I can not access the app. I signed up and paid for a month and I can’t even access the app, it has me at a screen that says finish sign up or watch trailer , and every time I click finish sign up it tells me my subscription info , but won’t let me proceed , please refund

Unable to sign in. I am unable to sign in after downloading the app. I have been a subscriber for a while but when I try to sign in it just takes me back to the sign in window. I hope this can be solved quickly or I will just unsubscribe!

The service and disregard is atrocious. I have been attempting to use this app literally for years and never received any assistance but somehow the payment system works perfectly to keep charging you payments for an app that never works. I can’t even explain the issues at this point I’m unable to login and I have no clue why. I just created a new account and it’s literally the same issue from my past two. It keeps redirecting back to the login after I just created a password for the account. I go to type in my credentials and it keep sending me everywhere but the the movies.

The receipt you are trying to register is already in use.. Well, if there were a number to call customer service I would have. I’ve paid for and downloaded this app but it will not allow me to watch a thing. It both recognizes my subscription and denies me access. I have only one device on which I’m trying to watch. It would be awesome to hear back from someone about this bug. I could have asked Apple for a credit by now but I want to use this app.

Do not purchase - bad app and bad customer service. Do not purchase this app. I just purchased and when I try to sign in on my tv it stays on the sign in screen but won’t actually get in the app to let me watch anything. I tried to sign in on my phone and it is saying the receipt you are trying to register is already in use. I contacted customer service for a refund and they told me no refund and stopped communicating altogether. How can I not receive a refund for something I can’t use. Are they really that desperate for $4, that they would rather have a bad review? And I was double charged!

I tried. I really like the shows The Cut and Family Time. But, your app is whack. Half the times I cannot view the shows. They won’t play and the won’t play continuously. During this time with COVID I would just like to get away. And watch some comedy. You’re app is not worth the 3.99 plus tax a month. Sorry I tried.

Horrible Service. I have renewed my subscription and still can not log in. Contacted customer support and all they can say is we forwarded it to technical support and I will have to wait till they contacted me. Then I can’t get a refund. Save yourself the headache and hassle and dont get app. When it works it is ok, but when there is a glitch they just show how slow they are in taking care of an issue

I LOVE this app!!. I am a 70's movie/ blaxploitation junkie and this app has it all to all my favorite Pam Grier movies to all the old Richard Pryor movies and a whole bunch more from actors I love and admire like Sidney Poitier, Calvin Lockhart, Glenn Turman and the guy who stars in all the Penitentiary films and a whole bunch of stuff I have never knew about or seen in my life. I watched a couple that I have already fallen in love with like Melinda and Aaron Loves Angela...this app is AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for making Brown Sugar!! I think if you added The Mack and just a few others it'll be complete, once again I LOVE BROWN SUGAR!!!

Can’t log in. Subscribed to the app but it will not let me log in. It says finish sighing up when I select it it says you are currently subscribed then when I select contact support it opens my web browser just to tell me to download the app

Unable to View - Renewal Subscription. I have renewed my subscription. I am unable to use the app. I have completed all of the instructions given on the app support page. No luck. I plan to cancel my subscription. I’m very unhappy.

Great App. In a few years with membership growth this will be better than Netflix. It's basically Netflix in Black...,excellent app I have suggested to all my friends we love it.

I Love The App. I love the app. I love being able to watch so many black movies!!!! I love that I can watch the shows from BounceTv on the app. Family Time, Saints and Sinners etc. They have added some very good movies. Keep up the good work Brown Sugar.

More titles please!. While I appreciate the fact that there ARE hard to see titles like Mario Van Peebles’ ‘Don’t Play Us Cheap’, ‘Penitentiary’ and The (early) Pam Grier Collection the selection (compared to other movie apps) is pretty thin. I haven’t viewed every film but I’m hoping the size of the library will increase significantly or it may not be able to compete for long.

Loading. I have watched some great shows on this app, however I’ve been trying to watch more but it keeps saying “loading” and nothing will ever come up. I’m going to unsubscribe now.

I’m upset. I’m upset because I renewed my subscription and now when I tap finish signing up it won’t continue to the movies. Someone needs to help me ASAP

FRUSTRATING!. I use to love this app. But now, the app is frozen or something because it’s stuck on the screen were it says watch trailer. I’m just trying to watch my show but it won’t go to anything else. So now I’m paying for a subscription that I can’t even use. I’m so annoyed.

Need more titles. So many classic black films out there you would think this would be the channel that would have them all. Here are some examples, “The Mack,” or some Richard Pryor, Sydney Poitier, Harry Belafonte or some more films that defined the blaxploitation era??? You could at least have Hattie McDaniel, she was only the first black female to win an Academy Award.

Won’t work. I purchased this app today being very excited to look at the Bouncetv shows and the app. keeps saying loading and I can’t watch a thing! Im so disappointed for the app not performing well! Please fix this.

