Wonderful accommodations and great staff!. We stayed at Melia Cozumel over three weeks last month from February 24th through March 12th, 2018. Everything was fantastic, want to give particular high marks to the following employees: Hilario, the beach waiter who was always eager to bring what we wanted- we dont usually drink much but probably did on the days he worked:) Alicia our maid who remembered that we need extra waters for medication etc.. Alberto the waiter in the buffet area who is so friendly and taught us Mayan words , like “show-pee” that means finished, all done. Hassell went over and above at the concierge and the other girl, Tania, was very helpful to assist my calling the airline to extend our trip and help with Spanish translating. Sandra from the office did a good job setting it all up for us. Bryan was very helpful with my printing a few important documents, so patient and calm. Martin, the younger waiter at breakfast was very polite and refilled the coffees quickly. Tania helpful at concierge. On our last night, Jose at at dinner buffet with good with the wine refills. Antonio at breakfast always came with more coffee and water. Those are the standouts I took notes about, although I have to say not one of the staff were ever rude, the activities team was funny and friendly and even though we didnt participate in anything but maybe Bingo once they made us feel welcome if we wanted to. Another enjoyable stay and we look forward to next time! Thank you!

TripAdvisor is both good start AND ending!. I have long used TripAdvisor as one of my starting points when planning, or even just thinking about travelling. The information is almost always timely, especially when there is current information from contributors. Unfortunately, as I am a “Digital Dinosaur”, it has been a challenge for me to upload specific/designated information and some long-labored-over documents have yet to be accepted/published. This is very frustrating to me, especially when my information is very current & relevant. Also, I dislike not always getting instantaneously published, unlike some other competing websites. Oftentimes, once I’ve completed my odyssey, I need clarification of particular details, which I can find at their site. I both use and contribute to TripAdvisor. I highly recommend it, and it certainly gets my “Wheel of Approval!” FULL DISCLOSURE: I also own a bit of stock in this fine company,

Really helps RVers, more & more as people utilize. In travel, this app is priceless! Particularly traveling to a new destination, helps tremendously with restaurant info. and directions! Ditto for events, attractions. Much better than Around Me, which we hardly use anymore. Even at home, we use it when the inevitable question “where should we go eat?” arises. Especially when wanting something other than our usual go-tos. Breakfast lunch or dinner, or even Happy Hr. it sure helps. Can really tell a difference in the App since we retired 3 years ago and began more extended RV trips - more RV parks and public campgrounds being listed and reviewed, all the time. Pictures help soo much as well as specific site info., amenities, when trying to find a place to camp. And Especially when looking for a place to eat, sightsee or shop for fresh seafood/meats in a new place, we find TA invaluable. The more people use and review, the better it gets. And the app updates have made it better. Keep up the good work, TA!

Trip Advisor App. I love the Trip Advisor App. It is easy to use and has a wealth of information. You can find information on hotels all over the world, destinations for travel and activities once you get there amongst so much more. There are recent reviews on the modes of transportation, restaurants and attractions. Therefore, you will read useful information and opinions. Just go to the App Store and download the app. Who knows? You may even become a reviewer of the places you've been, the sights you saw, the meals you ate at the many restaurants, or you can introduce new places or tours not listed, and Trip Advisor will research and verify there is such a place, notify you, and then you can write a review. How cool is that?! You can introduce not only the readers on the site to the new place but also you have introduced Trip Advisor to it! Use the app conveniently to find your travel needs easily or to just find a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner, then read reviews on it. Enjoy!

Lothian motorcoach trip from Edinburgh. My friend and I took a day tour with Lothian motorcoaches out of Edinburgh on 27Sept2019. Our driver was Ian and guide was Scott. Being the handsome lad he is, Scott really should have been in a kilt! Our day trip was to Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and Doune Castle. Now, being the Outlander fan that I am, when I found out this Castle was used as Castle Leoch in the Outlander,I was definitely all in. Thus trip did not disappoint. Scott really should be a stand up comedian. The “history lesson” was delivered in such a way that it was never boring! He had us all in stitches!! I would definitely recommend this trip and make sure to get Scott, if possible. Now, the “icing on the cake”for me was when Scott chased me four blocks after I got off the bus to return my purse that I had left on the seat!! Lord... what a life saver this man was! I will say, the ONLY thing that could have made this trip better, was for Scott to be in a kilt!! I mean, it IS Scotland after all. Pamela D. Florida. USA

I use it daily to locate the best dining hotels, etc. An Example: my wife & I were driving home from Branson last week, decided to stop for lunch in Harris, Ark., opened trip advisor and searched for “Nearby” restaurants. We found Jessi’s and it was a hidden gem, would have never believed that a restaurant this good would be there. We then continued on and found an extremely good value hotel (Econo lodge) on the outskirts of Little Rock. We could tell from the Traveler reviews that this was a great place to stay the night, and it turned out to be true, absolutely. we then searched for for nearby restaurants, using “Cajun & Creole” dining offerings in the search filter. “Copeland’s came up , and it was wonderful. These examples are from just one day of several hundred days of traveling in the last three years. Trip adviser has been an essential part of our travels, and we’d be “travel dysfunctional” if we didn’t have it in the future.

Dependably yummy!. December 2018: Took 2 out-of-town girlfriends. Very tasty lemony chicken breast with capers, rice, grilled asparagus (nightly special) and HGF burger with fries. Creme brûlée delicious. Not too noisy. Late October 2018: Took 7 out-of-town childhood girlfriends. Ultimately it turned out fine BUT a near fiasco at first: our reservation was lost (even though we’d called twice); we ended up after a 30 minute wait asking to seat us anywhere; we ended up as a table of 4 up front and a table of 3 in the very back. Fortunately, everyone liked what they’d ordered: lasagna, a shrimp and pasta dish, chicken, bison burger. Sorry can’t recall more specifically, but basically from the menu. The waitress gave each table a dessert gratis and we loved the creme brûlée! Early October 2018: my companion and I loved our late dinner at the bar! Bison burger for me was tasty, not greasy, nicely topped with cheese and lettuce and tomato. Companion’s chicken sandwich was goodly sized, nicely fried and well seasoned. He really liked the fries too. Wonderful bartender- can’t recall his name, darn it! Lucky to have this in lil ole Weaverville.

Always use TripAdvisor! Helps so much in travel advice .. We try and take a yearly vacation and visit new place in our travels. As some, we save to have the best time, see as much as we can for great value. It’s always so helpful reading others experiences and thoughts. our trip to Germany last year we found amazing tours to several castles in a luxury coach. Trust me I was skeptical about spending a little extra $, but ready several different takes on it we were sold. Thank goodness we did, the other bus was packed as we had only30 people. It was amazing! We also used the advice of a smart travel in St. Lucia. A private van took us all over the island that the cost of a busy tour bus would of. Plus we we’re head of all the buses, so we beat the crowds. We even use TripAdvisor for restaurants when we head to different cities through the year. Yes, people have different likes but reading other reviews helps us find some awesome handed treasures. I could go on and on, but you just need use it, it’s a great way to help with some many things. Make your life easy be advised😎

Unbelievably Disappointed. Paid A LOT of money for my extended family of 7 to enjoy Ruth’s country dinner. When we arrived there was NOWHERE for us to sit. There were 2 seats we were able to find (@ different tables) and nothing else. The man who was to be singing/performing offered to disassemble a display table (card table) and gather some random chairs to accommodate some of my family which was super nice, but I felt like there should have been enough proper seating options for us. The girl setting things up was also so apologetic and tried to help best she could while my teenagers stood holding their plates and ate standing up. I went strait to the front desk where I was told I might find Julie (who I was told was in charge of these dinner reservations). The girls there gave me Julie’s business card with a cell phone and other contact info. I texted her and got an auto response letting me know that they had received my message and would be in touch. That was 3 days ago and still no contact from Julie or anybody for that matter… when I arrived back at the venue, someone had set up a table for my family in the blistering sun (to leave space for entertainment in the little left shade) with enough chairs and a proper table cover. I went to serve myself and there was maybe about a four of a cup of corn left and NO dessert left except watermelon. Just over all a huge disappointment and for the money I paid, just completely unacceptable.

This is the best place to find ratings and details about hotels, restaurants, etc.. I evaluate most of the hotels, restaurants, and local sights on TripAdvisor. I only rarely have to give bad ratings since I have checked in advance on TripAdvisor. By reading many reviews you can quickly get a good idea of each rated place. Note that some reviewers are always negative - either they are never satisfied or they are so grumpy that they have brought out the worst in everyone they meet. When hundreds of visitors have given a place “excellent” or “very good” ratings, usually the few bad ratings are due to such trolls. I usually do read several negative ratings - bad days do occur and there are flaws in everything and it can help you to notice those flaws - but if most people liked it, I will probably like it too. I have used “Yelp” at times for restaurant reviews (sometimes searching sends me to Yelp). It is ok, but I have not usually found it more convenient. I am less familiar with it - and I have never posted a rating there. If I have to sign in each time, this is the last time you will hear from me.

TripAdvisor is Fabulous. I had never heard of TripAdvisor until 2 years ago when my brother and his wife came to Cleveland. When I didn’t know how to get to Slyman’s (for the best corned beef and pastrami), my brother looked it up on TripAdvisor. Then when we were hungry for dessert (specifically custard), he pulls out his phone and looks up nearby custard/ice cream sellers and discovered Weber’s (the best vintage custard and ice cream!!) and Mitchell’s(fabulous gourmet milkshakes as well as marvelous ice cream)which we ended up indulging in on 2 different days! I was able to learn more about Northeast Ohio in the short time my brother was in town simply because he had a TripAdvisor app as his ‘go to’ for anything he wanted to see or do in the area! As soon as he went back to Texas, I got the TripAdvisor app for myself and have been thoroughly enjoying it and the places I have been able to visit and recommend as a result of his complete trust in its reliability and complete access to all the travel information he needs!!

Great App. I’m enjoying planning our families summer day trips and weekend trips using this app. For longer trips, I appreciate the feature that allows me to place certain attractions on different days of my trip. I would suggest however, being able to view only the events and attractions listed under a certain day. For example, I plan a 5 day trip to Washington DC that includes a total of 49 (!) attractions that I have divided as I wish to see them amongst the five day stay. It would be great if I could click on day two for instance, and only see the attractions and events that I planned for that day so that it would be easier to see where the locations are on the map and it would be more efficient to rearrange my itinerary according to attractions and events that are close to one another. Thank you for adding the “add note” section for each attraction, as I use to write in hours of operation and cost of events so I can see it at a glance.

Plastic Surgery. Dr Enrique Alejandro is so so good. I did a lot of research on surgeons in Guadalajara, or Dr Alejandro does most of his work, and compared his technique, his skills, and his training with the best surgeons in New York. My sister-in-law had had work done by Dr. uses the same technique and she looks amazing. I did my research and Dr Alejandro uses the latest under the muscle technique not used by many because they have not had the training. He takes his time and treated me as an individual piece of art, sculpting my face in a way that did not change the way I look but a younger version of myself. I don’t look like “ i’ve had work done”. I’m just younger looking. The Elaen Center in Nuevo Vallarta Connect to the San Javier hospital is clean, the staff professional and caring. Not only that but he would contact me to check up on me, to have me come in for regular checks up without extra charge. He’s young, professional and takes immense pride in his work.

The lobby was a big disappointment.. Not used to staying at hotels that are so simple. There is no luxury here. Besides, the hotel they advertised is not the hotel at all. The hotel with the beautiful pools is the one they show in the pictures. Seaside suites palms are dated and just okay. So if you are looking for luxury this is definitely not it. We were up graded by our travel agency. Thank God for that. Would I had stayed at the regular suites that are far back away from the pools and the beach. I believe a 3 start would have been too much. Lobby was like something you see at a M courtyard, If you know what I mean!? But hot. First day here, I know we will not come back. You have to walk everywhere because the little golf cars only pick you up at the lobby. Oh and by the way seaweed is horrible you can’t swim in the beach and the smell is horrible as soon as you get outside of your room it smells pretty bad. Maybe that is Mother Nature and no fault of the hotel. I don’t know if they can’t do anything about that.

Horrible Customer Service. Apparently in using Trip Advisor they don't stand behind the reservations you have made through their app. I made a reservation and paid through the Trip Advisor app that I have used many times. Upon the hotel arrival of my out of town workers the reservation wouldn't go through. Apparently, Trip Advisor uses another company called Cancelon to process all of their payments. There was not a soul to be found at this Cancelon company to assist with anything. Their phone lines rang and a recording came on saying 'number not found'. The lady, who I could barely understand, from Trip Advisor could only say that they don't process the payments, Cancelon does. I WAS NOT using Cancelon to make reservations...I was using Trip Advisor! My confirmation email came from you, TRIP ADVISOR, Not anyone else!! If you use someone else that's between you and them! I am OR was a Trip Advisor customer, not a Cancelon customer. I'm sure this has to be happening to other people. Trip Advisor, you need to put something on your app to let customers know reservations apparently can't be made through you at this time. I get it, there is a whole lot going on in the world right now, but please take the time and LET PEOPLE KNOW!

Lost confidence. My wife and I always check out the reviews for hotels and restaurants and have had great results. The reviews reflect accurately what our experiences have been. We have to weed out some of the negative reviews, some people just have to vent when the world just doesn’t go their way. But now TA is rating with their “Best Value”. My wife and I travel to many of the same cities for work and have learned where to stay and not to stay. Their Best Value is completely false and we must say a completely fake rating for us the consumer. We can’t begin to understand any logic in these ratings. There is no cost association and for sure there is no quality association. We are guessing that TA has sold out to who will pay the most. In the end we have lost confidence in anything they say now and feel we must check other sites to be sure of all our future choices for hotels and restaurants. Such a shame, it was such a good site, you can still switch to consumer ratings....but have they sold out to the highest bidder there, if they are ok making a fake Best Value are they ok with making or modifying reviews to the highest bidder and they become fake.

Delicious food & vibe at Cerveceria Puerta de la Carne!!!. Our first night in Seville we arrived late on a Friday night and stumbled onto this vibrant, extremely busy delicious smelling bar restaurant around the corner from where we were staying! Little did we know how absolutely DELICIOUS this neighborhood FIND really was!!!!! We ordered tapas dishes that blew us away in taste!!!! This is a bar that will blow your socks off as you indulge the culinary senses with delicious meats and incredible sauces too!! The various potatoes they offered were some of the best potatoes we’ve ever eaten! They melted in our mouths! So did the various styles of whiskey cooked beef & chicken! The sweet cheek pork was mouth watering too! Loved our waiters and owner! Down to earth hard working fun people!!! Ton’s of regulars as we noticed when we went back a second time ! Yes we ate here twice during our 4 night stay in Seville’s Santa Cruz area because we were craving the food from this restaurant!!!! Thank you for two delicious late night tapas dinners! We hate to leave your beautiful Seville but we will be back hopefully next year to eat more at Cerveceria Puerta De La Carne!! Muchas gracious!!! Hope, Tom & Sam!

Great App But Could Use Improvements. I use TripAdvisor quite often to review my experiences at hotels, restaurants and attraction areas as well as read the reviews of others when deciding on areas and places to visit. It would be great if TripAdvisor would add cruise lines to their portfolio of things that can be reviewed as I am getting ready to take a cruise and would love to share my experience when I return. I have had some difficulties when trying to write reviews for locations or places that are not yet listed in the app. This has been very frustrating as you do not realize that your review will not get published until after you go through all that effort to write the review and include pictures etc. Additionally, I would like to see some incentives or benefits for members that take the time to write all of these reviews to inform the general public of their experiences. I have written 105 reviews, and I have not yet received any type of incentives i.e. discounts to restaurants, hotels, attractions etc. Granted, I do not write these reviews for any type of reward. I write them because it benefits me when I read others reviews when trying to decide on things to do and places to go; however, I just think it would be nice for TripAdvisor to give some sort of gesture to show that they appreciate what we as reviewers do for them. Overall, I do enjoy using this app and will continue to use the app as needed because the benefits outweigh their need for improvements.

