Not Worthy. This app is no longer worthy of being considered a true Bloomberg product. While it may deliver relevant content, its stability has deteriorated to the point that it affects how other apps work. At least weekly, I have to shut down and restart my iPad to get BBW+ to work properly. Pages close without warning, ads pop up and rearrange the page, and some pages don’t even load until the app is forced closed and restarted, or the device restarted. I finally deleted this app and started a print-duplicate subscription via ZINIO.

Freedom of choice. The original app was actually very useful, especially the watch list. Unfortunately, every update made the features worse - the latest allows you only 25 stocks to monitor (probably because the developers know their app freezes or slows down to uselessness beyond 25) and two watchlists max (so too bad for you if you are monitoring more than 50 issues); plus, it will auto shutdown after a few minutes of use, without the courtesy of even a simple warning. All these new features in the updates were most likely deliberate, to hopefully make one subscribe to their professional version of the app. That's business! Still your choice to use or not - it's for free, after all.

Buggy app. Love the content but the I find the app buggy. I was forced to switch from the B-Radio app to this app and ever since I have incurred way more commercials. The preroll ads are very annoying because if I am listening to a radio show and the app or stream drops I am forced to watch another preroll ad before reengaging. Sometimes I am hit with a preroll ad, then more ads and then finally several mins later I get to the content. Vs if I open up iHeartRadio I can immediately start streaming. I find that my streaming radio drops/the radio function fails all the time while I am at home on WiFi. No idea why as I don’t have the same issues with other services.

A once nice app deliberately (?) crippled. The older (black background) version of Bloomberg was *so* much better one wonders why they seemingly deliberately stripped out so much of what made it special. Was it to drive users to an expensive paid app that most investors won't purchase? Bloomberg' sown FAQ concedes that Realized Gains/Losses and the Market Monitor features are no longer available. News for stocks in watchlists are also more limited. The portfolio performance and diversify model charts are also missing, but may return in a future release. Heck the portfolio listings won't even add the company name with the stock ticker as they used to. There was nothing wrong with the old release, which apparently they don't want folks using any longer, as it locks up after limited use with a reminder to download and use the new version, even to remove the older (preferred) version. Update: After a series of version updates, this app if anything has gotten worse. Slow response and lockups make for a bad user experience. And the original (black background) version we all liked? Bloomberg continues its crippling - Headlines and News no longer work, Watchlists no longer reflect edits, and sector analysis dead. Really would like to find an app more like the original.

Disappointed. Came to Bloomberg for something different than the nonsense on CNN, Fox etc. More of the same on Bloomberg. 24/7 hate on for Trump. I like watching Bloomberg TV but when trying to un-dock the TV and watch as a stand alone while using browser it has problems. Bloomberg should stop worrying about what soda sizes people can drink and spend time improving the app and content. Stick to business reporting and remain neutral on politics seems a much better route to take.

Bloomberg LP Review. I has been a client of various Bloomberg LP information services for many years. Even since I was the Vice-president and Director of Economics at the former Government Development Bank (GDB) for Puerto Rico. The bast cover of key economic and financial issues, beside other very relevant related issues is extraordinary. I was a client for many years of the excellent WEFA and S&P’s DRI information services. However, Bloomberg LP information services are always of extreme relevance and all updated with the latest information available. The professionalism and data checking in all articles shows an outstanding information system. As a regular reader of various themes of Bloomberg LP I always feel a great trust in what I read.

This is not trusted news, & poor experience. If you are searching for a non biased source of political news keep searching. I subscribe for the financial news only and ignore anything related to politics, and I only stay subscribed temporarily because I got a deal on my monthly subscription a while back. Also the app is repeatedly slow on my updated iPhone X, the app does not support night mode STILL so put on them sunglasses if you like reading news in a dark room, never mind disrupting your wife/husband next to you. Links within the app often take you out of the app and opens Safari where you have to keep logging in with your credentials, what a mess! I’ll most certainly cancel the subscription not because of it’s poor overall experience but on the simple basis that if I pay for news I expect news, not opinion.

Love the news but stock updates need work!. The news is always great and laid out nice. My big issue is stock updates. I just looked at 9:45am and it still shows the price from yesterday. It doesn’t say after hours or premarket prices and doesn’t update in the morning for a while. If I go on google and type in stocks or go to Merrill's app it’s always the latest. PLEASE FIX! I can’t rely on this info if it’s always delayed. Also, my stock list will say one price but when I click on the stock, it opens and will show a different price and time stamp. Very annoying!

Like the news, the app is a pain. Bloomberg’s coverage of financial news is first-rate. Unfortunately the app is not of that quality. It is slow, won’t let you swipe past a story until all the ads have loaded, which can easily take 5 seconds. On my iPad I constantly find myself launching the video attached to the story when I don’t want to ... then it’s again a slow process before the app will let you close it. The standard in news apps is set by the NYT and the Guardian. Bloomberg needs to up their game

Bloomberg Audio / Radio review only. I primarily use the app to listen to the live radio stream. The content, guests, and hosts are world class and if only reviewing them it would be an easy five stars. The issues that drag down the rating is the incessant amount of ads, especially irrelevant ads that repeat themselves. Understood you need ads to generate revenue, but it could be better organized to meet your targets and keep a listener happy. Worst part is the timing of the ads often cuts into the commentary making you miss vital information. Second the app draws a disproportionate amount of battery. I’m using a 1 year old iPhone 11 so it should be fine and don’t have this issue on even video streaming apps.

Back office could be better. This is a good source of news, however: There is no way to modify the GUI: The fonts are way too small and pinching is not available to increase their size on the screen. The back button is stuck at the lower left, out of reach for holding an iPad with two hands. The amount of news is actually a little sparse, considering Bloomberg must publish stories every few minutes. And the ads are fairly atrocious, frequently large, locked in place so that the news must scroll over them, and not really relevant to either the article or in my opinion a business targeted audience. Other than that, not bad :)

Loud Auto-Play Ads. Warning: This app AUTO-PLAYS banner ads WITH SOUND! There’s of course no mute button half the time, and Bloomberg likes it that way since it encourages accidental ad clicks. So you have to force-quit the app. Downgrading to 1 star until you fix this tabloid mess. Totally inexcusable for paying customers. You also can’t highlight text at all, what a joke. What to define a word with the built-in iOS dictionary? Want to paste a quote into a note? Well Bloomberg thinks they’re too special to allow highlighting, so you can’t. Now all you need to do is get rid of the ugly purple color scheme and go back to orange like you already do on your TV interface.

Good markets coverage, despite political bias. Good and timely reporting on financial markets and market-moving events, which is why I pay for the content. Two downsides: Saved articles are in some random non-chronological order, so if you have many of them, it is hopeless to try to find a specific article. Please allow sorting of saved articles, or at least do it chronologically! Left-wing bias on any political articles. Could you please just report the facts objectively, even if it’s about Trump or the climate?

Fix App Live TV Ads. Can someone please explain the live tv ad algorith?! When live streaming via web, there are limited ads and the live markets keep flipping over on the screen. This is great as I can track markets without changing screens. On the app though (same goes for the Smart TV app too), each time these live markets start flipping, I get the Bloomberg TV ad on repeat until the live tv show continues. What possible value does this add to Bloomberg? Advertising to an already paying customer while hurting my user experience has a higher probability of my finding an alternative content provider than spending more on Bloomberg. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that ads are important to fund the organisation, but showing the same ad on repeat 15 times in a row while I am using the product that is being advertised is just plain stupid. If you don’t have ads to show, just show the live programming. What’s more is, now I don’t get to follow market movements while watching TV so now I need to switch between apps to follow market movements too. It is seriously annoying. I am a big fan of your content but if this is what I have to endure there are alternatives which is less annoying.