Make App Better. Take a look at other streaming Apps and improve this App. Every time I come to the end of an episode, the App stops and instead of going back to the series page, it takes you completely out of the App. Please do better; I enjoy your movie and series selections, it’s the “little details” that ruin the experience.

Help!!. I love this app! I watched one movie via my phone to chrome casts yesterday, and now I can’t get anything to stream.. it just keeps the brown sugar logo and says ready to cast on the tv and on my phone it’s loading. I have tried almost everything.. please help!

It’s great but.... I have subscribed many times to brown sugar and honestly it’s great. They have classic movies and original shows to watch. It’s definitely worth the cost. However up until recently I’ve had issues with the app. I subscribed to the app and was able to watch and have unlimited access to everything on the app. A couple of days ago, I logged out of my account and it wouldn’t let me back on. I’ve tried sever times to get back in but it wouldn’t let me. The worst part is the app still recognizes my subscription but it would allow me to log in, it’s the craziest thing. Any other time I would be a passionate advocate for brown sugar but now not so much. I still like the app but I probably won’t be subscribing unless they get this problem fixed immediately.

Keeps crashing.. the app crashes every time after I finish watching a show or movie. This has been an on going issue since last year. I subscribe for a while when my favorite shows are on but then I unsubscribe. However, I need my money back for the past 2 months.

No longer happy. I am not happy with the shows that are now offered. I’ve been a long time subscriber who loves Blaxploitation movies. Where did most of them go? Car Wash? Shaft? Anything like these? I don’t want to see corny shows. I want god 60’s and 70’s movies. If I don’t see a change within the next month, I will gladly stop my subscription.

App issues.. Love the app and all the good movies on it. My only problem is this app cost per month and it will not cast on my tv. I have no problems casting any other app on my tv but this one just doesn’t work. It’s really inconvenient to have to hold my phone or iPad all day just to watch it.

Never able to use no refund given. I was so excited to download this app. But twice I was charged the $3.99 but was never able to get past the log in screen. This was so frustrating and the tech support just kept going in circles with no resolution. I still have the app til 11/24 with no way to access it . I do not recommend this app.

Not Working. I love the concept of the brown sugar app. However the quality is not good at all, most of the time I’m unable to stream on my phone, iPad, or fire stick. I’m unable to login without error messages on all 3 devices. I have even canceled subscriptions and created new accounts and it still does not operate properly. When it does work I’m unable to play some of my favorite episodes.

Love it so far!. I’ve used the app on my iPad and Apple TV. It has worked great on both. I hope the list of movies and tv shows keeps growing!

TRASH. Every time I attempt to log on to this app, I have problems! I rarely use the app because there’s always an issue with log in, however I’ve been paying subscription for months! Subscription cancelled!

HELP. I’ve downloaded & removed ... power cycle my device & still cannot get past “watch trailer” & start your week free ... when I “purchase” again ... I log in ... it says the receipt your trying to access is already in use ... frustrating & I haven’t even explored the app!!!

App isn’t Working. I got app , and all day I’ve been loggin in , deleting app, and reloading thinking it was a glitch. I subscribed to watch Saint , And Sinners , but the app keeps giving me error message. The bad part aside from trying all day to watch material is; It isn’t a customer service number listed to solve issue. The idea for app is perfect, however it would be great if as a customer I could view material. Also it would be great to add more stage plays to content choice. I hope this gets more organized like Netflix! Right now this app is hottt mess!

What Happened. When I first downloaded the app it had all the good movies, such as Shaft, Truck Turner, Hitman, Black Cesar, The Penitentiary, and etc. Then all of a sudden now all I see is Comedy Shows and Bounce tv shows and all this other jive that don’t matter. This is supposed to be a blaxploitation movie app but where are the movies. I am unsubscribing. When you add all the classics back plus more I’ll come back.

A lil disappointed and confused. 1st there’s only like 5 categories, trending, what’s new, Brown Sugar A-Z, comedy and romantic could of at least put a action category. But the one thing that has me really disappointed/ confused is why is The Crow on here and no Black Caesar or Hell Up In Harlem? The search don’t work, every time I search it just says “start typing to search”. I type in foxy brown just to test it nothing pops up but the movie is on the app. Another thing is when I click app support it just goes to the download app page which forced me to write this review instead of going directly to the developers. There’s more but I’ll be writing all day. This is a dope app and I’ll continue supporting but there has to be some changes in the future. Please drop a massive update soon

Not working. I purchased the subscription without the week trial. I’ve been trying to log in & watch for a week & the app isn’t working. I log in & it stays on the home screen telling me to try again later. Very unhappy with this purchase.

Concerned. I enjoy this app but recently the movies I enjoy the most have been removed. I referred it to my mom to go watch some of the old movies and they have also been removed. It has been great while it lasted.

App doesn’t work at all!. Keep telling me sorry try again later, I really hope I’m not charged for a 7 day trial that I’m not even done signing up for because I can’t even get to the finish sign up page. Idk what kind of app this is supposed to be but it doesn’t work at all.