Great app but tired of some of the questions. I like the app and have used it for both evaluating and reviewing restaurants, hotels, and things to do all over the world. It is fairly easy to use but have found 1 issue that was only cleared up after I sent a message to Trip Advisor. When adding a new location of any type, a website or social media listing is shown being “optional.” I have found that if the new location does not have a website or not listed on social media, TA will reject the listing without explanation. This was very frustrating after going through all the detail of listing 2 new restaurants and having them rejected without explanation. There should be a note requiring website or social media address before going through details of a new listing. A point that not only perturbs but concerns me greatly is I am totally offended by constantly being asked if a restaurant offers halal food. It is very discriminatory to single this out. I do not nor will I ever eat this food so stop asking me this offense question!!!!

1 Stars for intrusive practice. Honestly it hard to rate something that is not optional. I wanted to stay on their website but the website keeps spamming you with to continue please download the app or create a account. It’s not a recommendation it’s forced down your mouth. With that being said apon downloading the app, if you think you do not get to create a account now that have downloaded the app think again! More deceptive practices. You still have to give a email creat user an experience that takes 4 minutes out of your time an ultimately should be optional. I don’t want more companies with my email filling up my promotional tab. Over all a 1 star and experience from the start. Trip advisor sets the mood right away with deceptive business practices. They do not stand out outside of other websites for providing additional or unique options or the hidden gems you get to know via word of mouth. Generally I never give a 1 star review however in this situation I believe it is warranted and just until they give you a skip option in the app for account creation, or change the deceptive wording on their website that collectively is false marketing.

Historic Scotland Explorer Pass. We were gently pressured to buy the 5 day Historic Scotland Explorer Pass on our visit to Stirling Castle. The ticket concession seller described how we would be saving money and “avoiding the long lines” to buy tickets to enter Edinburgh Castle or any of the 77 Historic Scotland places. We spent 3+ hours enjoying Stirling Castle and had a decent lunch there. 2 days later we went to Edinburgh and entered the Edinburgh Castle. It was cold, windy and very uncomfortable after 1 hour doing the guided tour and the castle guide suggested a pub for lunch instead of eating at the castle cafeteria. We went to the one he suggested, warmed up and returned to see the rest of the castle. When we attempted to re-enter the castle, we were told that our “pass” entitled us to ONE visit to any of the sites. We explained the NO ONE had described this limit on the pass. She then went to page 3 of the pass and showed us the fine print. We were then told even though NO ONE had warned of this limitation on the pass, that if we wanted to go into the castle after our lunch break, we “could buy another ticket”. We decided not to be ugly Americans and left after letting them know we thought it was quite unfair.

Best Day Ever. I had the privilege of being on this fabulous tour. Brett was prompt at my AM pick up and he was super kind enough to drive to Port Douglas to do so! He was fantastic at informing us about all the amazing flora and fauna and the amazing landscape of the Tablelands. We had a small group so it was good to get chatting and getting to know each other which I appreciated as a solo traveller. I wont go into detail about the tour because its detailed on his website but please know that I can’t stop telling everyone I am meeting on my travels about this wonderful day out, the excellent food and drink and the growers and owners who are so passionate about the area, their products and our environment. Top quality products, top quality tour! Thank you so much Brett as your tour will stay in my memory for a very long time. A must do if you are in the area!! Amazing tour and I highly recommend, Thank you so much Brett and Team.

Could be Better. Several flaws that should be fixed for smartphones and some for pcs. Major flaw is adding quick bites to eating establishments. There are no rules on this and restaurants are changed to quick-bites because of someone’s answer etc. By doing this, they are no longer listed as restaurants. Major problem is if you are looking for a great place to eat, TA searches restaurants by default!!! Guess what? The favorite eating place you are looking for doesn’t show up because it is quick-bites. The only way around this is going through several filtering screens and click restaurants and quik-bites when doing a search. I didn’t find this for 6 months and always missed great restaurants. These restaurants missed had order at the counter, bring out your food and refill drinks sometimes but were called qb. I even ran across places that took your order at the table but were labeled qb. TA please fix this and have an easy to find suggestions area to alert you to these problems and many more with feedback given to reporters.

Now Sapphire. Where should I begin ? Our second attempt for my daughters (#DrumSobodos) wedding was still filled with anxiety of traveling with 70 people during a pandemic. All of the staff of Now Sapphire put us at ease from the moment we arrived, until the day we left . It was well organized, with special precautions that made it easy for breakfast , lunch & Dinner . The staff was exceptional ! Everyone took great care of our wedding guests. The welcome Party was above and beyond what we expected . Denise the wedding planner did an Amazing job ! The wedding was absolutely spectacular. We could not have asked for a more perfect night ! Kudos to all the waiters , bartenders , room service , entertainment staff . And always those seaweed removing guys who were up before dawn ! Eduardo ( breakfast ) was the highlight of our morning . But there were many who also went above & beyond, Israel , Poncho , Manuel , Jaime , Christall , Ricardo ( lemongrass) Fredrico , Giovanni , Jose ( reef ) Pedro (Hibachi) Julian , Ismail & Eduardo ( wine Cellar ) . We have traveled to many places , but nobody can compare to the staff at the Now Sapphire. Thank-you !

The ratings they give to those who review is a scam!. I have submitted nearly 100 reviews over the years which I have enjoyed doing but what bothers me is the “rewards” and badges given to those who review and the badgering they do to lure you into making more reviews to be “the top reviewer in your area”. Or, “you are 2 reviews away from receiving Photographer status”, etc!!!!! I write reviews in order to share my excitement or dissatisfaction with a place of service. The place has to be pretty bad for me to complain- the businesses we review can make or break someone’s business.... that’s a serious responsibility. I take re Jewish g seriously. My reason for 2 stars for Trip Advisor is the giving of rewards for which nothing is actually given. It’s enough reward for me to be able to help a fellow traveler but be straight with your reviewers. If you award “trophies” at least back them up with a small discount on a hotel, or a meal, etc! I am a member of many rewards clubs for gasoline, restaurants, or shopping venues. These are great perks and command my loyalty. Wouldn’t that be nice if Trip Advisor extended this appreciation to its reviewers? Just saying........😁

3 in 1 Tulum, Snorkeling, cenote/cave expedition in Cancun. What an amazing experience! Our guides Pepe and Juan picked my so and I up at our resort on time and they were very attentive to the group. They had snacks and water available for us as it was going to be 8 hours before we got to eat lunch. They were very knowledgeable with the history of the Talum Ruins and they made us laugh during this tour. They knew all of our names and took time to take pictures for us too. They were experienced snorkeler and made sure we were all safe. Pepe and Juan made the tour of the cenote and caves so amazing! The lunch was at the cenote site and was fairly good but it was the company of the people in the group that made the lunch so enjoyable. By the end of the day the group became a mini family and we bonded with each other and to our guides. It truly was sad to leave them all and I will remember each member of our group forever!!! Thank you Pepe and Juan!!!

Navigation!?. This app has a wealth of information. However it can be quite frustrating to locate that which you need to know. For example, I tried to find information on the multiple parking facilities a t Guadalajara Airport. It wasn’t apparent, other than a few reviews mentioning parking at a couple hotels. Then, when using the search function, it kept taking me to an “airport west”, that seemed to be far away (New Zealand?). Still not convinced parking the info wasn’t there, just I couldn’t find it. A pet peeve - why does the app keep asking for access to my location? I wasn’t looking for something near me, nor can I remember using it for something near me. While I’ve been to this location, I’m not there now., and I’m perfectly happy to enter the location of interest. Are they selling location data? That would be a privacy violation in my view.

Bed bug-bites in room 1808. Everything was great, but I just couldn’t figure out if it was mosquitos that were enjoying our skin. Stayed aug 15-22, 2021 arrived back home and washed everything in hot water and our luggage is sitting outside for further disinfecting. Called the hotel to inform them of this incident. They wanted to know why I hadnt complained earlier. I told them that I had never experienced anything like this in my life, but that on Saturday night I woke up due to the biting and realized it wasn’t mosquitos but bed bugs. We were checking out Sunday morning early and wasn’t going to miss flight when I knew I could report this on my return. I was advised that they would do their internal investigation and call me. It’s Mexico so I’m sure that I won’t be hearing back from them. Just an FYI there are bed bugs in room 1808 at las Brisas Ixtapa. Everything was perfect except for this incident.

Viking Cruise Venice to Athens. What a remarkable 10 days. It was our first Viking Cruise and it was wonderful. The team that puts together the off ship tours is truly 5 star. The advertising on PBS is spot on. You really do have magical moments with the people of the country you are visiting. It is special and intimate. We had an operatic performance in a villa in Venice. The owner welcomed us to his family home of 700 years and served Prosecco from his vineyards. The performance of famous arias and duets was worthy of The Met. Bravo Don’t miss a day of touring they were all equally spectacular. Food off the ship is much better than on. The Italian Resturant was good. The Chefs table, poor. How many ways can you steam cod? How many courses can you embellish with “espoma “? I guess the answer is unlimited. Our Jr Suite was very spacious and the perk we especially used was free laundry and dry cleaning. The free mini bar was so so as it had lower quality liquor offerings. The crew was fabulous. Very kind and attentive. We look forward to our next Viking Cruise as the tours run seemlessly and are high quality.

A day for me in the air on China Eastern Airlines. Ilana and I were so excited about our first trip to Asia. Thailand and Cambodia were a dream we’ve had for what seems to be forever. But truthfully I was dreading the long flight. The longest part was from JFK to Bangkok and I imagined us getting there and losing another day sleeping off the jet lag. So we booked our travel in business class for the first time. It was a delight. The service was excellent. From the moment we checked in. Their lounge at the airport was very comfortable. The food on the plane was beautifully prepared and served and the lay flat beds were amazing. We slept 11 of the 14+hours to Shanghai and after a short layover we were on our way again for the final part of our trip. We arrived fresh and ready to tour an exciting city. And it was a pretty good deal cost wise as well compared to the price we got for business class on other airlines. Over all, a great start to our 2 weeks in Asia.

This is “legal” scam now!?. I just changed phone and was trying to open TripAdvisor in my new one and just realize this craziness.... be aware... it doesn’t sound correct or even legal (but I guess that if the ask persuasion and we, the users, granted, then is on us.... one of the options to signing into TripAdvisor is using my google email/account... TripAdvisor request me roc ALLOW them to be able “to see and download all my google accounts emails addresses”!!!!! What is that!!! How is that to use an app about things to do or where to eat in any given area I need to pay that service with my privacy and the Privacy of the people that emails me!!!!!? Be aware! We all are used to the “scroll down and agree” and select box and agree to be able to use most accounts and apps now day... must of the times are about fair use of apps and legal reasons..some other times is about allowing the apps to use our location and maybe cameras and being able to storage photos in our devices.... so we go ahead and click allow or agree just because we are so used to trust as no other way to get around or as part of the process... but what TripAdvisor is doing asking permission to see and download our private info... doesn’t sound right!! At all!!!

Location. Upon first call to the hotel, the reception is fantastic, very upbeat and welcoming by Kay the day person. A real jewel. Took the time to answer all of my questions about the location & was very knowledgable. Set my expectation to a realistic value, as described. The Lobby area had mirrors & seating. Check in was fairly simple. Green Wristband was given to allow you to use the pool & hottub area without being stopped. Parking Pass was given so cars not towed. Hold on card equal to cost of room, even thou room was paid for in advance on their Road Inn Website (essentially Booked direct). Room was fairly good size with balcony that had thick glass so once closed you could not hear ocean waves or the music next door as room was partial view looking towards the gulf. It did have a refrigerator & two burner stove top along with cooking utensils. No dish soap at that time but later found they do have it available at front desk. The pool is not heated so most went in the hot tub. This was more of a place to sleep then amenities & location to the trolly/bus stop which was about 400 ft away. The night desk attendant Diane was very professional as well. Overall felt safe. Some of the Guests were locals & seemed to smoke alot of pot on their balconies which gave the sketchy vibe. You will need your room key to enter back in from parking lot. If you are looking for place to sleep, the beds are good, pillows are good, sheets are clean. The hotel is dated but functional.

I found many people to be rude for no reason. I suggest looking elsewhere and honestly reddit is much more helpful. I posted a couple things, but they were simple questions about atms. People then told me I should research and soon I would be asking about shootings where I am staying? I don’t get how I can be so stupid for simply asking about the atms and which ones to use because people’s cards were being read and used in Indonesia. I then went on to read multiple reviews and I was really taken back by how many unnecessarily rude people are on there. Some people on there do ask naive questions, but the point of the app is to help people. Anytime I told someone they were being rude my comment was deleted by the staff. I’m not sure why because I never cursed I just told the people they were being unnecessarily rude and pretentious. But maybe pretentious was taken as not following their guidelines? Because technically I called them a name? Not sure. Anyways besides people being not very helpful I also found reviews to be lacking. There are so many spots I went to in Puerto Escondido that were amazing and not mentioned. So I would suggest speaking to locals wherever you go. Trip advisor may be helpful to some, but honestly I think reddit is much better. I thought Yelp was bad, but this app and it’s staff are in no way helpful.

Bill’s Front Porch. Hidden Gem in Wilmington especially when you get to see and hear Folkstone Stringband! Lucky enough to be at Bill’s Front Porch when they had live music with a phenomenal Bluegrass Band named Folkstone Stringband! Beers are housemade and the new “Christmas Pants” is smooth and not too sharp. With the romaine lettuce scare, salads are a little slack but still delicious 🍁 quesadilla s are delicious especially the brisket. Their cheese dip is house made but is a little floury not cheesy enough . The craft brews are great with a variety of taste experiences. From the sharp citrus based IPA’s to the smooth new Christmas brew called “Christmas Pants”. By far the smoothest of all the craft brews Bill’s makes. Two members of the waitstaff are the best I’ve encountered. Lindsey and Sandy are some of the best waitstaff I have had. Attentive and on top of everything. Ask for them, you won’t be sorry. They are great!!! Overall Bills is a great eating and drinking establishment, Good food and beverage, but add the great music of Folkstone Stringband and you have a winning combination!

Used to be great, now almost useless. Trip Advisor used to be awesome for exploring for things to do in an area we were visiting as a family. I found so many great attractions, outdoor sightseeing locations, tours, etc over our years of travel. Searching in the map view and browsing lists was easy and productive on an iPad, actually much better than their website. I was shocked to find that the interface has now been redesigned in a way that makes the app terrible for finding what I need. I’m literally at a loss as to how I’m going to search for things to do on our upcoming vacation because I’m having so much trouble finding the information I want. Note to developers, using blocks to display info is horrible UX design when trying to browse long lists. It seems that the app has been redesigned not with the user in mind, but for some other goal, maybe highlighting those things that will bring in more $$ for Trip Advisor. Weirdly, the App Store ratings are also worthless for this app because almost none of the recent good ratings are about the app. Instead it is a bunch of ratings of businesses people presumably found via Trip Advisor. The ratings of the app itself appear to be substantially lower. Is Trip Advisor doing something to encourage this user behavior in order to obscure their poor ratings? Very sad if true.

Love it for business and personal trips!. I travel quite a bit for business and even more for pleasure and this app is perfect for both. On business trips, I can put in the city I’m visiting and when I’m going and it gives me restaurants options and the most popular things to do. I can read reviews from other helpful travelers that give me thing to looks out for and best times to go places. When I travel for pleasure, I start with Trip Advisor. I get a destination in mind and save hotels/vacation homes, activities and transportation info to the trip and have it all planned out before I book. I also use the app for planning with others. I planned a girls trip to Jamaica with my friends and was able to send them the details to review before we booked. I was able to book a lake house in NC for a Thanksgiving dinner my family is planning this year. I think the next step for the app is allowing splitting of payments for different things or allowing multiple payers. Also being able to joint plan a trip would be nice. Overall though I have no complaints about the app and love using it. I love leaving reviews for places I’ve been an helping other fellow travelers.