Rapid, multiple ads on $35 monthly subscription. I pay the $35 monthly subscription fee, and am overwhelmed with ads in every article I read. The static ads are one image block, repeated multiple times through the body of the article, and the ad blocks are replaced rapidly every few seconds, with a new ad image. While this new ad image is loading, the text jumps as the last ad image was removed, because it takes up less space now, but there is still a big blank spot on the screen. When the new multiple-image ad loads throughout the article text, the article text jumps again to make room for the ad. Now I’m also getting ads that arrive with sound on, loading in one mystery location in the article, that you can’t turn off the sound. If you touch the playing ad wrong, Safari is opened because it wants to sell you NOW! These sound ads also heat up the iPad because it’s processing so furiously. Hey Mike, Why should I pay the $35 if I can’t read through an article? Are you listening?

Used to be good. If you want to sit through 90% of commercials and 10% actual business news, then this app is for you. The app used to be great when you could get excellent business and world news as well as top notch market commentary; however, you now have to listen to commercial after commercial until you get a quick market update or some nugget news before the commercials start again. I’ve deleted and downloaded this app several times hoping “this time it will be different,” but it’s still the same. It’s too bad because I used to rely on Bloomberg for update date business news.

Poorly explained and defended view points. They only give a one-sided views on everything happening. The demonize and take quotes out of context of people they don’t like or agree with. Just because you don’t agree with someone doesn’t mean you can demonize them by taking there quotes out of context. Very sad to see more fake news in the news circle, but I shouldn’t be surprised by it... won’t be recommending or using from now on unless they change to showing facts as facts, stop demonizing people they don’t care for or agree with, and give more than just a liberal view of events happening in today’s world.

Switch Back. Before the recent update, there is a lengthy list of news from different sections (including Most Read section), and one need to scroll down for quite some time to get to the bottom of it, which makes the app addictive. But, in the recently updated version, there is just a For You page, and that’s it, beyond the trending news section, and you can literally read through all headlines under 5 minutes. I can notice a significant drop in my Average Time Spent on the app as a result of this change. In essence, I don’t see how the newly updated version is benefiting Bloomberg’s readership retention rate & engagement metrics.

Ads on a paid service is greedy. I really enjoy the content that Bloomberg provides but that has been completely overshadowed by the invasion of ads. As a paying subscriber I do not want to be flooded with ads. For a news service that is so expensive, it is absurd to also force ads into your news. It feels cheap to have clickbait slapping you across the face three times per article. There are plenty of consumer financial news that can easily match that of Bloomberg however I really appreciated the content their staff produced. It is a disservice to the writers and everyone else working on the platform by forcing their content to be smeared with ads. Please make a clean and unadulterated reader and you will have a five star review as well as my subscription back.

Recently, the app just evaporates from view. From a paid subscriber using an iPad Air: A few months back the Bloomberg app began simply dropping off the screen (leaving me at my "home" screen). This seems to happen when I press a link to open a new page (story, video, chart, etc.). The failure rate is about one in four or five attempts. This problem is unique to Bloomberg ... other apps work correctly. It's very frustrating to use the app now and since no "fix" has appeared in several month's I think it's time to unsubscribe.

Deleted the Bloomberg App today. I deleted your app today because one of the three « things you need to know today » was a blurb on Sarah Sanders leaving the press secretary position, and it was rude and obnoxious. I get that she doesn’t share your political philosophy, and you don’t like her boss, but it’s an incredibly hard job, she’s a working mother and I believe she tried her best to do it well and get people the info they wanted. She’s leaving - couldn’t you have been gracious for 2 or 3 lines and wished her well? Many of us lament the loss of civil discourse in recent years - this a perfect example of how some people in the media feed the flames.

Terrible Research App. This app is supposed to be able to deliver you market-related news. That’s why it exists. However, unless it’s current or fairly recent, do not expect quality archives - even of Bloomberg’s own old articles. I’ve used this since it’s debut, very bumpy road of updates, addition of ads, more monetization, now paywall, all of which are tertiary to DELIVERING NEWS. If I type in a stock symbol and you can’t even bother bringing your own articles written about the company, what is the point of using the app?! But I do appreciate the morning daily digest so I know what Wall Street thinks I should care about for the next 24 hours. That’s semi-helpful. But...There’s a laundry list of features this app is missing, all of which it either used to have or could easily be added so I never use it very long.

Content is great, app performance is horrific. Bloomberg has some of the best reporting and financial news anywhere. Unfortunately this app is so slow (5+ seconds to pull up an article) that it doesn’t do the content justice. They need to fix the app performance issues because over the past 6 months it has essentially become unusable. On a fast internet connection this is simply unacceptable.

Beware if you need support. Got a subscription on a promotion and eager to use. However could never get the app to sync with my password. Possibly an issue of using hide my email from Apple with the app. The app sort of hung when I tried to link my account number too. Spent over an hour trying to sync the credentials from my iPhone browser to the app before contacting help. Help / support seems to take the night off….. when you are able to get to it. Don’t expect much from the chat - it will just the info down and give you a ticket number.

New look, new format, terrific!. We used to use the app just for my wife and I to watch a specific article/topic. We're making hardware changes in our entertainment corner and switched into app instead of watching the usual feed on SLING (which we're dropping for XFINITY pkg giving us internet speed rush). Wow! New format containing all the info from sidebar & crawl now available...better format than either previous, easier to watch, love it.

Lifetime user finally gave up on this. I've been a user of this app since 2006. I've seen a lot of features and news and data and charts be removed since its high point. The watchlist has been near useless for anything except a total, not accepting edits, only additions, when it functions at all. It's about as far from user-friendly and elegant as I can imagine. Shameful considering how dense and useful their screens used to be. The latest update just crashes on iOS 10 and that's the end of the line for my phone. As a lifelong Bloomberg Professional user, this free app was the first thing on my home screen. Now it's garbage.

Canceling a subscription is tedious. Amazing you can sign up with a couple of clicks. But be prepared to spend some quality time on your phone to cancel your subscription. First they give you a link that you can’t select on your phone. It’s just out reach no matter how you turn your phone or shrink or enlarge the screen. Next you sign in twice with your password to chat with a single minded AI system. It won’t let you just cancel. It has offer after offer to try to get a yes from you to continue your subscription and the support never gets back in touch with you. Don’t sign up for subscription unless you plan to have it for life.

I didn't expect this from Bloomberg!. In 2018, I have to drop the ratings to 1 or below, not because of the excellent information that Bloomberg's highly talented team of professionals compile (Kudos) but because they are forcing a subscription model on a variety of services including live tv. I guess my ratings wouldn't bother Bloomberg but app ratings work similar to investment ratings and not always relates to the app design itself and can also reflect public views on the company's motives. In 2014, I rated the app with 5 stars with the following feedback. Excellent and Outstanding! The recently updated app is phenomenal. Especially, the customization features and seamless integration with Bloomberg Radio app. It gives a great feeling of the world market dynamics is at the finger tips. An essential for all finance and economic professionals or for that matter anybody who wants to have greater control to their investments with access to a vast pool of information and resources.

Excellent. Wonderful source of latest news approaching from either political side. Excellent use of primary and secondary data points. The articles usually have an itemized summary in the beginning for those looking for a quick read. I once looked at articles from The Economist, NYT and WSJ to get an unbiased view of the latest news, but Bloomberg is truly all that you will need.

