with all the new rules of lower case, upper case, a number and a symbol. Keeper can also automatically generate passwords. Keeper also alerts if a password has been breached so it can be immediately changed. The full version of Keeper allows for private storage of items that you would NOT want in your camera roll for example copies of driver’s license, passport etc. These photos can be saved in keeper without being accessible with other photos. This is also true of personal documents such as a copy of a car registration or paystubs. I have used Keeper for years and I recommend it to everyone that I know. I literally use it everyday.

Got stuck during the setting up the app. Downloaded the App. Tried to set it up. Entered the complex unique password which I use in my most sensitive cases (it was 9 characters long with upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters) — the app said I can’t proceed, the password must be minimum 10 characters long. Great! I change it to 10 characters long — now it shows that it must be at least 12 characters long…. Well, the hole reason I need the app like this to keep the record of my passwords on the sites and apps like this. I don’t need THIS app to force me to use unreasonable limitations like that, which also are inconsistent. I don’t want to get another app to remember password for this one, because I know every time I am forced to come up with the passwords that I forget next day. I want to use my passwords that I can remember. I hope developers are reading this user feedback and note that this enforcement is irrational. Would be very happy to change or delete my review when this issue is addressed. Very dissatisfied with practice like this.

Update is awful!!!! Keeper not recommended. I have been using Keeper for several years. I just received an update and, as a consequence lost all my data — at least on my iPhone. I had been accessing the app using Face ID but with the update it asked for my master password, which I did not remember. As a consequence I successfully reset my password but the app wouldn’t let me log in with it. I successfully reset it several times but the app never would recognize the new password —notwithstanding the fact that I successfully reset my password. Then after resetting it once again successfully, the app then informed me that all my data was deleted because I had tried unsuccessfully to log in too many times! I hope that I will be able to recover my data from another device such as my laptop but rest assured that as soon as I do I will be looking for anther password protection app. I cannot in good conscience recommend Keeper any longer because of what appears to be a major malfunction in its current upgrade.

Read this before you purchase!!!. I’ve been a customer (a paying customer, not the free version) of Keeper for 8 years. I had over 600 passwords in their app. I changed phones, cleared the old one out and shipped it off to later find out that Face ID didn’t work on the new phone first time when I opened Keeper. It needed the password, which I never used and was conveniently stored in the keeper app. I sent inquiry to customer service and they responded that if I didn’t have the master password and the 24 word phrase, I would have to delete the app and reinstall which would delete all of my data. I called them 10 times today over 8 hours and they never bothered to respond. Not only have I lost 600 passwords, I’ll have to file with my credit card company to cancel my subscription because I can’t even get in the app to do that. Customer service is deplorable to not even respond to a long term customer. If you are worried about losing your data, just know it can happen very easily and they aren’t going to help you. I’ll be filing with the BBB and every other entity to ensure everyone knows how bad their service is.

Use at your own risk. You will be held hostage to pay for a subscription!!. Original Review: With their latest revision, if you once had a paid subscription and then go back to a free subscription you are not able to delete a record. I've been in contact with technical support and their response was that I would need to go back to a paid subscription to be able to delete records!!!! Insane. If they fix this bug I'll adjust my rating. Update: following Keeper's suggestion, I contacted their technical support once again and described the problem once again. Unbelievably, here is their reply (Keeper has become a useless app unless I agree to pay for the subscription). STAY AWAY FROM KEEPER PASSWORD MANAGER! Use at your own risk!! "Our system shows that your account is in the free version. Please note that using the free version of Keeper can no longer add, delete and edit information however you can see all saved records that you have created during your free trial and paid subscription years."

11/10 would recommend. Only one small complaint, although it might not be on them. For some reason the app store doesn’t show when the app needs to be updated. Whenever the list pops up for apps that need to be updated keeper is never on that list. I have to look it up in the app store to check if an update is available. When I search for it, it always says open as if it is updated. Only after I click it and go to the info page does it give the option to update, when it’s available. This is different than every other app for some reason. Been like that for over a year, and it happened 4 -5 times. Although it has no effect on the quality of the app so not that big of a deal. Other than that great app. The customer service is OUTSTANDING. There must be someone monitoring emails 24/7. I had trouble figuring something out late late at night and got a response within an hour. Couple other times I had questions and had responses and answers within 1 - 8 hours. AND it was an actual person every time. That alone to me is worth keeping that app long term. App always works too never any glitches, freezes or bugs. The ratings speak for themselves, worth every penny

Total rip off!! These guys are thieves!!. I used this Keeper app for a few years for free, then decided to upgrade from free version bc I loved it so much. Then the next year they charged me $10 without my permission (if there was small print about recurring charges I don’t know how I missed it) so o was pretty upset. It’s seems like back then I tried contacting them and I was told they would not do that again. The very next year they did it again. Another $10. Once I got them to stop they still let me see my passwords without paying, I just couldn’t add any more. I used like that for a couple more years, then recently they completely blocked me from seeing ANY PASSWORDS I had put in there for years, UNLESS I pay again!! No way Jose!! Keep your app! I wouldn’t pay these guys another penny over the mere principle! I’ll just start over and go thru hell with resetting every password I put in there before I give them another dime!! Go somewhere else and buy a password app! Trust me, these developers are up to no good where your money’s concerned

Liars and Thieves. I have been a customer for 4 years but when it came time to renew the sales person lied to me and told me I needed to buy a storage plan for $500 but come to find out I only used 1% of the normal plan. Then I spent another $1000 on top of that for what I thought was a 2 year plan. Come to find out the sales person only put me down for 1 year. This company has high pressure sales people that lie and only care about the sale. They lured me in and waited till I heavily relied on the service and then over charged big time leaving me at their mercy. I am a small business with only 9 employees and yet they ripped me off. This is not free or even low cost. My cost was $1500 for 1 year. Don’t let them get you! This kind of software is all about trust but after they know you can’t operate without them, they then take advantage of you. I should have known that when a company has such turn over and you find out that no employees there last more than a month that something is wrong. So if you are thinking about using this service be prepared to send $1500 per year or else lose all your info. Run! Do not buy. Also, there is nothing special about this service.

Excellent. A year ago I would have said the customer support leaves much to be desired, but it has improved significantly in the interim. I do have to say, though, that there never was a problem of badly trained or unhelpful customer service people. Answers and problem solving were always delivered with clarity and confidence. The problem was more a matter of the interface, and there still is room for some technical fixes there. For instance, you may find yourself in a chat format but have trouble finding again it if you leave it for a second. Back and forth via email works fairly good, but delays inherent in that can be a little unnerving. I once waited for an email reply, only to chance upon the earlier chat screen, where the rep was replying to me! I generally prefer telephone support, it’s more reassuring I find, but I’m adjusting to this. And like I said, the reps are informed and competent. The app itself has been a life-saver, and it functions well. Problems have cropped up once or twice after updates, but I am suspecting that’s due to apparently limitations of the Safari browser.

Great App., but a little too pricey!!!. I am enjoying peace mind. This app really provides a good secure service , if you are like me, and the majority of your purchasing and socializing require security. I think it’s overpriced for what they offer as standard, a way OP, if you add the data features listed below. Otherwise, this app has done a great job helping me to securely store password and website info. using a multi-level password encrypted platform. This part of the service is very good; just overpriced. I would have given this app. 5-stars, however, I am a little disappointed that you have to pay additional fees in order to access the data (documents, video, photo) feature of the app. I feel these features should be standard otherwise all you are paying for is password security. It’s still a great app. but they are just a little too money hungry. As soon as it’s time to renew my membership I will be looking for an app that will promise this type of security but will include “DATA (media-video & photo, docs, file, & folder) ENCRYPTION” as standard features. Now, that type of security would be worth the value.

I really appreciate this app. I’ve never had any problems with this app until I bought a new device, an iPad, and face recognition didn’t work on it. Everything was set up to do so, but the screen would just flash and not go anywhere. I contacted Keeper support and they gave me a solution that worked immediately. I really appreciate the timely response and the helpful tech person. And I really like how you can just open the app with a face recognition, tap on your password to copy, and then go to the website you are opening and paste. It’s so quick and easy, and I really like having all these passwords, my library card number, my credit card numbers, pin numbers, and everything all in one place on my phone that I have with me at all times. The last password app I had just suddenly stopped opening one day, and I couldn’t find a contact for the company until one day I found out they were no longer in business. I had suddenly lost all access to all my passwords. That was a horrible experience, and I hope that never happens again. But I have a feeling this company will not treat us that way.