Gundersen’s Thanks!. After quite a few hours ride from the south of the State of WI. we were pleasantly surprised to arrive at this location for our few days stay in LaCrosse…. Recommended by staff nearby in the Viterbo area and FSC, we are definitely grateful to have become acquainted with this beautiful place, welcoming staff and great location. Amenities include very nice rooms, breakfast, parking & outdoor walking areas. Staff wearing masks was definitely a plus as we were looking to be as safe, comfortable and well as possible. Very clean place and extremely pleasant rooms and beds. Our only complaints, incorrect billing info and repeated attempts to get a correction from 2 desk members and 4-6 calls for assistance thereafter? There’s an allowance for pets here, which is not a problem for us…however leaving big and or small dogs alone in a room to bark persistently, scratch about doors and floors as well as ramble around noisily frequently for 45-60 minutes and more is unacceptable for us and many people!!! With many people trying to rest and enjoy time together, watch television, or talk with visiting guests it was difficult to get help from the front desk to rectify this annoying problem??? Thanks to Heather on the second shift 4 days later & one last call, we were assured the corrected billing statement was on its way! We are still on the list as return customers… thanks again. Love this app but use improvements. I use this app almost every time we go to a new city to find what food is good and where to eat. That being said there are some improvements I would like to see. 1. For vegetarians and vegans the app can be a little difficult to navigate. One change I would like to see is in phrasing and searching filters. There is a difference between vegetarian/ vegan restaraunts and a restaurant having vegan/vegetarian options. The app currently does not show the difference which can be vexing. 2. Another change I would like to see is in the search. Often times i go on here to find food between point a and point b but currently there is not a way to search along that route or slightly off from it. Yes you can go through each address and see but for tourists this can be difficult and additional time to your task. It’s a good time to mention that even if these changes don’t occur I will keep using the app but it would be nice to see a change to help support those of us with different diets. And not just non-meat eaters but, gluten free eaters, paleo people or even those that have a lot of allergies to food such as nuts, milk, eggs and more.

Very useful for travel. I like access to menus when looking for restaurants and if the place requires me to sign in to Facebook, I will NOT. Some people don’t even use it and there are many warnings not to sign in to FB except to use it. Restaurants should be advised they may be losing business because of this. Having the menu link on the Trip Advisor is best, but a link to the website is ok. Many domains are for sale which makes one question if they are still in business. If a place does go out of business, they should let TA know. The more details given for a hotel, restaurant or attraction, the better, but information should be up to date. Hours open, price and directions are helpful. I appreciate when a hotel listing shows restaurants nearby. Trip Advisor should be aware if they stop advertising or boycott a place or TV program, they run the risk of losing customers—maybe more than they gain. Stick to travel and stay out of politics.

Love The App Except . . .. One of the best Travel Apps available, with access to helpful reviews to help make better destination decisions. And because reasonable reviews help us make travel decisions, we also like to post solid reviews that might assist others. The one real difficulty with the Trip Advisor App is posting photos to reviews, even one’s own reviews. It seems that even when following Trip Advisor’s own HOW-TO directions, it is difficult to successfully add photos. Either the app wants access to all (thousands) of the photos on our devices, or using the “Profile/Intro/Upload The Photo/Add a Location Tag” method allows the app to see only the few photos in the “Camera Roll” and “My Photo Stream” folders, but will not allow access any of the specific “Albums” on our phone or tablet where individual trip photos are stored. If it wasn’t for the photo posting obstacle, the app would get 5 stars. It would be great if a simpler and more straightforward method was available for adding photos. Thanks very much.

It’s a very useful app but has some flaws. I can’t leave home without it as it helps bring the world to me. Reviews and recommendations are typically spot on. However, it can be a bit clumsy when it comes to searching. I put in day trips/tours in Dar es Salaam and I keep getting safari results for 3-15 days. Not sure what part of “day” the app does not understand. Also, I booked a trip that has not existed for about a year and was none refundable. When I tried to cancel on the app, it warned me that I would lose 100% of the cost. I reached out to the tour operator via WhatsApp and fortunately, they were gracious enough to inform me that they no longer do that tour and will fully refund. TripAdvisor needs to stay on top of operational tours. Finally, whenever I book a tour through TripAdvisor, things generally go smoothly except for when they don’t. The reply button to the tour operator contained within the confirmation email seldom works. All in all, I enjoy using this app as my go to travel companion. I don’t even need to research ahead of time (I know, lazy right? ;) and the idea that I can travel on the fly and have TripAdvisor app do all the legwork is ever so appealing. It would have been 5 star but for all the issues listed above!

Bermuda is open!. Wonderful golf and restaurants this time of year. Perfect weather. A little chilly for beach swimming unless you are used to NY/NE water temps in Summer (67). The Health Dept has a solid handle on covid testing. And they are very efficient about returning results within 24 hours. Usually 12 and can be as short as 8. The tests are pre arrival, upon arrival, day 4, day 8 and day 14. Paper bracelet identifies you as a recent traveler but also acts as a reminder to follow safety requirements. Though no indoor dining until after Day 4 results, there are plenty of restaurants with outdoor seating with heaters even though the nighttime temp in Dec and Jan is around 68. It’s not like a sidewalk in Manhattan with a temp of 32. Pleasantly surprised and delighted with the ease of traveling here. Probably not worth it for a long weekend. Definitely worth it for a week or longer. Frankly you need a week to get to some of the many things to do. Recommend it highly.

WHY keep changing things????. I knew it was a mistake to click on “update” without waiting a few days to read the reviews - which I was sure would be terrible - because they just keep on changing things and making it worse for NO REASON!! I can’t understand why they think ANY of the recent changes are improvements - they moved things around AGAIN so it’s unfamiliar! Nothing on the home page is relevant. Can’t even FIND MY OWN reviews now! Why is everything so HUGE? They’re wasting space & making me scroll way too much… This is the FIFTH time I’ve updated this review in 30 minutes - every time I try to do something I keep finding more horrendous changes. Are they honestly going to make me click on “read more” for EVERY single review? OMG!!! Now instead of just having 2 search lines so I can type in the name of what I want to see and the location directly below it, it I have to click on something else to get the location box to show up so I can type it - an UNNECESSARY EXTRA step! Then, there are multiple restaurants with the same name in this city, and you don’t show me the address anymore, they all just say the city, so I have NO IDEA which one is correct!! They have absolutely destroyed what used to be a helpful trip planning app & it’s just awful now. I’ve never used yelp but it’s time to consider it... Did the people who created this ridiculous redesign ever try to actually use the app before they released this crap to the general public?

Love the app, however.... I have used the Trip Advisor app for years and found it to be very helpful. However, in this era of stored data abuses, I find it annoying that I can not erase my recent search history. Some will argue why this is an issue so I will share an issue that a co-worker had with the Trip Advisor app. My co-worker was planning on surprising his wife with a romantic mid-week trip at an oceanfront resort 40 miles from his home. He used Trip Advisor to find the best accommodations available. He has the Trip Advisor app on both his iPhone and iPad. After determining that this type of trip wasn’t in his budget, he decided to wait and save a little bit of money each week. Well, sometime later, his wife was using the iPad and Trip Advisor to research a restaurant in the area for a family dinner. While she was in the app, she noticed his history. She was also noticing that he was taking money from their savings account (money he was saving for their romantic weekend.) Anyhow, my co-workers wife’s man hating sister had her convinced that he was having an affair. No need to keep going on this story as I am sure you all get it. Once Trip Advisor allows search history to be deleted, I will amend my 2 star rating.

Prom pics at the Benson. We have stayed at the Benson several times when downtown for events. This weekend was prom and we had plans to take pics at the Japanese Gardens. Unfortunately Oregon had other ideas. In a panic to come up with a dry option for pics I remembered the lovely lobby of the Benson. The valet was sweet and agreed to keep the Jeep up front so the kids didn’t have to park and walk through the rain to get to the lobby. The staff watched for 20 minutes while we captured their wonderful prom in photos before a manager stomped up to inform us that if we weren’t paying for an event we weren’t allowed to take pics in their lobby in order to preserve the “reputation of the Benson”. I thanked him and explained the rain caused us to scramble for an appropriate indoor venue for prom pics. I know the floor staff knew policy and yet allowed the kids this wonderful opportunity. Thank you Benson Hotel. The pics were gorgeous and the kids were thrilled.

MAGAZINE STREET FOOD TOUR-New Orleans Secrets. If I could give "INFINITE" Stars I would!!! AWESOME, THE BEST, ENLIGHTENING, DELICIOUS FOOD (The Vintage, Joey K's, Basin Seafood & Spirits, Dat Dog, Mahony's Po-Boy Shop) MOST PREPARED, KNOWLEDGEABLE/FRIENDLY/ENGAGING/FUN Tour Guide, Mr. Roger Magee II who also graced us with a tour/introduction to the Phenomenal/Breathtaking Art Work of Mr. Terrance Osborne while we took a break from EATING; this is truly a "FOOD" and not a tasting tour, we needed it because at this point, we were EDUCATED,HAPPY & FULL!!! Huff House Inn and Cabins. Can’t say enough nice things about this inn. It is one of the best places we have stayed in this or any other country. From the start, the communication was excellent. The staff worked around our schedule to accommodate us. The main building in the inn is historic and charming and the staff is courteous and helpful and always ready to make things as comfortable as possible. The breakfasts are generous and delicious. There are fresh baked cookies every afternoon. We asked to keep wine in the kitchen refrigerator and the answer was “of course.”. We also stayed in the hotel building, where the rooms were large, comfortable and equipped with refrigerators, microwaves and gas fireplaces. The grounds are lovely and have several sitting areas as well as two hot tubs. There is a guest laundry facility that really came in handy. The manager on duty when we were there was Jeremy and he sets a highly professional but also welcoming tone for every guest. We would happily return to Huff House any time.

Staff are such sweethearts at the Hyatt Monterey Spa and Resort. I wrote a glowing review already. But I didn’t mention two more very worthy points. At admission- they make life so easy. I had Chris at the front desk. He was caring and took the time to answer all my questions. Also Whitney at front desk went out of her way to look after guests. The check in and check out was easy. I had delicious meals at the restaurants here, both at the resort, and in downtown Monterey. Don’t forget, the most exotic choices are available at a stone’s throw in cute Carmel. At the resort- They take a lot of trouble to avoid plastic bottles; but they over use plastic glasses. SHOULD BE AVOIDED!!!! A very wonderful feature is a lighted bed. When you walk near the bed, there’s a safety light. This will save you from stumbling in the night. All in all - a wonderful experience- good location too. Pl do visit the amazing Monterey Aquarium. Thanks Hyatt 🌺🌺🌺🌺

Good place fro family. I have stayed at this particular RIU twice now and have stayed at others in Jamaica; this was more fun in 2018 when they had a club on site and foam party. They have renovated now, and the property is better, but it seems the food has gotten worse and entertainment not as good. I would recommend RIU Negril, the more expensive one, since they have two; this will give you access to both properties since only one has a good pool. RIU Ocho Rios has an adult pool with a swim-up bar, but it’s a bunch of kids in it splashing water in your drink and some teenagers at the bar drinking alcohol. If you want a family place that you can have fun in, this is it; if you are not looking to be around many kids, avoid it. This property is very clean, and they keep it that way; I did not feel as harassed by local salespeople as I did the last time. The staff was friendly for the most part. There is no AC in the elevators, and the bottles of alcohol that were standard in the room have been removed. The gym is relatively small. I would rate this place a 7 out of 10. It’s a decent resort overall.

Wonderful day at Mt Etna. Have just got back from a fabulous 6 hour round trip of Mt Etna. , booked with Mt Etna. My husband and I were picked up from our hotel on time in 4 wd by Salvo who was our tour guide for the day. His English was perfect and he lived locally so we were able to drive through his village. Salvo had not only incredible geological knowledge but new all about the entire region . After visiting Mt Etna we stopped by the side of the road and Salvo showed us into an unground cave. We also visited a honey farm were we did taste testing.. yummy. It was a fabulous day a real must do if you’re in Catania. Thanks Salvo for making such a great day for us. Brian and Jenny

Cycling tour Saigon to Siem Reap. Just completed a 11 day 10 night cycling tour from Saigon to Siem Reap. The tour operator was Tour Radar and the local operator was Indotrek. Overall the tour was average at best. Accommodation was well below acceptable especially for what you pay. Most beds were so hard you could not sleep even after a tough 70km ride. The places we stayed at were small towns with virtually nothing to see. Getting a massage was almost impossible. Aside from Saigon and Siem Reap you could skip the rest. A number of tour features like the boat ride to Siem Reap wasn’t available and while this was known to the operators we were only told the day before so we had to endure a 7 hour car ride on roads unfit to drive on. No way could you even attempt to sleep as the roads were so bumpy. Scenery was poor at best with only a couple of interesting sites over the 9 days riding. Guides did their best to make it interesting but they had very little to work with. Bikes were also fairly old. I would not recommend this tour or this company to anyone. Amsterdam to Budapest river cruise. Last month we travelled on the Amaverde ship from Amsterdam to Budapest. We travelled with APT and will definitely travel with them on our next trip. Staff on the ship went out of their way to look after us and everyone on board. The cruise was well organised and the excursions were very efficiently run with such knowledgeable guides to provide us with a wealth of information. If I could remember a quarter of it I would be doing well. The food was outstanding and the service and hospitality was fabulous. Entertainment provided was good also. Everyone was catered for. The level of care for a few passengers who had ailments was beyond the call of duty for the staff member who looked after them. There was so much to see and do at each port of call that made it a trip to be remembered. At the conclusion of our journey we went over the whole trip and decided we could not fault them on any aspect. If you want to be looked after like a prince and princess they are the company to travel with.

Essential for a successful trip. I ALWAYS use TripAdvisor to search for both accommodation and attractions. It’s the best App to find the best deal and to get REAL reviews. A couple of points: When looking at reviews, take the spectrum of good-bad into account (There’s always some whiney person who doesn’t like the colour of the plates or something. Do the good reviews outweigh the bad? Which reviews- good/bad- are more recent?). When searching accommodation, select Filters and By Ranking, so you get the accommodation that gets the most positive reviews, not the “cheapest”. We’ve found some amazing, fave accommodation this way. Wish the affiliate vendors (Booking, Agoda, etc.) would have better descriptions (what is a “double bed” vs “large double bed”? Is it a Queen? King?). But overall, this is the perfect App.

Somethings I struggle in app. The app is made really well but there are things which I struggle with. It does not give provision of editing reviews. Also sometimes the owner of restaurant replies inaccurately yo hide their faults, I have nowhere to reply or tell other people that this answer is not genuine. I cannot copy text from my own review and doesn’t show me any place of how many reviews to add to go to next level! Also you could add a feature of displaying places on map that one has reviewed to see an overall perspective and also it will help in finding my places easily. Sometimes I donot recall the name of the place I had gone to and its so difficult to find it in reviews, so it might be a good feature of app to find which places you have been and maybe sort according to month as well.

Great, but let’s make it better. Obviously I love the TripAdvisor app or I wouldn’t have written more than 150 reviews to date. Infact the app relies on folks like me giving unbiased advice to patrons and feedback to proprietors so everyone gets something useful out of it. So what’s in it for me apart from the warm glow? Well, how about information? With all the analytics around nowadays you’d think some anonymised stats about who is reading, for how long, what they did while they were there and afterwards (booked, wrote their own review, etc), demographics, was the proprietor one of them, etc. would be a good start. C’mon TripAdvisor, we know you have this data at your fingertips, so how about letting your collaborators in on it? One more thing; reviewers like me ought to be treated like the restaurant reviewers of old, ie. recognised at the point of booking, and treated decently when we turn up. I’m happy to acknowledge this in the review, if I write one. You figure out how to make it happen. Thanks.

Trip Advisor owned Viator- Zero Accountability for system failures. We booked a “ Barron River Half-Day White Water Rafting from Cairns” experience through Trip Advisor owned Viator and received a full confirmation and tickets on email. On the day of the experience we found out that the service provider never got a request from Viator and could not accommodate us as they were all booked out. I called Viator and they said their system may not have been synced with the service provider’s system and there is nothing they could do except issuing a refund. Seriously?! For such an establishment tour organiser, such a juvenile response and no accountability for system failure? I was hoping for a bit more accountability and compensation for ruining a day of my trip. We have booked through Viator and Trip Adviser on several occasions but will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Disappointed!