Great for anybody!. After first downloading Bloomberg some of the magazine articles, market updates and data were overwhelming. Though, after subscribing for a few months I have a little bit of a better understanding of economics, international politics and have read great articles on topics ranging from North Korea to the Opioid epidemic. According to my perspective very accommodating to people of all political beliefs (I guess as this is business focused and not liberal/republican etc) and great to read.

There’s room for improvement. Ads are on even for paying subscribers like me and they start playing in the background while you can’t turn them off anywhere in the app. I have often encountered some bugs which have to be fixed like for example having to tap mulptiple times the save button or other buttons until it gets the command; This has been happening pretty often lately. It lacks dark mode and the editors should really consider adding it as an option for less eye strain reading.

Good content, poor experience with the app. Bloomberg has content that I like to read. The iPad app, though, feels like it needs a lot of work. The main issue is that scrolling a page is very frustrating - jerky motions every time. I must say that my iPad is older (although with an up-to-date operating system) so maybe after I get a new one it will improve.

Opening Advertisement Annoying. The opening advertisement they put you through before opening Bloomberg Radio is annoying and often hangs up. The app also does not start playing again after intrruptions and I haft to manually close and re-open and thus go through the annoying advertisement once again. I recently realized I can avoid this by listening to Bloomberg radio through other Radio Apps that simply play the station.

Warning about the update! Article Limits!. When did Bloomberg start limiting my article reading? 9 Per month? Seriously? I guess I don’t have to read articles with your commercials embedded. Also, I refuse to give up my email address to create a watchlist so stop asking Bloomberg Big Data analysts. They used to not even need this info for their best version 3? Years ago. They currently don’t need it on the mobile phone app, but the iPad version still won’t let me edit a watchlist without giving up more personal data. TV functions have gotten better but still a far cry from what it once was. Is it so hard to let the tv sound version run in the background without having the actual app up? Bloomberg TV used to be my radio going to work every morning.

IOS 14.6 App constantly freezes. Just installed this a couple days ago. The news articles and stock tools are top notch. Still trying to navigate through everything; however this APP constantly freezes every few minutes. Consequently, unless this is quickly fixed, i will have to ditch this APP and cancel my paid subscription. Thing is, i see this being a common theme here in the APP review section over this last month. Evidently, it is affecting only IOS, from what i can decipher. So Bloomberg, hopefully you can get this resolved soon or there will definitely soon be an exodus of IOS users departing from your APP Store revenue stream. Please get the fixed.

This feature needs to be added!. For some reason you can’t access the Bloomberg Calendar on the App. Other than that, incredible. It will be my #1 source for news and economic information for my trading the next year (2024). I have access to Bloomberg through school. The phone app and everything I have experienced so far with Bloomberg is very well designed.

Disappointed. I pay for the Bloomberg channel with my Charter television subscription. When I watch the channel I also put up with all of the advertising. When I try to watch the Bloomberg channel on my mobile devices they say they limit me to 30 minutes per day and this still includes the commercials. Charging a fee to mobile users and still having commercials on the channel is double dipping if not triple dipping when considering my Charter fee. I recommend watching alternative business news channels where you currently only pay once. Bloomberg is not that special and has become another sales channel for them to sell their their software services.

Bloomberg radio. I was using Bloomberg radio until they made me use this app. I have to hit 10 times more buttons to get to the radio. I do not mind the commercials, but I start and stop the radio about 20 times a day. I do not want to go throw all the hassle of hitting all the steps to listen to the radio. What happened to the day you could just push the on button and had all the presets of your favorite channels. It was only one on butter and one preset 1/2 second and bam noise that you want. The phone has more but it talks longer to do what you want.

Excellent content but bad app user experience. Few major issues with the app 1- plays video ad randomly and on high volume. Imagine you are reading your news in the air port or coffeeshop and suddenly something is playing. You cannot find exactly what it is. Sometimes I had to close the app. I set the setting to never auto play a video, but still it does it. We are paying a premium for this service and my expectation is to not see aggressive adds. 2- app content doesn’t update some times. I have to close the app and open it. 3- it is very narrowly customized to my reading history. I.e., Over fitting. Now I only see few topics

A great app from a great company. I was excited to see an update to the app because it has been such a pain. All in all, to sum it up: great content terrible after delivery. Lots of user interface bugs. The Apple TV version is also similar in that it has excellent world class content with poor streaming delivery and difficult navigation. Certainly keeps me at bay from being a casual subscriber. I have used the app and enjoyed the content for a long period of time. You’d think they would eventually get it together and do some testing before rolling it out. I’m a big fan of the Bloomberg organization and the reporters, anchors and content creators but when it comes to app development, testing and quality control, there seems to be an anti-Apple virus or something because it just is too much for too long period of time.

Dark theme mode?. iOS Dark Theme mode please!!! I don’t know why but the app pages are so bright that it’s like looking at a light bulb. Also, it would be nice to at least slightly customize the pages (maybe I missed this). As an example, I think the opinion columns are interesting but it’s not why I subscribe and would like to not end up with so much emphasis to read them. Most especially I don’t like the endlessly political biased opinions when fact based journalism about Washington (and state issues) almost don’t exist as compared to opinions - save that for blogs and talk radio. The built in ads can sort of get like that as well sometimes

Interesting content. Costly subscription doesn’t remove Ads. I’ve been enjoying the news digitally on iOS and MacOS. After signing up for the costly subscription I still see advertisements in the app and on the website which is disturbing considering a premium price. The watch list seems appealing to me so far but it would in fact be better to improve the summary and overview capabilities of the listings for small device screens. Perhaps allowing landscape format could help some situations.

This is really a 5 star app, but there are bugs:. 1. App frequently freezes during a commercial (generally with 3 seconds left) and then I have to restart. (I am on a 2020 iPad Pro and am running PadOS 14.8). 2. Because the audio is muted during the commercials, I frequently do not notice the freeze during the commercial and then miss program content. 3. When I do reboot, yes, I am stuck with a commercial, again Please fix this, developers. Please respond back with comments. The content of this app are phenomenal. Well worth the good chunk of change they charge. BTW…. I notice that critical reviews, ones that contain bug reports or complaints are NOT RESPONDED TO. What gives? All critical app reviews of 3 stars or below should be responded to within 48 hours. That is just good business AND, fundamentally, respect for the customer. Get with it!

Bloomberg is a must have app for college students. I'm a sophomore in college and we don't have cable at my house, so it's often difficult to contribute to classroom discussions about current events. Bloomberg is a quick and easy way of staying up to date on what's happening around the world. I find myself spending more time on Bloomberg's mobile app than on my other popular apps such as Twitter, Snapchat, and Facebook.

Much worse than the previous app. Briefly here are some of the issues I found to listen to Bloomberg radio: 1- Every time you connect there is a video you must run. If you don’t have enough broadband and can’t play it, you’re not connected to the radio broadcast. 2- The app crashes or stops running very often and you have to reconnect. 3- every time you reconnect you have to listen to a bunch of initial adds, before listening to the broadcast which in turn has quite a bunch of adds It is not unusual to miss half of an interview or commentary because of the above

Advertising Videos keep playing for paying subscribers!. This is supposed to be for business professionals. Even for paying subscribers, the ads are on, there is no way to turn them off, and extremely irritating videos selling useless stuff keeps playing automatically with audio as you scroll to read the news. This is not just distracting, and causes you to lose focus on the news articles, but for business professionals, you cannot use this app in business settings (like a meeting) because the audio for these ad videos will play automatically while you are reading an article. And they have multiple of these audios per news article, so a video could play 3 times or more as you scroll thru to read a single article. And there is no way to turn this off. And note again, that this is for a PAID subscription. Unacceptable. Turn off all ads for paid subscribers, or make it free.