Great app until it doesn’t work. I rely on this app a lot, maybe too much. I use it to store ALL my passwords and I like the fact that I can organize into folders. I’ve got folders for banking, travel, shopping, medical, and more. My only concern was the fact that recently the app wasn’t working, it wouldn’t open so I couldn’t retrieve any of my user ids or passwords. I tried all sorts of resets with the phone and the app but nothing worked. I couldn’t reach anyone that actually helped for about 3 or 4 days. They had to reset my account on their end and they provided no explanation as to what happened. I was very concerned that I was going to lose everything and start all over resetting passwords everywhere; it was a nightmare. When I finally did get someone to reset my account they were non-apologetic and very nonchalant, I did not feel comfortable that my information was safe and secure or that this wouldn’t happen again. Again, they did not provide an explanation for why this may have happened and this is a service (app) that I pay for annually. And, I e been a customer for a few years. Anyway, I am sticking with them for now, but, I’ll be looking for something else.

Great app, total package & lifesaver!. I’ve been using Keeper for years and it only gets better with time. I started with the free version (one device) and quickly bought the Unlimited plan. The app is easy to use online, through the Google Chrome plug-in, iPhone app and now with iOS 12, I no longer need to use Apple Keychain to save any passwords. With the update, it allows me to sign into sites and apps using my Keeper app. This truly is a one-stop-shop, as it allows me to organize my passwords for work, personal, family, etc into their own folders (as I like to do), I can save important documents and images and also search across the app so that I don’t have to remember which folder items are stored in. I do like to keep my items stored in folders so that I can easily see websites or apps that I am using for work vs personal, this allows me to determine sites/apps that I might want to unsubscribe from or update passwords regularly. I recommend this app to family, friends, colleagues and clients.

2FA and User Interface Anomalies. I purchased Keeper because of its vault security and ability to span that secure vault onto my three devices, MacBook Pro (2014), iPad2 and iPhone7. The secure vault is available across devices, however, in one iPad and two iPhone instances, two-factor authentication does not work. On the Mac, several 2FA options are available which may function on other devices, but not the Mac. Also, the user interfaces are terribly inconsistent across devices. It appears that most of the product work went into the iPhone and less into the MacBook Pro and iPad. On all devices, there is no indication that the addon Breachwatch is executing, nor is there any explanation how you are notified when a breach occurs. On the Mac, if the vault uses folders, they do not appear in the autofill window; and the autofill records are not in the sorted order organized in the vault window, forcing an autofill search. On the Mac, after drilling downward in Settings, reversing the traversal upwards does not always show all the windows that were shown in the downward path. On the Mac, when saving a Chat session, there is no validation of the send-to email address, and the session can be lost. Keeper's Chat analysts were helpful but Support’s responses to emails concerning the above issues were mostly without replies.

Cost is a hard pill to swallow, but the app is solid. I’ve been using the app for years almost since the beginning and way before they could afford advertising billboards all over the Southern California. The app does work VERY well and is very easy to use. Anyone could figure it out. I highly recommend it so please know if your reading this my complaint is how expensive it has become. With that being said each passing year I feel like the price is practically doubling and I’m using none of the new added features. Not that I don’t want to, but I don’t need them. As the price keeps going up each year, free and close to free apps that do similar things are hot on the tail. It seems like the app is trending towards company employee solutions and moving away from the regular individual user who doesn’t want to use Apple passwords. That’s fine if the business model is changing, but please consider having a “going back in time” stripped down KISS password app with just the user name and password only and I’d be happy. Like most all companies everywhere we all are entering treacherous times and trimming the fat is now necessary.

Protect your digital life!. I have been using Password Keeper for a very long time, at least 15+ years. I first learned of it as an app on my Blackberry phone. Since then, I rely on it to keep my multiple passwords protected. I have at least 50 passwords stored, probably closer to 100. I have maintained multiple folders over the years - for my personal passwords, my work information, my daughter’s (until she graduated college and took over her own life), my elderly parents while I was their caregiver. I’ve never, ever had a problem and I access the app several times a week. I mostly access from my phone but keep it available on my iPad and laptop also. I highly recommend this app/software to organize and protect your digital life. And I haven’t even mentioned how ridiculously affordable it is! It has increased very little in cost over my many years of use. I intend to use it forever. In all my years, I’ve only needed to contact customer service twice. Both times they were efficient, friendly, and resolved my questions perfectly. Subscribe and never jot your passwords on a post-it-note again.

Problems with Keeper security. I’d like to say that I had trouble with my tablet today with Keith through security it was very frustrating very confusing to me I did try their online help which was not too helpful but once I got a hold of an operator or emailed them my situation they were probably emailed me back and I got to say fantastic customer service in this day and age it’s extremely rare to find any good customer service let alone somebody can explain something easily, not only did keeper repAssist me they also assist me in plain English and which that I can understand and I was able to finish my task as I need to chill I think you very much keeperFor the excellent customer service I will definitely recommend this to somebody else I am old school customer service means a lot to me this day and age customer service means nothing to people and they show exactly as that as a company but this company did the opposite they actually went back 50 years and gave me the most wonderful customer service I’ve ever had in many many years thank you very much for your support

A Fantastic App. I have used Keeper for the past 7years and could not cope without it. It is an excellent product and the Customer Service is second to none. Prompt response to emails, often within the hour. I thoroughly recommend this app to everyone. Jillean Letherbarrow.

Premium or nothing. I’ve been using the free version of Keeper since 2015 and it’s been a great application for sorting and accessing my credentials. The UI is clean and it’s easy to navigate. However, in the last 12 months or so I’ve been bombarded with ads to switch to Premium and I can no longer sort my entries into folders, etc. It has become a mess that is hard to sort and between the bombardment of ads and the inability to sort my passwords into categories, I will likely move to a different application to secure my passwords. Unless you’re willing to pay for Premium, prepare to be annoyed with pop ups every time you open the app.

Have used this app for 4 years with no issue until now. Have been a paying customer for 4 years and have had no issues until now. I keep getting an error message saying “an error has occurred, check for updates in the App Store”. I can’t see any uni updates in the App Store. Can’t believe I just paid $50 to renew to get this. If you’re reading this; I would not recommend you pay for this app, as you might be unable to access your data.

Holds your data hostage and forces you to pay. The model for updates for this app have been to add a lot of fancy and sometimes unnecessary features, then start locking them behind a paywall. The most recent update now only allows new password entries and even editing old password entries are locked behind a subscription. It’s literally no different from a hacker taking your data and forcing you to pay them to get proper access back. At the very least, you can still at least read the data (for now?) Its going to be painful and long process moving everything else manually to another platform, but that’s where we’re at. I guess it’s on me, it was easy to see Keeper was moving more and more in this direction for the past couple of years so I should have dealt with it sooner, but it’s just disappointing that they would take the most basic functionality of adding and editing passwords to a password manager (lol) and lock it behind an expensive subscription. This is NOT a free app. You download it for free, start using it, then get trapped by predatory money extraction practices. At best it’s false advertising; at worst it’s on par with a drug dealer giving you your first bump of coke for free. Gotta feed those shareholder / C suite owner pockets though I guess.

Nagging nag nag fk nag. It works ok but as a free user it nags constantly to upgrade. Yes yes we know we are “unprotected” but really, some users just want to use it for free, under 50 passwords, the free option. So please turn the constant nag off. Does it really need a pop up every time it’s opened and a warning banner and a +1 on the account button at the bottom of the screen? Think realistic. If a user reads your warning message about being unprotected once and ticks the “I understand the risks” box shouldn’t that be enough. Want to use the free version? Expect to be nagged. Constantly.

excellent app. I would be lost without this app. So many passwords these days and as you get older( like me) remembering them all becomes harder. This app is very easy to use and the support team is absolutely amazing. Very prompt replies and extremely helpful people. Thoroughly recommend it

Best Ever App. I was introduced to Keeper Security a few years ago by a friend and I use it every day. Can’t imagine what I’d do if I didn’t have it - no one can ever remember all their different passwords and other important Information. I recently had a couple of technical questions and communicated via email to Keeper’s support team. Not sure if I should be mentioning her name, so I won’t, but let’s say her name starts with “F”. F was fantastic - professional, friendly and communicated swiftly….and my queries were answered and I’m one happy customer! Keep up the good work Keeper!

Don’t get caught out!. App works fine. Basic concept using a master password or finger print ID to store passwords. However, if you choose to pay for their vault be aware that if you don’t renew your overpriced subscription your account is disabled and you won’t be able to access your passwords. Very vague instructions for disabling the auto renew which I simply cannot find. I had to pay to get some valuable passwords and will now delete the app. Not worth the money!!!

This is a Keeper. I have been relying on Keeper for several years. It has all of my passwords and security answers so that I can access them at anytime. This week I re-subscribed and thought to update my email address 😞 I made a right mess of it. Couldn’t access the app. I contacted Keeper Security online and am very thankful to Dann for helping me restore my files. It is great to know that there IS someone behind the app that is able to help you. Many Thanks 😊

Brilliant!. I have had the paid Keeper subscription for 6 months now and have loved every minute of it! I feel like I have half my brain back.. not having to remember all these passwords! Keeper is continually updating their functions and keep you constantly informed. I would definitely recommend and will continue to use.

Keeper. I love this app, with so many passwords to remember on a daily basis I would struggle to survive without it. Very easy to use and has been super reliable over the 6 or so years that I have had it. 100% recommend.