Grandma Hometown Tours. A truely unique way to get to meet and see how locals live in Hoi An. Moon our tour guide is a very passionate and proud local supporting the people who welcome her guests into their homes. Moon has an extensive knowledge of the customs and traditions of the local people. You will enjoy meandering through the countryside stopping along the journey to experience being a part of their way of life. A very different way to see Hoi An with that little personal touch, no hustle and bustle you would experience with larger tour companies. I would highly recommend to go with Moon as she journeys around the villages and gives you a different experience you will never forget.

Great for research. Great App! I use this app for researching areas and hotels, using actual traveller reviews to gauge hotels etc. I would give it 5 stars however I find a couple of things a little annoying. If I'm planning a trip, each city would have different dates but I have to keep changing it. Plus when I receive emails with updates on prices I often get a different deal on the app itself or a blank page. One more thing about hotels, when using the filter can "parking" be included on the filter? At the moment it has " Free Parking" which is good however many hotels have parking available at a nightly rate. That said the forums are great to get other travellers advise. The app is also great for researching things to do in each area.

Green Island Chinese haven. Sadly this lovely Island is over run by pushing shoving shouting Chinese people all day long they are the day trippers. As a guest you can only enjoy the Island when the hoards of Chinese leave at 4.30. The Island is lovely and quiet then and you can enjoy it as it should be enjoyed. There is no area on the beach exclusively for guests and the noise is awful. The beach chairs are very uncomfortable and loud shouting day trippers are everywhere. The guest pool area is the only place to escape the hoards of day trippers. Do not stay more than two nights as the long day of day trippers is difficult to get through. The rooms are lovely and the restaurant is fantastic for FNQ. It is great to come to but More care for paying overnight guests should be given. Loud shouting children in guest areas should be reminded that they are not the only ones staying at the Island. This is a better resort staff wise they took great care in making our stay special and it is of international Standard. The rooms are excellent and clean with no mould. Beds are ok but pillows could be better. Resturant staff were kind and considerate but obviously a bit sick of their jobs. Sadly the money comes from the masses of overseas tourists so if you want a peaceful holiday this is not the place.

Naxos town food people and heritage tour. Today we had a sensational tour with our guide Katia. We began our tour at “The Gate” overlooking the see and full of history. Following this we had a tour through the old town which included historical buildings and food and wine tastings along the way finishing with a delicious traditional Greek lunch. The entire experience had been extremely well planned and was tailored for us. We can thoroughly recommend Katia as a guide as she has in-depth knowledge of the history but also connected to the best places to eat in the town. Thanh you Katia for our day in Naxos town.

Useful. Having the mobile app is a godsend. That little blue dot that shows where we are is invaluable. Love being able to look up all the info that we need plus being able to ask questions and get answers to travel questions is amazing. Thanks Not sure of the new format though..I cannot navigate this stupid site anymore.. when is the travel map? How can I find all my reviews from a certain place, from years ago without having to scroll through for ages.. this it appalling and the help site is useless.. Cannot stand all the features of the new format. There is stuff floating around at the bottom of my page when I’m just trying to look up things. If I wanted to look at a review that I had done a year ago in a specific town I can’t find it unless I scroll right through the whole thing which is just stupid. You can’t seem to be able to look at other people‘s profiles. Just hate hate hate this, Please get it back to the way it was

Ipswich Hospital Museum. We visited this wonderful museum with a group of ladies, most of whom had grown up in Ipswich and intimately knew the hospital and its surrounds. This museum is quite new and situated in the old nurses quarters behind the emergency area where the ambulances congregate. We had two volunteer ladies tell us about the history of the place and relate some amusing and interesting stories of the early staff when the hospital opened in 1862. The museum is open to the public on Wednesdays from 9 to 12 or by appointment. It houses a plethora of old instruments and artefacts from that era. Definitely worth a visit if you have an interest in things medical. There is even a small cafe where you can grab a really good coffee or snack. The building itself is quite beautiful decorated with wrought iron lace.

Jetstar Adelaide to Bali return. There’s nothing to recommend the Jetstar service on this route. I was on 21 D on the way back. It was on time. Maybe that’s it. So- the seat- I didn’t realise that a clean environment and a seat with some padding was extra. Like food is extra. The last customer’s tissue was stuck on the dirty tray. The staff were mainly rude. They were brusque. They couldn’t have cared less to be honest. Every time the woman behind me moved I could feel her knees as there was NO padding on my back at all. None. I didn’t have a place to put my book as there was no pocket to place it in. On arrival in Bali there was no air bridge. We had to negotiate the stairs and no one gave a toss about our safety. I have two painful shoulders and was unable to hang onto the strap overhead. Impossible. No seat. I’m now in the over 60 age group. No one was happy. We were squashed in like sardines. It wasn’t safe. Then on the way home I refused to get in the bus out to the plane til my friend who had a hip replacement and myself, with bad shoulders, had a seat. So once again this is the only direct flight we can take . A poor woman and husband crossed the tarmac, negotiated the bus and managed to go up the steps, again with no help, carrying a sleeping baby, a sleeping toddler. Their 2 other beautiful boys carried the luggage, the passports and papers. I’m furious. Time for Jetstar to lift their game. This is completely unacceptable.

We loved our Kyoto cycling tour our guide João was the best!. My daughter and I took the Kyoto cycling tour last week -it was the highlight of our trip! Our guide João Nabais spoke perfect English and was so knowledgeable. He really looked after us and made sure we felt comfortable and safe at all times. The ride was fairly easy not too many hills .. and lots of stops for water etc. we visited shrines and temples and actually ride the Philosophers Path which was so special. We also loved riding along beside the river and canals-flat and scenic. We covered so much ground and learnt so much on this tour. We loved the ice cream stop too! João chatted away the whole time and was incredibly friendly and relaxed . I have already recommended this tour to friends who have plans to visit. 🚴‍♀️⛩💙👘🎏

Excellent App and easy to use on phone or tablet.. The App is very user friendly and makes adding reviews or searching for reviews very simple.I have found on some occasions trying to select a radio button was very difficult but that was the only tiny issue. It amazes me that when reading reviews for this App you find users reviewing restaurants and hotels and everything BUT the App!!! You possibly begin to understand why some reviews are bad when you have a good experience at the same place. If the reviewer has no clue at all what they are doing and they are reviewing a hotel in the App review area in iTunes things start to become clear. You need a way of filtering out the users with double digit IQ’s :)

Great value and service. This was our first stay in Canggu. We chose the Kirana due to its location and that it’s a smaller hotel. So glad we did! A deluxe ocean view room had a lovely bathroom with twin vanities, big shower and enormous bath. Also a nice big room, comfortable bed and balcony overlooking the construction (a fact of life in Bali and the developing areas)but also the ocean in the distance. Next door to our room was the beautiful spa (also great value) with lovely therapists. Breakfast was a lovely change from the enormous buffets of other hotels with choices of American, continental or Indonesian styles. Delicious, with variety and presented with flair. The location is within walking distance of the beach and good food and shopping. The only reason I’m not giving 5 star is that the pillows were a bit squishy for me and others may not like the noise of surrounding construction. We will be back.

Fairmont Day Spa. It’s day like today that leave me dreaming of returning to the Fairmont Hotel in Sanur Bali. Food is exceptional (especially the breakfast) hotel staff extremely polite, after 4 stays over 5 years they feel like family. None more than Kadek Paitri that runs the lobby lounge & Wayan Warati that runs the day spa. Both women are exceptional at their jobs & make the experience breath taking. The massage (s) I have received were heavenly (second to none the best massage I have ever had) all treatments were outstanding & a clear 5 out of 5. It personally left me with a sense of spiritual awaking, feeling refreshed, completely relaxed & rejuvenated (one of the most stunning places on earth) with gratitude, Katie Burt x

10 Day Stay. I recently visited Singapore as a birthday vacay and stayed at The Furama City Centre. I have very mixed feelings about these premises. When you first walk in you see the multi coloured rug & staircase as shown in all pictures but this needs to be replaced or regular cleaning as it has many stains on it. Once you enter the Lobby, which is either granite or marble, and looks impressive, you then see dirty stained lounge chairs. I stayed on Level 20 & had access to the Executive Lounge & was very reasonably charged for room & lounge(superb staff, see separate review). Upon arrival we were informed renovations were being done to the facade, but the interior is in need of major works. Dirty walls, badly stained carpets in serious need of a fresh paint. Level 6, area to pool, gymnasium & laundry has the most horrid smell every time you enter that floor. Like severe water damage odour. Pool area has lounge chairs to use but lacks appeal. Bonus with this hotel is that it’s within walking distance to the hustle & bustle of Chinatown as it is located right amongst it. Close to several Hawker Market Stalls for those wanting cheaper meals. A two minute walk has you right at the MRT station, the perfect way to travel Singapore. I hope they do upgrade the interior as there are many options o

Great leisure app. TripAdvisor does a lot of things well. It’s a review site for holidaymakers or people looking for something fun to do around where they are. The app has an easy interface for people looking to research things to do around where they are. It’s “top 10 lists” are easy to scan through. You can submit reviews directly in the app, send your photos as well. They seem to list almost every business that’s worth going to - i can’t recall not being able to find a place I’ve been to, that wasn’t listed on their site. The reviews are reliable, with high ranking places usually being worth the hype.

Metropol Hotel Bukit Bintang KL. We have stayed here before but unfortunately we were not as happy with it this time. Only one towel when we arrived, no teabags the whole time, toilet paper not replaced when they cleaned the room and I had to ask twice before I got some. When it was brought up they only bought up a half roll so obviously from a checkout. Only the towels were replaced in the bathroom, it didn’t get cleaned the whole time we were there. 3 nights. The bathroom light switch didn’t work. Obviously they do not have a supervisor to check the house keeping and no one checks that everything works. We were in the double deluxe room 120 myr a night. So we don’t expect the Hilton but we do expect clean. Unfortunately I think this hotel will fall into disrepair as many Asian hotels do.

Awesome adventures of the imagination. What a great day we’ve had at the amazing Bellingham Maze. This place never ever disappoints me or my little friends that I have the pleasure of sharing it with. Walking into the maze there is a waterfall that covers the entrance at first which captures the imagination and it really can just flow from there. I love asking the children lots of questions about what they think might be behind the waterfall and where the path may lead and what treasures they may see or whether there is a crocodile in the water or perhaps a fairy that lives in the maze somewhere 😊 creating some magic ✨ We made our way through the 5 different mazes and had loads of laughs on the putt putt golf ⛳️ course. My little 6year old friend was super excited 😃 to get her first hole in one🏌️‍♀️😃 and the beautiful staff always make everyone big and little feel super special 👍 certainly worth a visit and the cookies at the cafeteria are awesome 😃

Heron Island- Pristine, just divine, with wonderful staff. As you approach Heron Island all you notice are the various shades of stunning aqua blue water. I was so overdue for a break from work, all I wanted to do was snorkel, dive and sleep. The staff The General Manager Andreas is marvellous- genuinely friendly and accessible- and when he says he wants you to relax and “if you want anything at all, nothing is too much trouble” he really means it. My diet is tricky and my diving skills were WAY out of date- and the restaurant staff were so friendly, accommodating and helpful; and the dive shop staff were AMAZINGLY skilled, fun, kind, patient and helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of the dive shop staff and boat drivers- 10 out of 10. The other guests were also very friendly. The reef The reef was pristine and divine, colourful fish, turtles swimming past and under me when I was snorkelling and diving, I watched a manta ray at a cleaning station for ages- the water was so clear, and there were so many different types of coral. The educational tours were genuinely educational and increased my understanding and appreciation of the reef and all the contributions the different critters make to life on the reef. Staying there TRULY lifted my spirits- it’s a very healing place. Suggestions for travellers: Bring fresh water to drink and a TON of Sorbolene from Gladstone on the ferry (the salt water and desalinated shower water really dried my skin out!!)

Back to Pattaya after 25 years.. After not visiting Pattaya for more than 25 years my Thai friends said it was too return. There have been so many changes especially along the main beach road. New hotels, shopping centres, restaurants, supermarkets and many bars. I couldn’t believe the number of speed boats, ferries and floating entertainment venues. We chose to stay at the Hilton and my goodness it was 5 stars plus. Outstanding rooms, service and amenities. The restaurants were exceptional especially our dining at the Horizon. I must admit that I am not keen on the bars along the street but lots of people appear to really enjoy this type of entertainment not only in Pattaya but all beach tourist areas. So many attractions in and around Pattaya that it would suit many types of tourists.

Bali Dream Paradise Tour Service transport guide. Look Kadek up on his Facebook page you will be very happy you did if travelling to Bali. We are in our 60’s first trip to Bali and he absolutely made us feel like we were at home! Spoke perfect English , fantastic careful driver and toured us around for two weeks nothing was a problem. So easy to message and he responds so quickly. Last night our young son wife and toddlers arrived on a two hour delayed flight from Australia, Kadek was ready waiting with a sign , they were so pleased after long flight with 1 and 4 yr old. Thanks Kadek we wish you all the luck post pandemic and hope everyone who reads this makes contact👏👏👏

Not always authentic reviews. Although in the past I have been an avid user of the TripAdvisor App I am now extremely more aware. I had my own personal experience at a resort where I wrote my honest review about a resort my husband and I stayed in. A day after this review was written I was contacted by the resorts Manager via Messenger privately offering me a discount on our next visit at the restaurant on the small resort. After not replying, as I thought this was somewhat unusual given I wasn’t going to return to Thailand to stay at that resort again, he messaged me again offering me more of a discount to REMOVE my review off TripAdvisor!! We chose this resort because it had 5/5 star reviews by most people ....sadly this system has been rorted I suspect by someone who works at the resort. I contacted TripAdvisor to let them know and they told me that there was nothing they could do. So do I put my whole trust in TripAdvisor anymore-NO. My advise to everyone using TripAdvisor is to read all the negative reviews, you will soon find the truth.

Great platform but less than intuitive app interface. I've been using TA for years, love it and I use it to plan every trip. The interface on the app to use the forum is the worst user experience for going in and out of threads though. My natural inclination is to press the "done" option at the top because I am done reading that thread. The "back" option at the bottom is not obvious at all but it's the only option that closes the thread without going all the way back to the home page. If you consistently press "done" you have to search for your location, go back into the forums, go back to the page of threads you were on etc. Despite being a practiced and tech-literate user this happens to me over and over again every time I use the app. I know it's user error but I don't have this issue on ANY other forum interface. It needs improvement.

Club Officer.. We went for lunch yesterday on the way to an appointment and were somewhat pressed for time. After being shown to our table we placed both our drinks and meals order with our lovely helpful and happy female wait staff. The drinks were prompt and our meals arrived shortly after, which was what we wanted. I ordered the lamb roast and my good lady ordered the fish and chips. When our meals arrived, I commented that I think we have been served the full size meals and not the seniors, they were huge for a seniors meal and both meals couldn’t have been improved on they were absolutely delicious, thanks Chef. When we went to pay I would have been happy paying for the full sized meal as that’s what it looked like, but no, it was the seniors size. I can’t wait to return to Club Officer and next time not to be in a rush. As we were getting into our car a young gentleman appeared out of breath from running and asked if we had been at table seven. He then produced my mobile phone which I had left behind, PHEW. Ten out of ten for everything, the staff, the service, the prices and most of all the food, which is why we eat out.