Tiny Unreadable Text - Useless. The developers of this app either do not know or doesn’t care about their target readers. Text sizes are about 60% of other online news apps. Even extra large text setting is only ~80% of standard font size of other news app! Bloomberg, a business and financial journal, should know their target readers are typically older, so the developers decided to make Bloomberg text size much smaller & harder to read than all other news app - go figure. I downloaded this app but I don’t use it because I couldn’t read the articles. I suspect many others felt the same.

Performance is Unacceptable. Bloomberg News and the journalists reporting it are second to none but this is not where the 1 star is coming from. This app’s performance is terrible. The ads coming in at a rapid pace while reading an article jumbled the words all around and makes it hard to hold your place in the article. On top of this the massive processing power this takes will overheat your device and drain the battery quicker than any other non-gaming app. Considering Bloomberg can cost up to $35 a month this performance and ad invasiveness is unacceptable and until that changes I would not recommend using your phone to view Bloombergs content.

Good luck trying to cancel your subscription.... Customer service is essentially non-existent and it blows my mind. I want to temporarily cancel my digital subscription with hopes of rejoining later when it makes more sense for my situation. In order to cancel, there’s no number to contact and you have to send them an email via their “customer support” portal. Well, sent them an email and surprise surprise - no response after a week. Sent them one a couple days later and still no response. With it being so difficult to cancel I doubt I’ll ever want to re-subscribe. Save yourself the headache and don’t get their digital subscription if you can help it.

Update is horrible. Still more of the same. Opened app and the first 2 articles are hit pieces on republicans. What happened to financial news? The last update changed the look so that now I feel like I am mostly seeing left leaning op ed articles. This is completely unacceptable for what is supposed to be a business news site. It used to be a good site for fairly objective news that explained the economy. Now it should be filed with CNN, ap, yahoo and other yellow left leaning journalism. Objective news is getting to be a relic of the past in favor of tilted news to either side. Shame Bloomberg. Close to deleting.

Best financial publication. I could not imagine my day starting without Bloomberg. Nor finishing. Thank you

Good content but the app experience is trash. Incredibly frustrating trying to read an article via paid subscription (that is not cheap by any means) and the entire OS slows down to a point i have to forcibly turn off/restart my device it’s so processor intensive. And this is a latest gen iphone. The main problem I suspect are the many ads which keep loading every half screen of content even though again this is a PAID subscription. Very frustrating and I’m considering just canceling my subscription. Lots of ads, very processing heavy app, slow and crashes not just the app but the entire OS.

Can’t hear videos. Have no issues with all other video streaming apps but since the latest update, Bloomberg videos lag and the video get prioritised over sound on talk shows!! I would expect better from a renown brand like Bloomberg.

Pop up Ads, Slow Performance for a paid subscription !. I believe in paying for content and have chosen to do so, however this is an incredibly frustrating experience as ads pop up after reading just 1/2 of the available screen and dislocate the actual text as you are reading. This is a paid subscription and this level of intrusion is truly unacceptable. I wish this was the only issue: the slow performance after a few read stories and the inevitable closing down the app, restarting the app and hunting for where you left off. There seems to be a performance update every other week..skip this app, skip the subscription if you like reading Bloomberg on your phone!

Speed. News very updated and quick.

Excellent App !. More financial videos will be good to keep me posted while on the go.. esp while driving..

Too many ads. This is a paid subscription. More than 50% of screen space is taken up by annoying ads making it almost impossible to read an article on the phone app. Seriously Bloomberg get your act together this is embarrassing.

Not as good as it was. Bloomberg once was a leading phone app providing market information. It was a resource we could share by sending links to third party groups, who could read the article because in the past Bloomberg allowed non-subscribers 4-8 free articles. This was good advertising for Bloomberg. This is not an option today. And Bloomberg is no longer a go-to resouce.

Not a bad app, but the free article limit is too low. I use app often enough, but the main problem is that the free article limit is very low and a premium subscription is ridiculously expensive. I would suggest lowering the price of the premium subscription or adding extra tiers for a different number of articles.

Great app for accessing market information.. Have been using the apps for the last ten years. It is easy to use and the market information provided is very informative. Thank you.

Awesome. Great app a pleasure to use :) Please consider releasing a paid version to turn off the ads

Good App, But…. The app has serious issues when working with iOS. While using the app my iPhone would get very hot and become very slow, the whole phone would automatically lower brightness and reduce cpu capacity. I have recently purchased a new phone and the issue is persisting, meaning it is not an issue on my end. If that issue can be fixed, the Bloomberg app would be 10 out of 5.

Tell Apple 🍎 and self. Tell Apple 🍎 and self With a update does every customer need Chrome cast support or china language support and if they don’t why can’t we tick yes or no at this time and be done with that update. Not all updates are applicable to all users. So we fill up our phone hard drives and waste our time. Make us select what’s needed and what’s not. But always keep app performance super fast.

Great content, but slow and overheating. Bloomberg has great content. I use an iPhone XS Max. The app slows after 5 minutes and then after about 7 mins stops entirely. If I switch apps and come back it is great for another 5 minutes. Are the video ads not being cleared from memory after I have scrolled past or after I have finished an article? Looking forward to the the update the fixes this issue.

Good StockMarkets app but.... Good one-stop app covering the financial markets and first with the news, but has become too openly political and opinionated on non-financial issues. It used to focus objectively on facts but now it’s content is cluttered with irrelevant editorials that have nothing to do with investment.

Mutes music to play ads. There's no reason for Bloomberg to turn off my music, but it does. Please fix.

Old bloomberg better. I love business news. Still think older versions of bloomberg had better content.

My opinion on Bloomberg app. Great app - easy to use & news is informative.

Data consumption is too high. This app consumes unreasonably high amount of data even just scrolling the titles, compared to Twitter or Facebook. Hope this can get improved soon. The contents are usually quite useful. Sometimes someone contents are not up to date and stay there for days. Overall this is a very good app.

Scam!!. Be ware, cancelling your subscription is so hard, they keep blocking your account several times so you can’t do it. Took me 8 attempts and an hour of my life. Can’t unsubscribe from the app neither. I thought they were honest and reputable people... doesn’t look like it

Terrible. Unfortunately this has become a bad app. Very slow. If you view charts too much they stop working (it really wants you to subscribe). Deleting today but thought to drop a review to warn people that it’s not very user friendly.

It’s good but too few free articles. I always look to Bloomberg first thing each day but enjoyed it more when there were more free articles

App causes iPhone to crash. Bloomberg really need to get this app fixed It constantly causes my iPhone 12 Pro to heat up and crash like most other recent comments. This is not a one off occurrence, it happens daily

I Love Bloomberg watchlist and market data. I really enjoy my Bloomberg data and watchlist. My go to to for overseas share info

Ads ruin the reading experience. I pay more than $400 a year for a Bloomberg subscription, because I value the quality of their reporting. Unfortunately the ads they serve in this app makes we wonder if it's worth it. I've been trying to use this app on my iPad Pro for the past year, and have finally given up and gone back to a desktop browser, as the ads totally ruin the reading experience. Loading a page, and having it constantly reformatting in order to fit in ads as I'm scrolling the text, breaks my concentration, and ends up destroying the value that I think I'm paying for - the ability to read the content. Most pages contain more ads than content. At least on a desktop I can use ad block to work around this.