Cannot delete passwords. From one day to another, this app which was free for years, no longer accepts to delete or edit passwords without having to pay a subscription worth ~$60. I hope that Apple intervene in this situation as I demand to be able to delete my passwords and delete this app from my mobile. I no longer trust this app. Also, agree with other reviews stating that it is similar to a hacking where you need to pay a ransom.

App got worse suddenly. When I’m on Safari and click on “Passwords”, the Keeper app opens and closes without fetching the password. Sometimes it doesn’t list a password I need even though I search for it. I have to leave Safari, open Keeper and search and copy the password to the clipboard. Please, fix this.

Free vs. Paid. I’ve been using the free version of Keeper for many years and have loved it. I needed to restore settings on my iPhone for a number of reasons which resulted in me being locked out of my keeper account and not being able to (nowadays) change my master password. Although I believe in paying and supporting application developers for their efforts, as the consumer I DID NOT want to have my data backed up on a server in Lord knows where which I why I decided not to pay $47 annually. I would have been happy to pay a different amount to somehow back up my data if needed but the only option keeper provides is pay for full back up or nothing pretty much which as time as gone by I personally believe is unethical given they do not provide other options. If I can’t retrieve my data back now (which I doubt I can) why would I bother paying for a back up now? I can’t even access my account inside Keeper to change my mind. I would avoid this app unless you are happy with paying $47 which is what the developers will “demand”

Not great. I had a lot of trouble with this app and customer support. I purchased the family subscription but didn’t get it then I couldn’t import my passwords from my old manager app so had to face putting them in manually. (no thanks). Customer support were no help and kept just sending me the same instructions. Clearly you don’t get a refund from these people either when your not happy with their product. Take a risk if you like.

Boomer-ang. It gives me peace of mind knowing my info is secure in one place and I only need to remember one password but it’s also had facial recognition for quite sometime which is even better. It used to be free and now it’s quite expensive particularly in $AUD. It’s convenient and I haven’t looked for a cheaper option yet.

Great Support. Recently had an issue with two factor authentication blocking the app Keeper support were available within minutes to go through identity verification process and sort the problem Absolutely first class support

Best app. Keeper is without doubt the best app on my iPhone. I don't know how I ever lived without it. Frequent travel is a breeze as my phone is always with me and no matter what PIN number is required or any multitude of information required, I have it at my fingertips. How often do you struggle to come up with a new PIN number? No worries with Keeper, simply click on the dice and Keeper comes up with a random PIN that no one will ever guess. The ability to attach photos or other documents is a feature I use i.e. passport and visa photos. How good would that be if ever my passport is lost! The more I use Keeper, the more I love it! Seriously this is the app that no one should be without!

Great integration. As a long term user, the functionality of Keeper has been vastly improved by the integration of the app into iOS for in-browser and app completion of passwords. I get peace of mind that I can now run complex independent passwords across a multitude of sites and apps with quick and easy security form completion, I now simply use my fingerprint (iPhone 7). My online life is now quicker, more convenient and more secure.

Doesn’t work with Edge Browser. First of all, 2FA auto fill doesn’t work at all even with Safari. Also, with Edge browser, there is no autofill function appearing on most of the time. When it does appear it keeps asking my master password. I have multiple accounts on one website and Keeper insists on logging on with one single account, it doesn’t let me pick another account. Horrible app, considering how good it is on Windows version, it’s a shame really. I am planning all business accounts to switch to another provider. Useless if I cannot use this on my ipad.

Keeper is a “keeper”. I wouldn’t change Keeper for any other product. Some friends & family have tried to convince me that I should use the app they are using but I am very happy to stay where I am. Keeper is easy to use, stores all my passwords safely & their support team are very helpful!!

Easy to use, practical and safe. I have been using Keeper for years now - since the first version! I love it and use it to store all sorts of important information and passwords for myself family and work. I can now change passwords regularly and not worry about not remembering! And for seldom used passwords - it is a life saver. Thank you Keeper

Seems kind of clunky.. The auto fill feature doesn’t seem to find the logins I’m looking at in the keeper login list. I have to copy and paste them into the login box. Even searching them in keeper won’t bring them up, yet I can just scroll down the list in keeper and see the required login. So things aren’t smooth nor effective yet. I wish it worked like the rave reviews online.

Very appreciative of Keeper. Very good and great user friendly Service that does everything that i need and keeps getting better and better with updates and improvements.

A perfect and essential app. Have used this app for over ten years and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Works perfectly and integrates into iPhone’s safari so your passwords are always available and secure. Get it and you’ll regret that you didn’t have it earlier.

Excellent Support!. I’ve had Keeper for some time and loved it. I got a new iPhone and when converting over I had issues. I emailed support who were extremely quick to respond and gave step by step instructions to rectify the problem. 10/10 for support!

Be aware after limit reached you are forced to pay. I have been using it as storing passwords and using free version till I hit free limit. I wasn’t aware of that as I was not using any cloud storage, thought it had unlimited capacity but suddenly start getting limit reached message. All right I thought I will not add any more records but now I can not edit my existing password as well neither there is an option to export data. Basically developer setup a trap and waited till I being caught in it. Be aware of these traps guys.

Support. As users with very limited computer expertise, we got into some difficulty. The support team at Keeper could not have done more to assist. They worked with us over 3 days to help us restore our information . They were courteous, knowledgeable and quite frankly I don’t know what we would have done without them. They have our sincere gratitude. We would give them 6 stars if we could Don and Rob McK

Sneaky (and unlawful) auto-renewals. There is nothing to indicate that the annual subscription is an automatic renewal subscription. This is deliberately hidden in the T&Cs. From what I have read, this breaches most laws in the US. For example in California: "The law requires the clear and conspicuous display of service terms before purchase agreements are fulfilled; affirmative consent from consumers before any credit card charges are made; acknowledgment that includes the automatic renewal or continuous service offer terms, cancellation policy, and information regarding how to cancel in a manner that is capable of being retained by the consumer; that businesses making automatic withdrawals provide a toll-free phone number for consumers; and more."

Was good. Got worse over time with so-called improvements. I have used Keeper for over a decade. In the guise of improving it they have made it worse. If you use it on a PC you used to be able to minimise it so it went back to the Task Bar. No longer! First, unlike every other PC program they have eliminated the “__” minimise symbol in the top right and put their own minimise symbol further down. Second, they have set it so instead of going to the Task Bar where it’s invisible it just minimises to a small pop up. You can only get rid of it by logging out of the App! Third, at various times I find myself with a PC screen where there is no way to do anything to close or minimise it other than to use the End Task program. Frustrating beyond belief.

Keeper Support. Has a problem with two accounts with one not used. Payment by me was directed to the redundant account and I could not access my records. The help and persistence of Keeper Support resolved payment issues and access issue via emails was excellent. It’s good to see Keeper staff support their app and users.

My Life Line. Without keeper life would be unmanageable for me. As soon as I get to remember a password I have to change it so with our keeper I would be lost. Love the fact that you can pull it up on any device and it is always in my pocket. Thanks Keeper

Good app but don’t like the negative marketing. I like this app a lot and use it all the time and pay a yearly subscription, which I think is worth it. What I don’t like is when it constantly offers the breach watch upgrade and you have 2 options - one is to accept it and the other is ‘stay unprotected’. This is really lame and really old school marketing. This just makes me not want to upgrade - EVER. It would be better to offer whatever in a POSITIVE way not a threatening one. Seriously dumb and annoying and not really current. Makes me think whoever is running marketing is like 107 and thinks women should wear skirts.

A life saving app.. Couldn’t live without this app. I use it every day. These days you need so many passwords - 6, 8, 10, lower case, uppercase, symbols & #’s How on earth are you supposed to remember them all. No need to try & remember 100’s of different passwords. I recommend this app to all who will listen. Support team was very efficient in solving my small issue.

Great Support. I’ve been using this App for a few years and found it indispensable. Works so well. Recently decided to go for the Unlimited version which was in special and due to my change of email address ended up in all sorts of trouble. The Keeper support team were an immense help, even in spite of time zone impediments they kept in touch with swift responses and good information to get me back on track. Excellent service, a good product backed by excellent service.

Excellent and speedy response. The speedy response over 6 emails within 3 days with my subscription and family sharing queries was excellent. I highly recommend KEEPER for anybody wanting full internet/device security and follow up service. Well done Keeper

Keeper Security. I’ve had this for years and I’m so dependent on it, so imagine my horror when I got locked out of it. It didn’t take long to track down a Keeper support person. One very prompt response later with advice it was easy to follow and I was back in business. Couldn’t manage without it.

Wouldn’t be without it. This app is a must have in today’s tech society. What’s more secure than having 16 plus characters, randomly generated passwords for all your online access. Money well spent. Oh and don’t forget it’s easy to recover passwords if you loose your phone.