Amazing Rooms & Amazing service. It was an absolute pleasure to have stayed in such a beautifully & impeccably clean apartment, we were able to stay on the 7th floor which the VIEWS of the surrounding city was incredible, from the minute we arrived we were greeted with OUTSTANDING service it made us feel so very welcomed. Housekeeping WOW just WOW can’t say to you ALL enough that this beautifully cleaned spacious room was the best we’ve ever stayed in and we truly mean that we would HIGHLY recommend to stay here, not to mention it’s also pet friendly our baby Versace loved it and we will stay again 🌺🌸🥰Thank you EVERYONE we loved our stay xx

Somewhat disappointed. I recently stayed at the Pavilion on Northbourne in Canberra for a week I was somewhat disappointed when I went to my room and there were no drawers to put my clothes there was hanging space and two desks three chairs but no drawers in the room. No bedside drawer there were also five small holes plugged in the wall, the shower rail was all rusted the paint was a dark olive green and only one picture on the wall behind me I complained at the front desk three times about the lack of storage . Nowhere to put my clothes and was told that I would only have drawers if I booked into a suite as hotel rooms don’t have drawers and most clients only stay 1 or 2 nights in single rooms!!!! The tap kept falling off the wall in the showers d there was not even 1 hook to hang anything. Only 1 mirror in the bathroom as well.I have been coming to Canberra every year for 20 years and I found this the most disappointing accommodation ever.

My happy place. Just returned from another fabulous holiday at the Melia Bali resort in Nusa Dua in Bali. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and welcomed. We stayed in The Level Lagoon access rooms (brilliant). Would not stay anywhere else. Yes it’s a little bit more money but oh so worth it. It’s the little things. Breakfast in the dining room as opposed to the great big buffet. Private pool and private beach area - special service at both - afternoon tea at the poolside cabana - cocktails every afternoon (omg) and the most AMAZING staff ever. Too many to name but special mention to Yuli - Doni - and around the pool and beach - you were all just fantastic every day - but to my besties Jaya (I looove you xx) Resti (gorgeous girl xx) and Darma (the best smile ever xx) you made our stay that little bit more special. See you all again next year for sure . Thank you Melia Bali - you really are my second home 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Love this app, but latest version has yet another infuriating bug :(. It would be great if the TripAdvisor app development staff would roadtest their updates properly before releasing them. They’ve fixed the problem I originally posted about (see below) but now if you are viewing multiple bookings you’ve filed under a particular trip, the system throws you out repeatedly. Really frustrating!! When you open a review comment to read it properly, the pop-up screen won’t close now, so the only way to go back to the main screen is to shut down the app and start again - ughh!

Ok but I’m sick of the supplementary questions. I review on TripAdvisor partly to counter the sometimes large number of silly reviews (of course, mine aren’t silly ;-)). It can also be useful to see reviews of places, hotels and restaurants that I’m thinking of visiting, particularly hotels where there can be useful information about rooms, noise, etc that is not available on hotel websites or published reviews. It’s also useful as a kind of diary of my travels. However, in writing a review, I am getting thoroughly sick of the supplementary questions required before a review can be submitted. No I don’t know whether a visually impaired person will be able to find their way around the restaurant, or whether service dogs are allowed, or whether vegan food is offered, or the plethora of other questions. I suggest if you do have those questions, which may be of great importance, then ask the restaurant, hotel or place of interest, rather than rely on TripAdvisor.

Aviair Mitchell Falls Scenic Flight and Hike. What an amazing day!! The scenic flight around the top of the Kimberly was beautiful. Our pilot, Tim, flew lower over the main attractions, affording us great photo opportunities. The hike to the Mitchell Falls was really great, incorporating some amazing aboriginal rock paintings, creek crossings, walking across the top of a waterfall and behind another, to be rewarded with spectacular, postcard quality photo options of the falls. If this wasn’t enough, the helicopter flight over the majestic Mitchell Falls was breathtaking. I highly recommend Aviair at Kununurra. Nothing was too much bother catering to dietary needs, attention to passenger comfort and assisting with the not so agile walkers. Thanks Tim for a fantastic and memorable day!

Double Six - Seminyak, Bali. This was our second stay and it has gone down hill since last year. Whilst the food and beverage staff were friendly and kind, the people in job levels higher were not, seeming more arrogant than is necessary. On arrival we were given a number of vouchers, mostly for use within the hotel. One was external and we were told that it could be exchanged for use within, which suited us better. When we enquired about this, the man on front desk was rude and somewhat mocking - he humiliated us. We were told the following day it was ‘miscommunication’. Handled very badly. Also the venue needs external maintenance work in their buildings, TV reception is terrible and air conditioning very noisy. Breakfast is good as is the Plantation Grill restaurant. Overall though very disappointed with our second stay.

Reverse Midas in Action. Everything Midas touched turned to gold. It seems that every time Tripadvisor update their app, another useful function turns to dross. The latest “improvement” means you can’t alter the sort sequence to “travelers ranking” any more - what’s the point of a service that is based on others’ opinions if you can’t easily access the hotels that have the highest average score? It was bad enough that you had to alter the sort sequence after every search, rather than this being a configured item in your profile. TripAdvisor is doing a very good impression of a service that has been captured by the providers, leaving its users behind. I’m doing a lot of trip planning at the moment, and TripAdvisor is no longer my first stop when researching future travel.

Fantastic Colonial Setting to treasure. We stumbled upon this beautiful old colonial house and fell in love with it! Shared our find with another couple who also had fallen in love with it. It has an elegance of a bygone age, with a local style of pottery that is beautiful and orientally stylish, for sale in the anterior gallery. It has a beautiful tropical garden setting at the back if you prefer an outdoor setting to the light spacious interior. The drinks selection is vast with the Raming local tea plantation’s tea highlighted. The Thai Satay Chicken was the best we have had while here in Chiang Mai. For it old fashioned elegance, delicious Thai food, lovely teas, and fruit drinks we have enjoyed there, this was our pick of the cafés we visited.

Really Great App!!!. Let me start by saying this review is for the Trip Advisor app, NOT ONE OF THE HOTELS OR ATTRACTIONS VISITED THRU TRIP ADVISOR. I can’t understand how so many other reviewers have used this area to rate everything but the app! Seriously, the stupidity of some people never fails to amaze me! Anyhow we travel quite a lot so this is one of my most used & treasured apps. It’s my go to as soon as we’re looking for accommodation & things to do. We use it to read up on before we travel & have lost count of the handy tips we’ve benefited from by reading other users reviews. Tips like: ‘ask for a room not ending in 5 or 6 to ensure you’re away from the noisy lift shaft’ & ‘skip the main entrance & head to the side street where there’s another entry point to avoid the massive queues’ are some of the insider knowledge we’ve benefited from & made our visits a much better experience. The app is quick & easy to use, it has a unlimited wealth of information & we would never travel without it.

Inoutbarcelonatours. We booked this tour to Monserrat from Australia and were delighted with our choice. We were picked up at our hotel promptly by our tour guide John. He was full of energy and information and also a lot of fun. There were only 6 of us so it was a very nice number and John looked after us very well. Monserrat is a beautiful place, full of history, and very peaceful and serene despite all the visitors. It is famous for the 800 year old Black Madonna, who is believed to perform miracles. There is a long line to touch her so try and take an early tour like we did and get to the queue quickly. The historic monastery is still the home of 50 monks and is also quite beautiful.

Bruny Island Safari’s gourmet food and lighthouse tour. Our experience started smack on 7am from our Hobart CBD pickup point. Tour guide Phil was informative and maintained a good level of “chuckle” throughout. The Sea Change tragics amongst us all agreed we’d met Diver Dan’s doppelgänger. Phil builds out the Bruny Island food story and the movers and shakers behind the scenes. Our first stop of oysters, cheese and sour dough hit the spot. Spectacular views from the lighthouse as well as the lookout at the neck of the island. The stops to follow from the main meal to the boutique fudge were a delight. Look out for the specials list at the pub as even though my scallops were delicious, I was trumped by my wife’s crushed cashew encrusted catch of the day. Next time! This tour is a must.

Meriton suites Campbell street, Sydney. We arrived straight from the airport early in the morning and proceeded to Meriton suites in Campbell street, Sydney. We were greeted with lovely welcoming smiles by the staff st the front desk. Our intention was to have our luggage stored till check in. We were asked politely if we could wait a moment on the comfortable couches in the foyer and to our delight, Siebert came up to us confirming that our rooms were ready and he could take us up to them straight away. This was 10:30am!!! We also had specific needs for one of our guests and all our needs were attended to with ease and nothing seemed to be a problem. Our rooms were stylish, comfortable, spacious and practical. You could stay here for a week and feel like you were at home away from home. The apartments are close to paddy’s markets and Darling Habour and the walk to circular quay is about 30-40mins. I would happily stay here again in the future.

Great app but was Better one edition ago. TripuAdvisor has so many applications, it makes the ideal traveling companion. It is possible to find things, write reviews, read other reviews all on the move. One feature that has disappeared is the facility to add dates to your trips, and then have the program order your interests by date. Please bring it back ! The other thing that is a bit annoying is that when you print a trip summary, the address and phone numbers are not shown, so it is necessary to go to each site to get them. This tripled the amount of paper I had to carry with me, so please can we have this feature back.

The Reserve Accommodation Barossa Valley. We have just had 5 nights at The Reserve together with 6 friends. It is a very special place to catch up as a group. The Living/Entertaining area sooo good - over looking beautiful grounds which include Bbq, Pizza oven, Sauna and large outdoor setting. Sadly for us it rained but for the locals very much needed. This didn’t spoil our stay as the log fire and the cosy room was the perfect setting to enjoy the great wines we had been buying. The manager Jodie was probably the loveliest and most helpful manager we have encountered. The only negative was the 5th bedroom- ok for children probably but not for an adult who felt poorly done by when she saw the other 4 bedrooms!! Overall a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

Great location, room needs attention.. Rang trying to book direct, but got answering machine. Left message to return call and make booking, but never happened. Also had some questions . Booked online. Arrived on time to be shown to a small suite, but had booked the large suite. Had to wait 30 minutes for room to be prepared. Man at reception was polite and sorted out a parking spot. Thanks! I don’t believe the room was properly cleaned.... felt sandy under foot, and some stains on floor. No towels were provided until I asked at the restaurant later that afternoon as reception is only open between 2-4pm. Room needs maintenance. Large hole in one wall, and bathroom door was not lockable. Some major damage and repairs had been conducted sometime prior to the door with a large panel screwed to the door on the outside, tile stuck on door on the inside, and pantry cupboard handles replaced the proper door handles. The “sofa bed” was the most uncomfortable thing to sit on and as for sleeping, better off on the floor due to rod through the centre of the “sofa bed” and only being 5 feet long. Main bed was fine. The restaurant at the front was good. Live music at night, and fast service at breakfast.

Hotel manager treatment of guest booking. I made a booking two months in advance and unfortunately a family member of mine has passed and our trip to Italy has been canceled. I understand the hotel has a policy but it’s human nature to understand unfortunate circumstances do occur and human compassion should prevail. I have asked for a refund and I have been treated like old bread in a wooden basket. I feel this has been unfair and I haven’t even had a response back from management. I have called them numerous times and that has cost me as its international and I can’t get any Answers. For a 5 star rated hotel that doesn’t pick up the phone is unacceptable as well. This is more like a 3 star hotel . I’ve called at late hours in Italy and even so the hotel reception should answer but that’s not the case with this hotel. I am appalled . I have a family and I’m a hard working citizen and this has really hurt my family .

Good food but not cheap, and need consistent service. Food was delicious with good portion (well depends on what you choose). The duck confit was of good portion and yummy but the fish was in smaller portion. But very fresh ingredients. The service was good and the staff were friendly. The only disappointing thing was they did a birthday surprise for all the other tables with sparkles and a chocolate written message on a complementary cupcake but missed ours though we had noted “joint birthday celebration” in our reservation. Apparently they had missed our reservation notes. We were not expecting it initially but when the other three tables had the surprise and personalised touches and we didn’t get it… that left a disappointing distaste. Other than this, food and service were good.

A tad confusing at times.. I’ve been reviewing, hotels, restaurants & places of interest from many places, here in Australia, the UK, USA & parts of Europe, for some years now. I’ve recently been on & am seeing my reviews still sitting waiting to be submitted. When I submit, it then shows up as already submitted. I’m either doing something incorrectly or the system is getting confused. Not a major problem, however I don’t want to submit the same review twice. Also I’m concerned that some places may be sending in fake reviews. I stayed at a B&B in Kings Lyne last year based on some good reviews. It was awful , so I was very disappointed that I’d chosen if for its good reviews from TripAdvisor! Also when I posted my review of said B&B it was responded with scathing remarks from the owner, of which I had no option for supporting my original comments. Whilst I don’t want to have an online slanging match, I would like to be able to back up my comments in a mature & reasonable way !

Ultimate “Heads Up” & “Risk Reduction”. Never had the most smoothest driving Australia holiday as a direct result of access to “those who have been there and done that” that has both saved us from choosing hotel’s that didn’t match our needs and when paying attention to the basic patterns of people’s not so great experiences, we where able avoid the same fate (although we did attempt to book a poorly reviewed hotel & it was exactly what people had said) then becoming more confident with using trip adviser good ratings with a larger cohort has proven statistically highly reliable source lf valuable money saving, smooth sailing (or driving I should say) and excellent experiences.

Villa Manta. A perfect place for a group or family Holiday on Koh Samui . We were a family of seven , so the four en-suite rooms was a perfect combination for us . Stepping down into kitchen , lounge dining areas , outdoor dining , pool table , TV , private infinity pool , sun beds , nothing else to ask for . Villa has housekeeper and cook whenever we needed , for washing , and cooked meals in if we wanted .Stay included an amazing cooked breakfasts each day . Staff arranged transport to wherever we needed , restaurants , day tour , English speaking , as villa a short drive away from main shopping , restaurant areas . We loved leaving that behind and coming back to our secluded private villa . Just a wonderfull Villa , excellent staff made for us a perfect family holiday , combination of staying in and having some days out . Thanks again Villa Manta

Don’t hire from Europcar. Heard many stories but never took any notice until it happened to us. Hired a car through Europcar Brisbane for 1 week. Only used a third of a tank of fuel, that’s how little we used it. Basically from the airport to our accomodation and back. We returned the car at around 9 am Wednesday but it wasn’t until 3 days later on a Saturday morning they informed us there was not one, not two, not even 5 but ELEVEN stone chips in the windscreen. Of course by this time we were home and couldn’t view the so called damage, you can’t see anything in the photos. I think we would know if we got one stone chip. But Eleven? Of course their dispute resolution did nothing and the windscreen was fixed before we could get anyone to go and have a look. Our word against them but as they have your credit card details they took $1379 out of our account. This included not only the windscreen but $100 admin fee and a $90 salvage fee. “Rogues” They have lost our business, my work hires and everyone we know will be warned. BE WARNED

Reliable App. I rely on the Trip Advisor app to give me honest and accurate information about hotels, restaurants and activities. With so many people adding real reviews every day there is a good cross-section of opinions on most things that I research. I encourage everyone who uses the app to give their ratings so everyone can benefit from their experiences.

Great app. Trip Advisor is a reliable and easy way to get information on anything to do with travel. I really like the rating system. Shirley

Best steak in town. AAA certified angus beef steak.

Bellman at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta. We have been coming to this resort for 20 years and as we drive onto the property we are usually greeted by Jose Garcia who has the most friendly demeanour. He works hard and efficiently tying to accommodate our every need. He is never too busy to lend a helping hand to his colleagues or to greet arriving guests with a warm smile and a welcoming Hola. Jose also has a delightful sense of humour. He is a wonderful representative for Vidanta.

The Greatest Hole-In-The-Wall Anywhere. I’m not an OMG kinda guy, but Oh My God! These were the best tacos ever and excellent margaritas. US$2 for tacos (US$2.50 for shrimp). The sea bass and shrimp were the best. Chicken was nicely done but could use something to add some zing (nice and tender meat, though. Not bad at all). Definitely coming back soon for the smoked Marlin (Gobernador)

Mark Webber(Victoria BC). If you are considering a trip to Cuba and like to stay in Matanzas then I would like to recommend a real genuine caring family in a casa particular @Casa Manzaneda... I went to Cuba to experiance to culture, country and people. This family took great care of me upon my arrival as well kept in contact throughout my trip and assisted me in finding suitable accommodation along my travels. I went there to cycle around the island and the owners Felix of Casa Manzaneda speaks fluent english and was so generous in helping me out with everything..! I met many nice people in Cuba but my most memorable was my stay in Metanzas at Casa Manzaneda. It’s was such a nice experiance and place to stay~ I came back and stayed there again before flying back from Veredero... I have been travelling over four decades and know this has great value and promise you won’t be disappointed in staying here with this sweet family... Happy travels~~~

Super glitchy!. Nobody beta test their products anymore! The developers rely on you to make a complaint that way they know when to start fixing stuff. You are doing all the work for them! Why don’t we all stop using the things don’t work, stop doing surveys , stop giving our opinions ,that way we will get better quality everything.