App makes my phone overheat. Recently this app started making my phone overheat. I’m not sure why, it happens when you’re just reading articles (not even watching videos). I’m using an iPhone 11 mini on iOS 15.1

Review. Overall gives me good overall news on what is happening in the world with some very good well written articles. However there is far too much fake news clearly written by very inexperienced and young journalists who don’t get their facts rights and put a spin on it to sensationalise just to improve reader numbers.

Amazing info, but needs night mode. This is my go to apps for news. Just wish there was a night mode option for the before sleep reading

Recent update - just what Doctor ordered!. Much faster to load and use now since the update. Good work.

Good for finance news but has a problem. the new version although it looks nicer has a some problem, no Dark mode! It’s giving me eye strain at night, please add this! Stuck at 🏡 would love this feature, many other news apps have this. Also notice it’s starts to slow down after a while of use (20-30mins) scrolling articles gets very sluggish and choppy animation then it crashes. Memory leak? And that’s on iPhone 11 with plenty of free space (100+free gigs)

Bloomberg. Still a disappointing app for a mass change a while ago .. bring back the old app .. watchlist on current app could use significant improvement

Needs dark mode. Good app, informative and well maintained. I would give it 5 stars if the UI had a dark mode, because this is possibly the least night-friendly app in the entire store.

Subscription Thoughts.. Such a privilege tO have access tO thiS platform. To have knowledge, and utilise it accordingly in wisdom, can benefit your financial position. 🤙.

App crashes. Using iPhone 7 Plus. Whenever I click into a story, finishing reading it then click the back button, the home page appears for a split second then crashes back to springboard. Was able to replicate it 7 times in a row.

Good Simple App. The iPhone App is very good. Easy to use with all the market information easy to access with up to date news and alerts.

Bloomberg. Good value and best reference point to view share holding

offline content. Great news content is consistently delivered in this app and is always appreciated. It would be a fantastic addition if saved videos & audio could also be played offline (ie. on a flight or train). Thanks to please consider adding this feature!

Not good anymore. Was using this app for last 5 years, after every update they keep on removing some features so the users can pay money to keep on enjoying those features. Sorry not going to pay for basic features, plenty of apps in App Store to do the same thing, it’s time to move on to different app. Thanks Bloomberg for last 5 years.

Suits me fine. Got the info I need and updated in real time. Couldn’t ask for more!

Bloomberg App Useless. I had run the Bloomberg app for a long time, have put up with advertising turning up all over the app in an annoying way but find it is completely useless. The problem is there is nothing to read - constantly wants you to subscribe. Subscription is quite expensive when you consider the news is constantly pouring (and repeating) out of every media source for nothing. See your later guys.

Bring dark mode for heaven’s sake!. I love the app and how it works. I just wish we were able to select and copy text off the articles and that dark mode was an option for reading during night.

The Breitling Ad. It is an excellent app in generally but that one star is deducted because of the Breitling Watch advertisement. It slows down the app and sometimes even causes a breakdown of the app. Hope this can be utilized very soon.

Bad reading experience. Numerous ads and placement of ads all over the article makes reading for a subscriber very very difficult. The number of ads running on your mobile and iPad deteriorate the performance so quickly and eventually shutting down the app. That makes no sense to subscribe to an app where you can only read at < 50% efficiency with so much interruptions.

Great app. Great app for market news. One issue I have on my iPhone is when Bloomberg radio is playing , the Lock Screen buttons don't work eg pause play, and they don't work in the pull down player either.

App crashes continuosly. This and the apple tv app have to be the worst apps for crashing - particularly when going to ads - then device requires a restart of the machine for the app to reset and start up again.

The recent update is terrible. I have been using Bloomberg for a long while. From black-colored background to now while-color. The recent update makes the apps really slow, switching from tab to tab will freeze for a while, sometimes half minute. I understand that the service provider would like to update more functions, better layout etc. But I wish Bloomberg not to forget the basic things we want from the apps are “Fast, straight forward, easy-to use”. Pre-update is good and fast. Not sure why it has to be updating the apps so frequently from good to bad.

Bloomberg on Apple TV needs a bug fix but content great!. Content and news presenters on the ball I have a problem with the Apple TV live streaming of Bloomberg - when I exit the live stream and try and re-enter it comes up with an error. Also too many ads and goes for a bit too long - a small 1 star minus for me but 4/4 for what’s important.

Stephen The Stockbroker. An abundance of information on stocks, companies, politics and World events. Very useful to get an overall review of markets and news headlines to keep my updated and up to speed.

Top class. Full of information statistics latest news and market guider Information not complete unless paid subscription

Best app. Having tried more than 20 apps for market tracking and in depth analysis, I can certainly vouch that this is the best app in the market.

Text Column Spacing Makes it Unreadable.. There is no spacing between text lines and no ability to make text larger. Garbage if you have to work hard and squint to read!

Disappointed in the merciless customer service. Not unexpectedly, the promotion period auto-renews as a full price subscription. I made this mistake, and was charged $300+ for a subscription that I never accessed. I was surprised at the merciless approach that Bloomberg took when I contacted their support team. They did not even consider refunding in part or whole, simply parroted their terms of service with a bit of condescending corporate fluff for good measure. Disappointing to me that they do not treat their consumer customers with the same respect as their corporate clients. Based on this experience I would not use Bloomberg products personally or for my corporate teams.

Nothing wrong. Just add dark mode please.. Love the content, app is not glitchy and it allows me to track my portfolio. It’s just a bit hard on the eyes because the screen is so bright and I recommend adding a dark mode. Please.

Similar layout to website but more clunky. Navigating the application is pretty much the same as browsing Bloomberg on a desktop. Unfortunately, articles are regularly filled with annoying advertisements, for paying subscribers. The application also consumes a lot of battery power and is often erratic. The FT app & website are significantly better than Bloomberg’s.

Rip off. Rip off

Use to be useful w.o. subscription. Bloomberg introduced subscriptions a while back and has been gradually reducing the amount of content you can use without one. Now it is pretty much pointless to bother with this app unless you are willing to pay the monthly fee.

Can’t Afford the APP. I really enjoy Bloomberg. I can afford the TV channel and listen to it on Sirius with my lifetime membership. I would really like to read and see videos on their app I find the app very unaffordable and quite useless unless you pay. I am considering deleting it because shares very little information without payment. Not interested in a trial to tease me into payment.

Ads for expensive Subscription?. It makes no sense that such an expensive subscription, which I’m happy to pay for, has so much advertising. The pop-up ads and regular ads are incessant and detract from your reading experience. Had to go back to web-based version with ad-blocker

Rip off. The app doesn’t recognize my subscription, which I have had for years. The app keeps denying access saying I have used all the free articles.

bloomberg. the worst of the worst

New Format. Do not like the new digital version

Great iPhone app but tougher to navigate on iPad.. Much more complicated in new iPad app.

Paid requires subscription. Unfortunately isn’t free

No longer works unless you’re paying for it. The app no longer gives information on companies, like industry, market cap and charts. You need to pay for the most basic of functions. The app is rendered virtually useless now. CNBC & Yahoo Finance are way better options

Stop adding and removing features.. Right now half the screen is seemingly permanently asking me to choose sections to follow. I have done my selections. Stop asking my to chose. It is a ridiculous waste of screen real estate. Secondly, “the Bulletin” come and goes with no apparent reason. It’s a good news flow section. Please return it once again.