Great service - problems solved. I changed my email address and wanted to update this in Keeper and had another issue with data not appearing or updating on one of my devices. On both occasions I used the Keeper Help feature found under Account to get assistance. Acknowledgement of my message was immediate then communication continued from there. Sometimes there was a delay in response but that was acceptable and often convenient - I live on the other side of the world. A great benefit was that I dealt with the same person each time until the matter was resolved. I have used Keeper for five years and have looked at other similar Apps but so far, have not found a better one.

Overpriced. Don’t bother. It is only a matter of time before passkeys become more widespread, and this overpriced app will become obsolete. In the meantime (and even if I am wrong about passkeys) there are numerous other password manager apps out there for you to choose from - none of which are as expensive as this one. This app does nothing special, you can get this same functionality across the App Store. This app is nothing but a flashy UI asking you to pay $50 a month for a service that is free elsewhere.

Awesome app. I manage a motel and have a hubby and 5 kids who all expect me to know all their information when they need it. I have used heaps of apps but KEEPER is by far the best password/file management app that I’ve tried. Highly recommended. Well done Keeper security team, I’d be constantly resetting passwords if it wasn’t for this app and would be lost with trout it.

Most important app. I’ve been using keeper for a few years now and I would be completely lost without it. On the odd occasion when I forget to register new password, it provides a painful reminder of just how much I need this app. I’ve become the password keeper for my whole family.

Free version ends in 30 days. You can access all features during the first 30 days but after that you will need to pay even though it’s a small amount to keep the full access. The free version has quite limited features and I find them inconvenient

Issue with forgotten password.. I had forgotten my password a tech person named Pio, & l couldn’t access my account, helped me resolved my issue, it did take a couple of days, but ultimately it was fixed & now it’s smooth sailing again!

Excellent product Excellent service. I have been using Keeper now since 2012 and have recommended it to many I had an issue not caused by Keeper but requires a swift response They were onto immediately and sorted it out very professionally I recommend this product

Thank you Keeper. I have had Keeper to secure my passwords for several years, whenever I have any reason to contact them, I just email and they respond immediately, unlike other internet services. They are always happy to oblige when I have a need, I am extremely happy with Keeper and absolutely recommend this company. Connie Cunningham 🇦🇺

Makes things so much easier. So happy to have all my passwords secure and in one place. You can change way the you view them, in lists, folders, alphabetical or by date. Love that you can add additional information and that you can customise fields. This really is amazing and I highly recommend it.

Bad UX & impossible to cancel subscription. I cannot say how many times the chrome extension has asked me to log in, when I have set a preference to not need to do so on a regular basis. The UX of the extension and the vault is awful, and I cannot understand why I have to specify which country I’m from when logging on. The amount of friction and frustration I have experienced from this service is astounding given the simplicity of the value proposition. I’ve just tried to cancel my subscription today but it appears there is no way to do that from the iOS app or desktop. Shocking. Friends and family will be told not to use this product.

Best App. Extremely useful and easy to enter data. Recent experience with Tech Support was excellent. Quick response and problem solved within 30 minutes.

Used to be free. I’ve been using (and loving) this app for around 10 years now until recently when it’s locked me out and asking me to pay $47 a year to access my hundreds of stored passwords! I can’t access it at all to retrieve and make copies of all my data. To go from free to nearly $50 a year is ludicrous and I’m extremely frustrated that ALL my data is lost forever. Andy, I did email you weeks ago and zero response. It appears you post the suggestion to email you to look like you at doing something but don’t actually do a thing. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this app and in fact, would warn people off it.

How to update credit card info. What is the point of having a chat line if you cannot ask a question. I’ve sent a request to support to open a ticket. AllI want to know is how to update my credit card info so you can continue to charge me without any problems. It is impossible to do with your current system.

Keeper. Conned into paying for the app. Still unable to organize my files. I have sent a few requests for assistance and have received no support.

Greed ruining one more app. Just 10 for free users? I get not syncing between OS but limiting to 10 passwords just nasty

Very upsetting. I have used Keeper for many, many years and was very happy with it. Suddenly password adding or editing possibility was removed and that rendered the app virtually useless, unless you pay. I do not think that is fair and honest to long term users. Disgrace

Held my passwords hostage for $40. After using this app for years, and on a number of devices for free, I’ve restored my phone to factory settings, logged in and cannot access the passwords without paying $40 to get a back up. Not cool

REASON(s) why you should buy Password Keeper. I have been using password keeper for many years. It’s facial recognition and 2FA is second to none, with a very high rate of encryption. Although there is cost for a single or family users, it’s worth every penny! Upon accessing the app, its user friendly interface will make you very happy, also if you forget something your looking for, using the search feature will locate the item using a key word. Open access to bank accounts or programs with the password fill in feature works seamlessly. The ability to add photos or documents is excellent capability within the app. More importantly this app bleeds security & user friendly features! There customer service is second to none, although the app lacks a 1-800 number for the personal touch to issues or guidance will always be a winner with additional customer service! Keep-up the good work! Thank-you for your excellent app.

Find something else, you’ll be forced to upgrade and pay.. Not able to add any new “records” and if you need to update a password because you changed it, you can’t without getting the pop up and having to upgrade and pay $46.99.

Unreasonably Greedy. I have used the free version of this app for about 4 years. There are many pop-ups and other annoying ways they attempt to persuade you to pay the rather large yearly subscription fee. I looked past these annoyances over these years until I recently needed to delete a few records and discovered this is a paid “feature”!? UNBELIEVABLE! I contacted Support who did me the “one time courtesy” of allowing me to delete records for 2 days, but I was told this “courtesy” would not be available in the future and I would need to purchase a full year subscription if I should need to delete any further records. I will be looking for a different app that does not attempt to annoy their customers into submission and charge for the basic functionality of removing records. Could be a great app, but it seems the developers have become too greedy, unfortunately.

I don’t happy. I canceled my subscription but unfortunately Everyday I am receiving an email from them And every day they try to get money from my account Please be careful I am not trusting them

Spammers. I’ve unsubscribed two or three times, but I’m still getting marketing emails from these people. Beware.

Amazing!. This app allows you to not only store all of your usernames and passwords, but you can attach the website links with that info as well! I highly recommend this app!

Protector and organizer. I really appreciate Keeper as it allows me to organize and consolidate old and new passwords as well as helping me to fix weak passwords, among other things.

Works, but ….. Once you subscribe to Keeper, you do not get full access to the program. You have to subscribe to the extra features. You can not set up emergency access with other contacts so that they can gain access to your accounts and passwords should something happen to you, unless they are a Keeper user as well. The program works fine, but as soon as my subscription expires, I think I’ll just go to BitWarden.

Impossible to Delete Account. You can’t delete your account or the store passwords unless you pay for a subscription. Try to contact support to delete account? No luck, need to pay for a subscription first. That’s a pretty shady business model if you ask me and I wish I didn’t use the free trial.

Amazing storage secure access. I highly recommend this product easy to use navigate and create strong passwords and sensitive information. A must get

Bad and greedy. Downloaded to try it out, got spammed with “give us money or you won’t be protected” - negative start to a new app to try. Would not recommend it as money seems more important to them.

False sense of trust with this company. Beware.. Keeper gradually forces you away from the free app to purchase their paid service. They do this by locking your app forcing it to “self destruct” after 5 attempts (of entering THE CORRECT credentials). Now several passwords are lost. Bad business when you hurt your customers to force them to pay you for an advertised free app.

Reliable and safe. Great App to organize and store passwords.

Problème résolu. J’ai reçu l’aide de « Pio » pour résoudre mon problème. J’ai appliqué les instructions à la lettre et maintenant tout fonctionne bien. Merci pour le support rapide de l’équipe technique

Forced subscription service. Been using this app for years and suddenly today we can’t edit any previous records. Last update seems to have removed the ability to edit records unless you subscribe. It’s called a bait and switch. No a fair practise. Do NOT use keeper.

Beware Ransom Ware. Have used for a few years. Originally advertised as free with in app purchases, now cannot edit or delete passwords unless I pay the subscription fee - ~$47/yr. Passwords being held ransom by developers. Warning should be provided in app stores. Do not use!!!

You have to pay to edit now. Last week you can go into your passwords and edit or update it. Which is something that is done frequently. Now you have to pay $47 per year to do this. There are lots of better apps that do not charge for this.

Application payante. L application ne permet pas d enregistrer les mot de passe sans un forfais annuel

Yearly payments. Very disappointed that I have to pay yearly for this application when it should be a one time payment. Looking for another app as this was not I thought I purchased.

Most Helpful & Incredible Customer Follow-Up. I needed to revise and change an old email address In the system. I kept running in circles with failed attempts. I received “Kevin” in technical supports. Kevin,s response time was incredible corresponding via email with proposed suggested solutions to my issue. This was finally resolved (2023-02-17) with a personal phone call. Kevin was so patient and supportive. I think we resolved the issue. What was best was, if you have further issues call me again. Now that is greatest in customer service Thanks Kevin Wayne

Subscription fee. I’ve been using this app for years for free, allowed to change records without a problem….but now like so many apps, Keeper is now charges a crazy yearly fee, this is totally frustrating.