Overcharging criminals. I talked with other guests at an experience last night and found they paid $100 on Airbnb for the same experience that Trip Advisor had charged me $192 for. What a gross feeling! I’ve cancelled my other experience with Trip Advisor and will never use this platform again. If you find an experience on Trip Advisor, I recommend Googling the name of the experience and paying half the price by booking with a different platform.

Lost towel found!. Mariana, grecia, stefano, anton, fernando and richard from concierge helped me find my baby’s towel that was lost by the pool. They did a great job!

Commentaires.

Very useful. Use the app with every trip. Thanks Trip Advisor

My stay at Garden Square. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Garden Square Hotel in Krakow, Poland, and I was completely blown away by my experience. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way possible, from the exceptional service to the beautiful rooms. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-decorated. I couldn't believe how comfortable and luxurious the room was. The hotel has a beautiful garden and outdoor seating area which made it an excellent place to relax and unwind. Additionally, the hotel’s restaurant served delicious meals with a great selection of local dishes. What impressed me the most about the Garden Square Hotel was the level of service provided by the staff. They were incredibly attentive and always went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to the old town and other major tourist attractions. The hotel’s proximity to the airport also made it a great choice for travelers. Overall, I highly recommend the Garden Square Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Krakow. The hotel’s exceptional service, luxurious amenities, and convenient location make it the perfect choice for anyone visiting the city.

I love it!. That app is very useful to plan a trip just about anywhere and I find comments are accurate.

A hidden Jewel♥️. From the moment we arrived.. Alessandra greeted by my name. She spent so much time sharing her passion of the passion behind the food infused with her heritage of being Italian and Brazilian… she recommend a beautiful bottle of red wine to complement our food choices. From start to finish with our wonderful dessert everything was outstanding! We had the pleasure of getting to meet her husband Miguel who came in while we were eating.. the conversation, music and tut buzz of energy made this little place one we will never forget! I can’t wait to share with friends who are coming to the Algarve in May… the little town of Tavira is so pretty, and Bossa Tavira restaurant was the icing on the cake 🎂 You will love it!!!

Needs to stay up to date. Lots of the restaurants it says are open don’t exist anymore. Probably best not to trust the app for up-to-dateness.

Goto app for finding restaurants. I am always suspicious of restaurant reviews however tripadvisor gives peer to peer reviews which give you a good feel of what the restaurant and food is like.

Hasn’t been working for me lately. I love using the app to plan my vacations but lately it has been giving me internet connection errors, I can review my itinerary but I can’t do any research. I have to go to the website from my browser to save items.

The best vegan meal in 5 years+. I am usually very disappointed with vegan options at hotel restaurants. This time I have been absolutely blown away! Chef Tyler made this cauliflower steak in a curry type sauce and it was the most incredible and memorable meal I have had on the road in more than 5 years! Hats off! Our server Nikki was on her top game too! Great experience, I will have this meal again tomorrow.

Please fix this issue. Please, please, please fix this. It has been frustrating me for years when using the app on iOS: Please put the back button up top next to the X button not down at the bottom. When using the forum section I always hit the X when I’m done reading a thread then lose where I am in the forum and have to scroll and scroll to find my place. It is beyond frustrating!

Lucero. Food was amazing / we enjoyed everything from quirky outdoor tables with great old music videos…such fun. Now the food, we’ll all was incredible from the shoestring fry apples to the El dente Veges and yummy rice. The mesquite rib eye was outstanding, thoroughly enjoyed. The taste of homemade gelato was great. The service was helpful & friendly. We’ll be back.

Don’t use this app. It’s so ridiculous how far from reality this apps local places reviews are, that is almost offensive for locals to show this ranking of best places, best restaurants, etc. It used to be a very good app before Covid, but I guess that for developers make the app survive trough pandemic has been hard, right now if you follow the reviews here you will get an awful experience, getting on top10 even tourist traps.

I didn’t get to finish my review…. Xcaret - Arte. Advice, tips and pointers If you plan on hitting any of the parks like the ziplines or the ATV rides take the 8:30AM bus to them from Arte. You will be close to the front of the line, you’ll see that because by the time you get to the end of each of those rides some will already be closed because the lines are full. If you’re planning on going to the Xcaret park go Mon - Fri if you can - Sat and Sun are a zoo. If you like birds then you must go to the bird sanctuary - it’s hard to describe but you are following a path from top to bottom in a circular fashion bit doesn’t feel like it. There are nets over the top of the exhibit but you don’t notice them and all of the birds are flying free - except the bald eagle and the condor. At each level on the path there are boulders that tell you what birds you can expect to see. And then it just goes on - there are maps there that you can look at to see what you would like to see most. This park can’t be done in one day!! Come here at night and watch the Mexican Show - the first half explains the culture of Mexico and the second half celebrates the different states/provinces of Mexico. If you only have one week look at what you’d enjoy the most and plan your time. You don’t want to miss the best of what you want to see.

Amazing experience. Our room is lovely, the location in perfect and the staff are all wonderful but what really blew us away was that when we arrived we had a fun conversation with the bellman, Tyrell, about it being his birthday on the day we were leaving and my wife mentioned that this trip was a birthday present for her. When we returned from supper we found a full size bottle of iced sparkling wine with glasses and chocolates and a card wishing her a happy birthday on a tray on our bed That really is service above and beyond.

Too many fake reviews it’s laughable. So easy to spot fake reviews. Let’s see one contribution. 5/5. Everything amazing. The funny thing is the don’t even try to hide it. Many use the same ID pictures. TripAdvisor should seriously make efforts to remove such junk.

Great to read on and review travel destinations. Trip advisor is useful in reading on and writing reviews for trip sites around the world

Awesome app. Trip Advisor is still the best site for real travelers

Karuma gourmet grill Puerto Vallarta. We were a party of 6 on Valentine’s Day. Arrived early to enjoy the sunset view and a drink. Our hostess, Jimena actually seated us a bit early at our request and presented each lady with a beautiful red rose. All night we were looked after by Ricardo and Erik. Never a glass empty or a request not honoured Our bartender Diego made a lovely wine choice for us as well. My husband and I had been before so we knew the experience would be stellar but the other two couples we floored. To everyone at karuma, thank you for once again exceeding our expectations with amazing food and outstanding service! Janice and John Bower

Excursion Catamaran Antigua Cie Wadadli Cats.

Best source for travel information. Where would we be without Trip Advisor? Simply the best source for reliable travel information available.

Ixtapa Club Med does not disappoint! It excels. We tried Ixtapa Club Med because we love the Club Med experience and usual first and best properties in the region. We moved to the West Coast ofCanada and the Caribbean is now a duo of 5 hour flights and 3 hour time zone change. Friends raved about Ixtapa at Christmas so we have it a try first week of April 2023 Family resort. But lots of fun and R&R for adults (us). Sunny every day. 10 daytime rainfalls a year in the summer Air temp 35C (95F) and water temp 30C (89F). Warmest water we have ever experienced in the ocean in the world including Bora Bora and Australia. Calm weather Clean beach. Long. No Sargassum weed. At all. Soft sand. Can’t say enough about the beach. Food always fresh. Many Mexican choices and adults and kids can find water they need including Lamb and Beef Wellington on occasion. Staff excellent. Many mMexican nationals who work hard, interact well and always smile when serving. Call outs to RUIZ AND ARMUNDO of the service staff We stayed in the SOL Suites and had our own Concierge. Kudos to exceptional service of ANNA. She took great care of us, our dumb and good questions and June’s is for a meal or two. Terrific. Will go back twice per year. No complaints

Pepe has passed. The first thing I thought was wow these are tacos. Then we heard the news that Pepe had died and his son Pepito had taken over. At any rate I hope the surgery goes well and the school bus is up and running again soon!

Pangalusian resort el nido. We had a wonderful five days here at the resort. Staff are incredibly friendly and more than helpful. We chose to stay in a canopy villa, essentially a treehouse accessible by either a ramp, or a tall staircase. The rooms are luxurious and incredibly comfortable. The beach is beautiful a little rocky, and it was pretty windy when we were her. the pool is not heated but very refreshing and a beautiful place to watch the sunset. We did their sunset hike to get a 360 of all the islands around and that really was beautiful. The hike is not for those out of shape. we met some amazing people, and saw lots of families enjoying their time. Are only criticism would be the food. When we first arrived, it was à la cart, which was unbelievable the best ceviche I’ve ever had. However, when it got busy, they switched to only buffet at lunch and dinner which became pretty boring by night 4. in addition, nothing on the buffet was ever hot. Furthermore, a great choice for Eggs in the morning -made fresh for you, but again, but often arrived to the table, lukewarm and sometimes cool. One tip we only learned about the last day was if you don’t want buffet at lunch you can always order à la cart from the pool bar!

Ios 11. You’re app no longer works on IOS11. Please fix,

Don’t leave home without it. Indispensible

Evening Hot Spring and Dinner. My husband and I enjoyed two hours in the hot springs in the evening and then a wonderful dinner. I was pleased that wet towels could be exchanged for dry ones over the course of our stay. The lockers were spacious. The change rooms were clean. Having shampoo and conditioner in the showers was a bonus. Dining was casual and the menu was brief but the food was delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The experience left us feeling pampered.

Used to be good. I used to like it but now it says I need to connect to Internet even though I am connected so useless.

Lost their way. Trip Advisor used to offer a great service to locate the top attractions in an area. Now all I get in my search listings are paid tours as they seek to take a cut of your ticket purchases. They’ve lost their way :(

Excellent on all points!!!. The staff were excellent, the rooms, the food, entertainment, and beach were also excellent!!! 5 stars across the board!

Can’t plan travel without this app!. I am a travel consultant and whenever I plan my road trips I always use TripAdvisor app to find things to do and see. I also advise my clients to browse it to get ideas. Love this app and use it all the time.

Excellent Customer Service at Makan. We need to mention the excellent and warm service extended to us by Laila Martin. She went over and above her role with perfect suggestions for a wonderful lunch. Thank you Laila , you are indeed a wonderful asset to Doubletree, Penang.

Always helpful. A great resource site. .

Chiang Rai 1 day bus tour. We had an excellent tour of Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai. Terrific guide with very informative detail. Stopped for a delicious lunch & a nice coffee stop to end the day. Full day, very good value. Highly recommend!

Steve. Yay

Don Luis Surf & Turf Night. We had a great feast tonight with a Spanish coffee presentation! Recommend it for everyone!

I love it but it needs work. I really love this App and I contribute and peruse it a lot but.... Please fix something pdq, writing a review is often troublesome. Almost every time when I’m ready to submit the review, it wants me to sign in again, over and over. Often it wants me to prove that I’m not a Robot, this is extremely annoying so do something about it, please. Otherwise, it’s a good App

JW Marriott, Bangkok Thailand,. My wife and I had the most wonderful 10 days staying at this Marriott! From the moment our cab dropped us off from the airport the "staff" worked as a team to make certain all of of our needs and wishes were met always with a smile and ultimate courtesy. I would describe everyone on the "team" as ALWAYS kind and from the heart. Our times with the Concierge, Front Desk and Executive Lounge always exceeded our expectations. We would like to acknowledge everyone by name as each one was very special to us. The Manager of the team is Patt. She leads by example always from her "heart" and everyone on her team, without exception, follows her example! They were all "born" that way! It is natural and easy for them. The "team" members by name are: Fong, Honey, Lukpla, Peach, Day, Touch, Mena, Genova, Por, and Noon. If you want at great total experience Stay at the JW Marriott, Bangkok!

Grand family get together. We had a family tour at The Palace Luxury Resort. Although It was the Honeymoon trip of Shohaeb Rumi but unfortunately The Great MG group didn’t allow them to stay alone 🫣. We were in their main building. We were 15 cousins, among them 2 kids were there, missed Amin Shamsuddin, Amrita Rahman, Tahia Tul Jannat, Tanvir Ahmed & so many of our group. All of us enjoyed a lot there. Natural beauty and modern facilities meets together. Kids enjoyed indoor and outdoor games, swimming pool, maze and open places everywhere. Foods were (breakfast to dinner) Top notch 🤘🏻. Everything was very well managed and nicely cleaned. Their service was at their best. Specially Mr. Adil from the front desk helped us in guiding all over which was really appriciatable. He helped me in every ask. Thanks to the Team of the resort & inshaAllah we will be coming back here again.

Beware! know what you are getting. This has become an older more run down hotel. They make the outside look nice, so keep that in mind. But our room had so many problems inside. There was a sewer smell in the second bathroom. They said they were aware of that problem and could Only bring us a scented sprayer. The exhaust fan made a very loud annoying noise. Interrupted us the very first night of sleep. Next night we tried closing the doors but they were just as unbearably squeaky when anyone got up to use the bathroom. They said that couldn’t be fixed. Later the refrigerator started with some loud noise. All our problems could not be fixed, but they could masked or we had to deal. Hmmm. So they gave us a credit. Okay. Except they screwed that up on the bill so we had to complain again. They ended up crediting us a fair amount. Although we had to fight for it. I would not willingly stay here again unless the price were much lower. It’s not worth the price to stay here.

Randles Hotel Review. My wife and I had a nice stay in Killarney at The Randles Hotel until the last night and morning. Our itinerary required us to be picked up by our driver at 0530 for the airport trip. We talked with a front desk person the afternoon prior to our early departure. She promised us (and made a notation in a book) that we could get coffee and something cold by the night porter at 0500 the next morning. With our luggage, we arrived at the dining room door at 0500 in search of coffee and something. We were not expecting hot food but they advertise 24 hour room service and we had the desk clerk’s promise. The night porter saw us from the room above and asked what we were doing. We explained our story. His response to our breakfast question was: “What, at 5 AM?”. I then returned to our room. My wife was later offered coffee alone. The porter apologized to me for the mix up but assured me it was not his fault. I told him it was not our fault. He was the hotel representative at that time and failed in his responsibility. I left with a bad impression after that interaction.

Horrible! Don’t Use!!. First, there are problems logging into the app. You have to prove you’re not a robot over and over again. Also, once you are logged in you don’t know it because there’s not any confirmation or landing page. Instead, after a successful login you are taken back to the login page which causes you to think that you were unsuccessful. What a mess!! I booked three tours for one day. Without asking or even giving a reason, TripAdvisor took it upon themselves to cancel one of my tours and change the time of the second tour. When I arrived at checkin to get my ticket I was informed that the tour was in Hebrew, which I do NOT speak. Because this was only an hour before the app advised that I would not be refunded. When I tried to look for a customer service phone number, I found that none were listed. All I could do was email a complaint which in turn I received an email back stating that my problem would be looked into within 3 to 5 DAYS!!! What a waste!!! I can only hope that at this evening’s planned event I will not have any problem getting my ticket!!