Be careful with subscription policy - predatory. Be very careful. Trial offer becomes an annual subscription that you cannot exit or get a refund for until your annual sign up date. Not worth the annual fee for what amounts to a lot of personal opinion pieces.

Ads for paid subscribers?. A paid subscriber here. Going into any article you would see ads in the middle of it. Very disappointed…

Very buggy app. I just renewed my subscription all access and for some reason I have as much content as a non subscriber. And when I tried to sign off and to sign back in, my account was locked. Made an inquiry and received an email with a link to unlock my account. When I clicked on it, it was invalid.

Subscription makes this app useless. Must give more without subscribing; add revenue should be enough. Greediness is not attractive.

Beauty. What a fine tool you have here, a Swiss Army knife.

Poor performance. App rarely opens, when it dies open it is very slow. Disappointing performance. I deleted it.

Bug report. Unable to turn Bloomberg TV into full screen on iPhone 14 Pro

no darkmode. it's 2022

Listed companies financials and technical analysis. I would like to have access to more financial details of the listed companies and technical analysis and since your service is paid I really appreciate to have less ads while watching market reports

Biased reporting creep. Seems to be taking more of a political slant than objective, fact based reporting. This bias may also be causing integrity issues within other parts of its platform. I like to see it balanced with its usual strong global perspective.

Saturated in ads .. even for paid subs .. terrible. I have an expensive annual unlimited digital sub, and am still SATURATED in ads. 1 large ad to every story, or very close to it. I’m going to cancel my sub. Too many better and cheaper options, such as the WSJ app.

DO NOT ACCEPT LIMITED-TIME OFFERS. Bloomberg is great but if you accept a limited time offer, you will be charged their regularly rate (like $50.00 USD per month) because cancelling your subscription is nearly impossible. Their app-based cancellation directs you to a link that says you have no subscriptions and their phone support has twice not picked up after 2 hours on hold. This has been a horrible experience for me.

Awful. Just terrible

Have a free ChatGPT bot. It should be able to do anything and be able to create charts historical charts etc.

Pay wall. The whole app is now behind a paywall you can’t even get a quote on the nasdaq, this stuff is free on thousands of websites for free… been using this app for 10+ years very dissapointed

Love the content (5/5), app is 4/5. Wish you could highlight text (to look up words in the dictionary) and I wish it remembered where you were last in an article (the old old version did that).

Best market data. Best market review, however skewed bias when comes appreciation of market era under Trump. Unfortunate.

Bloomberg News. Great site. Very timely, topical and informative.

Freeze contantly. This has a lot of good informations, but it freezes constantly or reloads. Problem is caused by the big amount of adds.

Avis. Meilleur site pour suivre les portefeuilles qu’on peut créer

Not the same. Used to be that you could read 3 free articles per month, now it seems you can only read 1. They now entice you into a cheap trial period before cranking up the subscription to a crazy amount. It really is a shame, considering they have some good articles.

Font. Ability to increase font size substantially from what it is now would be much appreciated.

Too many adds. Great information but far too many ads. There are so many in the news feed it it’s difficult to read through.

Quite expensive the access to basic functions. After the recent update, access to many functions is now subject to subscription: here in Canada at 45$/month. Frankly speaking too high for a home user of this application.

Great CarPlay integration!. The CarPlay integration with sponsored available live broadcasts is a game changer for this app. It’s now my morning and evening commute! Great job, Bloomberg!

Very limited. The free app is basically useless. Can’t check historical info on stocks and market.

Where's Canada??. I downloaded this app hoping to review stocks on the TSX but when I clicked on 'Markets' it lists the US exchanges, Mexico?? and Brazil?? But not the American's leading trading partner?? Hey, up here!! Yes, we're quiet but we're still here. We're not a state!

unlike the financial times app this bloomberg app is chaos. every time i open it i can’t easily see the latest articles added but a stupid mix of articles posted days ago with one posted an hour ago. i pay for a subscription so can i get info quicker & on time. please fix. & so hard to access Saved articles too. how many taps needed?! geez.

Ok. App doesn’t have dark reading mode

Disappointed. I didn't expect ads with paid subscription

Ads. I already pay for access to the articles. The amount of ads is too much for a paid subscription.

So many ads. Paid subscription yet an ad between every 1 or 2 articles on the home page.

Subscription scam. Found super interesting article that requires a subscription. After subscribing, the article did not appear like I expect.Searched subject Labourer and American spelling Laborer and subject Desiger. Results included chocolate! Organize Labor etc.

Too many ads on paid subscription, and app is slow and glitchy. Bloomberg provides great information, but even with the high price for a subscription, there are still so many intrusive ads. The app is also very poorly designed, slow and often crashes.

Holy ads, Batman. How much do you have to pay to not have ads? Or even just a couple ads… the latest update has THIRTY ONE ads on the main page. Always the fastest to news and great articles but the ads are making me crazy.

Media feed needs fixing on most delivery methods. New BBG allows 30 minutes of free live TV daily. Unfortunately, because of buffering or other system issues, you’ll watch the first minute, then the first minute again, then the second minute, and then the second minute again, and so on. Happens on iPhone, iPad, AppleTV BBG app, and Fidelity Apple TV app. Radio also frequently drops and replays the same ads. Stopped reading articles as $35/mo is overpriced. Thank goodness I can still get Matt Levine’s Money Stuff via email (would be great if readers knew which paywall the links are behind though—hidden behind proofpoint urldefense).

Updates have ruined this app. A few years ago Bloomberg was the best app in their field. Unfortunately, it’s become one of the worst as the developers have made several unnecessary changes. One such example is the markets page. In earlier versions one could find futures in one or two swipes whereas with the current revisions it’s a cumbersome fumble. I love Bloomberg radio and TV but the app is a classic case of making change for the sake of making change.

Drains battery at 0.5% per minute of article reading. For the past year or so, this app has been draining my iPad mini at about 0.5% of battery life per minute when reading an article while on WiFi. Reading 20 minutes costs 10% of your battery, and my iPad gets physically hot. You can read the headlines without issue; the battery drain only happens while reading an article. I sent an email about the problem over 6 months ago with no fix to date. The iPhone version of the app doesn’t have this problem.

Two many ads every time app is select. I don’t mind listening to ads in the the middle of the program. But every time I turn on the app I have to listen 3 or ads before I can listen to the program that is on. Not only that when I Resume after a phone call I had to listen again to ads. So I will be removing this app very soon if I am subjected to this kind of forced listing to all these ads that I had listen so many times. You have only few ads to run. So very annoying.

Bloomberg is my news filter. With about every other source turning to clickbait and emotionally driven coverage, I can count on Bloomberg to deliver the bottom line on a lot more than the market. And the market coverage is still excellent. Love Bloomberg and the app is clean, simple and easy to get to the things that matter to me.

App forces you to abandon Safari. The app itself is great, but unlike NYT or WSJ apps it forces you to abandon Safari and use the app. I like to open up multiple tabs from the newsletters and read them at leisure, however because the Bloomberg app forces Safari to redirect to the App (often multiple tabs at the same time), I can not manage my reading. Sure, you can bookmark them but then it becomes a disordered mess. I had to delete the app, if like NYT or WSJ it didn’t seize control it would be a five stars.

Slow, slow, slow and getting worse with each update. Did I say this is one ponderous app? It is slow to load, slow to move between tabs, slow to download its numerous ads. It is an awful app. I pay a steep annual subscription price. This should be faster, like pretty much every other iPad app I own. The web site version of Bloomberg doesn’t suffer from this poor design. Bloomberg should fire their development team and replace them with competent coders.