Clunky user interface. A very counter-intuitive user interface for editing records. When I try to delete or edit records it fails to do so and just get a busy icon but records remain exactly as they were on both iPhone and iPad versions. After multiple attempts to edit and delete records I’ve finally had enough, it shouldn’t be difficult

Helpful and safe. Great app, good support if you need it. Definitely recommend.

Password Keeper.

Keeper. Great. App. Great app. Works well. I had a glitch with one device and received very prompt and clear instructions that solved the issue.

Constant Spam emails. I didn’t opt in for your insane number of emails. So you’re reported as spam and phishing to google, and now blocker. Funny thing is, I don’t use your stupid app.

Everything I need from a password manager. Finally the latest update with support for Passkeys in iOS brings the last feature I really needed from a password manager. Keeper is now fully multi-platform and I can use it on any device with every login method imaginable.

Do not recommend. I have used this app for years. After I paid my yearly subscription this time the app on my phone just keeps saying “syncing” and will not let me in to get any passwords. I’ve emailed support 3 times with no response. I will be finding a new app and deleting this one. I sure wish they would refund my money since I haven’t been able to use their app since payment was made.

Great Support 2. I’m normally a PC person and therefore struggle a little when it comes to IOS. Clairece, of Keeper Support, was a wizard at helping me find how to setup Keeper Fill quickly. Thanks!

Best password storage app EVER!!!. I have had the Password Keeper app for many years. Used the free version for years and then opted to move to the paid version (only about $40.00 a year). Best $40.00 I’ve ever spent. The app houses every single password I have for the many things in life that require them. Having them safe in one place makes life so easy! I recently had to reach out to them to help me trouble shoot a change I wanted to make and they emailed back and forth to me very promptly. They even called me on the phone when I was a little hesitant to “reset” the keeper app when I changed my email address. Ting Ting, the password keeper employee who contacted me, was professionally and very reassuring. My issue was resolved so smoothly. Can’t recommend this app and it’s many features and supports enough.

Where would I be without it - lost!!!. Couldn't live without it!!!

I feel like this was a bait and switch.. No where in the description did this say it was a free trial. Once I downloaded and started to enter passwords did I check the account and it indicates that my trial period expires in a month. I purposely did not select the pay version. I have no idea what I’m getting for the free trial and if it will automatically lock me out after that month. Not worth the headache to find out.

Bad app. App is terrible

Request time out. That’s the only thing the app is doing for me

Uses extortion to get you to renew. Do not recommend. They held my passwords hostage

No Master Password Recovery. They should probably tell people that password recovery for your account is unavailable on the free version… deletes all your information if you get the password wrong 5 times and no way to reset the password/account.

THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE. Will not be renewing. What a waste of money - it doesn’t do anything more than the free apps do, it added unnecessary complexity to my pw management and didn’t have the features I needed, and didn’t sync passwords across devices correctly (my mobile and desktop experience had different passwords and accounts). I wish the offered refunds but they don’t.

Bad Feeling. This app seems to work harder on marketing then security factors. Reminds me of Norton. Pushing to upgrade constantly. I have a feeling whatever investment group that owns this will keep pushing the upswells and let security lax, like LastPass did.

Increased fees. Too expensive especially since it was free when I first signed up.

Subscription. This was a decent app. but then they forced you to buy the subscription if you have more than 10 passwords.

Locked out without subscription. After using the free app for years I can no longer edit or add any passwords now. They’ve locked it to a subscription.

App Failed. 5+ year customer. Multi platform (iPhone -> PC) synch to web vault failed outright. App quit updating web vault without any flags or warnings. Will not auto or manually update web vault. Contacted support. Communications from Keeper were unclear at best. Every single communication from Keeper required a carefully structured response question from me to have them simply answer my questions clearly. In the end: app failed, sorry for your frustration. The Fix: You must manually update your more current iPhone passwords to web vault. Initiated divorce and told them to enjoy the $500+ I’d donated to them over the years for an app that suffered a core failure in its functionality. CORE FEATURE FAILURE! Not merely a frustrating inconvenience. An utter, uncompensated failure. Adios.

Wont sync. Suddenly decided to stop syncing, saying its not connected to the internet. Cant view my passwords or accounts, it worked so well before…. What happened? Very disapointed

Used to be free for basic service. Well, after using the free version for years, that latest update has locked the program from editing or saving new passwords. It used to have a pay version with more features and a basic free version. Thanks for the warning Keeper team! Not cool.

Pop-Ups ads are too much. Every single time you open the app, there’s a pop up ad… I hate this app

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Beware!. I’ve used the Free version of this App for about year. I didn’t use it a lot, but over time I began to trust it and rely on it more. Until apparently hit too many passwords or my year time expired. I’m not which triggered them to hold my account hostage. After forcing me to Re-log in and change my password. (Which I did). It wouldn’t accept my new password until AFTER it erased all my data. When I finally am able to log on using my new password it tells me I can’t get my data back unless I pay the annual membership fee of $30. I call BuLLS*1t! That is no way to gain my trust in your App. Out of desperation to get my valuable passwords back, I paid the $30 and immediately figured out a better way to store them. I will be canceling this App right now and making sure they don’t automatically charge me the annual fee next year. Don’t use this App. There are many better and cheaper ways to save your passwords!!!

Amazing Customer Support. I have been a customer for several yrs now an my most recent experience was excellent. I use keeper to store passwords, well I cant store my master password and forgotten it while setting up my new phone. Right when I thought all my items in Keeper were lost because I couldn’t recall my password, I sent an email and the support staff took amazing care of me. They were patient and attentive to my need while I was freaking out. What really blew me away was when I got in, the next day, I received a follow up message asking if everything was ok. Excellent service!! Highly recommend this app and service.

Caution when updating to new phone. I’m a long time keeper user who relied on Face ID to open the app on my phone. When I got a new phone recently, I discovered that I had to login to Keeper with my master password which over the months I had forgotten. My attempt to reset the password required my remembering the answer to a security question. Just a caution: before setting up a new phone make note of your master password and the answer to your security question. Importantly, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the Keeper app on your new phone after resetting your password to sync data. Keeper support helped me sort these issues. Thankfully!

Good product, bombards with upgrade notifications. The interface of this app is intuitive, simple, and secure. If you have an iPhone X, this app is extra convenient, as you don’t even have to remember the password to get into the app. However, one glaring issue is that each time you open the app, it will warn you that your trial period is almost over. I opened the app and saw that I had one hour left. A week later, an identical message popped up. The app uses the threat of losing “premium features”, when it seems that the app doesn’t even know what it could be taking away. If you find the high quality interface to be worth the cost of the subscription, then this app is definitely for you. If not, it will be a constant annoyance whenever you try to use the app.

Held Passwords Hostage for Yearly Fee. I have an older family member I’ve been attempting to get off of this app as I’m tired of frantic calls asking about the notifications attempting to extort users. One doesn’t need the Keeper cloud features so heavily promoted if they have room via iCloud and backup via iCloud. So thanks, but I’ll pass on the up-charge for something redundant. This year, a new twist. Keeper completely locked this older family member out of their account forcing her to pay $30 to re-gain access. Uh, I’ll pay today, export the passwords, then request a refund from Apple for extortion. Apple KeyChain is free. 1Password is way better as there are no notifications telling you you are insecure each time you open the app which freaks older people out. Eff off Keeper. You stink. I’ve never had an app cause me so much trouble related to all the fear mongering notifications that causes older users distress.

Overpriced. This app charges you a yearly fee of $30. If you have the free version it constantly bombards you with notifications about not being fully protected. The last straw for me was when I went to open the app to get the notification off my screen and accidentally double tapped the home button and before I could remove my thumb my Apple Pay scanned it and I paid the yearly fee. All just because I wanted a notification off my screen. An easy mistake anyone with Apple Pay could make. It was the first time I had seen this particular notification which I feel was designed for this kind of scam. Now disputing the charges. Very unsatisfied. Use another app these guys are crooks. I have no problem paying a one time fee for a useful app. But yearly???!!! Who are you guys kidding? Deleting the app and will not download anything else from this company. Thanks for the headache.

Awesome app, dazzling design.. I don’t often write reviews for apps (even for the ones I like) but I just have to show love for the creators of Keeper. I’ve been looking for a decent password manager for a couple of months, cycling through different popular options such as Dashlane and LastPass and none of what I tried left as good of an impression on me as Keeper did. The design of Keeper is beautiful (aesthetics is a big deal to me), the customizability is fantastic, and the pricing is great. Even the free version is super useful since I’m able to keep unlimited passwords (albeit only on a single device). All around a great app, and I’m definitely going to recommend this to friends and family. Good job on this app guys!