Relaxing, well appointed, and lovely!. We spent one night in a gorgeous room at The Cromwell Manor Inn. One of the new owners greeted us, helped with our luggage, and gave us a tour. He also made some excellent dinner suggestions for restaurants in the area. The grounds are spacious with acres of land and the courtyard was a lovely place to have a cocktail and enjoy the stunning sunset view. Our room was large with a working wood burning fireplace for cold winter months. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. The icing on the cake in the room were the nice robes. I’m always bummed when there aren’t robes. Our continental breakfast included fruit, a variety of breads, oatmeal, yogurt, boiled eggs, juice and coffee. It was adequate for us but if a guest prefers more, there is an excellent restaurant that serves breakfast next door. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Hector’s in Mazatlan. This Was not a fine dining experience as we expected. I would’ve felt more welcome at Burger King and been better taken care of. Our whole experience from ordering to checking out was less than 45 minutes. The waiter took our drink order and we only got one Cube of ice after requesting a full glass. After he brought Iceless tea, I ordered a glass of red wine and never received it. The prawn spaghetti was good as was the risotto. I had the lasagna and Stouffers makes better. We were served our food & received no further attention from any of the waiters despite asking for ice and salt and pepper. We asked several times for the check and when we finally received it, we paid part in pesos and put part on the credit card. We told him to put 605 pesos on the card and he came back and had charged us 620. We will never go back here again. There were people at every table when we arrived but by the time we left 45 minutes later the place was relatively empty. People did not seem to be enjoying their dining experience either.

Wonderful experience with Kay Tours Claudia and Derek. We chose the Chichén Itzá premier tour and it was definitely worth it. Claudia and Derek were wonderful. They thought of every detail and made us feel like real VIP’s. Claudia was very knowledgeable and gave us a detailed history of Chichén Itzá. She also knew exactly where and how to take the most amazing photos. We visited two cenotes that were incredibly beautiful, peaceful and refreshing. Our timing was almost uncanny and we avoided all of the crowds and had the cenotes mostly to ourselves. We enjoyed a very tasty lunch and got to see a bit of the beautiful city of Vallodalid. Overall the experience was grand and totally worth the money. It would not have been nearly as enjoyable with a big group and Claudia and Derek made it even better. Make sure to request them on your next tour.

Frustrating. I’ve always loved TripAdvisor, but they’ve made so many changes to their app and website. For instance it’s completely unhelpful to search for hotels now, because you’re forced to fill in dates of travel, even if you don’t know yet which dates you’re traveling. If you enter dates many hotels won’t show up, as they have no availability, therefore it makes it impossible to research every hotel in a given city. Their search engine is also very frustrating now. Trying to search for a city is difficult as it auto fills certain areas for you. For instance, if I want to research Bologna Italy, I will use the search bar for “Bologna”, then it auto fills the location as “near me,” or maybe one of my last city searches. So I’ll get a restaurant or hotel with the word “Bologna” in it, but near my house. Just weird and so annoying. I wish there was a better website, but unfortunately we’re stuck with this one as it continues to get worse and worse. :(

Came here for Dave and Tim 2020 - and ready for 2021. We booked here for the Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds three day concert and would come back for the resort alone - though we are actually coming back for Dave and Tim 😁. The resort is fabulous - we stayed in the Sunrise section. The rooms are huge, and oh so comfortable. I spent three hours in our (huge) ocean view balcony terrace today and am looking forward to lounging in our ocean view double size jacuzzi. Really. You cannot beat the food - delicious, abundant, varied. The service has been exceptional. Personal shout outs to: Carlos, a server at Asadero restaurant - someone needs to make him a manager ASAP. He is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, service-oriented, helpful, cannot say enough. My background is in hotels and he definitely puts time into learning everything about the company he works for so he can answer every question I had, as well as showing a deep interest in his own restaurant, menu items, flavor profiles, you name it. A first class server and all around good person. Ask to be seated in his section - you won’t be disappointed! Carmen, message therapist at Awe Spa - I had a wonderful 80 minute aromatherapy massage with her. She is lovely, strong (found all my back knots and worked them out), professional and kind. I truly recommend her!

My go-to advisor. Trip advisor is my source and I find it very rarely wrong. What you see is not the opinion of a single critic but the input of masses which is why it is general pretty accurate information. You can even write your own reviews but be very careful about writing a negative review. I did that once, found I was in error, tried to retract the review. There is a process. It's fairly hidden and after I did find it, it did not work. I felt terrible because the restaurant owner had worked in good faith with me, and I had promised him I would retract the review. (What had happened was my own error, not his.) when that failed, I decided if I could not retract it, the next best thing would be to counter balance it with a glowing review. It would not let me enter another review for a month. If it were not for this glitch in the Trip Advisor software, I would give them a full and solid 5.

Won’t leave home without this app!. In today’s highly competitive world, many restaurants and hotels are scrambling to get customers in their doors. This app is one of the most valuable apps for travelers who don’t want to be surprised with poor service, low-quality food, and bad environments. I really like it when I’m researching a restaurant and deciding to go there and being able to make a reservation right through the app. One caution that I recommend is to always look at more than one or two reviews. I normally look at at least 10 low reviews and 10 high reviews before I make a decision and always remember restaurants and hotels are gaming the system by putting in their own reviews of their own establishments. I usually put more weight into a review from someone who has a history of traveling which you can see in their profile.

Still doesn’t get basics right. Am one of Trip Advisors Top Contributers with 100,000+ readership and have been watching Trip Advisor updates for 5+ years now but I’m disappointed with the progress of the App and website over the years. It’s annoying that they still don’t get basics right for ex. if I submit a new place I don’t get a notification/email. As another example they continue to track history without permission or providing a way to edit/delete history (violating basic privacy laws and ignoring multiple user complaints). Yet another example is limiting restaurant reviews to 100 characters in the app. Not changing app orientation based on phone direction is another limitation. Instead of getting the basics right they have focused on useless things like the ridiculous number and type of badges and most recently trying to replace helpful votes with followers (and with a recent update I started getting feeds from N number of random sources even though I follow nobody).

A Tool that is a absolute “MUST HAVE”. I hate reviewers that post an review based upon a bad experience... things happen, think for a moment, will that exact “negative experience “ happen to a reader?... especially fussy, opinionated, clueless, needy. idiots like 99% of the one star reviews I have read on this site. I love reviewers that dine or stay or experience something “multiple times” and “THEN” feel qualified to review something.,, In essence ice Cream Parlor is not a restaurant.., no bad service may have happened , at your table, but not the table next door.., so express yourself at the moment.. “ DO NOT LET A PROBLEM BECOME A COMPLAINT!” I have many reviews, over hundred, but not in the thousands, although I could... I eat out 21 times a week 99% of the time for free, and with dozens of people who are inclined to complain, and I represent the company that put them in their Hotel/ Restaurant/ Experience End of story ... please do not review anything you did just one time, positive or negative.. you are not qualified to do so... An exception to this would be hygienic or honesty., Please AMERICANS, Australians, Canadians, and just about every nationality when abroad... cut them some slack! You have awesome Hotels, Service, Organization, because that is what you offer the visitor!... If you only have that to offer then it better be good!

Everything I Want To Know Beforehand!. Pick a topic: restaurants, hotels, local color and the opportunity to make RSVPs; I find the Trip Advisor App covers almost everything I want to know about and prepare for before I depart. 1. I particularly find mention of “actual menu items” (whether or not available the next time)helpful in understanding what well traveled members have found the restaurants actually prepare & serve well. 2. Hotel Information from travelers, especially regarding it’s location to local landmarks in international cities, is very helpful. 3. Local Color information is invaluable when trying to decide what to pack for the day trip: water bottle, bug juice, etc. and understanding areas mobility & necessary time to allow. 4. Can’t mention enough how helpful & reliable the opportunity for various excursion & meal RSVPs thru the Trip Advisor App has been on trips to Paris, Giverny, London, Rome & Positano, etc.

While traveling, will NOT eat a meal without cking. My wife and I are recently retired and for the past 5 years have traveled for anywhere between 2 months and 4 months at a time in Europe and SE Asia. When it comes time to find a restaurant for a good AND RELIABLE meal, we ALWAYS check Trip Advisor. The restaurant must meet our filters and have at least 2-3 recent (within 2 or 3 months) positive viewer reviews. When we have followed those personal rules we have yet to have either a bad or surprisingly expensive tourist trap meal. While recently in Italy a friend traveling with us saw a posted menu and before I cld ck Trip Advisor we were in the restaurant and seated. Our meal was tasteless AND OVERLY EXPENSIVE. We walked right into a typical tourist trap!!! Since it was only a lunch we didn’t make a big deal out of it but our friend learned a quick lesson, because afterwards he wld always ask me to find a place to eat !!

Bring back the former TripAdvisor format. I loved the former TripAdvisor format, and I used it almost daily to find restaurants in the area in which I live, neighboring cities I go to frequently, and places I travel to on occasion. For the latter, I would also check out hotel ratings and places to see. I loved how well the restaurants were organized—by types of food (Italian, Mexican, Steakhouses, Seafood, etc.) to types of meals (breakfast, brunch, etc.) to moderately priced meals, to rating the #1 rated restaurant in the area to #2 and all the way down to the final restaurant in the area—with lists for both those regardless of food category and another that rated the food in a certain category. Also, choosing areas you might like were easier to find and more relevant than the new system. Why replace a winning and masterfully designed and well-organized website with a hodgepodge of listings that the viewer is not interested in wading through? Pleeeez bring back the former, beautifully designed website you had just days ago. And if you must, change the graphics only.

Unforgettable postThanksgiving trip to Everglades. Our multi-generational group of grandma, mom, and two girls in their 20s drove down from Tampa on the day after Thanksgiving. We pushed grandma’s chair for over a mile, on well-maintained boardwalks, with good signage pointing out “gator apples” and “cedar knees” and reminding us to be aware of the real gators who live there. The sunny day was perfect - not too warm or buggy. We saw some gators and took the boat trip at the National Park Service dock in Everglades City to see the river and the gulf, and all the birds like ibis and heron and cormorants. The naturalists were friendly and eager to point out what they saw. We saw a family of dolphins with a baby, and the kids on the cruise went crazy, and started singing to them. It was delightful. Then we drove to Naples for supper and home to sleep. A perfect day of tourism for us all!

Fairfield Innand Suites Weaverville North Carolina. 5 stars for Lori,Jessica, and Jessica. They all went out of their way to make my stay a comfortable one. Lori went out to the store just for me to get me gallon of planet oat milk since Iam a vegan and only drink plant based milk with my coffee. What a sweetheart she is!! They did spend tedious extra moments with me going over the ingredients of the continental breakfast. All that was ok was fruit loops. I ate 2 containers and relived my childhood. There was fresh fruit though I slept too late and others had eaten it all up. I suppose they could include oatmeal, granola, or high fiber cereal. My suitcase had broke I switched to my sisters but they said I could just leave my old one there. They called me to make sure everything was ok in the room it was. The room was small but very cozy adequate and greatly designed. Beautifull curtains!!! Ac or heat. The shower smartly designed. I loved the Alice and Company cruelty free shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Very smooth, natural, clean very lightly scented. Best of all I know no animals were harmed in the making of the product. I felt at peace as my own household is loaded with cruelty free products. Everyone I encountered was very attentive and helpful. I would go there again. I give Lori all the stars in the Milky Way!!!

Disappointing of late. I used to love trip advisor. But what happened? First of all, most recently, there are no reviews! Did they remove them bc of Covid? Idk. Also, I hate that “sponsored” listings come up first! Thirdly, there are often reviews that are clearly written for the wrong listing, such as a restaurant within a hotel is listed under the hotel name or a place with a similar name is reviewed on the incorrect listing. These should be removed bc this is misleading and not helpful. Fourth, people who don’t have a legitimate complaint, their reviews are misleading and unhelpful. For example, “I couldn’t park here but the food was great” and they give 1 star for parking. Another thing, you keep having to put in the same filters rather than set them for your account. For example, I never want “best value”. I always want “traveler rating” and EVERY single time you make a change, you have to re-put in filters. But it’s the sponsored thing that really is most annoying. I no longer trust TA. I still use it and just have to be very careful and read between the lines.

This place is a great find!. I asked at our hotel for a place open late with good Italian food with a Japanese twist, and Trattoria Isuqo came recommended. It was terrific! My wife got the fresh squid ink pasta of the day with calamari and olives — and she was impressed. The spicy sausage pizza was excellent — thin crust, which I like. And small enough for me to have on my own and finish the entire thing. Really tasty. The charcoal grilled Shiso Peppers with salt and lemon as appetizers were a great addition. The staff is really kind and helpful to non-Japanese speakers; they’ll use an app to help translate whatever you need. Not much decor — it’s a hole in the wall type place — but decicious food, insanely cheap drinks and really nice, helpful staff. I would come back if ever again in Kyoto and OD’d on good Japanese. PS — really cool jazz, blues and funky soundtrack. And a short walk to great cocktail bars for an after- dinner drink. I highly recommend it!

It is hard to know if my photos are submitted or not. TripAdvisor is ok but it is very hard to know if my photos are submitted and what is happening with them, than impossible to remove double photos- I should be able to do it. Sometimes I do have a space to describe my photos sometimes I do not- why? Why don't you allow costumers to create their own albums with the photos. I would like to be able to add more photos to my review after some time. You are very inconsistent with the information how many guest review my comments. Also for some untrue reason you removed my review and photos saying and suggesting I was working for this restaurant...i wonder why specifically this one ???you had no problems with different ones. Very disappointing. Also just recently you removed my review ,you said what to remove from my review. I changed and removed some info and still you are not allowing me to post ! why? Let me post it. I travel to this resort ones a year and I want to write about it.

Omg, this app makes me so mad. I get about a kabillion emails from trip advisor begging me to write a review, so I try. I go to the TripAdvisor app, try to add a photo with my review but only about half of my photos are available to choose from and NEVER the photo I’m looking for. So I go to the “help section” of trip advisor and it says “you can’t upload pics from the app you have to do that from the full site”. Which is bs because I COULD upload a pic from the app just NOT the pic I wanted. So, I went to the full site via safari, which is a bigger headache. The main page is insistently trying to get me to search for a hotel or restaurant near Palm Springs, CA (which is about 3000 miles away from me and not a place I’m even thinking about visiting.) Then, when I TRY to write a review via safari it tries to push me to the app. I’m literally 43 minutes into trying to write a review of a great restaurant I visited last night and I’m still not done. Why do you make your site so difficult to use? Do you want to be obsolete? Is that your goal? You’re well on your way.

One Of My Top Five Apps!. I have used TripAdvisor for nearly ten years. I never travel or try a new restaurant without searching the site and reading the reviews. Recently, I have booked hotels and dinner reservations more frequently using the site. I have read some of the other reviews. I disagree with most of the criticism. I understand that this is a free site and that there is a company behind it that has commercial needs. However, if you have spent enough time using the site and the app, you will recognize the advertising. It's easily maneuvered to find the strictly objective advice. For example, I would prefer that the site did not default to "Best Value" ranking when searching hotels, as it is not fully reflective of hotel rankings by users. However, provided that you remember to change the default setting on each search to "Traveler Ranked", you can find the objective data.

Galway- our first stop. This was our first stop on our trip to Ireland, we traveled with our good friends. We were greeted at arrival and given a tour of the common areas and then on to our room. Rooms are very comfy and coming from the U.S. we like “moving air”, so I was so excited to see a fan in the room….it really is all about the little things in life!! Breakfast- you are given a paper with choices of juices, fruit, yogurt, homemade scones and Irish soda bread, eggs, meats, hash browns and “white pudding”. Pancakes and fruit and porridge served with Irish cream, delightful she said!!! Paul and Amy and little boy Ty are great host, they are very good at hospitality and making sure all your needs are met. They even arranged for a driver to take us onto our next stop so we didn’t have to take a train! Truly delightful. Thanks for a great home away from home. Texas Uhl’s

Navigation. I wrote a review and got auto corrected, didn’t catch it and now I cannot find the EDIT thing. Haven’t seen now if they send me an email to review and edit before it is actually published though. Also It would be nice if somehow the app interfaced with a map without having to go in and out of the app. Many times I am trying to find hotels, restaurants, attractions by locations and proximity and I get tired of having to go back and forth, would be nice to be able to ‘pin/ sticky’ note stuff within the TA app so I don’t have to figure it out all over again. I’ve started taking out my paper map and using sticky notes which works but would be nice to have something user friendly like that within TA app. I have used this app for many years and try to add a review each time I go someplace, and I really depend on this when I travel. Now I just tried to submit and it says my nickname is taken, it’s my nickname so what’s up?