A great and reliable source of financial information. If you're looking for something beyond a lot of opinion and fluff use the Bloomberg app as a centerpiece of your search. This app avoids the noise and narcissism of so much that's on the Internet these days. It provides the solid and eschews the sensational in its financial reporting. I depend on it.

Easy to use stock and copper futures. Intuitive and informative with very current financial and political news. Good information about what impacts what on national and international scene. Long time user, just the basic free content. Excellent site. Have my own quirky approach to investing but this is one good information site for reaching my goals of financial independence. PS .. I made it unless the world blows up.

Slighted. We all know that when it comes to business news , Bloomberg is the go to source of information. I love all the information that is available to me but I have an issue that is a huge let down. I pay $40 a month to just access the app itself and still have to watch ads when I want to watch a video. How can we justify running ads on an app that’s $40 a month. Do we really need ads? I think someone should look into this issue .

No way I’d pay for this. I was considering a premium account, downloaded this and tried to make an account, the verify email link just brought me in circles. I had to copy the link url and paste it in a browser to proceed without it looping me back to the app that wanted to verify my email. I started making and watch list and was shocked to find I couldn’t add rvx to watch Russell vol. To top it off I can only add 25 tickers to my watch list. No way I’m paying for this, I probably won’t continue to use it for free.

Not sure what value this adds over the web on iPad. The most annoying is that it frequently opens an article I briefly touched while scrolling the page. Then it’s very slow loading the page I wasn’t going read then going back to the page I was reading. It’s also inconvenient that it doesn’t let me select/copy the text for searching on the web.

Best content. UX improvements would help.. Bloomberg has one of the best content out there, and I love it. The app can do with better navigation. The feed is good but the hamburger menu options are confusing. Also, please make a dark mode / make it compatible with phone dark mode. This is standard support available on almost every top publisher app out there.

Something Changed. The App used to replicate the articles on the website. Now the App is presented like an abbreviated version of the website that’s more difficult/less efficient to use than the website itself. This effect is exactly the opposite of what an App is supposed to do. I also find the number of ads and their presentation offensive given the price I pay for the content. I find myself navigating to the WSJ App as well as others far more frequently these days. I’ll cancel my subscription if these issues aren’t addressed in a timely manner.

Massive downgrade, stealth attempt to double the price. Used to get Business Week digital with my print subscription in its own app. Now that app has been removed and I’m being told I have to use this app (which is cluttered with a lot of non-BW stuff I don’t care about or want to buy), and that suddenly my subscription is worthless and I need to pay AGAIN. To make it worse, I asked to end my print subscription due to this terrible change and was told they would immediately stop sending me the printed renaming BW magazines I have PAID for. Greed, mismanagement, and incompetence all rolled into this app and it’s support.

“Listen” feature crashes. Both iPad and iPhone app crashes when using the news feed “listen” feature. I’ve tried rebooting and re-installing app. It has gradually gotten worse. Now it crashes during first news story, when it used to crash on the second or third one.

Great business news. Really enjoy this app and the variety of business and world news discussed in a manner that is to the point. A good collection of opinionated articles on current events and economic commentary as well. I find myself spending way more time reading everything on a daily basis and ignoring my social media. Job well done Bloomberg! Thank you!

Too many distracting animated ads and videos that start when you don’t want them to.. They make plenty from their subscription then abuse readers with flashing ads (today’s is for Truist) and videos that start when you don’t want them to. Ironically it makes me not want to buy anything from the advertisers that they annoy you with. If it doesn’t stop I’m going to cancel and just rely on the Economist for my news. Economist has now gone daily with their news updates, is actually cheaper, and they know not to abuse their readers with junky ads.

Good content, need better access. Great content, but I’d like to be able to listen to surveillance reasonably soon after it airs, but the shows are not posted for some time. Also it would be nice to be able to lock my phone and continue listening, but this seems to be spotty. The content is there, but not super easy to access. When it was on Bloomberg radio (Ferro and Abramowicz) it was easier. Please improve this!

Much improved with Dark Mode!. The addition of Dark Mode greatly improved this app, and larger fonts are another welcomed option. The ability to listen to articles is helpful (more articles need the voice option).

Not a good enough replacement. I subscribe to businessweek and I used the businessweek app to read articles. They are getting rid of the businessweek app and moving it into bloomberg, but the existing subscription I have does not work. They are forcing me to subscribe to bloomberg digital which is more than 10x the price. Furthermore, this app does not let you set the homepage to businessweek. So they want to extract hundreds more dollars from me and give me a worse app. Why in the f would I do that? Im just going to start getting used to reading businessweek via Apple’s news app, it is a channe there and my subscription transfers.

Great app - Room for improvement. I love the news and the app but every once and a while I stop receiving notifications and I need to delete the app and reinstall to get the notifications to show up on my phone again even if you play with the settings in the Notification Center something weird happens and they don’t show up

Gone downhill. I used to love this app, it was my go-to news source and pulse on the markets. There is still good content, but I feel like I’m waking on eggshells with the article limit. Also, they’ve slowly removed useful information (like US bond yields) from default settings, which I have no idea how to re-institute. I sadly will probably look for another source for my information. I’m fine with ads, but really dislike the exorbitant price they want to charge for subscription.

Career enhancer...no...career saver!!. Reading at least 60% of the content published daily - your business intelligence has really helped my career and enabled me to impress peers and supervisors at work and has also aided me in getting into my dream educational institution (nailed the interview)- University of Cambridge. I’m mostly an introvert but when it comes to talking about business issues, I can initiate and lead endless discussions thanks to you!

Useless now. This app used to be a go to place for information on stocks from all over the world and I’ve used it since 2011. Now there’s so much advertising and pay wall blockage that it’s basically useless. Information is very limited or not available. I think multi billionaire Michael Bloomberg has enough money in his bank to knock down some of the pay walls. Most of the articles are left-wing, leaning right ups nowadays, but the real issue is the lack of data now available on stocks and bonds.

Media playback. I am now unable to take full advantage of Bloomberg’s high quality contento because the app does not allow media playback without leaving the app, which is a bit frustrating and was possible with older versions. I hope the feature is enabled in future versions

Poor accessibility and pointlessly crippled app. While Bloomberg itself has good content, this app is not disability-friendly. The articles can not be shared to Pocket (or other reader software) which is critical for some users. The app also don’t allow playing video in the background, which is pointlessly limiting to productivity. Lastly: I have a subscription… but if you don’t Bloomberg hides important journalism behind a paywall. All of these factors need to be reconsidered by Bloomberg.

The New Bloomberg App. I too am a long time listener with no financial background. I have benefited from the exposure to new opinions from your guests as well as the various hosts. It previosly provided a,“public good”. My grandchildren would joke about my preferences;but they received exposure to news content not available either on standard stations or public radio. Regards, A listener

Barely Worth Consideration. Using the Bloomberg app is like driving a 1955 Ford. It gets you down the road, but not much power or style. The editorial staff is talented, but wastes time telling us same old hate speech. They refuse to call The President by his title. It’s just not showing proper respect for our Duly Elected World Leader. Mayor Bloomberg you could do better. Please!