Colorful and fuller interface. I watched this app for the last couple of years. I don’t know these people behind the scenes but they must know me. Crazy font and you can do what u want to do. Not complicated at all, just put your info in app. I used to like 1Password until they wanted more money not mentioned u have to watch a video to put your passwords in a vault. Oh, I to send an email to the Techs, there response made me feel stupid. My brother said the tech degraded me. The Tech should not be answering in the manner. My brother is IT Teacher. Too much. So soon my subscription will end w/ 1Password and my attention will turn this new app. Thanks Keeper for being simple. Thank you, Liz K.

Long Time User Ripped Off. DEVELOPER IS MAKING A CASH GRAB BE WARNED. I’ve been using Keeper, the free version for years. I have all of my, and my families, Passwords saved in this app. It would frequently give messages to pay for an upgraded version which I always declined. Apparently my years long free version was converted to a paid subscription only because I have been locked out of all of my passwords unless I opt to pay $30. Complete horse crap! No email or communication from the company stating a policy change. No warning to copy my passwords before I was denied access. And the cost for their “protection” is 3x higher than other higher rated apps. I plan to take this escalate this further with the AppStore. I don’t know if that will have any effect, yet I hope this review serves to further warn - as other recent reviewers are doing - that this app has gone the road of manipulative developer bait and switch.

Great app, great customer service. I’ve had the Keeper app for years and have found it to be a terrific program. Last last night I discovered the Ivón missing from my iPhone and I contacted Customer Support and the automatic Chat responded that there was a live person to help and gave me an email to contact. Although I was concerned at how long I might have to wait for a response, I got an e-mail message from Allyssa with directions on what to do—simple & direct & successful! And while some might say the advice I got was obvious, I was at a loss and the quick response was awesome—and have I mentioned it a great app for keeping track of passwords.

Pay- or you will lose your passwords!!. DO NOT START USING THIS APP UNLESS YOU PLAN TO PAY FOR IT. (Insert 1-2 passwords to see how it works and if you like it- but do not use the free version thinking you can get by.) I have been using the trial version of Keeper for four years. It WAS a great app. It was always my understanding that like MANY other apps on the market- there is a free version and a Pay version. I THOUGHT the free version allowed a secure method to store my passwords on my phone - and the pay version would ensure a backup of those passwords in the event I lost my phone. NOT TRUE. I accepted the app update today- resulting in all of my passwords being held ransom for $30. If I didn’t pay- I didn’t get them. I opted out - thinking surely I misunderstood - nope. And...that was my one and only opportunity. The offer is no longer on the table. 116 passwords- gone. The short- this is a good app- IF YOU PAY. I would gladly pay a ONE TIME fee of $30 to get my passwords back and to continue using the app- but I can’t even do that now.

Lost ALL PASSWORDS. I only gave 3 stars, although the app itself is pretty great, I hate that it wants to charge you a fee to use it. I have been using the app for over 2 years, just the free version. I needed to update my email address, and once I updated it in the app all of my passwords were gone! I was in total shock and a little sick to my stomach because I rely so heavily on the app.(Note to self, I need to change that) I contacted support and they got back to me the same day a few hours later and they explained that since I was only using the free part that nothing syncs if I change any information. They were very helpful and temporarily restored all my passwords so I could get them, and I am so very grateful for that. BUT I will have to keep looking around to find something that doesn’t charge a fee to use.

It is simply Great!. I’ve been using it for a few years now, my friend recommended it. And I couldn’t be happier! All info is secured and since you generally always have your phone with you it’s really handy. Plus, you can attach files, like a copy of your drivers ID or insurance card, etc. just today I had a very pleasant experience when I had to log in using a password, and since I’ve been using a Touch ID for a long time I completely forgot my password. So I went to their website, it was passed 9pm, and a person, named Ben, walked me through the whole process, patiently answering my questions, and helped me to change the password and log into keeper on my new phone. Great customer service! Great protection service! Thank you keeper and keep it up! Cheers!

No point anymore. I’ve had this app for a few years. I used to love this app & even suggested it several X’s & for my mom to use as she got her business started. She of course would be using the paid version as I only needed the free basic version. I would NOT get this app as of now if I were you- UNLESS you’re willing to pay. If you forget your password twice, the third time it deletes EVERYTHING. I pushed the wrong letter & it deleted EVERYTHING. It was awful. There’s no back up password for this app. Also, this new updated version that really did it over the edge, is you can no longer make separate folders unless you pay. What’s the point of it being a free app? Unless it’s not anymore? There’s plenty of reasons people would need to pay, but limited reasons for myself & I used to just need some folders.. like a filing cabinet. Well, you used to be able to do that. Now you can’t unless you pay. I can add to my folders, but there’s no way to organize them. This app is pointless.

Best customer service. I have had this app for 5+ years. I have nothing but great things to say as it stores things I can never remember; this app is a lifesaver! I recently ran into issues as I continued to bypass the warning pop-up each time I logged in. Due to this, I reached out to support. Support was on top of it, consistent communication and was very persistent on getting a resolution! They even went out of their way to do a screen share in order to resolve with multiple members of their team. They were very responsive, polite, and resolved all my issues! I will always recommend this app! Keep up the great work!

Reliable. Have used about 4- 5 years. I have used Keeper about 4-5 years over 3 devices - PC, iPad and iPhone - regularly. I do not set it up to autofill (or whatever they call it), but maybe i am being overcautious; just saying what my experience is. I do believe that no one has hacked into my accounts or other data on Keeper. I did have my email hacked once but it was only one account that I had used in a small hotel in Nice France over their wifi, which was my mistake. I had entered my email address and password using their computer and wifi. I was desperate because my ride to airport hadn’t shown up and my iPhone wasn’t working for email there.

World Class - Exceptional Support. Dann from Keeper Support is awesome. I Just got a new iPad Pro. The “import everything from your old iPad ”feature/bug” didn’t work for many of the apps, including Keeper. After several master password changes, the new password worked on my iPhone and Mac desktop but would not work on my new iPad. I sent an email to Keeper Support late on a Sunday evening, not expecting a response for several days. To my surprise and delight, Dann from Keeper Support immediately sent me the solution for getting Keeper to work on my new iPad. Keeper works on all of my devices. Life is good. World Class customer support for sure.

Recovered Account. For some reason a few days ago I all of a sudden could not log in to the password keeper vault. Panicking because I use it daily, I sent an email to the support team at Keeper. I went through several levels because I knew I have a paid account it should be backed up. We emailed back and forth and the manager spent a lot of time trying to find this account. She found it but it was under a fat fingered email account. She was able to get me in, correct the email account and all my data is there. They are amazing. I have been in tech support for over 25 years and would consider this team excellent.

Underhanded commercial practises. I actually thought this app and service was great. I have been using for a year, with subscription outside of Apple. But 3 weeks before the expiry of my sub they charged me for the next full year. No warning, just direct debit. When I queried this practise, they advised that their T&Cs advise that they can proceed to auto-extend prior to expiry. Technically under their T&Cs they could do this at any time ! After explaining that this practise is unreasonable, they finally backed down and offered a refund. A quick check on consumer sites and apparently this is a thing with them. This is such a shame. This type of product requires trust - this practise smacks of dishonesty and totally undermines that trust. So no choice for me but to terminate my sub and find an alternative. Such a shame - but under these conditions I wouldn’t touch this. Maybe if you sub via Apple this won’t happen ? Otherwise - steer clear.

Be aware. I had free version of Keeper and I had over 50 logging in infos for a few years. Today I upgraded my iPhone and tried to log in to Keeper app but I forgot my password for this app and renewed it. After renewing the password, Keeper said “all your password were deleted from this device for your security.” So now I can log in to my account but everything is gone. To get my things back, I have to purchase 29 dollars annually. I know this app was amazing, but the way they took all my information as hostage and trying to get my money is sneaky. 29 dollars isn’t cheap!! Be aware what this app can do and Keep your logging in infos on papers!! Updated; I contacted customer service and the person was nice enough to put back all my volt infos temporarily. So I copied and pasted to one sheet and printed it to papers. I am thankful about what he did for me but I still think this app is not worth paying 29. I did not like the how they reply to my review either. Now I am deleting the app.

Sync doesn’t work in latest version. I’ve been using a Keeper for a long time (years) and always had good luck with it. Tries to change a password using the latest version (14.2) on my iPhone. Expected the change to be reflected on my other devices just as it always has, but it just says “Syncing. Please wait”. Tried working with the support team over a period of 2 hours or so, but while they tried, it still won’t copy the passwords over from my phone to my iPad and my PC. The old version (14.1) that I have on my iPad Pro works just fine and syncs with the Keeper cloud, but the big advantage of having the passwords on all my devices just doesn’t work anymore.