Three Rs at the Residence Inn, Myrtle Beach. During the week of March 25,2019, Margaret and I enjoyed a very pleasing stay at the new Residence Inn at Myrtle Beach. Fun recreation, tasty refreshments and timeless relaxation. Joe May, Savanah and Paula responded to our needs at the front desk, and Clarissa, Tasha and Teresa ensured that our suite was refreshed each day. Charles at the bar helped with liquid refreshments, and Queens, Donna, Patricia and others provided a delicious breakfast each morning. Dinner at the hotel was sumptuous. Sea Captain’s House and Damon’s served tasty lunches each day. Take you to Glenn for assisting with the television hookup. Although the hotel opened less than two weeks prior to our arrival, minor construction and installation tasks were underway, with no impact on our stay. Chris Funderburk , Sree Organization provided us with a snapshot of the remaking tasks, and offered advise on other Sree operates hotels. Beginning with Mr. May, thank you all for a fantastic, pleasurable vacation.

Great potential. First i would like to recommend Enderson, he was our server and he was excellent! One of our appetizers took a long time so he arranged a glass of wine for me and my wife on the house. He was always very polite and friendly and attentive! The food was overall very good, but not excellent. I think they have the potential for excellence. They just opened two weeks ago and still working out some kinks. The glazed short ribs are delicious. Their risotto cacci e pepe is on point. The beef tartare was sublime with the smoked toasted buttered bread slices. Their Korean flavored cauliflower is creative dish and delicious. I didn’t care for the mash potatoes side nor the truffled fries; they were bland in taste. Mashed potatoes lacked some butter and salt. The red wine (Tempranillo) was too warm and almost beginning to turn into vinegar. Red wine should always be kept in a wine chiller, especially in hot and humid climates such as Aruba. Otherwise great place!

Marietas Snorkel, Whale Watching, kayak and paddle board Boat #1. We went out in Boat #1 with Pablo. It was SO much fun! Booked this as an excursion with our cruise. The crew did a phenomenal job. They were professional and courteous, knowledgeable and ENTERTAINING. They filled the travel time with such entertaining dance and music routines. The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll comedy show was AWESOME. The snorkeling, paddle boards and kayak was very well done and organized. We were able to see some interesting fish and we saw several whales and birds along the way. The lunch was very good as well as the drinks from the open bar. I was also impressed with the professional photographer on board that captured our day on film. No pressure to buy but he did such good work, we couldn’t resist buying the flash drive of our day. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat - it was the highlight of our cruise. Be sure to ask for BOAT #1 and Pablo’s crew!

Dorothy Martin, Home 2 Suite, Hilton. Recently, I had the daunting task of driving by myself, from Florida to New England. As a disabled woman with acute spinal issues, a cat, and a lot of luggage, I proceeded north to New England. It was a bit harrowing. However, I had the good fortune of meeting Dorothy Martin who was working behind the front desk of Home2Suite in Queensbury, NY. If everyone at any hotel had the attitude and mindset of Dorothy Martin there would not be a hotel on the planet that would be unable to bump its rating off the chart. Short of standing on her ear, I don’t there is a thing Dorothy would not do to assist her guest. Stand up and take notice please. She has an unending work ethic, she is kind and knowledgeable. Dorothy would ask for help if needed (thought I doubt she would need help) another indicator of a wise employee. Please stand up and take note of this smart, talented, gregarious, customer oriented woman working a beautiful Hilton hotel. Thank You, Linda Stultz

Playa Grande 2017 new year. Well first impression is good. Facility is clean and the hosts and staff are nice. I choose building O for the nice view and short walk to the beach. Building P was all booked. The 1 bedroom is nice and spacious with kitchen 2 bathroom 2 balcony. Get the higher floor 3 or above for better view. We have our first dinner at calina restaurant and it was good. If u want some free credit for food and beverage then do the time share breakfast if u dont care then skip it. The pool is nice and heated i think its a salt water pool it tase like salt water. Beach is very nice however because of the drop off near shore they recommend no swimming but theres people still swim. The beach is very quiet not crowded like cancun mostly because of the current undertow so not too many people swimming. You can walk to the left of the beach and climb over a rock mount then u will be at lovers beach which u can swim and u can see the land end rock arch.

Friendliest staff, cleanest and coziest rooms, reasonably priced!. This is a review for the best Western Inn at Facetock in Bandon, Oregon. We stayed there in a recent vacation and had been there a year earlier too. We specifically came back to this hotel due to the friendliness of the staff, the coziness and cleanliness of the room, and the reasonable price. The hotel is across the street from the beach so we’d wake up every day to fresh air and the sound of the waves. Every day breakfasts , included in the price, were always delicious and carefully prepared with many options. The check-in-staff, the cooks, the hostesses, room service attendees, were all friendly, professional and made us feel at home. Kudos go to Larry, the manager there, Eileen, and the rest of the welcome staff, who gave us great suggestions as to places to visit in Bandon. We highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel if you’re in the Bandon area.

How the World Communicates. When you want to know about something you come to TripAdvisor it’s just what you do when you want to learn about experiences fine photography no price points maybe find some good professional tips on how to avoid long lines something really special about a venue and maybe learn something that you’ve never known before so when you go and visit you find something special and Magical Place , TripAdvisor lets you do all of that and much much more, it’s like a collective consciousness of knowledge a dynamic body of growth, each day adds new experiences and people talk about them here , this is where the road comes to communicate and this is where you should come to get information on your next trip and if you have the chance look me up I have a couple reviews and places for you to go it’s a wonderful World let TripAdvisor show you where to go 🙏🏻

Wow - Pasta !!. We ran into this place by accident.... then read about it. We liked the look of the place - very funky but intimate. It seemed to (by comments) have devolved into something slightly ‘touristy’ these days. So we were confused but liked the hand written menu. We read and heard from the greeter that it was important to get a reservation.....(“Don’t be late, you have an hour and a half to eat.”). With all that we waited outside for the place to open at 8 sharp. The prices seemed a tad high when we ordered. TO SUM: The paparredali (sp?) I had was the best pasta I’ve ever tasted. The bisteka I had was tasty. Both dishes were VOLUMINOUS. Very large portions. My wife had the house specialty pasta and lamb. We could have just ordered one pasta dish and a ‘secondi’ and been fine. The atmosphere was terrific, the hard working server and owner/host were friendly. In short - this was 4.5 stars and a nice nice place to discover.

Every time I travel, and sometimes at home.. I love this app, I use it wherever I go to find places to eat and things to do. I return the favor by posting reviews everywhere I go... EXCEPT when at home. (I live in Vegas, and honestly, we want the tourists to mostly stay in the tourist areas. If you come to town to visit relatives, they may take you off the strip for a good meal, but the town is laid out for you to easily get back and forth in the tourist areas, and to be able to do ANYTHING you want while there, and for the locals to be able to avoid tourists by avoiding the tourist areas). I have traveled the world, this app has helped me out on four continents, didn’t get out and about on the fifth (work stopover), haven’t been to Australia or Antarctica yet.... and honestly, I don’t think this app will help much when I do get to Antarctica..... but it helps EVERYWHERE else.....

Worst service at Reed Nissan Dealership in Claremont Orlando.. Arrived at this dealership at 7:50 am for an 8:00 am appointment to service my 2016 Titan XD truck. One other vehicle was there with me, doors open at 8:00 am and we both pulled forward. The service attendant took care of the other vehicle, 5 other vehicles pulled up behind that vehicle and 2 pulled up behind my truck. All the other vehicles were taken care of except me. I waited for 25 minutes and it was as though I was invisible. All the service agents walked pass me as though I wasn’t there. I had to go to the agent at the desk to ask if there was a problem with me? Am I in the wrong line. He looked at me and asked if he can help me. This is 2020 and very little has changed. This is the 3rd Nissan I owned. Two of them were purchased at this dealership. I will never purchase another Nissan and will not recommend or return to this dealership. It gets very frustrating when you work in the Hostital industry and you train employees in great customer service and you go to another industry and you are treated like crap. All they do is take your money and wish they never see you again.

Quiet beach in paradise. We just came back from a 8 night trip to Secrets Akumal. The resort was of course beautiful. However, we need to mention the beauty of the beach and surrounding area. We walked both ends of the beach until we could walk no further. Going both north and south of the resort, we saw a variety of beachfront area. Some of rocky and barely walkable but beautiful flora and fauna once you walk away from resorts which is essential to see the more wild and scenic side. Please wear water shoes because you are wading in water and walking on rocks in some areas. Resorts can get boring so explore and meet some of the locals or talk with others from other resorts. That is how we learn the history of the area. A change of scenery is a must and helps us appreciate other thing’s outside the resort. We love talking with the locals and other tourists from surrounding resorts

Captain Freeman’s Inn, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. My Husband, Sam and I just got home from spending time at Captain Freeman’s Inn. ❤️ We had such a wonderful time and we were both so impressed by the friendliness, courtesy and care that both Laurie and Jason gave to us! The breakfasts were amazing, each delicious and plentiful! The afternoon iced tea and baked treats were so scrumptious and very much enjoyed! The inn, including our room , was spotless and so well maintained. Having the luxury of the swimming pool was just perfect and so refreshing after a long day at the beach, a long walk or just shopping. Laurie and Jason catered to our every need and they were always available to recommend restaurants or things to do. We highly recommend staying at Captain Freeman’s Inn. It was truly amazing and we can’t wait to visit again! Thank you Laurie and Jason❤️

Something changed. This is my #1 go-to app but something changed. It is now less efficient to find restaurants, for example. Searching Nearby used to show a list but now it shows a map and arbitrarily selects a restaurant regardless of my preference. It takes several steps to hide the Trip Advisor selection and find just the simple list. Also, if searching in a particular city Trip Advisor adds another Nearby option but you know if I wanted Nearby I would have selected it instead of entering a specific location. And finally if I select one of the groupings ( for example local cuisine or moderately priced I now have to apparently select food types like Chinese or Italian whereas before I would just see the list and then filter if needed. I hate it when something changes so much I need to start using a different app. TA take notice.

The app with the best review options at the best Hotels. I write all my reviews from my heart and my own experience, I read a multitude of reviews before booking my night or in most cases several nights experience before i move onto the next best hotel experience. I’ll be honest as i always am, i use a multitude of apps beside TripAdvisor and I also utilize their booking systems which all vary with cancellation and pricing structures, but mostly on the best hotel availabilities in boutique, antique modern luxury and historical or novelty categories and Not on American or International run of the mill conglomerates with cookie cutter rooms and facilities. The Travel experience is far better off with apps like Trip Advisor that does just that, advise of your trip, hotel and sites to see, instead of the pomp and misleading brochure and chest beating advertising of the others.

Marriott Beach Resort. We recently stayed at the Marriott Beach Resort in Curaçao and enjoyed our stay. Curaçao was colonized by the Dutch, so lots of guests are from the Netherlands, but the secret is getting out. Divers and non divers are visiting and discovering the charms of the island. The resort was very well maintained and clean, including the beach. The rooms were roomy and had enough room to store our clothes and luggage. Snorkeling in the cove was rewarded with lots of fish and coral reef. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly, especially Jaymy working at the adult pool and beach area in front of it. I asked him once for ice water and he continued bringing it to us whenever we were out. His back-up was Shavon who also did a great job. All the restaurants were very good, we even brought fresh Mahi-mahi we had been given and they prepared a wonderful dish for us.

Constant use. This is an update of my review reflected below. We constantly use this when we travel and for restaurants in our home area. We still think this app is very good and easy to use. One of the keys is that we find the latest places are included . However one of my pet peeves is still there. Reviews no matter how old. Are still reflected. A review over 12-15 months old does not seem to be current enough to matter. Things change, people leave, corrections are made . We use this in our travels primarily for restaurants and places to stay. Glad we see the good bad and ugly. However reviews should be purged after 12-15 months to keep out the old ratings. Have seen reviews going back to 2008 which makes no sense due to being relevant This has been my review for couple years. Need to purge old reviews as they have zero meaning as out of date. Today actually saw a review for 2007

It’s fun to share... but..... What I like about Trip Advisor is sharing of (what I believe to be) true experiences of travelers. I enjoy giving my true opinion to guide others where usual travel site, or travel agents might send you. What I do NOT like about Trip Advisor is the point/level messages. Who cares if you’re “in the top 10%” of reviewers? Or what % “helpful” views you’re given if you yourself do not get a reward? It’s ridiculous, like a video game to give useless IRL “points”. Although my motivation is NOT for personal reward, it would be cool to be offered one every so often. I do these reviews mostly to applaud small family businesses. I rarely review corporate “chain” establishments (I do occasionally though). Also, my reviews mostly (if you review my account) are positive & helpful, not bitter & vindictive. If I personally give a business a bad review... it’s bad.

Grand Luxxe at Vidanta. Once again we returned after 2 weeks of vacationing at our favorite resort Grand Luxxe at Vidanta in Puerto Vallarta. It was the ultimate vacation as it always is, never disappoints. But this year our concierge on the 8th floor of building one was a lovely young lady named Anika from Germany. She anticipated our every need and wish and always with a smile. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and our anniversary, and on each occasion some special culinary treats and balloons arrived making us feel very special. Beautiful detail. Our day maid Alejandra was equally amazing, always with a smile as she worked. Norma our evening girl just as lovely. Must also mention Jorge at the grand Luxxe taxi arrival area, who offered to take us in a private cart as the number 7 cart was full every time it passed. But I have to say, no matter who you are in contact with are special, which is why we have returned to Vidanta during these last 15 years as nothing else can really compare to the service, the beauty of the resort and the service. When they added the “plaza” . I was overwhelmed with happiness, cheese shop, French bakery, wine shop, delicatessen, and a little grocery store. Plus all the wonderful restaurants, a new one “limon y Sal” yum yum. So, thanks to the staff at Vidanta for making our vacation so memorable. Bodil and Larry Friedman 💃💃

Bead Waiter Review. On a recent trip to the Grand Serenis Riviera Maya in Cancún, Mexico we had a very good experience with all the staff we came in contact with. To mention one particular Head Waiter we had whose name is Aurelio, he went several extra miles in providing us with outstanding personal service. Glasses were never empty and his assistance with placing our food orders was imcomparable. Bell Boy, Juan Carmona, was second to none in providing personal attention. From the first time he picked us up in his golf cart to the last, he could not have given us any better personal service. He would stop and offer us rides whenever he saw us walking around the resort. Made us feel extremely special. Also Guest Services Manager, Giles Gautier was very helpful, knowledgeable and personable in assisting us with questions and resort amenities. This was a great place to stay because of the helpful and friendly staff.

La Gaviota Tropical. Playa Hermosa Costa Rica. It has taken me a couple of days to absorb my experience at La Gaviota tropical, if I had to describe paradise this would be it. certainly the nicest people, warm and accommodating Easy pace that made for a wonderful vacation. my passion is fishing and there was such a variety it was such a hard choiceTo decide between rooster fish , mahi-mahi or Marlin. the restaurant and food was superb. Every direction was yet another picture to be taken. I’m very tempted to move there once retired. I’d encourage any and all to go once to see and experience what I saw. I’d expect you’ll be like me planning to return. Thanks to Roberto and his wonderful staff, I told several that they may not know it but they live in paradise. Each a different character and each a big part of La Gaviota Tropical. Thanks to my new found friends, we’ll meet again. Signed Drew Robb.

A great resource when traveling. I come to rely on this app to find great restaurants in areas I never been before. My coworkers brag about the places I discover from this app. I use it when picking out hotels as well. The reviews help prevent me from staying in some dives. Just because it is $30 cheaper a night than the other hotels doesn’t mean it is a deal. I have made the mistake of saving $5 on a hotel and regretting to this day. Read the reviews and look for patterns in the reviews, do your due diligence on the reviewers also. If a reviewer gave a place a bad grade does that person ever give anyone a good review or is it even their first review. Find out why a business, restaurant or hotel got received a good review or bad review. Then decide if you want to visit that business. This app will save you time and money if you use it and you can find some rare hidden treasures while traveling or right in your hometown.