Needs Help!. I was very excited to learn this app existed. I don’t have Bounce TV and thought this would be a way to see the shows I’ve missed. This app is terrible. It force closes constantly and now that I’ve logged out, it won’t let me log back in. Until it is fixed or revamped, I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Good, but......... I think this is a good app but not enough movies... no Pam Grier??? Come on.... needs more of a variety and instead of the tv shows, I think it needs to be all movies... it’s too many classics to just have a few.... Please fix this issue..

No Sugar.... I absolutely love Brown Sugar, but unfortunately, I’m unable to watch it. I’ve updated and even deleted the app and reinstalled it and it still won’t work. Much like some of the other reviews, until they fix the issue, I will not continue to subscribe as much as I love the movies.

Out the gate and running last🤬. The search field is just bad there’s no way to back out of your search. And when playing a video no forward 30 seconds or scroll back 30 seconds. It’s 2018. At least have the basics. And where the contact us page in the app Why do I have to go back to iTunes Store type in Brown Sugar and dig around to find a support page. Come on man get your( ish) together it’s embarrassing.

Fix search engine. The search engine doesn’t work on the app. Scrolling through the whole movie list isn’t enjoyable and quite frustrating. I like the selections but fixing this would go a long way to making site and app much better

App functions very well on iPad & iPhone. It appears that your app does not have the video-out functionality enabled. Therefore when I attempt to use an HDMI adapter to look at shows on a TV screen I get no picture. Are there plans to enable this feature ?

Needs more work. First off, when I tried to go in and use the app on my AppleTV- it wouldn’t even load. It’d just kick me back out to the AppleTV’s main menu. After several tries, I ended up having to delete the app, restart my AppleTV and re-download the app. Finally, I got the app to work but then I go put my sign in information in and it says that it can’t find my email nor my password. I don’t see how that is when iTunes just charged me $3.99 to renew the subscription. This app is ridiculous. I’m very annoyed and disappointed.

The App is trash!. I’ve uninstalled the app, created new logins/ subscriptions and still haven’t been able to sign into the app. Support has been zero help. Spoke with some woman from support today and she was absolutely no help! I wish I would’ve read the reviews from 4 years ago because the app still has the same issues.

Amazing App and Customer Support. If you love classic black movies and TV shows this app will not disappoint! Easy to navigate and watch from any Apple device. I had an issue logging in and contacted their customer support and the blew me away with how the took ownership of my issue and made sure they fixed it quickly. They really care about their users and it shows.

App doesn’t even work but charges. I got to use the app all of two months before it started only taking me to the trailer and sign up page. Even created another account to pay from and nothing works, yet I’m continuously being charged monthly. Requested a refund for those unused months...we shall see.

Unable to stream. I’ve had login issues which didn’t allow me to access the shows and movies. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m a resubscriber but every time I logged in, it would tell me to finish sign up but never load the page. I tried to create a new account and the same thing happened. I wish I had a better outcome because there is one show that I really want to see but doesn’t stream on any other app.

Frustrated!. Signed up for the free week and it appears that I’m signed in. The problem is that it doesn’t take me to the programs. It sends me back to the page with options to either sign out watch trailer or start your free week. I click on start free week and it asks for my Apple ID then says the receipt I’m trying to use is already registered and takes me right back to the sign out, watch trailer or start your free week options...it’s a continuous loop with no ending 🤬

Sign in Screen. I purchased this App thru my Apple account. I could not get past the login screen, I went through all of your troubleshooting. I hit the sign in button from sign out to sign in and re-signed in, still “The receipt you are trying to register is already in use”. I received an email stating I needed to put my credit card information back in to finish setting up the app. I purchased this app through Apple so I didn’t use a credit card. I just wanted to watch the new series “Act Your Age”. When I looked up reviews online, I see a lot of people are having the same issues with the app. Finally frustrated I asked Apple to refund my money. Please correct the problem, from the reviews it’s been going on for over a year and you are losing paid viewers.

Not Bad at All!. Some of the best Black cinematography out there. But, too much Rudy Ray Moore movies. Little less of Rudy Ray Moore and more classic like Shaft, The Mack and Superfly.

The app is terrible. The movies are great,I love all the shows, but every time you finish watching something the app closes out. You have to reopen the app to watch something else.

Does not play!!!. I used to love this app, but every since the Saints and Sinners season 3 came out, videos won’t play for me. The screen is black on Apple TV and it crashes on Fire TV. If this isn’t fixed soon, I will be discontinuing my service!

App Keeps Foreclosing on Apple TV. I really like the app, but after a week it started foreclosing.

DRM. I can’t seriously recommend this to anyone if all your videos are DRM and you can’t HDMI them out to a TV. This 2018 not 2001. Stop stealing money and advance your product. If not someone will just come along and do it better.