Creeper security. It’s a useful service with many features. I downloaded the free version thinking that I was getting a bare bones app, and that I would only have to pay if I want extra features. I should have read the terms and conditions before downloading it because it’s only a free trial. When I started getting notifications that I would have to evolve my account into a paid subscription, i looked for a easy way to deactivate the account. Between having to ask customer service for permission to stop using something that was about to evolve into a paid subscription, and then being asked to justify my request, I was pretty turned off by the product. I find this new way of promoting apps appalling. It’s devious and desperate. I expect tricks like this from scam artists. Not from a reputable company. Give your F$@&ing customers the ability to stop using your product if they have not agreed to pay for it yet.

Awesome App to secure passwords. I have been a Keeper user for quite some time. I am very pleased. I recently received notification that my account is about to expire but I’m ok cause it is set up for auto renewal. I don’t know why but I looked at some reviews on password manager apps. They say Keeper is by far the best but pricey. Why pay for it when you can get it free. Personally I think the price is worth it. Keeper allows seamless changes/updates across all my devices. I can allow Keeper to generate strong passwords rather than using my old method where many of them are duplicates. Not good. Keep up the good work Keeper Developers. I will allow the auto renewal to take place.

Safe and reliable, easy.... for a not so competent user. The number of password and logins needed to shop, make appointments, pay bills is overwhelming. Keeper is a quick and reliable record keeper, and so far in 7?, 8?, 9? years nothing has been breached. The only problem for me is when keeper suggests a PW, which does seem safer than the ones I use. If you’re not using a device that can have keeper, you’d have to manually enter it. For me if I’m using a device without keeper it’ll be because all mine were damaged, lost or stolen. So I’d have to write everything down somewhere as a backup. Maybe “the cloud” or something like that could save keeper. I’m not that capable.

Best security measures in place. I recently became a victim of identity fraud, where someone got into my Yahoo email and was requesting password changes through email to my major accounts. I then needed to change my email in Keeper but it wouldn’t let me. Jeyson in Tech Support went back and forth with me in emails asking several questions and me showing proof that it was actually me before any changes like a simple email change. That’s the kind of security you want to protect your identity and your personal information. Not like the major companies like Yahoo and Wells Fargo who easily changed all my info through an email and allowed $9,000 to be transferred online. THANKS JEYSON AND THANK YOU KEEPER!!

Too many passwords. The systems at my work requires different passwords for each system. Some require changing every 90 days! There is no way I could keep up on them. Keeper lets me organize categories and select favorites for the different systems I keep track of for work and home. It is so easy to get into keeper get my password and get to work. I’ve used other password saving programs. This one I have had for a couple of years now. It is very reliable and the upgrades they have made over this time have been constant improvements to make it even better than it was when I started using it. A trustworthy app!

Great but Face ID not working with my new phone. 5 stars up until recently. I have used this app for years and it has served me well. My two compliments: for some reason switching to new iPhone 13 does not work with Face ID. The app will scan my face but it just doesn’t open the app, I still have to manually type password. Thai is only app it doesn’t work with so far. Second thing is the free version should still have a basic ability to delete information. It lets me try but then requires the upgrade to delete. Otherwise a helpful app. Update: chat support has easy fix. Log in with master password, setting, toggle off and then on again biometric login. Worked!

Extremely Pleased!. Recently I purchased a new iPhone and needed to change my email address. I was unable to access the Keeper Security app on the new phone to update my email address. Kevin from Keeper verified my account and walked me through the steps to access the app and set up the facial recognition feature. Kevin was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He also provided links t informative videos on Keeper 101, how to access Keeper from a desktop, and KeeperFill for desktop. I was really impressed with the excellent customer service I received and would not hesitate to recommend Keeper to anyone looking for secure password storage.

Love this app, great customer service!. I love the easy use of this app - folders, copy and paste, password suggestions, Login URL, photos of documents or credit cards etc. I have the unlimited plan and have been satisfied with the security of my information with no problems for the few years I have been with Keeper. I had one problem with my iPhone quitting when I tried to open Keeper app but I sent an email and got a response right back. After a few emails the problem was fixed. I was grateful for customer service with their efficient and fast response. I love the app as I can store all of my passwords, important information and photos etc.

Unsubscribing to Keeper emails is a FOUR STEP PROCESS!!!. What is this, the 80s? If you sign up for keeper but don’t want to receive their emails, you must 1. Scroll to the bottom of email and press unsubscribe (for most sites, that’s the whole process) 2. You are asked to enter your email to then receive a separate unsubscribe email. Good luck if you don’t recall which email you signed up with. 3. You receive an email which contains a link taking you ONCE AGAIN to their site (and you must accept their cookies to be able to enter) 4. You must check any and all boxes for the types of emails you want to unsubscribe to. Utterly infuriating. I’m deleting the app and my account simply because I don’t want to support a company which makes life that much harder. There should be a law that doesn’t allow for companies like this to waste so much of your time.

I couldn't function without Keeper!. My wife and I have been loyal users of Keeper for YEARS. We both work for the Government and have 20 or so login id's with individual passwords just for work-related systems. Those systems force you to change the password regularly and each have different require. For work alone...Keeper is great! But...between my wife, our 2 kids & myself we actually have almost 300 login records to keep...and without Keeper to help maintain all of them the task would be nearly impossible! I gladly pay for the Annual Subscription so that we can store everything securely in the Cloud and access it from all of our devices. It's truly an amazing tool and we Love It!

Week end tech support. I’ve been using Keeper for several years and since I’m not a particularly “techie” person I probably just scratch the surface of the overall capabilities. However It does everything that I need it to do and security is excellent. This weekend I had a need to change the logon info and was having trouble accomplishing my goal so I reached out to their their on line support team and since it was after hours I sent them an email explaining the help I needed and shortly Pio was back with suggestions. I had a little difficulty accomplishing the task (remember what I said about my tech skills). No problem Pio stuck with me and ultimately it was successfully completed. 🙂 Thanks Pio and Keeper, keep up the great work!!

Keeper. Keeper has been perfect. I’ve used it for years for both personal and business. Customer Support has been top notch as well. Lost my password a few years ago and went through the third degree to gain access again. I was happy about that because of the data I entrusted to them. Works perfectly on everything I have installed it on. Web access has always been fast as well. I recommend Keeper to all my customers. In business we share folders to each other for access to that data as well. I won’t look anywhere else for a solution. Like I said, I’ve used it for years and am more than happy. Sticking with it. My customers always thank me for pointing them to keeper. Great job! Great Customer and Support.

Leisurely retired. Keeper gives me a huge sense of security. So many different passwords to remember. It’s all recorded in one app. Prior password information was written in little notebooks finding it difficult to locate at that moment of urgency when I was prompted to change/remember my passwords. Keeper leaves a complete record for my husband/family in case of emergencies. As an organized individual, formatting my security information leaves me with several options to record additional information such as account numbers, addresses, contacts, notes, etc. It’s all on one app! Open Keeper and you are able connect to any of your accounts with a touch.

I’ve Been Robbed. If I am proven wrong, I’ll beg forgiveness and make a star studded review. But all have to go on is that all the passwords and personal important data I stored on this app has disappeared. I kept getting the usual requests for upgrades, at an fee, but I have no use for the added features it offers. So, I repeatedly declined or disregarded the notices. I could be wrong but I can only land on that being the issue for the robbery. Most all apps are a free usage utility. Most do have upgrade features. I usually have no use for them. But none of them shut me off and take away what I have put in them. Now, these App managers have most of my personal information. Someone oughta make an app that protects we customers from thievery by App managers/creators. I want t give minus stars, but there are none. I expect an explanation at least, or these ratings will continue with harsher language.

Money stealer & a BUNCH of advertisements. This app has so many advertisements it’s enough to drive anybody crazy! I accidentally purchased the year subscription by clicking the wrong button, but even after calling customer service to fix the problem I had access to the “premium” version. However, the premium version has just as many advertisements and pop ups, and $30 just to have your passwords backed up when there are so many free versions out there is RIDICULOUS. Well, the year has expired and it’s time to renew my premium subscription, which I never wanted in the first place so I’m not buying it again. Come to find out, Keeper has locked me out, disabled my account, and now I can’t access any of my passwords unless I pay the $30! I need those passwords, and there’s no option to go back to the regular version, so it looks like I’ve got to pay the $30 bucks. What a scam! Stay away from this app...there’s much better out there that won’t steal your money.

Love it! Saves me time in my business. I run a small digital marketing agency and I have a SH😫T ton of passwords we need all the time. Now, we use keeper and so does my whole family too. No more pulling up a clients file to get a password - that time adds up when you monitor 20 clients marketing every day. Not anymore!!! We put all of their passwords into the folder we create. We only have access and clients agree to notify us immediately through our secure portal of changes. Then they are updated in keeper so none misses a beat. And more importantly we never need to”track down” one of the thousands of passwords we need. Btw, keepers’ file system helps us stay ultra organized too.