Need to do much better. Lots of basic functions missing that you can see but cannot search. Search functionality and tickers extremely backwards. The fact that a paid subscription sees annoyingly crappy repetitive ads on live TV for 3-4 mins is offensive to a paid subscription. At least try to be better about ad content. You have more sophisticated investors and having an ad machine taking repetitively like a parrot is bad advertising. Make the search and tickers from Bloomberg Professional available here for the data which is free to see in this lite subscription Clearly you have not spent time with high net worth retail and lack of focus and shoddy work shows on this app You can do better. You are supposed to be world class

-All audio and video has an advertising paywall of my time. Even after payment of hundreds of dollars for a Bloomberg subscription to access decent journalism, each screen scroll, each audio click, each video clip and each show has a time paywall of embedded advertising that consumes my limited time - turn off the ad’s for paid subscribers otherwise why subscribe? Competitor CNBC app has greatly improved their journalism and spontaneous news coverage without wasting precious time.

Great App but Room to Impove. The Bloomberg app is much better than prior versions with combination of video and podcasts. The only thing that might make it better is repeating ads after being disconnected from the online network. I would recommend getting the app for both the younger business generation as well as the older generation who like the radio format.

Simply The Best News App. I rarely write reviews, however it was impossible not to express gratitude towards the quality and professionalism Bloomberg delivers. I have used different news providers and I’m happy to report that this is simply the best out there. Worth every penny. Thanks

Paid subscription but can’t access articles. I paid for a subscription but continuously receive a message that I am reaching my “last free article”. I access the app, see I am logged in, but same message. There is no customer service to ask. I bought a subscription to receive helpful information efficiently, not waste time trying to figure how how to access simple articles.

2 issues: dark mode / Apple TV app lag. Hi, I love Bloomberg News and have been reading, listening and watching its contents for many years. I think 2 things can be improved from my experience as a user: 1. iPhone app: Create a dark mode setting or an overall setting that mirrors the iPhone setting (with a feature to select texts + larger font) 2. Apple TV app: I have fiber but I’ve noticed that the voiceover doesn’t always match the screen. Maybe it’s lagging due to the overloaded screen (I.e. too many data points). It was nicer to have a less cluttered look and faster app Thanks!

Once great. The information and those that wrote for Blumberg taught me how to invest… Bloomberg has now changed to more of a CNN model and a lot of the people that had sustainable and substantial information in order to grow as an investor have been watered down but give us three stars A little sad because of the commercialism now that the number has moved to although although I still enjoy it and use it daily

Business App????. To me it seems that this site offers more politics than business. I signed up cause I’m sick of all the Political noise on most sites. Thought this would be different. I have also read articles that have a definite political bias. Just read one this morning complaining that social media sites didn’t have enough Orwellian, anti free speech, moderators on them. This author obviously has TDS and the point of the article was they have to be able to censor information that’s not MSM. This was a waste of money. Love to find a BUSINESS APP that wasn’t all TDS or Maga.

This was the best. I love this app. Wish you would increase the number of free articles. And the paid subscription is pretty prices as far as media content. Not to say it’s not valuable it’s just pricey for anyone on a budget. Maybe an ad supported version is a good idea. Love Bloomberg love the radio and I even subscribe to business week. My favorite media source period.

Rip off. Application allows for 5 free articles a month, demanding significant fee for full access. And that’s despite the fact that the app is filled with commercial advertisements. What’s even more frustrating is the overly sensitive interface, which often leads to article being open, while user simply attempting to scroll down, thus reducing the free article count. Unfortunately, the app has very little to offer in terms of value or original reporting with roughly 80% of articles being simple reprints of other financial news sources.

App is great but. I pay $35 a month. I get emails every day from Bloomberg. When I hit the links in the emails, it takes me to the web, where I cannot read the articles. Please please please— have the emails link to the app. Or, I’m not sure if this is happening— are you promoting articles in the emails that I have to pay more to read? Ridiculous with an already crazy expensive monthly cost.

A $35/month service should not have ads that break the software. A lot of people have complained about this but it is true. The ads get placed in the middle of stock lists, articles, and main pages. It makes half of the software unusable and the adds are not even good they look broken. The bar for the add will go through the entire Center of the screen edge to edge and take up a solid 3rd of the screen height only to play a small 3”x3” add in the middle. Software is unusable i cancelled my subscription after a day

Abysmal performance due to constantly loading ads. This app must have been written by the same developers behind the New York Times iPad app. It’s so busy constantly loading ads while you’re trying to read an article that scrolling doesn’t work and when you touch the screen it thinks you touched an area that you didn’t because it’s busy moving the screen to make room for other ads. Whoever wrote this sure didn’t try it out. I’m running iOS 15 and a relatively new iPad and I’m ditching this app and cancelling my Bloomberg Digital subscription.

Tracking is very disappointing. I block trackers on iPhone. The Bloomberg app will not let me log in, as the login screen is intercepted by trackers from a company called PerimeterX, with whom I have no relationship nor interest in. This is an app I pay for that is asking me to be tracked to access my paid account. I do not want to be tracked nor do I want to see ads on a service I pay for. Please re-think your processes and priorities from the view of the customer.

Streaming always freezes during ads. Can you please fix this on your Apple TV app? Every once in a while when an ad is playing it freezes and never goes back to the current show. I always have to exit the app all together and then relaunch it so it can continue streaming the show. I’ve been through many versions of Apple TV and tvOS and they all present this same issue. Please, prioritize this bug. It’s ruining the watching experience.

Stale. The reporters an anchors are superb, but the commercial breaks are long, repetious and startlingly loud. Every time I click on a commercial plays before content comes on. It is the same growingly obnoxious patter. PSA are ancient. Whoever writes their spots needs to take RTv 101 over. I long for the humor of “I’m a Cat,” although that is Stall as year old Wonder Bread. The current crop of spots are deadly. Breaks are so long it interrupts the flow of programming prompting me to pull my AirPods and do something else. As for the air guests they all speak in the conditional tense hedging their comments and insights to the point of uselessness.

Great News, Awful App. Great content, but that’s about it. The app itself is just flat out horrible. After minor use, overtime it causes the CPU usage on your phone to skyrocket, making your phone heat up and drain the battery faster than ever. Not to mention that _even with a paid subscription _ you still receive ads. They also recently introduced auto-playing video ads that you have to manually mute in the middle of articles, it’s so annoying.

$35 a month for this?!?. This app is now telling me I have exceeded my free articles and need to purchase a subscription to read what is given out for free on their website. Its a shame- this used to be my go to news source but this app isnt worth paying for a subscription to use- especially the STRAIGHT UP CRAZY FEE they want per month. Bloomberg wants to charge monthly more than my gym, more than I pay for any other subscription. I cant believe anyone would actually pay $35 a month for a news site (or any site honestly).

Content is great but the app crashes every 10 minutes. I’m operating on the iPhone 13 Pro Max that is up-to-date. The application crashes all the time for me I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, closing the app and re-opening it. Everything. It doesn’t seem right for them to charge the amount that they do per month for an application at crashes on me as often as it does.

Drains my iPad’s battery like crazy. Usually like the app, but it started chewing through battery like crazy. Probably have to uninstall. Update: Battery drain continues with latest update. Caused by “Background refresh.” The refreshes cannot be turned off. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP! App is currently unusable. Update 2: Issue was finally fixed. The developer notified me of the fix. Wish it had been faster.

Predatory subscription practices. I gifted my wife a subscription to Bloomberg for 2021. It was not within this year’s budget to renew. However, they jacked the price 3 fold somehow auto renewing our subscription. We tried to cancel right after we noticed it but their customer support department was unhelpful and plain disrespectful. They argued we received an email . But among the spam of email they sent, we found one full of ads and mentioning it in fine print. We would have been happy to pay the prorated rate but customer service is bent on destroying relationships.