Major Functionality Shortcoming. There is a major functionality shortcoming in the “Keeper Password Manager” application. It does not communicate and update modified passwords back to your browser’s password file (Firefox for me). So, updating a password in Keeper also requires a manual password update in your browser. After the initial application installation, where Keeper downloads passwords from your browser, there is no further communication back to your browser. I purchased this program to be a password manager and synchronize passwords between my desktop, laptop and iPhone. It does provide password synchronization between your devices (within the Keeper application) but you must manually change each device’s browser passwords. The only really useful function of Keeper for me is the ability to export your usernames and passwords to a text file. Without communication to automatically update your browser’s passwords, Keeper is extremely limited.

My Password Keeper Story. I had downloaded this app on the suggestion of a family member and loved it instantly. I loved it so much, I purchased the unlimited plan and to see what it was all about. A year later, my subscription ended and I couldn’t complain because I still had access to all my information and passwords but the pop ups on launch asking me to renew was annoying. So, three months after my subscription ended, I learn that I can no longer access my account and that sent me into an endless amount of support ticket emails. I did end up being able to access my account and obtain any important passcodes but the lesson of all this is that this app is great free but if you pay once and never pay again, you are out of luck.

Even Paid Version is Endless Nagware. I’ve been using Keeper for 6 years now. I paid $10 for the first year… and it’s been $30 since then for backup of my passwords. I like the way it creates, stores and retrieves passwords… even integrating into the iOS framework to auto-populate password fields most of the time when needed. BUT… despite paying $30 per year for service… you can count on it popping up ads to push more service sales on you on a regular basis (seems like once a day at least). If I say NO to an offer… it should accept it as a NO instead of covering the app and shoving the ad in my face over and over again. I’m already paying for the app. I expect ads in free, ad-supported apps. But this is a major nuisance that has only gotten worse over time. It’s to the point that despite my years of investment in the app… I’m seriously considering finding a better option.

Keeper saved my son. I have never written a app review before but I thought I would share a story about the Keeper app. I have had this app for many years and store all my families personal information on their site, health information , banking etc. My son who is a diabetic went into diabetic shock and the doctors and nurses needed to know what medications he takes. All of his medications are stored on Keeper, whether this was the right app or wrong the data was there for me if needed. My Keeper subscription expired and being low on funds I could not renew at the time and needed my sons information desperately. Fortunately Keeper has an email address where I emailed them my situation and shortly thereafter I received a warm response that my plan was downgraded to the free plan and my data was now accessible immediately. Again, this might not have been the correct app to use for health history information, but it was sure nice that the team at Keeper was just as concerned as I was for the health and well-being of my son. Thank you Keeper for being there when I really needed you. I will be a customer for life.

So Far So Helpful!. I finally needed to opt for a paid premium data security and password management service and my IT friend’s recommended Keeper Support. Purchasing a subscription and downloading the app was a cinch, but generating a “Master Password” to access my account that I had to memorize was a much larger doozy as I wasn’t sure how complex I was allowed to be. I ended up activating the Self Destruct Local Data feature because my Master Password took too long to enter into their login screens 😂 (WHICH IS A GOOD THING, SECURITY IS AIR-TIGHT). Fortunately, their customer support advocate Thomas compassionately and intuitively walked me through deleting my account, regenerating a new account, and transferring my pod subscription to my account 2.0! Ten stars and a great vote of thanks to Thomas!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was really daunting as an beginner/intermediate-leveled IT skilled-human myself, but Thomas made it easy, enumerated ever state with total clarity and I rapidly had my Keeper back up and running. It was genuinely an incredibly fun and exciting process despite the fears that popped up along the way, and so I am eternally grateful to Thomas and Keeper Customer Support. Sincerely, Dylan Nevin

A practice they should immediately stop!. I have had a subscription for many years. I was very satisfied. In the last several months I started getting annoying pop-ups to purchase the “File Storage” feature which I do not need or want. Today I received an email reminding me to renew my subscription. To my surprise they have added that same feature, and I tried to uncheck it to no avail. It is an attempt to force and/or trick you to buy it. This is totally unacceptable and frankly illegal!! I did communicate this to their support team. To be fair, they responded very quickly and fixed the renewal page. I would give them 5 stars if these annoying and inappropriate messages are removed from the app. and if the renewal process is permanently fixed too. The app. Is great otherwise.

Great App. I have had this app for 4 years or longer. I have probably not being using to its full potential, but am starting to explore the many possibilities. I have (and will continue to) recommended this app to many of my friends and associates. I just read a review from a user complaining about a couple of things which he should have known by common sense and reading the app’s documentation. The thing that bothers me most on negative reviews is that people go straight to the reviews or social media. I get that they are bothered by some aspect, but please, communicate with the companies first before voicing it on public venues. Thanks, BC.

Amazing App. Keeper was well named. This App is worth the time and money if you want additional security on your systems. I had Avast Passwords for a number of years and it worked until something went wrong and I needed customer support. What a nightmare. I have over 200 PW’s and continue to enter new PW’s each day. To be locked out is an issue. I recently upgraded to an Apple IPhone 12 Pro Max from and 11 Pro Max. When that occurred my sync from one phone to another stopped working and I called AVAST support. The nightmare began. Phone support was the worse and there were no fixes. It seemed like I was calling another world. Finally I printed all my passwords out before I was locked out of the system completely and research Apps for Passwords I decided on “Keeper” and I am very pleased with the platform, ease of use, and support. The feature that made it easier to enter all my passwords and cleanup the past was easy. They have a SCAN feature that I was able to scan my printed PW’s and make some adjustments. Enter new PW’s is easy and the system works well. Security is tight and I now have my PW’s on all my devices with backup Amazing App

Lost all data and they told me "that's the risk of the free version".. I have been using this app for 1.5 years. It always gives me the choice to "keep using the free version" or "upgrade". I always choose just to keep using the free version. I have maybe 20 passwords saved in this app. One day I opened the app up and boom, all passwords listed in the vault were magically gone. I emailed their support team and they said "this is the risk you take when you keep using the free version." So this makes me think: Crashes and desync issues don't happen in the paid version? These are only problems with the free version? Why are you making a crappy free version to lure people in then? That's horribly unethical. What a joke this company is to hold your data hostage like that. I'm not sure what app I might move to next, but now I have to reconstruct most of the websites passwords I have, as I relied solely on this app to save it all for me and didn't keep a second list. Trust me when I say that won't happen again.

Tricked into paying and nagging pop ups now. I had used the free version for several years and it had worked fine. When logging in it would show an account access error but usually could be bypassed by clicking through some pop ups. After logging in several weeks ago I was closing the pop up error messages and inadvertently purchased the app. This may happen to you if have Apple purchases via fingerprint reader enabled. I would imagine this has likely happened to other users by design of the pop ups. I read the horror stories in other reviews regarding trying to revert back to the free version and decided it wasn’t worth the risk. Although I’m now paying for the app I still get annoying pop ups every time I log in to purchase additional features. In addition, the app does not allow you to delete records offline. Very disappointed with the push into paid accounts in this way.

DIFFICULT TO USE. Purchased this a while ago. Positives are that it can be shared with others, including those you would want to give access to should you be incapacitated. Program is difficult to use, but I hear from other users that password keeper programs are all pretty difficult to use. Inserting passwords is extremely difficult. Took me at least 2 weeks to do this. Again, this part is probably comparable to other programs. Entering new passwords and changing passwords is not as flexible as I would want. I want my passwords to be as short as possible ~ 8 characters. I use a separate generator to find strong 8-character passwords. Keeper does not make it easy to use my own passwords. Right now I am having issues with my vault not showing the same records as on my other devices (iPhone, Windows desktop), so there is a sync issue somewhere. Also maintaining and using other personal info is not easy, such as credit card into. Overall, this product has been a disappointment, but all things considered, better than any other alternative to keeping passwords managed. Hopefully they continue to keep updating the program and finding ways to make it easier to use.

Extortion in an app. This is not free!!. I downloaded this “free” app about 8 years ago. It was great then and then it went to a paid version for them to store backups. I paid the small fee for the piece of mind of having everything backed up. Then, when Apple integrated password management through iCloud, I didn’t need the back up. Once I canceled, I was hounded constantly through email, pop-ups in the app, and notifications on my lock screen that my data was no longer protected. I was ok with that, so I dismissed and went on. I rarely use the app anymore except for a password to a site I haven’t logged into in a long time. Today, when I try to log in, it says I have to pay $30 to access my information! Password reset is much cheaper! I used to recommend this app, now I tell everyone to stay far, far, away or be extorted to get your information back.

Constantly spamming to upgrade plan. I love the password function of this app, I use it constantly, but I hate how many notifications this app gives me trying to pay more for other functions. It feels like every time I open the app it tells me “to upgrade my storage.” I’ve never paid for this feature, I never will, and I hate that I constantly have to say no. I pay more money for this app then any other app on my phone and I don’t appreciate they are trying to annoy me into milking more money out of me. Edit: updated 2 star review to 4 star. After contacting customer support my app was put into “offline mode” and I no longer get spammed advertisements every time I open the app. It was a hassle to have to contact them for this reason so -1 star.
